Works with
One hosted connector, the same eight read-only tools and the same VO sign-in in every assistant. Nothing to install.
Claude
In the directoryVO is listed in Claude's connector directory. Add it from there and sign in, or add it by URL under Settings, Connectors.
ChatGPT
Developer modeWorks today through Developer mode on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu, where you add VO with the connector URL. VO is not in ChatGPT's plugin directory yet.
Other assistants that support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in may work with the same URL. We write setup guides only for the two above.

04 / Privacy
Access and privacy
Sign-in
OAuth, in your browser, with Google or your email. Your assistant never sees your password, and nothing is pasted into a chat. It receives a short-lived token that works only on the read-only connector tools.
Scope
Your own listening only: what you heard, the moments you saved, your listening notes, and the public VO catalog. Parts you did not hear come only as a chapter-by-chapter gist, never word for word, and never anyone else's listening.
Logging
We record that a tool was called, whether it worked and how long it took. We do not log what you asked, what the tools returned, or any episode text, note or saved-moment content.

Trouble signing in?
Most problems come down to the email you signed in with. If yours is not covered here, email contact@vo.fm.
My assistant finds nothing
Either the account is new, or you signed in with a different email from the one you use in the VO app. The connector matches you to your listening by email, and a new email starts a new, empty account. Ask your assistant which VO account it is connected to: it can tell you.
I signed in with the wrong email
Remove VO in your assistant's connector settings, add it again, and sign in with the email you use in the VO app. If you used Google, pick the Google account with that email.
I use Sign in with Apple in VO
Sign in with Apple is not available for the connector yet. Sign in with a Google account that has the same email as your VO account instead. If you chose Hide My Email when you signed up, email contact@vo.fm and we will help you link the connector to your account.
Do I need a VO account first?
No. The first time you connect, a free VO account is created from the email you sign in with. It starts empty: download the VO app, sign in with that same email and listen to an episode, and your assistant can recall it straight away.
The sign-in page shows an error
Close it and connect again from your assistant. If it keeps failing, email contact@vo.fm with the time it happened and the assistant you used.
How do I disconnect?
Remove VO in your assistant's connector settings. The access token is short-lived and expires on its own. To have the authorization revoked on our side, or to delete an account created through the connector, email contact@vo.fm.
What does VO log?
For each connector request we log whether sign-in succeeded, which tool was called, whether it worked, how long it took, and the name and version of the assistant. We do not log what you asked, what the tools returned, or any episode text, note or saved-moment content. Details are in section 4 of our privacy policy.
