0:28Here's golf legend John Daly. A father's absence can have a serious effect on a child. Fatherless children are twice as likely to drop out of school and 11 times more likely to exhibit violent behavior. I'm attorney Jeffrey Leving, and I've been protecting the rights of fathers for more than 30 years. Dads, don't lose your important relationship with your children. Call 312-356-DADS. Today we have a brand new side hustle for you, and I guarantee you have not heard of it yet.

1:07But robotics AI companies are actually starting to pay you to record yourself doing household chores. So yes, you could be folding your laundry and making money at the same time. So they're basically taking this data to train their AI so that they can have robots do it for you. in the future. We're going to get into exactly how this all works in the episode today. But before we do, I wanted to tell you about our school community. It's a really great place to be. It's called AI Hustle. We'll leave a link below. But each week we release bonus content over there, specifically how we're making money and growing our businesses using AI.

1:46This week I released a special episode because I recently got access to OpenAI ads and have started running ads. So I actually will show you the entire dashboard, how I set up my campaigns. You can see exactly what it looks like and how you can actually get started doing this yourself. So go check out our community. It's$19 a month. And if you join today, you can lock that price in forever. So but let's talk about these robotic startups here. Jaden, what have you heard? Okay, the first one I want to talk about, I just think is a really funny thing. And it's called your house for free in exchange for basically they'll have a person come into your home.

2:28They wear like a hat with a camera on the top of it and it's the cameras pointed down. So it's like a POV first person camera and it's watching what the person is doing with their hands and like basically everything in front of them. And it's the and then they'll take that data and they give it to the sell it to robot robotics training companies. So you get your house cleaned for free and they get training data that's super valuable for them to sell to robotics companies. So that's the first one that I thought was cool. Shift also, though, is famous because they on their website, you can go sign up.

3:00Anyone can go sign up. And if you get their app, they will send you tasks, things to take videos of or pictures of mostly videos. So it'd be like, you know, take a video of you putting a cup away in your cupboard. Take a video of you unloading your dishwasher. there's a bunch of different things and they'll pay you just for for filming those videos and for doing a bunch of different things i think most of them are kind of like micro tasks and they'll pay you um for all of that so that's what shift is doing but there's actually a whole bunch of different companies that are doing it right now there's also um pronto and there's human archive all of them are buying first person video of a bunch of different industries cooking cleaning uh shift said that they're going to get into like mechanics next as well so there's a whole bunch of industries.

3:39And I have been saying this, guys, for the last three years, everyone's like, oh, man, AI is going to like, you know, impact white collar jobs so much. And I'm like, guys, humanoid robots are coming and it's going to impact electricians, plumbers, literally everything. Yeah, shift is also going to do plumbers as well. So this is no shocker. Like this is 100 % where everything is going. The AI has been made, we can see cloud code, cloud cowork, it is good enough to control your computer to see to click to do things. That brain is going inside of a humanoid robot that's now getting trained to do every task is that bad is that good we can all have all the arguments and debates but at the end of the day it's inevitable so how do we make money in the process and along the way is kind of where uh where i'm thinking of it and how i'm thinking about it right now jamie are you worried that your house flipping uh skills is going to be replaced by robots in the future um no not too worried about that and if they were replaced i would be okay with that because find the robots and sending them to the houses yeah that would be great.

4:36Then I wouldn't have to do the physical labor, but I just went to, so join shift.us is how you could actually sign up for this side hustle. I re I'm reading on there that you can, they pay around$20 per hour plus bonuses. So, uh, and it says, you know, so it has just different tasks you can do cutting vegetables, putting stuff in the fridge, 20 bucks an hour. That's not bad. If you, especially if you came up with a way to streamline it and actually not add to your day if you just actually could wear something while you're doing these tasks. To me, I think that would add up over time. So that seems like a pretty good wage.

5:12What do you think, Jayden? Oh my gosh, this is genius. I have no idea what the rules are because basically on their website, they say record on the job, work in a trade kitchen, warehouse, or shop. Your daily professional tasks are exactly what we're looking for. Earn supplemental income on top of what you already do. This is genius on their part for one. But for two, I wonder like if your employer is going to I'm pretty sure people are going to do this without telling their employer. They just have to wear a hat with a little camera on it probably. And it's just probably sneaky. And they're hoping that no one's going to get mad.

5:45But like 20 bucks an hour. OK, so if you're a warehouse worker making$20 an hour, you put on their hat and now you're making$40 an hour. That is a pretty crazy side hustle, in my opinion. Totally. Are they treating robots to replace you and your job in the future. Yeah, but it's going to happen inevitably anyways. I would put the hat on and make 40 bucks an hour if I were you. Absolutely. I mean, yeah, that's a significant amount of money, honestly, for, like you said, if you can stack it on top. Now, why don't you tell them about, because you've actually been doing something similar with podcast audio.

6:19We've been doubling down on some of our earnings. This whole data sales thing to training AI is actually a real, really a big business. and something you should be paying attention to. Jaden, why don't you tell them about what you've been up to? Yeah, so like you mentioned, this is in tons of industries. I just wanna mention a couple more Shift is doing. They're doing restaurants and kitchen, aviation and transportation. If you're a pilot, you can wear this and it's gonna be training. Guys, that is crazy. Industrial and offshore, yeah, they want underwater robots to train this stuff. Facilities and maintenance, construction and building, automotives and trade, agriculture and farming.

6:52These are the industries the robots are coming for, but the data is a really good business. And so, yeah, like you're mentioning, Jamie, I actually was working with a company recently and I sold the back catalog of all of my podcasts, including this one that we've recorded in the past. They don't to for data or for AI audio licensing. Now, they don't train a clone of our voice or anything, but they'll use it for general purpose AI training. And for my back catalog, I sold it for about eleven thousand dollars to a company that just paid me eleven grand. And I just had to give them a folder with all the wave files of all of my audio.

7:25there's a couple different things I had to do to it I transcribed all the audio I believe or at least I segregated it by voice so if Jamie's talking it would be on one audio file if I was talking is on another but actually ran cloud code and it got a open source program that like automatically did the it's called dietization I think it automatically split the tracks anyways so I just I made a folder of all my podcast episodes okay I told Claude to make a folder of all my podcast audios. Then I had it diarize it. Then I sold it to this company for 11 grand. Which, by the way, if anyone has a big backlog of audio that you've recorded for anything, let me know because I can help you sell it.

8:09So hit me up on LinkedIn or if you're in the school community, do that. But yeah, you can make a lot of money doing this data licensing. It's interesting because basically all the Chinese companies are, if they can get their hands on, like for example, of podcast audio, all the Chinese companies, you can just go scrape it manually, just run a little bot that scrapes everybody's podcasts. But the American companies are getting super sued. You look at Claude that had to pay over a billion dollars for illegally using everybody's books, pirating everybody's books and include it into their Claude. So they had to pay all the authors money.

8:41So the American companies, there's a precedent that they're getting sued and they're having to make big payouts if they're a big company. So they're going and trying to legally license as much audio as they can. Suno has a bunch of like lawsuits for grabbing music illegally, yada, yada. I don't know where 11 labs is at, but evidently it's going to be 11 labs and a lot of these other audio companies, Google that is licensing this data. I don't know the company I sold it to. I don't know how much they'll sell it to, to Google or 11 labs. Maybe they'll make like, you know, triple or five X my money.

9:07But in any case, I was happy for, I was happy for a payout. And yeah, everyone is looking for data right now. yeah i mean so the process for this we're just i just picked on shift because it was the first one on the article but uh apparently you just fill out a form takes five minutes you pick up they send you a head strap or you pick up a head strap which i would assume has a camera on it because i'm guessing they want a certain pov for every shot and that's the way they guarantee that so uh and then you just download the app and start recording so um i'm gonna keep this tab open because I think that's pretty fascinating.

9:44I could probably wear it and make some extra cash. I mean, why not? A hundred percent. Your next home remodel, you'll get paid$20 an hour just for the remodel. And then you can also flip the house as well. This sounds like a good business. I was thinking it'd be cool if you could do a task like going out because it has a restaurant and kitchen. I'm guessing that means food prep. But if you could go just to a restaurant on a date night but each be wearing a head strap then you get your dinner and your babysitting paid for i think that they want you i think it wants the cooks inside the kitchen making the food somehow i don't think the robots are going to be eating the food uh maybe maybe they'll uh maybe they'll need the robots to be trained for like um i saw like a post on it was a pretty dumb post i think it might have been on the new york times or something but it was like um it was like i took an ai out on a date to a restaurant and here's my experience it was the dumbest thing and they like had their phone propped up against their like water bottle at the restaurant and they were like talking to the this yeah the stupidest thing you just go to you go to a restaurant and talk to the voice section of chat gpt and call it a date and share your experience and i guess that's good enough for the for a big news organization to publish but maybe that person is now going to make that same video with a robot after you train it on how to uh do it's like date prep you know like people are like uh coaching or something you go train with your robot at a restaurant aside from you're ridiculous in the restaurant you know maybe there's a maybe there's a business there yeah we'll see if we'll see if they approve that task but now it's a lot about i i do clean i so in the busy summer months of the airbnb i have cleaners that clean but sometimes if they can't i'll end up cleaning myself usually there for four or five hours but um you know all that cleaning yeah i could be making 20 bucks an hour doing that so makes it makes it uh a little bit more worth it honestly so anyways this is all amazing stuff this is cool there's all the all kinds of ways to make money with ai that you probably didn't even realize and they're out there you just have to find them so which is why you should join the school community because each week we talk about specific ways you can actually make money so i would love to have you be a member over there join the over 300 member group it's uh really fun so thanks for listening guys and we'll see you next time and also make sure to leave a rating review on the podcast if you haven't already we just passed 100 reviews on apple we are so thrilled we have like i think almost 200 reviews on spotify um but for some reason 80 % of our listeners are on Apple and have only left 100 reviews.

12:25So if that is you, if you listen to this show and you haven't left a review already on Apple, we would be thrilled if you did. All right, catch you in the next episode.
