In short
How to profit from AI-enhanced music streaming using Suno/Udio, distributors (DistroKid, others), and keyword-driven catalog strategy.
Guests
Jaden (longtime AI music streaming “king”; runs multiple accounts; not a musician/singer) and Jamie (host; asks about earnings, quality vs keywords, AI eligibility).
Key claims
Jaden’s all-time total on one account is about $12,000; this month across accounts is about $2,500 passive income. One relaxing piano AI album made about $415 last month (streaming + downloads). A meditation music account made about $3xx last month; latest withdrawal $366.
Notable examples
“Dance Monkey” cover generated 12M streams and about $6,000; relaxing AI piano and meditation background tracks; strategy to use a human melody as inspiration to avoid “100% AI” flags.

Start your new podcast for free today at rss.com. Welcome back to the podcast. Today we're talking about another one of our favorite side hustles, and that is AI music streaming. And Jaden is the king of AI music streaming. He's been doing this for a very long time, even before AI was a thing.
1:16And now he's able to scale it using some of these tools. So he's going to break that down today and give us a earnings update because he's been doing this for a while now and has some results to share. So Jaden, why don't you take it away? Okay, so I actually want to show what my this month's earning was on my music, which a lot of this is AI generated or AI assisted music. So there's a couple different strategies that I've used and I have a bunch of different distributors. So I'll show you the analytics and what kind of the total was. This account total all time has made$12 ,000, but this has been going on for a while.
1:53But I think you'll be surprised by what all of the different accounts are. Now, one thing I'll say that's funny about this account is that I actually used to get people to write or to sing cover songs. And that was how this account in particular got a lot of its revenue. So if you remember the song Dance Monkey, when I was back in college, this was a popular song. And I had someone do a cover of it and ended up getting 12 million streams and about$6 ,000, which is pretty funny. And then there's a couple other ones that were smaller. Now, I have a whole different catalog on this account, another album, that is basically just relaxing piano music.
2:33It's completely AI-generated. And that is what primarily makes money on this account from a month-to-month basis. So you see, like, last month was$260. The month before was$371. This is just relaxing piano music. and actually for the last year. So some of these like big, these bigger numbers, this was like many, many years ago. So it's actually not showing up on this particular chart here. But you can see that there's like different numbers that you'll see frequently. So sometimes the ones that I was showing you before, I think were just streaming. But then if you include revenue for like sales, if someone actually buys the full album, it's a little bit more.
3:14So on this account in particular, I made$415 from streaming revenue and downloads, which I don't know why people still, or downloads is, I guess, like someone buys purchases on iTunes. I don't know why, but people still buy albums on iTunes. Jamie, I don't know when the last time you bought an album on iTunes was, but it has been a minute. But yeah, this is$415, primarily from AI-generated piano music. And by the way, the strategy for that is that you can basically just get Suno or Udeo, and I use Suno typically, and this album was made with Suno, to generate piano music. If you want to be clever, now there's a bunch of different platforms that are doing some weird things where they're like, look, if it's 100 % AI generated, it's ineligible for streaming revenue.
3:58I had this, this thing's been up for like a long, long time, this album in particular. So I'd be curious if it ends up getting flagged or what ends up happening. No, the one thing that I will say that I did with it is I actually had an original piano track that was played by a friend or you really could have yourself playing on piano like any song very badly give it to suno and have it do a cover and it basically takes your song and it plays it makes it sound amazing and i think if you do that like instead of just just shouting at the void and say make a relaxing piano song but if you're like take my song as inspiration and make it even if it's like really you plunking very horribly on the piano but you plunk out like a melody very basically i think that goes like i think basically you could say now you're being ai assisted because the ai is making your music better and then you have to say you're 100 % AI generated and then you'll still be eligible.
4:46Now I'll say Apple Music and Spotify, they don't really care. And that's where the money comes from anyways. But I think it's like Tidal and Deezer that specifically are have some like sort of anti AI generated music. But at the end of the day, in my opinion, like it sounds good. If people like it, then I don't really care, right? Like if someone likes to listen to relaxing piano music, and it's AI versus real. If you're a purist at heart of a musician, I understand, but it's people like it. So anyways, $415 last month from this particular album. I have another account with a muse where I have another style of music.
5:21And this is actually meditation music. So it's AI generated meditation music in the background, just layered on my actual voice. So, and you could pay someone to do this as well if you wanted. But as you can see, this has been making me a lot of money for a very long time. Last month, this made me three. My most recent withdrawal was$366 from this one particular account. So you definitely can make money from that. There's a lot of different genres. And I've even told people in the past to do – there's so many different genres of relaxing music and it's so easy to do or like meditation music. So I have someone that did like baby sleep music.
5:59I've had people do like study music. I've had people do like spa music or massage music or – like there's just so many of – they're like very kind of generic. and they don't even need a voice on them. So that's another interesting way to do it. But I've done mostly meditation has been like my big thing or relaxing piano. So I have another account on DistroKid. I actually have two DistroKid accounts and they both did about the same this month. I only have one logged in right now, but about, I think the other one was about 230. This one did 280 or 480. So both of those are doing pretty well, are pretty good as well.
6:35But I guess, Jamie, any questions from you off the top of your head when it comes to like making money from music. I mean, I think this is fascinating and the numbers are absolutely insane. I did have one question, but I just wanted to clarify. So the 12 grand, that was for one month or is that for year to date? Because there was the first one you showed us, the first graphic. The 12 grand was just how much money I total made on one of my accounts in particular. Got it. So how much monthly do you think you're at right now between all of them? um i think right now it's about this month i made about twenty five hundred dollars from all my different ones and um when was the last time you made something like an album i i haven't i've made a bunch of albums earlier this year but it has definitely been a while okay so well yeah it's it's not something i do very often it's very passive and it kind of runs for a long time but it's a good it's a good kind of passive income and it made me about uh twenty $2 ,500 passively this month.
7:35And then how much of this is like, are you trying to produce something quality versus like just working on keywords and targeting certain searches? Or is it just a combination of both? It's definitely a combination of both. I would say like the higher quality is how you get like repeat listeners. So it's not just a game of like getting someone to listen, but how you get them. Like most of this stuff, people come back all the time. um but at the end of the day it's like the way that people find this is it's all very keyword it's like relaxing music for the spa would be like the name of the song yeah so that's how i would go about doing that okay that makes a lot of sense yeah i mean i think um you know if you're listening to this i i mean every time jayden talks about his income from streaming music i'm very inspired and it makes, I have yet to actually dive into it and spend the money on the credits because I, I don't, uh, I don't know.
8:31I don't really have time for it, but I think maybe I should make time. Cause that's pretty significant cash, just especially for something relatively passive. Um, so how much of, cause I know you said some of your albums, some of your income is AI assisted. Some of it is fully AI. Um, where does, how does that shake out as far as income or does it not necessarily matter? You get the same streaming revenue and all of my stuff either has AI in it. Like, so the meditation stuff is like all meditation in the background and then it'll be me like just reading like a guided meditation. And then the relaxing like piano and that kind of stuff is just all 100 % AI generated.
9:09And, you know, I try to throw some sort of human element into it, but it really is all AI powered music. And I'm no musician, I'll also say. Nor am I even a singer. So, you know, meditation was the easiest thing for me excite. I can talk. That's about where I'm at. But yeah, this is an awesome business. I highly recommend anyone try, whether you're a musician or not a musician. You can make this type of music. You get the streaming revenue from Spotify. If you're interested in getting a business like this started, I have an entire course over on our school community on how to generate AI music and how to actually make money from it.
