Guest backgrounds

No guests; it’s hosted by Shauna (fitness and nutrition coach for women over 40; wife and boy mom, age 46).

Key claims

Gratitude steadies the nervous system, boosts energy, supports hormones, sharpens focus, and helps replace overwhelm with strength.

Notable examples

Notice one thing working now (stronger body, shifting mindset, consistency, peace, or simply listening). Then visualize the future self—grounded, calm, intentional habits, nutrition as fuel, strength training as devotion, kind self-talk, and adjusting through messy moments. 0:00Hello and welcome to Becoming Her, Fitter, Better, Better & Stronger, Over 40. I'm your host and coach, Shauna. I'm a wife, a boy mom of 46, and I'm a fitness and nutrition coach helping women over 40 become their best. And today's episode is a little bit different. It's a bonus episode that I wanted to share with you because Thanksgiving felt like the perfect time to give you something you can keep, something you can save, and something that you can come back to anytime you need a moment of grounding. This year might have been a lot for you. Maybe life has felt really heavy lately. And sometimes we just need a pause.

0:35We need a reset. We need a breath. So I wanted to give you a short gratitude reflection as a gift to you, something to help you stay connected to yourself, to your growth, and to the woman that you are becoming. Because gratitude is one of the most powerful tools for your mind, your body, and your success. It lowers stress. It boosts your energy. It supports your hormones. It steadies your nervous system. It sharpens your focus and it helps you show up from a place of strength instead of overwhelm. And before we go any further, I want to say this with my whole, I am so thankful for you. Every download, every message, every step you take towards becoming stronger, I don't take any of it for granted.

1:15So let's dive into this reflection, something simple, something grounding, something you can return to anytime that you need it. So before you go into this busy day, I want you to take a breath. Deep inhale and deep exhale. Let it go slowly. Let your shoulders relax. Unclench your jaw. Let your mind take a break from everything else that's asking for your attention because this moment is for you. Gratitude is not just pretending everything is perfect. It's about choosing to see things that are supporting you, even quietly. So just take a moment to notice one thing in your life that's working for you right now.

1:55Maybe your body is getting stronger. Maybe your mindset is shifting. Maybe it's the fact that you've been more consistent. Maybe it's the peace you're starting to feel. Or maybe it's simply the fact that you're here, listening, trying, and not giving up on yourself. Let that truth sit with you. Now shift your attention to the version you are becoming. Not the version you think you should be. Not the version someone else expects, but the real, aligned, grounded, powerful future her that's already forming inside of you. Take a slow breath and picture her clearly. See her walking into a room with ease, grounded, calm, and confident.

2:39She doesn't rush. She doesn't second guess herself. She's steady. Her energy is different, not frantic, not burnt out, not stretched thin. She moves with intention, like a woman who knows her worth and honors her capacity. Notice how she takes care of herself. Her habits are consistent, but not obsessive. Her choices come from self-respect, not pressure. Her strength training isn't about punishment. It's about being devoted to herself. Her nutrition isn't restriction. It's fuel. She doesn't hustle for worthiness. She lives in it. Look at her body language, shoulders back. open chest eyes are soft but sure she carries peace she carries gratitude she carries a quiet confidence that says i trust myself and look at how she treats herself she speaks kindly she gives herself grace she doesn't quit when life gets messy she just adjusts she doesn't shrink herself she expands and she knows she's capable because she's already proven it in a hundred small little ways.

3:46Now imagine her turning toward you. She smiles because she knows how far you've already come. She knows the decisions you've been making. She knows the strength you've shown. She knows the growth that's happening in you, even when you don't fully see it yet. And she simply says, keep going. I'm waiting for you on the other side. Feel that. Let it settle in. Let it remind you that transformation is not overnight, but you are becoming that woman. And every act of gratitude, every moment of consistency, every time you show up for yourself, every time you give yourself grace, every time you get back up, you are stepping closer to her.

4:26She's not far away. She's not a fantasy of you. She is you. She lives in you. And you are becoming her. So I hope that you can take this message and save it and listen to it when you need that encouragement. And before I close, I want to leave you with this. You are not doing this journey alone. You are supported. You are guided. And even when life feels uncertain, God is moving in your life, strengthening you, stretching you, preparing you for the things you have been praying for. So as you head into the rest of this day, I speak this blessing over you. May gratitude fill your heart. May peace fill your home.

5:05May clarity fill your mind. May strength fill your body. And may hope lead you into your next best chapter. Happy Thanksgiving to you. Save this, replay it, use it anytime you need. A moment of gratitude and peace. And until next time, keep getting stronger.
