In short
New Year’s Eve edition of Bottoms Up (wine, gossip, and games). Olivia Attwood joins Alan Carr and Lee Peart to discuss her go-to Moscow Mule, her “softer” New Year mindset, and her 2025/2026 TV plans, then they play “Sip or Skip” and help a listener choose adventurous wines.
Guests (backgrounds)
Olivia Attwood is a UK TV personality and host of her podcast Olivia’s House. Alan Carr and Lee Peart are the hosts of Bottoms Up, a weekly wine-and-gossip show.
Key claims
Moscow Mule (vodka, ginger beer, lime) was invented in America (1941) and helped popularize vodka; “mule” refers to ginger’s kick. Olivia says her New Year resolution is to be softer and mentions her husband’s football schedule making NYE “lame,” plus she avoids red wine due to its texture.
Notable examples
NYE plan includes a Victorian pub with a live band and a caricaturist; they try a Malbec (Argentina) and discuss “Sit or Skip” items like pearls, furry boots, Aperol Spritz, espresso martinis, Crocs, bottomless brunch, matcha, four-minute voice notes, and Taylor Swift. Listener dilemma leads to Romanian “Wolf Warrior” (Vitiscia negra de lume), Italian Malvasia Puntinata “Roma,” and Lebanese “Ixia Altitudes.”

So this game is called Sit. Love it! So what do we do now? You swill it. Live with a glass of wine. What do I do now? Guess.
1:47Alan Carr:Hello, welcome to Bottoms Up with me, Alan Carr and Lee Peart, brought to you by Leifweights. If you get your margaritas into a mix-up and are basically bamboozled by Beaujolais, then this is the podcast for you. Yeah, this is our weekly show where we're cracking open bottles, having a gossip along the way, discovering the wonderful world of wine. And we want you to get involved. At Bottoms Up Show on socials, send us a DM. Bottomsup at listen.co.uk if you want to email us. And if you are watching this on the first day it lands, it is New Year's Eve. Oh, and you know why I know it's New Year's Eve?
2:26Alan Carr:Why? Because that. Oh, yes. Did you spot it? Um, what? The cold sore that is gaping at me as I look. And I'm gagging for a snog tonight. I know. Gagging. A kiss at midnight. No one's going to kiss this. No. I mean, no one's going to kiss this even if I didn't have it. But I mean, look at it. It's so big. I could feel it this morning throbbing on my lips. What about the cold sore? No. Oh, please. I didn't know you were a cold sore kind of guy. No, I've always had herpes. Really? There was a time when you used to say to people, oh, I got a cold sore. Oh, that's herpes. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, let's just stick to cold sore.
3:07Alan Carr:Yeah, yeah, it is the herpes virus. You never ever lose cold sore. As in, no, it's always in you. It's always in you. No, it's true, it's true. Yeah, same with herpes. Yes, yes. But weirdly, I'm quite scared of cold sores. You've never had a cold sore? I've never had a cold sore. With your lifestyle, come on. No, I haven't. I get styes. I get styes. Oh, that's awful, isn't it? Yeah. Apparently, that's a sign of being run down, your cold sore. You need to take it easy in the new year. Oh, we're doing a podcast for you and taking it easy. Drinking. Talking of drinking, where's our welcome drink?
3:44You may be wondering if you're watching on YouTube or Spotify. there's no drink here. We always have a drink. Well, guess what? It's New Year's Eve. We need a special drink. I know. And not just a special drink. We need a special person to serve us that drink. Because we have a special guest with us today. OMG. Can you believe it? We were on her podcast a couple of weeks ago. It is the one. It's the only. Olivia Atwood, ladies and gentlemen. Oh. And she's bought her own welcome drink. Happy New Year. Happy New Year. Well, after hearing that chat, I'll keep this as mine. I'm going to label it.
4:20Alan Carr:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Please don't touch it. Give me a kiss, darling. Air kisses, air kisses. Herpes, the gift that keeps on giving. Pink eye, who's been farting on your pillow? I know. Oh, God, don't. Pink eye. Well, does it affect your vision, having like a big old stye in your eye? Well, no, no, not massively. But apparently it's not. It's just a built-up of bacteria. Oh, gorgeous. so happy new year everyone and it's been great thank you so much Liv I'm so glad you're here I'm surprised we're even talking after us coming on your podcast because you are such a good interviewer I thought we'd get cancelled you were getting all kinds of shit out of us weren't we I know well yeah mostly you I was like you're getting the good dirt I'll take the interview compliment but I mean it wasn't difficult do you know what was funny at the start I didn't have to work for it.
5:17What is this, by the way? This is my favourite go-to drink. It's a Moscow Mule. Ah, because you love a vodka, don't you? I love vodka. So it's typically vodka, ginger beer and a squeeze of lime. Nice. It's refreshing. I love a ginger beer as well. Bottoms up. Cheers. Bottoms up. Thanks for having me, guys.
5:33Alan Carr:And can I say, sometimes, you know, at Christmas and New Year's Eve, you know, your social diary is jam-packed. You know, like, oh, you know, the night before you feel a bit rough. I think this is a lovely little palate cleanser for the next evening. You know, you're feeling a little bit rough. You said you weren't going to drink again. I would just have this as a little gateway drink. Is that your go-to then? That is my go-to. I'm the same as Alan. It's like my pre-drink and also it'd be my drink to kind of revive me. It's the ginger. I don't know if you know this. Moscow Mule, despite the name, it is an American cocktail.
6:07Is it really? Yeah, it was invented in America. And because vodka, vodka wasn't a thing. It's 1941, apparently, when it was invented. Thank you. You know I like my cocktails. And vodka really wasn't a thing. Stop calling me a mixologist. When I made that dirty martini on your podcast, it was gross.
6:24Alan Carr:I can still smell brine on my fingers. Well, I hope it's the cocktail. And also, do you know why it's called mule? Why? Apparently, the kick that the ginger gives, it's the mule. What a good name! That's the kick, the Moscow mule. It's got nothing to do in Moscow the city. No, but they credit it because they credit with making... Vodka wasn't a thing back then. It was a bit of a niche thing. And the Moscow Mule is credited with being what brought vodka to the forefront. Perfect. Isn't that amazing? And it's also, I hear like, you know with cocktails, isn't that because of Prohibition where they would colour the drinks so you wouldn't know if the police burst in the door?
7:04Alan Carr:You go, this is just a fruit juice. Is that right? You'd hide the alcohol in the juice. Oh, that's interesting as well. This is like being back at school. Because you're actually meant to also serve the Moscow Mules in a copper tin. Well, I'm sorry, I did ask. No, no, no, it's fine, don't worry. And they said, we've only got a few copper tins, we don't want herpes on them. Yeah. We don't want a pandemic. I said that in good... Remind me not to tell you about my herpes ever again. So what do you do on a New Year's Eve, apart from spend it with us? Okay, so my New Year's Eve, since I've been with my husband, they are pretty fucking lame.
7:41Hi, if you're watching. We invited you. We invited you last year to our New Year's Eve party, but you were in Cheshire, weren't you? Well, if there's one this year that I've got a year off because he's travelling. So listen, because he plays football, they play a game on New Year's Day. Why would they do that? That fucks up your drinking. And Boxing Day, so he can't drink on Christmas Eve. No, it's horrendous. Dump him, dump him. It's horrendous. So listen, and then what makes it worse? His birthday is the 31st of December. Oh, yes, I remember you saying. So I can't even leave him alone. Oh, no.
8:12But what I will say is, I do like a house party on New Year's Eve, but you don't go to the club. No. Because everyone who doesn't normally go to a club or a bar goes on New Year's Eve. So I don't want to sound cruel, but it's full of losers. Yeah. Oh, well, that hasn't made you sound cruel at all. No, no, it must be hard sitting on that fence. But we booked a pub. We had the whole space to ourselves. Now, what do you think of this? I booked, now he took the piss out of me for this. And I'm sorry, but it was a hit. I booked, we had a live band, didn't we all? Normal, blah, blah, blah. And I booked, because I thought it would be quite nice for New Year's Eve, a caricaturist.
8:54Alan Carr:Now, he's like... I bet he loved seeing you confident. I could hear it. Oh, I mean, there's an amount of fucking charcoal we use for my teeth. Yeah, he ran out. He had a RSI. but nails down to the boat just blood isn't bullying fun I think house parties are the way forward and also the thing with New Year's Eve you go past these pubs that you wouldn't even be seen dead in I know 20 pound to get in I know I wouldn't be seen dead in there you should be paying me Alan Carter go in there you're right I've changed Trades has changed me I haven't changed the trade honestly no no you're worth But you know what?
9:33Alan Carr:The pub was amazing. It was Dickensian. It was really old and Victorian. So I caused my classic line whenever I'm in an old pub, is it haunted like that? And the man said, oh, my God. Funny you should say that. We saw a man walk through that wall with a top hat. Lee steps back. His back touches the shelf. Ow! I was on edge. And I felt something touch my back. It took you roughly from behind. And I went... And it was so embarrassing. It was a shelf. I just lent into a shelf. But because they were talking about ghosts... Yeah, yeah. Do you believe in ghosts? God, I want to. You strike me as the person.
10:18Yeah, I'm quite cynical. I'd like to believe that I can come back and haunt my enemies. So I'd like to believe... No, it's not about you, Liv.
10:25Alan Carr:I know. Do you believe... I love the way maybe I could be the ghost. Also, eternity is not long enough to haunt your enemies. I don't want to be done when I'm dead. You're going to be knackered. I've got more to give. It's a full-time job, haunting your enemies. Did you ever watch Most Haunted? Oh, will they go, celebrities go around, mountains? With Derrick Okora. I want that to come back. I think me and you, I think all three of us should do that. Some producer bangs on the wall and they all go, ah! Well, he bought me for my birthday a Ouija board. from Amma... That just fell down. Some of the cheap, tacky decorations just fell off the wall.
11:07If that's not a sign, I don't know what it is. Right, I want to flag something right now that you said on your podcast, Olivia's House, loved it. Well, we've brought you to a public house because we're in this pub. But you don't really like red, do you? Can't drink red. Well, on that note... No, please don't make me. For me, red wine is the texture. Yes. It feels furry on your mouth. Really? And your teeth. And I just, I don't like the way it makes me feel.
11:36Alan Carr:Okay, well, on that note, I'm going to open it. Well, you've talked us into opening it. Go on, then. I'll grab some glasses. Unless you want to pour it straight into her mouth. Funnel. Get a funnel. Right, here we go. Right, I'm going to open this. Do you know what it is as well? Like, typically, I like my alcohol cold on ice. So when I have white, I add ice. so I am that person. You can't really add ice to red, can you? No. Isn't it funny how you struggle to open that and yet when you had that bottle of beer in the car, you just jammed it against that railing? No, so is it the car key? Oh, is it the car key?
12:11Alan Carr:Yeah, if you can't see. You're quite butch when you think about it. When you think about it. Right, listen. Who do you think's butcher? Me or Lee? You're setting yourself up to fail here, Bess. Ah! Oh, look, I'm not. I'm like that. I'm fanning myself. You are so small. Oh, you look so smug, bitch. I think I'm the butchers one in this room right now. I would agree. Right, now, listen. This is a wine podcast, as you know. Thank you. We're on a wine journey and we are trying to educate ourselves. So, over the past few weeks, we've learned different things. The taste, the texture in your mouth. I know you don't feel like...
12:52But this is a Malbec, so it's going to be quite full-bodied. It might be a little bit heavier. We love a Malbec, all right? Is that from New Zealand? Argentina. Close? Yeah. Close enough. This is my favourite Malbec. Okay, so I've poured you a smaller one there, Liz. It's very, like, pungent. It smells quite spicy, warm. Little warm hug, is it? Yeah, like... Like a cardigan. So what do we do now?
13:23Alan Carr:You swill it. live with a glass of wine. What do I do now? Guess.
13:35Alan Carr:This in here? Well, it's not attached to my unusual funnel. And just take a swig. Here we go. We're going to have a nice little drink here.
13:47Now what do you think of that? The taste? It's like, how can something be wet and dry at the same time? Should we put our glasses on? It is New Year's Eve. It is New Year's Eve.
13:57Alan Carr:So what do you think of that? I just... I get the impression you don't like it, Liv. As for reds I've tasted, I would say that's getting closer to where I want to be. With a red, it's still not... I'd still take a rose there, a white. Yes. Oh, can I just say, last time I saw you, apart from your podcast, was the ITV Palooza. Yes. What are you looking down here for? No, I was just looking at you. So is that where you do... Have you got lazy art? No, what are you looking at? Is it me too? No, this eye goes when I drink. Is it wandering? Oh, yes, yes, yes. I'll just do this like Nicola McLean on Big Brother.
14:31Alan Carr:One's on Dazzle, one's on Dim. Oh, no. What is a palooza? For people who don't know, explain what a palooza is. It's a celebration of all ITV. They get all the advertisers in and stuff, don't they? Oh, my God, and your clip. It looks so amazing because you see what's coming up and you were there with the heat. Tell us about that. New show that I'm hosting with Jean-Christophe Novelli. Was that the one you filmed in Barcelona? Yes, Barcelona. New format coming to ITV. Very excited about it. The casts are very good. Yeah, because I was in Barcelona while you were filming it. I know, we just missed each other.
15:07And how good's Barcelona? Amazing cast. Everyone's fit. Everyone's fit on the beach working out. I feel like a pervert every morning. I was going for a walk just to see the talent because they've got all their monkey bars and the abseiling stuff. and they say, you know what I mean? They're like...
15:22Alan Carr:Yeah, I mean, because the thing is, what people forget about Barcelona, it is by the sea. I know. So you've got the city break and then you have got the, you go down there, everyone's in speedos. No, it's good. And the clip, do you think the clip looks good? So what's the premise of it? I haven't seen the clip. So it's young chefs, they are professional chefs working in this kitchen to become Jean-Christophe Novelli's head chef of this pop-up restaurant in Barcelona. But they live together, they're all young, they're all single, so there's like dating but then they have to work the next day. So really, you know, with this heat coming out, it's in March, isn't it?
15:56Alan Carr:It's coming out in March. You're having a bit of a moment, aren't you? No, it's good. And how do you feel? How do you feel about that? You must be buzzing. Well, I feel like it is a recession indicator, isn't it? They can't afford the hose. They can't afford the Venus. They're like, get a look up. Oh, you see, that's the thing. You're so negative, but you're not. You are so personal. You're so lovely. When someone's on the telly or on a podcast and you warmed up, that is a skill. And you do have that skill. And I know you won't take a compliment, but you are having a moment at the minute. And how do you feel about 2026?
16:29Alan Carr:Because I'm one of those people, right? 2025, what are you planning? What are you hoping? Are you hoping the heat grows? Are you hoping to get more stuff? I'm hoping, yeah, I'm hoping for the heat to be a success, getting Filthy Rich will land in Jan, which I'm really proud of because, you know, getting returning series in this climate, I think is even bigger than having... Oh, God, nothing gets recommissioned. you're doing fantastic they commission and then they just cancel so that and then the podcast and yeah just more of the same I'm like I feel really lucky I'm enjoying it I'm just taking every opportunity do you know what I think it is with you though I think you're you're authentic that is what I would say which is I think in life in general no matter what industry you're in is a superpower and you deserve it you're a nice person my face and my breasts not so much no yeah your body's not authentic but you know what it's not a fluke but you know You know, it's not a fluke.
17:19Alan Carr:It's not a fluke, is it? It's like things don't get recommissioned. They just don't. If they're not good, then don't get. People say, and they do say, cream rises to the top. And that's the same with you. Well, we... I'm getting emotional now. This is like a classic New Year's Eve. We tried to compliment him on my pod and you weren't, and I can't take a compliment. And weirdly, I love a compliment, but no one has complimented me. It's funny that, isn't it? Score more with the college-branded Venmo Debit Card and earn up to 5 % cash back with Venmo Stash. Very similar to the game we played on Olivia's podcast.
18:48Alan Carr:Well, I feel a little bit this is like intellectual fraud on my part. Well, you did steal it from us. Yeah, you'll be hearing from my lawyer. He's like, you're having a moment, but it's soon to be over. You're getting sued. Yeah, yeah. Okay, what do you think? Men wearing pearls, sip or skip? I don't like it, skip. Not even Harry Styles? No. But what about when the Loose Women Party last year, I had a pearl cardigan on. Do you remember? I do. Gay, by the way. And you asked me about your mask being used earlier. You know what? Had you stolen it from Gloria Honeyford? That is... Shaking in the cold.
19:23Can I just say, it is funny you should say that, and I don't think I've told you this. Don't tell me you had the same cardigan on. Gloria walks up to me. I would wear that cardigan. I love it. And I went, I'm not sure that I want to hear that. And I love Gloria. As compliments go. He took it off of your vest underneath.
19:41Alan Carr:He does love... You do love a vest. I love a vest. I love showing off those Barry Bootcamp arms, don't you? Yeah, I don't like it. Okay, so that's skip. What about oversized furry boots? Oh, that's so niche. Like on a man or a woman or? Let's do both. Probably skip. Like the big like furry like. Like a moon boot? Yes, moon boot. Like if you're on the slopes pretending to be like, you know, sporty gal, then yeah. But otherwise, no. No, I say no, I'm going to sit. All right. Wait, so do we sip if we like it? I think we sip if we like it. We don't like it. Okay, fine. It's New Year's Eve. So this game is called Sit.
20:19Alan Carr:Love it!

20:24So, why do I sound like a fucking space hopper with a slow puncture?
20:32Alan Carr:No wonder that ghost is throwing shit around. What about people filming themselves? Oh, no. Crying on social media. There's someone, there's a celebrity that does that. I'm like, why? There's one, there's a few. Like, I don't, you know what I'm like, I don't really cry. When I do. What makes you cry? I'm not getting my own way. But what if I, literally the idea of being sad and being like, oh, hold on, let me capture it. It's mental. Turning on a ring light. The tears are coming. Like, if you are crying on social media, I genuinely hope it gets worse. And the thing is, I'm... And I say that with my whole chest.
21:07Yeah, good. Cheers. Happy New Year. Let's do a quick fire one because we've got a few. Aperol Spritzes. Yes. Yeah, sip. Yes. Espresso Martini. Yes. Crocs. No. No, I don't own them. I wear Crocs to put the bins out. I like a slipper, like an egg slipper, something fluffy. I can't put my foot inside plastic. Bottomless Brunch. Yes. Yes. I mean, isn't that every brunch we go to? Yeah. Matcha. What's a matcha? It's like matcha tea. It's like the new thing in the green stuff. I'm not into it. but people with no personalities post them a lot. No. Great. What about four-minute voice notes? No.
21:46Alan Carr:Go away. Go away. It is. I'm out. And finally, Taylor Swift. I loved her new album. What's that one you liked? Was it Kryptonite? Opalite. Opalite. Close enough. Bakelite. Do you know what? Bakelite. I'm neutral. I don't hate, don't love. I'm just like, whatever. I never used to, but her latest one, I got into a few of her things, but I'm not a Swifty. Can I just say, there's some hardcore music fans who have gone with their kids to see Taylor Swift. They're like, oh, Taylor Swift, they've come back, I'm a Swifty. She's got the power. And I've met her on Chatty Man and she was super lovely. Can I just say, just like that.
22:27Alan Carr:I'm just saying, I've met Taylor Swift and you went, thank you. That is quite a big statement. Yeah, yeah. I'm making things up again. Do you reckon we'll get a Specsavers? contract with these. Before you go, Liv, can I just ask, do you have, you don't strike me as someone who does New Year resolutions. No. But do you have one or would you choose one? Why don't I strike you? Well, I don't know. I just think you've got your shit together. You're the type of person that you wouldn't wait to New Year to do a resolution. Yeah, you give that vibe off. Because you know what I used to do? I used to name my years.
23:01I'd say my year is the year of the phoenix and it would all be like reinventing myself, rising from the ashes. Or one year, it was like the year of like the horse, the year of the sloth this year. I would like to be, I'd like to be softer this year. So if people could be less annoying in 2026, then I'll be softer. I thought it was hers and now it's about you. It's about you.
23:29Alan Carr:It's your resolution. People stop being stupid. Maybe it's about you changing. It's about you changing. Not everyone else. Softer. I'd like to be a better wife. I just don't see that. Well, how could you be a better wife? How could I be worse? Come on, please. Okay, my New Year's resolution. Yeah, I'd like to be just a little bit softer. I was going to say I was going to party less, but I've changed my mind on that. Are you going to, because you're a hard worker, are you going to slow down a little bit? No, my God, I love money. Do you know what I mean? That's beautiful. Those Moscow meals won't buy themselves.
24:02Every brunch is bottomless when you've got an Amex, do you know what I mean?
24:08Liv, you are honestly such a treat. You've got so much going on. Thank you. Your podcast, your brilliant podcast, Olivia's House. Thanks for having us on. And thanks for being here. Thank you for having me. And good luck in 2026. Listen, I'm not going to be working with you on loose, but we're still going to hang out, aren't we? We will. We're going to go out. The reign of terror in Soho continues. Yeah, freedom. Here we go. Freedom to 2026. Cheers, boys.
24:31Alan Carr:Cheers. Let's not be strangers.
24:36Alan Carr:There's a special sip for every end of year escapade and our good friends at Leifweights have provided us with three bottles. But Lee, what's the dilemma? Well, I will tell you. It is from Kelly in Stockport. She says, my New Year's resolution is to be more adventurous. I'm thinking, yeah, it's a good one. And she's thinking about quitting her job and she signed up for salsa lessons. You can't pay your bills to insult Sir Kelly. No, this sounds like a bit of a midlife crisis. But anyway, I only... She wants to be more daring with her wine. So she says, just like Alan, I'm stuck in my ways and always go for the exact same...
25:18Alan Carr:I'm not quitting my job to go dancing around the bloody streets. Has Kelly got any friends? She always goes for the exact same thing. What's the perfect bottle to help her break the cycle and begin the year boldly. The Paso Doble ain't going to pay the bills, Kelly. Anyway. Well, come on. She can't be... I know Kelly from Stockport. Once she's got an idea in her head... Exactly. She can't be told otherwise. No, no. And good for Kelly. She's like that. Right, first up... How do you say this? Vitiscia negra de lume? Yes, exactly that, perhaps. Otherwise known as wolf warrior. Kelly, your bold new lease of life deserves something equally powerful, says Lathwaites.
26:02And Wolf Warrior is named after the winery's Dacian warrior forefathers who channeled their inner wolf to protect their land. So apparently it's a Romanian red, so definitely ticks the boxes for adventure. You're branching out a little bit there. Now let's have a taste.
26:18Alan Carr:That's lovely. And you know, I would never, isn't it weird? I went on a tasting menu once and they brought out a Slovenian wine and I was a bit like, oh, because I've never heard a Slovenian. It was delicious. Yeah. It was, and I would never, ever in the supermarket pick up a Romanian wine, but it's so smooth, isn't it? This is, yeah, it's so nice. It says it's got notes of plum blackberry with a hint of smoke. Now I will say, it is only a hint. This is very smooth, very nice. I like this. But if she wants to go for adventure, you know, there's nothing more adventurous than being called a wolf warrior.
26:52I know.
26:53Alan Carr:And also I just think picking Romanian as well, because it's not your typical, it's not traditional. I know, and people like, you know, Because if you turn up with a wine, I don't know, from Australia or New Zealand. Yeah, people are like, oh, yeah. But it's like, oh, actually, this is a Romanian wine. Everyone goes, oh, adventurous. This is giving me just enough adventure. Delicious. I'm going to try some more Romanian wines. Yeah, it's delicious. And like you said, a hint of adventure. Well, let's see how adventurous the next one is. I'm getting smoke. Are you getting, yeah, a small hint. So it's not too much.
27:25Alan Carr:If you don't like the smoke, it's really nice. You know, when you read on the back of the bottle Or you tell me, yeah, yeah, yeah. And you go, no, that actually does deliver. Okay, wicked. Right. This is a white. We've got white wine named Roma. So this white shows how easy it is to find something new to love when you have the right guide. Roma is a super swap for a glass of Sauvignon that guarantees great flavor and a bit of, ooh, look at me being adventurous. So, you know, if Kelly likes a Sauvignon Blanc, she could move on, but it's kind of, it's not a risk, is it? She likes a sovy bee. Yeah.
28:02She wants to move on to something else. She can think of it as dipping your salsa-bound toes into the shallow end.
28:09Alan Carr:And apparently the grandfather made this in the 60s, well, started the vineyard. Oh, really? Well, it says that this easy-to-love white wine is a rarely drunk Italian grape called Malvasia puntinata. That just sounds fab in itself, doesn't it? Let's have a taste. That's nice. Malvesia Puntinata. I like it. Oh, that's nice. And I don't usually go for a Sauvignon Blanc anymore, but that is delicious. And you know why? You know, I don't normally like a white, but I was like, that's tasty. But you know what? I think that one for me, the remaining, is a surprise. Yeah, it feels a bit... Only because I'm thinking remaining, which I know I shouldn't think like that, but I've never ever seen that before.
28:51Alan Carr:Are you sticking to the brief of adventure? Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Like I said, it's smoky. It's weird. It gives you air. Well, I take your Romania and I raise you Lebanon. Oh. Because we have the final one, Ixia Altitudes. Kelly deserves something special to kickstart this new chapter. And Ixia is just that. It is from Lebanon, which Laithwaite say is the wine world's best kept secret. An elite red with all the pedigree of the world's finest wines, swirling with dark fruits and seductive spices, the perfect bottle to show the joy and value to be found in trying something different. Now, before I taste this...
29:34That one just stopped there. Go on.
29:35Alan Carr:You smell that. You know, we like the same thing. I don't think you've... I don't think you'll smell a red wine like you'll smell that. And in a really good way. I mean, it will... Well, I'm just saying... As you know, the nose is the cathedral to the face. I don't want to taste that, but it's an interesting smell. Yeah. And I will say, I've not tasted it yet, but just from reading that, I'm like, this has fulfilled the brief before. So I'm going to do the taste test.
30:05Oh, I love that. I prefer that. That's mine. I think I'm, yeah, I'm with you. I think that's... And do you know what got me as well? Lebanon, the wine world's best kept secret. I mean, there's nothing more adventurous than you going up and going, hello, where's this wine from? and Kelly from Stockport goes... It's Lebanese.
30:26Alan Carr:No, this is nice. I think lovely, really smooth. Yeah, for red, not too heavy. And I think, you know what? You said this is from Lebanon and go, oh, you've travelled, you're exciting. Perfect, this. Yeah, we do always go for the same one and that is actually not, you know, we don't plan that, do we? But I would... And what does ixia mean? I believe it means elixir. It's like a kind of take on elixir. Ixia altitudes. So if she wants to scale those dizzy heights of the altitudes, then I recommend Kelly takes the Elixir altitudes, the Lebanese wine that is delicious. Because I think you're going to say it's from Lebanon and people will be like, oh, but that, but it's not just a lovely red, it's a gorgeous red.
31:09Alan Carr:It's a smooth red. So I would go for that every time. Cheers, Kelly. Well, please do remember to drink responsibly. For more information, visit drinkaware.co.uk.
