In short
CreepCast reads “O’Malley’s Family Restaurant,” a horror story about two siblings who get stranded and seek help at a remote Waffle House–style diner/motel, only to be trapped by the owners.
Guests (podcast)
The transcript is mostly the hosts recording in a Waffle House. It includes no clear guest list; the “guests” appear to be the CreepCast hosts themselves (not identified by name in the transcript). There are also unrelated ad reads and a brief movie promo at the start.
Guest backgrounds
Not provided in the transcript.
Key claims
The story claims the diner is a “final stop” in the middle of nowhere; the hostess Millie O’Malley and cook Ted are welcoming but unsettling; they offer free food and a motel room, then restrict the siblings from leaving.
Notable examples
Laurel and Calvin drive for ~13 hours, find the neon “O’Malley’s Family Restaurant Motel on Eastside,” meet Millie (elderly, red dress, unsettling smile) and Ted (greasy apron, grotesque teeth). After eating pancakes/hot chocolate and cold brew, Ted blocks them from leaving at ~1 a.m. and forces them into the log-built motel with dusty rooms and no visible clocks.

1:19Welcome back to creep cast no I Need you to be a louder we're in an intimate setting. I think this is fine Is that not good? I think you need to be louder. The what? I think you need to be louder. I don't want to be louder. I think you need to be louder. I don't want to be louder. I think this is what you should do. I think you should be not your normal loud, but like a little bit loud, you know?
1:46Welcome back to Creepcast. Today we're recording at public. We're recording in Isaiah's favorite place on earth. We're recording. I am so alive right now. I feel satisfied. You look like you're in the most sick state you've been all weekend. I'm having such a great time. If you haven't noticed, we're recording in a Waffle House. This is like... Hold on. Clink the mug with me. Oh, yeah. We're recording in a Waffle House. This was a harebrained scheme that I had that Hunter is graciously allowed me to do. I feel like you're my dad taking me to the park. Like, oh, they've got the rides today like it's the last batch of record it's the last of the recordings that we're doing yeah we saw this is 11 this is recording 11 and so this is so this is our little like fun getaway time yeah should be good this is i'm so i'm alive right now today we're reading o'malley's family restaurant so the story is called o'malley's family restaurant uh and it was written by
2:52Okay, I'm not seeing an author. Can we get an author check real quick? It's always hard because sometimes they don't post that shit there. Well, fandom it's just like the story and they don't give a lot of detail to it Standbys normally doesn't happen I'm gonna let you know right now. This coffee's gonna run through me and when I do I'm taking the camera to the bathroom with me that's whatever and whatever horse that happened then that's totally fine with me everyone's got to be a part of it you know i boldly said earlier i was like oh i'm not going to uh i'm uh wait by i.e.s hold on i think i found i had it but it's weird formatted uh o'malley's family restaurant creepypasta author question mark according to this youtuber Oh, yeah.
3:40It says, original author is unprecedented and unknown. Wait, so O'Malley's Family Restaurant, who, when was this written? Was this like a before 2010 kind of story? No, it was posted to, well, the YouTube video someone read was three years ago, but I guess the story could be older. I'm not seeing on the website. Is this a mystery author? Sure. Sure, yeah, it could be a mystery author. I think it's a mystery author. I'm not seeing the date this was posted. Yeah, I don't know when this was posted or who posted. whatever who fucking cares it's called O'Malley's Family Restaurant O'Malley's Family Restaurant we're having to read from our phones so I'm reading the Waffle House menu he's reading the Waffle House menu I'm going to be reading from my phone so if it looks like I'm texting and stuff just know that it's me reading the story they just look as just gay porn on my phone yeah you're on your camera the whole time just scrolling pictures of guys kissing are you a little out of your element right now?
4:34cause like you wouldn't yell creep cast I'm horrible at recording in public And now you're afraid about being accused of being on your phone when we're clearly reading a story. So. Well, I thought, I didn't know if people are going to think, I didn't want to sit there and be like this. And then people were like, oh, he's just on his phone the whole time. Which would be obvious, but I don't know. You ever watch something where, like, he wasn't even paying attention, he was just on his phone? No. Oh, I see that sometimes. Whatever, dude, I'm human. I think. I will say, unironically. I think people are beautiful, and my life is filled with love.
5:04He's so happy that he's on it. I'm so thrilled. Wow. You can't take this from me. And then also, for people wondering, we're not fucking going to order food and be gobbling it up. You know, you said that, and I said that too. I'd be like, I'm not going to order until afterwards, Bevan. Are you going to order? I've been thinking about a waffle. Are you going to eat one waffle? We are at the house of waffles. No, no, no. I'm going to eat like an actual delicacy after we record. But during the recording, a waffle. I feel like we should at least order and have it on the table to set these. If you go to the bathroom, I'm going to order a waffle.
5:42Can I have one normal waffle?
5:46Is there seasonal waffle still, the firework one? I think it is. No, but if it's something else, I want to know. It's probably still the pop rocks. It's just like pop rocks on there, which was good a few times. I'm not crazy about it. Actually, a peanut butter. butter waffle there you go yeah there you go yeah exactly yeah yeah i'll do a peanut butter i'm so happy right now you're about to say something a second you're like listen no no no i think that's totally cool i think uh i'm ready before that yeah i cut you off because i was excited i don't remember okay i couldn't tell you logo facing out also to be clear because there'll be accusations of this uh we are not paid to do this uh this is a trial run that we're trying to do with him.
6:35Please God, notice me. Bridge the gap, please. I've been in their Instagram comments for a year. They'll post something and I'll come and be like, hi. I'll write in the little asterisk. It's like, gets sweaty, notices you, points fingers. I was wondering, could we be partners? I think Kayla posted a picture because this isn't a joke. I sound a little too crazy right now. When my daughter was born, I was wearing a Waffle House t-shirt. I didn't think about it at the time. But Kayla posted a picture from the delivery room and was like, Isaiah met our daughter in a Waffle House t-shirt and tagged Waffle House.
7:13Waffle House was like, congratulations. And I replied and I was like, thanks for noticing me, senpai. I love Waffle House. I like how it's literally just a southern restaurant that serves waffles and eggs. You know what I like about it? Do you want any coffee? You could go. I will take a refill if you don't mind. Also, hi, how are you? Hi, I'm just waffle-tastic. How about you? I am perfect. Could I actually, I know I said earlier that I wouldn't eat until afterwards. Could I get a peanut butter waffle? Perfect. I'll do a, I'll put an order to then. I'll do. Are we getting food food right now?
7:54Sure. Well, I don't want to like eat, eat. I'll do an all-star special. All right, he's going in. All right. I'll do scrambled eggs. I'll do bacon. I'll do hash browns. I'll do cheese on the hash browns. I'll do white toast. Can I do a chocolate chip waffle? Thank you. That was a respectable order besides the scrambled eggs.
8:22The best thing to get here and the thing I get every time, you get the cheesesteak hash brown bowl as it comes with the onions, and then you put two eggs over easy on top and then ketchup. You need to calm the fuck down. I'm so excited. I'm fired up. Although, I will take you up. I will order whatever you decide. Thank you. This guy gets it. He understands. Will you be ordering a bowl, too? We have an entourage of people ordering steak bowls then. Yes. Do you want what I got? All right. He wants a cheesesteak hash brown bowl with the onions. two eggs over easy on top. You like your eggs over easy?
9:05Perfect. Excellent. Trust me. It's just like a traditional Poke Bowl. Look, what I love about Waffle House, and again, not paid, not sponsored, I just asked to do this for myself. We're just here. We walked in and we're like, can we record? And they're like, we don't care. What I love about Waffle House is regardless of where you are, regardless of... This is true crime footage. This is true crime footage. This is you about to murder me. Murder me later that night. You're not going to ruin this for me. Regardless of where you are, it is the same quality of worker. They're always hospitable. They're always eager.
9:43And it is the same quality of food that it always tastes like a good American hash brown bowl. What violence, though, statistically, at Wall Valley's, huh? Because it's the only restaurant that's open 24 hours everywhere. A lot of things happening at 11 a.m. in the morning. Say that again? A lot of violence happening between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The only fights I've ever seen at a Waffle House have been at night. I've never witnessed a daytime fight at a Waffle House. Daytime, it's always the old guys. The nighttime, that's when it gets. That's Waffle House Plus. It's like the new game Plus mode.
10:15Well, do you want to start reading? I was at a Waffle House in North Carolina, and we had just got off a hike, and we had walked over there because it was across the street from the park. Right. And one of my friends didn't wear enough gear and he was shivering. Mm-hmm. And the waitress... Oh, go ahead. Thank you very much. Appreciate you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Appreciate it. Thank you. We're going to order the same thing. Yes, please. We went to this Waffle House across the street. One of my friends had gotten cold and he was shivering. Right. And the lady, the waitress, brought him a blanket.
10:54We were like, where'd you get the blanket from? And she said when she worked at a Waffle House on the southern border of Texas, there'd be people that come in at night, and they were freezing and everywhere to go. So she started bringing blankets to work and handing them out to people as they were walking through and stuff. That attitude, that love of humanity, you do not find at any other chain restaurant. What are you doing? I tried making a paper airplane. Out of a napkin. It is not sturdy enough. But I tried. You are in church. Show some respect. I'm sorry. Thank you. Okay. So with that, we're reading O'Malley's Family Restaurant.
11:36Also, in the comments, let me know what your Waffle House order is. Mine's better, but I'm just curious. I feel like me right now is how you see me all the time. actually that's extremely accurate actually oh i'm so happy yeah but i don't care all right what you're gonna get is over easy eggs in the jalapeno bowl you know what's funny is the level of promo i'm doing right now for nothing yeah for nothing because anyone because anything else if this was paid it feels so fake but this is just passion It's just the love of the game. Anyway, are you ready to begin, Hunter? Yes. Let's begin. O'Malley's Family Restaurant.
12:21As younger siblings tend to do, I absolutely worshipped my older brother Calvin. He always seemed like the coolest person in the world to me. Show me that. Oh my gosh. Dude. That jump scared me. I did not expect that. I thought it'd be funny if he cut the editor and was like, wow. Bro. That was a lot. That's the most disrespectful. I've seen people fist fight on these floors. That's the most disrespectful thing I've ever seen someone do here. I just think it's funny. You keep it going whenever you blur or whatever. And it's a funny edit. We don't even stop it. It just keeps going. As younger siblings tend to do, I always, I absolutely worshipped my older brother Calvin.
13:00He always seemed like the coolest person in the world to me. No matter what he did, it fascinated me beyond belief. Everybody liked him. He was president of his class, a star baseball player. just had an all-around great personality. Why'd you scoff at that one? No one really likes the president of their class. Do they? Now, if it was, a star baseball player is pretty good. You know what's funny? I was class president. Were you? I was, yeah.
13:31Take him out of your wallet. Actually, you know what? I've been seeing you over this. You haven't done one thing. Buddy, take care, man. Have a good day, man. Appreciate you. That guy's a hero. We have to leave all this in, by the way. The extra stuff to talk. This is for an audience. Because we were worried that we didn't talk to people earlier. Like, none of the people here knew what was going on. They could have said, no, he's married. They had a drink I talked to earlier. Oh, okay, so they just passed out again. Alright, easy enough.
14:03Do you want some of this, Hunter? No. I'd just say no like that. I just don't man, what the fuck? Am I gonna be ashamed for not wanting your fucking funeral? I want you to play with me. Also you talked - I want you to play with me. You topped up - you hyped up that fucking bowl and then you didn't even get the bowl. I'm gonna eat it after we're done recording. I can't be reading and be like, This is an occasional treat. Well go ahead. Is that the pace? Yes, thank you. I'm gonna order the bowl after we eat. Well give us at least a breakdown of like the texture, everything else. When you cut into this, what are you looking for?
14:36Okay, so what you're looking for... because they're all the waffle house waffles always have the really shallow part so you can't over syrup it really right it's always on the top well you can come up no you can thank you um so with the peanut butter i mean the the waffle house waffles are always like very not doughy but like very soft on the inside so as long as they're not on there too long they always taste very soft and pleasant right oh oh this is my job I'm at a Waffle House recording a scary story. Ten-year-old me would be so proud. He'd be like, dude, we're awesome. My job is being handcuffed to a man-child who's obsessed with Waffle House.
15:25Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you, thank you. That was an incredibly rude read. I'm going to do the exact same thing I'm going to get my butter I'm going to smear around here and really truly I think that people are going to say well this episode was a bit of a wash because they didn't read the story as fast as they normally do I'll tell you the real horrors of this is diabetes and the future that I have with it if you look at the amount of butter here if you think that I'm making it two or three more years on this earth you god you are just you couldn't have read it more wrong You said five years the other day, you're taking yourself down.
16:08Well, I mean, look what's... What am I doing? Tomorrow you're going to be like, well, any moment now. Yeah, tomorrow I'm going to be like, well, it was nice seeing you, buddy. Hopefully I'll see you in two weeks. If not, it was nice knowing you. You dropped me off at the airport and then the car careens off into the railing. I always like doing the pentagram and it goes in. Don't do that. I did, I just did. Just poured a pentagram. I like how you said you can't go over. Look at that. That is clearly over. You are desecrating this place to me right now. Look at this fucking swamp. I just forwarded.
16:35Why do I take you anywhere? I should have done this by myself. Are you unbuttoning your shirt? What are you doing right now?
16:47Kitting me nice and waffle here. Mmm. Wow. Oh, it's good. Mmm. Oh, it is. Thank you. Go ahead. Sit down. I would say he isn't like this, but he is like this. That's good. Do you want jelly? Oh, no. No, no. This is fine. You know, I've worked with this man for three years. Yeah, he's like this all the time. Thank you. Someone understands. Oh, my gosh. It's good and good for you. I'll tell you what this means. This whole meal is high protein. Sugar and carbs. You went from scared. I thought it was her. You went from scared to yelling here. It's pretty confident. I'm buttoning your shirt I have to just break the mold at some point.
17:41Okay. Oh, yeah. Yeah, so this is my order This is the thing I always get No, no, no it is his I'm just showing it off for the camera because it's my this is my go-to order So cheesesteak hash brown bowl You got your hash browns you got cheese your onions your eggs and your meat on top It's delicious you put ketchup on this. It's a whole other ballgame Catch up. Alright, anyway. Calvin, older brother, class president, baseball star, all that. Why don't you tell me the scariest thing that's ever happened to you at a Waffle House?
18:19Scariest thing that ever happened. Because I actually have a horror story. I mean, every time I go to one, there's always something strange happening, and I think this qualifies. But, like, last one I was at, there was, like, a marching band outside that one of the waitresses was like a marching band director in high school, so she was outside just directing them on their strides or whatever. So it's always something weird. I'm trying to think of a scary experience. There's been times I've been in one by myself, and it's been kind of odd. Someone walked by, looked in, just kind of like the strange people walked by, but nothing to.
18:52What's your horror story? My Uncle PJ was drinking coffee here. He was drinking coffee at a Waffle House, and he got food as well. He had a stroke and was blind the rest of his life. I watched him have a stroke. Have you ever seen anyone have a stroke? You watched your uncle have a stroke in a waffle house. How old were you? Twelve. Wow. What did you do?
19:21Unironically.
19:26Your uncle was having a stroke next to you and you kept eating waffles? Well.
19:39Oh, oh no. Oh no.
19:46Did anyone help him? Oh, tons of people. I was 12. There's so many events that have happened to you that make so much sense. What am I supposed to do as a 12-year-old? Actually, stand aside. I mean I guess as long as other people are helping him that's all you really can do you know we go he went stiffy and he was basically Well, who's really fucked up because everyone in my family called a porky pig for the long time because when it happened He did this he was like Whatever because your brain kind of skirts out whatever yeah, because what do you it was like say some drink coffee And he started saying something he's like like this wasn't exactly but he's just like yeah I need to get more oil
20:29Like that and start doing that. Everyone's like, what the fuck is wrong with you? And then it kind of all sets in. Oh my gosh. But he's blind. Still. Like I said, there's so much to make sense about you. God damn, I'll tell you what. A little bit of chocolate chips in the hash browns there. A little salt. A little sweet. Not bad. Never is. I know, seriously, let's get down to reading the story. Calvin.
21:02I'll tell you right now, I'm not gonna make it. Even that half cup of coffee, I'm telling you, I'm gonna have diarrhea. Should I take the camera in the bathroom when I have diarrhea? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I think I should keep reading while you're doing it so the camera can cut back and forth. That'll be a funny side-by-side, yeah.
21:22All the girls thought he was such a stud. Much to my surprise. And although he was older, Calvin wasn't the stereotypical monster. I think that's why I got along so well. For one thing, he would never dream of hurting me in any way. When I told my psychiatrist this, they couldn't believe it. An older brother that never once tortured his younger sister? There was no way one of those existed anywhere. Calvin was different. He never heard a fly. His bedroom door was always open whenever I needed someone to talk to. He let me lie on his floor and listen to his Led Zeppelin records with him while he did his homework.
21:54I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. As the two of us grew up... That doesn't have to be weird. As the two of us grew up in a small town in the middle of Rhode Island, we only became closer. Maybe it was because of our family situation, but we both needed each other greatly. Our father was an alcoholic. Preach. He'd always come home drunk and take out all his anger on us. Calvin never let him get to me, though. He would let me sleep with him in his bed most nights, so I wouldn't have to hear our parents fighting through the bedroom walls alone. Our mother was a saint. She was one of the only people I could turn to for help.
22:30She was the only one besides my brother who understood the pain. Sadly, she died when I was 13. The autopsy showed that mom had an overdose on painkillers. They ruled it as accidental, but I was never so sure. After she was gone, our father only got worse. It got so bad that the second he graduated, Calvin moved into an apartment on the other side of town and took me with him Our father barely protested British Shireen ever wanted kids in the first place From then on it was just Calvin and I on our own in the big world That's a bit of a hack too putting a little bit of salt on the hash browns needing a little bit of salt I can respect that You don't have to do it on the cheesesteak bowl because you get the salt off the steak because it's seasoned in there with the salt and pepper and stuff like that but I do agree He attended the local community college And worked part time at a grocery store I'm gonna shit my pants in I'm not a big coffee drinker Every time dude It wasn't the most glamorous thing But it helped to get the food on the table I was hard to look after I was deeply disturbed after such a tough childhood I wasn't good at making friends Or being friendly But my

23:49I'm moaning. I'm just having a hard time here. You know what I should do? I should have done a canned cold brew. I think that would have said a little better. For me, cold brew is always worse. That goes straight. I drink coffee all the time, and that goes through me quick. Really? Yeah. But my brother never turned his back on me. We were away from our broken home, and we're just happy to have each other. It's at this point in our lives that we made the biggest mistake we ever could The two of us didn't know it at the time, but to this day I still regret picking up that phone more than anything It was the end of summer, around 1976 The winds were brisk as early September was approaching fast Calvin and I had been on our own then for about two years I was 15, he was 19 I remembered that I was sitting at the kitchen table, finishing my homework Calvin was working on fixing frozen TV dinners the phone was in the living room i jumped up immediately when it started to ring hello i asked this is a little girl hello i asked into the receiver it was joey malone joey was my brother's best friend in high school the two of them were practically joined to the hip till they went their separate ways for college joey was in miami and i could hear the longing for his friend in his voice after we caught up for a brief moment he turned serious hey let me talk to your brother real quick that's a joey malone voice yeah i've got some news i think in my life yeah i rolled my eyes playfully and handed the receiver to calvin i could hear my brother laughing from the living room as he caught up with his old friend they must have been on the phone for a good hour because i had already taken our tv dinners out of the oven and had finished fine by the time calvin walked in hey sorry about that laurel he smiled softly taking his seat across from me may not I never believe what Joey's been up to.
25:35Cocked an eyebrow suspiciously. Is he on America's Most Wanted already? No, but he might as well be. His neighbors are going to Bermuda for Labor Day weekend. They start a monster party in their house while they're gone. He's invited us to come and crash. Can you believe it? He chuckled, taking a bite of frozen chicken. I should have known right then that we shouldn't go. It's illegal to break into someone's home, but even more illegal to throw a party in it. I should have known that it wasn't a good idea, but I was naive. 15-year-old girl. And all I wanted most in the world was to be a legend like my big brother was.
26:11So, of course, I agreed. Calvin and I planned to drive up to Joey's house. It would take us about a day from Rhode Island, but the two of us were stoked. We didn't even notice. We spent the long car ride blasting the doors on the radio. This was definitely when I felt most content. It was the best time of my life. little did I know the tremor that we'd be thrown into later that night if I had I would have made Calvin turn the car around and drive off a cliff we'd been in the car for about 13 hours this was around 9 o 'clock that night when we noticed that we were in nowhere land our map said we were in New Jersey but it didn't seem like it wait weren't they starting in they were starting in Rhode Island and going to Florida right how much for 13 hours are they in New Jersey yeah we've been in the car for about 13 hours it was about nine o 'clock didn't even notice anyway maybe that's the thing maybe the gps is wrong she says are you sure we aren't lost maybe they've been just circling it's time to talk about something scary your health i know i don't go in the doctor as much as i should if i'm feeling sick i'll just lie in bed and sleep it away but that's only because i don't want to have to deal with the appointments insurance and blah blah blah blah blah that's why i have zocdoc zocdoc is a free app and website where you can search and compare high quality in-network doctors choose the right one for your needs and click to instantly book an appointment we're talking about in-network appointments with more than a hundred thousand health care providers across every specialty from mental health to dental health eye care to skin care and much more and the nice thing about zoc doc is that you can filter for doctors that take your insurance are nearby and are highly rated it's super easy to use and you can find an appointment time that works for you with the right doctor for your needs plus zoc doc appointments happen fast typically within just 24 to 72 hours of booking you can even score same day appointments you don't want to admit it but you should probably see a doctor so stop putting off those doctor's appointments and go to zoc doc dot com slash creepcast to find and instantly book a top rated doctor today that's zoc doc dot com slash creepcast zocdoc.com slash creepcast thank you zoc doc for sponsoring the episode back to our spooky story
28:44i asked my brother is uh chewed a wad of bubble gum kept his eyes firmly on the road ahead of us nodding his head. Of course we aren't. Joey told me the directions himself. Rolled my eyes, blowing a bubble. We must have been driving through nothing but trees for another hour before I finally declared that we were lost. My brother had the crazy idea that his best friend was some kind of genius, but I knew better. Calvin was getting tired, and I was getting restless. I'd been sitting in the same position for too long and couldn't feel my legs. Can we please pull over somewhere? Rewind, my bubblegum slowly losing its taste.
29:17Don't you think I would have about two hours ago? There's nowhere to pull over to. Calvin replied, stifling a cough. Turned to a slight wheeze, which caused my ears to perk up. Are you okay? I asked him, concerned feeling my voice. He nodded, brushing it off as just a tickle in his throat. Usually that would have been enough to interest me. That night, I was on full alert. Calvin had already bad asthma. I'd almost lost it many times because of it, which was scary to think about. Almost as scary as the endless road in front of us. It was about 30 minutes later that Calvin began to get frustrated.
29:51Shit. Grumbled to himself. That jackass had no idea what he was talking about. I didn't reply. I knew he wouldn't admit that I was right. I was beginning to feel uncomfortable with our surroundings. It was weird that we had driven two hours through nothing but trees. Only seeing another passing car every 50 miles or so, I didn't want to admit it. But I was scared. Where were we going to sleep? On the side of the road? Just the thought of that creeped me out. Both of us were hungry. At one point, Calvin had asked me to check the map to see if there were any rest stops or motels anywhere close. There weren't.
30:25Not until it was about 10.30. Calvin was practically falling asleep at the wheel when my eyes fell upon a small speck on our ancient-looking map. Calvin, get up! I shook him, because I haven't risen in my voice. There's a restaurant coming up in about 20 miles. His eyes popped open. Are you serious? Yeah, it's called Waffle House. There should be an exit up ahead somewhere. Hold on, hold on, hold on. We don't know what O'Malley's is up to. He has a just giant child bed of our ring. I was just like, no! I'm like, no! I couldn't believe our luck. It did strike me as odd that this was the only sign of civilization for hundreds of miles.
31:04But I was so hungry. I didn't care. I gave Calvin the directions of the place. There weren't any signs in the pitch black forest, but I knew that we were getting close. I could feel it. Pretty soon, Calvin turned and there it was. You can still see the neon sign and bright lights. O'Malley's looked like your typical 1950s-style diner. It was a small building with large glass windows, making it easy to look inside. I could see a few people sitting down. Calvin parked on the dirt road outside. I jumped out anxiously, dying to stretch my legs. It's a lot colder in that area for September. I pulled a sweatshirt over my head as Calvin buttoned up his jacket.
31:43I could smell coffee and homemade pie drifting out through the sliding glass door Calvin and I walked side by side as I looked up at the sign I noticed there was another part to it that I hadn't seen before flickered every now and then in the moonlight O'Malley's Family Restaurant Motel on Eastside it almost seems like this is getting prepped up as like a white fall that's what I was thinking it's like a final stop or like the other sort of thing you know out there I've come across some waffle houses in some weird places you know well it definitely seems like when they were driving I don't know how they drove through they crossed over because they're in New Jersey after 13 hours I tell you what, driving 13 hours and still feeling like you're theoretically in New Jersey I'd be like, fuck this get me out of here can you imagine being in Newark for 13 hours I'd kill myself I guess you could spend the night here too if you wanted Calvin smirked.
32:41He stepped through the door. The floors were checkered and the rows of red vinyl booths were almost all filled.
32:52Good choice, Harry. There were a few burly looking men over at the counter, sipping hot coffee out of mugs. A woman sat with her young daughter and the two of them giggling softly, eating plates of pancakes. A group of teenagers in leather jackets stood over by the jukebox. one slipped a dime into it some ancient tune by buddy holly started to play an unbelievable feeling of dread immediately fell over me came out of nowhere but it wouldn't go away i immediately regretted pulling up there i didn't even hear the woman come up to us can i help you kids her voice was soft like butter i glanced up and was met with the dark eyes of an elderly woman she wore a red dress and matching shoes a dirty apron draped over her front her apple doll face smiled down at us her silver hair gleaming in the lights overhead I didn't speak I don't know why but I couldn't open my mouth I'll tell you what though with like the sizzling of the griddle the stacking of plates perfect background noise for this what next time we go next time we do yeah if there's ever another Broska thing we need to go to like some kind of abandoned mill and have like people screaming I have a buddy who works at a sawmill.
34:09We can just sit in there and you can't hear a word. Yeah, so that's what... Yes, ma 'am. Calvin said with a smile. We just like a quick bite to eat before we hit the road again. He poked me in the back and I nodded my head feebly in agreement. My name is Millie, Millie O'Malley. Welcome to my humble little restaurant. The laugh had years of age visible in every syllable and it made me uncomfortable. It's nice to meet you, Millie. I'm Calvin Duncan. This is my sister, Laurel. I still didn't feel right as I reluctantly took her hand in mine. I could see a bit of spinach in her teeth, for obviously dentures.
34:46She was somebody's grandmother, but something about her made me uneasy. I guess I got that way around anybody knew that I met. The bad vibes were coming off of her. Laurel, that's such a lovely name. I managed a weak smile as many let out another laugh. Well, I don't want to keep you kids standing around. Come on, I'll find you two a booth. Calvin and Millie were talking up a storm. I hung behind them, pretending not to notice. I learned that Millie and her husband Ted had opened the restaurant a couple of years ago after retiring. She was the hostess, and he was the cook. They didn't have any children, which is why Millie enjoyed it so much when younger people stopped in.
35:24Calvin was always so polite. He laughed at her jokes and told her our sob story. When she learned that we didn't really have any parents, her expression changed. Almost to one of... The lie. Uh-oh. Which also, does that not just read where it's just like, Oh, I'm going to take them to be my own kids. I'm going to kidnap these children. You want to be an O'Malley? No. Oh, you poor things. Well, consider me your mother for the night. She handed us our menus as I took a seat across from my brother in the booth. Calva just chuckled and thanked her once more. She walked away. He opened his menu with a smile.
36:01Isn't she just the sweetest woman you've ever met? He beamed with his light brown bangs falling over his eyes. I didn't reply. I slashed down to my seat, not bothering to look at meal choices. I suddenly wasn't hungry anymore. My eyes wandered elsewhere. I watched as the teenagers by the jukebox drank coke straight out of the bottle and talked amongst themselves. What's the matter? Are you feeling okay? Concern in his voice. I just nodded my head. I want you to know for this story, I'm Calvin and you're Laurel. Also, I just want to say, didn't know. I know we haven't gone really far into this.
36:36I will say I do like the brother-sister dynamic here. At first, it felt a little, I couldn't tell it like a little cheesy or whatever. Also, I think it was just the social anxiety of being in this fucking place and having teenage children yell over and be like, Is that a lie detector test? When we started recording, there were these kids over there, like high school, just like being rowdy. and they saw us and started yelling over here, kind of heckling, and Hunter, like, you were on your back foot. You got... What do you mean I was on my back foot? You were like, I don't like this. I don't like this.
37:10I don't like this. You want to remind me of? What? Remember the episode of Louie? When, like, the 15-year-old kids come over, and he's, like, on a date in a diner, and they come up, and they, like, basically punk him in front of the guy, and, like, it gives the girl in the ick, and she breaks up with him. Yeah. So good. Have 15-year-olds come over and kick the shit out of me, and Isaiah's like, yeah, so... I don't want to do the show. Actually, I think I'm going back to... Oh.
37:38God! God! Oh.
37:50Believe everything else.
37:58Here, take another bite of your waffle. Give yourself a breather. I'm good, I'm good. I said that, and then I breathed in, and I felt more water. You had your goddamn zen in, is what happened. No, no. Not in church. I want to take a moment to thank today's sponsor, Brunt Workwear. And that's because Brunt Work boots are some of the most comfortable work boots that you'll wear. I know it may sound hard to believe that I, a YouTuber, would know what the W word is, but on occasion I have been known to lift heavy objects and place them somewhere else, and when that happens I know how annoying it can be if your shoe isn't comfortable.
38:35And with Brunt there's no painful break-in period and they're ready to go right out of the box. And they have options from every type of work, from waterproof boots, to soft toe, to safety toe, to lace up, to pull on, you name it. Right away you can feel the difference in comfort out of the box. Not only are they comfortable on the inside but they're also durable and sturdy enough to last you on a job site. As you can see you keep a pretty wide range of motion. These are the Omen boots from Brunt and I couldn't be more happy with them. And Brunt stands behind what they make so much that you can wear your boots to work and even then if you don't like them you can send them back.
39:11Brunt was tired of workwear brands out there that were cutting corners. It doesn't make sense for you to work hard just to be in uncomfortable shoes that don't hold up. So they built something better. Boots that are comfortable and tough enough for any job site. And if you're looking to get in on Brunt, then now's the perfect time. That's because for a limited time, our listeners can head to the link in the description at BruntWorkwear.com and use code CREEPCAST to get$10 off at checkout. That's right,$10 off. Again, just head to the link in the description at BruntWorkwear.com and use code CREEPCAST to get$10 off your order today.
39:43And after your order, if you could let them know that we sent you, we'd really appreciate it. Thank you to Brunt for sponsoring the show. Their link will be in the description and we are now back to the episode.
39:57I just nodded my head. I didn't answer when he asked me what I wanted to eat. I knew that I was getting on his nerves, but I honestly couldn't care less. When Millie came over to take our orders, I remained quiet. Galvin ordered us pancakes and hot chocolate with a warm smile. As she walked away, he turned back to me, his expression annoyed. What's your deal tonight, Laurel? You're acting like a little kid. Don't you feel the least bit uncomfortable around her? Raised an eyebrow, Goblin looked at me, confused. What are you talking about? Mrs. O'Malley, don't you feel it? She's weird. Something about her doesn't seem right to me.
40:31I don't know how he couldn't see it. She's just being nice. God, stop acting so stuck up and try to appreciate what she's doing for us. Alvin shot back harshly. Rolled my eyes and didn't speak to him for the remainder of our meal. And I wish that I would have. I didn't know then that that would have been one of the last moments I would ever spend with my brother again. Oh shit. You know what's kind of fun though with this dynamic is two different approaches to adults like a paternal figure how they react to it. Laurel is definitely more like on the defensive which I don't know her fucking spidey senses went off or something, but she felt something.
41:06But then it's also like, it's almost like Laurel wants to push people away, and then her brother wants to just embrace them immediately and get that attention. Just kind of a fun character dynamic. Two opposites. It's for something that is inherently campy as like a supernatural or creepy diner kind of thing. It's a fun dynamic to explore that with. I think it's cool. Also, just how fucking creepy is that line? The one that would be, I wouldn't ever spin with my brother again. It'd be the last time I ever, yeah. When our food arrived, Calvin thanked Millie for me. I picked up my food and stared down at my shoes.
41:40Calvin pretended not to notice. We never fought. We'd have squabbles, and this was one of them. Calvin was always so patient with me. He had a good heart and took good care of me. But I wasn't an easy kid to look after. I often wonder if that's what got my father so angry. I was extremely stubborn. I was reluctant to anybody who wasn't Calvin. I had trust issues from growing up in a home where I didn't feel safe. Came off as cold a lot of the time. My brother was usually the only one who would come for me. But even he sometimes got fed up. I'm going to the bathroom. I spoke for the first time in half an hour.
42:17Calvin just nodded his head, taking a sip of his drink. I slid out of the vinyl booth and made my way to the back. I locked myself in a stall and stood against the wall. I don't know how long I was in there. I just needed to be away from the table. when i returned however calvin was talking to millie and who i assumed was her husband ten it was a bigger man with a few gray hair still clinging to his balding head his greasy apron hung over khaki pants and a green flannel shirt they were all laughing about something calvin stopping to cough now and again i walked over to the table as quietly as i could calvin looked up at me and smirked may i try uh excuse me ma 'am excuse me sorry sorry about that Can I try your cold brew can?
43:00Thank you. Oh, no. He wants to. He's... I'll just do the can if that's okay. Thank you. Yeah, look at that waffle deal. Is it only sold here? It's only sold here unless you can get it online. We have like a thing where you can use that online. Ah
43:34Oh, wow that is really good holy shit you know try that I haven't tried it in a while. It's really good Very smooth That's better than I remember That's good. Oh cuz you say you've had it before I've had like when it first came out But I remember it's being a bit stronger like a bit more taunt, but that's pretty good I once again promise no, this is paid for advertising. I just wanted to be here. There's one. I don't do a lot of potted coffee, but I will sit. You want to try it? I don't do a lot of potted coffee, but I do love the cold brew stuff or like basically anything like an ice drink, whatever.
44:09I tend to like them pretty. It's pretty good. A lot. You are going to the bathroom. Well, I'm already feeling it, yeah. You're going to the bathroom. I think he tried to spur that a little bit. Well, speak of the devil. He joked, motioning for me to come sit by him. I sat on his laugh like I used to when I was younger. He must have forgiven me, or at least I've been faking it in front of the O'Malley's. I didn't care. I clung to my brother tightly. I've been wondering what brought you kids all the way up here. Millie said suddenly, her unsettling smile growing wider. We don't get many visitors up here.
44:42We're driving up to Florida to visit some old friends. Oh, I'm glad that we found this place, though. Millie glanced at Ted. He blinked, his expression changing to one of pleasure. I stayed silent for a moment, as if contemplating an answer. I clutched Calvin's jeans in my hand. We're a bit in the middle of nowhere, I guess. Ted chuckled. He was missing a few teeth. The remaining ones, his mouth, were all yellow. I turned to look out the window. I watched the truck as the three of them continued to talk. Well, we'd really like to thank you folks for your con hospitality. How much do we owe you?
45:15Calvin asked, reaching into his pocket for his wallet. Millie shook her head. No, no, it's on the house. When my brother tried to protest, she put a bony finger to his lip. Smiled in gratitude, getting up to leave. I jumped off his lap gently and was just about to reach for the door when Ted jumped menacingly in my way. Hey! What do you kids think you're doing? You can't go driving out now. It's nearly one o 'clock in the morning. I wouldn't know. There were no clocks or signs of time anywhere in the diner. It was like we were in the Twilight Zone. I glanced worriedly at Calvin, trying to signal him to keep walking.
45:50You two look like you've been driving all day. I don't think it'd be wise to get behind the wheel when you're tired. Come on in the back. You've got a nice little motel where you kids can stay until morning. I froze. There was no way in hell that I was spending another second with those creeps. That's all right. We'll be fine. My brother wasn't so sure. I don't know, Laurel. I'm really tired and you're still enraged. I don't want to put our lives at risk by falling asleep at the wheel. Talvin said feebly. shook my head and grabbed his hand he was stronger than me though I got pulled back onto the checkered floor Calvin!
46:26tried to object but he ignored me and walked back to Millie I think we'll take a room for the night he smiled pushing me behind his back Millie grinned and winked at her husband wonderful Ted will show you two to the motel across the way if you'll give me your car keys I can go fetch your luggage for you my mouth was dry I watched as my brother pulled his keys out of his back pocket and told her where our suitcases were I couldn't believe it. I grabbed onto the back of Calvin's jacket as I watched Millie walk outside. It just brushed me off. This is an interesting dynamic because, like you said, he desperately wants companionship, kind of the presence, and she's more resistant to it.
47:04And he's being far too trusting of them, but it makes sense why because he's so desperate for that kind of relationship. Also, I'm chalking it up to also the 70s. Yeah, that's true. I also feel like people back then were also just like, Sure. Yeah, kids, do whatever you want. Why not? And all of a sudden, then someone's getting skinned, and they're made into an Isaiah skin lamp. All right, well, it doesn't have to be an Isaiah. It can be any skin lamp, really. I trailed behind hopelessly. Ted led us into another building a few feet away from the restaurant. It was smaller than the diner, but only by a little.
47:35It was made entirely out of logs, as if Abe Lincoln had built it only weeks prior. He and Calvin were chatting away about who knows what. Ted pulled a key out of his pocket and quietly pushed the door open. The inside of the motel was depressing. The walls were made completely out of wood, and portraits of mountain landscapes hung on them in rows. An oriental rug lay on the floor, just underneath the front desk. There was a guestbook, a cactus in a small pot, and a vintage-looking handbell on top of it. I shuddered. There was a heavy draft in there. I looked as if there had been a vacancy for years.
48:09Well, this is the place. I don't think it's necessary to have you two sign in the guestbook, so I'll show you up to your room. I think I want to sign so someone has a record that I was there. I think I want to sign a lot. I think I'll sign anything you need me to. Laurel was here. Ted smiled, his grotesque teeth gleaming in the light. Let us up a staircase on the right side of the lobby. The hallway was lit by a few mothy overhead lamps. It was long, just like the rest of the motel, wooden. There were about five rooms on each side of us. Doors closed. It was a bit dusty, which started up another round of quiet wheezing for Calvin.
48:46I rolled my eyes. He got us into this. I felt no sympathy. Ah, here we are. He stood in front of a room and pulled open the door. There were two twin beds with quilt blankets and feathered pillows. A large window with a desk underneath the face dust. The carpet was a rusty red, the wallpaper slightly peeling at the edges. Some more paintings of mountains and seasides hung around on pathetic-looking nails. I swallowed thickly. Ted reached over me, placing a meaty hand on the light switch above my head. The room didn't look any better, so it was flooded with an eerie, orangish light. It looks very homey.
49:23Thanks a lot, Ted. Calvin smiled. I slowly descended inside and sat on one of the beds, sinking down almost immediately. I could distantly hear Ted telling my brother where the bathroom was, where to go for breakfast, things like that. I watched silently as Millie returned upstairs with our luggage. I must have zoned out for longer than I thought, because when I looked back, the door was closed and Calvin was unpacking our suitcases. We shouldn't be here. I spoke for the first time in what felt like forever. The walls felt like they were closing in on me. Calvin remained silent as he tossed me my pajamas.
49:55What are you going to tell Joey? We're supposed to be at his house tonight. I heard my brother let out a loud sigh. It's the kind of sigh that your father might let out at the end of a long day. I knew I was a problem child. I knew that it took a lot of patience to look after me I was stressful to deal with If Calvin hadn't rescued me from the wrath of our father I'd probably have turned out way worse I understood why I was tired He was tired of me Tired of having to deal with me Calvin must have sensed my uneasiness He walked over slowly and took a seat beside me on the bed I felt his arm wrap around my shoulder and squeeze it tightly We didn't say anything There was nothing we could say There was nothing that my brother could do to ease my attention Rested his chin on my shoulder He could hear his raspy breathing in my ear We're going to be okay, Laurel You need to sleep And with that, kissed my cheek and turned back to his side of the room We faced opposite directions as we undressed and got into our pajamas I reluctantly slipped under the moth-eaten blanket and freezing cold sheets After sitting up in an uncomfortable silence for nearly half an hour There was no way I was going to sleep I looked up at the dirty ceiling for what felt like hours listening to Calvin's breathing I don't know what time it was when I woke up I must have dozed off I don't remember it Calvin's what woke me up I heard him hastily throw his quilt onto the floor I heard him rustling through his suitcase his breathing was labored as if he had just run a marathon I lay up in bed Calvin, are you okay?
51:28I asked into the darkness I didn't get a response The zipper was unzipped and I heard my brother quickly rustling through his clothes Eventually, he found what he was looking for and walked towards the door I'm fine I just need to press air Calvin gasped out, clutching his inhaler in his hand Light flooded our room as he stepped into the hallway quietly He had these episodes a lot I always felt so helpless when he did There was nothing I could do except watch with wide eyes as he struggled to breathe He sounded so pained, broke my heart I wanted to go after him that night but I didn't I don't know why but I wish I would have those were the last words I'd ever hear him speak oh my god he was out there for about do you think it had anything to do with what he was eating?
52:18did she eat anything? she said she picked it up it seemed like she was just doing literally just like very well could have because she was being kind of pouty and mopey or whatever so then he was sitting there scarfing stuff down drinking everything they gave him and stuff like that so now it's good chance I mean it was also like they talk about his asthma and how dusty and musty it is in there and stuff so it could be from that but that's a good point depending on where this goes even if it was a the like ethereal 13 hour like loop or whatever if they did crossover or something even just setting something up of just like oh we're going down to Florida to 70s and we stop at this diner and it's like or like a more realistic like a grounded like this could actually happen yeah that'd be kind of fun too yeah yeah either way i'm fine i think because it's kind of between the loss of direction and uh also like the couple being creepy they've set it up for either way they could just be lost or it could be supernatural i don't know man i feel like as of late i just i feel like i've been really liking the grounded like more realistic one i don't know why they've just been hitting a bit more for me it's like a valley like a peaks and valley thing like i feel like supernatural stuff is either i like it if it's incredible yeah i mean it's either here or it's kind of here and for me an incredible real person one and an incredible supernatural the supernatural edges out about but if they're both just good then yeah the realism i think i like better actually so we get like we used to live here which i think was supernatural some way i love it or like a mother horse eyes, right?
53:50Like, the supernatural great stories outweigh... Oh, man, I mean, I see that narratively when it makes sense and it feels inspired. You can do so much with it. Girl in my backyard. Yeah, exactly. But that's the kind of one where I'm like, that one just hits on another level. Yeah, and it's sort of like... Or something like that has to be supernatural. But something like this, there are just the nice ones that's just a fucking aluminum bat to your face that's just like, hey, you got drugged and this is like a thing that just whatever. Yeah. Kind of like, what was the prisoners one we were talking about the other day?
54:16I kept saying it was like a prisoner situation. That was my dad finally told me Yeah, we kept talking about Which was a fun one So that's an example Story was excellent and I liked it If I ignored the supernatural Yeah, yeah, yeah Sometimes it feels like a crutch He was out there for about 20 minutes Before I finally walked out to check on him Usually took him a little while to calm down From these little fits I just wanted to sit next to him and rub his back And tell him that I was sorry for being a nuisance I wanted to do what he had done for me for so many years. Care for him. But when I opened the door, Calvin wasn't there.
54:57My feet were freezing in the brisk hallway. I rubbed my arms as goosebumps started forming on my pale skin. I reached inside for my sweatshirt and pulled it over my head. Looking around, panic slowly started to rise in my throat. I checked across the hall in the bathroom to see if Calvin was in there. He wasn't. There weren't many places he could go. Calvin? I called into the hallway. There was no response. I quietly walked back into our room and put on a pair of slippers. I snuck down the hallway and raced down the staircase. It wasn't in the lobby either. I wanted to cry. I choked back a heaving sob and turned back upstairs.
55:35There's no worse feeling than being completely alone in a place that you don't know. It's even worse when the only person you want to comfort you isn't there. One of the hallway lamps flickered overhead. I couldn't help the tears that streamed down my face My mind was racing with possibilities of where my dear brother could have gone In those moments, I regretted ever being mad at him I wondered if he had stormed off and left because I was just that annoying I was so caught up in the panic that I didn't see what I had tripped on I went flying face first onto the oriental carpet My face burned As I turned my body around to try and ease the pain My eyes widened in shock Calvin's inhaler was lying on the ground.
56:16It was just outside the door to our room where I had seen him go out earlier. It was then that I knew that something was seriously wrong. Calvin wouldn't leave that line around by choice. He wouldn't just drop it by accident. It suddenly dawned on me that wherever he went, he went unwillingly. I let out a sob. I curled up in a fetal position and called out his name one more time. A thousand thoughts pounded at the inside of my head. I tried to shake them off, but they wouldn't leave. I reached my shaking arms out and took the inhaler in my hands. I rolled the plastic around in my palm as I stood up, placing it in the pocket of my sweatshirt.
56:55I had to find him. We needed to get out of here. I didn't care if he didn't agree. Once I found him, we'd drive away and never come back to this freak show. I dashed back into our room and grabbed the car keys off the bedside table. I didn't bother grabbing anything else. my only focus was getting the hell out of there i tiptoed down the staircase the wood creaking under my feet pushing open the door i ran as fast as i could towards the diner my only exit to the outside world the lights were still on inside much to my surprise i try not to pay attention to the menacing trees leaning over me as i raced to the back door i was prepared to pound on it until my knuckles were red and bloody but it almost but it opened almost instantly i quietly slipped inside, looking anxiously for any sign of my brother.
57:43I could see Calvin struck on the other side of one of the clear glass windows. It looked so close, yet so far away. I don't know how much adrenaline was pumping through my body at that exact moment, but it took every ounce of strength I had not to just bolt then and there. The only thing that stopped me was the sound of a metal object clattering to the tiled floor behind me. It echoed loudly in my ears. As far as I could see, there was no one besides me in the building. all the customers were long gone i spun around quickly my neck jerking hard in the process the doors to the kitchen were closed when i tried to pry one open it was locked i kicked it as hard as i possibly could my toes were slowly bruising i screamed out into the emptiness of the diner for somebody anybody to come help me it felt like i've been in there for years a dizzying wave of nausea overtook me.
58:37I heard that object clatter again, as well as a few barely audible whispers. Someone said, Shit! I was quickly shushed. I had to hold my breath just to hear them again. Whatever it was, it was close by. The fuck people are hiding? Uh-huh. My neck craned, trying to peer into the kitchen once more. Glass windows were hidden. Can you imagine that was happening here in the Waffle House now? No one else is in here, and then you're like, Yeah, my My favorite order is this. And then you hear someone say, he's right, you know. He's right. That is the best order. There's just an eye in the vent looking straight down.
59:13David Waffle? Mr. House.
59:20No, come back, please. Takes a handful of Vicodin. Yeah, doctor.
59:29Comes up to me. So what seems to be a problem? Nothing. He has gout. Kill him. This man's clearly... You fat fuck. I'm like... Dr. House? Thank you, Dr. House. What if you found out in the house that his name was Dr. Waffle House? That would be the coolest thing I'd say. My name is Waffle P. House. PhD. Yeah. Glass windows were hidden behind a black curtain. Hung up so I couldn't see inside. That had not been there earlier. I snuck around behind the counter and pressed my ear against the murky walls. There was a sudden silence. Then, shuffling of feet on the tiled floor. I don't know what urged me to do it.
1:00:12It could have been the adrenaline or the hopelessness that had overwhelmingly taken over my body that night. On the counter, there were rows of ketchup bottles and silverware. I grabbed a fork out from under a napkin and clutched it in my sweaty palms. I knew there was somebody or something behind that window. I wasn't alone in there. I jammed the fork onto the glass. Didn't do anything at first. Yet after about 30 seconds, I had made some progress. The glass was starting to crack. I kept banging and banging it until it shattered in front of me. The millions of pieces seemed to fall in slow motion.
1:00:46Thank you so much. Oh, no. I had to cold brew too, so my heart's going to explode. Dude, finale for the show, you die in a wobble house. What a pathetic and like probable end to my life. I did the exact same thing you did with your uncle. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, but you have to have the pancake in your mouth doing this. But I'm an adult and can do something, but don't. Yeah, if anything, you sit there and you put the Waffle House napkin in your shirt like this. Yeah, like a bib. Yay, yay, yay, yay. It just cuts like a soprano so there's no more big gas in it. Yeah, exactly. That's how it ends. One of us gets murdered at a Waffle House and it just cuts to black.
1:01:26Yeah. whoever doesn't post that's the one who died never address it oh never no no no just post the episode as is what is that written by David Chase woke up this boat I didn't step back though for as I pulled away the sheet nothing on earth could prepare me for what I was about to stumble onto a steam of smoke poured out through the broken glass and even through it, I could see that O'Malley's kitchen was a typical diner kitchen. There were a few stoves and ovens, a refrigerator in the back held weeks worth of food. That was not what caught my attention. The overwhelming stench of burning flesh filled my nostrils.
1:02:13They're eating him. They're eating her brother. That's so sick. That's so cool. They're cannibals. Oh, that's sick. Thank God we didn't call it Waffle House. Dude, if you told me that the Waffle House sausage was an obese man's calf, I'd be like, well, duh. Don't say that about her. Here we got the Kangol, I mean bacon.
1:02:40You know what? It's delicious. Kill more of them. But you get it with the compression socks. You have to cut off the compression sock. The pattern, the grill stripes are the sock. I don't care. I don't care I coughed and gagged, struggling hard to get a breath out My eyes started to tear up I flailed my arms in an attempt to clear a path I found myself unsuccessful The grotesque smell was prying into my soul I wanted to vomit Who's there? I recognized the voice It was the voice of the man who had taken Calvin and I to our rooms a couple hours before I didn't make a sound I still couldn't see, but eventually the smoke cleared through the broken window My watery eyes soon adjusted to the fluorescent lighting my mouth fell open in horror Ted and Millie O'Malley stood in the middle of the kitchen there was a silver pot about the size of a record player resting on a table in the center it was the first time that I got a good look around me blood was splattered on every inch of the wall surrounding us it dripped down in streams and formed small puddles on the floor there was a cleaver clutched in Ted's meaty fist gleaming menacingly in the light Millie stood beside him, a wooden spoon at her side It was wet and covered in what looked like oversized worms Intestines I didn't speak My attention turned to the pot Still boiling and bubbling I saw my brother's pajamas strewn into a pile in the corner I could see clumps of his mousy brown hair sticking to the sides of the pot My feet stayed frozen in place as the stench of this burning flesh filled my head and every inch of my body my eyes burned my mouth was dry i couldn't even utter a scream it was then that the o'malley's realized they had been found out grab her millie snarled in a tackling voice beyond description ted lunged for me that was too quick fat ass fell on his front face first into a puddle of calvin's blood millie grabbed the cleaver and threw it at the door just as i pried it open and ran like hell I ran outside the diner and flung open the door to the truck Jamie the key inside I could make out Millie's body racing towards me in the night But I started the car up faster Sputtered for a moment and then shot out like a rocket I had no experience with driving But that was not my top priority I needed to find help Tears were streaming down my face Blocking my vision It was then that the agonizing screams fell I was having a mental breakdown As I whisked unsteadily through the New Jersey trees I let out howls of despair Occasionally I'd spit up whatever food I had left in my stomach The smell of that flesh wouldn't leave me I'm sure I nearly drove off the road at least three times But I didn't care They had killed Calvin They had killed my brother and chopped him up and cooked him I pounded my head on the wheel The horn blasting into the night I could feel the blood trickling down the side of my face Seeping into my hair My vision was starting to show spots I don't know how long I had driven until I finally found a car on the side of the road.
1:05:45There's a man kneeling down to examine one of his tires. I jerked to his stop and flew out of the truck, slamming the door behind me. Vomit clucked to the sides of my mouth, dried blood on my face, tears still gushing like a waterfall. He was an older man with a wrinkled face and skunk streaks in his dark hair. It's Pauly from The Sopranos. Give me a second. Who are you? I frightened him, for he stood back in fear. I knew I looked like a mess, a drug addict, whatever. I sounded like one, too. You need help me. They killed their brothers. They killed them. They killed them. They chopped them up.
1:06:18They killed them. I remember falling to my knees and howling in pain. The man tried to pry me back up, but I thrashed around in his arms. He groaned loudly as I kicked him right in the gut by accident. I could instantly hear his panicked voice trying to get an answer out of me. Who? yelled through a thick jersey accent who killed your brother i shook my head rapidly gasping for air the wind pounded at my ears as i tried to speak last thing i could make out were his eyes gleaming in the darkness as i wheezed out the name through the pain i fell hard to the asphalt they tell me that i was practically frothing at the mouth when they found me i'd blacked out for a moment and the cops assumed i had died but i woke up and screamed for hours i was screaming for Calvin, screaming for somebody to help him, screaming for someone to believe me.
1:07:07Yet to this day, no one does. O'Malley's family restaurant had been torn down in the late 50s. Once word got out that the seemingly friendly owners trapped their victims in their motel and ate them, it was barricaded and destroyed. Theodore and Melissa O'Malley were given the death penalty in 1956. Oh, this is so fun. 1956, 20 years before my brother and I pulled up that summer night. I later learned that they had killed over 20 travelers who crossed their paths, including a gang of motorcycle riders, a group of teenage greasers, and a woman with her young daughter. When the man who found me finally brought me over to the police, I was in hysterics.
1:07:48I was screaming at them that those bastards had killed my brother. I don't know how they couldn't have seen it in my eyes. They saw something. I'm pretty sure they thought I was on drugs. I was a mess, but I had good reason to be. I was handcuffed and thrown into the back of a patrol car. They drove me back to the exit where Calvin and I had turned earlier that night, where the restaurant had stood mere hours earlier, was just an empty lot. The sign wasn't there. The building had disappeared. There was no motel, no sign that anybody had been there for years. It was just an empty patch of dirt, no sign of life anywhere, no sign of Calvin.
1:08:25I tried to explain. I cried for what felt like years. I had slept in that bed up in that motel. I sat in that red vinyl booth with my brother and I had talked to the O'Malley's as they served us. I had seen the people at the tables. I had smelled the food and I had been in there. Didn't no one believe me. The police urged for months on end, but they never did find my brother's body. his final resting place had vanished into thin air i never found any evidence of anything i still had calvin's inhaler in the pocket of my sweatshirt i can't tell you the number of times i shoved it in the cops faces telling them that it was the key to finding out where he was but i was a lost cause they even had the audacity to accuse me of murdering him my case was eventually out ruled due to a lack of evidence but my years of pain never stopped the judge was convinced that I was mental and needed to be locked away, so they threw me in here, which is where I've been since the early autumn of 76.
1:09:24I'm a prisoner. The only thing keeping me sane is the hope for some kind of justice. I'm a grown woman now. Writing this story down is a cry for help. I'm hoping that somebody out there will believe me, someone who knows what I'm talking about. I swear to God that I'm not insane. I felt it. I lived it. I survived it. It's not all in my head, yet that has been what all of these doctors and psychiatrists have been trying to convince me for years. They said I've imagined it all. All this medication pumping into my body has turned my brain to mush, but I know that I didn't. It was too real to have possibly been a dream.
1:10:03I can still smell the flesh, still see the blood on the walls, the menacing faces of the O'Malley staring down. The only thing I still have to remember that night by is Calvin's inhaler. I hold on to it every day, never letting it go. It's the only thing I have to remind myself that my brother was real. It's the only piece of evidence that I have. It's the only part of him they will never be able to take away from me. As younger siblings tend to do, I absolutely worship my older brother Calvin. He will always be my big brother. I will always be his little sister. I don't know where he is, which is probably what haunts me the most.
1:10:40Any evidence that could have brought his killers to justice just vanished into thin air. I pray to the Lord every day that wherever he is, he's happy. Because he was my savior, he rescued me and cared for me and never let anybody do anything to me. Not a day goes by where I don't think about what he would be doing. I'm sure that Calvin would have been successful. He would have found a great wife, had a large family. He would have been the best father anyone could ever ask for. Growing up was hard. I'd never been easy to look after. I had trust issues, social problems and the only one who knew how to handle me was Calvin Growing up without him in the prison was the worst thing anyone could possibly imagine If I had been there for him more maybe he would still be alive today I wish that I could have been different I wish that I could have acted better and tried to look past everything that I had been through I wish I had been a better sister You won't find anything about the O'Malley's or Calvin Duncan anywhere on the internet This is as if it was a tragedy meant just for us It's as if the whole world wants to forget Leaving it unexplained Yet there's a road down in the midst of New Jersey If you turn at just the right spot You might see the ghostly hue of a diner Filled with life and joy inside Don't be fooled For it isn't real Keep driving and don't look back But if you do happen to see a boy in the window With mousy brown hair Kind eyes and a loving smile You should wave at him You should yell out into the night that Laura loves him and she misses him very much.
1:12:14And you should tell him she is sorry that she couldn't have done more. This post was uploaded by a patient from the Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital in New Jersey. Man, that's so fun. That's so fun. I wrote in a couple things while I was reading this. One, the first thing, the first thought, which is just a continuation of what I was asking before. does this work better or is it more interesting as a grounded because this is basically a 70's grindhouse film is what it is you get almost like a Texas Chainsaw Master vibe hitchhikers find somebody the payoff and the fun thing I like this twist they died 20 years earlier but I just wonder if you could still have the grounded thing and then you just get that after the fact they found whatever they never recovered his body what do you think I could see that what I do have a soft spot in my heart for like the local legend stuff especially that last paragraph where it's like if you're ever driving in rural New Jersey and you see a diner wait for the boy inside I love stuff like that so to me that almost justifies like the supernatural inclusion but I will say for the sake of the story like a narrative and not just me you know liking it it probably would have been better as just a cannibal restaurant.
1:13:35I think this story was a lot of fun. You get in, you get out. I do think it's one of those stories though it would have benefited from. To me, this almost feels like the rough draft or the first copy of something of this is kind of an idea I have. What do you think? And you'd be like, holy shit, this is sweet. And you want to see something expanded on it? Because the two characters of Calvin and Laurel are really fun, but to me it was like the whole arc of the story is pretty much like needing paternal guidance and then finding independence in the family you have. Basically being angry that you don't have a family but then you find out that having a brother is all the family you need or something.
1:14:16I think something like that would have been cool and having that come full circle. It's just kind of like, well, now it sucks even more now. Yeah, but I think that even the O'Malley's not having kids and being like, we want kids, or there's something that's like the need of a paternal threat kind of casting that on you to where it's also like giving you a physical representation of like, you know, just because you have a parent doesn't mean that it's going to fix your problems. You know, if anything, it could make it worse. Yeah, well, the story kind of touched on that a little bit when it's like the Calvin was too trusting.
1:14:50He wanted to have that too bad. Oh, it did that definitely. So it did that, but I do agree with you that it could have leaned into it a bit more, done more stuff with it. there's a couple thoughts I had too one thing I thought was an important thematic piece or like a narrative device was Calvin's inhaler I kind of wish that there was more at the beginning of him being like or like using that and then whenever he was digging through it was the best mouth inhaler sound effective whatever the whatever he's digging through his briefcase whatever I thought that could have been a cool moment where she's like Calvin whatever and that was one of the O'Malley's digging through his stuff or something but then that way too could she have been like walking through and then you hear the inhaler.
1:15:31Just like something where it's obviously something important. It also shows Calvin's weakness. I kind of wanted more of that. He's supposed to be the older brother and he has a very clear Achilles heel. So when that gets when that gets not abused I guess abused. Exploited. When that Achilles heel gets exploited, how does Laurel step up and overcome the challenge? Yeah, I think it's like does the inhaler is used narratively because that's what gets him out of the room but you could have had anything. I agree. I just mean at the very beginning even when he's driving just hitting it or something.
1:16:06That's my point. It gets used as something to take him out of the room but anything could have gotten him out of the room so it wasn't really utilized so I do agree. I like the idea of an inhaler. I like the idea that your older brother's like I love this guy. He takes care of me. He's literally my protector and then he's showing you by the way I have asthma. I think too like which I kind of touched on but her like she loved her brother but she her moment of bitterness with him like she let him go out into the hallway alone it's like even if she was out there with him i don't think that would have saved him i think they both would have died kind of thing so it was a damned if you do damage if you don't think which kind of felt you're like half i wish there was more choice yeah so maybe there's like maybe she does do something that more implies he gets killed not like vicious but maybe like say the inhaler thing and he steps outside and then she finds it in the room and she was like he'll come back for in a second rather than taking it to him and then he gets kidnapped because he has to walk to the car back at the diner or something like that make it something where she could have done something to stop it but didn't like a very Spider-Man letting the guy go sort of thing it's not like he meant to kill someone but cause and effect a side road and then Laurel becomes Spider-Man a side road cannibal diner where they are using people as product is fun.
1:17:27I do also like this ritualistic thing. That's Texas Saints on Massacre too, right? They put them in the chili? I think so. I always just think of what is not fried green tomatoes. Is it fried green tomatoes when they serve the guy? Yes, yeah. Or whatever. But I don't know. I mean, like I said, right now, just with where we've been reading stuff, the grounded nature I think is really fun. I do think that there's something cool about making it like a ghost story thing. It's just how do you connect that to the paternal thing? did their parents die? Is there something that there's like... Well, the mom died.
1:17:57Well, yeah, that's just true. But if there was a ghost story thing, is there a way of almost like a talk to me thing, there's a great theme of being unable to let go. Through this interaction, are they able to sever that tie and finally learn to let go? I think for me, I'm a little I wouldn't say biased. I just got a soft spot in my heart for the old ghosts, local legends and stuff. Oh, I do too. The idea of, like, if you see the diner and there's a few people inside, maybe it's... It's just such a fun, like, almost, like, poetic... Yeah. It's like a sailor's tale. The diner at the end of the earth, you know, forever sitting right there, you know, waiting for the bill.
1:18:32I think it's fun. I just think, like... But I do understand as a narrative, it probably would have been stronger as just... I think, ultimately, though, I just wanted more. I think, like, the characters were fun. I think, like, also having more of Ted and Millie would have been cool. because it really was just kind of a thing of like they come back in and they're like, by the way, we're eating them. It would be fun to like, is other people in there in on it? What are the other people? Are they also stuck? And they're like, yeah, I don't know. They said that I shouldn't drive. And it's like you can just like mess with the motel.
1:19:01It's like the Blood Ridge Motel kind of does that in a fun way with the vampires or whatever. That's the one I was trying to think of that does a similar small town thing with a checkbook and stuff. That was the Blood Ridge. Well, it can't make me fucking think of Cuckoo. Cuckoo. Cuckoo. it's like that which cuckoo i think it suffers in the same way of like yeah it's to me cuckoo suffers in the same vein of like you introduce a lot of cool stuff but you just never really follow through on it in an effective way and it's like really cool but i love i just kept picturing that as the motel the same way with like the bloodridge motel i kind of pictured that same setting just because it's such a beautiful iconic area yeah but the uh i don't know i just kept picture like that diner with that the deep trees and stuff you're totally isolated yeah and it really is and like just i think that the theme of the story too having it be set in the 70s it had to have been some kind of callback to like a texas chainsaw massacre like a grindhouse-y kind of well it's also like you know it's easier it's obviously easier to write short horror stories set in the past because they don't have cell phones they don't have gps's they don't have there's just some it's just a more fun time for people just being helpless you know but i also think less stranger danger there's something about that 70s where it's totally believable that you'd be like oh yeah just stay here oh okay and then fucking jeffrey dahmer goes and ties you up like a fucking roasted pig and takes pictures of you for the next 13 years while you're in a barrel yeah or whatever so i don't know there's a lot of script yeah they're just like what he's he's a gay peruvian kid that guy back to him that one dude yeah unbelievable here you go buddy On you go But no I don't know I really enjoyed it I think like when we like I said when we first started Whatever I will say And I'm gonna and there's gonna Be eyes that roll people like oh god And cut this if you have to I did get a little incest-y vibes From time to time I could tell I knew you were And I know that I know it's just a sweet thing but still When she said I was the luckiest girl in the world you shot me a look And I'm like no Who has ever said that about their brother?
1:21:09Luckiest girl in the world is such a specific line to crushes. That's what I mean. That's just what I'm saying. It's a weird choice, but I knew it wasn't being incestuous. Of course not. But I'm just saying the whole thing. Poor choice of words. Luckiest girl in the world, and all of a sudden, Laurel comes over. Guess what? There she looks like a fucking little baby deer hopping up on his lap. And I sat up on his lap, whatever, and I was just like, come on now. What the hell are we doing? Do you have any siblings? Yeah, I've got two younger sisters. Oh, you do? Do they say they're the luckiest girl in the world?
1:21:35No, that's why it's a weird choice of words. I'm trying to picture even my sister being like, I'm the luckiest girl in the world. You're older than your sister, right? No. Okay, so she wouldn't be setting your lap anyway. But I think, like, no one else in high school or something, my youngest sister would have been, like, in grade school. And don't get me wrong. I mean, it's not lost on me. I understand it's all she's got. I mean, it's basically her dad. Yeah. Whatever. I get it. I 100 % get it. but I'm just saying right at the top, it was just like, once again, frying pan, like right at the top.
1:22:10But I will say as soon as it got into the Millie, all that kind of weird stuff. And then like, I really thought that I wish we could have just lingered long into the thing of like, Hey, is it what's going on? And then he's frantic. And it did have a lot of like really great paragraph breaks with being like, and that was the last time I ever talked to him, which it's like, you know, something bad's going to happen, but you don't know when or how, you know? So it's just playing with those things. This would be, and it sucks that we don't even know who the author is. We should try to dig and see if we can find something.
1:22:37But this would be something cool to see, like, did they ever update it or add more to it? Because this would be a fucking sick story. Do you think they purposely posted it anonymously? Because it is written from the perspective of, like, I'm the girl who did it from the site. Well, to me, it read like a no-sleep story. Yeah. Because even the whole thing of, like, I'm writing this now. Usually a lot of no-sleep things will always end with, I'm writing this now because blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. in like having it yeah exactly or else the mods will whip you to death but the uh I think so but who knows it's one of those things where I do wonder how many people if this is their first story if they write it anonymously and then it's just like well if people fucking hate me for it then it's not gonna I don't want this to be the thing I'm known for or whatever
1:23:24I've thoroughly enjoyed it like it did not seem like a it didn't seem like a novice story like I said the only thing that I kept it's just, and I do this a lot, it's just whenever something's short and it's like really nice and it has like a lot of fat on it and it's sweet, you're like, fuck man, I just wish there was just way more to this story. You were dead on with the Whitefall Whitefall call. Oh yeah. They slipped into this almost like, it's when it's back in time but it's essentially like this little perfect thing. And see, even the Whitefall thing though you could see that being a story that's this length and you'd be like, oh, I wish there was more but they really like, goes into the fucking hierarchy of like how it starts breaking things up almost turns into a fucking animal farm situation or some shit or Grave of whatever Lord of Flies you Destroyed my memory of White Falls because I was thinking about like man I love at the end how that guy pulls the can't dude from Kansas City pulls out a Candy bar I'm like man.
1:24:18I love that and then I remembered oh wait no Hunter made that up That didn't even happen in the story You just said that you just said that would be cool if that would have happened and later I was thinking about, man, that was such a good part of the story. That's right, because he was such a selfish guy where you're like, of course. You were like, what if he pulled out the camera? I'm like, that's such a good idea. So then I'd gaslit myself and I'm like, man, that's such a good part of the story. It's cool, man. I mean, I don't know. It was a lot of fun. Also, too, I will say, in this, which maybe I don't know how the audio is or whatever, but being in something like with the whole Millie and Ted thing, I wanted to be in the diner setting so much longer with the sizzle of the grill.
1:24:55I was so enveloped. like i had to like put my i mean i need fucking reading glasses dude i was like sitting there like i'd get that close but putting being in the atmosphere even just the smell of like having that stuff around it really is i mean you know and we've done the thing of reading a story in the haunted house and stuff and that was fun too but this was just something that was so specific and it's so active there's like there was like a sense of life around it was really cool but yeah i mean i don't know i i can ramble on about it but even with all the other people in the in the uh diner there's really no you know there's no reason for them to be there like it's like the other customers it should have just been something where it's like oh yeah they're it's just an empty it's a completely empty diner which also makes it more suspicious you know yeah um but it would have been cool with more characters and it's just people trapped basically in like a venus fly trap of like a ethereal paranormal trap where i'm assuming demons of some kind have but like there's spirits that were so evil they're just stuck on earth doing it over and over kind of thing, you know?
1:25:58And there's something too I think, I like whenever also too a supernatural thing has an applicable thing of like why they want to trap people because like I understand that like the real thing of like demons and stuff is like well they just like to trick people. Yeah. But it's nice whenever there's an objective like almost like the thing of like with this I almost thought that for a second I thought it was like going I thought it was a thing where she's like oh wow and she's like touching his face and stuff I thought she was going to do some kind of thing with like trying to steal his youth or like just something like that.
1:26:24You know what I mean? No, I get that. I think it's clearly, like you said, the whole he craves family. They're offering the role of family and they kill him with it. I feel like, which, nothing wrong with the short punch. No, no. But I feel like if the story took more time to kind of build that out, the trust and stuff, so I'm like, yeah, sure, we'll stay at your place. Here's the keys to my truck. I feel like more could have been done with it. But at the same time, I mean, it's just cool. It's a cool, this feels like the start of an urban legend. No, it is. My mind just keeps racing. Like, I think even, like, the whole thing about her, first off, I understand Calvin's a nice guy.
1:27:06If you were a nice guy, you would not make an 87-year-old woman take your stuff to your room or whatever. And to there, I thought what was going to happen is they go outside, and she's like, all right, well, I'll see you. And they don't introduce Ted right away. and then they go outside and their tires are flat. And they're like, oh, fuck. And then Ted's like, oh, I think I've got a spare. And it's like, oh, they've been fucking with these people so they can't leave. Yeah. Well, why don't you guys just stay here? I'll change it. We'll be ready by morning. Yeah. To where even could Laurel get one over a bit?
1:27:33Be like, oh, well, maybe I am like, they are really kind, actually. I feel like, I don't know, when stories do stuff like that, when you go into a horror story, right, you're expecting love. Oh, 100%. So a lot of the times in stories when moves like that are pulled, it's obvious. It's obvious. So I'm just kind of there like get to the, you know, someone gets mad and things go down, whatever. So I almost appreciated the story. Him just being like, don't leave. And Colin's like, OK, like that. That almost works. Like, yeah, just cut through all that. I think I'm expecting something. But I do think like even the we used to live here thing.
1:28:13I was about to say the exact same thing. enveloped in on the story and it's like I feel like I know something but I think that because the author has you in the palm of their hands they can use those tropes against you to where you can divert in a different direction. Here's the thing with we used to live here. There's so many questions being asked that when the snowstorm comes which is nice because it's not like the family walked out of their car and they're like we're out of gas. Can we stay? It's not they're doing a it's a storm right like they didn't cause that so it's like a natural reason for them to stay, but you want to figure out so many questions.
1:28:45It's weird. When you read We Used to Live Here, I'm almost glad the family is sticking around because I want to hear more. I want to see more of this mystery unravel and stuff because it's interesting. It's just a thing of an impending dread. The snowstorm happens and you already know, you can see, what's the guy's name, Tanner? Thomas. You know Thomas is turning around and he's just like, getting pretty bad out there. And you're like, dude, don't let him stay and she's like okay and you're like no like that's the i think that's whenever you can tell you're like no he's trying to fuck with you also that's why i'm like i think that you can you can successfully do those tropes you know it's the wrong thing but it feels motivated by the character like calvin being just like this like like a labrador you're like oh of course he's gonna say oh sure sure yeah whatever you think yeah yeah it's like and again they give him the premise that it is believable for him to be too trusting and it's also like most people are disarmed by an elderly couple.
1:29:43It's like if you had a teenage girl come up and ask for something. There's such not a threat. Exactly. I'm a big guy. Whatever. I could take him. Yeah, blah, blah, blah. Little did he know that he's going in the pot. And once again, though, too, I love a character that's like a big kid. Just that inhaler. It's just a very obvious thing. Like you said, an Achilles heel. I think that's nice. Also, once again, give him your order one more time. Cheese steak, cash brown bowl, as it comes with the onions, two eggs over easy on top, and ketchup. Trevor had it. What do you think? What did you think? It was pretty good.
1:30:17I was really hoping that you were going to be like, I would not recommend. It was a little like the flavors kind of don't go together all that great. Wow. Isaiah, really? It is supposed to all melt together. What did you think of it? I liked it. I will say there is something that Trevor is getting at. You need some of the flavors because there's too many flavors. Yes.
1:30:49I really like mine. What did you pay them? What did you pay them? I was texting them. I said if you say anything good about it, you're fucking fired.
1:31:02I will say though, I ordered the peanut butter waffle after and I ate that all in. I've had it before, but that was... I'm gonna fall into a fucking coma when we leave. That's good. Actually, I'm not. I've had too much caffeine. This cold brew's gonna kill me. I'm really kind of disappointed in crap your pants at some point. I let out a horrific gassy fart. That's rough. Also, on Tuesday,
1:31:34you looked over at me and you said, you just let a fart at it. No, I 100 % did. No, I asked if you crapped your pants. I knew you farted. Oh, okay. But it sounded so wet that I thought you just What if I did? I thought that would have been funny. What would you unironically do if you found out that I shit myself? And I just was like, no. I would think it was I would think it was funny. You wouldn't think that wouldn't change anything? You must think so low of me. you're like really you can't go any lower no no no i mean realistically you know this is a gross conversation have a restaurant about whatever um realistically yeah my poop waffle there talk about this and it's like you know there's times where you're like yeah this one's probably fine you know and you trust it a little too much now if you sat there and like just like unloaded no stop and you sat in it, that would...
1:32:36I think you would be... I think that you would change your mind if it happened in person. If I kept itching because it's getting, like, dried. Or if I did this. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let me clarify. If you did that and didn't immediately fix it, yeah, I would think less of you, yeah. If you didn't, you're like, I gotta go to the bathroom real quick. That would... That's... What if I sat there and I was like, I did. Keep going. You're reading whenever you're looking up at me. in my desk come out some wet wipes whatever i pulled up my pants but the camera can't see it i pulled my pants you can see everything you see my little pig cock there i'm sitting there and i'm like we're in public are you serious what were you recording magic does that not sound that's the most degenerate that's like the stereotype the first time i didn't get caught and they were very surprised to get a chuckle.
1:33:30But then the second time... Why didn't you just get up? But then I think for the meme... See, that's the thing. With YouTube, there's a level of like I'm going to be a degenerate because it's funny. You know? Yeah. And also, it doesn't help in Media Magic. We're usually like destroyed. Oh, yeah. So we're sitting there. But the second time Nick looked over and he was like... He was so disgusted. He was like... He was like... He's like, are you peeing? I did and I was like whatever is it on camera oh yeah I just pee pee'd OH MY GOD Wait that whole bottle? OH MY That entire bottle? Oh yeah He's burning big too I'll tell ya I think I lost a lot of respect from a lot of people that time I mean Yeah Well, that's our episode today.
1:34:29That's our episode today. I do think that next time that we record, we should go to your neck of the woods. We should go to... I think that the Woff House thing should be a recurring thing. Absolutely. No questions. It was a lot busier than I expected it to be. For a Thursday? If it was like a weekend where you're like, oh, sure, people are going to come in after they've been at a bar or whatever. Where I'm near more of like a city area, not too far away. So you might be a little busier than me. At night. I mean, not super busy, but there's always probably one or two people in there every hour, I'd say.
1:35:04I mean, I think that we were pretty... I mean, I didn't like... There was a couple moments with the voice acting where I think it was supposed to be high, but I'm like, I'm not going to sit here and make it... Yeah. So. Alright. Well. Thanks for watching Creepcast. Stay creeped. Also go to Waffle House. It's really good. Stay creeped. Again, not sponsored, but... Open. Also not sponsored. But open is please not. Not sponsored, but Not sponsored, but I am looking to put a ring on it. Hey, look, single for now. And the cheesesteak hash brown bowl is supreme. Don't listen to anyone else in this room.
1:35:36Cheesesteak truth or sound off. I'd say what, I hate to see that militia. Well, Isaiah, I'll find that with you at that bowl. You know that meme where it's the guy, it was like a Republican meme, everyone jokes, it's the dude in the darkness watching Trump, and he has a MAGA hat and a gun, he's like, don't worry, Mr. President. Replace that with a Waffle House hat and keep the gun. Don't worry, Mr. I say it. I'll order the cheese. Don't worry, Mr. Goon, I'll order the cheesesteak. Alright. That's it. Sponsor us, please. Bye. Good.
