0:32Jon McLaughlin:Hi, I'm Dave Barnes. And I'm John McLaughlin. And welcome to Dadville. Dadville is a podcast where we talk about life, love, and the pursuit of awesome dadding. It's funny thoughts and deep talks. So please, enjoy your time here in Dadville and enjoy this episode with... Dave and me. John. Hey everybody, John here. uh listen dave and i had planned on doing our regular annual dave and john gift guide episode but unfortunately our man dave uh is down for the count his vocal cords he's got some ulcers on his vocal cords and he's been on vocal rest for the past couple weeks and he's going to be on vocal rest for probably another month here so he's going to recover fully he's going to be great It's going to be good, but we have to forego our annual gift guide episode, which I know you guys are like, what are we going to do?

1:34Jon McLaughlin:We have no idea what gifts to buy. We don't even do any shopping until we get this episode, and we base our entire Christmas list off of your recommendations. I can only assume that's most of you. But we are not going to leave you high and dry. We are sending out on our newsletter, we are sending out our gift guide. So it will be, all the items will be there with the links and everything, and you can shop away. And as you're shopping, say a little prayer for our man Dave and his vocal cords. And as always, it's a shame that we can't say this to you in our episode, but I speak for everyone in Dadville on behalf of Dave Barnes and Jason Shadrick, our awesome producer.

2:23Jon McLaughlin:Thank you guys so much for listening. We're so, so grateful for everyone who listens to the podcast. We're so grateful to get to do this, to have the guests that we have. It's just, it's such a blessing. So Merry Christmas to you guys. We love you and we'll see you next year. Deadville
