In short
The episode argues the “#1 portfolio mistake” is over-diversifying into too many positions (creating an “own ETF” effect) and chasing trades around earnings instead of building a foundation. It also includes a rapid-fire debate on stocks/crypto (Anthropic vs Apple; Salesforce vs Ethereum) and advice to avoid emotional, catalyst-driven investing.
Guest backgrounds
No named guests appear in the transcript; participants are referred to by first names/nicknames (e.g., “Shawty,” “Cliffhanger,” “Rashad,” “Kev,” “PJ Kev,” “Ernest”), plus a mention of “Austin from EYL University” for a future crypto segment.
Key claims
Hyper-concentration (fewer holdings) helps long-term wealth; relying on earnings calls is an emotional rollercoaster; calls should be tied to catalysts/volatility and time horizons.
Notable examples
A portfolio with 39 positions; “six of the last eight” earnings moves turning negative; “pairing Anthropic and Apple” likened to Tyrese Maxey and Kevin Durant; Salesforce vs Ethereum framed via Benioff/AI partnership vs Vitalik/quietness.

3:31Two different reasons. If I'm looking for upside, I'm taking Anthropic. If I'm looking for pure upside, I'm taking Anthropic because of the role that it's going to play in pretty much every industry, which is why the government has to figure out how they're going to either work with it or figure out a way that it can incorporate it. I think Anthropic is that important. And Dario has become, he's won people over. He's certainly won people over. he's become more of a face. He's speaking more. I saw him with the announcement with Mark Benioff at Salesforce and the partnership that they just announced when Sasspocalypse was the theme.
4:08He kind of literally changed the entire software industry with that announcement. Apple, if I'm looking for certainty and like something that's steady and it's a trusted brand and it's a long-term investment, I would choose that. But if I'm looking for upside specifically, I'm going Anthropik. Shawty, what about you? Apple. Okay. Tell us why. Well, it's lightning round, so I don't want to be too long-winded, but a brand that you can believe in, and defense is the best offense. So, yeah, definitely Anthropic has more upside potential, but it also has more downside risk. Who you got? What are we looking for, safety or return?
4:57return I think that's what most people are looking for it gotta be a combination of the two I would say to me pairing Anthropic and Apple together in a portfolio is like in a dream world if I can like put Tyrese Maxey and Kevin Durant together like one's more seasoned, one's more up and coming superstar, so for clip purposes, I'm going to say both, but if I'm looking for pure return I'm going to come back to you guys cliffhanger tune in to the next stock club call if I tell you if I like Anthropic or Apple more back to you guys yeah I mean it's just a crazy time right you think about Apple getting to a trillion dollars and we remember that and now you have a company five years later that's going to probably IPO at two trillion pretty amazing last one Salesforce versus ethereum which one would you lean on if you had your last 30 000 to put into the market you had to pick one i'll go first i am elated that's like that's not even a fair comparison i wanted some diversity because you know we always do apple microsoft the ones i've heard the comments you only talk about apple microsoft and retard okay well nevertheless and then but if you down a hundred bucks on the stock and you're like hey what do i do um i do like benioff's adjustments i like him as a ceo i do not love the the company to invest in long term i do think the sas apocalypse narrative was overrated because ai is software in bitcoin and ethereum is software so i i find how they parse the differences very interesting um if i had to pick one though that i would probably lean on well troll let me come to you which one would you pick it's nasty man i i i was big on ethereum i still have like you know some some money in ethereum um and i i understand that blockchain the functionality of it i understand everything's being built on the ethereum platform where vitalik at i haven't i haven't ain't my ass with salesforce where the fuck is vitalik at what's the time frame how about that what's the time frame five years five to seven years i'm seeing my at least when the fire is going on with micro strategy i'll give them credit sailor doesn't back down i don't know where in russia vitalik is and for that reason i'm picking salesforce i'm leaning towards that too which is ironic i was just gonna say i'm leaning towards that because we know benioff and i think the only thing that troubles me with with salesforce is the debt structure around um how they're going to incorporate ai uh into the crms um but the partnership with anthopic makes a lot of sense uh and so he's he's been proven to keep that thing afloat so yeah I'll go with Salesforce for this I'm a Bitcoin maxi and I only believe in Bitcoin but no Litecoin
8:18shout out to those of you who were trading and investing back in the day when Litecoin was supposed to be the one that was you know yeah when he sold his shares was it Charlie Lee that's what you know It was over with. But Ethereum has more upside potential. 10 or 2 with Ethereum. Either 10 or 2. It's either going to get to$10 ,000 or it's going to stay at 2.
8:47What do you know? I don't know. But it has more upside potential. But it could also be the next... Stay flat. Yeah. And it's moved a little bit as of recent, but the premise and promise is not delivered. They expect the return. And I like Vitalik as a entrepreneur, but he has been very quiet. The thing I can't say about Benioff. Quick one before you jump back in. You're listening for ways to help teams move faster, make sharper decisions and turn scattered context into work they can use. 13:31In a world where OpenClaw and OpenAI and Microsoft was eating away at his business, he finds, he's a guy who's just going to get a bucket to even do the partnership and not run away from AI. Shows how adaptive he is and it doesn't decay their business. Yeah. you got like on executive and ceo level you have to give him credit for going into that storm and figuring a way to salvage his company when it could have been over with it could have looked really ugly um which is why i had this conversation early last week about when they reported the stock move four percent and then he did the announcement as nvidia was reporting which is like damn damn mark that's how you feel but the fact that he had the guy who and the guy whose company would ultimately disrupt and damage their company say hey i'm here to work with you yep hella strategic and you watch that announcement salesforce jumping up 12 because of it so now it's how do we incorporate ai to help grow our business rather than saying ai is going to completely disrupt and dismantle our business.
14:48Well played by him. But I will say this, we will be talking about Ethereum and XRP and Solana on Thursday at nine o 'clock when we have Austin from EYL University. He's specifically going to be talking about digital assets and cryptocurrency. and he's very bullish on all of those. So if you're interested, you can hear from him his thesis on altcoins. But that's Thursday at 9 o 'clock. But me... Good media transition. It's Bitcoin. Bitcoin to bust. It's Bitcoin to nothing. Okay, was that the last one? Yes. What's the biggest investment mistake right now? Warren Buffett just turned 95 or 96. And I was going back through some of his early investor lessons.
15:46And I think the biggest mistake that I'm seeing, and it's been done intentionally, A, not waiting for the right price. And I'm going to keep saying that too many of you are investing in too many companies. I love the review my portfolio segment that we did a couple of weeks ago. and I did it on Stock Club Call, the last Stock Club Call. The thing that I'm seeing with the millionaires though, and shout out to all the Red Panda millionaires, I love y 'all. When I look at their portfolios, their portfolios normally look like this, really short. It's concentrated in a few companies. The ones that have 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 assets in their portfolio, they have good positions, but very few of them.
16:33so the mistake that I see everyone is making is that they're you're kind of making your own ETF own index like today somebody had 39 positions I'm like how do you unless you just have a hundred grand that you can throw into the market how do you even get enough shares of those companies for to even make an impact long term so hyper concentration is the way to go if you want to build wealth and having too many companies almost leads to too much fear and stops you from getting rich because you're too spread out pause um in your portfolio yeah i'm gonna shout shout to the chat and my group chat is in here they watch and i'm gonna say this uh solely relying on making calls surrounding earnings.
17:21Dang, stop that.
17:27You know what? It's an emotional rollercoaster. And so if you're doing it, number one question you should ask is, have I built my foundation first? We spoke about it last week. Have I built my foundation? Have I built shares? Have I brought indexes, ETFs? Have I bought equities? and my buying options on the equities that I actually have, rather than saying like, hey, NVIDIA's about to report. What you think we should do? I'm about to get in a position. Because as we've seen, right, six out of the last eight up until last week, it went negative after. So some people are doing puts, some people are doing calls.
18:03The thing is like if you buy a call, and I always say this, buy time, write buy time. But what are we buying in time? We're buying in catalyst events. We're buying in volatility. and we're also buying in these earnings, right? So if we have a call that's out for two years, that means we have at least eight earnings reports inside of those calls to watch the ebbs and flows of how they're going to report, what their future guidance is going to look like. So just be mindful if you're doing that. They're playing a weeklies. Rashad, to you, what's your answer? The biggest mistake is not watching Market Monday.
18:365 ,600 people on the check-in. Mighty, mighty, mighty Market Monday's army. I appreciate y 'all go ahead Floppy I got you still alive still alive yo PJ Kev you gotta stop yo PJ Kev yo Kev you gotta stop Josh I love you man stop it Kev but that is the biggest mistake though in all seriousness Kev going for the home run every time go ahead Rashad all jokes aside the biggest mistake is not I watch the market Mondays because it's a vitally important part of your education and it's free and it's entertaining as well. So, man, it's such a great way to start the week. You can map out your strategy, your vision board, your watch list.
19:33It's highly recommended for sure. And it's, you're able to listen to it on the podcast outlets if you can't visually see it. I don't know. If you don't watch Market Mondays, I have to question your decision-making ability. Not everybody wants to get rich, bro. That's one thing I'm learning.
