Owen, say what's up to Fire Nation and share something that you believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with. Fire Nation, it's so good to be with you today. And here's the thing, to be successful, you've got to have a big vision and you've got to be able to communicate that vision. You've got to be able to lead people. And oftentimes we think it's about discipline or skillsets or just showing up, but you've got to show up the right way with a vision as a leader and cause people to want to move forward.

55And that's something that we strive for in everything that we do. So Fire Nation, we're talking about not an inexact, an exact YouTube marketing strategy to explode your growth, Fire Nation. But let's be honest, Owen, starting is the hardest part. I mean, knowing what videos to make, looking at that red dot, just staring at you in a room all by yourself. You're sweating. Your lighting's terrible. Yeah. What is the next step, especially when it seems like everything has been done already? Well, I'll tell you, we've got to look at what's happening in the marketplace right now today. And what's happening in today's marketplace is shorts and reels.

36And I'm super excited today because today is actually my first interview since we've launched our brand new shorts and reels formula. So the Fire Nation gets to be the first audience to hear about that formula. And we'll dive into that. But the first thing that you've got to do is you've got to get in front of that camera and you have got to give me 24 answers to the top questions in your industry right into that camera. And here's the best part. Your answers need to be 30 seconds or less. No joke. These are going to become shorts. Now, let me break that number down to you. 24 videos under a minute.

18It's two videos a week for 12 weeks. that's a publication schedule. It's easy. Anybody can do it. And never before have we been in a marketplace where short 30 second videos can generate thousands and thousands of followers, leads, response. This is sort of the aha moment happening in video right now. And that's what every entrepreneur needs to take advantage of. It's not like it used to be, right? It's easier than ever before. And AI, some of these AI tools out there make it even easier. So now is the time. I'll tell you, I get drawn in by these shorts, by these reels. I really do. I used to pride myself in not going down the rabbit hole of social media, but it's just, it's impossible.

06I mean, now, I mean, I've had a golden doodle for four years. So I've been, you know, being served these amazing golden doodle reels and shorts. And I know they're short timeframes. So I'm like, I can just watch one, but of course one becomes 30. And then, you know, I've had my first child three months ago. So now I'm like getting sort of these newborn videos of like the best ways to rock them to sleep. And of course I'm like, I need to know that while my baby's unattended, just screaming next to me. And I'm just watching reel after reel after reel, ignoring him completely. So it sounds like fatherhood.

35Yeah, it sounds. Yeah, exactly. It's just what it is. And I gotta, I gotta be honest with you. Like I tried to resist them and now I'm just like, it's just, it's just what it is. And now even when I click home on my YouTube page, like it serves me these shorts right there. And again, the first couple of seconds of a lot of them are so appealing that I have to watch them because something crazy is about to happen. So I want to get into that in a little bit. But before that, it's just super annoying. When we spend a ton of time on these professional videos and they don't get any views. The lighting's great.

07Their content is awesome. I have a shirt and a tie on. But then this kid down the street just goes viral. What the heck is going on? Well, I'll tell you, that's all about understanding the YouTube landscape. And here's what I want everybody in the audience to hear this, is YouTube is more like Netflix than it is like social media. And when entrepreneurs treat it like social media, I got to make a post every day and got to get engagement. It's like all this pressure and it doesn't work because YouTube is more like Netflix than it is like social media. What does that mean? It means we want viewers to binge watch your content.

49We want them to watch one video and then another video and then another video. And that's a top performing YouTube channel. Now, now let's hold that in your mind for a second. And let's think about what we do as entrepreneurs, because I'm, I'm the host of VidSummit. I think you know that it's the largest YouTuber conference in the country. I'm the MC of that conference. And I work with all these big YouTubers. I've even got to coach some of these big, very successful YouTubers on monetization and funnels and how to turn this into money. And here's the thing. Sometimes we hear advice from these guys, these YouTubers, and it's not right for us as entrepreneurs.

28So what we as entrepreneurs need to do is we need to see what works on the platform and then emulate a strategy that works with our schedule. You don't have to put up a video every day. You don't have to put up a video every week even. Mark Rober, one of the biggest YouTubers in the world, does one video a month. But you know what? He doesn't wing that video. So what we teach is a siloed strategy. I'd love to talk about the easiest way to get started. It's like a two-step silo is what we call it. create two videos that are part of a theme that one video leads to the next video. Now, here's a case in point.

12I've done this over and over again on my channel and on the channels that we're privileged enough to manage and run and coach. Here's an example of that. We just did a video on chat GPT commands, like your best chat GPT commands, right? And then we, we followed that with chat GPT for YouTube tools. Okay. So we've got these two, they're both on the theme of chat GPT content, right? AI video stuff, highly trending. You might call it searchable, but I want to be careful with search engine words. We can get into some, some trouble there, right? You want to really focus on what's happening in your industry right now.

56And one video leads to either, hey, did you like this video? Watch the next one on Summary Tools. The second video, both videos did well, but the second video hit 80 ,000 views in 90 days. This is how you create binge watching on YouTube for a topic that's trending in your industry right now. One video leads to the other, doubling your chances for success. Plus, you could film both those videos in one session, right? So this is the strategy that can get your channel from zero to 10 ,000 subscribers in a year while bringing you in leads. So it's not a, I got to shoot video every day, or it has to be the highest quality video.

47Let me tell you something. If you've got a if you can log into a Zoom. You can be filming video. In fact, we have like therapists and some doctor types who are not techie in our program. Right. And and they're using Zoom to actually record the video. So it's it's beyond just a simple setup. Now, my doctor using Zoom. I mean, give me a break. This guy's practice through YouTube. Not every, he doesn't even have a plant in his background. You know, it's like super just kind of dry. But look, when I'm interested as a patient, as a client, as a customer in interest rates in Dallas, Texas, or, or I'm interested in, um, um, insurance, like building wealth for my family or yes, staying healthy with natural medicine.

39I'm not interested in big, fancy Mr. Beast. Wah, zoom, zoinks. you know, it's silly. We want to do professional videos, deliver a message once a month, twice a month, pepper in some reels. You've got a successful strategy and less time than it ever took before. Fire Nation, I hope you're getting fired up with this process and these value bombs that Owen's dropping here. And if you think we're done, well, check yourself because we just got started, which we will be continuing when we get back from thanking our sponsors. Personalized support has quickly become an expectation from customers everywhere.

19They want help and they want it now, but many businesses aren't equipped with the right tools to help them deliver. And that means unhappy customers and frustrated service reps. So why not get a customer service solution that can help your reps excel and give your customers the best experience possible? The new AI-powered service hub from HubSpot is a better way to do service and success. Service Hub helps you fly through the service queues and lighten the load on your reps with AI-powered self-service chat and knowledge-based articles. It also helps you grow your customer base with tools that helps reps anticipate customer needs before they ever become issues.

52With HubSpot Service Hub, reps are resolving tickets 13 times faster, helping them close 42 % more tickets per day. And that means increasing retention by more than 80%, scale support, and drive retention and revenue all in one place with HubSpot's all-new Service Hub visits. HubSpot.com slash service to learn how this all new solution can help you deliver for your customers. Do you have a message inside that you know is meant to be shared with the world? Giving a TEDx talk is one of the most powerful ways to share your message with the world and Thought Leader can help you get there. Thought Leader is a speaker coaching company that has helped over 550 and counting coaches, speakers, entrepreneurs, authors, and experts land TEDx talks.

33Thought Leader is not affiliated with TED or TEDx, but they're able to get these results because their founder, Taylor Conroy, is a four-time TEDx speaker himself and past EO Fire guest. You might be thinking a TEDx talk sounds great, but where do you start? Taylor has put together a free training that's going to teach you how to land a TEDx talk in as little as 90 days. Join Taylor to learn exactly what TEDx organizers are looking for in their speakers, how to write a talk that goes viral once it goes online, and more. Visit thought-leader.com slash fire. Join Taylor for this free training and get your message out of your head, out of your heart, and out into the world where it belongs.

12That's thought-leader.com slash fire. Owen, Fire Nation is formulaic. We love step-by-step processes. We love formulas. You've been talking about shorts and reels. You've been talking about the formula, but I really want to dive in. I really want to get specific for Fire Nation who has their pens and their pencils out right now, ready to really study the best formula for these processes we're talking about. Let's talk about the YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels formula. Now, this is a formula that we are using to get millions of views. And it actually goes beyond views because we can track this on Instagram, for example.

53We can track this to profile visits and link in bio clicks. So I can actually see how much web traffic I'm driving and how many leads are coming from this formula. It's working across platforms. So if you, this is a firm belief we have, if you're gonna put this on YouTube shorts and we believe YouTube is your Netflix, right? So everything goes on YouTube first and then it trickles out into social media as content through reels and shorts. If it goes on Facebook, it goes on YouTube, it goes on Instagram and it might even go on TikTok if you've got a TikTok. talk. So we've made this whole thing available at own video.com slash shorts.

35And you can get this along with a few other blueprint tips to help you help you move through it. Okay. But here's, it's a three part formula. Okay. Part one is your opening statement. This is key. You should write it down. You've got to spend your time on this opening statement. It could be a question. How do I make seven figures with YouTube? I get that. That's my opening statement. It's got to be intriguing and it should be on text on the screen via caption or screen text. Okay, so that's one. What's your opening headline? Two is I need three mic dropping supporting points. three mic dropping supporting points.

29Now here's, here's the trick. When you get to the supporting points, you can have those written down and you can read them. The opening headline, I want you to say into the camera, the rest, I want you to feel like you can read it if you need to. And then the third point of it is this, tell the audience what you do with a CTA. I'm talking seven seconds or less, right? Hear more like this, follow my page today. If you want, if you like this content, subscribe to the channel. Super quick, one sentence call to action. And when you put this all together, you've got a piece that will absolutely perform every time you try it.

26Now, there's a couple other things you need to consider with this formula. Number one is your cover image. Okay. The first image that people see, right? That first headline, you got to be looking at the camera and you got to be still. You ever seen those moments on camera where someone's kind of like got their eyes closed? You know, make sure that you're looking at the camera. You've got a good look on you. You're smiling. You're friendly. You deliver that opening headline. Okay. Mic dropping points. This is where you add B-roll from your phone. When you're doing those mic dropping points that you're reading into the camera, You add B-roll from your phone.

13You can do this in Instagram. You can do this in YouTube. You can do this with CapCut. Bring it back for your call to action. You make two of those a week. You will see five-figure growth on those videos. Brand new channel. We do not believe that you need, y 'all gotta upload 100 videos. This is YouTuber mindset. Your first video could get 10 ,000 views If you follow that structure and you hit on a topic that people care about, if you're selling your products, why should you buy my X, Y, Z? Look, man, that's not why I'm on reels. Solve a problem for me. Make an interesting statement. Here's why Trump, blah, blah, blah, blah.

57Ooh, I know a bunch of people just were like, what? But I'm trying to be inflammatory. You know, like you're trying to capture the spirit of your industry in that first opening headline. So like I mentioned, we've got all of this written down. Plus we have a couple other formulas that you could take a look at. If you guys want to check that out, ownvideo.com slash shorts. It's free, it's available today. It's out for the first time ever. So we're really excited about it. Fire Nation formulas, step-by-step processes. I mean, just do some. You don't necessarily have to publish these right away, but do them to get familiar with it, to get comfortable with it.

32Opening headline, three mic drop supporting points, call to action, let's go. Now, long form contents, long form in general. Is that even still a thing? Long form is epic and it's where you'll convert your clients, right? Shorts is how you make them love you. Shorts is how you get them to recognize your name. This is like a big awareness tool, right? Because you're going to go on multiple platforms. You're going to put this on Facebook and on YouTube, right? Or maybe it's on Instagram and on Facebook because you're nervous about starting a YouTube channel. But we have got companies and clients in this industry that are building channels just off of shorts.

09And that's important because like you mentioned, right, you see, I log in and I watch 31 short becomes 30 shorts. One hundred percent. That means that we have more of an opportunity to be seen by that same one person who may only watch one long form video today. So, so shorts is your awareness strategy. Long form is going to be your conversion strategy. Now, long form is where, where people flip out because again, it's like, oh, I've got to like get a script and get a teleprompter. And I've got some amazing colleagues in the space who, who do me a favor by focusing on the production and like, you need this tool and you need that software.

52I don't believe in any of that. Will softwares and cameras and things provide you with a competitive edge. Yes, absolutely. It will. You'll look better. But we are seeing Zoom videos play extremely well, 70 ,000 views. This guy's getting 1 ,000 views per upload, minimum. So I want you to think about long form in this way. Get this. I want you to think about your library. I want you to think about this Netflix channel that you have and what content needs to go on that channel. Now you should have a couple of different categories here, right? Number one is bringing people in to your channel. I should have a long form video here that brings people in to my channel.

46Maybe that's a search engine video. Maybe a well-known celebrity is in the news and it relates to your industry. Case in point, my good friend, Emily Baker, She's an attorney. She's doing attorney content, right? How to sue in a law court, right? And it's just like snoozer, right? And all of a sudden, Johnny Depp, Amber Heard happens. Oh, yeah. She's now commenting on the legalities and the showmanship of this trial. Develops this huge following. And then, by the way, I was actually watching the documentary on that show, and they were bringing in YouTubers who were doing those shows and making those comments.

26And then they were actually like on Netflix. So, I mean, it was like going next, next level. Circle of life, bro. It's like the circle. But, you know, you're proving the point, you know, absolutely. So, so here's the thing. What, what video, once a month, you, you sit in front of your camera and you deliver a live message to your audience, right? Like, Hey, everyone, glad you're here today. I wanted to talk about widgets and why my widgets are the best. Or today I wanted to just deliver a quick message on the value of a real estate agent during the buyer process, right? Because I'm going to go deep on you for a second here.

06It's like, look, there's been some legislation proposing that buyer agents no longer get a commission, right? So what does that mean for you as the home buyer, right? Are you going to save money or are you going to buy a loser house because you didn't have an advocate? it. That's what I wanted to talk about. I wanted to share that with you, you know, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, right. That's as simple as a video can be. It could be live or live to tape, right? This is live to tape is this where you just kind of like film it live right into your camera. You don't stop. You trim off the beginning, you trim off the end, you put it on YouTube and you move on.

43You send that video to your email list as you're meeting prospects for the month. You're saying, Hey, did you see our, our latest video on YouTube? You could even look, I hate to look you could even run ads to it, you know, get a thousand, 5 ,000 views on it, email it out to your list and be like, our latest videos blowing up guys products running off the shelves. But now I'm getting into some deep strategy. I don't want to go too far. Look, YouTube's a powerful, powerful platform for turning your time into revenue. And that's what we want you to focus on. Fire Nation, love all of that. So many great examples.

19And let's end with a bang, Owen. What is the one key takeaway of everything we talked about as far as viral, as far as shorts, reels, formula, long form, all this awesome stuff you talked about here today? What's the one thing you really want to make sure Fire Nation gets from our conversation today? The country that we live in and the world economy that we live in today is looking for leaders. We're looking for leadership. We're tired of the dishonesty of what we see. and as the nation is looking for leaders, leaders will step up and they are being found on YouTube. So the big opportunity that I want to reach that person in the audience who has a message and who has something that could change lives, it's time for you to step up.

18This is the time. Videos can be pre-produced and post-produced with AI robot tools. Editing is no longer a problem. Any type of camera will deliver this message for you. You've got to stand up and make the videos. And so I'm here to tell you that now is the time. Now is when the marketplace is looking to adopt and follow tomorrow's leaders. I want you to be that leader, and I want you to pick up your camera, and I want you to deliver a message as if a nation is waiting for you because that, that is what YouTube is all about.
