And today, we'll talk about the rise of the passive e-commerce.
35We'll also talk about inside automation, profit and sustainability, setting real expectations, and oh, so much more. And a big thank you for sponsoring today's episode goes to Jose and our sponsors. Fire Nation, are you ready to make 2026 your best year yet? Again, request life-changing tickets today at thrivetimeshow.com slash EO Fire.
09Are you ready for the ultimate all-in-one platform for entrepreneurs, marketers, coaches, and agencies? Build funnels, automate follow-ups, manage clients, and even white label your own software. Say hello to our featured partner, High Level, and visit highlevelfire.com to start your free trial today. Jose, say what's up to Fire Nation and share something that you believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with. Hey, Fire Nation, how's it going? Nice to meet you all. Yeah, one thing that I believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with is I believe in order to become successful, you got to basically bet on yourself before anyone believes in you, even when there's no safe routes, evidence that you will even win.
00Most people, I think, when it comes to success, they like to play it safe and follow proven paths. But I feel that the real breakthroughs often come from taking calculated risks when others are scared to take. And Fire Nation, that's why today we're talking about how to build passive income through Amazon automation. And we're talking without lifting a finger. So, Jose, I want to talk about the rise of passive e-commerce. What would you say is driving the explosion of this quote unquote, hands off e-commerce business? And what's the real versus hype in today's market? it. Yeah, I truly believe a lot of people are starting to talk about, you know, Amazon automation or just e-commerce in general, just to, you know, many people want to make extra money without having to invest more time into something.
49So, you know, what we offer here is pretty much a done for you service where the pros, my team and I will pretty much manage your own store, where it allows you to pretty much add another income stream into your portfolio, where it's truly 100 % passive, where you're basically earning money, again, without learning or putting any time into it. And it's some things that I that I've seen in the past in terms of, you know, what's real, what's hype, something with real is, you know, we're able to prove that you're making money with proven systems, real products, real warehouses, real teams, and basically providing full-on transparency and proper expectations.
33And what the hype is all about is basically anyone promise you any get-rich-fast schemes with no worker risks, obviously 9 out of 10 times, that's probably not true. So you always want to be aware of that. I want to talk about inside automation specifically. How does e-commerce automation actually work behind the scenes, Jose, and which parts can actually be truly systemized without killing margins? Because I mean, let's be honest, at the end of the day, profits, the name of the game. At the end of the day, it's you own the store and my team and I will pretty much manage the store for you, which includes, you know, the product research.
14What exactly can we resell on Amazon to make, you know, a 10 to 20 % profit margin? Order fulfillment. So whenever sales start coming in, my team will handle the 100 % fulfillment of those orders. Product listing, customer service, refunds. And one of the main one is returns. You know, we do have a warehouse that our clients only use. And anytime a customer needs to return an item from your store, you know, my team here in Texas will basically handle all that for you guys. So again, the only thing I let my clients know that, you know, you are responsible in terms of our automation service is managing your working credit, your working capital, basically telling my team how much available credit or money you had to spend for inventory on a monthly basis.
04As long as you can handle that, my team and I will basically handle everything else from the store from A to Z. Jose, let's talk about profitability and sustainability because I want to know what separates a profitable long-term store from one that might actually look good on paper, but will collapse after just a few months? Yeah. So one of the main things with the long term profitable store is at the beginning, starting off very slow, just because with Amazon and as a new seller, you have no feedback, you have no sales metrics. So that's something that we have to build on every brand new store.
42So basically starting off very slow for the first two or three months, ensuring that We're doing everything we need to do to provide a great service to our Amazon customers. So selling your typical boring products every day to our customers, focusing more on sales and not huge numbers at the beginning. And again, just growing very slow and safely. And again, that's typically what happens for the first three to six months of a brand new store. and where I see a lot of stores fail or just, you know, stores not doing as good as others is, you know, starting too fast. You know, at the end of the day, you know, as humans, we all want to make money right away from day one.
31But, you know, with any business, great things take time. So again, not selling too fast, not overselling, not selling things that that you don't have any inventory of because all those things will and can long-term make your store fail. So we like to basically start slow and steady and over time, step on the gas pedal to really bring in those nice numbers for you guys. And that's why I love working with entrepreneurs and business owners who have experienced the actual field that I'm in Fire Nation because, you know, Jose and his team, like, you know, they have the data, they have the experience, They know what works, what doesn't work, the seasonality of things, you know, the different metrics that are important, all these different things.
18Like you can either learn the hard way, like everybody else that's just starting this journey on their own, or you can skip ahead with the knowledge that other individuals know because of hard-earned experience. We're going to talk about setting real expectations, avoiding costly mistakes, and oh, so much more when we get back from thanking our sponsors. Do you remember your first date with your significant other? I remember mine with Kate. We went out to dinner at an Italian restaurant and chatted about some pretty deep stuff, including what each of us wanted to see in the future. A big question, but a critical one in knowing whether you're a good match.

High Level, join the revolution. Jose, we're back. I want to talk about setting real expectations because I love breaking things down to their core. So what should entrepreneurs realistically expect when it comes to startup costs, timelines, cashflow, ROI? Great question.
17So for the startup costs that we offer here at Amazon Automation is pretty much a 35K investment upfront. I call that an all-in cost. Again, there's no annual fees. There's no renewal fees with our service. So once you pay that 35K, you know, my team and I will basically take over your store for you guys. In terms of cash flow, what I said earlier in the show is, you know, again, it is going to be very slow for the first couple of months. But typically after two or three months, you should start cash flowing because at the end of the day, we're only selling things and buying things once we sold it first.
56So we let the orders come in first and then we're buying a second. So anytime, you know, we charge your credit card, you know that, you know, an order has already came in for that for that item. And then in terms of ROI, when to when to expect to make your full investment back. I typically give everyone a 12 to 18 month time frame just to be safe. At the end of the day, I've had some clients make it much sooner. I've had some clients make a little bit after. It just really depends. The number one thing that kind of controls how much someone makes is the time they're with our service. And number two is how much available, you know, credit or capital they have to allocate to the store on a monthly basis.
38Obviously, the more you have to spend, hindsight is my team can be more aggressive on your store, meaning, you know, more sales and more profit at the end of the day. Fire Nation, I love that these decisions are in your hands because you can either turn up the volume or turn things down depending on your confidence, how things are doing, maybe how other things in your life are going with your other business, whatever it might be. So I really like that you have that optionality. But I want to talk about avoiding costly mistakes, Jose, because the wrong mistake, I mean, that can tank your business before it even gets off the ground.
12So how can someone spot scams early? Because we all know they're out there. And of course, you know, choosing a legitimate automation partner is so key. So talk about those scams. Talk about those automation partners. I've been managing stores since 2019. So I've been, you know, in the ballpark for quite a while now. So I've seen a lot of companies come and go. But the number one is when you're trying to find a provider to manage your own stores, how long have they been in service? Do they have a warehouse that they own that they can basically service the stores from? Are they offering guaranteed profits?
49Are they making money when you don't? Those are some things that you definitely want to look at because if they're not able to answer that or even show you that, they may be a scam. Some things that you do want to look for that are positive when choosing a partner is, again, how long they've been running the stores. They only make money when you make money. So they strictly work off a net profit split. You know, I know a lot of franchises, they work off royalties where, you know, they make three, four or five percent every month from your business. But, you know, that's off your revenue. So they could be making money, but you're still losing money.
29We don't work that way. So, again, we work off a net profit split model. So the more money my team makes you, the more money they make for themselves. Again, you own the store 100 percent. It's under your name, your LLC. So I tell people, I like to make the example, it's like you own the house, your name's on the deed. We're just like the property management company. We basically just manage all the day-to-day operations to make you money. And that's kind of the best way to explain that. What's one common scam that you just see over and over again? Like get as specific as possible. Like what's this scam that seems to just be kind of going around now that people are unfortunately falling for, that when you see it, you just, it's obvious because you are so in this industry.
15Yeah. I think the biggest thing is when, uh, you know, you see these, you know, promoters, you know, promoting something, uh, that you kind of feels not real, you know, they're promoting, you know, Oh, you're going to be making$20 ,000 the first month. They're in front of Bugattis and Lamborghinis and Ferraris and all that. Um, you know, that's, that's kind of one thing you kind of want to stay away from, uh, again, anyone that's in business that actually making money. They don't have to flaunt that type of media to get someone to sign up. Right. But what I said earlier is it's really just, you know, doing your doing your research, look up the company, look up the website, ask to see live results for stores, you know, you know, how long they've been in business.
01Those are all key things that, again, you want a great question to ask a provider, you know, before you actually make the decision. I want to talk about the road ahead. I mean, AI is real. It's disrupting a lot of industries. So with that being said, where is passive income and e-commerce automation heading in the next three to five years in your opinion? Because you have your finger on the pole. So who is best positioned to win? Yeah, the best people that are positioned to win is people that are thinking long-term, people that want to work with real operators, and people that want to treat this as an actual business and not like a shortcut.
40I truly believe, you know, I get this question asked a lot on calls that people want to sign up is, you know, how long do you see this going on for? I mean, Amazon's not going anywhere. They're the king of the jungle. And at the end of the day, Amazon makes, you know, 15 % or so off every seller as their, you know, as their commission fees. So again, they're not going anywhere. All Amazon is doing is providing a huge marketplace and where sellers like ourselves are able to use it and basically resell products at obviously a higher cost. So I truly don't believe Amazon's going anywhere. Obviously, automation is here to stay with AI and, you know, ChatGPT and all this crazy stuff that's going on in the world.
32At the end of the day, people still need to buy things. people still want to shop online. They don't want to head to stores to buy these things. And again, we're just basically reselling things at a slightly higher price than what these people can buy it for at local stores or whatever. So Jose, for entrepreneurs who are exploring the passive e-commerce world, what would you say is one non-negotiable principle that they should probably lock in before investing a single dollar? Yeah, I truly believe that if someone else owns a store, controls the bank account, controls all the decisions and gets paid whether you win or lose.
08I don't truly believe that's passive income. That's more of a pretty risky situation that you're in. I truly believe that, you know, real passive e-commerce means that you control the asset. You own the store. You have access to everything that we have access to. So you can see where every dollar is going to. And at the end of the day is, you know, you only make, we only make money as a provider whenever you make money. So again, it's a win-win model. So I truly believe if you lock that in first, everything else kind of just because of business decision and not really a gamble. Jose, if Fire Nation is listening and they want to learn more, they're interested.
48I mean, because to them, it's making a lot of sense. I mean, they're going to make money only when the store is profitable and you're only going to be making money as the partner, again, when there's actual real profits, what would your call to action be for our listeners? Where do you want them to go? Website, call to action, give it to us now.
