What's up, Fire Nation? So great question, and good to be here with you, JLD. Seriously, you've become such a good friend over the years. I love what you're doing. I love that your book is out there impacting lives.

1:46Thank you. You just keep up-leveling, and it's really awesome to watch, man. I mean it. And this might sound weird, but I'm proud of you, and thanks for all you do for the world. Oh, thank you. So something that other entrepreneurs might believe is go for the money. You know, I think some people feel bad saying that they're starting a business, ramping a business, working hard because of money. Make money the number one priority because money solves problems. And to look at it through another light is give it all away if you want. If you have the opportunity to earn, the world needs our help. Last year, I've been blessed.

2:22I was blessed to have the biggest year ever of giving away. It wasn't my biggest year for business, but my heart is in this space where money solves problems. We donated$600 ,000 to Operation Underground Railroad to help kids in slavery. We built a school in Africa. We provided seven million meals through Feeding America. I get to retire my parents, and I've done that for two decades. I'm not saying that to be like, look how great I am. But I think sometimes as we grow, we start thinking, especially in today's culture, that money is bad. And I would just say, you know, if you think money's bad or it doesn't buy happiness, you haven't given enough away yet.

2:58So if you have the ability to earn, the ability to grow, make it and then change the world with it. I love that mentality. And I actually am a big believer, Fire Nation, that you are obligated to make money because guess what? You can't keep giving your gift to the world, sharing your voice, your message, your mission with the world if you can't put food on the table, have shelter for your family, for your loved ones. So, I mean, there's an obligation here. Let's embrace this. Let's make this happen. And Dean, as I mentioned in the introduction, we're talking today all about how to take control of your own success by taking advantage of a global economic shift.

3:35And you believe, Dean, and by the way, I wholeheartedly agree with you, that we are in the midst of a global economic shift. Can you expound upon this for Fire Nation? I'm going to just share something Tony said, and it's the simplest thing, but he said, Humpty Dumpty broke, and you can't put it back together the same way. And, you know, But sometimes like, listen, we both appreciate Tony in a big way, my partner and dear friend, but sometimes it's really deep what he says. And sometimes it seems really simple, but it really has more meaning is the world is completely shifted and it's not going back to the way it was.

4:11And when a world shifts that much, when cultures shift that much, when we go from in person to online and virtual exponentially grows and technology from that continues to grow, we're not going back to the way we were. And that means there's a huge global economic shift happening. And money is flowing from different people to new industries. It's flowing out of old industries into new. And I just believe that if we don't, you know, Wayne Gretzky, the skater, I think he's from Canada, originally played here in the States, too. One of the best skaters of all time, hockey, no matter, you know, wherever you're listening in the world.

4:48he was asked once why he's so good at hockey or why you know how'd you do so well or win another championship he said some people unfortunately skate to where the puck was some people and most skate to where the puck currently is he said I got really lucky and figured out how to skate where the puck was going and I think if we don't observe that there's an economic and a global shift we're going to skate where the puck was or where it is and those that get to come out ahead are going to where the puck is going. And that's why, you know, we'll scream from mountaintops. It's time to explore, time to investigate, see where money is flowing, see what industries are growing, where is, where are the revolutions, the breakthroughs, the category Kings, the groundswell, the wave.

5:35And I think when you do that, it's not as difficult as you think, because most people sit on their hands in times like these, they wait for someone else to fix it. And just like we're talking about, if you wait for someone else to fix it. Someone else will own your future. I mean, Dean, we've known each other for a few years now. You know that I don't like to mince words and I'm here for Fire Nation's benefit. So who is going to benefit from this shift? Break it down for us. There are more industries than one, but I don't, I'm not obsessed on many industries, but the industry that Tony and I are both obsessed on, the industry you're in, JLD, and the one that all your guests, most of your guests are in, or a lot of your guests are in is the knowledge industry.

6:17Yeah, almost all of them. You know, there's a new phrase that everybody says is knowledge is the new currency. And the fact of the matter is knowledge has always been the most important currency, right? In life, people who struggle are trying to figure out how to do things. And this is something I think you should write down right now, write down and really remember this. And this is no mixed messaging here. This is right to the point. When you're thinking of how to do it, how to figure it out, and how you can make it happen. The person that's going by you 100 miles an hour is figuring out who has already done it and they can cut a check to go faster by learning from them.

6:53It's how versus who. And in today's world where knowledge is the new currency and you combine that with a pandemic where people are home and they're wanting to learn how to go faster from their computer, the information industry, the knowledge industry, the self-education industry, whatever you want to call it, is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. People are paying for the asset that lives between your ears. The experience you went through, the mess you went through that you're on the other side, the skill you've honed, the expertise that you've created or the thing that you've been studying for a long time.

7:30People don't want to learn on their own because the world is moving too fast and they're going to be left behind. So they want to learn from someone who's been there. They don't want to go back to traditional general education. So one of the industries, is the groundswell of revolution is the self-education industry. It's been, I mean, Tony's been in it for 40 plus years. And then there was Dale Carnegie and Earl Nightingale and Napoleon Hill. It's been around, but now it's available to absolutely everyone because every niche possible, people are saying, I could start off on third base if I find somebody who's already been there.

8:01And in most cases, you're listening. You've already been somewhere that someone wants to be. Fire Nation, I hope you're really absorbing these words that Dean's saying. I mean, I'm taking notes. He's asking you to write things down. I hope you're doing these things. I mean, a couple of things that I wrote down that I just love. Knowledge is the new currency. Just think about that. And the reality is, like Dean said, it's always been the currency. It's just somehow some people are recognizing this reality. And let me ask you a question, Fire Nation. I think you should be asking yourself. Are you willing to cut a check to speed up your learning curve?

8:32Are you willing to invest in yourself, your time, your energy, your mental bandwidth, your focus, your finances? Are you willing to cut a check to speed this learning curve up? Or are you willing to just let people zoom right on by you? And I know a lot of reason why people don't start, Dean, is because they think they have to be like the top 1 % of the 1 % of experts in the world to talk about something. Is that the case? Do we have to be an expert? I think that's the biggest misnomer ever because I promise you, you're a chapter, multiple chapters or a whole book ahead of somebody starting off you know true i've said this before jld but i want to say it again because i want you to hear it and and i know you have the best audience in the world and i know you guys listen i want you to really hear this what if you had one week to prepare you had a whole week to prepare and you had the opportunity someone was giving you the gift that you could go spend one hour with your 20 year old self you had one week to prepare and you could only pick two topics.

9:34Maybe it's love and relationships or career or income or starting your own business. Could you imagine how frantic you would work for a week? And how much would you have to share? Right? I mean, it comes to money and say, oh my God, your parents love you, but you don't have to follow what they did. You don't have to follow that pattern. You could break out. You could do your own thing. You should believe in yourself. Don't feel like an imposter. Here's four limiting beliefs that took me 20 years to crack that I want you to crack at 20. Here's a belief about impact. You could, sales doesn't have to be cheesy.

10:02You could do it to service and you can help other people. I mean, think how many things you'd want to teach your 20 year old self. I mean, right now I know because I've done this in front of 50 ,000 people. And when I say, what would that be worth to you? There's only two answers. I know what you're thinking, either priceless or millions. I've had tens of thousands of comments and they're priceless or millions. And I don't care how many times I repeat that because when you feel that way you have to realize there are limitless amount of people right now like your 20 year old self that need what you've discovered what you've learned maybe you went through a divorce and you're on the other side and you made it magical for your children even though divorce is ugly somebody's starting divorce today or you started a podcast and you know how to crush podcasts like jld you could start and figure it out in your own or you could spend cut a check and have jld consult or or give you a course in in every niche possible whether it's cutting hair knowing sales marketing eating vegan, learning how to do yoga.

10:56I mean, meditation. I mean, every Tony and I've been helping people for a couple of years now, JLD, as you know, we have over 5 ,000 niches. People are helping other people in right now. This isn't for JLD and Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi anymore. This is for anybody willing to unlock that asset. I said this the other day and I didn't, I didn't plan it and I'm probably not going to say it again, but I said in today's world, You don't need inventory because your experience is your inventory and your brain, your routine, your ears is the warehouse that holds that asset. And really in today's world, you got to just unlock it, identify the clients that want it and share it so you can impact their lives, but also create success for yourself.

11:38Talk about value bombs, Fire Nation. I hope you hit the rewind 30 second button to listen to that whole analogy right there a couple of times. It needs to be absorbed by your brain, Fire Nation. Because what if you had one week to prepare and you could only pick two topics to teach yourself? Like how frantic would you be like Dean was talking about? Because you know this is your one chance to really set yourself up for generational wealth. And guess what, Fire Nation? You are a chapter ahead of millions of people. Absolutely. On countless topics right now. We're talking countless. So what do you want to help people learn?

12:17And JLD, think about this. One of the things Tony and I love to share is selling isn't selling. Selling is service when you're impacting people's lives, right? And I always tell people, if you spent that week and you had all these things down, how important would it be for you to get the attention of your 20-year-old self if they didn't know it was you? what would you do to get them to listen you would do anything and when people ask dean tony why are you guys so enthusiastic about all you do because i know if i can give somebody a shift an idea a strategy a secret something i discovered that took me pain or loss or fear sleepless nights and i came out on the other side and i know the answer my enthusiasm my desire to serve is huge just like if my 20 year old self started to walk away and say I'm busy, I would tackle him.

13:05I mean, think about it, right? You would tackle him and hold him face it. Listen to me. You don't understand the gifts I'm going to give you in the next hour will save you pain. We'll save you hardship. We'll allow you to get to that full, you know, love in your life or abundance in your life or that career or impact. Listen to me. That's how important it is. So when people say, why are you and Tony still work so hard at this phase in your life? Because we know we have some of those things for people to go faster and will do whatever it takes to get it in their hands. Fire Nation, I hope you're getting chills and shivers right now because this is the power of knowledge.

13:40This is the power of just taking a stand and saying, you know what? I am a chapter ahead. You know what? I have the ability to benefit from this shift that's happening in the world if I surround myself with the right people, if I learn, if I'm willing to cut a check, if I'm willing to get ahead of this curve. And Fire Nation, we have so much more information on this topic and how you specifically can benefit from what Dean and I and so many other people are putting together to help you when we get back from thanking our sponsors. Hosting on Airbnb is something I hadn't really considered until a couple of years ago, and I'm so glad I did.

16:16After purchasing an investment property in our community, we wanted to find a simple way to share it with those traveling to Puerto Rico for a vacation. We thought, why not earn some extra cash? Turns out Airbnb is a perfect fit. Getting started was simple with the Airbnb setup guide, which provided a ton of insights into what amenities and features guests love the most. And by following tips from other hosts, within about six months, we earned super host status. With how easy it is to get started, I'm just sorry I didn't do it sooner. Later this year, we'll be traveling to see family in California and Maine for a couple of months, and we're considering putting our own home on Airbnb while we're away.

16:52That's right. While you're away, your home could be an Airbnb. Find out how much your home could be worth at Airbnb.com slash host. So Dean, not too long ago, we had an amazing weekend in Florida where we got to surround ourselves with some of the most incredible entrepreneurs, the most successful entrepreneurs in the world. And it just reminded me once again, of the power of surrounding yourself with the right people that Jim Rohn quote that I end every one of my episodes with, that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. I mean, these are individuals, I walked away from that from that one weekend, just being like, Oh my god, there's 17 things I need to implement into my business.

17:32And going into that weekend, I thought there were zero things I need to implement into my business. But it's just the power of starting stuff with the right people. They know secrets. They know tactics. They know what's working right now. So let's talk about some of these secrets that certain people right now are utilizing that are helping them thrive. They're helping them shift the world in such a powerful way. Like who knows these secrets to thriving that you're surrounding yourself with? Here's what I know. When you ask a question like that, JLD, and I know you probably do the same exact thing, but I want to share the obvious for everybody listening right now.

18:08When I have a question like that, there's two things that come to mind is who is sharing the strategies, right? And, and what are the techniques that are working right now? And I want to share that. But then I also think of the upstream, right? There's always two answers because you could give someone a business on how to sell$20 bills for$10. And if they're thinking, Oh my God, it's not the right time. Or my wife is not on board with me right now, or, you know, I have to wait till the shift in the world, you know, the technology's too hard. Everybody on Facebook is advertising the same thing.

18:41If you don't crush the belief upstream, the downstream will never work. Right. And I know that's not an exact alignment, but I'm going to just think with your answer, with your question, JLD, but I want everybody to really think about that. I had an amazing woman in one of our high level coaching programs and the chance to talk to her. She was such a badass. She was so cool. And she got on and her question was, Dean, I just can't seem to make a video on my sales page. Everything's done. And I could tell this woman was going to change the world, JLD. Like, you know, when you just feel it, she just had it.

19:14And she's like, I just can't make a video. And she was looking for the tactic and the strategy on how to make a video for today's shifting world. And I know that. And I had already taught her and I went through the process and she goes, I get it. It's just, oh, I just don't know. I just can't film it. and I stopped and I could feel her hesitation. The downstream was in today's world, one secret is speak to people where they are. If you're marketing, if your conversations are the same they were a year ago, you've already been left behind. It's why your marketing's not working. If you're speaking in video as a transactional business owner rather than a relationship business owner in today's world, you're already being left behind.

19:50Your marketing's not working or you can't get off the ground. So that's a tactical giveaway. My videos convert now better than ever before, but I speak to people, I build relationships and I entered conversations going on in their mind now, not what was going on in their mind a year ago. So that's the tactical. This woman had that, but then I asked a few questions, JLD, and I found out that upstream, because I think in this, these two terms upstream, her husband didn't believe in what she was doing. She thought it was, he thought it was an industry that only other people could get in. And she was embarrassed to shoot a video because she thought if she did and put it out there, he'd make fun of her.

20:26Yeah. So how do you fix the tactic and the strategy? If upstream, she doesn't want to get made fun of by her husband. We came up with a plan. She got him on board. He watched a couple of our videos. He realized how empowered is now they're doing it together. Right. But sometimes we want them quick answer of what's working. I gave you that. But if something upstream is stopping you, you'll never do it. So I'm going to encourage that great question by jelly. JLD is for you to look in your head, what tactical strategy do you need or what tool do you need? But also, do you have the right belief behind you to empower that tool or strategy?

21:03Fire Nation, do you have the belief? I mean, I love that example that Dean gave about how that one little thing that was figured out, all of a sudden cracked open, not just the single opportunity, but now the amazing opportunity. And now they're doing it together and they're both out there with their mission, their message, their voice with the world. And that's what happens when you come together, Fire Nation, and you're open. You're open to learning. You're open to writing a check to get there faster. You're open to investing in yourself, time, energy, money. And Dean, you have been investing in yourself for so many years now, and you've been helping others invest in themselves for so many years now.

21:46And you are putting together something incredibly special. And I want to talk about the Own Your Future Challenge. So tell us as much as you can reveal about this challenge and how Fire Nation can get involved. Yeah, I'm so excited about this. You know, Tony and I, you know, the world has shifted. Let's just say it like it is. And people are uncertain. And if we don't pivot, if we don't gain new capabilities, new mindset, this is a time where you can be left behind. I hate to say it's so harsh, but it's true. And if you're left behind, someone else could own your future. And that's just not acceptable.

22:21So in January, Tony and I got together, I ran all the marketing, I spoke too, but I ran all the marketing, we did it. And we went after, you know, I love being, you know, Tony was someone who changed my life two decades ago, and now he's a dear friend. And he's always pushing me to go to another level. Both of us play like we're 10 points down, legit. And January, we did a challenge for five days to help people shift their mindset in this new world. And he killed it. I mean, I did my part, but he crushed it. And we, it was five days. We put 837 ,000 people in it. I mean, it was unbelievable. 190 countries all around the world playing full out.

22:56But since then, so many people have asked, okay, that was my mindset. How do I change my economic future? Where is my future? How do I do my own thing? How do I enter an industry that's growing? Because I think mine will shift, or I don't want to be in mine anymore, or I'm already in the online, you know, community, but I'm not thriving. So we decided to do the own your future challenge based on building your own economy. Listen, you asked before about the global economy. How do we fix the global economy? We start by fixing the economy in our homes. How do we fix the global conversation? We change the conversation in our homes, right?

23:30We surround ourselves with people that see a bigger, brighter future, not the people who are talking about doom and gloom, and it's over. Like nobody's coming to save us. And you know, this JLD, we think the same way. If we want to make impact on the world, then we need to be successful. Tony and I have literally two nights ago, we were on the phone for three hours talking about this on how we, how do we serve more, go bigger. So this time we're shooting for a million people. We're doing the own your future challenge. It starts on May 11th. So put that in your calendar right now. And over five days, and it's not just Tony and I, we invited some of our dearest friends.

24:04And we have, when When you go to the link, I'm sure JLD will give you the link here in a moment. When you go to the link, you're going to be blown away by the people that are attending to teach you. And here, I'll just reveal. These are people that get$20 ,000 to$300 ,000 to be on stage for 90 minutes, and they're all doing it for free. Five days, pulling back the curtain and showing you how to gain new beliefs. But then how do you gain capabilities to enter the knowledge industry, the information industry, share what you know, have the confidence to do it. How to identify the exact people who need it?

24:35how to sell it to them through service, not cheesy selling, how to teach through a model, story teach tool model that anyone can do with confidence. How do you enter an industry that's heading towards a billion dollars a day? And we decided, you know what, let's do five days for free and let's pull back the curtain and show people. Now this, and JLD, I get a little excited about this, so feel free to reel me in, but I want to say three quick things. JLD will give you the the URL. But when you go, I want you to do a couple of things. First, reserve, reserve your seat and then put it in your phone right at some place.

Read the full transcript

25:07There's no replay. We're doing five days and then all the training has to come down. There's just too much value that's going to be out there. This is a, this is an unprecedented event and it, but you get one shot at it. So put it in your phone. But secondly, take that link and share it with your friends who need this. Some of them don't know what's happening. Some of them don't even know they need to go and they will have huge FOMO, maybe even they won't even have FOMO because they won't know. But this is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to wrangle all these amazing people together, all hell bent on helping you succeed in this shifting world.

25:39So send it out to a friend. And then the last thing, and I've been saying this a lot, but I'm going to say it again. Just like, I love how JLD stops and says, fire nation, are you listening?
