18Build funnels, automate follow-ups, manage clients, and even white-label your own software. Say hello to our featured partner, high level and visit highlevelfire.com to start your free trial today. Hanny, say what's up to Fire Nation and share something that you believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with. All right. Hey, Fire Nation. I think a lot of people think that you need to work hard nonstop and build a huge team to be successful in your business. But from my experience, I've learned you got to create systems. You got to create like SOPs. Combine that with automation and AI, especially nowadays, you can really grow much faster and without burning out.
03Fire Nation, we have a lot to talk about today. Hany and I go way back. We've spoken at conferences together. We've been just rock and roll. I've been using his tool, repurpose.io, forever now. And we'll be talking about the platform that is powering over 10 ,000 creators' content success. And Hany, you're a self-proclaimed video and software automation geek. and you created popular WordPress tools for creators back in the day. Then you decided to pivot or adjust or just do something a little bit different and build repurpose.io. And this was after customers like myself, by the way, asked for a cross-platform solution.
39So tell us that story. Yeah, so I've always loved solving problems. Like I'm an engineer and I love solving problems and my tools were software. Like I knew I was good at software. So, and I love video as a kid. That's the biggest video geek ever. so you know one day it just occurred to me i got to start building software tools to help you know people who do software and content so i started building wordpress plugins because that's kind of an easy way for me to get started and then like you mentioned like podcasters i built tools for video creators to help automate things to wordpress but then there's a common trend that kind of kept becoming a common question kept coming back and say hey i love your tools love the automation but can i go beyond wordpress like can i go to youtube and you know facebook and other platforms across all my socials and first answer was always no because you know build a tool we solve one problem and then just enough people ask me and honestly i thought it was like my call like people say hey i felt like i need to give this a try and that's how the repurpose platform was born it's just enough people ask me can you build the automation that can do this take it to youtube take it to facebook take it to twitter take it to pinterest and that's how it started it was just enough people asking and and i feel like you know at that time i was just building small tools and but i wanted to build something that's a little more sustainable i wanted something that i can actually solve many problems without having to build many different tools so i wanted to build a platform that allowed us to connect youtube and facebook into other platforms so you can automate things and um honestly like wordpress was great but then when i took the challenge on building it to repurpose it was that's really i felt like this is where i wanted to be um you know people solving solving creators problems like i don't look at it as a business in the beginning i looked at it as i'm here to help fellow creators i was a creator myself and honestly a lot of these creators like yourself became friends over time yeah we really have and I've loved seeing your growth and just seeing the trajectory of your company and how many people you've helped.
43And there's so many great lessons within this Fire Nation. I mean, we need to walk outside every single day, take a deep breath of fresh air, you know, taking that sun on our face, look around and listen, listen to people's problems, their challenges, their struggles. And 99 % of them, you're not the person to solve that problem, that challenge. But every now and then, that 1%, maybe even that 0.1 % of the time, you'll hear a problem over and over again. You're like, I can solve that problem. That is a challenge that I can rectify. And then you set off to become the number one solution to a real problem in a growing industry.
22And then you win. Now you scale to 20 ,000 plus users without burnout or a big team. That's something that you and I both really stress. I don't want to say we stress over it. We don't stress over it, but we're very focused on the fact that we don't want a huge team. We don't want to burn out. So how the heck did you accomplish this? We started over eight years ago. And like I mentioned earlier, I wanted to build a platform. I didn't want to build like a tool. I want to build a platform. And the vision was clear. We wanted to create one platform that's scalable and that can automate across all social media platforms.
57Didn't want to launch multiple products or have big teams. And launching multiple product means more headaches, more launches. So again, the focus was one platform that we can scale up and add more integrations, more features to solve more problems without having to recreate new softwares for it. So even though it did begin as a single use case, basically our first feature we launched and repurposed was just take an audio podcast, take an audio piece of content, turn that into a video with the goal of putting that on YouTube. Because back then it was really hard to put audio. You can't put audio content on YouTube.
31so you had to turn it into a video and most people didn't have time or energy or tools so we built that automation so even though it was designed first objective first problem we saw was turning audios into videos getting them onto youtube we designed it to be modular so we had that vision in mind our platform must be modular so that in the future like now we have tiktok and we have blue sky we have a million platforms coming out every day we knew that from day one the system has to be modular so you know designing something for the long term always sets you up for success and another thing is i you know i chose i personally chose to grow slowly like i didn't want like let's pump up on ad money and get investor money and just let's grow the crap out of this thing it wasn't about that i just i wanted to grow slowly making sure we're actually solving problems with the right team with the right infrastructure because we're building a software and we just kind of expanded as we grew we added more team more infrastructure as needed and and I think I mentioned earlier it wasn't about the money for me I mean it was about helping like giving real value to creators and you know became friends through conferences through one-on-one calls and I treated everybody like a friend not a customer not not a dollar sign everyone became a friend and so I think that that really helped a lot is like just kind of having a real connection with the creators, but also having a big vision, but starting, build something small and grow it as you grow.
00If you try to grow too fast, I mean, you know, if you're trying to build a house too fast, it can collapse on you. So what does your team look like now size-wise? Yeah, now it's been eight years. So now we're about say 12, 12 to 15 people. But when we started, it was just myself and a developer. It was two people when we started and then we added a support person, I think a few months into it. So we were three people for a long time for the first maybe year or two. And then we added the fourth or fifth. So now we're up to 12 to 15 people. We've expanded our growth. But the thing is, I'm personally not managing those 10 and 15 people.
38And I think that's an important lesson for anybody who's growing their business. So I still feel we're leading with the number of users we have and just the amount of traffic we get. you know we have the number of affiliates we have and you know we have teams for all those but myself i'm still managing you know i report to a kind of handful so i report to my team below me reports about three or four people that report to me so the team has grown but it's it's something you grow as you need to like you don't want to invest a lot of money or a lot of infrastructure or a lot of ad money to something without having kind of what's called a product market fit right I want to make sure you have that before you start scaling up your team and your infrastructure and your growth.
22So once we actually have customers, talk to us about the importance of listening to those customers and actually getting their feedback in order to make decisions about which ways you're driving the product's growth. That's a tough one. So in the early days, I was relying on my instinct. My instinct, because I was a content creator myself. and so I was relying on my instinct to kind of get set the foundation to start prioritizing which new features we want to build next so you know I did have one-on-one call we stood up talk to customers in the beginning and then once we hit product market fit then we like because a lot of times in the beginning when you start something sometimes customers don't even know what problems they have so you kind of have to present solutions to them so that's why my instant came in the beginning but as we hit product market fit listening to customers was like the huge turning point so we would listen to like what what features they wanted what what actually more important what pain like what pains are they having like what am i what do i hate doing when i post a video here what do i hate doing downloading it reposting it etc so listening to customers pain points was like the honestly the most important thing and i have a really crazy story not a crazy story like a nice short story about that it was about tiktok when tiktok came out i guess it's been three four years now i'll lose track of time when it came out i avoided it it was like i'm not i'm not gonna watch like kids dancing that's not my scene right i'm avoiding tiktok but then realized that wait a second you know our our users our customers are most likely on tiktok so i got on tiktok started researching topics about content marketing and repurposing and stuff like that and then it's like i realized quickly that wait a second people are having a pain point here they're having trouble downloading their tiktoks without any watermarks because tiktok puts those watermarks on there and like posted them to other platforms and people were sharing all kinds of solutions and go here copy here paste here download here then upload here and i'm like thinking to myself wait a second that doesn't sound easy that sounds like a lot of work and i i just gotta be a better way and uh that's when i went to my team i said listen, let's pause what we're doing right now.
36Can we solve this problem? Can we automate this way of getting your TikToks onto other platforms without the watermark automatically? And we took on that challenge. And that was honestly probably one of the biggest features that we've released. It saw the big pain point, but also was a huge turning point in our business as well. It caught traction and people started talking about our solution on TikTok. Sometimes, Fire Nation, it only takes one great idea within your whole product suite of ideas to really get that traction you need to take it to the next level. We have a lot more to talk about around this topic when we get back from thanking our sponsors.
15Okay, let's talk about a platform that's completely changing how entrepreneurs are running their business, and they are also our featured partner, High Level. If you're an entrepreneur, coach, agency, or course creator looking to grow faster and smarter, High Level is the all-in-one platform that replaces your entire tech stack. That means recurring revenue, loyal clients, and total control. So whether you're tired of duct taping tools together or ready to start offering high value services with ease, high level is your unfair advantage. I mean, we can just really understand like what that must have looked like for you and how that was such a great benefit for your business. Give us another real story of a creator who went viral thanks to automated repurposing on your platform. Yeah. So again, I'll mention his name, but it's not an endorsement from him. He's a customer and his name is his most handle is carter pcs it's a very popular tiktoker and uh he kind of we you know we tracked his progress on youtube his goal was to get onto youtube so we tracked his progress from 2024 to 2025 and he's jumped from 241 000 followers or so prior to using repurpose to now over 1.6 million followers and all he did was literally turn on repurpose just told it to take all my tiktoks all his all his TikToks over to YouTube Shorts.
44And then, you know, pretty recently he made a video saying, hey, I got the golden play button, which is an award from YouTube when you get over a million subscribers. And he said, you know, here's what it looks like. I'm so excited. But he goes, but I feel kind of awkward because I feel like this is the fakest award ever because I've never logged into YouTube. I just have this tool that automatically takes my TikToks to YouTube. So it's an interesting story because people think when you repost your content you may not get traction it may not work they may uh you know content platforms don't like it that's you know from what we've seen over the years not true like i mean carter pc is a perfect example and then he also had another story he said i was at he was at a baseball game and he was sitting there and some kid walked up to him and he said hey hey you're that famous youtuber and then he's like oh yeah that's cool yeah then he paused for a second he's like wait a second i'm not even on youtube then he's like oh yeah i am on youtube because i use this tool that takes my content from tiktok to youtube so it's funny how like you you think that you're a tiktoker or a youtuber you know you're popular on one platform but you don't realize the potential the potential of being on other platforms and how like he got recognized for being the youtuber not the tiktoker so it's really i mean that's a whole different story but the whole point is you know diversifying is really really important you want to be where your audience is, not the other way around.
10I love that story for a lot of reasons. What does Carter, is it PCs? What does he do? He does like the tech videos. Sometimes he just talks about just anything tech, like, and they're short, like we're talking, you know, 60 seconds or less kind of videos. And he pumps up a lot of content. I would say five to seven videos a day. And sometimes he's just rambling about whatever. And just people love him. Like he's charismatic and he just has good content that's engaging and nothing fancy about it. Honestly, it's just him talking, but he just talks about what's relevant. He talks about just people resonate with it.
43He talks about things that happen in his life and mostly about tech, about tech things. But it's just a funny story how he just was a famous YouTuber. He didn't even know. He almost forgot that he was on YouTube. The automation was just happening in the background for him. I love that. Now, I can definitely understand with how people just start to resonate with certain, you know, titles they might even put on themselves. Like, oh, I'm a TikToker. I'm an Instagrammer. I'm a YouTuber. I'm a podcaster. I mean, for, you know, a long time, you know, still to this day, for sure. Like I consider myself a podcaster.
15I mean, I started in the podcasting niche. Like that's my main focus. Of course, I've got a decent Instagram following, a decent YouTube following, but it wasn't really until November of 2024 when I launched my first dedicated YouTube channel because it was a video first, like 10 to 15 minutes daily video about one specific company, one specific stock that I follow. And I wanted to just kind of basically report on it and just kind of share news on it, like a 24 hour update. And it wasn't really until I got on YouTube and really started at having some fun with it, I realized what an amazing platform that it is.
52And I definitely consider myself a YouTuber today. And you would ask me, if you asked me 10 months ago, I'd say, no, I'm really not. I'm a podcaster that just repurposes his content to YouTube and other places. But now I'm like, man, like the platform is so powerful. I love it. And I'm like screaming from the rooftops, like, look what you can do when you have the right topic, the right niche and the right consistency on the right platform, which for some people is TikTok, for some people is YouTube, for some people is Instagram, or a combination of a lot of those. So you shared that real story, which is pretty cool, because you believe that every video is actually a seed that's planted.
31So how can we and how should we be planting our seeds across every platform? Like I mentioned earlier, you want to be where your audience hangs out, but not the other way around. You don't want them to come look for you on one platform. You want to be everywhere so that wherever their favorite platform is, whether it's TikTok, Instagram, shorts, whatever, they find you there. So this allows you to, the goal here is you've got to create good content. That's always the recipe. If you don't have good content, if you're just rambling off about something that's not relevant or you're not engaging, people can't resonate with you, then that's the problem.
10If you try to do too much and not focus enough on creating good value, good content, you're going to lose out. So focus on creating good content. Post it to your favorite platform, whatever you like. People like to use a TikTok editor or Instagram Reels editor. It doesn't matter. Post it on one platform and then let an automation tool like repurpose.io take it from there and put it everywhere else for you. This kind of does two things. One, you're everywhere and you're across multiple platforms. People can find you. but also to, if for whatever reason, you get blocked, banned, shadow banned, whatever you want to call it on a certain platform, you're not losing your audience.
45You've already grown audiences across multiple platforms. Hey Andy, you shared a lot of value today. Congratulations on your growth, on how you figured out the life balance with work life. What's the one takeaway, the one thing that you would really want our listeners to get from our entire conversation today? You want to be everywhere. You want to be where your audience hangs out. you want to put your content everywhere. And at the same time, you want to be living your life at the same time. You don't want to be focused on doing manual repetitive tasks. So build in systems, build in automation and use tools and automation and AI to help you be everywhere to grow your audience without any burnout.
25And if Fire Nation wants to connect with you or they want to maybe check out what you have going on at repurpose.io, what's your call to action for Fire Nation today?
