0:01Light that spark fire nation. JLD here and welcome to Entrepreneurs on fire brought to you by high level, the all-in-one sales and marketing platform. On today's episode, we'll be talking about how to turn passion into profits. To drop these value bombs, I brought Jazz into EO Fire Studios. Jazz is an accomplished Canadian entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and lifestyle influencer. He launched his first business at the age of 12 and has since founded and reinvented a variety of successful companies. In today's foundation, we talk about how limitless means you can achieve anything and everything you set your mind to, how to evaluate your friends and And stick with the people who inspire you and learn from them.

0:37Surround yourself with the right people and oh so much more. And a big thank you for sponsoring today's episode goes to Jazz and our sponsors. Are you ready for the ultimate all-in-one platform for entrepreneurs, marketers, coaches, and agencies? Build funnels, automate follow-ups, manage clients, and even white-label your own software. Say hello to our featured partner, High Level, and visit highlevelfire.com to start your free trial today. Jazz, say what's up to Fire Nation and share something that you believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with. First of all, thanks for having me on here.

1:20Yeah. One of the things I would say about being successful, maybe not so just that most people disagree with or probably don't even think about or realize is that, first of all, you have to identify what is your definition of success. You know, for everybody, it's different. For some people, it's countless amounts of dollars, which will lead to no satisfaction in the end. And, you know, you have to identify what makes you want to be successful and find your purpose. Because when you find your purpose and you find out why you want what you want and what makes you, you know, what will give you that feeling of satisfaction, make you happy in the end, that's what will allow you to drive you to becoming the most successful version of yourself that you can be.

2:10so and that's very important because if you don't if you don't find that part you know you'll you'll be chasing um be going around chasing and like an empty it'll be a dead end in the end like you'll keep going and going and doesn't matter what you have how much you have you just won't be satisfied and without satisfaction there's no success right it's that feeling that if you want to feel great you want to feel happy you want to feel that you did it you achieved something that you want but what is it that you want? So that's the part that most people got to think about first before getting on that path and it'll help you get to the destination that you want in the end.

2:45Fire Nation, just remember that a million miles an hour in the wrong direction will take you a million miles in the wrong direction. So no matter how fast you're going, if you don't know where you're going, it's not going to be what you're looking for. Now you launched a business at a very young age, Jazz. Tell us about this journey. You know, I've been into computers and web designing, web mastering, pretty much a webmaster. Started in 96, right when the internet was first available to the public. And I didn't really know quite what I was doing. I was just, you know, figuring things out on IRC chat lines, looking at website builders.

3:29I just fell into it. And, you know, writing articles, posting news related to certain sports and things of that nature. I started a business out of it and also designing graphics, logos for people in chat rooms. I used to get paid by money orders. And like I said, I didn't quite know what I was doing in the beginning, but a couple of years into it, it turned into a full-blown business where I was earning a lot of money every month off of ad revenue. And, you know, that's what allowed me to build that site and just eventually understand that, you know, this is my passion that for me running, you know, having different businesses after getting into different industries, learning new things from there was almost like playing video games.

4:16Now, one thing that I'm just really kind of curious about is doing some research about your journey and getting some information from your team and going through this is you experienced not just a little bit, but significant weight gain as a teenager. I think it's really important because a lot of us go through different cycles in our lives with various things and you're very open and vocal about this. So talk to us about how that specifically happened, how you evolved into taking control of not just your physical health, but your mental health as well. Because that's something that doesn't get talked about a lot, but that's important aspect of what you went through.

4:58Correct. So, you know, when I was in high school, that's when I was making a lot of money at a young age. And of course, when you have, you know, at that time, no, not many people had, you know, it's not like in today's generation where you have influencers and all this stuff where everybody's making twenty thirty thousand dollars a month that has a you know high profile on Instagram or TikTok or things like that right so I got into a lot of different circles I was I had a lot of friends but at the same time I didn't have a lot of friends because one thing is when you have money you know you can you can buy your friends you can buy people want to be around you because you're you know you're spending money on them you're taking everybody to restaurants movies you know having limousines pick you up every day from school so people just want to naturally hang around with you, right?

5:45When you're, when you're giving. And that's been part of my problem. A lot of my life has been just giving, giving, giving without, you know, without either just not knowing the boundaries of that. And part of what I did was eventually over time, I sacrificed my personal life because I got so hooked on making money and getting, you know, sitting on the computer and just working and not moving around and not having smartphones back then where you can manage your business from the road and such that I gained a lot of weight. And when I gained a lot of weight, although I didn't have any worries in the world, I didn't really think I was overweight.

6:21I didn't really know the difference because there was no social connecting between people. There was no Facebook. There was no Instagram, none of that. I realized that I had no life and that's when I wanted to switch things around. But it's definitely a mental thing more than a physical because I have to, number one, I have to want it. I had to, I had to want to lose the weight. I had to want a different life change and then want to learn that, you know, what, what's going to make me happy. And what I wanted to do was build a life I didn't need a vacation from. So do things that can eventually motivate, inspire, empower others to believe in themselves, to want to achieve what they set their mind to and get into industries, which are fun and that are timeless.

7:07And, uh, you know, that, that I could, I don't have to necessarily feel like I'm working all the time. And I think this is a very important evolution to really understand Fire Nation that, you know, this is going to be the process where sometimes when people think they're at their most successful side of things on business, they're actually at their least successful side of things on health and wellness. And it's actually kind of interesting jazz. Like, I don't know if you ever do something like this, but every year I do what I call word of the year for me. And so last year, my word of the year was breathe.

7:41To just like take a moment to relax and to breathe when, you know, things kind of seem to get a little intense. This year though, my word has been balance because I did find myself oddly getting out of balance when it came to my work, health, relationship, fill in the blank. And you can't be, you know, a 10 out of 10 on everything, but you know, you can have a goal of being like a seven or an eight out of 10 on a lot of things that are important to you in life. And so that was a really big kind of revelation for me and Fire Nation. We're going to be talking about some really important things with Limitless when we get back from thanking our sponsors.

Paid for by public investing. full disclosures in podcast description. So Jazz, your new way of living has fueled this profound passion to start a health and wellness focused brand that you call Limitless. Tell us about this transition.

11:59Limitless is you can achieve anything and everything that you set your mind to. you know become limitless be limitless be the best you know be the ultimate version of yourself that's what it signifies and from a business standpoint it's limitless industries right so it doesn't matter what industry we're in we we're you know doing direct to consumer we sell products right so down the road we have let's say a million two million three million customers right those same those same customers are humans they're people they buy anything they can buy sunglasses, they can buy shoes, they can buy clothes, they can buy food.

12:38So overall, it's just data. It's that you, you know, you get yourself into, you start off something as one thing, and eventually you just expand it into 5, 10, 15, 20 different things, right? But it has to be a starting point to it. And the whole core focus of this, when I started it was, it was an Empower Lifestyle Empowerment Agency where we like people believe we give people the power to based off of my story as such that hey they see hey he did it I can do it too and it's all about empowerment all about everyone everyone has a story and the problem most of the times is that we have there's a fear of either sharing the story with the wrong person and getting criticized or not knowing how to take that step forward, having fear of failure.

13:29But if you don't fail, if you don't take that step forward, you know, you're never going to learn and you're never going to progress, right? So my goal with Limitless is to make it global as a household brand name and, you know, launch a series of products, services, things like that, alongside with the message that, hey, you can accomplish whatever it is that you're looking to accomplish, but you got to stay focused. Now, you worked with Dr. Oz's nonprofit to address health inequities in at-risk communities, which is pretty powerful. So what exactly did you do and what results did you achieve?

14:11One of the things with Dr. Oz, I mean, number one, he's a household brand. When people look at, think of wellness, they think, you know, Dr. Oz and stuff that he recommends and speaks about, it usually gains a lot of traction, right? So Dr. Oz has a separate, you know, organization called Health Corps where they work with kids, schools, all kinds of different things related to health, wellness, and, you know, well-being and for kids to just see, you know, think and see and have a better future, right? So the type of events and stuff that I participate in behind the scenes, and some of which we haven't even done yet, we're still planning, is to provide that fuel, help the kids with staying on the right track.

15:00Or if they want to achieve a certain goal, help them get to that certain goal. Same thing we want to do is nutrition for kids. And then, again, it comes back to my story as when, you know, the kids look at it and say, okay, well, you know, this guy from at 10, 11, 12, started at XYZ, could have, you know, went sideways in his life 10 times over, but stayed on course, stayed focused. And even today, having a lot of relationships and close friends with a lot of influential people, I'm still able to keep one foot in that world and one foot in the real world and not get distracted or sidetracked and, you know, let go of my goal or dream or whatever it is that I'm working towards instead of getting, you know, lost in the sauce with all the stuff that goes on on the side.

15:47So the key with the health corps is just to provide more awareness and help the youth and help them, the organization as well, to doing different things, which gives more of a brighter future to the kids. Well, I love your message, Jazz. I love the mission that you're on. I mean, it's so impactful for so many. If you could just say one key takeaway that you really want to make sure our listeners get from our entire conversation today, what would that one key takeaway be? Evaluate your friends or people who you think are your friends and stay around people that inspire you. Stay around people that you learn from and you have no choice but to keep going forward in your life.

16:39So I would say my biggest advice I give people is that just, you know, it's not about the quantity of people. It's about the quality and trying to surround yourself with the right people that actually have your best interests at heart. Jazz, how can we connect with you? How can Fire Nation learn more about what you have going on, become more involved with what you have going on? Maybe you participate. Any call to action you have, any URL, let us know now. I only have one social media profile. profile. It's Instagram. So it's Instagram. Limitless is my handle on there. That's pretty much the, that would, I would say is pretty much the best way to follow my journey or to connect, or if you have any questions or I need any advice or things like that.
