In short

Summer dating recap framed as “hot girl summer,” with stories about flakiness, ghosting, and “high-vibration” boundaries; also includes dating mindset advice (keep dating multiple people, shift from macro relationship goals to micro fun) and a few “new ick” observations (e.g., grown men requesting GLP-1s).

Guests

Amanda Thomas (host/guest; LA-based; 38; discusses cosmetic fine-tuning/filler and “hot” birthday theme; shares multiple dating stories) and Pia (co-host; gives advice; shares a New York “Brett” story and other dating guidance). No other guests appear.

Key claims

Dating is fun and should be normalized; don’t fixate on one person—go on other dates to stay sane; fun helps manifestation; disrespect gets “roasted”; new ick unlocked includes men asking for Ozempic/GLP-1 and sending bizarre apology messages.

Notable examples

“Timber” (British director/older filmmaker flaking on dates, sending one Crumbl chocolate chip cookie, later asking for Ozempic in a suitcase, then canceling a London trip); “Brett” (NYC man with bizarre nicknames, inconsistent job claims, weird texts, and a pixelated Pinterest-style apology image).

0:14Okay, let's fucking go, Amanda. Let's fucking go. I posted yesterday, I was like, coming back on PSPod. Everyone's like, yes, dude. I didn't even post it because I was like, we're going to be overwhelmed. I got the perfect amount of questions and also just like, I can't wait to hear bitch. So, okay, let's. So we had lunch and you told these some things. Usually we raw dog these. Yeah, usually we do. But we had that super fun impromptu Jones on third lunch. Yeah, I like we're doing the summer recap. Yeah, we're doing some green and summer. is not done. When people talk about when August comes and people start talking about fall and I have you seen pumpkin spice?

1:02I'm being targeted for pumpkin spice protein shakes. I hated school so much that the end of summer started giving me so much anxiety and it's like really it triggers that for me. Yeah. But I think that summer starts at like stagecoach and it's Did you see that from Maria? Yeah. She was like it starts Summer starts at stagecoach and ends would you say Paris Fashion Week? Yeah, because that's the last Fashion Week. I think that's fair. So we have through September. We do. Also, it's my birthday next week, and so summer's still raging. So Amanda sent a birthday invitation. Would you like a problem?

1:40I've never... By the way, how old are you turning? 38. Okay. This is what we all... If any of you are younger, and you're like... I saw some girl on TikTok the other day that was like, I'm 26, and I'm starting to panic that I'm getting old. Oh, my God. No, you just, it keeps getting better. This is what, fuck, I can't pop it up. I know what it is. The theme is. I wanted to read it out loud. Oh, here I have it. Oh, I'll grab it. What's that? Partiful. Partiful. Can we all just stick to one thing? I know. Because now I have paperless posts and partiful. Here it is. You can do a dramatic reading of my birthday invite.

2:15Who did these graphics? Curry. Okay, so it's a, shout out to Jessica Curry. It's a cherry on fire. it says Mandy's red hot birthday you are invited for red hot Mandy summer theme be hot yeah it's Mandy's birthday and somehow she's just hotter than last year scientists are baffled dermatologists have quit SPF sales are through the roof dress code be hot emotionally spiritually physically or just delusional because nothing says I love you Mandy like sweating through a synthetic outfit in late summer i have to give credit where credit is to curry wrote that she's good but i was like that's he's like yes yes all of it spf sales are through the roof and scientists are baffled okay let's get into it let's get into it well what man in la is quivering in his boots right now that we're talking about it i was like i was like is it so like low vibrational like come on your podcast and rip dudes.

3:17But then it's the opposite. It's the opposite. And also, if you if you're disrespectful to me, you will you're going to get roasted. Yeah. So sorry. If you show me respect, I'm going to say nice. I'll tell you what's low vibrational. There was this fucking dork when I was in New York in the early 2000s that like was also a DJ. I don't even know. I would love to see what he's fucking doing now. And he used to write like a blog. He would like fuck girls and then write about it on his blog spot. and he would say mean things about them. That's really bad. I know. Bad juju. He probably has a bald patch on his head.

3:52100. And I think that he's probably like single and alone somewhere in like a weird town outside of Los Angeles. That's not cool. That's not my vibe. No. This is a high vibrational podcast. This is high vibrational. I came prepared today. I have got, there's two men getting roasted on the spigot today. But it's so worth it. But I asked followers like, what questions do you have for me and Pia? and I feel like I just want to start by saying this I want to say that dating is fun and life is fun yes like that's how we got to reprogram it is I swear to god like I hope people leave listening to this and they're like oh fuck yeah like I got this I'm telling you I don't know why all these single girls are like in this this like like lacking headspace I get it it gets it's pretty it's pretty tough out there like I'm I'm a tough bitch and I feel like I can take a lot especially with dating but I just like keep like climbing back on the horse and like I will say after this summer like shout out to some of these boys I've been on dates with my faith in men is restored oh I mean that I've had some of like the most wonderful like straight up core memories this summer like this is the summer I'm going to remember when I'm like writing my horny girl memoir at some point or like developing my Netflix show.

5:13But isn't it amazing that it's not a summer from your 20s? We've had so much emphasis on our 20s. I am hotter than I've ever been. You know what my mother said to me the other day? What? Dead ass. What? I went to dinner with my children and we are drinking Marg's. Uh-huh. Shout out to True Foods, my favorite healthy restaurant chain because there's not in that in the... True Foods Kitchen. Yum. Fantastic. Yum. Great skinny margarita there. Okay, noted. My mom looks at me. I think we were looking like an old photo, which like my face, it looks like I've had full plastic surgery. Like I have a very real before and after, but I haven't done anything.

5:50No, you look so beautiful. So my mom looked at me and goes, you've done a really good job of fine tuning your look. From the woman who created you, that is literally the highest of compliments. It was like, I agree. But what a, like, am I traumatized from that comment or we're just two gals and she is like loving and real with me? You should be inspired by it because I think only time will tell. And it has us figure out like what hair color are we supposed to have? What hair cut? Like how much like, you know, stuff are we? It looks like I've had full plastic surgery on my face. No, you look so good.

6:32I tell you this. You pulled this up. You were drunk that wet night where you were. You were drunk, you fucking bitch. And we were looking at old photos and we were like, damn, we're so much hotter now. And you were like, wait, you're so much hotter now than you used to be. Like, look at this vote. You were like, you look. No, I'm like, but you have. You've gotten like exponentially hotter. Thank you. Sometimes you stop me in my tracks on if I'm like scrolling on IG stories. I'm like, Jesus. But it was it's minor. You know, I've only it's only minor injections. I agree. I will get a facelift. For sure.

7:07Because I've seen women in their 40s. Steven Levine, New York. Wait, someone else. That's where we're going. Dr. Chang in LA, apparently. It's just like unbelievable too. I know. I will. I don't need it now. Yeah, but getting older is like the best. This is my new filler that I got that we could talk about really quick before we talk about boys because this started getting really jowly. And so she put filler in here and then put a tip of filler at the end of my chin. Stunning. like great do it weeks mona from fine tune seal is the fine tuner fine tuner fine tune okay let's get into it yeah i mean we'll get well we're gonna get into the bad stories but in general like this summer has been it's just been straight up fun it's been like non-stop kisses non-stop martinis i've like skinny dipped in a hot tub where i got my feet rubbed at a at like a dinner I heard about that.

8:04Where did you skinny dip? At my house. Oh, you have the, yeah, great. I skinny dipped with my husband and we had sex in our community. That's so fun. Like I was. Bring back skinny dipping. And I was like. Bring it back. I totally was like, I, 12 year old me is dying right now. I love that. I know, it was really cool. I made someone meet me in Paris for my third date. Cool. That was romantic. I like literally saw the sun come up twice because I was like having the best time like talking and kissing someone. Like core memories. Like good stuff. You don't do that with a husband. I mean, I could, but there's just children now.

8:39That's really cool.

8:49I am always so excited to share that this podcast is sponsored by The RealReal, the best place to shop authenticated luxury bags, clothing, watches, and so much more. I literally just sent a text message to the angel that works at the real rail who comes here at this point kind of like bi-monthly and collects all the clothes that I'm no longer wearing and guess what I do I use the credit from all the clothes that I sell on the rear wheel to buy more stuff because you know what I'm obsessed with a lot of things that are on the real rail like like Manolo's, like Dolce & Gabbana, like Brock Collection, my favorite brand that is no longer available anywhere.

9:33They went out of business, but they're all over the RealReal. And my bank account also loves the RealReal. Let's be real. We need to be saving money on the pieces that we love. Not all of us, not many people can afford these things full price. And on the RealReal, there are 10 ,000 new items every day. They do daily drops at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. EST. The RealReal is attainable luxury that upgrades your personal style because you're going to get 90 % off retail. 11:29Summer started off on like, actually a porno. So we're going to get into that. This story is called Timber. I love that you named the stories. Okay, Timber. I don't think you know this one. I don't know this one. This is so good. this story is called Timber. This story, this story spans three years. I don't know anything about this. Okay. So post-divorce, I matched with this guy on Hinge. He is... People love Hinge. His nickname in my crew is British director. Okay. He's an older British director. I know a little bit about this. Yes. So we dated, I was living in the Palisades at the time. We dated, he was in town, like filming.

12:07We met, we had our first date at Portavia and the Palisades first kiss in the underground parking lot at Caruso. Oh, it's kind of, I'm like, not very sexy. But yeah, we had, like, we dated for, you know, a couple weeks while he was in town. Overall, like, he was brilliant and like smart and so successful and like also like just tall, like six, six, like hot and tall. But Jesus Christ, he was a flake. Like he would constantly be like changing the days of our dates, like pushing things. He'd be like, oh, drinks at eight, actually nine, actually 10. I was like, it was brutal. But I was kind of like, I was a lot more insecure back then.

12:46So I would just kind of let it fly. But also I feel like it's okay for that if you're like not deep. Like if you're like, I just want to have sex at some point tonight. I was delusional back then. I was like, maybe this man will be my boyfriend, which is like insane. Yeah. I agree with you. If it's like not that deep who cares but yeah so anyways we we dated and then anytime we come into town we'd hang and then then I got a boyfriend so things like fizzled out but he'd like check in every four to five months like hey are you single I'm like no so cut to this year my house burns down in the palisades and you became the most popular girl in the world all the exes yep and so he was one of the people that checked in and he was like oh my god are you okay I'm like actually my house burned down and like that like him and I had spent time there so he's like oh my god I'm so sorry he's like I'm actually coming to LA I'd love to take you out and I was like yep I I'm taking totally I'm taking dinner invites right now so yes so yes so I see him when he comes into town and it just like we picked up where we left off it's like such a vibe it was so much fun so I saw him a couple times and then he's like all right he's like I'm coming back to LA he had a huge movie this year Like actually full theatrical release.

14:05And he's like, I'm coming back. I'm doing press tour. Staying at the Four Seasons right by your house. Like we're going to spend the whole week together. Like this man is making promises. Okay. I'm like, great. You didn't ask for any of these things. I love they do that. Yeah. Did not ask for any promises. Okay, whatever. Then he comes to town. He misses his flight, gets there late. I'm like, okay. We make plans for night one. That's aggressive. He blows them off. Okay. Then we make full-blown plans for night two. He texts me at 3 p.m. I'm really tired. Then texts me at 11 p.m. He missed the date.

14:43He just missed the whole thing. So I wrote him and I was like, this is literally unacceptable. I'm good. I'm really fucking busy. You are too. Have a nice week. He starts freaking out like, oh my God, no, no, no, no, no. know. And I'm like, no, like you're, that's a wrap. Are you kidding me? You used to do this shit to me back in the day. You're still doing it again. This is insane. He literally like did not show up to the date. I had a feeling, so I didn't go. So he starts going on and on and on. So I block him. Oh, I block him. It was too much. I had too much going on that week. So I blocked him.

15:22Then I wake up one morning to a delivery of crumble cookies at my doorstep. First of all, am I a teenager? Second of all, do you know about crumble cookies? Do you know like the lore? Does he have like a 14-year-old assistant and he was like, please send something nice? He has a 19-year-old daughter that clearly loves crumble cookies and he thought that because I'm kind of close to her age, I would like crumble cookies. Babe, also, do you know the lore of crumble cookies where they have like crazy shit in them? There's like M &M's, Snicker bars, whatever. I open the box. Is it all the same flavor?

15:56One cookie. and it's chocolate chip. He got you one chocolate chip cookie? He got me one single chocolate chip cookie from Crumble to say sorry. That's weird. So weird. Was there a note? So weird. No note. I don't think he, like, understands. I think he messed it up. So then, like, the week goes by. We get to Friday, and then I just was like, oh, God, I forgot to mention this. I only blocked him on WhatsApp. He starts texting me. I'm an idiot. He starts texting me, and then I was like, look, this is so dramatic. Yeah. So I ended up calling him and I was like, hey, look, I'm like, no hard feelings.

16:31Like you blew me off. It's not cool. Like I'm I don't accept that. Like, also, you made all these promises. You didn't keep it. No one at no one like put a gun to your house. I know I don't want to speak with me. Whatever. And the crumble cookie was nice. But like one singular chocolate chip. That's crazy, babe. Like, what did you click on the Postmates app? I don't know. So I'm I'm a softie. And then he begged and pleaded. And he's like, please, please, please. Can I take you to drinks to say sorry? I was like, okay, fine. So we go to drinks. He's like trauma dumping on me, like telling me all the reasons why he hasn't been able to show up for me.

17:07And then he Hail Marys and he's like, I think I want to be with you. Oh, you know, oh God, I don't know this story. Yeah. And I'm like - Because we've had, I remember we had lunch like months and months and months ago. This must've been during this because you were like, he's coming back. And you were like excited. Yeah, because we had so much fun after the fires. Like we had the best time. So him saying that to you is crazy. So I was like, look, dude, I go, I don't believe you. Yeah. You can you can try. He's like, no, no, no. I'm being incredibly earnest. Like I've been thinking about it. Like you're the type of girl I want to be with.

17:42Like I want to pursue things. I'm like, OK, let's fucking go. OK. So then I was coming to London like pretty soon afterwards. So he's like, all right, we're going to plan a whole thing. Like I'm getting us like a hotel room. We love Love Island. So he's like, we're literally going to like lay in robes, like stay in bed all day, like order room service, watch Love Island. I'm like, yes, this is the best. So we're texting. And then he goes, I can't, I can't shift the timber. And I'm like, what does that mean? And he's like, he's like, I'm really packing on the pounds. He's like an older man. Is this like a, this is British like we don't know.

18:20And I'm like, okay. And he goes, can you bring me Ozempic spelled incorrectly? ozempic with a K on the end. And I'm like, oh my God. Oh my God. I'm like, he doesn't have an assistant for this. Dude, new ick unlocked. Like a grown man asking you for ozempic. He said, I'm packing. I can't what the timber? I can't shift the timber. Why are we not saying this all the time? I can't shift the timber vibes. I was like, okay. So he's like, can you bring me ozempic with a K? And I'm like, okay. So does he not work know that it has to say cold? I don't know, dude. I don't know. And I was like, sure, sure.

19:00Did you have to like buy the diabetes kit on Amazon and like cold pack it over? I literally got it uncompounded so I could compound it there, like travel. So I was like, how much do you want? And he's like, how much do I need? I'm like, I mean, three months. So I pack this man. You went from having like a sexy, let's do this to being like 10 years into marriage. But also that's so nice of me. I packed and paid for three months of, three months of Ozempic. Did you ask to be reimbursed? No, because it's like, it's like in my head, I was like, it's coming out on the wash. Like he's tweeting me to like a week in London.

19:35You know what I mean? Like whatever. So I get to Paris first and then he texts me and he goes, I'm so sorry, Amanda. I have to cancel. I'm like, cancel what? Yeah, which day? Cancel what? The whole week, dog? The whole thing. I'm like, are you kidding me? And he's like, I'm so sorry. I have a family emergency, blah, blah, blah. And he's like, yeah, right? I'm like, what are you talking about? Then he tells me, he goes, actually, I was going to surprise you, take you to Wimbledon. But my daughter is my assistant. And I like put you in my calendar as something secret. She then wanted she saw Wimbledon.

20:25She wanted to go. It ended up being this whole crazy lie. So he's like, now I'm taking my kids to Wimbledon. And I was like, cool. So I'll like see you after. Yeah, you're like, it's one event. I'll see you after. And it's also like in London. Yeah. And he's like, I can't. I'm like, you can't tell his kids he's dating. I don't know what is happening. Like he's like, he's just a liar. Like he's a liar. Yeah. So then I write him back. And I say, what am I doing with all this Ozumbic? Did you spell it correctly or with the K? I spelled it correctly. I said, what am I doing with all this Ozumbic? He writes, oh, I forgot.

20:58Do you mind posting it to me? Oh. He asked me to ship it to him. And I said, I'll put as much effort into shipping your Ozumbic as you did to see me in London. Oh, you said that? Mm-hmm. Fire. What did he say? He said fair. Yeah. And then I got a couple drinks in me and I went crazy on him. And I was like, yeah, you are a fucking asshole. Yeah, cool. So, yeah, then I got a, I actually got an apology this week. I got a one month later full-blown apology. This is only a month ago? Yeah. Yeah. You said beginning of summer. I'm like, we're in April. Well, I guess like Wimbledon-ish. Yeah. It was crazy.

21:35So he's like clipped for life. Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry. Clipped for life, but the new Ick Unlocked is a man asking for GLP-1. It's crazy. In my suitcase, babe. I had like needles in my suitcase. I had like bacterium water. Also, they don't have it in London? I think it's like hard. It's like obviously incredibly easy to get here. Yeah, you just sneeze and somebody's like, oh, you need a Zemek. Actually, I'm like telling people, I'm like, I don't. I'm like, I don't need. Like I have more like incoming inquiries for it where I'm like, I don't need it. It was so crazy. So that was like, that was not.

22:12That was not a good one. No. So the next one's like, this one's like fun and crazy. Okay. Then it takes a really like wild turn. So I was in New York this summer. I had been dating someone who I told you about. I'm not going to say who it is because he also, he wasn't like, he didn't like do me dirty. I was dating someone in New York and like got full-blown ghosted by like someone I was dating, like full-blown. So crazy. That one really stung. And so I had like one night left in New York and I was on the phone with my mom. My mom's like, gas up the Raya. Your mom. She's like, gas it up. Your mom.

22:55She's like, take it for a spin. Your mom. You're right. She's like, it's you last night. Australians are just different. Yeah. Australians are just fun. Like your mom is a different breed of person. Okay, go ahead. I was just like down. I don't know. I was like down bad, not feeling great. She's right. That's what you do. Yeah, she's like, go have a cute boy take you out for drinks. Like, you're in another city, whatever. So, gas up the riot. How hot is everyone in New York? There's hot men everywhere. Beyond, you know what else is so great? What? Also, this is a good tip for the girls. If you're, like, not loving dating in the city you're in, literally plan a trip with friends, whatever.

23:27Go one day early or stay one day late and gas up the hinge of the riot. Go on a random date. It just feels, like, fresh and new. Absolutely. And, like, so low pressure because you're like, I don't live here. I don't live here, whatever.

27:06So anyways, I match with this guy. We're going to call him Brett. Okay. I match with Brett. He asked me on a same-day date. Love that. That's also very New York energy. Very. our first date I wish I had the cameras on me it was like I was like am I on like a Bravo episode it was so like like chaotic and like crazy and like the things that came out of this man's mouth I wrote them down okay I wrote them down where where did he take you we went to SVB oh to the rooftop the new one is it gorgeous yeah it's at the Jane Hotel I know I haven't been there it was so much time with the jeans stunning and like new york summer was it was such a vibe so okay these are quotes from our date are you writing these down as they're happening i wrote them down when i got in the taxi on the ride home okay so i was like these need to stick fresh in my head he sits down first of all he's 15 minutes late he sits down and he goes the city's wackadoodle today wackadoodle is one of the first words come out of his mouth then i'm like asking him a question about himself and he's like, I'm just a crazy little pickle.

28:17I'm like, I don't know. Like, I don't know what, I don't know what that means. Angelina was laughing at that one. A crazy little pickle? I don't know what that means. How old is he? 43. Oh yeah. Okay. Crazy little pickle. Then at one point, oh, he, when he hugged me within the first, actually, this is like the first thing that was said. He hugged me and he goes, oh my God, you're tiny. Like a hobbit under the bridge. And I was like, are you calling me a hobbit? And he's like, no, like in a good way. Polly Pocket would have been cuter, but thank you. Polly Pocket, yeah. Thank you for a hobbit under the bridge.

28:51And then like towards the end of the day. He's cheeky. He's like, oh my God, this man is so fucking cheeky. Halfway through the date, he just starts calling me Johnny. He'll be like, he's like, I'm gonna cut you off, Johnny. And I was like. Wait, I love him. Right? I was like, actually, I was like, who the fuck's Johnny? And he's like, you're Johnny. and he goes, I'm Johnny. So then the whole, he's fun. He's so fun. This man was like, I was like, where's he from? He's from, he's from New York. He's from Jersey. I was like, this man's either like a sociopath or like this is like the most fun thing in life.

29:23No, he's so fun. Also, he's gorgeous. Ooh. Gorge. Then towards the end of the date, I was like, I had to shoot the next day. And I was like, I really like gotta go. Like, I gotta go by midnight. And he's like, girl, you got Cinderella syndrome. And I was like, what's that? And he's like, you turn into a pumpkin at midnight. Cinderella syndrome is so cute. And then I was asking him, like, we were talking about like our life philosophies. And he's like, I don't live a Pepperidge Farm basic ass life. And I was like, is he like a rapper? I was like, don't. I was like, also don't degrade Pepperidge Farm.

29:56I was like, I make like incredible artisanal cookies, like a Milano cookie. Remember when a Milano cookie was in your - It was a really big deal. In middle school, in your lunch bag, like straight up artisanal. It was a really big deal. So anyways, this man was like so, so funny. Oh, and then at the end we kissed and he goes, you got nice lips, kiddo. Like after our kiss. That would make my vagina tingle. So we leave, we leave the date. I'm leaving the next day. He texts me. He's like, what time is your shoot done? I'm like five. But I was like, I'm literally getting in the car. I get down to my checkout at my hotel.

30:26He's sitting there in the lobby. Fire. Just to give me a kiss and put my bags in the car. No, I would have extended my flight right there and had an adventure. I was like, you know what? I just got ghosted by someone I was full-blown dating. Yeah. I met this. I met Johnny last night. Mm-hmm. And he came to my hotel room. That's really cool. He came to my hotel lobby just to give me a kiss and put my bags in the car. Really cool. So I was like, love this. Okay. So what ensued after that was about like a month and a half of some of the most psychotic text messages of my life. I'm going to read these to you.

31:02What? These are nicknames I was given through the duration of our text history. Peppermint Patty. Keebler Elf. Mama Bear. Speed Racer. Miss Robotical BB. Why does he talk like this? Sweet Pea. Cute. Little Munchie. I like Little Munchie. You do? Yeah, because you love like a little bite and you love tastes. I do. And you're like always ordering food and you like love food. And you are like kind of like a munchie. Like every time you have a night out, you order food. It's waiting for you when you get home. He told me I was like a cucumber because he said I'm crisp and delicious and complex, but can also be used in a simple salad.

31:47I need to know who his family is. And I want to see what a family dinner is like. Like where all this came from. I need context with group of friends or family members. Okay, so here's where... Did you ever have sex with him or this is all over text message? We're going to get to this. Because does he say weird stuff when you're fucking? I'm dying. We're going to answer this. Okay, so obviously we have the one crazy date. And then we just start texting. And I was like, this is kind of, I think it's a vibe. I was like, I don't know if this is love bombing or like, I don't know what's happening.

32:15I don't know either. I don't know what's happening. Keebler off like, I'm a man Patty. I don't know what's happening. But this is fun. So then I start doing my regular girly like interrogation behind the scenes. My like Nancy Drew. I put my Nancy Drew cap on. My Carmen San Diego has come to the table. I know we have mutuals, so I start asking around. On our date, Brett said that he was in the industry in Hollywood. He said he was like a movie producer. Okay. He lives in New York. Okay. Right. Then I asked my mutual friend. I was like, oh, what's up with this guy? And she's like, he's a club promoter.

32:52I was like, what? And she's like, I don't know. And then she was like, he lives with his mom. And I was like, what? So then as we're talking, he's spending a lot of time with his mom. So then I was like, do you have roommates? He's like, no, I live by myself. So he claims he lives by himself. Then at one point he's like, oh yeah, I'm opening a restaurant. I'm like, you're opening a restaurant. And then I'm like, can you break it down for me? I'm like, what? what is like what jobs do you have where chase checking deposits go to your account do you know what I mean I was like how do doll hairs enter your savings account like just break it down like what do you do because I know that I mean there's so many people in LA and New York that are like multi-hyphenates you know it's like yeah you you're like you have literally three jobs I mean I have one no but this is a very like I do this but like when you find out I just was like What do you do?

33:49The door to the club. Oh, my God. I forgot to mention. I looked him up on LinkedIn, and it said he's head of a model agency. Okay. So now we have lots of different things. So I'm like, what do you do? That's not multi-hyphenated. He's like, I used to be a club promoter. I'm not anymore. I used to do the model thing. Not anymore. He's like, I'm opening a restaurant. I'm a restaurant partner. Well, I'm like, okay, whatever. So he's coming to LA for like a movie deal meeting. So he's like, I'm going to see you soon. He really starts to amp it up. And he's like, we're going to be together. I kind of was like, you don't know me.

34:23Do you know what I mean? We've been on one date and we've kissed once. Like, you don't know me. Yeah, no. So I kept saying that to him. I was like, this is fun. I'm having fun. But like, we don't know each other. Then he starts asking me. He goes, starts asking me hypotheticals. He's like, question for you. He's like, what if a man had no money, but helped you 10x your business, would you pay for that? And I was like, is this hypothetical? And he's like, strictly hypothetical. You get like DMs like this from troll accounts. I'm going to 10x your business. I go, so hypothetically, you have no money, but you've 10x my business.

35:06I go, if you are smart enough to 10x my business. Yeah, where's your... I go, you're smart enough to have your own money, but no, I'm not paying for you because I don't want to pay for a man. Because that's your one thing that you don't want to do because you've done it. I've done it before. I don't want to do it again. We're not doing that. I was like, I have 0.0 repeating interest in paying for a man. Like 0.0. Did you say that? Yeah. I said, I will pay for me. And then of course, like, I'm not going to like nickel and dime someone, but I'm not paying for a man. and he goes Jesus Catholic nun and I was like Catholic nun he's like I'm like that's really like mean that's so mean and he's like no he's like you have like a stick up your ass and I was like because I won't bankroll a broke man that's 10xing my business that's never that's not a thing that's not a thing that's not gonna happen it was like this is so weird so I was like not into that so we yeah this is a giant red flag huge red flag also yeah so anyways He was like future planning.

36:09Yeah, he comes to L.A. Did you let him see your house? Yeah, we didn't even get there. I walked out of our date. I've never done that in my life. What do you do? I see him. I haven't seen him in like five, six weeks. We've been like talking a bunch. I see him. I meet him at Tower Bar for a martini. Get there. He gives me a hug. He immediately goes, I know you. I can read you. He's like, you're jaded? because you're closed off. He's like, you're hardened. And I had like just gotten there and I was like, we're done. I said, I did not come here to get roasted. I was like, I'm, I was like, I'm already like having a hard day.

36:51I go, you don't know me. I go, you don't know me. I was like, I don't know what the shtick is right now where you're trying to like pretend like you, pretend like you can read me and like, you know, but like you actually see my soft heart, whatever. I'm like, you don't know me. And I'm like, if you talk to people who are close to me in my life. No one would ever describe you that way. It's just not who I am right now. I'm actually like incredibly open. I've been like. You don't need to defend anything that doesn't need to be defended. For sure. But I'm like, yeah, it's not the case. And I'm good.

37:19Bye. So I literally bounced. I left my martini there. I didn't even finish it. Sad. Delicious martini. Do you go home after this? Or you're like, I got to meet somebody else. Oh, God, I'm out. I fucking I left. I bounced. I like went to valet. He like comes out to valet and I was like, we're good. We're good. Like, I don't need this. Like it was already getting crazy with the text messages and stuff calling me like keyboard elf and like cucumber and shit. So I'm like, we got to go. So he texts, he texts me that night. Hey, like, I'm, you know, I'm really sorry I hurt your feelings. I think we should just be friends.

37:54You're like, yeah, I don't even know talking to you again, you fucking door. Yeah, no shit. And I ran back. I was like, yep, great. We are totally aligned. We are 100 % aligned. Then he texted me the next morning. Hey, I think we should just talk it out. Let me come over and cook for you. This guy's super weird. I do not reply to him. Pia, I wish I wish the list. That's the kind of guy who would be like, I have to make sure. If he saw my house. If he saw your house, he would figure out a way. He would, he'd like squatter rights on you. He'd move in and be like, I live here. He had sex with me.

38:27If he had sex with me and saw my house, it'd be game over. I wish the listeners could see what I'm about to show you. The next thing I receive is a pixelated photo, probably from Pinterest.com, of a palm of a man's hand with a big pen written. Give me this. Please do a dramatic reading. Please. Where the fuck? I don't even know what in the fucking Pinterest, Ethernet, Tumblr, this photo was found on. I hope there are days when your coffee tastes like magic, your playlist makes you dance, strangers make you smile, and the night sky touches your soul. I hope you fall in love with being alive again.

39:11Why is he... Hold on. Babe, who says you're not alive? Babe, I'm the most... Why did he find me on the internet? Last time I did a pulse check? I'm very alive, my dog. Babe, I'm packing Ozempic in my suitcase for a man. I'm having third dates in Paris. I'm skinny dipping in my backyard. I'm alive. I'm just going through your text messages. I'm alive, me love. Is there, can I see a photo of his face? This is the craziest. I have to like Google it. It's crazy. So maybe we got hit with a block after that. He got hit with a block. How many girls do you think he sent this to? Maybe three. This is an old pixelated.

39:47It's pixelated. Fucking lame ass. It's pixelated. You know what? I would expect to see this in like a first dating experience between like two seventh graders, but in 1999. Yeah, 100%. This is it's a vintage photo. We're old. Like, this is crazy. That's crazy. It's crazy, babe. Saw jewelry at the market and thought of you. Enjoy your week and relaxation. Sending good vibes. So you saw jewelry at an open market? Ew. Like, I make diamonds, by the way. You see how many diamonds I'm wearing from your brain? Fuck, I forgot to bring my bracelet. Oh my lord. Oh yeah, I suggest we talk and cook this evening and all positive energy, just being spontaneous.

40:36I'm like, no baby, you already roasted me. He's so unhinged. So yeah, yeah. Why do these things keep happening to you? You get these like very heightened versions of like these things that are so funny. Because I'm a, you know why? I figured it out. Why? Because I'm a Scorpio moon. I know that sounds really stupid, but I'm intense. I'm Scorpio. And I also kind of like intensity. I think it's fun. You also love a story. I love a story. And you're a storyteller. I am a storyteller. When I went on a first date with Johnny Hebeler Elf, I knew. I knew. Oh my God. I actually can't believe I forgot to mention this because this is like the best part of the whole thing.

41:18when I got up to leave at a tower bar when after he roasted me guess what is the last phrase he said to me what relax cindy lopper what what does cindy lopper have to do with anything relax cindy lopper how would i say you have this memory for all these things he's either like neurodivergent part of me that would be like pepperage fart like i could like what it was so crazy yeah maybe he's like a got like a cool autism thing happening for sure and it's like manifesting in like a weird way to be fair obviously these two tales are like like hilarious psychotic ones but i've had really really good dates this summer yeah i've had like some of the best dates ever by the way did that one guy text you back of course he did pia gave pia gives the best advice tell them what you literally give the best advice it's really easy to give advice it is but you're You're so good.

42:14I had, yeah, the New York guy that completely ghosted me, like really hurt my feelings. He, you know, he obviously ended up texting me and being like, I've been so busy. I'm like, so sorry for. Well, for context, by the way, he texted her and was like, what, what month was this? Like beginning of June. He's like, I'm really busy. And he's like, sorry, I have to cancel everything. I'm going to hit you up at the end of July. Can I circle back? Oh, and he said circle back. That's what he said. Circle back, which is so cool. It's crazy. This is not a Google meet that is getting pushed. This is like a human connection.

42:47So Mandy was like really sad about it. But then he did circle back. He circled back end of July. And I said, this is like, this man has a very big life and children and big responsibilities and B's in his bank account. And I said, fuck it, Mandy. Like, just text him. You're like, there was a, you're like, there's a 25 % chance this is going to work. And you're like, you don't you don't get the shots you don't take. So just you're like, just do it. Like I also said, just go into it as we should go into everything. Just like having fun. And you get to have like a couple more fun dates and you realize it's not for you.

43:26Yeah. And meanwhile, you're dating other people. So it's not like you're sitting there like at night, like, no, you know, picking fucking petals off of a flower waiting for this man. For sure. I was like, fucking shoot your shot. Yeah. And then ironically, he wrote me back and he goes, I already left L.A. So I was like, no worries. were like two ships passing in the night. And then it's just like sail off.

47:25I think like two things that have completely changed my mindset with dating that has made dating feel successful for me, even though I don't have a husband yet and I don't have a boyfriend yet. I think one of them is normalizing dating and talking to multiple people as women. It's incredibly important because I did that before David and I got married. It's for our like mental health, if we're only dating one person, we're fixating on one person. And it's just, it's not because he's supposed to be your person. It's just the thing that we do. And if you want to win, if you really, really like someone and you haven't established like exclusivity or you haven't figured out if they like you back, it helps keep you sane.

48:05You got to go on other, other dates. You have to. And especially go on other dates. And then feel it. Go out, go out with guys like you don't even think that you like. 100%. You know? They just say yes to the date. You got to, you got to keep it all. I went on a date with like a cute Swedish guy. I remember that like worked for that fancy mattress company, Hastings. Hastings, yes. And I was like, he's not my person, but I had such a fun date with him. And then like the banter he would, and he just like, it added a pep to my step to have him in the, and he would be like, Pia, pretty Pia. And I was just like, yeah, fucking you.

48:39Like, you know what I mean? It was like so great. Then one time, Dobby and I like saw him somewhere and he was like, do you fuck that guy? And I was like, no. I went on a couple of dates with him. a couple yeah a couple kisses a couple martinis in my you know make me feel like I had was getting a lot of attention for sure I enjoyed talking to him and I also really enjoy learning about myself through dates I think that's I mean it's you're essentially like rubbing up against another person like not not necessarily physically but like emotionally and like you're learning all of your edges and curves like you don't know that no if unless you have those experiences says i'm gonna read one of the questions we got because i feel like i just have such an important answer that's like unlocked something in me this chick said i need an mf motherfucking shift on dating 32 single and dealing with non-committal men left and right this like this is my this is the key it's shifting from the macro to the micro so the macro is we want to find long-term relationships, our soulmates, our husbands.

49:44Duh. Yeah. That's always going to be the macro. But let's start with micro. And the micro is we have to have fun because what happens is when we have fun, the universe starts to like reward us and we start to be open and we start truly attracting new people and the people. But it's crazy. You actually have to put the macro goal of finding a boyfriend on ice. That's not in your brain. You have to put it on ice because you can't, you can't think about it. You can't trick the universe. Wait, can you tell quickly because we're going to talk because this comes down to manifestation. Can we talk about how you manifested having sex with that celebrity a couple of weeks ago?

50:27Not that you were attracted because he's a celebrity. This is just like a big man that like I would have also enjoyed to have sex with if I was single. But that was insane what happened. This is insane. I had connected with this super, super hot, gorgeous man like a year ago. And it just, I don't know, we never met up and never worked out. Months had gone by. And he had popped up in my feed and I thought of him and I was like, oh my God, what happened to him? I put in my phone, in my calendar on a Sunday. I wrote text blank. Like two days later, I went in and I deleted it. He texted me that day.

51:09But also she was like, I'm going to text him. And then she was like, you know what? I want him to text me. Yeah, I was like, that's lame. I'm not going to text him. And then he texted you. He texted me. I have not spoken to him in 10 months. And then you had fun sex with him. He texted me. Hi, stranger. Unbelievable. I told him when we met up, I was like, just so you know, I put this in my calendar and I deleted it. And he was like, you summoned me here. he's like, he's like, you're a powerful woman. Okay. So, but truly, cause now I've had a million fucking, like I've had a million women on the podcast to talk specifically about manifestation.

51:45I've had life coaches come on the podcast. We've now done the telepathy tapes. And, and I think people will like see the description or like, and they're like, I just want like a fun podcast. Or like, maybe they're like, there's a through line to everything that I'm talking about. And And it's always that you can fucking, there's a higher thing and we need to just connect to it. Yeah. And we can create the lives that we want to fucking create. Like even the telepathy tapes, like she talks about manifestation so much in that episode. And like her next season is all about like really, like truly calling in stuff.

52:20Yeah. And, but like, you have to be open to it. You do. And I think. And you have to think of yourself in a high, you have to attract these things. And to answer this girl's question even further, the shift is focusing on the feeling, not the outcome. That's where the change is made. Oh, amazing. You know? Like, I've actually put the concept of finding a boyfriend, like, on a shelf. And then guess what? Because it's felt too arduous. When you are your happiest, purest self, he's fucking coming, babe. He's going to show up and you guys are going to both go. I know. And you're going to understand.

52:56Yeah, and I feel like. This divine timing is very real. It is. and I'm having, I am legit having fun. Are you going to Italy again? Yes, I am. Yeah, see? Yeah. It's like the fun just keeps happening. It keeps happening. Okay, let's see. Okay, this was a really good one. I want to answer this and I want you to answer this too. Okay. Question is, how are we meeting men? That was like the main question people asked. How sad. I get it though. We're all like so connected and so disconnected right now. Okay, so we're meeting men two ways and I'm obviously not going to say the apps. I'm going to say the apps because everyone's gonna be like, shut up.

53:29But I cannot believe what I'm hearing about Hinge. I'm not even on it. Apparently it's popular. I'm not on it. Okay, so these are my two tactics. So I have an online tactic and an IRL tactic. My online tactic is so easy. If you see a guy, so first of all, you have to find a guy you have a crush on. Like you gotta go do that on your own. Don't follow him on Instagram, but check his Instagram every day. when he posts a story, comment on the story. Like send a DM message commenting on the story. Can I tell you that I have had to post marriage, go back and unsend those messages just to erase a trail of me guys like, and this happened like recently where like this girl that I love is now dating this guy that I a couple of times was like, I want to date him, but I didn't follow him.

54:22Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I would like respond to things. So funny. And then I saw a photo of them and like definitely going to get married. And I was like, I used to message him and I should delete. Go clean it up. I had to go clean it up. It works 100 % of the time. It works 100 % of the time. So that's like, that's my online tip. And then my IRL tip. Except with this guy because we're not dating. But there was conversation and then he met a supermodel. So touche. But also, I think what's meant for you is for you. If it doesn't work out, then. Yeah. No, he's not my husband. My husband's my husband.

54:53They will they will reply. The other one, the IRL one, it's kind of like it's a two parter. The first one is you need to go be doing community activities where you're forced to interact with men. So like easy one, like go play padel, go to a tennis clinic where you have to speak to them like or, you know, or interact like that's so easy. And then also it's nice to go where men are doing their hobbies. Yeah, because you want that to be a golf clinic or whatever. And then the other one is you need to go to every single birthday party you are invited to. You have to go to every single one. Every day, every day, every dinner, every birthday, every event.

55:31You're out. You got to go out. And when you're out, you got to start spreading the word. You're so fun when you tell everyone. Hey, guys, I'm single. Hey, guys, I'm single. Not in a bad way. Let the news out. You know, I've been set up twice this year. Because when? Because I told people they pop in your you pop in their brain. Oh, Amanda's single. And Amanda is fun. And Amanda is cool. I got set up with someone. And I went on like so many good dates with them. I was like, this is fantastic. What would you say? How are we meeting men? I think it's that. I mean, I am a romantic who I'm like, when I'm in an airport, like when I used to be at an airport, I would just be like, who am I falling in love at this airport?

56:12You're like, and like at the market, like romanticizing your daily life. Everything in my life is super romantic when I'm single. Going to the bodega, like, am I meeting him in the bodega? Am I meeting him on the street? Am I meeting him at the supermarket? I mean, I'm also just like, I have no problem just like talking to a cute boy. You're good at that. I'm not very good. I like, but by the way, it's like one of my husbands, he's like, it's your best and worst quality because anytime like we're out, like we had a nightcap this weekend. We were out in Pebble and like. Oh, yeah. It looked so fun.

56:41It was so fun. And I was like, we went, everything closes really early in Carmel. I love to see you on a trip, by the way. Thank you so much. I love it. We had such a good time as a couple because we're really also I think like, you know, I eventually needed a podcast about like managing the relationship that you're in. But like, you know, we could have brought our children and it would have been amazing because we obviously love our children. But it makes I don't need to take them and like put them on a road trip and set them up with like they would much rather just be home in their environment.

57:12And by the way, you know, there's my mom and my cousins and the babies. It's like they're taking care of. Yeah. And like our happy place is has been always going on like road trips. So like just from like getting in the car and feeling like like I could just see Davide is so stressed with work. And I just saw his shoulders relax. And then we just like because he was real. And like, listen, he had a lot of work to do. And he came back. We came. We drove back Sunday night, Monday morning. He had a fucking 14 hour day at the store. But for those three days, we were fucking like we were in high school.

57:44and we were like so grateful that we were there and we had such a good time and we like talked about our hopes and dreams and like were able to just like connect in like a hotel room and sometimes like we'll do this if I have like extra points or something I'll be like let's just go to a hotel room for like checking it for leave at fucking 10 a.m. like even that short period of time or like just being able to go on a date it's like something but he is always like I always get him in these situations especially when I'm drinking because I really love a nightcap and I went to the hotel to have a nightcap.

58:16And we like sat outside with these like dudes and they ended up, they just like older, they ended up being like really creepy car guys. And like the conversation, like he was just like, I was like, oh my God, I love your glasses. And David was like, I have a bad, and like he was like, you don't need to talk to everybody, honey. Like, so I'm just like, like to connect. So I understand if you're not that way, it's hard to meet men IRL. But I do think there's nothing wrong with like a continuous like flirty, like staying in a, you know, like, yeah. Also, like there's so many bars. That's what I was going to say is sitting at the bar with a girlfriend and like keeping your body language open.

58:53Yes. That's good. I used to go to dinner alone all the time. This is a question for you. It's actually like perfect segue. Was it directed towards me? No, but I feel like I'm assigning it to you. How to initiate sex with hubby after kids when we're tired. so as a horny scorpio i am available to be penetrated at any time yeah yeah i'm i'm just there's just no i'll tell you something my last relationship he would always be like i'm tired or like i don't like and it it like driving me crazy it hurt my feelings yeah so much i like Like it seriously killed me. And so not that like we need to always be available because obviously you need to protect yourself and be like, but there are many different kinds of love language.

59:47So things that I did at the beginning of our relationship, like I would wear like a really sexy bra or lingerie with like a button down shirt and maybe like his pants on top, like going to a date and like let that peek out when we're on the date. if I'm bitching at him, if I'm being cold to him because I'm mad about something, if we have been on like a dry spell and I'm bitter because we've been on the dry spell, that will not then get me late. If I am happy and sweet and loving and the same thing as dating, like I want to call in what I want from my partner, whether I'm single and calling it in or that's my husband.

1:00:26And so being cute and fun and like doing things that he likes, not like, And I hate using these examples because it's not like housewifey shit, but like he loves when I bring him a coffee. Like yesterday, he was in such a rut. Usually he goes downstairs and has breakfast and then he takes a shower. He went straight into the shower. I knew he was stressed about what a crazy day he had because he didn't take time to have breakfast and make his coffee. So I brought it upstairs for him. And he just looked at me like, and I looked at him and I said, I knew that you were stressed because you got right in the shower.

1:00:58And he said, I love you so much. And then he like sat with me and like had the breakfast. But it's not like we're fucking in that moment. But he will come home later and be like, I love coming home here. You know, I want to be with you. Like you're my. So like that like energy, I think really, really helps. Yeah. Like consistency and making time for it. Listen, have we hit patches and it sucks? And yes, blah, blah, blah. 100%. But I think like men are a little bit more simple than we think. Yeah. My mom always told me that about my dad and my brothers. I think that they are. They just like want to be taken care of and they want to feel like the man and they want to feel special and they want to feel loved.

1:01:33Yeah, they want to feel admired. One of like the hottest guys. We want to be adored. They want to be admired. 100%. One of the hottest, most eligible bachelors that I am friends with, a major person, is dating the most wonderful girl right now. And when I asked him like, you know, what was it about her? He was like, I want to know who it is after this. She played with my hair. Aw. She like made me feel like I was being taken care of and like loved up on like when I wasn't asking for it. Like it was like a lot of like physical touch of just like I'm here and like almost like a mothering. I love like a back rub and I mean, I love one myself, but I love to give one.

1:02:11I think it's like so I think it's so cute. This was our last question. Yeah. What's one piece of advice you give men today? I thought about me and you at lunch the other day. What would it be? the PSA to men is we want the baby treatment like we want to be treated like a baby I want to be picked up and carried from the living room to the bed I want you to cut me off a piece of steak and feed it to me at dinner literally I don't know I'm so thirsty I want you to tuck me in tuck me in maybe read to me a forehead kiss yep the baby treatment yeah we gotta let them know like that works men love that by the way the most powerful the wealthiest woman I know who's the biggest boss on the planet, when her husband is in the room, she's like, I'm so...

1:02:58I'm a baby. I'm so thirsty. By the way, everyone's going to be like, that's not feminist. I don't know. I think we've gotten so feminist that we've emasculated men. You have to leave room for your feminine side. You have to. Like, I'm so bossy during the day. I like to be a little bit bad at night. And by the way, am I bossy with my husband? Of course. Of course. When the sun is out. But I also am a baby. I'm a baby. I really like being carried. I made. I jumped on Davide all the time. I made that super hot guy. Pick me up. We went to dinner. He's so big. He's so big. I made him pick me up outside the restaurant, carry me all the way to my car.

1:03:40Made him go in my purse, get my keys while carrying me, open my car door and set me in my car. The amount of times I look at Davide and I'm like, I need you to carry me. And by the way, it was like, I know where I am weight wise because I bounce and jump on him and he catches me. And when I'm like over 200 after giving birth, like not only can I not bounce, he does not ever want to make me feel any type of way. But I could hear his struggle. And he will still carry me and hold me like a baby. What a good man. It's very bachelor bachelorette to like run and jump into someone's arms. We're going to end on that.

1:04:17But like if you are thinking about going on The Bachelor, don't be the girl that's constantly running and jumping into the arms. Don't. Do it once. It drives me and my mother up the wall. Drives me nuts. It drives my mom. I can see her now on the couch with her mind. She's like, another job. That's your mom's ick. That's your mom's ick. That's my mom's ick. She's like, these fucking girls look like such losers. Thanks for having me. We are going to circle back in the fall. Definitely. We need Mandy's end of summer dating. Yeah, we'll need a fall horny girl update. Absolutely. Thank you. Thank you.

1:04:53I'm a baby. I'm a baby.
