In short
Lucy Goff discusses longevity and beauty through her Lima cold-laser technology (and her earlier Lima supplement brand), plus her personal story of traumatic pregnancy, rebuilding health, and running a beauty/longevity company. She also shares marketing/clinical claims and practical routines for busy mothers.
Guest backgrounds
Lucy Goff is the founder of Lima. She previously worked in journalism/PR, including PR for Selfridges’ beauty hall. She co-founded Lima after meeting longevity professor Paul Clayton (Oxford academic). She experienced preeclampsia, emergency C-section, and later septicemia requiring 6 weeks in intensive care; she has two children (son age ~3, daughter age ~13) and her daughter has autism.
Key claims
Cold laser triggers a “genetic switch” (down-regulating aging genes, up-regulating youthfulness genes). She claims Lima is “damage-free” and produces youthful collagen fiber ratios without scar tissue. She says clinicals show accelerated longevity gene expression (SIRT1) in human dermis. She also claims Lima can help conditions like autism via mitochondrial/ATP support.
Notable examples
Her own eyebrow/skin “lift” during pregnancy; a stomach-tightening case study 6 months postpartum with results in 8 weeks; a cartilage regeneration example from a man’s knee treated with cold laser that inspired re-engineering hospital devices into portable lasers.

0:44Everything is the Best Host:Lucy, it is so nice to meet you. I don't know if your team or anybody told you what like a crazy fan I am of the laser.
0:54Lucy Goff:No, but tell me. You've got amazing skin.
1:00Everything is the Best Host:Thank you. My first pregnancy, and then I want to get into yours because I know that was like the impetus for you starting Lima, but my first pregnancy, I was like, I need to be all natural, you know, of course, like, you know, so I made sure that I had waited to get any, you know, Botox in my forehead or just put or anything. And, but then I, like during the course of my pregnancy, my eyebrows just like started getting like lower and lower on my face. So like where they would like naturally rest because I'm so used to having like dysport in my face and so with the second pregnancy I had gotten my lima not long before and every day I would lay in bed at night and like do all my little routine before bed and I it was that light just lifted I felt so beautiful during that pregnancy you can actually lift did
1:52Lucy Goff:you have this one yeah yeah you can really like lift it that's what I did I would lift and like Somebody told me how to do it. So like you're really like lifting. I mean, it's life changing. Look at that. Great.
2:05Everything is the Best Host:Look at that.
2:06Lucy Goff:Yeah.
2:06Everything is the Best Host:I don't know. I want to use it. My daughter has autism. You should do the other one. I think there's like a lot of science in that laser that could probably like really help with like ATP production, like mitochondrial function in my daughter. Because lasers are life changing.
2:23Lucy Goff:Yeah. So this technology, which is a cold laser. Mm hmm. So it's very different to all other lasers. How it works is it kind of triggers a genetic switch inside each of your cells. And the genes that are associated with aging are all down regulated and the genes associated with all youthfulness are up regulated. OK. That's kind of how it works. So it works the same way in muscle, in skin, in all tissue. so it kind of resets the damage in tissue and makes the heart behave like it did before the issue set in and that's you know there's so many you can go on like pubmed there are so many published studies for old laser technology for autism for yeah we had someone coming over for
3:21Everything is the Best Host:a minute with like big laser but it was so expensive you know like obviously i want to go to the ends of the world but i can't spend a thousand dollars for an hour treatment multiple
3:30Lucy Goff:days you probably need you'd need like a whole helmet but this is obviously engineered for targeted areas it's amazing yeah well the laser pro is bigger you know i know i don't have that
3:41Everything is the Best Host:one it's so gorgeous oh my god yeah okay tell me how lima started i know that you know it's so interesting and sad but you know every founder that we have on the podcast whatever incredible company that they have launched always starts from a very low point. And so this came from you becoming sick after pregnancy, correct? Yeah.
4:07Lucy Goff:So I, when I had my daughter 13 years ago, I, I mean, the pregnancy just was like, it was, I now realize looking back, but you never realize with your first, cause you've got nothing else to compare it. It was a difficult pregnancy. and in the end I had preeclampsia and so I had an emergency c-section and the epidural failed the spinal failed I mean I was just like laid on this table thinking oh my god like this is like complete nightmare and in the end they had to give me a general and so the baby she came out like floppy because she'd been given like all this all these drugs I know so I wasn't even with her when I came out of the anaesthetic and she wasn't even there she was an intensive care and so it was quite a traumatic pregnancy and like about three days after I had her I was in hospital and I just kept on saying I just feel really ill and the nurse was saying well look you know because you've had preeclampsia and you had a difficult delivery and everything you shouldn't feel well and I was like yes but if this is how like new mothers feel and I kept on thinking like how do people stand up do you know you know like when you see these new mothers and you know well how do they even function because I can't stand up and in the end it materialized that actually I had septicemia so I went in intensive care for six weeks while they battled to say yeah no it was it was it was terrible and and I so I still wasn't with her and it was only when I was in my recovery I went to Geneva at one of these clinics you know these floods and everything so I went there and I happened to speak to one of the world's leading longevity professors and he was there speaking on a conference and I was telling him that you know I just feel completely finished like I can't my body is shaking like you know my body's been through so much I'm eating well I'm taking all these supplements what else can I do and he said well actually it was explaining that the supplement industry doesn't necessarily work like consumers are believed led to believe that it does and he said you know most of them are organic they don't actually they're not kind of they've not gone through the same process that a pharmaceutical drug has gone through to be bought to market so you can't really be assured of any benefit and he sent me all these great all these ingredients in the post and like I took them and literally a couple of weeks later three weeks later I just felt myself again amazing the impetus for starting Lima we launched as a supplement the supplement that Professor Paul Clayton had formulated for me when I was in Geneva and yeah I mean it was groundbreaking it was it was a it was a patented peer-reviewed formula that had three pillars again sleep stress and skin because ultimately they were all interlinked if you can't sleep you stress if you're stressed you can't sleep if you're not sleeping your skin's not going to look good and we launched as a supplement brand very different offering to the rest of the market and didn't really know who the customer was going to be I had an idea but very quickly came back it was this perimenopausal woman woman 40 plus who's going in the perimenopause whose sleep is being affected whose stress level is having haywire whose skin is aging yeah and so that's how we started and then I it was only really a couple of years later that Professor Paul Clayton, who I actually went into business with, this Oxford academic.
8:07Lucy Goff:So as somebody that left school with no qualifications, I was thinking, oh, wow, you know, I'm in business with a professor. He was in Germany and he was looking at a man's knees who had been treated with cold laser technology to rebuild cartilage inside one of his knees. and there was this whole team of doctors who were looking at the x-ray on the the knee that where the cartilage had been regenerated over a 12-week period and he was at the other end of the knee and this guy was like 62 in his early 60s and he was looking at the photograph of the knee that had been treated and it looked about 20 years younger than the skin on his other knee and that's when he realized that the entire light device industry was really based on led it's basically just a bulb that you have in your ceiling it's not medical it's not a light with with really strong biological penetration and so he figured if we could re-engineer this huge floor standing hospital machine into a little portable device at the same power with the same treatment lens and that would revolutionize the entire beauty industry and so that's what we did and yeah fast forward to 2020 when we launched the lima laser and then in 2022 it got fda clearance and the lima laser pro which is three lima lasers inside it's really lasers but it's got a bigger treatment lens so this is you can see here it's like this is 38 i mean you can do like all your face incredible yeah but this one it takes longer but they're both the same power per centimeter square it's just that you can treat your face and body faster with the lemur pro or if you've got kind of if you just want to do your
10:13Everything is the Best Host:eyes or something like that then the lemur pro for my step my stomach is wrecked from having kids
10:19Lucy Goff:and i bet that yeah just tighten it all up yeah this is amazing so i did a really good case study i left it six months after i had my son had my son three years ago and my stomach was all stretched I used bio oil. I mean, like... I did everything. You spoke for the best, don't you? So no, this, in eight weeks, this totally made my stomach bouncy again. So that was good.

14:46Everything is the Best Host:Can I ask you a personal question? Yeah. Your son is three, your daughter's 13. So you weigh like nine years to get pregnant again was that a scary and do you have any advice for women who are overcoming miscarriages or traumatic births I think you know I think I don't know speaking
15:09Lucy Goff:to my friends you know most women sadly in their life they will experience a miscarriage at some stage of the pregnancy journey and and it is a very scary it's such a scary thing to kind of experience you know I had one before I had my daughter and you know when you start out on your pregnancy journey I guess you just don't really think about anything like that and you just have to carry on you know you you have a miscarriage and you just have to carry on try and get pregnant again and hope that it works but I think all of this has a mental toll subconsciously in in your brain and I think I think women kind of downplay the effect that these that these occurrences have on them you know you've just got to carry on and you know maybe your partner is not being that they maybe don't understand it the way that you're doing because you know you're flooded with hormones and then you go through this kind of crush that's like beyond you know your whole life is crushed you think will i get pregnant again you know you hear all of these stories that where it's not gone right for people and fundamentally you know it's it was only when I was thinking about my second pregnancy that I just thought you know I can't I don't think I can do this aren't I so blessed that I've got a healthy child yes you know need to risk anything again so actually I had my first child when I was 39 I had my son when he was 49 wow I thought oh oh my God, like this is, this is never going to happen.
17:00Lucy Goff:But I'd left it so late because I just thought, I just can't do it. I don't know whether I'm able to go through it. And now looking back on it, I realized that I left it until I thought I couldn't have a child. I know that really, so I was kind of almost blaming something else that, oh, well, no, I didn't have a second child because, you know, it just never happened. but I mean I think what women have to go through with this whole you know giving birth to a child who you love more than anything else in the world and then kind of having to go through and deal with you know these complete crushes along the way it does play a toll and I don't think I don't think it's kind of given as much I don't know like I don't think women stop and absorb it like they do other things you know like when you did and I went back to work I gave I had
18:02Everything is the Best Host:a miscarriage on Saturday I was I cried Sunday went back to work on Monday yeah I know it's like
18:10Lucy Goff:well but then where does that I know where does it go I don't know where does it go because it It hasn't gone two days later. And therefore it comes up. I think you kind of cling on to, well, I can't even go there until after I've had my child. And then it might all come out and it might manifest in like a delay in having a second child or not having a second child or kind of just thinking, I don't know, it's just got to sit somewhere. And it's hard.
18:39Everything is the Best Host:Very hard. I'm really pleased to be able to tell people that you had a child at 49 because I am exhausted by the conversation we had had a last night with someone she was like well I'm 36 so I don't know how many babies I'm gonna be able to have I was like I have no you know I don't know if I want a third but I know that I I have I feel no pressure I'm like I can have kids way into my 40s like I just know
19:10Lucy Goff:I mean look not everybody look let's be frank you know it's it's quite a rarity that without IVF you would have yes you know a baby well into your 40s but you know IVF is there now and that's what
19:27Everything is the Best Host:I thought like if I want it so bad there's interventions I can figure and if not I can adopt you know there's just always going to be a way to figure it out but you know I didn't think that I would in my 40s that I would have you know be producing eggs or anything like that but
19:47Lucy Goff:yeah you've gone through menopause no I think I started I actually started very late I started when I was 14 and I always remember the the gynecologist said to me like you know a woman is born a baby is born with just x number of eggs so if you start earlier then you'll finish early if you start later then it'll all go on later so that's why I still had eggs at that it was earlier than 40 it was earlier than 49 obviously but it was still in my forties and
20:23Everything is the Best Host:yeah no he's a healthy yeah no you got your little guy I have a little guy yeah funny little guys oh speaking of mine just walked into the room where you're not supposed to be here He's trying to break in here. Oh, my Lord. How old is he? A year and a half. Sir, you are not supposed to be here. You're supposed to be locked in your room. He's not even listening to you. No, you're not supposed to be here. Oh, my God. So unprofessional. Mom, can you grab this baby? At least you've got your mom there. Yeah, we all live together.
21:04Lucy Goff:Well, you are the lucky Waltons.
21:08Everything is the Best Host:We, you know, it was always been my dream to have her with us. My father passed away and it made sense for us all to be together instead of being separate. So why, outside of, you know, you having an amazing chance to meet this professor and you have a background in marketing that is superior. And so, you know, it's not like you were just like a, you know, clearly the company was branded brilliantly and you have an incredible work ethic and you have connections. So can you tell us about like kind of like your background of what you're doing before? Because you've worked with some of the best companies in the world.
21:45Lucy Goff:Yeah, I mean, I don't know about my connections. I didn't really have any relevant connections in this space. But what I did have, which I figured was better than connections, was I did the PR for Selfridges for many years. And I stood in that beauty hall for years in and years out, launching all these incredible brands. and I remember being in the beauty hall and looking at Jo Malone and it was a subconscious woman for me because I was thinking what a brilliant woman yeah you know she has she has taken a commodity so a candle that everyone just buys in the supermarket for like five pounds and she has put it in a different form of package she's added a scent and she's selling this candle to a queue for 500 pounds and she made candles into a lifestyle statement for the home yeah and it kind of resonated with me particularly that brand when I launched Lima because I knew that I couldn't just launch it It wasn't just enough to launch it as the best formula, the most effective formula ever formulated.
23:03Lucy Goff:It had to be, the brand had to be better than anything else. The packaging had to be better. Everything had to be better. And then I thought with supplements, nobody had really made supplements into a lifestyle statement. so you just bought a bottle of you bought a bottle of tablets from the pharmacy or the supermarket and you put them in your cupboard nobody had ever before launched in a copper vessel so kind of threw everything at the lemur supplement because i thought that i'm entering a really saturated market and there's me at my table and that's I think what helped cut through the noise of the supplement industry people didn't really know what Lima was but they knew they'd heard of it and so kind of they were inquisitive and I think that that helps people would call people were emailing me oh can I join your concierge like people didn't really know what it was and yeah I think that kind of helped to create a conversation when we first launched as a very small company that helped us platform for the Lima laser where how did you get into doing PR so I was actually a journalist so when I left school I became a journalist I was before as a journalist I was a secretary so I was a secretary for a newspaper in London called the the Daily Express and I was a secretary for somebody that got on maternity cover and the one thing I could do very very well it was type very well it was like very very good typo so I became a secretary and then one day it was the Saatchi had died and there was nobody on the department at all and the editor came around and said he didn't know who I was and he said well I need an obituary an 800 word obituary in 20 minutes and I'm like oh well I'm sorry but the fashion editor's not here and he went well I don't care that the fashion editor's not hair, your hair, you'll have to write it.
25:27Lucy Goff:So that was my, and there was, the internet didn't even exist. No, no, the internet didn't exist. Yeah, of course, this is what, near 1990? It was in the olden days. Five, yeah. Oh my goodness. It was in the yesteryear before the internet came out. So I went down to the library and I got all the information and went back to my - Went back to the library. And typed it out. So that was when I became a journalist. Unbelievable story. Yeah. So it's just an accident. And then my grandmother was very ill. And so I went up to help my, I moved up to the North of England to help my mom with my grandmother.
26:08Lucy Goff:And then after she passed away, I was, my, you know, my mom was very upset and I decided to stay in the North of England for a few months just to kind of help her through. and I got a job in PR because there wasn't really any journalist opportunities so joined a PR agency in the north of England and that was kind of how I ended up in PR so everything has kind of happened quite circumstantial should we say yeah of course
26:37Everything is the Best Host:I think that I really wanted to do journalism and my first job for way was PR and I think that those two things provide, I mean, clearly provide such an incredible foundation for any industry job, truly, because anything you want to sell, anything you want to market on any level, really kind of goes through this moment of like, how are we going to position this, which is really PR. And then journalism, like the foundation of journalism, like being able to really you're selling something you're selling something you're selling something whether you're
Read the full transcript
27:17Lucy Goff:selling something to a journalist or you're selling something to a person reading the paper yeah just something you're selling an interesting story so I think it kind of gave me a good foundation in the art of storytelling which is really with Lima because you know we are it's a highly regulated industry and you are not allowed to what you say to a doctor is different what you're allowed to say to a customer so you know there's like how do you how do you tell the customer about your product when you can't really say what it does well yeah that's what I was going
27:55Everything is the Best Host:to ask you like the wellness integrity and the science aspect how did what's the tension between that and like yeah the marketing of the product i mean we have done we have done world first
28:07Lucy Goff:clinicals on the lima laser so this laser is backed by world first clinicals we are the first company to look at gene expression in the dermis which is the base layer of your skin nobody else has done that in humans and we know that the longevity gene s s i r t one has been accelerated six times in the dermis just using the lima laser wow we can say that to a doctor but we cannot say that to a consumer at home because it's talking about epigenetics and you're not allowed to do that so that's why lots of that's why to a consumer everything seems to be the same because everyone only says it's just very much dampened down and it's not kind of serving the customer best because they're not able to make informed decisions they might just think well do you know what the lima laser is six thousand dollars that's just really expensive compared to like a$500 LED mask.
29:22Lucy Goff:If they knew about all the science and how this works differently to LED, to radio frequency, and we were able to say all the clinicals as to how it works differently, they'd understand. I mean, the Lima laser is the only damage-free cosmetic technology in existence. Wow. And what it means is, All the technologies like radio frequency, damaging lasers, you know, any need to a certain extent because that's thermal damage, you know, they're all providing some kind of damage to the skin in order to stimulate collagen production. but the problem is when you induce the stress damage response your body prioritizes the speed of healing over the quality of the collagen fibers that are produced so ultimately all you're doing so fascinating yeah all you're doing when you're using these damaging technologies is fundamentally producing scar tissue so you're you're producing collagen but not in the same ratio of collagen fibers that is found in youthful skin unbelievable and so if you ask any plastic surgeon who opens up you know when you're doing like a deep plane face neck and brow lift and they open up the neck all the scar tissue your dermis is actually very scarred and thin and
30:52Everything is the Best Host:rigid whereas that's the opposite of what you want wow so the lima laser is the only technology
31:01Lucy Goff:in existence that actually creates the same blend of collagen fibers in the exact same ratio that's found in youthful skin and your muscle and your skin which is why you get such an incredible lift lifting effect especially in the jowls and the neck because you know you can tell a skin that has been treated with the lima laser as opposed to a skin that's been treated with other technology
31:40Everything is the Best Host:I get asked a lot what supplements I take and I've been taking the same few things for years because they work and I feel good and you know I'm like almost 40 and I feel like everything is more locked in than it ever has been and one of the supplements that are non-negotiable for me that I've been taking for over four years is Nutrafol. Nutrafol makes an unbelievable difference in my life. And it is something that in 2026, bringing in this new year, it's just like a huge non-negotiable for me. I take the woman's formula, but I took the postpartum formula for a year after both of my children like brought it to the hospital with me.

37:30Everything is the Best Host:I cannot tell you how, I mean, I can't, how much I scream it from the rooftops to my close group of friends. And I've, you know, sometimes I try to be aware, especially right now of like, you know, America is a, we're in a tough spot right now financially, but every time I post it, I'm like, I'll see, like I'll track how many I'm selling. And it's like people, it flies. And it's because I think there have been so, you know, outside of, by the way, and people hearing this is just life-changing to know the difference right now. I want to tell everybody and thank God we're able to have this conversation, but everyone that uses it.
38:10Everything is the Best Host:I mean, I'm sure obviously that you saw like Cassandra Gray said it was like her end all be all top product that was absolutely going to replace Botox for her and I've been getting Dysport and Botox for so long and you know it's not something I enjoy doing I know that I'm injecting myself it's expensive it's hard to keep up with I'm getting older it's not lasting as long every time it doesn't bother I mean I think
38:32Lucy Goff:you know you only get like a 10 year span really for Botox I know that comes the point and I'm hitting that 10 year mark me too there comes a point you know in your late 40s which you know where you can't rely on Botox anymore because it doesn't work so you've got to actually look at you know fillers you can't just carry on filling your face no and even the girl that I go to I the
39:01Everything is the Best Host:other day I was like should I and she was like I'm not putting any filler in your face and and And that, I mean, the Lima, I truly, it's like anytime anybody asks me, I'm just like, this is what I'm using. And I know that it's expensive, but this is going to replace my Botox, any injections I get. I feel like I can put off getting a facelift, which, you know, I know everyone's like in your forties, you should get a facelift. And it's definitely not something that I want to do. And knowing that I have this option, it's on my side table right now. I mean, I don't, I have it every, I use it every day.
39:35Everything is the Best Host:I use it twice a day.
39:36Lucy Goff:In the morning, I get up half an hour earlier, use it in bed, and then I use it half an hour before I go to bed. Then it's just in my ritual.
39:45Everything is the Best Host:Yeah, it's really incredible. How has it felt like seeing the unbelievable response you've been getting from everybody? Because when the supplement launched, people were yelling from the rooftops that there was a miracle drug that came to market. I mean, it must've been an unbelievable feeling outside of you not being able to like really share scientifically what's happening like the way that you've marketed it and clearly it's a good product so people are getting you know the reviews are incredible but what does that feel like to actually have your hard work to be received with the utmost what the highest regard from everybody i mean it's just unbelievable i pinch
40:24Lucy Goff:myself every day I think I'm like one of those people that always thinks I don't allow myself to go there because I just want to always have the drive to take this onwards and I think that if you stop and kind of you stop then you might not start again you know and I've just got to keep that keep that drive so I just I'm kind of stay really focused I make sure that every week I spend an hour in our customer service just kind of really looking at a mix of all the feedback that we're getting and you know at the end of the day I started Lima to change people's lives to transform people's lives with the supplement or you know just kind of how my life had been changed and I wanted to be able to change the lives of other people.
41:19Lucy Goff:And I think that, you know, hearing all the stories of the lives that we've changed, you know, that's like incredible. That's more than I could ever have dreamt of. So I think it's about staying focused and really, really mega-ly humble.
41:39Everything is the Best Host:I know, would you give yourself moments to be like, look what I did?
41:44Lucy Goff:I think we've won we won like an award and and I was like oh wow you know like I go oh my god like this is like a mega award and I do give myself a moment when we when you know some of these incredible awards but after that I'm just really focused on the business and helping the team take this where we want it to go because we've got like and incredible.
42:11Everything is the Best Host:Yeah. Tell me how many, how many employees do you have? I mean, you're in a big, beautiful office with a beautiful Christmas tree behind you.
42:17Lucy Goff:I know, it's so nice. It's like the biggest Christmas tree ever. I don't know how they got it up, but I would do anything to be in London
42:25Everything is the Best Host:right now during the holiday season. I mean, America, it's just so embarrassing when it comes to the Christmas decorations. You guys are really like, I could just imagine how beautiful it is, but how many team members because this is a whole new aspect for you right like actually building a company and hiring and expanding so like how many how many employees do you have right now yeah so
42:46Lucy Goff:we don't have the biggest team no you shouldn't because i i just think you know you can do it's best to kind of keep a core team so we've got 50 50 people who work but we do everything in-house so we develop our houses in-house we do everything in-house so it's it's a really it's like a family yeah it's incredible okay so what is the future of lima look like well we have got some really exciting launches next year so we are launching another ingestible and we are launching more skincare which is really really exciting that's very exciting and we've got an incredible laser pipeline so obviously we're in the skin space at the moment but we'll be branching out into other areas for this technology so like there are so many things is this that this technology can do for the body and the skin is the tip of the iceberg yeah i was gonna say you're sitting on something that can just be life-changing for people's mobility and internal health and physical well-being it's the ultimate i mean for longevity it is and pain and inflammation it's just and it's kind of like something you can take with you it's like a clinic a physio a derm it's just there in your hands and that's that's very empowering to busy people I think or anyone on the go yeah you know it's funny it's like you know ultimately
44:28Everything is the Best Host:all of us want to look in the mirror and feel good right but you are also like the skin like the looking good is like the side effect of the incredible like internal work that your products are providing for your customers which is really incredible
44:47Lucy Goff:well talk to me about a feeling than looking in the mirror and thinking i don't
44:55Everything is the Best Host:wow listen at the end of the day we are myself all a little shallow and that's okay tell me about before we end i want to know like kind of what your day looks like like how do you maintain you know obviously what you're doing is under this umbrella of you know sleeping well helping with stress, which obviously the supplement does. But what are you doing at home and in your daily routine that are kind of like some non-negotiables that you could implore on the rest of us that are also mothers and, you know, have to work a lot?
45:29Lucy Goff:I think like you've just got to put boundaries in there. I think, you know, I've got two children who are my life, so they are the most important part of my life. But it's kind of like putting boundaries in place that you know you need to have time on your own yeah you you know you've got to kind of be just be fully present when you're at work be fully present give yourself a window of motherhood you know whether that's three hours in the evening or whatever that is you know give yourself that window but then you have to run fence time for yourself because nobody else will and I think that that's you know you're you're only as good a mother as you are to yourself so if I just don't allocate any time for myself then it just means that you that you can't really be the best version of yourself for everyone else I used to feel very guilty for like investing in myself I used to think well you know I'm just being vain or you know I should be with my kids or I should be at work but actually ring fencing time to invest in yourself whether that's a lymphatic drainage that's literally a bath and you say I am going in this bathroom now and even if you knock on the door I am not going to answer you I say that to
46:53Everything is the Best Host:my once a week I take a really long bath and a lot of salt and I'll say unless somebody's bleeding I don't want to hear from anybody.
47:01Lucy Goff:Exactly. But I think using the laser, you know, I spend like an hour a day using this laser. But ultimately, I don't have the skin of a 53-year-old. You look incredible. Well, that gives me, you know, it makes me happy. it's kind of I might listen to a podcast or I use that time to do something that I wouldn't have normally done it might have been watching Netflix it might just be scrolling on Instagram whatever the algorithm what's how do you set up your day like what do you can you give like an
47:39Everything is the Best Host:example of kind of like like what time do you wake up and like what time are you done with work
47:43Lucy Goff:I wake up early. So I wake up at 5.30. So some people might say, well, that doesn't really work for me. I think you've got to do what works for you. I wake up at 5.30, 5.30 to 6.00. I use the laser, like listen to the podcast, just send to my brain. And then it just starts with like, you know, packed lunches, getting ready for school. It's just like mundane things. I want to, I don't want to, yes, I've got help, but I don't want to. I want my kids to know that whatever they eat I've made I think there's just psychological things that I that are like non-negotiable that I want to do for my kids so I always drop my daughter off at school my son gets taken to school he's younger and then I'm in the office for 7 30 and then I always leave by five I love that I just have a rule that you know if you can't fit everything in until five, then some things I have to stay on for.
48:43Lucy Goff:But, you know, as a rule, I've always left by five and I limit my dinners a week to two.
48:50Everything is the Best Host:I'm very similar to you. I wake up around the same time. Really? Yeah, I wake up around the same time. Five is when our nanny leaves. So then I'm done with my work if I need to finish it after I put them to bed. and they go to bed at seven and I won't miss more than one. I cook them dinner and I make their breakfast.
49:12Lucy Goff:And it must be the support of this working motherhood.
49:17Everything is the Best Host:I will not, not make them dinner and I have to put them to bed. I love bed. I love dinner, bath and bedtime. I'm whatever. If I have to do something, you know, if I have a dinner or something, then it has to happen after seven when I already put them to bed so even last night I don't do any more than twice a week there's no kneeling you're exhausted also no no and I think I always
49:41Lucy Goff:I do try and eat really healthy so I eat like people take people take the mickey and me at work but I eat a stick of like a whole bunch of celery a day and a bag of yeah so those are my kind of two healthy things and then i try and just eat non-processed foods and drink a liter and a half of water and limit the caffeine you know like i have two coffees in the morning and then that's it i'm like the world's most boring personal sound like no you're not that's not boring this is very
50:14Everything is the Best Host:normal but most people i think i think we you know we've come out of like we we've like i feel like we're at the tail end of like busy bragging. You know, I think everybody wants to be like, they're working harder if they're like a martyr to their work. And I say this to my husband all the time because he runs his own company too. And he'll be like, oh, I got to stay. And I'm like, at this point, like, that's just like bad management on your end sometimes. Like delegate to other people, you know, he, and he feels bad asking his employee to do extra things. And I just say like, you know, it becomes, and now he's been obviously like so good.
50:48Everything is the Best Host:This was at the very beginning, many years ago. And I've had to do the same. And it's just like, when you're happy and you feel good and the kids are happy and then you're a better employee and like the
50:56Lucy Goff:flow is really nice but I think also you know like when I was a when I was a child you know entertainment was not there you know like entertainment that you're that we had like what there was like some encyclopedias at home there was some book there was some board games like there was really not the entertainment that you have and like now what joy you can like have a phone and you are just like entertained. The whole world is at your fingertips. Yeah, the whole world is at your feet. And I just think, wow, like that's so exciting. And I can stay in while I do it.
51:35Everything is the Best Host:Thank you so much for coming on the podcast. I'm really such a big fan. Talking about boundaries with family. Sorry, my son, Kipra. This is, you know, it's 8 a.m. here. So this is like my day usually starts at nine. So he was running around like a little wild boy. But thank you so much. I truly am such a fan. And I've really never used anything that was just so impactful on that deep of a level. I mean, the way that I could feel so beautiful in this second pregnancy because my face wasn't puffy and I still had my cheekbones and my jaw I was like, my eyebrows were mega cheap.
52:18Lucy Goff:Yeah.
52:19Everything is the Best Host:I mean, but for so long they were, I had just like a round moon face from having PCOS and being inflamed and not eating properly and cortisol. And like, it's, you know, you are such an inspiration for so many levels, but I think like what I'm realizing the last like couple of years is like that I'm not scared of aging. And it's truly because of women like you that really prove that you can do so much and are providing such incredible products for us to look our best well thank you and thank you for using lima thank you for believing in it of course okay thank you so much it's just i mean literally every night i'm just like it's part of my routine it just feels so this eyebrow technique it's very good i mean yeah your eyebrow just like lifted like i said yeah if you just do this amazing well congratulations on all your success.
53:10Everything is the Best Host:Thank you so much. All right. Have a good day.
53:13Lucy Goff:Merry Christmas. Yeah. Merry Christmas. Bye.

From the publisher
This week, I’m sitting down with Lucy Goff, founder of LYMA, to talk about the science of longevity, beauty, and feeling good from the inside out. We get into her deeply personal journey - from a traumatic pregnancy and serious health challenges to building one of the most innovative wellness brands in the world.
We talk cold laser technology, aging without fear, motherhood, boundaries, and why investing in yourself isn’t vanity - it’s survival. This conversation completely shifted how I think about beauty, healing, and what it really means to look (and feel) your best.
