In short

The host returns to “PP’s Fav’s” with a beauty/health “favorites” episode focused on skin (microneedling, Sculptra, injectables, prescription brightening creams, exfoliation, vitamin C, lymphatic drainage), plus broader wellness tips (sleep, hydration/electrolytes, creatine, workouts, fiber, red light therapy, nicotine quitting, and winter immune/sleep herbs).

Key claims

She stopped posting due to insecurity but finds “favorite things” videos motivating. She saw a new smile-line/laugh-line crease in a photo and is treating it. She reports microneedling with exosomes helped her dog-bite scar “disintegrate,” and she plans repeat sessions every four weeks. She says Sculptra regenerates collagen to plump smile lines/jaw area; she avoids filler in smile lines. She claims Dysport works faster/longer than Botox for her and recommends specific injectors.

Notable examples

Dr. Payman (microneedling/exosomes; similar-to-Sculptra product); Nurse Natalie (Sculptra on smile lines); Mona at Fasile (Dysport/forehead quick lift; chin filler); Barefaced hypochlorous acid mist and salicylic toning pads; Goop/Barefaced peel pads; hydroquinone/retinoic acid/flucinolone (and another mix with kojic acid/hydrocortisone) for melasma.

0:00The following podcast is a Dear Media Production.

0:14I have not done a PP Saves. I was pregnant with Corlo. It's been way too long. It's been way too long. And what I've realized that I've been doing is just like consuming so much other content online that I've been too embarrassed or I've been giving, like, I've just been so nervous. I don't, it's so weird. I've like not been posting a lot lately because I'm just like, I see, I'll tell you, I'll be like super honest. I see all these like young girls that post content all day long that like, you know, get like people to take photos of them. And I do that for my paid content, of course. Like I have Lindsay who does my photos and like does content for me like that.

1:02But like, I don't like create content on a daily basis. I that's like not at all part of my program. It's not something that I do. And it's something that I should do in order to like maintain my career as a person on the internet. But like, you know, I'll see these young girls who just like all day long are posting their outfits and this and that. And it's like, I'll take like a mirror selfie and I'll just be like, Oh, this is so embarrassing. It looks stupid. and like the lighting is so bad in my house. And I just like get so in my head about it that I haven't been posting anything, but I have been consuming a lot of content obviously.

1:34And I've been finding that videos that girls post where they talk about like their favorite things that they do just make me so excited and it feels so girly and cute and fun. And so we're going to bring BB's faves back and we're going to start today with a nice, hopefully shorter episode, because all my episodes have been way too long lately. And I would love to just give you like some short, fun episodes, but this is going to be around my beauty faves. So I want to talk about like skin stuff. And this is hard because there's just so many fucking products out there. There are so many skin brands and so many of them are so good.

2:11And I get a lot of stuff sent to me. So, which I'm so grateful for, but I want to be like super transparent about that. Right? Like, but I obviously am really trying to like dial in what works for me and what doesn't. I, for the first time this weekend, saw a photo of myself where I thought that I looked old. Davide posted a photo of me in his stories wearing the beautiful vintage Tiffany's earrings that he got me for Valentine's Day from the Real Real. And I just have this giant fucking smile line And that starts like, you know, midway up my nose and goes all the way down to my jowl. And I was so horrified by it.

2:52Not horrified. I'm fucking fine. But I was like, ooh, I look old. It's the first time I felt that way where I was just like, damn, like I got to do something about that line. By the way, I'm sure nobody else notices it. I'm the only one. I'm like, this is a very shallow thing. but I'm going to tell you what I'm doing for this. So I went on like a very intense deep dive the last like six months. Cause I stopped doing kind of like any like quote unquote, like treatment to my skin. So I started doing like intense deep dives on TikTok and asking all my girlfriends, especially my girlfriends who like live on the West side and are like, you know, more in the public eye.

3:35I'm like, what are we doing? And even Sheena from Kosas on our episode like two weeks ago said microneedling. Everybody says microneedling. So I did it four weeks ago because my wonderful plastic surgeon, Dr. Payman had me come in to do my face, but also really to get my dog bite scar because it's healing amazingly, but it's getting chunky. So they microneedle it and put exosomes on top. And dude, like that scar, like that whole chunky part just like disintegrated under that needle, which was awesome. So now it's healed itself back together, but we definitely need to do a few more to make that scar go away.

4:16She also went over those laugh lines a little bit, but we're going to do this consistently. So what I have learned is that doing microneedling, it's expensive. If you can do it quarterly, amazing, but twice a year is something that just gets better and better every time you do it. It's quote unquote, non-invasive. I'm down for whatever. I'm like stick a needle in me during fucking the daytime at 12 o 'clock. I don't care. Like whatever. I'll do anything to like feel confident. But I put numbing on and felt absolutely nothing. You are vampire-y for like a couple of days, but that's it. And I've seen people do like way more intense things that took like, I've never done anything like that.

5:00This is like the most intense thing that I've done. and it's super manageable. I went to dinner that night. I like, I shouldn't, I mean, I just don't care if people at a restaurant see me look funky. I went with my kids and a girlfriend, so whatever, but I'm going to do it again on Friday. We're going to do just a few, like four weeks, every four weeks until this scar is in a better place, which by the way, it's healing great. But like right now, the way that it's healing, I just want to make sure that that big chunk doesn't stay there. The other thing that I'm going to do, because I also did a deep dive on this, and these are the two things that people said was really microneedling and Sculptra.

5:38So I'm going to do my first Sculptra on Friday. Sculptra is where they basically like inject your face kind of like all over with something that regenerates your own collagen in your skin. So you're just like yummy and plumpy from your own collagen production from underneath your skin. I've seen videos of like big needles going in. I don't know. I'll film it and post it and I'll show all of you. And apparently Dr. Payment doesn't even use exactly Sculptra. He uses like some other thing that's like very similar that works great. So I'm going to have him do that, especially down these smile lines or Nurse Natalie will do it down these smile lines, fill those in because I really don't want to get filler in my smile lines.

6:24to bring this into our next topic is like injectables. So if it's in your budget and you can get on some peptides, I've just like never felt better. Between my iron infusion, NAD, I'm on the glow peptide. I've just never felt more energized or more like glowy. That really started with NAD. I love NAD. I've been doing that for years. And then everybody told me to do the glow peptide after I got bitten by the dog to help with healing. And that also helps with like skin elasticity and all that kind of stuff. Glow is like GHKU or whatever. It's like copper. It's like you type it into TikTok or you type it in all, you know, there's a million people on it and whatever.

7:11And then face injectables. I've been doing Dysport forever. I have a really intense like frown face, like really intense resting bitch face from the time I was like really little. Like everyone would be like, are you mad? And I'd be like, oh no, this is like just what I look like when I'm thinking like no big deal. And it created a really intense, like deep, like wrinkle in my forehead. So I started getting Botox in my late twenties and instantly it went away and Botox used to last a good amount of time on me. It was something that was obviously like in my twenties, like too expensive for me to be consistent with.

7:52Now I will tell you so much, like Dysport is where it's at. Dysport comes on so much quicker than Botox and it lasts me so long. Botox will last for like four days in my fucking face. And for the price that we're paying for this stuff, it is just not worth it. So Dysport is where it's at for me. It's unbelievable. I do it all above my eyebrow to get an eyebrow lift. I do it on the sides. I go to lots of different people for this, but really my favorite woman to go to is Mona at Fistil. I will also tell you, I have raw dogged Fistil and been like, can somebody just like quickly do some disport on my forehead?

8:30And I don't know what it's called, but they have this like cute, like, you know, quick lift thing. It was like something that's like their like forehead thing that had like a charming name. And it was, I think it was like three,$400 or something to do my whole forehead and my crow's feet, which is a very expensive, obviously, but it also honestly, so affordable compared to fucking any other place. And it was so good. So if you live anywhere near Fasil, like these girls are great and they know what they're doing. in terms of filler. I had cheek filler before my wedding. That was seven years ago.

9:07I haven't had it since I felt like it stayed for a long time. I can get very hollow in my face. And that has been happening to me since I was in my twenties. So I get nervous about like losing sight of what I look like by like over pumping certain areas. So I'm just trying to stay away from it. But the one filler that I did do recently that Mona at Fasile did, which I really thought was such a slight, nice change to my face was a little bit of filler in the tip of my chin. There's some like really hot girl on TikTok. She's like this blonde girl who does injectables and showed her before and after of what she has done on herself.

9:47She basically explains like, especially as you get older, that you want your face to be less square and more like heart-shaped. So she said that she did Botox in her jaw and her masseter muscles because they were really big and it made her face square. And I definitely, from having horrible TMJ for so long, used to get like huge, huge jaw, like really crazy. So I started getting Dysport and Botox in there years ago and even doing it just a couple of times, like decrease the size of that muscle by half. I'm not even kidding. So that gave me like a really, like a much more narrow defined jawline.

10:28I haven't done it in a long time. I should do it again. And then she said that she also put like some filler in her chin. Cause you want more of like, you don't want to have like a big angled face, but it just kind of made my face and her face, like more of like a heart shape in terms of creams and like stuff for your skin. There are so many brands. It's so overwhelming, but what I have been using off and on for years, that's just really made a huge difference. And I think if you just do this with like a vitamin C and a moisturizer, you're kind of in a really good place, but like Trentinoan or anything that's kind of like prescription-y and these can be called like essentially like bleaching creams.

11:07And a lot of them are mixes and a lot of them can be mixed with like hydroquinone, which I don't even think is legal in other fucking countries. So this is something that you don't want to use a lot, but like I have really bad melasma. And if I use like a hydroquinone, Trentinoin mixture cream at the end of summer, like when I have, or after pregnancy, when I have spots all over my goddamn face, like it removes all of them. It completely removes all of them. So the one that I'm using right now from Dr. Payment at plastic docs, which is also where I get my microneedling is hydroquinone, trentinoin, and flucinolone.

11:51It literally says hazardous on the bottle. It's a 0.01 topical cream. And I love it. You use this for like a few weeks and then you don't use it again for like a very long time. I think you just like, I'll use it for like three weeks and then go off of it for like all of summer and maybe do it like in the fall for a couple of weeks and then like go off of it. It's not something that you stand for a long period of time. But if you can get like a Trentinoan, it's just life-changing. It just makes your skin look so good. It's so impactful. It's such a big bang for your buck. Like big fan. Faseal has an amazing mixture.

12:31I wonder if I still have that on my side table right here. Oh yeah, here. I do. This one, the one from for seal is hydroquinone, retinoic acid, kojic acid, and hydrocortisone. This one was awesome. Oh my God. These both are like, so anything, this one's obviously doesn't have any Trentinoan in it, but if you can even just use Trentinoan, like you're going to be in such a good place.

17:24Other stuff that I'm obsessed with skin-wise that is really entry-priced point and great are the barefaced products. I spray that facial mist on my skin multiple times a day. And I cannot tell you how impactful it's been for my acne. I mean, the main ingredient in it is the hypochlorous acid, which by the way, you should be spraying on everything. Like it kills bacteria. It's really good for kids. Like I got some, I got some spray a couple months ago too. That was like a kid's spray that you put on like cuts for your kids to make sure they don't get infected. And it was literally just hypochlorous acid.

18:08And it said like, you know, it was like kid, you know, anti whatever spray. And I was like, Oh, it's hypochlorous. And so because I work out so much, I keep it in the car. When I wake up in the morning, I don't wash my face. I spray the barefaced mist on and then I put on my vitamin C. But I do that like before I put any cream on, I spray that spray on it, on my face. Also, they have toning pads that have like salicylic acid in them. And if I use those consistently, I do not get any fucking pimples. The other product that everybody should be using is some sort of peel pad. So like I said, again, barefaced has a good one called their polishing pads.

18:49It's like a deep exfoliate treatment. The ones from Goop are also incredible. So either one of these are really great. I think the bare faced ones are definitely, I don't think the bare faced ones are definitely like a lot less intense than the Goop one. And the polishing pads from Bareface you can use every night. And it's just like going to give you this amazing glow over time. The Goop exfoliating pads I use once a week. I do them every Sunday. And even Shawnee Darden, who like all her products, by the way, are really, really good. But she always has said from the beginning, like you definitely like whoever you are, you need to like once a week be doing some sort of like intense exfoliation.

19:32She has a really good mask too, where you mix two ingredients together and it like tingles. So her mask is also like a great option for that. But you want something that's like deeply exfoliating once a week. And then vitamin C serum in the morning, everybody needs it. Barefaced also has a really nice entry price point. Vitamin C, you know, everybody makes a vitamin C. Natrium has great products that are super entry price point. I'm going to tell you something really, really, really fucking annoying. The three best vitamin Cs that I've used, they've all sent to me, but these are vitamin Cs that I've also paid for when I ran out of them.

20:06The Augustinus butter vitamin C, the SkinCeuticals vitamin C, and the Goop vitamin C are all unbelievably incredible. That's something you use in the morning and then you got to layer on a bunch of SPF, but you do not want to fuck up and miss out on using a vitamin C serum. It's life-changing, truly. So, so, so, so good. Okay. Lymphatic drainage. I know we've all talked about this a bunch. I can't stress it enough. Go on TikTok, go on YouTube, have Chad GBT tell you, get any sort of facial carving tool and do lymphatic on your face yourself or use your hands, anything. It's life-changing. The things I do to get my face thin are lymphatic on my face and warm lemon water in the morning.

20:56Warm lemon water with some apple cider vinegar, like you can do whatever concoction you want. But as long as you have warm water with lemon first thing every morning, I've been doing this since I was a teenager. You know, I cycle in and out of being consistent with things, but when I'm consistent with warm lemon water, my face is a different face. It's really incredible. So lymphatic also, you want to make sure you're doing on your body. If you can get lymphatic massages, incredible. I mean, if you can find any place to do consistent massages, like, you know, if you can find like a cheap place, buy a package or something, great.

21:26If not, just get a dry brush. The dry brush from higher dose is on the pricier side, but I've had mine for five years. It is incredible. It has like, they have really sharp bristles, but literally any dry brush you get anywhere at a health food store, Amazon, anything is going to change your life. And again, look up on TikTok or Chaggbt or whatever on how to do proper dry brushing. You do it before you get in the shower. I do it at least three days a week, it's going to do wonders for your body. Wonders, wonders, wonders. I cannot express enough. Like you don't need to spend money on this. You can buy simple tools and do it at home.

22:05And if you do it consistently, you're going to feel amazing. The other thing that I do to get my body or stomach flat besides lymphatic is castor oil in my belly button. When I am consistent with this, my stomach is so damn flat. I buy a roll-on stick. I have a giant glass jar of castor oil. I also will put it on my eyebrows sometimes or my face or whatever. You can put it under your eyes, but you definitely want to get it in the dark glass jar. And I really like the roll-on one. And then you can just buy little, I'm going to do a sub stack about this, so I'll link it all, but you can buy these little like stickers that you put on your stomach.

22:47So at night, even when I'm like, oh, I don't feel like doing this. It's in my side table. I open my side table. I pull out my castor oil. I pull out my little stickers and I put them on my belly button. And every morning I wake up and I'm like, thank God I did that because my stomach is so much more flat. It really makes such a big fucking difference. Speaking of side table and going to bed, you got to have consistent sleep. And this is something that I've also been working on with my life coach. Like he was just like, think about the hour, cause I'm addicted to TikTok and I love getting in bed and looking at it forever.

23:19But he was like, think about with every video you watch or every time you're on your phone, think about like, is this benefiting my future? Is this benefiting how I feel tomorrow? And being able to do that and turn it off has been so empowering for me. And then I bought like, you know, a bunch of books that I knew that I would good, was going to want to read and get excited to read. I just got Broken Country, but Paper Palace, I blew through and it's just like one of my favorite books of all time. So if you want something that like gives you that excitement of, you know, the endorphins that you get from looking at TikTok or something out of a novel, the Paper Palace is just like magnificent.

24:00I just, oh, I love that book. I kind of want to read it again. But my friend Sarah said that Broken Country is very similar. So you want a book that you get excited to read. And I was trying to read these intellectual books, but I also realized that I felt like somebody was yelling at me to do something when I read certain books. It's like, I just want to have a light, nice fucking sleep. And I want to get into bed and I don't want to need, like have another author or another person telling me that I'm like doing something wrong or not meditating enough, or this is long, whatever, you know, give me a rom-com, give me a happy book.

24:47I have a lot of friends who are trying to cut back on nicotine right now. It's been like a big discussion in our friend group. And now I see that some of you are posting about it online and saying how much it works, especially the kick-ass immune, which makes me so happy. Someone did it in their sub stack roundup yesterday. Somebody put it on TikTok because I'm telling you kick-ass immune works. So if you're looking for ways to stay healthy and balanced during these cold, dark winter months, or if you're like me and have kids that bring up germs all the time, you definitely want wish garden herbs in your house.

29:30The kick-ass immune is for adults. They also have a kid's version. It's a game changer. As soon as I feel the little tingle in my throat, as soon as Carmela has like one little sniffle, I load her up with the kick-ass and I cannot tell you she has not. It is February and like knock on wood, but her class has been taken out twice by colds, like teachers having to call out. And we had nothing more than a stuffy nose in this house. So you just pump it into water or tea and you just feel like you're proactively protecting yourself. And winter stress can be really, really rough. And so we've also been using the deep stress, which is a blend of ashwagandha, which my doctor tells me I need every day and other incredible nervines that help calm the mind, ease tension and support mood and energy.

30:13I honestly noticed a huge difference in my mood and Davide's too. I've gotten really into this brand. He loves it so much. And we also use the sleepy nights, which is kind of our secret weapon because we were taking lots of different sleep supplements and you just wake up groggy the next day and you don't get that with sleepy nights. It's a gentle, non-sedative herbal blend that quiets the mind so the body can follow. So there's no grogginess, no melatonin. It's just deep natural sleep. And even if I wake up in the middle of the night, a little sleepy nights will gift me right back to sleep. And that's how I discovered I loved it so much because I had it and I still woke up at seven feeling perfect.

30:50Wish Garden Herbal Blends are all natural, high quality, sustainably sourced from a woman-owned, family-run company that's been perfecting formulas for over a decade. They have something for everyone, including kids and pregnancy-safe options. So no matter your season of life, there's a natural remedy to support you. So own your health, drink your herbs, and go to wishgardenherbs.com to use code everything for 20 % off. That is wishgardenherbs.com, code everything for 20 % off.

31:21That has made it very easy for me to fall asleep at a reasonable time because I am begging myself to keep my eyes open when I read a book. And so my rule now has been phone off at 9, not off, but apps off at 9 p.m. And I am struggle city to stay awake until 9.30. and I wake up really early. So, you know, I need to put myself to bed early, but like going to bed earlier and waking up early every day, oddly has made me more energized and more focused and has like increased how I feel tenfold. I feel so thankful. And I saw that Jay Shetty had some like sleep specialists on his podcast. And he said that like every other sleep person will how you have to go to bed at the same time every night.

32:14And he was like, actually, you just need to like wake up around the same time every day. So, you know, Tuesday, Wednesdays, I work out at 6am. Obviously I'm not waking up at 5.30 on the other days, but the other days, you know, around 6, 6.30, I start to naturally open my eyes and it's really been, I don't know. I like, I have such like a pep in my step since I adjusted my sleep, but truly like sleep is free. And it's just, we need it for our neural pathways. Like just math and science. Everybody needs to sleep. Okay. Water, duh. Drink a lot of water. The parallel cellular hydration is so goddamn good.

33:01And also makes me so glowy. And I just had a bunch of blood work done that said I was like unbelievably low in potassium. So now instead of drinking the cellular hydration, like a couple of times a week, I drink it every single day. And I've noticed such a big difference in my energy. I feel really good. It's made me a lot less sore. I don't, I used to be so low on potassium that I would press on the gas in my car and my foot would go into a foot cramp. So I have the cellular hydration right now on my Giant Stanley. It's a yummy mango flavor, but I also add lemon to it. And I'll drop in some extra mineral drops.

33:38I just know that this giant jug of water is so unbelievably nourishing to me, and that feels really good. I can be really good about drinking water, and I can be very bad about drinking water. So if I romanticize the water, I'm going to drink a lot more of it. Other things I put in water. Creatine. Everyone has all those different opinions about what time to take creatine, whatever. I don't know. Chad GBT told me it doesn't fucking matter what time you take it, as long as you just have consistent amounts of creatine in your body. I don't go a day without creatine. I saw someone once say that they like only take it every so often because it can cause bloat.

34:12Like I'm like a normal person. Like I'm bloated a lot. Like, so I don't, I've never noticed like bloat from, I think that's just like a, yeah, I'm not like that thin and athletic that I would notice like a slight bloat in, in creatine. So for those of you who are asking me like, does that make you feel bloated? Like, no, unless you're like, you know, 110 pounds and notice like a slight shift in your salt intake and you feel differently. That's, I, that's not me. so the creatine has only just made me feel fantastic every time I open my phone there is like another positive article or post or interview with somebody about the incredible positive effects of creatine for cognition especially when it comes to elderly people so not to call my mom elderly but I've been making her take it every day and so I think between like the creatine and my iron infusions that I got from Modwella, this is the first time in my life that I can sit down and bang out hours of work at my computer uninterrupted.

35:18Like if I would have had this stuff in high school or had the wherewithal to be like, why am I falling asleep at my desk at 1.30? Like why am I, I just have so many regrets about having so many like undiagnosed things young because I lived in such a brain fog for so long. makes me sad for myself. Okay. Weightlifting, walking, Pilates. Life-changing. Life-changing. Buy some weights on Amazon. Do a free YouTube. Heavy weights. Just get heavy weights. Just do some arms. Do some squats with some weights on your shoulders. Like it's not complicated. You could ask ChatGPT to put together a plan for you of at-home workouts, what the schedule is, put in your goals.

36:07Like I use Chagibet to do menus for me at the end of the day. I'll like ask, you know, I also do this with my Weight Watchers app, but like just lift weights. It's life-changing. If you have the privilege of doing some Pilates, get some fucking Pilates. Should you do Legree? Totally. It's absolutely amazing. I can't believe how on top of the weightlifting, how then like doing Pilates, I could just see a cinch in my waist and like a strength in my abs that I didn't know was possible. It's like truly incredible. You could also get unbelievable results doing mat Pilates at home with free stuff on your phone or your computer.

36:48And then here's the deal. Walking needs to happen all the time. I used to think that like if I was doing a workout, that that didn't mean that, you know, that that meant that I didn't need to get my steps in. You need to be walking all the time. And when I do a workout and then we'll throw in a 20 minute walk, you know what I've been doing, which is really cute is I'll do drop off. And you know, one of my besties kids goes to the same school. We will walk around the neighborhood for 15 minutes. You just want to get in the 15 minutes. You want to get in 15 minutes on the days you're not working out, get in three miles.

37:23I walk around the Rose Bowl or the Reservoir or the Arroyo or anything with the kids. I cannot tell you. When I lived in New York and I walked at least 10 ,000 steps a day, I could eat whatever I wanted. My digestion was unbelievable. I was never constipated. My stomach was always flat. Walking is God's gift. If you don't have the ability to work out, just walk. Just walk. you are going to feel so good. It's annoying. We have to do it. We have to do it all the time. And you have to do it even if you did a workout. You just got to get extra steps in. It's what our bodies are meant to do. It's truly unbelievable.

38:05Okay. The other thing that I'm obsessed with is getting in as much fiber as possible. This comes from foods as much as possible. We can supplement fiber. Yes, you really want to get fiber from your foods. This is leafy greens, chia seeds. So like today, for example, I make a soup every Monday. And if I don't do it, by the way, then my fucking angel nanny does it for me because she saw me do it all the time. And sometimes I'll come downstairs from a bunch of meetings and I'll be hungry and she will have made it for me already because she's seen me make it so many times. I do bone broth or water or bone broth and water.

38:41Chicken. I always like to do chicken breast. She does this really amazing method where she blends herbs and maybe like some kale or whatever, spinach or something. She puts it in a blender and then pours it into the water. You cook your chicken in there and you add a bunch of greens. This, by the way, on Weight Watchers is what we call zero. It's a zero. And by the way, since I've been on Weight Watchers off and on since I was in high school, I remember my mom always being like, just make your like zero soup, which when I was in high school would be like V8 would be my base. And then I would just put a shit ton of vegetables and whatever protein on top.

39:15So if you make like a delicious soup, here's how I do it. It's like a, it's a base for the week. So I have all these greens and chicken. Okay. For lunch, I will add in white beans. I will add in hot sauce. I will add lemon. I will add kimchi. I will add avocado. Like you're just going to add all these amazing accoutrements and you're going to get so much fiber from all those fucking greens. And then by the way, this soup also, I like to do breakfast soup, but that one I like to do with sausages. And that's another soup that I make a lot, but I'll just do bone broth, you know, carrots, onions, and then I'll put in some beans.

40:01Before you added the bone broth, you do like Like chicken, you do onions, carrots, saute, add in Italian sausage, like a mild yummy sausage. And then you can add in bone broth on top, add in some beans. That's also a soup I'll sip on during the week. And then in the morning, I'll make that soup, put it in a pan on the stove and I'll add two eggs into it. So then you're getting like a really great high protein breakfast. You're going to get fiber from the beans. You're going to get fiber from any greens you put in there in your green soup. and then I make like at least once a day, I take some water and I make chia seed pudding.

40:35I do water and chia. I just put like two to three tablespoons in there. I let it sit. And then during the course of the day, I'll go into the refrigerator and I'll add like a little Greek yogurt and some blueberries and then I'll eat that thing up. Or I'll have the chia seeds. Then I'll be like, you know what? Maybe I feel like having a delicious, like more of a sweet treat afternoon snacky and I'll make a protein shake. And then I'll just throw the chias that have already been soaked in that because chia has so much fiber. So does flax seeds. So you just want to make sure that you are getting in fiber with every single bite of food you fucking take.

41:12If not, then you want to like load it somewhere in your day, but you need fiber. I cannot tell you how life-changing it has been for me, for my digestion, for my overall health and wellbeing. Fiber, it's life-changing. The hot girls are getting fiber. The hot girls are not constipated. Or they are because a lot of hot girls have ranging IBS. I get it. Okay. If you can invest in a red light, you need it. And we do it on Carmela. And I only like to talk about stuff with her that comes via her doctor. And her doctor has shared this on Instagram. And I love her doctor because anything she posts on Instagram has the source.

41:54it's, you know, it's all has sources next to it. So it's not like she's just making things up and you can't, you know, she can't, you're not listening to some woo woo weirdo, everything she says has a purpose. So this is what she said. One of my autism mamas told me that out of all the supplements meds we have tried, red light has made the biggest difference. I must say it's become one of my favorite non-supplemental therapies for my kids with autism. Photobiomodulation uses non-invasive light typically in the red near infrared spectrum to boost cellular energy and improve brain function. PBM stimulates cytochrome C, an enzyme in our mitochondria to help produce energy and function better.

42:34By restoring and protecting neurons, PBM reduces brain inflammation, making neurons healthier and more resilient. Clinical studies have shown promising results in children with autism. Over four to eight weeks of transcranial phyto-biomodulation, which is red light therapy, improvements in social awareness, communication, irritability, and a reduction in repetitive behaviors has been observed. Some even reporting lasting benefits up to 12 months, but that's not all. Recent research has also shown that applying PBM to the abdomen can improve microbiome function in mice, which is so cool. So she says it may work by balancing brain connectivity to improve the neural circuits, reducing cell damage and inflammation by restoring normal cell function, altering the gut microbiome, positively influence brain and behavior, supporting mitochondrial function to enhance energy production for the brain.

43:22So in the testing that we've done for Carmela, we know that she has extremely low mitochondrial function. All of her therapists, including her speech therapist, like Carmela has no connection to her body. This is like, she has no cross body coordination, which means, and this is really common, the two sides of her brains aren't communicating at all. So if you're talking about like improving neural circuits with red light therapy, like these are all of the things that are happening in her body. So we just started using it. But if it's doing this for children with autism, think about the benefits.

43:53Like we're just like putting these red light masks on and we're like, oh yeah, like it's so good for my skin. Like what it's actually really doing for us is really incredible. So I wear the higher dose hat for hair growth and stimulation and I wear the higher dose face mask every day. And then I started doing 20 minutes of it also on my stomach. And then I throw it in, like I throw it in Carmella's room all the time. So it's just like shining on her while she's playing. I just like the flat mask because it's like folds up. It's like moves around. So I like have that shining on her as much as possible.

44:26So red light therapy is amazing. Also, Higher Dose just made the shower head with the red light, which is just like the fucking coolest thing of all time. They also have the mat. I mean, any product from them. I love Higher Dose. But, you know, any sort of red light therapy is going to be it's like the most amazing thing you could do just like at home for yourself. okay thank you for joining in to pp's faves 2026 part one we're gonna keep this going i'll do a little snippet to this hopefully on tiktok and substack if i can get my shit together to create more content because we know the world just needs more content okay love you guys have a good week
