In short

Fantasy football preseason Week 2 takeaways and “key questions” translated into fantasy-relevant decisions, plus league news and injury/roster updates.

Guests

None. Hosts are Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright (no guest interviews mentioned).

Key claims

  • Don’t overreact, but balance over/under-reaction to preseason; use it to adjust draft expectations.
  • Several roles are still unsettled due to rest, injuries, and depth-chart uncertainty; some players may require “waiting a few weeks.”
  • Justin Fields’ poor passing in a Jets game is a concern for Garrett Wilson’s fantasy ceiling (targets exist, but QB play matters).
  • Quinchon Judkins’ situation is volatile: he won’t face formal misdemeanor battery charges, but he’s still unsigned and may still be suspended; if signed, he’s a late-draft RB shot but likely not Week 1-ready.
  • Joe Mixon is not a lock for Week 1 due to foot recovery; avoid at ADP.

Notable examples

  • Buffalo: Ray Davis played; Ty Johnson didn’t; Davis boosts James Cook’s backup value.
  • Miami: Jalen Wright struggled (vision/efficiency); Ollie Gordon looked better for early RB opportunity.
  • Colts: Tyler Warren usage praised; QB starter debate between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones.
  • Ravens/49ers/Bucs: multiple RB/WR injury notes (e.g., Keaton Mitchell hamstring; John Mechie new chance with Eagles; Bucky Irving ceiling tied to more passing targets).

5:21Jason Moore:presented by Progressive Insurance.

5:24Mike Wright:And Brooksie would like me to remind you there's another very big announcement tomorrow. Oh, just tease.

5:35Jason Moore:It's just a tease.

5:37Andy Holloway:It's just a monster. It's just a little... A monster tease.

5:41Jason Moore:I'm sleepy. Wake me up tomorrow.

5:46Mike Wright:All right, well, we didn't get to cover this because we had just recorded before we got this news, but the cleveland browns yeah uh there are always updates around the browns quinshawn judkins who was at one point this offseason other than uh ashton jenty was was some of our favorite like

6:03Jason Moore:when i when i finished adding the udk he was the the second highest i mean obviously jenty being like a first round pick was super high but he came out highest in my expected projections for 2025 So it's been quite a roller coaster because he's gone from probably the second best pick potentially at running back to I don't know if he plays football this year or signs with the Browns to now the news.

6:31Mike Wright:which is that in a statement thursday in an fl spokesperson said the league had been quote following developments in the matter he won't face formal misdemeanor battery charges over an alleged domestic incident in south florida last month he is still unsigned he does not have a contract with the browns um right now if you watch the preseason game jerome ford dylan samson both didn't play because they rested with the starters. So those are the two players that are lined up to play running back. Obviously Nick Chubb departed this offseason. Jerome Ford came back. Quinch on Judkins was supposed to be the future.

7:10Mike Wright:Number 36 pick.

7:11Jason Moore:A very talented running back that was going to be the new Nick Chubb. So now we know he's not facing charges. The NFL can still suspend him. I'm going to project they still will.

7:26Mike Wright:Right now Jimmy Haslam said he's cautiously optimistic that he'll play for the team in 2025. That's all we have. No contract yet.

7:32Jason Moore:Yeah, he said that back in July. This is new news because it looked like he was definitely, you know, going to have charges brought against him. I mean, he was arrested. So now there is a chance that he doesn't get suspended and is available for the entire season.

7:51Mike Wright:Which he has not practiced and played with the team yet, And so that'll be something to, you know, from an onboarding perspective, how much do they trust them? When do they trust them? All of that. But we'll follow that news and get it along to you as we get it. There was news, I believe, yesterday that the Commanders had been shopping Brian Robinson Jr. to teams around the NFL. If you remember, Brian Robinson Jr. and I believe Austin Eckler are both on the final years of their contracts with the Commanders. Ja 'Cory Krosky, Merritt, has gotten a lot of off-season hype and buzz. He was a seventh-round pick.

8:24Mike Wright:He had very little production in college. He had one year at, I think it's New Mexico or New Mexico State, and then he transferred and played one game in Arizona. That's it. That's all he had. He had a very productive one year. The nastiest of nasty boys, Mike, if you want to hit that drop. But we're at the point. Do you have a giant drop board now? I've had this forever, man. Oh, really? Yeah. You got the big boy over there.

8:50Andy Holloway:Well, I got these fun knobs and things, too. I don't have all the buttons. But I can swipe between. It just caught my eye.

8:56Mike Wright:I didn't know if you were going to be firing off some sound effects through the show. Got any horns and whistles? No.

9:02Andy Holloway:The producers have wisely not given me very many options.

9:06Mike Wright:Just knobs that do nothing so you can feel like you're doing something? That's great.

9:10Andy Holloway:I look like I'm real busy over here, guys. Hold on.

9:14Mike Wright:But let's talk about this. Brian Robinson, maybe the team feels comfortable enough with Kroski Merritt working in with with Eckler that they were willing to shot Brian Robinson. We don't know a lot more than that one report.

9:25Jason Moore:Yeah, it's such a weird thing to come out and be. They are going to play football soon. Yeah, I mean, as of right now, Brian Robinson is the presumed 1A of the backfield for a good offense. He's been a target. Both him and Austin Eckler have been targets because you're talking double digit, you know, 10 plus round in your draft where they're going to score fantasy points. So if he left, that would be very interesting for Lil Bill as Ja 'Cory goes by. Yeah. And or Austin Eckler.

9:57Andy Holloway:And just to add, Andy, more context, he really only had one year of true production. I mean, he played a lot of years of college. He played at Alabama State, and then he went to a big program in New Mexico and then transferred to U of A where he got 13 carries. so I struggle very much with this situation of this he's 24 years old he was a seventh round pick and I know yes late round guys come out of nowhere sometimes like Isaiah Pacheco I'll just bring up

10:31Mike Wright:who everyone wants to bring up Alfred Morris because he was a he was that for the literal team and they they want to project that onto Krosky Merritt but the you know for forever

10:41Andy Holloway:isaiah pacheco it did work out eventually you know i believe his rookie year it wasn't spectacular for fantasy football but he did take the job but it's just reminder reminder uh kamana kamani vidal sassoon oh yeah last year everyone that dude's gonna take over the chart like it's very difficult for day three guys to truly take over but this is you gotta at least

11:05Mike Wright:attention yeah we we can name them because they're so few yes Steve Slayton and Philip Lindsay and you know a handful of guys over the years but if Brian Robinson was traded that just makes him

11:17Andy Holloway:immediately if Robinson is traded it's a huge deal because he will be

11:23Mike Wright:Krosky Merritt would take that role Terry McLaurin activated off the pop but he doesn't have the contract he wants yet activate that money yeah he's not activated off of the business

11:35Jason Moore:The business pup? Yeah, the one that worked for James Cook.

11:39Mike Wright:Financially unable to perform?

11:40Jason Moore:Yes.

11:42Mike Wright:The pup? I don't like that. Tom Pellicero, your favorite guy, Mike. Oh, who's we hyping up now? He's just saying it's still a possibility that Rashi Rice and the NFLPA and everybody come to an agreement on a settlement for a suspension that would allow him to be suspended at the beginning of the year instead of waiting.

12:02Andy Holloway:We did have an update. So the last report was, you know, that they're waiting four weeks or so into the season before he even has his true meeting here with his judge, which we got some more context on that, was what I saw from the rumor mill that the league was coming after like 10 games. Yes. And the Rasheed Rice game was like, oh, no, we are not going to take that. So we're going to move forward as far as possible into, you know, having an independent person look at it. So there is a judge who was not able schedule wise to fit this to look at this case for the four weeks. That was the reason for the delay.

12:43Jason Moore:But but they could as of right now. As of right now, between weeks four and five, he's going to have his moment to speak with. Is it a judge? I believe it is.

12:56Mike Wright:It's a disciplinary hearing with the same judge that covered the Deshaun Watson suspension situation. It could take her time from the end of the hearing to her decision in one, two, three, four, five weeks. It came quick with Deshaun Watson, I believe.

13:10Andy Holloway:I thought she took some time. It's up in the air of this is still extremely messy. and you're going to have to make your own personal decision of how much Rasheed Rice risk are you willing to take. I think they'll get to a settlement.

13:22Mike Wright:I think we'll hear something. But A.J. Brown still not practicing, which is not great. No. We're getting closer to the season. That's a heads up for you. I had to increase the risk rating and lower a little bit of my projection for A.J. Brown just out of hedging. The Eagles then went and traded for John Mechie from the Texans in exchange for Harrison Bryant and a day three pick swap. John Mechie was a player that there was a lot of excitement for. He underwent cancer treatment.

13:48Andy Holloway:Yeah, he lost his rookie year to treating his cancer, yes.

13:51Mike Wright:And then he just hasn't been able to kind of work himself into the rotation enough. So new chance with Philadelphia. And they do this. They find a way to just grab some guys that haven't had the opportunities that they think maybe they deserve.

14:03Jason Moore:Yeah, they went and got Dotson. They've got wide receivers who were supposed to be better than they performed on the NFL field, but John Mechie is reunited with Devontae Smith. They were both at Alabama together. That's fun.

14:18Mike Wright:We've got more injury updates. Malik Neighbors is dealing with a back injury. Back, shoulder, toe?

14:25Jason Moore:It's just normal back tightness. That is the quote. It's just normal back tightness.

14:30Andy Holloway:This is great news for me because that's how I wake up every day. You and Malik Neighbors? Yeah. Pretty similar athletic profile, but also normal back tightness.

14:40Mike Wright:Yes. Mike McDaniel says he's currently not concerned about some big news. Devon Achan, who's dealing with a lower body soft tissue issue. And, you know, I saw some medical experts talk about this, basically saying, look, if this was hamstring, because the quote from McDaniel was days and weeks. If it was hamstring, it would be weeks automatically. So he's kind of ruling out hamstring. he's kind of leaning towards this is either groin, adduct, or something like that. Well, there's one way to find out. Is he on the index? I'm checking. Well, the reason he might not be telling us what's hurting is because he doesn't want to end up on groinindex.com.

15:22Mike Wright:Yeah, they do that now. They don't have to fully report it. So this is not great, though, because A-Chan, he's an undersized back. He has an injury history, although last year he made it through. But previously to that, he had an injury history. And then we're going to talk more in the preseason takeaways about the backup options there. but A-Chan right now not concerned about his week one availability but I don't like any preseason injuries at this point speaking of which Joe Mixon is still quote not considered a lock to be ready for the week one game against the Rams there was a picture viral picture spreading from a podiatrist this weekend with a he was featured with Joe Mixon and it was like hey I'm so happy to be part of Joe Mixon's recovery team and this was like a podiatrist foot guy talking about this.

16:10Mike Wright:So there's something going on with the foot. He's still on the NFI, and I've seen a couple of unsubstantiated reports of people pulling him off the board completely. But again, it's like, could this dude just show up in week one? You gotta hedge a little bit. He's not a safe draft pick.

16:25Jason Moore:No, there are a few guys. We're getting to the time of year now where it's so hard to remember that this isn't just some piece of paper week one game. This is a human being. who either is able to play football or isn't, hasn't been able to this whole offseason. We're 17 days away from NFL games being played. You have to get out there right now. Mixon, Stafford, these guys who have just spent the entire offseason unable to play football scare the tarnation out of me. I certainly am not drafting any of them at ADP. In Stafford's situation, he affects everybody. That's hurting all Rams.

17:05Mike Wright:And we'll talk about the backup options there in our preseason takeaways as well. Quentin Johnston went down, parted off, concussion symptoms. This is in the preseason game. Same with Jalen McMillan, who that looked very painful as well. He folded up and got hurt. And we'll talk about the wide receivers for the Buccaneers. But the most recent report is that he, quote, avoided anything major, which is good news. Keaton Mitchell, hamstring injury, running back for the Ravens, depth piece behind Derrick Henry. The 49ers.

17:42Jason Moore:Oh, mercy. You can add. They're just all yelling mercy. Mercy. Have mercy on us.

17:48Mike Wright:You can add Patrick Taylor and Corey Kiner, both running backs. I don't even know who Corey Kiner is. Never heard that name in my life. Yeah, well, he was taking, like, significant snaps because Garendo, Jordan James, Amir Abdullah, all out. Now Patrick Taylor, dislocated shoulder. Kiner, high ankle sprain. right now.

18:05Jason Moore:Is this the only way to keep CMC

18:07Mike Wright:healthy? Is he like siphoning their health? Yes, he is. Yeah. Keyshawn Vaughn and Jeff Wilson are healthy. My name is Jeff. They have both of those players. Keyshawn Vaughn

18:14Jason Moore:and Jeff Wilson. We're back, man. Get on your knees and pray. Because y 'all about to go down.

18:21Mike Wright:This is like, what's the most recent, that movie that just came out again?

18:24Jason Moore:Oh, Final Destination? Final Destination. It's taking everyone.

18:28Mike Wright:Running back room. You know, Marshawn Lloyd, he played in the preseason game he hurt himself in the preseason game Marshawn Lloyd had a great reception looked you know explosive people in camp very explosive hamstring now injured he's he's too explosive uh so he is he's his muscles I mean basically he's going to start the season hurt again and it's not going to be him as the backup for Josh Jacobs and it's it's awful because you're never going to see him play football last year it feels like last year he had a hip injury

19:01Jason Moore:a hamstring strain an ankle sprain and appendicitis oh mixing that in and then he's starting this year off with the groin strain earlier finally gets back and now hamstring again all right that was

I'm going to blitz these, and I don't want people out there to think that I'm going to be exhaustive about every single one of these games, teams, or players. That is not what this is going to be. This is going to be just some kind of headline takeaways for each and every team. There were a couple teams that literally just didn't play first and second stringers at all, and those teams don't have takeaways. but I'm just going to ask some questions about fantasy based on what we're seeing for Buffalo they really played no starters the one thing that was significant to me Ray Davis played and Ty Johnson James Cook they didn't play so from a depth chart perspective I think that's a little bit interesting because I don't look at Ty Johnson at this juncture of his career to be anybody that's a threat to James Cook at all he is a very complimentary player where Ray Davis young sophomore player explosive him playing in the third spot really feels like it's another boost to James Cook who just signed the contract like just being secure I feel like it's a a

22:58Andy Holloway:statement that you know Cook is the starter and Ty Johnson just he has his role and Ray Davis is

23:04Mike Wright:James Cook's backup that's I think that's fair uh Jason with Miami and A-chan getting hurt we did have Jalen Wright play ahead of Ollie Gordon in this game yeah but Ollie Gordon was great again Jalen Wright and Jalen Wright was like point a to carry is he just not yeah before

23:23Jason Moore:this game yeah no I think that's the issue I think Jalen Wright is not good it's not being good at the game I mean his vision his vision is terrible he's a great athlete like rookie year was

23:32Andy Holloway:a lot wanting and we're already in a place of like hey look at it and Ollie Gordon was a day three guy yeah he already looks I want to say he was around six I think that's the headline

23:41Mike Wright:Ollie Gordon from a depth perspective a chance hurt right now like prior to this week of uh

23:48Jason Moore:preseason football I personally chose to give Ollie Gordon higher stats than Jalen Wright which is very against the grain um but it I just don't think Jalen Wright is good enough if if he proves

24:03Andy Holloway:me wrong the opportunity there in that backfield is great jalen wright among 89 rookie running backs with 70 or more touches since 2017 wright ranked dead last in yards per touch so it is to

24:15Mike Wright:put a number to how kind of stinky he can sprint yeah yeah his 40 yard dash excellent but the vision thing like they wanted they're talking about making him the goal line back that's what the opportunity they gave him in the first week of the preseason they were stuffed again they're the worst short yardage team in football maybe ollie gordon's part of that solution i don't i

24:32Jason Moore:I don't know if Derrick Henry could be a successful goal line back there.

24:35Mike Wright:Yeah, I mean, it definitely hasn't been a chance.

24:38Jason Moore:Let's not be hyperbolic, Jason. He'd be fine. He'd be better for sure. I'm just saying they've got a really bad offensive line.

24:46Mike Wright:All right. By the way, AFC East is where I'm starting here. New England. First sentence, Travion seems inevitable. Thoughts, Mike?

24:58Jason Moore:I believe we know Mike's yes or no answer to that question.

25:01Mike Wright:So he took all the third downs with the starters in this game.

25:03Andy Holloway:You didn't take anything from Antonio Gibson being the actual starter?

25:07Mike Wright:I was going to say Antonio Gibson was the procedural starter. Is that old man coach?

25:16Andy Holloway:Yes, it is.

25:16Mike Wright:Can we be like a rookie? Very similar to him. Unleash him. Richard Nixon. Unleash him, unless you don't want to win. He'll be unleashed. So the question is, is how unleashed will he be in ADP? Yeah. And do you overspend on him because he's so sexy?

25:31Andy Holloway:Yeah, and there will be a timeshare. I just think that Henderson is so good, he will be the leader of that.

25:39Mike Wright:And Efton Chisholm, shout out to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Another amazing performance. The New York Jets, speaking of timeshares, Braylon Allen took all third downs. That was so weird. And he was 7 for 34. I think Brees was like 6 for 36 or something like that. It's going to be a timeshare in New York. but the pass catching has been the like saving grace caveat and i know third down is not everything right right you watch this game and there's two takeaways one the committee situation and two i i know mike doesn't want to hear it so i'm going to tell you jason just me and you i'm

26:15Jason Moore:willing to hear it because i know what you're going to say justin fields is not a good pass he's not he's not gonna garrett wilson is going to be hurt by justin fields he it's not good vibes

26:26Mike Wright:right now no i mean you we we have there's no receiver that has shown us that opportunity mixed with bad quarterback play does not equal fantasy success more than garrett wilson he's had the targets what the most ever in three years or something like that yeah so it is depressing to see yeah he had 168 targets and finished as the wide receiver 32 that same year yeah and justin fields like these were bunnies in this game that he missed he was one for five passing i believe but they were you're talking about like breece hall for a dump off you know i mean like over his head like little it's only five passes it's not the whole season you don't overreact to it but you also like understand that justin fields has played for three teams now like if he was the super answer for a team the worst team in football doesn't easily sign you so um that's the concern there afc north i literally have nothing for baltimore all the all the starters rested Cincinnati, they haven't played, so no takeaways.

27:20Mike Wright:Future takeaways, they play tonight. Cleveland, I mentioned it, Samson and Ford, those guys rested with the starters. We're waiting on Quinchon Judkins. Do you have any gauge of, like, if Judkins signs tomorrow, is it just, that's the guy you take the shot on late in drafts and you don't worry about the other guys?

27:36Jason Moore:Yeah, I would take him ahead of the other guys. He's the best running back on the roster. They drafted him to be their main starter.

27:42Andy Holloway:It will take time, though. You're going to have to hold for a few weeks. A rookie who has no training camp whatsoever. I mean, I guess if he's signed tomorrow, he gets a couple weeks, but they're already making plans. So you're going to have to hold on.

27:56Jason Moore:When I talked about the fact that I had him ranked highest right when the UDK was released of the non-Ash and Gentile rookies, that was because of the presupposition that he would be the week one starter. That's not in the cards anymore. He's not coming out week one and getting the bulk of the work.

28:14Mike Wright:Well, that's a good translation into this guy. This is another play I think maybe we have to wait on a little bit more. That's the storyline on a few of these is maybe we have to wait a little longer than we want. But with Pittsburgh, Kenny Gainwell started up above Caleb Johnson again. Johnson.

28:33Mike Wright:I really like this. That's the coach making him earn it. Johnson had like he got stuffed a bunch. He had some good runs. It was a mixed bag to me. But Gainwell over Caleb Johnson right now, it's Warren sitting with the starters no Rodgers no no Warren now Gainwell's playing ahead of Caleb we may have to wait a little bit longer on Mr.

28:52Jason Moore:Caleb Johnson just make sure if you're out there don't draft Caleb Johnson just just don't do it let him fall to me really late I will scoop

29:01Mike Wright:him up everywhere so you're not dissuaded by this no I mean it's funny because you whenever you see

29:07Jason Moore:you watch the video you know you see the film you see someone tweet out oh look how great he looks or look how terrible he looks, and it could be the exact same video. You see what you want to see. I want to see him look great. He looks fine to me. Like, genuinely, when I watch, I'm like, this is – other than the egregious drop last week, his film was good. He broke some tackles, had some explosive plays. He had a ton of great cutbacks this last week, so I think he looks great.

29:35Mike Wright:AFC South Houston, Chubb played 11 of 14 snaps with C.J. Stroud. Now, Damian Pierce couldn't work himself in. He's still recovering from the quad injury. But Chubb played 11 of 14 with the starters. It seems like if there's no mixing, Nick Chubb is, like, where does he belong in drafts?

29:53Andy Holloway:Late, you know, like if you're going with a more zero RB approach, he is probably someone who's just gross that you can roll out there the first couple weeks. You know he will get opportunities. The Texans should be a good offense. So, like, you have a chance of a touchdown every single week, you know, while he is the starter.

30:14Mike Wright:Also with the Texans right now, it seems very solidified that it's Nico Collins and Christian Kurt. Yeah. And then the more interesting thing is Xavier Hutchinson's been playing ahead of Jaden Higgins. Jaden Higgins seems like another guy you may have to wait a little longer before you get the benefits of that upside. I don't think it'll be very long for him. Okay. The Colts, my one thing I wrote down, Warren is awesome.

30:37Andy Holloway:Yeah. Yeah.

30:39Mike Wright:97 % of all snaps were starters through two preseason games. Deep down field targets. I mean, he looks awesome.

30:48Jason Moore:That is rookie tight end Tyler Warren.

30:50Mike Wright:Yeah, in this game, Richardson was 6-for-11 for 73 yards. Jones was 7-for-11 for 101. Neither of them really separated.

30:58Jason Moore:Both had their good moments. Who do you think is going to be the starter week one?

31:03Mike Wright:Well, I think that's an interesting question because I think it should be Daniel Jones. I think he's the better player. It's really hilarious that he looks like the stabilizing player for a quarterback room because he is the least stabilizing quarterback historically. But I think from a position standpoint as a team, what's the easier thing to do? It's easier to me to give Richardson the start. If he collapses again, you've got Daniel Jones waiting. The other thing in reverse seems a lot harder because you can't go away from Richardson. If you bring him in after Jones, it's harder to pull the emergency cord.

31:42Jason Moore:I mean, we know exactly what Daniel Jones is. We've seen years and years of him as a starting NFL quarterback.

31:50Mike Wright:I think he's the better quarterback, though. I think he's definitely the better quarterback.

31:53Jason Moore:I think he is right now.

31:54Andy Holloway:But he could be your future and your ceiling.

31:57Mike Wright:The season starts Miami at home. They're favored. Then they're at home against Denver. That's a tough defense. Then they go on the road against Tennessee, not favored. Then they're on the road against the Rams. I don't know if that plays into your decision-making. Who do you think they're going to start?

32:11Jason Moore:I think they'll start with Anthony Richardson, but TBD, they'll announce it next week.

32:18Mike Wright:As somebody who wants to see Tyler Warren succeed early in the year, I want it to be Daniel Jones, me personally, but I think that unless Richardson collapses in the third preseason game, I would give him the shot first if I'm the Colts, because like you said, you're looking for one last shot it you know the Bryce Young redemption story the the let's give the guy a shot to be successful

32:40Jason Moore:if Daniel Jones is better it's still irrelevant like what Daniel Jones is is not the future of a franchise that is a successful NFL team probably true Jacksonville uh Trevor Lawrence through two

32:54Mike Wright:games with Liam Cohen you ready for this 14 of 17 for 119 and a touchdown okay so Trevor Lawrence It's the redemption story of Baker with Liam Cohen, among others. But, I mean, Lawrence, 14 for 17. It's been good so far. Tank Bigsby played every first and second down. Travis Etienne played on both third depths.

33:14Andy Holloway:That's some swapped weeks there. That's the most interesting thing of everything we were hearing at a camp before preseason games started was that Tank Bigsby is the primary guy. He's the starter, and Etienne has his role. Then preseason week one happens, and that was completely upside down. and like, oh, threw everything for a loop. Now we're back to tank on first and second down.

33:38Mike Wright:It could parallel Tampa, where he just came from. You've got Bigsby. It could. Bigsby could be the Bucky. It could. The Rashad White could be the Etienne, and then the Sean Tucker could be the Tootin.

33:49Andy Holloway:Which I wavered in my faith after preseason week one of which guy I want. Not that we're not clamoring to get the Jacksonville running backs in particular. but I'm still drafting Tank Bigsby ahead of Travis Etienne.

34:05Jason Moore:Yeah, if the starters play next week, that will be what to watch for. Like, who gets first and second down between those two guys?

34:11Mike Wright:I think it's fun to talk about Tennessee because Cam Ward seems like he is going to be the real deal at some point. Now, as a rookie, your production, you don't hit certain marks. It just doesn't happen in the passing game very often. But my takeaway from this was, I mean, you saw the rookie wide receivers getting a lot of snaps. Now, Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett, they didn't play. But Iow Manor, DK, they played a bunch of snaps. I have a nickname for it's Alec Iow Manor, right? Mm-hmm. But when I type his name into anything, it autocorrects it to Epic. So he is now Epic Iow Manor. Okay. All right.

34:48Jason Moore:Let's hope he lives up to that. Yeah. As far as I'm concerned. Take it easy.

34:51Mike Wright:But he was Epic in this game. He looked great. He had a big connection with Cam Ward.

34:55Jason Moore:He's playing right next to Van Jefferson, so it's easy to look good.

34:59Mike Wright:Yeah, DK. I just think you look at this team like Lockett's stage of his career. I like Ridley a lot. I think Ridley is a super great steal. I just haven't said it a lot because he was a my guy last year and didn't quite end up there.

35:13Andy Holloway:Yeah, I think he is a steal at his ADP. It will not be smooth sailing.

35:19Mike Wright:But I think Io Manor could easily be their wide receiver too. Easily. I mean, you're talking about competing with Tyler Lockett, who really hasn't been a two in a couple of years. I mean, it was nice to see. So finishing up the AFC, we're in the West. Denver, you saw Sutton, Mims, and Vele all rested with the starters. Franklin and Pat Bryant both played and looked good. It almost makes it more confusing. Yeah, you can do it now. You can do it. This is his time. I mean, look, I think Troy Franklin, here's the real truth about Denver's wide receiver room. Sutton stable good draft him playing I think then it's just going to be a hodgepodge every single week I mean like if Mims is sitting with the starters and Vela is sitting with the starters and then Franklin and Pat Bryant get reps and they both look good like Franklin's going to catch what three or four long touchdowns I mean probably Pat Bryant could get involved and he's the one that has the kind of like invisible upside we don't know how good he could be and Evan Ingram will be there to take plenty of targets as well yeah that's true um I I had almost nothing on the Chiefs nothing too impactful Elijah Mitchell still seems to be the RB3 Pacheco played a couple of snaps Hunt rested but he's also banged up yeah he had the quad contusion and old and older so I look it's Pacheco Hunt then Elijah Mitchell all right help me with this one and I'm gonna I'm gonna give the shout out to Dwayne McFarlane for breaking down the wide receiver room for the the Raiders so Jacoby Myers played 100 % uh talking about the Las Vegas Raiders wide receivers Jacoby Myers played 100 % of snaps with the starters.

36:52Mike Wright:Full-time slot. He played slot the entire time. Then you've got Deontay Thornton Jr. 25 % target share with the starters. Average depth of target of 28.5 yards. Yeah, he's a nine guy. Seems to have a firm grip on the wide receiver three roll. Late round deep sleeper. But Trey Tucker was also on the field for 100 % of all passing plays in the offense. Jack Bash did not play until he got out there with the second unit. So Myers, Thornton, Tucker?

37:23Andy Holloway:That does seem to be the starters. It'll be – it's interesting of like is Thornton – I mean he's a later round pick than Jack Bass. Jack Bass was a second round pick, so it's disappointing to see him not be able to get on the field. Meanwhile, a guy drafted after him is. But does Thornton have like real upside or is he just a – you know the way that they've used Trey Tucker like just a real gadgety player who is big and fast that can help you do other things on your offense but he can't really become a focal point

38:00Jason Moore:I mean none of it's it's the time of year where you got to talk about those guys we love Jack Bash's film there's two rookies here competing so we want to know what's what it's all irrelevant the wide receiver three for this team and that's what this is because even though it's the wide receiver too brock bowers is there and then it's jacoby myers yep the leftovers are split between a couple of players i mean if we're being realistic these guys aren't going to be week in week out fantasy starters without an injury ahead of them yeah and i i would don't i would disagree if there

38:30Mike Wright:was no brock bowers i would say hey there's an outside role that's it's an opportunity on the outside but i think you're you're dead on chargers wise um we talked about quentin johnson getting hurt the stars of this game there were the two rookies so keandre lambert smith trey harris both made plays right now it seems like it goes mcconkey keenan kls yeah yeah and and obviously

38:55Jason Moore:quentin johnston um up there as well trey harris was with the twos uh he did not do his work but listening to harbaugh harbaugh was glowing on both of those guys harris had a great game just he was behind he's he's behind on the depth chart right now um all right so we'll take a break

39:11Mike Wright:and we'll talk, I'll run through the NFC teams and we'll do some mailbag.

40:58Mike Wright:Alright, let's start in the NFC East The Dallas takeaway Javante rested with the starters Miles Sanders played

41:07Andy Holloway:okay so that that whole it's gonna be tough that's why the answer is cd lamb and george yeah

41:14Jason Moore:exactly because they're not going to be able to run the ball honestly blue is like yeah jayden blue is the only running back i would take a shot on and it would be like if he makes it to the last

41:24Mike Wright:round in my draft i'm not javante feels like a zero rb situation right he does except i i go back

41:32Jason Moore:to, I mean, the Broncos were a good offense last year. The Broncos had a better offensive line. How often could you have started Javante Williams last year?

41:41Mike Wright:Not very. He was a D in consistency. If you guessed right, you would have been able to start him three times. He had a hundred

41:48Jason Moore:for a lot of teams.

41:50Mike Wright:209 carries and you end up at...

41:52Jason Moore:If you're a running back with 70 targets for a good offense, how are you not a top 15 running back? A top 24? He was the running back 31.

42:01Mike Wright:What if they're in a league that gives like 100-point bonuses if your running back goes 14 for 40?

42:07Andy Holloway:Then Javante's your guy. Second rounder.

42:11Mike Wright:All right, so Javante is the best of the worst. The Giants. Russ, he can still throw the ball really, really far. Yeah. I watched every Jackson dart snap twice because it was super impressive. He completed 13 straight passes in this game. It was all hurry-up. It was all short-area targets mostly. I mean, there were a couple of good plays. But still, you want to be accurate. It's exciting.

42:34Andy Holloway:Justin Fields would love to complete 13 straight passes.

42:38Mike Wright:Goodness, in his dreams. With the Eagles, it's the Shipley story to me. I mean, Saquon and Shipley, those guys rested. Shipley looks locked as the RB2, so if you're looking to ensure Saquon or take a shot late on somebody that could emerge in an injury, whatever, there's your guy, I think, right?

42:58Jason Moore:That's certainly how I lean in. And I think Shipley's a good back with that offensive line. Something happens to Saquon after the massive 417 carry workload last year. Then, yeah. Still be in ship shape.

43:10Mike Wright:Nice.

43:11Jason Moore:Okay.

43:12Mike Wright:Commanders, they haven't played the play tonight. So, NFC North, winners of every offseason, champions of every offseason. Chicago Bears. Caleb looked good. Yeah. 97-yard touchdown drive. Five for six for 97 yards. to uh Zacchaeus right yeah yeah of course right because yeah because you got what like Colston uh you've got Burden you've got a dunesay you've got dj more had a couple catches yeah yeah I mean

43:40Andy Holloway:and it was uh wee little man they yeah very nice they the bears are going to be tough of like are they gonna play a lot of 12 personnel like where I like Luther Burden a lot but is this is there a scenario where he's just not on the field because they got they got commit and out there

44:03Mike Wright:commit made a big play lovelin made a big play they both split snaps in terms of like being on the field so that that's the problem they paid commit two years ago or a year ago really and he's a good player yeah he is so it's like you know this is a guy that's going to occasionally just steal targets from colston loveland and he should i mean that's that's how it should work for the team to do well. Not for your fantasy team, but for the team.

44:26Jason Moore:It's wonderful for Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson to have so many legitimately good options. It should work. Especially with the offensive line improvements. It should work.

44:39Mike Wright:Please do. Detroit. They rested the starters, but Mike, if you need to go to the pants store again. No. What?

44:49Jason Moore:He avoids that place now.

44:51Mike Wright:Can you delete a location off of your Google Maps? the pants store oh if he searches pants nothing comes up make a choice mean do not buy stock we're talking about isaac tesla yes who uh five targets four catches 41 yards and a beast of a touchdown in their preseason he also looks gigantic like he looks like yeah i mean he is he's a very

45:12Jason Moore:large but i mean there's plenty of wide receivers out there that are six two six three or whatever He's 6 '4", 215. Yeah, he looks like he's 6 '8". I mean, I feel like he's just... Maybe he's playing with more backups and they're tiny, but...

45:27Andy Holloway:That's where I will... As excited as I am long-term for Isaac Tesla, he's not running with the starters right now. But he will be interesting to keep an eye on, waiver-wise. Injuries as well? My belief in the... Looking at the depth chart and the talent, It's like Aminorah and J-Mo, they're locked in. Tesla, like a month in, he could be the wide receiver three.

45:53Jason Moore:Well, remember, there were weeks where that, over the last couple years, whether it was Josh Reynolds was having a stretch, Tim Patrick, you know, that third wide receiver has moments. So if he shows enough flashes, and they paid a lot to get him.

46:09Andy Holloway:They did. Three third rounders, essentially.

46:11Jason Moore:Yeah, because they had to trade two to use a third. that's a lot of capital to give up for someone who going into this draft season the NFL draft I don't think enough people didn't know his name because he had no production he was overdrafted from expectation yes but he has had the drum beat all offseason and then preseason he looks good you got to start paying attention to Tesla they're a team that goes and gets the guy that they think

46:36Mike Wright:is going to make the biggest impact yes they do they're very convicted about their players in the draft of late green bay mostly all the starters rested i talked about marshall and lloyd getting hurt again i mean you have to say it emmanuel wilson is right now josh jacobs backup yep and he's always kind of made the most of his opportunities minnesota everyone rested that mattered nothing there falcons same story first and second string rested everybody but let's talk about Carolina Chuba Hubbard played 67 % of the snaps with the starters um he was uh you know he gave way to Rico Dowdle on third downs so that's kind of how I mean Chuba Hubbard was always the catch it and fall down guy last year with the targets but Dowdle seems like he'll have a shot to

47:23Jason Moore:be a third down back every week I think he should we got two years in a row of Chuba being extraordinarily inefficient in the receiving game. Great running back between the tackles, but passing to him has been like a negative play for them.

47:38Mike Wright:Can either of you find a way to say good things about the Saints? It does seem like an actual battle for which bad quarterback is going to start. It seems like Spencer Rattler is going to be the guy to me from what I see on film. Alave had a drop in the game. Rattler was okay, but Spencer Rattler as your quarterback. Do you have a snake, man? I think he's looking for a snake. I got a snake, man. What is your thoughts on the...

48:03Jason Moore:The one bright spot is Shahid was moved around a little bit more, in the slot a little bit more. So that'd be good if they involve him on some easy stuff. Because I feel like with Shahid it's always been, you go deep, I'm going to throw you a bomb, and you have big plays, but very low consistency. It would be nice because he's not a bad player. No, I think he's a very good player. so if he could if he could get more involvement there that that could be good you'll be excited

48:31Mike Wright:about uh the one-handed uh emeka egbuka grab oh i was grab but for tampa i mean he impressed and then mcmillan and then mcmillan got hurt and guy godwin's on the pup it's like a book could be like the path is cleared like it's like week one you're the starter with mike evans it yeah it certainly seems that way uh also i was personally like i'm a bucky irving fan but i also acknowledge like you've got a committee situation there were some camp highlights of bucky making downfield catches and it's like okay cool that's camp he did it again in this game he caught like a deep touchdown on a wheel and made a competitive catch if he gets involved more in the passing game because you know when he's out there it's better that the defense has that in the you know in their minds that you have a running back that's not just uh between the tackles guy they can get him involved in the passing game it changes his ceiling oh for sure i mean that that would be

49:28Jason Moore:that would be what takes his current average draft cost and actually makes it pay off because right now it feels like he's being drafted near his ceiling um because he didn't have that was hit

49:39Andy Holloway:so i'm looking uh you know i'm in the udk right now looking at it on sleeper in half he is behind

49:46Jason Moore:jonathan taylor now there's that he fallen though that he was definitely ahead of jonathan

49:50Andy Holloway:yeah i thought so too so josh jacobs is at eight taylor's at nine buck he's at 10 oh yeah okay

49:56Jason Moore:okay yeah that's that's fine i think when we started this process he was early he was seven he was running back seven where it was like gosh that's like when he had his breakout he was basically about running back seven and we were wondering

50:08Mike Wright:and if you don't have targets uh people are hurt in the wide receiver room it can benefit the running back room um two teams in the nfc west pretty much rested everybody and didn't do much cardinals uh they arrested everybody brissette's their backup to kyler he looked okay and then um the rams same story it was stetson bennett quorum ran ahead of hunter that was only note i had to

50:32Andy Holloway:to mention backups for kyron we did get a photo of matthew stafford or no sorry this is a video Matthew Stafford at practice. Today? Yep. That's a big deal. Red jersey on.

50:46Mike Wright:Okay. All right. Stay safe. Stay safe. Be healthy. We need you. 49ers. Pearsall looked great. He's going to – I mean, he was a starter. He might be one of the most undervalued players in fantasy because I think he's going like wide receiver 45 or something stupid. And no Ayuk, no Jennings. Jennings is dealing with contract and injury. I would also say like nobody talks about Demarcus Robinson but Demarcus Robinson has been a fantasy contributor before right and is currently like I know he he's probably going to get a suspension that's what we're waiting on but regardless like him being I'm telling you the way he's playing with the starters like okay if he gets a game or two like is I you back in a game or two no yeah I mean like Jennings still hurt like they have to run wide receivers out there so Pierce all seems like a highly undervalued player.

51:38Jason Moore:Pearsall's early camp injury was really great for the ADP because he was, you know, he missed camp last year with the injuries, had, you know, the unfortunate shot. And then this year, he was starting to get drafted pretty high, you know, a lot of hype because of the depth chart. And then when he missed time to start camp, people just forgot about him. Yeah. I agree with you, Andy. I think his value, where he's going in drafts, is you can see his upside, and you can't always see the players around him with a path to greatness.

52:13Mike Wright:All right, and the final team, and I have a few notes on him, Seattle. First of all, the offense was humming. It looked great. Charbonnet looked awesome. Yeah. He's healthy. Right now, Ken Walker's on his, quote, he's on a plan. I don't like the way you talk about the plan, Andy. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Have you ever had a plan? you follow it now the plan for the seahawks might be charbonnet being more involved than you think

52:38Andy Holloway:what do you think of that plan uh i didn't read that in the plan so i don't know where you're picking that up he did he he definitely could be um it could be more more like that's if i had a

52:48Mike Wright:plan for ken walker that involved him not practicing every once in a while it might involve other

52:52Andy Holloway:players playing running back too it definitely could be the plan that it's more timeshare the The way I just look at the Seattle situation. One, Charbonnet last year came in on a couple games because Ken Walker misses time. He has to rest. And Charbonnet looked better last year. He has to rest. He did it. He burns real bright. He has to rest. I'm more excited about just this was the hope, the scheme, that even though the offensive line is not talent-wise what we want. It might be better than we think. Yeah, maybe the line is better than we think. And also, the Kubiak run system is just such a good run system.

53:32Andy Holloway:And while Charbonnet is a good player, and maybe he gets more involved than we want, Ken Walker is, when healthy, is a much better player than Charbonnet is, in my opinion. A much, much better, more explosive running back.

53:47Mike Wright:I think he's better at a lot of things, not everything. but it is possible that Sam Darnold could legit be the quarterback to the unexpectedly better offenses back-to-back seasons.

54:00Andy Holloway:I am so excited to be doubting Sam Darnold and then have him prove us all wrong.

54:05Mike Wright:That'll be fun, but I'm going to doubt you. Kevin O 'Connell and then Kubiak, those are good minds. Speaking of the wide receivers in the pass catchers, Cooper Cupp lined up inside of JSN on most all of their reps. So you were talking about two guys that are slot-dominant players, Cooper Cup in the slot more. It's also worth noting that the athletically gifted, they let go of Noah Fant. Elijah Arroyo right now played as the tight end three, played into the fourth quarter. A.J. Barner seems –

54:35Andy Holloway:A.J. Barner. Michael Martin.

54:38Mike Wright:Michael Martin. Michael Martin. Michael Martin. A.J. Barner. Oh, I like that. He's a veteran. I like him. Look, A.J. Barner is a second-year guy, and he played eight of ten snaps with sam darnold so for seattle that was the story and that was week two of the preseason in terms of a quick takeaway for every team all of the udk rankings i did a huge rankings update yesterday we'll keep tweaking them this week and get you ready for your drafts we're going to um yeah brooks would like you guys to know aj barner had one less touchdown than dk Metcalf did in the offense last year. So, A.J. Barner fan, Brooks, Carmine.

55:15Mike Wright:Alright, let's do some mailbag.

55:20Jason Moore:Mailbag.

55:26Mike Wright:Why is Richard Nixon coaching these teams? I'm not a brook. Oh my gosh. Mike is dead. You guys got a lot of sleep last night?

55:37Jason Moore:Oh man. I didn't sleep at all. This weekend was... Oh, that's fun. That's a good time. It's a good time. No, I had a solid eight hours of sleep. Combined. Yeah, over the last four days. So that's

55:49Mike Wright:an old school coach. Oh, yeah. That's the college coach that's up in the face of all the players screaming and yelling. Yeah.

56:00Mike Wright:All right. Let's start the mailbag. By the way, if you have a question, you can go to the website, thefantasyfootballers.com. That's where all of our rankings and resources are. You can click that submit a question button or you can dial the voicemail hotline for uh to get on the show 302-464-TFFB we'll go ahead and start with the voicemail hey baller see you fan of the show quick

56:18Andy Holloway:question our league manager took away the ir spot and made it into a regular bench spot is this a good idea or is it the same as if you were just to have or better if you were to have an open spot

56:29Jason Moore:thanks it's certainly not the same yeah those are different uh those are different things yeah um first of all, we don't know how many bench spots you have. So he's wondering, is it better to replace an IR with just a full regular bench spot? I would say that if you usually have four bench spots, yeah, sure. Because I think you probably don't have enough bench. Add another bench. The downside with adding too many bench spots is it makes the waiver wire not as fun. The fewer people out there to bid over and compete over every single week. So how many bench spots do you guys usually prefer to have?

57:08Andy Holloway:Five. Yeah, five. Yeah, that's where I land. Five, six. I think it's okay to have a deeper bench as long as you have the people in the league are for that of knowing that it's going to be a shallow league.

57:19Jason Moore:Deeper benches are fun if you have deeper starting roster spots. If you've got a double flex, that's great because what it does is it still makes the waiver wire interesting because you're going to be needing to play some garbage.

57:32Mike Wright:and Demarcus Robinson is like important then yeah so it does impact um obviously the amount of talent that'll be out on the waiver wire if you convert and add one more bench spot because everybody's gonna not everybody's got somebody on IR but everybody will have a right bench player a six bench player so it'll take 12 names off the waiver wire right there um good or bad decision that's league specific I think I like there being an IR spot in general though I don't really love there not being an IR spot. It just handcuffs teams in too big of a way, I think.

58:06Jason Moore:If you're in a league right now that's getting ready to go for next year and you don't have IR, you should bring that up for a vote. Having an IR spot is so good. It's more fun. It's better strategy. It feels like it really sucks when you have an injury and you don't have a guy to drop and you're forced to drop someone injured. NFL has IR. Add IR to your league.

58:29Mike Wright:All right. Kyle from Instagram writes in, are people sleeping on Bryce Young as a fantasy football flyer? They are starting the year at Jacksonville, at Arizona, underdogs in those, then at home against Atlanta, and then on the road against New England. Mike, you've spoken very highly of Bryce Young in terms of making that offense move.

58:47Andy Holloway:I think he's a fine flyer. After the bye week, he was on pace for 430 rushing yards. That's the thing. is Bryce has to give us at least something like that for him to make his way into the top 12. He will be a streaming option. I'm excited for the Carolina Panthers offense to see if he really takes that step moving forward. So as a flyer, sure, but the quarterback position has so many guys late where you're like, no, that guy's a flyer or a sleeper. So Bryce isn't super high on that list for me. He's not one of your targets, but you could certainly see how it

59:28Jason Moore:works adding tetra and mcmillan yes he's i i think datavian sanders is a pretty darn good young tight end he's got enough weapons to throw the ball to if he keeps running if he's going to finish the year with 450 rushing yards he'll he could very easily be a top you know 15 quarterback

59:45Mike Wright:mikey from instagram how should i view cj stroud this year it feels like he was a player we talked about incessantly all last offseason and almost not at all this offseason you know you just you just brought up Bryce Young is he a potential flyer like CJ Stroud is a level above that

1:00:00Jason Moore:but never discussed at all I don't know that he is a level above that and just in the sense that you're you're not going to be rushing the ball no um you know last year what did he have 233 rushing yards yeah so he's a pocket passer the offensive line has gotten worse the run game seems banged up and older uh you got Nico that's great but you've you've got to have other players here step up and if you look at his consistency versus Bryce Young's like CJ Stroud's an F in our consistency score this last year because without running the ball you've got to throw 4 ,030 touchdowns as a pocket passer and that's I feel like it's an uphill battle to do

1:00:46Mike Wright:that with his current weapons all right YouTube question what is Calvin Ridley's floor with rookie quarterback cam ward last year he was a my guy he was up over a thousand yards receiving in spite of what the will levis mason rudolph disgusto fest but um you know with rookie quarterbacks we have data over the last 14 years only seven receivers got up over a thousand yards with a rookie quarterback so 28 percent um only one rookie quarterback supplied 10 plus receiving touchdowns for a wide receiver it was jayden daniels last year with mclaurin before that happened we had the data we brought it up on the show it didn't happen ever like you just couldn't

1:01:32Andy Holloway:do it yeah the thing for the situation if you have a rookie quarterback you your target share has to be extremely high like it has to be a 26 27 uh type of target share calvin ridley could do that The excitement is for the rookies, and he's really the established main guy there. So if he's getting that, then you'll end up being excited. Oh, breaking news. What you got?

1:02:01Mike Wright:The Cleveland Browns have named Joe Flacco as their official week one starting quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals.

1:02:10Andy Holloway:Oh, baby. Okay. David Njoku, week one. Draft David Njoku. Jerry Judy, week one. We'll see. Jerry, Judy, we'll see. Week one, baby. Njoku is the huge benefactor.

1:02:24Jason Moore:We'll see on the wide receivers. Oh, Jerry, Judy will be great week one. Again, this is against the Bengals. Oh, yeah. They're going to have to score a ton, and it's not a very difficult defense. So after that, trade them. Week one and trade them.

1:02:39Mike Wright:How many games does Joe Flacco start for the Browns out of 17?

1:02:47Andy Holloway:Okay, well, let's run through the opening.

1:02:51Jason Moore:The schedule is not good for them. Cincinnati could happen. Let's say they win that game. Cincinnati gets off to slow starts. Let's just give it to them. Okay, whatever. Just to be crazy.

1:03:03Andy Holloway:At Baltimore. Nah. Green Bay. I'm going to give it to the Packers. Okay, at Detroit. Detroit. Minnesota. Winnable. At home. In Cleveland? Yeah. so the browns he's gonna play like 12 games or more he's gonna play enough that i'm i'm all in

1:03:25Mike Wright:i mean who are they gonna play yeah dylan gabriel no i do her no i feel like this means pick it

1:03:31Jason Moore:doesn't make the roster i mean maybe like if i if i was the browns general manager the the only right path has always been you either name flacco the starter or kenny pickett the starter and then you keep the two rookies and you move forward i you know maybe they keep four quarterbacks No, no, no.

1:03:48Andy Holloway:I think that's the move is you've got to try and trade Kenny Pickett.

1:03:54Mike Wright:It's tough because Pickett's the best of those other guys. You'll have to get up a sixth. Pickett's the best of those guys by far, by far. Yeah, so Joe Flacco's the starter. It's good for fantasy, and hopefully that will last a little bit. But, man, they're underdogs in their first eight weeks. Oh, no, they're – sorry, let me correct that. They are favored by one and a half in week seven against Miami. but otherwise they're underdogs seven of the first eight oh no they are dogs there never mind they're underdogs in all of them they're underdogs but they're just it's not as bad it is the dog pound so they are dogs the dog in them yeah um wow all right uh jason instagram question from jb who will have a better season as a rookie rj harvey or caleb johnson rj harvey

1:04:41Jason Moore:you know i'm harvey i'm not gonna answer this question stupid arthur smith okay i'm nothing

1:04:48Mike Wright:i'm not gonna i'm not gonna lecture you on players whose name begins with k and ends with johnson thank you rookie season thank you um all right let's grab no further questions at this time

1:04:57Jason Moore:another voicemail hey ballers what is some input and advice that you would give to those of us that are in keeper leagues. Thanks, guys.

1:05:07Mike Wright:So general keeper league advice. One of the things people tend to do is hyper emphasize their keepers. And the truth is, is if you're in a keeper league, unless it's some exhaustive, huge amount, which borders on dynasty, you're keeping a couple guys. Maybe it's one, two, three players. Sometimes it's at a draft cost. Sometimes it's just a no cost at all. But you see people kind of building their roster around this ideal that They're going to have, you know, you get this name on your team and he's going to be your keeper for five years in a row and they're locked and loaded on your team. And it's just very, very rare in the lifespan of players to live under that, in that world.

1:05:46Mike Wright:Like, and I see people lock themselves in. They don't want to trade players because of that. You're not, your keepers are going to turn over all the time.

1:05:55Jason Moore:Yeah, the biggest mistake people make in keeper leagues is overemphasizing age. Age matters a lot in dynasty. you know if you if you're 26 deep and and you've got that roster forever but when you've got three guys james connor can be a keeper no problem great no problem and and he's an elder statement

1:06:11Mike Wright:like you don't need statesman you don't need his statement is old statements to over emphasize the

1:06:19Jason Moore:and so i would basically treat it almost exactly like a redraft yeah i mean the perfect example

1:06:26Mike Wright:would be like if somebody's excited about rj harvey and they're like man i'm not going to trade him for Saquon because yes you know what I mean like that yeah in a keeper league it's like oh man he's gonna be good in a few years it's like go win the league because the other that's the mistake the other league mates are gonna make at least some of them and so then you have an advantage over them for sure so uh we've got breakout sleepers values bus episodes coming out we've got our fantasy mvp episode mock drafts coming out it's a hot week uh we've got the time machine episode in the near future so a lot of big time shows and a big announcement tomorrow I'll see you sleeping right now.
