In short
Fantasy Footballers episode covering (1) league trade/waiver activity, (2) waiver “Backup Options,” (3) NFL news and how it affects fantasy (notably Bengals QB Joe Flacco, Browns QB situation, Ravens/Lamar, Jags/Travis Hunter), (4) Thursday Night Football preview (Eagles vs Giants), and (5) a 2025 fantasy draft “redo” (two-round mock).
Guests
Hosts only—Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, Mike Wright. No additional guest interviewees mentioned.
Key claims
- Trade strategy: managers sell “future assets” to contend; one league trade had Josh Jacobs acquired after A.J. Brown/Travis Hunter/Chris Olave-type assets were moved.
- Bengals: Joe Flacco gives a “slight bump” and more passing floor for Ja’Marr Chase/Tee Higgins, but not to top-3 ceiling due to offensive line pressure (PFF pressure ranks cited).
- Backup Options: Zach Ertz is worth holding/stashing; Kate Otten is a strong snap-share play; Isaac “Tesla” (Lions) could take a WR3 role if Kalif Raymond misses.
- TNF: Eagles are heavy favorites; start Cam Scadaboo as the Giants’ lead back/target hog; avoid Theo Johnson vs strong Eagles TE defense.
Notable examples
- Eagles neutral pass rates by week cited (rising to ~79%).
- Waiver drops list on Sleeper (e.g., Sean Tucker, Justice Hill, Xavier Scott, etc.).
- Draft redo top picks: Jonathan Taylor, Puka Nacua, Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameer Gibbs, Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, J.S. (JSN), Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, and Emeka/Drake London/James Cook/Breece Hall/Josh Allen/Garrett Wilson/Jonathan “Judkins” (as discussed).

1:30Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your Your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
1:48Mike Wright:Welcome in.
1:58Mike Wright:Welcome to our podcast, the Fantasy Footballers. Mike Wright, Jason Moore, Andy Holloway maybe you're watching maybe you're listening week six on the way our own league of record has been hyperactive on the trade front, people making decisions apparently five weeks into the year about their futures and whether they think they are contenders or pretenders or planners for next year
2:29Jason Moore:she's been popping Last week, I was trying to make a trade where I was basically playing for the future. Because I'm like, I'm on the bubble. I'm in the playoffs right now. But I didn't have the team that looked like it could win. And I was trying to...
2:44Mike Wright:Then I benched Rico Dowdle and gave you confidence that you could, like, you didn't lose. That was helpful.
2:49Jason Moore:And I have withstood victories through the CeeDee Lamb injury. And so then last night I decided I found a good deal where I sold some of my future assets, and I'm in now. And then that inspired Papa Josh to say, well, I'll see your - Papa Josh threw these picks.
3:08Andy Holloway:He's like, are we going to be alive tomorrow? I don't know.
3:10Jason Moore:Yeah. I think he's quitting the league after this year because he traded all of next year's draft, basically.
3:17Mike Wright:Yeah, he went all in. So, yeah, we've had a lot of trade stuff going on. We had the waiver wire just go through.
3:22Andy Holloway:Oh, yes. We have to bring this up. Josh, thank you for reminding us. You know, when you get the alert and you're like, and it's for sleepers, trade has been accepted. You're like, ooh, what is this? So this is last night. We all scramble. Fire it open. Yeah, big trade. Big trade has gone through. Jason got Josh Jacobs. And Jason responds to his own trade with white guy blinking gif. Yeah, you're not allowed to do that. And we're like, wait, hold on. It couldn't have surprised you.
3:53Mike Wright:yeah no it did you were surprised by your own trade this was like whoa look at this trade that
3:59Jason Moore:i did yeah well it was one of those things where i had made this offer it was my co-manager and i we were in the office you sent the offer yeah but but i send plenty offers okay and and i don't always expect them i was gonna say they must be bad because not many of your trades go through yeah exactly that's the point and so then i just saw a trade has been completed and like i was saying i was kind of on the bubble am i in going for this year am i not and then it was like oh okay it went through i guess uh i guess i'm in so yeah that was me being surprised it's like when a dog farts and it's like whoa yes who did that yeah that's we were all trying to figure out
4:40Mike Wright:who put this trade through oh my gosh it did throw me off because when i saw the gift i was like oh it must not involve you and the trade congratulations for those wondering i traded a.j
4:50Jason Moore:brown uh who was my trade away candidate uh and my second round pick and travis hunter for josh jacobs my trade for candidate and um chris orlave so it was great it was uh our league good
5:03Mike Wright:trade have you seen those neutral uh neutral pass rates for the eagles over the last five weeks
5:09Andy Holloway:oh they gotta be i would pull it up passing a lot but i'm not logged into twitter oh so you'll need
5:15Mike Wright:to pull up matthew betts's look pull up matthew betts's tweet and read these off for a second look going to fa on that yeah live oh my gosh yeah possible look i was having computer problems like cleared all my cookies is the worst mistake of my life worst mistake of my now i can't do
5:29Jason Moore:anything eagles neutral there you go pass rate by week yep 36 barf 38 barf 59 okay okay 62 72%. Okay. 79%. So they were...
5:43Mike Wright:How'd that work out for them?
5:44Jason Moore:Well, win, win, win, win, loss is how it's worked out for their record.
5:50Mike Wright:Yeah. So I think things will get better for A.J. Brown. I agree. No questions.
5:55Andy Holloway:He's so difficult right now.
5:57Mike Wright:Yeah, he is. And I think Josh Jacobs is great moving forward. So it'll be fun. We've got a jam-packed show. We've got backup options. we've got nfl news including the big trade that happened moments after we finished recording yesterday with joe flacco we have thursday night preview and we'll be talking more about them eagles and then we we're going to do a 2025 fantasy draft redo and i think we got some mail back too right yes sir we got it all we'll be here all day long congratulations right now the dax stack is in the lead in the megalo bowl 20 000 of you playing in the dax stack crazy joe Those are the top two in the current Megalobull rank.
6:36Mike Wright:Jason, did you break into the top 1 ,000?
6:38Jason Moore:I'm on it. Let me check. I doubt it. I think I'm still undefeated. Yeah, you're just not making the scoring of points. I'm just not scoring enough points. It doesn't matter right now. I'm saving it up when the playoffs come. Yeah. Oh, that's smart. Store them up.
6:52Mike Wright:Stash the points.
6:56Mike Wright:All right. Well, look, congratulations. You're not in the top 1 ,000. The Dak stack, crazy Joe. Oh, I'm 9-1. I am actually 2 ,917. Things have really taken a turn. Moving on.
7:14Jason Moore:Backup Options, presented by Progressive Insurance.
7:21Mike Wright:Well, the waiver wire just went through in all of our leagues, and we always want you to drop it like it's hot. Pay attention to who was let go as a result of all the waiver signings. the most dropped players on sleeper in the last 24 hours that will play do you care do you not care uh sean tucker uh yeah i care right now i'll bucky's hurt i don't think you understand the rules of the game i said yeah i care okay you're gonna have to go quick i got a big list all right uh justice hill no no chris rodriguez no bashal tootin yes yes oh you do care mike's taking mike's i got it all right uh xavier scott no ollie gordon no isaiah davis yeah yeah a little bit brashad smith deep deep league yeah darius slayton malik washington jalen tolbert
8:05Andy Holloway:uh nope zach ertz jason cares but i do not no i don't either taste some hill no and then um
8:14Mike Wright:all right defenses is whatever but so if you did not get the pickups that you were hoping for you didn't bid correctly or you didn't have the roster room yet you hadn't dropped somebody whatever we want to give you every week some backup options some players that you might be able to pull off the waiver wire and spot start jason i went with tight ends this week i want to hear jason's well okay i won't share mine then well since we already uh said jason does while you
8:38Jason Moore:guys don't zackerts to me is a guy that is going to be clearly dropped in in basically every league out there why but why because he had a goose egg he went he did nothing but but that's why he likes him he had a bad game and in this game that was the you know the breakthrough of of Bill Krosky having his monstrous game Jaden Daniels didn't do much in that game it was it was a really weird game script and one target to Zach Ertz but that's obviously not what usually happens with Jaden Daniels and Zach Ertz we have plenty of history here of those two out there together I mean he was the tight end eight last year with Jaden Daniels the first two games of the season He was the tight end nine and the tight end two, scoring double-digit fantasy points both weeks.
9:21Jason Moore:Then Jaden Daniels was injured. Snap counts were very high then. Did you know that? Yeah. 90%. For one of them, 64 % in the other. And so my point is, you look and it's like three bad weeks in a row. But two of those were Marcus Mariota. You shouldn't have been playing him anyways. And one bad game with Jaden Daniels doesn't mean Zach Ertz is going to vanish from this offense. I think it's a mistake. I am speaking as someone who is currently trying to figure out the tight end position. I didn't get any of the big, big names. I tried to bid up for Darren Waller. I got outbid. I tried to trade for Tyler Warren.
9:58Jason Moore:I got out trade offered. And so I'm still rostering Zach Ertz right now. I picked up Meowson Taylor. I'm trying to figure it out. But I think it would be a mistake to just drop Zach Ertz and say, well, he's done.
10:12Mike Wright:Yeah, no, that's fair. And I want to flag another tight end who played 92 % of snaps, who had 81 yards receiving. It's Kate Otten. So you're talking about this tight end landscape. We've seen him be fantasy relevant for multiple weeks in a row. It's just interesting. Four for 81 is a nice line. Playing almost every snap. That's great. And then Godwin's really not been anything yet. Not yet. Evans is not back yet. I think Kate Otten might be worthy of a spot start. All right. And I want to talk about my guy.
10:42Andy Holloway:cover your ears everyone we did not adjust the volume i know it's good stuff isaac tesla of the detroit lions this is being brought up because uh right now kalief raymond is banged up there is a there's a chance that he misses this isn't a an absolute must add but someone you could just throw on the back of a bench and i mean tesla has he has showed up in all the opportunities that he has been given should he get to be a full-time wide receiver three for Detroit this week, there's a chance that he really shows up and he just takes that job. And as of right now, Jamison Williams, he's getting targets, but it's just not coming through.

11:22Andy Holloway:There is a space in fantasy football leagues for Isaac Tesla to be stashed and maybe get that role really going. Okay.
11:32Mike Wright:That was Backup Options sponsored by Progressive Insurance. Quote today at Progressive.com. Let's talk news.
11:39Jason Moore:news and notes from around the league presented by progressive insurance
11:46Mike Wright:it seems like more often than not we've been very fortunate a lot of breaking news and trades and things have happened like while we're recording or just before recording yesterday right after we finished recording we got the big news that the bangles had acquired joe flacco from the browns and it was like oh darn we didn't get to react to it i think that was good in this specific instance because the knee-jerk immediate reaction was hallelujah Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins are saved.
12:16Jason Moore:Yep. That was my initial thought. I was like, wow. Because we had just talked on the show about how I think it's going to get worse. You've only got Brett Rippon farts behind Browning right now.
12:29Mike Wright:Yeah, it's your shell high chance for Chase after the game. Yeah, you should sell him.
12:31Jason Moore:And as soon as that news came through, they traded for Joe Flacco. is like oh man I wish we didn't say all better sell him it's all better they fix the whole they get an old line with Flacco and and that's the thing is like Flacco's about to die Flacco he's going to be hit a lot I mean Jake Browning is Lamar Jackson if you're just talking about the legs compared to Joe you're not wrong and so and and so is so is Burrow Burrow's great with pocket awareness and movement and all of that and he just i mean this offensive line doesn't exist for
13:03Mike Wright:the bangles you put a statue there yeah he snaps the ball and he puts his feet in two buckets of cement that's how he gets ready to throw the football and jj zacharison had shared this his rating under pressure according to pff joe flackos out of in 2024 41st out of 43 qualified quarterbacks one under pressure it's not last this year 36 out of 38 also not last but like the reason he he did not start in cleveland because they pulled him off the field because he was turning the ball over and getting sacked too much and not moving the offense so look jerry judy and isaiah bond are not t higgins and jimmar chase he will he will give a little bit more of a floor to those guys in my opinion but not to the level of potential excitement that your league mates might have and that that's where
13:50Jason Moore:you have to ask yourself are they still a sell yes this is this is good news for the bangles offense it is because you we talked about you had brett ripping farts behind him that's worse than joe flacco this is who who was got released yeah oh all right yeah nice quiet but yeah it was pretty it was pretty silent yeah um silent unnoticed no one cared not deadly at all and um so this is good news it is good news for t higgins for jamar chase but it is not great news jamar chase is not back jamar chase is not gonna be a top three wide receiver with joe flacco um with this offensive line and so is this a trade opportunity i think you you just see if maybe someone is completely hyped like oh my gosh i'm willing to pay preseason Jamar Chase you know.
14:43Andy Holloway:You're not getting that.
14:44Jason Moore:But people go crazy with news. I mean last year when Amari Cooper got traded to the Buffalo Bills it was like oh my gosh he's got Josh Allen. Josh Allen's got and someone traded him for Jamar Chase just on the hype of the news. I don't know. Someone accepted a trade but go on. Okay someone accepted a trade but my point is people do wild things with hype news. And if you can get a wild thing then I would be willing to do it.
15:09Mike Wright:It's hope and it's the you think you're the sharp right you think you're the one that's going to take advantage of the situation it's like buying you know buying a stock that's really low that could go way up and
15:19Andy Holloway:the hope for me with flacco is flacco is he's just he has a he's a better quarterback than than jake browning so it's like the the quick stuff i think that flacco will be able to identify the quick hitting passes, get it out better and faster than Jake Browning. And should they call a double move, I think that Flacco will see it faster. So it's just about processing. So I think that you get a slight bump up. Yes, yes. But you do. My tweet was literally, it's something. Yeah, it is. Because they had to do something. Their division is somehow still not out of reach, which is absolutely absurd.
16:02Jason Moore:Them starting 2-0 and the collapse of the Ravens have set them up to where you're just trying to find a way to get Joe Burrow back for the playoffs.
16:10Andy Holloway:Also, Joe Flago is playing the Packers again. He beat them. He did. He beat them once. I don't think the Bengals' defense will play as well as the Browns' defense did. You don't think so?
16:23Mike Wright:I don't. Okay. Could be wrong. The earliest that I'm seeing Burrow able to get back since he had surgery on September 19th is basically the Week 16 game. So Burrow will not be seen again unless they're optimistic.
16:39Jason Moore:And that is so optimistic.
16:43Andy Holloway:I hope it happens. It would be real fun if Joe Flacco was good. Also, the fact of if you get through Week 16, Joe Flacco has somehow helped carry this team to the playoffs. And they'll be like, see ya, pal.
16:55Mike Wright:thanks so much maybe it's joe burrow time yeah they're um yeah this report seems insane to me
17:03Andy Holloway:well dylan gabriel is going to be the starter in in cleveland yeah and um yeah there's there's
17:07Mike Wright:follow-out on the other side too you know like i thought gabriel managed the game pretty well uh he's not a special player necessarily if this is real i'm shocked wait mary k cabot says brown's head coach kevin stefanski will wait until later in the week to decide if shador sanders will be
17:24Jason Moore:the number two right now shador sanders is the number two because he's the only other quarterback on the roster but they did sign someone to the practice really tweeted that it's pretty is that
17:34Mike Wright:can we verify that that's the real person because that just seems well she is a real person but no i know that it's a screenshot it's a screenshot i know that she's a real person um i just i i'm a in the world of ai yeah that's and it not being a direct link to a tweet I'm just wanting to never trust a screenshot of the tweet. If you have two quarterbacks in your roster and you have to come out and say the second one might not be your two. Bailey Zappi I just think that's wild.
18:06Jason Moore:It was her, yes. So it's real. So Bailey Zappi is on the practice squad.
18:11Mike Wright:That's an unacceptably bad comment for the future of Jadour Sanders. We all assume he'll get snaps this year.
18:18Jason Moore:When this trade happened it was like I don't think Dylan Gabriel is going to be able to do enough to where he's just locked in every week no matter what for the rest of the season the Browns are winning so many games that the calls for the Shadour Sanders won't come so Shadour Sanders should get starts but that's only if he's the backup he said he
18:37Mike Wright:wants to do what's best for the team and the players and that they're trying to develop Shadour Sanders very intentionally but you're gonna draft a quarterback next year yeah that's the issue so find out now yeah they may develop a path out of cleveland for him jalen warren arrow pointed up for his return i like the quote is arrow is pointed normal is it arrow is pointing okay
19:02Andy Holloway:the arrow's pointing arrow's pointing up not not for tomlin the arrow is pointed up it's already
19:06Mike Wright:done i'll be honest with you that didn't really stand out as strange to me at all really no no the arrow's pointed up no that seems fine you think it's weird i'm with mike okay all right Sounds weird. I'm glad. Lamar Jackson, uphill battle to play against the Rams.
19:23Jason Moore:And they've got the bye week right afterwards. So I think we'd all be surprised if Lamar plays this week.
19:29Mike Wright:And if they won, I'd be very surprised if that happened too. I think they are four. Seven and a half points. Oh, is it seven and a half?
19:35Jason Moore:Favorites last I saw.
19:36Mike Wright:Underdogs?
19:37Jason Moore:The Ravens? The Rams were a favorite. Yeah.
19:39Mike Wright:Wow. Britton Strange went to IR with a quad injury for the Jags. This is. It's a bummer. It's a bummer for Britton Strange. it does mean that Travis Hunter has a future here. They said they're going to start throwing him the ball more down the field. You need that, right? He's capable of the big play. He had a monstrous play that changed the game. He's going to get more offensive snaps and more opportunities with. Britton Strange, he was sucking up, what, seven, eight targets a game? Naeem Hines signed to the Chargers practice squad. That situation with the running backs there, you know, maybe somebody emerges.
20:11Mike Wright:But my biggest problem there is there's optimism about Hampton returning after just four weeks. And so I feel like you need at least a week to get clarity. And there's a chance that that week gives you none. So it's just a little bit, to me, it's just a little bit of a mess because it's very short term. And I don't know that you can trust. How long have we had no Eckler in Washington? How many weeks? Three? Quite a while. Yeah, I mean. So that's a good example of like people benched Ja 'Cory Kreisky-Meritt last week. Right. Because he didn't get opportunities two weeks before.
20:44Andy Holloway:It was in the middle of week two.
20:46Mike Wright:Yeah, so like that is kind of the template that I'm seeing right now in Los Angeles is that if you played Chris Rodriguez or you played Ja 'Cory Kreisky-Meritt, it hurts you for two weeks. And then finally you play the wrong guy or you sit one guy down and then by the time that's done, Hampton's back. That's my worry. There is a chance. There's an opportunity. But I think it's going to be on the arm of Herbert more often than not.
21:06Jason Moore:Probably true. I think they will have to put the ball in Herbert's hands. The schedule coming up, the Dolphins, Colts, Vikings, and Titans are the four weeks that Hampton will for sure miss.
21:19Mike Wright:All right. That was news and notes sponsored by Progressive Insurance. Quote today at Progressive.com. 23:47Jason Moore:A palantrum.
23:49Mike Wright:The Philadelphia Eagles are seven-point road favorites here. The over-under is 40-1. This game makes me really want to believe in an upset. at home in New York Thursday night short week banged up Saquon Eagles um you know the offense hasn't been great the Giants defense is pretty good I can't get there I'd like to but I can't the Eagles are heavy favorites in this one but coming off a loss they're going to play pretty well they haven't lost very many games over the last what 23 24 matchups Giants just looked pretty inept after the strong start against the Saints Saints get their first win of the year against them um they turned the ball over on five consecutive possessions against the saints in that game it was crazy you know jackson dart is a reasonably okay fantasy player because he's
24:41Jason Moore:running the football but against this defense in super flex leagues maybe because i think he's a quarterback too i don't think you would start him you know i think in the right well i think in the
24:54Andy Holloway:The issue for him is just turnovers. I mean, like the Saints were able to do it because it's like his stat line, 202 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 55. Someone hit the button for me. I don't got it. Thank you. 55 rushing yards. All of those numbers turned into the quarterback 16 because of turnovers. So that is an issue. It is. that the Eagles are going to take that ball away.
25:27Mike Wright:Yeah, no, it's very fair. And then Cam Scadaboo.
25:33Jason Moore:He's a must start in every matchup.
25:35Andy Holloway:What about Tyrone Tracy? They're optimistic that Tracy will play.
25:39Jason Moore:I will personally be starting Cam Scadaboo every week until I am shown that Tyrone Tracy is 50-50 with him or Tyrone Tracy's back to the lead. I am personally assuming that Cam Scadaboo is going to be the lead guy here, especially in the first week back for Tyrone Tracy. The opportunities, the workload that they've given him, they are using him as their dude.
26:05Mike Wright:You do have to look at that. It's been really inefficient for two weeks in a row. It's wild to turn 27 opportunities into 12 fantasy points, 22 opportunities into 11.4 fantasy points. But then you look at those targets, six receptions last week, You know, Jackson Darts only started for two weeks. So, yeah, I think I'm with you. I would have – I think I would have originally tried to shy away from the Philly matchup, but those opportunity numbers are too big.
26:32Andy Holloway:And no Slayton could turn into even more checkdowns.
26:36Mike Wright:Yeah, I think it's a little Jordan Humphrey coming up to play. All right. They're running out of the pass-catching people.
26:43Jason Moore:And you saw, like, even the last game that Tyrone Tracy played in, um that that was eight targets were still to cam scadaboo so i'm not i'm not going away i don't expect cam scadaboo to have some monstrously awesome game and have easy touchdowns against a great phillies defense but when you touch the ball that many times you should have baseball team yes nice it was it was an apostrophe s it was phillies the phillies phillies good defense yeah sorry um theo johnson say what about theo he's the one like beneficiary the target totals again
27:21Andy Holloway:you like that they don't have a lot of other players yeah you're still trying to find tendencies of jackson dart and five i'm cool with five and seven i mean i'm cool with the darts 25 percent of targets two weeks ago 18 percent the eagles are very good the eagles are very good against
27:38Jason Moore:tight end. So I had claims in, just brought up my personal tight end struggles, and I put claims in on Meowson Taylor and on Theo Johnson, and I put them in that order, specifically, partially because of the matchup this week. This is not a good matchup for Theo Johnson. The Phillies defense has been top five for a long time against tight ends. That's not a good exploitable matchup, and then you also look at like you know Theo this season he hasn't had 35 yards in a game yet I do like him I would be fine picking him up and stashing him but I don't I'm not willing to play him against a really good Phillies baseball team AJ Brown Devante Smith you're gonna play him right
28:23Mike Wright:but Giants are basically dead last against wideouts in the league you've seen the neutral pass rate go up they're heavy favorites you gotta play Brown should be dominant this week I just traded away so i know the pain that's coming so you know jalen hurts they're still 31st in the league in passing yards per game jalen hurts you're gonna play him saquon you're gonna play him dallas goddard he scored a touchdown in three straight games is he okay i'd rather play him than
28:52Jason Moore:theo johnson for sure yeah i mean right now he's the tight end eight on the season and he missed week too so he's been involved um last week it was really touchdowns um the the last three weeks has been touchdowns that has done it for him week one though you saw him involved in the past game seven targets seven receptions so i think you could throw him in your lineup all right any
29:13Mike Wright:other big players in this game that you're looking out for i feel like we covered them all
29:18Andy Holloway:no i think you're good saquon if we didn't say it saquon you know he had the estimated did not practice monday he was limited on tuesday so he seems good to go all right we are going to move on into our draft redo the fantasy footballers mock draft
29:41Mike Wright:all right we are going to go two rounds how fun yeah fantasy draft redo i'm not uh i didn't do a whole lot of preparation for this well we did it would be a good time to
29:52Andy Holloway:remind everyone we do have rest of season rankings yeah you can just go pull those up up on the well
29:57Mike Wright:i just mean like thinking about it in terms of the the two rounds because i kind of wanted to just see how it felt going into yeah yeah but it's like this is a bit of a you know rest of season
30:07Andy Holloway:type of a of a thing and those rankings are available the fantasyfootballers.com if you are interested all right mike you have the first pick in our fantasy draft redo the first two rounds
30:19Mike Wright:if you were drafting today.
30:21Andy Holloway:I'm so happy you have the first pick. There's two guys who I think should be in contention. And I want to know which one you pick. For the first pick.
30:27Mike Wright:And Jason gets the second pick. Cool, I don't get either one.
30:30Andy Holloway:And for me, it's not – one's a running back, one's a wide receiver. So I'm going to take the running back. Interesting. I'm going to take Jonathan Taylor. Oh, wow. I think that Jonathan Taylor is the number one fantasy player. Those are not either of the two names that I was going to say.
30:46Mike Wright:Jonathan Taylor – Were they either of the two names for you?
30:49Jason Moore:I'm going to be honest, they weren't. But I'm excited because I got Jonathan Taylor in the league of record. And he has been utterly dominant, used around the goal line, used in the passing game, and also just looks. Like Christian McCaffrey can be in conversation for this. He's just so involved. But he hasn't looked. He's not one of the names either. No, he wasn't either for me. I mean, for me, it's Bijan and Puka. Yep, those are the two.
31:13Mike Wright:So I'll take whoever you don't take. To me, Puka's the number one, by the way. He's the number one overall.
31:18Jason Moore:It's Jonathan Taylor or Puka. You will get the number one at number three. I'm going to take Bijan Robinson. I think that the running back position is still the most important position right now. I mean, we're two years in a row here where it's like you look at your leagues and you say, who's doing great? And it's the ones that have these dominant running backs.
31:40Mike Wright:Yeah, I feel like Puka's in a tier of his own, and that's why I think he belongs at number one in the same way that Chase was treated this offseason. I'll take Puka Nakua at number three. His steadiness combined with the big, weak upside, it's awesome. So nothing wrong with any of those picks in any order. Puka Nakua will be my selection at number three.
32:01Andy Holloway:Man, he is dominating.
32:03Mike Wright:Yeah, yeah. And we were talking yesterday. Goodness gracious. There were a couple leagues, like our listener league, which we're doing all right in right now. But, like, I took Puka at, I believe, eight. at eight yeah and it was ahead of jefferson it was ahead of amon rossst brown and it was and some other player that people thought i should have taken ahead of him and the reaction to that was like it just is an example of the draft season because there's plenty of other picks i made that were bad uh in every league but in the reaction of like this guy should be in this order right it's
32:34Jason Moore:all stupid five weeks into the year it was crazy when you took puka over justin it was crazy it was like you know what i i'm gonna pull the trigger here is like when when we talk about the next tier of wide receivers. It is a tier down from what Puka has been doing, and Puka hasn't even been doing it with touchdowns. But I love Amon Ra, I love JSN, I love Jefferson, and I don't know how high Puka goes. I don't know how high CeeDee Lamb should, if he's only missing one more game, maybe he's the wide receiver one after that. I don't know. We'll find out. But all of those guys do not feel like in the same class as what Puka is doing week in, week out right now.
33:11Jason Moore:Back to you, Mike. Christian McCaffrey.
33:14Mike Wright:Christian McCaffrey at number four.
33:16Andy Holloway:Who is the running back two and has zero rushing touchdowns. Imagine a world where Christian McCaffrey is doing this, but occasionally scoring a rushing touchdown here or there. Yeah, that would just be like the other years
33:29Mike Wright:that he was the best.
33:30Andy Holloway:I don't know if the run blocking ever actually improves for the 49ers this year, but the volume will be there and receiving touchdowns. He has three of them, and the targets are just he's averaging over 10 targets a game that like it's you can give that to your wide receiver one on your team and you're very very happy it's redonkulous it's absolutely it is
33:55Mike Wright:it is truly redonkulous and it it doesn't seem sustainable but it might be
34:00Jason Moore:it just might be it's sustainable till it's not all right so i'm in my back on the clock you are I'm between two players.
34:09Mike Wright:Yeah, I've got the one I want to fall to me. You've got the one you want.
34:13Jason Moore:I'll just say the two players since we're not building rosters here. No. I am personally between Amon Ross St. Brown, who has just been, after week one's Dodd, just a machine. Yeah. To me, he's the second wide receiver. He's running very hot with touchdowns. He is, but he also is used around the goal line so much. And the lines are around the goal line so much, so it's a nice combination. and Josh Jacobs. Josh Jacobs, one of the things that you do keep in mind when you're making rest of season rankings, when you're looking at trades, Andy brought this up yesterday, is he's passed his bye now. So almost every other player has a game missing, and so if I'm looking at the value of those, he is the running back I would take.
34:58Jason Moore:When I lay both cases out, there are running backs that are closer to Josh Jacobs. to me than there are wide receivers closer to Amon Ra. So I'm going to go Amon Ra.
35:08Mike Wright:Yeah, I'll go back to that Lions. It won't be Jacobs for me. It'll be Jameer Gibbs. I will take Jameer Gibbs. I think Jacobs is in the running there, but I know what I have in Gibbs. I also know that there's an – like I think Gibbs with Montgomery in the backfield is a slightly better play than Jacobs' rest of the season. And what if Montgomery is out? So to me, Gibbs on that roster, the way that they're cooking, I think Gibbs is the pick for me at six.
35:37Jason Moore:Those two running backs have a built-in nuclear option, which is so cool to have them and just know if either one of those – You're saying Montgomery and Gibbs. Yeah, David Montgomery and Gibbs. Obviously, Gibbs far more so.
35:48Mike Wright:I like to visualize that if somebody gets hurt, they walk over to the other guy and give them this vial full of their power. And then they load that power into themselves and accumulate double the stance.
35:59Jason Moore:I mean, if David Montgomery went down, Gibbs is the running back one. He would be the running back one from that point forward. But if Gibbs went down, I think Montgomery could be the running back one. I think he could be. Top 10. Oh, he would definitely be top 10. I'll give you top 10.
36:17Mike Wright:I'll give you top eight. I will take top five. I mean, he did have a lot of career without Jameer Gibbs. Not on the Lions. Not on the Lions, though. He didn't have any without Gibbs on the Lions? I thought he had one year without him. No, I don't think so. Okay.
36:33Andy Holloway:All right, am I back up?
36:35Mike Wright:You are back up, Mike. All right.
36:37Andy Holloway:Pick seven. Somehow it feels disappointing. I'm taking Saquon Barkley. That's where he is in my rest of season rankings, but just behind Jameer Gibbs. It's been disappointing. The huge runs have not been there. perhaps perhaps the the data nerds are correct of it was just too much of a workload last year for Saquon Barkley but he is still for the most part really coming through and I think that things can improve for him and and the Eagles are are stable like the other guys have there's going to be some question marks on the team and the offense the Eagles are going to be in it for the long run so I will take Barkley.
37:20Jason Moore:Yeah I don't mind it makes it makes this pick obviously easy for me since last time I was up I was between Amon Ra and Josh Jacobs I would you know Jacobs and Gibbs I think that is really really really close Jacobs and Barkley is close as well but I have two other
37:33Andy Holloway:guys I would two other running backs I would take before Jacobs yeah I mean I'm I'm obviously hot
37:37Jason Moore:and bothered from for Jacobs yes which is why I went out and traded for him and and hopefully it It comes to fruition, but I'll take Jacobs here.
37:46Mike Wright:All right, Josh Jacobs goes with the eighth pick. So we've had three straight running backs, Gibbs, Barkley, Jacobs. I think there will be a fourth straight running back. I'm just trying to think through. The wide receivers, no, I actually will pivot. I will pivot. I obviously think Jefferson is worthy of the pick here, but I'm actually going to go Jackson Smith and Jacob. Yeah, he's one spot higher for me. I'm going to take J.S. in. He is currently, I think, fifth in points per game at the wide receiver position. there you know a book is ahead of them a dunes is ahead of them right now but obviously you're not just looking at uh what they've done so far jefferson i think is going to get cooking as he always does it would it was between those two at wide receiver for me actually um so i will go with jackson smith and jigba and put some respect on the name of the player that has truly been dominant
38:31Andy Holloway:yeah and i will uh follow it up with justin jefferson yeah who he does he has the the variable He has the J.J. McCarthy variable. Not that things go absolute to poo-poo town should McCarthy come back and be the starter. Week one, when everything was awful for the Minnesota Vikings, and McCarthy looked terrible, 44 and a score. Like I said, not the worst possible thing. But then with Carson Wentz these past two weeks, 126, 123 yards.
39:03Mike Wright:His worst game this year was 3-for-81 with McCarthy, and that was still not that bad.
39:07Andy Holloway:And I believe that McCarthy, should he come back and get the job, will improve over the course of the season. Jefferson is just that good.
39:15Jason Moore:I was looking forward to drafting Jefferson here if you didn't.
39:18Mike Wright:One of the reasons why that team is good and the head coach is good and the quarterbacks have success is because they target their best players relentlessly all the time strategically, unlike the Cardinals. I think they do target their best players. Marvin Harrison had 78 receiving yards on the first two drives of that game. and I think wasn't targeted on the final 30-something plays.
39:41Andy Holloway:Oh, and just so ridiculous. Public PSA here. Yes. For all the PSA. For news outlets out there, when you're breaking something that says, and it comes through on my phone, so we got small. And it says, Jonathan Gannon being fined? It's too close to fire? It's way too close. I read the same thing.
40:04Jason Moore:We had to use a different word because I was like, oh my gosh, he got fired.
40:08Andy Holloway:I was like, we did it.
40:09Jason Moore:The Arizona Cardinals have fired Jonathan Gannon.
40:12Andy Holloway:You're like, oh, we took$100 ,000 from him. You need to remove all the money. Remove all the money. That would be the firing. Yes. Well, it doesn't remove the money. He still gets it all.
40:25Mike Wright:You know, what's interesting is that it wasn't the NFL. Right. I actually thought the fine was from the NFL. It was the Cardinals.
40:32Jason Moore:Yeah.
40:32Mike Wright:It's just interesting.
40:33Jason Moore:they were like I can save some money now what if
40:40Andy Holloway:that is not surprising he's like why didn't you hit him twice now that you bring it up the bidwells being able to reclaim $100 ,000 they were so happy
40:51Jason Moore:they were so excited about that
40:52Mike Wright:Jason you're back on the clock at 11 Jefferson just went off the board
40:56Jason Moore:this one is interesting this is my last pick of the first round here of the top 12 picks I've been looking at the different running backs who I would take here. There are still some great players. James Cook has been on fire. Devon Achan has been very consistent, but his ceiling hasn't been there. At wide receiver, you got Nico, Egbuka. I don't know how high he'll go. Drake London has been involved. You know, there's all these guys. But when push comes to shove, I was really thinking about this because I have this player. And I was like, would I trade him right now straight up for those names I just said?
41:27Jason Moore:And I would not. And it's CeeDee Lamb. Okay. CeeDee Lamb, I'm going to miss a game. That sucks. you'll watch you miss too because so much for getting past the bye well everyone most all players were drafting still have a bye week so i'm just missing an additional game this week and that's presumed he could every man buys every man um but yeah i you know when when we look at what dak has been doing and you look at league winners yeah guys who can go fire guys who can really go ham and score 30 points you know the first two weeks he was a top 12 wide receiver without touchdowns um over 110 yards both weeks then gets injured um and so since that time dac's been great pickens has been great i think cd will be awesome and thank goodness the dallas cowboys defense is as bad as it is it is so nice all right i i lamb was on the board
42:25Mike Wright:probably not next for me but I'll go with Devon Achan I think Achan I'm going to take over Cook I think the baseline is better for him the receiving work we've only had one game without Tyreek Hale he was very good in that one he'll be very good for a long time and he plays the wide receiver position I mean he he really does he went up and had a full wide receiver-esque meet him at the top
42:46Jason Moore:catch it over two guys in the end zone that pass I saw a tweet I apologize I can't I don't remember who had it but it was such a great tweet said don't let the incredible pass by tua or the incredible catch by a chan distract you from the fact that on like a third and eight from the goal line they drew up a running back fade in the back of the end zone which is a really bad design but the play was awesome but it was like really that's the best you got a fade to your tiny running back
43:18Mike Wright:yeah yeah they should you know yeah devon h and number 12 rounds out our first round taylor robinson nakua cmc amon rock gibbs barkley jacobs jsn jefferson lamb and a-chan let's see how that
43:31Jason Moore:compares to the adp of how how it was um a while ago you want to see it's not bad jamar chase was
43:40Mike Wright:the 101 obviously he's gone i thought you were going to give us where these guys went uh we can
43:45Jason Moore:we can look at that B. John went next Barkley Gibbs so those guys are about the same Justin Jefferson C.D. Lamb Christian McCaffrey Derek six straight that are in the same 12 so Derek Henry is a faller yeah Amon Ross St. Brown is in there Ashton Gentty yeah so Gentty and Henry are fallers neighbors is injured and Puka was the last one it's funny because Gentty is not I mean he's
44:11Mike Wright:getting drafted in this next round yeah yeah he's not far off the involvement in the receiving game now and the step up for him uh mike you're back on the clock first pick of the second round it's
44:21Andy Holloway:james cook yeah it is i would take both h and james cook over josh jacobs personally uh jacobs or i'm sorry james cook it's obviously it's not perfect because he can still have some dud games but he looks so incredible. He did not take the bag and decide that he would just ride off into the sunset with all his money. He took it seriously.
44:47Mike Wright:Yeah, I think James Cook was probably the next man up on my list as well. Last three picks, Lamb, A. Chan, James Cook. We'll take a break. We'll finish it out.

46:00Mr.
46:01Mike Wright:Moore, Jason, you are on the clock.
46:03Jason Moore:Man, every running back left, there's a lot of good running backs that all have big question marks for me. I don't know how high to take them. So I'm going to take the stud wide receivers that are left. It's worth noting, Trey McBride's still available. All the tight ends have not been taken yet. But I'm going to take Nico Collins here. He's still a stud. He's getting it done. He has been disappointing for sure as the Texans offense has been disappointing. But he is an awesome fantasy asset.
46:31Mike Wright:If I was in the draft, the truth is I would take Emeka Abuka above Nico Collins.
46:36Jason Moore:That was where I'm looking between Nico and Abuka and Drake London. Those three to me.
46:42Mike Wright:Yeah, no, it's fair. And Nico has been, I think, a little bit quietly consistent because the offense had been struggling, but now it's two weeks in a row. They've been looking better. I will take Emeka Abuka at 15, which is, yeah, that's just a wild moment of reflection.
46:59Andy Holloway:I'm not saying it's wrong. That's wild.
47:01Mike Wright:And just on a personal level, I think he's my favorite player in the game of football. He's so good. I love, like I said it yesterday, I love the Buccaneers so much. I love Baker. I love Abuka. I love Bucky. I love Evans. I love that team. I love Todd Bowles. He was an Arizona guy. We are going to, that is going to move into second place.
47:20Jason Moore:Final ADP. Final ADP picks 84, 85, and 86 in the eighth round was... Rookie wide receiver, rookie wide receiver, Emeka Ibuka and Matthew Golden back-to-back after Travis Etienne. 84, 85, 86 you're saying? Yeah. Eighth round pick, Emeka Ibuka is now a top 15 selection.
47:48Mike Wright:We were looking in our listener league where you and I were four or five picks apart in the fifth or sixth round. I took Ibuka.
47:54Jason Moore:I was so angry when you took him because that was my mind.
47:57Mike Wright:And then you ended up with Golden five picks later. And the feeling between those two right now.
48:00Jason Moore:The gap is like one is a superstar.
48:04Mike Wright:One's a second round pick and one's on the waiver wire. Yeah. So, Mike, you're back on the clock. Pick 16. Abuka's off the board. It gets a little harder now.
48:12Andy Holloway:It definitely gets a bit harder. So, I will.
48:21Andy Holloway:That running back four in points per game. When will he be drafted? Yeah, I know. I keep looking at his name and I'm like. Not yet. Is someone going to do it? Yeah, I don't have the skills to do that, so I'll just take Kyron Williams, please.
48:37Mike Wright:Kyron Williams. So he's alluding to Javante Williams, he who should not be named.
48:44Mike Wright:But it's a conversation at some point.
48:46Jason Moore:Yeah, it's funny because I think—
48:48Mike Wright:But I think Derrick Henry on the board versus Javante, that'd be a really hard pick.
48:51Jason Moore:It would. Derrick Henry, Brees Hall, Bucky Irving, who I know he's injured, but he was awesome. it's like would you really take Javante Williams over those guys in a startup like is the rug going to get pulled it doesn't I don't think it doesn't feel like it man it really doesn't um I'm not taking any of them though we did we did just get real quick news Tyrone Tracy no injury designation good to go for Thursday nope okay um I will go back to the wide receiver position and take Drake London I saw Nico Ibuka and Drake London kind of in that same tier interesting you'll go all right you you would i mean you're a garrett wilson guy is that who you're saying it is it was a slow nod of approval by my yes yes i i'm glad you got the name right away look it was you yeah i wouldn't have thought i'm gonna take josh allen i'm taking josh allen
49:41Mike Wright:at 18 the number one every year practically at the position is the number one again i mean josh allen what what he and lamar who's hurt i mean lamar would have been in the discussion at some point a quarterback is going to go here the differential to my team is significant with Josh Allen in the mid to late second round and when you have that player on the team they can win you the week I mean Josh Allen can win you a week anytime he does it frequently I think that's where the line is drawn like because the next the next big names up there is Derek Henry has been a little disappointing don't know what's wrong with Lamar Jackson Ashton Jinty okay Judkins so a couple rookies or the guaranteed commodity of Josh Allen, to me, that was the time.
50:21Jason Moore:I think that the right place to take the known commodities at quarterback is when everyone else now has a big question mark. Yeah. And that's, you know, we're right around there. Is Javante real? Is Derrick Henry falling off? You know, those type of questions. So, yeah, I don't blame you taking a QB here.
50:38Mike Wright:All right, Mike, you're next up here. We've got a handful of picks left. I think you got two more. We all got two more picks left.
50:44Andy Holloway:I will just make sure that this man gets the respect that I think he deserves. So I will take Garrett Wilson right here. It might not be pretty. No, no. You might not want to watch it. Fourth quarter magic with Justin Fields. Garrett Wilson's a great player. He needs to be on when Fields has his every other terrible play, good play. We just need the good play to go to Garrett. it um man there is though there's another wide receiver that i there's a handful that uh i almost took over garrett i just can't do it quentin johnson no no no i know not that far um i think
51:24Jason Moore:i know who you would be taking and it might be my pick here all right um i'm just looking at would i really take them over these running backs that is tough no i wouldn't uh i think i'm gonna to end up going with some of these questionable running backs and while i do think derrick henry is still good this season i'm actually going to go breese hall i think with the that's fine by me with the injury to braylon allen back-to-back jets breese hall has looked really good i'm taking
51:52Mike Wright:justin field no i'm not yeah breese isn't a strange name because it's a lot it's a lot more exciting to take genti or judkins or henry but but breeze has been really effective and very good and involved in the passing game i don't i don't mind it i think uh i think for me the pick is
52:10Andy Holloway:actually quench on judkins i am fine with that i think i'm going to take judkins here yes javante
52:16Mike Wright:is out there bucky with the injury i'd love to take bucky there i don't know how long he's going
52:20Jason Moore:to really be out only four more picks i mean so many of these guys are not making it in the top
52:25Mike Wright:No, I mean, Judkins has been a top 12 running back in the three weeks he's played any snaps.
52:30Andy Holloway:The Judkins situation is so insane. Of everything that happened. You thought maybe he didn't play in the NFL. Yeah, of how the pick was perfect for the Cleveland Browns in terms of the player that they needed, the archetype. He was going late, going in the middle of redraft, which felt awesome, and then his whole off-the-field DA allegations. And it's like, and they're gone now, and there's no more chatter at all about suspension.
53:02Jason Moore:Yeah, I know. It's like I haven't heard anything of the NFL coming and doing it.
53:07Andy Holloway:The NFL does not let, even what happened, okay, it went away. The NFL doesn't let those things slide.
53:14Mike Wright:Yeah, I mean, to be fair to the situation, you'd have to say that if things didn't happen or things got settled out. Like you said, if the league doesn't let it slide and the league isn't addressing it, then maybe something different happened that we don't understand. You just have to accept it. But it is a crazy change from where we were. Three picks left, Mike. Your final selection here. I'm going to do it.
53:39Andy Holloway:I'm taking Javante. Okay. Just let his points wash over you. The Dallas offense.
53:45Mike Wright:Second round picks, Emeka Abuka, Javante Williams, baby.
53:48Andy Holloway:What are you going to do, man? This far in, I feel like you have to do it. I feel like you need to buy into what Javante's doing.
53:58Mike Wright:Javante in the second round, and then this guy went in the second round. And you've got to give credit to this rookie sensation wide receiver out of Ohio State, Emeka Egbegbu. Egbegbu. Oh, man. I need the cut of just the name, too. Egbegbu. I need to be able to hit that anytime I want.
54:18Andy Holloway:Now, they all have earpieces in, right? What was that John Travolta when he was saying?
54:23Mike Wright:Adele Dazeem. Yeah.
54:25Andy Holloway:Amika Abegbu. They all have the earpiece in, right? You, as a producer of that show. It's a buka. You know that it's gronk. It's a buka, man. You need to tell him, hey, pause right before you say it. We will say it in your ear. Maybe they did. And then repeat yourself. Maybe they did. And that's still what we got. That was just too funny.
54:45Mike Wright:goodness gracious could not have slaughtered it could not have slaughtered it yeah let's uh and you got to give credit to this rookie sensation wide receiver out of ohio state emika a big boo i could listen to that i really i really could all right we have uh jason not even remotely close all right i've got four names jason i have six i'm curious if these four are on your list of six
55:10Jason Moore:all right let me hear them derrick henry derrick henry is one of i've got three running roma dunze Rome is on my list. Rome was the name that I struggled with. Quentin Johnson? Quentin Johnson is not on my list here. Jamar Chase is on there. So my list, my three running backs are Derrick Henry, Ashen Gentry, and Travis Etienne. Not Bucky Irving? I guess not. I mean, Bucky is in that group for sure, but being injured, it's hard to take him. Jamar Chase, Roma Doonze, and Devontae Adams, who's just getting it done, and I think he will continue to. It's really tough if I was going to really take one of those picks right here, right now.
55:47Jason Moore:I would. You should probably go with. Emika, a big boo. It doesn't get familiar. It's not like, oh, I've heard this. No, no, no. Here.
55:59Mike Wright:We went at 12, it was A-chan. Cook was 13. Nico was 14. At 15, we went. And you got to give credit to him. Oh, crap. Wrong one. Emika, a big boo. And then it was Kyron, London, Allen, Wilson, Reese Hall, Judkins, and Javante. All right. Who are you taking?
56:16Jason Moore:I'm going to take the fun pick. I'm going to take Ashton Gentry.
56:19Mike Wright:Okay. I don't think that's wrong at all. I mean, that's a good pick. I'll put Derrick Henry in it with the final spot of the second round and try to keep the context. I mean, Saquon went higher in this draft than I thought, and that was part of keeping the context that we're five weeks in. And we know what the power of those two players was over the last two years.
56:39Andy Holloway:Henry freaks me out more because Saquon, like I said, Eagles, stable. Ravens, big, big trouble. And they just, whatever offensive stuff they're doing, whenever they go to pass mode, they feel like we've got to put Justice Hill on the field, which I understand you've got to utilize his skill set, But there are so many times on third and short, and Justice Hill is out there. And I think it is just such a travesty and stupid.
57:09Jason Moore:In ours, no Bucky, no Jamar Chase, no Devontae Adams, no Roma Dunze, no ETN, and no tight ends.
57:15Mike Wright:And no Kuge. Yeah, no tight ends, though, is a tough one. All right, we are going to jump into the mailbag.
57:26Jason Moore:Mailbag. Mailbag.
57:28Mike Wright:Presented by NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV. If you've got a question for the show, you can go to the website, thefantasyfootballers.com, click that Submit a Question button, or you can dial our voicemail hotline. That number is 302-464-TFFB. First question from George in Kansas City. Would you trade Darren Waller and... Emeka Ekbegbo. For Puka Nakua? Oh. Oh. So this is great.
57:59Andy Holloway:Yeah, this is great.
58:00Mike Wright:This is great because they already have Tray McBride.
58:04Andy Holloway:Then, yeah, absolutely.
58:06Mike Wright:I literally on the drive into work today as a manager of. Emika, a big boo. As a manager.
58:14Andy Holloway:He's going to start screwing us up. A buka.
58:17Mike Wright:I thought, you know, I could go maybe like what if I could get puka in a trade where I give egg buka and more for puka. Yeah. You can go. Don't you have Waller? And I do have Waller. Yeah. But I actually just was like, I like Ibuka too much. But you should do the trade.
58:36Jason Moore:Yeah, no, it's a great trade. And I don't think we've brought up Darren Waller enough.
58:41Mike Wright:Number one in points per game at tight end.
58:43Jason Moore:He is. So I went back for the Dynasty show that came out today. If you are in Dynasty, listen to the Fantasy Footballers Dynasty podcast. I did a film review of the Dolphins minus Tyree Kill. I just watched every snap over again yesterday to just see how did the offense look. And my big takeaway was just like, holy crap, Darren Waller looks amazing. Yeah, he looks fast. He looks like their best weapon. Like the passes to Darren Waller were, those were their best plays. He looked so fast, big, strong. And he was only on the field, you know, half the snaps. And they're going to keep working him in more and more and more.
59:23Jason Moore:I mean, what did the snap count get up to? I think it was like 50.
59:26Mike Wright:I was guessing it would be in the 45 range. Was it higher than that? I think it was in the 50s. Oh, baby. Let's go.
59:33Jason Moore:So his first week was 28%. This last week was 58%. Five for 78. Used downfield. Used on those seam routes. I mean, we saw this with Jonu Smith.
59:44Mike Wright:You know that he's telling the truth, Jason, is because he would love to get Darren Waller for me in our League of Record, and he's not pretending like the tape was bad. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he's telling the truth, and I think, you know, you're not going to like this either, but I think this is the cheaper time you can get Darren Waller. I agree with that. I think he's going to get more expensive.
1:00:07Jason Moore:If he, you know, over the next month, if he has three good games. He is heating up, as they say. Yeah, if he has three good games over the next month, then all of a sudden at that point you're going to be looking at him like, who would you, you know, who's the best tight end right now? Like, literally, who would you want number one?
1:00:23Mike Wright:I would say Trey McBride. It's been a little disappointing.
1:00:26Jason Moore:Yeah, Trey McBride's been a little disappointing.
1:00:27Mike Wright:It's certainly not going to be Kincaid rest of season or Goddard rest of season.
1:00:31Jason Moore:It could be Tyler Warren. I think it's probably Warren. It could be. Honestly, it's George Kittle. Like, when George Kittle comes back, he's going to dominate.
1:00:39Mike Wright:What's wild is Warren's been good, but it's not insane. But no, Tyron has been insane. Like, the points scored by Waller in the last two games both outscore any Warren game.
1:00:49Jason Moore:Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Waller is in that conversation. like when I look at who's the best tight ends to have rest of season he's there and that sucks for me to say we need that program the ramp that he was on oh dude
1:01:06Mike Wright:who thought we would never play that drop again he may legitimately have a shot at being the best tight end in football for the rest of the season not saying that's guaranteed McBride should be in the mix someone asked Sam in New York would you trade Tyler Warren for Trey McBride straight up I would do that I would rather have McBride. I would too. I think it will be – now, we did just get news. Kyler Murray in the foot injury, not practicing.
1:01:35Jason Moore:Well, thankfully, Jacoby Brissett is a capable backup that can get the ball to these players. I don't feel like that is maybe in terms of the Arizona Cardinals offense because he doesn't have the mobility Kyler has. But as far as the pocket passing, I don't think it's a major step down for the receiving options of McBride or Marv.
1:01:57Mike Wright:Yeah. Okay. Moving on. Next question comes in. Oh, we have a voicemail. Let's go to that one. Hey, Ballers. Waddle owner from Toronto here.
1:02:09Jason Moore:Just wondering what you think of him. What do we think our long-term outlook on Waddle is? Should we sell high while he's still healthy, or do you think he'll last the season? who are you looking for
1:02:19Mike Wright:Tett maybe I mean what do you think yeah I mean bonjour bonjour yeah I think I think Waddle's gonna be great
1:02:26Andy Holloway:so yeah the question is how we feeling temperature check here on Jalen Waddle who even those first few weeks where Tyreek was playing he was getting it done and then that was the first week full week without Tyreek right yes which he's always been 6 for 110 he's been really good in those situations and a touchdown he he is an awesome awesome player who his his issue has never been skill it is just his body doesn't love did you see him again this week did it happen again on the first play i missed that one al and i were
1:03:01Mike Wright:watching it and nothing happened to waddle nothing happened whatsoever i i didn't nothing
1:03:06Jason Moore:nothing he wasn't even i don't even think he was tackled he was down in agony um on when i was re-watching the Dolphins film um it it literally the like the the pro.nfl uh recap I didn't even know they did this but it was like you know pass complete left to Jalen Waddle exits with injury
1:03:23Andy Holloway:it was like oh good so yeah I yeah we all like Waddle but so Waddle or Tett McMillan which side
1:03:30Jason Moore:do you prefer so I've got a hundred degree low grade fever on Jalen Waddle I think he's necessary to this offense I really like him I'm I'm like 104 for Tett yeah like I I think Tett is going to help people win championships at the end of the year i still need to be convinced i would love to be on that team i it's one of those things where it's like the peripheral of the carolina panthers
1:03:53Mike Wright:offense and the yeah bryce and bryce and the fact that he can be he can make a good pass he could get
1:04:00Jason Moore:the stink dunked for two sacks the stink of bryce is why tat is what he is right now but i mean this But Dylan Coker's coming back. There's a rookie who threw his first five games on pace for 1 ,200 yards in his rookie season. Yeah, and that's good. That's good. But it's also like Bryce is keeping Tetz Price down, but Bryce has supported. Remember Adam Thielen, old man Adam Thielen. Bryce got it done with him. The touchdowns haven't been there, and it's not like he's finishing with no touchdowns.
1:04:32Mike Wright:It was better with Dalton. Dalton got Deontay Johnson and Thielen cooking. and it's just it's a little hard for me to be all the way there is all i'm saying i understand you're talking about like rest of season total yardage i would put a bet on waddle over tet on total yardage on total yard i mean because you brought up that yeah no no you brought up the yard projection i'm just saying like more touchdowns i think waddle probably scores more
1:04:55Jason Moore:touchdowns i would i think waddle probably has more touchdowns tet has more yardage that's how
1:04:59Mike Wright:i would see it it's it's yeah it's gonna be it's a pretty close one if you're in any league with the keeper league or dynasty league and that trade is on the table i would definitely be on the side of that i think rest of the season this year it's a little bit tougher for me but i i get it i
1:05:13Andy Holloway:get buying in and that's interesting i mean tyreek should be gone yeah like next year i think it will
1:05:19Mike Wright:i will number one their head coach and the quarterback and yeah that's true it'll be a it'll probably clean the house so we'll we'll see there there are um i don't know sometimes the team still looks okay this year to me like miami i i'll give if this is credit i don't know if it is or not i guess i would have thought that the team would have quit by now and i don't i don't see the team quitting i think the team has been okay they've had stretches they've had victories that you know what are they right now are they two and three are they one and four i would have to go check
1:05:51Andy Holloway:dolphins standings dolphins are one and four okay i tell you what i'm gonna put this out in the universe uh should mr mcdaniel lose his current occupation arizona will take you as an offensive
1:06:06Mike Wright:coordinator offensive coordinator yes and honestly instantaneously yes if you while you're walking out of the office we will send a car to pick you up and you can come i will do it yeah we will oh dude i will i'll fly you know what i'll take blobfish to the airport too it's like i will take Drew Patsing to the airport on my side and you can bring Mike McDaniel. Next year
1:06:30Andy Holloway:McDaniel will go to a team and he will be an OC and I will be very interested in that team's offense.
1:06:36Mike Wright:Yeah, there are it's wild because I think the worst coach by a long shot right now in the NFL is Aaron Glenn in New York. Unfortunately, yeah. He's a defensive-minded head coach that went there and made their defense worse and their offense worse and their team undisciplined. You just have to look at what's happening. He's another one of those guys. I'm like, is he just a coordinator? Like, is he just like a dominant defensive coordinator, but can't do the whole thing? I don't know. Right.
1:07:00Andy Holloway:Gets overwhelmed when it's everything.
1:07:02Mike Wright:Like, I think we are learning. And Jason and I, we brought this up with Detroit. Like, the play calling in Detroit is great. There's no Ben Johnson. There's trick plays. There's smart plays. There's great play calling. I think that you're at the point now in Detroit, which we never thought we'd be at five, ten years ago, where the structure and the environment and the head coach and the organization and the general manager, it is building. like Aaron Glenn was there right Aaron Glenn leaves he doesn't look like a good coach you just wonder how much of the structure is really supporting these coaches and that's a credit that's a credit to the best head coaches in football this was Bill Belichick's whole universe and Andy Reid's whole universe I mean you have guys leave and doesn't work yeah the Shanahan tree and all of those guys like sometimes it works out sometimes they're kind of shown to be like hey you don't have all of the it's like the trellis for the vine the trellis isn't there for these guys and um yeah mike mcdaniel maybe a better oc aaron glenn maybe better at dc i don't know but we'll uh we'll find out we'll find out next year if he's got a job next year or not one more nick from uh gulf breeze florida okay that's a cool sounding place okay uh nico collins and tony pollard for josh jacobs would you do that i need a solid running back i would i would Yeah, I would definitely do that.
1:08:16Andy Holloway:Yeah, I think that's fine. Tony Pollard is the arrow is, as Tom would say, it's pointed down.
1:08:24Mike Wright:That does not seem weird to me. I'm in between. It can just be pointed down. It doesn't have to be pointing down.
1:08:31Jason Moore:Yeah, I think it can be pointed down. It can be. The arrow's pointed down. That doesn't sound like that.
1:08:36Mike Wright:Who's okay with pointed over there instead of pointing? So we've got the child over in the corner is good with the baby.
1:08:43Jason Moore:I'm sure that Jalen Warren is looked up. Things are really looked up for him right now. See, that one sounds way weird. I mean, I don't know if that's a fair example or not.
1:08:55Mike Wright:I don't either. But it's funny. So you're saying if an arrow's on the wall and it's facing downward, you can only say it's pointing downward. You can't say it's pointed down?
1:09:07Andy Holloway:Because it almost means like it's no longer doing that. It pointed down. past tense.
1:09:13Mike Wright:Oh, you think it's pointed down? Yeah, exactly.
1:09:15Andy Holloway:It doesn't bother
1:09:16Mike Wright:me.
1:09:16Andy Holloway:Oh, man. Now, the looked one is hilarious.
1:09:21Jason Moore:When you gave that example of the air. Big boo.
1:09:24Mike Wright:I think I almost got Mike on a spin take there. Almost got me.
1:09:27Jason Moore:I need that on my board. I don't think you do. Big boo.
1:09:32Mike Wright:You'd hit it 65 times
