In short
Fantasy Football strategy episode focused on “Keep/Trade/Cut” decisions across redraft and upside categories, plus dynasty trade “shoot for the moon” examples and league news affecting fantasy rankings.
Guests/hosts
Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright (Fantasy Footballers hosts). No additional guests appear in the transcript.
Key claims
- Dynasty value: Prefer Drake London over a 1.01-type rookie (Jeremiah Love) in startup drafts due to positional advantage (WR vs RB).
- Trade example: Would rather have Garrett Wilson than Jeremiah Love in a 1-for-1; adds a 2027 first to Wilson for a “value swap” discussion.
- Range-of-outcomes: Rasheed Rice is framed as potentially top-5 dynasty WR if re-signed big, but also could be replaced via the draft if the team won’t pay.
- Keep/Trade/Cut (redraft RBs): Keep Devon A. Chan; Trade Ashton Jenty; Cut Omari and Hampton.
- Keep/Trade/Cut (2025 WRs): Keep Garrett Wilson; Trade Lad McConkie; Cut Emeka Abuka.
- Tight ends: Keep Harold Fannin; Trade Tucker Craft; Cut Sam LaPorta (argued as “middling” and not target-dominant).
Notable examples
- Texans pick up CJ Stroud fifth-year option; Will Johnson also noted.
- Devon A. Chan not reporting to voluntary workouts; Kyle Pitts franchise tag; Malik Nabers injury recovery timeline.
- Isaiah Likely usage expectations; debate about whether Jeremiah Love gets drafted by Jacksonville.

1:33Andy Holloway:Look at that smile. I don't know what all this. That's a million dollar smile.
1:38Jason Moore:What all these rumors were about.
1:47Mike Wright:Reports of my demise are greatly exaggerated. Nothing was wrong. You guys just mixed up the recording time. Oh, our bad. That's on us. As you can see, I have no problems by way of...
1:59Andy Holloway:This one was much faster than the last one.
2:02Mike Wright:You guys don't eat bolts? You guys don't eat nuts and bolts? No?
2:09Andy Holloway:No, I saw a reel the other day of a guy who eats couches. That could be me. Wow. Too soft. I don't know, man. Too soft. That could still get your teeth. yeah I mean this is a hideaway
2:24Mike Wright:there's just so many problems that you could have as your thing and they don't have to be like you could have just I don't know massive foot fungus issues you probably do you wouldn't know I get to put a shoe over it for the podcast that's not a big deal warts all over my legs littered with boils maybe I do maybe I don't But no, I have to have my thing be some sort of genetically misengineered teeth. Why do they keep breaking? The bolts? I'm too intense. That's what it is.
3:01Jason Moore:And to be fair to you, not at all to your teeth. No. The taco you were eating was a soft taco.
3:09Mike Wright:It was a soft taco. And it was my front tooth.
3:13Jason Moore:Oh, man. I thought it was really genuinely big of you. It was big of you. Your profile, you put it on X. I think you put it on Instagram. It was very funny. It was so funny, and you just put it out there for the whole world to see. I had to. Well, we put it out for the whole world to hear. I watched the intro to the show.
3:32Mike Wright:You start the show, and you guys just start laughing to yourselves profusely, and then one thing leads to another. I'm like, I've got to get out ahead of this.
3:40Jason Moore:What we need to do is get out ahead of the next time and figure out what we - There will be a next time. There sure will. I just hope it's mid-show.
3:48Andy Holloway:We need days since Andy's last.
3:52Jason Moore:Yes, right now it's zero.
3:53Mike Wright:This could go on the screens easy. Look, it took just four hours in a dental chair, and I'm back. No big deal. We're glad to have you back. Oh, my gosh. It was so ridiculous. It was moments before we were going to record, too. I just couldn't. I thought about it. I just couldn't do it. I just couldn't come in here and host the show. Oh, I would have had to look at it the whole time. It would have been well-timed for Halloween if I wanted to be, you know, Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber. Welcome into the show Thursday, April 9th, the Fantasy Footballers Podcast. Mike Wright, Jason Moore, Andy Holloway with all of his teeth.
4:30Mike Wright:And we got a great show for you today. Jointhefoot.com. That is where the community of our listeners and supporters reside. About 40 ,000 strong over there. Bonus weekly episode. you get all of our in-season tools you get access to the ultimate draft kit in the dynasty pass if you're an ultimate member and uh if you want to support this show now uh what going into our what season is this will be season 12 season 12 still independent fully independent and we appreciate you guys supporting the podcast join the foot.com for that our quick question I've actually seen a lot these questions come up frequently like what normally they're worded like this what would you ask for if you if someone wanted the 101 in the rookie draft from you?
5:23Jason Moore:First of all that is a very difficult question to answer generically for all leagues because you don't know what players are on other teams I can't tell you a combination of players which often times that's more what it would be it would be two really good vets or a star and a younger prospect or something like that you know my my answer to the question to give like a value a lay of the land on value if I am looking to unload the 101 which is Jeremiah Love like so if I'm looking to get rid of Jeremiah Love in a dynasty league then I would want to get a young stud wide receiver plus because I think right now especially as you get close to the draft and people get hotter and bothered er um like so drake london and a 27 first the 27 draft class is great i would do that deal i would i would
6:15Mike Wright:be willing to you know say there you go i feel i feel like just to kind of i mean that that would be an easy yes for me i i guess i'm surprised that like is it is there not a world where you would rather have drake london than the 101 independent of no i know yes you're going for value i i understand that but like yeah so that trade was coming your way and and your depth that
6:39Jason Moore:both positions not you can make an easy argument for that in fact the the easiest way to think about this is in a startup draft where would you draft those guys and i would take drake london ahead of um ahead of jeremiah love simply because of the position a young wide receiver i think he's 24 years old still versus a running back to be clear you didn't I don't think you read the whole quick question but the the example it was to ask for a shoot for the moon trade yeah so obviously Drake London and the 27 first is a lot that's a lot that is shooting for the moon but there will be managers in leagues that would be willing to do that they're they're running back needy and they're going to say I'm going to get the next Bijan the next Gibbs the next you know superstar young running back that is a foundational piece there's just not a lot of them in the league we pretty much know this is going to be one yeah we i kind of jumped in too quick steve had written
7:32Mike Wright:in and just asked about being on a competitive team what would be a shoot for the moon type trade to float to league mates you want to get somebody that helps you right now it could take time for jeremiah love to get going depending on where the draft destination is you get the extra pick Would you trade, Mike, would you trade the 101 in this year's draft, a la Jeremiah Love, for Garrett Wilson in a 2027 first-round pick? Garrett Wilson is so tough.
8:01Andy Holloway:He will be turning 26 this year. I brought him up on this week's Dynasty podcast because, like, I am the Garrett Wilson guy, and even I forgot how good it was. Like before, so he played his first six weeks and he, he got hurt in week six, but it's like, I brought up weeks one through five last year. Garrett Wilson was the wide receiver five at that time before getting hurt. And once he got hurt, they, they completely shut him down. So even with as terrible as it was for the New York jets and for Garrett Wilson, the, he was absolutely balling out. I lean, I think Garrett Wilson, I would, I'd rather have him in the pick.
8:50Andy Holloway:If you're just talking to one for one, I would, I think I'm going to go Jeremiah Love. Like Garrett Wilson, I was reading through our startup rankings and I got to Garrett Wilson before I thought, okay, if I'm in a startup, I might take Jeremiah Love over him. And the next name on the list, which is Jay, interesting for our conversation on the dynasty pod is Rasheed Rice. yeah like if i have rasheed rice uh we we discussed on dynasty pot of he's in is he in the contract year he's in the contract here he's an unrestricted free agent because he wasn't a
9:23Jason Moore:first round pick this is his fourth season he's asking for big time money i could see him not showing up that more directly yeah he said he's looking for jsn money which you're not going to get you're not that guy pal uh that's what he wants which means you could end up in some hold out situation but rushy rice from a dynasty perspective is the widest range of outcomes player possible because there is the reality where they re-sign rushy rice to a large big time deal a wide receiver one deal could happen that could absolutely happen if that happens rushy rice is a top five dynasty wide receiver tied to patrick mahomes you know you can't look at season totals because he's usually suspended for half of the year and that comes with that risk but on a per game basis i mean when he was playing last year with he was like the wide receiver three on a per game basis he's he's outstanding he's young so that would be one of the best assets in dynasty you got to kind of got to call your shot because the other option that could happen is at the number nine pick in the nfl draft yep they take the number one wide receiver if carnell tate falls to him or if they you know mckay lemon peter schrager just had them taking jordan tyson at And in his mock, that was the first wide receiver off the board.
10:36Jason Moore:If that happens, that can easily be seen as a replacement. Like, we can't afford to pay Rushy Rice with Patrick Mahomes, with Chris Jones. Or we don't want to. Or we don't want to with the headache. We're going to draft a replacement. We'll have two great wide receivers this year. And we'll let Rushy Rice go get a monstrous contract in the offseason, giving us compensatory picks. And when Rushy Rice goes to another team that isn't Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid and the little gadgety utilizing him perfectly, he's like, is he a wide receiver too? He's not going to go out there. Yeah, I mean, so he's one of those guys where he's on my main dynasty roster.
11:15Jason Moore:And I'm like, should I be trying to get out? Because I see a lot on Twitter right now of like now that the suspension is lifted and we know he's free to play, he's way under value. You should go trade for him right now. and I'm still like, I mean, I could see that outcome, but...
11:31Mike Wright:It's the range of outcomes that's so tantalizing and terrifying for Rashi Rice. I mean, he could literally, like you just said, if he is the guy and gets a contract, he's... He's a top five wide receiver.
11:43Andy Holloway:He still carries risk, but on field there will be very little risk. So, like, wide receiver-wise, who would you take first, Jeremiah Love or this wide receiver? startup. So it's just, you know, you need all the value. So, uh, we'll go Malik neighbors. Neighbors. Okay. Okay. London. Yeah. London. Okay. I think it gets a little more difficult here. Tedderola McMillan. That was the name I knew you were going to say. And I would take Ted as well. Nico. That's raw flip. Nico's 27 years old. Yeah. That's raw flip. Yep. Okay. Uh, George. I would, I would take love. You take love. Okay. And then, so you'd probably take love over garrett wilson correct okay so it's right around that wide receiver 10 range that you're you're a little bit more interested in love yeah where the value
12:38Jason Moore:proposition swaps yeah i mean that that's where i think trading for one of those value switch proposition players like a garrett wilson who i would take love above but garrett wilson plus a 27 first and a great draft class that would be utilizing the one-on-one well all right let's get
12:56Mike Wright:into some news.
12:59Jason Moore:News and notes from around the league.
13:04Mike Wright:The Texans have picked up the fifth-year option on their quarterback, C.J. Stroud, the recently heavily maligned C.J. Stroud. Will Johnson as well. Less maligned. Come on, Stroud. Come on, buddy. When the defense is... Getting Tank Dale back? Mm-hmm. I mean okay I mean he was much better with tank yeah I mean he was just much better yeah that's fair before um you know I think when you have a defense as good as they do the pressure is going to be squarely on his shoulders can he handle it I don't know we're going to be talking about our top 15 running backs and wide receivers on next week's episodes this guy is in the top 15 Devon Devon A.
13:53Mike Wright:Chan did not report to the first day of voluntary offseason workouts. He is in the final year of his rookie deal. If I were to be Devon A. Chan for a moment, and I had seen the entire offseason of we're building everything around you, and he's one of the key tent posts of the team, I'd be like, give me that money.
14:14Andy Holloway:Yeah. I'm not paid like a foundational player right now. Yeah.
14:20Mike Wright:Lots of proclamations about how great he is and then no money.
14:25Jason Moore:There were also rumors, though, that they might trade him as well. And considering they've traded everyone else and dismantled their team, I don't know that they want to pay for a running back on a second contract when you are a complete tear-down-to-the-nubs rebuild. So I don't blame him for trying to get that money, not showing up to the voluntary portion of offseason programs. This is not a big deal. but big deals always start with this so it's a it's a just pay attention and monitor i think it could end up in a place where we're much happier where hn can navigate himself a better deal yeah
15:06Mike Wright:and um you know we we didn't expect like we thought james cook might have a hard time getting a deal james cook got himself a deal i look at hn in the same breath if not better he's i've got him ranked very high i think the highest of the three of us in terms of my my top 15 he's just a

15:22Jason Moore:machine he's just that good yeah stay tuned to tuesday to find out where that sounded like a
15:28Andy Holloway:threat it was like or else or else or else we won't tell you where we have him ranked
15:36Mike Wright:kyle pitt signed the franchise tag will report to otas he'll get paid big money for one more year um john harbaugh will be monitoring this all off season unfortunately malik neighbors won't be on the field until into training camp or closer to the season it's gonna be a while it was acl it was meniscus don't love this matthew betts our injury expert said look for him to return to his you know to return closer to his pre-injury level over the back half of the year this was a place where i know because of this injury i don't have neighbors as high as you guys have yeah i probably
16:09Andy Holloway:have him too high with this new we all have expectations and hopes and we know what the
16:15Mike Wright:talent level is it's just his surgery date was october it's a big recovery he could make some tremendous progress and we could be ready to see him on the field to start the year but we'll see that whole team is just going to be one of the more interesting storylines in fantasy football all year long what does jackson dart look like with the new head coach is Malik neighbor is going to be back to his old self is Cam Scadaboo the guy do they add another big-time wide receiver in the draft I mean that seems Jeremiah Love actually going to be drafted
16:46Jason Moore:gosh no no just stop saying that just stop mentioning to be to be fair I am usually the one saying there's no way they're going to do that I'm giving them too much respect they they cannot possibly do that it will be so are you saying that no I really don't believe that they will draft Jeremiah Love. There's a lot of people saying, oh, they like him. They might draft him.
17:07Andy Holloway:Why would they possibly do that? So, I mean, are you prepared to turn on Harbaugh and company? Oh, yes. Okay. Alright, I just want to make sure that... They do scat like that? We're talking like this. When actions show up, there must be a reaction.
17:24Mike Wright:For sure. Okay, good. Back will be turned. Did you see all the news about like... Harbaugh, you've been warned. The Isaiah likely utilization and expectations for his stats and things like that those comments from harbaugh i don't know if you guys had brought it up on the show i meant nope um for no reason um but no there was some conversation about just likely and and him putting up the stats that fantasy players want to see oh so oh again another exciting storyline on this on this team uh did john harbaugh know he had isaiah likely on his team
17:55Andy Holloway:yeah he did and you know what for multiple years you want to know what's been said for the last
18:00Jason Moore:three years? Oh, no. Is it the Rashad Bateman stuff? No, it's the Isaiah Likely stuff. Isaiah Likely's going to be a pro bowler. He did say that last year. Isaiah Likely's going to be so involved. I've been holding on to Isaiah Likely and my Dynasty team waiting for that transition. Gonna. Gonna be. Gonna be. This is what
18:18Andy Holloway:we're waiting for. This is the year. We're all trying to find
18:20Mike Wright:the guy who's making this. Theo Johnson, breakout year coming. That's all that means. Oh, man. We'll take a break. We'll get into some keep trade cut.

20:36Mike Wright:All right, guys, let's have some more fun conversations and dive right in.
20:45Jason Moore:keep trade cut all right time for some more strong opinions we're going to play some keep trade cut some different categories for these discussions a lot of these um are dealing with positions and
21:03Mike Wright:players that we are in the midst of ranking for next week's shows as well so maybe some opinions will be shared a little bit early right now. Let's start with three names at the running back position, all top 15 picks in redraft leagues. Keep Trade Cut, Ashton Jenty of the Las Vegas Raiders, Devon A. Chan of the Miami Dolphins, and Omari and Hampton of the Los Angeles Chargers.
21:33Jason Moore:Oh, man. And this is for just redraft, just this season, who scores the most fantasy points?
21:39Mike Wright:Yep, you guys had your top 15 running backs in the doc before. Yeah, it's A-Chan.
21:45Jason Moore:Yes, the keep is A-Chan. Are we all agreed there? Yes, we are all agreed there.
21:49Mike Wright:Yeah, A-Chan is one of a handful of guys that I think are in conversation for that top five. I mean, could A-Chan finish number one?
21:58Jason Moore:Probably not on the Dolphins, but I mean, he has the talent, the pass-catching ability. It's not impossible to me. I would say I wouldn't put it at zero percent.
22:09Mike Wright:I don't know if we would say yes to the Jinty-Hampton potential.
22:17Mike Wright:Ash and Jinty, Omari and Hampton, I believe both of you had them back-to-back in your top 15. I do. I do as well in an opposite order.
22:27Andy Holloway:They're not back-to-back. Okay.
22:29Mike Wright:I misspoke.
22:30Andy Holloway:They are currently two spots apart.
22:33Mike Wright:You guys both put Hampton first.
22:35Andy Holloway:That is correct.
22:36Jason Moore:Yeah.
22:36Mike Wright:Does that scare you at all? Yeah, it does scare me.
22:39Jason Moore:I mean, Gentry is obviously the higher touted player. But if you look at the situations of the two teams, I have a lot of high expectations, high hopes for the new healthier and improved offensive line for the Chargers, better quarterback situation, just a better offense that Hampton should be a part of. And I think that coming into year two, he will be the guy in that backfield. I'm very excited for him. But it's very difficult to say, you know, the guy who was drafted higher, the guy who has less competition, currently none in his backfield, who's going to be very involved and super talented.
23:18Jason Moore:And I would say the majority of people, I mean, if you look at rankings in general or average draft positions, Gentry goes ahead of Hampton. So it's a take to say Hampton over Gentry, but I want the offense.
23:30Mike Wright:I love the offense, too. I love the offensive line improvements. I think the difficult thing for me mentally is the fact that you could see the Raiders fundamentally building the entire offense around Gentry. You saw games, isolated games from Gentry where he was a fantasy force, especially towards the end of the year, on a team that was absolute trash. You didn't get to see the sample size of Hampton or the usage. of Hampton that make you say he's guaranteed to be the bell cow of this roster everything we think logically rational coaching he's the dude and he's going to get the opportunity but Harbaugh scares me a little bit Harbaugh is a win at all costs win by any means necessary we're going to play the players that we have the most confidence in and because I didn't get to see Hampton be a three down workhorse for more than a blip maybe one game right one game and he still got banged up in that game I feel like that's what puts a little hesitation in there for me where I know I know Jensie's going to be what this offense is all about coaching wise I mean
24:34Jason Moore:Kubiak has come out and said he wants a split backfield coaching wise I think it's a wash I think both guys could go split backfield both guys could lean on their star the thing Jensie has going for him right now is like you can want a 50 50 timeshare all you all you dream about but But if you don't have another running back worth anything on your roster, and they don't, you can't do it.
24:55Mike Wright:So for me, I'm A-Chan as the keep. I'm Gentry as the trade. I'm Hampton as the cut. And it makes me sad.
25:02Andy Holloway:You're going to do that too? Yeah, it's just the trade value of Gentry. I have Hampton over him right now, over Gentry. But people want to ask Gentry.
25:13Jason Moore:If we're really playing keep trade cut, I would trade Gentry because he's going to carry more value than Hampton. So Hampton gets the cut. but I would rather have Hampton over to Ashton. Ashton Gentry is still the,
25:25Andy Holloway:a fun unknown where it's like, you know, you feel like, Hey, well, if Hampton has a great year, he's a top 10 guy. If Ashton Gentry puts it together, he is there. They took him what fourth overall for fourth or fifth. I don't remember wherever for a reason, because the dude is electric and he can, he can be your offense but i will you know the probability of when do they switch quarterbacks running backs under rookie quarterbacks the you know there's just the years of data on that one is i'm going to lean that i want the justin herbert did we did we talk did you guys talk
26:04Mike Wright:kirk cousins yes okay you did okay yeah i mean that that could be kirk cousins could be the dude for a good half a year there too and obviously we're happy with kbs writing system it's it's
26:14Jason Moore:think for Brock and for Gentry that Fernando Mendoza Sr. is great for this team. I think he's going to start the beginning of the season and be very good. And yes, I am calling Kirk Cousins the father I was putting, I was
26:32Mike Wright:trying to figure, so he's Fernando Mendoza Sr. Yes. Look at those two guys. They do look identical.
26:39Jason Moore:And they act identical. They are holding hands right now. Skipping. And act identical. and somehow wearing gold chains. I don't know. Yeah, I mean, which of those three running back scores
26:51Mike Wright:the most touchdowns?
26:53Jason Moore:Oh, that's a good question. I would take Hampton on the touchdown front. Yeah, I agree with that.
26:59Mike Wright:Who sees the most total opportunities? That's HN, right? Yes.
27:03Andy Holloway:Should be.
27:04Mike Wright:Okay. Let's turn the page here. Let's go ahead and hit a second group of Keep Trade Cut, and it is a perfect group. They all hang out for sure after the way the year ended. This is wide receivers from 2025 whose seasons ended on a sour note. Keep trade cut. Garrett Wilson. I tried to come back. Couldn't. Yeah. Lad McConkie. Woof. That was a letdown. Still a great player, just not for fantasy the way we would have liked. and then Emeka Abuka, everybody's darling to Woof as well. I mean, this was – to start the year, you were feeling good.
27:50Jason Moore:Oh, I mean, you were feeling like you had the next Justin Jefferson. Abuka?
27:55Andy Holloway:Yeah, when you started the year. You said about the second most fancy points all time over his first five games to start a career?
28:00Mike Wright:Listen to this, guys, because I have to say, from week 11 on, Abuka averaged three receptions and 33 yards. and McConkie averaged two and a half receptions and 26 yards. That is like from darlings. I mean, McConkie was a monster the year before. Saw his target share decline, and then both of those guys useless. That's not from like week 15 on. That's 11 on. A deletion from your roster. And obviously Garrett Wilson with the injury deleted as well. At least with Ladd, you were able to bench him.
28:34Jason Moore:You know what I mean? like Emeka Ibuka at the end of the year, you kept going like, I got to play him. He's too good. You kept plugging him in the lineup, and then he'd go out there and get his three catches. To me, the keep is Garrett Wilson. You're happy with that? I am.
28:53Mike Wright:Mike, he's so happy, but he has no microphone.
28:57Andy Holloway:Is my mute stuck on? I don't know. Check my mute, John.
29:03Mike Wright:Yeah, I'm back. We're leaving that in? Ah, sure. All right, Mike was muted for a little while because Josh didn't like what he was saying.
29:10Jason Moore:Well, you know, the thing is. Let me quote him.
29:12Mike Wright:He said, huzzah! That was what you missed.
29:16Jason Moore:When I took Garrett Wilson verbally just now as my keep, Mike huzzahed. But because right now Al Borland is on a cruise, we're with the backups. Yeah. You know what I mean? This is the new referees.
29:35Andy Holloway:And we actually don't have a B team? Right. Straight to the C team. Yeah.
29:40Mike Wright:You guys are brutal. You think I'm going to let that opportunity go? Did you hit the U button? Is that what happened?
29:44Andy Holloway:I had, but I had let go. You want to do a test? Microphone. I think he's terrified over there. One, two. Oh, now it doesn't mute at all.
29:51Jason Moore:It doesn't mute at all. C team.
29:55Mike Wright:Now you know. I know it's not their fault. I'll leave it. But it could be. sometimes look just bar is are we recording josh are we recording oh that's a great bar
30:07Jason Moore:okay his microphone is not working he said yes into a microphone we are falling apart we're on the d team we are you guys are now the d team he is sweating oh yeah
30:20Mike Wright:well i can see he will knock his teeth out and get out of here um garrett wilson lad mcconkey abuka i can tell you right now it is it is garrett wilson as the keep for me as well with a with a a glance at abuka you can't have i thought about this on the drive-in this morning and this is all roster construction and philosophical differences between people but i don't believe you can build a team where you know everything that you have i just don't think you can do that i don't think that the best idea you're saying fantasy football roster construction fantasy football roster construction you just you can't draft all players you know what you have you have to have some risk that it can go either direction like a buka represents tremendous upside and also you know that it can go sour to me i feel like we do know what we have in lad mcconkey i do not see this guy i don't think it's going to change for lad mcconkey he is not going to be your full offense if anything they're going to do more and more and more to take less to take more off of him to spread the ball around i mean the first year he was all that there was yep you now drafted hampton you have more pass catch gadston and he's just not prototypical he's not the kind of guy that's going to carry the offense he's not but
31:32Andy Holloway:there's a there's 122 targets of keenan allen that will not likely be there it's amazing that
31:38Mike Wright:we always have keenan allen targets to talk about leaving no matter when yeah it's always because
31:43Jason Moore:we think he's gone until about 10 minutes before kickoff and he'll sign a contract to be right
31:49Mike Wright:Look, no disrespect to McConkie. He's going to settle in the next five years as the wide receiver 21 to 29. That's what he's going to settle in as, in my opinion. He might take over a game here and there. I don't think he's going to – the offense is not being built around him. It can be built around Garrett Wilson, no question. It will be. And you have a quarterback now who, as much as I hate him, he's the best quarterback they've had in a long time. So, Gino Smith, I'm going to take Garrett Wilson. I'm going to hope for the best for Emeka Abuka, and I'm going to cut Ladd McConkie.
32:19Jason Moore:Yeah, I completely agree. And to speak to your roster construction point where you can't just take known assets. Yesterday on yesterday's Dynasty podcast, we were talking about when you're trying to trade low for people, you can't. When you think you're trading low for someone who had a down year, but the path towards success is just clear and obvious. Like, oh, OK, well, this guy was injured. His quarterback's upgraded, whatever. You're not going to really get to trade low when you want to trade low for someone. It's because I don't know that it gets better, but you got to call your shot. And that's when you're in the draft, there's going to be guys, once you're after the first three rounds, there's going to be guys in each round that has a wider range of outcomes.
32:56Jason Moore:You have to take some of those players. For Tampa specifically, and there are a handful of other situations like this, when Mike Evans departs, you immediately go, hey, it's going to be better for Abuka.
33:09Mike Wright:You also need to look at the other pass catching options that they have and say, hey, what do they have in Taz Johnson? What do they have in Jalen McMillan? Those guys, how can they get better? But Ibuka's got an opportunity.
33:21Jason Moore:We know that Mike Evans can't sign a contract with them and show back up. Right. You lost Keenan Allen and you lost Mike Evans, but Mike Evans is gone. So Ibuka has the opportunity to show that the beginning of the year was not a fluke. And the beginning of the year was not. I mean, it might have been fluky like touchdowns were really, really high, but they weren't fluky. Prior to the season, Baker was talking up how good this kid was. There's a reason prior to that they drafted him in the first round. Prior to that he was great at Ohio State. He had a bad stretch run down the second half of last year.
33:53Jason Moore:He's a quality player. I think he will almost for sure be the wide receiver. One, Chris Godwin could be, but Emeka Ibuka I think is their best.
34:04Mike Wright:There's only one of these guys that won't be three for 33 ever.
34:09Jason Moore:Garrett Wills. Garrett Wills.
34:10Andy Holloway:Yeah, I agree with both of you guys. I would disagree. I think there is a stronger path forward for McConkie with their offensive line back to health and with Mike McDaniel in there. We don't like how will the targets really shake out for that squad? I think it might get flipped on its head.
34:36Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, I know you were – we've always, I think, as a group, really believed in Lad McConkie as a talent. Yeah. Last year I was more out on him, and I think it's good for you to speak positive of him. I just want people to know you are the lowest on him. That's fine, but not out loud.
34:56Andy Holloway:Secret ranking. Not out loud, but right now it's Qge, it's Lad, it's Trey Harris. That's the starting three.
35:05Jason Moore:Gadston.
35:05Andy Holloway:Well, yeah, I'm talking about the wide receiver position. So between those three guys, if they don't do anything else, I think there's a chance that Ladd has the most targets in the room.
35:18Jason Moore:I feel like fantasy value, not play style necessarily, but fantasy value over the course of their career, Ladd McConkie is Zay Flowers. He can have big games. Zay surprisingly was a top 10 wide receiver this last year. Ladd was a top 12 wide receiver's rookie year. But more than likely he's going to be just a helpful asset, not someone that you're winning a championship with because of.
35:43Mike Wright:That's about how I feel. That's a good comp. Let's talk about some tight ends. If you want to talk tight ends. Tight ends with upside. Oh. Tight ends with backside.
35:56Andy Holloway:That's why they call them tight ends.
35:59Mike Wright:Because of the yams. Because of their yams. Sam Laporta, Tucker Craft, Harold Fannin. I know my cut. It's Laporta?
36:08Andy Holloway:Yeah. Oh, man. 15 red zone touchdowns over the last three seasons. We're already here with Sam Laporta? He was the dynasty tight end one like two years ago.
36:18Jason Moore:Off the bridge. Oh, my God. My things to remember episode this offseason was that middling tight ends absolutely don't matter. Whether you are the tight end two or the tight end 12 last year did not matter. You're saying Laporta's already middling? 100 % he's middling. At this point, he's not going to be the tight end one ever again. He is not a target dominant. When I say middling, I basically, on that episode, was saying that there's really two guys. Now that George Kittle is coming off an ACL, you've got Bowers and McBride. Sorry, Achilles, yes, even worse. Bowers and McBride, and if not, then just punt the whole position forever.
36:57Jason Moore:Now, the offseason made moves that made it interesting. you have to get someone that can just be like the tight end one. Otherwise, they're irrelevant. And you had a showing from Tucker Craft that was worthy of that. And Harold Fannin is – Sam LaForda was the tight end one. He was the tight end one, but that doesn't mean at this stage of the team that he's on.
37:21Mike Wright:I laugh because I thought I was going to go look and see a three or a two. He actually was the number one. No, I know. That was in his rookie year.
37:27Andy Holloway:but it was with like 11 points a game it was a real low scoring
37:31Mike Wright:he's actually been almost the same point for game production he's not been the same as year one but you know he's we all agree that he is a he's a trustworthy competent contributor to the offense but not is not going to be Travis Kelsey's Chiefs days with Sam Laporta Tucker Craft like this is what I this is my point that I was bringing up with the okay, Abuka's got an opportunity, but McMillan and Tess Johnson, these other guys pay attention to him. In Green Bay, everyone wants to say, oh, now Matthew Golden can do something finally because Dobbs is gone, right? The only thing standing in Matthew Golden's way was Romeo Dobbs.
38:14Mike Wright:And then instead, there's Tucker Craft. There's Christian Watson. These are players that might be the bigger beneficiaries because they're proven. What's that? Jaden Reed. Yeah, Jaden Reed. Tucker Craft was on fire last year. Does he come back with the same ferocity? Because it was an isolated amount of games. It was some boom games.
38:34Jason Moore:Yeah, it's really tough. You could easily make the argument Tucker Craft over Harold Fannin if it wasn't for the ACL. But coming off of the ACL, I know he's running in straight lines, jogging in straight lines. I saw the other day his recovery, I'm guessing, is ahead of schedule. imagine not be so to me if I'm going to take a shot in any early rounds middle rounds on a tight end there are there's only three guys I would take a middle round shot on and it would be last year's rookies depending on what middle round is to you but Harold Fannin, Colson Loveland, Tyler Warren you can see the the path for them becoming absolute dominators and Tucker Crafts ACL gets in the way of that for me.
39:19Jason Moore:So I would keep Harold Fannin. Trade Tucker Craft. Trade Tucker Craft.
39:23Mike Wright:Cut Sam Laporta, who you really despise.
39:26Jason Moore:I despise middle-round tight ends, and he is a middle-round. He is the definition of a middle-round tight end.
39:32Mike Wright:If you could draft Harold Fannin in the sixth round or Tucker Craft in the ninth round, which one would you take? Tucker Craft.
39:39Jason Moore:Yeah, if it looks like he's healthy, I would take Tucker Craft, like if he's on track for week one.
39:43Mike Wright:Would you take Harold Fannin in the sixth round or Sam Laporta in the 11th round?
39:50Mike Wright:sixth round for fanning probably probably fan um there were rumors today about uh what cleveland and kenyan sadiq yes that they did a uh a top 30 visit that would be such a punch to the face yeah i mean it would it would be terrible for both players yeah however since i was telling You have so many problems, Cleveland. Why? Why do this? You already hit on your tight end.
40:20Jason Moore:Yeah. I still hesitate a little bit more with Sadiq. So if he went to Cleveland, I'd be like, okay, that's fine. But for my fanning, I love him.
40:30Mike Wright:My fanning.
40:31Andy Holloway:It makes no sense. I mean, they would have to, I don't know, move their pick?
40:36Mike Wright:I don't know. So we're all in agreement on this order or no? Are you considering keeping Tucker Craft, Mike? I am. You look like a guy considering that.
40:46Andy Holloway:I'm willing to take on more risk. Tucker Craft in, what do we have, seven and a half games, scored 101 fantasy points. Harold Fannin played, I guess he got injured, so we'll put him at 15 games. In 15 games, he was 150 points.
41:07Jason Moore:With Najoku in the way. The first seven weeks.
41:11Andy Holloway:Not at the end, though.
41:12Jason Moore:for Tucker Craft. He had the seventh most points of any tight end over the last decade. So he was absolutely dumb. To start the season, yeah. The issue is he's not going to come back week one and be that same guy off the ACL. How are his yams? His yams are toasty. They're toasty. They're not Fannins. Fannins got to have Fanny.
41:35Mike Wright:You're saying Fannins, yams. Harold Fanny Jr. Harold Yams goodness gracious it's so weird because it feels like Tucker Craft had this big part like he had such a big storyline
41:52Andy Holloway:the breakout was Kool-Aid man came through the brick wall and you were like holy crap I have Tucker Craft
41:59Jason Moore:I got him for free 7 for 143 and 2 touchdowns and then he gets his ACL torn the next week
42:07Mike Wright:Yeah, just seven weeks of glory. All right, we'll take a break, and we'll do a few more.
42:37Mike Wright:Association pursuant to a license from Visa USA Inc. Some restrictions may apply. What does it feel like to have a better laptop like the Dell XPS powered by Intel Core? With a premium design that's thin and light, it feels smooth, very smooth. With a responsive touchscreen, it feels fast and precise. And with a long-lasting battery life, it feels like non-stop energy with a laptop that can keep up. Built for those who want better, the Dell XPS, built for you.
43:14Mike Wright:I really want to know which of those tight ends Papa Josh would have kept. You know what I mean? Like, which one would you have kept?
43:22Jason Moore:Can he talk?
43:23Mike Wright:Yeah, I can talk. Dang it! It was a setup! I don't care what you think about those guys! He's so happy. I take it all back. I take it all back! Also, can you upgrade him? Yeah, you're back to the C team. I mean, if he can talk and Mike can talk at the same time. Yeah, then he's back to the C team.
43:41Andy Holloway:Is my mute? Yeah, okay. We're back. This is B team stuff. Oh, man. A mid-show fix? A mid-show B team. Mid-show for the C team. Pretty impressive. Yeah, I got you, Josh.
43:53Jason Moore:C plus?
43:55Mike Wright:I'll go C plus. C plus team? You two would love him to flunk him today. Oh, for sure.
44:01Jason Moore:You do anything else, I'm moving you straight to an F minus. Detention.
44:04Andy Holloway:The problem with that, Jay, you're insinuating that there's like a B-minus team. Yeah, you open up a whole can of teams. You can't do that.
44:12Jason Moore:That's fine. I am fine bringing pluses and minuses into this. I am fine with what I said. This show is about nuance.
44:21Mike Wright:You know? It's fan fannies. Late round quarterback, keep trade cut. Dak. Herbert.
44:30Andy Holloway:Dart. Which? This is best ball ADP right now. But Dak, Dak is the QB8. People finally woke up. We're like, oh, hey, Dak, when he plays the whole season, is always awesome. We're finally allowing that to be the truth?
44:52Mike Wright:Let me make a comp for Dak and see if you guys disagree with me. There was a period of Ben Roethlisberger's career. Oh, yeah. Where he was perennially never drafted. And you just kind of knew in the right games, even for the right stretches, he could just – like Big Ben, I hate to see him across on my opponent's team, even though Big Ben was like, what, quarterback 10 every year. I hated to see it because you knew he could just throw six touchdowns that game.
45:17Andy Holloway:He definitely could. There was a couple years in there where they were throwing a ton, but it's just – but Dak has literally been great. If he plays the whole year –
45:29Jason Moore:If he plays all season, he's never not been a quarterback one in his entire career. Which one of these three is coolest?
45:33Andy Holloway:Jackson Dart? Yeah. He's pretty drippy. Jackson Dart. Herbert's the nerd. Oh, for sure. Dak's pretty cool, too. Isn't he dating, like, Alison Breer or something like that? No. No, that's the ass. He's dating someone.
45:50Mike Wright:Who am I thinking of? Madison Beer?
45:53Andy Holloway:Madison Beer. Oh, I got it close. How does one get a last name of a beer? You just got to have a heritage of drinking. It's like, oh, Grandpa Beer Like, that's, excuse me That's Dr. Beer
46:11Andy Holloway:Mr. Beer, come over here How do you get taken serious When your last name is Beer
46:18Mike Wright:I don't know, man
46:20Jason Moore:Jackson Dart Do they have to wait until they're 21 to inherit that name? Can they be a little kid and be like
46:26Mike Wright:Is Beer before then? Yeah, exactly
46:28Jason Moore:it's me Madison root beer we are dumb
46:34Mike Wright:Dak Herbert Dart I feel like a similar conversation can be had here about do you know what you have Jackson Dart is the most enigmatic high upside we don't know what we don't know situation Herbert has some of that mixed in with Mike McDaniel's arrival and the potential for the offense and then Dak it was really really good I mean George plus CD equals Dak's going to be good he's more of an injury risk than the other well maybe not than the other two guys um dart so he's got name fatigue then yeah i mean uh it's it's interesting because there are
47:11Jason Moore:different play styles here i'm always going to prefer prefer yeah what it didn't even sound funny did it sound funny to you yes but it reminded me of a stupid thing we do when we pickleball whenever it's four to four oh it's free free free free i said prefer it okay it brought me right back to when we're serving kind of a sweetest chef yeah exactly so anyways now the foot clan knows how to properly score criticizing josh oh this is a plus work over here i'm sorry This is why they listen. I'm sorry. Anyways, I prefer the mobile rushing quarterback. So even though you know I have always been a Dak stan and I will never stop loving Justin Herbert, I would prefer to have Jackson Dart.
48:05Jason Moore:The option of one of these guys finishing as the quarterback one, a real, true, like, season-winning performance, I need you to rush for 700 yards.
48:18Mike Wright:I mean if I tell you that Neighbors is not himself until week 10 Oh well then Jackson Dart will be the wrong
48:25Jason Moore:pick. But what if I told you
48:26Andy Holloway:at pick number 5 they drafted Carnell Tate
48:30Jason Moore:But what if I told you Andy that when you are constructing a fantasy football roster you sometimes need guys you don't know how they could finish
48:41Mike Wright:I just feel like you're going to have to pay for that mystery with Dart. He's the cheapest of these three currently.
48:47Andy Holloway:On Underdog right now, they are QB 8, 9, and 11, but in terms of ADP, it's Dak is at 79 and Dart is at 86. They all go right next to each other.
48:58Mike Wright:I'll tell you a secret. When his boy Cam Scadaboo is healthy and back at camp, and when Malik Neighbors is running rounds, they will not go in this order.
49:07Jason Moore:I completely agree.
49:10Mike Wright:Possible.
49:11Jason Moore:Dak will tumble. Dak will absolutely tumble. You want to know why Dak is this high right now? Genuinely? It's because this time of year and we're getting the paid drafts. It's smarter drafters. And they know what Dak is. When the casuals all come back, Dak has total name fatigue. He's the guy who can't win playoff games. I don't care. Yeah, I might take Dak when he's the last of the three of them.
49:36Mike Wright:Dak, he struggled to end the year, if you remember. He had a great run, and then if you needed him in the last week, 15, 16, those were tougher. But he had a nice week, 17 against Washington, but not really crazy.
49:52Andy Holloway:We need to know what's going on with George because he is – they franchise tagged him.
49:59Mike Wright:I think he's happy to come back and play.
50:01Andy Holloway:He's not signed. No, he isn't? Oh, no. Oh, okay. Oh, no. Pitts is the one who signed. Yeah, George is going to take this thing to the limit. Oh, he's like, I don't have to practice? Yeah. He is George Pickens. Yeah. George Pickens was waiting to become a superstar. It's not George Beer we're talking about. But George has his own stuff. I mean, Pittsburgh got rid of him for a reason. And I honestly have no read. I don't know what the Cowboys are going to do here. I don't know. Will we get a classic Jerry Jones? We wait until training camp. George Pickens still hasn't shown up. Then they finally give him the contract, and he's not in shape to play football.
50:44Andy Holloway:Do they trade him? I think that that is still a possibility that could happen, and that's a huge range of outcomes for just George Pickens, the player. If George is not there, then I still like Dak, but Dak would not be my choice if I knew it was just CeeDee Lamb. so my answer is probably dart no matter what but if i know that george is there ready to go i don't mind taking the safety of of dak prescott and getting out of the jackson dart headbutting
51:19Mike Wright:everybody remember when herbert was the quarterback too to start the year with a monster 318 and three game and everybody jumped oh yeah nobody would trade him if they had him and then you remember
51:29Jason Moore:he lost all of his offensive linemen yeah but that's the story the truth is even though i love herbert i would i would rather have dac than herbert so it would go dart dac herbert
51:42Mike Wright:all right yeah yeah i'm kind of like waiting to press the accelerator on jackson dart right now feel i want to but there are a lot i mean there's new offense injured weapons draft picks to be had a lot going on there last one here when when was the
52:04Andy Holloway:but it's like neighbors got hurt in week four jackson dart started week four was his first start so yeah he got hurt on his sideline throw all the great things that jackson dart did last year were without a number one wide receiver. Or turning, you could say, oh, he turned Wandale Robinson into a number one.
52:28Mike Wright:Yeah, I mean, Dart was okay. He wasn't great. 17 a game.
52:34Jason Moore:It was pretty good. Yeah, I mean, for a rookie without weapons, and you know he's going to run. He had the one devastating game.
52:44Mike Wright:Seven for 13 for 33 yards? Yeah, I remember that.
52:47Andy Holloway:In the semi-championship round, he had a week-losing performance.
52:53Mike Wright:The zero points, did it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is that what it was?
52:55Andy Holloway:Yeah, but right before that was 22, and then championship week was 25. Yeah, those were playoffs. That's a season-losing performance. Yeah, okay. Thank you.
53:04Mike Wright:Fur for fur. Fur for fur. Isn't that Scat's number? Isn't he 44? Oh, yeah, he is. Fur for fur.
53:13Andy Holloway:That's so stupid.
53:16Mike Wright:Last one. Malik Nabors, Trey McBride, Kenneth Walker. Oh, I recuse myself. These are mid-second round picks. Nabors, Trey McBride, Kenneth Walker, wide receiver, tight end, running back. It's hard when you just play key trade cut. You're not considering anything other than these names to not want the positional advantage that Trey McBride's going to represent with Jacoby Brissett and what he was able to do last year. neighbors injury unknown ken walker the the sky's the limit it's also you know he's he's i'm keeping train mcbride is my answer i'm gonna trade uh it's the safe pick yeah he's he's completely 100 safe train mcbride nothing can go wrong for mcbride it could go wrong as in he
54:04Andy Holloway:doesn't get the amount of receptions he'll be fine like he'll still be he'll be a top three guy but
54:11Mike Wright:Yeah, I mean, he will be 100%. Will he make a difference? Don't wait. It goes wrong if he's injured. I mean, he had 111 receptions two years ago. He had 126 last year. I don't even want 26. If you give me 111 and you don't just score two times like he did two years ago, that's fair. He will be fine. McBride is the easy keep for me.
54:30Jason Moore:I am 100 % right there with you. Like I said, it's usually been Brock Bowers, Trey McBride, and then check out at the position.
54:38Mike Wright:I feel like I'm trading Ken Walker's hype, and then I'm just going to cut the injured dude. That feels bad.
54:45Jason Moore:I am very curious where these two guys, both Neighbors and Walker, not compared to each other but independently, I'm so curious where they're going to be drafted at the draft. I think I would prefer to take Walker because I expect Neighbors to get off to a slightly slower start due to coming off of the ACL injury. But, yeah, I mean, maybe if the news is good and Neighbors is back on the field, he's going to have more hype than Walker and be a back-of-the-first-round pick, which is so scary to do often. Neighbors won't make it to the first.
55:18Mike Wright:Do you not see a world where Ken Walker is just like the running back 18 this year?
55:22Andy Holloway:Eight? Not 18. I would be surprised. Okay. I would. Yeah, not 18.
55:27Mike Wright:Is this old issues I got with this dude? It could be. Yeah, I mean, let's just get, you know. I'll get on the couch.
55:36Jason Moore:Let's deal with this. What is this, his fifth year? Is that right? I think so. Four years on a rookie contract. It'll be year five. When you're going into year five and you have been basically disappointed by a player every single year, including this year where he was the Super Bowl champion, but for fantasy it was a disappointing year where he finally stayed healthy. I don't blame you for being like, not this time.
55:59Mike Wright:Not this time, Ken. Isn't it like, there's something ironic about a player that you've always had expectations for, who's always been deserving of the production, and who for four consecutive years has never given it to you to the degree that... He's never matched hope. Yeah, so then you've got a bunch of new hope on another team, but in the back of my mind, I'm going, well, what shoe drops to make this not work? Right, you're saying you have no idea what it's going to be,
56:27Jason Moore:but it will happen.
56:28Mike Wright:Something.
56:29Jason Moore:Yeah, I'm going to bet on the money and that contract. If you look at when a running back gets a certain level of contract in the offseason, they tend to perform well. And the fact that he's on Patrick Mahomes' Andy Reid team, he doesn't have a lot of competition. Obviously, he can get injured. We know that for sure.
56:49Mike Wright:For sure. Oh, gosh.
56:51Andy Holloway:All running backs can. I would say the – so if you go just, you know, while we're playing this game, you keep Kenneth Walker. if Kenneth Walker has a great week one everyone believes like the way that fantasy football works with all of this it's going to be months and months of discussing and talking about Kenneth Walker if Walker goes out week one has 80 on the ground has a couple catches and a score everyone will push every chip in and then he will be are you saying trade him? I'm saying you could but like you could You're saying Andy could because he's trying to get out. I can't trade.
57:33Mike Wright:I can't trade Walker ever. It is all of Walker's storyline, and then it is all of Chief's running back potential storylines, and both have never matched up. Other than Kareem Hunt.
57:47Andy Holloway:It's definitely matched up. It just hasn't for a while. Well, after Kareem Hunt, we've been begging for it. Yes.
57:55Mike Wright:That's all I'm saying. Kareem Hunt started the storyline for it. I would say Jamal Charles started it
58:00Andy Holloway:yeah shady
58:02Mike Wright:ever since Cream Hunt departed we've been waiting for the next Cream Hunt Clyde Edwards a layer and then Isaiah Pacheco was mixed in there but we also had other guys that were added to the roster we had the Darwin Thompsons we had the Rashad Smiths
58:18Jason Moore:Damian Williams had a flash I think the truth is if you look at the actual talent that they have had since Cream Hunt it hasn't been good Like Isaiah Pacheco, we had high hopes for. He's a seventh-round pick that was like Damian Williams. We've had flashes, but Clyde Edwards-Alaire, they thought that they were drafting that dude, but it turns out he's not that good. He's just really not that good. It wasn't the team letting him down. It was him just not being that good. If someone is actually talented, an above-average, top-ten type of talent. They have a strong line. I think they will get a lot out of the position.
58:53Mike Wright:I'm going to work on this.
58:55Jason Moore:Yeah. I'm going to do my best. It's going to take some time.
58:57Andy Holloway:And Biennium is back. I think that really matters. Okay.
59:02Jason Moore:Is it more important that he's back or that Nagy's gone? Ooh. Addition by subtraction? I think it's more important that Andy Reid's still there. I think it's perfectly balanced.
59:15Andy Holloway:It's perfectly balanced. It's the knife. Yes. Yeah. It's the Thanos knife. Everything in balance.
59:21Mike Wright:Next week we're going to get into our top 15 running backs and our top 15 wide receivers on the show, so that'll be a fun one. Any parting words, guys? Anything else you have to add?
