In short
Fantasy Footballers Podcast (4/22) is an early “Draft Day Predictions” episode. Hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright open with Jason’s golf meltdown: he’s furious after a charity round, breaks/ruins a putter (only ~3 inches of shaft left), and gets beaten by Jeremy; they joke about anger management and bets/lessons. Topic then shifts to fantasy-relevant NFL Draft news and player landing spots.
Guests
none. Only the three hosts (Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, Mike Wright).

1:23Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
1:41Welcome in.
1:45Let's go, let's go.
1:50I was going to say it's draft day, but this might be out early.
1:54Mike Wright:See, you didn't want to betray the – Yeah. What, do you got standards for your –
2:00Andy Holloway:Oh, well, I wasn't going over the original lyrics of it's football time.
2:06Mike Wright:I think we all expected it to be it's draft day time. Did you do that before? I'm sure we – There's not a good syllable situation.
2:15Andy Holloway:We've done many things.
2:16Mike Wright:The Fantasy Footballers Podcast, Jason Moore, Mike Wright, Andy Holloway. Welcome in one and all. We are going to release this show a little bit early. We've got our Draft Day Predictions episode on the show today. I haven't looked to see who won last year. I assume it was me. It was me.
2:32Andy Holloway:I'm pretty sure it was Jason.
2:33Mike Wright:Was it Jason? It was me last year, but the year before it was me, and then the year prior to that I also won. One of those years we did tie, Mike.
2:44Andy Holloway:Okay. I did check that. I'll take a dive. You know what? You had Dart to the Giants. I did. Did you have Cam there too? I did. I believe I did. I think I got both of those guys. But I need to take a break. I need to take a moment. I do need to do this. Well, I have no idea what's happening. So, look, this is show 1 ,909. Yeah.
3:08Jason Moore:We've done this for over a decade. And when you do something for a decade in life, things happen outside of the show that you know we don't bring to the show we don't bring it to the show I don't know what's happening oh I know what's happening over there things happen outside of here that we put on a happy face we come back to work and we just everything's good in life
3:34today is one of those days today is one of those days where is this the remains of your putter? I was not going to bring this up. Holy crap, guys. I was going to give you a chance to not talk about golf today. I'm not a golf guy. Ask Jeremy. I'm not a golf guy. But usually a putter is longer than this. Is this a putter for ants? This putter is
3:58Mike Wright:for those listening to the podcast. What have we got? About three inches worth of the shaft.
4:05Jason Moore:That deserves that. That remaining of the putter. Tech club deserved that. And honestly, the rest should go in ashes. I did lose to Jeremy today, but I also lost to life. Oh, no. I have spent this whole show, for the most part, squeezing this table. My hands right now are ready to lift it up. The anger that is coursing through my body right now. I can't believe you wanted to talk about it. Is this cathartic? It is, but it's like. Did you ever have to use that little golf marker you have on your hat? I pulled it off once. I'm so angry. I could. Jason didn't play well. I could eat this helmet. I could eat the helmet right now and I would feel nothing.
4:48Oh, we got something else you could eat. Oh, man. So I'll shove this in my heart. I hate golf so much. It's the worst thing in the. Don't know. Not Michael Keaton. Somebody's going to get hurt. Oh, man. This is about draft day, Jason. It's one of my favorite shows. This show, this specific episode is like one of my favorites.
5:08Mike Wright:I haven't heard Jason say anything since we got into the studio. He got here way earlier. I was not. I didn't do the golf. So I'm in here. You still shot better. Yes, you did, Mike. Yes, you did. You know that. I hate golf so much. You. What is it? You miss every shot you don't take. 100 % of the shots you don't take. Yeah, yeah. Not in golf. No. No. You don't screw up 100 % of the shots that you don't take. Yes. Well, I guess it came up, Al. Oh, man. I say, I didn't do the golf. I was in. I'm getting ready for this show. And I hear Jason walk in. Way before everybody else. Way, way before everybody else.
5:50I drove a little fast. I was very happy. The gait of the feet was faster than normal. And you fully bypassed the office. I was not ready to talk to people. See, I was like, oh, that's Tum Tum. He thought you had to poop. He thought you had to poop. I wish. He had already pooped on the course. I wish that was a Chipotle run. No, that was pure, unadulterated anger. I will tell you, I was playing in the three-pack behind Jason's three-pack.
6:19Mike Wright:When they finished, and we were waiting to hit on the final hole, and Jason went from the green to the truck in under, I mean, faster than most of the 40 times that we're talking about on today's show. He exited. He noped out of that course. I don't know if I'll ever be back. There was, I, I, and for my health, I think I shouldn't. So you've got to learn to have fun. So originally we had a hundred dollar bet on this game, right? Oh no. Oh no. How high did it get? Well, last night, last night we're talking and I had taken a lesson with a guy that I really liked and we were talking to Jason said, does he do group lessons?
6:57And I said, he does do like two adults at a time if needed. And so we decided to change the bet to, it's$175 for a two-person lesson. We changed the bet to whoever loses pays for the lesson and we go do a group lesson together. So it's actually cheaper.
7:15Jason Moore:It's like$87.50 instead of a$100 bet. Because you'd be basically buying the other person's hat. Yeah, I got it. I sent Jeremy$100 today. Oh, you're out? He sent me the$100 and said, forget the lesson, I'm out. Okay, so we will get to the draft, but I've not heard anything. Let's just have some fun. So, Jason, the picking up of golf or re-picking up of golf is not happening. But I'm saying in the course we were currently on, this was very recent.
7:48Andy Holloway:Yeah, the course has been behind you the whole time. This was like two weeks ago. You showed up, hey, I'm doing this charity golf event, and it went from there. previous to that when how long was the gap between real golfing not not top shot 15 years
8:04Mike Wright:he had not golfed in since before we started this podcast correct and you are aware that golf is like it's a hard really difficult i am very aware okay morbidly aware what were you expecting from yourself i don't need to be great at golf what i need to do is have it make sense and have my body do what I tell my body to do. That's it. But that's not what happened. We could talk for hours. You're like brand new to the sport. You've been playing 15 years? No, it's not okay.
8:35Jason Moore:Jeremy's terrible. Number two. And Jeremy beat me because I would have a much better shot off the tee. Jeremy would shank it, do something crappy, and we'd tie. Every time. We were like seven holes, six holes in, and it's just like, he's playing like crap. I'm playing not good, but better, but we're tied. Everything. It just doesn't matter.
8:56Andy Holloway:So there was a colossal meltdown. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I think going into hole seven, and we played nine, I think going into seven I was up one stroke. And it was just the putting game. The putting game was well, I got news for you. I figured out your putting game, you're too short on the old, you need a handle. This was brand new, wasn't it? That is a brand new, very nice putter that I was so thrilled to break.
9:20Mike Wright:You should sign this and give it to somebody. I would, I will. I'll sign it. Anyone can have it. That's my trophy. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I'll sign it for you. Wow. Anyways, I didn't think we were discussing this. That was not the intro I was expecting. But I did tell Al beforehand, I go, if Jason, I'm not bringing it up. But if Jason brings it up, you give me that putter. I can't believe. I got to see that putter.
9:40Jason Moore:I can't believe that that's the only club that got destroyed. I can't believe it. I'm surprised I didn't go to the parking lot and individually break every single club. Goodness gracious. So he's mad. How about we transition to the draft? Now can you move on? Let's do golf lessons. Let's also do some anger management lessons. I'm going to be talking to the therapist about this one. Oh, man. Halfway through, he goes, my therapist told me this was going to be good for me. Wrong go. Oh, no. What an idiot. This is unbelievable. The meltdown has gone. I want to be clear on something as well. The meltdown began on the driving range before the round.
10:21How did I do out there, Andy? I've never seen 20 consecutive shots go worse for him. And I just kept saying, I tried to be the good friend. I was just like, yo, just breathe, man. Next shot, next shot. They got worse and worse. When you shoot 20 times and one of them is, I mean, bad, but like I can't even say good. Anyways, all right. Football time.
10:43Mike Wright:We're back in. We are releasing this show a day early because we wanted to get our predictions out there in the world, which we were in the middle of saying Jason's the champ of the predictions. He got four of the picks right last year. I was at three, Mike at two. When people say stick to football, that's what they mean. Yeah, they do. Headline here, before we get into the news and the draft predictions, we're going to go through the big names at all of the fantasy relevant positions on today's episode and see what we think is going to happen. You know, every beat reporter has been changing their minds seven ways to Sunday because they don't really know what's going on because teams don't really want to tell you what they're thinking about doing.
11:23Mike Wright:And sometimes they'll be right about some things and sometimes they'll be wrong, but they're all positioning for trades and different transactions.
11:30Andy Holloway:Did you see, I think it was Schrager, Kyle, you can correct me if I was wrong, but essentially him talking about the number two pick where it's the Jets. And he's like, this is going to surprise everyone. We don't know because the Jets are not telling us what they're going to do. as in like the Jets always tell us what they're going to do. Yeah, okay, that was Schrager talking about it. It was so funny of the pleasant surprise of, hey, they're actually not telling us.
12:00Mike Wright:Like they're doing something they should be doing, which is not communicating their intent. Yeah. It is Ultimate Draft Week, guys. This is the biggest headline of the day. You can win a listener league spot to come play with us in the Fantasy Footballers Listener League. That is the grand prize, Ultimate Draft Week giveaway. way we're also giving away a sign you can see it on the back wall here if you're on youtube a sign jamar chase jersey a sign bijon robinson jersey and the listener league spot how do you enter pick up the udk before the end of the weekend ultimate draft kit.com it is the number one tool to win at your draft it keeps growing in terms of the value proposition each and every year we're adding more and more features jason has some very exciting things to talk about in the coming days all related to the udk if you've already bought it you already entered to win if you haven't go pick it up lowest price of the season ultimate draft kit.com by the end of the weekend and you will be very happy you did yeah if you've got the plus or if you're an ultimate foot clan member um there will be a a brand new thing coming out next week that i have been working on for months and months and months i am so doggone excited about it and i was so scared it wasn't going to be ready.
13:11It's ready.
13:12Andy Holloway:It's ready. I'm stoked. Ready like your golf game? No way more ready. I'm sticking to football. I'm sticking to football. I got this. Golf is for losers. He said he's been working
13:23Mike Wright:on this for months. He's only been working on golf like three times in 20 years and thought he'd feel good about it. I hate being bad at things. I can't handle it. That's why I quit 15 years ago. I was like, hey, I can't golf. This is why Mike and I told you verbatim, you might not want to buy new clubs the first time you play. Mike's like, you can borrow my clubs. And you're like, two minutes later, you got a cart, you got clubs, you got clothes. I can't wait to buy them for 20 cents on the dollar. Oh, yeah, I want your cart. Dude, dibs on the cart. All right, moving on. News and notes from around the league.
14:04Mike Wright:ESPN's Adam Schefter said he would watch and see. the Falcons could be looking for a trade partner for Kyle Pitts, who they're open to dealing. That would put them – I think if Kyle Pitts gets traded, they are going to take one of those big-time wide receivers at some point. So that would be interesting. Franchise tag on Kyle Pitts, right? He signed it, though, right?
14:26Andy Holloway:Yeah. I believe he's the only one who was just like, okay, money, please. Yep.

14:34Mike Wright:We have a report. I saw this yesterday. Ted Aron McMillan said he dropped about 10 to 15 pounds during his rookie season and got down to 205. He spent the offseason working on power and weight and muscle gain. This was really good news once I understood it. Yes, it was reported very confusing.
14:51Jason Moore:Yeah, this morning when I first saw it was that basically Ted was down 10 to 15 pounds. And I was like, that's not good. No, no, no, no. I don't want that. And then it was like, no, no, no. last year going into his rookie season he was focused on speed probably just training for the combine in the 40 time or whatever um and then now he's focused on getting into that man body that's what you want we talk about it a lot we want wide receivers to put on weight early in their career that's usually better than losing weight the opposite for running yeah we want wide receivers to bulk we want running backs to cut yep bucket ears sean tucker one year 3.52
15:30Mike Wright:million dollar contract he will be part of the running back room all right jason and i were talking briefly yesterday the tampa bay situation we'll talk about it on today's show let's put it that way in terms of our running back draft predictions because that that draft room they lost rashad white who's now a member of the washington commanders and if bucky irving it's
15:49Andy Holloway:just what is the well they picked up kenneth gainwell yeah bucky what is the confidence
15:54Mike Wright:level for bucky long term may determine what you see in the draft yeah bucky going into last year
15:59Jason Moore:looked like, hey, this is a piece of our franchise. Bucky going into this year is like, I'm not – it doesn't seem like they are as confident. Obviously, you had the reports, the rumors of the mental issues, the injuries as an undersized fourth-round back. So it doesn't feel like they have a complete rock-solid group.
16:20Mike Wright:Speaking of not quite rock-solid, the Steelers quarterback room. Mike McCarthy said, Will Howard and Mason Rudolph offer splitting reps in the off-season program he said quote and this is a heck of a quote i have confidence in where aaron rogers would be the day he would arrive if that's his decision i think aaron is probably more in tune than we would realize
16:43Mike Wright:the endless rope they have to know you get i mean i you think they know and they're just saying hey
16:49Andy Holloway:skip it no here's the thing i'm just gonna say two different things i think they don't know but I believe that they should know like how are you you can't allow this to happen Aaron Rodgers wasn't even good yeah that's why I asked if he earned the right for this rope he Aaron Rodgers better than Mason Rudolph probably better than Will Howard we can say probably because we just we haven't seen Will Howard so you can't say 100 but he was not that he was not the level of play that you sit back, you're like, oh, please, please, please, just come back. We'll wait. We'll wait. No, you should. They've got to do something.
17:30Mike Wright:There's a good chance Will Howard's a starting quarterback of the Steelers.
17:32Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, the Steelers brought in Carson Beck, Cole Payton, Talon Green. They brought these guys in for top 30 visits, so they are aware that they are unsure of their quarterback position.
17:43Andy Holloway:Maybe Pittsburgh will be doing what the – they're quiet quitting, as in they won't – The signals won't be as clear as everybody else. Like, you know, the Jets, the Cardinals of like, sure seems like these teams are going to play for next year, as in not play this year, and go after next year's quarterback market. I don't know, man.
18:05Jason Moore:They traded for Pittman, gave him money. This is not a team.
18:08Mike Wright:Mike McCarthy is not that kind of coach. That's the thing. And the Steelers aren't that kind of franchise. They are fine trying to win and get in the playoffs. They were 10-7. That was all Tom and stuff. They were 10-7? I think so.
18:20Andy Holloway:They were at least over 500. You have no future right now. Let's say Rodgers comes back and we win six games.
18:29Mike Wright:Well, you have a real problem if that happens. You're super hosed. They'll probably win more than that.
18:34Andy Holloway:Well, Tomlin would. Well, McCarthy, we'll find out.
18:37Mike Wright:Yeah, they were 10-7. All right, we'll take a break. We'll come back with our draft predictions. It's going to be exciting.

21:06Draft predictions.
21:15Oh, man, I forgot about that one. I didn't remember that whatsoever. In the year 2000.
21:22Mike Wright:Okie dokie. Here we go. We'll start off with an easy one. We'll start off at the quarterback position, and we will barely call it a prediction. But Fernando Mendoza, we all have going to... The Jets. Nope. Wrong. Try again. falcons oh no let's go raiders how about that yeah yeah the raiders we know their story i i saw pretty interesting right yes yeah we all got a point there um saw some pretty interesting analytics i don't know if either of you guys saw it just on the the the raiders in general their cap space the dead cap coming off the book the amount of money they spent in the offseason which look they didn't when you sign like jalen nailer you kind of mock that kind of a signing you're Like, oh, wow, they made big moves.
22:04Mike Wright:They had a lot of other significant moves. Both linebackers, Tyler Lindenbaum going to the – I mean, that is a monstrous signing. That's a big one. They traded for Max Crosby. Right. So that was pretty big. Two firsts. Yeah, two firsts for Max Crosby. I mean, they did – they have a lot going right in terms of a – where the franchise is headed. Mendoza is going to be a key piece of that. They have Bowers. They have Gentee. It was pretty interesting. if you have a first the number one overall pick and you draft a quarterback i believe the the number is 15 out of the last 20 teams that did that were above 500 within three years and so your odds are already i mean that's the way you build a franchise you just talked about pittsburgh and maybe having to tear it down to the nubs and find somebody um i think the raiders are on the path and i think you're you're kind of lining up well with the rest of the division in a few years It's not going to be this year, but adding Mendoza, having Lindenbaum, Gentry, Bowers, probably some other weapons in the draft.
23:08Mike Wright:They have six picks in the first four rounds, I think, something like that. They are well positioned. I think they're on their way.
23:15Andy Holloway:They have done – I think they've done about as good as you can. Had they been able to get the two firsts for Max Crosby, I think that's better for them long term. Sure. But, you know, the coaching hires, we like all that stuff. Is Mendoza the truth? That, I mean, I feel like it's always impossible to actually know. It's your best shot at the truth in this draft.
23:40Mike Wright:Yeah. Oh, yes, for sure. And we're all going for the Raiders there. So let's move to Ty Simpson. The only other quarterback we'll throw a prediction in for today. Ty Simpson has been linked very often to the Cardinals lately. uh he had top 30 visits with arizona cleveland and the dolphins he had a private workout with the jets ty simpson draft day predictions he's been on the fringe of the first and second round uh in terms of where a lot of people are estimating he'll go i think he is a perfect candidate for a like dropping significantly just because when i look at that top of the second round, you know, I don't see very many teams that would take him outside of Arizona and the Jets.
24:23Jason Moore:It's the Jets and Arizona in that order at the top of the second round, 33 and 34, that are both rumored, both brought him in, both have desperate needs for him. The question, I think, is because of the Jets at 33, the Jets at 33 are the reason that the Cardinals are so rumored to be trading up for him, to just kind of hop over. If they were to trade with Seattle two spots get that fifth year option and get ahead of the Jets that would make sense uh I went back and forth here between those two teams it does seem like it's going to be one
24:54Mike Wright:of those two teams yeah I went uh why don't you guys go first you guys both went with Arizona
24:58Andy Holloway:I went Arizona and I'm gonna I'm gonna go bonus point though I think they trade up to Seattle's pick oh 32 and they draft Ty Simpson well like Jason just said that would be the target I think
25:13Mike Wright:the jets would be okay taking him at 33 that's the pick i'm going with i don't think the cardinals get it figured out i think maybe that's been overplayed um i'm gonna go with the jets the crazy thing is like if the jets don't take him don't want him at 33 like i feel like he would
25:32Jason Moore:be available to trade to like trade up to 60 and you know what i mean like miami's at 43 they'd be
25:38Mike Wright:in contention the jets at 44 from dallas those would be a couple picks i'd keep my eyes on if
25:43Andy Holloway:he falls ty simpson can easily malik willis or should do or this where yeah because a little bit
25:52Mike Wright:because pittsburgh could be in play at 53 by the way or trading up pittsburgh is another they absolutely could it's just the so the known top 30 visits for simpson arizona cleveland
26:04Andy Holloway:Miami and then the private workout for the New York Jets. The way that he's been talked about, it feels more like the quarterback that's going to have the longer wait.
26:17Mike Wright:All right, let's have some fun, guys. Let's move on to the running back position. Considered by many to be the best player in the draft, Jeremiah Love out of Notre Dame. draft day prediction for Jeremiah Love who will instantly go and change a backfield into a likely very dominant running back room. I am going to it took me a long time. I dismissed it for many many months. I'm going to go with the New York football Giants. I think that the Cardinals I know. I know. The people hated Andy. Here's what I think is going to happen. Oh and I'm going to be wrong. I mean, Jason's going to be right. Remember, he gets it right.
26:59Mike Wright:Sick, then I'm right too. But I think the Cardinals will trade out a three. I think it will be with a team that wants to come up and get a defensive player. If Arvell Reese is there, maybe Sonny Stiles. I don't think someone's trading up with the Cardinals for Jeremiah Love. And I don't think that Tennessee is going to pull the trigger on him at four. I think the Giants are not going to be able to resist him on the board at five. Best player available. They now have two top ten picks. their ability to take the shot on jeremiah love you know and still get a defensive player or another wide receiver is there i'm going to go with the giants that one's i don't blame you
27:38Andy Holloway:but i think that that's an impactful for one of your later predictions i think it makes that a little more interesting but so i'm going titans uh i've had him going number four i'd yeah you've pretty maybe it's take lock but it's just i haven't seen anything to sway me off yeah it's
27:55Jason Moore:it's weird um every mock everywhere always just has jeremiah love to the titans and it feels like one of those things that's just been so copied and silent if you're the titans you're like yeah just just sure you know and so i could see we are totally going to yeah exactly i could see him not being taken there he shouldn't be taken there they have too many holes to fill teams in the top five should not be taking a running back ever uh but i do have him going to the titans i'm gonna I'm going to stick with that. All right.
28:21Mike Wright:So Giants, Titans, Titans for Jeremiah Love. I have seen Washington, obviously, in recent mock drafts as well, who are there at seven, I believe. I feel like if he doesn't go at five, he goes to Washington. Yeah. Jadarian.
28:34Jason Moore:That would be my dream. Like for fantasy football, my dream is that he goes to the commanders. If I could pick the team in the top ten.
28:42Andy Holloway:I think Giants is equally as good as just the – But Cam. Yes. I'm saying if he goes –
28:49Mike Wright:I mean, you can see that working. That's what convinced me this last week is I started to think about Love and Scat being a good tandem.
28:56Andy Holloway:Yes, it can work. We think of team construction. You're better off taking a different player and rolling with Scataboo and Tracy. But Love would be great in New York. It's just the emotional sadness for the fantasy community.
29:12Mike Wright:All right, it's going to get a little more wide open here. Darian Price out of Notre Dame, the running mate for Jeremiah Love. I saw that late. Was this a late pivot? Did you make a change? It was a late pivot.
29:26Jason Moore:Originally, I had him going 32 to the Seahawks. That was at the end of the first round, sneaking in there. The Seahawks desperately need a running back. But then I remembered something. John Schneider is awesome. The GM for the Seahawks. He is really, really smart. He is just, I mean, he's built two different teams with no coaches and no players together to the Super Bowl, just won a Super Bowl, made the brilliant move with Russ to get out, made the brilliant move from Geno to Darnold. and I think that would be one, I don't think Jadarian Price is the number two back in here and he's definitely not a first round talent in my evaluation and they will probably trade back gather more picks and use some like mid second, mid third that they don't have to take a different player so I pivoted and I think the reports are coming out that this team is very interested, they met with them, the Jaguars are in need Basial Tootin and Crod
30:25Mike Wright:and Crod oh no they're not they're not gonna be a contender Jacksonville you probably need to add a back for sure no I disagree with you I think John Schneider will take Jadarian Price at 32 this is the same you said he's a great GM this is the same GM that drafted Rashad Penny in the first round he was great um no no that was not a great pick um don't know what you're talking about but Seattle the injuries Andy Seattle is who I I think when push comes to shove their probably price or trade back. I think that's going to be their mentality is take them at 32 or trade back.
31:00Andy Holloway:I already told you they're trading back. Which they could just take them in the second round. Hey, we're going vibes, baby. My vibes. Because crazy stuff happens and it's like, you know who loves running backs and needs another running back? Because I don't think Seattle takes price in the first. The Detroit Lions. Isaiah Pacheco, he could work. If you have no one else, okay, you have Pacheco as your backup. But you need a little bit more oomph. Yeah, you need a little bit more power now that David Montgomery is gone. And if anyone doesn't mind spending high draft capital on the running back if they think it's the right guy, when you already have good players,
31:42Mike Wright:the Lions will do it. Yeah, we're going to get surprised with several picks that are in that category of, I didn't think you needed that, but you took it. The same conversation is the Jeremiah Love to the Giants. You're like, oh, well, do you take the best player that helps your team? I think that one's really interesting. Mike Washington, Jr. I talked about it earlier. Tampa Bay. That's where I'm going to go. I'm going to go Tampa Bay. He did visit with Tampa, top 30 visits, Atlanta, Tampa, Green Bay, and Seattle. So Seattle very much in play. I thought really long and hard about putting Seattle for both Price and Washington and hedging because I think they end up with one.
32:24Mike Wright:And I think, Jason, you had done that with – I had that. But now Price is not to Seattle for you. Correct. Yeah, so I will go Tampa Bay. Coward. I think they'll try to add another running back to that room.
32:37Andy Holloway:Jay? Well, I figured –
32:38Jason Moore:With Mike Washington, I'm going to go with the Falcons. I know they've got Brian Robinson there and Bijon, but they did meet with him on a top 30 visit. where their draft capital is it makes sense to me um there's always surprises in every draft where it's like wait why um mike washington i don't know i'm not that bullish on him so i think he slips past where his current mock drafts are having him go high well perhaps you will have to
33:08Andy Holloway:get more bullish jason when mike washington ends up as a seattle seahawk i sure would they A, like, Ken Bone Walker is gone. If you like that archetype of just, you know, the faster, more athletic type, I was going to say maybe shiftier, but Mike Washington forced missed tackles was not very, is not Kenneth Walker-like. But with the draft falling, I don't think Seattle goes early, and I think they're patient and wait for the running back, and they can get him either in the late second or even the third.
33:41Mike Wright:He might go higher than that, Mike. That 4-3-3 40-yard dash. I know. We'll see. It moved him up. Yeah, I've seen him in first-round mocks very frequently. Gross. Really? Yeah, at the end of the first. Yeah, I've seen it. I mean, I don't think that that's likely.
33:58Andy Holloway:I think you get your mock draft license revoked.
34:01Mike Wright:99th percentile speed score for Mike Washington. All right, Jonah Coleman and Emmitt Johnson will be the last two names at the running back position for our predictions here. Jonah Coleman, I went with the Minnesota Vikings.
34:14Andy Holloway:Love it. Yeah, that's great. I think all three of our spots would make us happy, I think.
34:19Mike Wright:Yeah. Jason, this is where you have Seattle finding their running back.
34:22Jason Moore:Yeah, I'm going to put Seattle with the back that I think is the best back outside of love. It would be exciting. That's Jonah Coleman. He's also, you know, obviously he played in Washington, so he was in for a local visit. It makes sense.
34:37Andy Holloway:and I'm going with one that's just off the path here Houston I know they got David Montgomery but they do need some uh some more answers and I think Jonah Coleman fits in perfectly with what Houston's trying to do Emmett Johnson Emmett Mike and I are aligned on this one we are both uh we
34:57Mike Wright:both decided Jeremiah Love was not falling to them at seven and so Emmett is going to well we're going with washington yeah the commanders we're both going with the washington commanders hopefully what a day two pick yeah um washington picks at 71 early third round um i think that's about where i had him slotted in so we'll see if he ends up there i like i i did like him at johnson
35:23Andy Holloway:yeah the production profile is is is monstrous i'm going with the minnesota vikings no team in
35:32Jason Moore:the NFL brought in more running backs for top 30 visits than the Vikings. They are going to get a running back in this draft. You had them with the last running back. I've got them taking him.
35:41Andy Holloway:And that's a longer term, that's a great landing spot for your rookie drafts. It will take time because Aaron Jones is there and Jordan Mason is still around. So whoever the rookie is, they'll have to work their way up. Should be a good offense. But year two is not a lot in front of them. That's a player that will gain value over the year.
36:00Mike Wright:Before we take a break and talk about the strength of the draft, the wide receiver position, Jason, I just need to check in. Are you doing so much better? It was cathartic. It was better than not talking about it.
36:11Jason Moore:Yeah, I was in a bad, bad, bad, bad place. So I think that talking about it was really helpful. I can think, I can see clearly, like red is not over my eyes right now.
36:24Mike Wright:You were not looking like a happy man. I was so upset. Have you ever been in this place in any other sport?
36:29Jason Moore:like pickleball yeah in moments moments yeah but i can play pickleball i can't play golf
36:36Mike Wright:so it's frustrating yeah you can auction your stuff off we're ready for it uh let's take a break we'll talk about wide receiver predictions this should be fun

37:31Jason Moore:Now also available with an ESPN unlimited plan. And for the first time ever, Super Bowl 61. Marquee matchups, MVP quarterbacks, international games, the whole season start to finish. Football's on ESPN.
37:51Mike Wright:all right we're back into our draft prediction starting with ohio state's carnell tate
37:58Andy Holloway:and it appears we are now unanimous we are i was surprised we're surprised by this we all one has to be the sacrificial someone has to be banished to siberia we all three went with carnell tate
38:13Jason Moore:to the Browns. That's a real dangerous pick. Obviously, early in the draft, it's very easy as soon as they pass by him. Well, we got that one wrong, and then all the chips fall differently. Which is very possible.
38:22Mike Wright:They have such a high pick that they may not go wide receiver there.
38:27Jason Moore:It makes sense. Obviously, they do need a wide receiver. If they want one of the top three guys, it seems more and more likely it's not going to get to their second pick. For the Jets and for the Browns, early on in the process, it seemed like, hey, one of these three guys maybe falls to their second pick and that's not happening anymore. At least that's not how it appears. So if you want your guy, you're going to have to take him there.
38:49Mike Wright:Jordan Tyson out of Arizona State. I don't remember who he was on your guys' list. He's my number one rank.
38:55Andy Holloway:He's number one.
38:56Mike Wright:This is what you thought was complicated about my situation. I actually have the Giants taking two offensive weapons for Jackson Dart. Five and ten. I have them using five and ten both on weapons. That's expensive. So Jordan Tyson is who I have going to the Giants. Mike, you also have Jordan Tyson to the Giants. He had dinner with Mr. Harbaugh. They seem very intrigued by him.
39:19Andy Holloway:Number one, which is really the only reason I'm putting Jordan Tyson to the New York Giants is because it would rule.
39:28Mike Wright:That's my analysis. That's a fine reason. It would be awesome. Neighbors, Tyson.
39:35Jason Moore:Having the 5 and 10 gives them real, real flexibility. they can it's so funny though because it gives them the flexibility to do this and take two offensive players in the top 10 and just try to revamp it i have them doing the exact opposite like i've got them taking two defensive players i didn't get oh yeah uh i had uh them taking down to the five which i think you could only do if you've got two top five picks anyways um a report came out this morning according to tony pauline that the saints will likely wait until day two to select a wide receiver so of course i have them going to the saints on day one you said nay
40:12Mike Wright:to that report um i don't know it's just rejecting the you know the hot farts of the day before the draft you never know what's going to happen it just seems like how could anyone report that
40:24Jason Moore:how how could someone report they're going to wait until day two to take a wide receiver unless one of two things happen one they really are a true insider best friend and they they've kind of got they've seen the draft you know they've seen the just sneaky snook or or they got told they got told like we're gonna wait you would never do that that's a leak not to mention you
40:50Mike Wright:can't guarantee waiting it most people are not going to build a board that's like hey an amazing wide receivers on the board we're not taking them yeah no matter what but in a world where people expect you to leak lies. What if you leak the truth? Next level. He fakes about faking. Checkers. Did you guys? Oh, man.
41:10Andy Holloway:I tweeted it out. I've got to go pull it up. But it was not the other ESPN guy, former draft guy. McShay. McShay. Oh, my gosh. The timeline of pick number two. Unbelievable. Literally just day to day. He's like, it's unquestionably Arvell Reese. Oh, without a doubt, it's Bailey. It was disgusting reading that. I was like, I like McShay. I do too.
41:40Jason Moore:But what the day-by-day tweets were was just unacceptable. Yeah, try to find it because it was adamant. Okay, here we go. April 15th. Now we're back to David Bailey and it's close to a foregone conclusion in NFL draft circles.
41:58Andy Holloway:book it April 16th if I had to put my money on it right now it would be David Bailey the 17th I sent out a text the answer I got back was we canceled the David Bailey meeting so which is the top 30 meeting April 18th I'm going to bed believing it's Arvel Reese at the Jets pick number two okay April 19th the next day last Sunday I said I wasn't decided now here's my information it's Arvel Reese at number two okay so he changed his mind but at least he's sure now. Right, right. Two days later. I'm now with the belief that it's David Bailey.
42:31Jason Moore:And you want to know what's crazy because he's McShay. Every time that those tweets came out, it moved the lines. Like at sports books were like, oh, minus minus one 20 for Bailey minus two 10 for Reese.
42:45Mike Wright:That's rough, man. I understand it's difficult and you got to parse the information and you will have a change of opinion. I hope it's a bit. Just like every day. Well, the change of opinion doesn't have to equal that level of hyperbole conviction in your tweet. Mike, if Jordan Tyson ends up with the Giants, how hot and bothered is the Jackson Dart conversation going to be this offseason? It will be... Because I feel like if Jason's right and Tyson ends up with the Saints, you've got Olave Tyson with Tyler Shuck excitement. You should equip these guys. No matter whether it's now with this guy or later, Dart and Shuck need to be equipped with weapons.
43:29Mike Wright:That's why I don't think they'll pass on both spots for an offensive weapon. I could be wrong. Harbaugh, they just traded Dexter Lawrence. They need to solidify.
43:38Andy Holloway:What will be tough, if Tyson goes to the Giants, that will shake and move Jackson Dart's ADP. Where right now, to me, what I've seen is it's palatable. It's not everyone is like, this is for sure happening.
43:50Mike Wright:yeah i agree where is where is he at quarterback right now i can is he in the top 10 pull that up but it's like probably eight what meanwhile right now dart is seven he's in the that's back of the seventh round behind jalen hurts do you absolutely want jaden daniels over jackson dart if this move happened let's pretend jeremiah love and jordan tyson went to the giants is he a top five pick
44:11Andy Holloway:because he runs the football he dart would yeah he would unfortunately get steamed up is what i'm going to say, but if one of them goes to Shuck, who is Shuck? Do you have the ADP still in front of you?
44:22Mike Wright:He's got to be like quarterback 18-20.
44:25Andy Holloway:Kyle is saying on underdog, dart is QB 11. Okay. That's wild. That's a discount. That's wild to me of where he is right now. You put Tyson on that team, that's even crazier, but Shuck could turn into the true late-round guy because Shuck runs more than you think.
44:43Mike Wright:Well, we have four more wide receivers and then a couple tight ends to get through. mckay lemon out of usc we went unanimous on this one um i still think other i mean there are other teams in play for sure the dolphins i think would be a jets yep this this mckay all went with the
45:01Jason Moore:rams by the way yeah we did um board lit up it's it's a tough spot because he's got to get to the rams past a few wide receiver needy teams obviously we just had tyson and carnell tate going ahead of Mekhi Lemon. If that order is different, then he'll never make it to the Rams.
45:22Mike Wright:Omar Cooper Jr. out of Indiana. Right now, his over-under in the first round is 23.5. Seems like he's going to be a first-round pick. I think there will be a lot of wide receiver needy teams that see those first three guys go and start fighting over the next three, which would be Omar Cooper, Denzel Boston, and Concepcion. Not necessarily in that order. I went with Carolina. I think Carolina is going to make a splash move at wide receiver. Another. They have to give Bryce Young the chance to be it this year, and they can't do it with the existing room.
45:56Andy Holloway:They're like, Bryce Young, we think you can surpass 200 yards a game. That's it. We believe in you. That's confidence. I'm going with the Philadelphia.
46:03Mike Wright:Are you talking about the playoff Carolina Panthers?
46:05Andy Holloway:I am. I still stand by my statistic. I'm going with the Eagles. of it's the A.J. Brown gets traded either, well, not either. We wait for him to be traded, and Cooper is just sitting there waiting to replace him.
46:22Jason Moore:And I'm going to go with the Steelers. They've still been looking at a lot of wide receivers. It's kind of weird to me that they would be so focused on the position after having D.K. Metcalf and Michael Pittman, but they are. So I think where they are in the draft, Cooper could be there.
46:37Andy Holloway:I love thinking about the Pittsburgh Steelers with Cooper. Sorry, do you think a first-rounder? Is that where you're going? Okay, so a first-round pick, Omar Cooper. Then their other two wide receivers are both second-round picks, and there will be no one to throw them the ball. Will Howard, baby. Yeah, Will Howard. Will Howard would be interesting.
46:55Jason Moore:Also, let the record show. I think Omar Cooper will go in the first round. I do not think Omar Cooper is a first-round talent. Okay.
47:03Mike Wright:Denzel Boston out of Washington. A lot of top 30 visits. Boston out of Washington. Yeah. This is Denzel Washington. You realize that? Do you realize that? It's Denzel Washington. He's from Washington. Yeah. My man. My man. Denzel. All right. Denzel Washington. Well, we figured that out. The 49ers is going to be my pick. Oh, yeah. The 49ers with Denzel Boston. That would be exciting. He did visit with them. We're all playing roulette here with these three names where we've got the same teams in contention, just different receivers.
47:43Jason Moore:Yeah, I got the Jets with their second pick taking Denzel Boston.
47:47Andy Holloway:No, it wouldn't. And I'm going Miami.
47:50Mike Wright:Yep, they are going to get one for sure, I think. They need all of them. It was funny. I did my pick-by-pick official mock draft that I thought,
48:00Jason Moore:and obviously the Dolphins desperately need a wide receiver. Desperately. And the way that the draft fell, according to my mind, was like there was no one there for them where they were picking. Could happen.
48:11Mike Wright:All right. Denzel Boston, the 49ers, Jason with the Jets, Mike with the Dolphins, and then Casey Concepcion.
48:16Jason Moore:Mike and I went with the 49ers. Obviously, they need a wide receiver. They brought in Mike Evans, but they have to get some youth in there. Ricky Pearsall has not shown that he's the future. He hasn't flamed out. He hasn't busted, but at the same time, Jawan Jennings was a better wide receiver for this team right and that says something all right I
48:38Mike Wright:actually went with the Philadelphia Eagles who Mike I think gave Omar Cooper to yeah I think he is they're going to add somebody for sure the weird thing about the Dolphins because I realized they did not project a team the Dolphins with one of these names they're at 11 so you know they could grab one of the big names potentially they're at 30 the over-under on a lot of these other names is going to be underneath that they don't need to trade up if they want to use that second pick i think to get the names we talked about today um or take them you know maybe it's makai lemon or something at 11 let's turn the page now kenyon sadiq eli uh stowers let's go kenyon sadiq looks like you two were on the same page we were and i was surprised because we we did these completely independently i did mine via a mock um just pick his out on the golf course you were like very studious i was like vibes yeah you were vibes and then i came back to the dog and i was like
49:35Jason Moore:i'll set up a gun uh we both went with the panthers which would be a bit of a fall um the panthers in the first round where are they picking there that's not bad i mean that's about where i think
49:45Mike Wright:he's going that me too i guess wait are you talking is it 19 oh that would be a bit of a fall i guess i was thinking 14 15 so um yeah i i think they're definitely in contention another weapon for Bryce Young fits the mold for equipping him. I went with the Minnesota Vikings. I think Minnesota is in play. He visited with them. We'll see what happens.
50:09Jason Moore:They're the pick before Carolina. Yeah, that's... We'll have our breath held at the 18th pick.
50:16Mike Wright:Eli Stowers out of Vanderbilt, who we love. I went with the Philadelphia Eagles. I went with the Philadelphia Eagles for Stowers. They're going to keep trying to add weapons, so that's the direction I'm going to go on the prediction and see if they can end up with Stowers maybe in the second round maybe move up a little bit in the second round and get him in the 40s maybe not, maybe get him in 54.
50:40Jason Moore:You shouldn't have to move up according to where he is his mock draft database, I think he's in the 60s he's been lower a couple months ago to start this process he was like, pick 100 was his assumption. And then we started talking about him Yeah, exactly. Then we got hot and bothered for them. I think Philly, man, with that defense. Oh, I love your pick. I told you that when you put it in there.
51:00Mike Wright:They can go wide receiver, tight end, reset the market.
51:02Jason Moore:They've always had a tight end. Zach Ertz into Dallas Goddard. They need a wide receiver with the presumed departure of A.J. Brown, and Dallas Goddard is not long for the team. So Stowers would be perfect there. I had the Broncos in here because the Broncos want Stowers. I think that is for sure. But they pick late in the second. I have Stowers getting picked very high in the second, way above the expectation. I have the Titans taking them right off the bat in the second round.
51:31Andy Holloway:And I'm going with the Baltimore Ravens. Yeah, they could do it. Always looking for weapons. Lost Isaiah Likely. Chose Mark Andrews.
51:40Mike Wright:It's not impossible for them to take Sadiq at 14 as well. Oh, yeah. I agree with them as a definite contender for a top tight end. top guy did um what do we got we got some statistics in here from every year somehow
51:57Jason Moore:and i don't know i don't know the rules and what he does but he has kyle makes this uh doc that tracks our picks and basically gives knockout power because obviously if you know for instance if jeremiah love goes for that hurts andy who has him going five and then we knock you out um The knockout power.
52:19Mike Wright:So like if certain people's picks are right. Yeah, I mean, you guys had quite a few that matched. I mean, me and Mike had a couple. I don't know if me and you had any that matched, Jason, which scares me because you've been winning this every year. Mendoza.
52:31Jason Moore:Okay. Yeah, that's fair.
52:32Mike Wright:I think you'll get that one right. But yeah, we'll see. It's fun. It's exciting. We wanted to get the show out early for you just so that you had an opportunity to listen to it.
