In short
Fantasy Footballers’ NFC draft recap (4/30), focusing on “winners and losers” for dynasty/redraft fantasy—especially how landing spots affect targets, touches, and year-1 expectations.
Guests/hosts
Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, Mike Wright (Fantasy Footballers). No additional guests named.
Key claims
- Cardinals: Jeremiah Lovett (Lovett) is a likely fantasy disappointment in year 1 (projected around RB12–15) because James Conner and Tyler Algier will still take goal-line work and receptions; Arizona’s offense was strong in total production but inefficient (EPA), and the defense wasn’t addressed.
- 49ers: DeJount Stribling and Caelan Black are criticized as early reaches; 49ers’ draft history is inconsistent.
- Rams: Ty Simpson at No. 13 is viewed as a high-ceiling development bet behind Matthew Stafford/McVay; Rams’ tight end room is a fantasy “loser” due to too many TE options.
- Seahawks: Jadarian Price is a fantasy winner (immediate workload), while Charbonnet is a loser.
- Giants: Malachi Fields is a “shot now” landing spot; Malik Nabors is a winner.
- Commanders: Antonio Williams is a fantasy winner/WR2 opportunity; Catron Allen is a later-round backfield add.
- Cowboys/Eagles: Philadelphia’s Makai Lemon and Eli Stowers add weapons if AJ Brown leaves; Cowboys draft is framed as defense-heavy (bad for fantasy).
Notable examples
Aaron Rodgers Steelers right-of-first-refusal tender; Bo Nix ankle cleanup; Jawan Jennings visiting Vikings; Lions exercising Jameer Gibbs’ option; Jonathan Brooks ACL recovery uncertainty.

5:22Andy Holloway:Also, then you have it.
5:23Mike Wright:Right. That is also one of the perks is having it once you get it. ultimatedraftkit.com for that let's move on to the news
5:31Jason Moore:news and notes from around the league
5:36Mike Wright:so much for knowing before the draft huh the steelers placed the rare right of first refusal tender on aaron rogers never even heard of this tender it means that he can accept a 10 raise off of last year's salary which would pay him about 15 million this year from another
5:52Jason Moore:team right and then they could match it yes that is what a cool thing that he has forced them to do yeah weird um aaron rogers is going to be the quarterback aaron rogers is not going to get i don't i'm where how are you at give me your odds okay my odds are 95 i'm like i'm like 55 45 no i can't imagine aaron rogers will howard this is aaron rogers decision howard over allard so in my opinion this is just does aaron rogers want to play football or not and by the time football starts coming around i think he's going to be like yeah i want to play football so i talked
6:32Mike Wright:to some of i've got friends that are lifelong stealer flans they've grown up flans they're flans like the gelatin yeah no I got it um they grew up you know yellow and and black like they don't want Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback they they think it is a lost season they would like to see Will Howard or Drew Haller or anybody else if I was a Steelers fan 100 % I would not want
6:57Jason Moore:Aaron Rodgers anywhere near the team it's not best for your future it will probably win the most games this season to have Aaron Rodgers there? Not best for your future.
7:08Mike Wright:Remember when Hakeem Olajuwon was on the Toronto Raptors, Jason? Nope. What? He was. Really? Yeah, Hakeem Olajuwon played for the Raptors. This is the dream. The Canadian dream? The Canadian dream. The Canadian dream shake up there in the Great White North. It's a fact. But, you know what? We're not going to remember Aaron Rodgers as the Steelers. No. The Steelers. We're going to remember the Packer and he had amazing years and will be a Hall of Famer. But can we – he's doing – it's weird to be – We're done with this. We've already done the Brett Favre thing. Yeah. It's just funny.
7:40Andy Holloway:Can't wait for Jordan Love to do this.

7:42Mike Wright:Oh, yeah. I guess that's inevitable. NFL Network's Ian Rappaport reporting. Rappaporting, as I like to say, that Broncos quarterback Bo Nix underwent a successful and anticipated follow-up cleanup procedure on his ankle. Well, he had the injury that forced us into not getting to watch him in the title game, right?
8:03Andy Holloway:I'm just laughing at the anticipated part there. It was successful. It was anticipated. We knew we were going to do this.
8:09Jason Moore:We didn't accidentally have surgery. We knew we were going to do it.
8:13Andy Holloway:He didn't slip on a banana peel and fall on a gurney. The scapoles in my ankle. Quick, perform surgery.
8:18Mike Wright:One of the most anticipated surgeries in history. This one. Free agent wide receiver Jawan Jennings visited the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday. Still a free agent. Jennings has spent at least three off seasons begging to be worth more. And deserving to be worth more? I think at one point, yes, but I don't feel that way. Like, Jennings is a solid receiver, sure. I think he has a lot to offer a team. You want him to bring it to Minnesota?
8:47Andy Holloway:As the wide receiver three, he would be very helpful.
8:50Mike Wright:Lions exercise Jameer Gibbs' 50-year option for 2027. Shocking. That one makes sense. And also, Quinton Johnston. Man, huge. what a roller coaster that's been look at us look at us whoever thought we would be here together we are in the middle of doing our team by team player by player stat analysis you know projecting every single player that goes into the udk so we are looking closely at these teams i saw jason he tweeted a disparaging remark about the dolphins after looking at them in the udk well it was
9:22Jason Moore:because i had to i had to stat their wide receivers right no that's not a pleasant experience but i
9:28Mike Wright:I look at the Chargers and I see this team desperately needing Quinton Johnston. It's like you look at what they have. They desperately need him. They desperately need him. So fifth-year option makes sense to me. Jonathan Brooks. Yes, Jonathan Brooks. Said he's been fully cleared to participate in Carolina's offseason program and feels close to 100%. Tore his ACL out of Texas. Retoured in 2024. Really sad story. I mean, this was the highest drafted running back of that class, right?
9:58Andy Holloway:Yes, he was. Ahead of Trey Benson. Yeah, I mean. Andy, have you been tweaking any Carolina projections yet?
10:06Mike Wright:Not with Jonathan Brooks. I mean, I have gotten into Carolina, yes. Okay.
10:10Andy Holloway:I just wondered how you were handling Chuba versus Johnny Brooks because I haven't got to them yet, but it's like in just the vibes and thinking through the situation, Chuba feels like he will go back to what he was two years ago, which was a massive steal because I just – making the bet on Brooks feels so difficult right now.
10:32Jason Moore:It's really tough when you come back from an ACL and then have an immediate ACL rupture again. And now he's coming back, and you'd hope that this quote is like, I'm 100%. And he's still like, I'm close to 100%, which is not great. I've done the Panthers. I had Chuba down for 230 carries to Brooks' 72. Oh, okay.
10:53Mike Wright:He had Chuba at 230. I have him at 205 right now. But I also spread the ball to A.J. Dillon's on that roster now. Trevor Etienne, rookie last year, had 20 opportunities. He could get more this year. And Jonathan Brooks, it's really hard to expect much from him, but it would be nice to see him on the field, I think.
11:12Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, this is one of the – like, think about this. We're doing rookie drafts all over the place right now around the office. were doing real rookie drafts. All over the place. You get to these places in the middle of the second where just the floor drops out and you're just guessing. The middle of the second? I was being kind. Late first, yes. At about 112 where I was picking. But what pick would you say, you know what, I would rather take a shot on Jonathan Brooks if I could basically draft him here, this version. trade what pick right now in your rookie picks to go acquire Jonathan Brooks.
11:55Mike Wright:I don't think he would go ahead of Adam Randall or Mike Washington.
12:00Andy Holloway:He would for me.
12:02Mike Wright:Okay.
12:02Andy Holloway:Middle of the second? I'll do a second rounder for Jonathan Brooks. So you would go make that trade? It's real volatile of can Jonathan Brooks ever come back.
12:13Mike Wright:This is just because of draft capital and talent?
12:16Jason Moore:And age. He's still very young. I mean, I think he's younger than some of these running backs you'll be drafting as a rookie this year.
12:22Mike Wright:And how old are his knees? 72. Okay. I don't think we have any other news, so let's just jump right in. We've got the entire NFC to get through today. It's time.
12:37Jason Moore:Hey, rookie. Welcome to the NFL.
12:41Mike Wright:Turns out the Cardinals play in the NFC, and we're starting with the NFC West, which means our 3-14 Cardinals are the first team we'll get to talk about. Huzzah.
12:52Jason Moore:We shared a lot of information on our opinions of the Jeremiah Love pick on the last episode. I know it was the AFC, but so many big storylines were out of the NFC, and we are the Cardinals fans. So we kind of launched the show. If you want more details, I don't think we'll rehash the contract situation and all that. Well, just suffice to say, the Cardinals are so freaking stupid. And we weren't talking about it. You just rehashed it. I just recapped it. Oh, much different. Just they're stupid.
13:23Mike Wright:A recap is more brief than a rehash.
13:25Jason Moore:The details are on the last episode.
13:27Mike Wright:Cap goes on the top. The Cardinals drafted the player projected to be the number one rookie pick. And them drafting him didn't change that. Correct. Jeremy Love is still the number one pick. I think in the majority of rookies. I would not mind if somebody wanted to take Carnell Tate. It's not happening where I'm watching drafts. But I don't think that that is – historically, you look back at rookie drafts and how stupid we are half the time. I don't think that that is – if you're a team that's completely flush at running back, I don't think Tate is a bad pick.
14:00Andy Holloway:Right. And, like, I don't know what just nasty bad karma Tyler Algier has. poor, let's say a prayer for him. He gets drafted by the Falcons. Oh.
14:15Jason Moore:Tyler.
14:16Andy Holloway:Day three pick breaks their record, their rookie record for rushing. Over 1 ,000 yards. And they're like, yeah, but we got a chance to get Bichon. Oh, what is the lights doing? It's like we're in a real storm. Oh, and you're like, oh, that sucks, man. I get it, though. It's Bichon. Don't worry. This will never happen to you again. One day I'll be a real boy. Gets paid to be a starter. We get reports that Algiers is like, yo, what the heck, man? I was brought here to be the starter. And then the Cardinals are like, no, because we can get Jeremiah Love. So Algiers is the biggest loser. It sucks.
14:52Andy Holloway:I feel bad for that guy because I think he really deserved his chance. And for fantasy, Algiers will do some of the stuff they did to Bijan and be stealing touchdowns.
15:03Jason Moore:The Arizona Cardinals. Because he's good. The Arizona Cardinals. could have had no question that whether or not they would be able to draft Jeremiah Lovett three. There's no, the jets aren't doing that with Brees Hall who they've got on franchise and Mendoza's one. So it's like, this is not like, Oh, you couldn't see this coming before you signed Tyler Algier. That is a very, come on, You guys are so stupid.
15:28Mike Wright:That's because they didn't really have this plan. Well, someone started to trade him. They didn't get what they wanted because nobody bent because nobody else wants to draft a running back at three all right yeah but from a fantasy perspective he'll be i think here and connor both massive losers jeremiah love will be the bell cow you don't draft a running back at three and not let him do that algier could steal some touchdowns like you said but i think love will have 200 plus opportunities agreed um i would say rookie
15:57Jason Moore:year jeremiah love is going to be a disappointment i i believe fantasy wise where he's drafted he'll be a slight disappointment it is not a bad landing spot destination going forward they don't have as bad an offensive line as like the raiders with gentsy last year are you thinking a genti level disappointment yeah very similar i mean genti was the running back 12 last year but still was definitely a disappointment not a good i think so i mean right now i expect jeremy i love to end up in my rankings at like running back 15 okay like a running back 12 yeah i know we don't like the
16:32Mike Wright:team and we don't think they'll win. But the truth about Arizona is that their offense was very good, which a couple of percent. Like, statistically, you look at it, they were very good. They were
16:42Andy Holloway:ninth. They were ninth. In total offense. In totality, yes. Their actual EPA and everything like that was really, really bad.
16:52Mike Wright:If you look at that offense, they have every piece you could want to dominate. They have Harrison and Wilson. Wilson, who went crazy last year. They have the best tight end in the league in McBride. They have now a number three overall pick, the highest paid running back in the league. They have a lot of weapons on that team. It's just wild to me that it's like they just need to figure out the play call, the passer.
17:19Jason Moore:They also did not in any way, shape, or form this offseason address their defense at all. Which is great for fantasy. It's great for fantasy. They didn't do it in the free agent market. They really didn't even do it in the draft. I mean, they went Jeremiah Love, then a guard, then Carson Beck. And so this is still going to be a team that is going, if you want to win a game, you're going to have to score 30.
17:43Mike Wright:They have a play caller that people believe in and trust in. You saw the difference in the offensive play of Jacksonville last year. Jacksonville was the bottom-dwelling team.
17:50Jason Moore:Yeah, I don't think this is a bad landing spot for Jeremiah Love. My issue and the reason why I say in redraft year one it'll be disappointing, I do think that the James Conner and Tyler Algier combo will be involved. They will get goal line. They will get receptions. That would be great for Conner. For Conner, he should be traded.
18:14Andy Holloway:For the team, and Andy, just to point it out even further, 2024, the Arizona Cardinals had 42 total touchdowns. Last year, they only had 40. This was a team that was getting destroyed, so they couldn't run, so they were thrown. No, they couldn't run at all. They were four-string running backs. I mean, they were very successful in giving us fantasy points and getting yards and things like that, but as a truly effective offense, I don't think they were.
18:38Jason Moore:And there's a good chance at the end of the season we're going to see rookie Carson Beck third rounder running this offense, which will not be good for fantasy.
18:45Andy Holloway:So multiple things here. I hated that pick. As someone who you're like, yeah, I've said I don't want to be a fan of the Cardinals. I'm not really it was just like try to pull me back in i think this is just a this is a waste of a pick because the the highest odds are next year you're very high up in the draft you won't know does carson beck have it because when you by the time you put him in it will just be like towards the end of the year and you're playing against other teams where people are giving up so i i hated the pick i also hate that you like if you're in a super flex rookie draft you have to think about it because you're like hey what if what if we're all what if i'm wrong what if the nfl is wrong and not taking carson back higher and he's good there there's a hive of people who believe he is
19:31Mike Wright:and because the situation is now three or four in super flex quarterback rankings because yeah you're gonna have simpson you're gonna have mendoza is should he be two
19:41Jason Moore:i i mean we'll get to the rams but i i don't think so i would not take because ty simpson
19:46Andy Holloway:is an injury away or years away i think two years at at minimum and it's like carson beck
19:54Mike Wright:should at least try to play he's getting snaps this year unless something changed with the depth chart i think arizona will play jacoby and they'll play minshu before they play back but well their
20:04Jason Moore:draft to sum up the entirety of their draft in their offseason the cardinals are the highest odds for vegas to get the number one pick next year so they're not expected to do good things
20:15Mike Wright:It's amazing when you took your shot at Miami, who, by the way, they weren't a good team. You took your shot at them on Twitter, and everybody attacks you like you think the Cardinals will be better than them. We are not appealing to – there is zero pride left on that front. I think you were just sharing your opinion, especially through the fantasy lens.
20:37Jason Moore:Yeah, it was genuinely just for fantasy.
20:39Mike Wright:Of Miami. And so, look, Miami's the second highest odds for the number one pick. So there are a bunch of bad teams. We'll talk about them. San Francisco, 12-5. They go, well, they didn't have a first. So they spent their second-round pick on not Denzel Boston, who was sitting there, right? They could have. But DeZon Stribling.
21:01Jason Moore:And they would have taken him with their first-round pick. They said that, but they traded back into the second. Oh, we'll take him. We'll take him earlier than you could even believe. Which they still did. They still took him. They traded back. They traded for number one to do it. They drafted him higher than anyone would have believed. DeJount Stribling is a really fascinating guy for Dynasty Leagues. I'm watching him go in the third round of rookie drafts.
21:28Andy Holloway:He went third round of ours at the 302.
21:32Jason Moore:That's unacceptable.
21:34Andy Holloway:A second round running back.
21:35Jason Moore:I get that we dunked on the 49ers. They have a history of failing with their day two skill position picks. That's just an objective fact over the last several years. However, this is a player that they basically were ready to take in the first round. They did take him very high, super high draft capital, an offense that's good. And because the draft community and the big board community was not really up on stripling, like maybe we should have been, because we weren't earlier,
22:12Mike Wright:we aren't now and that's a mistake no i stand by that position you stand by that that he is not good enough to be when the when the 49ers have reached for players they don't work out on the field and so they reach for a player that nobody has a consensus belief in and they take them early and we're supposed to believe in them i'm not going to go to that place i don't see the depth chart showing me that let me tell you a story i mean they have pierce jalen
22:34Andy Holloway:polk sure second round i just don't believe the patriots who lasted about five seconds yeah i just
22:41Mike Wright:This is a team that wants to win a Super Bowl. I don't see this rookie in the second round that should have gone in the fourth round contributing more than a handful of catches on the year. They have Pearsall, Evans, Kirk. I have a different opinion than you on that one.
22:54Jason Moore:It's just simply one of the greatest signals for success. Yes, from other teams. Sure, from only other teams. Yes. Is draft capital. I mean, that is pretty much if you were to do all your rookie drafts with nothing but draft capital, you just take whoever was taking highest, you're going to do all right. It's kind of like auto-drafting with your ADP in your fantasy football league. That sucks. That's why you believed in Golden all last year. It's why I took him, and that's not going to work sometimes. But a lot of things don't work. I mean, you're just trying to make the bets that are 60 % odds.
23:35Jason Moore:And usually, higher draft picks, perform more. Yeah, do Caelan Black.
23:40Andy Holloway:I'm with you, Jason. If I'm in the third round of my rookie draft, I'll take Stribling there. But I'm more on Andy's side. There's guys drafted after him that I prefer to take the shot on. And Caelan Black, third-round running back from the San Francisco 49ers, were here yet again for I don't know how many years in a row and prepared to be fooled by it. I had the 2-12. I have Christian McCaffrey in our dynasty league. I took Kalen Black. I took him over Stribling because I'm going to take a chance that I have the 49ers insurance running back. I know that will not be correct. No, it'll be Jordan James this year, most likely.
24:21Andy Holloway:Or maybe it's Garendo again.
24:22Mike Wright:I mean, they go through for a year.
24:24Andy Holloway:I picked him up. He's 24 and a half years old. Prepared for it to be wrong. Kalen Black is so bizarre. He was not invited to the combine. Not invited to the combine. And yet, what do we got? Seven? Oh, 10? 10 teams he did a top 30 visit for. I want that agent. Yeah, I mean, doing good work. So I.
24:45Mike Wright:The San Francisco 49ers have drafted over the last five years Trey Sermon in the third round. Elijah Mitchell in the sixth. That one worked good. Tyrion Davis Price in the third. Isaac Gurindo in the fourth. Gurindo was four. In the fourth. And now Jordan James was the fifth round pick last year. Now Kalen Black in the third. Elijah Mitchell worked, but he wasn't above expectation at all. He was a six-round steal.
25:08Jason Moore:No, I mean, when you look at reaches, both of these offensive players this year were massive reaches over where they were expected to go in the draft. They could have gone probably rounds later.
25:23Andy Holloway:Kyle, who was one of the OGs? It was where we got all the reports. Kyle Shanahan is pounding the table. for somebody that they want to draft this running back and then they got drafted and we never
25:37Mike Wright:heard from him again i mean tyrian davis price was one of them for sure yeah there's been a lot i don't believe anything they'll be a good team but they're the one thing about san francisco is that they while they draft players in the wrong spots and miss on them they also have no it's ironic because you're saying look the statistics say your draft capital associates with success which it does broadly not nuanced necessarily but broadly it's 100 fact joe williams but they don't give a crap about where the player's been drafted they can draft trey sermon in the third and if elijah mitchell has two better practices that's their loyalty all that is legitimately
26:18Jason Moore:true with the san francisco 49ers that is a point that can't be argued against i mean look at look at brock purdy he was mr irrelevant the last pick in the draft they're like you're the better player you're you're up and so if these guys are better you they'll play that that's where it's ironic because i i have that same opinion but more on the caitlin black side because i don't i just don't think caitlin black's a good running back at all he he was productive i don't was he the
26:45Andy Holloway:best running back on his no he wasn't the more productive of the two but he was and he's athletic
26:51Mike Wright:joe williams man i remember joe williams yeah fourth round of shanny's first draft all right We're taking a break. We're talking Rams.
27:03Andy Holloway:No matter what triumphs are in store this season, legendary game days start with a Miller Lite. Miller Lite is a true American pilsner and the original light beer brewed since 1975. When I'm hooting and hollering, I build up a mighty thirst, and nothing satisfies that thirst like a Miller Lite on a Sunday.
27:47Andy Holloway:It goes down smooth. It's refreshing. It never lets me down. Make game day legendary. Go to MillerLight.com slash footballers to find delivery options near you, or you can pick up some Miller Lite pretty much anywhere they sell beer. Game time is Miller time. Celebrate responsibly. Miller Brewing Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 96 calories and 3.2 carbs per 12 ounces.
28:11Mike Wright:What's up, Foot Clan? You are confident and disciplined and focused on details, just like everyone here at the Fancy Footballers, right? Those are words you use to describe us. In other words, you were made to drive the 2026 Sierra 1500 Denali, a full-size pickup combining capability with elevated design and advanced technology. You can seek out the exceptional with the Denali, their standard 5.3 liter V8 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. It's got a bold design. We like bold designs. They got the signature Denali grille, Papa Josh, you know, the signature grille, the chrome header patterned aluminum trim inside you've got all that comfort uh you know jason's a comfort guy we like the comfort comfort reins with leather seating surfaces and 12-way power front seats with power lumbar you can learn more right now at gmc.com slash sierra 1500
29:11Mike Wright:this is this is the division of confusion in the dress so like I said the Cardinals were done a favor by San Francisco in my opinion spending picks that it was if you like these guys just take them later yeah and then the Rams blew everybody's mind including I think their head coach who you know you can read it however you want I watched press conferences from previous years I watched this one either he was constipated or he didn't like the pick. Ty Simpson goes 13 overall to a team that was a eyelash from the Super Bowl. Shocking to me when like, Makai Lemon's there to be taken. When you talk about, they might trade or get rid of Devontae Adams this offseason.
29:53Mike Wright:I couldn't believe, like we all, we all picked Makai Lemon to the Rams. None of us picked Ty Simpson at 13 to the Rams. He hadn't even spoken to Sean McVay before.
30:03Jason Moore:So that is actually not true. There was a report of a secret meeting. So here's what happened. Top! Secret. Yeah. The way that this has gone down has been a roller coaster. What happened was the first press conference, you had Sean McVay just looking like his dog died. Very unhappy, short answered, not like you've ever seen him before. The next day he comes out to the press conference, jokes around, brings it up right off the bat about why he was upset, what was happening. And he basically said that the truth is that was out of respect for Matthew Stafford he did not want to go out there and and sit down and look overjoyed about the future this is Stafford's team he wants to project it that way and then it came out you know they were talking about oh they had never even met Sean McVay just really they don't ever meet with who they they draft pick um then Ty Simpson had an interview where he's talking about he was told from the Rams a lot about this they he was given a script of how to behave and what to say and what to not say.
31:10Jason Moore:Oh, I didn't read that part. And then he had to keep everything under wraps about any of their meetings. They had the secret meetings with McVay. So this was, at first, I thought this was a very GM over head coach situation. I don't believe that to be the case anymore. I think they were in sync, and they're looking at the future of this franchise. they don't usually have a pick I mean they don't usually have a pick in the first round anyways but let alone at the 13 spot they're usually and project to have a very low first round pick so if you have any chance to help your franchise in the future that is I mean you're on the edge I can understand the argument of taking that and then you go well what about the prospect is Ty Simpson good well let me tell you this is a fact if Ty Simpson went to the Arizona Cardinals he would not develop correct he would not become a good NFL quarterback if Ty Simpson gets to sit for two years behind Matthew Stafford and get trained by Sean McVay I'll bet I'll bet he ends up being a pretty good quarterback that's my opinion I don't think there's anything wrong
32:20Mike Wright:with any of that I think that's all true I think it's a shocking pick when your team is it was on the on the edge of success I also think it's a little bit funny when it's like oh you never get to pick at 13 so now that we're at 13 we're going to take a guy that wouldn't have gone until the end of the round we're going to take him at 13 because we have that pick that part shocked me too i don't think you know maybe arizona was very vocal about trading up to 25 and you had to do it yeah um but there's every chance for him to succeed we don't know when that will be it might be a couple years away um it doesn't do any good to debate how you know predicated it is he's a ram That's what he is now.
32:56Mike Wright:I took him in the second round of our dynasty draft because I am building for 2028. And I'm like, I'm going to take a shot at a quarterback that could be the starter on the Rams with McVay in two years.
33:06Andy Holloway:I don't blame, especially the build of your team going with him a little bit earlier than I think he'll go in most single quarterback drafts. I really like the pick and is the Aaron Rodgers stuff we just read at the top of this show where the team is being held ransom by an old busted quarterback. They know the time of Stafford is coming to an end sooner than later. Be prepared for it. To me, this is nothing like Kirk Cousins getting the bag of money and then them drafting Michael Penix. This is more like the Jordan Love move where, yeah, that did piss off Aaron Rodgers, but look where the Green Bay Packers are now because of that.
33:49Jason Moore:Okay, but here's the counter argument to that, and I think where Andy's saying this is a bad draft. This is a very similar situation to what happened with Jordan Love, Aaron Rodgers. You literally have the MVP this year in Matthew Stafford. You're close to a championship, right? Yeah. If you rewind the tape to 2020, we can say, well, Jordan Love was a good pick. That would help their franchise. They're good. Maybe they win the Super Bowl. In 2020, they were in the championship game, and they were a hair away from winning that. And they passed on Tee Higgins in that draft to get Jordan Love. You're telling me that maybe you don't win that if you ended up with Tee Higgins like Makai Lemon?
34:28Mike Wright:And you still have to, like, I know McVay, he's not necessarily going to be a miracle worker for everybody at quarterback. Like, what's the ceiling for Ty Simpson in reality? Is this pick going to look more like the Michael Pinnock's pick? Or is it going to look, or can he pick it? Or somebody in the first round that just didn't develop? Or is it going to be the future of your franchise? that's where I think people debated whether Simpson was worthwhile. If everybody believed in Simpson, he would have gone in the top five. Right. So that's where it's going to be interesting from a fantasy perspective.
34:59Andy Holloway:I bet they all believe in Ty Simpson now. All those teams that like the Cardinals are like, wait, McVay, you like him that much? Oh, crap.
35:07Mike Wright:Fantasy losers of this draft is the insanely deep and now probably useless tight end room that has Colby Parkinson who scored five times last year, Tyler Higbee who came back from injury, Terrence Ferguson, who they drafted and believe in. Davis Allen has flashed. Now they draft Max Clare in the second round. They live for tight ends.
35:28Jason Moore:And he's a good tight end. Max Clare is a good tight end. Betts is very excited for him, or was at least, very excited for him. What a terrible landing spot. Good for the Rams, a good pick, a good player. But I don't know how they're going to use all five of these tight ends.
35:41Andy Holloway:Well, there's Tyler Higbee retirement rumors floating around. So maybe not this year. And then what's the contract situation for Colby Parkinson?
35:55Jason Moore:Parkinson just got a big contract. Did he? I mean, I guess it was two years ago.
35:59Andy Holloway:I felt like he was on the – Kyle, is he on the last year? I think maybe they're – yeah, so Colby and Allen are free agents in 2027. For this year – This is their new way of doing the offense, so they want to make sure that they're stocked.
36:13Jason Moore:For this year, I think that you just have to avoid all tight ends there.
36:17Andy Holloway:Yes.
36:18Mike Wright:They didn't do anything at wide receiver. So if you want to talk about fantasy winners, there you go. Devontae Adams is still on this roster.
36:29Andy Holloway:And he'll catch a bunch of touchdowns.
36:32Mike Wright:Seattle. They did it. They spent their first-round pick on Jadarian Price. Wild. As expected.
36:39Andy Holloway:Jardians in the first day. Yes. He was a very popular pick to their Andy. You, you believe that they would do it. I say wild of a first round pick on a running back with that level of production is that,
36:56Mike Wright:that level of production has not, I mean,
36:58Andy Holloway:that's, that's crazy.
36:59Mike Wright:The one thing I'll say is that unanimously from pretty much the jump until the day of the draft, it was pretty unanimous that price was the number two prospect in this entire yeah in the mock draft world yes well not just in our world but in the nfl world like there wasn't a move for emmett johnson or jonah coleman to pass him it was pretty unanimous from people's perspectives that price
37:19Jason Moore:was the second best talent um i think that's what pushed him not not that he was the second best but the gap between him and everyone else is what pushed him up into the first whereas like if we don't get him we don't see a player that can come in and be in a really important role for our team yeah this is the draft of jonah coleman uh yeah you and me you and me agree uh however for fantasy purposes this is an incredibly important pick this the seahawks charbonnet is not going to be ready week one charbonnet will most likely be starting on the pop it might be the end of the year before he's i projected him for eight games played yeah so you're talking about a team that wants to run the ball that's successful literally super bowl champions coming in and so that's what you got to do it's a great is great he is going to get the rock a lot and he doesn't even have to succeed in order to get the rock more and more and more we saw that with charbonnet they just they will do they'll say we are committed to handing this ball off yeah i mean charbonnet is
38:22Mike Wright:a fantasy loser from the draft with price being drafted there emmanuel wilson the free agent acquisition a loser in the draft you know jadarian price is a winner you know the fantasy community that needs a relevant rookie to step up to the plate if you draft him you're going to get
38:38Jason Moore:snaps and that's pretty much what you can say about that big winner here eli lily jardians
38:43Mike Wright:in the first i i think the comp to josh jacobs is perfect for what we saw limited josh jacobs i I mean, he was the last one that has had under 700 receiving or rushing yards in a final season and then get drafted that high. I think that comp's perfect. I think Price is a great running back. I think he'll succeed there, especially because of how, you know, he's going into such a perfect situation. It's kind of the opposite of what Jeremiah Love has to do, where I feel like Love has to carry a lot of the responsibility for that offense now in Arizona. And I think Price just gets to go do his thing.
39:16Mike Wright:He's got other players that can come in. They won't have Charbonnet right away, but George Solani will be getting snaps. At least Jacobs had a receiving profile, though. Oh, I know. There's no receiving profile here at all. I think, what, five catches or something.
39:27Andy Holloway:But Price, I mean, jumped, and I think he's pretty locked in at the 105 in your rookie drafts. Yeah, for sure. Like, because Concepcion went to the Browns, and you would have to project it's going to take a little bit of time, even if KC does pan out to be a good player. I'd take him 105.
39:47Mike Wright:The New York Giants did not end up spending the early picks that I had thought they would spend on offense with a Jordan Tyson or a Jeremiah Love, who never fell to them. Instead, they went defense and offensive tackle, cornerback in the second, and their one offensive splash was Malachi Fields in the third round, who is a monster of a man.
40:07Andy Holloway:I hate this. You hate the pick? I hate it because this was the spot that I was using all of my willpower to get one of the bigger wide receivers, as in the higher-end guys. And it's like Malachi Fields is big. No, I'm not physically. I mean, it's not that he's a bad player. It's just things didn't go nearly as well as he had hoped this year. He had kind of, you know, his draft stock fell. and but I will be interested in a Giants wide receiver Malachi Fields finds a great landing
40:42Jason Moore:spot here being with Jackson Dart and really it's Malik neighbors and a bunch of Jags I mean they they don't like Darius Slayton at all they still have him there as a pass and so they did add Darnell Mooney in the offseason don't forget that as well yeah Fields is a prospect that I was ready to be out on. See, that's what I mean. Before the draft, I was ready to be out on him. I am fine taking a shot now with this landing spot.
41:06Mike Wright:Cam Scadaboo, big winner of the draft. Oh, yes.
41:10Jason Moore:Oh, the people! The people are thrilled!
41:14Mike Wright:The people love it. It's a big deal. And I'm going to go out and just say Malik Neighbors is a winner of the draft because what I didn't... My biggest fear this offseason with Neighbors was the combination of a high-profile, exciting wide receiver landing and him missing a few games. And again, his time with Jackson Dart is nonexistent, which means that if he misses a few games and Jordan Tyson becomes the dude for Jackson Dart, it's great for Dart. It's not great for neighbors' managers. And that would have worried me a little bit. Neighbors, if anything, you look at the offseason and you say, well, you subtract Wondell Robinson's billion targets and you replace it with Mooney and Malachi Fields, it seems like the targets will be just fine for Malik Neighbors.
41:56Andy Holloway:But, man, just imagine that we almost had the world, guys, the Giants. Malik Nabors and Jordan Tyson.
42:02Jason Moore:I think you're saying this from the perspective of Jackson Dart. But I actually think that – Oh, it would have been nasty. I think that the offensive tackle is as big a help for Dart. Dart is a winner here because they did add a wide receiver on day two and got an offensive tackle. I like what they did. The Commanders.
42:26Mike Wright:Maui Noah. You're talking about the tackle? Yeah. For what it's worth, broadly, I like what the Giants did in the draft. I think it was a good draft. Washington, they spent a third-round pick on Antonio Williams. Again, Washington was rumored to be in the running back game, which they did. They got probably a steal on Catron Allen in the sixth round.
42:45Andy Holloway:You mean like Catron Allen's going to steal their money?
42:48Mike Wright:How do you mean?
42:50Andy Holloway:Because he's not that good.
42:52Mike Wright:Oh, you don't like him? No. Oh, I got you. Yeah, that was a shot at him. Yeah. yeah take that that was an insult right um two where did nick singleton go paid drafted running where did singleton go fifth round uh yeah did he go he went ahead of katron allen um antonio williams wide receiver in the third round again washington was one of those teams we thought maybe we'd use number seven overall to go after they could have taken jordan tyson right um it tells me a little bit about their plans maybe with brandon iuke that they did not prioritize is another big name because if you put sure if you put brandon iuke with terry mclaurin with chigga conqua with antonio williams with ben senate i hear you loud and clear brother yeah yeah you got it so antonio williams i mean i am the senate did you he worked ben senate into that
43:39Jason Moore:he did this draft i mean we are talking about the commanders third year breakout uh trailing burks too man your guy jay oh yeah dude i mean aj brown who i think this is a great landing spot for Antonio Williams. He's shot up my dynasty rankings. The GM has come out and talked so much about why they like Antonio Williams, targeting Antonio Williams. The opportunity that he finds himself in is great. I mean, if Brandon Ayuk shows up, that will nerf it a little bit. But as of now, he has a real opportunity to be the wide receiver two for a good offense. That's hard to find yourself in that situation you expect jayden daniels to be good terry mclaurin's the one and they really need someone else to step up so antonio williams uh right now i mean he he is my number 12 ranked uh rookie so he's a he is the back of the first round for me katron allen will
44:34Mike Wright:have an opportunity whether you like him or not this backfield did not add other pieces please
44:39Andy Holloway:refer to Catron by his chosen name? Fat Man? Oh, that's right. That's right.
44:48Jason Moore:You don't know about this one, Andy? This one's real. That's not a joke. That's not a joke. That was no, no, no, no. It's not a joke. It's not our nickname. Oh, I will call him that. Yeah. If he would like Fat Man. We honor and respect these players.
45:04Mike Wright:Yeah, Travis A. Chan Jr. Rumbelaya. Rumbelaya. Fat Man. And Fat Man. Oh, I like him more. What a gift, Catron. His mama calls him Fat Man. It does make me like him more. Yeah, Fat Man Allen. Mama calls him Fat Man. So we have Bill Krosky and Fat Man in that backfield? And Crod. No, he's gone. Welcome to 2026.
45:28Jason Moore:I forgot. I just was excited on the names.
45:32Mike Wright:I know. You just got to be faithful. there you go is a winner by the way
45:38Andy Holloway:yes because you did not
45:40Mike Wright:end up with the Jeremiah Love situation I thought maybe JCM's window was completely shut and it seems like they're willing to have him in a committee with Rashad White
45:49Jason Moore:I can't wait for Rashad White to be the clear leading back again and be good for fantasy while everyone hates tonight there's one major problem there he's not good at running
46:00Andy Holloway:so people are aware Antonio Williams did run 93 % of his routes from the slot last year. So you might have a Jaden Reed problem with his production.
46:13Mike Wright:Yeah, I mean, Trelon Burks, I think they gave him money, right? And he's going to come back. Jalen Lane's still on the roster. Van Jefferson, I think, is still on the roster. Can't cut that guy. Can't cut that guy. They did say goodbye to Debo, though, right? So Debo's gone. Debo, and nobody even knows if he's anywhere.
46:30Jason Moore:I haven't heard a pee pee as technically a free agent I heard it too It sounded like I haven't heard a pee pee Pee pee? What are you the roadrunner?
46:42Mike Wright:Yeah that's it Dallas Where did you hear pee pee?
46:46Jason Moore:They heard pee pee Oh you had a bunch of children Can't find Devo's pee pee What? No that's not what anyone said Thank you Look at that wall Look at that magic Mike Wall.
47:03Jason Moore:Nobody came close to saying that. Oh, one of us did. One of us said it. You did. So, there you go. Take a lap. Take a lap, Jason. The Dallas Cowboys.
47:18Mike Wright:The Dallas Cowboys, they did.
47:21Jason Moore:Put them on the wall, and we're done. Yeah, I mean, they went defense in this draft. The news. Which is bad news for fantasy.
47:27Mike Wright:If you want to see who's a fantasy loser, we are.
47:30Jason Moore:Yeah, because Caleb Downs is awesome. Oh, I love him. And he's going to make a big difference on this defense. The only offensive stuff in this draft was really the news as to whether or not C.D. Lamb, or I'm sorry, George Pickens was going to sign his franchise. He did sign, he didn't. We talked about it last episode. He could end up holding out into the season.
47:55Mike Wright:More optimism when you didn't. like mckay lemon went in the first round to philadelphia that made you say well there's a plan there there wasn't a plan in these draft picks to replace george pickens i'll tell you that
48:06Jason Moore:that is absolutely true and mckay lemon could never have gone there to the eagles their division mate if the cowboys had not moved down given them that pick speaking of the eagles to be you know
48:18Andy Holloway:multiple years ago you had yeah davante adams no cd lamb they drafted cd lamb when they didn't When they were on the clock, this was still Cooper, was still the good version of Amari Cooper. We didn't think they would take Citi Lemon. They just said, this is the best guy on our board. So I would believe that if they thought that highly of Makai Lemon, they would have just taken him.
48:47Mike Wright:Yeah, they could have made the statement to George right there, and they didn't. Philadelphia did take Makai Lemon with the 20th overall pick, stealing him from the clutches of the Pittsburgh Steelers. And good for you, Makai. You don't have to go Will Howard, Drew Aller, Aaron Rodgers' thing. The first two picks, offensive weapons, Makai Lemon and Eli Stowers, both values, both could make instant impacts, although I would imagine those of you drafting Stowers in Dynasty Leagues will have to wait a year to get major production. Dallas Goddard was brought back and was very productive in this offense.
49:23Mike Wright:I'd be shocked if they would just hand the reins to Stowers. But here we go. We got some actual weapons for a team that may lose A.J. Brown soon.
49:33Jason Moore:I mean, that's what the signal here was they are losing A.J. Brown. Like, that's what it says. They trade up to get a wide receiver in the first round after all of the – I don't even know if it's a rumor. So it's just reported that on June 1st there's a trade that's going to happen with the Patriots, TBD. But when you then go and grab Mikhaileman and Eli Stowers, it's like, oh, yeah. We see you are working on your offense post-A.J. Brown.
50:04Mike Wright:It's strange because, I mean, maybe this will be a minority opinion. I don't think you're a better offense with Mikhaileman and Eli Stowers than you are with A.J. Brown this year. So I think that that'll be an interesting way when we're projecting Philadelphia for the fantasy output of Jalen Hurts in this offense, which struggled tremendously last year, was not a high pass volume offense. I think there will be a little bit of a transition period. Mekhi Lemon is certainly not built the same way that A.J. Brown is or to serve the same role. Stowers is a monster. We all love him. Dontavian Wicks had a two-week window of being kind of maybe important.
50:39Mike Wright:That is gone in Philadelphia. and Jalen Hurts benefits from at least adding more weapons because if you just took A.J. Brown away, we'd be very scared about this.
50:48Jason Moore:Yeah, this is very good for Jalen Hurts and for Dynasty version of Jalen Hurts as well because Makai Lemon, Eli Stowers, rookies, they will get better and I think that those two are great players. So smart franchises, draft great players.
51:02Mike Wright:All right, we're going to take another break and jump into the NFC North.
51:09Mike Wright:What's up, Foot Clan? And listen, I have been in the tech space for more than 20 years. I have registered literally probably hundreds to maybe over a thousand domains in my life, including a ton of domains for like fantasy leagues and specialty things like our League of Record. And it always feels good to make it official. Wix domains, they make it ridiculously easy to purchase a domain today. And my favorite part is that you can grab a custom domain in minutes and not endure a 12-step funnel or all of the random add-ons making it hard to understand what you're even buying and what you actually wanted.
51:44Mike Wright:And because it's Wix, once you've got the domain, the website is one prompt away. We have leaks for our League of Record, things all over the office. You hear us registering domains for giveaways and things like that. It's super fast on Wix domains, domain, website, business email, everything you need to run your league or business in one place, no extra platforms, no confusing setup, no separate logins. 53:16Mike Wright:lions that's one of them start there they didn't really do anything uh impactful you could say isaiah pacheco was a fantasy winner they didn't you know mike had picked janarian price to detroit as a surprise they spent a fifth round pick on a wide receiver i think that means they feel really comfortable with Amon Ra, Jamison Williams, and Isaac Tesla. Agreed. And we're moving on.
53:39Jason Moore:Yeah, they did get a tackle with their first pick, which is... Whoa, that one scared me. Yeah, because you're not the one pushing the button for more. It was also like 15
53:50Mike Wright:seconds after I said Tesla. I was giving you time to do the right thing.
53:56Andy Holloway:I got scared too, Mike. I got places on me that are tight that shouldn't be tight.
54:02Jason Moore:speaking of Debo um yeah anyways their offensive line has gotten worse from the incredible offensive line of the last you know of couple years ago but first round pick on a
54:14Mike Wright:tackle is good Minnesota Minnesota did not end up drafting a running back where we thought they might in fact they had back-to-back picks where we were almost certain that Jonah Coleman would
54:22Jason Moore:be a Minnesota Viking they brought out five top 30 visits for running backs and and usually nope nope nope nope more nope no what oh no i sing nope to each one oh i i thought i was saying
54:37Mike Wright:something yeah i do nope nope nope nope nope yeah i got it right yeah there you go but um usually
54:42Jason Moore:that's like an 80 clip to take a running back well before they did they wait until the sixth
54:48Mike Wright:round um and they got yeah claiborne there um so yeah aaron jones jordan mason fantasy winners moving on green bay moving on now green bay i mean it was cornerback defensive tackle defensive in center cornerback you know again pretty good endorsement of matthew golden and christian watson on this offense you didn't spend anything on any more wide receivers yet you lost wicks
55:17Jason Moore:and dobbs yeah i mean it's great news for the existing wide receiver core and an opportunity for Matthew Golden to prove that he is who they wanted him to be.
55:27Mike Wright:And for Christian Watson to finally be a one in this offense. And for Marshawn Lloyd to step up and be a relevant committee back. No more Emmanuel Wilson. And they didn't draft a running back. So Green Bay, Josh Jacobs, and who you have on the roster, you are the winners there. The Chicago Bears. Dot, dot, dot. Yeah, not a ton. I mean, there were, you know, DeAndre Swift and Mononga are the guys at running back. They did not get a running back drafted.
55:57Jason Moore:That was the story. I mean, this wasn't a deep running back draft class anyway, so you kind of felt like they were safer. But early in the offseason, it felt like Swift was going to get cut and wasn't even going to be a part of this team. And now I'm like, Swift is going to be exactly what he has always been, a solid RB2 for fantasy for sure.
56:15Mike Wright:Well, we can talk about this one. the new Orleans saints six and 11 last year with the eighth overall pick. Jason called this one on his predictions. Jordan Tyson of the Arizona state Sun Devils heads to new Orleans to join crystal lava to join Tyler Shuck. What do we think about? I mean, Tyson was my number one wide receiver in this draft class. He remains my number one. Yep. Same. Um, what's funny is I don't know if he remains my number one anymore. You like tape. I like tape more at this point. My rookie rankings have Tate higher, but Tyson is a great landing spot. Great upside provided for Tyler Shuck.
56:55Mike Wright:But, you know, Chris Olave is still the dude there. My rankings clearly are going to show that.
57:00Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, this is wonderful. They desperately needed another pass-catching option. Their second-best catcher of the ball is probably Jawan Johnson before this draft, and that can't be good for your franchise. So good for Tyler Shuck. I think Tyler Shuck. Also in the third round, Oscar Delp. La Jolla. Oscar Delp La Jolla. Thank you. Yes. Yes. We both heard that during the draft when they drafted with the third pick, Oscar Delp and both Mike and I. Oscar Delp La Jolla. Not even in the same building. You both did. We both were like, Oscar Delp La Jolla.
57:36Mike Wright:He is not a player that is going to threaten in the pass catching game.
57:43Jason Moore:Right now. But I'm just saying for Tyler Shuck, for this offense, and they added, obviously, A. Chan Jr. to this team. I'm excited. Bryce Lance in the fourth round. I'm excited for the Kellen Moore, Tyler Shuck-led Saints offense for fantasy.
58:00Andy Holloway:I'm super, super excited. Olave and Jordan Tyson is – it's not Malik Nabors, Jordan Tyson, but it's still pretty nasty, and that'll be real fun. And then Bryce Lance, a.k.a. Trey Lance's brother, who plays wide receiver. And so it's a wide receiver who has all of the athletic ability that Trey Lance had, except we don't have to worry about him being a bad quarterback.
58:24Mike Wright:You don't have to throw it?
58:25Andy Holloway:Yeah, he doesn't have to throw it. He has to catch it. So him in the fourth to bring an extra boost, you know, just athletically. I mean, it's a pretty high pick. And field-stretching ability, I'm real, real excited for the Saints.
58:39Mike Wright:All right, let's move on to Atlanta. Their one big offensive pick was a third-round selection of Zachariah Branch. Dude's very fast. They do have a very weak depth chart, so when you look at opportunities to break into the rotation, you don't have to go very far. Johan Dodson and Zaccheaus. Zaccheaus is kind of pigeonholed into a specific role.
59:08Andy Holloway:so branch could be as well we'll see how they use him you know a round three pick that's just fine for draft capital at georgia last year 51 of his routes were screens which so he's catching the ball at the line of scrimmage half of the time which for for fantasy football purposes that is generally a a big red flag as in this person will never turn into a mega producer not that he can't help the team or maybe he evolves into a wide receiver too at some point but he's going to be a high risk pick despite being a third round guy he's going to be a high risk but he he is also a
59:46Jason Moore:high reward we talked about this on the dynasty show this week his ability like i think he is not going to work out these screen warriors in college don't translate to the nfl i i am guessing he will not be a good fantasy player but if he hits what his skill is is is you know it's it is the Tyreek Hill ish kind of stop start that no one else can do and so should he hit it is it's a scratcher ticket you know it's like you're you're probably gonna lose but if if you win you could win big that's what a scratcher ticket's about yeah which to be fair this year's draft like you can't win if you don't play this year's draft in the where he's going in the late second third round of rookie drafts yeah sure it's all sure it's all crap go for upside well then that's where i'm
1:00:37Mike Wright:letting quarterback situations determine my differentiator in a lot of rookie drafts where yeah it has two of them you just talked about antonio williams well you got jayden right like at least there's that and in here i get like the double whammy of you got to hit and then you got to hit with crap a quarterback maybe maybe but probably yes you have crap uh tampa bay eight and nine fantasy winners for tampa bay we didn't find another running back in this draft that uh is a benefit for bucky irving um we didn't really have a whole lot else going on other than the third round selection of ted hurst this is one of the deepest even with the departure of mike evans it's still one of the deepest wide receiver rooms in the league with abuka and godwin and mcmillan and tez johnson kate otten soaking up targets i know you guys like ted hurst i i don't know if you need an injury to have a rookie season.
1:01:30Andy Holloway:I think it's bad news for... Oh, no, I can't think of it. Tez Johnson. Yeah. I think Tez will be the odd man out.
1:01:38Jason Moore:I agree he would be the odd man out.
1:01:40Mike Wright:I thought Tez played great last year.
1:01:41Jason Moore:He was. He was very good. This is, like you said, this is a very deep wide receiver core, but it is not full of firmly established... You've got Godwin and you've got Ibuka. Those two guys aren't going anywhere based on draft capital and contract. and then they've got a lot of other talent but it's not anyone that is so established that someone can't come in over the top and be the three ted hurst well be the three this year but godwin you know at this age with the departure of mike evans ted hurst is i mean he's obviously not a mike evans but he's a taller field stretching guy that can do you know is he six four or something some of the same stylistic you know routes and you know losing mike evans matters for this team and they went out and they said hey day two we're gonna we're gonna target ted hurst they were hursty that oh i like it i'm gonna take a drink on that one shouldn't i'm i'm hursty
1:02:34Mike Wright:oh man refreshing um sometimes you sometimes you say it and then the reaction you're like man i really wish i wouldn't know um there you go yeah i like ted hurst and i like the landing spot you've painted the picture pretty well on an opportunity to break through. It's not like, you know, Tess had 22 catches. Jamie Millen was hurt and came back and caught 12 passes. So it's not like those two guys were dominators. I think they're both good, but there is room for the size of a player like Ted Hurst to establish some dominance. Carolina, offensive tackle, defensive tackle, third round pick of Chris Brazell the second.
1:03:13Mike Wright:Brazel. Brazel. Brazel. Brazel.
1:03:16Jason Moore:Brazel. That's from Chicago.
1:03:20Mike Wright:These last two shows have been royal special. Jeremy, you got me right. He's like, yeah, you're right. He's like, you got it. Nerds. Chris Brazel the second. Third round pick. I did think Carolina would go after.
1:03:37Jason Moore:I know. That's all it is. I like his film. I like his production. I like his measurables. And then he's from Tennessee. I'm out. What was that? That was the Adonai Mitchell and Xavier Worthy?
1:03:49Andy Holloway:Jalen. No, they were Texas. Hyatt. Oh, they were both Texas. No, no. You're thinking of Jalen Hyatt. Yeah.
1:03:55Jason Moore:What's wrong with that guy? For some reason, Tennessee.
1:03:59Andy Holloway:And Thornton from last year, they just.
1:04:01Jason Moore:Tennessee is able to produce a lot of statistics that somehow are manufactured well in college doesn't translate uh brazil is a good player he is and he's the he's the son of a of a former nfl player which you know so you know he's grown up knowing ball day two draft capital goes to the carolina panthers who really need another weapon outside of tetaroa yeah they have jalen coker who
1:04:28Mike Wright:will be healthy this year and has been productive they have xavier league at your favorite player in football he's still there but there's an opportunity there for sure chuba hubbard like Like we said, they didn't go after a running back. It's good for Jonathan Brooks and Chuba Hubbard. Trevor Etienne is still there. AJ Dillon is still there. So that's going to be your backfield. Any other thoughts on Carolina? I think it about does it. Okay. We got through it. We did it. NFC winners and losers in the books. What do we have coming up next week? Don't we have some overreaction episodes coming up?
1:05:03Jason Moore:We do. We've got some things. Players to forgive. That's what I was going to say.
1:05:08Mike Wright:You got some producers to forgive. Why do you think Papa Josh isn't here today? We're not ready.
1:05:13Jason Moore:Yeah, I have not. We're not ready to forgive him.
1:05:16Mike Wright:He's certainly not on vacation with his family. Something he did. We went golfing today. We did. You got back on the course. People, I don't know why I didn't open with that. You found the other half of your putter on hole nine.
1:05:28Jason Moore:Yes.
1:05:28Mike Wright:Like you pulled, he pulled it out of his bag.
1:05:30Jason Moore:I was trying to put a club in my bag and I was like, what is blocking this? and then I reached in and the other half of my putter was in there. The long half, as we call it. Yeah, the shaft.
1:05:38Mike Wright:The shaft of the putter. And then you left it like on the ground by some bird feathers, so it looked like you had killed him. When we rolled up. Did you see that? We left it for you guys.
1:05:46Jason Moore:Yeah, we rolled up and we were like, someone murdered a bird. Yes, exactly. That's what I did. We wanted you to believe that. We wanted you to see that I murdered a bird.
1:05:55Mike Wright:You had a good time?
1:05:57Jason Moore:I had a better time. Adjusted expectations? Not statistically. I had a better time emotionally. I had fun golfing with you. Yeah, it's good. It's good.
1:06:06Mike Wright:You know, we've had quite a few people reach out since we've started. I will say this. You know, because we're golfers now. Yeah, we're totally golfers. Which, by the way, Mike came out today for the first time in, how long has it been since you golfed? Pre-pandemic. Pre-pandemic. He played great. Better than all of us. Or so I've been told. I was not in his foursome, but they're all bragging on him.
1:06:24Jason Moore:Unfortunately, I was. And he played great. And how did you play, Al? You did all right. I did not play well. This is what's unfortunate. We had a bet last week about me versus you, and we both played pretty poorly. And I played the same this week as I did last week, but you played just much worse. Terrible. I would have smoked you. Apparently, I'm really motivated by$100 bills. Hold on.
1:06:50Mike Wright:Your whole story right there was you played equally bad. Exactly, Andy. But you would have smoked him if he had just played worse than you.
1:06:58Jason Moore:Yes, like he did this week. Is that too much to ask? I don't know.
1:07:02Mike Wright:I don't know what it is. I don't know what we do on the golf course, but it's getting hotter in Arizona, so who knows if we'll keep doing it.
