In short

The Fantasy Footballers (Aug 25) covers fantasy news, “performance climbers,” a trade discussion, a mailbag, and stack attack ideas. Topic highlights: Keenan Allen’s ADP rise after signing with the Colts; they argue he’ll be a Week 1 target hog, hurting Josh Downs’ early upside. They also discuss Jacoby/“Jacoby Lane” hype for the Ravens, especially if Rashad Bateman faces suspension after a June arrest and NFL investigation. Mike Washington Jr. (Raiders RB) is debated: athletic profile didn’t match production, but they see him as a potential committee starter if Ashton Gentry/“Gentry” misses time.

Guest backgrounds

none—hosts only (Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, Mike Wright); Jonathan Taylor appears as an intro voice. Key claims/examples: Keenan Allen could be a top-24 PPR WR early; Bateman suspension could push Lane into more snaps; Booty (Texans trade target) is viewed as waiver-level, not a fantasy priority.

Notable examples

Megalobowl tournament on Sleeper; Colts/Patriots passing camp notes; “Booty” vs “Lane” drafting; stack suggestions like Josh Allen + DJ Moore.

1:56Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.

2:12Mike Wright:Oh, welcome in.

2:26Mike Wright:The Fantasy Footballers, Tuesday, August 25th. Welcome in to another wonderful show.

2:39We have a lot going on today.

2:43Mike Wright:We have a bunch of news to catch you up on. We have performance climbers on this show today. We're going to get into the mailbag, some of your voicemail questions. We're going to talk through a trade today and what we think about it, what it means to the Houston Texans acquiring another wide receiver. And yeah, a lot going on. We're going to talk a little stack attack, talk through some underrated stacks in fantasy football. And as you heard at the top, the Megalobull is open right now. So you can go sign up, play in a league with us and see if you can win amongst 20 ,000 plus Foot Clan players.

3:20Mike Wright:That's hosted on Sleeper and it is Megalobull.com. So that's going on. We just did our live stream yesterday, gave away a UDK for life. I put a little poll up on Twitter. Obviously, people are in a lot of different leagues, but it looked like about 75 % of people still had not drafted. That's great. That's smart. That's wise. Yeah, I mean, injuries, they suck. It's been worse this year?

3:47Jason Moore:No, it's actually been. Is it normal? It is normal, and I hate to say this out loud. So far.

3:54Andy Holloway:I got bad news for you, Jason. Jinxes aren't real? Yeah. What you say into the microphone right now will have no impact. Oh, really? Yeah, really.

4:03Jason Moore:This year, the injuries have been absurdly lower than in recent history, and I'm so happy about that that there will be so few injuries for this offseason. Let's see. You think you got a lot of power? I'm going to find out this weekend. I hope I don't.

4:21Andy Holloway:Settle down, Truman.

4:23Mike Wright:I am not joking in my Truman shows in my head. Yeah, so a lot's going on. Let's go ahead and jump right in.

4:36Jason Moore:Performance Climbers, presented by GMC.

4:41Mike Wright:All right. We're looking at players whose average draft position has arisen in recent, the last week or two. Keenan Allen. That one's kind of like, duh. I mean, Keenan Allen's ADP somewhere in the 14th round range. And what do we think? I hate him. You hate it?

5:05Jason Moore:I hate it so, so much. I realized as I've gone through. You hate Keenan Allen? I hate that Keenan Allen signed with the Colts. I love Keenan Allen. I really genuinely believe Keenan Allen's going to be their, like, number one wide receiver target right off the bat week one. and that's what I hate because I was pretty high on Josh Downs and the more that I've really looked at who this affects the most, it's clearly Josh Downs. Tyler Warren's going to get his. When Alec Pierce comes back, he's going to be on the outside. We know he's going to be on the outside. Keenan, while being a slot player through his career, he has been more of an outside guy the last couple of years with the Bears.

5:46Jason Moore:He went and played actually 60-40 outside to inside. He can do it and so my whole thing is like i wanted to see josh downs in two wide receiver sets and i don't think i'm going to yeah yeah they didn't want to they did they saw it yeah maybe he wasn't he wasn't good enough but there's also it's a tough thing to ask a player

6:07Mike Wright:to do that's been in the league for a long time that has that physical size to go and uh become you know, reliable at a position you're not used to.

6:17Jason Moore:I don't think it is solely an indictment on Josh Downs. They don't have depth. Alec Pierce is not back yet. They need another wide receiver, period. Yeah, they do. And the relationship here between Steichen and Jim Bob Cooter and Keenan Allen, like this was – Is there a chance it still Downs? I think there is a chance, but Keenan's going to get his. I mean, he's – after this year, if he gets 50 receptions – At least 50 receptions, book it. He moves behind Jerry Rice and Larry Fitzgerald as number three all time. That's crazy. So he'll get his – for fantasy, where do you draft him? What do you expect he's going to do?

6:53Jason Moore:I think if I'm in a full PPR league, Keenan Allen's going to be a definite top 24 wide receiver for the first month.

7:00Mike Wright:I don't know, man. I think you – I think that – maybe. Maybe that's the case. I don't look at Keenan Allen as a player I'm targeting in drafts personally. Me either. because I don't target older PPR wide receivers in the super late rounds. I target young rookie upside conception lemon, you know, those Tyson, Tyson will be earlier, but just anybody in that later round, Jacoby lane who we're going to talk about in a second. I just want a shot at seeing if I can find gold like Keenan Allen at, I mean, to your point, if he's good at the beginning, it will decrease with the return of alec pierce which we did just uh from steven holder colts

7:45Andy Holloway:wide receiver alec pierce is expected to return to practice this week if all goes to plan well

7:50Mike Wright:that's no it's funny because i saw something this morning that was an announcement that alec

7:53Andy Holloway:pierce won't practice today well both can be true yeah it could still be this week that's good though

7:59Mike Wright:that's great for i mean they paid that guy a lot of cheddar mike do you are you see keen on any of

8:05Andy Holloway:your teams uh certain builds i think there's there's definitely a point where especially like jay said when you're in ppr and you're just getting those those free points but you know we make the joke all the time of like he could be a boat it's like he can't be a boat now it might be a rowboat right at this point yeah but which is like it'll you aren't gonna sink yeah you're not plugging you're not drowning yeah but it's gonna be a workout keenan or dicks it's

8:35Mike Wright:gonna be a workout i go i would take stefan digs that's how i lean to with the opportunity with jayden daniels jacoby lane uh aforementioned jacoby lane rookie wide receiver for the baltimore ravens he has moved up about a round or two he was a third round pick six four two hundred i watched a lot of jacoby lane film over the last month and a half why is that he's on my dynasty team don't don't act don't act like your kyle williams excitement isn't fueled by your dynasty rostering of kyle williams sir i would never yeah i know how this works but yeah you pay a little extra close attention to players you do of course especially on a team like mine where i'm like do i have any players but uh it's to me it's just been really exciting to watch him work he his highlights his collegiate highlights are awesome Jacoby Lane you know so far been making plays he's one of the few guys like Pat Bryant that has made headlines in camp and you have a situation now with look Zay Flowers got paid Mark Andrews is older Rashad Bateman not only has never really materialized into anything of value for fantasy but now he's dealing with a domestic violence situation the summer yeah like yep and so Baltimore beat reporters what are you doing whether he's out this was out there well okay I think the most recent I mean I thought the news broke like a

10:04Andy Holloway:week ago yeah if it were out if it was out I look I I'm pretty much the lawnmower man here I live on the internet and I didn't see it so they were not really getting the word out yeah I mean the I literally had a claim in because it was like the day before that started going public, there was a report. It's like, hey, the Houston Texans are looking at trading for Kayshawn Booty or Rashad Bateman. Right. I had a waiver claim in in our Dynasty League for Rashad Bateman. And then you canceled it? And then it's like, oh, this is all of a sudden coming out. Yeah, the news that I'm reading here is that.

10:42Andy Holloway:Maybe it was out there and we all missed it.

10:44Mike Wright:It said, following reports on Friday of Ravens receiver Sean Bateman's June arrest, the NFL started launching an investigation three days ago. So the club has been in contact with the league regarding the matter, which is under review in the personal conduct policy. He could be suspended unpaid six games. That may need to have the legal process complete for the NFL to do that.

11:06Andy Holloway:Yeah, he won't start suspended, but I'm curious, does it force Force Jacoby Lane onto the field sooner rather than later. Because he's a third-rounder. We know historically the trends are guys who are going that late. They don't play very many snaps at the beginning of the year. It's towards the second half. But if you are bracing that Rashad Bateman isn't the future, he will have his own problems in the future. Maybe we get Jacoby on the field sooner.

11:39Mike Wright:Great quotes from the team. Team Jameson Hensley came out on August 8th and said, in 27 years covering the Ravens, I've never seen a rookie have a training camp like Jacoby Lane's. Every day, Lane produces a highlight-making catch and day. He has Derrick Henry leaping in the air in celebration. Declan Doyle, their offensive coordinator, what we thought about him, it just continues to show up. The guy I was around that has hands like his that he reminds me of is Michael Thomas.

12:03Jason Moore:He's definitely got amazing hands. Let me ask this one. Yeah, the hype train is going. We haven't really seen any wide receiver two with Lamar Jackson be very relevant. And obviously day three picks are.

12:20Andy Holloway:Well, we've seen a wide receiver and a tight end be relevant. So is it like two pass catchers?

12:28Jason Moore:Yeah, for sure. And this is a new offense as well. But with the data that we have of like day two and day three wide receivers starting slow, After this trade for Kayshaun Booty, a veteran who's going to almost certainly be the wide receiver two on the field, would you rather draft Booty or would you rather draft Jacoby Lane?

12:50Mike Wright:I saw some stuff this morning about Booty. The team might not even see him as a starter. I would take the shot on the younger Jacoby Lane establishing himself in a new offense with a new head coach and offensive coordinator and system that we don't really know what they're going to unveil, but we know that we trust Lamar Jackson more than we trust CJ Stroud to make something out of Booty. I mean, Xavier Hutchinson could very well be the starter from day one in Houston. Booty, he's a last year of his deal, right? So do they use him? I don't know.

13:23Andy Holloway:It's also a pretty late transition to get things into gear for Houston.

13:28Mike Wright:That's a good point, yeah. The last name in Performance Climbers, Mike Washington Jr. What a week it was for Mike Washington Jr. and all the hype there. I wish we had like real-time data. Of just like his draft spot. Yeah, here's what we'll start with with Mike Washington. This is a rookie running back for Las Vegas. Mike, you, I think, really liked what you saw on film from him.

Read the full transcript

13:51Andy Holloway:No, he was more of the opposite of his metrics and stuff didn't fully match what he should be doing. Like he's 6 '1", 220, and he is like he's the 1 % of the 1 % when it comes to athleticism. So you expected more out of him. At least I expected more out of him. And we, you know, in the process it was, oh boy, this guy just ran a 4-3-3. Like he's going to get real steamed up in the draft. And he didn't. So I think that that was the part that we, that I liked of, okay, he's going to a spot where he doesn't have to be the guy right away because I don't think he's ready to to be a like

14:34Jason Moore:a full-time pro starter it was funny when when yes when gente seemed like he went down um underdog put out like how low gente went in some drafts and how high Mike Washington went in some drafts and I believe Mike Washington was drafted at like 37 overall holy what yeah and it's it's um what i want to it's the combination of the exciting long speed play in the preseason with oh you you're the only guy starter somehow but but this is like this is a very bad situation a team that you don't expect to score a lot and you know a day three running back without production his profile isn't really good like aj dylan it reminds me of that a lot where it's like A.J.

15:20Jason Moore:Dillon had a combine like Derrick Henry. But he's not Derrick Henry, or he would have been in college. Mike Washington has a combine like the best of them. But his, you know, is. Well, let's do the exercise then.

15:33Mike Wright:Okay. Let's pretend Jinty did have a season-ending injury. Where does he actually belong in terms of starters? And I think you start to have that conversation. You have it right around the Bayshall-Tuton area. because if you knew Mike Washington was going to be a starter, you know, Tootin, Price, Warren, Stevenson, these are committee situations. I think Washington would be a committee as well. But I think what you're saying is right, but then it was compounded by the long runs and success in the preseason, the explosiveness, those physical gifts on display. I mean, I'm sure you're taking them over Chuba.

16:08Mike Wright:I'm sure you'd probably take them as a starter. Would you take them over Ramondre or Warren? I mean, probably.

16:13Jason Moore:I don't think so. I think I would rather have the better offense. Maybe Warren. Ramondre is on a good offense, and I think I would take Warren ahead as well.

16:26Mike Wright:Do you think Mike Washington deserves to be drafted? Yes. You do? Yeah, because he's in a high-level insurance situation.

16:36Jason Moore:Well, at the very least right now, I mean, week one, Gentry is rumored to not – we don't know that he's going to be back for week one. The last I saw is it's potential. He misses week one. So this is where –

16:48Andy Holloway:The last was like, we're hearing it's a low ankle sprain as compared to high. Which would be good. Which – but that's the thing is we're hearing. Why can't we get an official? Because they don't have to really report that stuff. Mike Washington deserves to be drafted. The preseason has been solid. There's a chance that Jenty misses time. and based off of what this is i'm i'm not saying genti won't be like the man for the raiders but it's like based off of what kubiak just did in seattle mike washington might be in the plans to be someone who's getting like 35 to 40 percent of the of uh some rushing attempts here if you build

17:30Jason Moore:zero rb the this is such that's exactly tyler algier and mike washington those like guys who one yeah exactly like they might be great starters if those are your and if it if it is a high ankle

17:41Andy Holloway:sprain like he'll be out multiple weeks and then he genti won't be ready to go on that first like

17:47Mike Wright:the first couple weeks that was performance climbers brought to you by gmc we are professional grade we're going to take a break real quick and then we're going to come back and do some news get into the mailbag

19:43Jason Moore:News and notes from around the league.

19:48Mike Wright:The Texans traded for former Patriots wide receiver Kayshawn Booty. They've been trying to get that booty out of town it what do you guys make of that them trading him no no just that

19:59Andy Holloway:that all of the news the offseason was like case on booties you know he wants to trade he and then it was sounded very much like oh well the team is they're quite open to trading him away i mean he was not like a dominant part of of their offense last year but i think he showed that he belongs on a football field he would have easily been there he was a great deep threat He would have been a starting wide receiver for them.

20:25Mike Wright:I feel like it was the final year of the contract situation that is hanging over it. They have a lot of other weapons. What's wild to me.

20:30Jason Moore:But why not ride it out? I think this was for booty. I think they are doing booty a solid. Because when they're going to ride it out. Not our fault. Kayshawn. When Kayshawn requested a trade, it was like, you signed Romeo Dobbs. He was upset, for sure. Yeah, you sign Romeo Dobbs and then you get a trade for A.J. Brown. You're like, oh, I don't have the opportunity to thrive. He doesn't want to be there. He wants a place where he can. And then with the injury for the Texans, it's like, okay, he's at least got the opportunity. Maybe Hutchinson starts the season as the second wide receiver. I think Booty's a better wide receiver.

21:10Jason Moore:And so in Booty's mind, he's got the – How many times can you say Booty in one minute? In Kayshawn Booty's mind, I think he's excited about the opportunity to thrive in a situation where he doesn't have to overtake two other people ahead of him.

21:26Mike Wright:Here's something that's not been said, and it'll open up opportunities for Kyle Williams and Demario Douglas and some other pass catchers. What's wild to me is that we're sitting here. This is the team that went to the Super Bowl in the Patriots. Schedule notwithstanding, amazing season, MVP candidate in Drake May. and two of his primary targets last year that were significant contributors to this team were Kayshawn Booty and Stefan Diggs that are gone right that the pass catchers are great names with Dobbs and AJ Brown but we actually haven't seen them together right so like it's just a little bit unique to me to have a top five offense passing wise reset all of your pass catchers and then expect it to just work perfectly from day one I I thought somebody shared a tweet and I I put it in the chat somewhere.

22:16Mike Wright:Maybe you guys can find it. It was basically something I would love to actually see for all the teams. And when people speculate about preseason numbers, I tell you I hate completion percentage. They should be trying new stuff. They should be failing in preseason. I hate it when they go through and they're like – You mean in camp? In camp, yeah. Yes. But the numbers of like – it was a list of the receptions by pass catchers for New England. Oh, yeah, a cop from Drake May. caught by from drake may in the entire training camp and it was like aj brown was number one dobbs was number two remandre was number three hunter henry was number four like booty was way up on that list he was he was not as high but yeah it was uh aj brown romeo dobbs remandre stevenson demario douglas hunter henry then k'shaun booty um don't worry travion's there just below Eli Raridon.

23:11Mike Wright:But I would love to see that from every team to get a little bit of an idea of where these guys are going regularly in camp. You want to ask me who the pass catchers to roster are? I mean, it's Brown and Dobbs. And Dobbs is not getting nearly enough talk on a team that was a top-tier passing percentage offense. We're sitting there, A.J. Brown. Dobbs is sitting right there.

23:34Andy Holloway:I agree. I think the news on Dobbs has just been kind of weird. There's been a couple days where it was like, oh, hey, it's Romeo Dobbs day. But kind of few and far between. And then A.J. Brown gets there and, you know, there was talk at the beginning of they're not fully connecting. But the stuff I've been reading lately is very, very positive for A.J. Brown. it's for Dobbs it's like how do they how do they actually put these wide receivers you know on the field is it the just standard okay we got Brown and Dobbs are going to be on the outside and then Douglas will just be the slot player or are they going to move Romeo Dobbs where he'll get to

24:17Jason Moore:do he'll play some big slot I think they've been I because that would be moving him around to be a a little bit of the big slot, which you see in the second target pecking order from camp, that role is very valuable historically from the Patriots. So I'm open to Dobbs. That's another name where it's Dobbs or Jacoby Lane. Dobbs or Jacoby Lane, I would rather have Dobbs.

24:44Mike Wright:On the Booty to Houston side, I have no interest in any way, shape, and form for Kayshawn Booty in Houston from a fantasy perspective. He was on one of the best passing offenses in football last year, played a ton of snaps for them, and still, you know, he had his splash games, but consistency-wise it was trouble. He's touchdown or bust pretty much. Yeah, to me it's just – that's a tough thing to ask of C.J. Stroud on a defense and a running game offense. I don't know. I just – I don't care.

25:13Andy Holloway:I think Booty will be – if anything, he's just – he'll be on the waiver show when Hutchinson inevitably is overtaken.

25:21Mike Wright:Brees Hall on track to play week one. He was dealing with the groin. Must have butterflyed stretch. By the way, we did an embarrassing butterfly stretch analysis of all staff members yesterday. Some of you? Papa Josh. Impressive. Papa Josh must have tore those groins as a young man. Doesn't have them anymore. No restrictions. Knees to the ground. But on the other hand, Al Borland has work to do. I do. I do. Not a butterfly that could really get off the ground, I don't think. You know what I mean? That was a caterpillar stretch. I tried flapping those wings. Yeah, you could.

25:54Andy Holloway:Got a lot of crisscross applesauce going on, eh? Oh, yeah. No, I love chairs.

26:01Mike Wright:The news about Ashton Gentry's ankle sprain more low than high. That's good. Hopefully. We'll see.

26:08Jason Moore:More low than high. That's such a weird phrase. The high versus low is like different ligaments. It's not literally like a percentage of direction. I don't get it.

26:20Mike Wright:Trayvon Henderson has been diagnosed with a low right ankle injury and will undergo further precautionary tests. Malik Nabors wasn't wearing a non-contact jersey on Monday's practice. Reasonable to assume he will be ready for week one, according to John Harbaugh. That's big news. Ja 'Cory Kraski-Mera injured his groin. Yeah. thank you uh sorry that was honestly embarrassing at this time well i was to not be i was reading

26:51Andy Holloway:because we have in monday's practice but i think i had read something that had actually happened

26:55Mike Wright:last thursday rashad white returned to individual drills so there's a little flippy floppy of availability for the running back room trey benson set free by the cardinals released what a great third round pick he was he i saw one play yesterday he had one play with arizona that accounted for 11.5 % of his total yards on the team ever.

27:15Andy Holloway:That's how utilized he was in Arizona. Dude could not stay healthy. Well, I mean, year one he was buried behind James Conner, who at that point was still playing very good football. And then he couldn't stay healthy. If you're a Benson believer like I am, this was the only way forward. I mean, it's probably over. But if he stayed on the Cardinals, there was no path at all.

27:39Mike Wright:Mike LaFleur said Monday Jeremiah Love is progressing in his recovery from a high ankle sprain and will remain sidelined this week. Is that?

27:45Andy Holloway:Now, I know the rumors were the high ankle. Does that like an actual confirmation of it? I don't know. I saw reported as high ankle, but I did too. But I thought it was they were like, we're not sure because they're not saying anything. I'm assuming there's also degrees. Well, it's more high than low.

28:05Mike Wright:Yeah. I just mean like there's got to be a worse or better. Yes, there are grades. High ankle sprain grade-wise. We had a mild setback for Keaton Mitchell, who had missed practice on Sunday and Monday. I mean, he was flashing in the preseason. They want to utilize him, but if he can't stay healthy, which has been a problem for Keaton Mitchell. True. I mean, he missed an entire year in Baltimore and had other injuries. That's something to pay attention to. You would love Omar Ian Hampton to get some pass-catching third-down work that would be going to Keaton Mitchell to concentrate it a little bit.

28:39Mike Wright:That's the biggest concern. Brian Thomas Jr. is, quote, all right. After falling on his shoulder, there was some news reports this morning that – All right. All right. All right. All right. That he was down and people were worried. And then this is exciting. This is terrible news for Michael Penix. Kevin Stefanski said Michael Penix and Tua Tungvalu will split first team reps on Monday. I saw the stats. Penix, you've got to have a setback, brother. Penix was four for eight. So you can start. Yeah. And Tua was 0 for 3.

29:07Andy Holloway:Yeah.

29:08Mike Wright:Man, that is what they wouldn't do for Shadu or Sanders. Am I right? And then Allen Robinson, the target monster. The last time you overhear us say that officially retiring, he was a my guy for Mike in 2015 with Jacksonville. That was a good one. He led the league in touchdowns yeah that was a great was a pro bowl year for alan robinson alan robinson great

29:38Andy Holloway:player thank you for the uh didn't have the career i think we might have hoped from that point no

29:43Jason Moore:no he didn't but the target monster was awesome he got me uh i believe league of record championship

29:48Mike Wright:that year you have yes he had that play down the sideline oh yes the saints yeah i think you said

29:53Jason Moore:you i was in my boxers high kicking in the living room yeah yes sir remember the title is mine i

30:00Mike Wright:Yes, you remember it too, huh? Let's do some mailbag.

30:06Mike Wright:Mailbag. Mailbag. Damn. If you have a question for the show, go to the website, thefantasyfootballers.com. Click the submit a question button or dial our voicemail hotline. We have a couple of voicemails today, 302-464-TFFB. We'll start with one of those. Hey, Ballers. Just wanted a quick question on a keeper that I have in an upcoming league. Should I keep Cam Scadaboo with my ninth round pick, or should I keep Quinshawn Judkins with my 16th round pick? Thanks. Love the show.

30:38Andy Holloway:Man, that's such a good question. Cam Scadaboo for a ninth, Quinshawn Judkins for a 16th.

30:45Jason Moore:I think you've got to start with just who do you like more, because the ninth round is where, you know, that's where I'll start taking quarterbacks. I'll start taking my late tight ends because the running backs and wide receivers there are, you know, they're not exactly the guys that are high odds to be good. So if you're like definitely on the Scadaboo side, I don't think the value from 9 to 16 is worth switching. But the question is, which side are you on right now with the recent kind of vibes that it's not going to be the Scadaboo show? They bring in Najee. They, you know, the way that they've been talking, it just doesn't seem like he's going to be a three down back.

31:24Jason Moore:back although tyrone tracy feels like he has really zero down back oh man i mean his what his preseason i'll take cam here oh and you're mr judkins yeah i'll take cam here because you

31:38Mike Wright:know what you can talk a big game about not giving the ball to cam scadaboo a lot but when your alternative is to hand it to devon singletary tyrone tracy or the often achilles naji harris who, by the way, this is not Najee from five years ago that was more of a threat. Even five years ago wasn't great. Exactly. That's my point. We hear the name Najee and we're like, oh, my gosh, what a threat. Last year, Najee was the threat to Hampton, right? And so I think when push comes to shove and this team needs to get going three, four weeks into the season, I'd be shocked if Scatterloo doesn't have the workload.

32:16Andy Holloway:I hope you are correct. I don't have a ton of faith in the coaching staff up in New York to make real good decisions with their offense. But of these –

32:29Mike Wright:You want to know a little bonus to picking Cam here? Please. You don't have to watch Watson.

32:34Jason Moore:Yeah, it's Cam Scatterboot for me. I want to watch the Giants. I think the Giants are going to be a good team this year. I don't know that we're going to necessarily love how Nagy implements everything, but I think their defense is underrated and I believe that we haven't seen them with this many good offensive weapons in a while. Dart, if he's the real thing, didn't get neighbors, has neighbors, didn't have Cam, has Scatter. I really wish they still had Wandale.

33:00Mike Wright:I feel like that's the missing piece of that team is I wish they had Wandale, neighbors, likely Cam. I hope that Malachi Fields and some of these other guys can step up. That's just the one thing that sticks out. I hope you're right. It'd be fun, right? Are you taking Cam or Judkins?

33:18Jason Moore:I'm going to take Scadaboo. I believe that he's just so talented. Judkins, I worry, won't have the pass-catching role, whereas Scadaboo is such a good pass-catcher.

33:29Andy Holloway:Hey, Ballers, this is Dan in South Bend. I want to see if you guys think I'm overreacting. I'm thinking about trading Judkins or Ramondi Stevenson, but Stevenson being on what I feel is going to be a much better offense than Cleveland. What do you guys think about that? I appreciate it. Love the show. So this is trade Quinshawn Judkins for Ramondre. So I would, at first I would say, I don't think you're overreacting to believe the Patriots offense will be better than the Cleveland Browns. I'll start with that one.

33:57Jason Moore:I don't think that's his overreaction. It's just, are you going as far as saying, I would rather, I mean, basically, would you draft Ramondre ahead of Judkins?

34:06Mike Wright:Here's one thing I will mention to you when you think about this. on a points per game basis stevenson was better than jedkins last year yeah 11.6 to 11.2 fancy points per game it's ramondre i don't think there's anything wrong with taking ramondre he just oh there's plenty wrong i have the back-to-back in my rankings right now who do you

34:29Jason Moore:have higher i've got quench on judkins a spot higher than ramondre right now yeah i mean i

34:34Mike Wright:think it's i think that's a like jason said pick the guy you like the most there i don't think that's a problem if you have more conviction around goal line opportunities for armandre because watson hasn't sniffed the goal line in five years we we talk about you know when you're

34:47Jason Moore:in a tier that's when you use tiebreakers and if you want to use the team the environment as the

34:53Mike Wright:tiebreaker great do it we did get a fun little update from jordan renan over there in new york the unofficial giant depth chart for the finale just got released cam scadaboo the starter but listen to this here's the backup the backup is the rb2 is tyrone tracy or naji harris or devin singletary that's the listed brother perfect have some backbone

35:17Andy Holloway:green play who knows who the backup is the backups don't you can't tell tracy he's the backup

35:23Jason Moore:no what can uh his or his preseason has first letting jackson dart die on the field because of entirely your fault. And then fumbling in the red zone the next week, not a good look. No, it's not.

35:40Mike Wright:Not great. There you go. All right. Our next question comes in from Preston in Utah. If you draft Josh Allen, is it worth targeting DJ Moore later in the draft to get that stack?

35:54Jason Moore:Yeah, I think so. I'm a big fan of – Oh, you're in now. I'm not necessarily in in the sense that, like, I'm not personally taking a lot of DJ Moore. I see I'm not completely opposed like I was earlier. He's looked really good in camp. You know, it seemed like at his age he had lost it with the Bears. Changing teams to a team that can do it without him. You know, they've done it the last couple years. It seemed very uphill sledding to have DJ Moore work out. however this offseason DJ Moore's looked really good and I mean I know we've gotten duped in the past from Allen Robinson looking great in camp and then he doesn't have it so I'm fine letting DJ Moore go but if I were to have already drafted Josh Allen that's the that's the place where I

36:43Andy Holloway:take DJ Moore personally would you go would you rather do that or would you just wait and have like a Dalton Kincaid Josh Allen stack I mean I those are both things in the back of my mind

36:55Mike Wright:as a Josh Allen manager in our upcoming draft is just like to split the difference on like with Kincaid or Goddard or all those later round tight ends it's like that'd be awesome to have the stack it'd be awesome to take a shot on DJ Moore if he's around late I feel like he's going to get ignored in a lot of drafts I mean that could be an underrated stack for sure you're in

37:13Andy Holloway:the late fifth or in the uh the early sixth I'm trying to pull up ADP real quick because it's what what is your opportunity cost to buy that stack you're talking you're passing on probably not a lot jmo williams wait what luther burden bashal tootin jadarian price oh i i might not have dj

37:33Jason Moore:more yeah that's your name to you shouldn't have said any of that stuff like if you take fifth

37:39Andy Holloway:round it's late fifth early sixth round they're talking uh this is sleeper adp yeah dj more needs

37:44Jason Moore:to be back of the sixth.

37:46Andy Holloway:Yes.

37:47Jason Moore:Yes.

37:47Andy Holloway:So more like you're open to it, but maybe not force it.

37:51Jason Moore:I'm definitely not forcing that. And to answer your other question, I would rather do the Dalton Kincaid because I believe in Dalton Kincaid at the position.

38:02Mike Wright:All right. That's a name. Instagram question from Big Neck Officer. Big Neck Officer? Is this Davis Mills? Maybe. Well, that's Tall Neck. you wouldn't call it a big neck that's a good question I think a big neck is more like Shrek

38:21Andy Holloway:Brock Lesnar Shrek doesn't really have a neck Brock Lesnar is more of a lot traps

38:27Jason Moore:who's the Eagles security guy oh

38:33Andy Holloway:I can't think of his name I know what you're talking about

38:36Mike Wright:Big Dom but the question is how many games

38:39Andy Holloway:or as Matt would say Big Dim You idiots And you tried to delete it before I saw it What he typed that It's just a typo He types like he thinks You understand a typo like big dom to big dim It's a pretty big deal Is your hair all wet What are you doing Are you practicing dance moves Why are you so sweaty Matthew What are you doing back there

39:06Jason Moore:YouTube.com slash the fantasy footballers He's having a run He's trying to lean so hard to get out of frame.

39:13Mike Wright:Is it because of the sweat? No, it's a new look. It's a new thing that my stylist can make. Oh, now I feel bad.

39:21Jason Moore:No, it looks great. It's supposed to dry eventually, but it hasn't in an hour or two.

39:26Andy Holloway:They were like, put this oil in? Yeah.

39:28Jason Moore:All right.

39:29Mike Wright:From this angle, it's more of a hairnet. But anyways, how many games into the NFL season do you think a team has shown you who they really are? Oh, that's a great question. We may have to compensate for some of what we do to the ducers with a ducer of the day award or something.

39:45Jason Moore:I think we're going to need that. Give it to Matt. That's fine. I'd like to talk about it. You are the ducer of the day. The first ever ducer of the day.

39:55Andy Holloway:Congratulations. We'll be back to talk about you some more. Yeah. Now that you're the ducer of the day, you can take it.

40:00Mike Wright:Just nominates you for the whole show to get ripped.

40:04Jason Moore:Yes. Oh, congratulations. Congratulations on such an honor.

40:09Mike Wright:How many games into the NFL season does it take for a team to show you who they really are? Gosh.

40:14Andy Holloway:I'm going to say I got my number.

40:18Mike Wright:You want to write it down? Yeah. Let me – you write your number down, but I'm going to give one thought, which is the Colts last year. But I guess that was in you. That was laundry. All right. I've got my number.

40:32Andy Holloway:Like trends and just like momentum and stuff, I think that can ebb and flow, but to know who that team is.

40:38Mike Wright:All right. My number is – oh, Mike wrote 10.

40:41Andy Holloway:I went 10.

40:42Mike Wright:I went 6.

40:43Jason Moore:I went 4.

40:44Andy Holloway:Okay.

40:45Jason Moore:I think after the first month, not that teams can't change and get better. Like, I remember – That's why I need more.

40:51Andy Holloway:Like, I've seen – I think 4 is too few for me, too. Remember when the Denver Broncos were, like, 6-0 or 7-0 and then they didn't make the playoffs? That was the McDaniel year.

41:00Jason Moore:But those are outliers. I was just going to bring up when the Chiefs were 0-5 and made the playoffs. that was like they really changed course yeah and so i need 10 by the end of the year they are something different than they were at the beginning of the year let's uh put it to the test okay four

41:16Mike Wright:weeks into last year do you want to look at where we were oh that's neat we have that information it exists a little bit uh oh man bills are four and oh oh man yeah i don't think you're gonna get the right data i wouldn't do it i don't think it's the right data kyle says 17 we do know through 17 games um yeah i should be i should be able to get this data we'll figure it out kyle's on it kyle's on it yeah he's he's i'm busy hosting the show i can't get good data um but yeah for me it's like six but i was leaning more towards the high side maybe eight i think after six is like you can you're starting to figure it out the schedules can be just really complimentary or tough like the broncos are they gonna are we gonna know who the broncos are through four weeks yeah the

42:01Jason Moore:Broncos the Jaguars the Patriots they get off to really tough starts but I I also think you have to for fantasy purposes you've got to kind of make an early judgment you don't want to do too early none of us wrote down like hey you just need to see them play twice uh I my point was I don't think you can do it before four like oh totally but after four you've got to start making those judgment calls of who's a great defense who's you know the offense it's tough because if you wait 10 you know you've got a couple it's not a lot of information yeah you got a couple weeks

42:32Andy Holloway:left before fantasy playoffs i was looking at the question more like who do i like the team do i actually believe that this team is going to make noise there um we'll take a break we've got some more questions what's up foot clan you are confident and disciplined and focused on details

42:49Mike Wright:just like everyone here at the fancy footballers right those are words you use to describe us in In other words, you were made to drive the 2026 Sierra 1500 Denali, a full-size pickup combining capability with elevated design and advanced technology. You can seek out the exceptional with the Denali, their standard 5.3 liter V8 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. It's got a bold design. We like bold designs. They got the signature Denali grille, Papa Josh, you know, the signature grille, the chrome header, patterned aluminum trim. Inside, you've got all that comfort. You know, Jason's a comfort guy.

43:30Mike Wright:We like the comfort. Comfort reigns with leather seating surfaces and 12-way power front seats with power lumbar. You can learn more right now at gmc.com slash Sierra 1500. All right, Foot Clan, whether you are on the go or at home, T-Mobile, well, they're built to keep you connected wherever you're scouting your fantasy team. And that on-the-go part, that is important. With America's Best Network, you'll be connected to the latest news and player projections, so when you're on the clock, you can draft a winning team. I can think of so many situations where that element of being connected while you're on the go is fundamental to fantasy football success.

44:07Mike Wright:I'm in the midst of multiple leagues right now where I am responding to trade offers. We are massaging the trade offer. We want to make sure that I'm the one that gets the player, not another player manager in our league. So trade offers when you're on the go, all the news that's breaking so you don't make a mistake. And my favorite thing, maybe I'll mention it. Look, you're sitting and you have a quiet moment somewhere out and about. You want to jump in the UDK. We got the player profiles. You can watch all of those in there with T-Mobile. You can jump in on the player projections and our stat projections and all the 130 ,000 words of content.

44:40Mike Wright:Again, T-Mobile making that easy to do. Every bit of news, things are changing all the time. New player contracts, all that good stuff. So from off season to game day, every play is better with T-Mobile, what you got to do is visit T-Mobile.com slash network. Fastest is based on analysis by Ookla of speed test intelligence data of national speed score results for the second half of 2025. The best mobile network in the U.S. is based on analysis by Ookla of speed test intelligence data second half of 2025.

45:15Mike Wright:All right, Brett writing in, is there such a thing as over mock drafting i've done 100 since may please don't judge me no judgment judgment free zone here um i don't think so unless you're annoying your servers i i think the danger could be

45:32Andy Holloway:that mock drafts are are a tremendous tool to kind of get you ready for things but you know that in your live draft you're gonna have at least two wild cards where a and you know when like a pick here or there in the second or third round really changes the the trajectory so if you're like i've done this a hundred times i'm locked in i know that this is the range weird stuff happens here's uh i do have the standings after four weeks okay all right uh

46:03Mike Wright:last year buffalo's four and oh new england was two and two okay i'm just gonna read like the top two of every division sure pittsburgh three and one cincinnati two and two baltimore was one and three that was that changed um indianapolis three and one jacksonville three and one chargers three and one denver two and two uh philly four and a washington two and two so i mean take some time yeah detroit three and one green bay two and one tampa three and one atlanta two and two san fran three and one seattle three and one rams three and one cardinals two and two wow has never won another game i think the rest of the year that was crazy uh stack attack question from Gunderson.

46:42Mike Wright:What's an underrated stack to watch for when drafting? We just talked about. I think DJ Moore with Josh Allen is an underrated stack. Tyler Shuck is free. If you get a Lave and you want to wait on a quarterback, why not take that shot?

46:56Andy Holloway:I'm for it. The Jordan Tyson injury is such a bummer for Tyler Shuck at the beginning of the year.

47:03Mike Wright:Although it's a clearer stack now.

47:05Andy Holloway:Of course. I'm just saying that Tyler Shuck being free was oh man it was going to feed families yeah you were you were very in on him for fantasy this

47:15Jason Moore:year i don't think it's still gonna happen at all i i think it can happen in the first half too i i do believe that what we saw last year you know he didn't have his pace his starter pace of 4200 yards yeah exactly and that he didn't have jordan tyson then one touchdown and coming into uh year two i i like that stack i i i did a tweet of my favorite stacks uh including like the adp value in order and in little tiers, I accidentally left Shuck and Olave off, and that was my mistake. The one that I'm going for that I like the value of right now, if I can get, I like Neighbors in the third and Dart in the ninth.

47:53Jason Moore:Oh, man. It is playing with fire because both of those guys, you know, Malik Neighbors coming off the ACL, does he start slow? Is it a problem? Jackson Dart, I mean, Andy's bust pick, You could see how that doesn't work out, Matt Nagy. But at the same time, I feel like both guys are in a range where they represent value. If Malik Nabors is healthy and has his best season, he does not belong anywhere near there. If Jackson Dart has his good version of his, he doesn't belong anywhere near there. These are both guys that could seriously outproduce their ADP.

48:31Andy Holloway:Where do you – so, you know, we bring up the, hey, draft as late as you possibly can. There are a few players where it does help the drafter early if you had the courage to do it. Because, like, Malik in the third, I think when, like, the huge drafts are coming this weekend and some even next weekend, he's not going in the third. No, he'll be in the second for sure. People will go early second round on Malik Nabors. So, that's an ADP. like if you're looking at that you know I think rubbing your hands thinking you're going to get Malik neighbors in the third I think that is incorrect I think well let's let's just look

49:05Jason Moore:here because right now you've got I doubt he goes above the uh AJ Brown Drake London tier what would

49:12Andy Holloway:he could he sneak above I bet I bet there's leagues he goes above Drake London uh Nico Collins

49:17Jason Moore:George Pickens so yeah so if that's the case if he's in that area people are going to be willing to do that it's basically the two three turn yeah you're at the back of the two um more than likely and and yeah i agree that's where he'll go in every league yeah just someone will reach just

49:33Andy Holloway:want people be aware don't be sitting looking at that adp thinking he'll come back around the rest of your league is salivating looking at that adp trying to get a steal uh i'll bring up bo nix and jalen waddle you know the uh the case was made uh just earlier for for bo nix being a true value in the draft.

49:52Mike Wright:Bo Nix was very close to being a my guy for me if it wasn't for the first six-week schedule. Right. So, dude, we all can see that. Like, how can it be worse than where he's being drafted? Yes.

50:03Andy Holloway:He's going in the late 10th, which is like this is an afterthought. And then I'll stack in with Jalen Waddle, who remains one of my favorite picks in fantasy right now.

50:13Mike Wright:One thing we were talking about before the show is that there are certain players that are – some players are kind of guaranteed to produce on some level. Some players are full, like maybe that wild card category where they could be, like I was saying, Travion. Travion could be three things. Yes, he can. He could be worthless for your team. He could be a flex-worthy player, and he could win your league if he got the opportunity. I look at Dart through that lens. Do you agree with that? I definitely agree with that.

50:39Jason Moore:Dart could fall on his face and be worthless, and he could be a league winner.

50:43Mike Wright:So I have a couple other names. See if you guys agree on them having three possible outcomes. I love this. The extreme bust all the way up to extreme league winner. Bucky Irving. Do you think that that's the case?

50:53Jason Moore:I don't I don't see league winning. I don't either. I think it's established that the pass catching role is Gainwell's now.

51:00Mike Wright:What about Jadarian Price? Yes. So all three ranges?

51:03Andy Holloway:If the coaches decide that he is the guy, which, come on. Dude. A thing that will bring me such joy, and I get it I'm sorry, it will be fantasy misery for people. If George Helani is keeping Jadarian Price off the field, because this is just what Seattle does, and living my life of Charbonnet keeping Ken Walker off the field, it will bring me some sick sense of... Some morbid pleasure? Yeah, I'll feel pretty okay about it.

51:41Mike Wright:There's a lot of stuff in fantasy like that, that you're just like, I don't want to see you fail, but right um i would rather price just take the job price could be all three yeah agreed rj harvey

51:51Andy Holloway:uh i don't think he can be the league winner because i i think if slash when jk dobbins misses some games i i think it goes to coleman like coleman is now to the point of the drum beat and the hype, he's making me more nervous about the J.K. Dobbins pick. Right. I don't give two farts about R.J. Harvey. He's not overtaking Dobbins and getting a whole bunch of work. If Coleman is as good as we thought he was going to be and then the coaches believe he is the guy, that is a transition that could happen.

52:30Jason Moore:Yeah, I think that R.J. Harvey has a higher ceiling than we have been giving him credit for, but I agree it's not a league winner.

52:37Andy Holloway:Like if Harvey's catching 40 passes, what did he catch last year? Probably near there.

52:43Mike Wright:Yeah, probably in the 40s.

52:45Andy Holloway:Let's see. Because he finished at RB21. Yeah, he caught 47. Man, five receiving touchdowns. So I guess he would have to be more up in like the high 50s or 60s.

52:56Mike Wright:Three more names that I'm at. I wonder if you see them in all three categories. This potential bust, potentially just good, and potentially league winner. Parker Washington.

53:04Jason Moore:Definitely. I don't think he can bust I do I don't

53:11Andy Holloway:I think that he is solid to great

53:14Jason Moore:Did you guys see the new uniform reveal graphic?

53:18Mike Wright:Oh the Jaguars? It's the rival uniforms It's not about the uniforms

53:26Jason Moore:Oh is it Parker in the center? Parker is dead center and it's not like in a line It's a V where Parker's in the front The flying V? The Flying V, everyone is behind Parker. He's sitting there front and center like I'm the dude.

53:39Andy Holloway:It's not even Trev? No, no. Is that the horse boy? Yeah, the horse boy. Is he too tall? They had tall people in the back? Well, yeah, short in the front. It makes sense.

53:47Jason Moore:But I do think Parker Washington could bust simply because of how many mouths there are to feed. But I also – That's interesting, though, Mike. He scares me on the league winning side. Two more. I love these. I love these.

54:02Mike Wright:One quarterback, one tight end. You ready?

54:03Andy Holloway:one quarterback one tight end Kyler Murray oh man yes I will put my face back in the woodshedder for Kevin O 'Connell disgusting yeah the only JJ McCarthy is the only quarterback who well Brosmer but Brosmer didn't just belong to be on the the NFL field it's like you got value out of the the the shell that is Carson Wentz and that you let him be destroyed and he

54:32Jason Moore:was still giving you production we we talked a lot on this episode about stacks and you know we've been a little bit worried about justin jefferson at least yellow flags for where he's going in the first round it's like and i'm still there and i'm still there too but i was thinking about this if justin jefferson works like let's say justin jefferson's awesome meaning he's a top three wide receiver where he has been most of his career yeah the jefferson kyler stack is going to He's going to be the best one in football. So that's, you know, if you grab Justin Jefferson in the first, even if you have another quarterback, maybe, like, use your last pick.

55:06Jason Moore:Because Kyler's, I mean, borderline undrafted right now in single quarterback leagues. I think he could go high, but doubtful. Dalton Kincaid. Yeah. I do think so. I think that there's a world where he jumps to the elite if he gets the the opportunities he's obviously been great on a per route run and in there is definitely I mean we've seen it year after year where absolutely worthless yeah those picks are

55:36Mike Wright:interesting you really don't want a bunch of those on your team I think I think it's good to have one maybe two players that you spin the draft pick and you're like they might not start for me but they could also be tremendous.

55:51Jason Moore:I think it's a matter of where the cost is. If you're talking about double-digit round cost on guys like, if Dalton Kincaid makes it to the 10th and Kyler is free, I'll take shots on them like crazy. All right.

56:04Mike Wright:Do you guys know what tomorrow is? Oh, my Atlanta.

56:08Andy Holloway:It's Wednesday.
