In short
Episode topic: Live Fantasy Footballers “Megalashow” from Phoenix (Van Buren) featuring bold predictions, a live mailbag/AMA, and “quick question” player/team comps to movies.
Guest backgrounds
No specific guests are named in the transcript; the episode is hosted by Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright, with audience participation.
Key claims
- Joe Burrow breaks single-season passing yard record and passing TD record if Jamar Chase and T. Higgins stay healthy and Cincinnati stays pass-heavy/red-zone efficient.
- “Bell cow” running backs return: five RBs projected to reach 350 touches (B. John Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, Jameer Gibbs, Christian McCaffrey, James Cook III).
- Negative: second-year RBs at high ADP will disappoint; examples targeted include Ashton Jeanty? (called “Ashton Gentry”), plus Quinton Judkins, Travion Henderson, and others.
- Positive: Marvin Harrison Jr. is “finally good” for top-15 fantasy WR production after a rookie season derailed by injuries/quarterback/coaching changes.
Notable examples
- 49ers “final destination” injury trend (2013-2021 high games lost to injury; 2024 top; 2025 top five).
- Matt Nagy “Fight Club” comp for his Giants offense.
- Jacksonville “Fantasy Trap Team” (Trevor Lawrence rushing TD regression; crowded WR/TE roles).

3:50Mike Wright:I tell you. But we have a spectacular live show. Jason is so sweaty. Oh, my gosh. I shouldn't have jumped off the stage. Did you jump off the stage?
4:00Jason Moore:It's a tradition. It's a long ways.
4:04Andy Holloway:Andy, he already posted in our chat, wishing I had a fan.
4:09Jason Moore:Those are private messages, Mike. No, no, no.
4:12Mike Wright:Not today, dude. Not today. My goodness. So we are so excited. This is going to be tomorrow's episode. You're all a part of it.
4:23Who here, who's already done their League of Record drafts?
4:29Andy Holloway:Okay, so we got some, like they're coming up? There we go.
4:34Mike Wright:Hold on, hold on. How many this weekend? And how many Labor Day weekend? We've trained them well. We have. Good work, everybody. Trying not to get injured. Trying not to get players injured. No, seriously.
4:51Andy Holloway:Call ambulance. Are you doing... You can do the show?
4:55Mike Wright:We're good. We're good. So we wanted to... Not only are you a part of today's show, it's a bold predictions episode, so prepare yourself.
5:03Andy Holloway:There's some things that are... Spicy. Spicy. Yeah.
5:11Andy Holloway:But we also... I didn't say it was nasty. I just said it was spicy.
5:15Jason Moore:Usually bold predictions are pretty nasty.
5:17Andy Holloway:Bro, you are sweaty.
5:19Jason Moore:I know. Dude, I jumped off a stage. It's like four feet high.
5:23Mike Wright:Let me just tell you, backstage, we were like coming out here, taking a look at everything. We're like, are you going to jump off? And he's like, I'm 44 years old. There's no way I'm jumping off of the stage.
5:33Jason Moore:But then I saw the people. Yeah.
5:36Mike Wright:Overwhelmed.
5:40Mike Wright:So after the show, we're also, I mean, the people here at the Van Buren have been amazing. Is this venue awesome or what? Seriously. And they've given us some extra time, so we want to give you some extra time. Yeah, show the sweaty man.
5:59Jason Moore:What are you talking about? I got an extra towel if you need it, bro. No, this one's pretty big. It's going to be all right. I've just used a quarter of it so far.
6:08Mike Wright:We're going to hang out after for a little AMA extra action for the people here in the building. and we got some surprises up our sleeve as well. So it's going to be awesome. We need your help a couple times tonight. Yes. When the show starts, I need my people to help welcome in everybody to the podcast.
6:28Andy Holloway:Well, let me ask. Number one, you know what the welcome in sounds like. Papa John. What? Security? Oh, I thought security. There's an inebriated person who needs to be removed from the premises. Papa Josh? Is that a joke? Do you understand you made that man's life just now? Disgusting. He was paid. We all know the welcome in. It's not officially football time. Whoa. But it is. Are we doing a football time? No, but it's a lot. Did you get booze? I'm saying it is. When it's live, it's football time. Okay. All right.
7:09Mike Wright:It's football time. And then we're going to do a spectacular live mailbag, and we all want you in on that as well. A live AMA after the podcast. And if you've got pictures and stuff, make sure you tag us on X and put the hashtag Megalashow if you can spell it. But are you guys ready for a show? Hey, shout out to Al Borland in the back. He's going to get us started. Oh, yes. What's up, Oakland? He is riddled with illness and here today to put on the greatest show you've ever seen. Hit it, Al. Let's do it.
7:52Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
8:05Mike Wright:Let's do it. Oh, welcome in.
8:14Jason Moore:There it is.
8:17Mike Wright:Let's go. Welcome in one and all, the Megalist Show. The heart rate is up. We're here in Phoenix, Arizona. Football is less than two weeks away. There are games going on right this minute. I feel like a hummingbird right now. We have alerted the team that if suddenly some bit of news happens, they're going to let us know, and then I'll tell you that Joe Burrow retired. Is Andrew Luck back? So we did this show in 2019, almost on this exact date, Andrew Luck retired moments before we took the stage. It blew up the entire plan, and that would be the same as Burrow retiring today.

8:58Jason Moore:You shut your mouth.
9:00Mike Wright:But he didn't do it because Mike wouldn't be here.
9:02Jason Moore:That would cause extra problems for today's show.
9:05Mike Wright:So we are excited. We've got a great quick question we're going to get into. We've got bold predictions, which are spicy. We've got mailbag here live in Phoenix at the Van Buren. All of your questions, people here in the building have sent in their questions. We're going to answer them. But let's kick it off.
9:22Andy Holloway:Hold on. Matt? Oh, no. Matt, are you back there? Oh, no. That's not actually Matt. what have you planned back there yeah yeah you get the state that like the stage it looks sort of complete do you have something for me oh no can you find that for me real quick what is happening this is like me like we got the helmets on it we're live what is this i mean as long as he
9:51Jason Moore:remembered the bit oh you trusted matt he's behind you oh my god Oh!
10:02Mike Wright:Did you know about this, Jason?
10:04Andy Holloway:Of course not. I would never have allowed this. Did you know that a super-duper champ was with you guys? I'll just hold it. Put the thing down. I'll just hold it. Because I am a super-duper champ!
10:19Andy Holloway:League of Record. Baller's Dynasty. Oh, man, look at that. Never been done before. Never will be done before unless I do it. Well, I might do it again. Well. I might do it again. This is why we play, right? The people love the year of Mike. They sure did last year. Yes. It's over.
10:40Mike Wright:It's got to be over.
10:41Andy Holloway:People love a sequel to a great movie.
10:44Jason Moore:Sequels are almost never better. And that's the truth.
10:49Andy Holloway:I'll jump right to Last Crusade if I have to.
10:52Mike Wright:Yeah, well, listen. Thank you, Matt. Now you put me in a bad mood, Mike.
10:58Andy Holloway:I didn't want to remember this
11:01Mike Wright:Today's quick question You ready Mike? Yeah yeah yeah Sponsored by PetSmart Here's what I got for you It's your job To compare a player or team To a blockbuster movie This is what we always do On the live show So we've all selected one That we feel like fits the mold For 2026 And I'm going to kick it off I'm excited for yours The San Francisco 49ers We got any 49er fans here?
11:29Jason Moore:Yeah! I like the boos.
11:32Mike Wright:Get bodied! Thank you. Thank you for booing them. The San Francisco 49ers are final destination.
11:42Jason Moore:Yes, they are.
11:46Mike Wright:Every single year, they think they have cheated death, and then death is like, see you at training camp. I mean, listen to this. From 2013 to 2021, they have averaged the highest games lost to injury in the NFL. That's weird. They were number one in 2024, top five last year. I mean, their medical tent has a medical tent, a littler one, inside of it. And they've lost Pearsall. They've lost Kittle's coming back from injury. McCaffrey had tightness for three weeks. You leave sweet, sweet. Well, we hope they're fine.
12:26Jason Moore:You can bring up Mike Evans.
12:27Mike Wright:Mike Evans and his meat injuries. Jason is a medical expert.
12:34Jason Moore:Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have diagnosed poor meat.
12:37Mike Wright:So manager special, right?
12:40Jason Moore:Did you know? That's your medical analysis. My professional medical opinion is, unfortunately, at this age, poor meat.
12:48Mike Wright:Your meat is poor. That's why they tune in. Did you know use check out a broken finger, too, just like his little bonus? Oh, how dare you? Juice is fine. They face the Cardinals, Seahawks, Rams, and then Pacific Gas and Electric in the division. The substation is out of control.
13:11Mike Wright:I don't know how Christian McCaffrey escaped it, but everybody out there, say a prayer for this team, for your draft picks coming up, because the 49ers are absolutely final destination. it's pretty much inevitable. I mean, I don't know how it keeps happening.
13:27Andy Holloway:All right. I'm going to go next here. I'm going to compare a situation to a movie. Matt Nagy. Uh-oh.
13:40Jason Moore:Is this the postman?
13:42Andy Holloway:Is that the whole thing? I'm done. Matt Nagy is... Matt Nagy is... Fight Club. He's the movie fan.
13:55Jason Moore:But my.
13:56Andy Holloway:Yes, voice of public opinion.
13:58Jason Moore:Fight Club's a really good movie.
14:00Andy Holloway:It is a really good movie. Let me tell you, the first rule of Matt Nagy's offense is you don't ask Matt Nagy about his offense. And here's what's going to happen. After weeks of trying to identify the lunatic who's sabotaging the Giants offense, offense climaxing with Jackson Dart being split in two. Oh, like Marty from not another teen movie. That joke is for like six people out in the crowd, but they love it. Matt Nagy will eventually turn to the footage and he will see the man who has made the horrible call on third down. He is Tyler Darden. It is me. It is Matt Nagy. Second lowest motion rate of any play caller since 2021.
14:46Andy Holloway:Third lowest play action drop back since 2021. This guy sucks.
14:53Mike Wright:I feel like in some ways that would be like the greatest thing to happen if he actually realized that he's the problem at the end of the story.
15:00Jason Moore:Yeah, but Ed started punching himself.
15:02Andy Holloway:Like, that'd be great. Here's the problem. You haven't seen the end of Fight Club. Where the season just ends that he is Tyler Durden and he just watches the entire Giants franchise. He's the scariest part of that team. Crumble and explode. He's the scariest part. Look at that guy up there. That guy sucks.
15:20Jason Moore:Some people shouldn't have jobs. And Matt Nagy and Matt here should not. All right. Wait, did Matt the Falcon just just look at the Falcons? He's bringing out championship belts, and he's doing a poor job. I mean, come on. All right. Thank you. Thank you. For my comp, it's pretty simple. I mean, pretty simple. I was like, well, this is too obvious. Everyone should know this. Aaron Rodgers is weakened at Bernie's. Okay, he's dead. All right? If you're not familiar with weakened at Bernie's, it's like there's two guys just holding up a dead guy for the whole movie. He's already dead. He's already dead.
16:05Jason Moore:You got DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman doing some heavy lifting. I watched the film on Rodgers. Sorry, but it is over. Put the sunglasses on.
16:15Andy Holloway:He thinks he looks super cool in that picture. Oh, he does look.
16:18Jason Moore:This is the best he can look. Get on their shoulders. You're dead. That's it.
16:22Mike Wright:Boom. Wow. That's going to be interesting. Steelers fans in the building? Hold on. Hold on. Steelers fans in the building. And hold on. Different question. Rogers fans in the building? Okay. Hold on. Hold on. I messed that up. Steelers fans who are also Rogers fans. There we go. There was one guy. The other ones were Packers fans. I know that for a fact.
16:47Andy Holloway:The Venn diagram is just shrunk. It's one person. Yeah.
16:51Mike Wright:Yeah.
16:51Andy Holloway:There's 800 people.
16:52Mike Wright:That is his brother-in-law. Oh, no. He's not a fan of Rogers. That was the quick question of the day presented by PetSmart. Visit your local PetSmart store. Go to PetSmart.com today. PetSmart. Anything for pets. Yeah. You guys ready for some bold predictions?
17:08Jason Moore:Woo.
17:10Mike Wright:Let's go, Jer.
17:25Mike Wright:You do like Tyler Shuck a little too much.
17:32Andy Holloway:Sounds like the people like him a little more than Aaron Rodgers.
17:36Mike Wright:And don't check the tape, but traditionally on this show, I think we reveal a couple of bold predictions each, and they've all pretty much been right. Other than maybe that one. Let's go Jets. Well, no, listen, Mike, that was maybe on this show the Jets were brought out once before. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't remember it.
17:57Andy Holloway:Remember when he had the American flag?
17:59Mike Wright:And he was like, we ride to the hospital. That was right before they were going to win the Super Bowl. so and we know gino yeah i mean that could have been your prediction but mike why don't you reveal your first bold prediction for tonight for the people i'm gonna start it
18:15Andy Holloway:off this one look we'll see if they believe we give you our bold predictions sometimes they're positive sometimes they're negative i'm starting with the positive what a guy and if you've been following the the podcast for the off season there is a team i am very bullish on and no it's It's not the Saints. I mean, it is, but not. It's not the Cardinals, dude. What are you talking about? It's the Cincinnati Bengals because this year. How do we have Bengals fans here? That's kind of weird. But listen, listen, listen. Strong opinions. This year, Joe Burrow breaks the single season passing yard record.
19:01Andy Holloway:And a passing touchdowns record, baby. Oh, my.
19:07Mike Wright:QB1. QB1. Listen, I'm intrigued, and I would like to see if you can make an effective argument. Well said. Yeah, you see, I got that word right.
19:25Andy Holloway:Sometimes I just have PTSD when you're talking. So Peyton Manning, the 2013, he is the current record holder who he threw for 5 ,477 passing yards. And how many touchdowns? 55! That was convenient. I mean, he did it. That was a good year. And Burrow's best passing number so far, 2024. Just a couple years ago, just shy of 5 ,000. So 4 ,918 yards, 43 passing yards. What would it take for Joe Burrow to break the record? Well, in that year, in 2024, when Joe Burrow had both Jamar and T. Higgins, a.k.a. me Higgins. Thank you, Jason. Are you guys awake? We're recording a fantasy football podcast. Let's have some fun.
20:23Andy Holloway:In those games, when he had those guys healthy, which I'm saying, you know, 50 % more are snaps of both of those players. His 17-game pace, just under 5 ,100 yards and 47 passing touchdowns. You're like, whoa, that's still way far away from the record. Except it's not. Except it's not. But we need him to get like 27 passing yards per game more than what he already did in 2024. Just a little bit. It's just a little tiny guy. It's just a little tiny guy. Look, rushing touchdowns. That's not what the Cincinnati Bengals are going to be about. We don't have Joe Mixon stealing touchdowns away from our precious JoJo Burrell.
21:09Andy Holloway:We got Chase Brown absolutely dominating and being an absolute reception threat. There's the likelihood of Chase Brown catching a touchdown versus ruining things for us for Joe Burrow and getting the rushing touchdown. It's just so much higher. Here's what we need. Chase Higgins. Okay, this sounds pretty bold.
21:32Mike Wright:That also sounded like one human. Yeah. Like you're saying Chase and Higgins, not the guy Chase Higgins.
21:38Andy Holloway:No, no, no. I'm just I'm running into Chase and Higgins are healthy the entire season.
21:41Jason Moore:Oh, that's step one? That's a new bold prediction. New bold prediction. Bold prediction. T. Higgins plays 17 games of football this year. Can we get one on Joe Burrow as well? Because that's pretty easy.
21:56Andy Holloway:Look, we just need them to remain up-tempo and pass heavy. They were second in seconds per play, as in they played very fast. Second in pass rate. Joe Burrow continues to crush inside the red zone. He was second in red zone touchdown percent last year, and we need that defense. Oh, we need that defense. Lindberger, we need that stank. They don't have a good defense. We need them to remain bottom ten. Look, that Broncos team with Peyton Manning, they were 22nd in points per game allowed. I think that the Cincinnati Bengals can achieve that goal if they put their minds together. And work to Mike's eventual end.
22:38Andy Holloway:I think they could be 20 seconds in points per game allowed. It's crazy, but I think that Joe –
22:46Mike Wright:I have a small question here. It's just a curiosity. All right. You held up that amazing trophy, and you said some things about yourself. Oh, you're talking about the super-duper champ? Yeah, that one. The never-been-done? I'm just thinking through this in my head. I'm like, who is your dynasty team quarterback and wide receiver? Do you have a reason to have this prediction? Well
23:10Andy Holloway:It's funny you should ask I have Jared Goff Uh huh And Joe Burrow Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase might be on my dynasty team But look Oh Chili I gotcha Bruh We've had a lot of random things yelled at us But a brand of chili okay better than papa josh the bangles are favored the cincinnati bangles before a snap of football has happened are favored in 15 of their 17 games that's more than the lions looking ahead their lines have the second highest average game total of anyone just behind the Dallas Cowboys. Joe Burrow could absolutely break the passing yards record. Maybe pass for you. Yeah, for me or you not just for me for everyone in this crowd.
24:14Mike Wright:Okay, it's bold Mike. We accept it.
24:16Jason Moore:The touchdown part's pretty ridiculous. I think we'd all be pretty happy. Well, I would I don't think Andy and I would be happy because of your stack, but the rest will be pretty happy. You know, I'm gonna be honest. I hope it doesn't come true um all right but let me tell you a bold prediction that is going to come true because i know it um that's good reason yeah yeah that's why you would marry steinberger there guys the bell cow is back okay Bang. Boom. Bang. The bell cow.
24:55Andy Holloway:Wait. Jason.
24:57Jason Moore:Jason. What is this? What is this? What is this? Number one? What is this?
25:04Jason Moore:He's planting the flag on Ramondre? Okay, this is not. This is. This is disgusting. I applaud you, sir. This is disgusting.
25:11Mike Wright:I applaud you. What a good decision.
25:15Jason Moore:Boo. Okay, well, for those listening at home, They have hoodwinked me, and they've stolen the back wall graphic. And it says that Ramondre Stevenson is going to be the number one running back.
25:28Mike Wright:They fixed it.
25:28Jason Moore:They all fixed it. Listen, Ramondre Stevenson is not a bell cow. He's a cow. That's it. Oh, okay. He's a cow. All right. A big, fat cow. All right. I have a new bowl prediction. A new one. My bowl prediction 1.B. I'll get back to the bell cow, but here's the truth. Ramondre Stevenson is getting injured in the second quarter of week two, and Henderson does not give the job back. How's that for a bold prediction? You heard it here. Quarter two of week two. We never really. He's done. Okay, Tonya Harding, take it easy. Yeah, I will make it happen. Calm down. You did this to me. This is ridiculous.
26:10Jason Moore:Jason. You see maybe a little rattle. We're a positive show. What are you doing? Look, you're going to hijack it from me. You're going to get to business. All right, here's what I'm actually saying, though. The bell cow is back. It's been a long time since, like, the early 2000s when the NFL was all about bell cow running backs. Guys getting 350 touches. It doesn't happen that much anymore. Two years ago, there were none. And to be clear, fantasy managers miss it. We do miss it. And I think we see what's going on in our average draft position right now with the fact that the bell cow is back, but I don't think we've caught up to what that means.
26:48Jason Moore:Over the last decade, there averages two running backs a year that touch the ball 350 times. That's it. This year, there will be five running backs, more than double the decade average. And I'm going to tell you which ones. You just keep listening. You just keep listening, sister. Yeah. I want you to just be like, there's five. There's five. Next bullet for the agent. Andy, you're up. As long as they're none of Mike's. Here are the five that will do it. B. John Robinson, check. Jonathan Taylor, check. Jameer Gibbs, of course. Yeah, check. Christian McCaffrey, check. Yeah. Over 400 last year. And James Cook III will do it.
27:35Jason Moore:Okay. Here's what we need. James Cook, you went full the third? He didn't want him to make a mistake. Like the second or the first. It's not daddy, James Cook. It's the current running back for the Buffalo Bills, who is the third. You need talented backs in the NFL. And with the arrival of B. John and Gibbs, with the health of guys like Jonathan Taylor and Christian McCaffrey, it should happen. But if you look at the average draft position in drafts right now, like those middle-round running backs, it's like, well, I don't really love them. And part of the reason you don't love them is because the backups aren't that good anymore for some of these great running backs.
28:14Jason Moore:I am not afraid of Brian Robinson Jr. for being. You're not? How did that work for Christian McCaffrey last year? Like, he didn't see the field.
28:22Andy Holloway:I don't know how that worked for Christian McCaffrey last year.
28:24Jason Moore:Yeah, pretty good. It's like one permanent victory lap. DJ Giddens and Seth McGowan for Jonathan Taylor, not happening. Isaiah Pacheco in your bra, not happening. Kalen Black and Jordan James, like this. You're just making up names now. I know, I know. Ty Johnson and an injured Ray Davis. Like, none of these guys are going to touch the ball on these teams compared to the running backs. So I think the takeaway advice on this piece of truth is that you really do want to grab one, or if you can grab two of these guys in your draft or via trade, I think you're going to be set up this year because wide receivers.
29:03Jason Moore:They'll carry the teams. They will carry the teams. The bell cow's going to be back, and we see this in the NFL, right? The pendulum always swings. the wide receivers get faster, get downfield more. So then it's two shell, and it's smaller, quicker defenders. Well, now it's like, well, how do we deal with smaller, quicker defenders? Let's get the running back to smash them in the face. That's where we're at. The bell cow is back. The bell cow is back. And, Ramondre, running back one. And, guys, dude, I've stopped sweating. It took this long, but I'm done, baby. No more sweat.
29:36Mike Wright:Shout out to the Van Buren. Dude, your AC is awesome. We have done a lot of live shows. He's never stopped sweating. Best air conditioning we've had. You ready for this? I know there are people in this building that are ready for this. The Bears. Oh, no. The Bears break out. Okay. What does that mean? By the way, Chicago, I know you've spent 100 years trying to discover the forward pass. I'm Jay Griss. I'm Jay Griss. I probably should have seen the Bears.
30:18Andy Holloway:He's down there in the shadows.
30:21Mike Wright:Give it up for Jay Griss.
30:22Andy Holloway:He's hiding. The Chicago Bears haven't been good since Martin Van Buren was in office. Yes.
30:29Mike Wright:No, the Bears, the pass has not been their forte. But I think this year they become good all at once. Everyone on the Bears. And let me tell you what that means. That means Loveland top three. That means Caleb, my guy, top five in fantasy. That means Burden. I know you like some Burden over there. Top ten. Top ten Luther Burden. Top ten Luther Burden. Swift, top 12. Yeah. Rome, top 20. Oh, come on, man. You could go top 15. But I'm going to make the case real quick for all those guys.
31:06Jason Moore:Top 15, Jason.
31:08Mike Wright:Top 50 for Rome.
31:10Jason Moore:Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got it. But also if he's top 15 and if all those. No, no, no. No one. No one's saying that except for you.
31:18Andy Holloway:And I won't stop.
31:19Mike Wright:But here's the case for the Bears fans who have waited their entire lives for moments like this. It is the bold prediction today. Caleb, I think he's mostly all the way there. In year one with Ben Johnson, he was just under 20 fantasy points a game. What I liked to see was he got better as the season got on. He learned the system. He got things going. There's a reason he was the my guy. I made all those cases on the show this week. But the fact the completion percentage was down, that's not really corollary to future fantasy success the next year predictive. He runs the football. I think he gets there.
31:51Mike Wright:Year one is, hey, learn the thing. Year two is Ben Johnson's like, let's do some cool crap now. So I think you're going to see it.
31:58Andy Holloway:That's how he says it too.
31:59Mike Wright:That's the quote. He loves cool crap. So, Caleb, I think we can get there. Loveland, top three, probably not the boldest of the predictions.
32:06Andy Holloway:No, that's about the easiest thing you've ever said.
32:08Mike Wright:But, I mean, you mentioned this the other day. First rookie to lead the team in receiving yards since 1983. Ditka, I think, was the last one to do it. Mike Ditka. So, I think Loveland can get there. He's crushing camp again. Ben Johnson loves him. We're good. So, let's get more bold. Burden. Top ten. Ben, do we have Luther Burden on any teams yet?
32:32Andy Holloway:Oh, man. There's a row of guys just arm crossed like, no, I don't.
32:38Mike Wright:No. No. I never will. No. Probably Packers fans. Ben Johnson's own words. I mean, we've quoted it. I'm buying Luther Burden stock right now. I'm calling that insider.
32:51Andy Holloway:Andy, I thought these were bold predictions.
32:53Mike Wright:Well, for you, they might not be. Not just saying what's going to happen. But that's insider trading to me. Ben Johnson knows what's going on. 25 % target share on 110 targets. I think he can get there. No more DJ Moore. He's in Buffalo. And last three games we saw Luther Burden, 18 for 289 and 3. I think he can get there. Swift, I mean, even Mike is saying good things about DeAndre Swift this year. That's crazy. But to me, it's just math. It's like a math equation for Swift. It seems like that's what it is for you, too. but it's like good offense, scoring opportunities, receiving work, enough carries, the math checks out.
33:32Mike Wright:And then the last one, Rome in the top 20. Jason, you'll be happy to hear this. He did lead the team in first read target share. I know that. His entire problem was that. Was the foot. That's it. He was hurt. It was the foot. It was injury. It was, you know, you started hot. Then Jason traded for him and ruined a season, which is what he did last time. It did feel like my journey. And I'll give you the Ben Johnson quote again because we like it. Whether it's hyperbolic or prophetic, TBD. I want to have the highest scoring offense ever.
34:07Andy Holloway:Yes.
34:08Mike Wright:And then he quoted the 2013 Denver Broncos, who scored 37.9 points a game, which, by the way, had the Peyton Manning with the touchdown. He wants to surpass them. By the way, that year Peyton was number one. No Sean Moreno. shout out to the Giants here. The RB4 that year. Demarius Thomas was the wide receiver one. Decker was the wide receiver nine. Welker was 20. They had three in the top 20 that year. Julius Thomas, fantasy legend, was the tight in three. I'm bought in. The Bears break out in 2026. All right. I think that was Jake.
34:49Jason Moore:Let's go Indiana. I think that was Jake. The Indiana Bears are breaking out. They needed to get out of Chicago. The Hammond Bears. Hammond Bears. 37:52Andy Holloway:I do. Yeah. Yeah, this is not all agreed upon. Everybody does. The promised ones. The year two running backs Disappoints in a major way Boo this man Boo Boo Boo Boo Your boos fuel me Makes me feel better about myself Gentey Hampton Scadaboo Judkins And My sweet sweet sweet Travion John Henderson. That's fine. You can hate all you want. Hate all the way to the bank where there will be no money left because the running backs are going to disappoint you at their ADP.
38:43Mike Wright:How does that make you feel, Jason?
38:44Jason Moore:Yeah, Jason, talk to me about this. I think some of these are correct. I think you are painting with a really, really big brush that makes no sense. Hampton's going to crush. It's not broad. It's big. But, you know, Gen Z scares the tar out of me right now. All right.
39:02Andy Holloway:Look, here's why this is a bold prediction. Year two running backs, it's normally a great bet. But here's the thing. So far, I'm not convinced. End of story. Look, in fantasy, these are the things we want. We want opportunity. We want someone who's at the top of the depth chart, the offensive system, the trends, the team's success. But what do they have to do to actually pay off for their draft cost? Ashton Gentry going still as the running back seven, despite, Owie, owie, owie, owie, owie, owie, please shut down practice. Everyone take a knee. It's me, Ashton Gentry.
39:44Mike Wright:The Paul Pierce.
39:46Andy Holloway:I might have popped my pants. Oh, I twisted my ankle. Get up, you baby. I got one guy on my side. Look, injury aside, he's being drafted at his ceiling. The rough – we've been over the schedule. It's terrible. The Raiders are currently favored in three of 17 games for the running back seven in the early second. We did this last year, everybody. Didn't work out. Hampton. Yeah, thank you. The hot Hampton. The hot Hampton. The hot Hampton. Hot Hampton and cheese. Stop into a New York deli, buy yourselves a Hot Hampton. It's delicious. It does sound like a sandwich. It really does. And look, I'm just, I'm the lowest because it's the Chargers.
40:33Andy Holloway:It's already happening.
40:35Mike Wright:The center, he's out. For not one moment this offseason have we got this man to believe in. No. Justin Herbert and Mike McDaniel. And I want y 'all to remember that. You know what I mean?
40:45Andy Holloway:Yes. He's going as the running back nine, just behind the gente. like he's being drafted at at his ceiling meanwhile chase brown ken bone walker being drafted after hampton guys on truly prolific offenses that we know i mean you just heard joe burrow's gonna break the record for for everything so why would you know not want chase brown cam scadaboo matt naggy need i say more for this man end of the argument quinshawn judkins on the Ice and Fire episode. He was my not-fire pick because, look, the offensive line, it's in shambles. You like your Cleveland starting quarterback, everybody? You like him?
41:30Andy Holloway:Too bad he's going to start for you. Enjoy that one, suckers. Mike is just attacking. Because these are bold. but this is the one like I went into my rankings and I looked at players versus ADP and I went oh I know what I have to do I have to I have to crap on these guys Henderson the ADP is terrifying Henderson of these players is actually he's great he's a really really good player except Mike Vrabel king of making really really good decisions with his personal life
42:07Jason Moore:Oh, get bodied. Oh, yes. This is like when the politician. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying you got to put the, you know, you're putting the dirt on. He's already in the green.
42:18Andy Holloway:You're telling me you can't just do like a visit to Sedona with your best friend? Don't even go down the road. Interlock fingers? Nothing going on there. But anyways, look. Even I understand what's going on in New England. They like Ramondre. They're going to go to him. You hear that, Jason? The beat reporters, they're very clear. Ramondre is ahead on the depth chart. Until week two. Until week two. Oh, yeah. That's right. Until week two.
42:52Jason Moore:Technically, until week three. It would be until week three. No, you don't predict injury. That is not condoned. I'm Babe Ruth in this thing. I'm calling my shot. Right there, baby. Week two. No, Jason, you have to point. Yeah, I guess it's more like down there.
43:06Andy Holloway:But here's the thing. Tanya Hardy. Is second-year running backs, it's supposed to replenish things for fantasy football, and every single one of them is being drafted extremely high because they should be. I'm just super scared that all of them are going to disappoint us for fantasy football. Boo. Yeah, it's okay. Hey, the thing is, we all have, you know.
43:34Jason Moore:I hope your boos are ready. There's positive bold predictions and there's negative bold predictions. They both are important for fantasy football. So I don't blame you in saying that. I see some of what you're saying. My only issue really is Hampton because I love him. Also, I would like to bring up something. Mr. Wright. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We are in the middle of a chopped draft on Sleeper. Sure. And with your first round pick. Chopped. With your first round pick. You selected a Marion Hampton. You liar!
44:10Jason Moore:Yes! Liar! Liar! Liar! Liar! Liar! All right. Okay. On to the next. I have a much more important prediction. I can't hear you. Oh, you can't? Well, then listen to this bold prediction. I predict that one of us will be enshrined in the Fantasy Footballers Hall of Fame tonight. No! What? No, no, no! This is my bit! Ladies and gentlemen, for years, the semi-prestigious fantasy footballer's ring of honor has recognized only those bold enough, those slightly above average enough, and those shameless enough to induct themselves. But tonight, the bar must be raised. After an exhaustive selection process conducted entirely by a committee of one, only one man has been deemed worthy of an honor greater than all those that came before him.
45:21Jason Moore:His lifetime achievements are far too extensive to list here this evening and largely irrelevant to this decision. Tonight, the Fantasy Footballers Hall of Fame is proud to welcome a husband, a father, a friend, and now a Hall of Famer. Ladies and gentlemen, please join us in celebrating as Jason Moore presents Jason Moore. For enshrinement as the first ever member of the Fantasy Footballers Hall of Fame. Congratulations, Jason.
46:05Andy Holloway:Jason Moore? The newest inductee to the Fantasy Footballers Hall of Fame?
46:14Andy Holloway:Wait, Jason is removing the tarp. Is that... Somebody grab that man a microphone.
46:26Oh.
46:30Jason Moore:Okay. Guys, I am blown away. This is a crazy honor I couldn't have seen coming. Thank you. You are a snake.
46:45Jason Moore:I'm not really prepared. Andy, did you know this was happening? I had no idea. I'm not really prepared for this. Excuse me. All right. speech speech speech speech speech i hate this i hate all of this okay first of all oh gosh i no no no i'd like to thank andy and mike with whom i couldn't be here i i really mean it guys okay you're a big part of this okay and i hope that one day you both are able to join me in the fantasy Footballers Hall of Fame. Hey, you have my vote.
47:28Andy Holloway:Wait, is this better than the Ring of Honor?
47:30Jason Moore:It is better than the Ring of Honor.
47:31Mike Wright:It's so much better! It's a step above Ring of Honor, which you are the only entry in.
47:35Jason Moore:Alright, I'm two times. I'm two times. I'd like to thank my family who has my heart and soul and are here to support me today. What is happening? I couldn't do this without you. I'm especially glad that my children are here for the first time so I can embarrass them by saying something like, see, I told you your dad was famous.
47:59Jason Moore:What is happening? And finally, I'd like to thank the Foot Clan, the undefeated, incomparable, beautiful, funny, sexy, strong, intelligent, emotionally available, financially solvent, perfectly hydrated, high credit scored, and suspiciously fertile Foot Clan.
48:28Jason Moore:Somehow, despite all of that, you're still willing and wanting to watch us three middle-aged dads argue about fantasy football like our lives depend on it. Foot Clan, this fake honor is for you!
48:45Andy Holloway:there's lights and everything
48:52okay okay where do we go from here okay he's got a jacket he has a bust that was
49:03Jason Moore:okay so unbearable okay so i've got to give a little bit more context here um
49:11Jason Moore:Okay, two days ago. What? Two days ago. Everybody on our team has been in on this like six months. Not everybody. No, not these guys. Two days ago, a really dumb NFL owner did what started this whole thing, and he decided to induct himself into his hall of fame.
49:34Andy Holloway:You don't even know how close I was to getting it a third time. No, you don't know because Andy had the idea, and he went to Jeremy,
49:41Jason Moore:and he said, hey, I want to induct myself into the Hall of Fame.
49:43Mike Wright:I was doing this on the Monday show, man.
49:45Jason Moore:And everybody in that bullpen who knew this bit was happening was like, oh, no. Is that why he wasn't quite as excited for it as I thought? Yeah, because he was scared out of his mind that you were going to wreck it. But I'm the first. Woo!
50:06Jason Moore:All right, back to the bold predictions. Oh, my God.
50:09Mike Wright:I hope you start sweating from that jacket.
50:11Jason Moore:I was earlier thinking, gosh, I got to put on a jacket later. Oh, my gosh.
50:17Andy Holloway:Andy, we have so many people to fire.
50:20Mike Wright:I know. I know. I'm building the list. All right. What just happened? Yeah. Yeah. He's got to. People like. Mike is laid out. I did not know this was happening.
50:33Jason Moore:All you had.
50:34Mike Wright:You just have on there.
50:35Jason Moore:Yeah, you just. Yeah.
50:36Mike Wright:You just have some honor.
50:37Jason Moore:He has fame. A little ring of honor. I'm a Hall of Famer. Anyways, as the first. How do you get back to the show from that? Well, we go with the Hall of Famers bold prediction, of course. I have nothing to hold up or wear. Here, you can hold on to this. You're going to love it. No. No. As the first Hall of Famer, I'd like my first bold prediction to be one of my classics. Oftentimes at live events, I have called the Fantasy Trap Team, I hate you. Yeah. Yes. That has done poorly. All the way back to 2016, the Carolina Panthers, the Washington Redskins. The next year, both of those teams collapsed.
51:19Mike Wright:You predict the demise fantasy-wise for certain teams. Yes. The way I can predict the demise of most of our employees after this event.
51:28Jason Moore:Exactly. Really good. The Cleveland Browns.
51:31Andy Holloway:Profits are up.
51:32Jason Moore:remember when Baker and OBJ as the Browns were the hotness? Yeah, yeah. That was my bust team that year. Oh, with Landry and that year? The 2022 Dallas Cowboys, the hotness. Zeke didn't finish as a top 15 running back. Dak got injured as bad. Now, I also did predict the 2018 Patriots, and they won the Super Bowl. Yeah, you said it was the beginning of the end. And they won the Super Bowl. So here's what I'm saying. Either I'm right, or they're going to win the Super Bowl. Or you're wrong. Yes, yes. It's pretty binary. My fantasy trap team this year is the Jacksonville Joy Killers. You're not going to like it.
52:10Jason Moore:You're not going to like it. But listen, I'm a Hall of Famer. You can't touch me now.
52:15Andy Holloway:Where did you get that jacket?
52:17Mike Wright:I don't want to know the answer to any of those questions. You're going to like the way I look. Because we paid. Mike, I guarantee it.
52:25Andy Holloway:There's no way men's warehouse did that jacket.
52:28Mike Wright:Mike, you know we paid for that jacket. No, no, no.
52:31Jason Moore:I did pay for this. Oh, personally. Oh, yeah. Okay.
52:34Mike Wright:It's better.
52:35Jason Moore:Yeah. So here's the thing. The Jacksonville Jaguars are a really exciting, fun, hot offense. Liam Cohen. Give me the Liam Cohen drop. Oh, yeah. I did hit it a couple times. Yeah, there you go. By the way, it worked. They're very, very exciting. You know, Trevor Lawrence, everything goes to him. So let's start there. Trevor Lawrence, I've talked about this. He's in line for some major, major regression. He's a horse boy. Way to take it down from joy and excitement. Dude, nothing can take it down from me. I don't know what you're talking about. I feel great. He had nine rushing touchdowns last year.
53:14Jason Moore:Four of those were the results of red zone scrambles, the most in the NFL. For context, Lamar Jackson hasn't done that in the last four years. Like, that is not repeatable. So if you take his rushing touchdowns away, you look at the backs, the hotness, baseball tootin, everybody wants him. He's being drafted as like, you know, a back-end RB2 because a good offense. What's the conversation between Parker Washington and Brian Thomas Jr.? Which one? Which one? How about maybe neither? Do you realize that Jacoby Myers out-targeted Parker Washington 61-51 after the trade to Jacksonville? He's still there.
53:53Jason Moore:Oh, and then you've got Travis Hunter, who, while he himself is not playable for fantasy, he's going to be on the field. He's going to have targets. He's going to have touchdowns. Those will come at the expense. And don't forget Brenton Strange, who was on pace for 85 targets last year. If Trevor Lawrence Horseboy does not rush for nine touchdowns, and all of these good wide receivers are involved, there is a very good chance that pretty much everybody on this team disappoints. And I know that, you know, Mike, you like Tootin the way that I like Hampton.
54:29Andy Holloway:I'm not even listening to you.
54:31Jason Moore:But the truth is, Crod is very possibly a goal linebacker. Quint Allen might be a passing downs back. And I just think that this team could actually be good, could work for the NFL offense, and I think there's a solid to really good chance that every single pick, you're just not happy to play week in and week out. That sucks. Yeah.
54:57Mike Wright:Because Jacksonville should be awesome. Jacksonville should be awesome. But there is a chance that there's just too many cooks in the kitchen.
55:01Jason Moore:But what I'm saying is I think they can be awesome and those players can be bad for fantasy at the same time.
55:07Mike Wright:It's been an interesting hype ride for Tootin all offseason. The up and down and all around. Mike, you were all the way in. Seemed like a my guy was on the way. Yeah. And you softened a little bit.
55:17Andy Holloway:Yeah.
55:18Jason Moore:Jason, you're dumb. He's not recovering. Please address me as Hall of Famer Jason Moore. I'm.
55:27Andy Holloway:Rules are rules, Mike. People don't understand. I'm not doing a bit. Yes. We had zero clue.
55:35Mike Wright:I'm so mad about this. He's so mad. You want to hear one more on the positive side? Yeah, we got one more. I think it's positive. We're in Arizona. uh-oh things are tough out here uh-oh things are tough out here in the streets of Arizona for this team and I am here today on this beautiful evening to tell you what shouldn't be a statement that is bold at all and yet feels like the most bold take of all time.
56:08Jason Moore:It feels like the most bold take of this day
56:09Mike Wright:Marvin Harrison Jr. is finally good
56:17Mike Wright:He's good. He's good at football. He's going to be good. Top 15 fantasy wide receiver. Leads Arizona in fantasy points. And the entire state of Arizona collectively. Did you say top 15? Top 15. The whole state of Arizona unclenches their butt cheeks because he's good.
56:44Mike Wright:it's happening this year and i want everybody in the building to remember this moment and if you've listened to the show the entire off season you know we have no interest in saying something good about this team we we hate this team most often they're not a serious organization we want to love but we can't become vulnerable because we know what the outcome is going to be that might be true it is the worst to win that's not the game that we play they have the worst schedule i've ever seen in my entire life 0 and 11 seems guaranteed but marvin harrison jr this year for fantasy finally good here's the story of Maserati Marv 62 for 8 85 and 8 as a rookie it wasn't bad for a rookie season
57:36Andy Holloway:last year
57:39Mike Wright:absolutely weird played 12 games went 41 for 608 and 4 these numbers through 2 years are not the worst NFL numbers you've ever seen they are absolutely horrific for a 4th overall pick generational prospect son of Marvin Harrison. Those are the worst numbers that that type of person that his son could be putting up. But here's what was weird about last year. You had a concussion. You had appendicitis. You had a foot injury. You had a quarterback change. You had a coaching change. And at some point, that is not a season. That is a game of Oregon Trail. That is a season riddled with dysentery. your season was ruined they tried to fjord they tried to fjord the river oh never tried you lost three oxen you made me say fjord um and guess what seventh round pick seventh round pick for marvin harrison jr in games where he was actually healthy with jacoby this is where you gotta you gotta let the burns go you can't like carry last season into this year, into your draft.
58:49Mike Wright:8.8 targets per game for Marvin Harrison. 14.4 PPR points per game. And whenever he gets seven or more targets, he's been at nearly 17 fantasy points a game. And what happened when Wilson, McBride, and Harrison were together? I know it was brief. I know it was a moment in time. He led the team target share ahead of Trey McBride. Like, I think the thing out there is the expectations were so unconscionably high and for good reason. You should not go number four and be at this point in your career without breaking records and being great for fans. You still can't handle his jacket, can you? What about this?
59:26Mike Wright:I love him.
59:29Jason Moore:You're handsome. Where did you even get that, Etsy?
59:41Mike Wright:Marvin. You guys did pay for that. We did pay for that one.
59:44Jason Moore:Yeah, that one you did.
59:45Mike Wright:Yeah, he bought the jacket. I bought the jacket. I wasn't telling a lot. I had a feeling we paid for something. We paid in a lot of ways. But to close it out, I think Marvin Harrison Jr. will actually be good. And a final point there, Mike LaFleur in Arizona, great play caller. And what he did with Devontae Adams, with the Rams, 14 touchdowns in 14 games, he can use a big, talented goal line receiver. If you're in drafts coming up this weekend and next weekend, the price is nice for Marvin Harrison Jr. He is going to be actually, mercifully, incredibly wonderfully, finally good. Marvin Harrison Jr.
1:00:25Andy Holloway:He's going to be okay.
1:00:29Mike Wright:So those are our bold predictions, but that doesn't mean the show's over because we have 800-foot clan in the building. We have a mailbag drop about to happen. And y 'all got to help us out with this. We have your questions coming up. I want to hear the greatest mailbag we've heard for any live show we've ever done. In honor of Hall of Famer.
1:00:50Andy Holloway:Hall of Famer Jason Moore. Are you guys ready? Yeah, let's go, 9-9.
1:00:59Jason Moore:Let's do it. Hit it, Jeremy.
1:01:05Jason Moore:Mailbag. Let's go. That was a good one. That was very good. That was very good. I feel like you were on tone and everything. We got the recliner people stood up.
1:01:20Mike Wright:Today's mailbag is sponsored by our friends who helped put on this show, GMC. We've got questions from each and every one of you out there. Thank you to everybody that sent them in. We picked some out. If I say your name and you want to shout and not lie about it, that's cool. But our first question comes in from Earl Snyder. Is Earl somewhere in the building?
1:01:41Jason Moore:No. Was that Earl? That's not Earl Snyder.
1:01:46Mike Wright:Earl. He says this. He says, can you give my friend Nick a recommendation for the fourth pick in a draft we have on Sunday? He's a big fan. We're here in Phoenix for his bachelor party.
1:01:57Andy Holloway:Okay. Nice.
1:01:59Jason Moore:Okay.
1:01:59Mike Wright:Congratulations, friend of Earl. That's a good bachelor party.
1:02:02Jason Moore:I think this is – so obviously you're going to go B. John and Gibbs are usually gone. So now it comes down to – and I'm curious Mike's take as Mr. CMC over the last little bit. Right, right. I would go Jamar Chase, and if he's gone, I'd go JSN. But would you take –
1:02:19Mike Wright:So no Puka there for you.
1:02:21Jason Moore:Right now – Too nervous. I would take the other two over Puka.
1:02:24Andy Holloway:McCaffrey doesn't bite people.
1:02:26Jason Moore:Well, neither does Jamar Chase and JSN.
1:02:29Andy Holloway:Jamar's not going to be there.
1:02:30Jason Moore:No, no, no. But, I mean, it's at four. So if someone takes JSN ahead or Puga ahead, I would take Jamar Chase. But assuming he's gone, it would be JSN for me.
1:02:39Mike Wright:What if you don't want to take a wide receiver? Because it seems like those are the next guys up. So is it CMC? Is it Jonathan Taylor? Is it James Cook, who you said is going to get 350-plus opportunities?
1:02:48Jason Moore:To be fair, I said all three of them would. Yeah.
1:02:50Mike Wright:Oh, that's true.
1:02:51Andy Holloway:They are all in that group. No, you're not playing for fifth place. You're trying to win. So I would take Christian McCaffrey.
1:02:57Mike Wright:Okay. All right. We appreciate that question. Lara Oven? Lara Oven? Oven? Lara Oven? It's spelled Oven. It does. It's Lara Oven. She wants to know, do your wives play fantasy football?
1:03:18Mike Wright:No. And would you ever play in a league with them? We tried once. And what would happen if they beat you? I was... Woo!
1:03:29Andy Holloway:Man, Laura Oven, you're funny. I had one year where I was able to get my wife to do a league. About week three.
1:03:40Mike Wright:They are in the building somewhere.
1:03:42Andy Holloway:Our wives are in the building. Give it up for our wives, everybody. Yes, hello. Thank you. Thank you. They let us chase this ridiculous dream, but they do not participate in it. Someone is now married to a Hall of Famer. Congratulations. Congratulations. That's a pretty big deal. Oh, my goodness. It's probably the best thing that's ever happened to her.
1:04:01Mike Wright:Yeah. Yeah. We did give it a go. We had a wives league that was going on for all of us season. Yeah.
1:04:07Andy Holloway:They don't play. This is, if my calculations are correct, the fourth fantasy footballers my wife has ever heard. Oh, like episodes? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Were they the four live shows? Out of 1 ,960.
1:04:23Mike Wright:So were they all four live? Were all four of them live? Yeah. Yeah. Thank you for that one. Tom Wintermeyer.
1:04:33Jason Moore:Tom, you sound like a girl. And that's fine, you know. Yeah. But I'm just calling out to see it. I've been told I laugh like a girl. You do, and that's fine. I just, you know, let you know.
1:04:45Mike Wright:Keeper question in the building here. Am I crazy to keep Tray McBride over the aforementioned Chase Brown?
1:04:53Andy Holloway:No, that's not crazy at all. That's not crazy. I would still take Chase Brown in that situation, but it's not crazy.
1:05:00Mike Wright:Yeah, I completely – I feel like you, of all people this year, have not been one to go back to the Trey McBride. Like, you just think what happened last year with the amount of Jacoby Brissett on pace for 700 passes in a year is just – it's what made McBride great.
1:05:18Andy Holloway:No, no, no, no, no. That's not what made McBride great. Like average players put in that situation can't do that. You have to be a great player when the situation reveals itself to you. You have to be great to actually take the mantle and accept the call like Trey McBride did. I just don't think that he's going to – I don't think he'll lap the field like he did. He'll still be – he'll be a top three tight end. But you think the value on Loveland's better? Yes. Yeah. All right. It's Mr. Loveland. Mr. Loveland. Mr. Love Land.
1:05:53Mike Wright:Andy Painter sent in this question. Okay, I might believe that that's him. That's my man. Is it fair to have somebody else draft your team in a money league my buddy wants me to fill in for him after I drafted for another guy in his league last year? Is this like a pro ball? Like every year he's getting hired to do this?
1:06:15Jason Moore:Whoa, why are people booing this? That's so weird that that's emotional for people. It really is. To me, I don't have a problem with it. Like, honestly. Really? Well, here's the thing. If you, let's say you can't be at a draft, right? I can't make it to the draft. We would usually say you need a proxy. You either submit rankings or you have someone fill in for you. So if we're okay with it, then.
1:06:39Mike Wright:I think the weird thing is that he drafted for somebody else in the same league last year. Maybe not a neutral opinion. Well, you can't draft for both this year. No, but. Or can he? Or can he? I mean.
1:06:52Jason Moore:I don't have a problem with it. Do you guys? Obviously, the audience has a huge problem with it.
1:06:56Andy Holloway:What do we think? I'm a man of the people. So, yeah. Yeah, that sucks. Coward. What a terrible thing. Team auto draft.
1:07:07Mike Wright:Andy Painter, you dog. Savage. People are just yelling out like league formats and auto draft. Redraft. Yeah, some guy's like, chili! Cameron Rodriguez, my son Cruz, is 10 years old. Hey! Starting to show interest in fantasy football. I'd really like it to become something we share together. That's awesome. That's great. What's the best way to introduce him into fantasy without overwhelming him? Would crush him, kick his butt. Would you give him his own team, co-manage one together, start a small family league, something else? What do you think?
1:07:45Andy Holloway:other than crush him. Yes, yes.
1:07:47Mike Wright:Maybe something more constructive.
1:07:50Andy Holloway:Look, you can't give him the win. We know that. But I think the small family league is – I like that one.
1:08:01Mike Wright:I think co-manager is awesome.
1:08:04Andy Holloway:Yeah, the thing with the family league is you have to have enough people to do it. So if you have other parents with other kids who are starting to get interested in football and in fantasy football. I think that's a fantastic way to go. Otherwise, the co-manage is fantastic. Andy, you're co-managed with one of your boys.
1:08:22Mike Wright:Yeah, he comes to me to our League of Record draft, and he was one of the Sharks back here, by the way. Yes, he was. His problem was the first league he was in with a bunch of people, he won it. Oh, so he's hooked. Everything has been downhill since then. So, set your expectations.
1:08:39Jason Moore:The only other piece of advice I would say is if he's starting to get into it, You know, there's sometimes a learning curve. If you're just starting, you don't know the players. You don't know everything. So either they play Madden or they listen to the fantasy football. Oh, that's not a bad idea.
1:08:54Mike Wright:The only podcast with one Ring of Honor member and one Hall of Fame member on it.
1:09:00Jason Moore:One two time. One two. Yeah. Thank you, Mike.
1:09:03Mike Wright:Two times. You elected yourself twice. Yes, he did. I almost wiped my memory of that. I didn't. And by the way, I mean, I think both of your inductions, while ridiculous and stupid, were fair because Arthur Blank did it and then Lurie did it. Yeah. And now I'm going to have to wait for another owner to put themselves in their own Hall of Fame.
1:09:26Andy Holloway:Jason, imagine not being in the ring of Hall of Fame.
1:09:29Mike Wright:Yeah. Jerry Jones will hook me up. I'll be in before you know it. Zach Feltz writes in. Zach? Zach?
1:09:38Andy Holloway:Yeah.
1:09:39Mike Wright:But it feels like there's been more emphasis lately on stacking a wide receiver with the quarterback. Is stacking something we should be targeting in redraft, or is it more of a tournament strategy?
1:09:50Jason Moore:So it is definitely more of a tournament strategy. When you're in big tournaments, you really need to win in the final week. It's very valuable to have the wide receiver that caught two touchdowns that week. You get the quarterback obviously went nuclear and and you can beat massive amounts of people. It is also a winning strategy in redraft leagues. We did a study a couple of years ago. One of our disorbos, our computer nerds, did it to to try to see, like, does it also apply to redraft? And when he looked at basically having a stack that that was relevant, what is that? I don't know. Everybody going.
1:10:30Jason Moore:I don't know what is happening. having a stack that is relevant versus an average oh are we laughing at the there's so many things to laugh about right now
1:10:41Andy Holloway:so handful bro your bronze bus needs braces
1:10:47Jason Moore:oh yeah a little bit but it does give a slight edge to wins versus losses because again in order to win each week like if you're just scoring an average slightly above league average that doesn't actually usually give you a W. You kind of need the variance where you have a high weekly score, and that happens more on stack.
1:11:08Mike Wright:By the way, Al Borland just informed us. Yes. Is Cruz the 10-year-old from the last question, are they in the building? Because Al has a special Foot Clan ring for you. You can see him after the show if he's in the building. Wait, wait, Cameron, did you make up Cruz just to get your question in here?
1:11:28Jason Moore:Cameron, you don't have a son, do you?
1:11:32Mike Wright:shame on you asking for my son um there you go so turner writing in turner morris
1:11:41Andy Holloway:come on what is happening people don't want there we go have you individually he was
1:11:49Mike Wright:who am i um have you ever individually wondered what you would be doing currently if podcasting wasn't possible and that's job different entrepreneurship Bull riding, Mike? Bull riding, probably not. Probably not. You get motion sick. Maybe. That's the biggest problem. With bull riding, it's motion sick.
1:12:09Andy Holloway:If you have motion sickness, how does bull riding work?
1:12:13Jason Moore:Not well. Not good. Not well. No. I think Andy and I would still be doing real estate, which we did for about two weeks.
1:12:20Mike Wright:Yeah. We literally tried to become real estate agents while we started the podcast. We would have crushed. And that was a great two houses we sold. Yeah. We did do it.
1:12:32Jason Moore:Mike would be a musician somewhere, a rock star. I'd probably just have a sign that's like, please, help me.
1:12:40Mike Wright:Money, please.
1:12:45Mike Wright:It's a grift. I think the coolest thing is that when we were kids, we couldn't have wanted to grow up and be podcasters. No. That didn't exist. I think about it with my kids. Some careers exist in the future that don't exist now that they might be good at, and that stuff changes quick so i'm glad i don't have to think about this we've been fortunate no we're thanks to these people these fine beautiful beautiful human beings that was today's mailbag brought to you by gmc we are professional grade like i said we're gonna hang out the van buren has been uh kind enough to give us some extra time at the end yes uh we're gonna get pumped up here in a minute but at the uh we're gonna come back out here we're gonna pass around microphones.
1:13:28Mike Wright:You can ask us anything you want. We're going to do a little AMA for 15-20 minutes to give you some bonus time here in Phoenix. You monsters, let's keep it clean. Yeah, I'm a little more scared now than I was at the beginning of the show. But I want to hear it for Sirius XM for helping us put this live show together.
1:13:45Andy Holloway:We wouldn't be here if it weren't for them.
1:13:47Mike Wright:I want to hear it for GMC and PetSmart for helping us put on this live show. I want to hear it for Al Borland. Yeah, the crew! Literally the best. But the entire crew, Papa Josh. Papa Josh! The whole crew is here, almost all of them. And an applause for yourself, the Foot Clan, the people. We're going to give out some more free stuff. We're going to take a two-second break and we'll be back out here for the AMA. Thank you, guys. And that's the end.
1:14:36We'll be right back.
