In short

The Fantasy Footballers (Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, Mike Wright) discuss August fantasy prep and run a top-10 QB rankings countdown for 4-point-per-passing-TD leagues (as of Aug 4). They also introduce “Performance Climbers” (GMC) and highlight rising ADP players.

Guests

none. The episode features only the three hosts.

Key claims and notable examples

  • Isaiah Likely rising: moved up to around TE11/ADP interest; argued he could be the clear No.2 target behind Malik Nabers, with a featured-role path if the offense has fewer targets (Wandale gone, Neighbors acclimating). Contract detail: Likely signed a 3-year, $40M deal with $26M guaranteed; cited 12.5 PPG with no Mark Andrews.
  • Parker Washington rising: camp/practice reports suggest he’s Trevor Lawrence’s top target; cited Week 9-onward production (WR11) and 71 yards/game last year; concern that Travis Hunter could limit weekly WR3-type usage.
  • Tyler Shuck rising: late-round QB18-ish; argued he has a rushing baseline and could be a “free” second QB option.
  • Big-money contract news: B.J. Robinson up to $75M/$51M guaranteed; Zay Flowers $140M/$108M guaranteed; discussed how this may clarify roles (e.g., Jameer Gibbs holdout).
  • Injury news: multiple practice absences (Mike Evans quad strength; Kalen Blatt groin; hamstring issues for Devonta Smith and Makai Lemon; others).
  • QB rankings highlights: Dak Prescott #10 (discounted potential top-10); Caleb Williams #9 (high upside but accuracy/consistency concerns); Trevor Lawrence #8 (rushing TD baseline); Jackson Dart #7 (high upside but Matt Nagy fit and injury risk); Drake Maye #6 (elite tools, tougher schedule); Joe Burrow #5 (healthy, strong weapons, easy WR schedule); Jalen Hurts #4 (least productive season since rookie year; AJ Brown departure).

1:13Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.

1:30Mike Wright:Welcome in.

1:37Mike Wright:The fantasy footballer. The. The. I don't know. The people, Mike, they know. They can tell that it's football time is coming. Cool. It's coming closer, Mike. It's percolating. Not that you'll throw one out there for the Hall of Fame game with our Arizona Cardinals.

2:00Jason Moore:I did wonder about that this morning. I was like, there is football, but does it? I don't know. Stay tuned. You know how stupid I am? Yeah. Yeah, we do. Okay.

2:12Mike Wright:That's all.

2:13Jason Moore:How stupid are you?

2:16Mike Wright:I'm stupid enough to not realize that the Hall of Fame game is always between two teams.

2:21Jason Moore:Really?

2:22Mike Wright:Okay. That's not the end of the sentence?

2:25Jason Moore:That's very stupid. I see how dumb you are.

2:28Mike Wright:that have players going into the Hall of Fame. I didn't realize that we had the chance to visit the Hall of Fame, and Luke Keekly and Larry Fitzgerald are two of five players going into the Hall of Fame, and the Panthers are playing the Cardinals. That's how dumb I am. I just thought that they were just randomly chosen teams. I don't blame you on that. I didn't realize that either. Matt, because you just learned it just now.

2:53Jason Moore:I didn't realize it because I didn't care. you know like why why do i do i do kind of like like maybe it was just you know like luke keekly

3:02Mike Wright:we got to watch him play larry the goat my favorite player of all time if you told me that

3:09Jason Moore:every year like like uh like thanksgiving well every year it's the lions and someone else i would have believed you i'd be like cool i don't care uh the it's a high school game like

3:21Mike Wright:But maybe Cardinals playing for the honor of Larry, and then the Panthers playing for the honor of Keekly. Maybe there's more gravity to it now.

3:30Andy Holloway:Just two incredible teams.

3:31Mike Wright:Well, Kenny Pickett's going to start.

3:33Andy Holloway:Kenny Pickett is the starter. Baby hands. Oh, man. So, I mean, look. The hands memes have been very strong.

3:41Mike Wright:AI's very powerful when it comes to accentuating someone's physical problems.

3:46Andy Holloway:Man, how long until we speak only in memes?

3:52Mike Wright:It's not far off. And it's going to be the downfall of society.

3:56Andy Holloway:I mean, we all started hieroglyphics, drawings, and we're like, now we're sophisticated with our language, and now we're like, smiley face, fart cloud. Memes do say something that words can't say. Yes, they do.

4:13Jason Moore:You can feel the emotion. I try to only respond in GIFs. But not for me.

4:21Mike Wright:Yeah, it's...

4:22Andy Holloway:No, it really does. And frequently we text each other. I mean, it's full on the Key and Peele sketch when they're texting each other. And it's just something that's lost in translation of just words. Right. But when you send the meme or the gif, it's like... No, I don't. I know exactly. Nice. I hear you. Yeah.

4:41Mike Wright:Nothing is mistaken. Does that mean that we have just become very bad at using words to convey what we want to say? Because I think that's what we just said. We're not good at the words.

4:53Jason Moore:I think we've grown even beyond just words.

4:57Andy Holloway:Well, we have a great show today. Speaking of memes, it's the bell curve meme where everyone's dumb and then you get to the end and you're back where you started.

5:05Mike Wright:Look, Cardinals, Panthers, our first kind of football game is coming. And then before you know it, Mike will be screaming out. It's football time once a week. And we will be in the season, and you will be on your way to a fantasy title. And I'm excited. We've got a new segment today. We've got news to talk about. We have a quarterback rankings countdown episode. It is August, boys, which means the Ultimate Draft Kit is out right now. The big headline this year, thousands of you have used this product over the last 12 years. the mock draft tool for the very first time is live in the udk so we've never had a mock draft tool native to the ultimate draft kit it is there right now on mobile it is coming to the web very soon it is a beta product we've added keeper support there's a lot of amazing tools and resources but i don't want to bury all of the other things that are part of the udk 100 plus player profiles sleepers breakouts busts and values are consensus picks for those you've got the ability to to go through and mark you know players inside the udk in the mobile app on the web so you're prepared for your draft so you don't forget the guys later that are important yeah this is uh this is like setting the foundation for your entire season right here is getting the draft right a lot of you have mini drafts over the course of um you know the the entire month of august and into september sounded sounded like very tiny drafts like miniature drafts that's what

6:30Jason Moore:I was just talking. It's like, some of you have mini drafts. That's basically a mock draft. So we've got a new mini draft tool. Do you say those words differently?

6:36Mike Wright:Like many, many, many? Yeah.

6:40Jason Moore:There's different letters and stuff. Many?

6:43Andy Holloway:What's the problem here?

6:45Mike Wright:You missed. He thought I said miniature drafts. Oh. Like mini drafts. No. Which maybe you do. Maybe you have some small six-team leagues. A six-team league is a mini draft. Anyways. Many. We support large, regular-sized, and miniature drafts with the UDK. That's Ultimate. See what I say? Manny. It's over. Just use a meme. UltimateDraftKit.com.

7:09Andy Holloway:It sounds like M-E-N-Y, Manny.

7:12Mike Wright:Mike, be quiet. My mind is broken, man. Shush a bye. It's too early. We've got a new segment we've got to jump into.

7:26Mike Wright:Performance Climbers, presented by GMC.

7:29Jason Moore:Yeah.

Read the full transcript

7:31Mike Wright:That was awesome. We have a brand new segment, and we are talking through

7:35Jason Moore:All the way to the top!

7:36Mike Wright:a number of players that are rising in ADP. And what we think about that rise, whether the value is still there, where you think they're going to end up on draft day. So I've got three names to talk about, but I will say, very excited about the segment, one. Two, very proud of what you did with the music there. Thank you. Playing in with the climbers, because it was climbing. That was great. All right. Isaiah likely has moved up a round in the last couple of months. Isaiah likely, I am finding I've raised him in my rankings a couple of times in the last couple of months. There is a lot of talk about him having a featured role in the offense.

8:17Mike Wright:familiarity with the head coach i don't view malik neighbors as a reason like his health if he's back a little sooner than we think which it seems like is the case i don't necessarily view that as like some negative for isaiah likely it's better for the offense as a whole there aren't a ton of targets in this offense wandale is gone malik neighbors is acclimating i i find myself more and more interested in isaiah likely right now he's still an 11th round pick he's moved up in the interest and in the ADP charts, signed the big contract, three-year,$40 million deal,$26 million guaranteed. He's been a 12.5-point-per-game player with no Mark Andrews.

8:59Mike Wright:You know, the Giants reports. I mean, Connor Hughes talked about them featuring him alongside neighbors. Are you – like this is the discussion we had yesterday about Travis Kelsey as a likely, I'd rather take the shot on the up-and-coming player. Are you on board with Isaiah Likely?

9:16Jason Moore:A lot of things make sense here. We talk about in order for a tight end to really, truly be impactful for fantasy, if they're not scoring double-digit touchdowns, they pretty much have to be the number one or number two target in their offense. Most of these guys, even when we look at some of the players that we really like, like Colson Loveland, it's possible he's third. Here with Isaiah Likely, there's a clear one in Malik Nabors, and then there is a wide open, you have the total opportunity to be the number two target. He's 26 years old, and we've seen plenty of times in history where a tight end changing teams go into that second contract.

9:55Jason Moore:That's when they become more fantasy. Delaney Walker style here? Delaney Walker, Greg Olson, Evan Ingram. I mean, we've got examples of where a guy changes teams at the tight end position, middle of their career, and they become more fantasy relevant. I personally struggle with Isaiah Likely because I've had him in Dynasty, and I've waited, and I've waited, and I've been disappointed every single year, and I feel like there's some palm leaves that I do not want to walk on. Oh, like a little jungle trap. There might be a hole. You've got a punchy pit. Yeah. I don't want to fall for the trap again, man.

10:31Jason Moore:I don't know if Isaiah Likely is good enough.

10:34Andy Holloway:Oh, I think he's great. what's hard about it Jay we've seen these guys change teams have we seen this is a question I don't know because this would be a factoid have we seen a tight end change teams to the exact same head coach who last year told us that that player would be a pro bowler and the answer to that was the other guy on the team got an extension I will say this

11:01Mike Wright:to excuse away some of that conversation like he got disrupted instantaneously i mean i say i likely didn't play the first three weeks of the season he wasn't playing um you know he missed his opportunity to kind of have that breakout i just know what i see on the field a hyper athletic talented move tight end that has the capability of being a red zone target that was a constant you know he went up and got balls in the back of the end zone for lamar jackson i find myself more excited look what is excitement for Isaiah Likely. He's moved from the tight end 21 to 17. So we're not talking about, and he's a late round tight end option.

11:39Mike Wright:If Jason somehow, and this won't happen, but just hypothetically, if Jason misses out on Sam Laporta, I get it. It won't happen. Right. He's mine. But if it happens to me, this is another player that you can look at later in the draft that excites me a lot more than Dalton Schultz.

11:54Andy Holloway:Yes. I'm, I am with you. Uh, like I'm not planning any of my team structure around Isaiah Likely. You know, where last year we had, when Loveland and Warren were rookies, I was very okay missing on one of the elite tight ends because I'm like, these guys are late and they seem like we are, we're pretty sure that that player's going to hit. ADP says that we're not 100 % sure Likely is going to hit, but if you miss out on the elite guys, which I'm with Jason, that's my strategy this year. I want one of them. But after that, you know, it's like Ferguson, who he needs an injury in front of him. Gadsden, news has not been good.

12:40Mike Wright:I mean, range of outcomes on Gadsden. There has been a lack of news.

12:45Andy Holloway:And then it's like Mark Andrews, what does he have left? That's a great one.

12:50Mike Wright:Andrews v. likely.

12:52Andy Holloway:Yeah, so at that point. That one is a great thought process.

12:56Jason Moore:Upside is on the likely side.

12:59Andy Holloway:I'm fine with this as long as we don't get out of control.

13:02Jason Moore:And it's worth noting, Mike and I were in New York a couple weekends ago interviewing Jackson Dart and Cam Scadaboo, and we asked Dart, like, you know, Wondale's gone, Malik is coming back, who's the first target to, who are you looking at? And the name he brought up was likely.

13:20Mike Wright:Parker Washington, wide receiver for Jacksonville. The headlines the last few days have been Travis Hunter centered. We had early offseason Brian Thomas Jr. We got a contract for Brenton Strange. I mean, they have a lot of pass-catching targets, but Parker Washington has been oftentimes the favorite in camp so far for Trevor Lawrence. He has moved up around in the last several months. He's an eighth-round pick. He averaged 71 yards a game, was the wide receiver 11 from week 9 on last year. no Travis Hunter in that spell. I mean, again, this is what's ironic about these two players so far, and maybe all three, the film says more than, you know, a season-long set of numbers for these guys because they've either been injured, not involved.

14:13Mike Wright:But I thought the film on Parker Washington was outstanding. This looked like a player that was going to be an impact player, but I don't know if there's enough to go around to where I'm going to be sitting week in, week out, going Parker Washington's more wide receiver three, to start him this week. I think you can always start him, but you've got to cross your fingers and be like, is this the week that he's the most involved player? I know, Jason, let's turn it over to you. You have been rising on Parker Washington.

14:39Jason Moore:Yeah, I flipped. I went into the offseason, Brian Thomas Jr. ahead of Parker Washington, just because of the talent, the upside. We obviously saw the breakout rookie season, the fact that he's used downfield, but everything that we had with Brian Thomas that was great was not with Trevor Lawrence. And with Trevor Lawrence, we've seen a real connection to Parker Washington. And what's happened this offseason is it's really – I don't love moving players based on quotes and stuff, and that is what's happened here, so full disclosure. But it's the type of quotes that are coming out that are talking about when Trevor Lawrence talks about his wide receivers and he talks about Parker Washington and he talks about Brian Thomas Jr.

15:24Jason Moore:he talks about Parker Washington like he is the best wide receiver in the league everything he does is good at he's always creating separation he's quick off the line he's a perfect route runner and then it's like well what about Brian Thomas Jr he's fast, one word, fast and it's like then you watch some of the other you look at Jacoby Myers and Brian Thomas talk about like they're trying to beat each other in they're trying to be the first one in the building the last one out but they're like well we're not competing with Parker he's always here first

15:53Mike Wright:The quote from John Shipley from Sports Illustrated, Washington has routinely been the top target for Trevor Lawrence in practice during training camp. It's easy to see why. Catching everything thrown in his direction. Consistent separation. Grant Udinski said, I certainly don't want to take it for granted that we have a player of this capacity. When the ball's in the air, I have the utmost confidence he's going to come down with it. And superlatives and superlatives.

16:13Jason Moore:We saw it. After the bye week last year, an entire half of the season, nine games, he averaged 12 fantasy points per game. He was on pace for 1 ,200 receiving yards. 77 receptions like we've seen him on this team with this quarterback succeed in that role so it's like why are you know and that was how they finished the season and now everything in camp says it's continuing so I'm just believing what we saw at the end of last year I have definitely

16:37Andy Holloway:risen in my rankings I the whole Jacksonville wide receiver situation is is tough as you know a foundation I think that is strong for fantasy football advice is follow the actions of of the team and the management, what do they say? They're paying everybody but Parker Washington.

16:56Mike Wright:Well, that is their priority according to the team, but they haven't paid him yet.

17:00Andy Holloway:If a Parker Washington contract came in, it would really change things. I'm not opposed to the idea that Parker Washington, maybe he is the best. That is certainly a thing that can happen, but you trade for Jacoby, you extend him at the end of last year, you give Strange all that money, and now all this Travis Hunter stuff. I was going to bring up the contract. If you got news of the contract, solidify it for you? Yes, it would go from this more nebulous, abstract cloud that I feel like we're reaching into and hoping you get the right guy.

17:39Mike Wright:Yeah.

17:41Jason Moore:Because, dude, money talks. Travis Hunter is the biggest. To me, you look at after the bye week last year where he was on pace for 1 ,200 yards, That was exactly the time that Travis Hunter went down. So you can make the argument that it was Travis Hunter being gone is the only reason Parker Washington got the extra play and was playing 80 % of snaps. Can he do it? Yes. Can Michael Wilson do it? Yes. Will that be their role? That's the real question. And Travis Hunter, while he is not going to play enough snaps on offense to be himself a weekly starter, he is going to play enough snaps on offense to potentially just ruin everybody not named Trevor Lawrence for the Jags.

18:22Jason Moore:That's my biggest worry.

18:23Mike Wright:Tyler Shuck, another quarterback that has moved up the ranks. We know what Mike thinks about Tyler Shuck. We know what Jason thinks about their wideouts. I don't necessarily agree. Jason put his wideout tears up on Twitter. Oh, yeah. You did. I missed it. I think you mostly nailed it. I disagree on a couple of them. There were a few. Like Jefferson and Addison being in a different tier than Amonra and Jameson. I didn't agree with that at all.

18:52Jason Moore:I will correct my mistake. That was an unintentional mental quarterback punishment, putting those guys below the Lions. The other two that got flack on there was how high I have Jordan Tyson and Chris Olave and Roma Dunze and Nate here. I thought we were friends, Jason.

19:14Mike Wright:What, you want S-tier, Mike, for a guy that's never played a snap in the NFL? That's not appropriate. That's inappropriate.

19:20Jason Moore:I think what I put up was very appropriate. I mean. I think you hedged.

19:24Mike Wright:I think you got scared. Byrd, Nadunze, Olave, Tyson are TBDs on how good they'll be. Now, you could argue the way you rank. I mean, potential versus performance. If you're ranking based on what you think their potential is, that's fine. But you can't base it on performance yet.

19:41Jason Moore:Well, of course you can't with a rookie. I mean, you have to project. It's impossible not to.

19:47Mike Wright:Yeah, yeah. But I think most people, when they talk about the talent level on a team, it's oftentimes what you've seen versus what they might be able to do. The only other one I thought was kind of wild, you put Rashi Rice in the uninspiring category. That seemed a little low to me. I loved it. Okay. What are we doing here? Just entertainment. All right, Tyler Shuck has moved up three or four rounds. Um, but he's basically free. Mm-hmm.

20:18Jason Moore:Still quarterback 18 or so.

20:20Mike Wright:Yeah. I mean, uh, Mike is, Mike is just over the moon about Tyler Shuck. I think he saw enough in the, in the sample size that he feels like there's nowhere to go but up. We, we know the story in the NFL, you know, don't ask CJ Stroud, how does rookie season went compared to the other years? Bo Nix took a step back last year compared to what we expected. we have we've seen the ups and downs of these players yep um but those teams didn't do what the saints did which is what during in jordan tyson in the top tier guy and that you draft

20:54Andy Holloway:jordan tyson in the top 10 and then you give your true number one wide receiver all the money

20:58Mike Wright:i mean this is just this is a dream come true this is and it's it's fine if you want you're

21:06Andy Holloway:I can't put him up there because I haven't seen Jordan Tyson take a snap. That's fine. But I will say when we do, hey, the time machine, it's like by next year I think the Saints are going to feel like the Bengals and the Cowboys. We have two top-tier studs and we have a quarterback. I'm not saying Shuck is Burrow, but I'm saying Shuck can put up numbers the way that Dak puts up numbers when he has two elite wide receivers.

21:34Mike Wright:Do you believe that you can draft him and play him every week?

21:36Andy Holloway:I do. The opening is going to be...

21:39Mike Wright:Because that would make him the best pick in fantasy quarterback-wise.

21:41Jason Moore:He feels like it to me.

21:43Mike Wright:Because he'll be free.

21:45Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, the nice thing is he's got a rushing baseline. He'll rush for over 400 yards or around there. That is helpful when you're taking a late-round quarterback? Dak or Shuck. Oh, Dak.

21:56Andy Holloway:I'm more confident in Dak. So if you're talking... They're not that far apart in rounds anymore. Where's Dak at?

22:02Mike Wright:Or is Dak a sixth? I think Dak is significantly higher. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I thought Dak might have. I mean, Dak's getting to the point where it's. Sixth round is a pretty big commit to Dak for sure. Shuck, you don't have to commit.

22:16Jason Moore:Shuck, you're talking about Jordan Love, Malik Willis. Those are the quarterbacks around him.

22:21Mike Wright:Yeah, QB11 for Dak in the ninth.

22:23Andy Holloway:So the way I see Shuck is, you know, when we talk about the years of. And look, I have Malik Willis in this area as well. of like you get to that last pick, you're like, I don't really like any of these sleepers. I'm not seeing any news that's changing how I'm feeling about guys. I'll just take a second quarterback, and I'll see what happens in week one. You know, like the Lamar year, that was the advice. It was like everything's set up for Lamar Jackson, but let's see if he can actually do it. And if you took him with your last pick, you more than likely won your league that year. I don't want to get hyperbolic and say Shuck's a league winner, but he's that type of profile.

23:06Andy Holloway:We'll save that for a different show. I'm willing to draft a second quarterback where frequently I'm not.

23:10Mike Wright:All right, that was Performance Climbers brought to you by GMC. We are professional grade. We'll take a break, and then we'll jump into the news.

24:59Jason Moore:News and notes from around the league.

25:04Mike Wright:Well, this segment has got a lot of this stuff in it.

25:08Andy Holloway:Taking over for the 9-9 and the 2 ,000.

25:11Mike Wright:Big money contracts being doled out. B. John Robinson, three-year contract worth up to$75 million with$51 million guaranteed. and if you want to know how nice it is to be a wide receiver, Zay Flowers, four-year 140 with 108 guaranteed, more than double the amount Bijan gets guaranteed in his contract. Big money for big money players, securing Zay Flowers as the true one in Baltimore. Bijan, we knew he was going to get paid, just didn't know when. Maybe this clears up the path for Jameer Gibbs getting his contract. We'll see. Gibbs is not practicing. Bijan will return.

25:48Jason Moore:Yeah, I think this is exactly what's going to heal the ailment of Gibbs holding out. Because, you know, whoever goes second, they've got the market set, and they just go, give me that, but plus some.

26:01Mike Wright:Mike, prepare the electrical substation. Mike Evans did not practice. Okay. I guess I should say 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans did not practice Monday due to a quad strength.

26:14Andy Holloway:It's not believed to be serious, per Rappaport. But wait, there's more. Kalen Blatt also did not practice due to a groin injury.

26:24Mike Wright:Mind you, Jordan James fractured a rib last week. Garendo's already on the IR. So, Brink. Piersall's out for the year. Kirk got hurt already. Stribbling is also injured. I don't think we mentioned that. The electrical substation is in mid-season form. Move your practice.

26:41Jason Moore:At some point, the joke is done.

26:44Andy Holloway:I'm in full agreement with that. of the like if i'm the management we're we're spending cash man we're we're fixing this

26:52Jason Moore:situation i mean it doesn't even matter if it's the substation just to change the scenery yeah

26:57Mike Wright:yeah if you're in the if you're playing if you're practicing at the base of a volcano and they're like that's that's an idle volcano there's no danger there i'm still gonna practice somewhere else yeah you just do this for fun just move it they lost their undrafted edge to a torn ACL. They did sign Khalil Herbert, so that's fun.

27:18Andy Holloway:Khalil's like, I pass.

27:19Mike Wright:He's like, no, thank you.

27:22Andy Holloway:I know I'm looking for work. No way, man. Khalil Herbert's like, free check, baby. I'm going to show up. I'll be hurt within two weeks.

27:29Mike Wright:Yeah, I was going to say, two weeks of practice. I'll get waved with my injury. Is CMC wearing grounding cleats or something? Does he have some sort of electrical copper bracelet? What are we doing?

27:39Jason Moore:The joke last year was CMC was siphoning everybody. That's the only way he was able to stay healthy, and he is wanting to be healthy this year. I will say this. The fact that you lost Pearsall. Mike Evans, I know it's not quote-unquote serious. Of course this is serious. For a player like Mike Evans who has been dealing his entire back of his career with. No, but it's usually the back of the leg. I know, but it's the soft tissue in his legs. If he's already struggling with this. Front of the legs connected to the back of the leg. then this is a problem. And last year, the reason CMC was so great, it wasn't efficiency.

28:13Jason Moore:It was the fact that he... Availability. Well, I believe he led the entire league in red zone targets at the running back position. He might do it again. That's my point.

28:24Mike Wright:Mike Evans, you were into Evans.

28:26Jason Moore:I love Evans here.

28:28Mike Wright:It's a perfect match. Evans and Adams are the two oldest players being drafted in the top six rounds in fantasy. Just bear that in mind. I just want Evans. If you don't get a discount on those players, you should not draft them. It never works out.

28:41Jason Moore:I need Evans to miss enough practices and enough training camp to where he's like an eighth-round pick. Oh, gosh.

28:47Mike Wright:Because I really want to draft them.

28:49Jason Moore:Then you'll be even more concerned. No, that's fine. But I want Mike Evans on my team, but I just don't want the opportunity cost to be giving up something too valuable.

28:59Mike Wright:Mike Evans is going to be a very polarizing pick. He is a fifth-round pick right now.

29:03Jason Moore:Yeah, too high.

29:04Mike Wright:uh devon uh sorry devonta smith makai lemon both not practicing both hurt their hamstrings makai lemon that's a bit of a flag to me you want rookies that can acclimate to the offense and when you are missing multiple stretches due to a hamstring which he was already dealing with some hamstring so this is a re-aggravation i assume it's the same one i don't know for sure

29:24Jason Moore:but presumably he has re-aggravated the issue that kept him out of camp yeah that happened to

29:30Mike Wright:Luther Burden last year, is that right? And that gave him a very slow start to his career. Kenyon Sadiq missed three straight practices, suffered a setback from a hernia surgery, will be out a little bit. Okay, Aaron Glenn said he'll be back week one. Casey Concepcion expected, quote, to be fine after injuring his shoulder, and Greg Dulcich is nursing a minor injury, which, unfortunately, with Dulcich's injury, Malik Willis is now throwing the ball to the air that is the final blow where did you rank the Dolphins in your Twitter

30:07Jason Moore:I believe my tier was what are we even doing here

30:10Mike Wright:there's two teams in the what are we even doing tier it's the Trey Tucker Jalen Naylor tier and the Malik Washington Jalen Tolbert tier at least one of those teams has Brock Bowers and then the Malik Washington truthers came out and attacked you

30:24Andy Holloway:all three of them I'll open that door and I'll wave to the meeting from Lake Washington. I'll just be like, hey guys, I'm not coming in. I'm not putting a jersey on. I'm not coming in, but I like what you're doing.

30:39Jason Moore:I'll take all top 40 wide receiver bets.

30:42Mike Wright:Well, it is time, guys. We've got our quarterback rankings show looking at four point per passing touchdown rankings. Let's get it going.

30:53Jason Moore:Quarterbacks.

30:53Mike Wright:We are looking at our top 10 rankings as of today, August 4th. Looking at positives, concerns, what could go right, what could go wrong, first matchups of the season.

31:07Jason Moore:Importantly, this is four point per passing touchdown leagues.

31:11Mike Wright:That's where the rankings come from in the UDK. Are these guys every week starters? The confidence level, I brought them up moments ago. Number 10. Dak Prescott comes in at number 10. He is also 33 years old, one of the older players drafted in the first nine rounds of fantasy drafts. Mike, you're the most bullish right now at 8. Jason at 11. I'm at 13. I think we all know what the potential of Dak is in this offense. Ninth round pick, quarterback 11 off the board.

31:44Andy Holloway:He is an awesome pick. He is an awesome pick. Like, if he is healthy and playing, at worst, he is a top 12 quarterback. At best, he's a top five. And it's like, it's Dak with Seedy and George, which, you know, George Pickens has not been really talked about, which is actually, that's good. You know, like we.

32:11Mike Wright:As in, he's not making news for. Correct. Other bits of disgruntled stuff.

32:15Andy Holloway:Based off of his historical profile, at least the way he was talked about from Pittsburgh, of just making problems. It was like, will this player who gets put on a franchise tag, will he make any problems? And it was just, it was real quiet. It was, nope, I'm going to sign it. And you thought, oh, that's interesting that that came out so fast. And then there's just, there's been nothing.

32:40Mike Wright:Well, Jones has come out and said in recent days that he wants Pickens there for the rest

32:45Andy Holloway:of his career but so i'm bringing that up of these are george pickens and cd land are where were they in your they better been s tier uh they were they were they are elite wide receivers

32:58Mike Wright:and dak prescott is you don't pay the borough price for dak and you've got the same the borough situation so is that as simple as it is i mean you did have it's so career highs and passing yards and pass attempts last year do you know does that change i mean that's like saying does it change for Burrow right now until these teams have defenses that are not bottom of the barrel

33:19Andy Holloway:which maybe you know both have worked on Dallas will Dallas has improved their defense even with that I don't it doesn't matter they can they can have a top 10 defense I still think that Dak is going to be a top 10 quarterback but they can't have a top 10 defense but I know what you're saying yes even if they did it doesn't change my opinion they're allowed to yes they certainly will

33:38Jason Moore:not and that is perfect for fantasy if you just take the 10 games after cd lamb got back and then take out week 18 because they basically give honorary starts and didn't play um that stretch of 10 games dac was on pace for 4870 passing yards and 30 touchdowns so that's that's great

33:58Mike Wright:for fantasy all right yeah i mean i i don't really have much more to add he is a discounted potential top tier quarterback and will be for the remainder of his career due to age and name fatigue and and you know the last five years he's gone as the quarterback nine or later in every single draft regardless of performance I'm you know at 33 you are going to be an injury risk you're going to run less and less as the career progresses but he's become a better and better passer so we can move on number nine Caleb Williams comes in at number nine he is 24 years old I've got him at 11. Jason at 8, Mike at 10.

34:37Mike Wright:He is the eighth quarterback off the board, so I guess Mike and I are slightly below ADP there. He had five games, high-end finish games of 24-plus points. He has not been consistent in terms of fantasy output. Everything about his potential for your fantasy team is projection. It is channeling your optimism around the good, not the bad not the completion percentage below 60 percent 41 percent of the time last year on our consistency chart he exceeded 20 points so that i do find myself i want to want to play caleb does that make sense yeah totally 100 so i you know the schedule to start the year i'll bring this up if you are on the fence about caleb you should be excited about the first six weeks where you are favored in five of six games.

35:29Mike Wright:You are playing three out of the first four games at home, and Carolina's your opening matchup. That seems like if you are on the fence and you want to see how it goes, it's probably going to be okay at worst for the first six weeks.

35:44Jason Moore:Yeah, Caleb is interesting. He is the player this year that I think you're trying to project, did he do it? Like his completion percentage is bad because he is not consistent. When you watch his film, he has just these unbelievably bad throws that are like, where did that come from? Because he's got great throws and then bad throws. You're hoping that this is a young player who just takes that leap forward and everything is on target. You know, you look at what's happened this offseason with his own regiment, his diet, his work. It seems like he is ready to play. We just talked about the weapons that Dak has.

36:25Jason Moore:You know, Dak has Ferguson at tight end. Now, Lamb and Pickens are a greater sign than Rome and Luther Burden, but you add in Loveland, you've got great weapons, you've got a great offensive mind, you've got a great offensive line. Everything is there for him to absolutely explode. It's time. But the problem is for him to explode for fantasy and truly be like a top three quarterback, which is very much realistic in his range of outcomes, he has to actually take that level up. He has to do kind of what Josh Allen did and go from an impressive physical attribute player to a consistent, accurate quarterback superstar.

37:08Mike Wright:Yeah, and I do think there is projection in the performance of his pass catchers. Because last year, I think you remember going into the season hoping Loveland would be good, hoping DJ Moore would be good. Roma Duns, they didn't quite live up to expectation. There was some, we didn't get the like how it's supposed to play out order, right? Like the plan, it was a roundabout plan to performance that happened a lot late in the season. So we are still projecting a little bit that Rome can, you know, step it up and continue to, you know, he's on the Marv Harrison kind of like slightly, like, you know, they're good, but are they kind of path?

37:47Mike Wright:Right. So when you look at potential concerns, you want to get the accuracy up. That's a big deal.

37:57Andy Holloway:Reports that I've been reading lately, Sean Hammond talking about accuracy, of like it's been improved. And I think year two with Ben Johnson, it matters. like the he's a human being and that was his second year in the league and he was already on a second offense we've seen that destroy quarterbacks when they have to just keep learning a new system gets to be in year two of it gets to have his wide receiver one and the tight end one all throughout training camp I'm more optimistic for where I have Caleb I don't have him ranked where this is a surefire thing, but if you're talking like Dak or Caleb, it's like, well, Caleb can take what he did last year, finishing at wide receiver seven and quarterback seven.

38:55Andy Holloway:Yeah, thank you, quarterback seven, and he could easily move up and to be a top five player. Number eight.

39:04Mike Wright:All right, this is, you know, if you don't want to get mired in trying to figure out. jacoby myers if you don't want to get jacoby myers no that's not great um if you and now you've just my flow's off you know i was going to talk about trying to decide between pass catchers in jacksonville running backs in jacksonville all that good stuff maybe you just draft trevor lawrence he comes in at number eight for us i've got him at seven mike you have him at seven as well he was the quarterback four last year this is an example of i mean he went from the quarterback 26 again he limited season but he he made a tear jump last year under liam cohen and liam cohen has full control of this offense jacksonville is there's so many weapons on this team you've got a competitive you know a tight end four wide outs special players to come in in certain personnel groupings bashal tootin an explosive player if you get the ball in his hands out of the backfield.

40:02Mike Wright:Maybe he goes the distance. There's just so much to like about Jacksonville overall. I think they are very much a dark horse Super Bowl candidate. Maybe it's not even dark horse. Maybe it's just a horse. Maybe it's just a regular horse.

40:15Jason Moore:He is the horse. Horse boy. He's been a horse candidate for a while. Hey, there he is.

40:21Mike Wright:There's our horse boy. We need him with his long locks though, man. You gotta get that taken care of. What an incredible goof that was. The biggest part of Trevor Lawrence's performance last year in terms of fantasy output jumping has been it was the rushing performance. It was nine rushing touchdowns. The rushing touchdowns. Yeah, and it was his career-hiring yardage too. But I think we can't expect nine rushing touchdowns from Trevor Lawrence, but we can certainly expect five or six. And with all of his weapons back and healthy, there's a chance that the passing touchdowns go up. And I just like what I'm seeing from him.

40:59Mike Wright:And I think he has potential for top five performances, too.

41:02Jason Moore:I do, too. I certainly can't and wouldn't project a player like Lawrence to be near nine rushing touchdowns again. So that coming back down hurts where he is in my rankings. However, you look at Liam Cohen. He got the rushing yardage and rushing attempts up with Baker Mayfield. That was a big deal. And it seemed like as the year went on, Trevor Lawrence finally figured out, dude, you are a very, very athletic quarterback. back that can scramble and help your offense if you use your legs i think he's always underperformed

41:34Mike Wright:in that always but he's the same size as josh allen it really in pounds it's like uh herbert

41:38Jason Moore:yeah you're like herbert come on yeah yeah do something just run and and but i think that the thing i like is as the season went on i believe this was intentional liam cohen got more out of his legs the second half of the year he was on pace for over 400 rushing yards which if That's his baseline. With those weapons, you know, he's back at the 8-9 turn where he's being drafted.

42:05Andy Holloway:He's been a 330-yard rusher three out of five years. Like 400 yards is not out of the range of outcomes. I think that it's – Trevor is interesting to me. So last year, 19.9 points per game. Caleb was at 18.6. We saw Lawrence, like, really taking off, but Lawrence is being drafted behind Caleb Williams.

42:26Mike Wright:The hardest part about Lawrence may be sticking with him through a tough early season schedule. He has to play Cleveland in week one, then Denver, then New England, then Cincy, congrats, but then Philly and Houston. Five of six weeks are against defenses I'm scared to have matchups against. There's a chance that he has a mid. If I could play, let me put it this way, if I could play Caleb for the first six weeks, the Bears have the sixth toughest strength of schedule in the league, but their first six weeks are great. If I could play Caleb and then maybe trade him for Trevor, maybe that's the direction I would go.

43:03Mike Wright:They have opposites there. But I just think that you're looking at an offense that could be a top three offense. I think they could be the best offense in football. That's really possible, I think. So that makes him very interesting. Number seven. It's Jackson Dart coming in at seven. And we have a wide disparity in our individual rankings, which frankly doesn't match Mike's optimism and excitement for Jackson Dart.

43:28Andy Holloway:From earlier. Earlier in the offseason. I've gotten more sad.

43:34Mike Wright:Look, Jace has got him at 6. I've got him at 8, which is a little bit higher than I had him before in this offseason. Mike at 12. His ADP is the quarterback 9 in the 8th round. There's just a lot that can go wrong.

43:47Andy Holloway:That's the issue.

43:48Mike Wright:That's the only argument for the Dart situation.

43:50Andy Holloway:Having him at 12, that probably is too low for what Dart put on the field of being a true fantasy difference maker. I mean, a couple real, real poopy pants performances from him, but a lot of elite 20-plus points. If your quarterback's scoring 20 or more points in a week, that's really, really helping you take down your opponent. but the you know i hate that matt naggy is there he's the new offensive coordinator my biggest problem with it too yeah i it just and seemingly you know at least the way i'm looking at things what matt naggy wants out of his offense versus where jackson dart really excelled last year they don't jive so i just i have concerns uh that matt naggy is going to ruin everything for us for for Jackson Dart's fantasy upside.

44:45Jason Moore:So I am all in on Jackson Dart for fantasy. I want to be. Yeah, well, you have that choice. You actually can. So if you really want to, just do it.

44:56Andy Holloway:No, they made the choice for me. They hired a budget magician to be their offensive coordinator. I get that.

45:02Jason Moore:And if this was a pocket passer, I would be more worried. But it's really the legs of Jackson Dart. He was running like Lamar ran. He was on pace in his starts for almost 700 rushing yards that is that is an outrageous amount you can't be bad at fantasy in you know you could be Justin Fields and finish fine as a bad quarterback and he's not a bad quarterback he did that all without Malik neighbors you look at his scores last year as a starter rookie without neighbors 19.8 that's a that's a great great week that's a great 15.6 that's a good week fine then it was 23, 28, 20, 27, 26.

45:44Mike Wright:I'm not certain the recipe for Jackson Dart will be the same. We lost Cam Scadaboo. He had to scramble more, run more, take more chances, got himself more hurt. Yeah. So I'm not sure that the hardball recipe for Jackson Dart, not that anybody can stop him from being himself. I think there's going to be an element of that. But injury is going to be a risk with Jackson Dart that needs to be baked into the situation. certainly he's also going to be one of the more like i think more people will reach on jackson dart at quarterback than a lot of other guys yeah he's because he's fun he's exciting i just think getting scataboo back having some actual pass catching weapons it felt like dart against the world maybe dart and wandale against the world last year um i think scat i mean obviously you

46:28Jason Moore:want the offense to be good and scataboo is such a good pass catcher that i don't think that that is a negative thing for dart to me i just look at a rookie who scored 20 fantasy points a game in his starts adds malik neighbors so why goes into year two why is he being drafted in the eighth round is the question because there's a lot of ways it can go wrong okay so you acknowledge absolutely this is a but in the you know where he's being picked in the eighth ninth round like who cares i'm just looking for upside there's okay he could go out there and be the you know the competing with Josh Allen for the most fantasy points.

47:04Mike Wright:All right, we'll take a break. We'll count down the final six.

Now also available with an ESPN Unlimited plan. And for the first time ever, Super Bowl 61. Marquee matchups, MVP quarterbacks, international games, the whole season start to finish. Football's on ESPN.

48:28Mike Wright:number six number six is drake may i've got him at five jason at seven mike at six he was the quarterback three last year this is not tough mathematics right this is a player that performed at an extremely high level mvp consideration passed you know one of the the highest passing percentage teams in football completed a mind-boggling 14 percent more of his passes than and Caleb Williams, 72 % completion percentage, has shown us he can go for over 4 ,331. Oh, and you added A.J. Brown. That's the Drake May Bull case, is that you did it, and now you add a true difference-making weapon that can go up and get the ball.

49:13Mike Wright:I mean, the fact he did it with the receivers he had last year, to me, is, you know, impressive.

49:20Jason Moore:Yeah, there's not much to argue against him. The only thing that is on the downside is last year his schedule was very, very, very easy. This year the schedule will be more difficult, so you're going to have to step it up. When he played some of those great defenses in the playoffs, they won, but he did not have good performances, certainly not statistically for fantasy purposes. So we'll have to see, but I do believe that he has all the tools and can overcome bad matchups. Like, if you believe he's elite, you know, we don't worry if Joe Burrow is in a bad matchup. You're not like, oh, no. Right.

49:56Jason Moore:You know, sometimes you want him to be playing a great team because you want another team that can score on you. So, Drake May is great. The two negatives are can he do it against much tougher competition this year? And he's not a free square anymore. You're giving up a fifth-round pick to grab him.

50:12Mike Wright:He's probably the highest ADP jump of anybody in our top ten.

50:15Andy Holloway:He is. Year over year. He is the QB three, which is market-wise, that's higher than we have him ranked.

50:22Mike Wright:That's right. So he may not be on our teams, but I think the performance will be there. Number five. Mike, talk to me about Joey B, Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow comes in at five. I got him at six, so I do have him behind Drake May, one spot. Jason at four, Mike at four. You guys both got him ahead of Drake May. He is the quarterback four off the board. I mean, we know that when Joe Burrow is healthy and has his two receivers, that it's a fairly unstoppable offense. And the schedule is amazing. Not only are they Warren Sharpe's third easiest strength of schedule for 2026, I believe, you can verify it, I believe they have the single easiest schedule for wide receivers in football.

51:06Mike Wright:Oh, man, that's not fair. Jermar Chase what could go wrong? Everything in Cincinnati but right now and they have done work on the defensive side both in the draft and through the trade for Dexter Lawrence it will be a better defense but you're going to need Joey B right? You're going to need 4 ,500 yards from this guy.

51:28Andy Holloway:100 % if Burrow's on the field it's very much like Dak except people respect Joe Burrow far more than Dak he when burrows on the field he is like he's a he's a great fantasy quarterback year two 19.6 points per game follow that up with nearly 22 points per game the next year then he gets hurt 2024 back to 22 points per game and then last year of course hurt again right at the beginning of the year. And it's hard to get the signal of a player's emotion and how they're doing. I don't know. The vibes out of Cincinnati feel different to me this year. They feel very positive. They feel extremely positive.

52:18Andy Holloway:And it's like we're not doing a contract bull crap where it's like for years of what are we doing with Tee Higgins? And Chase. And Burrow. Like are we going to pay – I mean, of course they're going to pay Chase, but it's like, when will that happen? So none of those distractions are taking place this year. As far as we know, everybody is healthy at the moment. They have turned the team over to Joe Burrow. Chase Brown being the running back speaks even more to that because he's just like Chase Brown.

52:47Mike Wright:Receiving skills.

52:48Andy Holloway:He has receiving skills, and he's not a Rico Dowdle where it's like, oh boy, this is the week where they're going to give Rico 25 carries and Joe Burrow, I really hope he gets a touchdown. No, the offense is Joe Burrow with two elite weapons, and Joe Burrow is an elite quarterback. I am all in perfect schedule.

53:08Mike Wright:He is Mike's quarterback one in six-point fantasy leagues if you want to know how much he believes. Number four. All right, it's Jalen Hurts. Look, I will get out of the way.

53:19Jason Moore:This one's hard.

53:21Mike Wright:I will get out of the way here. He is at four, so there's your respect. So everybody that wants to jump on me for the next thing I say, your respect is in the ranking. Okay. The hard part is that you can say every single, I just said a bunch of stuff about Drake May and then I said they added AJ Brown. I'm going to say a bunch of stuff about Jalen Hurst. It was his least productive fantasy season since his rookie year. So basically since he was a starter, that was the least productive and a point per game basis. And now you lose AJ Brown. That's part of the storyline here. I feel like, you know, look, this is a good franchise organization.

53:55Mike Wright:They drafted Makai Lemon. They have Dallas Goddard. Devontae Smith's a stud. But statistically speaking, Jalen Hurts is two things this year. He's coming off his worst season, and he's at the biggest discount for fantasy. So, Jason, where are you? You said it's hard. Give me your thought process before we move to number three.

54:16Jason Moore:Yeah, it's hard because this is a player who has so many fantasy points scored on the ground. That's always been his game. And last year you had a player who's perennially 600-plus rushing yards, 700-plus rushing yards, who ended with 421 rushing yards. This is a player who always has double-digit rushing touchdowns because of the tush push, sometimes up at 15. And last year he was down at eight rushing touchdowns. So which is it? Is it a directional thing? He's older. He's running less. He's not that much of a weapon. I don't believe that. He's 27 years old. He hasn't aged out of mobility yet.

54:56Jason Moore:I believe that Kevin Petulo is the worst. I mean, like, give me Matt Nagy over Petulo. That guy stinks. Now, we don't know if Sean Mannion is great. You know, sometimes I remember back in the day, it was like, well, this offensive line can't get worse. don't you say that out loud it could maybe Sean Mannion is just as bad as Petulo but the offense was disgusting last year literally the Eagles offense watching schematically was like they didn't do and there there's no creativity no scheming guys open no motion no all the things that work in the NFL seen enough motion and and Sean Mannion is coming from systems that that work and they're going to have him under center more.

55:42Jason Moore:Sean Mannion or Hurts? Well, either one, man. Sean Mannion could sling it, but Hurts will be under center more. Do it like this, Jalen. They also have one of the best offensive lines that was very injured last year and should be healthy. So in my estimation, the tush push isn't going away. They're not going to stop using it. I think that he'll have double-digit rushing touchdowns for sure. He'll be at 500 rushing yards, and he's at the biggest discount. So I think he's actually a pretty good pick at fantasy this year.

56:10Andy Holloway:Yeah, if you're – Number three. I'm sorry.

56:13Mike Wright:I thought you were done, Mike. No, apparently I'm done. No, no, I thought you were. I think wrapping Jaden into this discussion at some point will be good.

56:21Andy Holloway:So tier-wise, fantasy football, you have Josh Allen's kind of – he's his own thing, man. And then you have kind of that batch of other elite quarterbacks. Jalen Hurts is the lowest ADP. I think he has the highest risk, but it's still a potential difference maker. Number three. You already did that. Number three.

56:46Mike Wright:So what's funny about this is so Jaden's at number three in our consensus. Hertz is at four. Burrow's at five. Through this conversation, I already want Burrow. That's the wild thing about this because I think the range of outcomes on Burrow is not outside of injury, which I mean, look. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Jaden went down with injury. That can happen.

57:04Andy Holloway:yeah but i think i want percentage wise jane daniels has been hurt half of his seasons yes

57:10Mike Wright:look jay i think burrow's like half too oh yeah don't say that um it was a lost season for jayden we know that the thing that i wanted the reason i hit three so soon oh crap it's half for burrow is because jayden daniels and and jalen hurts are both in the sixth round and both to me are they're somewhat similar situations in the fact that you have a new offensive coordinator in both cities you have a quarterback who's dependent on the rushing yardage you have questions about the pass catchers in both cities to some degree and both of them are at a discount relative to their previous spot in fantasy so you know look do i think that one of the two is probably going to work out really well for fantasy at adp yeah i mean both might but i'm sitting there with the stability of joe burrow the schedule of joe burrow the you know the the receiving group for joe burrow and I find myself a little bit nervous.

58:05Jason Moore:I could not agree with you anymore. When I finished my stats for Jaden Daniels, he was extraordinarily high. He was, you know, in some formats, he was like my quarterback one because of the rushing. The rushing upside is in that 700, 800 yard range. And like I said, when you have that level of rushing, you can't be bad at fantasy. However, I don't love the team outlook. I don't love the offensive outlook. I don't love the offensive weapons. I think Terry McLaurin is good, but he's old. He's going to be 31 this year, and they don't really know who the number two is. Maybe they'll bring in Stephon Diggs, but he's past his prime two.

58:40Jason Moore:So the weapons are dicey. I think Jaden Daniels is great. He's great for fantasy, but he costs a lot. To me, when we look at this grouping of where you're taking these quarterbacks, I'm in complete agreement with you, Andy. If I'm taking a quarterback in this range, it's Burrow. Burrow's the best. He's got the best outlook, the best team dynamic, the best projected point total, the best weapons. If I'm going for the rushing mobile upside, that's why I'm all in on Jackson Dart. Let me take a running back or a wide receiver here, and if I'm going for the upside of this guy's going to have 800 rushing yards and kind of be the superstar for fantasy that Burrow can't do that on the ground, let me take him in the ninth.

59:20Mike Wright:Yeah, anything to add there, Mike?

59:22Andy Holloway:The scramble rate was still incredibly high last year, so Jaden's going to keep running. We know that 11 % of Daniel's passes were dropped, which that's fantasy points. That's not on Jaden Daniels. That will probably bounce back. It's the weapons. That's what freaks me out the most. Can Okonkwo, because if they don't add digs, It sounds like Okonkwo will be the number two target who's paid. Maybe Antonio Williams. Sure. But it's like, is that enough to take Jaden Daniels with the rushing floor and keep him elite? Or are you just more of a floor player where you're like, I'm getting the QB seven every single week.

1:00:10Jason Moore:I think we know, Mike, if Jaden Daniels is awesome this year, if he ends up as a top three quarterback, the Senate has opened. what i am he's gonna have to step up i don't like you getting in on this oh but is he gonna step up probably not so i don't like you saying he's the skeleton key to success that's uh ben's everybody yeah tight end lamar jackson comes in at number two in our rankings

1:00:40Mike Wright:We all three have him at two, which means that just, you know, by extension.

1:00:46Jason Moore:Number one.

1:00:47Mike Wright:Josh Allen is number one. So Lamar and Josh Allen at the tippy top of the board. Baltimore, high projected win total, favored in their first six weeks. Such a great pick, I think. They just locked up Zay Flowers. The optimism in Baltimore is extremely high. that you know we want to see Lamar like you can't you can't talk about depreciating performances in the in the aforementioned names and not talk about Lamar having a down season as well I mean Lamar was at 16.5 fancy points per game it was a bad year so it now we've we've been it was very hurt last year we've been there before and and like Lamar has now earned the level of respect that winning as a bad year, you can say that's just not Lamar.

1:01:39Mike Wright:But it's fair to say he's bounced back from years where he was hurt and had lower performances to MVP seasons, being the number one overall quarterback. That's what he was in 2024. He's been the number one quarterback twice, where he averaged over 25 fancy points a game twice. So that's what a healthy Lamar Jackson brings to the table. last year missed time missed games lowest uh fantasy points per game lowest rushing yardage ever the rushing is the big one and it was so hurt man he was it was even worse and maybe it

1:02:12Jason Moore:was because of the injury when he got back from the injury the second half of the year the nine games he played he was on a 16 game pace of 345 rushing you could see it you could see the way he

1:02:24Andy Holloway:was moving around and the decisions he was making of it where you're like oh healthy lamar jackson right there runs for 15 yards and he would turn that turn it down and he'll turn 30 this year so

1:02:36Jason Moore:the rushing upside is is the is the real question um obviously i i think they're i think their weapons are better they spent a couple of draft picks on some rookies zay flowers is good they've got a good running game they're good organ sure he's he's paid like he's great for sure so the question the question for Lamar Jackson who's broken fantasy two different times and basically guaranteed you a championship is will he run like Lamar Jackson of his career or is that high end you know 700 plus rushing yards is that done that's the question to me that you have to if you're drafting Lamar where he is which is totally fine you have to truly believe he's just getting back to rushing and he's healthy and the reason he didn't last year was because of the

1:03:23Mike Wright:injury what do you put the percentage chance that josh allen finishes as the qb1 versus the

1:03:27Jason Moore:percentage chance that lamar does 80 if it's just versus those two i think i think 80 on the allen

1:03:35Mike Wright:side josh allen scores more fantasy uh jesse menner the new head coach declan doyle a much less predictable offensive coordinator coming in there's excitement from lamar about this situation they did draft a couple of rookie wide receivers to add to the bunch behind zay flowers brought back andrews but again this this offense we've seen lamar be an mvp with no pass catching options he's very much like like we've seen josh allen do it with really no pass catching options so those two are in a special category that's why they're at the tippy top of this

1:04:07Andy Holloway:ranking the thing for lamar's rushing so last year baltimore was number one in early down rush rate and they're like not Lamar like this is we're giving the ball to the Yeti we're giving it to Derrick Henry which overall that's a it's a pretty good idea to go with but the the system so Doyle's coming in from Chicago this is a Ben Johnson type of system is what you have to project 16th in early down rush rate that means we're throwing more in first down and that's that's good for fantasy football because we're getting Lamar some more numbers it is also more opportunities to run like this is we talk about Jaden Daniels scramble rate you can only scramble if you're given a passing attempt and the way that this offense works it wouldn't surprise me if if Lamar scrambles even more uh based off of what his career averages are as as defenses have to respect uh things and drop back even more so I'm very bullish I look at last year of of Lamar I'm waving it off as this was like it that was truly the first we all are yeah but I'm saying like even the years he was hurt in in 2021 and 2022 when he played 12 games he was 20 points a game 19.7 points a game so it's I mean that's still not horrifically bad in 23 he was at 20.7 points per game and that was good for QB4 as in that that range of three years it wasn't all that different he just happened to miss some games in two of the three years I'm Lamar is is is still perfectly fine because I think that's the biggest question is are you willing to forgive Lamar for last year and move forward with him as your QB1 going in the fourth round I 100 % am yeah and the

1:05:57Mike Wright:schedule is great for him to start the year the schedule is great for Josh Allen to start the year as well in terms of being favored in five of six Allen is a machine he's the all-time leader and fancy points per game at the position. He has shown that he can do it multiple ways. He was the quarterback one in 2021 with 35 passing touchdowns. He was the quarterback one in 2023 with, you know, double-digit touchdowns on the ground, 15. And he's only been in the 20s in passing touchdowns. He was 35-plus for three straight years. Then he's in the 20s, and it doesn't matter. He's had two out of three years with the number one overall finish.

1:06:34Mike Wright:He has a goal-line running back.

1:06:36Jason Moore:I was going to say they added the tush push, and that changed a lot. You don't need the passing touchdowns. He's the big-bodied quarterback. They're talking about a triple B? Just like Jalen Hurts. And so when you have those double-digit rushing touchdowns, Lamar can't do that. They're not using Lamar on the goal line the same. He would have to scramble out. They're not going to just tush push Lamar. They will do that with Josh Allen. Yeah. The cheek sneak. The left-sided cheek sneak. here's a cool stat from Dwayne McFarlane on X. This is the playoff advance rates for Josh Allen on fantasy teams on ESPN by season.

1:07:12Jason Moore:So 2025 last year, 58 % playoff advance rate. The year before, 58%. The year before, 62%. The year before, 59%. The year before, 49%. The year before, 51%. The year before, 51%. And he's been all over the place. Sometimes he's been as high as pick 21 overall. and you know as low as 30 not including like his breakout years 105 so josh allen at 212 is just

1:07:36Andy Holloway:never going to be a bad pick he scores lamar isn't lamar's qb2 per adp in the fourth the problem

1:07:41Mike Wright:there is you play with fire on the weight i mean if you look if i could always get lamar there i just don't think that's going to be the case that's where he's settling but i think he's going to bounce around based on of course and i just feel like i'm i'd be nervous about the weight there and if you believe that there is that big of a tear jump then like jason said it's not going to be a bad pick you don't mess that pick up that pick is not ruined you didn't draft a mistake it's not sure ken walker we hope he goes it's great i have him i can't believe you're even bringing that name up as a possible mistake it's possible it's possible it's possible you can't put omari and hampton it's possible absolutely that one is possible it's not also also dj more

1:08:26Jason Moore:has added to the scene. I know we haven't been bullish on DJ Moore. He's looking great so far in training camp. It's not a negative for Josh Allen. It's not a negative to have a legitimate receiving option. I mean, his number one receiving option over the last couple years has been Jack Squat. Is that your way of... Mr. Squat. Yeah, I've never... I mean, Khalil Shakir's a fine Squat player, but he's not a one or even a two.
