In short
Dynasty Week episode focused on (1) common dynasty mistakes that cost value over time, (2) offseason news affecting dynasty/redraft targets, and (3) “trade for” and “trade away” candidates with specific player arguments.
Guests/hosts
Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, Mike Wright (Fantasy Footballers hosts). No separate guests appear in the transcript.
Key claims
- Dynasty managers overtrade in the offseason, depleting draft capital and ending with a weak roster.
- Many chase “future” youth and ignore the championship window; winning matters most.
- Don’t blindly follow rookie-draft consensus; take players you believe in even if it’s “against the grain.”
Notable examples
- Overtrading example: trading away draft capital by adding small pieces to close deals.
- Rookie consensus example: 2022 (Breece Hall, Drake London, Kenneth Walker, Treylon Burks, etc.) and how results can differ from consensus.
- News discussed: Jets re-signed/extended Breece Hall (3 years, $45M); Chargers signed David Njoku (1 year up to $8M) and Juan Jennings (Vikings, up to $13M); Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence “leveled up” under Liam Cohen; Vikings QB competition (JJ McCarthy vs Kyler Murray).
- Trade candidates: Trade for Harold F. (Fanta Jr.) Smith-Schuster? (Harold Fanta Jr.)/Fannin; trade away DJ Moore; trade for Trevor Lawrence; trade for B. (Bashal) Tootin (Braelon Allen? actually “Bayshall Tootin”); trade away George Pickens (sell high).

1:09Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
1:26Mike Wright:Welcome in.
1:32Mike Wright:Tuesday, May 12th.
1:38Mike Wright:Welcome to Dynasty Week, the Fantasy Footballers Podcast. Mike the Fantasy Hitman, Jason Moore. I'm Andy Holloway. Hello. Hey. How's it going? What was that? I was saying hello. Okay. Sounded like a grumpy neighbor hello. I mean, yeah. I guess that's where you're at. Welcome in. It is Dynasty Week, a special week of shows bending towards the Dynasty players out there. Today's a fun one because we're going to be doing trade for and trade away candidates. Look, it's specifically Dynasty Trade for Dynasty Trade Away. But, you know, that works for a redraft, too, because these are players that you think you make the move now, you get the benefit now and into the future.
2:29Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, it's the outlook of NFL futures. So for redraft, that still matters. This is whether or not we think the value is peaking, has peaked, or is, you know, there's more to come from this player, right? I mean, that's all we're picking here. Is it sneaking? Sneaking or peeking? It's one of them.
2:51Mike Wright:yep that's hey that's today's show uh we are gonna do a little something fun for dynasty week we're gonna give away a signed jersey this week a signed james cook jersey i don't know rank check where do you have james five james cook at five i think i have him at six hold on yeah i'm like six yeah i've got him at uh six as well so james cook has been a dominator in fantasy we got a signed James Cook jersey we're going to give away. Anybody that has the UDK Plus or the Ultimate Foot Clan membership, so basically access to the Dynasty Pass, are automatically entered to win. We'll give it away after this week.
3:28Mike Wright:You can learn more at ultimatedraftkit.com for that. Quick question of the day to get us started. Chase writes in from X. I don't think it's Jamar Chase or Chase Brown, but what's the most common mistake you see Dynasty managers make that consistently cost them value over time.
3:50Andy Holloway:I will jump in. And this one, it...
3:54Jason Moore:I'm laughing at what has been added to your note in our doc.
3:59Andy Holloway:So, in Dynasty, especially in the offseason or the extended bye week, there's not a lot of action going on. You wait, you get your rookie drafts. So, people like to trade. And you know what? It's very fun. The sending of the - I like it. Sending the offer, an offer going through. Each thing you do, you get a little dopamine. Flows throughout the body. It's fun. It feels good. And yet, over-trading in the - Can it be done? Yes, it can. Oh, yeah. In the leagues I am in, I have seen the over-traders get themselves. All of a sudden, you're like, whoa, you made like four awesome moves right there. But because they're over traders, they can't stop.
4:49Andy Holloway:They can't walk away from the table. They continue to trade. And then they're back to their team just stinks. It's an unfortunate balance of trading is super fun. But if you do it too much, you will overdo it and you'll just end up with nothing. You'll have nothing.
5:06Jason Moore:It takes a real man to look in the mirror and say, maybe I'm doing a little too much trading here. Because you cannot win every trade. Now, wouldn't they have the argument that if you win 60 % of the trades that you should trade 1 ,000 times as opposed to five times? But I will say that, I mean, we've been in a lot of leagues. the people that trade like crazy that are all like every trade that goes through is this person when you got one of them in the league historically it does not work out great for that person i think
5:42Mike Wright:in dynasty specifically it is more of a risk because generally what gets trades across the finish line is draft capital and so if you are trading so frequently that you're just throwing in an extra piece here an extra piece there to get the trades across the finish line you find yourself depleted later on in future seasons, I think that's a good one.
6:03Jason Moore:For me, the mistake I see people making in dynasty leagues is always playing for the future, always worrying about the youth, the long-term outlook, never realizing I'm in a championship window. I need to put myself over the top. I need to have a veteran. You've got to not just care so much that it's a dynasty League that you don't get to ever win a championship. You have to know when to go in and do that. That's not necessarily about what's costing you value over time, but in the end, the only thing that matters is do you win a championship? That's it. How many championships have you won in your Dynasty League?
6:42Jason Moore:That's the question that matters the most. Two of the last three.
6:45Mike Wright:Oh. I was not asking you. Oh, I'm sorry.
6:49Jason Moore:So then we have the same amount of championships in our league. Got it. Two of the last three and one Jameer Gibbs
6:53Andy Holloway:away from champ, champ, champ.
6:56Mike Wright:that made me sad I'm so happy that it made me sad yeah that's great can I I was thinking about this driving in it kind of ties into what you're saying here on the winning now versus winning later and I have a I have a concept a theory a thought for dynasty leagues that I want to run by you and whether you think it's stupid or not I think running backs are more important to winning a championship and wide receivers are more important to being competitive long term I think That's fair to say.
7:24Andy Holloway:I think that's right.
7:25Mike Wright:And I do think that ties into that question there, where sometimes you're going to make what might be an antithetical dynasty decision on a trade or a draft pick, a rookie pick, because you need to play for today. And so I think that's the way it goes in dynasty. I think the running back's shorter window, but big impact, especially when you think about the fact that the majority of your league is going to be focused on the longevity of the wide receiver position. So something to think about. My mistake that I wanted to bring up was just blindly following the consensus in rookie drafts versus your own opinions.
8:02Mike Wright:Yes, don't follow our opinions over your own opinions, right? This show is not about blindly following what we say. We're supposed to give you our perspectives, which we disagree with each other. Then you make your own decision. I mean, you can go back to rookie draft after rookie draft after rookie draft. Everyone drafts them in a certain order, and then you can look back with regret. at um i just pulled a random year because i just wanted to see what it was like 2022 this was a year where breeze hall went number one drake london went number two then ken walker then traylon burks went number four oh man you had chris olave garrett wilson george pickens the next three off the board sky more a couple picks ahead of james cook in this draft right um so you know you you kind of hit some of those i'm sure we would you know put a lave up ahead of trailing burks and everyone else ahead of trailing burks but i think it's okay like one of the questions that's gotten brought up a lot this year is like oh when am when do i have permission to draft jerry and price right that's the one i see them do i have permission to take jerry and price over mckay lemon at five permission like you got permission to take two i think that's fine i genuinely do i think you can take the player you need to take that you have conviction about that you believe in and just you will have to absorb the arrows the eyeballs from your league that just say you're an idiot if you passed on chaelin burks for james cook you would have been an idiot yes right at the time the the dynasty world as a whole it there's a lot more room for stupidity as a perception but the reality is much different we have so many years of trades that you look at in the moment and you're like, oh my gosh, how do you do that?
9:46Mike Wright:And it was better for the opposite person. So I don't know what that means. It kind of seems like there's a parallel there to the way that the good stock traders treat the market versus the...
10:00Andy Holloway:Well, they just buy like...
10:03Mike Wright:You know, they're willing...
10:04Andy Holloway:Not singular stocks. Can you do that? Sure, sure. Can we do that? That's a good point. I will trade James Cook for your Cincinnati wide receivers.
10:12Mike Wright:yeah that'd be nice to be able to take an entire collection but no the idea that you just have a little bit of discipline and strength in the midst of a negative environment yeah because you believe in something so um plenty of other mistakes to make don't worry about it is really
10:28Jason Moore:fun you you brought up that draft from our league in 2022 it's really fun to go back and look at rookie drafts.
10:39Mike Wright:Najee Harris, number one. Jamar Chase, number two. That's the consensus, by the way, from 2021.
10:45Jason Moore:Yeah. I mean, I'm just pulling up drafts, and it's literally a good time. Go to your league right now. Go to your draft history and look at a couple rookie drafts. Because once your three years passed, you know the results. And you get to see all the stupid things we do.
11:00Mike Wright:2024. Redraft 2024. You got Marv, number one. Neighbors, two. Adunze, three. Brock Bowers, four jayden daniels eight yep so yeah there's um it happens which by the way you can do this every year with the nfl draft and it's insanely wrong so um just be willing to kind of go against the grain if you have conviction about a player for whatever reason i really like jadarian price this year and i'm totally fine taking him ahead of makai lemon based on team need things like that would you do
11:33Andy Holloway:102 though like so you're saying above Tate and Tyson would I yeah
11:41Mike Wright:probably not I would probably take Tate no matter what ahead of him but if I was a team that really needed a running back I'm fine if you want to take you know if you want to take him over Tyson I think I'm okay with that so again the feeling that you get coming from Jason right there is the feeling you'll get in your league the little i can't say anything it doesn't
12:06Andy Holloway:help that the i'll just jason and i like our our scouting of the prospect jadarian price was not like i loved that guy like if if we if i saw jonathan taylor on the film and he goes at 32 to the seahawks you're like yeah no problem take him over the superstar wide receivers because that guy is going to be a superstar. It's just, it's very, with the production profile and just what it, it's very difficult to see price for me, like really going on that path to superstardom.
12:43Mike Wright:And you'll see in a year from now. Yep. And you'll be like, Oh, remember that conversation? I was so wrong. And I didn't win a championship this year in any of my leagues. I'm Mike in a year from now. That's what you'll say. Oh, that's what, that was my impression of you in a year. I hope, Jason. We've got to get him out of here. I'm praying. Al has informed me we have a drop for Dynasty Week. Yeah, we do. I never hit it. It's out of rules.
13:13Jason Moore:Welcome to Dynasty Week.
13:19Mike Wright:Man, I imagine that while we talked through those mistakes that Dynasty players made, nobody felt welcome to that point to dynasty week and i apologize for that that drop was necessary to welcome you in now you feel welcome yeah we did get a little bit of news the jets signed
13:35Andy Holloway:breeze hall to a three-year 45 speaking of dynasty checking in with jason yeah resale manager for
Read the full transcript
13:40Jason Moore:dino senior jay how are you feeling i'm feeling super sucky this is the first time ever first time ever where my running back signs an extension and i'm disappointed yeah it's like for dynasty See, that is the value. We talk about it all the time. It's not even age at the running back. It's like the contracts. So long as he's got three years.
14:03Mike Wright:29 guaranteed.
14:03Jason Moore:And it's wonderful.
14:05Mike Wright:$45 million. Highest paid running backs on average salary. Saquon. CMC. Brees.
14:10Jason Moore:I mean, I'm super happy for the man who said he cried when he signed it. You know, he's gone through a lot with the ACL tear. And here he is signing. Is it because he knew he was trading? success for money. Yeah, he said they were happy tears, but we know, Breeze. We know. You're like, oh, man. Tears of acceptance?
14:30Andy Holloway:It's the, hey, me and Garrett, we're going to be just making it rain,
14:35Mike Wright:but we will never win a Super Bowl. I brought up the stinky teams. They've done some stuff to the offensive line here that I'm encouraged about in New York for Breeze Hall. He's managed to be productive for fantasy in spite of his surroundings. And I know Jason believes Clubnik's a future MVP.
14:53Jason Moore:They have so many talented, skill-positioned players now that if you bring a quarterback in here, they should be able to move the ball.
15:04Andy Holloway:We got to get Dante Moore there, so all my Dante Moore cards are still the same color. Okay.
15:10Mike Wright:The Chargers... Is that an Oregon, Dante Moore? It's close enough.
15:13Andy Holloway:Okay.
15:14Mike Wright:The Chargers are signing David Njoku to a one-year deal worth up to$8 million. they also signed Charlie Kohler to a three year deal on free agency
15:23Andy Holloway:Kohler's the blocker
15:24Mike Wright:but takes up a spot
15:28Andy Holloway:it's weird how to do this because the initial my initial reaction is well there we go this dude's a stud sorry Gadsden and the Gadsden Truthers that was a nice month we had last year that was my initial thought and then Fannin succeeded on the same field with Njoku Well, and Fannin was better. I agree. Fannin was better. Njoku had to wait until May to get a one-year deal. He's at the tail end. It's just, if you're on Team Gadsden, I wouldn't abandon all hope yet. There's a chance that Njoku is about to be washed.
16:09Jason Moore:Njoku turns 30 any minute now. Oh, man.
16:12Mike Wright:He's not washed yet.
16:14Jason Moore:I don't think he is washed. Not like his physique, but his play. certainly impacts Gadsden on a redraft level. Like, I had Gadsden as one of my number one tight end targets later in the draft.
16:27Mike Wright:I mean, he would have been a breakout for us, guaranteed in the UDK without Njoku getting signed. But now it's like, who is the higher targeted tight end on this team?
16:38Jason Moore:Njoku or Gadsden in 2026?
16:40Mike Wright:I actually have Gadsden with more targets than Njoku. I just think it's a ceiling wrecker for Gadsden.
16:47Jason Moore:Yeah.
16:47Mike Wright:And they have other weapons there. They're going to run the ball more successfully this year. I was already going out on a limb that Gadsden would be able to. The thing about Njoku coming in is he is a good tight end with a ton of experience. Gadsden is a young tight end with not a lot of experience, and I feel like the way this team, the little things are going to matter, and I feel like Njoku is going to do those things on a week-in and week-out basis. I think that was part of why Najee got brought in last year. It was the exact same type of signing. Now Najee went down with a major injury, but I think that's what you would have seen through the years a little bit more trust on the veterans because they do the little things even when we want to see the young guy flourish
17:25Andy Holloway:and that's my concern about Gadsden and also the other part of that equation with the chargers is for the wide receivers they are clearly the chargers are loading up here and we're going to see you know a lot of like the later end of Miami where it's a lot of tight ends on the field because they have great wide receivers. Yeah, they're pretty good. We'll call them pretty good, but very interesting players. And more than likely, you're only going to see two of them on the field for more snaps than the average of the NFL. So it's how do you – us figuring out who those two guys are going to be over the course of training camp.
18:07Andy Holloway:You're talking about the wide outs or the tight ends on the field? No, the wide outs. And it's like, yeah, well, it's going to be huge and it's going to be lad. probably but i don't know that i don't know that that's a definite answer well what's the other
18:19Mike Wright:name well trey harris yeah i mean that doesn't you're not taking lat off the field for trey
18:24Andy Holloway:harris very often but if you're talking two outside wide receivers maybe they come in and they like harris on the outside better and then and brendan thompson will be worked in as the their speedster the quote whatever the guy who looks like tyreek hill he's just 20 pounds lighter lighter than tyreek is not and then the keenan will show up right right after
18:46Mike Wright:training camp juan jennings one-year deal with the vikings worth up to 13 million dollars took him a while to sign um eight million in base salary added you know this is this is good for whoever plays quarterback in minnesota there you go um i don't really i mean it doesn't change my opinion of jefferson it doesn't really change my opinion of addison they've had kj osborne there before have you know make significant contributions when both those guys are there to me this is their you know they brought adam thielen back for a small amount of time it's a good third receiver to add to this team. And considering that Hawkinson isn't Hawkinson anymore, like Hawkinson used to represent a ton of volume in the offense, I think he does not anymore.
19:36Mike Wright:So, you know, I don't know if Jennings – like this signing kind of means very little to me, as dumb as that is. I think it's great for Minnesota. Yeah, I agree. It's good for the team.
19:45Jason Moore:Yeah.
19:47Mike Wright:And speaking of J.J. McCarthy, I guess we're reporting that Tom Palacero, Mike's favorite guy, J.J. McCarthy and Kyler Murray will compete for the starting job this summer. Holloway is reporting Kyler will then win that job because the team wants to win games.
20:05Andy Holloway:It is the most likely thing. But how hilarious? How hilarious would it be?
20:13Mike Wright:I can't imagine. Mike is rooting for the hilarity of it. I am.
20:16Andy Holloway:Well, because it's also better for Minnesota. If J.J. McCarthy truly wins the job. It is. And they're like, something clicked. He's the guy we thought he was going to be when we took him in the first round. And then you have your future as opposed to Kyler where it's your team. Minnesota will be better with Kyler. They'll probably make the playoffs. But can they win with him? I don't know.
20:40Mike Wright:As in a Super Bowl. If I told you they're changing quarterbacks after week five, what order is the best? Oh. For fantasy? The order would. Sure.
20:54Andy Holloway:For fantasy, starting McCarthy and then putting Murray in, I think, is better for fantasy.
20:58Jason Moore:I would agree with that. I also think that's better for the Vikings as a franchise. Because if Kyler starts week one, that means that McCarthy did not win the job. Right. And if he doesn't win the job just out the gates, you know, it's not going to go well.
21:18Mike Wright:It is a wild one. because like you said, it would be hilarious if McCarthy won, but then he's got to go win games. Yep. Which he did not look like he knew how to do very much last year.
21:30Jason Moore:Now that Kyler is free of the Cardinals, I do expect a Super Bowl.
21:35Mike Wright:Yeah, I mean, I think you were out on the show that we debated Kyler a lot because we did a bunch of rank check stuff, and I have Kyler fairly low. I think he's good for the team, but I don't think he's going to produce like old Kyler at all. I think he's going to be more of a manager that has some success. I just, for me, I was trying to point out to Jason how long we've watched a bad Kyler. We've watched a pretty bad player for quite a while. I don't know where he ended up in your rankings.
22:04Andy Holloway:I think I have him pretty close to his ADP. Which is? I would have to pull that up now. You're talking to me while my arms are folded. Why are you closing your rankings?
22:13Mike Wright:Why are you closing your – you've got tabs, man. You ever used tabs?
22:17Andy Holloway:I got things to do over here, man.
22:19Mike Wright:What are you watching, Netflix? Keep your rankings up.
22:22Andy Holloway:I got to catch up, man. I got to check on them. You guys are always like, hey, have you seen how far this show is? I'm like, I haven't started it yet.
22:29Mike Wright:Also, another hot tip is you say stuff while you're looking, and you don't even tell people you're looking. You just go like, yeah, I'll tell you what I like about that Kyler Murray. By the way, you remember that one game where you threw that Hail Mary, boom, boom, boom, and then you got him. I got him at 15. Jason has him at like 10. I got him at like 20. so yeah that's about right for kyler 10 15 20 yeah no one knows really what's going to happen we're going to take a break and then we're going to talk some trades
23:01Mike Wright:what's up foot clan you are confident and disciplined and focused on details just like everyone here at the fancy footballers right those are words you'd use to describe us in other words you were made to drive the 2026 Sierra 1500 Denali, a full-size pickup combining capability with elevated design and advanced technology. Now also available with an ESPN Unlimited plan, and for the first time ever, Super Bowl 61. Marquee matchups, MVP quarterbacks, international games, the whole season start to finish. Football's on ESPN.
24:36Jason Moore:Let's talk trades.
24:41Mike Wright:One trade for candidate for dynasty managers, one trade away candidate for dynasty managers from each of us. Right before we recorded this show, we had spent some concerted time attempting to come together and find some consensus sleepers, breakouts, busts, and values for the UDK as we do every year. we did get you know get some names out there guys that we agree on completely but i think for maybe i think the first time in a while like we had some pretty drastically different opinions like it wasn't like hey i'm high on this guy and i'm neutral it was like i'm high on him and i'm super low on him um so it'll be interesting because i think some of the names that we bring up today we have differing opinions uh who wants to go first on the trade for candidate
25:34Jason Moore:i'll kick it off because we kind of mentioned him earlier this episode already um the trade for candidate that i like i think he is not valued in this moment where he should be valued is harold fan and jr tight end for the cleveland browns who was absolutely awesome last year Harold Fanta Jr. he was this collegiate athlete that he didn't play at the biggest program had a lot of production didn't blow you away on film but had so much work in the passing game broke so many tackles it just kind of it always worked for him and you know I said last year I'm gonna I'm gonna bet on it working because I just really believed in him then he comes to the NFL he's playing behind David Njoku and he is awesome he's way better than David Njoku he was statistically better than Tyler Warren better than Loveland like his rookie season was awesome he was the tight end five last year with Shadur Sanders and in this moment I think that people are not very high on him um because you just had the Browns spend you know two top 40 picks on wide receivers.
26:50Jason Moore:So you're like, oh no, now he's losing out. But the wide receivers aren't really competing with Fannin, I don't believe, for the targets in the same area of the field. Not to the degree that David Njoku was. Losing Njoku and gaining rookie wide receivers, to me, allows Fannin to lead this team in targets. He might not, but he certainly has a path where he could. I expect Fannin to be very, very involved. I expect him to lead this team in targets. And where he's going in drafts, you think about when you have a young stud tight end, they are so valuable in Dynasty. You can't pry a Brock Bowers from the cold, dead hands of the manager who has him.
27:36Jason Moore:That's impossible. Right now, Loveland and Warren?
27:40Mike Wright:Rigamortis.
27:40Jason Moore:Yeah, that is why. It has nothing to do with Fannin. Warren and Loveland, there's no way you're getting these guys in a dynasty league. But Fannin's available. If you just look at startup ADP, you're looking at obviously Brock in the first and McBride in the second, Warren in the third. Late fifth is where Fannin is going right now. And I think you can get a hold of him. I think people are willing to trade him away. and he is so young. I mean, he's so young that he had the most. How young is he? It hit me the same way. My point was, I was throwing this stat out. To give you an example of how young he is.
28:28Jason Moore:He had the most receptions ever for a tight end before turning 22. He is a baby boy. He's going to be good for a long time. Is the quarterback situation great? No. Did they just bring in two wide receivers? Yes. but these are the reasons why you can acquire Fannin. If Fannin is just that dude and they figure out a quarterback, maybe not this year, maybe next year, but you're going to have six-plus years of Fannin being very relevant for fantasy.
28:58Mike Wright:Yeah, I feel like maybe we – I don't think we hold the quarterback situation to so much scrutiny when it's the tight ends. I feel like you look at Concepcion in Boston and you want to see them have a breakout year. Maybe that's not in the cards because you don't believe in Shadour. But like last year, in a year where Fannin had success, it was a lot of Dylan Gabriel, right? And you had some Joe Flacco mixed in. And then you had Shadour Sanders, the Pro Bowler. And, you know, Jerry Judy was still out there soaking up targets. And he's still on this team. So, and Najoku was there. So, yeah, I think Fannin, I think the most compelling thing is just how much room there is for him to grow and how much time you'll probably get in productivity for a dynasty roster.
29:45Jason Moore:Yeah, whenever you've got someone that young who is productive in college, who comes to the NFL, and at that age is that productive in the NFL, he's good. Just bet on the talent, the longevity of the Browns and what the situation is around him. That's going to change, but he is super talented.
30:03Mike Wright:would you rather have Loveland and Warren
30:06Jason Moore:I think I would rather have Loveland and Warren yes but you can't really trade for those guys and I think that Fannin could be completely
30:15Andy Holloway:at the end of the year I'm with you that you can acquire Fannin much easier I guess I was even thinking
30:22Mike Wright:I think at the end of the year it is not impossible would you trade Warren
30:26Jason Moore:sure like Warren in a first next year? I would do that, yeah.
30:33Mike Wright:Mike, do you want to tell us who you're trading for?
30:36Jason Moore:Are we going all three trade for?
30:39Andy Holloway:You tell me. What's the rules?
30:40Mike Wright:Who's hosting this show?
30:42Andy Holloway:I'm going to go with my trade away. Oh, are you? I don't want it to just be like the end of the show. This guy stinks!
30:49Mike Wright:I like it.
30:50Andy Holloway:Alright, my trade away. He doesn't stink, but we're playing Dynasty Fantasy Football. I'm going with DJ Moore. New wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills as my trade-away candidate. He's 29. He's entering year nine. This is such a good call, Mike.
31:07Mike Wright:And since when is it worth trading away like a veteran star that went to Buffalo to acquire something better?
31:17Andy Holloway:Exactly. Shout out to Murray Cooper. You got me everything. This is not the – I'm DJ Moore. I will be productive on this team. Like he will, he will give you fantasy points this year. It's just about his, what will he actually give you versus what someone in your league is going to believe about him. He's on the Buffalo bills. You know, it's like guys go to the bills or the chiefs and we still automatically launch them to the moon for fantasy purposes, even though, you know, we've been disappointed far more than we have hit on guys like Rasheed Rice. but so in in 2024 Allen became the first top five fantasy quarterback without a top 36 scoring wide receiver you feel like well DJ Moore can come in and do that sure he can be in the top 36 but the point is Josh Allen gets things done without having to hyper focus on a single target in 2025 DJ Moore set career lows in a number of categories we're talking receptions receiving yards yards per route run down at 1.33 and forced missed tackles dj moore the elusive very slippery like makes things happen with the ball in his hands he forced four missed tackles like the yards after contact it has just it was not there this past year so i'm on the side of i don't think it automatically bounces back for dj moore i think that last year was more of an indication that we're coming to the end.
32:53Andy Holloway:Wide receivers, the age, he's at that age too where things can go south real, real fast. He's 29. He's changing locations. We've looked at fantasy players who have changed teams in year nine. There is one hit. Guys, it didn't work. Randall Cobb, Marvin Jones, Allen Robinson, Beckham, Cooper Cup. The one hit, Devontae Adams. You want to know why? 180 targets. I'm not expecting 180 targets to come through here for DJ Moore. If I can trade him away and start getting ready for the future, I would rather do that than have him expiring on my team.
33:35Jason Moore:I feel like if you have DJ Moore, you have to be trying to trade him away. Imagine what happened before this Bills trade. You have a 29-year-old wide receiver who looks like he's done and going to give you nothing. You couldn't get any value for him the trade to Buffalo is like oh my gosh yeah the window I got I I hit the jackpot not because you get that version of DJ Moore but because now you can now you can actually sell him and cash in get some get some youth there because I don't think this is a I don't think he's going to be bad on Buffalo but he's not going to be pushing someone over the top to a
34:09Mike Wright:championship right now I mean the one guy that succeeded in that transfer was a true alpha number one that hadn't ever left that you know being that for his franchise dj moore has made the migration from the focal point of offenses to an ancillary piece of offenses and in the last handful of years being used in the backfield i don't know what like why is he not used downfield that much he ends up making these big downfield plays but it's not that much not like it used to be in carolina he's definitely gone to this place of like i'm a piece of the offense i'm not the whole offense but you could make the argument that because the names in buffalo are so bad around him that you can be like he's just the one and he's not he's not only added skyler bell
34:49Andy Holloway:in the fourth round so it's like he is he should be the de facto number one wide receiver but what does that does that even get you into the top 20 i don't think it will i mean the worst
35:02Mike Wright:case scenario when you trade dj more is that he has a pretty good year and then stinks next year right yeah i mean that's kind of the worst case you're near the beginning of the end if you can
35:10Jason Moore:get a 27 first for dj more yeah if you can find someone to to give that up thinking they've got
35:15Mike Wright:a superstar with josh allen i would pull the trigger my trade for candidate okay is going to be jacksonville jaguars quarterback trevor lawrence man the horse boy the time is now for too long. Last year, I mean, sometimes you have to just go back and read the full stat line of the previous year to reset what they accomplished. Jason obviously didn't do that with Drake May, otherwise he wouldn't have ranked him the way he did. But Trevor Lawrence had 4 ,000 yards, 29 touchdowns, and nine rushing touchdowns last year on this team. Because he's a horse. Because he's out of the stables. quarterbacks with 4 ,000 passing yards 29 touchdowns and 9 rushing touchdowns in the same year.
36:03Mike Wright:There's only been two. Josh Allen in 2023 and Trevor Lawrence last year he became a true goal line runner this team keeps acquiring additional running back pieces that aren't quite everything Chris Rodriguez Bashal Tootin now they added Amir Abdullah Trevor Lawrence's role around the goal line I think they learned something last year. I love Liam Cohen's offense. And if you look at him as a passer, he still has room to take another step. I think there's going to be a lot of opinions. I think Mike has some of them that what they accomplished this year is going to be tough to repeat. I love the weapons that they have.
36:38Mike Wright:His yards per pass attempt was in line with his career average. That wasn't a weird outlier. His touchdown rate was 5.2%. That wasn't crazy, slightly above league average. He threw 12 interceptions. That was the fifth most in the league. He could improve that by one or two at least and 8.6 percent of his passes were dropped we the whole story of brian thomas jr was how incompetent he was it wasn't lawrence's incompetence that made brian thomas jr bad it was that btj literally dropped the ball that is the highest rate over the last four years in terms of percentage of passes dropped and he put up a season the kind of season he just had they lost travis hunter through the year which i don't know if you've seen the most recent interview with their general manager i did it's still and he came out and he said i still hear what i'm hearing he came out and
37:25Andy Holloway:said he's going to be used on offense yes that was again that's never the question it was but then he's like oh i think that what will change is the uptick at cornerback right he will and he will play an uptick at cornerback to me means a a downtick well they tried to ask him that directly
37:41Mike Wright:and he said no it doesn't mean that at all uh so whether he's lying or not we'll see um but we Parker Washington emerged over the back half of the year. Britton Strange was hurt for half of the year. This offense with and because of the evolution of Trevor Lawrence and because of Liam Cohen's presence, to me it checks tons of boxes for your Dynasty League. Young quarterback in his prime, runs the football on a good offense, best play caller, and probably being undervalued in trade circles because there are younger, sexier names. And Trevor Lawrence, we've been around the block and been annoyed for so long in Dynasty.
38:15Mike Wright:you have to make the choice now in dynasty whether you believe he's leveled up and his situation is great i believe he's made that change i think you can get him um cheaper than you normally could get
38:25Andy Holloway:a qb that i think is a top six dynasty qb i'm not as bullish as you are but i'm like if i had to make a choice i'd say i'm more on your side of it i i factor baker mayfield's two years ago when he was with Cohen I take that as like part of the sample size for Trevor Lawrence of how all of a sudden Baker's like got all these rushing touchdowns well all of a sudden Trevor Lawrence has all these rushing touchdowns and they're just having you know their best year with with this guy and it was only his first year in the system the nice thing is Cohen didn't leave Lawrence like he left right it took till the second part of the year but it in the second half it really started coming together for for the horse boy and the jaguar so i i do find myself open to the idea that that trevor lawrence is a a decent target and man i was looking at guys the quarterbacks which this is an indictment of ourselves as well they're getting old for nfl years i mean allen is 30 lamar's gonna to be 30.
39:33Andy Holloway:Mahomes is 30. Herbert is 28. Joe Burrow's going to be 30. We got the new breed coming along. They need to get it going because when I saw how many of our dudes are 30. 30's okay.
39:46Mike Wright:30 you got four or five easy good years left.
39:48Jason Moore:You hope so, but here's what's crazy.
39:50Mike Wright:Don't be influenced by Tom Brady. No, I'm not influenced by him, but
39:54Jason Moore:I just saw a list of the current age of all the starting quarterbacks, and it was pretty wild because you had Stafford at like 38. okay. And then it was like a gap where it's like Geno and then Dak as like 33. And there's not a lot of guys playing at 35 years old.
40:11Andy Holloway:That's what I'm saying. It's more uncommon for you to be in your mid-30s and still slinging, giving us real good fantasy value.
40:20Mike Wright:Am I too biased by the Breeze and Manning and Brady and those guys? I don't know. The Hall of Famers? Rogers.
40:27Andy Holloway:I mean, it's like, well, you know, Allen's probably a Hall of Famer. Mahomes I mean certainly it's like is Burrow and Lamar are they on the trajectory they're yeah I mean Lamar certainly yeah Lamar is I don't I don't know if Burrow is I mean Burrow's at least gotten to a Super Bowl I mean Lamar has two MVPs yeah he does it yeah I
40:49Mike Wright:mean I think I think Lamar's on the way I I don't know about Burrow but Burrow's also played half the games yeah these other guys at 30 so um no I think Lawrence it's time to have the conversation and enjoy hopefully what we wanted for so many years of undeveloped Trevor Lawrence. So we'll take a break. Jason knew I was going to take a break. He didn't want to talk and have me cut him off.
41:12Jason Moore:Not today, Satan.
41:13Mike Wright:We'll turn it over to him in just a minute.
41:19Andy Holloway:Football season is back, and whether you're tracking your lineups or cheering on your favorite team, DirecTV makes it easy to catch all your pro and college football action in one place. 42:10Mike Wright:terms apply all right foot clan whether you are on the go or at home t-mobile well they're built to keep you connected wherever you're scouting your fantasy team and that on the go part that is important with america's best network you'll be connected to the latest news and player projections so when you're on the clock you can draft a winning team i can think of so many situations where that element of being connected while you're on the go is fundamental to fantasy football success. I'm in the midst of multiple leagues right now where I am responding to trade offers. We are massaging the trade offer.
42:41Mike Wright:We want to make sure that I'm the one that gets the player, not another player manager in our league. So trade offers when you're on the go, all the news that's breaking so you don't make a mistake. And my favorite thing, maybe I'll mention it. Look, you're sitting and you have a quiet moment somewhere out and about. You want to jump in the UDK. We've got the player profiles. You can watch all of those in there with T-Mobile. You can jump in on the player projections and our stat projections and all the 130 ,000 words of content. Again, T-Mobile making that easy to do. Every bit of news, things are changing all the time.
43:14Mike Wright:New player contracts, all that good stuff. So from off season to game day, every play is better with T-Mobile. What you got to do is visit T-Mobile.com slash network. Fastest is based on analysis by ukla of speed test intelligence data of national speed score results for the second half of 2025 the best mobile network in the u.s is based on analysis by ukla of speed test intelligence data second half of 2025 all right we are in the middle of dynasty week talking about trade foreign trade away candidates for dynasty leagues and jason you are up i have a trade away
43:53Jason Moore:candidate of a guy I love. Prove it. He's a 25-year-old wide receiver who is just a top five. What are you doing? You didn't know this name was in there? No, I did not.
44:05Mike Wright:When I saw it, I thought of you, Mike, and how you were going to have a problem.
44:08Jason Moore:Well, let me talk to you here, Mike.
44:10Mike Wright:You're not going to convince him.
44:11Jason Moore:That's fine. But the reason that I am wanting to trade this guy away is because I think he has peaked his best year of fantasy of all time and he's still young was last year and it was a my guy for me it was george pickens just turned 25 year old george that's the point i'm not was with a capital w yeah i mean look obviously you know who we want to trade away is every aging wide receiver before the the floor falls out from under them i don't you know those are those are a little bit easier to see coming with George Pickens what I care about here is last year was really really really inflated by the four-week stretch that CeeDee Lamb missed CeeDee Lamb missed three games and really four because he played nine percent of snaps in one of them in those games he was the wide receiver 16 the wide receiver two the wide receiver 19 and the wide receiver one and was just wrecking everybody those numbers really helped him have an outrageously high fantasy finish
45:18Andy Holloway:what about when he was the widest you were three four and 17 in three weeks in a row well i mean
45:23Jason Moore:on the field if you want if you want to look now keep going what what about the other weeks where he where everybody thought that the floor had fallen out and he was yes there yeah 39 63 bad
45:35Andy Holloway:weeks. The player is good.
45:38Jason Moore:The reason that I'm using him as a tradeaway candidate is simply because he carries so much value right now. He's going to be really good for fantasy this year, and he's 25 years old, but he's probably playing for another team. I mean, maybe they sign him to a long-term deal, but he's on a franchise tag right now, right? So first of all, I don't think he repeats last year's success. Is C.D.
46:00Mike Wright:Lamb on those other teams he's going to get? Is C.D. Lamb
46:02Jason Moore:on the other franchises? How was he for Pittsburgh? Because, yeah, he was the wide receiver five this last year.
46:09Andy Holloway:Pittsburgh's different, man.
46:10Jason Moore:No, I'm just saying you don't know that it's going to be a good team that he goes to, and we've seen so many examples of the big free agent change at wide receiver not really working out when they get to another team. There's a reason. I love him as a cowboy. There is a reason he was a my guy last year, because he fits Dak perfectly. And should he sign a long-term deal here, which I think people trying to trade for George Pickens would really, really love. That'd be great. It's tough. I don't know how the money works. The previous three years, he's the wide receiver 36, 26, 41. Yes, he's young.
46:45Jason Moore:Yes, he was the wide receiver five. I think that is the best season he'll ever have, and I think you can get an absolute haul for him. I think that's what it comes down to, and I don't know what that translates to. I'm not saying get out of George Pickens. He's awesome. I'm saying get as much as you can for George Pickens.
47:06Andy Holloway:He's in a weird spot, though. The one-year deal makes him tough. Well, I'm saying you're not going to be able to take George Pickens and then get one of the – You're not getting Jamar. You're not getting JSN. You might be able to get London. I think there's a chance. But you're not taking George without adding a ton to move into the category of the Jamars. That's almost an impossible place to get in dynasty trades. So you're almost certainly trading down a tier.
47:38Jason Moore:I actually think you can. The names he was just mentioning, I think you can trade George Pickens plus a little bit into a Tet McMillan, into a Drake London. I would much rather have those two. Much, much rather have those two guys. We were talking Carolina.
47:52Andy Holloway:We have a very strong difference of opinion of the Panthers and Ted Earl McMillan's outlook.
47:58Jason Moore:Yeah, so I would rather have London by wide margins, and I don't think you have to pay that large of a margin to add. Probably get a Mecca of Bucca. Yeah, I think you could get a Mecca of Bucca for Turkey. That's a scary trade. I would do that. And you might be able to, you know, an injured neighbors, if you had a first, you've got a young wide receiver, and a first, maybe you could squeeze something like that out. I think you could potentially do that. And so that's where I'm saying I'm only selling him if I can really capitalize on the value because I don't think he's a top 10 wide receiver again ever in fantasy.
48:41Oh, okay.
48:44Mike Wright:Where do you have him ranked for 2026 right now? No, I'm kidding. Don't ask me about my ranking.
48:50Jason Moore:I have him ranked at 16
48:53Mike Wright:wide receiver 16 Mike has a 64 digit password he has to type every time you want to look at his name
48:58Andy Holloway:I have to forget password every single time I have him at 18 George I got him at 9 see that's the thing numerically yeah he's wide receiver 18 but in terms of points how far he is off of that it's not a massive gap and he will give you so many spike weeks. He will give you spike weeks. He will have time where he will disappear and CeeDee Lamb will go, but they're going to have games where George will go and CeeDee will disappear. And I think it balances out. I still prefer CeeDee Lamb, but I don't know by how much.
49:34Jason Moore:In the games with CeeDee Lamb, he averaged 12.4 fantasy points per game, which is good. That is not great. 21.2 fantasy points in those games without him.
49:45Mike Wright:What did CeeDee Lamb average with George Pickens?
49:48Jason Moore:I don't have that data in front of me
49:51Mike Wright:You're supposed to have all data in front of you What did I just tell you about Mike? I'm looking for my password When I ask you something, you have to know it immediately
49:58Andy Holloway:CeeDee Lamb started very strong Well, it took George a little bit of time But then he got hurt We don't really have, I think, a good enough sample of those two To know what's really going to happen
50:09Mike Wright:I think Pickens did some things last year that Lamb doesn't do well
50:13Andy Holloway:Yes, I agree
50:14Mike Wright:I think Lamb, utilization-wise, it's going to be very interesting.
50:18Andy Holloway:I think both George and Seedy this year, assuming there's no weird offseason stuff because of the franchise, that still does concern me. But if we go in, easily could both be in the top 12.
50:33Mike Wright:Mike, you get to say, did you figure that number out?
50:37Jason Moore:Looks like it was 13.5 fantasy points per game from week 7 through 17. That's the easiest way I can see for Seedy. Yeah, I mean, that takes away his...
50:45Mike Wright:12.5 to 13 by 4?
50:46Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, it's tough because I'm not including the first two games where he averaged 15 fantasy points in those games. It's just hard to do here on the fly. Yes.
50:56Andy Holloway:All right, my trade for it's another Jacksonville Jaguar. I'm in on Bayshall Tootin. Thank you, Jason. You're welcome. And it's why I think he's a good trade for a candidate is because there still is, the ground is shaky. and this is not a firm foundation where you're like yep everyone knows it's going to be tootin because crowd is still there they brought him in a decent running back got there yes he a decent running back from washington could be the the goal line running back we don't know but here's
51:28Mike Wright:chris rodriguez yes crowd and they just signed amir abdullah this morning oh man sneaky abdullah he is a little sneaky he's annoyingly did they really sign amir yeah yeah this guy has a he has a great career. He's played for so long. When the medical benefits and the pension stuff heads up, he's loaded. He outlasted David Johnson.
51:54Andy Holloway:By a lot. By a lot. NFL is wild. Low reps helps.
52:00Jason Moore:He's going into his 12th season at running back? What?
52:04Mike Wright:Yeah, baby.
52:05Jason Moore:The Abdullah Express!
52:07Mike Wright:Abdullah was basically his drafting that year was the beginning of the show. Yeah. Oh, man. Yeah.
52:15Andy Holloway:That's true.
52:16Mike Wright:Fun fact, we used to have
52:17Andy Holloway:Abdullah Express mini posters. Oh, man. It was almost great. So, he did not see a ton of work. You know, you had... Talking about Tootin? Yes. Back to Bachelot Tootin. You had Travis H.N. Jr. there as the primary guy. But in terms of actual efficiency, among the... 55 qualified running guys. Baysall Tootin was 5th in rush success rate, 5th in percent of yards after contact, and he was tied with Brees Hall for 11th in forced missed tackle rate. As in, yeah, it's a low volume, but he was very efficient. He was very good with it. He was awesome inside the five. So you can look at Tootin's yards per carry, and it's a little bit low.
53:03Andy Holloway:Seven of his carries were inside the five, and five of those turned into touchdowns. maybe that's a little scary for regression of he was too successful but i think combining everything that we have seen basial didn't do it's this looks like this is a solid running back but he was drafted in the fourth round and so just how good he was and then the competition crowd aka chris rodriguez when you if you're talking receptions three seasons the nfl he has six receptions talking about crowd like there i don't think we have that that would be lequant
53:36Jason Moore:Allen as the pass catcher.
53:38Mike Wright:I mean, I think what I saw on the field last year that I liked the most was Tootin's receiving. That's what I actually like. My biggest concern is speaking from somebody not making him a trade for candidate. My biggest concern is that he's not really going to be able to handle being the dude and that this team and the addition of Abdullah even solidifies, like, Hey, we're going to just do this by committee. And you know, 300 rushing yards as a rookie, they're not going to give him that opportunity. I'm not saying I think that's going to happen. I just don't know.
54:11Andy Holloway:No, you are right, which is why you can possibly trade for him. Because if no one thought that, then Basial Tootin would be on a rocket ship for his fantasy, for his dynasty rankings. And you still have to be hesitant. Even I am. But the body of work, what we saw with the opportunity in front of him and the players who are behind him it seems like he will be the main guy in a very high scoring offense as we're projecting for the jaguar so i think it's worth a shot i'm i'm not overpaying but i'm i'm trying to get him on my team is it my turn it is so i have to be negative now yeah uh but you were just
54:54Mike Wright:positive i was yeah and look we've actually talked about this in the studio quite a bit i don't know if you guys knew this was the name that I was bringing up on today's show. It better not be George Pickens. It's Devante Adams.
55:05Andy Holloway:Okay, that's fine.
55:07Mike Wright:It is time to cash out for whatever they're going to give you.
55:11Andy Holloway:Jason, two of these three guys are on our Dino Junior team.
55:15Jason Moore:Well, let's take the advice and try to make some moves. It's too late. We've already told everyone. We've got until the episode releases in the morning, Mike.
55:22Mike Wright:Let's get to work. I'm so out on Devante Adams. You are.
55:28Jason Moore:You are. You are. I think your quote off air earlier was it's not the beginning. I was like, so you think this is going to be the beginning of the end? And you're like, no, last year was the beginning of the end. This year is like the end.
55:41Mike Wright:Last year you had the touchdown insanity, which, I mean, look, this was the best season anybody's ever had inside the five-yard line as a wide receiver. I don't want to take anything away from what he was able to accomplish there. 14 touchdowns is insane. and he missed two games let's be clear that was the season for davante adams he had three 60 yeah he missed three games he had 60 total receptions for this team in 789 yards this team seemed primed and ready to trade him away if a good offer came they're in the same boat dynasty managers are you should cash in on a davante adams 14 touchdown season because he is 33.3 years old that is a big deal um players they decline we had we had a whole dynasty life cycle article by by marv um marvin eloquent on our site that talked about look the biggest decline in fantasy point production came from age 32 to 33 30 decline in points per game looking at demarius thomas and aj green and julio jones and brandon marshall and it doesn't matter the name time catches up that's why this team was ready to make moves in other directions this offseason if they needed to because two things you don't get better with age but you do get more injured more often and Adams has dealt with that as well so you've got injury risk I would bet my life he doesn't score 14 times again and I highly doubt that he's going to go way way higher in the total yardage total getting a year older when historically that doesn't generally happen um this is the second fewest yards ever for a 14 touchdown season so uh shout out to the uh james jones 2012 season oh yeah 14 touchdowns with i mean you had an mvp season from your quarterback right that not the last four every
57:40Jason Moore:year the last four years of matthew stafford on the rams 3.3 percent touchdown rate 4.6 3.9 7.7 I mean we that's not it's not happening again and we we see this we have so much data on this great all-time quarterbacks Brady Manning Breeze this happens to all of them they have these outlier crazy touchdown rate years and they don't keep doing it the next year so I actually think this is a brilliant trade away it's it's it's low-hanging fruit because he's an old wide receiver but because he just got all those touchdowns it's like you can cash in i mean you
58:21Mike Wright:you get to make those arguments in the positive of you've got the mvp at quarterback and you're on the best offense with the best play caller and you just scored 14 times and you missed three games like you can just say it like that yeah go to someone will want to trade with you go to a
58:33Jason Moore:contender you're obviously not going to trade devante adams to any rebuilding team so be wise look at your league see who is really capable of winning a championship and see what they're willing to give up for Adams.
58:46Andy Holloway:It would take a full rewatch. I can't speak to the film. Numbers wise. He caught 53 % of his targets from Matthew Stafford. It just seems weird. He had two years. For his career, by the way, he's a 63 % catch rate. He had the two years in Las Vegas where he was just bombarded with targets. He caught 56 % of them in 2022. I think that was the Derek Carr year. And then 59%. And that's the Aiden O 'Connell year. To go down to 53%, something just seems off. And maybe it's the decline. Maybe the athleticism is slightly starting to go to the point where the cornerbacks can catch up. But 53%, it seems too low.
59:41Andy Holloway:It's very funky. His touchdown rate is way too high, but the catch percentage is too low. So maybe it meets in the middle.
59:48Mike Wright:There's certainly a world where he's totally fine for this year. I mean, you can get by with, oh, okay, he scores 10 times because they draw that stuff up for him and he has 700 yards again. They didn't, you know, Mekhi Lemon, that was a team we thought could draft. Mekhi Lemon, they didn't do that, right? Like they don't have the next heir apparent, which is why he didn't get traded. But, I mean, how long is this window? The math doesn't math. You know what I mean? Maybe you get by with a touchdown-dependent season this year, but you certainly are not going to be able to trade a 34-year-old Devontae Adams if he declines this year.
1:00:20Mike Wright:So to me, I'd take your shot at it, trade him to a contender under the promise of being able to contribute for a couple years with an MVP, and there you go. So we have more trade targets in the Dynasty Pass, which you can get. That's part of the UDK Plus at ultimatedraftkit.com, lowest price possible before June 1st.
