Key claims
- Narrow wins matter; they discuss a razor-thin victory driven by Hunter Henry’s late production and other near-misses.
- For waivers, prioritize either playoff-upside or immediate spot-start needs due to Week 14 byes.
- Streaming/waiver targets hinge on injuries and matchups (e.g., Tracy injury boosts Devin Singletary; potential Amon-Ra absence boosts rookie/rookie-like options).
Notable examples
- Waiver RBs: Devin Singletary; Trey Benson concern (possible season-ending setback); Chris Rodriguez vs. Jaden Daniels uncertainty; Bam Knight; Kyle Mononga.
- Waiver WRs: Isaac “Teslaw” (Jared?—discussed as rookie with 94% route participation); Don’t drop Brian Thomas Jr.; Mike Evans vs. Godwin snap-count concerns.
- TE: Darren Waller over Brenton Strange; mention Harold Fannin.
- Defense: Tampa Bay as top pickup; Saints also highlighted; Dallas matchups noted.
- Streaming QB: Jared Goff called an “unbelievable stream.”

1:35Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
1:52Mike Wright:Welcome in.
1:55Jason Moore:Jason's alive. Yeah, baby. L-I-V-I-N. But barely. Oh, my goodness.
2:03Mike Wright:Welcome in.
2:04Jason Moore:It's on cloud nine, brother.
2:06Mike Wright:Tuesday, December 2nd. Oh, my goodness.
2:12Jason Moore:That game.
2:13Mike Wright:We have all three of us here today, which I wasn't sure was going to be the case, but everything went well for Jason.
2:19Jason Moore:Everything went well for me. I only shared the Hunter Henry side of things, which was the primary thing. I needed Hunter Henry. Which he tried so hard to score a touchdown. Oh, man. Right off the bat, the beginning of the game, it's like, well, I'm dead. He's going to get a huge bomb touchdown. Thank you for stopping that touchdown. Was that right off the face mask?
2:38Mike Wright:Or was that another one?
2:39Jason Moore:No, that was another one. There were several huge opportunities here. And he still had a good game. He still had a great game. He scored about half a point less than he needed to. Hunter, great work, man.
2:50Mike Wright:Wait, did you only win by like half a point? Oh, yeah.
2:52Jason Moore:I think it was one point something. Unbelievable. Yeah, it was a very close victory.
2:57Mike Wright:Now, it's so important for you to remember moments like this. Yes. Because these are the ones fantasy players forget. They forget their narrow wins and their good fortune on a Monday night. They only remember the devastating losses.
3:09Jason Moore:We've had so many one-point losses this year, so this was great to have some luck, some fortune on my side. But then, not only did I win and get median, because Theo Johnson just barely didn't do enough, but then there was one other... Yes, he dropped a touchdown. He makes that. I don't get median. But then there was another... My opponent, who was chasing after me for the playoffs, was playing against Papa Josh's team, and unfortunately, my opponent went off. scored like 150 he was the highest score in the league and uh was gonna win and so i i can't clinch and drake may baby yeah without throwing a touchdown to hunter henry goes and puts up yeah you had a perfect night just enough i think they you did you guys even win by one point it was like a razor's edge so i walked a tightrope and you and i did not fall you did not fall i would uh
4:01Andy Holloway:like to share some of the stuff i can share from our company slack okay um but you were just it Jason was stressing out. I mean, we were all on this ride together watching the touchdown that gets called back, all these end zone targets that just keep narrowly missing. And Jason's talking about, he's like, I can't be more clenched than I am right now. And we got to the point where he says, my butthole is no longer openable. Oh, my God. He said that? He was so close. Oh, my gosh. I'm going to have to get a surgery just to reopen. I've been clenched so hard for so long.
4:42Jason Moore:I thought you weren't going to watch. My family couldn't talk to me because I was just like I couldn't have emotion. Even after the game when everything went perfect, I couldn't really celebrate because I was so locked down. I was just like.
4:57Mike Wright:So unbelievable that it worked out. It was impossible.
5:02Jason Moore:The narrow misses.
5:03Mike Wright:Yeah. Yeah, it was awesome.
5:05Jason Moore:Yeah, so I'm taking this week off. It doesn't matter anymore.
5:09Mike Wright:Jason is locked in, and we are locked in. We got a waiver show for you today. We have an announcement here. We've got our Megalodon winners, and there's a lot going on. I mean, we have our streaming quarterbacks as well. One week left to the fantasy playoffs for the majority of leagues. I did notice on Twitter somebody made the comment, I noticed you guys have been noticeably quiet about your chopped league lately. That's because we're all chopped. What league? What is dead can't talk? No. I was trying to hold on to it for a little while. I don't even remember that thing. These two guys were chopped early.
5:44Andy Holloway:We were led to the guillotine. Yeah.
5:46Mike Wright:The revolution did not work. I think I was 17-team league, and I think I was the eighth to last or something like that. And then the league's gone. When you lose and you're out, that league never existed to begin with. I literally don't know what you're talking about.
6:00Andy Holloway:So Kyle has updated us. Kyle is still active.
6:04Mike Wright:Oh, Betsy just went down this past week.
6:06Andy Holloway:We have our writers, Joe and Marv, still alive, and Schneider. Schneider, one of our developers. My co-manager.
6:14Mike Wright:That's right.
6:15Andy Holloway:You should have co-managed his team.
6:17Mike Wright:And those teams are super stacked at this point. Oh, yeah, yeah. Let's go ahead and let's announce these Megalodon winners with some fanfare. Do we have an announcement? We had a Jamar Chase signed jersey. By the way, thank you to everybody that got hashtag triple gobble into the trending topics on Twitter. It's really kind of the pinnacle goal of our lives every year. So Jamar Chase signed jersey. That one goes to at in Shandradat, also known as Navin. So congratulations on that. Josh Jacobs signed jersey. That one goes to Airy B93. And Colston Loveland signed mini helmet.
6:56Andy Holloway:That one goes to Noah at Masto 1332.
7:00Mike Wright:Mr. Loveland. Mr. Loveland. Somebody said only Colson Loveland would have two of the best nicknames of the year. Patston Dogland. Yeah, and Mr. Loveland. Mr.
7:11Andy Holloway:Loveland is.
7:12Jason Moore:That's Mr. Loveland.
7:14Mike Wright:That one is top tier. Yeah, it's pretty fun. You can follow the show on X at the FF Ballers on Instagram, Instagram.com slash fantasyfootballers, and make sure you are subscribed on YouTube so that you can be a part of all our live events on top of the episodes as well. YouTube.com slash TheFantasyFootballers. One slight other update from Monday Night Football before we break it down and get into the waivers. Yeah, there's some stuff to talk about in the game. Yes, yeah, yeah. I meant breaking the game down. Ah, yes. Breaking the game down. But I just – one other thing that was going on last night is that we had our prize picks fantasy face-off last Friday.
7:52Mike Wright:Jason and I picked – Well, Thursday. or sorry yeah on on thanksgiving oh yeah so wednesday was when we predicted and then thursday the games played jason and i ended up tying uh-huh so we're like well let's tie break this let's go into sunday we tied again and then we're like let's tie break this let's go into monday but let's pick five picks on monday to figure out who the shame is jason went three for five i went two for five so i am the shame uh i had the one that broke me was wandale i had him eight and a half targets he had eight targets in the beginning of the fourth brutal and just never got another target so jason wide open all yeah all four like literally threaded the needle there too like you won it was a it was a perfect on top of everything but the Patriots 33 the Giants 15 Giants now 2 and 11 Patriots 11 and 2 Drake May 282 and 2 in a clean whooping that's what I call it it was clean whooping it was and then yeah I mean you disagree
8:56Jason Moore:well I the the clean part I feel like it was you know there was there was some hits that were so violent I feel they were clean though I didn't understand can you guys explain to me the the the one that knocked out uh um uh gunner um the the punt return yeah you just didn't want to say yeah thank you um the the hit that knocked him out that caused the fumble that really at that point in the game just really turned the tides um the the the special you know ref helper came on and said well he was a runner so he does he's not protected from hits to the head but it was
9:35Andy Holloway:straight helmet to helmet yeah but you can do that you can straight helmet to helmet oh yeah what yeah if you're a runner i was unaware that you could spear someone in the helmet with your helmet you can't do it to a quarterback and you can't do it to someone defenseless receiver someone catching the ball right as they're catching it yeah but i mean helmet to helmet happens

9:55Mike Wright:all the time yeah the jackson dart hit on the sideline which was an annihilation
9:59Andy Holloway:dude i mean yeah it's just on dart dart jackson dart well he doesn't seem ready to make a change
10:07Mike Wright:he said this is football i've played this way my whole life we're not playing soccer take turn on my high school tape turn on my college tape this is not a shocker to anybody it will be a shocker
10:16Andy Holloway:to your future self yeah okay a couple notes on that like yeah you could get away with it in high school and college because you were the 1 % elite athlete. Everyone in the NFL is the elite 1 % athlete, even the guys who suck.
10:33Mike Wright:You were the Cam Newton of your high school. You were the Cam Newton of your college. You're not that with. And we're not saying don't run. Look at the guy, Lamar.
10:41Jason Moore:Pick your battles. We say this all the time to our kids. Choose your battles. You've got to know when to not have to fight for the extra yard. And on that one, he wasn't going to get the first down. he was just trying to get closer to the first down step out of bounds man just step out yeah and instead he went to outer space but he got i mean that hit was awesome that was borderline
11:03Andy Holloway:helicopter yeah yeah it was awesome the because it's like we're all especially new york fans but i i believe nfl fans in general maybe not you want jackson dart we all want jackson dart to be great We want all these new franchise quarterbacks to be. It's like even with all the weird talk of Shadour, if Shadour's a starter, we want him to be great. Tyler Shuck, we want him to be great. We want a great NFL product, and you will take that away from us if you don't protect yourself at least a little bit.
11:36Mike Wright:Travion and Ramondre. Oh, my gosh. 12 carries for Ramondre, 11 for Travion. Travion with 67 yards and a 26-yard run. Ramondre with a 40-yard night. He did have three catches for 40 more yards. He had three catches for 19.
11:54Andy Holloway:He had a huge catch, great design play where he leaked out and got a huge gain. It was like Henderson probably doesn't score on that play, but if that play is Henderson, he burns the first guy. He would have to simply beat one man, and he would have scored. It's going to be what it is. They are a winning team. They're 11-2. They might be the best team in football.
12:16Mike Wright:Eight different pass catchers, seven of them with three or more catches, spreading the ball around. And the one that didn't have three was Kyle Williams, who had a pretty sick touchdown. Did you guys think that was a touchdown? Which one?
12:29Jason Moore:Yeah, the left foot when he first caught the ball was already down.
12:34Mike Wright:I watched it like 10 times this morning, and I know what you're saying, Jay. Yeah, because his knee— The debate was whether he had real possession at the time. Totally. And I was not, man, I was not convinced watching the replay.
12:44Jason Moore:So my opinion on that play, because once he goes down out of bounds, his knee touches out of bounds before the presumptive second foot gets down. So it's really just a matter of whether or not he had possession when that foot was down prior.
13:00Mike Wright:Yeah. And I thought it was very debatable.
13:02Jason Moore:To me, it was very debatable. It was bang, bang. But ruling on the field. One, ruling on the field. So you have to uphold that. And two, it was awesome. Yes. Thank you. That was going to be my third point. When you do something awesome that's so debatable, Ty goes to the yes. Ty goes to the cool.
13:20Mike Wright:Ty goes to the awesome. Yes, Ty goes to the awesome. Yeah, that would be great if they got out and they said, honestly, we looked at it, kind of 50-50 here. That play was awesome. Play was pretty dope, so we're going to let it stand. Touchdown. Let's get into the news.
13:36Jason Moore:News and notes from around the league. Presented by Progressive Insurance.
13:42Mike Wright:One of my tie-breaking prize picks that I missed out on was due to Tyrone Tracy being injured in this game. I had taken a lower number on Singletary. Tyrone Tracy left with a hip injury, didn't return. Makes Devin Singletary a very interesting waiver pickup because of the bye week coming up for New York.
14:02Andy Holloway:We'll get into it, but it's a tough decision. He did.
14:06Mike Wright:Justin Herbert underwent surgery on Monday morning, which is not necessarily what I like to do right before I play another game. But the team is calling him day-to-day ahead of Monday Night Football. They say it's going to be a pain tolerance issue for him to be out there on Monday. For fantasy players, I do not have that kind of pain tolerance to play Herbert off of surgery against the Eagles. So I'll just play somebody else.
14:27Jason Moore:I completely agree. I do expect him to play right now from what I've seen. The fact that he was able to play in the game with that broken hand, Now he's going to have some screws inserted and some security added to the hand. I think people standing outside of it. Exactly. Making sure no one can touch that.
14:46Mike Wright:Maybe one of those tags that you get in the store that beats. Yeah, a little sensor.
14:51Jason Moore:But some of the, you know, doctors that I look at, Chow expects him to play this week. So it's good news for the extra day. Yeah, you get the extra day. It's good news for the other pieces. Like if Omari and Hampton ends up active in this game, it's much better for him to have Herbert behind center. I mean, just –
15:16Mike Wright:Mack Jones would not have gotten surgery on that one, by the way. Oh, no. Never. Mack Jones would have given a surgery. Would have turned it down.
15:21Andy Holloway:If you're going to ride with Justin Herbert to pick up Trey Lance. Oh, gosh.
15:26Mike Wright:And get your Monday Night Miracle. I just feel like Mike's invulnerable right now with his take. So he's probably right.
15:31Jason Moore:I almost brought this up. So you were talking about the touchdown, whether it was Kyle Williams. So Kyle Williams is kind of one of Mike's like, Mike had three. He had three dudes. Tislaw scored this week and is going to be starting every snap. It was Pat Bryant. Against Dallas. Yeah, I know. It was Pat Bryant. It was Tislaw. And it was Kyle Williams.
15:53Mike Wright:Yeah, while CMC is dominating. Luckily, he took some power from Rico Dattel this week. That's the only thing that happened. Oh, yeah. Ken Walker's okay right now.
16:01Jason Moore:Mike also. Mike, you need to buy some lottery tickets. Mike also in the League of Record and the main Dynasty League, which are the two leagues we care about the most. He has double bye weeks. He's already locked up. Like, I've got a bye week, but not really. Right. My seeding doesn't really matter this week, playoffs. So I'm taking a mental break this week. Next week, playoffs start, and I'm playing. Mike is not. Mike is on a true bye, but he's locked it up in both leagues two weeks earlier.
16:29Mike Wright:What else is going right for you, man? You jumped in my card stream last night. You hit the best card in the break. You got a Jackson Dart on it. Got a Jackson Dart in the break. So I just am so happy that –
16:39Jason Moore:Life owes me this right now, guys. I'm so happy – Summer was rough. That this is happening now and not three weeks. Oh, yeah. Now there is –
16:49Mike Wright:There's pain to be had.
16:50Andy Holloway:Mm-hmm. There are very, very large expectations for me and my teams. Yeah. Nothing will go wrong.
16:55Mike Wright:Good thing you bailed out on Justin Jefferson. Woo! Of you! Of you! my goodness t higgins in concussion protocol uh still for the bengals we were talking about this in the context of like mike if you have the burrow chase stack you're like do you want higgins there do you not want him there yes you want him there and because more volume will probably go to chase without higgins but then burrow himself loses a weapon and mike you just spoke to it
17:20Andy Holloway:yeah you would prefer him what was uh i i'm embarrassed i can't even who was that third guy who kept taking yoshi voss's targets uh you're talking about tinsley tinsley yeah Yeah, Tinsley and I were just screaming and slacking. Stop throwing the ball to Tinsley. What are we doing? He didn't do much with it.
17:37Mike Wright:He was the preseason darling for them, if you remember.
17:40Jason Moore:Yeah, I think he had nine targets. He was the last lead dud. Yeah, nine targets, only two receptions. So, yeah, it was like, why are you doing that? And I think it was maybe to do with the Christmas season. He is named for December. So Tinsley is going to – Is that for Tinsley? Yeah, for sure. Is that for Tinsley? Yeah, swish. Thank you. I was trying to find the – what is that? No, I knew it right now.
17:59Mike Wright:It's like his last name is not Mistletoe. Raheem Morris said Drake London has a chance to play this week. Okay. Yeah. Okay. That wasn't a bad game for Pitts last week. He had 82 yards. J.J. McCarthy expected to start for the Vikings in week 14. They have no choice. When the janitor turned down the opportunity. Adam Schefter reported Aaron Jones not believed to have suffered a serious shoulder injury day-to-day. Monitor that for the Jordan Mason pickup today. and the Vikings, they basically, out of respect for Adam Thielen, Adam Thielen requested to be released. He was released. It's his last year, and he's going to go try to find playing time.
18:40Jason Moore:Yeah, he went into the organization and said, guys, I've been watching these quarterbacks. I need to – will you please let me go? I would like to catch a pass before I retire.
18:49Mike Wright:Yeah, he said, if you play me every snap, I still won't catch a pass. Jaden Reed, yet to be medically cleared to return to action, but the plan is to see where he's at at the end of the week. so he's in the 21 day window jaden reed of the of the packers mike evans this is wild buck bucks head coach todd bowl said mike evans and jaylen mcmillan could return to practice this week
19:09Jason Moore:so you could end up with a team that has been so banged up no bucky no mike evans no chris godwin no jaylen mcmillan none of these guys for large stretches of this season going into the playoffs with a team that has had to overcome some of these things and now actually has everybody back could be a fun offense here I mean that puts Tez is your
19:29Mike Wright:five at that point if McMillan's back on the field or your four or whatever. Yeah I was going to say I think he's better than McMillan. Jonathan man McMillan was so good last year though yeah he was. He did the Amon
19:41Jason Moore:Raw rookie second half
19:43Mike Wright:big news for the Cardinals they will not open the 21 day window for Kyler Murray. They will push him out of a window later this week. Amon Ross St. Brown did not practice on Monday with the ankle he'll be really questionable for this week week. It's Thursday, reminder. And that'll do it. I'm in the midst of multiple leagues right now where I am responding to trade offers. We are massaging the trade offer.
21:56Mike Wright:We want to make sure that I'm the one that gets the player, not another player manager in our league. So trade offers when you're on the go, all the news that's breaking so you don't make a mistake. And my favorite thing, maybe I'll mention it. 23:19Andy Holloway:why don't you take a break so the 49ers mike is so thrilled about this the christian mccaffrey managers are oh because you're guaranteed to have them for the playoffs now pumping we are so excited that christian mccaffrey is resting right now right now as long as you have a playoff spot
23:36Jason Moore:you're you're happy and if you have christian mccaffrey you've got a good chance that you
23:39Mike Wright:made it 49ers Giants Panthers and Patriots so the Patriots and Giants from last night and the Panthers and 49ers all going on by in week 14 all right gentlemen week 14 waivers let's start at the running back position there are a pile of names it is this is the time of year I'll say this like I found it very difficult to put them in a certain order this week in part because of what do you need like when we were talking about it in the office there is do you want a player that has the highest potential to help you in the fantasy playoffs do you need a spot start situation for this week alone to get you into the playoffs that really defines how I would order some of these players um some count as both obviously but that's the thing that made it difficult for me we are waiting on Amari and Hampton to see if he will be back this week I think there's a good chance with the Monday night game that he will be.
24:36Mike Wright:When is his window? Is this week two for him or week three? He would still have another full week if they don't activate him.
24:41Jason Moore:Yeah, I do expect him back, but TBD. And then what is the utilization? And it's against Philadelphia. Trey Benson. That one is really concerning. So Trey Benson last week was back to practice. His window was open. That was week two of his window. And it looked like he was really close to starting and then come into the following week and he goes from a limited participant to not participating, not active. And now, if he's not activated this week, he is done for the season, can't return. It seems like he had a setback. There's been no reporting that he did, but you don't go from practicing to now I can't practice without a setback, right?
25:26Jason Moore:In Arizona, anything's possible. Yes, right now, to me, I'm like, there's a greater than 50 % chance that we don't see Trey Benson again this year due to a setback and if he can't make it on the field. So that pushes Bam Knight up a little bit for me.
25:40Mike Wright:It's worth throwing the name out there to start the segment. Kyle Mononga rostered in 66 % of leagues, but he had another 130-yard game. He's so good.
25:50Andy Holloway:What's funny is I think he plays at Green Bay, and I know that Chicago just manhandled the Philadelphia Eagles on the ground game. The Green Bay Packers are a very difficult matchup as well for running backs, really for everyone. And it's like Chris Rodriguez plays Minnesota. Yep. And there's a chance that Jaden Daniels is back. I feel like if you're talking one week, like you've got to get a win, I think it might be Chris Rodriguez.
26:23Mike Wright:I think Rodriguez is a great player to have on your roster. We've been saying it for a few weeks, 42 % rostered. do you like him more as a spot start than Mason on the other side of that same game where Washington is much softer as a defense? Because I have Mason ranked higher.
26:38Jason Moore:It comes down to Aaron Jones. If Aaron Jones misses this week, they're calling him day to day. He re-aggravated his shoulder injury.
26:44Mike Wright:I guess I was presuming him missing.
26:45Jason Moore:But if he's gone, I would rather have Jordan Mason ahead of Chris Harden.
26:48Andy Holloway:I feel like it comes down to Jaden for me, which you won't have that info on when the waivers go through. I don't think he's going to play. You don't?
26:55Mike Wright:No, because he hasn't even gone through all of the contact-oriented clearances that I just feel the cost-benefit for that team right now. They competed again last week with Mariota. I don't know if Jaden gets back out there this week, but I do think what I don't like about the Rodriguez thing is just game script-wise, it's tough sometimes. You see Jeremy McNichols in on all two-minute drills, late-game stuff, passing downs. They worked JCM in a little bit. But Rodriguez is as good of a bet for a touchdown.
27:25Andy Holloway:And that's where I'm going. With Mason, I mean, the Minnesota Vikings might just – their offense in general might be so horrifically bad that you can't get going. Mason's value is as a runner. It's not as – I think that's both of them. If he's the only guy, he'll catch a couple targets, but probably nothing special from him. and then the other side of that is if I don't I mean I'm an unguywithstanding of course I like Rodriguez for this week this one week but long term I would go with Singletary yeah Devin
28:01Mike Wright:Singletary is worth a huge conversation with this injury Tracy has been so injury prone Devin Singletary will get the week off and then it'll be Washington then Minnesota making the most of his opportunities if you don't need it this week he is high on the list I think I have them at three, again, trying to factor in the spot start versus the immediate need or the long-term need.
28:24Jason Moore:Yeah, and then you have the backups that are playable, which really that's Kyle Mononga is kind of that, although he is now outworking Swift in total opportunity, so maybe he is the 1A. A little hard to determine, but you've got Tyler Algier and Bachel Tootin. And Blake Corum. Yes, Blake Horn's been getting more and more involved. The difference, I think, there is Tyler Algier is their goal linebacker. He is used more often than Bijan. He's got a touchdown in two of his last four games. Tootin, I don't know what's going on there. He might be the goal linebacker, too. Yeah, I mean, they use him around the goal line.
29:06Jason Moore:They tend to take drives. But what happened was a couple weeks ago.
29:12Mike Wright:carries inside the five just to give you the context three inside the 10 two inside the five
29:16Jason Moore:this last week tootin and and a couple weeks ago he out touched etn and he looked like whoa was this a hot hand approach we're not sure but then he got injured in that game the next game back it was like all etn but that was his first game back from injury second game back from injury all of a sudden it was like well this is getting back to where it looks like tootin is really getting more and more So he is a name to look at because if he ends up overtaking ETN, which I don't necessarily anticipate. I don't think it's going to happen. I don't either, but he is on the field enough. He's getting enough opportunities where you could throw him in there.
29:50Jason Moore:Should an injury happen to ETN, it's one of those flex with benefits and the schedule the next two weeks, Indianapolis and the Jets.
29:58Mike Wright:And I don't want to miss Bam Knight there. Bam Knight slots in right behind Mason and Rodriguez for me.
30:02Andy Holloway:He's brutal with the Rams and Houston being the next two matches.
30:05Mike Wright:Yeah, 11 for 62 last week. also caught a touchdown pass three for 36 like i i don't know when you have a team that is i mean they're moving the football jacoby's always got 250 i i just feel like having the starter is pretty valuable but i put him behind rodriguez and mason ahead of the quorum algier tier myself i'm okay with that um any other names you want to mention there we want to talk wideouts
30:32Andy Holloway:uh i mean keep your eye on chuba that he's on by this week he gets the saints after that yeah he ran well yeah he looked the thing is chuba is good chuba is a good player rico daddle went nuclear and you you had to keep him on the field now that that seemingly has worn off that little couple game stretch it's going to be hot hand i don't know for sure in that new orleans game if it will be a Rico or a Chuba game but Chuba is worth picking up it's a good mention and a quick update
31:05Mike Wright:for the Blake Corum situation because Kyron had left hurt came back and in the most recent comments moments ago from McVay nothing that we expect to restrict guys from being available this week regarding both Kyron and then there was a Devontae Adams concern and neither guy looks to be limited and put your insurance backs on your bench for sure please or your opponents yes insurance backs if you don't need any. Wide receiver options this week. Help me sort through Tampa Bay because I feel like I could see a world where picking up and playing Tampa Bay wide receivers like Godwin, who I thought was, you know, he looked involved.
31:44Mike Wright:He was three for 78 and he dropped the touchdown. That was an easy one. You know, Mike Evans coming back. Where does that put a book on the start-sit decision list? Like, it's all good for Baker. like if you need Baker to have a resurgence to close the year his opportunity is right in front of him yeah but I do worry about consistency and snap counts from guys coming back I mean Evans had the concussion collarbone combo not recommended no 10 out of 10 doctors do not recommend that not even 9 out of 10 it's full 10 so I personally I like Godwin much more than
32:18Jason Moore:picking up Evans I I do too especially if you're looking at the timeline of the season Mike Evans is he's eligible to return right now his normal timeline that we were looking at when the injury first happened would put him at like a somewhere week 14 which is this week we're going into all the way to week 16 I don't think that he's going to come back and dominate right off the bat so let's say he misses this week and then plays next week but then he's he's getting kind of back in the midst slowly Godwin did the same thing he you know when he got back they didn't just say oh go out there and play 100 of snaps but he is further along so if you need someone right now as we're in the playoffs i i would rather have godwin than evans the schedule is
33:02Mike Wright:new orleans atlanta carolina the next three weeks for for tampa bay wide receivers there are exciting names to talk about a wide receiver in particular if you want to hit the button this would be your time to do it um yeah that that does to me what the red light did to you yeah i get it isaac It tickles your brain. Isaac Tesla played on 94 % of routes, or 94 % route participation last week for the Lions. If Aminra misses the Dallas game, goodness gracious. Yeah, what does that look like? It looks like JMO and Tesla having huge opportunities. Yeah. I was, and we'll get into it later with my streamer, so I'll spoil it, but it's insane to look at the season-long fantasy points given up to the quarterback position by the Dallas Cowboys.
33:52Mike Wright:They don't take a week off when it comes to points above expectation for that other quarterback. They're fighting the good fight. They don't care who you are, where you've been. Max Brosmer, go find yourself the Cowboys to play. You'll have yourself a better game.
34:07Andy Holloway:Let's not get out of control.
34:09Mike Wright:So, Tesla is interesting. Yeah, I mean. As a one-week rental.
34:13Jason Moore:As a one-week start. I think it could be multiple weeks. If it takes. I just don't like the Rams on the road the next week. That's fine. Certainly not to run against them, but that might be even more reason why you think you're going to have to pass against the Rams. But Teslaw is a guy they traded up for, a third-round rookie wide receiver, big-bodied, and so far he has flashed so many times from training camp to preseason to small opportunities in the season. And now a big opportunity is here. I think this could be a multi-week absence for Amon Ra. I don't expect them to play this week, considering it's a short week.
34:49Jason Moore:The matchup is just so delicious. He is a great pickup and plug-in. If you are struggling and you need to have a big performance, the floor for Teslaw is zero. Yes, it is. This is a volatile pick. But if you want to say, who is 100 % available on waivers, or 95 % available on waivers, that could go out there and get 80 yards and two touchdowns it feels like a like a waiver
35:19Mike Wright:alec pierce availability exactly that's how it feels with this law so i he he is he is very high
35:25Jason Moore:for me if you need a start right now and and a rookie i mean there's always potential here
35:30Mike Wright:that he is better than even we hope sure yeah he he will need to um up those total touches but man he's got oh yeah he's got three touchdowns on six catches yeah that's his current situation ridiculous uh don tavian wicks last week six for 94 and two only three percent rostered spot star potential for wicks for sure against chicago jayden reed we don't know if he'll be back this week he's also on the list but 42 percent rostered tucked away in a lot of people's
36:04Jason Moore:ir spots jayden higgins uh rookie wide receiver for the houston texans he's been very good over the last you know feels like he's establishing yeah i mean and and honestly i think he has played better than even his box score says his box score has been pretty good he's getting you know 60 yards a game right now being very involved making big plays in big moments i don't love the matchup against kansas city but this is a second round wide receiver who is coming on in vegas after that
36:30Mike Wright:exactly so you like to slow more though as a pickup if i if i've got to play someone this
36:34Jason Moore:week i would i would rather throw tesla on there but if i'm looking like hey i need someone for the playoff run i think i would lean on the higgins side i did laugh at the the ping pong
36:45Mike Wright:situation with the jets where everyone was chasing mechie and then the weather news comes out and it's not good weather and so people run away from mechie but then adnine mitchell has 12 targets for eight for 102 and you know i posted his still had eight targets yeah i posted the the adnine Mitchell film today. 12 targets, 8 for 102-1. Most of the routes were the same thing. It's out routes. He had the deep play. He had another deep opportunity that didn't work out. Mitchell is much more explosive. You're going to get the higher upside situation. The PPR play is matchy. Both of them, they play Miami this week.
37:22Mike Wright:You could probably do worse. You could probably get some production. And then did you buy into Devon Vele's performance? 8 for 93-1. It felt kind of out of nowhere. Jawan Johnson ended up not doing anything.
37:34Andy Holloway:No, well, he had a really high target share. It just didn't turn into what we needed from Jawan. I want the reception share. Yeah, I know. That's the one I want. The Valey thing seems out of nowhere, but do remember the long-term story of the Saints shocked everyone when they traded, I think, a four and a seven, if I'm remembering it right, like two picks outright to go get Devon Valey from the Broncos. It felt super random, very strange. Where does he fit in on this team? They trade away Shahid about a month ago or so. So it's not completely out of nowhere. And Vele, for his credit, on the Broncos, his rookie year, he had a couple flash moments where he was like, okay, maybe he belongs in the league.
38:18Andy Holloway:I think Vele in a full PPR is not completely out of nowhere.
38:23Jason Moore:And coming out of the bye, which was, I think, That was now Shuck's second game. He had seven targets, eight targets this last week. So this could – I mean, they need him. It can't be Chris Olave and no one. So Vele is certainly a worthy PPR pickup.
38:40Mike Wright:And Shuck's playing all right. Yeah. I am still shocked that Keyshawn Booty is only 49 % rostered. He scored again last night. He's always a threat to score. He's one of the favorite targets of the league MVP potentially. I think he belongs on rosters.
38:56Andy Holloway:unquestionably yeah he's just tough of he's going on by so it's the do you need something right now or do you need he's a good stash for later if you're pretty set i think booty would be would
39:08Mike Wright:rank very high for me if you throw out his the game he got injured in right and then him missed two games he wide receiver 420 11 then 72 and then 22 last night it's been pretty good yep and then
39:24Andy Holloway:And speaking of rookies coming out of a bye week, Pat Bryant of the Denver Broncos.
39:29Mike Wright:Yeah, he's in the same Higgins to slob. Pay attention to the rookie in the back half.
39:33Andy Holloway:Where there was a noticeable jump. He had been trending in a positive direction while Troy Franklin off of the extremely hot start. He had been fading. Before the bye week, six targets, five for 82 against the Chiefs. Goes to the bye week. Has by far his highest snap share. he ran around on 77 % of the dropbacks he looks like he's turning into the wide receiver 2 for this team now that's not necessarily the greatest thing because Bo Nix in the offense is so all over the place but he looks like an ascending player that might help a spot starter in the playoffs
40:14Mike Wright:it feels like Sean Payton if you brought that up to him he would bench him just to stick it to you probably Drop candidates. People want to know, would you drop these players to get a defense for a playoff matchup or drop them for an insurance running back? Xavier Worthy.
40:31Jason Moore:Yes, I would drop Xavier Worthy. Mahomes is playing well, but even in this last week when he had eight targets, which was more than he's had in forever, he still was irrelevant. We talk a lot about –
40:43Andy Holloway:Where did he was at six? He was at eight against the Colts. Oh, the week before. Yeah.
40:45Mike Wright:We talk a lot about landmines. There are players with big names that you could drop to wavers. Somebody might pick them up and play them. Because if you saw Worthy on the waivers, you'd be like, ooh. Same with Pearsall. Yeah, for sure. I feel like Pearsall is a player you should drop. Because the defense and the insurance backs are more valuable.
41:03Jason Moore:And it seems like Jennings is the one. He's established himself.
41:08Mike Wright:I've got two tough names to finish this out. Drop candidates brought up by the Foot Clan. DK Metcalf. No. I wouldn't.
41:17Andy Holloway:My feelings on DK Metcalf are documented. I wouldn't drop him because he is a player that could have a big game on just any given week.
41:26Mike Wright:And then Brian Thomas Jr.
41:28Andy Holloway:Definitely not. No idea what to do there.
41:30Mike Wright:I mean, with Jacoby Myers there, with Brenton Strange back, I'm not saying that Brian Thomas Jr. is somebody I would have the guts to drop, but I could see a world where he has pure landmine.
41:41Jason Moore:That could happen. Because that's pretty much been the entire year. Yeah, he's had a lot of bad games. I certainly would not drop him. I think he's a fantastic play this week. If you look at him last week, the Jacoby Myers touchdown this past week, the deep shot that was awesome, I don't know if you guys have seen that play. Watch Brian Thomas on that play. I mean, that dude is the reason that touchdown happened. He ran down that field and blocked like a madman and opened things up for him. He looks healthy. He's on the field. And again, that game against Jacksonville, Jacksonville's game this last week got out of hand so quick that all the offense did basically nothing for the second half.
42:24Jason Moore:So I discount that first game back for Brian Thomas Jr. I think he's got a good matchup this week. I would play him.
42:32Mike Wright:My biggest worry with him is that they have learned how to win without him quite capably. They have learned a different way to play. They've got two good running backs, the tight end, Myers. Now Parker Washington going out frees up some targets, so you could be right. Let's take a break and talk tight ends, defenses, quarterbacks.

44:17Andy Holloway:Prize picks run your game.
44:22Mike Wright:Well, there is a chance that there are kind of two really big names at the tight end position under 50 % rostered that might just be this year's David Njoku, this year's Chigakonkwo, this year's sudden surprise tight end that wins you a title, and it happens year after year after year. We're talking about Darren Waller, who is back, and it was just a two-for-47 day, but got an end zone target and did lead the team in receiving. And the schedule, Jets, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati. Cincinnati for the, what is that, second week of the playoffs. Brenton Strange, 47 % rostered, been heavily involved. I almost said evolved.
45:13Mike Wright:He's also heavily evolved. He's a Pokemon.
45:17Andy Holloway:Are we at two or three?
45:19Mike Wright:Stage three? Yeah. Yeah, for playoffs. Waller and Strange, who do you like more?
45:24Jason Moore:I like Waller. I think that he is, you know, when we saw him earlier this season, he was really involved. Four touchdowns in three games, and then he got injured. He was the tight end two, the tight end six in his first two games as they ramped him up. I think they're going to ramp him up more. And I brought this up yesterday. The playoff schedule for him is the best. For weeks 15, 16, 17, he has the best matchups for tight end. you look at Tua, Tua looks his way around the end zone. He did again this last week. They didn't connect on the touchdown. But he's shown enough where I want to take the shot at, you know, Brenton Strange involved, but just like you were talking about with Brian Thomas, they've got a lot of different ways to go.
46:11Jason Moore:It feels like with Darren Waller, they really need Darren Waller to step up. It's like Waddle, A-Chan, and then they need Waller.
46:20Mike Wright:I think Fannin might be an interesting ad. I think, you know, we talked about three wide receiver rookies. I think Harold Fannin, you saw the big play with Shadu or Sanders this past week. Tennessee this upcoming week. Then Chicago and Buffalo. I think Fannin might be interesting. Colston Loveland is also there in the mix.
46:40Andy Holloway:His schedule is kind of stinky doo-doo. It's rough. He's a good player.
46:45Mike Wright:Those are the only four names I care about at tight end. Yeah, I agree.
46:48Jason Moore:Loveland to me has very very much impressed me his rookie season you know now that he's gotten healthy he has impressed me on a per play basis I don't think I can really rely on him at all to actually go out there and have enough total yards right and touchdown opportunities with the way that the Bears are spreading the ball around the matchups coming up I am excited for his future I was going to say this next year thing. Yeah, but I am not – you know, I would take everyone else we named over him. Even Fannin?
47:21Mike Wright:Yeah.
47:22Jason Moore:Okay.
47:22Mike Wright:If you had a flex spot and you had to play like a Doonesa or Loveland, what would you do? Oh, man.
47:27Jason Moore:Gross. I'd play a Doonesa and I'd hate myself.
47:30Mike Wright:All right. Defensive opportunities here. Teams to pick up. You know, weeks 14 through 17. They all matter right now.
47:41Jason Moore:You're right. they all matter right now i think there's a lot of screaming in the yeah there was there was some uh vocal warm-ups needed that did not happen um yeah i mean this is did you eat a bonfire i got a little charcoal in there that this is the time of year where you need to be 100 i would much rather roster a defense i know i'm going to play two weeks from now in the playoffs that is going to be in my starting lineup than even some of these insurance running backs. I know I have to score points two weeks from now. If I don't have, look at your defense on your roster and say, look at their schedule.
48:25Jason Moore:Can I start them or do I need to pick someone else up? So we need to look at a couple of weeks here.
48:29Mike Wright:I mean, my favorite pickup by far when you look at relative to availability, right? You've got big teams like the Broncos and Browns that are number one and two on my defensive rankings this week that play amazing teams and they're just in any competitive league they're pretty much not going to be there but i said this three weeks ago two weeks ago tampa bay is my favorite one to pick up tampa bay plays new orleans atlanta carolina miami those are four really plus matchups they're the only team that i can see with four plus matchups in a row um i love tampa bay i think miami is interesting because you're playing new York they're playing hard still and then Pittsburgh has a quarterback conundrum situation going on
49:11Jason Moore:those two are sub 30 percent roster yeah um I I agree completely if the Bucs are out there they would probably be my number one pickup would you take the Bucs or the Saints so the Saints to me are we brought up last week uh yeah I mean I I really like the Saints I I think that the the Saints defense and their schedule is I guess I would go the Saints there because I'm looking at
49:38Mike Wright:the playoffs specifically Carolina New York Tennessee the Carolina matchup scares me a little bit because they just every once in a while I get it but they're they go crazy Carolina's in that in that Tampa Bay lineup as well yep no no no it's been a plus matchup most of the time the Saints they've been pretty good even of late yeah they really have it fantasy points wise I I have them as 12, 11, and 6 against Carolina, Atlanta, and Miami, and the schedule's good. So they're definitely on that list, and your opponent probably sees them and is like, cool, I'm glad you're doing that. And it might really work in your advantage.
50:15Andy Holloway:Watching them this past week against Miami, I mean, you said Waller led the team. Yeah, with 47 yards. The Saints defense is like – Especially at home. They get – like the shadow kind of comes over the team because the offense isn't the strongest, but Tyler Shuck is playing okay. But you need Shuck to play at least okay for the Saints defense because if an offense goes so bad, even an elite defense can't overcome it.
50:46Mike Wright:There is no need to lock in on one defense for these weeks, though. No, no, no. If you look at week 15, Carolina plays New Orleans, Chicago plays Cleveland, Dallas plays the Minnesota offense.
50:58Jason Moore:yeah dallas is a great target yeah they're they're available in every league because their defense has been so bad on the course of the year but they play minnesota yeah you're going to face
51:08Andy Holloway:nine or brasmer oh which uh washington plays minnesota this week yeah and they are they are
51:14Mike Wright:widely available then in week 16 targets the chiefs only 28 roster they play tennessee that is going to be an unbelievable opportunity for them buffalo play shadour and the and the browns The Falcons play the Cardinals who are turnover prone and the jets face new Orleans. So both sides of that matchup might work out. Giants play Minnesota that week. So these are week 16 highlights. You can save this whole part of the show and reference it again. Um, and then in week 17 championship week, you know, we mentioned, uh, the giants,
51:48Jason Moore:the saints have good matchups against the, the Raiders and the Titans.
51:52Mike Wright:And then, yeah, I think those are the main ones. Tampa Bay, you know, has Miami that week. That one's on the road. And we'll get into it as the playoffs progress as well. So let's get into streaming quarterback options.
52:07Jason Moore:Full stream ahead.
52:12Mike Wright:It is rare to get to this segment, and I was the last person to put a name in and not have this one taken. But to me, Jared Goff is the unbelievable stream of the week. it really can't go wrong for Jared Goff. He's at home facing Dallas. Go! The last two weeks, Dallas gave an extra nine points above expectation, an extra six above expectation. Like I said, no games this year, zero, in which they did not give up more than the expected points for the quarterback. It's the highest over-under of the week.
52:48Jason Moore:53 and a half.
52:49Mike Wright:You know Dallas is going to score a bunch of points. games at Ford Field are averaging 53 combined points. This is amazing. Derek Gough is the easiest stream I've had to pick all year. Because none of us officially have Oh, is that Duval? And then he said Duval.
53:07Andy Holloway:I see. I see what you did there. The ultimate streamer, who's not an official pick from us this week. Ultimate streamer. Jacoby Bursette plays the Rams. Are we... I'm still fine. I'm fine with that.
53:22Mike Wright:Mostly because Bryce Young went crazy against him last week.
53:25Andy Holloway:Jacoby is still – I was so confident last week. I'm like, this is the week. The roster percentage is going to change. He's going to be –
53:34Mike Wright:He's still not rostered?
53:35Andy Holloway:53 % on sleeper.
53:36Mike Wright:Well, this matchup's not going to help. I'm going to write his line. Okay. 46 pass attempts. Wow. Nice. 296 yards passing. Okay. Three fumbles. uh no not three uh i'll give you two fumbles in this game both lost um one lost one recovered and one pick but how many touchdowns uh two yeah that's that feels that feels right 96 just saying
54:06Andy Holloway:i'm still fine with it we're giving you some options here but don't forget about jacoby he's he's out there uh i don't mind jason's yeah yeah jason's i think is of a guy who
54:18Jason Moore:what's his percent yeah ever law Trevor Lawrence he he's he's available out there in some yeah he's sub 50 yeah he's available out there in half of leagues uh he's quietly been a top 12 quarterback in four of the last five weeks he's looking better and better the Jaguars are looking better and better I found it a little insulting on the broadcast last night when they were talking about the who's playing for the number one seed and it was they listed the Colts I was like wait they're
54:46Mike Wright:not even number one in their division i have to cut you off for just two seconds no all right all right okay i'll allow it i just since jacoby became the starter he's on pace no jacoby brissette yeah for 731 pass attempts 5 ,313 yards yeah 32 touchdowns yeah yeah yeah
55:03Jason Moore:and a nice 300 rushing yard and somehow his epa is terrible he's i don't i don't really understand that but um sorry you were talking trevor so trevor lawrence they are playing good football They're going on the road to Indy. This is a monstrous game where both teams are going to have to show up. Game's 48 and a half point over under. That's the third highest of the week. And the Colts' pass defense is beatable. 28th in passing yards allowed, 27th in pressure rate, and you got Sauce Gardner is not going to be there. They saw a need to add an elite corner. They did, and they have lost him for this week.
55:43Jason Moore:Yeah. Which is part of why I like Brian Thomas Jr. this week.
55:47Andy Holloway:And hopefully, we're giving you advice. Hopefully you don't have to roll with this one.
55:54Mike Wright:Steel underpants. You can shake your head. No, no, no, no. That's not to demean. I'm shaking my head because last week on this show, Jason brought up maybe playing to Rod Taylor, and you and I shamed him out of it.
56:05Andy Holloway:I did not shame him.
56:07Mike Wright:I believe you did. I think I can find the receipts. Okay, look for him. Let me know. But nevertheless, we sort of – well, maybe it wasn't you. Maybe it was Kyle persuading him to go with someone else. It was more like – that's a tough thing to say out loud. Go on. Talk about Tyler Shuck.
56:22Andy Holloway:It's Tyler Shuck. It's on the road against Tampa Bay. You guys are talking about the Tampa Bay DST. I'm a little more hesitant about them as they are 29th in passing yards per game allowed. They're dead last in schedule adjusted points to quarterbacks since week nine. Tyler Shuck is averaging four rushing attempts per game. We like that for a nice little baseline. And it's been 50-50. He's been red light, green light. And this would be the red light week if you buy into that type of ridiculous analysis. But 50 % of his starts, his true starts, he's been solid. I mean, 19 points against Carolina, 17.4 against Miami, just outside of the top 12 quarterbacks.
57:03Andy Holloway:Like I said, these are not saying put this guy in over your starter. but maybe a situation has risen in your league where you're like, crap, I'm Brock Purdy, and I have no one else. Tyler Shuck is on your way for wire.
57:19Jason Moore:I think I've been very impressed with Shuck. He hasn't been perfect, but he's completing 68 % of his passes. Caleb Williams dreams of that. He's on pace for 4 ,000 passing yards, and that's through his first four starts. You look at the first four starts of Bo Nix's career. It was way worse than that. This is a rookie who should be getting better as the season finishes and hasn't been bad to start.
57:44Mike Wright:Yeah, absolutely. Okay, drop candidates Lamar Jackson. Oh, my, no. Don't do that.
57:52Andy Holloway:Dude. Lamar will be okay. I'll say it again. I do not envy anyone. With Lamar? If you're winning in this week and you have Lamar, don't ask me. Because here's the answer. You're on your own. I will not be the scapegoat for that decision. No, that one feels – Because I don't know what I would do. No one knows.
58:12Mike Wright:Yeah, I answered somebody's – It's Lamar Jackson. I answered somebody's question a couple weeks ago, Lamar instead of Jacoby. And then I was held accountable for everything. What are you doing, man? I said Lamar. Just play Jacoby. Goodness gracious. All right. That'll do it for today's episode of the show. But we're back tomorrow to get you ready for week 14, backup options, TNF preview, mailbag, a lot more. We'll catch you then. Goodbye.
