Guest backgrounds
Not applicable—these are the show’s hosts; the episode focuses on their fantasy analysis and league talk.
Key claims
- Fantasy is “skill + luck/probability,” and even good matchups can produce dud weeks (e.g., Ravens/Bengals tight ends).
- Joe Burrow’s poor performance is concerning going forward; Cincinnati may struggle to stay motivated.
- Platforms/commissioners should audit league scoring settings for Woody Marks’ TD controversy (aborted snap recovered and returned), because some sites don’t count it as a rushing TD.
- Trevor Lawrence and Bo Nix were top QB “studs”; Jacoby Brissett underperformed despite prior form.
Notable examples
- Isaiah Likely: ran more routes than Mark Andrews for first time since Week 8; ended with no targets.
- Woody Marks TD: listed as “aborted snap recovered… returned 1 yard touchdown,” but many platforms don’t award rushing TD points.
- Injuries: Devontae Adams hamstring; Roman D. Dunn ruled out; Christian Watson shoulder/SC joint sprain; Patrick Mahomes torn ACL.

1:17Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast. With your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
1:34Mike Wright:Welcome in.
1:46Mike Wright:Monday, December 15th. The Fantasy Footballers Podcast back with you. Oh, me, oh, my. Fantasy playoffs are here. Week one nearly over, and okay. Okay.
2:05Jason Moore:All right. Oh, man. What a week. Some good, some bad.
2:13Mike Wright:Goodness. Well, when Kyle Pitts starts the week that way, you know you're going to get some insanity over the course of the weekend. I think everything Jason wanted to happen happened to him. He had Travis Etienne and Josh Jacobs go crazy.
2:31Jason Moore:He had his opponent score no points. Thank you, Jameer Gibbs. You continued your streak of up, down, up, down, up, down. Yeah, no, it was a good week for me.
2:45Mike Wright:Not for everybody. No.
2:46Andy Holloway:This was.
2:47Mike Wright:Not for the people that played Joe Burrow or the people that played Isaiah Likely.
2:53Andy Holloway:Holy crap.
2:54Mike Wright:You know, I read something this morning with Isaiah Likely, by the way. What was that? I thought you were reacting to Likely. Likely had.
2:59Andy Holloway:No, no. Just hold on before we move on. Speaking of Jason being the magic man, so League of Record, you look very, very good. Yes. It's like Devon HN has to go. He has to get 42 points.
3:12Mike Wright:Oh, he doesn't know this news.
3:13Andy Holloway:He's down by two points in. No, Dynasty League, he's up by two points. The team he's facing has one player. Yes. He's toast. It's Jalen Warren.
3:22Jason Moore:Yeah, Jalen Warren basically has to get injured. Jalen Warren is now questionable. What? What? I made a joke? Yesterday that like Jim Warren needs to get injured pregame. That's my only chance. He needs like one point and I lose. Like I'm already out. Press trouble with an illness. Oh, it's going to be bad.
3:41Andy Holloway:Probably still plays. No. Just. Oh, my goodness. Give me a little hope. If we want to. Yeah. So.
3:49Mike Wright:I wanted to circle back to Likely.
3:51Andy Holloway:Yes.
3:51Mike Wright:Isaiah Likely. I read this morning. He ran more routes than Mark Andrews for the first time since week eight. so he was out there like this is this is kind of like people need to come to terms with this i think it's important for fantasy football like fantasy football is a game of skill and luck combined yes into a game of probability into an algorithm that we cannot until we can see the future you know you're just going to be in this boat where the best matchup and the best players can have a bad week you know we thought baltimore cincinnati would be a competitive high scoring game the
4:29Jason Moore:bangles got shut out the that game was by far the biggest disappointment all the way around i mean joe burrow was bet lamar jackson threw 12 passes that so i mean so 12 total passes so likely ended up with no targets andrews had a bad game too you in that in that dynasty league where i need jalen Warren to score one point I chose to start likely over over Andrews who I would have started over Kyle Pitts so I mean yeah if you had two guys score 40 on my bench yeah if you had 40 you'd be up by more I would yeah I would uh be on no I mean it Kyle Pitts is another example that
5:07Mike Wright:Kyle Pitts previous career high in fantasy points was like 25 points and this was 45 in a lot of league formats like in the same 20 more points in your career high so all i'm saying is you got to come to terms with the fact that you're playing the game of probability you put people in the
5:21Andy Holloway:best position to play that one they play the game that was the most shocking results honestly for me this weekend was insane pretty usually the nfl weekends are usually insane this one felt a little crazier with with injuries the injuries which we will talk about but the the the bangles or i'm I'm sorry, the Ravens tight ends doing nothing against the Bengals in a game that was a 50-something point over-under was the most shocking result and probably the most devastating. I mean, I guess Burrow on top of that too. Burrow, I loved Burrow. I would have played Burrow over almost every quarterback this weekend, and it was devastating.
6:05Mike Wright:It now feels a little scary with Burrow moving forward, actually, to me. because I got a little bit of the heebie-jeebies. Yeah, you're playing for nothing at this point, right? What? If you won this week, you had a small chance. Now you're playing for nothing, and the dude's not in the right headspace, I think, right now with how tough the year has been. The comments, not just the press conference, but from Jamar Chase this after the game, and it does make you wonder if this season is just going to be tough to get up for the rest of the games for Cincinnati. But, you know, we always joke about this.
6:43Mike Wright:Like one of my prize picks projections that I missed is that I took Josh Allen over 20.5 completions. He had 20. And so we all sit back and we go, Vegas is unbelievable, right? The bookmakers. And then you see a game like Cincinnati and Baltimore, and we forget how wrong they are about that game. That game was completely wrong.
7:09Jason Moore:half the points less than half the points scored than they project so the good news about all of the craziness that can happen and all the unpredictability is that if you are in the playoffs and you're an underdog you're fine you got a shot I mean we've we've said this in the past and it is it's not entirely true but to the playoffs but it is you know there's there's truth to this phrase that we have said many times I don't think we've said it on the show much but we've said it off air a lot, which is like It's a lot of lead up to this. I really want to know what it is. It takes skill to make the playoffs.
7:44Jason Moore:Oh, yes. And it takes luck to win a championship. You know what I mean? A long enough season, the skill's going to get you there. You've got to get to the playoffs, but then you've got to have some luck in the playoffs. You just have to. Did you mail a package to Jalen Warren? Oh, whoa. He's got an illness. Well, sure. I don't know. I thought you were talking more. Yeah. No. You know, some danger in the mail.
8:12Mike Wright:Like a Petri dish. Yeah.
8:14Jason Moore:I mean, did you send him a Petri dish? I did not. This is pure luck. You know, he's wrapped in some smallpox blankets. Oh, my gosh. Oh.
8:25Mike Wright:We do not condone bio-orphan. No. Never have, never will. No. Not publicly. By the way, another crazy thing that happened this weekend for those that – and I was catching everybody up in the office about this last night, but there's a bunch of controversy going on on all platforms about Woody Marks' rushing touchdown because what happened on the play against Arizona – Arizona was well on their way to giving up their weekly 40, and they snapped the ball. It went through the legs of C.J. Stroud. It touched the ground while Woody Marks picked up the ball, and then he kind of just torpedoed into the end zone.
9:02Jason Moore:It's basically a wildcat run because the ball went to the ground and then he picked it up directly, rushed it in probably about five yards out. And it looked like when I watched it live, I couldn't tell that the ball hit the ground. It looked like a direct snap to him that he caught low and then rushed it in, wildcat touchdown. Awesome play.
9:19Mike Wright:So what ends up happening is no platforms are counting that as a rushing touchdown. CBS, Yahoo, NFL, ESPN, as far as I last knew. I don't know about Sleeper, but those four, I've seen reports on this. And so what happens is in most leagues, like we've had Trey McBride score.
9:36Andy Holloway:I think fumble recovery touchdowns are just on.
9:38Mike Wright:They are in ours. On a lot of leagues they are. But I think what happens is on CBS, on the commissioner leagues, some of the default league scoring formats just simply don't have that as something that counts. It's a rushing touchdown that you get points for. It's not any touchdown. At least to the point where there was a groundswell all over Twitter. That is wild. Over multiple leagues where this is the case. And so, you know, most leagues are probably, when you're setting up your default league,
10:05Jason Moore:you're really not thinking about changing that as a default format. If anything, it should be defaulted on, and you have to choose to be like, that shouldn't count. But also, I think it's utter nonsense to count this as a fumble recovery. Like what Trey McBride did, you know, last year. Diving on a football. Someone fumbled it into the end zone and he dove on it. That's a fumble recovery touchdown. Okay, whatever. He wasn't part of the play. He just recovered the touchdown. This was basically a wildcat snap where he rushed the ball in. And I was thinking about this. Because we see this every game.
10:42Jason Moore:A ball touches the ground for the quarterback on the snap. He picks it up. He throws it. He completes the pass and the play happens. Are you telling me that that doesn't count? That's a fumble recovery pass. No, it's a freaking football play. It's utter nonsense. It all comes down to the official scoring. And I get that. Every platform should, by hand, auto-correct that into a rushing type.
11:06Mike Wright:Are you telling that to the commissioners?
11:08Jason Moore:I'm telling that to the platforms. But on a commissioner basis, that's tougher. It's got to come from the platform. It has to. Because it probably affects you. Make it right. A commissioner can't unless the entire league. I wonder if there'll be an official scoring change.
11:22Andy Holloway:Yeah, it's nonsense. I give all commissioners the right to go and change that right now.

11:30Mike Wright:As long as they're not involved in the matchup.
11:32Andy Holloway:Fair, yeah.
11:33Mike Wright:If they're involved in the matchup, then it's... Unless it causes them a loss.
11:36Andy Holloway:I don't think so. I think that it's just everyone should go and change that. So a commissioner...
11:39Jason Moore:That's actually... You should. It's the right thing to do.
11:43Andy Holloway:Even if you're a commissioner and it gives you the win, so be it. It's the right thing to do.
11:47Mike Wright:No, I don't think Al's on the same page here, and I'm not on the same page either. If you're the commissioner and this gives you a win, you can't just go do that. Al, do you want to weigh in?
11:56Jason Moore:If your league scoring settings say that you don't get points for a fumble recovery touchdown and that snap hit the ground. Well, technically.
12:04Mike Wright:If that snap hit the ground and fumbled. Yeah, I mean, you have to go with the official score.
12:09Jason Moore:This is why I defaulted saying platforms need to override this.
12:13Mike Wright:I agree with you on that. If the platforms do it, then that's fine. The platforms should absolutely do it. It's out of the commissioner's hand. Mike, if you and Jason were in a battle and you're down by five, Jason would have a different opinion right now. I would have the – I promise you. Well, you would because you'd be getting the win. No, no, no.
12:28Andy Holloway:If I were going to lose from this, I would have the exact same opinion.
12:32Mike Wright:Well, yes, you would.
12:34Andy Holloway:Because I think that's ridiculous to not change that and give him – he scored a touchdown. He got the snap. Give him six points.
12:40Jason Moore:He rushed for those yards and got the touchdown.
12:43Mike Wright:He technically recovered a fumbled snap.
12:45Andy Holloway:Did he get rushing yards? I don't know. I'm pretty sure I'm sure you probably do he gets yards of some how would you not get a touchdown
12:52Mike Wright:we're not debating what it should be it's just the official scoring report like I think it's just really odd if a commissioner would change it arbitrarily to give themselves a win that's out that's insane at the very least
13:05Andy Holloway:I'm giving everyone permission to do it
13:07Jason Moore:yeah thank you Mike I think at the very least every league should like have a vote and if majority says yes of course that should be a touchdown then you change it in your league because it should be that's Did it score in our league? Did we look at that? I'm just curious.
13:19Mike Wright:I'm sure it did. Well, we allowed touchdowns for recovered fumbles. Oh, good. So we have Monday Punday reaction. I'm sure we're going to hear a lot about that debate in a minute in the Twittersphere and on YouTube. But we have your reactions to the weekend on Monday Punday because, of course, we do. Starting with a wonderful, amazing performance by Clever Lawrence. Oh, he was so good. How about Trey McBe my bride? He's going to break the record
13:48Andy Holloway:We got Travis ET Endzone OMG St. Brown To infinity And Travion Jolly old St. Nick's People had the courage People played him Tile Trips
14:05Mike Wright:Jameson Mega Millions He's still playing well Now we're into the bad We do have a comment from Andrew
14:13Andy Holloway:who says Jason owes me 200 bucks because he says Jason Jefferson. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:18Mike Wright:We get that out on Twitter.
14:20Jason Moore:Isaiah likely ended my season. Yeah, yeah. Namir Gibbs, Jameer Phibbs. Thank you, my man.
14:28Andy Holloway:I really enjoy Ashton Shanty. Yeah, that's good. Or No Burrow. I like this one. Quinshawn Butkins.
14:38Jason Moore:Teddero McVillain. Bad McConkie. And Dak to Prescott. Yeah. That is – I would have been really upset if everything else didn't go my way because these games that have happened for Dak Prescott where he plays well, he has enough yards, he moves the ball, and then just every touchdown is a rushing touchdown. He played okay. Sure.
15:05Mike Wright:I mean, it wasn't like he went – Well, what was crazy is I saw somebody had heads up last night, Brandon Aubrey versus Dak Prescott. They had Dak. They lost.
15:13Jason Moore:Wow. Can you imagine you're going into the game, Dak versus kicker?
15:17Mike Wright:And Aubrey, ironically, lost them the game. By missing two kicks? Yeah. Yeah, it was crazy. Crazy weekend. You can submit your Monday Pondays on Instagram at fantasyfootballersonx at the FFBallers every Sunday night. You can post those to us, and we'll talk some news.
15:36Jason Moore:News and notes from around the league. Presented by Progressive Insurance.
15:42Mike Wright:yeah that's a good point al just audit your league settings um in the offseason because i think sleeper is the one that avoided this issue i think sleeper is the one that has defaults it on it defaults fumble recovery touchdowns is on and so um you know if those other platforms i think they're in a bind i think those other platforms are in an impossible position because i don't think you can make a scoring change that that the nfl that the nfl doesn't make i don't think that Yahoo can just say, well, the NFL scores at this, but we're going to score at this for the sake of your playoffs. I think they're all in a pickle.
16:15Mike Wright:So I think this is why I think you can have a league vote. Yes. And the league vote says, hey, reasonableness is what's going to win out here in our league. I think reasonableness is one of the tenets of fantasy football league that we all abide by.
16:26Jason Moore:One of the tenets of humanity. Yeah. It should be. It should be.
16:30Mike Wright:Yeah. And so, I mean, I think if, you know, if it's me, if I'm the commissioner, whether it benefits me or not i would just say hey guys let's not let's not let the season end with something ridiculous where the guy's not rewarded for a play that was a football play where he went into the
16:44Jason Moore:end zone and scored yeah i mean he got the snap he rushed it forward he scored a touchdown got the points for the texas it's listed in this game you want to read that yeah so i went and look pro
16:53Andy Holloway:football reference which i mean shout out to them great website a lot of uh good stats and everything it is they have it listed as a cj stroud aborted snap recovered by woody marks uh at the arizona Returned one yard touchdown. That was only a yard.
17:07Mike Wright:Well, that's where CJ was. The run ended up being five, six yards. But, yeah, I don't think we were counting on the aborted snap scenario.
17:17Andy Holloway:That's so weird. It's crazy. That's so weird.
17:20Mike Wright:The Jets fired Steve Wilkes.
17:23Jason Moore:Whoa. Problem solved. Wait a minute. Arizona Cardinals, are you aware that you can do things like this? Oh, wait. No, they did. Real quick. Yeah, I'm just saying the Cardinals should fire John Cannon. And I just want to make sure they know that they're not.
17:37Mike Wright:I thought you were making a joke because the Cardinals already fired Steve Wilks.
17:39Jason Moore:They did do that once upon a time. But I just mean, in season right now, you can do this.
17:45Mike Wright:The Jets have zero interceptions on the season. And I guess they're disappointed that Steve Wilks couldn't get enough out of Sauce Gardner and Quentin Williams. Yeah. He's the problem. They gave up 48 points and he's the problem. Okay. He seemed to do really well with nice personnel in Carolina before. I remember that.
18:05Jason Moore:And Denver. And anywhere he's had good personnel. Yeah, okay.
18:09Mike Wright:But Brady Cook couldn't get the win, so let's fire Steve Wilkes. I'll tell you what you – You suck, Jets. Cardinals, you suck. Jets, you suck. Raiders, you suck. I don't know if we need a you suck list with all caps,
18:20Jason Moore:but those three teams are on it. I'll tell you what you should not do if you are a high-level cornerback coach, coach an awesome linebacker coach the new hotness you should not accept this job to be the defensive coordinator for the jets because you will not do well not to mention you may go out with the
18:41Mike Wright:bathwater right if they fire their head coach after one year that's that's always tough man
18:46Andy Holloway:you had the uh you want to do this uh no i'm good where i'm at we had the year uh both ben johnson and Bobby Slowick were like, nope, we're not taking the jobs. We're going to stay where we are one more year. Ben Johnson, it becomes a smashing success. He gets the job he wants. The other guy, Kyle, is he in the league? Is he doing anything? I believe he's in the mailroom. I'll check in with Bobby.
19:13Mike Wright:Yeah, you check in with Bobby. Devon HN, off the injury report and good to go. If he scores over 41 points, Jason will be set. Which he did two weeks ago.
19:22Andy Holloway:Bobby Sloak is the senior passing game coordinator for the Dolphins.
19:26Mike Wright:Does that mean he's the old one? That means that's called a demotion. Yeah. Devon H.N. off the injury report ready to go. Patrick Mahomes. I mean, it's endless news to talk about. They were on the cusp of being eliminated from the playoffs in which they ended up being eliminated. Goodness gracious, Gardner Minshew.
19:46Jason Moore:Yeah, Gardner Minshew made sure of that. It's Minshew time.
19:48Mike Wright:But Patrick Mahomes out for the year with a torn ACL. the parallels to Brady's torn ACL are wild I don't know if you've seen that same season after three titles wasn't Brady's game one? I traded everything for him and he ruined my season they're different people it's not exactly the same it's just the same exact season in the NFL after the same amount of titles after the same situation in the Super Bowl it was just pretty interesting
20:17Jason Moore:it was the most insult to injury situation that I can remember where it's like as a Chiefs fan nobody wants Mahomes to miss no no no nobody even anti-chiefs yeah NFL fans don't want Mahomes hurt no you want like I was rooting for them to not make the playoffs only because you know watch the world burn it would not root for this and it's like oh dude they already lost they they already were gonna miss the playoffs you didn't need to do this world Brady Mahomes Manning has have been
20:46Mike Wright:in every single playoff since 98. Those three. So this will be the first time since 98. No Brady, no Manning, no Mahomes. AFC's wide open. Buffalo! Go do it! I am telling you to do it! This is your time.
21:08Jason Moore:Yeah.
21:09Mike Wright:What a crazy game that was. I was hiding under the bed after the first quarter. Oh, yeah, you called for the Patriots. No, no, no. They killed him in the second half. I'm not victory lapping that because I said I thought they'd kill him. But at 21-0, I thought I might not have a job anymore. I was like, what is going on this year? I can't see nothing. I'll tell you who else thought it was over. All of Twitter. Oh, my gosh.
21:32Jason Moore:Oh, yeah. Everyone dunking just victory lapping at 21-0.
21:38Andy Holloway:There's two halves of football, everyone. Just hold your comments. Hold your comments for one more half.
21:44Jason Moore:Oh, yeah, I was playing against Josh Allen, and we knew. We knew in the first quarter while he's getting shut down. I'm like, this isn't – I'm not going to be happy about this yet. We know it's going to happen.
21:54Mike Wright:And we are all guilty of it, but the human impulse to just post as soon as humanly possible. Like, if there's something like a Christmas season, something I want to put – if somebody's getting coal, they're getting coal for the – when we get the first quarter, you guys are morons about this guy. We're like, okay, maybe. Maybe we are, but please let the other three quarters go, and then you can dunk on us.
22:21Jason Moore:Also, the Patriots absolutely should have won that game. I don't mean – They fell apart. No, no, no. Oh, that's a call? I'm not blaming the Patriots. That was an interception that they caught. What were you talking about? The interception. The PI. The defensive pass interference it was called. I thought it was probably an interception.
22:38Mike Wright:They don't count the interceptions after pass interference.
22:41Jason Moore:He got his head around, looked at the ball, made a play on the ball, caught the ball, intercepted the ball, and got called for offensive pass interference. And what's crazy is – No, defensive. Defensive. Earlier in the game, Tredavious White did almost the exact same play where you could have called a pass interference, but he intercepted the ball for the Bills. Not called. I didn't have a horse in the race. I don't care who wins. I wasn't rooting for either.
23:04Mike Wright:It is a brutal pass interference. It is an awesome interception. You are completely wrong. I disagree with you. You were totally biased against Josh Allen scoring in that situation. Well, that's true. I have a screenshot in front of me. He's staring directly at the receiver with both hands on him. A screenshot?
23:22Jason Moore:Yes, he already looked before he got.
23:24Mike Wright:You don't get to look and then make contact. That's insane. Yes, you do. Yes, you do.
23:28Jason Moore:You can make a play on the ball and intercept it.
23:30Mike Wright:It's illegal. It's an illegal play.
23:33Andy Holloway:That one happens all the time. If you look for the ball and then you end up running into the player, you are often given the benefit of the doubt.
23:39Mike Wright:turn and then push the guy. You can't do that.
23:42Jason Moore:Go look up the statue for pass interference. It's crazy. I'm just saying watch both of those plays and there's a lot of similarities. One was called the pass interference. One was given interception. The same game should call it the same way. Also, they should have played better in the second half.
23:58Mike Wright:We'll take a break. We'll talk some more news.
24:03Mike Wright:What's up, Foot Clan? You are confident and disciplined and focused on details just like everyone here at the Fancy Footballers, right? Those are words you'd use to describe us. 26:04Mike Wright:Devontae Adams this sucks oh man goodbye fantasy playoffs Devontae Adams will not be a part of it he left early with a hamstring injury he just I already said it didn't look good he was running in a straight line and then he went down yeah the ball was thrown you're like oh this is good I
26:19Jason Moore:think he's gonna get oh he stopped running he's hurt he is and then he was he just laid down knowing like when you when you have that reaction he laid face down like he was deceased for 30 seconds or planking he's bringing it back or he was planking on no weird time to do a meme but uh that yeah it's gonna be like i think at this point rams fans are very hopeful that he is there for the nfl playoff yes if you have him in your it has to be our our champ champ champ dino junior League. We've been riding on the back of a lot of Adams touchdowns. We will have to pivot.
26:55Mike Wright:Alright, what else do we have? Roman Dunn say three minutes before kickoff was ruled out of this game after they said he was going to play.
27:02Jason Moore:All three of us tweeted it out as quick as we could. It was like three minutes before. And I had some responses to my tweet that people saw it just a little bit late and that that made the difference between them making the playoffs and going to the next round. Yeah, it was. That one's brutal. What a pump fake. That's terrible.
27:23Mike Wright:We had Christian Watson. This was scary. Got better news about it. The Packers went through a run of injuries in this game that, I mean, you already have the terrible, horrible, awful news. Michael Parsons torn ACL.
27:35Jason Moore:Yeah. Was that confirmed? Yeah. Well, no, it hasn't been confirmed with an MRI, but I mean, usually. They know.
27:41Mike Wright:It's been confirmed with MRIs. Oh, nice. Yeah, I mean, like every doctor under the sun. And LeFleur's comments in the postgame.
27:52Jason Moore:Non-contact. Yeah, you see his shin pop. That's a bummer.
27:57Mike Wright:Christian Watson left with a shoulder injury, chest injury. There was some concern about clavicle. It's not clavicle. It's a sprained SC joint, similar to what Tyreek Hill had a few years ago. So not a major injury was the quote we got. That is very good news for this team moving into the playoffs. It's not great for maybe next week. R.J. Harvey. I didn't know this. left early with a rib injury that's um he didn't have a great game woody marks left the taxons game after his fumble recovery that's all he wanted to do yeah he's like i got the touchdown for
28:28Jason Moore:fantasy managers they'll be happy i know and then it's like no he didn't uh it's good news that they said he could have come back in the game which is devastating news for those of you who played
28:39Andy Holloway:Yeah, D 'Amico Ryans, that's kind of just, you're just salting the wound there because Woody Marks would have dominated. Oh, the backups dominated.
28:49Jason Moore:Was it Jordan?
28:50Mike Wright:You can blame the Cardinals for giving up 40 points and making Woody Marks not needed.
28:54Jason Moore:It was a great start of the week who unfortunately did score, might not have scored for you, and could have played but didn't play because they didn't need him anymore.
29:04Mike Wright:I mean, moments after I said Devin Neal was what, Kendra Miller couldn't do. Couldn't be because Kendra Miller would have been killing in this situation for the Saints. Devin Neal left with a hamstring injury just like Kendra Miller would have. And then Devon Vele also left early.
29:22Andy Holloway:Evan Hull and Odrick Estame are the running backs who are currently left for the Saints. They keep competing. Did you see the comments from Chase Young about Tyler Shuck? Oh, dude, Tyler Shuck was a – I mean, he laid it all out. He sacrificed his body to get that win. That was awesome. What an idiotic play on the defense.
29:45Jason Moore:It's insane. Like, you basically, there's one thing you can't do. Hit the sliding quarterback. Hit the sliding quarterback. If you don't do that, you're going to win. Yeah.
29:54Mike Wright:24 for 32, 304 yards, one touchdown. He had already. Clutch performances, and then Chase Young. I mean, he came out and he said, Tyler Shuck, he's like, he's starting to look like that guy.
30:05Andy Holloway:Yeah, because he had gotten banged up earlier in the game. He was hurting, and he played through, and then saves the day with allowing a defender to just crush him on the ground that then turns into the field goal.
30:22Jason Moore:I'm liking what I've seen from Sheldon. I am too. I said that from that first game where they got blown out by the Rams, and I went back and I watched. I was like, he was good. He played well. They're 3-3 in his six starts.
30:33Mike Wright:With a dropped Alave touchdown, that would have put him in four and two. Yeah. And would have helped the Cardinals draft pick.
30:40Jason Moore:Well, and thankfully, this win helped the Cardinals draft pick, and it helped Tyler Shuck have a job. It helped him have a job because this probably – I mean, they're at four wins now, so they're almost – they're definitely not going to be in like the top five or six picks. And they could win another game or two down the stretch with Shuck, and then they'll be outside of where you have to draft a quarterback.
31:00Mike Wright:Yeah, I think he's playing himself into a starting job for the future, which is cool.
31:08Andy Holloway:It's good. They're right now picking seventh. So Saints, Washington, and Cincinnati are all tied at four wins.
31:18Mike Wright:Bashaw Tootin left with a finger injury. Was that you, Jason?
31:23Andy Holloway:I just gave him a good handshake. What are you talking about? Dude, Travis Etienne. has been dominating. Like the last month, it's been craziness.
31:34Mike Wright:I mean, these were what Trevor Lawrence was, five passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown? Yeah. That's insane.
31:40Andy Holloway:Yeah, my prize picks was one and a half passing touchdowns for Trevor Lawrence. I think I got that in like the first five minutes or so.
31:46Mike Wright:Four and a half, you should have taken the over. Yeah.
31:50Jason Moore:Wow, I didn't realize this. Looking at Travis Etienne. Yes! Since the bye week, which was a while ago. It was right in the middle of the season. he had one bad week against Tennessee and he has been a top 12 back every single week
32:04Mike Wright:yeah I mean they're like without overstating it and without failing to acknowledge that Trevor Lawrence can be Jekyll and Hyde they look like a contender to me yeah you have a defense that is strong you have an offense that once they had a Jacoby Myers and now they got Brian Thomas Jr. back they seem formidable and Trevor
32:26Andy Holloway:something's different Something is different with Trevor Lawrence right now.
32:29Mike Wright:Liam Cohen is near the Gus Bradley level of wins for that franchise already. He is.
32:35Jason Moore:Trevor Lawrence and Kyler Murray. I put those guys. I synced them together so much in my mind at the beginning of the season, even before the season, where it's like these are above-average quarterbacks who can play in the NFL, but they're so inconsistent and sometimes disappear. Oh, get ready, though. Well, right. I mean, it could happen, but really. recently it's very impressive Lawrence's I think the biggest thing he has been bad at is consistency and he's been consistent so yeah I mean the test is coming this week in Denver I just want to
33:09Andy Holloway:remind you Jason as we are likely to face off in the league of record semis that Travis Etienne will be on the road against Denver and Bijan Robinson will be playing Arizona I moving on
33:23Jason Moore:moving on i was aware of that hey can you remind me who josh jacobs played this last week and oh and where he played okay was it in denver that starts against denver here we go okay here we go scared yeah he is i'm scared he's not scared he's a man i'm a coward that was news and notes
33:43Mike Wright:sponsored by progressive insurance quote today progressive.com progressive casualty insurance company affiliates and third-party insurers not available in all states or situations coverage subject to policy terms, limits, and conditions. Is it going to be safe to be in the studio next week? No. If you two are facing off? No.
33:58Jason Moore:We're going to need to switch seats. Can't be next to this guy.
34:02Mike Wright:Have you ever faced off with each other in the semis? I don't know. No, I don't think so. With a chance to go to the championship?
34:09Jason Moore:No, I don't think so.
34:11Mike Wright:So is that the way it looks seating-wise?
34:13Jason Moore:It could flip to where I play Josh.
34:17Mike Wright:Are you going to play each other in the Dynasty League, too?
34:20Jason Moore:No, he lost. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
34:22Andy Holloway:If somehow Jalen Warren doesn't get a point. Doesn't end. Does he have a backup? I got to go.
34:28Mike Wright:This Jalen Warren.
34:29Andy Holloway:Don't tell him.
34:30Mike Wright:Don't tell him backups exist. I mean, it's a dynasty league, so a backup would have to be on his team.
34:36Jason Moore:And the other thing that could happen in our league of record, if Waddle scores 22 points tonight. Currently, no, he does. I don't think there's anything he can do. Fantastic. Holy. Fantastic. Crap. In the league of record, if Waddle scores 22, I'll play against Papa Josh. Otherwise, I'm playing against Mike. And that does mean right now, assuming HN doesn't get 40-plus points, three of the four people left are in the studio. So we've got a good chance keeping that trophy here.
35:05Mike Wright:Oh, boy. Let's talk studs.
35:09Jason Moore:This week's Fantasy Stud Muffins, presented by Lowe's.
35:15Mike Wright:Trevor Lawrence, 44.3 points. Bo Nix at 29. Trevor Lawrence stream of the week. Bo Nix against Green Bay. Big performance.
35:22Andy Holloway:That one also. No Pat Bryant.
35:24Mike Wright:Got him out of the way, Mike.
35:28Andy Holloway:Joe Burrow, very, very surprising in the negative way. Bo Nix, very surprising in the other direction.
35:35Mike Wright:Kirk Cousins, Brock Purdy, Jared Goff, your next three. That's right. Kirk Cousins, number three on the week.
35:41Andy Holloway:Thank you, Kyle Burr.
35:41Mike Wright:Brock Purdy, big performance. 23 for 30, 295 and three for Brock Purdy against Tennessee.
35:48Jason Moore:It's funny because I was upset. We told, you know, we have been the most pro-Jacobe Bursette group as far as fantasy, telling you he's not a streamer anymore. You've got to start him every single week. We told you this last week, like, I wouldn't play him this week. But thankfully, the two names that we said most, you know, I was like, if Purdy or Trevor Lawrence is out there, I'd play him ahead. Hey, it worked out because those guys were awesome. Jacobe Bursette is sitting at 12 on the week.
36:18Mike Wright:Wow. I mean, he had three touchdowns, right? He did. He did. I thought he'd be hiring it. Somehow sitting at 12, which means the streak, his streak is top 12 performances. But then Houston's streak is not giving up a top 12. And we still got Monday Night Football games tonight to see if somebody can pass Jacoby. But, yeah, there were some performances that took a while, I'd say. Josh Allen took a while. Matthew Stafford took a while. Jackson Dart definitely took a while. Yeah, it did. That one was not looking good for quite some time. C.J. Stroud found Nico on the opening possession and then kept it going.
36:58Mike Wright:Three touchdowns, no picks. Jason's stream of the week. J.J. McCarthy. J.J.
37:02Jason Moore:McCarthy. Your stream of the week, which was, I mean.
37:05Mike Wright:250 and two of the rushing touchdown.
37:07Jason Moore:Yeah. Best game he's played. He looked great when he wasn't throwing to Justin Jefferson. What's with him and Naylor, man?
37:13Andy Holloway:I don't know. I mean, look, that's step one. Because as of the game in Washington, it was like, he can't throw to the wide receiver position. It just has to go to the tight end. Okay. Maybe some wide receiver, it's possible. I mean, we had – Addison had a nice – Naylor had two, right? And then Addison had that huge bomb. Almost scored. Jefferson did score. If you didn't get to watch the game, Jefferson did score a touchdown, and it got called back. And then he dropped the touchdown, right?
37:45Jason Moore:Yes. Yes, he did. Literally should have had two. And again, these illegal formation things where it's like, this guy wasn't covered and he didn't report eligible. And it's like they had no effect on the play.
37:58Andy Holloway:But, man, McCarthy had some laser beams in that game. I don't know if it's going to work. I still don't know if it's going to work. He dropped one of the laser beams. McCarthy playing against essentially two of the best matchups for a quarterback who needs to get his confidence back. Let's see, what do we got rest of season? We got the Giants coming up. That's another game that McCarthy could boost his confidence. But then you get Detroit and Green Bay.
38:29Mike Wright:There was a reason you traded for Jefferson for the stretch run. Yes.
38:36Andy Holloway:The schedule was great.
38:38Mike Wright:Who plays more, who starts more games in the NFL in their career, J.J. McCarthy or Tyler Shuck?
38:44Jason Moore:Interesting.
38:45Andy Holloway:Wow.
38:45Jason Moore:Wow I'll say McCarthy He's got the team around him
38:53Andy Holloway:I lean that way a little bit too And I mean dude that gritty As he was running for a touchdown That took away some games for me What? Oh man
39:03Mike Wright:The juxtaposition of how absolute But he's been With celebrating Your team is fired up from that I was actually happy I'm sure he had the face from the meme on.
39:16Jason Moore:I was actually happy that he had that attitude, considering how butt he's been, because you can't have him stop believing in himself. That's the beginning of the end.
39:31Mike Wright:Yeah, I don't know. I think just run into the end zone and score a touchdown. Running backs on the week, James Cook, 30 points. A firm hands. Yeah.
39:39Andy Holloway:Just hand the ball to the ref.
39:41Mike Wright:Act like you've been there before.
39:42Jason Moore:I can't stand these touchdown dances.
39:45Andy Holloway:Who am I talking to today? You're talking to some young, hip people.
39:48Mike Wright:O 'Connell hated it.
39:49Andy Holloway:Oh, O 'Connell, Osmonell.
39:51Mike Wright:His players loved it. Oh, my gosh. His teammates loved it. Oh, my gosh. You must love nine, then. You must love the nine nickname. No. No, you do. There's a line. It's fun. There's a line. No. It's fun. You love it. No, I love that. I love the gritty. No, you have to call him nine. James Cook at 30. Travis Etienne at 30. Travion at 29. Bijan at 25. Tracy at 23
40:14Jason Moore:that's Tyrone Tracy as opposed to well just Tracy Dick Tracy who knows you know I just want to know who you were clarifying for it was just because Tyrone Tracy is not someone that everyone started I don't think people out there are like wait who's Tracy why didn't you say Junior we might have thought it was his dad Tyrone Tracy Junior thank you for the correction just trying to help people know who
40:39Mike Wright:scored fantasy points forgive me tyrone tracy jr running back for the giants number 29
40:46Andy Holloway:number five on the week that one the no he had the injury two weeks ago i i got this one wrong i thought singletary would have been the better option here but tyrone tracy looked he looked
40:59Mike Wright:good he got it done so did james cook and we know jason started the week travis etn i feel like jason willed it into existence here he was 12 for 32 on the ground just to be clear yeah it was all They had an amazing performance because of the receiving game.
41:14Jason Moore:Three for 73 and three in the receiving game.
41:19Mike Wright:Travion Henderson is averaging 18.8 PPR points per game since week eight.
41:25Jason Moore:He's so good. He's that guy. And the thing is, is I think that they are doing a good job with Ramondre.
41:33Mike Wright:Ramondre was absolutely great in the beginning of this game. He still ended up six for 50. he averaged eight a carry. And then Travion ends up with the two monster touchdowns because you can't catch him.
41:46Andy Holloway:Yeah, he's so fast. Having Ramondre, I think Ramondre ran more routes than Henderson. That's a little weird to me, but this was better in terms of workload.
41:58Mike Wright:Yeah, the last two weeks, Ramondre, three catches on three targets both weeks.
42:03Andy Holloway:My argument has never been that Ramondre shouldn't ever take snaps.
42:07Mike Wright:I mean, the snaps were up at 67 % for him. He's gone from 31 % to 58 % to 67%, but Travion just made the most of his touches.
42:16Jason Moore:You need to give him enough opportunities so he can break big plays. He had 14 carries, so Ramondre was six carries.
42:23Mike Wright:The carries versus the snaps.
42:25Andy Holloway:That's what it needs to be, is Henderson has to touch the ball 15 or more times a game because your chance of at least one of those turning into a gigantic play, like a momentum shifting play. So fabulous, fabulous stuff. I like it working here at the end of the year.
42:42Mike Wright:Josh Jacobs, two touchdowns, including an incredible receiving touchdown.
42:47Jason Moore:Yes. Masta guy.
42:49Mike Wright:Had to tell the coaching staff to leave him on the field. Oh, yeah. During part of the game when they were trying to call him off.
42:54Jason Moore:He's banged up. He's hurt. He's playing through injuries, and he wants to be on that field every play, and I love it.
43:04Mike Wright:um deandre swift deandre swift ended up with uh i think the largest rushing percentage uh that he's had in a while 18 for 98 and two quietly the court the running back 14 on the year
43:17Jason Moore:that's crazy i mean you look at his entire career not a good day for mononga is uh you look at deandre swift's career and he has never been outside the top 24 running backs never been inside the top 12 he is what he is uh you have
43:40Mike Wright:Kyron two more rushing touchdowns Corum had a career high 46 percent of snaps in this game played well but the he had one rushing touchdown opportunity didn't get it Kyron it took over Tony Pollard decided to run for 100 again Corum did score later later did he yeah okay yeah Tony Tony Pollard, what is going on here?
43:59Andy Holloway:Where has this been?
44:01Mike Wright:Well, they've been scoring points the last two weeks. Might be corollary. Could.
44:06Andy Holloway:Could be causation that Tony Pollard is getting it done.
44:11Mike Wright:Taequann Barkley, 22 for 78-1. JCM was 18 for 96. With the Chris Rodriguez start of the week, that sucks. Rodriguez ruled out late. JCM took over and then dominated.
44:24Jason Moore:And next week is Philly. Really sad.
44:26Andy Holloway:Thank you, Bill. You guys –
44:27Mike Wright:I'll give – Bill, Bill, Bill, Bill, Bill, Bill. Yeah, give it to him now. Yeah, hell yeah. Yeah, I think Rodriguez would have been dominant. Awesome. Dominant. CMC and Javante as well got into the end zone. We will take a break and talk about wide receivers. Do I need to wait?
44:45Jason Moore:I just saw that Christian McCaffrey's on Monday Night Football. That means that Mike and I's matchup would be CMC versus Johnny Taylor on Monday. Johnny Taylor versus CMC and George Kittle on Monday Night Football. That's fun. Woof. Hoofta.

45:55Jason Moore:If you're an NFL fan, ESPN is where you need to be this season. It's the biggest lineup they've ever put together. Monday Night Football, every week, every game on NFL Network, now also available with an ESPN Unlimited plan, and for the first time ever, Super Bowl 61. Marquee matchups, MVP quarterbacks, international games, the whole season start to finish. footballs on ESPN.
46:28Mike Wright:Top wide receivers on the week. I'm on Ross St. Brown, 34.9. Puka Nakua with a career high in yardage, I believe. 180 or so. I don't think he even scored, right? Puka is
46:41Andy Holloway:just a machine. How is he that good? What is he doing?
46:46Jason Moore:What is he doing different than everybody else? He's so strong. I saw PFF talking about how he is currently, with four games to go or something, he has the most contested catch opportunities ever, and he's caught almost all of them. He is so strong, so tough. He is not afraid of contact in any way, shape, or form. He literally got pulled off the field because the dude was cramping up. He had cramps. And then he came back out like a play later, and they called a running play for him. It was like, you know this guy is at his end. He's cramping up. He's cramping up like, jet sweep. Give him the ball.
47:30Jason Moore:It's like, wow. If he dies, he dies. That's what it felt like. I was just mind-blowing.
47:36Mike Wright:He's a tough dude. Jamison Williams, nine targets, seven for 134-1. JMO inside the top ten, four of the last six weeks. When did Guns Mahoney take the play calling? I think it was week nine. Jamison Williams. Weird. I mean, he had a very outlier play called back goose.
47:57Andy Holloway:Against the Giants? Against the Giants.
47:59Mike Wright:But 14-20, 17-23, 13-23, the wide receiver eight.
48:04Jason Moore:If you haven't been paying attention to Jamison Williams, when the year started so poorly for him, Andy, he was one of your my guys this year. He's the my guy. And it was a fail. It was like, oh, well, dang, I can't believe I made him a my guy. You just said it. But on the course of the season, including all the bad stuff in the beginning, he's the eighth highest scoring wide receiver in the NFL right now for fantasy.
48:28Mike Wright:It's crazy. Insane. It's crazy.
48:31Jason Moore:And he's going to finish the year as a wide receiver one.
48:33Mike Wright:Yeah. Yeah, which, I mean, so will Al Monroe. They'll be together inside the top ten. It was a great performance again. I wonder when did Laporta go down?
48:44Jason Moore:because I know that that obviously helped consolidate things. It did.
48:48Mike Wright:Yeah, it was a lot of things.
48:49Jason Moore:It's been out since week 11.
48:51Andy Holloway:Week 10 was his last game.
48:53Mike Wright:I mean, the target, if you want to look pre and post-buy, he's on pace for 72 targets before the buy. He's on pace for 124 targets after the buy. He's on pace for 700 yards before the buy. He's on pace for 1 ,571 yards after the buy. Double-digit touchdowns. it's been a complete change and this is this is part of like we've had this many times we've done the show 11 years we've had whatever that is 33 my guys each it's a bet on the talent but you i mean without opportunity a guy can't get it done i mean dj moore i think was a uh my guy at one
49:32Andy Holloway:point in time for one of us and it was like well well i mean this year is kind of that's been the narrative it's like travion henderson opportunity i they wouldn't give him touches in the first half He did it in week eight, take a Mario Super Mushroom, and all of a sudden he's great at football. No, he always was. He took injuries, remember? It wouldn't have happened. For both guys. Yeah.
49:53Jason Moore:Yeah, it wouldn't have happened without injuries ahead of him.
49:56Mike Wright:Yeah, but Trevo and Jameson Williams, Mike and I were not feeling good. No, not feeling good. Not feeling good. Feeling a lot better now. Feeling great. Feeling great. Nico Collins, two touchdowns, three for 85 on this one.
50:07Andy Holloway:DJ Moore had two touchdowns, including one that if you watch it over and over, you don't understand it. You could have every angle of this touchdown reception, and you'll have no idea how it worked.
50:19Mike Wright:It was an MC Escher painting. It didn't make any sense.
50:22Andy Holloway:Are you going up or down the stairs? He threw it through two guys.
50:26Jason Moore:The ball went through two defender bodies, and then I didn't see DJ Moore catch it, but he had the ball. He did have it at the end.
50:33Andy Holloway:It's like he had it in his shirt.
50:35Mike Wright:And he's just like, oh, here it is. Yeah, Cortland Sutton got it done. 7-1, 13-1, and so did Troy Franklin. Oh, man, Pat Bryant would have dominated.
50:43Jason Moore:Do you think a head coach could go out to David Copperfield, just to some magician and say, illusionist, Jason. Thank you, an illusionist, and figure out a way to just – What about the ultimate trick play? The ball disappears. Jason. And then the guy's 10 yards down the field and whoops, the ball's right here. That would be amazing. What are the rules? There's no NFL rules against this.
51:12Andy Holloway:I won't argue.
51:14Jason Moore:If all of a sudden the play and everyone's looking around for the ball, no one can find the ball. Listen, I think if they could secretly get the ball down the field, they'd be doing it, man. They have not contacted the right illusionist.
51:25Mike Wright:The J.J. McCarthy play was as close as you can get to that. Man, that just – That looked like the ball was handed off.
51:31Jason Moore:I want the camera to be panning. I don't think you can tuck it in your jersey like you're pregnant. Where is the ball? It's in the end zone.
51:38Andy Holloway:If anyone could do it, it's David Blaine. You would vomit out the football. You'd be like, what?
51:46Jason Moore:Unfold it. And it just. Every ref would be holding their flag. Like, do I throw? What do I call? These are the kind of ideas we get when you win. Yeah. I mean, my two best ideas ever is the Yao Ming idea. I'm telling you it would work. That probably came after a win. And the illusionist.
52:07Mike Wright:You want a 7-7 tight end?
52:10Jason Moore:Yeah. Just go four yards out. Throw him the ball really high. Grab it and fall down. Do that 100 % of plays.
52:16Andy Holloway:That player will be chopped down on catch three and never play again. Only one way to find out, Mike.
52:22Mike Wright:So if you're 7-7, what's your wingspan? Are you supposed to be 7-7?
52:26Andy Holloway:It could be a bit longer. It could be.
52:28Mike Wright:But I mean like seven feet. Oh, no. So you would have real, real short arms. But dunking is a 10-foot hoop, which means that all those guys could easily jump up and get the ball, right? Yes. Oh, okay. Actually, I'm discouraged by this math because I thought your plan was good.
52:44Jason Moore:No, no, no. Those cornerbacks, those NFL cornerbacks could not get the ball away from Yao Ming.
52:52Andy Holloway:No, not up there, but they will cut his legs down. But he's going to practice. He couldn't play basketball.
52:57Jason Moore:He's going to practice grabbing and falling.
53:00Andy Holloway:It'll be one motion. Also, they're going to do the math on the amount of money they would make in the NBA versus the NFL.
53:07Mike Wright:You'll start having like freaking 7.7 DBs to cover him.
53:12Andy Holloway:Our corner runs a 6.540, but he's eight feet tall.
53:18Mike Wright:This is so stupid. Jamar Chase, 16 targets, 10 for 132.
53:24Andy Holloway:Somehow Jamar Chase came out okay while Joe Burrow was just poop. How many yards did Burrow have? It can't be much more than that. It wasn't good.
53:34Mike Wright:He had a turnover. 225. Chris Olave. Man. 6 for 185 and 1. Quietly the wide receiver 10 on the season.
53:43Jason Moore:He was having a disappearing act for the majority of the game. Thanks, Mike. I knew that was great. But he has, look, in the Tyler Shuck games, the last six games, I mean, this is a good player. Kyle Pitts, Trey McBride, Dallas Goddard, Colby Parkinson, George Kittle.
54:01Mike Wright:It cannot be understated how good Trey McBride has been. He was 12 for one, 34 and two. You pretty much can't lose with him if he keeps playing like this. That's pretty much the recipe unless you catch some Kyle Pitts on your bench or on your roster.
54:15Andy Holloway:But that's the thing is, Kyle Pitts, like the performance, legendary, you know, like essentially the best tight end performance. in modern fantasy football history. Trey McBride's at 31 points. Like, Trey McBride is not that far behind.
54:32Mike Wright:You realize that on the season, Trey McBride is averaging 16.3. He's number one. The next closest is Kelsey. What? Wait, Kelsey's the— At 10.4 points per game. He's more than George Kills. Which means the third highest is Kyle Pitts on the season. We do a fantasy truth series. we will bring up Kyle Pitts who will show up on all your platforms.
54:56Andy Holloway:This is total points. Okay. This isn't points per game, right? No, that's points per game.
55:01Mike Wright:It says points per game right there. Or is that total points?
55:04Jason Moore:I think so. I'm looking at points per game. You got Tucker Craft was technically second at 12.7. This is sorted by total. Okay.
55:11Mike Wright:But still, the gap between 16 and 12 and Tucker Craft is out and didn't get the whole year. Yeah. It's just there's no comparison right now to Trey McBride. Wow. But total fantasy points, which is what you're going to see at the end of the year with the ranking, Kyle Pitts is going to show up at three or better.
55:26Andy Holloway:Well, just behind him.
55:27Mike Wright:He could be at two.
55:28Andy Holloway:Just behind Kyle Pitts, guys. Dallas Goddard. Oh, and should have been. Six for 72 and should have had three.
55:36Jason Moore:And he dropped a touchdown.
55:37Andy Holloway:Yeah.
55:38Jason Moore:He dropped the easiest touchdown I've ever seen in my life.
55:40Mike Wright:I don't understand this offense. Do you buy into the Colby Parkinson performance now that we have? I do. I do.
55:48Andy Holloway:For touchdowns, I do.
55:49Mike Wright:Well, you now have the number one touchdown scorer, the receiver, Devontae Adams, out. And Colby Parkinson, he has been a top 10 tight end five of six weeks, guys.
56:01Andy Holloway:He is still scoring a lot. He was kind of gifted a touchdown. It was a little strange. You know, I kept watching that. It was just weird.
56:10Mike Wright:I understand why they ruled it. The screenshot on that was a betrayal of the truth.
56:15Andy Holloway:Yeah, because I think he was still bobbling.
56:17Mike Wright:He was bobbling the football and repossessed it when he was in the end zone. And I watched it like five times after Jason or somebody told me that.
56:23Andy Holloway:It felt like a weird play. But yeah, Colby.
56:25Mike Wright:Six touchdowns in six weeks with Devontae.
56:27Andy Holloway:The way that Stafford is playing, Parkinson is playable as a guy that you're just hoping for a touchdown.
56:34Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, if you look at the last six weeks, he's on pace for 17 touchdowns, but only 600 yards.
56:41Mike Wright:It's just going to make a big difference to have no Devontae Adams, though.
56:44Jason Moore:It will.
56:45Mike Wright:and and who who's picking up the slack for adams other than parkinson like is tutu atwell would
56:51Jason Moore:be the guy that i would i would pick up but you know tbd yeah i i wish it would be terrence ferguson getting on the field more and and you know i i think he's still got a bright future
57:01Mike Wright:but he's not there yet i think uh parkinson could ends up end up winning some some titles let's talk duds pooped in his big boy pants well dak threw for zero touchdown almost 300 yards and played
57:21Jason Moore:okay but when you rush all the touchdowns it sucks for fairness and their season's done
57:26Mike Wright:their season's yes joe burrow season over as well he had 30 listen to the contrast of this Joe Burrow, 39 pass attempts. Lamar Jackson, 12. Oh, my gosh. Lamar Jackson completed eight passes. So, I don't know. If you told me that part in the beginning of the week, I probably wouldn't have picked.
57:43Jason Moore:I would not have picked Mark Andrews as my start of the week or encouraged people to play as I likely. I would not personally have played both of those players because. How did you not know? I don't know. I mean. They won handedly. Man, that game was so. So weird. Dumb and weird.
58:02Mike Wright:I mean so dumb and weird um yeah I mean Dak did throw for 294 Jordan Love threw for 276 and won but threw two picks disappointing week that was going to be a tough matchup against Denver Herbert I mean Herbert and Mahomes just took turns running away from defensive linemen in that game and looking frantic and uncomfortable the entire game you know the the McConkie thing it's kind of scary right now they got dallas in dallas next week i yeah probably dallas is playing
58:34Andy Holloway:okay on the defensive side yeah but guys are still scoring on him all right jj mccarthy no i get it
58:39Mike Wright:i just had a good game i'm not saying not playing i'm just saying that lad has been it's been tough
58:44Jason Moore:if you played him i understand it sad mcconkey yeah sad and bad jameer gibbs 13 for 38
58:54Mike Wright:the Lions are 0-6 in every game he doesn't score a touchdown Brees Hall couldn't do anything against Jacksonville we were very worried about Brees Hall same with Jinty 9 for 35 what can you do what can you do in that situation that is a terrible football team
59:12Andy Holloway:there is nothing and you play Houston I mean
59:18Andy Holloway:just call it now is Jinty even playable against Houston
59:23Mike Wright:I don't know. It will obviously depend on who you have on your team, but yeah, maybe not. There's a chance that that's a bad call.
59:31Jason Moore:Yeah, he will be in the place where you've got to look at your lineup and make a decision. He hasn't scored 10 points in three weeks in that offense. Yeah, 9-4-6. And granted, those were three good defenses, right? The Chargers, the Broncos, and the Eagles. Good defenses, but Houston. He scored 6.4 against Dallas.
59:52Andy Holloway:that do so i do not envy anyone making that decision yeah we'll get some start stick
59:58Mike Wright:questions i'm sure they're going to flood in about week 17 um or sorry week 16 ashton jenty hampton 15 for 61 i mean that's not the end of the world just didn't score vidal was worse 12 for 33 um they still won the football game that was a dog fight kansas city low scoring game. I think we kind of joked about that one being low scoring. Judkins, this was a big disappointment.
1:00:23Andy Holloway:This one was massively disappointing.
1:00:25Mike Wright:I know on Sunday Live there were some different rookies being thrown out there, Mike, and you were the most confident. We all were confident in Judkins. Jerome Ford's
1:00:33Andy Holloway:on the IR. Dylan Sampson was ruled out. It's like Judkins is going to be on the field for everything. Three catches for negative four yards.
1:00:42Mike Wright:And only 12 carries. They wanted to put the ball in Shadour's hands so he could throw it to the other team.
1:00:48Andy Holloway:If you were Team Sanders, this was not the week.
1:00:53Mike Wright:Ken Walker has been Kenneth Crawler the last two weeks. It's been real bad.
1:00:57Jason Moore:It's been unstartable. Charbonnet was just as bad.
1:01:00Mike Wright:Yeah. And then Kareem Hunt and Chuba didn't do anything.
1:01:02Jason Moore:So is Indy tough? Are they a tough run defense shutting down Walker and Charbonnet?
1:01:10Andy Holloway:Indy is a good defense.
1:01:12Jason Moore:Who's Christian McCaffrey playing on Monday Night Football?
1:01:15Andy Holloway:They are a tougher defense. That's right! But here's the thing. Like Seattle, where are we with Seattle? I think it's three weeks in a row of you have one good offensive half of football. We haven't talked to P. River yet. They almost lost to Phillip Rivers at home. It took just a miracle drive and a big, long field goal to take the lead back while there was essentially no time left. They almost lost to Phillip Rivers because the offense can't do anything. They didn't score a touchdown. It was, what, five field goals? I can't remember how many they had. I don't know what the score was. Let me pull it up.
1:02:06Andy Holloway:16-13, maybe? So it was... 15-13? It was 18, 18-16. Oh, okay. Their offense is broken right now. Like, very, very broken.
1:02:22Mike Wright:Yeah, I don't know what happened. It ended up being a defensive battle.
1:02:29Andy Holloway:The Sam Darnold conversation. End of season, Sam Darnold.
1:02:34Mike Wright:Well, I mean, look, they're probably going to keep him as their quarterback because the season's been great. They will. But I am. You don't understand how quick stuff changes. If you have a couple of games, if they flame out in the playoffs, he's not the quarterback of the Vikings right now, and he should have been. But recency bias is very powerful. And if you end the season and you throw three picks for 116 yards and you flame out of the playoffs, he'll be their quarterback. But there'll be some, what have we got in Jalen? What do we have in Mill Road?
1:03:09Andy Holloway:There'll be some talk. I'm saying the rest of the... You're playing JSN no matter what. I'd be feeling a little skittish here. You get the Rams? That's who the Seahawks play.
1:03:22Mike Wright:It's Thursday, by the way. Oh, mama. Justin Jefferson. All right.
1:03:31Jason Moore:Yep. Give it to me. Give it to me. Put his handle up. Put his Twitter handle up there.
1:03:37Mike Wright:let's get him situated i don't know if you can zoom i thought justin jefferson
1:03:41Jason Moore:we can digitally zoom after the fact game is there a button for this guy i thought he'd have like eight targets against dallas maybe one more oh he did i thought he could get a touchdown oh he he did he got called back and they're not gonna stop no they shouldn't stop i said i told Justin Jefferson is my fault. I will say this. My saving grace. Hit it again. The thing that makes me okay. But. No, no, no, no. He gave a disclaimer. No, it's not a disclaimer. It's, Mike, you did Sunday Live. Yeah. How many Justin Jefferson questions did you field? Probably, I don't even remember. I remember you saying on there, it's like you have like none.
1:04:25Jason Moore:Like there's nobody's asking questions about Justin Jefferson. I did say I would probably not play him. Yeah. That's great advice. But I'm just happy.
1:04:35Mike Wright:So you made a guy at your start of the week that you knew no one was going to play?
1:04:39Jason Moore:No, no, no. I am surprised. It's not that people didn't play him. It's what we joked about prior. We joked about it, that if you had him, you didn't make the playoffs. So I think it was like, well, it's okay. Yeah. All right. Yeah, yeah. He did.
1:04:57Mike Wright:But the ones that did make the playoffs.
1:04:59Jason Moore:Yeah. Sorry. Hope you got to the next round.
1:05:03Mike Wright:Jordan Addison, 2 for 66. Just four catches between the two guys. George Pickens, 3 for 33.
1:05:09Andy Holloway:No, you don't have to do that. George. Pickens. What is happening?
1:05:17Mike Wright:It's called George Pickens. This is 100 % George Pickens' entire life. George Pickens. You talk about an illusionist.
1:05:25Andy Holloway:George.
1:05:26Mike Wright:He can disappear with the best. George,
1:05:29Andy Holloway:you got three games. Don't fumble the bag, man. George, George, you need it. We all need it. Everyone needs George Pickens to be good.
1:05:40Mike Wright:Here's the real problem is you're going to have this narrative that's going to form for George Pickens. There's dominance without CeeDee Lamb. Then there's some good performances with him. Then there's I don't care about football anymore, George Pickens. and that's going to all frame how much money he gets in this offseason, whether it's a franchise tag, whatever it is. But that's been – we all joke about the fact that why would the Steelers let this guy go? I think it wears thin over time. There are players where it does that. None of that denies the talent of George Pickens. We've had talented players.
1:06:17Andy Holloway:1 ,200 yards and eight touchdowns so far.
1:06:19Mike Wright:I mean, there are a lot of players that have unbelievable talent. I think it really comes down. Josh Gordon and Kadarius Toney and, I mean, superstars.
1:06:26Jason Moore:It really comes down to these next three weeks. I mean, it really does. You know, he has had two bad weeks. Like, it's not the end of the world if he comes back and finishes the year strong. Now, if he has five bad weeks to finish the year, then everything you're talking about, the questions, the contract he can or can't get in the offseason, that'll be a big debate.
1:06:44Mike Wright:But I want to face the number one DB or number one team against wide receivers this next week.
1:06:50Jason Moore:We got my, my guy, George Pickens sitting on the season at wide receiver four. you're my guy Andy currently sitting on the season wide receiver eight but going completely different directions yeah who finishes you'd start jaymo who finishes the season higher
1:07:08Mike Wright:i you're not playing george pickens against the charge i would i would play you know i would i
1:07:13Jason Moore:would definitely start jaymo over pick jaymo's playing pittsburgh i would probably play him
1:07:18Mike Wright:it is weird because you'll never be able to correlate it but it's like these next three games how many millions does they matter for him how many millions of guaranteed dollars
1:07:26Jason Moore:Truly probably less than we want to pretend because the wide receiver marketplace, you covet someone with his skill set. He'll get all the money he wants.
1:07:37Andy Holloway:It's so weird, man. I think that if we do flame out here and it's just three more absolute stinkers, do the good teams show up with the money or is it just the crap teams where it's like, okay, congratulations, you have the money.
1:07:54Mike Wright:should play on the Raiders dude he should be oh he is a perfect Raider my dynasty team needs you to shut up uh this was a bummer Ted McMillan just two for 25 yeah and um Jalen Coker has been involved Ladd McConkie two for 20 his last um four games he's had three of them with three or fewer points and you've had missing pieces right it's not like the Chargers have had some other guy step up to be dominant. Quinton Johnson was even out of this game. You do get to play Dallas, but then it's Houston-Denver. Like Ladd McConkie right now, you can play him next week. Yep. But you better have a plan beyond that, because I don't know if Houston's the matchup you want for your championship.
1:08:37No.
1:08:38Andy Holloway:With the offensive line, the way that it is for the Chargers, there's just... Herbert can't really be great.
1:08:46Mike Wright:Andrews likely. Bowers to 6 for 28. Jake Ferguson, who was banged up, 2 for 16. This one sucked. Dalton Kincaid, three for 34. No, I didn't.
1:08:57Jason Moore:It was beautiful.
1:08:59Mike Wright:Yeah, Jason was playing against Kincaid. I should have seen that because Dawson Knox was the one that caught the touchdown. Tyler Warren, three for 19. Everyone wanted to know whether they could play him.
1:09:08Andy Holloway:Well, all Colts. Michael Pittman was, what, three for 26. Alec Pierce, one for 16. Phillip Rivers did not throw for 200 yards.
1:09:18Mike Wright:I'm not joking. Like, I can make all the throws Phillip made.
1:09:24Andy Holloway:they yeah we didn't really we haven't talked much phil rivers um so can you by the way did you see the play where he kind of fell down and then he had to stand up and it looked so difficult
1:09:37Jason Moore:he slipped in the pocket he wasn't touched needed to get up and continue the play and it looked like
1:09:44Andy Holloway:how i get up when my knees are hurting standing up no hands at that age and that physical level of fitness it was pretty tough. And yet. I mean, I give him more credit than Oh, sure. I mean, it's so amazing what he did. He should have won. It looked like the throws, it looked like that last year of Peyton Manning where this is still a quarterback who mentally is great. He can read defenses. He knows his limitations.
1:10:18Mike Wright:but that ball was just so everything he's got everything he's got left now did you tell people to start him over burrow mike because that would have been i did not oh my gosh he scored more
1:10:29Jason Moore:points than burrow yeah gross i added him to one of my teams on the bench as like a leadership position yeah oh nice i figured i i think he is part of the reason you you want to talk about you know them being in the game that how the colts defense played it's probably philip rivers actually made an impact there. And it was probably the right move to put him in over Riley Leonard. And they were so close to winning that game.
1:10:54Mike Wright:I hate that a field goal with like 30 to 40 seconds left is like, you're going to lose. That's how it feels in the NFL now. Yeah. If you don't, it feels like you're, yeah, you're probably going to lose. I mean, because the kickers make them from so far now. And like, I think, hmm. I mean, I didn't just win, so maybe my idea sucks. But I think you should narrow the uprights. I think you should bring them in, what, a foot or two each side at least? Five yards each side. Not sure. Eat each. Well, look.
1:11:28Jason Moore:What does that make it then? Impossible. Get kickers out of the game.
1:11:33Mike Wright:Did you say yards? Yes. Not feet? Look, if you narrow them, you kick less vehicles total because your risks go up. So you get more fourth downs, which is what people want anyways.
1:11:45Andy Holloway:Maybe. um so what are you what are you feeling about warren and pitman terrible terrible oh you can't
1:11:53Mike Wright:you see anthony richardson is going to be practicing he's been cleared medically i i don't
1:11:57Jason Moore:think you can start a pass catching option for okay the colts it's jonathan taylor and check out
1:12:04Mike Wright:now yeah san francisco and jacksonville and houston to finish the year it's probably
1:12:09Andy Holloway:i mean that's just gonna be tough sledding for jt so the the width of the goal post is 18 feet and six inches and you want to take five yards off of each i don't think we can do that i mean
1:12:20Mike Wright:it would be impossible yeah yeah you would it would move the left or upright would become the right and the right upright would become the left yeah and you would have a new gap right so i get
1:12:29Jason Moore:what you're saying does work yeah i get what you're saying it works you're a mad man a yard
1:12:33Mike Wright:is three feet right yeah so you want 15 and i think it might be wider now I'm not sure incredible incredible job yeah I feel horrible about all Colts fantasy players that was Studs and Duds presented by Lowe's Lowe's no Sundays are for NFL football earn your Sunday with Lowe's official partner of the NFL waiver wire tomorrow good luck in your Monday night football games a lot of really important players tonight Devon A. Chan the last report I saw by the way Jim Warren expected to play I expected the play.
