Key claims
- Puka Nakua was the dominant fantasy driver in Rams-Seahawks: “Puka show,” with the idea that a small catch turns into huge yardage.
- Bench decisions matter: if you benched Matthew Stafford and played Puka, you were “toast.”
- Sam Darnold’s inconsistency is framed as “one half” changing perceptions, but still high-risk for fantasy.
- Injury/inactivity news is crucial: multiple players are questionable/limited (Jacobs, Watson, Rice, Higgins, Kincaid, Harrison, Pitts, Chubb/Marks, etc.), and rankings may update up to kickoff.
Notable examples
- Rams-Seahawks: Stafford had 457 passing yards/3 TD upside discussed, but in the game he had 2 TDs? (hosts emphasize Stafford underperformance and dropped catches); JSN had 0 at halftime; Ken Walker kept Seattle alive; Rashid Shaheed had 0 catches but key momentum plays.
- Jaguars: Jacoby Myers extension (3 years, $60M) and fantasy implications for targets; Chiefs/Chiefs-players protocol talk; Broncos-Jaguars focus on Etienne volume vs touchdown risk.

1:08Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
1:26Mike Wright:Welcome in.
1:31Mike Wright:Huh. Well. Huh. Thursdays are packing a punch right now. Last Thursday, Kyle Pitts, master of the universe. All right. Last night. What was the over-under before the game? Between the two of the best defensive teams in football.
1:49Jason Moore:I would have guessed.
1:51Mike Wright:Kyle, are you?
1:51Jason Moore:Yeah, Kyle, look it up. I would. Remind me. I guess 43 and a half or something.
1:55Mike Wright:We did that on Wednesday. They doubled that, Jay, almost. I mean, the game was... 38-37? It was two different games. Even this game, way too boring for Al Michaels. 43 and a half.
2:11Mike Wright:Terrible. I don't know. What? I don't know. There wasn't just that call. It wasn't just the puka call that he barely realized was going to be a huge touchdown. He's just, his voice is always awesome. It's iconic and wonderful. I'm not saying it's not awesome, but oh my gosh, Kevin Harlan, Ian Eagle. Well, that's the difference now. Get those guys in there.
2:31Andy Holloway:Is we have something different. Like, what was it? Sajak with Madden? First down. Like, this is what announcing used to be.
2:43Mike Wright:Yeah, but he's, but it's, you can't have your inflection not change when a score happens. That's all I'm saying. You have to be able to tell when. Scream a little bit. Pat Sajak is the host of.
2:53Andy Holloway:Yeah, that's Wheel of Fortune. That's why I just let that one go. Pat Summerall? Summerall, yeah. How about this? Help me out, guys. Well, I couldn't remember Summerall.
3:01Mike Wright:I didn't know where you were searching. Get off my back. I'm saying. If you want to get on my back, talk about Colby Parkinson's failure.
3:07Andy Holloway:This, well, we could talk about the entirety of the game. Like, anything I saw happening in that game went the complete opposite. You didn't see Xavier Smith and Mumfield pronounced with an umfield? No. I didn't see my hero, my guy, Ken Bone Walker, on my benches everywhere. It's the freaking Rams, dude. Yeah. And it's just been terrible. And then the game was so weird. You have the first half. Seattle's offense, fully inept. JSN had zero. Goose. Full goose. JSN was at zero points at halftime. The only reason the Seattle Seahawks had any glimmer of hope in that opening half was because of Ken Walker.
3:55Andy Holloway:It wasn't because of Sam Darnold in the first half. No. I mean, they were not letting him throw. It was, you know, two big Ken Walker plays. And then it really was the meme. I was like, oh, Ken Walker. Oh, get him out of there. We got to get charms in. Who then scores and succeeds.
4:11Mike Wright:Yes. Rashid Shahid had zero catches in the game and might have been the most important player in the game. Oh, he turned the whole thing around. He turned the whole game around. It was an instantaneous momentum shift. The two-point conversion off of the lateral.
4:27Jason Moore:The failed two-point conversion that was called dead because we all watched it and it wasn't. And then afterwards, they're like, nah, they did score. That was crazy. But they say the Zachwards pass.
4:37Andy Holloway:Yeah. Puka was pretty mad.
4:41Mike Wright:I mean, Puka and Akua, 12 for 225-2. We have Al Borland in the office in the Dynasty League, which his thirst for success there is proportionate to his run of ineptitude there. That was a compliment and an insult. Do you like that?
5:00Jason Moore:It felt a lot more like an insult.
5:01Mike Wright:He has Puka Nakua and Jackson Smith and Jigba on his Dynasty team. And Kyron. And the odds of both scoring in the extra period are astronomical.
5:12Jason Moore:astronomical two touchdowns in an overtime is very rare but two in general to anybody to both players on your team to get two touchdowns in overtime crazy it's wild so and look we said that matthew stafford was not a great play yeah i mean everything is stupid um everything on that game went up the beginning of the game i'm watching x 30 mile an hour winds the winds were the talk of the town it's going to be a nightmare obviously two of the best defenses in the league this is going to be just a divisional slugfest which it kind of was for a half and then the you know the field caught fire wind died down and everyone it was a nuclear yeah colby parkinson i was i was in
6:03Mike Wright:on this week. If you then told me ahead of the week that you'd have 457 passing yards and three touchdowns for Matthew Stafford, I would have doubled down on it. He had two for 21. He dropped two easy catches. Terrence Ferguson was three for 33. Davis Allen two for 34. This is a real Kincade, Hawes, and Knox situation. It was the Puka show. Nobody had more than three catches other than Puka Nakua. Seattle.
6:30Jason Moore:There's one guy. They were trying, man. They They bracket him. They put two guys on him. There's one guy. He's not just one guy, Mike. He's one dude. You can't. He was every time that he catches the ball, he gets so many more yards than the amount of defenders there are nearby. A two-yard catch is an eight-yard catch for Puka. It's unbelievable. He is a manimal out there. And unfortunately, our Dino Junior League, we took our advice. We benched Matthew Stafford. Right. we played against Puka Nakua. Oh we did? Yeah so we're toast. Oh okay.
7:07Mike Wright:Oh you're done. Yeah we played against Puka.
7:12Jason Moore:Josh I believe your dynasty league you have. No his league of record. Oh league of record? Oh that's way worse. That's where you've got Puka. He's all the way through. And your opponent benched Stafford. Yeah okay.
7:23Mike Wright:One of the stories there was so much Blake Corum out there. Corum was somebody I felt good starting and I think I said something like I'd start him over Ken Walker or Charbonnet. so one of that one of those one of those was right one was wrong quorum 14 carries kyron 23 carries kyron did not get into the end zone but quorum still seems really viable right now on a week-to-week
7:44Jason Moore:basis 39 rushing attempts for the rams has anyone ever gone eight for 96 and one after goosing in the first half like that's got to be to do nothing in the first half and then end up with a monster
7:57Andy Holloway:game through that first half and then even the second half where sam darnel's just throwing disgusting interceptions you're like holy crap the the min this is like four weeks in a row now of that happening minnesota the executives over there are just like ah we told you not he obviously
8:17Mike Wright:redeemed himself yeah then they won but the this is what i'm talking about for any player not just Darnold, one half of football in prime time when it mattered, when it was high pressure, this is not even playoffs, right? This isn't lose and go home. One half was enough to get a groundswell of, oh, that helmet's starting to look green again, like a Jets helmet. This is the same old Sam Darnold. One half was enough to be like, oh, he's not the guy. He can't get you there. Well, it was a one-half compounded with the previous three weeks. well look they're on the cusp of a bye
8:52Andy Holloway:I didn't know I can't understand what Seattle is
8:56Mike Wright:I'm telling you that's setting you up even worse if you have a bye and you have a home game and you win zero playoff games I'm telling you I'm telling you it's high risk for Sam Darnold no matter what
9:06Andy Holloway:it is and the what it was I don't know how to explain Seattle that was an awful team and then somehow a great team that won a lot of three and outs in the second half for the Rams when the momentum shifted I know, they won I get it, you can still criticize a team when they win the use of Ken Walker and Charbonne blows my mind, absolutely blows my mind, that a singular player kept you in the game, and then you're like we should 50-50 these carries, it's so weird to me so weird
9:46Mike Wright:yeah, Walker is I mean, Walker is Walker. He is always, always capable of explosive, amazing plays, and he's always, always capable of running laterally all the way across the field and out the side. I mean, he was awesome. He made two tremendously huge plays. You also had Charbonnet into the end zone. You had A.J. Barner with a great touchdown. You had a game full of fantasy value, but if you bench Stafford, you're not feeling great. And you're not alone. And if you played Parkinson, I get it. I mean, I thought he'd be good. He wasn't. Weird. Weird. There you go. It's Friday.
10:27Jason Moore:Put Clan Friday.
10:33Mike Wright:Every week we give$100 away to FantasyChamps.com. It's a nice time of year to be getting that with all the trophies and belts.
10:39Andy Holloway:Well, we give the money to supporters of the podcast. We don't give it away to Fantasy.
10:44Mike Wright:Is that what I implied? Yeah. No, we don't give$100 to a profitable entity. I mean, every week we give$100 to Amazon.
10:54Andy Holloway:I hope that I'm going to be giving them so much money after I win.

10:58Mike Wright:A weekly giveaway to one of our supporters at JoinTheFoot.com. Danica, Danica the winner this week of$100 towards FantasyChamps.com. Congratulations. Let's talk news.
11:14Jason Moore:news and notes from around the league presented by progressive insurance jamar chase better have watched that game why is that to be inspired by like
11:28Mike Wright:that's what he needs he really needs to be inspired to play well well i we need something
11:33Andy Holloway:we i i just i need didn't he have like 7 000 yards last week yeah like 130 i'm just saying i We need the true number one wide receiver to see that and be like, no, we've got to calm down on this book of crap. I'm Jamar Chase, baby.
11:47Mike Wright:Jacoby Myers, three-year,$60 million extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The implications here are significant, I think, for the long-term fantasy perspective of Jacksonville. They obviously love him. He's been great. He's turned their season around in a lot of ways. sometimes having a player that is just consistent always open catches the football Jacoby is good like he's not a prototypical he's not TO but this is a guy like you know like what Michael Wilson has been doing lately where you're just reliable catch the football Brian Thomas Jr that was the problem all during the year Travis Hunter down with injury now you're gonna have all right now you're gonna have all three of those guys it makes you wonder if Brian Thomas is long for that team but well he still has what up to three years because he was with the rookie contract he's the first one pick certainly but you can trade him and it's an attractive he was a trade rumor target around the deadline and all i'm saying is is duval brought in jacoby myers and
12:51Andy Holloway:extended him and drafted travis hunter it's a wild investment in the wide receiver position
12:58Jason Moore:My big fear here is that Etienne's going to be a free agent after this year, and the fact that they just invested$60 million into their wide receiver three is like, you might not have enough money for Etienne. I don't think the world gets better for Etienne anywhere else. I think his best fantasy value is returning to Jacksonville.
13:18Mike Wright:Josh Jacobs, Christian Watson, both listed as questionable. Jacobs went, did not practice, did not practice, did not practice. Will Dominate.
13:26Jason Moore:You forgot the last one. did not practice did not practice did not practice will dominate if if this is my only caveat if he makes the flight did he get on the plane like you mean maybe he misses his alarm right i know i'm just saying like you know he's got to travel with the team yeah he that's one of your that's one of my prerequisites must be in the city where the game
13:49Mike Wright:should we add that to our player profiles like travel on plane current location josh jacobs
13:54Andy Holloway:can 100 % not practice the entire week, go out, and be great for fantasy. It's a Saturday game. Make sure you are aware of what is happening.
14:04Mike Wright:Watson was limited, limited, limited. He'll play. Watson's going to give it a go. I don't know how confident you want to be with that play, but I think he'll probably have a big deep shot or two.
14:16Jason Moore:He's scary because I can very easily see Watson leaving. that as soon as he gets a pass and gets tackled onto the shoulder, the chest, collarbone area, which the way that he usually is downfield when you're getting tackled, it's the fall down, get crunched type of moves. And I could see him exiting the game after even a good play. So he's a scarier start to me.
14:43Mike Wright:And yet in the shadows two weeks ago against the same team, number six overall wide receiver with two touchdowns and 89 yards. Yeah. So it's really about the options that you have. Our rankings always being updated. Sometimes people write in and they're like, well, you said something on the show that's slightly different than your rankings. This show is a snapshot of an hour. And so sometimes the show informs and we change rankings after the show. Sometimes, you know, we're changing rankings throughout the week. So our job is to inform you and give you all the information that you need to make a good decision.
15:16Mike Wright:the rankings are part of that the start sit tool that gives you all that information about the weather and the over-unders that's part of that and what we say on the show and share the opinions it changes our opinion sometimes but yeah we're working on rankings right basically up until kickoff so check them late luther burden and roma dunze officially ruled out
15:35Andy Holloway:that's an interesting sound i'm just bummed for burden missing the game deandre swift
15:40Mike Wright:questionable this is it's dj moore it's colston mr loveland himself i am excited for mr loveland devin neal's on ir for the saints now alvin camara didn't practice so it's going to be audric estimate most likely starting at running back we did the quote is nick underhill beat
16:02Andy Holloway:reporter says audric estimate will quote probably start at running back i don't really care if he
16:06Mike Wright:starts or not either. I just know that he'll be the one that I'd rather play between him and Evan Hall.
16:12Andy Holloway:My chips are on Estime. If I'm going in on that because I need a nasty start, Estime is who I'm going with over Evan Hall. Please have a good game. Estime.
16:24Mike Wright:Rashi Rice, Taequann Thornton didn't practice. Both are in concussion protocol. Rashi Rice is really up in the air for this week. T. Higgins limited again on Thursday. If you're the Chiefs, the fact you got eliminated is so significant and that there's no Patrick Mahomes right now to the decision not the decision on Rice but onto the the protocol you might take with a player that's a part of your future like putting Rashi Rice out there had they won last week and they are still underdogs to make the playoffs but they're still in the fight he's got to be out there you know assuming he passes
16:54Jason Moore:protocol in this situation you can give him another week there is it's been a while since they they have not been picking 31 or 32 you know this is a team that is not used to having a decent pick in the NFL draft. Now that they're out, they're not like the average, you know, like the Dolphins who are like, they're kind of used to, well, we got to get a winning mentality. We can't just try to tank. We can't just worry about draft picks. We've got to create a culture of winning. The Chiefs got that on lockdown. The Chiefs are like, dude, we should go get this pick. That's why maybe part of why you made the almost upset for the Titans.
17:32Jason Moore:I mean, they're playing literally
17:33Mike Wright:the the it could be no mahomes no rice at home against an eliminated chiefs it's just yeah right
17:41Jason Moore:now they're picking 12th they've got the 12th pick that's wild and they it's funny to even think about
17:45Andy Holloway:the top 10 pick and for t higgins he was i think the early reports were that he was not at practice on thursday and then that got corrected that he was in fact limited so for who for t higgins like It's not – I still am on the side of I don't think he plays, but he might.
18:04Mike Wright:All right, we got bad news, good news. Dalton Kincaid did not practice again on Thursday with the knee. He has been really struggling to manage that and then to be productive in the games he's playing in right now where they're using other tight ends.
18:15Andy Holloway:I thought the good news, bad news was about Marvin Harrison.
18:18Mike Wright:No, the good news is Tett McMillan returned to a full practice on Thursday. That's exciting. Marvin Harrison limited on Thursday. He was running behind Michael Wilson, but it seems like he'll be back. Just on like a sprint?
18:34Jason Moore:Like they were, he's just lagging a little bit behind? I liked it. That one was for myself. You'll have to explain it to me after the show.
18:45Andy Holloway:I will. Drake London Limited. Well, Kyle Pitts was added to the injury report.
18:51Mike Wright:That's not surprising to me, though, because he was there last week. this was part of why there was some doubt going into Thursday about Kyle Pitts it was the knee and he was on the injury report and you got a little bit skittish and then he went for 40 yep so I'm not afraid I guess uh where I am afraid Woody Mark's not practicing again for the Texans Mike's start of the week is the Houston running back so it's a real murky situation
19:16Jason Moore:because we don't know yet about Nick Chubb if Nick Chubb is active along with Jor Jordan who was their little breakout pick last week, it becomes where I'm not sure who to start. I'm really not sure whether you want to, as a team, see what you have in this guy who went 15 for over 100 last week and now you're just figuring out your pieces. Or, look, Chubb has obviously been the starter. He's gotten work. He's just been injured. And you're a team that is wanting to win. This should be an easy win. I don't know who to play. Now, obviously, if Chubb and Woody Marks are gone, then I'm completely in on Jordan having a great game.
19:55Jason Moore:But if Chubb is active, are you wanting your start of the week is this team? So are you starting both? Are you starting Chubb? Like, how do you sort that out?
20:06Andy Holloway:I can see the like the the thought exercise you're going through. But it's this is a Texans team that's they want to establish the highest playoff seed that they can get. This isn't a team trying to figure out what's next year. They need to win right now. And, yeah, it should be an easy win. But the NFL is crazy sometimes. So I would think that if Chubb is active, he will be the guy who's getting the bulk of the touches. I mean, he's – and for a reminder, Jordan is – he's a smaller guy. He's 5 '10", 186. So maybe he gets worked in a little bit as the relief running back, but I still think that Chubb will get the high-value touches.

23:04Mike Wright:Well, we took care of the Saturday games yesterday in terms of the matchup previews. views the Eagles, Commanders, Packers, Bears. Those will be fun. Bills, Browns, Chargers, Cowboys, Chiefs, Titans, Bengals, Dolphins, Jets and Saints also covered on yesterday's episode. If you want to hear our breakdown of those games, you can click on yesterday's show and it'll just play. We set it up like that.
23:27Jason Moore:Yeah.
23:27Mike Wright:Automatic. One click. Yeah. You don't have to do anything else. Eight more matchups today. Minnesota at New York. Minnesota 6-8. The Giants 2-12. Vegas line. Minnesota minus 2-1-2 over under 43-1-2. the Giants have lost eight straight games. I believe Jackson darts record as a starter is now two and seven. Um, they have lost four straight since Dable was fired. There were one in six and one score games. They are, you know, there was a point in the season when I was kind of like, and it was probably when Dable was the head coach, to be honest, when I felt like their fight proportional to talent, like they were out kicking their coverage, so to speak.
24:06Mike Wright:Um, you know, they've had, They've suffered the scataboo injury and the neighbor's injury, and it's been tough.
24:11Jason Moore:But they currently have the number one pick even over the Raiders.
24:15Mike Wright:Yeah, yeah. So right now they don't feel like they're as fun of a bet to produce something in fantasy. Even Jackson Dart makes me nervous right now.
24:27Andy Holloway:It's a tough matchup.
24:28Mike Wright:Yeah, it's a tough matchup. I don't – last week he got it going late, sort of, and was fine.
24:36Andy Holloway:I mean, top 10, he scored 22 points. He was top 10? Yeah.
24:41Mike Wright:Was he ahead of Brissette?
24:42Andy Holloway:Yeah. I mean, 22 points. Even if you're like, hey, I'm the QB 10. But at 22 points, that's, you'll take that.
24:49Mike Wright:It did scare me, though, not producing and then now having this matchup.
24:52Jason Moore:Yeah, five top 10 finishes in his seven starts. I do think you could start Jackson Dart, and I realize that the matchup is tough with the Vikings. They obviously did not give up a lot to Dak Prescott last week. But again, they gave up 300 yards. And the touchdown just came on the ground. I'm okay starting Jackson.
25:12Mike Wright:I'm going to give you some start sets with this because they're in the dock here. Dart versus Caleb. Caleb's my start of the week against Green Bay.
25:18Andy Holloway:I have Caleb ahead. Let me go just confirm where everybody is. I have Dart ahead.
25:25Mike Wright:Herbert against Dallas or Jackson Dart. I've got Herbert. I've got Herbert. And then this one is still in the show doc here, and Kyle's like, oh, crap, this was in yesterday's show. What about Stafford?
25:35Jason Moore:Oh, I'll definitely go Stafford.
25:36Mike Wright:Yeah, I would go Stafford. Would you go Stafford, Mike?
25:39Andy Holloway:Yeah, what do you think now? If I get all of Stafford's points from yesterday, I would go that direction.
25:45Jason Moore:Now, that's not to say Dart couldn't outscore him still. Now that we've gone firmly on the Stafford side, Dart's going to go nuclear.
25:53Mike Wright:We should start doing our Thursday night previews on Friday morning and then cut them back into the show on Wednesday. You know what I mean? Go back and listen. Yeah, Parkinson. Huge dud.
26:02Andy Holloway:I don't know, guys. I feel like the first half's going to be terrible, and then there's going to be about 70 points scored the second half.
26:09Mike Wright:I think Stafford, against this defense on the road, he's set for about 450 yards. J.J. McCarthy has been a top-ten quarterback of his own in his own right the last two weeks, completed 66 % of his passes, five touchdowns, and he's proven he can do it all without utilizing the best wide receiver in football. just imagine just to show what he's capable imagine what once mccarthy chooses to throw
26:34Andy Holloway:the ball to jefferson yeah to be fair it was really jefferson's fault last week uh jj mccarthy hopefully you don't have to do it but he he's startable against the giants aaron jones 15
26:48Mike Wright:opportunities averaged over the last six weeks is he better than a start of tracy on the other side
26:53Jason Moore:I think he is. If you're getting the opportunity. Oh, better than Tracy. Well, the matchup against the Giants, you expect, I mean, right now the Vikings are favored. So if you're just saying touchdown opportunities, probably lean towards him. But it's very close. I think both players are decent starts. I just like what I've seen from Aaron Jones. It was really surprising. I thought when he hurt his shoulder again, he was just going to be shelled for the year. And instead they're like giving him more work than ever. And the matchup, I mean, 31st against running backs on the course of the season are the Giants.
27:25Jason Moore:So I would like to play against them.
27:27Andy Holloway:Yeah, I agree. I think the Vikings are the running back room is interesting. I would play Tracy over Aaron Jones. But like Jordan Mason coming through with a couple touchdown game wouldn't be the weirdest thing here either.
27:43Mike Wright:I was just asking Kyle if Aaron Jones has any contract incentives because he's he fits the mold of the contract incentive of type of player that I would pay attention to, which is playoff eliminated team, veteran leader, where you're kind of catering towards helping that guy accomplish a goal. I'd be curious about that type of a dude.
28:04Jason Moore:Well, that type of a situation is still true for Justin Jefferson, who, you know, we've brought this up and they brought this up on the broadcast that the head coaches come out and said that their goal is they have to get Justin Jefferson a thousand yards this year. Like that is one of the most important things to them. He is far enough away where to get a thousand yards means he's got to have a couple big games.
28:25Mike Wright:You don't think the four yards, 11 yards, and 22 yards were really helping? I don't think that was helping, and I don't think that's going to stick. He's on. Justin Jefferson over the last three games on pace for 209 receiving yards, 34 catches on 102 targets. Yeah.
28:40Jason Moore:I don't think that's going to continue. That catch rate, brother.
28:44Mike Wright:Oh, man. anybody else on the Giants that you want to talk about 28 % target share for Wondell Robinson Darius Slayton can just eat a butt because tell us how you really feel this dude is like always on the cusp of mattering and then he just drops passes he shouldn't drop or runs routes he shouldn't run is that a little too strong look at this we have cared about Darius Slayton in some capacity since about week 8 and we have been happy, like really, really happy, never. I mean, one catch, two catch, four catches. I think you're being too rough on him.
29:23Andy Holloway:I mean, for what I consider to be, I'm happy in Darius Slayton. 10.9 to 13.1 for playing Darius Slayton? I'm pretty happy with that.
29:35Mike Wright:Yeah, and 3, 8, 2, and 7 the other games. Yeah, no, 3 are rough. You heard me.
29:42Andy Holloway:Oh, I did. You heard me. We all heard it. Eat. Yeah, no, yeah, we got it. We got it. I wouldn't play Slayton either this week. And the matchup is, it's rougher for Theo Johnson, but six top 12 finishes in his last 10 games. Him and Dart, they got something going on. So I'm not afraid to play Theo.
30:04Mike Wright:Are you afraid to play Addison? He hasn't been in the top 24 since week seven.
30:09Andy Holloway:Yes, even with the matchup being what it is, I would be afraid.
30:12Mike Wright:Tampa Bay 7-7. The Panthers 7-7. Oh. So many sevens. Tampa Bay minus three on the road. No respect.
30:21Jason Moore:Super important game.
30:23Mike Wright:Over under 45 and a half. Tampa Bay still three-point favorites with Carolina in the driver's seat, but they play twice in the next three weeks, and this is the playoffs. I mean, this is who's going and who's not. so we have I think some questions in this game um Baker is really not a startable quarterback
30:48Jason Moore:right now yeah I mean you you have the the hope narrative that now that he's got Mike Evans back and the whole core is together that he can get it together and look like he looked to open the season look like he looked all of last year but I you pretty much have to wait and see it before you put him in a lineup and I don't know that we have time so I agree you're not starting Baker right now he's definitely not a top 12 play if you're in a single quarterback league you're starting Mike Evans right yes 38 % targets here in the first game back we went it went right back to
31:21Mike Wright:it we thought maybe they'd temper the uh snaps they didn't no they they tempered him for Emeka
31:27Jason Moore:Ibuka they you know what's funny is they did temper his snaps but what happened was and I I think they should just continue to temper his snaps. So they gave him 55 % of the snaps. 55! Whereas he's usually, you know, an 80%, 90 % snap player. But it was basically, it felt like every time Baker would get in the huddle or break the huddle, he'd look out and go, okay, I got Evans on this play. And so he'd throw it to him every time he's in the game because he's not sure how often he's going to be in the game. So it's like whenever Evans was out there running a route, he got the ball. he just connects better with Evans which makes sense a second ballot Hall of Famer in Mike Evans
32:07Andy Holloway:he is now because he can't get a thousand yards this year
32:11Mike Wright:Emeka Abuka or Jaden Reed, Ladd McConkie and DJ Moore
32:16Andy Holloway:oh my gosh I think I'd play DJ Moore just trying to hit a ceiling
32:24Mike Wright:Chris Godwin did not practice on Thursday oh Neither did Mike Evans. But they marked it down as rest. What is Godwin's DMP marked as? Kyle, do you have that? It says fibula slash rest. Okay, so they're resting his fibula? Dude, you gotta rest those bones. Evans is resting his collarbone. That's what it's listed as. Collarbone slash rest. So it's double rest.
32:52Jason Moore:Their fibula has been worked, guys. You've never been put on bone rest? You gotta have a little bit of bone rest today Drink some milk Oh they're probably doing milk IVs And lay down Straight to the blood for you I do chocolate milk IV It's veteran rest while they are banged up And it makes sense That means they're gonna play
33:15Andy Holloway:The other fibula though
33:17Jason Moore:Active I'm working that thing I agree with Mike DJ Moore to me is like He's in. I just see the pathway with now that Burden and Odunze are out, there's got to be enough work for Mr. Loveland. Oh, Mr. Loveland. And DJ Moore. And then I want the Dallas defense for Ladd McConkie. I would play both those guys over Igbig Boo. Ted Arroa McMillan practicing in full. He's in. I would play him over Igbig Boo. Yes.
33:51Mike Wright:Yeah, Ted Aroa had kind of the down game last week against New Orleans when they lost a very important game that they needed, just two catches. That's the kind of wild thing about the last – he has five catches in his last three full games. Five total. Crazy. Not each game. Two, one, two.
34:09Andy Holloway:Yeah. It's been a little slow here.
34:11Mike Wright:Yeah, there's a world where Jalen Coker is an okay start in this one. I agree. The defense for Tampa Bay, we thought, like about halfway through the year, this would be a great playoffs situation. it's not really. They're just giving up too many points. 32nd, dead last against opposing quarterbacks. This is why Mike brought up Bryce Young as a streaming candidate. It's why I thought about making him a start of the week. Didn't do it. But if I would have, and he does good.
34:37Andy Holloway:Yeah, speaking of that, of what we did with Stafford, could I replace Rico Dowdle, who I started over, Ken Walker? Could I move Ken Walker in? Are we doing that for all the players? No. Oh, man. Stafford. Only Stafford. Yeah.
34:54Mike Wright:Dowdle, I think, will be okay in this game. I really do.
34:57Andy Holloway:I played him over Ken Walker, so I thought he was.
35:00Mike Wright:You can't be mad yet.
35:01Andy Holloway:Yeah, I can. Oh, okay. I can be mad because I did this to myself. I betrayed. You just never believed in Ken Walker. I betrayed.
35:11Mike Wright:Your whole career as a fantasy analyst.
35:13Andy Holloway:My boy!
35:15Jason Moore:I've betrayed my boy! I think Ken Walker is on. What's the line?
35:21Mike Wright:Dowdle is your boy, too, okay?
35:23Andy Holloway:Not over Ken Walker.
35:25Mike Wright:If you had to just pick one son.
35:26Andy Holloway:I've abandoned my son. That's what the line is.
35:29Mike Wright:Yeah, yeah, well. I'm sorry, Ken. You know, you went Rico. We'll see what happens. Yeah, I deserved it. Jacksonville's 10-4. They take on the 12-2 Denver Broncos. The Vegas line, Denver minus three at home. The over-under is 46-1. half how many games have the broncos won in a row right now is it 12 is it really goodness gracious um i don't think they started maybe not 12 i think they've won a bunch in a row right i'm
35:59Andy Holloway:waiting for kyle to jump in but they definitely have won a lot of games he's got a milk iv going over there they started one and two all right then the math says 11 right yes okay 11 straight
36:12Mike Wright:wins for the favored Denver Broncos. And here we go. This should be a fun one. We said we've complimented Trevor Lawrence way too much. Agreed. Potentially.
36:27Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, I brought up his recent schedule, and while he has played outstanding, especially this last week where he was, I mean, 63 % completions for 330 yards, five passing touchdowns add a rushing touchdown was absolutely incredible his matchups against the Jets the Titans the Cardinals like his recent month has not been very difficult to go on the road to Denver they're undefeated at home this year 7-0 is a real real test and I think a lot this is one of those questionable starts where people are like how do I how do I not start him He's been so good. He scored over 40 fantasy points last week.
37:13Jason Moore:But it's a dangerous start.
37:17Mike Wright:I think I'm okay with it. Here's a crazy way of basically explaining how we have watched Denver and been confused by them despite winning all their games. They're the only team that has led in every single game that they've been in this season. They've also trailed in 13 of the 14 games. So, like, their games are up and down and all around and they find a way to finish and Bo Nix gets it done when you don't expect it sometimes. But Jacksonville, they're on a hot streak. 5-0, plus 99-point differential over the last five games. Both of these defenses, they are run stoppers, which is why there's a differing of opinion on Travis Etienne in this game between Mike and Jason.
37:59Mike Wright:There's also a very obvious desire for Mike to have Etienne struggle and Jason to have him dominate.
38:07Jason Moore:because you're facing each other and i have etn yeah um i i mean the truth is he's going to get a lot of work and so i think you're you will you're going to start him no matter what in every league he should touch the ball 20 times right you play players that touch the ball 20 times yes whether or not he gets a touchdown whether or not he is efficient that's tbd but the the volume will be
38:28Andy Holloway:there now with the the injury to bashal tootin yes i is i'm concerned like the of etn on the ground it comes and it goes i mean it's on the ground the last i mean really since the bye week it's been rough the volume is there he's getting so so so many carries no he's like 3.8 a carry
38:50Mike Wright:since the bye week and he won a good game the jets should have been a great ground game and he
38:54Andy Holloway:He only had 32 yards rushing. And then up until this past week where Etienne had the three just insane receiving touchdowns, you realize before last week, for the entirety of the season, Travis Etienne through the air averaging two receptions for 14 yards. The work through the air has not been what we're used to.
39:18Mike Wright:The tootin injury is significant for me in that regard. Could be. Especially with their, you know, they're going to have to run through the air a little bit in this game. I think ETN catches some passes. I think he's productive enough.
39:30Andy Holloway:I think he, I guess I'm playing him. So I'm not trying to warn people that, no, you got to find another option. But I feel like if ETN doesn't score a touchdown, you will be upset with the performance.
39:45Mike Wright:Well, I didn't do it, but one of my prize picks was going to be.5 touchdowns more for Travis ETN this week. Okay. That's a little risky. Do you feel more confident with Etienne or Harvey on the other side if you had both on your roster? Definitely Etienne.
39:59Jason Moore:Harvey has been so good on a per-touch basis, but he has not touched the ball enough, especially we thought that –
40:06Mike Wright:23 opportunities, 20 opportunities the last two games? That's not enough?
40:10Jason Moore:I mean – Not enough for Jason. It wasn't enough immediately. Like when the injury happened to J.K. Dobbins, I felt like it was really slow getting this player involved. But the matchup against Jacksonville, I think it's more difficult to run on Jacksonville than it is on the Broncos. I know recently, the last six weeks, the Broncos have really been good against the run. Some of that, to me, is a little bit of matchup because I don't believe that's schedule-adjusted data. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been – you throw on them. You don't run on them a lot. Now, R.J. Harvey's great in the receiving game.
40:43Andy Holloway:They're very difficult to choose between the two of them. there are two spots different in my rankings. I have ETN slightly ahead. I think though that RJ Harvey, just like my analysis of the game, Harvey's probability of a touchdown is slightly higher than ETN's if you're chasing that. But the volume, I'm more secure in ETN getting the 15 plus opportunities. And Harvey had the, he got a little bit banged up. He had the rib injury, but he's practicing in full. Just don't know if that will affect anything.
41:16Jason Moore:You know who else is practicing in full? Pat Bryant. Yeah, baby. Oh, we're back. Kind of. It really stinks for fantasy. Because you can't start Pat Bryant and now it means you can't start Troy Franklin. This is a matchup where there should be a lot of passing yards and fantasy production in the air.
41:36Mike Wright:I think it's terrible. I think you were probably feeling pretty confident to come out there and say play Sutton, play play Franklin and now you do have the inconsistency of all those players. I mean, every single receiver in Denver, despite the record, has been completely unpredictable. Yes. There have been times that we've come on this show and it looked like Troy Franklin was taking over. I mean, there were times at the end of last year Marvin Mims was taking over. There were times that Pat Bryant's snap counts up to 70, then it goes to 40 and he's out.
42:04Andy Holloway:Well, it went to 40 because he got knocked out of the game. He was knocked out in the middle of that game? Yeah. Pat Bryant had, like, up until that point, Pat Bryant had taken the wide receiver two spot because he's better than Franklin. How dare you? You know it to be true.
42:23Mike Wright:Yeah, I don't have any confidence. I'm not playing Pat Bryant.
42:26Andy Holloway:I'm not playing him.
42:28Mike Wright:I probably am not playing Franklin either. Cortland Sutton would be the one that I'd play.
42:33Andy Holloway:Pat Bryant being there is better for Bo Nix, though, to have all those guys available. The other side of the field.
42:38Mike Wright:That wide receiver. This game has a lot of players of importance.
42:42Jason Moore:I think on the other side, you can play Jacoby Myers, and you can play Brian Thomas, both of them. Brian Thomas, the big play, hopeful for a massive playoff performance. You know he's got that skill. And then Jacoby for that floor. When you're averaging, he's just very reliable. He's always where he needs to be, and he catches the ball when you throw it to him. That's not always the case with Brian Thomas Jr. But the big playability, you know, in this game, what is the over-under here? The over-under is 46.5. They're two good defenses, but the way these teams have been playing, I think this game hits the over.
43:22Jason Moore:Really?
43:23Mike Wright:Yeah. Mike, start of the week. Britton Strange. Yeah, I mean, this game is a big one. We just watched a, what, a 43.5 point over-under turn into 80 pretty quick. 70, 77, whatever it is, 75.
43:41Mike Wright:Arizona, Atlanta, not exactly a game with the same magnitude. Arizona's at home. Vegas line.
43:49Andy Holloway:48 and a half.
43:51Mike Wright:Yeah, Atlanta minus three over-under is 48 and a half.
43:54Jason Moore:The defenses are actually not traveling this week with the teams. So they're going to be playing 11 on none and see if they can break the all-time record. so we're excited i think we are excited for fantasy purposes um the way that these two defenses have been playing lately and it's funny because both of these teams early in the year looked like man they've they're figuring out the defense like their defense is hard to run on hard to pass on and then i think it was a combination of injuries along with losses that have really just kind of folded the defenses folded the teams folded the morale these two teams what are they playing for they're they're both playing for a higher pick i mean not the falcons i don't believe
44:37Andy Holloway:they have their pick well they're they're first they're first you still want your other picks to
44:41Jason Moore:be sure but you know the cardinals really need to lose this game which is why well no gannon doesn't
44:48Mike Wright:ironclad there's one man i mean jonathan gannon's playing for a chance to coach again next there's
44:53Jason Moore:no way the cardinals lose this game just because it would be the worst thing for them i know the falcons are favored and the falcons should win the falcons are the better team but um that's
45:01Andy Holloway:You realize on a podcast out there somewhere, there is people saying the exact opposite. They're saying that there's no way the Falcons don't win this game because it's the worst thing that could possibly happen to them.
45:12Jason Moore:Yeah, these are two franchises that love misery. They really are good at it. Let's tie this game. Oh, that'd be fun. But for fantasy purposes, a ton of value. Obviously, Bijan is going to be in. Brissette should definitely be in. has not not been a top 12 quarterback the entire season and um i don't know how you can sit michael wilson andy your start of the week he's been way dang too good even if marv is there if marv is
45:44Mike Wright:there i think you can play him yeah you you can definitely play michael wilson high over under play trey mcbride play kyle pitts if he's active yes even if jake london's back i think you're playing doing that play drake london if he's back i mean probably probably i mean i would i think the drake london if he's back from the injury versus michael wilson question is interesting
46:04Jason Moore:that one is very interesting so if if marv is out michael wilson is started period even over drake london if marvin harrison is there i would start drake london over over wilson we also have
46:15Mike Wright:had a we had the debate very early in the week about whether demarcato or michael carter is the better start the press conference comments from jonathan gannon about michael carter leading the way have probably swayed me over to mike's side of michael carter's probably the better start i think he's in this one we find start yeah i just wouldn't be shocked if demarcata ruins that for you somehow with a big long yeah which is run um but but i i'm with mike i'd go michael carter if you need an emergency start and then bijon of course play him we'll take a break and talk more matchups.

And that on-the-go part, that is important. With America's Best Network, you'll be connected to the latest news and player projections. So when you're on the clock, you can draft a winning team. I can think of so many situations where that element of being connected while you're on the go is fundamental to fantasy football success. I'm in the midst of multiple leagues right now where I am responding to trade offers. We are massaging the trade offer.
48:09Mike Wright:We want to make sure that I'm the one that gets the player, not another player manager in our league. So trade offers, when you're on the go, all the news that's breaking so you don't make a mistake. And my favorite thing, maybe I'll mention it. 49:13Andy Holloway:seen participating in practice on friday that's big
49:19Mike Wright:that's big i hope that's a full not a limited well i just it's an effort to be out there
49:27Andy Holloway:yeah so if you're if you're planning on a texans running back that you've got to take that thing up to Sunday.
49:34Jason Moore:It's an ankle injury. So if he's out there participating in practice with an ankle injury you would expect they'll know how it responds tomorrow. And if it goes well if he practices limited it doesn't swell up and it's better. He has a legit chance.
49:50Mike Wright:Has he been knocked out of the last two games? Like actually had to leave the last two games he's played? Last week he did.
49:56Jason Moore:He did in the one before but he came back. He does this quite a lot. He's a waddler.
50:03Andy Holloway:In that game two weeks ago, it was 87 % of the snaps. So he still played.
50:07Mike Wright:He had to come back. But I'm just saying he's been knocked out hurt, so it's a risk.
50:11Andy Holloway:Oh, yes. It is definitely a risk, and it's a risk I would personally take.
50:16Mike Wright:Pittsburgh's 8-6. Detroit's 8-6. Vegas line, Detroit minus 7 over under 51.5. If Pittsburgh, who is the fourth seed in the AFC, wins the game, they have a 77 % chance to win the division. If Detroit, currently the eighth seed in the NFC, wins, they have a 46 % chance to make the playoffs. A loss pretty much eliminates Detroit from the playoffs. They'll be down at like 14%. They'll need so much help to get in. It's a huge game. It's in Detroit. They're heavily favored. 51.5 point over under.
50:46Jason Moore:It started at 49.5. The people think this game is going to be an offensive onslaught.
50:54Mike Wright:And you look at your start-sit decisions right now. Jared Goff, we know how he plays in a dome. You have no TJ Watt on the pass rushing side. Amon Ra and Jamison Williams have been too good to sit. Jameer Gibbs, of course, you're playing him.
51:11Andy Holloway:This was the three-touchdown week, right?
51:15Mike Wright:If you want to go, like, when did Gibbs do that?
51:17Jason Moore:Well, the back and forth. He's been scoring three touchdowns, no touchdowns, three touchdowns, no touchdowns, three touchdowns, no touchdowns, and here we are. You're right.
51:25Mike Wright:This happened three times.
51:26Jason Moore:It's insane.
51:28Mike Wright:Yeah, and you play Gibbs. You hopefully didn't need a huge game from him last week and you made it through. David Montgomery is a real break glass type of player, not a must start at all.
51:40Jason Moore:I saw Dan Campbell talking about David Montgomery and his new role. And that David Montgomery is a pro and he is, you know, basically he was talking up David Montgomery as a true professional in the sense that he's. He spent dealing with this week saying, I got to get Montgomery.
51:59Andy Holloway:I don't care what he says about Montgomery.
52:02Jason Moore:But the thing is, you're at home, you're favored by a touchdown. Montgomery is also, in his own right, a touchdown machine. So can you start David Montgomery? Do you want to start David Montgomery?
52:12Mike Wright:No.
52:13Jason Moore:Can I give you a couple start-sit decisions to see if you would start David Montgomery? Hold on.
52:17Mike Wright:www.jasonsroster.com slash my lineup.
52:22Jason Moore:David Montgomery or Tony Pollard, who's been hot playing against the Chiefs. David Montgomery. Pollard. Okay. Easily. Not for me. All right. David Monk.
52:30Mike Wright:Why would you sit Pollard after he's been on fire and they're giving him the match work? I'm just curious. Because. Like Montgomery is just, if you score, you're happy.
52:37Andy Holloway:You are, but I think that the Kansas City defense is going to stop the Titans offense dead in their tracks.
52:45Jason Moore:What about the other side? Kareem Hunt for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Titans or David Montgomery?
52:50Mike Wright:I'll play Montgomery in that situation. Yeah, I'm going to go Montgomery.
52:54Jason Moore:And then final name, Audrick Estime or David Montgomery.
52:58Mike Wright:Yeah, okay, now we're at the website. Yeah, it's estimate. Okay. It's estimate unless you're a heavy, heavy favorite, and you just need six points because Monty can get you six. But the Lions have the highest implied point total of the week. I think they're going to just demolish Pittsburgh. Demolish them.
53:18Andy Holloway:Yeah, but that's the argument for Montgomery.
53:21Mike Wright:Did you see with T.J. Watt off the field for Pittsburgh, their 31st in completion percentage given up and 32nd in yards per pass attempt allowed? Sheesh. and you get to go up against basically two top ten wide receivers right now. Jamison Williams is on fire. He's got four top ten finishes since the bye week. And then Amon Ra.
53:39Jason Moore:This is also why I really like DK Metcalf this week. Everything you just said, you expect the Lions to score. You expect them to be in the lead. Have you seen how many points the Lions are giving up to wide receivers right now?
53:50Mike Wright:Yeah. 38 a game.
53:52Jason Moore:They have not done well against the pass. So you're going to need DK Metcalf. If you can target him enough, you'll succeed against this Lions defense.
54:02Mike Wright:Kenneth Gainwell, Jalen Warren. Kenneth Gainwell is literally the singular toughest type of player for me to ever start in a game.
54:10Andy Holloway:Understandable.
54:11Mike Wright:He feels a little bit like the old school Darren Sproles where, you know, he was never the starter for New Orleans. But he just kind of always had points. And you're like, well, how's he going to do it? I don't know. He just does. He's been double digits 26, 15, 5, 13, 16. It doesn't make sense to me.
54:31Jason Moore:The targets. I mean, you look. Who has more targets in the last five weeks for this same team? I genuinely don't know the answer. DK Metcalf or Kenny Gainwell? In how many weeks? In the last five weeks. I would say Kenny Gainwell. Because DK just had that monster target week two weeks ago. Gainwell has the most receptions.
54:48Mike Wright:31 targets in the last five weeks for Gainwell. Yes. And he has more receptions than any player on the team. I mean, when you're that involved. He just had 20 opportunities with Warren active. Now that's an offense.
54:58Jason Moore:Well, Warren did have the illness. Some of these games, Warren has been coming back from injury and played fewer snaps. Is illness and played fewer snaps.
55:06Mike Wright:Warren or Gainwell?
55:07Andy Holloway:Who do you play? That's a great question. I think it's Gainwell. I think it's Gainwell. I've got Warren on my roster, so I am incentivized. I want Warren to do well. But even with all those things, he's coming back sick. Kenny Gainwell has been the better player watching the Steelers games.
55:26Jason Moore:He's looked really good. I have them back-to-back in my rankings. Kenny Gainwell one spot ahead of Jalen Warren.
55:33Mike Wright:Wild. Wild one. I think that's it by start-sit decisions in that game. The Raiders, 2-12. Guys, you're not going to believe this. You're not going to believe this. They play Houston. That part you can believe because teams play other teams sometimes. Houston's 9-5. the implied point total for the Las Vegas Raiders. It's unbelievable. I've never seen this. It's the second lowest of any team since 2013. It is the lowest of the year of any team. It is 11.5 points.
56:04Jason Moore:And how in the world do they get 11.5 points?
56:07Andy Holloway:This was when we had the Ashton Gentry question yesterday. This is why? Ashton Gentry is not a must play this week. Not to me.
56:17Mike Wright:Ashton Gentry or Audrick Estimates? I don't think he's a must play by any stretch. I think it's just those decisions and how much do you attach to his name and don't overemphasize.
56:30Jason Moore:Yeah, it's funny. So all these players we just talked about, so let me tell you where my rankings come in. I have Michael Carter ahead of Ashen Gentry, Ashen Gentry ahead of Audrick Estame, who is just ahead of Kenny Gainwell. But that's the tier that you're talking about.
56:45Andy Holloway:Yeah, it's like Tyrone Tracy, Aaron Jones, Rico. I've got both of those. I'm playing all those guys ahead of Ashton Gentry.
56:54Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, he is obviously the talented player that could break off a long run. He could. Hopefully, you get him involved in the passing game. We've seen games where he is really involved in the receiving game, and then he disappears. What are you laughing at? He caught four passes last week, guys.
57:11Andy Holloway:Was it for zero? No, he got seven yards. Oh, okay. He caught two passes last week for eight yards. Yeah. I mean, there's... Okay. All right. The team is so catastrophically bad that you can name whoever you think is the best running back in the league, and you put them in this environment, and they are pretty much unstartable for fantasy right now.
57:40Mike Wright:Yeah. Yeah, this is not good. No. They've lost eight straight games. Texans have won six straight. It's a big game for Houston.
57:48Jason Moore:Yeah, I do think even in this badminton.
57:50Mike Wright:Is he playable in this game?
57:53Jason Moore:Stroud is scary, a little bit scary to me because this could be a game. Stroud or Stafford? Stafford, for sure. Really? Yeah.
58:00Andy Holloway:It's the same thing as last week where you knew Houston was going to beat the crap out of Arizona. CJ Stroud was still good for fantasy.
58:06Jason Moore:That's because the touchdowns came early, the Nico Baum touchdown. And, you know, obviously if he starts, CJ Stroud can do what he wants against the Raiders. If they want to run the ball, they'll succeed. It's just a matter of once you're up by two scores, you're not forced to continue throwing the ball. I think Brock Bowers, we brought it up yesterday, he's still a very good play. All the bad things about the Raiders, you're still going to have to throw the ball. And when you look at the Texans' defense, they're not bad against anything. think they're good across the board but they are weakest against tight ends which is the strength of the Raiders so Bowers you'll start and that's that's really a genti you can on the other side
58:46Mike Wright:Nico yes Mike has the Houston running back spot yeah I hope it's Woody and then we talked about Stroud otherwise Dalton Schultz not a bad play correct he is uh he's the doctor but if they get it done on the ground they may not need to utilize and we saw Nico Collins last week as an example He was great against Arizona, but it was not via volume. It was one catch to start the game, no catches for a long, long, long, long, long time, and then at the very, very end of the game, he got back into the end zone. So just be mindful of that from a volume standpoint. If they don't get the early points through the air, you may not get a lot late.
59:20Andy Holloway:Yeah, I can agree with that. And Nico's in, but I'm not like Jaden Higgins. He played 72 % of the snaps. He was a victim of the game script with just one catch for four yards.
59:36Mike Wright:Excited about this one. New England 11-3 on Sunday Night Football against the 7-7 Baltimore Ravens on semifinal week. Baltimore minus three over under 48.5. Okay.
59:47Jason Moore:Yeah, this will be a fun one.
59:49Mike Wright:This feels like just such a humongous game for Baltimore, but also New England coming off a loss. It should be a fun one. Are you confident in both quarterbacks in this game?
1:00:00Jason Moore:Yes. yeah yeah I am I I know Lamar has really struggled this season but he's still Lamar Jackson and you know the the last game it was such a weird game against the Bengals right it was bizarrely weird where he completes eight passes in the game and they went 24 to nothing they just didn't need him uh the Bengals didn't show up like Joe Burrow said he was if if any other NFL team played him they would not have been able to win the game with how he played he had a very down game and so lamar wasn't needed i expect the patriots to show up to score to put it on the baltimore ravens and this should be a back and forth affair so i want pieces in this one man drake may was
1:00:48Andy Holloway:qb 13 with 20 and a half points he's dead some some high scoring quarterbacks he hasn't he's
1:00:54Mike Wright:been good not great from a fantasy perspective yeah quarterback 11 12 12 10 13 those are
1:01:00Jason Moore:not bad performances but those aren't like oh i won my playoffs because i have drake may
1:01:04Mike Wright:yep exactly touchdowns the last four weeks one one two zero so he didn't have the two rushing touchdowns the way that baltimore is playing defensively at home i do feel like may has more risk to me than lamar in this game and that's how i have him ranked this week
1:01:21Andy Holloway:so let's like i played jacoby yeah over may yeah how about stroud i don't think so i think i'd look for a little bit of a little Drake May upside in that one. And then how about Herbert?
1:01:36Jason Moore:Jason? I think I'd go Herbert against Dallas. I'm hopeful that, you know, that he can throw some touchdowns against that defense that loves to have touchdowns thrown on them. J.J. McCarthy just was fine.
1:01:50Mike Wright:Jacoby Brissett, Lamar Jackson, the number four search on our website on the Start Set Tool, which you can get to, thefantasyfootballers.com if you have more questions. Zay Flowers, the last two weeks, has been pretty good. Wide receiver 8-18 despite the low passing attempts last week. I think Zay Flowers at home is not bad. It's wide receiver 2 probably this week, don't you think? Yeah. Wide receiver 2-3. That's fair. Travo, Derek Henry, you play them both?
1:02:14Andy Holloway:Yep.
1:02:16Mike Wright:Four touchdown runs of 50 or more yards from Travion Henderson, who Mike would like you to know is currently the betting favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Oh, that's weird. That's weird. I half expect you to pull out a cup of tea. There you go. You can go ahead and – oh, you got to get pinky up, don't you? There it is. Oh, boy. Yeah, I mean, Chavion. Imagine if his coach let him play more. Impossible. You messing with tight ends here, Henry?
1:02:46Jason Moore:Likely? Andrews? Not really, no. I mean, Mark Andrews would be the one of the three that I would play just from a you-get-a-touchdown standpoint. point but i'm not excited touched and we we've we've talked about there are a handful of really good stream type of options to play at tight end this week so i would be out on all of them i think the real question is the patriots wide receivers someone's gonna get it done um you know booty why don't you just tell us who it is i mean i i still think i still you were going to say You're going back to Diggs?
1:03:20Mike Wright:And then you're like, well, maybe I don't want to say that name. I mean, Diggs has been atrocious.
1:03:25Jason Moore:Diggs has been 20 yards, 26 yards, 26 yards. I still like Booty. You like Diggs. Mike, do you want to take somebody else? I like Booty as well.
1:03:31Mike Wright:Matt Collins. Thank you. I was going to make it the worst. It could be kind of the – it feels a little bit like Denver right now. Yeah. I mean, they keep winning games and you don't.
1:03:41Jason Moore:At least Denver has Sutton.
1:03:43Mike Wright:Here it's like you just have no idea. As from Sutton you are starting. Yeah. Monday Night Football, a Rivers runs through it. San Francisco 10-4, Colts 8-6. Vegas line, San Francisco minus 5.5.
1:03:54Jason Moore:River trickles through it. This is not going to be a fast-running river. This is a little stream.
1:04:01Mike Wright:Don't drink that water. No. It's Pea River. Over-under is 46.5. Okay, they give the Colts 20 points. That seems nice of them. They are at home.
1:04:14Jason Moore:They do have Jonathan Taylor. The Colts are at home. they got keep in mind that Philip Rivers had a few days of practice with the team right there that so they had a game plan that looked like it was completely and entirely physically limited by Rivers ability and that could be the case but it could also be the case it's like we're playing against a very good Seahawks defense on the road and you've been here to practice for four days so we're going to run the ball a ton and just do little check downs and see if we can win the the game with defense. So maybe this is like we're going to open it up a little bit.
1:04:52Jason Moore:The Niners are not a bad defense, but they're not nearly the defense that the Seahawks were.
1:04:57Mike Wright:I think that's right on the money. You could get surprised with a little more utilization, a few more downfield passes. Tyler Warren is who everybody is worried about. We can tell you Kyle made the Warren not Parkinson decision. He went with his gut on Warren. He did lead the team in targets last week. Another week of practice, this is the positive spin for the situation. But thinking Phillip can throw it down the field and him being able to throw it down the field are two different things. The lack of a pass rush for San Francisco will be super helpful to Phillip Rivers. Last week it did feel like part of it was self-preservation.
1:05:37Mike Wright:It wasn't just ability. It was also like, let's just get the ball out of your hand immediately so that you don't have to fall down.
1:05:44Jason Moore:San Francisco's 31st in pressure rate, 32nd in sack rate, and did not get a sack on Cam Ward last week. That is what Phillip Rivers very much needs.
1:05:54Mike Wright:Now, it does feel like there's one wide receiver to play in the entire matchup, which is Juwan Jennings. Oh, yeah. And then it's probably no Pierce on, no Pittman, no Pierce. If your name starts with P and you play wide receiver, take a seat. Josh Downs also didn't practice. It looks like it's a personal thing. Alec Pierce didn't practice. Did he have a child? A personal problem, as we call them. Yeah. Yesterday on the footcast, somebody wrote in, and they're like, I had my first personal problem this week. How do you deal with fantasy football and being a new dad? And I was like, oh, my gosh.
1:06:25Mike Wright:I like that joke so much. So do you guys agree, though, you're not taking a shot with the other wideouts other than Juwan Jennings?
1:06:31Jason Moore:I don't think so, no. Certainly not Alec Pierce. He's, like, toast. If you had to start someone else, it would probably be Pittman in hopes that it gets a little bit better. But no, I'm not wanting to start Pittman. I've got him benched in our League of Record matchup. He's not really in strong consideration. I've been deciding between David Montgomery or Audrick Estame, but that's in a flex. It could be Pittman as well, and it's just hard to say I'm going to rely on what we saw from Phillip Rivers last week. Yeah, I'll let that happen on my bench.
1:07:10Andy Holloway:It's like, what? I just don't feel like you're going to miss out on anything. When you take chances with higher flying players like Stafford, that sucks. We missed it. But this offense with Phillip Rivers, could anyone actually hit a ceiling? I don't see that happening.
1:07:31Mike Wright:Your locks of the game, CMC, Jonathan Taylor, and George Kittle, of course. And some injury updates as we close out the – Jason is convulsing. He doesn't even know what we're going to say.
1:07:42Jason Moore:No, I was looking at Jonathan Taylor. Just dreaming. Like you was looking at his name? Saying a silent little prayer, dude. Saying a silent little – I'm just saying, like, look, the last four weeks have been rough for Johnny Taylor, and he's not been bad. He's, you know, double-digit points every week because he's Jonathan Taylor. But it's been Kansas City and Houston and Jacksonville and Seattle, four of the best rush defenses.
1:08:03Mike Wright:Uh-huh. Okay. Come on. All right. Come on. T. Higgins practicing today Dalton Kincaid practicing today Not sure he's playing or not Gannon confirmed Michael Carter's the starter And Aaron Glenn announced that Garrett Wilson will not play the rest of the season
1:08:22Jason Moore:Due to not wanting to play for the rest of the season
1:08:26Mike Wright:He's out with I don't wanna Fair enough We do have another segment It's so fun, I love it It's my favorite segment of the world.
1:08:40Jason Moore:Fantasy Face-Off, presented by PrizePix.
1:08:47Jason Moore:I love this segment.
1:08:49Mike Wright:I am on a cold streak.
1:08:51Jason Moore:It happens.
1:08:52Mike Wright:I felt so good when the year started. I felt like I'd never get shamed, and now it's sponsored by me. All right. Let's do it.
1:09:02Andy Holloway:We've got to spin that wheel, baby.
1:09:06Mike Wright:Wheel of Shame
1:09:14Mike Wright:Oink, oink Starman, spin it Spin the wheel Oh, I can't wait, guys Merry Christmas, everybody You smell that?
1:09:24Andy Holloway:Sniff a fart Be present We want you to be present, Andy
1:09:30Jason Moore:It's Christmas time, Andy Look at you We're going to wrap you up. We're going to wrap you up. You're going to become a present.
1:09:37Mike Wright:Are you recommending that? I'm going to be mummified here. You're recommending that maybe I keep my.
1:09:42Jason Moore:Yeah, I would keep your lineup on your screen. Because I don't know if your hands or your arms will work. Just use the chair, too. I mean, go ahead. Wrap them up. Just take your time, Josh. Go as slow as you can. Yeah, just do one arm for an hour. Yeah, this is. They're going to be doing this for a while. You guys can go ahead and start. Okay. All right. I'll start it off.
1:09:58Andy Holloway:Wrap me up. I'm going to kick it off. at the quarterback position, it's Jacoby Brissett. His projection's at 243 and a half yards. Where do you think I'm gonna go, guys? I think you're going more.
1:10:11Jason Moore:That feels easy.
1:10:13Mike Wright:Yeah, we're going more. I like that they're focused on the arm that's off camera. But go on. Keep going.
1:10:17Jason Moore:Keep rapping. Keep rapping, boy. Get that face. Get the face. Not the microphone. You freaking psycho. Oh my gosh, this is great. You are the worst producers Oh we've got a rag tag crew Tape him up Oh man
1:10:34Mike Wright:I feel like I could have wrapped myself better than this It's going great My quarterback is Caleb Williams Okay you're in on it He is my Green Goblin Passing yards 174.1 Wasn't super sure had to go Green Goblin Huh
1:10:49Jason Moore:I'm taking the 174 I am taking
1:10:52Andy Holloway:This is working out great
1:10:54Jason Moore:I am taking Caleb Williams I had fun with this one because we're going to be – Because we are at the Christmas party while this game is going, I picked only this game for fun. I'm going Caleb Williams as well, but I'm taking his rushing yards. His projection is 16.5 rushing yards. I'm going more than that. He can do more than that on one play.
1:11:16Andy Holloway:All right, you want to go to running back? Yeah. Tony Pollard, 51.5 rushing yards, less. Oh, this will be great.
1:11:24Mike Wright:Pollard's going to stick it up your butt. um audric estimate oh yeah baby 28.5 rushing yards i'm taking the more okay oh man that's
1:11:34Jason Moore:wish i had seen that i know that's that you got in early uh my running back is of course josh jacobs i can't believe you haven't gone to my solo cam yet uh josh well they've been wrapping you they're the ones that change the camera and they decide to take the rest of the There it is. Like present the hut. That's present the hut. Totally. Oh, oh, oh, oh. It's so low. Josh Jacobs' projection is 62 and a half rushing yards. Oh, where are we going, Jason? You know I'm going more, baby. 162.
1:12:11Andy Holloway:Who is your backup running back when Jacobs doesn't play?
1:12:13Jason Moore:I'll figure it out if he doesn't travel.
1:12:16Andy Holloway:All right. Oh, Andy had asked me. All right. At wide receiver, I got Michael Evans, 56 and a half, receiving yards against Carolina. I'll take the Moore.
1:12:25Jason Moore:I did this one a little bit earlier in the week. I don't know what DJ Moore was at, but I probably would have gone there. Instead, I went Jaden Reed. Guys, I did it again. Oh, you don't have hands. I sent this to every one of our production teams. Oh, my gosh. Two days ago. Where is the quality control here? I'll tell you what. Where is the self-accountability here? I'll tell you what. Since you are on a cold streak. I'm good. I'm good.
1:12:48Mike Wright:I'm good. lineup so i'm good all right i just can't access it due to being wrapped as a present having no
1:12:54Jason Moore:arms jaden reed 35 and a half receiving yards i'll take them i don't know i'm good i got this give me two seconds here um no i don't it's in my it's in my phone hold on he's trying to reach
1:13:09Mike Wright:his phone it's in my phone oh i can't move this is the worst time for me to be wrong again I went one week and everybody stopped checking my lineup what do you mean Al can read them for Andy I'm wrong Brooksy there's nothing to read hold on I'm almost there Jamar Chase 86.5 receiving yards I'm taking more
1:13:34Jason Moore:sorry about that
1:13:36Mike Wright:we love to hear it also very warm in this present
1:13:39Andy Holloway:love to hear it Dallas got air he is my green goblin two and a half receptions.
1:13:46Mike Wright:You know, he's my pick as well. He's not my Green Goblin, but I have Dallas Goddard. More, by the way. 40.5 receiving yards more.
1:13:52Jason Moore:Alright. I've got Colson Loveland, also my Green Goblin. Mr. Loveland? Mr. Loveland. More than three and a half receptions. Oh, that's easy peasy. He gets four every week. That's so easy.
1:14:06Mike Wright:Considering I can't access.
