- At TE, Harold Fannin Jr. and Juwan Johnson are top waiver targets; Isaiah Likely is also mentioned.
Notable examples

1:16Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
1:34Mike Wright:Welcome in.
1:45Mike Wright:The Fantasy Footballers Podcast. Tuesday, September 9th. Welcome into the show. Right before the show began, Jason had taken a sip of what he called very gross coffee. It was very bitter and not good. And then as the show intro is playing, you took another set. And here you go again.
2:11Andy Holloway:Oh, I'm going to finish it.
2:13Mike Wright:Okay. Okay.
2:14Andy Holloway:It's just bitter. Yeah. It's bitter like you're - Sometimes you have to do what you don't want to do. Bitter like your losses to me this week, Jason.
2:21Mike Wright:Oh, that's plural losses?
2:24Andy Holloway:Yeah, plural losses. Just the two most important things. Oh, Mike right, Mike wrong.
2:28Jason Moore:That's true. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm Mike now? You wish. No, those - You wish you were at the king. I'm going to be honest with you, Mike. this is far worse than those losses. This coffee is not good. Wow. But also in those leagues, I expected L's going in. Okay. Does that make it go down smoother? It does, unfortunately. Sometimes it's like you look at the schedule. The NFL teams, they go out and they lose to the Bills, and they go, dang, I wanted to win that, but it's the Bills. You go out and you lose to the Saints, and you're like, oh, no.
3:09Mike Wright:Kill me. I got it. We are done with week one. We had an eventually fun Monday night football game. Oh, man.
3:18Jason Moore:It turned from the worst to a great game. The whole world tweeted enough to where I think at halftime, everyone was like, okay, guys, we've got to do something.
3:29Andy Holloway:It was so bizarre watching it unfold. of J.J. McCarthy at the beginning. The Vikings versus the Bears, that's what we're talking about. McCarthy at the beginning seemed... Frazzled. Seemed very nervous, which, I mean, the energy of that stadium and the Chicago Bears at the beginning was like, I felt, I could feel it radiating off of the television screen. Like, they were hyped. And for, so like, it took a while for McCarthy. And Caleb Williams starts... Nine for nine. fire and yet i'm watching going i don't think he's playing that well i mean but it's like to say that out loud it sounds real stupid you he's literally completing 100 of his passes but you're just he is and he's looking so athletic the eventually you had the uh the freaking laser cannon down the like as he rolled out an unbelievable arm i mean there were there were
4:26Mike Wright:throws and plays in the game that were elite yes but it has been sort of his story to intermix that with mistakes and looking incompetent and i thought he got to 10 of 10
4:39Andy Holloway:he did i think he got oh really and then he finished 21 of 35 i had a uh we had like a group
4:45Jason Moore:that was all doing the same kind of prize picks uh lineup and one of i i took the less on 65 completion percentage for Caleb Williams. He comes out 10 of 10, and I'm like, well, I lost that one.
4:59Mike Wright:Did you end up winning that?
4:59Jason Moore:Yeah. Oh, yeah. He finished at 60%. And if you start 10 for 10, you've got a big lead. The rest of the way, he – It was wild.
5:08Mike Wright:It kind of felt like the scripted start to the game went really well for Caleb. And then, you know, it's hard. You don't want to make, you know, season-long conclusions from a game in which you're facing probably you know one of the best defenses in football in Minnesota um Caleb like I said he made plays but not enough and the team you know eventually J.J. McCarthy got it going and figured it out and I tweeted about this last night like one of the reasons I love Kevin O 'Connell so much is because I think almost any other coach would they do not win that game because what they do is they start to try to manage jj mccarthy in such a fashion that a comeback is almost impossible because you start to go all short area targets and screen game and let's protect jj because the the young quarterback is on the road and he looks frazzled he threw a pick six after the pick six let's just manage him and do inside handoffs and let's run the ball a bunch which they did they run it they ran it successfully to help get the play action going but kevin o 'connell like he just doesn't overcoach he lets his players figure things out because that was the only way they're going to win that game is let jj make some downfield throws he started completing them you know you you can't some of these coaches just they frustrate the heck out of me and kevin o 'connell
6:28Jason Moore:is just one of one it was very phil jackson-esque in the sense that yeah very zen yeah you just let him go and it was it was funny too because i remember at one point after the pick six you You saw the quarterbacks, the offensive guys kind of talking with J.J., and you look at the head coach, he's just stoic, no problem. He's not over there kind of like trying to rally him up. It was just like, let's keep pressing forward. It was an impressive game from the Vikings to overcome, in a harsh environment, such a bad start. because it was a bad start.
7:09Andy Holloway:Bad opening first half for them offensively.
7:12Mike Wright:What, 17-6, long into the third? I mean, it was an impressive comeback. It gives you a lot of hope for McCarthy. I don't know what it does for Bears fans other than make them feel the same way they've felt for a long time, which is, you know.
7:27Jason Moore:Ben Johnson's aging fast. He's going, by the end of this season. Like a presidential term? A presidential term. He is. I just watched his press conference, And it was like he is doing an outstanding job of trying to not show how upset he is. You know, it's like he's like he's talking about the like, you know, we all have things to work on, myself included. I made plenty of mistakes, you know, trying to say the right things. But you can see underneath he's like, oh, I told him to kick the ball out the back of the end zone.
8:02Andy Holloway:And just the plays that Caleb missed. I mean, there was. DJ Moore wide open. A DJ Moore touchdown, that is.
8:11Mike Wright:Can't miss that. You cannot miss that throw. Can't miss that throw. But he did, and Minnesota ends up stealing the win on the road.
8:20Andy Holloway:Jordan Mason is a dog.
8:21Mike Wright:Yeah, I mean, it was crazy because both of the running backs did a great job in this game. Jordan Mason was much better on the ground than Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones had the big touchdown catch and some blitz pickups that were impressive. Still looks like he has some juice, but they did the right thing. They went to Mason, the Mack truck, who could just, you know, he just ran with a ferocity that opened up the entire game. JJ got into the end zone, and, you know, there will be reinforcements coming for Minnesota. You know, Jordan Addison will come back after a couple of weeks, which will help things out, and it was fun to see.
8:55Mike Wright:I want to invite you before we get into the waivers today to head over to jointhefoot.com. You know, we're talking through on this episode about the order of the players and who is potentially out there. We've got more players than we will discuss on this episode in the waiver wire tool. And it will look at your league. So it's like we might talk about someone that you're like, oh, well, he's not available. We'll show you who is available.
9:42Mike Wright:Yeah. Yeah. So you can learn more about that. Get access today. Support the podcast at join the foot dot com. Let's go ahead and get into the news.
9:55Jason Moore:News and notes from around the league. Presented by Progressive Insurance.
10:03Mike Wright:Okay, we had a trade yesterday. Yeah, what? And we're still trying to confirm compensation.
10:09Andy Holloway:No, that's confirmed. Yeah, that's the official Jacksonville account. So now we're back to the original report?
10:14Mike Wright:Yep. So who was it that posted that it was a swap?
10:18Andy Holloway:I don't know, but they were incorrect.
10:20Mike Wright:So Tank Bigsby was traded after one week of barely being used by Jacksonville. It's a big trade. Jacksonville trades Tank Bigsby, who was listed as a co-starter for week one.
10:31Andy Holloway:I wonder if the usage had something to do with this of like they had already been talking about a trade. They're like, OK, well, we got to make sure he doesn't get hurt.
10:40Jason Moore:100 percent. And we got to see what we've got in ETN. That's what it feels like now. Knowing what we know is like they went into this week saying, OK, we've got a potential trade for Tank. let's go see how we would do without him so tank bigsby is now a philadelphia eagle the original
Read the full transcript
10:56Mike Wright:report said jacksonville received a fifth and sixth round pick for a while uh it was being reported that it was a fifth and sixth swap which that made more sense considering the depth chart in philadelphia now this morning as of moments ago confirmed it was a fifth and sixth round pick so So Jacksonville gets a fifth and sixth. Mike was confused from the jump.
11:19Andy Holloway:It is because you had Will Shipley, and I know he got hurt, and there was not really much reported on that. Ribs, that's all we know. Yeah, and they have A.J. Dillon on the squad. So it was very strange of just the trade overall. They're going to go get tank. Then the compensation comes out, which for us, we're like, oh, a five and a six. That's nothing. But in terms of trading players, we see good players traded for pennies. This is two picks, even though they're day three picks. And then they're like, hey, we like him as a kick returner. So this whole thing is so mind-boggling. I don't know what's going on.
12:00Mike Wright:Will Shipley got hurt in the first week. He actually had worked himself into, I think, the first or second drive, looked good on his two opportunities, and disappeared. So we'll see. um tank bigsby departing jacksonville also gives you just like pretty darn clear oh yeah like travis etn yeah in a liam cohen offense after one week of seeing what he was able to do in it i mean this i mean this is who jason believed in yep and we knew that one of these guys was
12:29Andy Holloway:potentially getting traded this offseason when the rumor started team tank massive l here if etn's going to be incredible and and bashal tootin skyrockets how ready were i was on i have been
12:43Jason Moore:waiting i'm holding my breath you have not spoken in a while waiting for tootin uh he
12:50Andy Holloway:goes from this like oh you know a day three ish he's behind two co-starters too he will be he'll be worked in he'll be used a good amount but it'll be interesting to see how much
13:02Mike Wright:will be just Travis Etienne in this offense. He had 16 carries, three targets last week. And, you know, what's he going to be? He's the number three running back after week one. Is that right?
13:14Andy Holloway:I mean, he had 143 yards.
13:16Mike Wright:Oh, 143 yards. Yeah, he had the big breakaway run.
13:19Andy Holloway:He looked excellent, and Carolina continues to look terrible on rush defense.
13:24Mike Wright:Every 49er seems to be hurt.
13:28Andy Holloway:We got some good news. It's still injured news.
13:33Jason Moore:It's good within the realm of you're still injured.
13:37Mike Wright:I love the tweet from Benjamin Solak. I'll give him a shout out. He said, update out of San Francisco. Nobody has any legs or hands or internal organs or skin. They'll be reevaluated later in the week. Brock Purdy injured with a left shoulder. He injured his left shoulder and a toe. Just throwing that in.
13:53Jason Moore:They said the toe was the bigger concern.
13:55Andy Holloway:He's now uncertain. We have solved this problem.
13:58Jason Moore:Chop it.
13:59Andy Holloway:pop that thing off man i forgot about your malik neighbors advice are you a dog or not you want to play not a rock brock's a dog okay he'll pop that say bye bye to that toe he's not
14:10Mike Wright:even going to the doctor you really don't know how important your toes are um george kittle
14:15Jason Moore:how terrible that would be this one is oh jason doing his uh yearly my guy gets hurt in week one routine it was week two last year for pacheco thank you very much he got two solid pretty proud
14:26Mike Wright:of that yeah um george kittle now expected to miss a few weeks because of the hamstring injury
14:31Jason Moore:and it might be ir um yeah i bet it is i heard even five or six weeks so it will be can i get seven it will be very very telling as to whether they put him on ir before this week's game i mean that that will will know whether they hope to have him back earlier than that five and six week timeline but that is brutal he was dominating and is so important to this depleted offense when
14:58Andy Holloway:he was gone when he went to the side and immediately had a hat on i know it was oh he is hurt hurt
15:07Mike Wright:yeah i juan jennings i guess was the news you said is positive he did get hurt he just avoided serious injury so you know the mri didn't show extensive damage he could suit up in week two i i mean there's not a world where i'm feeling comfortable playing joan jennings right now
15:22Andy Holloway:anyways so no no no i mean he didn't do much in week one and now he's hurt and might not play and if we get mac jones i mean well and they and they signed kendrick born we should report that as well yeah kendrick born two for 16 in week one jennings of does mac jones come in and throw Ricky Pierce all the ball 12 times? Do we get the Brian Thomas treatment?
15:48Mike Wright:And then Demarcus Robinson will probably matter at some point. He's only out two more games from his suspension. Kevin Stefanski said we'll see when asked if Quinchon Judkins would play in week two. So we're waiting on that. And then Brian Dable, he confirmed Russell Wilson will start in week two. It was reported catapult this man into the ocean. It was reported that he had gone to management about asking to have Jackson a dart start. So, the head coach who makes the... Oh, no. You don't know. No? Come on.
16:24Jason Moore:They make the decision for sure. Wink!
16:28Andy Holloway:Yeah, I thought the arrangement is the general manager gives you the players.
16:32Mike Wright:You think Dayball paid Daniel Jones?
16:34Andy Holloway:No, the management decides what players are on the team. The coach decides what players are on the field. Oh, I think this was above the
16:43Jason Moore:was this not him going to the ownership? Yeah, it was him going to ownership. This is not general manager. Then put Jamison. I agree. That's what I would do. I was telling Mike. Not Russell. Team not Russell. The problem that they have is they wanted to show their support of Jackson Dart before the season. And so in order to show how good he did, they said, you know what? You're elevated to number two on the depth chart. And so now he's the backup. but it's like well we can't go to him yet this early but you can't have russ out there and now you know you screwed yourself because what you should do is go to jamis so this is one example
17:21Mike Wright:of why malik neighbor's situation was less appealing than a lot of other top tier wide receivers is i mean are we going to see all three guys at some point because it feels that way and there's none you know jamis would be jamis would be great it's just jamis would be great but jackson
17:39Andy Holloway:dart is not a guarantee to be great for Malik neighbors it's so wild to me if those reports are true because it's just the grapevine of that the your head coach is is coming to you saying we can't play this guy anymore we need somebody else and they're like nope you need you just need to keep playing and be like and then and then you're just gonna fire me because you wouldn't let me put the guy out yes thank you I mean if if I'm Brian Dable there's a there's a power outage while Russ is in the elevator this weekend. Nice. It's not falling, people. It's just stuck. No, no.
18:14Mike Wright:There's nothing wrong with that.
18:16Andy Holloway:He's going to be there for a few hours.
18:19Jason Moore:Battery backups were cut. Leave a couple bottles of water in there. Oh, for sure. There just happened to be a Costco. Oh, there'll be some snacks. There's a bucket. They left a bucket in there. They are thoughtful. Oh, because you can. If he's got a. It's a humane. I mean, it is Russ.
18:34Andy Holloway:It's a humane trapping.
18:36Jason Moore:Diarrhea. You know?
18:38Mike Wright:Speaking of diarrhea, did you see, I mean, I don't know if it comforts you, Jason, the diarrhea of Kyler Murray, but he was up at 4.30 in the morning with, like, throwing up and diarrhea.
18:49Jason Moore:That does comfort me. I genuinely, genuinely, my only hope as a Cardinals fan is that he was horrifically ill because.
18:58Andy Holloway:If he's up at 4 a.m.
19:00Jason Moore:That's what I mean. Both ending. Both ending. He was 25 fantasy points.
19:07Mike Wright:21 for 29 and seven rushing attempts.
19:13Andy Holloway:It didn't look great.
19:14Jason Moore:Yeah. Still played bad if you watched. We are his worst critic. We are his worst critic. At this point, we're burnt out. Do you think ownership is just basically saying with the Jackson dart, like he is not allowed to start until Andrew Thomas is back? Yes. Yes, absolutely.
19:28Mike Wright:I wouldn't start him without an offensive line.
19:30Andy Holloway:No. Just give the team a chance. Put Jameis out there.
19:34Mike Wright:All right. that was news and notes sponsored by progressive insurance quote today at progressive.com progressive casualty insurance company affiliates and third-party insurers not available in all states or situations coverage subject to policy terms limits and conditions we'll take a break and then it's into the waiver wire
19:52Mike Wright:what's up foot clan listen i have been in the tech space for more than 20 years i have registered literally probably hundreds to maybe over a thousand domains in my life including a ton of domains for like fantasy leagues and specialty things like our League of Record. And it always feels good to make it official. Wix domains, they make it ridiculously easy to purchase a domain today. And my favorite part is that you can grab a custom domain in minutes and not endure a 12-step funnel or all of the random add-ons making it hard to understand what you're even buying and what you actually wanted.
20:27Mike Wright:And because it's Wix, once you've got the domain, the website is one prompt away. We have leaks for our league of record, things all over the office. You hear us registering domains for giveaways and things like that. It's super fast on Wix domains, domain, website, business email, everything you need to run your league or business in one place, no extra platforms, no confusing setup, no separate logins. Claim your domain at wix.com slash domains. That's wix.com slash domains. What's up, Foot Clan? You are confident and disciplined and focused on details, just like everyone here at the Fancy Footballers, right?
21:02Mike Wright:Those are words you've used to describe us. In other words, you were made to drive the 2026 Sierra 1500 Denali, a full-size pickup combining capability with elevated design and advanced technology. You can seek out the exceptional with the Denali, their standard 5.3 liter V8 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. It's got a bold design. We like bold designs. They got the signature Denali grill, Papa Josh, you know, the signature grill, the chrome header, patterned aluminum trim. Inside, you've got all that comfort. You know, Jason's a comfort guy. We like the comfort. Comfort reigns with leather seating surfaces and 12-way power front seats with power lumbar.
21:48Mike Wright:You can learn more right now at gmc.com slash Sierra 1500.
21:57Mike Wright:all right it is week one it is time to find some options on the waiver wire the waiver wire presented by walmart all right well um i'm curious before we get into the names we're starting at running back we'll go to wide receiver uh tight end and we'll get into our streams of the week at quarterback, but I would love to know just how you look at the waiver wire in week one, right? Because we don't want to overreact to player performances. Very, very, very frequently you have week one performances that they're great. They disappear. They fade into nothingness. You don't want to waste all your fab or your waiver priority.
22:38Mike Wright:You do want to pick up players you think have a long-term future, but how do you, like you have a lot of leagues. How are you
22:44Jason Moore:thinking about it yeah week one and week two waivers are exceptionally important we did a study looking at the quality of waiver pickups not just how many total fantasy points that they have scored on the course of the season because obviously if you get them early you get more more weeks but actually how many points per game do the waiver wire pickups score per game in different weeks and the first two week pickups are worth so much more than the rest of the season yes there will be someone in week four, eight, whatever, who gets thrust into a starting running back position because of an injury ahead of him.
23:17Jason Moore:This week one, we literally had almost no running back injuries. I mean, there was very little, a little stinger to Jonathan Taylor's neck. I mean, backups got hurt, but this was a very healthy week one, knock on wood. that being said this is where you see the emergence of certain players um whether it's snap percentage or just quality of of how they've leveled up and so I think you want to go hard in week one I will say that in 2025 this season the running back pickups I feel like there's four decent options but there's not there's not a Kyron Williams sitting out there um there's not one of these great like oh you got to go spend a lot on this player necessarily so what what are those
24:05Mike Wright:four names because I mean Judkins is on the list but he's rostered in 85 percent of leagues so most most situations are not going to have the opportunity to go get him he was drafted
24:15Jason Moore:yeah he's one of them to me to me it's the the Cleveland Browns backfield of of Quenchon Judkins if he's there and Dylan Sampson who I think retains the pass catching role I say Bachel tootin yeah um because he's now going to be tootin's at the top of the list for me to me it's it's tootin and trey benson that you're hoping are flex with benefits they are going to be somewhat startable they will get enough work um to where you can throw them in a flex in a pinch they're not just a complete insurance option backup but they still have that insurance policy where if the starter goes down, now they're real fantasy gold.
24:56Mike Wright:I don't know if philosophically I agree this year at running back. Like, I wouldn't go very hard. If Judkins is not out there, I'm actually not going very hard at running back this week. I don't see anybody I can guarantee start next week. And that's going to, you know, I know a lot of people are thin at running back. Players like, you know, if you had Tank Bigsby, he's not an option anymore, right? Like, people drafted him to maybe be a running back option. maybe you don't feel very good about you know Nick Chubb or some of these other guys that you you like I don't feel like I can play Tootin next week and feel good about it I don't feel that way about Trey Benson I mean I could get lucky but he had eight carries so it's it's one of those situations where I'm actually probably going to conserve a little bit and look for we're in
25:40Jason Moore:we're in agreement just to be clear I when I say I go hard in week one that's where I caveat it the
25:46Andy Holloway:running backs aren't where i'm going okay yeah and then uh i think tootin can be a a 10 plus opportunity guy i i feel that way but they also put they had uh laquint allen right
25:57Mike Wright:yep yeah so they had other players in there so i'm a little bit more hesitant i i do agree he's probably the top ad sampson looked good but now with judkins and ford and the browns offense it makes me a little bit more concerned about weekly starter potential manong guy we were hoping to see something from him we didn't he had zero carries kareem hunt look kareem hunt i think should be rostered he got a lot of snaps uh he didn't produce the chiefs backfield if if this
26:31Andy Holloway:is really what they're going to do to us this was a mess yeah then there it was the chargers they were down i mean there will be games when they're ahead sure but the game opened isaiah pacheco took the first snap then rookie brashad smith came in and right the second snap and then kareem hunt came in and took the third snap i mean if this is the approach that they're going to go that literally all three players are going to get time then it will be touchdown or bust drop candidates
26:59Mike Wright:um you know not a lot in week one a lot of people are holding but you know tank bigsby i think is a drop i think i would absolutely you need flexibility this week there's no world where i'm holding tank
27:13Jason Moore:I love Will Shipley. He came in early, looked great. There was a report out that said they were looking at Tank as a kick returner. This had nothing to do with Will Shipley's injury. Let's just assume that's true. I still now wonder, do you hold on to Will Shipley or do you cut him with Tank there and AJ Dillon there and Will Shipley? I don't want any of the backups I agree it's like I have a lot of Will Shipley on my leagues I was happy with what I saw and now I'm like he's probably someone I'm cutting I want to throw one more name out before we move on I think DJ Giddens is someone that absolutely needs to be rostered first of all there was an injury to Jonathan Taylor's neck we saw they were up so big against the Miami Dolphins that they said Jonathan Taylor was fine he got checked out but because they were up so much they didn't put him back in we thought when we were watching live that they just were like we're up 30 in the fourth bench him which I would have done the same uh Jonathan Taylor looked awesome but it was clarity was given to us DJ Giddens the rookie running back he was the guy that came in and took everything so if Jonathan Taylor goes down DJ Giddens is the guy so I think he's a good insurance like I would drop Will Shipley to pick up DJ Giddens uh that makes sense
28:31Mike Wright:And to go along with Shipley, would you drop – we talked about Bigsby, but would you drop Caleb Johnson, Jerome Ford, Braylon Allen, Cam Scadaboo? You need to drop somebody if you're going to pick up a waiver guy this week.
28:42Jason Moore:Yeah, so I would drop Tank. I would drop Ollie Gordon. I would drop Braylon Allen. I would probably drop Jerome Ford. He's tough because right now he is a starter, and we don't know with Quinshawn Judkins, so I might want to hold on to him for one more week. I'm not dropping the rookies in Cam Scadaboo and Caleb Johnson. I drafted them knowing it might be a couple weeks before they get more involved. So if you have to have a roster spot, you can.
29:11Mike Wright:Wide receiver, top pickups. Ironically, the Chargers receiver room is going to get a lot of attention today. Keenan Allen's probably not out there, but he is out there in about 40 % of leagues. So he is a must-add, and I think, and we'll see if you guys agree, but I think Quentin Johnson is a must-add. He is 100 % a must-add. And he's only 10 % rostered. He was 5 for 79-2. He caught the ball. And the way this passing offense looked in week one, very encouraging. And you're talking about kind of different archetypes when, you know, Keenan, McConkie versus what Quentin Johnston brings to the table.
29:51Jason Moore:Quentin Johnston has the high potential upside. We talked about yesterday the stat of, you know, when you're scoring more than 21 fantasy points in a game, Quentin Johnson's had four of those since the beginning of last season. You remember how many touchdowns he had last year off the top of your head?
30:05Mike Wright:I know it was a lot. It's more than seven. It's eight.
30:09Jason Moore:Oh, man. Way more. That is one more than seven. Personally, if both of those guys are out there, if I'm in one of the leagues that Keenan Allen's out there, I would much prefer to have Keenan. Keenan is a locked in. He got double-digit targets right off the bat. He is the best friend of Herbert. Keenan is like a weekly starter. I do agree Quentin Johnson is more of the high upside, but you're going to have a lot of volatility.
30:36Mike Wright:Now, do you like Hollywood the most? Do you like him more than adding Johnston this week?
30:42Andy Holloway:I don't. I would put him. No, no. He's behind those guys because he should be a rental. I mean, hypothetically, you know, if everyone stays healthy for Los Angeles, those will be the three guys. and where Hollywood Brown, he was a product of necessity of you lost Worthy right away. Did we get a Worthy update on the shoulder yet today?
31:07Jason Moore:I have not seen.
31:08Andy Holloway:I haven't seen anything either. I expect him back at some point, and then Rice will be back. It's not that he is a good rental in the time being. You get Philadelphia, the Giants, and Baltimore.
31:25Mike Wright:You actually want them losing. Sure. Right now.
31:29Andy Holloway:Yeah, because you want 16 targets. So he's, compared to Kuge and Keenan Allen, it's just for a chunk of time, which should make him cost less. He was awesome.
31:39Jason Moore:My only worry there is that because it was in a game plan that expected to have Xavier Worthy there, and then this is what they kind of threw at the wall, I don't know if going into another week maybe rookie Jalen Royals gets more involved.
31:52Andy Holloway:I mean, he's hurt. Is he not? He was hurt for week one, so I don't know. Tyquan Thornton will score this week, by the way.
32:01Mike Wright:Oh, is that a touchdown guarantee? It's a touchdown guarantee. The first one of the year. Tyquan Thornton of the Kansas City Chiefs will score this week. Okay. The touchdown will be 42 yards, exactly.
32:12Andy Holloway:Okay, okay. Okay. Getting a little big for the britches over there.
32:15Jason Moore:I mean, that's a must start. 42 yards. He will score.
32:19Andy Holloway:That's 10 points. Thornton is on no rosters.
32:23Mike Wright:he had four targets he had a couple deep shots he will guaranteed score this week cedric tillman is a must add eight targets five for 52 and one tillman started alongside jerry judy he also like jerry judy threw the ball up into the air to be intercepted on behalf of joe
32:40Jason Moore:flacco i think there's an argument that tillman is more valuable than even quentin johnston no i i'm
32:46Mike Wright:fine with quentin i'm fine with tillman being the number one ad i really am we've seen i believe
32:50Jason Moore:four games now without Amari Cooper where Jerry Judy and Tillman played the full games and in those games both were outstanding but I believe Tillman has even more receptions he he had the year two kind of breakout happening last year before the concussion they shut him down for the rest of the season the fact that he came out week one eight targets and he's got Joe Flacco now the schedule coming up is difficult um but I I really like Tillman there's a name that I think is worth spending some time on yeah i'm gonna love it only four percent rostered only 23
33:25Mike Wright:years old got some badonka don't from wide receiver university don't forget oh even ahead of them and what i saw in the field for new england last week told me that you know demario douglas had one catch
33:38Jason Moore:stefan diggs looked irrelevant in the offense i thought he had two i saw jj put out um the craziest stat line for Douglas was to yeah yeah yeah read the stat line two for negative two with a touchdown
33:52Mike Wright:with a touchdown look but it was more about digs it was more about so far I know digs could be coming back from the ACL but you're older that you you also just aren't digs Kayshawn Booty is the name yes Kayshawn Booty is 23 years old he really really flashed at the end of 2024 with Drake May in a time when you weren't paying attention he was the wide receiver 11 and the wide receiver four in two of the final three weeks of the season he plays a ton of snaps he had eight targets this week you talk about a wide receiver room where you're trying to find Kyle Williams and Demario Douglas and Stefan Diggs Hunter Henry always does his week one thing it was
34:27Jason Moore:Kayshawn Booty that makes you I think it's gonna stick I do too keep in mind Kayshawn Booty had a year at LSU where he was ahead of Malik Nabors ahead of Brian Thomas Jr he was supposed to be the next star had a very bad injury and then was like where did he fall in the draft he was a a sixth round pick he was an afterthought but now he's looked the part you go back to last year he looked the part at the end of the year with drake may so you believe i 100 in the booty last year with drake may he had a game you know five for 95 seven for 117 you come out in the first week of year two and he's the clear number one.
35:09Jason Moore:Kayshawn Booty is a must-add. I mean, this is where I say I'm going hard in week one. It's at wide receivers. Keenan Allen, Quinton Johnson, Cedric Tillman, Kayshawn Booty, and a sprinkle on Hollywood. Those are like, I'm going hard after them. And I still think there's a couple more names worthy of important ads.
35:27Mike Wright:Yeah, let's all name one more that we're a fan of. Alec Iomanner had seven targets in Tennessee in a tough matchup against Denver. Also had a catch negated by his own dumb coach who didn't know the rules. Oh my goodness. Well, there's so many of them. 28 % target share.
35:42Jason Moore:I would venture to guess that at least 60 % of casual fans casual, not people listening to this show that watch all these games. You mean knew that an elbow meant you were down? Knew that, like, yeah, if you land on an elbow inbounds, that that counts inbounds. You don't also need a foot.
35:59Mike Wright:Yeah, he sounded so dumb. I can't imagine how bad it's going to be at his next presser. Because they're going to, I mean, how do you answer that? I was thinking about this this morning. So for those that don't know, Brian Callahan, head coach of the, the ever frustrated head coach of the Tennessee Titans, you know, didn't challenge a play where Iow Manor caught the ball, got an elbow down before his feet landed out of bounds. And in the press conference, he literally says, he goes, well, you need, you need one foot after an elbow. You can't just get an elbow down. Which is wrong. Completely wrong.
36:26Mike Wright:But now how do you answer that if today? Right, today. Here, let me do it. Okay. All right.
36:30Jason Moore:Am I Brian? You're Brian, yeah.
36:31Mike Wright:uh coach uh yesterday you mentioned that um you know you didn't challenge because of the elbow foot rule obviously you know the elbow is uh they're they're down what why did you any thoughts
36:44Jason Moore:today yeah look in the in the moment you know opening week
36:55Andy Holloway:I'm showing up to the presser with a big oversized prop that says rules. Ah. Oh, you're playing it up? I thought you were bringing a newspaper. I'm either bringing that book or I'm bringing a smoke bomb.
37:08Jason Moore:It is a real... Oh, smoke bomb's a good idea. I think you've got to come out and lead with it. Genuinely, like he needs to come out and say... Yeah, I obviously made a mistake. Yeah, I obviously made a mistake. I'm an idiot. I'm going to own that. It'll be fine. I've hired someone to be my rules expert.
37:22Andy Holloway:Get the freaking Madden teenager onto your coaching staff to manage your clock, to know all the rules, because they know them. Is that the catch child as well, or is that a different person? The catch child.
37:34Jason Moore:It used to be the catch child. They grew up playing more Madden, and now they graduated to the rules analyst.
37:40Mike Wright:All right, so Alec Ironman, still the name I'm going to bring up, 28 % target share for Cam Ward. Cam Ward was very inaccurate in week one facing the Denver defense. it will get better for him and iowa manor was an every down guy like if you was if you still believe calvin ridley can do something i think iowa manor you give him a week uh seven targets
37:57Jason Moore:is a lot i'll bring up uh two names quickly one is kendrick born we mentioned that the that the san francisco 49ers signed him i would not play him if mac jones is the starter but he will cost you nothing it's a zero dollar bid another one that is available in about 40 of leagues he was drafted in some places darnell mooney we don't know if he's playing week two so don't spend if he's out there but we don't know that drake london probably i don't i don't think drake london plays this week um we don't have i think he doesn't we don't have an update yet but just usually if it's an ac sprain i mean maybe he does i don't know that we don't we don't know for sure but there's a chance that he that darnell mooney is out there and drake london is not and if he is then he's like a must start type of player.
38:41Mike Wright:Mike, do you have a name?
38:42Jason Moore:Have we gotten through them all?
38:44Andy Holloway:I mean, it's more like the you know, the neighborhoods. It's like take a book, leave a book. You've seen those like Romeo Dobbs is like that with the waiver wire. Just like, hey, does your team need a wide receiver this week? Just pick him up, but then put him back. Put him back on the waiver wire when you're done. Even with the oversized helmet.
39:02Jason Moore:Oh, he looks so funny. But also, Chris, Chris Olovy why are you not wearing the Guardian? His should be twice as big. How big can you make them? Let's find out. Can you bring the bicycle pump and just pump it up a little extra? I was thinking one of those
39:24Mike Wright:plastic gerbil wheels that you just get up and put your head in there.
39:28Jason Moore:There was a play against the Cardinals where he took a hard hit and he stayed down a little bit. It wasn't a hit to the head, but it sure looked
39:36Mike Wright:like it rocked the brain a little bit. Well, I honestly thought he got up real quick to try to pretend like he was okay. Drop candidates that are coming in off of Twitter. Cooper Cup, who looked like not good.
39:47Jason Moore:Yeah, I'm fine dropping Cooper Cup. Josh Downs. Josh Downs played, again, only the slot role. Yeah. It's concerning. Tyler Warren is probably the number one target for this team. He was in week one. Michael Pittman is ahead on the snap percentage. I'm fine moving on from Josh Downs. He's not a must drop.
40:05Andy Holloway:I agree. and Jaden Higgins and just remember Josh Downs is coming off of the injury so there's a chance that
40:11Jason Moore:he was slow played as well I personally would definitely not drop Jaden Higgins the opportunity is there I watched all of his routes this morning again and he wasn't on the field as much as you want now Kurt could come back here though in a couple weeks sure but hopefully by the time he comes back Jaden Higgins has worked his way up to an 80 % snap player John Jennings with the injury
40:31Mike Wright:I'm fine dropping him.
40:33Jason Moore:I'm not waiting around to have him come back slowly. I'll pick him back up off of waivers when he's back, but he doesn't need to clog a roster spot.
40:40Mike Wright:We do have a weekly targets per outrun report on the website by one of our writers, A.J. Passman. You can check that out at thefantasyfootballers.com. We'll take one more break, come back with tight ends and quarterbacks.
40:53Andy Holloway:No matter what triumphs are in store this season, legendary game days start with a Miller Lite. Miller Lite is a true American pilsner and the original light beer brewed since 1975. And with just 96 calories and 3.2 grams of carbs per 12-ounce serving, Miller time is always a good time. Game days are upon us. Fantasy football season is upon us. When I'm hooting and hollering, I build up a mighty thirst, and nothing satisfies that thirst like a Miller Lite on a Sunday.
41:37Andy Holloway:It goes down smooth. It's refreshing. It never lets me down. Make game day legendary. Go to MillerLite.com slash footballers to find delivery options near you, or you can pick up some Miller Lite pretty much anywhere they sell beer. Game time is Miller time. Celebrate responsibly. 42:01Mike Wright:All right, Foot Clan, whether you are on the go or at home, T-Mobile, well, they're built to keep you connected wherever you're scouting your fantasy team. And that on-the-go part, that is important. With America's Best Network, you'll be connected to the latest news and player projections so when you're on the clock, you can draft a winning team. I can think of so many situations where that element of being connected while you're on the go is fundamental to fantasy football success. I'm in the midst of multiple leagues right now where I am responding to trade offers. We are massaging the trade offer.
42:32Mike Wright:We want to make sure that I'm the one that gets the player, not another player manager in our league. So trade offers when you're on the go, all the news that's breaking so you don't make a mistake. And my favorite thing, maybe I'll mention it. Look, you're sitting and you have a quiet moment somewhere out and about. You want to jump in the UDK. We got the player profiles. You can watch all of those in there with T-Mobile. You can jump in on the player projections and our stat projections and all the 130 ,000 words of content. Again, T-Mobile making that easy to do. Every bit of news. Things are changing all the time.
43:04Mike Wright:New player contracts, all that good stuff. So from offseason to game day, every play is better with T-Mobile. What you got to do is visit T-Mobile.com slash network. Fastest is based on analysis by Ookla of Speed Test Intelligence Data of national speed score results for the second half of 2025. 43:34Mike Wright:All right, time to get into it. Tight end position, you know, really tough to chase tight ends.
43:41Andy Holloway:Yeah, I think there's some guys to chase.
43:43Mike Wright:there are at least five I was going to say I got four I would say four I'm going six okay six seven Harold love it yeah yeah Harold Fannin Falcon is rubbing his face
44:04Jason Moore:he was not happy with that he's like you old men Jason would you mind how about now
44:13Andy Holloway:Are we cool? Backwards caps? This is what happens, man. You become the old guy, and then you take what's cool, and you do it. And you ruin it. And you ruin it for everyone.
44:23Mike Wright:See, I didn't even know there was a hand gesture, but my daughter did that this morning. Oh, come on. Yeah, yeah. No, no, no. She was doing like, she made the six and the seven. Oh, that might be new. That's next level. Yeah, that might be new. She might be breaking that out. She might have. She trend started. All right, listen. Let's talk tight ends. There are some interesting names. Look, I don't know if you're including Hunter Henry. I'm not going to do that.
44:46Jason Moore:He was when I moved up to six.
44:48Mike Wright:Yeah, I figured. But for me, the more interesting names, Harold Fannin Jr., rookie tight end, collegiate sensation, nine targets, seven for 63. When you look at Cleveland, I've got a different point of view here. I don't know. It does hurt David Njoku, yes, to have Harold Fannin Jr. involved. Both of them were on the field a ton. that's the point though is they run a ton of 12 in Cleveland so I think you're going to see Njoku and Harold Fannin Jr. on the field a lot and you're going to throw the ball a lot as long as Joe Flacco is your quarterback so to me Harold Fannin is a great like we've had rookie tight ends make a huge impact four years we already had two in week one like Harold Fannin Tyler Warren both of these guys made a big impact didn't see that from Colson Loveland but no like Fannin is
45:36Jason Moore:a must add to me. I completely agree. The scouting report coming in, we talked about he had a bad combine and he played at a smaller school. He's not an athletic profile. And I remember watching the film and what I said on him was like, it's so weird. You watch him and he runs like he's got lead in his feet. You don't understand why it works. And it works every single play. And my my landing spot was I'm in I'm in on believing Harold Fannin is great he had 117 receptions in college as a tight end that's not good that's unheard of 1500 yards double digit touchdowns and so the fact that week one right off the bat he's nine targets this is he I believe he will be involved I'm totally fine if you are struggling for a tight end and you want to pick up Harold fan and he he has to be picked up in case he becomes just a full breakout isaiah likely please don't forget he exists isaiah likely because you know who doesn't exist mark andrew that's right
46:42Mike Wright:oh man uh mike will want to talk about the 11 targets the eight catches the 76 yards for the recently paid and seemingly important juan johnson a route on 96 percent of dropbacks this was not an
46:55Andy Holloway:he didn't accidentally get 11 targets this was kellen moore saw what the staff was and they said you are not blocking yeah you're not blocking and juan's one of those converted wide receiver guys he like that's what he played and then he became a tight end because he got too big uh and but he built up that skill set both i i'm i'm really struggling between fanon and juan who i would target because I think that they are both crucial must-ads for all 12-team leagues out there. Juwan, 62 % of his snaps was in the slot. If you recall the times of when Kellen Moore was on Philadelphia, it was like, oh man, if Devonta Smith is in the slot, that is an important role for the Kellen Moore offense.
47:47Andy Holloway:I'm very in on Juwan to the point of, If you're looking good and you're like, I got this one guy I can get rid of, I wouldn't mind literally blocking people from getting one of those tight ends. I think you don't want your opponents to get them.
48:03Mike Wright:Two other names. One I like a little bit more. Like, Brenton Strange had a really good week one. And he gets the Bengals. I could see that. He was 4 for 59. It was a weird off day for Brian Thomas. You're still acclimating Travis Hunter. So I'm not overemphasizing Brenton Strange. I think you're going to have – I just don't know if his ceiling is what some of these other guys are. And I will say, like, Johnny Smith was coming back from injury, still had six targets, five catches, had a touchdown. I know we don't like it, but Arthur – Arthur loves this dude. Like, I can't imagine there's not design Johnny Smith plays five, six, seven times a game, every game, forever.
48:41Jason Moore:No, I agree. He was one of my five – you know, I think the tight end and wide receivers are very deep for good pickups. and you can never, you know, most people don't have a good tight end, so take your shots. I agree with Mike. Even if you've kind of got someone that's like, you know, you don't have one of the top two, three guys, or you lost George Kittle, but if you've got a decent, you know, you've got Hawkinson, who did very little, but obviously you're not going to start most of these guys over Hawkinson next week, but you're not sure. Pick up one of these guys as a backup.
49:14Mike Wright:Yeah. No, it makes sense. People want to know, can they drop Mark Andrews, can they drop Evan Ingram? Mark Andrews for sure.
49:20Andy Holloway:It might be yes and yes. Evan Ingram is the – With the injuries. Because he is the injury. Was it a calf? Is that right? Yes.
49:26Mike Wright:Yeah. Defensively this week, Arizona, they were probably rostered in week one against New Orleans, but they have Carolina this week, which is great. The Rams looked awesome on defense in week one. Oh, the Rams. They're probably the best pickup because they faced Cam Ward. Now, they're in Tennessee, but that seems like a great pickup.
49:42Jason Moore:Their defense was so good. I know we talked a lot about the offensive line problems for the Texans, but part of their offensive line problems was the Rams' defense. I think they're going to be one of the best this year.
49:55Mike Wright:San Francisco plays New Orleans, who Arizona played last week. San Francisco 59 % rostered. The Patriots play Miami. Miami looked incompetent. Patriots, they are going on the road in that one, 26 % rostered. And then Dallas, just 5 % rostered, but they play the Giants, and they're at home. And Russell Wilson named week two starter. Yeah, that makes Dallas pretty attractive there. So you can see all the waiver wire rankings on the website, the fantasyfootballers.com. And like Jason said at the top, the Ultimate Dashboard, customized waiver wire rankings for your league, for each of your teams in the Ultimate Dashboard.
50:28Mike Wright:And you can get access to that and a ton of awesome in-season resources and perks, including all the resources are on the in-season app as well. So you can go, if you're on the App Store, just type in the Fantasy Footballers and you will get the app. And if you're a Foot Clan member, you get access. I've been spoiled.
50:48Jason Moore:My child got in a car accident, unfortunately, a couple weeks ago, and we were down to - What a loser. I know, right? We were down to two cars.
51:00Mike Wright:You got to fill in the context there, man.
51:02Jason Moore:It sounded pretty bad. My kid got into an accident last week, too. Yeah, mine was not my kid's fault. Anyways. Boom, shakalaka. You brought that up. Yeah, you didn't call him a loser. Anyways, my point is we were a three-car family for a couple months. Everybody's okay. 16 years old. Yes, everyone in all situations is okay. Except for my insurance. Go on. We were down to two cars, and it was like, oh, my gosh, how are we going to be a two-car family? It's like we were a two-car family for 16 years. After a couple months, it's impossible. That's how I feel about the dashboard. Like, we launched the ultimate dashboard last year.
51:40Jason Moore:What in the world? No, listen. it started my i i've been spoiled my kid got into an accident that's how the sentence started no but it started with the ultimate dashboard because two years ago we didn't have the ultimate dashboard it was fine now i've got so many leaks oh and their dashboard got crunched and i'm just saying like i feel like i can't live without it anymore i tried like last week like what is happening here i don't know if this is the greatest or worst pitch i've ever heard it's not a pitch it's it's really not a pitch you don't need to go why was this why is this right in your car My point is I feel like I can't Live without that thing anymore even though I did it For the last 20 years The last 20 years I had to go in Every league manually look at all my Lineups manually look at all my waivers manually And now it's like with the dashboard I go in and I'm like okay this is What I need to change this is who I need to Pick up it's wonderful ultimate dashboard
52:31Andy Holloway:Better than a car crash
52:34Jason Moore:Yes see that's Bringing the pitch home Mike ultimate Dashboard better than a car crash You got it.

53:03Jason Moore:Full stream ahead.
53:08Mike Wright:quarterback streamers for week number two uh mike why don't you start us off i totally believe in
53:14Andy Holloway:this guy uh i see as you just traded for him in our league of records so welcome yes all are welcome yes uh to what's his name to support justin fields starting quarterback of the new york jets oh and he runs he runs where he's in the streamer area here because he's going to get picked up uh if he's on your way of wire he will be picked up and i don't think he's going to be allowed to be in this section from here on out so let's use it while we can justin fields versus buffalo yeah i mean he runs a ton obviously we had the the naked bootleg easy touchdown uh and he just he looked good he has a team that i believe wanted justin fields and they're saying we want you because you are good at these things so let's do those things that you are good at and he takes on the Buffalo.
54:02Andy Holloway:They're going to need to score a ton.
54:04Mike Wright:They should have won the game, and their head coach is a defensive-minded head coach, and they could not slow down Aaron Rodgers. Maybe he's secretly an offensive coach. It was just one of those games where you look at it, and you're like, much like Lamar's game, it's like, what else could Justin Fields have done? I mean, he played outstanding, and he's a great high-floor starter as long as he's starting.
54:24Jason Moore:I'll go next because it's very similar to Mike's. this is another Justin who is on about half of waivers, and I don't think we'll be able to say his name again the rest of the season after this week. I agree. Personally, if this guy's on my waivers, I'm going after him no matter what because I'm a believer it's Justin Herbert. Are you going after him or Fields? I would go after Herbert over Fields. Personally, I believe in what we saw. I'm very curious. We have tomorrow we're doing an overreactions episode on the Dynasty podcast, and I looked at the show doc, and Kyle has put in the Justin Herbert, the passing volume of the Chargers.
55:01Jason Moore:And now I don't currently know where we're surprising each other. I don't know if he's saying we're overreacting to the fact that he threw the ball so much against the Chiefs and that might have been the game plan or if he believes that that's what it is going forward. Personally, I believe Justin Herbert is going to be awesome this year. I think we all saw the potential for this to be an outcome this year, but I'm buying in after week one because he was incredible and because he has the weapons. Why would you go away from?
55:29Andy Holloway:We did list the top waiver option pickups are two of his wide receivers.
55:33Jason Moore:Yeah, exactly. You've got you. You've got Ladd McConkie, Quinton Johnston. You've got it's going to be an Allen.
55:39Mike Wright:It's going to be a really good year for this team. He needed more receiver weapons last year. Yeah, it you know, if they get ahead by running the football, they may keep running the football. I think those games will happen. But more often than not, I think Herbert, you know, I don't know why you can't look at him through a similar lens as Baker Mayfield. Like, Baker's somehow in our, you know, our normal start category.
56:02Jason Moore:I figure Herbert will be there. Harbaugh came out and had one of the greatest quotes, which was his job is to make Justin Herbert a Hall of Famer. And I agree, right? He's not going to the Hall of Fame probably without a Super Bowl. So, I mean, that is his job, right? They play on Monday Night Football this week, prime time in front of the world in Las Vegas, where last year this team in Las Vegas, Justin Herbert, was the quarterback three. They're going to throw the ball in that game. Obviously, if they're up a bunch of scores, they'll run it out, but they're getting up a bunch of scores by Justin Herbert touchdowns.
56:35Mike Wright:Jake May against Miami is my stream of the week. Miami laid an egg last week, made Daniel Jones an all-star. I mean, we could probably talk about Daniel Jones as well in this segment
56:44Andy Holloway:just to ask the question of do you believe we still want to see it at least one more definitely
56:49Mike Wright:we do but may may gets to play miami and uh hopefully you know drake may jj mccarthy michael pennix jr caleb williams honestly all of them some good plays some bad plays some plays that look like oh that's you know bo nicks throw them in the category i mean these are all the sophomores that like okay you look like a star on that play and you look kind of bad on the next one
57:14Jason Moore:Yeah, Drake May
57:15Mike Wright:It's gonna be May
57:18Jason Moore:We're bringing it back It's not about the months anymore, it's about Drake Why are you explaining it?
57:25Mike Wright:Because, you know, for those that Would you trade Bo Nix for Justin Fields? No Mike is literally I mean, he literally has Bo Nix as his starter I think the answer is yes for Mike I'm just gonna answer it for him
57:38Jason Moore:Okay, so answer it for yourself
57:40Mike Wright:It's tough yeah it's one week maybe take a breath we have what are we doing tomorrow we're doing some take checks we're going to take a look at things we said in the off season that we think are working out and some things we think are not working out according to our perspective coming into the year and the way we were predicting things we also have a Thursday night breakdown we'll get into the mailbag and then we'll move on to starts of the week the matchup previews the rest of the way.
