In short
Fantasy Footballers Podcast (8/7) focuses on WR rankings (countdown 20-11) plus “riskier picks,” and it starts with preseason/news context for how injuries and QB situations affect targets and touchdowns.
Guests/hosts
Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright (the episode is hosted by these three; no additional guests appear in the transcript).
Key claims and notable examples
- Carson Beck looked strong in the Hall of Fame Game: 14/18, with downfield throws; Cardinals’ QB situation could impact TE Trey McBride vs Brock Bowers usage.
- Alec Pierce injury update: no timetable; hosts argue the lack of clarity may push ADP down, making him a buy with a “3-week” watch window.
- Jalen Waddle strain: expected return in 4-5 days; Romeo Dobbs missed practice but “not serious.”
- WR ranking 20: Tee Higgins is a floor play (touchdown volatility and injury history keep him below ADP); potential top-10 if QB and health align.
- WR 19: T’Tadaroa McMillan is viewed as talented but QB/target-share dependent (Bryce Young concerns).
- WR 17: Zay Flowers’ target share is rising, but touchdown variance limits upside.
- WR 14: Garrett Wilson is a target-share “machine” (28% avg), with improved Jets offense and health supporting top-10 potential.

Monday Night Football, every week, every game on NFL Network. Now also available with an ESPN Unlimited plan. And for the first time ever, Super Bowl 61. Marquee matchups, MVP quarterbacks, international games, the whole season start to finish. Football's on ESPN. This episode is brought to you by State Farm. Every football fan is different. Some won't wash their lucky mustard-stained jersey until the season's over. Some insist they can't sit down on third downs, and some pick their favorite team because, I don't know, just like football fandom, nobody's life is exactly the same, and that's why State Farm gets to know you, not as a policy number but as an actual person, so they can help personalize a coverage plan that's just for you.
0:59Jason Moore:Whether it's game day or just another Tuesday, State Farm has you covered.
1:09Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
1:27Mike Wright:Welcome, man. Oh, my gosh, it was football time. It really was. It was. Mike.
1:35Jason Moore:Oh. How did that happen? I'll tell you what. I assume. No one knows. I assume, because I know for myself, and we do this professionally, like I don't watch the Hall of Fame game. I drive a Dodge Stratus. I don't usually watch the Hall of Fame game. the only reason that I really turned it on obviously Larry's going to the Hall of Fame and Carson Beck was starting and so I wanted to see it but the thing is regardless of whether you care about Carson Beck or the Cardinals or the Panthers whoever if you watched it it was a wildly fun game like really fun back and forth crazy ending it was good football
2:21Mike Wright:I mean, last second's win. Yeah. Final play of the game. Like a walk-off. I mean, you don't get that in football very often.
2:28Jason Moore:No, because this was like, and thank goodness, and of course, but they could have kicked a field goal to tie the end and go to overtime, which would have been like the play you would have done probably in regular season. But, you know, you don't need more of the Hall of Fame game. So they just, it's like timeless. That was really fun.
2:46Mike Wright:It was great. It really was football. Carson Beck was awesome. I mean, it's what I hear for incompletions. Did you not watch it?
2:54Andy Holloway:No, I was not able to watch it. Wow.
2:56Mike Wright:Well, you missed out, Mike.
2:57Andy Holloway:I was at mandatory parent meetings for football.
3:02Jason Moore:Yeah.
3:02Mike Wright:Oh, that's this is like a lot of you think Mike works here full time. No, no, this is my side. This is Mike's side hustle. His full time job is being a dad to a son who's in high school football. the mandatory meeting thing for parents they lay that on thick too what are they going to do? Are they going to take your kid and kick him off the team if you don't show up? Where's his father?
3:30Andy Holloway:It's funny to me and I understand all these things you gotta be informed but it's funny the mandatory meeting and then we have we gotta donate to the snack bar this weekend but it's a mandatory donation you get to donate And I'm like, I don't think that word means what you think it means. I think what you're looking for is a fee.
3:50Jason Moore:There's a mandatory fee. These clubs are out of control. It's not just sports. We should start something. We really need to. My kids are in a theater where they're in an outreach group. They have to pay to join the group. But then if you're in the group that you pay for, you must participate in all these donation events. Which is like, wait, we're paying so that we have to pay more? What are we doing?
4:15Mike Wright:It's wild. By the way, I want to say thank you to the 9 ,000 people who have DMed me their golf tips for all the things I was doing wrong. The Falcon decided to put together a play nine holes with Andy. Then he's going to do a play nine holes with Jason.
4:29Jason Moore:That'll be a longer video.
4:32Mike Wright:But just so that, you know. Can you time lapse it?
4:36Andy Holloway:Yeah, we might have to skip a few holes. Yeah.
4:39Mike Wright:Yeah, it's been a humbling experience receiving all of your thoughts and comments. most of you concerned with me chewing on a golf tee. That was the number one tip.
4:49Jason Moore:And this is a good piece of advice they care. I've never thought of this. If you were taking the tea out of the ground and putting it in your mouth, I'd be eating chemicals and pesticides. That wasn't what you were doing, of course, because you're not a monster.
5:02Mike Wright:No, this was a regular unused golf tee. Like you're supposed to consume. And I realize the irony with my tooth problems. You chew on things that you shouldn't chew on.
5:14Jason Moore:Also, you literally, after this, purchased flavored golf tees. Ridiculous.
5:21Mike Wright:With dental-grade plastic. Okay. They're safe to consume. But, yeah, that was humbling. What a weird idea. To do that? Yeah. It's because people chew on golf tees, whether they should or shouldn't. That happens enough to where there's now a market of me out there.
5:39Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, people sell cigarettes.
5:42Mike Wright:It's like, you shouldn't, but if you do. There were some people that thought I was just lighting up. That thought I smoked at the golf course.
5:50Jason Moore:I'll have a cigar in my mouth for my play nine.
5:54Mike Wright:Just don't dip it in the grass where the pesticides are. We have a great show today. We got wide receiver countdown. We got the news to talk about. We got the ultimate draft kit available right now. If you do not have it and you are prepping up for drafts, the NFL season starts one week later than it did last year. And we have a lot of drafts coming up the rest of this month and into early September because the kickoff is September 9th.
6:21Jason Moore:Yeah.
6:21Mike Wright:So you're going to have drafts. I mean, we have ours on Labor Day for our League of Record, other drafts throughout the month. But you want to be prepared. We have put together the ultimate draft kit, over 130 ,000 words of original content analysis, player analysis, rankings. All of our, you know, the draft analyzer is part of the UDK+. The mock draft tool is brand new. And I think we saw yesterday over 150 ,000 mock drafts have already taken place on the platform. Always updating and improving the UDK every single day. We have videos on. I'm talking about Cyrus Allen here, baby. Yeah.
6:57Jason Moore:I mean, there's a lot of the unheralded rookies that are making waves. This is the time of year where we can make some notes on them, make sure you're aware of them in the draft kit. and we've got videos, individual videos on basically every single really relevant player. Those are worth a watch or a listen. You can do it either way. And yeah, it's all in the UDK.
7:18Mike Wright:And if you are sticking with us throughout the season, one of the things we do from February all the way through kickoff is allow you to take the full price that you paid for the UDK and just apply it to become an ultimate Foot Clan member dollar for dollar. So it's a completely, you know, we don't take anything away from it. We prorate it fully. And that gets you the end season tools like the ultimate dashboard, all of our in-season rankings, the trade analyzer, which is part of that, all the stream finder, the start set tool, all the in-season stuff. If you just want one thing to worry about and you want to support the show, you can do that just by going to jointhefoot.com.
7:53Mike Wright:And you'll see if you're logged in under your UDK account, you can just apply that and pick it up. So ultimatedraftkit.com for the draft kit, jointhefoot.com for the ultimate membership. And we do have that giveaway going on right now, Completely free to enter. Footclanggiveaway.com for a sign.
8:07Andy Holloway:There's so much going on right now.
8:08Mike Wright:Bijan Robinson jersey. You can go do that. Quick question of the day comes in from Brandon in Nebraska. He says, in my 12-team PPR league, we do not know the draft order until one hour before draft time. I just want to hear your input. So mysterious. On how I should prepare myself best for this draft.
8:26Jason Moore:Yeah, we do this for our listener league, which thank you all who have submitted. And you get a morbid satisfaction out of it. I really love that you can't truly fully prepare, but you can prepare. Yeah, people get desperate, though. They're like, Jason, come on. Come on. Tell us. What I really want to do is I want to give them the order so that they prepare and then last second change it so that they prepared wrong. In fact, I'm doing that this year. Can I get agreement? Wait, what do you want to do? We can, but you're telling everyone. I know, but they might not be listening to this episode right now.
8:59Jason Moore:But I'm saying if they're in the Listener League, they better be listening to this episode. Yeah, that's true. They better be listening to all of them. I was saying I should set a draft order now and then completely change it right before the draft. But they'll know. If they're listening. That's, you know, it's an advantage. Here's the answer to the question. Because the real trick is do the draft order and then surprise them like 30 seconds later. But don't tell them on this show. Well, sure, but I've already told them. When you have a draft like this coming up, mock drafts are incredibly important.
9:28Jason Moore:and that's why we just built a mock draft tool. What you do is you do a handful of drafts from the 2, the 7, and the 11, assuming it's a 12-person team. All you really need to know is what is it like at the beginning, the middle, or the end of drafts. You don't have to know your exact draft spot. You just need to know, like, when I'm near the back end of the first round, and I'm near the 1-2 and the 3-4 turn, what players what positions really do I like better or worse in the next time I'm on the clock the next time I'm on the clock that's pretty much all you have to do I I think that's how I would
10:08Mike Wright:like to prepare yeah I mean I think it's the essence of what we do in our rankings as well it's the tier-based drafting strategy puts you in a position where you are able to react to whatever happens. Just because you know your draft spot, okay, maybe you can project your first round situation perfectly or you know kind of where things are falling. You're going to get surprised no matter whether you know it or not throughout the second, third, fourth, fifth round and beyond. We use tiers to define player groupings so that you can make decisions down the line. We did a mock draft show yesterday.
10:45Mike Wright:There were often times we're looking at the situation saying, And look, this player is the final one of a group of relevant running backs I like, and there's still five or six wide receivers in that tier I like, so I'm going to move to the running back position. I think tier-based drafting is another key to that, and I agree with the mock draft analysis as well.

11:04Jason Moore:Yeah, we have a tips and tricks episode coming up soon. There might be more info on that to come.
11:09Mike Wright:All right, we can move on, talk some news.
11:15Jason Moore:news and notes from around the league
11:17Mike Wright:i mean it is it is news that carson beck completed 14 of 18 passes two of the misses were dropped one was an intentional throwaway he was excellent and these weren't just you know dump offs this was down the field this was across the middle it's relevant because we're all sitting here saying you know when is mendoza going to play when is when is carson beck going to take the field how is this going to impact bowers and mcbride if i'm the arizona cardinals and their ex-gm even came out last night and said what we're all thinking which is you know you're going to be one of the worst teams in the league the cardinals are favored in zero games so okay maybe you maybe you outkick your coverage a little bit and you win five you win because what they're projected
12:00Jason Moore:for three and a half is it three i thought it was four and a half it might be four and a half
12:03Mike Wright:oh i mean i mean this is whoa whoa whoa buddy oh it is three and a half the point is this is your goal this season and this is where you've got a rookie head coach you want to win games everybody wants to win games you want to show your team that you're playing the best players i get it but your true agenda this year will be at some point to understand if you have anything in carson back who was the third quarterback drafted in the nfl draft you will want to know if you need to use a high pick on a quarterback or not, which means, look, we'll see what the rest of the preseason looks like. It's one game.
12:35Jason Moore:Let me ask you this.
12:36Mike Wright:But he started in Canton. He's ending in Canton, baby.
12:39Jason Moore:Yeah. Yeah. Max Hall also looked great in preseason once for the Cardinals. Let me ask you this. If this actually moves the needle of Carson Beck to start more games, which I believe it has or will, if you knew that Carson Beck was starting 75 % of the season, or let's just say all the entire season what you just said recently that you are Trey McBride over Brock Bowers would that flip it for you would that be a negative for Trey McBride that the rookie will start the whole season because he won't be as good as it will it would flip it for me yeah because
13:14Mike Wright:I just don't think the touchdown totals are going to be anywhere near what Jacoby Reset was able to do and we just talked about McBride one of the the keys to his dominance was 11 touchdowns double digit touchdowns with a rookie I find to be somewhat unrealistic Bauer still is going to have his challenges at some point in time but at least it's the number one overall pick it's exciting
13:34Andy Holloway:but it was the hall of fame game yeah where this is just this is an audition for guys who may not even get more chances in preseason I love one of the burying the lead on the hall of fame game by the way are we I can't believe he's king nope oh that would you tell me what the lead is yeah uh you don't know what it is i thought it was carsten hey chand oh yeah yeah
14:05Andy Holloway:you're laughing at yourself no no no no i am not i am laughing upon the we've taken a lot of heat and it's not just like hey guys it's confusing it's it is a barrage of insults people like i'm I'm never listening to this show again unless you start calling him ETN. It's like, dude, chill out. We're trying to figure out what the right thing is to respect this man.
14:28Jason Moore:Yeah, we want to call him ETN. It would be so much easier. Because A-Chan is the name of another player at the same position.
14:35Mike Wright:But last night. That's all I'm saying. Last night, Carolina at the running back position, his brother, Trevor A-Chan, is what they said on the broadcast. That's what they want to be called.
14:45Andy Holloway:At least with Travis, we get a junior on it, and we can make it easier for everyone.
14:49Mike Wright:I'm trying to get Rumbelaya going.
14:51Jason Moore:I'm doing my best, but we're not going to call him the wrong name. Yeah, it does look like the broadcast teams will be calling Travis and Trevor A-Chan.
15:00Andy Holloway:And it will be okay. We will get six weeks into the season and everything will be just fine.
15:05Mike Wright:We'll be used to it.
15:06Andy Holloway:Yeah.
15:07Mike Wright:We'll be bemoaning Travis A-Chan Jr.
15:10Andy Holloway:not catching our passes. And that's what feels bad. Because we were trying to respect it. I'm just saying, the vitriol, which was so weird. Well, I mean, yeah.
15:21Mike Wright:In your face. Oh, okay, Mike. All right. Let's keep him on our team. Jameer Gibbs, three-year,$67 million extension. Set it on yesterday's show. It was a matter of moments, and it happened. And he gets, what, 500K more than?
15:34Andy Holloway:Yeah, he got slightly. Than Bichon? That's what we said. It's like, do you want to be the first? Because if you're the first, you set the line, and then the next guy's going to go give me just a little bit more than that.
15:45Mike Wright:The two should have gotten together and been like, all right, whoever signs it first will split the difference between what I get above. Like a chop pot? Get them both done like a chop pot. Jalen Knoll coming off the NFI list. Jalen Knoll's got an uphill climb. You've got Tank Dell and Jaden Higgins and Xavier Hutchinson. Jalen Knoll's probably not going to be relevant.
16:06Jason Moore:Jaden Higgins has been getting a lot of positive buzz in camp. It's a name to pay attention to with Christian Kirk gone. You're a wide receiver for the Texans.
16:15Mike Wright:I did watch this. We're talking about Alec Pierce. and the return from left ankle surgery. I watched, like it's being reported that Shane Steichen says there's no timetable. I watched the press conference. It was, this is getting blown out of proportion, in my opinion, because all they did was say, is there any update to the timetable? And he said, no, no update. He's doing great. He's working out. He's doing a hell of a job in his rehab process. And you wouldn't even believe he said he's excited.
16:44Jason Moore:So then this is great reporting for you, Andy, because you're in on Alec Pierce this year. I mean, this is not great.
16:50Mike Wright:I'd rather have him give a timetable that says tomorrow.
16:52Jason Moore:I'm saying great because this will push his ADP down. People will be more and more afraid, and if you're watching past the headline and you see that it's really no different than what we already knew was happening. That's how I'm interpreting it.
17:04Mike Wright:Now, I don't like that. I mean, it's just a weird situation when you have, and we've had this before. I mean, Godwin. Godwin is a perfect example of this. Godwin had a major injury, then signed a major contract extension, then had to come back from injury. Alec Pierce, just to be under, wasn't that good. Just so you understand, he was paid like 86 million guaranteed. He's 27, 28 million a year as a wide receiver. That is, and then they said goodbye, Michael Pittman. So that's their level of belief. Now they can't control outcomes of rehabbing and surgery and things like that or setbacks if those happen.
17:40Mike Wright:All this to say it's August 7th. We are a month, we're more than a month away from the kickoff of the NFL season. and even further from the Sunday in which the Colts play, I'm not going to panic today. But if in three weeks from now, Alec Pierce has not been running around at training camp, I will then be worried. But I'm giving it a three-week timer right now because he's the bona fide guaranteed number one of this wide receiver room.
18:07Jason Moore:Now, don't you think that if he gets back for the first time in three weeks, that he will be starting slow?
18:13Mike Wright:I don't know. I don't know if he'll be starting slow because you're still going to have almost two weeks to get back into shape. We'll see. I mean, you want to go two weeks? Yeah, I do. I do. I think you need at least a two-week ramp up. Yeah, yeah, that's fine. Jalen Waddle, a strain. Will return in four to five days. He's fine.
18:32Jason Moore:He's used to this every game.
18:33Mike Wright:Walking with a limp. That is the waddle walk. I mean, that is what he does.
18:37Andy Holloway:How do they not say he was walking with a waddle?
18:41Jason Moore:Yeah, they said walking with a limp. They didn't say he was waddling around, which he was.
18:46Mike Wright:Wouldn't you be waddling with a limp? At the very least, yeah, that's fine.
18:50Jason Moore:He's waddling with a waddle.
18:53Mike Wright:Romeo Dobbs did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday. They think it's not serious.
18:58Andy Holloway:Yeah, that doesn't sound serious. The Patriots wide receiver room is fascinating if you've been following what's going on with the training camp because the offseason was Kayshaun Booty, who was a very solid player for them, a deep threat last year, he felt like the odd man out. Like he was.
19:16Mike Wright:Well, I mean, he didn't just feel like it. He requested a trade. He continues to.
19:19Andy Holloway:He's asking for one now. He was not showing up to some voluntary stuff and the talks of a trade. But all the reporting is like, Kayshawn Booty is one of the best wide receivers for the Patriots this entire training camp process. So it's like, who is actually going to be playing for this? Because you're.
19:43Mike Wright:Demario Douglas is going to get a lot of snaps because Diggs was short area targets and Douglas has been playing.
19:48Andy Holloway:Because you have A.J. Brown's a lock. Romeo Dobbs would be insane if you gave him that amount of money and then he's not your two. So then it's the three. Well then, but should you put, are you putting Dobbs in the slot then and putting Booty on the outside? Because you have Douglas who is a great slot player. Well, and Booty's requested a trade, right?
20:07Jason Moore:Because it feels like he doesn't have a real opportunity. A lot of people have assumed he would be traded. I'm surprised he's still a Patriot. Maybe they're waiting for a higher price. But there's some teams out there that could – you're telling me the Chiefs aren't better with booty? Sure. But, yeah, well – We're all better with booty. Yeah, Kayshawn.
20:26Mike Wright:Booty. Yeah, I mean, Demario Douglas, I mean, he only played – I mean, Pop Douglas played like 27 % of snaps last year. And his reports in the preseason have been great, but he's a limited player. It's mysterious what's going on up there. and you've got Matt Collins. Don't forget about the barefoot merchant. Dude, Matt Collins rules. Alright, we'll take a break here and we're going to jump into wide receiver rankings. It should be fun. We've got a couple shows for wide receivers. Countdown 20 through 11.

22:02Jason Moore:Wide receivers.
22:05Mike Wright:It should be said in the context of the Alec Pierce news with a team that's lost Michael Pittman. Jason's already talked a lot about Tyler Warren, but if Alec Pierce is limited, if it takes some time to get going, it's all the more reason to spend an early pick on Josh Downs and give him a shot because somebody has to catch the ball there. He's going to get more opportunities. Whether he's going to be good enough on the outside is TBD, but he's still going to be on the field. and behind him it's Ashton Doolin, which has been the case for a while, which, you know, that's part of the reason I'm not sure about downs being great on the outside.
22:40Mike Wright:It's like, why weren't you taking snaps from him before? But you had Pittman in the slot. So, yeah. Wide receiver rankings countdown. Let's do it. Here's some numbers for you. What makes a wide receiver two? We're looking at 20 through 11 today. Over the last decade, among 110 wide receivers finishing in this range, 84 % of them averaged seven or more targets per game. I mean, seven or more is a big number. 77 % had 1 ,000 or more receiving yards. And 75 % had six or more receiving touchdowns. When did we switch to 17 games, by the way? Can we officially remember that date?
23:17Jason Moore:No, we cannot officially remember that date. No one. But in a 17-game season, seven targets a game would be 119 targets. 2021. 21.
23:27Mike Wright:Okay, so we've had half a decade. I just think it's funny when you're like 77 % have had 1 ,000 or more receiving yards, but you got an extra game for half of them. So an extra opportunity to do it. Those thresholds, nobody's adjusted properly.
23:42Andy Holloway:Yeah, but numbers are...
23:43Mike Wright:I mean, when it gets to 18, are you just going to keep saying he's 1 ,000-yard receiver? Sure, we haven't done that. Two bonus games?
23:47Andy Holloway:But also production has been down. We've talked about that globally.
23:52Mike Wright:T. Higgins comes in at number 20, guys. that feels like a real floor situation for Tee Higgins and we all have him ranked there I think just because we like the upside of a lot of other players I mean a classic situation Jason
24:07Jason Moore:you and I have him higher than Mike yeah look we we love Tee Higgins here you and I do yeah is being drafted as the wide receiver 14 that's fine so you why are we all below ADP Why are we all below ADP? I think the reason we're below ADP is because where T. Higgins scores his fantasy points in recent memory is touchdowns. He was on pace for 12.5 touchdowns, and he can absolutely 100 % replicate that. But we can't project him for 12.5 touchdowns. I have him projected for nine touchdowns. I have him at 8.2. Yeah, and so when you do that, when you project kind of a good median outcome, it's going to hurt him whenever there's a guy who is really touchdown heavy on where the fantasy points come from.
24:58Jason Moore:They'll usually be a little lower in linear rankings.
25:02Mike Wright:21 receiving touchdowns over the last two years. Yeah, only Chase, Amon, Ron Adams have more than that. Wow.
25:08Jason Moore:It's just touchdowns aren't a sticky stat. But they are for a few people.
25:14Mike Wright:you always have an injury concern with T Higgins. No question. It's been a problem. Anytime a player has a narrative that involves him running up a hill at practice, you know, injuries have been part of his story. Yeah.
25:27Jason Moore:I mean, this is also when I look actual information. Yeah. When I look at last year, I'm like, thank goodness. We finally got a full season out of T Higgins. He still missed two games and was injured, but it feels great. Like that's a full season. That's a full season. 15 games is a full season for T Higgins. If you tell me T.
25:44Mike Wright:Higgins gets 1 ,000 yards, I'll be like, wow. Yeah, because per game, in 12 games, he got 1 ,000? I mean, they're in some of the highest over-under games of the season. I mean, the Bengals' average, I think, line is like 49. Yes. So, again, this comes down to there's two factors for T. Higgins. One is that his quarterback's healthy, and that's not always been the case. And the other is that Higgins is healthy, and that's not always been the case. If both of those are true, the way they pass the football, I mean, T. Higgins is really, this is the floor for him.
26:17Jason Moore:This is the floor as far as our ranking of 20. He's being drafted at wide receiver 14. I don't have any problem with that. Take your shots on T. Higgins because to me.
26:25Mike Wright:He can finish as high as the wide receiver. Six. I was going to say like 10.
26:31Jason Moore:I think he can easily be top 10. I mean, you also have the built-in obvious. Yeah, you do have that. If the injury happens to Jamar Chase.
26:38Mike Wright:What's his highest fantasy finish ever?
26:41Jason Moore:I'm just curious. Per game? No, no, no.
26:44Mike Wright:I believe it's 17. Okay. So, yeah, that's where six seems a little.
26:50Jason Moore:Yeah, I mean, that is under the. That's like if Jamar Chase gets injured and he ends up with 12 touchdowns.
26:55Andy Holloway:In 2024, he was 15 and a half points per game. Right. 15 and a half points per game would be probably higher than. Well, in 12 games. So that was good enough for the wide receiver 19. saying if you're at 15.5 and you play 15 games, also notice that we're calling it the full season for T. Higgins, you're going to be a top 10 guy.
27:16Mike Wright:This is year seven for T. Higgins.
27:18Jason Moore:Yeah, 15.5 would have been wide receiver five last year. George Pickens, for context, was 14.4 last year.
27:25Mike Wright:It's kind of chicken egg, though, right? Because if you don't play enough games, you also don't have as many games that you can have a down game or anything like that.
27:31Jason Moore:Yeah, for sure. The thing is, is this year and every year you want to target certain teams. I want to target the Cowboys, the Bengals, and the Lions. I want as many pieces from those teams as I can get. And the Rams. Yeah, the Rams too. That's fine. Those don't feel like debatable picks, you're saying? Well, yeah. The Rams were the top-scoring team in the league last year. For sure. My issue with the Rams is simply that you've got the question at the running back position. Most people do. Well, there is a question. There is a question. I have the answer, but there is a question. But the age of Devontae Adams and whether or not he's still got it.
28:10Jason Moore:And assuming Aaron Donald is back, I think that defense is –
28:13Mike Wright:I don't doubt their offense, though, man. I don't doubt their offense.
28:16Jason Moore:I think they'll be the top-scoring offense again. I do not. I don't think – because that's why I put the Lions, the Bengals, and the Cowboys in another tier is because of their defense. All of those offenses are outrageously good. but when when one team breaks fantasy it's usually coinciding with i gotta score 35 points a game
28:34Mike Wright:okay tett mcmillan comes in at 19 23 years old mike is the highest on tett mcmillan i have no idea what happened here i i just like well what one the reason that you don't know what happened is because at one point months ago i was very very high on tettero mcmillan it would it he was in my
28:51Andy Holloway:months ago it was i was the one who was kind of scared of mcmillan and the two of you guys felt real strong you made great arguments mike i apparently you over corrected i have the correct
29:05Mike Wright:ranking at 15 oh i went too far yeah yeah i should have gone with the correct ranking
29:09Jason Moore:put him at 15 i don't do that ted aroa is awesome he's a great player if he were in a different situation he could finish as you know a top five wide receiver without question the question is can Bryce Young do enough to allow Tadaroa to be a wide receiver one I still believe he can especially with some of the injuries around that team right now the other positions are going down Jadavian Sanders has gone gone down um someone else just went down to an injury well they're the rookie the second round rookie will not be playing this year yes that's that's what it was and so um i i like tet a lot i just think he his ceiling is a little bit hamstrung by bryce young
29:56Mike Wright:i mean you you look at last year and there's some things that were true about tetra mcmillan he's the offensive player of the year as a rookie right offensive rookie of the year he had over a thousand yards and he had seven touchdowns if we like that thousand yard number so you had a season where he He scored seven times and had over 1 ,000 yards. He finishes at wide receiver 17, and more importantly for your fantasy team, he only had two weeks where he was inside the top 12 of the position, and one of them was 12 on the dot. So you look at that situation and you say, you know, I think the T. Higgins v.
30:26Mike Wright:Tett McMillan is an incredible decision because on one hand, you have the clear bona fide guarantee number one of a team, and the other you have obviously number two of the offense, but a huge difference at total yardage output. I like Carolina to, you know, I think Bryce Young can take a step forward. I've made that argument before. But I think that Jason's right. It'll be a little step, though. It will be a tiny step. And mind you, man, when he was on the sideline last night without.
30:56Jason Moore:Yeah, no pads. He looked tiny. Without the pads.
30:58Mike Wright:That was the water boy.
30:59Jason Moore:He just, because he's a small guy. Yeah, he's just not a small. He's like Kyler. The upside case for him is Drake London. there are similar players similar situations where the target market share should be enormous and they don't have good quarterbacks you're not expecting a great offense that being said I can he get to 1210 no I mean it doesn't seem like a far cry from last year that would put him in that contention yeah I think he could but that would that I mean more touchdowns 150 more
31:26Andy Holloway:yards 10 touchdowns it's Bryce Young who in his career we're going into year four so as a rookie just under 2 ,900 passing yards at 5.5 yards per attempt. The next year, 2 ,400 at 6.3. This past year, his best season just barely passes 3 ,000 yards at 6.3 yards per attempt and 23 passing touchdowns. McMillan last year was 25 % of the targets. He has to jump to 30-plus. Yeah, he needs to be at 30. If you're getting 25 % again of Bryce Young, a big jump for Bryce Young with the numbers that he's put up so far would be 3 ,500 yards which is that's potentially 1 ,500 fewer than Burrow with T. Higgins but if Bryce Young gets to 3 ,500 and McMillan makes a jump to 30 % which is not impossible based on the talent of the player then you'll be happy it's just a big step has to happen for both players
32:31Mike Wright:Yeah, he's a great player, but he may be stuck a little bit. And Bryce Young, 34th in average depth of target, 34th. And in seven games, Tett was three or fewer receptions. So if you combine that kind of an output at low depth of target, that would be scary.
32:47Jason Moore:Yeah, Xavier Leggett was the other guy I was thinking that went down to injury. So I agree you need to get to 30%. We all love the talent of Tett. It's just a question of would you rather have the second wide receiver for the Cowboys, for the Bengals, for great offenses that you know there's just going to be so much points being scored or would you rather have the number one for an inferior offense? I lean the great offense side.
33:10Andy Holloway:Like last year, T. Higgins got his final numbers, 59 for 846 and 11 with a 19 % target share.
33:20Mike Wright:Yeah.
33:22Andy Holloway:And then McMillan's at 25, barely passing 1 ,000. So room for T Higgins to be even more involved is, is certainly there.
33:31Mike Wright:Devante Smith comes in at number 18. I got him at 19. Jason at 16. Mike at 18. So we're all right around the same range being drafted, being drafted at wide receiver 17 in the fourth round.
33:44Jason Moore:It's going to keep going up.
33:45Mike Wright:Is it? Yeah. If you look at,
33:47Jason Moore:if you look where money is, if you look at the big money leagues, if you look at, I assume underdog and best ball as well, Kyle looked that up but I know like the big money leagues he's usually he's going as a top 12 yeah he's usually around wide receiver 12 or 13 and and we've seen it obviously he's finished as a wide receiver 7 before we've talked a lot about oh I was wrong wide receiver 13 well okay wide receiver well that's on underdog yeah um so I do think he gets drafted a little higher this feels I was surprised that my ranking my actual statistical ranking is 16 where did where did you said he finished at seven i see him at 10 oh is that sorry yeah he's finished his wide
34:25Mike Wright:receiver 10 in 2022 i mean he feels like an obvious easy pick and a very this again feels like a floor pick in terms of like the worst he's going to finish i would say if makai lemon wasn't dealing with hamstring injuries again maybe makai lemon excitement heading towards the season could keep his adp in place i i think that the the trouble is is that in this top 20 range there are a lot of names that are kind of exciting and we've been around the block with Devontae Smith a little bit there's pessimism around the offense I'm just trying to think of narratives that could keep him lower but to me it seems like one of those things where you you might if you pass on him here or you pass on him even a little bit higher you may just really really regret it because it might be really obvious about six weeks into the year that this guy is a bona fide wide receiver one in fantasy I think it is worth and they're favored in the four of their
35:15Jason Moore:first six yeah I think it's worth saying Devontae Smith because I he's he has been a wide receiver two in the NFL for his own team but Devontae Smith is fully 100 % without question in my mind capable of being an alpha wide receiver one for an NFL team he is an elite wide receiver he came in as one of the best prospects ever if he was just if he weighed a few more pounds you know He was a little too light coming into the NFL, but when he came in, he was one of the best prospects statistically. He just was 170 pounds. That doesn't usually work, but he is so good as an actual wide receiver that he's overcome that, and I don't think that there's any fear there personally with whether he can step from the wide receiver two role to the wide receiver one.
36:07Mike Wright:The Eagles have done a really good job of just taking people other teams have talked themselves out of for dumb reasons. with Jalen Carter, now the highest paid defensive player in football or whatever, and Devontae Smith, they just get the Heisman winner.
36:21Jason Moore:I mean, they took him with the 10th pick overall. It's been a minute.
36:25Mike Wright:And the smaller wide receiver archetype has been working more and more. Speaking of which, number 17, Zay Flowers. Zay Flowers at 17. What is happening? I knew you were going to... What is happening? I was really hoping you didn't see that.
36:40Jason Moore:Stop copying me. Oh, man. What is happening? I didn't know that I was. I'm out of here, dude. Mike hates Zay Flowers. Why do you hate Zay Flowers? You're the lowest amongst us. You have him as wide receiver 20. Ouch. We've got him higher than that. What are you doing here, Mike? I thought you were a fan.
36:58Andy Holloway:I thought he thought Zay was like a good player. You guys saw what happened last year for my rankings, and you're like, I need in on Mike's advice.
37:07Mike Wright:Last year's wide receiver 7. Gosh darn it. I'm moving him up right now.
37:10Andy Holloway:I'm just throwing numbers in.
37:12Mike Wright:Got that bag. I don't even care if I believe him. 104 guaranteed. Zay Flowers comes in at 17. Have you guys been reading about Lamar's relationship with Harbaugh and Monkin and stuff like that? There we go.
37:30Andy Holloway:Wide receiver 14.
37:31Mike Wright:Okay.
37:31Andy Holloway:Well, that happened quick. I gave him a touchdown. Okay.
37:36Jason Moore:Which is a big deal for him.
37:39Andy Holloway:he's not really known for getting those i'm i'm not out of control i have him at uh
37:45Mike Wright:a projection of 6.7 well he's only at 14 over the last three years and you've heard my my bear case on zay flowers before there are there are lots of games and this is kind of a baltimore thing yeah you put that bear to hibernation um there are there are a lot of games where um where they've not needed him i mean this has been part of the the career of Zay Flowers. For whatever reason, there are games that Zay Flowers looks dominant. And then there are games where, I mean, you had games last year, two for 13. Okay. That's the wide receiver 89. Two for six on 95 % of snaps. So there's some elements to the game for Zay Flowers where he's just at times disappeared over the years.
38:27Mike Wright:Same thing happened the year before. And it was really frustrating because you basically ping pong between disappearing acts, three points, 1.15, 17. 3 points, 15.27. 5 points. It's not been as consistent for Zay Flowers as other players, but last year it was a step up in his points per game. He played all 17 games. He's been very healthy. Something you can't say about T. Higgins. I do have my questions about, I feel like Lamar, the Lamar situation is basically, does he gel with the head coach and the offensive coordinator? And it seems like it's been hard for certain people to connect with him and get him motivated.
39:03Mike Wright:The reports right now are that he is, but that was lost at times with Harbaugh.
39:08Jason Moore:Yeah, this was the undersized wide receiver that I remembered finished as wide receiver 7, which was last year. Right. Flowers, one of the stickiest, most predictive stats at wide receiver for future success is simply target share. Yep. That actually sticks around and has a high correlation with being good the following season. His target share in his career has gone up each of his three seasons, started at a very healthy 24, then 25 last year, 29%.
39:38Mike Wright:What about the$104 million they gave him this offseason? What does that say to his target share? It's amazing.
39:43Jason Moore:If Zay Flowers was a guy who was used around the red zone and was a touchdown threat, this would be a guy easily in the second round of fantasy drafts because you know he's on a good offense. he's the clear-cut one with a high enough target share the touchdowns are really really holding him back now you don't project I mean Mike does Mike projects you know yeah 6.7 touchdowns might be a record you don't that would be his record I'm sure without looking that up I'm positive that would be his record you you don't project him to have a ton of touchdowns and I think could he have an outlier season sure but that would be low odds however this is an archetype that is usually a really good fantasy football odds bet.
40:28Jason Moore:Bet on a guy whose target volume is great, on a great offense, and touchdowns. It's only gone up. Touchdowns, they bounce around. If he ends up with seven touchdowns next year, he'll be probably a wide receiver of one. And he's being drafted pretty late, so I like taking a shot on Zay.
40:50Andy Holloway:Zay Flowers, number one, the talent, he's awesome. This is a new offense. Yeah, we don't know what the – I think that that's what provides some excitement of – we can look back historically over the first three years, five, four, and five touchdowns. This is different. There is an opportunity. There's a chance that Zay Flowers scores more touchdowns. And this is like –
41:14Mike Wright:Not when Jacoby Lane's taking him.
41:15Andy Holloway:This is a stretch, but it's just to prove my point. Remember when Trey McBride couldn't catch touchdowns? Yep. Three touchdowns sophomore year, two touchdowns the year after that, 11. I'm not saying 11 touchdowns are coming for Zay Flowers, but it's when a variable changes, which one changed for Trey McBride last year, Jacoby came in. This is a different offense for Lamar. He's just a little. He's just a little guy. Yeah, but he plays big.
41:51Mike Wright:All right, Jalen Waddle comes in at 16. We've talked extensively about Waddle recently. He was on the Monday episode. He was Mike's fire pick. It's hard for me to be fully bought in on Jalen Waddle as much as I'd like to be simply because it's been a struggle fantasy-wise over the last three seasons for Jalen Waddle. But I don't think on a per-play basis when you're watching him, you're like, oh, that guy doesn't have the same juice, the same wiggle. But the fantasy production has been slowed, and it's not like we didn't have confidence in his offensive coordinator the last three years. So part of it's been slowed by his injury situation, which is – Daily.
42:28Mike Wright:Yeah, I was just saying, it's not a great thing that when we bring him up on the show, he's already hurt. It's not a great thing that the only way that you give good numbers for Jalen Waddell is to be like, when he was healthy, and when Tua was healthy and when this happens and that happens.
42:42Jason Moore:When everything goes right, things are good.
42:45Andy Holloway:But I am excited about – That's not everything. Just health. I don't know. The health bet is tough.
42:51Mike Wright:Yeah, but yeah. Okay. I mean, the points per game, his first and second season were his best and we're three more years removed from it. So it's a little bit of caution. But look, we got him at 16 for a reason.
43:01Jason Moore:Well, Mike's got him lowest.
43:02Mike Wright:Yeah, Mike does have him lowest. What is happening?
43:04Jason Moore:I don't know, man. You know you control your rankings. Who do I have ranked high? You know who you should talk to? You sound like the head coach that's like, I've got to get the ball to my running back more. And you always yell at them like, you know, you are the one that we're all trying to figure out who did this. I am trying to figure out. You're in a hot dog suit right now, my man.
43:20Mike Wright:That's fine. I'm delicious. I'm trying to figure out what other weird names he's got.
43:25Jason Moore:That's what I don't know. Higher than these guys that me and you obviously like. Yeah. Wait till the next episode. The top 10 is going to be wild. He's going to be crazy.
43:34Mike Wright:Jack Besh. Yes. No, but look, Waddle, we talked a lot about him on Monday. You know the story on Waddle, but we got him at 16. We'll take a break, and we'll come back with the next five names.
43:49Mike Wright:What's up, Foot Clan? You are confident and disciplined and focused on details, just like everyone here at the Fancy Footballers, right? Those are words you'd use to describe us. 45:11Mike Wright:I'm in the midst of multiple leagues right now where I am responding to trade offers. We are massaging the trade offer. We want to make sure that I'm the one that gets the player, not another player manager in our league. So trade offers when you're on the go, all the news that's breaking so you don't make a mistake. Fastest is based on analysis by Ookla of speed test intelligence data of national speed score results for the second half of 2025. The best mobile network in the U.S. is based on analysis by Ookla of speed test intelligence data second half of 2025 no one's in my top 20 i am there's just no one there i start at 14 ameka abuka is at 15 and unsurprisingly mike is the lowest on ameka now when i stand by i've got him at 11 so that that's where i'm i'm definitely bullish yeah i mean on the monday episode it was abuka as the fire pick so mike's fire pick jan lwaddle my fire pick ameka abuka I just think this offense is going to run through him.
46:44Mike Wright:He's playing the Z position. I love Baker. I love the line situation. And I don't, you know, I just don't see anybody that's going to take away his target share. There's a bunch of ancillary players that are talented. Godwin at this juncture of his career, talented possession receiver. McMillan, you know, Tess Johnson, Ted Hurst, are all, they're all talented. but it's going to be my ranks you have no one ranked in your top 50 no i i love a book i made the case on monday so maybe maybe jason where are you at because you're kind of between our rankings
47:23Jason Moore:um i am a believer in the talent he was a my guy going into last year uh the the departure of mike evans in the off season versus an injury in season allows them to put a buka where he's going to succeed the offensive line injuries although I did see Tristan Wirfs was injured right now which is like that's a that is a really big deal for this offense um this this is a great player I think the offense should be good the injuries to him and Baker last year you know you had a tale of two halves and which half is the truth I think both had some truth the the but he's good so I I mean I've got him right in the middle um at wide receiver 15 I I think that's right well where he'll finish as a high-end wide receiver to the question's just going to be draft price are you paying that or not currently it looks like he's being drafted as wide receiver 19 so I'm I'm
48:17Andy Holloway:in on taking the shot yeah the I don't have a problem with it like the upside is tremendous I do think Godwin has more left uh in the tank I you're speaking of rinks I have Godwin ranked much higher than you guys. He's not a top 20 type of player but I'm just, I'm not 100 % sure that it's like the Abuka takeover is what the outcome of this year is for the Bucs.
48:43Mike Wright:At number 14, it is the tried and true Garrett Wilson. Points per game in his career, 10.2, 9.7, 11.8, 11.6. Kind of always just, he just always is there when the team has the capability of getting him the football. He's been a target share machine, averaging 28%. You know, what could go wrong for Garrett Wilson? What can't go wrong? I mean, he's 26 years old at this point. Geno Smith is throwing him the football.
49:16Andy Holloway:And it is difficult to remember. Garrett Wilson was dominating for fantasy football last year. Before he was injured, he was the wide receiver five. It was a little, like, there was some garbage time stinkiness built into it, but it was just, this is a reminder of how good he can be. And it wasn't, like, he ran hot with touchdowns, but he was also, you know, in his, so he was pretty much healthy for five weeks. But in those weeks, he was averaging over 76 receiving yards per game, almost 10 targets in that time. So he just, he is a truly elite player.
49:55Mike Wright:can he score double digit touchdowns in new york mike can he um no four three seven four obviously missed a bunch of time last year that's a big question for top 10 potential i think he can
50:09Jason Moore:get to 10 he's good around the goal line and if i mean it's not it's not impossible that he gets 10 11 total red zone touchdowns in four years. That's. But the nice thing is the team environment is, is significantly different. I want to remind people last year, this version, last year's version of the jets through as a team for 2 ,385 yards, which is unimaginably bad. They've made significant improvements to the offensive line. They got a passing quarterback instead of a mobile quarterback in for this season. And, you know, Garrett Wilson is healthy. For where he's being drafted, I'm all in. I think this is a guy who's guaranteed at least 140 targets, but he could end up with 170 targets.
51:02Jason Moore:Psst. Yeah.
51:03Mike Wright:Mike's the lowest on him.
51:05Jason Moore:Yeah. This is incredible.
51:07Mike Wright:How can he be the lowest on all the players? It makes no sense.
51:10Andy Holloway:I don't know. I'm looking at the full rankings where it's the three of us.
51:14Mike Wright:All right, we finally have one.
51:15Andy Holloway:I want to find out that Kyle's just goofing.
51:17Mike Wright:No, I mean, look, we finally have someone he's higher on. I'm the lowest on this guy. Number 13, Rashi Rice. Mike has him at 13. Jason at 11. I'm at 16. We talked about this briefly, I think, yesterday. I am cooling a little bit on Rashi Rice. I don't think he's a guaranteed wide receiver one. I do think he's a pretty guaranteed wide receiver two. but this is one of the offenses we talked about this the Giants scored seven more touchdowns in this team last year and there were a lot of third down saves with Patrick Mahomes running the football now I've seen design runs in camp already from Patrick Mahomes he is seven months removed from that injury and looks fine yeah but at the same time you do need to manage that it's different
52:05Jason Moore:when the when the people are actually hitting yeah when you can take a shot to the knee um Yeah, I mean, so I've got him the highest at 11. Obviously, on a points-per-game basis, he's way better than that in his career. Through three years in the NFL, he's been targeted on 30 % of his routes. So only Puka and Malik Nabors are higher than that. This is like the first read, the design play, the get-the-ball-in-the-hands, yards-after-catch guy who has always been good. I did move him down recently to 11. He was higher than that solely because of I'm a little worried with the ramp up from the knee injury.
52:44Jason Moore:Some of the videos look like he's not. He doesn't have that burst back yet, but we've got another month, and it's hard to rehab in jail. So I imagine. Haven't been there. You said that like a man who knows what he's talking about. I apologize. For full clarity, I have not yet been to jail. What about rehabbed in jail? I promise. Should I go to jail? I will not rehab.
53:05Mike Wright:What about that as a cool gym idea? It's like the prison gym. Oh, it's the prison gym, the prison yard. Yeah, the prison yard is the name of it. And you got to like...
53:15Jason Moore:A lot of times people come out of prison jacked. So maybe that's a good branding.
53:19Andy Holloway:It's just in a parking lot.
53:21Mike Wright:Right.
53:21Andy Holloway:And there's like...
53:22Mike Wright:Oh, there's a chain link fence? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's all outdoors? Yeah, well, I've got to lean into the bit. Yeah, that you burn out there. And then people just... And they don't let you out until you lose weight. Right, and then they just punch you in the face as you're leaving. Like lose 20 pounds or you stay.
53:36Jason Moore:Yeah. And every like 15th time there, someone gets jumped. Janked. Someone gets jumped. So you got to be in shape. You got to be in shape.
53:45Mike Wright:So just pretty much all the tenants in prison. Yeah.
53:47Jason Moore:And then you can't. And they don't let you leave. But you pay. You pay monthly to be there. Yeah.
53:54Mike Wright:In cigarettes. Try getting out of that subscription. Impossible. Impossible. Okay. So moving on.
54:02Jason Moore:If he's healthy, which we'll have better clarity as we get closer to the season, it is worth remembering how good he has been on the field for fantasy football. He's been a dominator. Even though it is a product of a system, he's not just your prototypical great Justin Jefferson, what an amazing wide receiver. He has been great for fantasy.
54:25Mike Wright:The wild thing is it's like I know Cyrus Allen is getting like a week and a half of pub as a rookie. Yeah. But the thing about the Chiefs is that the reason that that can stick a little bit is you look at the receiver room and you're like, put these guys in order. Like, Rashi's obviously at the top. Then you're talking, is it Thornton? I mean, there's room for a player like Cyrus Allen to come in and have an impact if your tight end is 37 and your starting wide receiver is coming out of jail slash injury. There is room. And so if Rashi is healthy, there should be target share.
54:58Andy Holloway:They really are going in on Mahomes. All the improvements of the team were just, we're like, we're going to make our defense the best our defense can possibly be. You're like, well, what about an offensive weapon?
55:14Mike Wright:Candace Walker, baby. Yeah. Look. I'm sure I'm higher than you on him. I mean, that's all I know. That is not possible. Oh, we're checking that. We're checking that. There is no way. I'm pretty sure. I have him at two. No, I'm just kidding. You win. You win. I got him at eight, Mike. Where do you have him? You got to have him. Six. Okay, we did it. Malik Neighbors at 12, guys.
55:32Andy Holloway:I was going to say I'll eat my hat, but then I got worried about eating my hat. Right.
55:36Mike Wright:You might have had to. Malik Neighbors. Mike, you're the highest on Malik Neighbors. Yeah, yeah, there we go. I am not as convinced as you do. The man coming off a destroyed knee. I feel like we spent months and months and months talking about how it might be a slow start for Malik Neighbors, and then you guys saw one route and both jacked him up your rankings. I am slower to come around on Malik neighbors because I think, you know, these rankings are based on total season stats. The reports out of Giants camp is the offense has not looked good. We did get a report this morning, maybe worth mentioning Malachi Fields, maybe in play for the wide receiver two spot.
56:11Mike Wright:But, you know, this is going to be an offense where Jackson Dart is going to have to adjust to being under center more. I don't know if it's going to play to his strengths as much, but I'm also the lowest, I think, on Jackson Dart of the three of us. So we all know the potential of Malik Neighbors is Jamar Chase-Levels. So you guys might think 11 and 12 is tempering your expectations.
56:32Jason Moore:It is. It very much is. I think he gets off to a slow start statistically. Thankfully, the matchups in the beginning of the year, three of his first four weeks is Dallas, Tennessee, and Arizona. So, you know, you might be able to just find a broken piece of coverage and house something while you're trying to get to your true explosive self. But, yeah, I mean, this is a guy where I think if he wasn't coming off of an ACL, he'd be top five. You'd be picking him at the top five of the position.
57:02Andy Holloway:He's easily a first-round wide receiver.
57:03Jason Moore:Yeah, so.
57:04Mike Wright:Just a couple guys that like Matt Nagy over here.
57:06Jason Moore:That is my – so I love –
57:08Andy Holloway:Kyle is saying even the beat reporters are poo-pooing Matt Nagy. The Giants offensive reports. I wonder why.
57:15Jason Moore:He sucks. I want to be so in on Jackson Dart. I want to like. Brother. You are moving. Matt Nagy is the reason.
57:24Mike Wright:If it isn't Cliff Kingsbury.
57:25Jason Moore:Oh, dude. Matt Nagy is. He is not good at his very high paying job.
57:33Mike Wright:Well, don't worry. Jackson Dart and the Giants offense has scuffled early, but John Harbaugh isn't worried. Okay. And because of the speeches he's going to give to get him motivated. And he. the Harbaugh's are having a tough offseason by the way between the with the talking with the talking with the mouths between the uninspiring speech by John and the incompetent answer by Jim
57:57Jason Moore:it's not incompetent it was it was I left my like my phone flashlight on I don't know where I am it was a full brain reset you know if you haven't seen it look for the clip between him and Colin Calvert
58:13Andy Holloway:Did you hear the window sound?
58:15Jason Moore:Yeah, it was. Yeah, for sure. It was in the middle of talking about how things evolve. That was pretty good, Jay. He was like, how things evolve. Evolvement? Is evolve a word? Is evolvement a word?
58:31Andy Holloway:We were there with the word many.
58:33Mike Wright:Colin Coward's face was so funny.
58:35Jason Moore:Yeah, he didn't know what to do. But anyways, Matt Nagy sucks. Let's not bury the lead here. Matt Nagy is the worst.
58:40Andy Holloway:I just love you are exactly where I was. like a couple months ago of just in the anger stage of the hiring that he gets a job. Because I was so – my chips were all in on Dart and the offense of the Giants, and then they bring Matt Nagy in, and it really brings it down.
58:58Mike Wright:We got the worst season from Lamar in a while last year, even in his healthy games, under Harbaugh, with an offensive coordinator we like. I do have my fears. This is a tough division to play in. I know that they're the surprise team everybody wants to believe in. I just think I want my eyeballs to see it a little bit. And there's so many great wide receivers to take. Sure. Like the reason Jason traded from elite neighbors in League of Record wasn't for this year. Now, maybe he gets this year. But I think there are a couple teams that I think are a year out. I'm in that camp with the Saints. You guys are all in this year.
59:35Mike Wright:I think I'm a year away from that. I'm a year away from the Giants being that team. Yeah, because they'll have a new O.C. I think they will have a new O.C. Which means that they will struggle this year.
59:45Andy Holloway:The thing for Neighbors that I'm okay with is the price is – right now on Sleeper, he's going in the beginning of the fourth. We did our mock draft. It's just not a true thing. Well, we did our mock draft yesterday, and I got him halfway through the third. And if you know that Malik Neighbors is a target, I started running back, running back. So I knew that that was taken care of. and then I can take Malik Neighbors and I can have enough guys at the wide receiver position to overcome and let it happen. Maybe you don't even play Malik Neighbors week one. That sounds crazy for a third or fourth round pick, but I think that over the course of the second half of the year, if you can tread the water, then things become great.
1:00:34Andy Holloway:Most people are like, you know what I'm going to do with Malik? I'm going to let someone else draft him, and then when they're really struggling, I'm going to go trade for neighbors. I'm sure there's plenty of leagues that will work in, but I think there's also plenty of leagues that you'll get Malik, and then by the end of the year you have a first-round talent fantasy football pick that really takes your team to the next level.
1:00:59Mike Wright:Chris Olave at 11, the last name we're going to talk about today, guys. Got paid this offseason. Jordan Tyson, Tyler Shuck, Travis A. Chan Jr., Juwan Johnson and company, Kellen Moore, trying to get this offense on track after a disappointing year that saw a mix of Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shuck on the back half of it. But throughout the entirety of the year, Chris Olave was a monster.
1:01:22Andy Holloway:And talk about the Flowers touchdowns. Here's touchdowns for Chris Olave. Four, five, one. Yeah, but you didn't have Lamar throwing it to him for those. But I'm saying touchdowns. like but I said the thing with with with Lamar is the variable was the offense changed and McBride was the quarterback changed a one change comes in and you're like oh that player is a thousand yard receiver he should have more touchdowns and Chris Olave got him last year well let me ask you
1:01:52Mike Wright:this real quick because we talked about these guys same draft class same age Olave Garrett Wilson and Dynasty where are you with that question I oh man that's really tough I think
1:02:03Jason Moore:I think I'm on the Garrett Wilson side solely and only again is the concussion thing I'm all the way on the Olave side now I think Olave is a better player I think the quarterback is a better player it's again it is just the concussion worry for me as someone who's had him on my roster and felt at times like I thought you meant you had concussions oh for sure yeah for sure in my past
1:02:25Mike Wright:falling falling off of the swing set fall just falling bars maybe dude I crush monkey bars don't you worry about that oh you don't want me to bring that up mike oh you can i want to know what the public you can bring it up i want you to post a poll right now we have more producers in the office
1:02:39Jason Moore:though we can talk i'll post a poll but i think i could do monkey bars like from one side to the other like no problem i can swing across a monkey bar set how are you confident in your monkey bar
1:02:50Mike Wright:capabilities i'm confident that i could not do that okay i don't understand it's not al realizes as he can't. This has been a debate.
1:02:58Andy Holloway:This is a man who's been humbled by the monkey bars.
1:03:01Mike Wright:Jason is so confident. You're as confident in the monkey bars as landing a 747.
1:03:07Jason Moore:Yeah, with someone in my ear, but yes, I could do either.
1:03:10Andy Holloway:We can even do radio in the ear on the monkey bars. You won't be able to do it.
1:03:14Mike Wright:Now swing to the left.
1:03:17Andy Holloway:It's not just upper body. It's also grip strength.
1:03:21Mike Wright:Matt, you are the size of a child. Of course they're easy for you. You're in your 20s. When's the last time you did monkey bars, Matt?
1:03:27Andy Holloway:it's been a while but I'm pretty confident
1:03:29Mike Wright:I could do them
1:03:30Jason Moore:Josh what do you think about that? I think Matt could probably do it. Jason no way you're right there is no way I couldn't do it. You are correct. No way there are different challenges we can put on the internet
1:03:43Mike Wright:and this is one of them
1:03:44Jason Moore:yeah well I'd crush them. Anyways back to Alave like physically
1:03:55Jason Moore:i just pull them down i get on the monkey bars they just start sinking into the sand
1:04:01Andy Holloway:just quicksand or what you're just standing like this is so easy
1:04:07Mike Wright:yeah just walking across what'd you write down on your board there okay what i wrote down was
1:04:12Jason Moore:so alave had a great season alave finished as the wide receiver six on the course of the season and he was good both with Rattler and with Shuck. However, he was significantly better with Shuck. Here's the splits. With Rattler, he was on pace for 110 receptions, 1 ,000 yards, and six touchdowns. That's good. That's pretty good. That's normal Chris Olave. That's 11.5 fantasy points. But once he got Shuck, and keep in mind, this was rookie Shuck who started slow, the course of all of the starts with Shuck, He would have had a 17-game pace of 102 receptions, 1 ,400 yards, and 12.8 touchdowns, 15.8 fantasy points.
1:04:49Jason Moore:That's easily top five fantasy wide receiver and half point. So it's exciting to get that quarterback in tow, which is why, Andy, I don't blame you for saying you're significantly on the Olave side in the dynasty.
1:05:02Mike Wright:I don't think he's going to – the target share is going to be different this year. You've got to remember last year –
1:05:06Andy Holloway:It was super juiced at the end.
1:05:08Mike Wright:Well, they traded Rashid Shahid, their only other target, halfway through the year. How dare you, Vele. But then Vele got hurt.
1:05:16Andy Holloway:Vele was actually becoming a thing there.
1:05:19Mike Wright:So adding Jordan Tyson, what you hope for is that he stays efficient, scoring touchdowns, the target share stays high, but you are going to need to spread the rock around a little bit. And can Shuck be, you know, you've got to figure out if Shuck is in the 3 ,500 or the 4 ,500-yard category because that makes a huge difference on supporting two wide receivers. Burrow can do it because this is what you just brought up with Caleb Williams. It's like if Caleb Williams, you just said, if he throws for under 4 ,000, you're going to have a problem with the Odunze-Birdon-Loveland combination.
1:05:51Jason Moore:I am more confident that Shuck has more passing yards than Caleb this year. As are the books. Yeah, I mean the books project it that way in Vegas, and it makes sense with the defense, the pace of play, the running game for both teams. I think that the passing volume will be larger. Last year, the usage splits, the target percentages, were the same 30 % the first eight weeks, 30 % the last.
1:06:17Andy Holloway:That's what I was going to ask. Does Olave, with the addition of a top 10 NFL-drafted wide receiver, does Olave stay at 30 %? No, no, he does not.
1:06:26Jason Moore:There's no way he's going to – with Jordan Tyson on the field, I can't put him at a 30 % target share. I have him at a 24.5 % target share this year. Oh, that's a major dip. It is a major dip, but that's still 140 targets. There's going to be a lot of volume on this team.
1:06:40Mike Wright:They also didn't have a running game, and they tried to bring that in this offseason with the signing of Travis H.N. Jr. Well, I don't know if they have a running game still. Well, it's a huge investment by the team. It is. In saying we want to balance this offense out a little bit, so we'll see what happens. But we're going to count down the top 10 wide receivers on the Monday show. We'll move into running back rankings.
1:07:02Jason Moore:Find out who Mike actually likes.
1:07:05Andy Holloway:Yes. I think maybe I just don't like anyone.
1:07:08Mike Wright:I think you're the lowest on all players. That was funny. That was good. All right, we'll be back. It's just not possible. I don't know how it happened. But as I said, say flowers for the win, guys. Goodbye.
