1:49Jason Moore:Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
2:06Mike Wright:Welcome in.
2:16Mike Wright:Tuesday, September 22nd, Mike, the fantasy hitman, Jason Moore. I'm Andy Holloway. Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers. You do know the date? I don't know. You just said it like you were telling me what date it is. You knew the date already? No. You pay attention to that sort of thing? No, I didn't know. I knew it was Tuesday. Yeah, I mean, we don't pay attention to the date. Nope. We know it's waiver day. That's what we know. We're going to talk about waivers. We're going to talk about the fact that Jason and I were facing each other in the listener league. Oh, you did. And he needed. I'm going to write it.
2:48Mike Wright:You dirty dog. Diving right in. And Jason just needed 40 points, Al. Did you know this? He just needed 40 points. I did. I thought it was over.
2:57Jason Moore:I genuinely. Before the game.
2:58Mike Wright:And it was.
2:59Jason Moore:Yesterday morning. Yesterday morning, I was like, oh, I lost to you in listener. And you're like, no, not necessarily. I'm like, I need 40 points. Yeah. From two players. Devontae Adams and Jackson Dart. And I'm like, okay, that's doable. If Jackson Dart gets 25 and Devontae Adams gets 15. Devontae Adams got like, what, 35? Devontae Adams got 35 fantasy points.
3:23Mike Wright:Did you win? No. That's just unfair. Sometimes you just have to laugh at how things work out. I mean, laugh to stop from crying. I mean, we are losing quarterbacks by the second. and Jackson Dart goes down with an MCL spray in the report later in the game. He was on the sidelines, and he wanted to come back in the game.
3:45Jason Moore:It doesn't seem like it's going to be some season.
3:47Andy Holloway:He just saw what happened to Caleb yesterday. Right. He's like, I'm not doing that. He's like, tell them I want it back in.
3:53Jason Moore:Yeah, the other guy was like, do you want a towel? He's like, no, get that towel away from me. It's the full. Hold me back. Guys, hold me back. Hold me back. I'm going to fight that guy. Oh, his PR team was like calling the let him know. Let him know he wanted to go back in.
4:04Mike Wright:well i mean what do we we have like 70 snaps all time with like neighbors and dart on the field and we just can't get these guys like neighbors got hurt shoulder injury popped out of place pop back into place that'll be a situation to monitor the early report on jackson dart left mcl injury
4:22Andy Holloway:mri today gonna miss some time giants need to some sort of cleansing there is dark spirits
4:30Jason Moore:in that room. I mean, I felt so bad. Can you imagine? Is this because the Knicks won the finals? No, because it started last year. But here's the thing. I don't remember the last time that if I was a Giants fan I would be as excited as I was, I would say, five minutes before this game.
4:50Andy Holloway:You had the hope. Well, the Eagles game. Last year, the Thursday night football, the upset of the Eagles was like, that's when everything, energy changed.
4:59Jason Moore:Sure, but then when you lost Neighbors and you lost Cam Scadaboo, coming back this year, you're like, we have this trio of young, exciting players. You've got Brian Burns. You've got a core, but will it work out? Is Dart good? Is Scadaboo healthy? Is Malik Neighbors going to be back week one? And week one comes around, and you're like, it's happening. Yes. Oh, week two, we're in primetime. Right off the bat, right to jail. It was just like, your hope is gone.
5:33Mike Wright:Yeah, 28-6. We didn't get Puka Nakua. He was out, so Devontae Adams just went for 8 for 195-2. Apparently, he's still good. Yeah, that got settled. The worries about week one. Also, a goal line opportunity. I did not think week one was prescriptive. Did you see Sean McVay come out and say what he said about their schedule plans? He's like, or maybe like in week one, you have a dumb something coach that just messes up your team's schedule. Terrence Ferguson filled in. That was the. Jason. Yeah. Hey. Six for 54 and a touch down.
6:09Jason Moore:I had picked him up in. Well, I drafted him all across the world. All across the nation. And then I dropped him after week one everywhere. And then I picked him back up everywhere. Where in one league, I felt really dumb because I dropped Travis Kelsey to pick him up. And I feel a little bit okay now. I mean, I, you know. One week. TBD, but.
6:29Mike Wright:Yeah, no puka. The leading receiver in the NFL helps.
6:32Andy Holloway:It feels a little Jake Ferguson-esque.
6:35Mike Wright:Kyron Williams and Blake Corum were almost identical. 12 carries each, 85 yards for Kyron, 79 for Corum. And both had a role in the receiving game. Kyron caught a receiving touchdown. on the other side it pretty much went haywire when jackson dart went out james winston was bad 11 for 27 coming in unable to move the football malik neighbors one catch for one yard
7:01Jason Moore:and that's one hurt shoulder yeah it was apparently it popped out he popped it back in and didn't want to leave the game because they had lost uh jackson dart already did seem like he left the game for
7:15Mike Wright:the rest of the game um nightmare remember you asked me if i wanted like uh neighbors or cd lamb
7:21Jason Moore:after week one yeah and it was a very seemingly easy like ah seems like the neighbor side might
7:26Mike Wright:be better maybe neighbor no one week at a time people yeah one week at a time i mean you have to the amount of injuries we underwent this week you have to remember that this is this is normal And your team, if you survive, which the league median in our league of record was an all-time low. It was like 91 points this week. So most teams didn't score a lot of points. Yes.
7:53Jason Moore:Well, that's very unfortunate for them. That is partially true. In our league, it was a little bit more... Top-heavy? Yeah, I think it was accelerated by one team scoring 215 points, the all-time highest score ever in our league without having a tight end, basically. That would be you and your disgusting face.
8:18Mike Wright:Yeah, I mean, boy, I'm winning week one and two, boys. You have. You've won them both. I mean, I have 100 more points than Mike, and Mike is second in the league and is 4-0. In two weeks. but it doesn't matter because it's week two you gotta you gotta hope you can survive and um it was fun i had no stress this week i mean i it was it was a good time but a long season
8:43Andy Holloway:the uh the game you know as we start to gather data sure looks like even worse for dallas of their their defense not being fixed the rams are going to be they're perfectly fine Their defense is going to be unbelievable. It was in the trenches. The Rams' defensive line just would go right through. The Giants could not protect whoever was the quarterback. You can look at Jameis and go, man, those numbers are horrible. Jameis Winston was just under duress all the time. Jameis is a backup quarterback. We love him because he's fun. He's a goofy guy. He generally comes in and just doesn't care, and he gives you fantasy points, but there was nothing he could do.
9:30Andy Holloway:And this team did not have Myles Garrett. I know. Week one was the, holy crap, maybe the Rams are the super team that fails. I think they're going to be just fine.
9:42Mike Wright:Well, having the lockdown corners that they have and then adding Myles Garrett to the mix, it's unbelievable what they're going to be able to do. It's going to be a nightmare for other teams. And for your fantasy teams. I don't know what you're going to do. Are you just going to see handoffs and screen games against the Rams? I don't know. They're going to have to figure it out. And then they protected Stafford. Like Stafford sat back in the pocket and just picked people apart. It was awesome. 327 and four. Yeah. It was a bounce back week for sure. Let's talk some news. News and notes from around the league.
10:18Mike Wright:Well, the Falcons have named Michael Pinnix Jr. as their starter for week three against the Packers. It'll be Thursday night. So we get to watch the Falcons in primetime. Hooray?
10:27Jason Moore:I can't believe that I'm genuinely so happy that Michael Penix is playing. This is the way to do it. This is the way. Now Michael Penix is riding in on a white stallion just to rescue the Falcons.
10:43Mike Wright:It is I, Sir Michael Penix. Is it going to look very good in Green Bay on Thursday night football? It's going to look so much better than Cooper Rush. It can look bad and better, which is awesome. Well, in Drake London now, you can look at as an option.
10:58Jason Moore:Yeah, Kyle Pitts and Drake London, now you're at the very least. Whatever you drafted, whatever you hoped or thought in your draft, now you get to find out. That's it. Now you get to at least have a chance of whatever you thought when you drafted them, maybe it is. Because the first two weeks, we've said it, you have to throw that in the garbage. Cooper Rush was objectively not an NFL quarterback.
11:20Andy Holloway:He was a third string. Yeah. I mean, objectively, he was. Well, okay. Because he played NFL quarterback.
11:26Jason Moore:Objectively, he did not play starting NFL quarterback quality.
11:30Andy Holloway:Sure. Like his little name placard. It says quarterback. With an asterisk. It's not. It's not.

11:36Mike Wright:Kyler Murray cleared concussion protocol. Will start in week three against the Buccaneers. Are you adding Kyler anywhere?
11:41Jason Moore:I think so. I think he was almost my stream of the week. He would have been my number two to go with. I know it's Kyler, and he's not that great.
11:47Andy Holloway:Then change your stream, sir.
11:49Jason Moore:Hey, I told you you could go with Kyler. um no the one that you have well it's the best one so i yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah but kyler this week he's coming off a concussion which is over here historically you know that that's not going to impact um production you know like coming off of an ankle injury or something like talent can impact that for sure but he's going on the road to tampa bay and so i mean we just saw deshaun watson be okay against the buccaneers so uh you know you could do worse on the waiver wire ben
12:18Mike Wright:Ben Johnson said Caleb Williams would be considered week to week with the hamstring injury. He is month to month with the meme. Oh, man. Mike McDonald said quarterback Sam Darnold is on track to practice this week. Whether he returns this week is yet to be determined. I had heard week four. This would be week three. We'll see what happens. Your boy Tom Palacero reporting that J.K. Dobbins is good. Yeah, no, he's good. After week two's injury scare against the Jags. Definitely good. He's good. But Zay Flowers has a good shot to play in week three against the Cowboys, Mike. We'll take that.
12:52Jason Moore:Welcome back, Zaymond. That sounded like the plan from before is kind of like rest a week, give them some extra time and come back. But what a nice matchup. Because they're like, guys, it's the Saints.
13:03Andy Holloway:No problem. Flowers, rest up one week. We'll get this dub. We'll get you back.
13:07Jason Moore:Oops. Maybe you should have just gone snap count. You know, like have them active and be like, we're just going to put them out there for four or five. We're going to need 45 plays.
13:17Mike Wright:Mike Evans will have to be managed this week, said Kyle Shanahan. Andy Holloway hinted he'll have to be managed this year. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. I mean, unfortunately, Mike Evans is awesome and injury-prone. So, you know, we expected this to be a bit of a bumpy ride, and when he's active, you should be happy about it. But didn't have a huge week and then hurt himself. He's made of older Laffy Taffy now.
13:45Jason Moore:You know, it's like if you pull it, if you pull it, it's going to break. And that's unfortunate.
13:51Mike Wright:You know meat. Alec Pierce will attempt to rehab his heel and ankle to avoid surgery. I don't think it's going to go well. He had a hard time coming back from the surgery, likely to be placed on IR. They hope he can come back later in the season. But at any moment, you could find out he underwent surgery. Correct.
14:07Jason Moore:And I think that this is a player that I would drop. I mean, if I've got a completely empty IR spot. Landmine? If I've got a completely empty IR spot, okay, throw him there. There's no reason to drop someone when you can hold on to him for free. If not, I would not roster him for the next month hoping that he doesn't get surgery, hoping that he's back one month from now, then not knowing is he going to re-aggravate it when he's back. I'm not going to be able to play him right when he's back for sure. There's no way.
14:34Mike Wright:I'm 100 % with you. You don't have room on the bench to mess around with the what-ifs of later in the season for Alec Pierce. It really feels like this guy is going to not be himself until next year. The Raiders, Clint Kubiak said Brock Bowers will practice this week. I think there's an expectation. Or will he, Kubiak? Oh, you don't believe anything he says? No. Because he's a liar, liar fan. But he is a liar.
14:57Jason Moore:He is an absolute liar. There's a pair of pants that are on fire. Yeah. And they're in Las Vegas.
15:03Mike Wright:Colts. Probably more than one pair of pants on fire in Las Vegas.
15:06Jason Moore:Wait, sir, what are you saying? That is probably weird.
15:10Mike Wright:I'm saying. Very true. In a number of ways. We will defend the honor of Las Vegas. The Colts signed former Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton. This is actually a great fit for this team. A competent wide receiver with a history with Daniel Jones that can substitute and be Alec Pierce light in this offense. They needed somebody. They needed Adonai Mitchell. Laquan Threadwell heavy.
15:33Andy Holloway:Also, Slayton probably gets to hang up on the Giants. If Malik Neighbors is hurt, I would imagine they would be like, Slayton? Oh, yeah. Slayton? He's like, I got a new team.
15:45Mike Wright:You leave me alone. Charlie Kohler and David Njoku have been placed on IR for the Chargers, who also lost an offensive lineman and defensive lineman. That means that Aranda Gadsden Jr. will be the tight end one for this team starting in week three. Yep. We'll be talking about him on the waiver show today. And then why not? Dallas Goddard, he's going to miss a few weeks with a sprained MCL. they signed Zachary Ertz, Mike's favorite tight end of all time. Wow. Because Eli Stowers couldn't possibly be expected to come in and play a role.
16:15Jason Moore:Well, he's on the IR, so he can't be expected to come in and play yet. But that's a shame. That's a shame.
16:20Mike Wright:We all know he's not on the IR for an injury.
16:22Jason Moore:Correct. Correct. But just rules are rules. He's got to miss four games now.
16:26Mike Wright:I mean, he was second round?
16:28Jason Moore:Second round, yeah. Highly drafted and highly disappointing.
16:33Mike Wright:And these are the same guys that went, they passed on Justin Jefferson? Yes. Is that for? Correct.
16:39Andy Holloway:Oh, for Rager. Yeah. Jalen Rager.
16:43Jason Moore:They did scoop up Mekhi Lemhan, maybe? Oh. They did scoop up the guy with like, but they generally make good decisions. They do usually. They've got a couple whiffs and they could have a couple more here. All right. We'll take a break and we'll jump into the waiver wire.

18:49Mike Wright:let's do it waver wire presented by t-mobile wasn't there a moment this week where you know when the games were going on and we were watching the players that we thought maybe it'd be like a really good
19:04Jason Moore:waiver wire week i don't think this is a very bad waiver wire week it's certainly better than week
19:09Mike Wright:one well let's start at the running back position jason who are your top names mike where are you
19:15Jason Moore:guys looking yeah I mean I think that the the hot name right now is going to be Jonah Coleman um I'm a little cautious about it here's why we love Jonah Coleman first of all we loved the three of us all around those rookie Denver Broncos uh rookie running back who was at least Mike and I's number two running back in rookie rankings prior to the draft um I think he's very talented then he got the the opportunity in the fourth quarter JK Dobbins gets injured late in the third um RJ Harvey was not in the game, and Jonah Coleman went out there. The team was down when he basically got in there. They went and won in the fourth quarter with Jonah Coleman playing the majority of snaps, getting the majority of reps.
19:58Jason Moore:He had a nice touchdown that was on him. He had a great veteran move where he breaks to the outside, gets the first down, and then slides inbounds. You know, Sean Payton's going to be hot and bothered by that. They win the game. And so he really showed out. He showed out in the offseason program to the tune where in preseason they pulled him quickly. And Peyton was like, we've seen enough. This guy's good. So everything says this talented player who just did great things and is behind two injured running backs, that's a good pickup. The cold water I would throw on it is we just talked about J.K.
20:37Jason Moore:Dobbins. Apparently his hamstring is good, according to Pellisaro. So he should be back. R.J. Harvey. might be back. And while R.J. Harvey was missing this game, now Jonah Coleman earned more work. But when we went into this game, R.J. Harvey wasn't there. And Jonah Coleman barely played the first three quarters. I mean, it was J.K. Dobbins. And I thought it would be like, I thought Coleman would at least play the R.J. Harvey role.
21:03Mike Wright:Tyler Bidet.
21:04Jason Moore:Yeah, he really didn't. Now, once J.K. Dobbins went down, Jonah Coleman very much out snapped Bidet in the fourth quarter and was special. So I don't know. What are you guys bidding on a player like that in that situation?
21:17Andy Holloway:I'm not going overly hard in the paint, but this is a situation that could develop over the next couple weeks. The offseason, I felt like the largest threat to J.K. Dobbins was not R.J. Harvey. It was Jonah Coleman. But he needs the door to open for him to show on an NFL Sunday that he can be the guy.
21:38Mike Wright:I didn't necessarily find myself convinced that he I mean he played well but I don't think that there was something that I saw that was like oh guy gosh this guy took over the entire back the
21:48Andy Holloway:thing for Coleman though is like he's a very versatile running but he's a three down guy where you know JK Dobbins for the Denver Broncos not really used in the passing game they know that when defenses know when Harvey's on the field you're probably going to throw so I don't know if Peyton desires to have that running back where he can put him on the field and the defense has to at least take a split second to really understand what type of offensive play is going to happen. If Dobbins is back, I think he goes right back into being the guy. This is a situation though of J.K. Dobbins hurt all the time, hurt last week.
22:28Andy Holloway:Yes, he's good to go now, but I'm not picking up coleman to play him i'm picking up coleman right now of in the the event maybe next week all this now it's like oh crap coleman's a full fab dump because i don't want to get out for the year or something just i want to get ahead of it yeah i'm more on jason's side i'm i'm only spending a few bucks i'm not going spending a few bucks a fab yeah the but if i had dobbins i would i would
22:54Jason Moore:make it a priority yeah that makes sense also we have to be honest that i mean dobbins can't stay healthy yeah i know you know the injury prone label gets you know talked about like oh that's not a real thing he invented it kind of real thing um i'm actually i so i remember over the last couple years all the all the online docs hating the injury prone label i'm i'm i'm so convinced i'm doing a study soon in the next couple months because i feel like it's absolutely a thing there's i'm just saying there's a couple guys that you could say that yeah and and maybe the data will will say that it's wrong but i i feel like future injuries one of the best predictors might be past interest yeah but it's just like it depends on the type i think there's a lot of
23:36Mike Wright:nuance to it yeah matt 14 breaking your fibula or like constantly pulling your hamstring i mean those are ones that like biological problem you got jordan tyson absolutely has a hamstring problem yeah mike evans hamstring problem will nico has had repeated issues and will johnson uh cornerback
23:53Andy Holloway:for the Arizona Cardinals fell in the draft, not because of how good he is, but because teams were worried about his medicals. Got hurt last year. Got hurt this year. It's like, but my counterpart was like, Matt Forte was injury prone until he wasn't. Frank Gore. Keenan Allen was injury prone, and now he's going to go down in the Hall of Fame with some of the most recenters ever.
24:16Mike Wright:We're hoping players like Christian Watson changes in their training, establish them to be more healthy. To be honest, I don't think the running back names are pick-up-and-start guys. No, they're not. Other than potentially Emmanuel Wilson because of the fact that I don't think the George Salami situation is ever going to happen. And I think Jadarian Price's shoulder injury and fumble could cause the team to say, hey, let's ride the hot hand. Emmanuel Wilson, 21 for 92, probably sees more snaps. Oh, the Helani Hive is just wrecked right now.
24:52Jason Moore:We're all four of them? Yeah. Me and Kyle in shambles. Yeah, there was a loud group. And I just, I was like, there's no way.
25:01Mike Wright:Yeah, no, it was Emmanuel Wilson. I think Emmitt Johnson is the best addition to hold. Yes, 100 ,000%. Because here's the thing is like Jonah Coleman is a great player. But you saw it this past weekend. He played 40 % of snaps when there was no Dobbins and no Harvey. And then Tyler Bidet gets worked in, and I've been annoyed by Peyton's use of the running back rotation anyways. If the formerly injury-prone occasionally, I mean, he's going to be getting a big workload. If Kenneth Walker goes down, I think we've seen enough from Emmitt Johnson already to say he would be, first of all, he'd get all the work.
25:39Andy Holloway:Yeah.
25:39Mike Wright:Second of all, he looks really good. He looks great. And third, it's an offense I trust right now. so to me if i like he's 36 rostered so i'm bringing it up because it's like okay maybe he's rostered in some of your leagues but if you have ken walker he's a must add like agree a must add now not later when he's you know full fab dump because ken walker goes down for a week add him now there's a chance andy reed came out this morning and said you know we're going to give him more work we don't want they ken walker to have to have this level of a workload so to me he's kind of my number one of the list he is a an absolute must be rostered in 100 of
26:22Jason Moore:leagues um i think he could possibly develop into a player that you could start um you know you know is like in a double flex sure um for instance this week right they're playing the dolphins i believe is the is the matchup so it's like you're telling me when the chiefs are up how much is Walker playing in the fourth quarter of that game genuinely like how many touchdowns is is Emmett gonna get in the fourth quarter probably one so Emmett should be rostered and
26:55Andy Holloway:the Saquon Barkley's injury we still need more information like he was we got the news two days ago he was gonna get an MRI for on his neck for the stinger is everything okay with Saquon Barkley I know he went back in the game, but if he has an injury to his neck that needs some time off, then Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley will work themselves in as well.
27:19Mike Wright:By the way, real quick sidebar injury update. I just want to mention this because it came out earlier this hour, just that Sean McVay is not sure if Buka Nakua is going to play in week three right now. Oh, really? It's definitely up for grabs right now.
27:33Jason Moore:It came out yesterday off air that Andy believes that there's a chance
27:39Mike Wright:any minute we hear about a hernia surgery i'm just worried about sports hernia when i start to hear like when i hear multiple reports hip well here's the problem something hip is the big report but then like sean mcvay says groin and you start getting into that sports hernia abdomen area where i just look it's not reporting it's just writing on the wall yeah it's just like what's going on like did maybe maybe it's the hip because he he compensated for something in training camp I do not know, but there's another player that has had frequent injury problems. Apparently, Devontae Adams is capable of being the number one.
28:14Jason Moore:Yeah, he's okay. He's okay. And we said throw out that week one Australia game, and turns out, yes, that was. They were just tired. Yeah, they were tired from flying a minute ago. Back to the Kenneth Walker-Emmet conversation.
28:28Mike Wright:Oh, okay.
28:29Jason Moore:Go ahead. So, I just was looking this up because I know Kenneth Walker's been an absolute bell cow beast the first two weeks. he's on pace for 535 opportunities that is that is impossible not enough that is bone bros um now to the saquon barkley backup situation because saquon dealt with a stinger before and missed games and he's going to get more a second look at this he came back at the game and so it's like okay maybe um it's not a big deal uh or maybe he misses time if he misses time there's going to be a big debate and i think right now there's going to be an over mad rush to the waiver wire for Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley.
29:05Jason Moore:Here's how it worked. Tank Bigsby did not get all the work. I thought that if Saquon went down, Tank gets the role and will be a league winner. That was not the case. Basically what happened is Tank got the rushing work and Shipley got the passing work. They kind of were the exact inverse on routes versus snaps.
29:27Andy Holloway:Bigsby still got a couple targets. But the routes were going to ship.
29:31Jason Moore:The routes and the snaps, they were sharing them. Obviously, I mean, it's so funny. I was going to say, you don't expect over the last couple of years the Eagles to be in these down situations where they're throwing the ball. To the Tennessee Titans. But then it was like, if they're down to the Titans, who? So anyways, I think it's a split. I don't rather have Bigsby. If I have to pick one of those two, it would be Bigsby because I don't expect them to be in that level of passing situation going forward. And the touchdown upside is going to be with Bigsby.
30:00Mike Wright:So, I mean, there's a lot of names that are not really startable assets. Would you drop Jonathan Brooks or Kenny Gainwell right now to pick up any of those names?
30:08Andy Holloway:Kenny Gainwell I would drop.
30:10Mike Wright:Who, by the way, two fantasy points and three.
30:12Andy Holloway:Yeah, Kenny Gainwell, that situation feels like it's shaking out. That Bucky Irving is just – he's going to be the man. 1A1B is nonsense. It's Bucky.
30:23Mike Wright:What a pick, Jay.
30:24Andy Holloway:And then – Thank you. Your clairvoyance there right before your draft pick. of knowing what was going to happen. I saw the future. He got one of those magic angles. On the clock. Brooks is hard because of – do we have any more injury update?
30:39Mike Wright:I think that he's going to rehab. It was week-to-week groin injury. I would – it's just hard to see him going from –
30:49Andy Holloway:Yeah, I guess I'm willing to move on from him.
30:51Mike Wright:IR spot, hopefully. Tuck him in the out. That would be great if you've got it.
30:56Jason Moore:It's a tough situation. I think he is not – certainly not a must drop. And certainly a can drop. Because if he was on waivers, it just depends on my roster. I would be willing to pick him up.
31:05Mike Wright:When does Chuba get respect?
31:07Jason Moore:Never. Never. I mean, he should. A couple years ago he got respect and he got a big payday.
31:11Mike Wright:Well, by them, but I don't think by the fantasy community ever. He got it from you. Do you realize that, yeah, from me? Yeah. Yeah, Chuba Hubbard, RB10 and RB11 through two weeks. Yes, he has played very well. He has a receiving touchdown in both weeks. And the Panthers are cooking.
31:26Andy Holloway:It's not just the, like, oh, respect Chuba. So the Panthers, this is a team reborn. Bryce Young looking good. Bryce Young looks like an actual legit quarterback. We're going to talk about him. Wide receivers, guys, to me, it's Denzel Boston.
31:42Mike Wright:Cleveland wide receiver has looked the part through two weeks. 42 % rostered. Went five for 95 and a touchdown. He's my number one pickup. Of the week or a wide receiver? A wide receiver. And actually, let me see. I think that might be, he might be my number one overall. Yeah, I think that unless you're the, like the Jacob Dobbins manager, then it's Coleman. But yeah, I think Denzel Boston's my number one pickup because he's got everything that you want. You know, he's got the snap count. Not everything. Maybe. Quarterback? He did this week. One of the highest rated passers in the game this week.
32:19Mike Wright:Yeah, this week.
32:20Jason Moore:Do you believe he has the quarterback you want? Just say it. The quarterback I want? You said he doesn't have everything you want. I'm just using your words. He's trying to get a sound bite. I just want you to say that you love Deshaun Watson.
32:31Mike Wright:He's got a quarterback I hate. Okay. There we go. Denzel Boston, though, young, highly drafted, big, physical, touchdown threat, which, look, if you have a quarterback you don't love, you want somebody that's going to get into the end zone. I don't need, like, frankly, Concepcion right now is running around like Chimray DK in Tennessee did in his rookie year. I want the guy that's got the big play ability that they take a shot to that can break a tackle and he's in elite company right now um rookie wide receiver since 2000 with 90 plus percent of snaps and a touchdown in their first two games he was a buka in boston that's it
33:05Jason Moore:he was a touchdown machine in college that was like his i feel like his superpower and uh so far
33:13Mike Wright:it's translated to the nfl do you guys disagree is there a better no i i do my number one wide
33:18Jason Moore:he's my number two wide receiver personally i have don tavian wicks above him simply because with the Dallas Goddard injury, I mean, we've seen, I think, the better team, the better quarterback. He's on the field a lot. His yards per run are outrageous. Yeah, he can go deep downfield and get a bomb touchdown the way that Denzel Boston can. Last week, it was five for 74. He's playing the snaps, running the routes on a better offense for a better quarterback, and the targets should be perhaps going up without Goddard. So I would put Wicks, than Boston, but certainly those two are in a tier of their own from the other wide receivers.
33:54Andy Holloway:Yeah, so Wicks' snaps did go down. I mean, the opportunities were still there. So it's interesting of what they did between week one and two. They had to get Cooper. Yeah, why I'm in on the Boston side is because this isn't out of nowhere. He is a second-round rookie. When rookies produce, we want to be aggressive. We want to go after them just in case. They're a star. Special guys just show up. He had the preseason. Yeah, and exactly that. During the training camp of preseason period, his drumbeat was very steady and very loud. Like you had some beat reporters saying, I think Denzel Boston might end up as the number one wide receiver on this team, which felt like just absolute blasphemy because they drafted Casey Concepcion, who seemed like the better prospect, who was drafted in the first round.
34:46Andy Holloway:So I'm on Andy's side here of the team environment, obviously much, much better for Dontavion Wicks, but young player breaking out after his breakout was predicted by their media, I would be decently aggressive going after Boston.
35:06Jason Moore:I don't mind it at all. If you want to take Boston for the high upside, I certainly think Boston has a higher ceiling case than Dontavian Wicks.
35:18Mike Wright:Do you believe that there's any chance that Deshaun Watson continues to ascend or approve? I do not. I would find that doubtful. Yeah, it's hard because he's a player that played at a level that was so outrageous at one point that you're like, maybe the answer is like you get the Russell Wilson post-Seattle version of Deshaun Watson.
35:40Andy Holloway:Which that's what Cleveland has received to this point. They have received.
35:44Mike Wright:Other names, like, do you have interest in Keon Coleman at all? Yeah.
35:48Jason Moore:I mean, we don't know the DJ Moore injury for sure, whether he'll be out there or not, but he looked. You mean just for this week? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
35:56Mike Wright:Because I think he's back and he'll be back soon.
35:58Jason Moore:Yes. This is not – I don't think Keon Coleman is a rest of season great play. You know, Rashad Bateman, these type of guys, Keon Coleman, Bateman, is like, what are the starters? Is Zay Flowers playing? is DJ Moore playing. If they're out, these are break glass in case of emergency. You can start them in your league.
36:18Mike Wright:How about some respect for Trey Tucker?
36:20Andy Holloway:Trey Tucker was the name I would bring up. He's my number two right now. Kirk Cousins is playing very good football. He's Kirk-in. Kirk O 'Chains is... I like that. It wasn't your best. It's like cooking and Kirk-in, but it sounds dirty. Sounds a little dirty. We're moving on. sound kind of weird but it's like trey tucker has actual staying power he's flashed uh from time to time and if he gets really consistent quarterback play do you remember him in week three of last year yeah was that was that like the multi-touchdown game three three touchdowns
36:56Mike Wright:and 145 yards he has two or three of these games a year but we have seen him for now four years so um chasing trey tucker that's tough that is that is for a week to week basically when uh when we
37:08Jason Moore:had the uh fantasy time machine it was like i went team by team and it was the raiders it was like this is an environment where a wide receiver can can pop off i ended up going jack best simply because trey tucker we've seen like we've seen him pop off and then disappear i didn't know if he was reliable enough or uh you know jaylen naylor the matchup against new orleans this week I expect a fast pace of pay, a lot of fast play. Thank you. Place of play. No. No. No. No. Hold on. I'm going to try this out. All right. Give me the camera. Give me the camera. It's Kirkland. It's a fast pace of play in New Orleans.
37:52Jason Moore:And so I expect a lot of points scored. I'm fine taking a shot on Trey Tucker. But if you told me after the game it was Jalen Aylor or Jack Bess, it's like, oh, okay.
38:01Mike Wright:Well, Bowers is returning. Yeah. Most likely. yeah sure sure uh and then you know there's a chance that caleb douglas misses time for miami uh if you care about malik washington or chris bell sometimes you gotta get gross chris bell only had 41 of snaps it's definitely washington over him right now yes see i by the
38:21Jason Moore:uh by the denzel boston argument i would still probably rather roster chris bell just for the upside but if you had to start one this week if i had to start one yeah malik washington
38:30Mike Wright:And then Darius Slayton, do you care about adding him after the – Honestly, the biggest name of all the other names that I think is actually near the top of my list of that. Can I guess it? Yeah. Adonai Mitchell. It's Adonai Mitchell. Yes, that's a good name. I like Adonai Mitchell. I've said this before. 12 targets, 6 for 63, the passing volume in the offense that you talked about getting from Geno Smith, a team that I think frequently will be playing from behind. He's on the Jets.
38:58Jason Moore:he's on the Jets he's gonna be playing on the road in Detroit which is they lost more quarters
39:04Mike Wright:he gets the deep opportunities as well then he's gonna connect on some of those so for me Adonai Mitchell is actually one of the sneakier plays like I'd put him outside of Boston and Wicks I think he's my three he's my four okay um why don't we take a quick oh some drop candidates you ready for you ready for these yeah we talked about Alec Pierce how about wandale yeah you can yeah what about quentin johnston yeah probably courtland sudden yeah
39:33Jason Moore:uh that's disgusting but i don't think he's very good what about marvin harrison jr
39:43Mike Wright:jason let's go to jason's camp
39:49Mike Wright:see you know what's going around right now he's still hiding what's going around right now is uh a lot of college film of Marvin Harrison Jr. It looks so good. He has a slightly different level of energy. Maybe it's just because he's not running against professional DBs. I don't really know.
40:04Jason Moore:No, it's not the DB.
40:05Mike Wright:It's like the effort. I want to kind of like balance it a little bit because I went back and watched the film this past week, and there were, like, I don't know what to do here. The team has been like, okay, they're asking McVay or LaFleur. They're like, hey, why can't you get him some easy touches? and if you listen to his answer he's like well look it's easier said than done like Trey McBride is the best short area middle of the area receiver in the game you have so many offensive plays half of those are runs it's like do you want to just script up a screen pass and waste it down on Marvin Harrison Jr.
40:42Mike Wright:he ran some downfield routes no he didn't he didn't know I
40:45Jason Moore:that was the insinuation though is is like we have guys that do that well why do it with this guy who who's supposed to you know threaten down the field and it was logical it's like kendrick born and and yeah that kind of bride should be in the short area middle of the field you should be using marv in a different way but marv is not putting in the effort for the type of routes that but he did on some place he did on some but there are so many from week two as well yeah where it's just like he looks like he is not giving a fart and i mean he's not getting any targets i i don't
41:18Mike Wright:Don't – it's not like he's failing on the targets. It's a bit of a, like, if you never get the ball, I'm not expecting wide receivers to not be divas in that regard.
41:26Jason Moore:He runs routes fully not expecting to get the ball. He is not out there wanting the targets. He's not a dog. No.
41:35Andy Holloway:No, there is a – That's two. Through two weeks, we do have a leader for – Cat of the year. Yeah.
41:41Mike Wright:Oh, which Mason Taylor was the winner of that last year. I don't remember what we called the actual award. What did we call it, Kyle? Cat Player of the Year, something stupid. Maybe Meow Man. Meow Man. Meow Man. Okay, we're pretty good about that. Marv. Meow Man of the Year right now. Marv. Meow Man. You better get it together. Meow Man. Meow Man. Meow Man Harrison Jr. for sure. Right now. Yeah. We'll take a break. We'll talk tight ends, quarterbacks, streams of the week.
42:17Andy Holloway:Reassemble the team Six stones Three teams One shot Relive the experience You mess with time Time tends to mess back The story continues Tony This is a second chance Don't miss Marvel Studios Avengers Endgame Encore Early period is Friday Get tickets now Ready PG-13 Maybe inappropriate for children at 13
42:38Jason Moore:If you're an NFL fan ESPN is where you need to be this season It's the biggest lineup they've ever put together Monday Night Football every week, every game on NFL Network. Now also available with an ESPN Unlimited plan. And for the first time ever, Super Bowl 61. Marquee matchups, MVP quarterbacks, international games, the whole season start to finish. Football's on ESPN.
43:09Mike Wright:Back into the waiver wire and maybe just maybe we found a position with a few diamonds in the rough. I think it's interesting. tight ends you know terrence ferguson with the potential puka nakua update i've been missing another week and just like there's a chance he has value that persists beyond puka's return arande gadston taking over as the number one you know tight end in los angeles where by the way the drops were outrageous from like trey harris and brendan thompson and even a joku and those guys like you could use another target beyond lad mcconkey there and then darren waller who just seems to have a nose for the end zone man nothing else in two weeks but you know 17 yards 33 yards whatever it was the first two weeks it's where a walrus belongs near the in the end zone near the end zone is that just his habitat that's the habitat okay all right other names to add to that
44:01Jason Moore:uh i don't think that there are whatever i mean tj hawkinson has done no he's had a few plays this year i don't think there's names you need to add beyond those three because those are three good pickups and the order of those three to me is like gadston i i think has the clearest path right now with the other two tight ends injured he had the talent he showed in his rookie season and he's forced onto the field if i knew that puka was getting a hernia surgery terrence ferguson would probably be my number one overall of of all positions this week i would take him over boston over Jonah Coleman, he is, I believe, the fill-in.
44:42Jason Moore:And so I would say this, the same way that you're saying if you had J.K. Dobbins, you would go out and pay a little bit more for Jonah Coleman. If I am the Puka manager, I know it doesn't fill in my wide receiver slot, but when Puka is gone, or for that matter, if I'm the Devontae Adams manager, I might, you know, he's older if he were to miss time, I feel like you have a tight end who will put up wide receiver numbers in the situation where he is the number two option on that team.
45:11Mike Wright:Any other thoughts on tight ends, Mike? It's disgusting.
45:15Andy Holloway:It's nasty. But the muth, I mean.
45:19Mike Wright:You can't trust the other players to catch the football there. Most drops, right? Most drops in football. Aaron Rodgers is in the top five. Yeah.
45:27Andy Holloway:He's also in the top five players I would drop if I had him on my team. The next four weeks, Cincinnati, Cleveland, the Colts, Tampa Bay, you know, it's, you don't really have a ceiling case here like Darren Waller or Ferguson hitting and probably even Gadsden. But if you're, if you've just been getting no production out of your tight end, then the muth could help you out.
45:51Mike Wright:Defensively, there are a couple of juggernauts available in a majority of rosters, right? Uh, or on the majority of leagues right now, the Vikings are playing great defense. They play Tampa, Miami back to back and the chiefs are playing great defense and play Miami, Las Vegas back to back. you're going to start to there are teams i'm targeting right now like playing miami is one of them playing tennessee playing atlanta playing washington i think may turn into that
46:16Andy Holloway:good i'm still fine targeting cleveland show me more than one week absolutely cleveland yes
46:22Mike Wright:absolutely so those are those are some targets but you know the giants have tennessee this week green bay has atlanta on thursday night football michael pennix may be better than cooper rush but he has no problem turning the ball over right so I think the Green Bay defense this week is is a good one and um I think that's where I would probably leave it in terms of Green Bay is a
46:42Jason Moore:really nice pickup to me because right now they've got Atlanta and then they've got Baker who the Tampa Bay Buccaneers used to look like you know the first half of last year and the year prior oh I don't want to play against them they have not been good um and then at that point Micah Parsons will be able to come off of IR and that defense should get a boost.
47:02Mike Wright:So they might have Chicago without Caleb. We'll see. And then, you know, it gets a little tough and tougher after that.
47:07Andy Holloway:And, you know, generally we, we, we focus the waiver wire on the, you know, like your running backs and your wide receivers. My number three pickup for the week is a quarterback. So who's going to be talked about here? Oh, I was going to ask. Why not me.
47:23Mike Wright:Okay. that was the waiver wire presented by t-mobile when you're updating your roster right before kickoff you've got coverage you can count on just another reason game days are better with t-mobile check it out at t-mobile.com membership full stream ahead well uh we'll just let jason talk first in terms of streaming quarterbacks 48 rostered Tyler Shuck.
47:50Jason Moore:Yeah, Tyler Shuck is out there. He's available in way more leagues than he should be. They are, the Saints are number one in pace of play, which is what we this is real tough.
48:01Andy Holloway:You can't get that one today. Pace of play is a tough one today.
48:05Jason Moore:But that was what we expected with Kellen Moore. He's always done this. And they're three point home favorites. This is their home opener. Right now he has been on fire. Is he leading the league in passing yards? Yeah, I mean In NFL history, quarterbacks with 90-plus attempts, 600-plus passing yards, and a 68 % completion percentage through their first two weeks, 2015 Tom Brady and 2026 Tyler Shuck. He's also running the ball. I think this could be a rest-of-season fantasy option, and that is not what usually the full stream ahead. I have my regrets. On dropping him?
48:46Mike Wright:Yeah, because I dropped him when I did that trade last week. And so I lost. You know, I picked up Emmitt Johnson and Tucker Kraft. But by extension, if you trade two for one, you got to drop somebody. And I regret it. And I wish I had dropped Pat Bryant.
49:03Andy Holloway:And I picked up Tyler Shuck. And I'm very happy about it. Two games on the road. He is currently the quarterback five. Yeah, I mean, it's been.
49:11Mike Wright:And what's going to change?
49:13Andy Holloway:What's going to change is he's going to get Jordan Tyson back. That's exactly why I think Tyler Shuck is such an important pickup right now. Yes, in single QB, you can waver your way through. You can find guys off of the wire. But there is a chance with Jordan Tyson coming back that Tyler Shuck gives us a truly special season. I think it – I wish I could disagree after dropping him.
49:39Jason Moore:There was a player for the Foot Clan to be aware of that was on Mike's board for a long time as a my guy. And then when some of the injuries happened, then it was like, okay, he got moved to the fantasy MVP. He wasn't going to be a my guy, but he was going to be his fantasy MVP. And then Jordan Tyson re-aggravated the hamstring. He's like, okay, I can't do that. But this is not just a, oh, the last two weeks have been good. We didn't see this coming.
50:06Mike Wright:This path was there. So I actually have my worries about him this week against Las Vegas. I've talked about the Las Vegas pass rush, and I want to flag the fact that things are going to get harder for Tyler Shuck because Calvin Banks Jr., their stellar tackle, who had a fantastic rookie season, he just went out, and he's going to IR. It's going to be a long-term injury. Short-term or rest of the season? I don't know if it's been determined yet, but it's going to be a long recovery. Do you have to do that still?
50:34Jason Moore:I think I thought post-COVID they got rid of that but then I saw a bunch of reporting that people were going on a short-term IR before the season.
50:44Mike Wright:He has ankle surgery. This is not going to be short. This is going to be a long... He's out indefinitely. It was a high ankle sprain but he needs surgery for it and so it's going to take some time. I'm just bringing it up because the one time that we saw Tyler Shuck... Tyler Shuck had an awful first half in week one and the reason he did was because he was under constant pressure in the first half of that game by Aiden Hutchinson so when you add Max Crosby in there look he may overcome this week I'm just saying the Raiders through two weeks I've liked what I've seen on the defensive side of the football and this this week will be interesting but Tyler suck hopefully he can overcome the offensive line he's got good matchups uh for the most part until the bye week so uh great pickup Bryce Young the other big name that's broken out so far 42 rostered plays cleveland this week carolina is very i mean the story is very similar to the tyler shuck story they are throwing the ball a ton he's second in pass rate over expectation 8.9 yards per attempt healthy jalen coker and tedderon mcmillan and goal line weapon and waller and chuba hubbard like they have some pieces look at down the field last week and Cleveland's defense has struggled so we'll talk more about Carolina in general tomorrow
51:58Andy Holloway:but that is my uh stream of the week and my stream I'm going with the Seattle quarterback yeah I don't care who it is if Sam Darnold is back from his butt injury then fantastic but Drew Locke is this is what he doesn't like that description he's butthurt okay nice I mean like
52:18Mike Wright:literally it's a fact jack by the way drew lock the highest rated passer through two weeks in the
52:23Andy Holloway:nfl that's exactly the point is drew lock is playing well drew lock knows where to butter the bread he's like hey in arizona that jsn guy i'm gonna throw him the ball i mean what's what
52:36Jason Moore:is uh what is jackson's target share right now oh it's got to be darn near 50 it's 100 it is 44
52:43Andy Holloway:44%. There is a wide receiver with a 44 % target share.
52:50Jason Moore:And it works. If you get to 30%, which is an outrageously high number, if you get to 30%, you are almost guaranteed to be a fantasy wide receiver one. And 44%. And how does it change?
53:05Andy Holloway:It doesn't need to. And now he plays Washington. So it's going to be great.
53:11Mike Wright:Yeah, it's wild. Would you drop Drake May?
53:15Andy Holloway:Dude, man, that is tough.
53:17Mike Wright:To pick up Tyler Shaw. I know, I know, I know, I know.
53:22Andy Holloway:That's really hard two weeks to let go of the preseason. Yeah, I mean, if I have to.
53:27Jason Moore:I don't think I would do it. I don't think I'd do it. If I've got one roster spot and I have no one else to drop and I either have to start Drake May or drop him to play Tyler Shaw, I would make that transaction. Outside of that, I would roster two quarterbacks. Hopefully you've got another wide receiver, a backup running back, or someone you could drop and roster both. Because I do think bright days are ahead for Drake May. It might be a long time. It might be until A.J. Brown is back, which I expect him to miss six weeks after the first.
53:57Andy Holloway:Okay, Drake May plays at Jacksonville this week, and then next week is at Buffalo.
54:04Jason Moore:Does that alter your – I will say that I think both this week and next week, there will be 12 other quarterbacks. I would rather start than Drake may.
54:12Mike Wright:They should trade for Kayshawn booty. Oh, by the way, just so the world knows how much the sentiment on a player changes with another week of validation. I, I tried to trade Tyler suck to people last week. I mean, you can go over to Deucer's alley. Every person sitting in Deucer's alley got offers for Tyler suck. Any regrets over there? I do. Oh, sure do.
54:35Jason Moore:Matt said Brock Purdy's on the waivers. We don't need Tyler Shuck. Brock Purdy's good. Brock Purdy's a great pickup. He is, but Shuck's better right now.
54:43Mike Wright:The way you guys operate your team, I'm telling you right now, it is just you have someone.
54:49Andy Holloway:Two brains, but no one's in charge.
54:51Mike Wright:Someone to blame. That should be your team name. Someone to blame. Yeah, it wasn't me. Every trade that goes wrong, it's the other guy that did it. It wasn't me. And by the way, a$1 fab offer is what I offered Shuck to Al over there. and he said they are the you offered it for five i counted for two that's right which you then
55:08Jason Moore:declined but then offered it back for a dollar later and i declined that yeah yeah i forgot that
55:13Mike Wright:was the interaction but i mean i offered him to mike last week and these offers were taking place
55:17Jason Moore:mid-game in week one yeah i will i will say to to the defense of the grumpy old trolls over there i don't know that i would take shuck over brock purdy yeah it's understandable they didn't get pretty either though. Losers! Oh no!
55:34Mike Wright:You missed out on... Whose fault was that? Who's your quarterback? Neither of theirs. It was Jaden Daniels. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Yeah. So who is it now though? Is there a TBD? Oh Baker?
55:49Jason Moore:You're totally fine. Yeah, what's to worry about? You're totally fine. Dude, he just got paid.
55:54Andy Holloway:It's great.
55:55Jason Moore:You can't drop that guy. They're playing for next year anyway. You and everyone else. um all right you and everyone else i hate i this is this is brutal folkland this year in the league of record it is brutal why is it brutal because you have i don't get it the most super team we've ever seen before and it's yeah there's a couple of us with some stones and we're not gonna give up good oh look at you good i love to hear you can't see the path though can you it's fuzzy but we're going to get there it's a long season it's a long season four or five significant injuries to Andy's team and next thing you know he's got a chance to lose
56:38Mike Wright:this will be a fun ride it's not the odds I feel are still against me because things can go wrong the odds are against you
56:48Jason Moore:shut the show down push that button disgusting
56:53Mike Wright:Just trying to hedge it a little bit. Imagine me talking about my dynasty team like that. What?
56:59Andy Holloway:That's ridiculous. You've got to win. Goodbye.
