In short
A couple in McHenry, Illinois argues about finances while barely surviving on low wages, heavy debt, and spending on a costly hobby (World War II reenacting). The episode also covers budgeting, income breakdowns, and how communication breakdowns worsen money problems.
Guests (backgrounds)
- Alice (28): Part-time AP clerk; $25,000/year; biweekly take-home about $795. Has two kids (2 years and 6 months; plus a younger baby). Wants more stability and feels her partner prioritizes reenacting.
- Corvo (26): Works at a meatpacking plant as a label coordinator (about $18.75/hour; ~42 hours/week). Net about $635 weekly plus a second job at McHenry Outdoor Theater (parking coordinator; ~$16.50/hour; seasonal). Reenacting is his major hobby; he travels frequently for events.
Key claims
- They disagree on who’s at fault for money shortfalls and household neglect (cleaning, parenting time, communication).
- Corvo allegedly spends tax money/subsidies on uniforms, equipment, and rental cars for events instead of kids’ education accounts.
- Alice says he’s often away (camping, reenactments, gaming) and doesn’t communicate expenses until they “boil over.”
Notable examples
- Hospital bill after their son busted his nose; argument over whether it was necessary.
- They claim they spent about $5,000 from a child-related subsidy/refund on reenacting gear/uniforms.
- They discuss possibly using 529/retirement-style accounts for kids instead of hobby spending.

0:30Oh my God, you gotta be kidding me. That's always. Merry Christmas in July. I'm in a giving mood, even for you naughty ones. Budget, debt, investing, real estate, all of it. 50 % off right now. Not sure where you stand? My new and improved Hammer quiz does the dirty work for you. Two minutes and you'll know exactly how naughty or nice your finances look. Plus, next steps based on your score. Take the quiz, then take advantage of 50 % off and finally fix your finances for good. My name is Alice. I am 28 years old. And I'm Corvo. I'm 26 years old. We live in McHenry, Illinois. And this is Financial Audit.
1:11No one dresses like that that is not going to either mash you to school or to flash a bunch of children. It always involves kids in the end with people like you, though. Absolutely. What the f*** are you wearing? Oh, so this is a World War II U.S. uniform. Why the f*** are you wearing that? Because, you know, reenacting is my hobby. It's my passion. So that's what I'm here to do. Show them. That's what you're here to do? You're going to reenact the military on my show? 100%. That's why you guys got the camouflage behind me. Okay. And which side are you reenacting? Are we killing the Jews or are we killing the Germans?
1:42All the above. All the above, yeah, really. I do every side. It's easier to list, like, uniforms I haven't worn from World War II than it is to list the ones I have. Stop asking questions. Stop doing meta commentary. Gary, just have fun. Can I see you stab yourself with a sword out of shame on the Japanese side? Like, like Hirokeria? Well, we have them here, don't we? Don't we have some? I believe we have those swords. Yeah. So, all right. So that would get her off the hook. Yeah. You're the problem. I don't know if you are, but thanks for coming down. I've just never seen. And then you're wearing like a millennial shirt.
2:21What are we doing? May spontaneously start talking about falconry. Great. Okay. I'm a falconer, so. Animal lover through and through with her. Yep. You guys are 26, 28. You guys are acting like elder millennial. Yeah. You guys seen that meme? No. That's what you guys, but you're like, that's what you guys dressed up as. Okay. That's okay. Sorry. I'm not hating you guys. I'm just noticing it right now. It's just kind of startling as we're getting started. Alice, what do you do for a living up in McHenry, Illinois? Never heard of it. I am a AP clerk, so I make sure that the company I work for, their bills get paid.
2:56That's good. Pretty basic. That'll be AI soon, right? Yeah. Sorry. What do you make? I make salary$25 ,000 a year. It's part-time. Ah, okay. I was going to say, I don't think that's necessarily legal. That makes sense. What's your hourly? What's your, how many hours are you doing? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. How many hours are you doing a week? It depends. In the contract of the salary. It really does not. Okay, well, it's 25 a year, right? Yeah. Flat, no matter what? I can work five hours a week or I can work 60 hours a week. It really depends. Okay, but that's normal.
3:35Normal? Normal. Maybe about 20. Okay, are you happy with that wage? Why are you doing part-time at 28? I have kids at home. No, God, please, no. No. No. Oh, you guys have made kids. We have two little regrets. Okay, very good. Cool, so what are the ages? Two and six months. Two and six months, yeah. Okay, so you're still able to go blast up that school before they're there. 100%. I don't think you should be agreeing with that, but of the$25 ,000 a year, what does that break down to on a monthly paycheck basis? Let's see. Or bi-weekly, whatever the cycle is. So, bi-weekly, I get$795. Wow. Jeez, good.
4:21We're in 90s income. Yeah. $795, you said? Yep. That's an odd change. Jeff. Okay,$1590. Please, Mr. Corvo, please have a decent income because that's terrifying. I don't know, McHenry, is this the suburb of Chicago? No, it's like Booneyville, basically. Okay, well, that helps with cost of living. What do you do, buddy? So, I work at a meatpacking plant. I'm the label coordinator there. The most Chicago thing. Oh, like you coordinate the labels? Yes. You coordinate the... Oh, you're not going to make money, are you? What do you make? $18.75 an hour. Okay. At least it's not Chicago. It's more rural.
4:59Yep. Booneyville, as you say. Thank goodness, because that... I do not know how we would be surviving. How many hours a week are we... So 40 plus, but... 40 plus? Well, what's the plus? The plus is like if they come in the last five minutes and then they're like, Oh, hey, there's a USDA. average. So let's just say 42 hours a week. How much longer, maybe a little better than her job, but how much longer are we going to be relying on humans to do labels? Probably not very long. I just, I don't think I've had two people come on this show and have the most like, oh, we're going to be in the next couple of years jobs.
5:33Oh yeah. This is labels. We're talking about labels. I thought we got rid of humans doing labels, honestly, 20 years ago. No, I'm more like also regulatory. So I have to follow USDA guidelines and make sure that the label is in compliance with all that. Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm happy you're doing it. I'm just, I bet that will be read via a camera very soon. And Claude will say, oh, you're good. They ask you how you are. You just have to say that you're fine when you're not really fine. I hope not for the sake of you. I'm not cheering for this, guys, to be clear. I want you guys to have an income.
6:06I would rather you have a better income. It's very scary of what's happening. Okay, so what's your per paycheck and what's that paycheck cycle? So it's weekly and it's$750 gross and then about$635 net. Okay, so$1052 divided by 12. I also do have a second job to also supplement our income as well because that gets us through, but it doesn't exactly help us out. Yeah, I was going to say, because you're making like net$40 ,000 a year. Again, for the rural area, not much. So please tell me, what are your grinds on the outside? because right now our literal monthly income is$4 ,840. Now that becomes survivable for the area.
6:48Again, if we were in Chicago, we'd be struggling, but that becomes survival in McHenry. What are these side jobs? Oh, well, you said reenact. Please don't say that's a job. No, I don't get paid for that. Because no one would. There's actually people that do get paid for it. A couple people, just like anything ever, yes. There's going to be a couple painters that make an incredible amount of money. Doesn't mean everyone does, but go ahead. Yeah, my second job is I work at the McHenry Outdoor Theater. It's one of the only surviving outdoor theaters with like the original tower and everything. The original tower?
7:19So like the projector, like where the projector projects the movie, it's the original tower to when the original theater was opened. So people go there for the original tower? Well, yeah, because we're one of the only ones that's left in the United States. Who's excited about the tower? Well. Who's going there for the tower? They're more excited for the movie. They are more excited for the movies, but I get excited for the tower because, you know, it's like, oh, that's the original to the original. Like, that's awesome. Built in? Built in 1967. Okay, so the late 60s. Great. Historic landmark. Yep, absolutely.
7:58Okay, great. Okay, and what do you make doing? A coordinator? So you tell people where to park? Yeah, so I can do parking. I tell people not to add to the population in the parking lot. I find a lot of stuff you probably wouldn't want to touch in the parking lot. Condoms. Condoms. Had a couple times where it was like a portable pisser that you take on camping, and it's literally you piss into the bag and they just threw it out their window, and that was an interesting day. Okay. Okay, good. What do you make? How many hours do you do a week in that? So right now it's lower hours because the season is just beginning, but$16.50 an hour.
8:36And then right now, about every two weeks, they're very low paychecks of only like$75, but we did recently just go to full-time. Who's we? We's in the staff. What are you going to make? So usually 20, 30 hours is what they're going to be talking about for the rest of the season. Okay, well, I mean, that'll definitely boost you guys to a decent place for McHenry, which I assume is, again, a lower cost of living area. Okay, so what's going on, guys? We are barely surviving. Are you sure it's we? Because I read a note of him saying she needs to get her shit together. Yeah. Is it we or is it you? I need to get my shit together.
9:17That's what he said coming in. I don't know what you mean by I need to get my shit together. I put 95 % of my paycheck towards bills. Yeah, well, I have to work two jobs to make sure that we get through all of it. So I don't even understand that. You give me 200 bucks per of your paycheck for the house, and I give$600 of my paycheck to the house. You know what? Whose fault that is for not talking to me about what we actually need? It's your fault. My fault? Absolutely. Because I don't talk. Because you're never even f***ing home. Yeah. Because you're off camping with the boys. Yeah. You're camping with the boys.
9:50You're going to Pennsylvania for a reenactment. You're going camping next week after we get home from Texas. Yeah, I am. Because my high school friends were like, hey, we're going to be hanging out this weekend. You want to come with us? Okay, so your kid has a doctor's appointment that I can really use your help with to go and take her to so I can stay home with the toddler? Well, that is why you work part-time though, right? Yeah. Okay, continue. Sure. Sorry, get it all out, girl. I feel pent up. I'm not home because I'm trying to make money so that we're okay and we're surviving. Did you camp here?
10:20No. Why the f*** didn't you shower? I did shower. Oh. He is naturally greasy. I am naturally greasy, yeah. It's that Italian in me, unfortunately. No, it is not. Okay. So how often is he going camping away from you guys? He is home maybe for the weekend twice a month. Brother, you got young kids. What are you doing? I'm sorry. Yes, she's part-time so she can take care of the kids. That makes sense. I don't think you're working two jobs to take care of the house. I think you're working two jobs so you can go on your little excursions with the boys constantly. Well, it does help, but at the same time, like...
11:01Come on. Is that not it? Yeah, no. You're going off to go hang out with the boys, so you don't have to come home and take care of the kids. I love taking care of the kids. What are you talking about? When was the last time you gave any of our kids a bath? Never. You've never given them a bath. He's never taken a bath. Yeah. Well, to be honest with you, I'm still terrified about giving them a bath, so that's one of the things I get terrified about. Yeah, cleanliness scares the shit out of me. What time does our oldest go to bed? Uh, usually midnight No Wrong again, idiot 11 What time does the youngest go to bed?
11:36Usually 9 or 10 No, 7.30 Oh, that one was further off That one was a lot off What are you, how are you off on that? I mean, you're at least home then He's on video games Yeah, I do He comes home, says hi to me and the kids Sits his butt down I'm gonna put on video games I'm gonna play War Thunder Yeah, I do play War Thunder and like a bunch of other video games Is that the tank game? Yeah, it's like a tank game. You can do tanks, airplanes, stuff like that. Why aren't you contributing to this house? I do contribute to this house. There's more to do. The wife needs a little, you know, help here and there.
12:11I do. I clean the house. I vacuum because you leave the house a mess. That's not true. Not true. I do vacuum. You're joking. Yeah, maybe once every two to three months. Because you haven't done it in two weeks. How is that my fault? You're the one that broke the vacuum, Lass. And you're like, okay, please fix it. Okay, I'll go fix it. Three days later, can you fix the vacuum? Yeah, I'll fix it. Three days later, hey, can you fix the vacuum? Yeah, I'll fix it. It has been six months since the vacuum's been broken. You know what? And that's because I have two jobs that I'm working. Let's bring it back to that.
12:46Yeah, one job. Why don't you buy another vacuum? I mean. It's money. It's money. That we don't have. I know, but you got to clean the house and you can get a cheap vacuum. Yeah, Facebook Marketplace. Facebook could get a good one. Yeah, but you won't even let me leave the house to go meet up for Facebook Marketplace. You won't even let me go. Wait, that doesn't make any sense. You're hanging out with your boys constantly, including on gaming overnight. Why can't you go outside? Well, because, like, we grew up in that area where there's, like, the Craigslist murders and stuff like that, where they're luring people.
13:12So, like, what is any different from a Facebook Marketplace, man? We interrupt this program to bring you Courage, the Cowardly Dog Show. Yeah, he's afraid that if I leave the house with the kids, we're going to get robbed, kids stolen, and me killed. So you're... So I'm not allowed. Do you go outside? No. I can go outside in the backyard and maybe take the kids to the park. That's a little weird, dude. Hey, you know what? She also decides not to go out too. So that's on her. That's wholly on her. I will tell her, get the hell out of the house. And she'll just be like, oh, no, I don't want to go out of the house because I don't want to leave the kids with you because you'll get emotional.
13:44Yeah, you do. You'll get emotional? Yeah, because sometimes they do overwhelm me a little bit. They don't have kids. What the fuck is wrong with you? Hey, maybe if you weren't on the screens 24 hours a day and doing reenactments, you'd have a little sense of normalcy and not get overwhelmed by a child. Maybe you need a little actual interaction with them on a consistent basis. I do have interaction. To prepare you for what it's like to be with them alone. Why'd you father children if you can't handle children? And less than that, why'd you bring a second one? Why'd you bring a second one in if you couldn't handle the first one?
14:17To be quite honest, they were both accidents and I love them dearly. Okay, why were we wearing condoms or birth control or snip? We were wearing condoms for the second one, at least. That one ripped. Yeah, that one definitely did rip. Okay, but you learned it. You learned that it ripped. Not until after. So take a plan B. Yeah, you didn't even tell me that it ripped. Oh, that's totally wrong. I did tell you. You did not. You, no, that is. Why would you not tell her? You did not. That's crazy. I did tell her. That's the thing. She's gaslighting me right now, and she's saying that it's my fault that that it was.
14:49Maybe she doesn't remember her. There's two people involved in that. 90 % of the time you think you have conversations, you will start a conversation in the middle of the conversation. I'm like, hold up, what the f*** are you even talking about? Oh, you know XYZ. And I'm like, well, why didn't you say that in the first place before you started with ABC? That's how my brain works. I'll think of a solution later to something we're talking about. Well, I'm not a f***ing mind reader. Well, maybe you should be. Ashlaw. I am not a gypsy. I cannot read. your f***ing mind. Maybe you should get a crystal ball then.
15:22Uh-huh, sure. Burn down the whole house. Yeah, burn down the whole house. Put it next to the window. Mm-hmm. Right. Yeah. Sure. Sometimes I feel like burning down the house with all of your f***ing shit in it. What does that mean? We have a, what, 12 by 14 shed has nothing but is reenacting stuff in it. No, it's all the back wall and then the rest of it. It's not in the house. Yeah, it's not in the house. Some of it is in the house. But honestly, I moved that stuff out there so it was out of your way so the kids had somewhere to play in that little shit box we have. Okay, that is fair. But how about— Why do you guys live there if you hate it so much?
16:01What are you talking about? Well, because housing market sucks. Housing market in Illinois for us is terrible. Do you own this? Yes, we do. Why'd you buy it? We were both in really bad situations, and we both needed out of the house. Great rent. What the fuck are you talking about? Why'd you have to buy it? We don't want to rent because we figured— If you're in an emergency situation, rent. Don't buy a house that... Dude, you won't even let her outside. How scary is it around this house? Not at all, admittedly. But why won't you let her go outside? Dude, you always hear about these people... What's the demographic in...
16:31What is this? McHenry. Mainly white. Huh? Wait. You said demographic, right? Well, yes. It's mainly a white neighborhood, so we commit the most crimes. Huh? Per capita, right? Per capita? That's what I... Or population-wise, we commit the most crimes, so that's why I'm terrified sometimes of it. Or pro... Yeah, about those stabbing that we get maybe once a year. Well, it's also like... Wait, no, no, no. You have to be able to at least let her outside. Like, the kids have to go outside. No, they're allowed to go outside. She was saying different. Like, that's kind of crazy. Well, I can go outside in the backyard and, like, take the kids apart.
17:06Yeah, I'm saying besides that. Like, the kids... I tell her, take the kids for walks all the time, and you know what ends up happening? She doesn't. Well, you know what? If she goes and takes a walk herself and leaves the kids with you, you have an emotional breakdown. Yeah, and then you're in a mood for the rest of the day. Well, you know what? I just got to get used to it, and I'm slowly am. It's getting better. Is he? Because, like, how often can you actually leave the kids with them? I can't take a shower. That's crazy. Yeah, because the kids, my daughter, really just goes crazy when she's not in sight.
17:35Yeah, you know, because that's how you've trained them. It's 100 % mom, never dad. I'm always out of the house working too. And going to reenactments and going camping and going out for drinks with the boys. Come on. I invite her to go to that stuff and she doesn't want to do anything where we have to. The kids. What would she do with them? Yeah, we're going to call. No, we could call my parents or we could call your parents. Last minute? Yes, absolutely. We didn't have access to my parents until the last, what, three months? Well, yeah. And you know what? I'm very thankful for them that they did that, that they're even right now with our kids.
18:15Okay, so they can watch the kids. Yes. We should do that even more and more because obviously the kids need some separation. Yeah, they do. But also you need to have some contact with them, you freak. I do. Now, you're a weirdo. You wouldn't even let her go to the grocery store. I'm being read because there's a shooting four towns away. Yes. You're a freak, man. No, I'm not a freak. That's freak behavior. They need to be able to live life. If, yeah, but your helicopter parenting isn't going to prevent these kids from growing up in any sense of normalcy. They're going to be weirdos. They're going to be like you.
18:48Oh, yeah, because I'm such a terrible example. Aren't you? You stay away from your family. You can't be around your kids. You don't shower. I would say, actually, not the best example. I would disagree. That's the counter argument, then. That's the common argument. Is it? So other people say this? No, between us. Because I'm like, you need to stay home every weekend. Because he's off going to do something. It's like, can you stay home and go take our son outside, go to a park? Okay, yeah, I can do that. And he's back within a half hour. Not just that, but buddy, if you're going every other weekend with the boys camping somewhere, she at least deserves one weekend where she can do something.
19:32And that's what I tell her. No, because you break the f*** down the moment the kids are with you for five seconds. And I told her, go regardless. I could put my headphones on or something so I don't hear it. Your headphones on? Yes. So in that way, like, if they're, like, just unconsolable, I can put my headphones on, calm down, and then try to figure out what the issue is. You won't even clean the house. How the fuck is she going to feel comfortable? I do clean the house. How is she going to feel comfortable having, like, a spa weekend somewhere? Yeah, especially since the one time you got so mad when I was in the hospital, you broke the damn laundry basket.
20:01Okay, what happened? That's fucking crazy. After we gave birth to my daughter, She caused a hematoma on my right kidney, so I was pretty much bleeding internally, and so they wanted to do some monitoring. This was his first night alone with the two kids, and something happened, and you got pissed off and broke the laundry basket. Yeah, because I made them dinner, and then he almost burnt himself, so I had to get him out from in front of the oven. That sounds like having kids. Yes, yeah. What the? I don't even have them, and I know it. Like, what the fuck are you talking about? What? And you couldn't handle that, and you went on a temper tantrum and broke shit?
20:36Well, to be honest with you too, that whole situation was emotionally like, I was on flight or flight mode. Well, I can understand having your wife in the hospital. Yes, that part can make sense. Does that mean we go into anger person? We break shit? Come on, buddy. What the fuck is wrong with you? Go jerk off in a corner. Get it out. I don't think I've ever angry jerked it off in a corner before, so I don't think that'll work for me. It is a stress reduction, I will tell you that. Better than breaking shit in front of the kids. No, the kids weren't in, it was not in front of the kids. They were both in the living room, and I closed their bedroom door.
21:07And then just started breaking laundry baskets? No. In the kids' room? Yeah, like it. You went into the kids' room to break the laundry basket. Kids' laundry basket. It wasn't even ours. I closed the door, and it got hooked on my foot, and that was the last straw, and then I took it out in the laundry basket.
21:30Okay, so I guess I think I completely understand her reluctance to leave them with you. Couldn't handle that. She said that was their first night ever with them alone. Yes, that was. And you couldn't. And you were breaking shit. No shit. She's never going to walk out that house without the kids. Dude, you're a mess. Why even have the kids in the first place if you can't handle it? I love them. Okay. And that was a complete. Dude, you don't know what time they go to bed. No, I don't. I don't. And you love them? You're gaming instead of having the time with them. The six-year-old, the six-month-old is imprinting right now.
22:14It's going to have the same problem the two-year-old has in the end because you're never around. Well, I'm trying to do better at that. No, you're not. You're a pathetic father. No, I disagree. From everything I've heard, you disagree. What is it? What do you do? Because? Because you work? Yeah, you do the minimum responsibility a man needs to do. I do take them out to the park. I do take them on walks. Alone? Yeah, absolutely. This is true. He does take them alone when it's like, I need to speed clean the house. Oh, when she needs to do a chore. Yes. Great. I don't sit down. It's never to actually just do it for them.
22:46It's so that she can actually do the thing she needs. I do it for them, and then she goes, okay, it's going to be a great time to all of a sudden clean the house, because all of a sudden she's like, oh, I have all these things that I could do now. Yeah, because I don't. That you don't do during the week. Because I have a child clung to me. I have two children clinging to me. And they cling to me when I get home, too, so I can take the pressure off you. That's the whole point. What do you mean? I thought you'd go and play video games immediately when you get home. Not all the time. Every once in a while.

26:10You're in Illinois. Go to Lake Michigan. It's late spring, early summer. Beautiful times. Go to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Actually, yeah, that was on the list. Oh, that was on the list, but instead you're going camping with the boys. Where? Doing what? Wisconsin and going to shoot guns and stuff like that. What the fuck is wrong with you? You know, I'm not opposed to doing that in general as a concept. Yes, you should have time where you pursue your hobbies and you're with your friends. It wouldn't be healthy if we're all just only with each other all day and the kids, okay? I get that. But it's only you experiencing things.
26:43You don't take that. When's the last time y 'all have gone somewhere? Here. This was like our first vacation in like three years. Yeah, that's our first true vacation. Which means it's your first vacation. Well, he's doing something every other week, including this holiday weekend. Yeah, and this is like my first vacation ever because whenever I went on vacation with my family growing up. We were confined to the hotel room and that was it. So why is it more important to make memories of the boys instead of your boy and girl? Because I do have responsibility with some of this stuff. Shooting guns in Wisconsin?
27:17That one was a last minute and I said yes before I even realized what I was saying. I will be honest. Oh shut the fuck up. Yeah they literally asked him yesterday. They literally asked me yesterday and I said sure why not. You didn't consult the wife and mother of your two kids? No I did not. You selfish asshole. Yeah selfish. Sure. Is it not? I just think it's a normal everyday thing. Here and there, sure. But if she, if this is her first vacation in years, especially since having the kids, it's holiday weekend, haven't done anything. And she's doing this to come on a show where she's, you know, getting financial resources.
27:52Like it's a sure holiday, but it's also a mission here. We're doing shit that's uncomfortable to fix the household. So how in the pre-interview, how in the world are you opening the conversation with the producers of she needs to get her shit together. Where everything I just learned is that you are a literal man baby who works a little extra so you can go have fun with the boys and never support her, the mother of your children. How the f*** are you saying that? I'm always supporting her because, you know, every time I get home, it's always helped. I thought it was game. No, that's not the priority when I get home.
28:26Give me like, okay, it's Monday through Friday. How many of those days does he get game in the moment he gets home? Um, I would say about 90. There is some time where he'll ask. 90 %? That's bullshit. Yeah, because there are some times when I'll, okay. Even if, let's humor you. Shush. Let's humor you, okay? You come home. Hey, babe, what needs to be done in the house? Hey, can you do dishes? I f***ing hate dishes. So then I'll go clean the cat box instead. That's how that works. Yeah. Yeah, it takes you three to six business days to do something after I asked you to do it. And it's the cat pan.
29:06The cats come and nag you to change it. Yeah, and I clean it. It's clean. Yeah, usually two days later. Oh, no. Or I'll ask you, hey, do the dishes. Okay, I'll do the dishes before I go to bed. Okay, cool. Hey, I'm tired. I'm going to bed. I'll do them tomorrow morning before work. Okay, cool. I have done that, yes. I will give you that. Hey, I'm tired. I'll do them when I go to bed. Okay, cool. and then it cycles and cycles and cycles. That being that, I don't know who's right, but I mean, instinctually, I have a feeling it's her. She at least has more examples to back it up. And again, you're going out this weekend.
29:42You don't deny any of that shit. No, I don't. I just, I have a feeling she's right. I'm sick of, I applied because I'm sick of being told that I am the problem. Yeah, I'm the one that applied. Why did you open the conversations with the producers that she's the problem? Because anytime there's an issue and then all of a sudden I'm left in the dark about it, she always throws it on me. Like it's entirely been my fault, my problem, that I'm the cause. And then all of a sudden, no, I'm talking. You sit there and say I'm the problem all the time. But then all of a sudden, it's something that could have been talked about weeks ago.
30:18Because, oh, guess what? Alice doesn't want to talk to me about any problems until they boil over. And then we're sitting there yelling at each other over finances. because guess what? You're never home, so there's no way for me to talk to you. A text would be great. Oh, yeah, like you check your phone. You text the boys before you text me. Bullshit. Anytime I get a text from you, I always hit reply. And you know what ends up happening? They're so dependent on what I do at work that, oh, hey, guess what? I can't look at my phone for four, five hours because someone fucked up the labels and now all the productions shut down.
30:54Yeah, texting at work and not texting at work, I can get not a lot of people let you be on your phone during work. No, they don't. We had it with when we worked together at the theater and the gun store and everywhere else. No, do not text on your phone. Okay, cool. It's policy. But when you are going out to the bar, I do not hear from you. When you're going out camping, I do not hear from you. And yet all the time when you're at home, you're playing video games and looking at your phone, texting the boys. It's always the boys over your wife and kids. Why? It ain't. Bullshit. I should like to schmock you.
31:31Schmock? Schmock. Yeah, she's her. She's fluent in German. I'm U.S. German. You dress in World War II. This is, we got some little concern. All white town? It ain't like that. Uh-huh. So you're saying she bottles up. She bottles up and then it lets it. I think we're witnessing that here. Yeah. I mean, honestly, this is a platform to get it off your chest So I'm not blaming for that. I'm not even criticizing you for that. But I mean, it's not, okay. So how do these financial conversations go then at the house? They don't because he's never home to talk about it. And when I'm like, since I put all of my money in for the house, I don't have enough money to pay my own bills.
32:12And he's always, he asked me. Are you guys married? Yes, we are. Why is it your own bills? We have our own bills and then our joint bills. Like my phone bill. He doesn't pay his bills. Why aren't you on a joint plan for phones? He's still under his pants. Because my dad sent his work. Okay. Okay, so but when they do happen, because he says they happen, it just bottles up. You're saying it doesn't happen. But when they do happen, how do they go? I need a little insight. So usually it's like, hey, I will ask her, like, we'll be sitting down, spending time with the kids, and then I'll ask her, hey, how's it going with finances?
32:41Do you need any extra money this month for your bills, for our house bills? And she goes, no, it's okay. I got it. So she completely glazes over the whole thing. And then we got to deal with the fallout two, three weeks down the road. hey, I need$300,$400 here because I totally forgot to tell you about any of these extra expenses. I don't ask you for any other money. You do. I do not ask you for more money. You do. You liar. The only time I ask you for money is, hey, can you put some more extra, more than$200 into our house bill? And I gladly do it. And I will gladly give you$1 ,000. But the problem is you don't let me know because guess what?
33:17You're buying all the groceries for the kids because you're home. Again, I'm out working. Called you a liar. I mean, that's a pretty heavy thing to just throw around. What do you mean she's lying? She lies about not asking me for money because anytime she needs money, she asks me for money. And then I give it to her literally within seconds. And then guess what? You moan about not having enough to buy a new firearm or whatever pack or a new coat. Then I don't. And then I save up for it. And then I wait. And then I get it when I can. You spontaneously buy. You buy shit in your sleep. I do buy shit.
33:51I did bio shit in my sleep once. Multiple times. Once. Multiple times. No, you're, no, no, once. What the f*** are we talking about? He'll buy stuff in his sleep. He'll have something up on his phone, and he'll fall asleep, and he'll wake up, and then he'll buy it, and he'll go back to sleep. I've also called the cops in my sleep. I think everyone's done that before by accident. Yeah, I've definitely sleep dialed 911. Nope, getting everyone saying no. What the f*** are you guys talking about? You guys are insane. I have no idea what you're talking about. I mean, you guys are going out to eat hundreds of dollars, miscellaneous bullshit, hundreds of dollars, other large purchases and unknown things, almost$1 ,000.
34:28So you guys are spending a shit ton of money. Who are we saying's fault is that? Like it's all like shit ton of money on bullshit, like 40 % of our spending. The eating out? No, all bullshit combined. Who are we saying whose fault? His. So it's all you. I do spend when I have money. Well, you don't make that much money, buddy. You're working a lot of hours and a lot of jobs to bring in not that much for the amount of time you're doing it. I mean, he spent all of our tax refund before we even got it. On what? Renapting. Dude, what the fuck are you doing? Do your kids not matter to you? They do matter to me.
35:02Well, then why? Listen, you got a nice big check because of the child tax credit. Thanks to moi. You're welcome. We're funding you. You guys are net contributors. You're a part of the lower 50 % that contributes 1%. Okay, that's fine. That is how it is. We're progressive. That's good. Not complaining. Kind of a little. But either way. And then you take it and it's meant for you to support your kids and you spend it on reenacting. What the f*** are we doing? Especially since medical bills come out of reenacting. Medical bills do come out of reenacting a lot because it is. Okay, you're not a war hero.
35:36No, not at all. Stop. What is this reenacting? What did you spend the f***ing money on? Uniforms. Rental cars. And rental cars. To go out to events because you refuse to drive our brand new car. Why the f*** would I drive our car? when all of a sudden we're putting more money into mileage, oil change, stuff like that. And if anything breaks down, then I got to hear, oh, hey, your brand new car that I was driving. Now all of a sudden doesn't work because the transmission blew, the engine blew. Yeah, so then we could dump more money into that. $800,$900 on a rental car to drive out. That's just a rental car, not the equipment and shit?
36:12No, that's the stuff. Uniforms? I already own all that, but it could be. So what did you spend the refund on? So more uniforms and stuff. What? You just said no, you didn't because you already have that. You f***ing asshole. The refunds just came. Not even refunds, subsidies. Who buy more uniforms? I buy more uniform stuff that I've been looking at and then all the insignia, all the equipment, stuff like that. The helmet. How much did you spend with this refund? $3 ,500. Oh, you f***ing. Yeah, we got$5 ,000. Yeah, we did get$5 ,000. Because literally, we are giving it to you as a society for the sake of your children.
36:51Take that. Put it in a, what is it, a 403B? Am I blanking on the actual right name? Put it on that. Put it in the Trump accounts. Put it in those. Let it grow. What are you doing? That's for the sake of your kids. We actually opened up Trump accounts for our kids. There you go. It's easy. It's free. And our son, he's over the age limit to get like a grand put in already. and so my aunt is giving us a thousand for him. You didn't even tell me that. That's brand new. Why didn't you say that? Why are you freaking out about that? No, because it's kind of embarrassing when her family does that stuff.
37:29You should be embarrassed. You spent$3 ,500 on outfits instead of in your kid's Trump account. Which, by the way, I would... Is it 4-3-P? Am I forgetting? I always mix it up with two. I always mix that one up and like public safety.
37:48Oy vey, what a mess. Yeah, you know what? Talk about a mess. And then all of a sudden - 529. And then all of a sudden you sit there and all the stuff I actually do. Shut the fuck up. Why not put it in 529 for the sake of your kids? That's what we're giving you money for. Or sure, in the Trump accounts, whatever. 529 is a little better because it's more tax beneficial, but it has to be spent for school. But either way, whatever. Yeah, it would be nice to be able to go and apply for those things. but I can't when I have open and apply. I'm just saying put the money towards it instead of outfits like that.
38:19You look like a freak. I think I look good. No? Totally unopinionated. Nope.
38:31I spend it on it because I like the hobby and I enjoy it. You're obsessed with the hobby. I mean every single conversation reenacting, reenacting, reenacting. That's fine. Have a hobby. That's okay. But don't prioritize it over your kid. I have a hobby too. You know what my hobby is right now? Rust. And I have spent a lot of money on it. But guess what? Not over my kids. I don't have any, so I can do it. But you. What is this? First of all, I haven't spent$3 ,500 on a hobby. Not that I can think of. What are you doing? Maybe fish tanks. So like anytime you get a uniform together, it could be. I get it, but you're choosing over your kid.
39:07I don't need the breakdown. I understand it costs money to do a hobby. I'm not complaining about that part. I'm complaining that you're putting it over your kids and you haven't been able to even apologize for that, defend it, have an opinion on it. You immediately just say, well, uniforms are this. You, you're putting it over your kid, you pathetic worm. He has 32 pairs of shoes. Yeah. Hey, what are you doing? I actually downsized that, so. Yeah, bullshit. No. Yeah, I was opening up bins in the shed to get ready for our garage sales. Shoes, shoes, shoes. You're worse than a bimbo bitch. What's a bimbo bitch?
39:38Someone that, like, they have, like, 6 ,000 pairs of heels. I feel like you German freaks are just trying to create your own version of post-Holocaust. No. With all the pairs of shoes stacking up on each other. We absolutely despise those type of people. Those are the most disgusting people. Yeah, they try to buy our sign. No one speaks like that unless they're really trying to defend against something. Trying to defend. What accusations do you have? I have accusations against other reenactors that are, like, absolutely terrible people. Like, against them? Yeah, 100%. Or against you? No. There's no reason someone would come out that defensive against something.
40:14I don't need to defend that I am anti-Holocaust because that's just a given. I've never heard someone so immediately have to go so hardcore anti-Holocaust. Well, because let's be honest, you put on a uniform, you equip yourself with the stereotypes that are associated with it, and then that other thing is— Oh, brother, nobody takes you people seriously. You people take you people seriously. That's probable, but I'm going to disagree because there's definitely people in this hobby I don't take serious. Not at all. No, but no one cares from the outside, so you don't have to defend your German collection.
40:55You almost got the H comb over. Old man. No, it's just a regular haircut. It's the Hitler Youth haircut. Hitler Youth haircut. That's what your mom calls it. Yeah, that's what my mom. She's not wrong. That's what my mom always calls any haircut I get. You're living in his perfect McHenry community. No, I actually like my. Living the dream. I like all my neighbors. The age dream. Exactly, that's what I'm saying. I think he would too. No, he wouldn't because a lot of our neighbors would have been on that list. I would have been on that. We would have been on that list that he would have exterminated, so.
41:32Why? Polish. He kept many Poles alive. Not all of them. Not all. What's the part that wasn't? The part that wasn't was... I see all's knows. I think you'd be on the list. That's fair. But they were ethnically cleansing Eastern Europe as well, not just of Jews. Oh, okay. And then I'm Jewish. Well, I'm not Jewish, but my family's Jewish. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Right. He hasn't even once said why he won't put it to his kids over his Hitler youth outfits. Because he doesn't want to grow up? That's kind of pathetic as a husband. Why won't you grow up? Well, because the one thing I was told in my life is that my— Do you respect him as a man, as a husband?
42:23In a way. He does have his perks. What's the perks? He works. Yeah, he works. I'm glad he works, but he's working for his hobbies, not for you guys. the tax refund went to his hobbies, not you guys. But sorry, go ahead. For as paranoid as he is, it does come in handy sometimes. We did have someone attempt to break into our house and he took the necessary procedures to... So this is why he's so afraid of everything. Yeah. Okay, well, at least there's a freezing because you were acting like a freak. What was the necessary procedures? Acting like it's a military operation. The last thing you want to do is ever go out and try to use force on stuff like that.
43:04So we turned on lights around the house to let them know we were there. And then we called the police and stuff like that. Evacuated into... Got all the family together into one room so we knew if something did happen. Okay, okay, okay. Okay, I was expecting something a little more manly, but that's okay. I guess if that's what you got to get a respect then. That's great. He is a very, if you're in trouble when it's outside of the house, he will come and help you. We've opened our couch to. Go ahead. We've opened our couch to a whole bunch of his friends that needed a place to stay going off to reenactments.
43:46His buddies are just as bad. And then he does contribute a lot to.
44:04I'm sorry, I can't. I just wanted to finish the look. Oh, scheiße. I'm sorry, please. No. I can't. I just wanted to finish the look. You look good. Does it look good? For anyone in his life that sees this, I did that. He did not do that. Thankfully, he can't grow facial hair. Yeah. But he does try to help. We do have a homeless population. And make Henry four people? Yes. Okay, whatever. It doesn't matter. I just need you to step up for the sake of your kids. I'm glad you protected in the home invasion. You need to step up for the sake of the kids. Yeah, I will be doing that now. Get that shit off your lip.
44:57Stupid as fuck. I think. You got it. Got it? Yeah. I did dry erase, not Sharpie. Thank you. Yes. I'm still thoughtful even in my bits of making someone look like an a** online. Okay, so in the conversation that happens again, because we're having the conversation now. We're about to get into the finances, so I just want to understand one more time. So you guys go into a financial conversation. Who brings up the topic? Usually I do. Okay, so what do you bring up? What's like a recent example of a financial conversation? Recently, our son had a fall, busted his nose open. He freaked out. He was like, we're taking him to the hospital.
45:37Took him to the hospital. We got a hospital bill for that. And I'm like, great. We have a hospital bill. We need to pay this. He goes, okay, cool. How much is it? It's$128 or whatever. He goes, okay, cool. And I'm like, you're very nonchalant about having to pay more bills that we could have avoided. How could you avoid it? I think that was pretty important to take the kid to the hospital. Well, because it wasn't like a broken nose. It was just he fell. How do you know, though? I mean, depending on how scary it is, I may have taken the kid too. When you break your nose, you get pretty fast bruising around certain areas of your nose.
46:13Were you saying don't go to the hospital? Yeah. Yeah, she was saying don't go to the hospital. I'm like, no, he needs to go because he fell from like my knee height. I'm a tall person and he's— Your son's a tall person. I mean, I would have been anxious and take the kid for sense of clearance. Yeah, but the kid acted fine. Well, sure, but how old was he? He was about a year. Yeah, just the year. I mean, why not get the clear? That's what I said, and that's why I took him there. I understand$120 isn't fun, but you guys could actually fit that in your budget. You could. For the sake of the kid being a lie.
46:46Why take him to the hospital and pay more money than he could have just stopped inside the doctor's office? If you remember anything that what we talked about, instead of just saying what you are, I took him to the care clinic because we're like, okay, it's not serious, but he should definitely get checked out. They denied me because they denied our insurance. So then I went to the hospital to make sure that our son was okay. Why didn't you walk literally 20 feet to his doctor's office? Because he needed to be seen immediately, not in three, four hours in a walk-in clinic. I really doubt that his nosebleed was bad enough that he was going to drown in the blood.
47:25Well, I took him to make sure that he was okay. And if you have agreements with that, that's on you. I'm glad that our son is fine, but it was a necessary hospital visit. Let's be honest. The cost of living right now is absolutely insane. And finally, unf***ed finances for good. I think it was necessary. Maybe, but I would rather learn that afterwards, right? Yeah. I kind of, I mean, I'm against you for not taking him. I'm kind of on your side for, yeah, he could have gone to the primary care. I don't think it was like emergency room level shit. Yeah, because our primary care were fully covered. Yeah. But$110 shouldn't make a break, you guys. It really shouldn't. Again, I mean, going out to eat, you spent almost$400.
50:00$120 being taken off or going out to eat budget for that month for the sake of our kid is not much of a sacrifice. I will say that the going out to eat was during the month that I was in the hospital. So I couldn't really cook. Okay, it doesn't explain the other thousand plus on bullshit. So even still, no. Go fuck yourself. It doesn't make sense. If you guys are complaining about not making enough money, why are you working the second job? Because you don't make enough money or to fund your hobbies or both? I'll be honest, both. I'm there to fund my hobby and also do it. How much is in your kid's savings account?
50:33Uh, let's see. I got to think about that. Our son has almost two grand. From you guys, not family. Yeah, two grand. And then our daughter has, because let's see, we started when she was born. She has about 800 bucks. Okay, so you spent more in one month on your reacting, reenactment gear than they have in their entire savings. Do you not see how pathetically selfish that is? Do you not see that? That's pathetic. you're a father and then plus whenever we do get some sort of barrier amount you have to do something like dislocate your shoulder get shot you have to rip the tendon in your ankle that's something I can't control when I get injured reenactment it's all from the rest the tendon was when I was working for the USPS and we went down the lakefront I got shot on the job at USPS?
51:30no We worked at a gun shop together. Yeah, I guess that's the place you would get shot. Who shot you? Technically myself. Oh, you. What the f*** is wrong with you? Why'd you shoot yourself? So we had a collection of guns that was brought in. You really are living that Hitler dream, aren't you? Yeah. I wish it was my head instead of my knee sometimes too. But let's see. When I got that brought in. She didn't like that. No. Choose those words very carefully next time or I'm making you walk home. What the f***? You're kind of sometimes like a scary witch. That's why I said she needed a crystal ball earlier.
52:12I don't know. I think he was just making a joke. Like it wasn't a good joke or anything. It was a bad joke, yeah. But it was just like, why do you have salt? I have a heart condition and if my heart tries to stop, this kind of jolts it back into place, I guess. What the f***? Yeah. If you imagine. You have like medicine instead of salt. No, my doctor doesn't care. Yeah. Every time. Well, you need a new doctor. Yeah. They were supposed to do a bunch more tests and then I got pregnant and they refused to do tests again. Okay, well, it's been six months since then, so go back. Yeah, that's what I'm working on after.
52:46Working on. Girl, you're carrying around salt. Yeah, literally. Go to the hospital, you freak. See, I try to make an appointment. Is this why you're so angry at nothing? Yeah. Yeah. I'm in the most pent up rage because he's never home and never able to help me. Well, I do get that point. I'm on your side for that. But I mean, you just kind of freaked out like a crazy. Yeah, because I have a whole bunch of medical stuff going on. And I'll be going to the doctor for my heart and go, okay, tell me about your spine. That's an interesting story. And it's like, I'm here for my heart. Go to a different one.
53:17I don't know. Like, what are we doing? Okay. So you shot yourself. Yes. Freak. Where? It was through. Your leg? It was through my leg. How? So it was a little shitty 22 pistol, and it was the last gun in the collection, and they were bringing in. They had the guns in the store for like 48 hours, and then they were pulling live ammunition, and then I grabbed this one, racked the slide back, looked down in the magazine, look in the chamber. It was clear. And then because there was no follower, the little piece of metal that comes up in the magazine to feed the rounds, it wasn't present. So I'm like, oh, it's a broken 22.
53:53and then when I racked the slide back and let it go, the follower popped up, put a round in the chamber, and then the whole firing pin assembly came out of the gun. So I just pressed it back into place. Why was it pointed at your leg? Why was the safety not on? It didn't have one. Why was it pointed at your leg? Because when I put the pressure down to push the firing pin assembly back into place, my finger not on the trigger, it tilted down and it aimed for my leg. Okay, your fault. I'm not really having sympathy. But you always get an injury doing reenacting? Yes. My most major injury was from reenacting when I was 19.
54:30Is this not expensive for you guys? His injuries? From his hobby? Dude, this hobby owns everything. It racks up. It does rack up sometimes, yes. It's not fair. But we haven't had... It's not fair to your... Again, the savings is nothing. Dude, your... Someone's IRA has like$900 in it. and I don't see another one. So it's like, what are we doing? You guys are dramatically behind on investing. Your kids are going to have to pause their lives in their early adulthood to take care of their parents that chose hobbies over actual retirement. That's not fair. This is pathetic. They didn't choose to come into the world.
55:06It is frustrating. It is. It's very frustrating. Yeah, I'd be an obnoxious bitch too. Yeah. No, you're horrible to be with. And you're scary to be with. I don't want to be on any part of this relationship. Match made in heaven or hell, I guess, whatever you want to describe it. I don't know, but maybe I wouldn't breed. Okay. Does he get permission for the things he buys at least? Once in a while. And you give it? Once in a while. Okay. What's once in a while? Like 10 % of the purchase, 15, 20? 10%. Okay. The other 90, why are you just doing that without consulting the wife? I'm super impulsive with a lot of this stuff.
55:49Well, it's good as a father and partner. Yeah. So paying fours, really. Yeah, I'm a paying four whore. When it comes to that type of stuff, it'll go on sale and I'll instantly open it. But you already know it's a problem, so why continue to do it when they have no savings? You have no savings. You're being a pathetic boy. Because I had money in my bank account and I could easily more afford it with a paying four. It's been more than you make. Like, this makes no sense. literally spending was$4 ,310.12 when$3 ,261 came in. You spent almost$1 ,000 more. No, you spent over$1 ,000 more. $1 ,100 more than you guys brought in.
56:24That's debt. That's f***ing debt. What are you talking about? You don't have money in your account. What are you talking about? This is pathetic. Yeah. I bet you have collectibles, don't you? No, actually. I use all the stuff in reenactment. Your helmet's on the top of the TV. Name one that doesn't have a uniform and equipment associated with you. You're a gun guy. Yes, I do have guns. Okay. What's your guns worth? $40 ,000 at least. Our debt is less than$40 ,000. Sell them. You're out of debt. No. But how do you care about your own shit and your family? You are such a bad person. Yeah. You're a bad person.
57:04Listen. Yes, you love your guns. I love some things I have too. I would never take them over my kids if I had them. Never. I wouldn't take them over my dogs. I wouldn't take them over my girl. I wouldn't take them over anything. The fact of the matter is I'm not selling them because I will never get them back. It doesn't matter. You'll never get your kids back either. And their life is in danger because you don't have a fully funded emergency fund. They're not being taken care of and you don't have retirement and you're being pathetic. They matter more than your guns. Your guns are cool. They matter more.
57:37The kids matter more than my guns, but it'll be hard it'll be it'll be hard my kids matter more than my guns but no you'll be able to if they're worth 40 you can sell them yes and you're in the community and if I'm not mistaken has he sold guns before? has he sold guns before? like maybe two has he bought guns back? yeah there you go you've bought guns back that you've sold before look at her look even the witch is crying even the witch is crying because you're literally choosing guns over her in the fin. Mark wants to give you dry paper towels. Thank you, Mark. I think we should do tissues, though, instead.
58:13Thoughtful man. Oh, dry paper towel it is. Never mind. Thank you, Mark.
58:24There we go. We love Mark. W Mark can leave the comments. Different flavors. Yeah, use those. Those will hurt you. You're white and pasty, so we don't need that. The thing is, buddy, how the fuck? She's crying rightfully so. The fact that you were choosing guns over her and the kids. Selfish. You're selfish in every instance of your life. From the things you do. This is her first trip anyway. Like, what the f*** is wrong with you? You're a bad father. You're a bad partner. At the end of the day, I just wish she was thankful and stopped f***ing about everything. Oh, my God. You've got to be kidding me.
59:00Crazy. You've got to be kidding me. Out of all the things that I do actually do, You know, you always nitpick the stuff that I don't do. Yeah, because it needs to be done. No. I'll do it. I don't think I've had more than five hours of sleep in the past two years because I'm the one that gets up with the kids in the middle of the night. Because that was one of the craziest statements I've ever heard anyone say on the show. What the f***? I called out your s*** and you say she should stop f***ing. What the f*** is wrong with you? You work. You come home. You say hi. And sometimes you don't even do that.
59:35You just go to bed. Because you're pissed off. Yeah, could you imagine all the stress that I have? At your video games. You'll come home, you'll play video games. Oh my gosh, I'm horrible at this game. I keep dying. I'm going to bed. And then I've got to turn off your Xbox. I've got to get the controls. You don't even turn off your own Xbox? No. How are you so bad at gaming? For someone that games that much and looks like you, how are you so bad? Definitely not my number one hobby, that's for sure. I'm not that good. making her turn off the Xbox. Dude, you suck. Fucking, you suck. I do suck at video games.
1:00:11No, you suck. How about, beer me, bitch. Oh, you made that joke and then I took it too far. So at least you admit you took it too far. Yeah, at least you admit you took it too far, yes. I did take that joke a little too far at times where I'll just go, beer me, bitch. At times? Wouldn't you know after the first time it's too far? No, I like, I have to razz her sometimes Sometimes because she always gets her as me. Sometimes it's funny. Sometimes it's appropriate. Other times I am holding a screaming child while cooking dinner and the cat is puking on the floor. That wouldn't be the best time. No, that would not be the best time.
1:00:46Why do you do it then? I did it maybe once. Okay. You know what? I will say I did it once to you and then I, when was the last time I did anything like that back? Let's see. What's today? The 16th? Yes. So about three and a half weeks ago, I just brought our oldest home from the doctors. You came home. You beat us home. So you didn't come with us to the doctors at that one time. Right, because I was working. Yeah. And so you sat down and playing video games. We walked in. Hey, since you're at the fridge, beer me. Yeah, I did do that one. That is convenient, but I also had a sleeping child in my arms and another crying one in the back hallway.
1:01:24And I went to help. How many of you guys been together? Uh, since 2020. 2020. Oh, the COVID relationship. Yeah. Yes. Yikes. Okay. Yeah, we're seeing the outcomes of that now. Come on. Cool. So you'll, you'll sell your guns and get out of that today? I'll find one to sell and go from there. The most expensive and collectible one. You can get out of it today. We wouldn't even need to have the rest of this conversation, except we do because your behavior will get you back here again if you don't fix it. But even still, what the? Okay. What do you guys think your financial score is, zero to 10, zero being the worst, 10 being the best as a household?
1:02:03When I took the quiz on your website thingy, it said 3.8 or something like that. I was about to say, mine came back is a 3.2. It feels like a 2. Well, we'll see. We'll see. Listen, if you want your hammer financial score, it is free. Go to CalebHammer.com, take the assessment, see where you stand in the world of money, where you're doing poorly, where you're doing great, and what you need to do to do well at money. And if you don't want to be like a guest who ends up on the show, So make sure you download the Dialowise budgeting app. It is great. Tens of thousands of monthly active users for a reason.
1:02:32Most people take the annual version after the trial because it saves almost 50%. And you get my 30-day budget meal plans I'd by me mailed directly to you plus the digital version of the cookbook. You guys get that and the digital version of the cookbook. Dialowise.com, CalebHammer.com. I got to take a piss. Yeah, that's tough for me to do. Piss time.
1:02:54So why the f*** do I see owing mom? $7 ,000? Whose mom? My mom. Why? We had to get a new roof. Okay, so like I said, why the f***, you're like, I don't want to throw money into renting. Why rush into the home ownership when you guys are not financially ready? You guys are f***ing young. You didn't have to in a town that you might not even want to f***ing because there's obviously no opportunities. And not only that, But look at the consequences. You get a house without an emergency fund? Bullshit. Did you have a fully funded emergency fund? Yeah. You should have been able to afford the roof. What the f*** happened?
1:03:30We fell for... You fell for the flipping. No, because you fell for it too. You were right there with me the whole process. I wanted to go for the middle ground. The middle ground was like an$8 ,000 roof. You went with the 12. Well, because you know what? The warranty with the roof passes on to the next owner. Do you need a new roof? Yes. We did, actually. If we did not get a new roof insurance... This is home ownership. Why did you have to own a home? It's an obsession. Obsession with people. You weren't in a place. It was an emergency move out. You didn't need to buy. Well, probably because renting in our area is about, what,$1 ,200 a month.
1:04:06Our mortgage is$600. And then you have a$12 ,000 roof or whatever the f***. From Felco, Delco? Felco. At least the landlord takes care of all the other shit. No offense. I mean, I'm taking a look. It literally looks like a shed with the color and everything. It is. It's 700 square feet. You bought a 700 square feet house? You're going to sell that again? Good luck. Dude, what the? You'd be surprised because our community is turning into old folks community. It is. Oh, great. They're all moving in. That's good. They're all moving in. It's a place that I want to invest in. Yeah. Places where people die.
1:04:44So$7 ,000, are you on a minimum monthly payment with Mother? So the agreement was that when we sold the house, it would come like that. Oh, for f***'s sake. And when are we selling the house? We're working on getting it ready for the market. Yeah, hopefully in the next year. And I see the house that you're interested in. Yeah. And we do have a financial plan for it because it has an apartment built above the garage. So we could offset whatever mortgages left over after we sell this house. It's definitely a lot bigger. Surprising like the same price. Why? Is it in a shitty area? It must be. It's in Indiana.
1:05:14It's in Indiana. Why would you? Okay. In the middle of nowhere. Why again? Why do we go to a place with no opportunity? We like the quiet countryside more than anything. It doesn't matter. You need opportunity for the kids. You need income. You need schools. You need good things. More than just quiet. You can get quiet in anywhere. We're, um, my brother is disabled and lives in a home and that is close by the home. Yeah, so if anything. I'm sure you could be in a place that's relatively close. That's, okay. Dude, it's 555 people live in that town. What are you going to do for f***ing work? You need to have a job, guys.
1:05:44What are we doing? Come on. What's our income plan there? The income plan was because right now I'm in college. You are? Yes. Doing what? To get my associates. In? To be a history teacher. Illinois is like really desperate for teachers. Well, good thing you're moving away from Illinois. Oh, it's right over the border so I can commute. Where's the nearest town? How close is the nearest school? Decent school. Because you're going to get small town pay. 35, 40 minutes. Yeah. So it's not far. It's the commute that I'm doing right now to work at the meat plant. Good, definitely. And that's if that school hires you.
1:06:25You're kind of banking it all on one. You're not in an area that has a lot of schools. Really banking it on literally one building hiring you. That's risky as fuck. I don't like that. You're not going to make much, especially for a long time, especially in that area, in that kind of school district, lower property taxes. And what are you going to do? Well, my part-time, my work from home. and the, so my boss is my mom. Oh my goodness. She works for the same company. Okay, I'll get you a course career certification. Many people in the audience have converted those into six-figure paying jobs either at their current job or getting a new job.
1:06:59You should check that out. Yeah. Big discount for my audience, but I'll get you it for free. Yeah, because my mom's planning on retiring soon and I'm supposed to take over her job. This is just, it makes no sense to me, guys. This is just such a mess. And borrowing from mother, like mommy, new roof, please give it to us. Why didn't you finance it with the roofers? Why didn't we get a personal loan? Why didn't we do anything like that? Like we literally have, well, I wouldn't want you guys to because you guys are fucked up, but we have like personal loans and like loans for this kind of shit. We have all the financial services that anyone can need at Calebhammer.com.
1:07:29We have that shit. Why'd you guys go to mother? It complicates relationships so hard. She actually approached us with the idea and then we were already on a payment plan for the roof. How'd she find out? Okay. So she saw the debt and she She was like, let me? Yeah, because... Yeah. Oh, my goodness. You have another one to your mom. Yeah. Another$4 ,500 for what? We bought her car. We bought her car from her. What? You owe it to us. You didn't even buy the car from her. You got fucking... You lended it out. You got leveraged up. Yes. You don't even have... Fuck. So$500 a month? Correct. Yes. Oh, my goodness.
1:08:04Are you actually making the$500 a month payment? Every month on time. So what happened here? What's the car? It is a, is it a Kia Seltos? Kia Seltos, yes. Is that a brand new car that you were talking about? Yeah. So it's not a brand new car. Well, it's just new to you. It's new to us, but it's a 2024. Okay, well, that's pretty good. You got it on the cheap? Yeah. Why do you owe$4 ,500 on it when it's worth$18 ,000? Because we bought it for$11 ,000 and we used— We paid it down that much? We have. Zero percent? That's why? Yeah, because we bought it directly from her. So zero percent, though. Yeah.
1:08:40Yes. Okay, well, you got a good deal on that, I'll be honest. Yeah, because I originally had a two-door tiny-ass car and could not fit the kids' car seats in it. So if you're getting the blessings of, like, two halfway decent loans from the parent, one you don't even have to pay on, one that's 0 % that you've already had a great equity position in, you have a great equity position in the car. How the f*** are, why are you guys fighting so much about finances? Well, because I... What is wrong? I'll be honest with you, too. If I'm going to be making sacrifices, she needs to sell her car, too. I'm not selling my car.
1:09:11Yeah, I think you should. No, I use that daily. Yeah, and we can get something cheaper. Oh, yeah. Are we going to do the same thing where I would drive you to work in your car, then use your car for the day, and then alter my day and nap time and stuff like that, pile the kids in the car, and come pick you up after work? Absolutely. This wasn't my question. No, I'm answering him. What are you guys fighting on if it's not even, like, I don't even understand. these two debts aren't even horrible you're lucky that you got them from mother what are we fighting on financially we're barely scraping by we barely have enough in our things because he keeps spending it all before we even get it and you keep spending it too on groceries yeah on groceries and then you'll come home and you'll buy like have Starbucks coffee in your hand or cookies in your hand shit like that once once like once every two three days okay yeah that's once You're taking me from passing out because of the sugar.
1:10:09You have sugar at home. Yeah, but so... You don't need Starbucks sugar specifically to not pass out. No, but I have sugar when I'm out and about. So why not go back to making... What the fuck are you talking about? Why don't we make those Pillsbury cookies that I like a lot? Then that way, you know... You could only take a sugar cube. Pack back a sugar cube. Oh, a sugar cube. You don't need an$8 Starbucks to not pass out. Have a sugar cube like a horse. Yeah. I'm a horse now. Yeah, thanks. I'm a horse. Go from a witch to a horse. What? No, I didn't even say you look like a horse. I'm just saying you have a sugar cube.
1:10:46No, somebody said. You act like a witch, but you can eat a sugar cube like a horse. Yeah, I guess so. Whatever. Well, yeah, if you can't afford the Starbees, do it. If you or your child spent years growing up on social media and experienced serious mental health struggles, you should hear this. Recently, a jury ordered Meta and YouTube to pay millions for their role in designing and promoting addictive platforms. They knew their apps could contribute to anxiety, depression, and body image issues, but did not share those risks while prioritizing profits. The recent historic verdict underscores the consequences of those decisions.
1:11:25Now Morgan & Morgan is stepping up to hold these platforms accountable for the harm they caused. Click the link in my bio to take a short quiz. you may be entitled to a potential recovery of over$1 ,000. Ladies and gentlemen, I got something new to help you that we have personally built. Right here on CalebHammer.com, we have three new Caleb Hammer financial resources. They are the ones I would personally use, which is why we made them for you to use. As you've already heard me talk about, personal loans are okay when you're good at debt. I personally use them when I can leverage them for a situation.
1:11:58So we have good personal loans on CalebHammer.com. We also have auto insurance now. You can check for free and see if you can save a shit ton of money on auto insurance. And then to close it off for now, because we're building more, we have a debt relief program. You've seen how hard it is for people to get out of debt on this show. This makes it so much easier, but only if you're actually ready to change. Remember, none of this actually matters if you continue the same bad behavior. So it's not for you if you still suck. 1:12:35Go to CalebHammer.com or the Caleb Hammer Financial Resources part of the pinned comment or description below. Yeah, well, keep me from passing out. I guess enough if I have a hurt theme, a bobber, but still, at least like it to taste good. Well, that would be good, too. But can you afford it? No. So make something at home that you take out and about with you. We don't have enough room to have like a coffee maker or anything. We barely have enough coffee. A coffee maker? We don't need a coffee maker. Yeah, you're the one that was looking on Amazon. What was it? Last night for Keurig? Yes, get a coffee maker.
1:13:05Guys, get a coffee maker. You can get a coffee maker like this big, single pot, like a single cup. We don't even have enough countertop for a microwave. Yeah, we have to put it above the... This coffee maker is like the size of like a third of a microwave. What are you guys talking about? Guys, this is like seriously like this big. It's a single cup thing. It's tiny. Like the hotel one. Yeah, like the hotel one. Yes! That I was like looking at last night. No, you were looking at the fancy Keurigs where you had the little cups and you put them on the top. Guys, you are not going and getting Starbucks.
1:13:38If you are barely scraping by, Starbucks is not an option. Make that make sense to me. Okay, I will cut down on the Starbucks and maybe I'll get a candy bar instead since it's a once in a while thing where I'm about to pass out with the kids. Listen, this is sugar-free, so this doesn't necessarily work. But the same excuse stands, though. You're not going out and buying coffee. You're making it home. You're not going out and buying energy drinks. You're making it home. That's Gamer Subs. It's more delicious. I promise. We blind taste it, and it really is. Get your free samples linked in the description below.
1:14:10Code Caleb to figure out what flavor you like. Then get your Gamer Subs at 40 cents a serving after our discount code as well. Link in the description below. Make your energy drinks at home. That does not have sugar. So you do need to do something sugar, but put some sugar cubes in there or something. I don't know. But make your coffee at home, guys. It's like, f*** this. And then GamerSupp says literally this. So it's like, shut the f*** up. There's no excuses. You're not going out and getting bullshit if we're barely scraping by. You can go out and get bullshit, but not if you're barely scraping by.
1:14:39But also, I'm sorry. There is a f***ing, like, level here. Also, for what it's worth. Like, yes, you should not be getting Starbucks a few times a week, okay? Probably in your situation. But that's not comparable to you dropping$3 ,500 on this kind of shit. Like, that's not even comparable. Having a$40 ,000 gun collection, this is not a comparable thing here. Like, what the f***? You're obviously far beyond a few Starbies a week. You freak. He's even trying to get me something. And I'm like, no, I don't want it. And he's like, oh, I'm going to get it for you anyway at some point. And I'm like, I don't want it.
1:15:18And I tried my best. And it's something that he's like, oh, I'm going to do this for it. I'm going to do that for it. It's like it's more for yourself. No, it's not for me. You're just going to put it under my name. Because you will not buy anything for yourself. So if the burden falls on me. Oh, and yet you just said that I don't buy anything for myself. But I am the problem. Yeah, you are. Because you don't even get stuff that's necessary for life for yourself that I have to go out and buy and guess. She said she gets groceries, dude. She gets groceries from our joint account. But her personal account, she won't spend anything on herself.
1:15:47I don't have enough. I save like$100 from my paychecks. My phone bill is$101. Why? And how come you don't ask me for help with any of that when I literally have said, hey, if you have any upcoming bills, I have$300,$400 that we can get ahead on stuff with. And you know what ends up not happening? We don't get ahead. Because you keep spending it all and reenacting stuff. But how is that my fault when I literally say, hey, if you need money, why isn't it there? Because you don't have it, because you spend it all on reenacting stuff. I've seen people fight who are in dire situations, but you guys shouldn't even be in a dire situation.
1:16:26There must be something coming in this document that explains why the f*** you guys are at each other's throats, but so far it's not. This medical bill is big. It's at$15 ,687.75, okay. But it's not accruing interest or anything. Why aren't you on a payment plan? Because that was when I got shot at the gun shop. and... Your fault. Don't care. Well, it was on the clock regardless and that it was supposed to be taken care of, but it wasn't. Was it? No, it wasn't. I don't care then. Get on a payment plan, you freak. Why f*** your credit if you want to get a new house? This might go to collections and f*** your credit.
1:17:01Yes, it could. You literally are thinking about getting a new house right now and also don't get a new house. Guys, rent. Please rent. If you guys are really scraping by, how are we talking about getting a mortgage? Sell the house. Take the windfall if you have it. Pay off the debts if you change your behavior and start your life. Get a house when you can when you have a fully funded emergency fund. Why are we talking about getting in a house again already so quick? You're not learning your lesson. You couldn't afford living in the current house you live in now. Because we have outgrown the house that we live in now.
1:17:29So why didn't you get workman's comp? Because the owner fought it and threatened me with legal action if it went through. Well, he must have been in the right then. No, he was not. Then fight it. Because if you win, you'll have to pay for your legal fees. Yeah, I was about to say. If you are 100 % right, then absolutely. Go. Go for it. We can't find a lawyer that will take the case. Yes. Well, then you must not be in the right. But I don't know how I'm not in the right when, yes, it happened on the job. And then also at the same time. If lawyers aren't willing to take it on, buddy. I mean, they go for the W.
1:18:07They go for the win. Yeah, the owner said that he was going to pay for it without a doubt, that he was going to pay for it. And then you shocked yourself like a dumbass? No, then he just completely, anytime I would give him a bill that he said he would cover, it would take him four or five weeks. And then on top of the four or five weeks, he would hem and haw. Okay, but why are you not on a minimally payment on this, dude? Because every time I try to get an Aetna to like even just run it through my insurance to run that price down, Aetna will just hang up the phone on it. They say it's workman's comp, and then it gets sent back to the former business that I worked for, and then they send it back to Edna, and they keep sending it back, so it's constantly in limbo to actually.
1:18:48So what, you're just going to allow it to go to collections? Yeah, until that situation. Which is going to f*** your credit when you want to get a new house? Makes this make sense. Like, yes, that sucks. I have sympathy for it. I wish it wasn't like that. But why f*** yourself? Why let the consequence of this fall on your? Because his old boss said I'd pay for it. I agree. He's trying to hold it to him. No, I agree. I'm on your side with this. I agree. But the consequence is he's not going to face any of the consequences. You will by allowing this to go to collections. I would rather get it on a minimum payment and then try to fight it.
1:19:24To me, it's more of like trying to snuff him. Which would be$1 ,308 a month, which essentially eats almost your entire pay, by the way. Yeah. So, I mean, that would be crazy. Shit. I mean, I'm on your side. I don't like it. If it is accurately under workman's comp, I'd rather do that. Talk to some lawyers, some big town lawyers. See what you can get, man. See what you can get. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. Our neighbor even gave you a business card for a lawyer. And I left two voicemails and two emails there. When? When? This was still fresh. When? A couple months ago. A couple months ago.
1:20:02And you haven't followed up? Come on. If he doesn't get immediate results, he loses interest. Discover. Okay, well, this is actually here. This is what I would, this is what actually kind of concerns me, honestly.
1:20:18$2 ,308.47. Listen, okay, it's a balance. It's a balance you could probably pay off. But the thing is, you make a minimum of your payment towards it. Then you spend hundreds of dollars on it. Make that make sense. Well, interest is accruing. Well, you can't even come close to paying it off. Why the f*** are we spending money on it and having that balance go up? Now the minimum monthly payment's higher at$56. Where the f*** are you guys spending on this? Who's spending on it? Whose card? What are you doing, woman? I had a dental that I put on there, and then I had to get a new license plate. It was the license plate, but why are we putting it on a credit card?
1:20:52Because I don't have enough money to... But he does! Why don't we be joint? Why put it on something that is accruing interest that you can't put more than the minimum towards it? Hey, guess what? This takes nine years if you only make minimum monthly payments, which is what you do and you don't spend on it which you are incapable of. So this is going to take 18 years, 30 years? It's going to take forever. Yeah. I don't even have enough money to make the monthly payment on that. Go joint. Why is it me, my, his, yours? Like what the f*** guys? Have everything go in and out of the joint. We're one.
1:21:23Come on. That's what I want but he grew up other ways. Had a very... My parents had a rocky relationship. So I don't give a f***. Do you want you to? because you will and you are. It was working until it didn't. What? Because his dad told him, you make sure you have your own account and then you have your own account. You can have your own account on the side, but everything goes in and out of the joint. Then if there's like some bullshit spending you want on the side, have it go from there from the joint. But bills and income come from joint and into joint. Well, I don't think that goes against your dad's advice.
1:22:03And your dad's f***ing anyway, so don't listen to him. Is he rich? Now he is, yes. Okay, well then maybe he would give some okay advice. Or at least like middle class. That's fine. Does he have a lot of dads? No. Okay, then maybe he's worth listening to. And that wasn't necessarily the wrong advice, but your interpretation of it was incorrect. Everything goes and comes from joint. You can have your own account on the side. Got it. Well, why? Got it. Yeah, I like to see it. Will I see it? No, I don't think so. Why? Why don't you think you'll see it? Because he's too set in his ways. He looks up to his dad.
1:22:39There's nothing wrong with that. But his dad's word is law to him. It can be, yes, especially when he gives solid advice. But you have a wife. And I do listen to her, but— You got to make things work with you guys. You can't just be daddy's boy for your entire life, forever. We do try to make things work, but then she hides stuff. Like, we haven't touched any of your hobbies yet. My hobbies that I spend like$10 a month. $5 ,000 for a camera. How about that? Yeah, that was five years ago when we could afford it. How about all the leatherworking tools? Why are you bringing up things five years ago?
1:23:19That's weird. I haven't bought any camera. It's like trying to cancel someone for something they did. I bought you SD cards for it like last year. Oh, yeah, 20 bucks for SD card. Also, you bought it. I did buy it, yes. You're complaining that you bought? Well, because she won't tell me anything else she likes, so I have to completely guess. I am very hard to Christmas shop for. She's terrible to Christmas shop for. Okay, then don't shop for anything. She'll learn her lesson. Yeah. All right. I don't need anything, and yet you're so, I want to give you this, I want to give you that. I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that.
1:23:49And I do do it for you, and then now you're about that now too? and I try to go out of my way to make sure you have stuff that you actually get to enjoy things I appreciate doesn't sound like it I appreciate you wanting to spoil me there's nothing wrong wrong with wanting to spoil your spouse but when I say no thank you you go ahead and do it anyway I had a mental breakdown because I asked for flowers for my birthday and he refused to give me flowers for like three years. All I wanted was flowers. That's all I asked for. Mental breakdown? What did that look like? It was just crying fit. And that was also like three, four years ago.
1:24:31Did he tell you you were having a mental breakdown? Because you cried at not getting flowers? Because I think that's kind of fair because you're a woman. You're a little crazy. It was three, four years ago and ever since then she's gotten flowers for her birthday, Valentine's Day, and then other occasions. He does finally give me flowers now, but it took me crying and having and big issue because all I asked for was flowers. And I wanted flowers. How's y 'all's relationship? He's getting flowers and just major events. Like, where's the love? How is y 'all's relationship? We have a good relationship.
1:25:06We do. When it's like nothing else going on. Like, taking the finances out of the relationship. But isn't everything? Because finances will always be in the relationship. The kids will, for a very long time, be in a relationship. Finances are always, you'll always have a bill to pay. You'll always have income, jobs switching. So is that not impactful? How often do you guys... A lot. Okay, that's good. A lot. Are we safe this time? I have my tubes tied. She snipped. I can't get pregnant. Thank goodness. Okay. No more crotch goblins. That's good. That's better than most couples on this show. But if you think finances aren't going to play a major role through the rest of time...
1:25:45Like finances does play a major role, but... Forever! It will. But when, like, finances aside, and when we're having a good day, we have a pretty chance. What constitutes good day, bad day, though? She will say it's my mood. Yes, it is his mood. And then... It's usually the other way around, by the way. It's usually the woman. And she... You're the woman. You're a bottom. No. You're a little... No. Definitely not. Uh-huh. Huh? Because it'll be... Y 'all's day comes down to your mood? You little pussy. Her mood does also affect me. Like, if she's in a bad mood... We mirror each other, unfortunately.
1:26:28We mirror each other. Yeah, but is she ever in a bad mood, or is she only in a bad mood when you're in a bad mood? She is in her own bad moods all the time. Absolutely. She very much disagrees. Yeah, of course she would. You are the leading mood. No. Why are you in such a bad mood? but oh, the label was wrong? Or like USDA came down on us for like something. So just do your f***ing job, dude. I don't understand. I do. It's like not even like impacting your life. His issue is stupid co-workers, stupid drivers, or something. Stupid drivers? Everyone interacts with stupid drivers every day. How do you allow that to affect your home life?
1:27:05I hate traffic. Everyone does, and you live in the middle of nowhere, so you don't know what traffic is. Shut the f*** up. You don't know what traffic is, and everyone deals with traffic. If we let that impact our day life at home and kids and wife, like what is wrong with you? Just driving down here, it was like, bitch this, f*** that. And it was like, dude, relax. Sometimes I do it for like try to make a joke, but it doesn't work. I yell at everyone on the road too. I don't take it home and beat my wife like you do, freak. How often times is he drinking? He doesn't drink. Okay. That's good. Shocking, I know.
1:27:44I thought you'd go out to the bar with the boys, though. Well, he does, but he doesn't drink. I don't drink in excess. It's only like one or two drinks. Oh, so he drinks. He doesn't give f*** up. I don't give f*** up, no. Okay, who's the freedom card? That'll be me. Okay, you're also a f***ing moron. You're spending money when you can't pay it off. You made the minimum payment, didn't you spend on it? You owe$4 ,978.34 with a minimum monthly payment of$155. interest is accruing$105 a month takes 16 years to pay off if you do minimums, no purchases but again, just like your significant other you can't not purchase what is wrong with you?
1:28:21just buy something and then worry about it later I guess, yeah see where that got us? oh, his money isn't going to the beverages when he's going out with the boys it's on the lap dances that was not my money in that video but yes. In that video? Yes, so we... There's a video somewhere. There's a video somewhere in the friend group that someone has it. Reenacting is pretty freaking gay. What the fuck are you spending on a card? And it's Amazon too. Pull up your Amazon, little freak. Almost half a thousand bucks on interest this year. Actually, by the time... No, at the time we are filming right now, it's definitely half a thousand dollars.
1:29:00This is crazy. So stupid. And that's all your debt. Like, I mean, it's bad, but this is manageable, guys. I don't think you understand. Just don't spend it on your credit cards. Get on a payment plan with the medical debt or actually fucking put the feet to the fire. Show up places. Doesn't have the Amazon app. And then just your parents. Like, this is not that bad, guys. He has three things in his cart instead of actually paying shit off. Cast iron skillet. I guess you don't have that. Do you really need this big coffee pot? Probably not. You don't need. Okay. See, he's doing it. He wants a grinder.
1:29:32No, dude, just get into the. A grinder? Yeah, like a coffee grinder. You don't need to get into the whole thing. Just get the small single serve. Shut the fuck up. Get pre-grunned beans. You're poor. You don't need to be. You actually don't make poor money for the cost of living area you are. You just stop at the gas station and get a canister of Folgers. Okay, you can do better than that. But yes, I mean, I understand where you're coming from. Folgers is the only coffee company I know. That's okay. Yeah, I try not to spend too, too often on Amazon. Okay, yeah, yeah. every once in a while. Yeah, well, you did.
1:30:05Shut the fuck up. Dapp would be too tempting. Shut the fuck up. Purchase history. Yeah, you're getting like Amazon gift cards and stuff. I don't know. It wants you to buy a massive battery. What are you trying to do? Equiflow. Portable battery. For your camping, it's like 800 bucks. Don't. You must be shopping for that kind of shit. We were looking at it for like stuff for like the house and stuff like that. Well, I got them and they're wonderful, but I have money. The only big thing that we need to get is a flipping generator for the house. Every once in a while, our power does go out badly. Every once in a while.
1:30:40Our power went out when we were leaving the house to come down here. Yeah, it's not his fault. Why are you angry at him for that? Because he'd rather buy it to use for camping instead of the house. You're a scary creature. I hate people like you. Why aren't you tracking your screen time already? Piece of shit. Okay, checking out. Is this the joint, Chase? Chase? Chase will be my checking account. Oh, you spent a lot of money. Only 300 bucks in there? Yeah, it's all bullshit, dude. Like, you. Yeah, this is your fault. You're pathetic. You're not a good father. You're a bad partner. This is disgusting.
1:31:13You're zelling out money. Microsoft. PayPal paying for Steam games. Aladdin. Steam games? Aladdin, Aladdin. You're spending money on games? Every once in a while, yeah. Why? Because I try— Oh, because you don't have the right airplane? No, definitely not. It's more so like I try to buy nostalgia games for my youth. Oh, shut. Oh, you pathetic freak. Do it later. You don't even play the video games you currently have. I do. What games were so exciting during your Hitler youth? Hitman. Oh, my God. Shut the fuck up. What's Aladdin? You're going to Aladdin every five seconds. Aladdin is the shopping market.
1:31:55Well, you're stopping in and getting things for like four bucks. What are you getting? Usually like salads and stuff like that when I was at college. Aladdin's like the... Go f*** yourself, pack a salad.
1:32:09Spotify, eBay. Yeah, there's some more collectible shit. Vending machine, vending machine, that ain't a salad. Selling on money, selling on money, selling on money, selling on money, PayPaling on money. Yeah, bullshit, get into bullshit. PayPal paying for Disney+. eBay collectibles again. And Taco Bell paying for, paying for, getting some bullshit. PayPal, PayPal, PayPal. I hope I see your PayPal in here because you do a lot of PayPal. And then eBay collectibles are getting an Apple bill. What the fuck are you doing? Okay, so pay later. What's this? What am I saying? That is the PayPal paying for.
1:32:42What are you getting? International phase? eBay again, so he's getting collectible bullshit. Yeah, that's reenacting stuff. What is this? That's reenacting stuff. Fuck you. Oh, there is more debt. Shit. Oh, yeah, the mortgage. Okay, you have an equity position in your home. That's nice. Of like$70 ,000, just about. He'll walk away with like, what,$50 ,000? So$71 ,426.47. What's your interest rate? You don't know your mortgage interest rate? Not off the top of my head. What's your minimum repayment?
1:33:21$673. I'm seeing$695. $695.90. I want to know your interest though how do you guys not know your interest in your fucking mortgage guys so there you go you're going to go get a 6 % interest somewhere when you're likely in a gorgeous like 2 % I think it's closer to like 4 % on the house so you're going to double your interest if you're lucky yeah good luck old second who's this she actually has money maybe she can spend some she has 3 ,700 in there going in and getting some bullshit It's a bullshit. Treehouse Ventures multiple times. That's the kid's playground that she takes him to every once in a while.
1:34:03Costs some money? Yes, it does. Yeah, so it's like a play place you take him to. But in this, what is this? What's this old second? There's another old second? Yeah, that would be our joint account. What the f***? In the joint account, we're getting McDonald's, DoorDashing, Burger King, Amazon, Amazon, getting some bullshit, Amazon DoorDashing again, PayPal money out. Again, this is bullshit. You guys spend so much money. You can't say you're scraping by when you spend hundreds, if not thousands, on bullshit. You really can't. It's pathetic. IRA, well, nothing. It's like 900 bucks. Yeah, exactly.
1:34:39Oh, this is your Kia. Okay. Guys, I mean, you just don't spend the money on bullshit, and you should be able to make progress on this. We would be fine. This makes no fucking sense. If you prove it for a few months, you can consolidate your debt with a personal loan from Calebhammer.com if you prove you can fix this, your behavior, so you don't end up in the same situation again, and you'll be fine. Like, I don't understand. This is so stupid. You guys are so stupid. All right. And then you guys are bickering about nothing. Just don't spend money on bullshit, and there's nothing to fight about.
1:35:10Like, what is wrong with you guys? Now, the minimum fee payment might be higher if you have to get on that medical. And, I mean, it'll f*** your collections if you don't. I am, unfortunately. but all debt including mortgage is$1 ,406 a month and nine cents it'll practically double if you have to do and 90 cents if you have to do the medical but what's your utilities gas electric internet monthly basis okay let's see 300 bucks 300 bucks phone bills well you're on your mom you 101 do helium if T-Mobile's good in that area uses that same kind of service same towers but I think you have to pay off your phone first if you don't yeah So what, 101?
1:35:52101 every quarter. Oh, well, if it's like that, then that's not that bad. Sorry, I should have brought that up. That's different. Yeah, it's like. And then we don't have to worry about paying for water for our house. It's still more expensive, but that's fine. $33.66. Gas, vroom, vroom, drive, drive, monthly basis. So I'm about$240 a month. You? Probably nothing. He doesn't let you go outside, but how much? Maybe$100 a month. Going further than I thought. I guess at the enclosed play place and McDonald's. 340 car insurances? Car insurance is 82. For both? His dad pays his car insurance. My dad still pays for my car insurance.
1:36:36Is the 60-month-year-old on tit? Yes. And then she does go to formula. We should be able to do the household food on, I think less than this, but we'll start at 800. Meal prep, meal plan. Warming up meals, doing the meal prep meal plan, follow that. It's based on our grocery store, HEB, and I know Meijer is pretty similar, so shut the fuck up. TP fund, anything else you need to survive? You and the kids, including going to the play place. I'll put a little extra money there. I'll say$300. Let's see where that goes. Medical health care. Are there co-pays, monthly basis for different things? Yeah, no.
1:37:08Medications, nothing. Okay, good. Gym? No, gym. Okay. Subscriptions, I'll try. $50. You choose where it goes. You said there's pets. How many of what? Three cats. Okay. Healthy? Young? Yes. Healthy and young. Okay,$150 for pet insurance because how the fuck would you guys take care of them if something were to happen? $175. $175, even worse. Okay. Pet food, pet litter, how much a month? $100 a month. Okay. Anything else that needs to be in this budget that's not? Let's see. I can't think of anything. No, I don't think so. Shouldn't be. Unless you got anything hiding. No. Does he hide stuff often?
1:37:47Yeah. I didn't find out that he... Okay, we'll just stop. I'm making the budget. We'll talk about that in the post show. We'll talk about his hiding and crazy shit that she found in the post show, apparently, which is f***ing insane. But yeah, just have even more marks against you, guy. $3 ,587 is what you need to survive, which means, guys, I mean, with your income before your second job, you have. With your second job, you're going to make an extra$1 ,000 a month soon? Yes. Is that what it's going to be? So this makes no sense. You're going to make$5 ,800. so it's called a month. $3 ,600. You have to spend$2 ,200.
1:38:24This is so f***ing stupid. You guys are so f***ing stupid. What is wrong with you guys? Even if you have to pay all your debt back, medical debt, without selling your house, all this shit, $2 ,200. This is so f***ing stupid. I don't understand you guys' position.
1:38:42You guys paid off in literally just over a year. This is disgusting. You guys are pathetic. Stop bickering. Stop budgeting. Use DollarWise. Get on the same page. Stop spending money on bullshit. Make it more money and put it all towards the... This is pathetic. Okay, we're going to figure out what he's been hiding. Maybe that's why they're all fighting constantly. It's so stupid in the post show. Let's get the hammer financial score first. What the... Just over a year to pay off? This is disgusting. You guys are pathetic. Spending in a budget... He won't even sell his guns. Go fuck yourself. You overspent zero out of ten.
1:39:08Debt? Well, nothing in collections yet that medical will be. But until then, it's not the worst. Family debt's not great, so I'll bring it down to a two. Emergency fund? I didn't see anything. You had some money in your checking, but I'm not going to count that much. How much? How much? $3 ,000. Yeah, I was going to say$3 ,000. Okay, I would definitely put it in an account, especially when you've had a home invasion. I give you guys a 4 out of 10. Retirement, that must have been what boosted up your score versus what we saw in documents when you answered it online, CalebHammer.com for yours. But retirement score, I'm glad you have an IRA, but it's practically nothing.
1:39:41It's 1 out of 10. Real estate, it's actually halfway decent. You owe on the roof still for your mom. I'm going to hit that against the score, but it's still pretty good at a 7 out of 10. It would probably be like a 9 without that. 9 out of 10 because of the mortgage, which is technical risk, even though it's not necessarily bad. 3 out of 10, just like you got online, CalebHammer.com. There's a video of my... From men? Sometimes when they're out working and it's hot, they have to strip down to just their underwear. You know, you can't be caught with the wrong underwear. Corvo, I think there's something else you're not telling her.
