1:39I service life insurance policies and annuities. Cool. What are you making? Could be money. Like$23 an hour. It's okay money. Las Vegas, up and down on the price scale. Certainly make it more affordable compared to the states next door, but definitely has gone up in price since the pandemic for sure. What hits your account on a monthly basis from this job? We're looking at probably$2 ,600 net. Okay, cool. And you, Mr. Timothy? Hopefully a correct answer, real answer. I am an architectural concept and interior designer. Okay. It's either$0 or a lot of dollars typically. So which one is it in this case?
2:25It's a monthly. I get about$4 ,400. Okay. Not bad. Not bad at all. Good. Good. Good. Good. That's what hits your account. Yeah. $70 ,000 a year is my salary. Good. We love it. How are we living in Las Vegas, guys? $7 ,000 a month net? Ain't half bad. How are we doing? How's life? Obviously, we're choosing to live comfortably. And that's why we're here is because we've hit a few kind of emergencies, you know, where you needed some emergency fund. Why didn't you have an emergency fund? Well, I first got my job right out of college, moved right to Las Vegas, met her two months after I moved out there.
3:04So my lifestyle out there started off in the, you know, dating, exploring, you know, doing new stuff, buying new stuff, going on vacations. And then the wedding. I'm confused. That's your emergency fund? Is poking your dick at things? My emergency? No, I... No, it was on, like, dates and gifts and vacations. All for her. Specifically, I don't know if it was just a slip of your brain of meaning what you're actually talking about. You said emergency fund. Yeah, we didn't have an emergency fund because I prioritized... You said fund. Fun? Emergency fund. Fund. Emergency funds. I'm glad you're correcting it, but I'm a little nervous of how you said it.
3:48No. Emergency funds. No, we didn't have emergency money because we prioritized. If your emergency fund is going and sticking in different people, I'm a little nervous for him to live in a city that's known for strippy. I didn't. I met her two months into moving. 4:31Why are you guys talking about that back then? I'm so confused. How'd you get back there? How did you get back there? Did I ask about back there? How did we get back there? Because I was talking about how we're living, we were living comfortably. Guys, I'm asking how life is. You're making$84 ,000 a year net as a household. I'm asking how life is and we're like, back then was this. We're still living comfortably and prioritizing things that we probably shouldn't. Like fun and convenience. We like to buy things for our daughter. That's the number. A daughter? Yes. One child? Yes. Age? Three. Cool.
5:09So you guys are married, right? Yes. How long? It'll be five years this fall. Okay. Coming on financial audit, five years into marriage. I mean, that's one of the longer marriages, I'll be honest. And I'm a little concerned at, why the fuck are the finances bad five years into a marriage? Well, basically, I had a baby, obviously, three years ago. We went down to one income and kind of - How long were you out? Eight months. And then we switched and he was a stay-at-home dad for two years. Why? Because the mental load on her and the reality of being a stay-at-home mom was a lot. What is that? Wait.
5:51What was that for you? I mean, you guys make money now. We could have afforded some kind of daycare or something. We did for like a day and a half. For a day and a half. So why did you stay at home for two years? Because, I mean, you might understand if you ever have kids someday, but when you put your kid in a daycare and you can watch them on camera all day being ignored, but it's just, they basically put her in a bouncer and then ignored her all day. Maybe a different place. My concern is, well, my main concern is, again, she's making half the income of you. We can't live off of$2 ,600 a month, right?
6:25That's, I mean, that's$31 ,200 a year. We can't live off of that. So I'm okay with stay-at-home parenting. I'm not, in fact, it might be preferable. I'm not criticizing that at all. I am criticizing 30 ,000 hours a year being the income we're living off of in a, not a cheap city. Yeah, there was, he was supposed to have like his own kind of side business doing the same thing and things just didn't. Doing the same thing? Watching kids? No. Doing 3D renderings, modeling, design. Okay. I was making 90 ,000 at the time. Did you ask to work at home? Yeah. Instead of that? Yep. They said no. Fair enough.
7:06They offered it to another employee, though. They would let him work a week from home and then a week in the office. So I asked for the same thing, and they told me no. They just straight up said no? Yeah. And I asked for more money. They said no. They said you're basically— Excuse me. Can I work at home and get more money, please? I sat down. One or the other? I said, excuse me, guys. I said, you know, we just had a dollar. My wife stopped working. Like, I need, you know, a little bit more money, or I need the flexibility to work at home for a week and then work in the office for a week. You make good money for what it's worth.
7:33And they straight up told me they were like, no, you'll just be babysitting when you're home. 9:24Seriously, go search yourself before someone else does. But they didn't even give me the chance to prove myself. That's the thing is they're thinking rather than giving me even like say like, hey, OK, we'll do this for a temporary period. Because even during the pregnancy, I was working from home and taking care of her because she had a very rough pregnancy. But it is different than taking care of a newborn. Yes, it is. But at the same time, I wouldn't have been the full-time care. She would still have been the full-time caretaker of our daughter. I just would have been there for a little bit of help.
9:55But can you understand the perspective, though? I can, but they can have you who's not there, not doing work, not collaborating with others, or someone who is. They took somebody else in who did the job worse to me, and they were asking me. Says the former employee. No, the guy was texting me after I quit because he needed help. He was like, oh, I'm so worried that I can't compare to you. And then he's like, can you help me? What did you do for this? He's the employee. That's not your boss texting you. That's your phone number. No, yeah, I didn't help him at all. But the thing is they filled the spot of me with somebody worse.
10:28Everyone's against every company that they leave or get fired from. What another employee was doing. Everyone thinks they're bigger than the company they left. The worst thing was that they - I like how he starts talking the moment I start. Like he pauses, I pause. and then I jump into a sentence and then he jumps in at the same exact time. How do you think our conversations go? I'm supposed to be the one that interrupts people. Let's get that straight. That's my thing. Yeah. I just get used to it. I just sit back. The worst thing was they told me two times, we'll figure something out, we'll figure something out and they made no effort to figure anything out.
11:00Yeah, sounds like they were honestly pushing it. Once she finally hit her breaking point, I was like, I'll do this from home. I'll do it freelancing because then I'm open to more companies hiring me. But they said no. Yeah, they said no. So I was like, okay. Which they can. Yeah, absolutely. And it's fine. And I was like, okay. I was like, I'll go do it freelancing. Yeah, I quit. Because I was like, I can do this freelancing. I can get more companies. And unfortunately, it just. And was this the company that threatened to sue you? Yeah, because after I quit, I sent them along. Well, after I had a seizure because of the stress that was added to our life, like a full-blown grand mal seizure, I sent them an email.
11:35I was like, hey, guys, I just had a full-blown seizure. This is, you know, on your guys' part because you guys have added all this extra stress to my life. You guys don't care about neurodivergent employees. Neurodivergent? What's your neurodivergent? I don't know. Ginger? I got to go in and get tested at some point. I might be ADHD or autistic. He doesn't have anything. He doesn't fucking have anything. And he emails the fucking company saying, you don't care about neurodivergent. By the way, I don't have anything. You don't care. No, I've done the self-assessments. I've been assessed with. What, did you take an online autism quiz?
12:10Yeah. Oh, that's like the Harry Potter house assessment quiz. Those are so nothing. All right. Well, I know how my brain works, and it's f***ed up. And I don't think it's normal, so I find it neurodivergent because I'm not neurotypical. No, I feel like you went down the rabbit hole of self-diagnosed forever. Now, you had a seizure. That's something. But come on, self-diagnosing. way my brain over operates. They go get diagnosed, you take! Yeah, I need to. I've been dealing with some other... This was multiple years ago. No, it was like two years ago. And I've been dealing with other specialists and neurologists and psychiatrists.
12:48Procedure, but you've never been diagnosed. You can't go to the company and say, hey, this was your fault because you don't care about mental people. Well, obviously, that's why I cease and desist. Yeah, and you probably deserved it. Right? And I took it, and that's what it is. And you cease and desisted? Yeah. I stopped bothering them. Good. Until I got back onto a good mental page after my psychiatrist and I apologized. That was the last time I sent him an email was an apology for, you know, lashing out and doing what I did. But you were TikTok diagnosed. Let's be honest. I don't believe that.
13:17I'm going to go in. That might have started it for sure. That's where I learned about it. But then. This is a whole generation and a half of people that get on TikTok and they're like, you're this, you're this, you're this. and they can just endlessly, endlessly pile it upon each other's brains. They convince each other that they're victims, that they're self-diagnosed. Like this is like crazy what is happening with these generations. And you're doing it. You emailed your company. This is insane. This is insane. I can't believe where we are as a culture. This is crazy. That's not even politics.
13:52That's just crazy. My goodness. You took an online autism quiz and you emailed your company saying, This was your fault because you don't care about like me. Like two seconds where I was like, I'm going to take this test. Okay. I just found this out. No, it was like a long freaking winded, like long looking at tick tocks. And they're like, I'm, I'm autistic. I'm autistic. You're autistic too. No, it was like, oh my gosh. Research into doctors and what doctors. Research into doctors. Not into doctors, but what doctors studies have put out about the conditions and the symptoms. Which is why you've been officially clinically diagnosed.
14:26No, I haven't. Oh, that's interesting. That's really curious. I will go and get clinically diagnosed. You've had two years to do it. Your neurologist did offer to refer you and you said no. What the f*** are you doing? You f***. You actual creature. Oh, you deserve that cease and desist. Yeah, I did. That's why I took it and. Well, you can't really do much with that. Right. But I mean, I didn't fight it or doing it. It was what it was. They sent it. Listen, that's honestly a little bit of bulls***. Okay, listen. If someone here personally was like, I need to work from home because I just had a kid and need to help my wife, I would have allowed a temporary with a hopeful end for that work of home.
15:07Because we're very collaborative, right? Because we're working in art and you kind of were too in a different way. That's a very good employee. Okay, sure. Quiet. I would allow that for a little bit. I'd allow that because that's how I operate with a hopeful end date. But I understand the collaboration in an artistic environment like making YouTube videos or architecture or things like that. I get that. That being said, she calls you on your bulls. Yeah, she does. Like if you don't know, if they don't know, if there's not proper communication, not proper diagnosis, no one can do anything with anything.
15:38No one can do with anything they don't know. I told them. But you didn't know. She just said you did not know. No, but I told them that I was stressed. I told them that it wasn't that my health was going down. And they said, that's your fault. You set the expectations. Hold on. Hold on. For what it's worth, for what it's worth, what's the size of your team? It was a company of about... What's the size of your team? Per project, like 10 people. And here's the thing. If we work in a small company, you know, we got 25 people here. If one person is saying, hey, this job is really stressing me out.
16:12I can't do it anymore. I can't do it anymore. I can't do it anymore. That's really difficult because that f***s everyone. Because on a small team, you f*** everyone. And I would honestly, I know this is more brutalistic, but I would rather get someone in there that is able to perform to support the whole team than not. Now, if we're in an organization of a thousand people, that's where there's more flexibility. Apple is able to have that more flexibility. Google is able to have that more flexibility. Hammer Media is not. I was managing just the 3D renderings and there was no reason I couldn't do it from home because it was a very capable position.
16:42I wasn't collaborating half the time. But it's their choice nine years. Right. Yeah, absolutely. That was it. But they, you know, I was doing it probably five times faster than what they could outsource it for because you outsource renderings. Yeah, it takes. It's always a former employee that says they made the biggest impact and they've done the most and they can do everything the best. This is what everyone does ever. When I left another job, I did that. I had three projects in my new company where the employees have straight up told me. He's still doing it. They straight up told me like, hey, we needed somebody like you at this company a long time ago.
17:13And if he leaves you, he will say, or if you leave him or whatever, break up. Like I was the best father. The new father is not even close to as good. I was the best father no matter what. I was the best guy he'll ever have. I was a good guy. In fact, I was the real guy. She doesn't deserve me. I was the good guy. This is how he operates in life. I know these people. Come on. You're the good guy. You're r slash good guy. I'm just filling you in on what happened. From your very skewed perspective. I'm just telling you the exact facts of how things went down and why I got out of my... You know, now that you say that, I hear it.

17:58alright guys what a okay oh my gosh okay so before we went down that rabbit hole I'm assuming you're saying this all started at the you no longer having a job is that what I'm hearing when I quit my job yeah that's when everything snowballed now he quit his job why didn't he what was his job finding process for a remote or part-time position during that? So my perspective is we had the plan to have him freelance. He had one company lined up where he was supposed to do the modeling for these new builds. I don't know what they were, houses or whatever. And so my impression was, okay, we're going to be having around 100 ,000 by the end of the year.
18:45That carries us so I can work for 50 ,000. I think it was a little less than that. and then come maybe February we were in Disneyland and I was like oh when is this going to start and he said he hadn't heard from them jobless in Disneyland no we were on vacation yeah we went on vacation moron you didn't have a job why are we going to Disneyland when we don't have a job jobless in Disneyland also why the kid was like what half a year old seven months definitely when they're forming memories yeah it was cheap but i think it's because it rained the whole time so we took advantage of the the cheaper prices you guys didn't make money okay so i was making money just for a couple months so yeah no offense but i mean add your money to his yes it is a significant contributor but if we live off of yours alone we can't yes we so he promised he had jobs lined up and he was going to be working he didn't promise he just kind of alluded to the fact of well that's the plan you guys made together is what you were essentially saying.
19:48Yeah. That was kind of a promise without saying I promise. Yeah. That was my impression was that this new job was going to start in the new year. And then it never did. And when I asked, it was like, oh, we never finalized anything. And I asked, you know, have you reached out to them? Oh, I haven't heard back. And then eventually, I think after that vacation, he reached out. What's wrong with you? Why aren't you stepping up? You guys couldn't even survive. From your perspective. From my point of view, the Jedi are evil. I mean, I can try to pull up the emails from when I was contacting them to see, but I swear I was emailing them, you know, at least once every two weeks.
20:30So your perspective is that you emailed them every two weeks? From my memory, yeah. Yeah, but if you were the reason we're in this mess, and you promised without saying the word promise that you would be working on this for your wife and child, newborn, by the way, and then you didn't, that's a bit. I was reaching out to companies, other companies and them. They just never got back to me. I never saw anything. He just, I never asked either, though, to be fair. Why were you pushing him? Because I was already stressed out and I didn't want to ask. Yeah, because you guys didn't make any money and the dude wasn't stepping up at all.
21:01And he stayed home for two years doing nothing. Jerking off in strippers. I don't know. It's Vegas. I'm just assuming. He's always with her and he can't drive. So he wasn't working. He reached out to companies, didn't fulfill his promise, and we just started going further and further into debt. How did this process look? What did life look like? What were we doing? Sadly, we were kind of living the same lifestyle off of my income. I tried to take the reins of consolidating our debt through some kind of... Consolidating? Okay. Yeah, some kind of debt relief company. I don't know. But that ended up making it way worse.
21:40I thought I was under the impression That they would make minimum payments Because I was keeping up with minimum payments To at least pay for everything Keep our credit high We owned a house at the time So making mortgage payments How are you guys even affording a mortgage? Our mortgage was Like$1 ,800 a month Yeah but you're It was honestly cheaper Yeah but you're making$26 Sure at the time with low rates Yeah. But you're making$2 ,600. No, you could have rented a smaller space. I know the newborn's not ideal, but 100 % could have. Could have. That's what we ended up doing. We ended up renting a house.
22:20Wait, so you sold your house? Yeah, we had to sell our house. Had to? What's had to? It was the easiest solution to get out of all the debt, pay off all of our debt.
22:35so we sold the asset we were on that was going up in value that we likely had a low interest rate on paid off all our debt and now we're into when now we're in a ton of debt again in hindsight i read it because the markets kind of cooled off and houses aren't really selling as much doesn't matter at least you would have been in it good luck getting in right now you also would have been locked into a low rate what you care about a two-year movement not a 10 year 20 year. Come on. That doesn't make any sense. You paid off your debt and now you're on the show, which means fun fact, you have debt.
23:05Yeah. So you made no progress, lost an asset and lost a great rate that we're probably not going to see for at least decades. Which was partially my fault because of my credit card. We racked up before we sold the house. We racked up. Why? Why were you racking up so much debt guy that wasn't working for filling promises? I am terrible with seeing the credit line and I thought that was spendable money rather than going off and setting a budget. I feel like you guys have very different perspectives. I feel like you guys have very different perspectives on this, especially with the in my opinion, in my opinion, from my perspective it's just I don't trust what you guys honestly say in front of the other person right now.
23:47So I'm going to do a little thing that we haven't done because I want to hear what you honestly think about what the other person saying and what the other person thinks and what is actually going on in your situation. 25:50And now back in debt, give the perspective. It's huge, to be honest. Now is not as bad, but once we paid off his credit cards, I didn't allow him to. His credit cards? Did you have any debt? I did, but I didn't pay off mine. Why did you guys pay off his credit cards? Because it was higher. Higher amount, higher interest rate. Okay. And I did pay down mine. I just didn't pay it off. So. So you'd say he's a, would you say he's the significant contributor to all this debt? Uh, yes. Yeah. Now. And what do you think his perspective is? What do you think he would say? He would blame it on like me being a new mom, my mental health and that.
26:32He blames your guys' debt on you being a new mom and your mental health. Yeah. Cause we did make a joint decision for him to stay home. I just didn't think it would last two years. Yeah. Two years is wild. 27:12When did he start working this job that he has now? February of this year. He was doing this for two years. What do you think about that? Two years. What is your honest take? He doesn't hear this. He will when he watches it, but you have a few weeks. Come on. What do you think of the fact that he sat on his ass for two years? Yeah. 27:47And he wasn't even looking anywhere. That's unacceptable. That's actually borderline disgusting. Yeah. That is like, he's not being a man. You said it. Straight up. Yeah. Oh my goodness. And you, did you consider it all? Did you consider, I know there's a kid involved and that makes it so much harder. But was there any thought in your head of like no longer being there? Dude wasn't sticking up. Dude wasn't fighting. Yeah, there was definitely the thought. And then it kind of ran through my mind of like, is he going to want like alimony or something like that? I don't know how any of that works.
28:26And you didn't because of that? Not the only reason, but that was definitely something. How close were you? I don't know. Maybe like for a 40 % chance. That's huge. Yeah. That's huge. Yeah. You married someone who refused to step up. What finally pushed him to get a job earlier this year, a few months ago, just a few months ago? He's probably going to try to sue them. It was just me and his parents nagging him. You had to bring his parents into it for him to act like a f***ing adult? He's 32. Yeah. I mean, since we all live together, they wanted, of course, we pay half the mortgage. So it was, my income was basically getting wiped out.

Here's the thing. I want to know, in your opinion, how much of the reason you guys are in debt is because of you? How much of the reason you guys are in debt is because of her? So, you know, the two-year situation and everything. I already have her perspective. I would say a lot of it was because of me. Really? Yeah. And how much would you say is on her? Like percentage-wise or? Yeah. Like 25%. Okay. So 25 % is on her.
29:53Why did you decide to get a job recently? After two years, what finally pushed you to go get this job? I've been looking for over two years. Oh, God. Not over two years, but I've been looking for longer than when I just started. um probably the last actually yeah close to a year ago i started looking um once we moved into our new house because your new house are like a family like like our family house that we have now um and that's when like we had daycare situated that's when i was able to you know get back into you know really pressing and getting into the work field and what is you now that you're living with your parents what does your parents perspective spend on all this you not working and everything?
30:37Obviously, they were pushing me to get a job, and so now that I'm working again, they're obviously very supportive. They drive me to work every day since I'm not allowed to drive. You're 32? Yeah. You need your parents to push you to get a job after two years? No, they didn't push me. They didn't push me. They just helped me with the daycare situation. You were sitting on your ass, not doing anything, if we're being honest. Come on. Come on. I mean, I was watching my daughter. How do you think she felt? My daughter? Kylie. Kylie. Well, I mean, not great 100 % of the time. I know that from our arguments that we've had.
31:12Arguments? Yeah. What do you think was going through her head? What kind of work was she trying to do to bring in extra money?
31:22I don't remember any, like, extra money. You don't remember anything in the conversations that she still has even that has happened that she was doing to turn? Do you think she ever considered leaving you? Recently, I know she's been looking at jobs that bring in more money. Recently? Do you think she ever considered leaving you? Yeah. Yeah. But he did consider it to be a little bit more his fault. And he knows you considered leaving. You guys talked about it. You threatened to go back home. Yeah. They, I hope they see this. they're probably disgusted disgusted I would be do they know you're negative I think they've known we've I don't know we don't really talk about money we barely talk about finances with each other let alone other people your parents yeah we are going to call them in the post show and you are going to confess that instead of the money you owe them you are blowing it all and we'll go over the exact amount because we're going to find out you're going to tell them that and you go negative in your checking account instead of paying them back and hopefully they glad you have to do that it's insane it's insane yeah i want to make the daughter-in-law i'll make his son they have oh my gosh so they looked up the area there are listings for rental homes in the area for less than what you guys are paying your parents they just sent me five homes that are cheaper to rent the entire home than what you guys are paying to your parents what are you doing You have no independence.
39:42And they can still watch him. You're close. That doesn't mean the parents don't watch their grandchild, right? You don't have to live with them for that. What are we doing? You blow all your money. This is disgusting. This is unacceptable. Well, part of the mortgage payment that we kind of give to them is paying them back. But that's only agreed. Does it go towards paying them back? Yeah. What? 300 a month. 300 a month, yeah. Great, so okay. But it's only for half of that. So it takes 300 months? Basically. Now with the other 15 ,000, yeah. Yeah. Other 15. Yeah, it was two different 15 ,000. We'll get to that, I guess.
40:24So we know what came in. Right? We know what comes in our monthly basis, 7 ,000. Something extra did come in. We had a big wire hit. What was that? Was that the 15 ,000? Yeah. Yeah, that was part of the loan. So his parents gave us$15 ,000 so that we could pay off one of his. It's always his debt. Why is it always his debt? Because he has a better credit score and he had more income. So we put a lot of the debt under his name. And you're okay with this or does he push for it to always be his debt? Because it's like always his debt. No, I mean, especially for that personal loan. That's years ago when I was trying to consolidate both of our debt.
41:08I don't know why I didn't include mine. It's just always his. And it feels like he only has a decent credit score because his mommy and daddy take care of them. They put me on an authorized user card when I was very young. I didn't use it when I was young. You're such a baby. I didn't use it when I was younger. Did you guys plan to have a kid? But they put me on an authorized user card so I'd kill my credit when I was younger. Okay, you can stop rambling. Well, it was an accident and then we chose to once that didn't work. So it was like four months of planning. So$7 ,000 normally comes in. It was like$20 ,000 this time because he had$15 ,000 wired in.
41:41Okay. What was spent? What went out? This includes, yes, putting money towards things and whatnot, but this is total out. So since I paid off that loan thing, I'd say$20 ,000 that month. That month? What loan thing? The settlement thing. You're including that? Yeah. 59:21Yeah, it's utilities, gas. However, they build you out in every way possible. So yes, you probably should. But you should just probably pay them back for the debt, not pay them for daycare. It gets a little weird. But$35 ,100 a year is substantial. $3 ,000 is essentially a month in rent. That's brutal. Plus the$300 that you pay on the debt to them. That's insane. That's included. Yeah. The$300 a month. What is our plan with the living situation, guys? because, again, it's a bit weird. Are we going to just live there forever? I'd love to move out maybe in like three to five years. 59:57Yeah. I want to build a savings and stop using. I agree what you could have done, but you blow$1 ,800 and just going out to eat alone. And then there's other spending categories. The credit cards is about$1 ,000. Student loans we're going to let sit. Chartered office we're going to let sit. And that car loan doesn't exist.
1:35:57So$31 ,000 is what we need to focus on paying off. $2 ,000 a month takes 15 months. This is the easiest world. Takes 13 months. Boom. Fully funded emergency fund.
