0:36Link in the description and pinned comment below. Hi, my name is Violet. I'm 21 years old. Hi, my name is Max. I'm 25 years old. I live in Tampa, Florida. And this is Financial Audit. I live in Tampa, Florida, not we live in Tampa. All right. Oh, that's okay. Well, let's start with you, Violet. You're the one in front of me. What do you do for living in Tampa? Right now I am a leasing agent. My actual. You look like it. You look, you. Yep. We step, we step into the apartment lobby. You're there and you're acting like we're an inconvenience, even though you're only jobs to show us what a demo apartment looks like.
1:12Oh, 100%. Yeah. She shows one apartment, sends out 10 AI emails a day. And then my boss is proud of me. So yeah, I make more than you. Oh, all right. I don't know about that. Okay. Okay. Well, let's speak on that. Yeah? What do you make? I make$22 an hour plus commission. That's more than you? Oh, plus commission. Plus commission. Well, what's hitting your account on a monthly basis on average? I just started, so I haven't gotten my first commission check. That's why your boss is happy with you, because you haven't had the chance to - To do things, I know. To be onboarded. How long have you been doing it?
1:46I've been there for four weeks. Okay. Yeah, then that's - Then it's just starting. Okay. Like, the first two weeks was - No, it is just starting, but it's not like your boss is happy if you're performing your job well. I promise you he is. No, because it's four weeks. You're being onboarded. I know, but I do more than the people who are already there. And he's like, wow, you're amazing. And it's really the easiest job in the world. Yeah, I mean, yeah, it is. I know. Okay. So what's the commission structure? It is depending on the apartment that I lease, quote unquote. But if it's like our bigger apartments and like our water facing apartments, it's like a$7.50 commission payout.
2:27Okay. Mm-hmm. On average, do people close like one a month, two a month? I would say one a week. A week? A week. So what is going to be hitting our account on average? On a monthly basis? Yes. When I start getting commission, I would say... Hitting our account after taxes. I would say... You're not making commission. Not right now. What are you making before commission right now? Okay, I would say like$3 ,000. What are you making before commission right now? $3 ,000. $3 ,000. a month is what you're making before commission. Okay. And you're going to get $750 a week in commission? No, I would say maybe average$400 because $750 is like the bigger apartments, like our penthouses.
3:07And then I'm going to say after Texas it's probably going to be like$1 ,200 times your$3 ,000.
3:15So$4 ,200. Yeah. Okay. And that's her more than you situation. So What do you make The other side of this It's a little weird I have two jobs I work like 30 to 35 at one I'm a warehouse selector And I was making $18 an hour That's one The other one I got a At home remote job Work it whenever I want And I make $16 an hour there And tell everyone They can get them Just for extra things On the side Yeah Well mine's kind of A special one I've worked it for like Five years I work for my mom's company. Oh, well, that's definitely the easiest way to get it. Exactly. So I get off pretty - What, are you hating against him?
3:59Well, it's the only job he's had in the last five years until like a month ago. Oh, so the other one's - Recently. The other one's relatively new, yeah. Your job is new too. I know. But - Why are we competitive off of bringing in extra money for the house? Because I've been telling him he needs to leave that job for the last five years and find something better. He has an economics degree and doesn't use it. What hits your account on a monthly basis with both combined? I think it's 600 a week from the warehouse and then probably 600 every two weeks from the remote. So 24, like 36, but the warehouse is going to go up.
4:36Like 32. That's 36. Well, you said 600? 600 a week, so 2400. Then plus 300 a week from the other one? Yeah, 300 a week. Oh, okay. Cool. Yep, 36. So yes, I guess this half does make more. Well, where's the job I'm going to make more at? Yes, of course. It's, um. Well, when? I mean, is it now? But you're also taking away hours from the other one, right? Um, no. To do that? I work like 30 to 35. I'm like a little nervous. Okay. All right. Well, what are we going to round up to? Four? Yeah, I would say about four. Okay, cool. This isn't bad, though. Yeah, it's not. It's not bad. You guys are making...
5:18The household is$8 ,200. We don't live together. Definitely don't live together. Okay. Are we talking about moving in? No. Where are we trying to get to? No, so... Are you sibling? What the fuck am I talking to then? So he's actually my ex. And I texted him and said, hey, want to go to Texas next weekend and go on this podcast with me? Why? Why am I talking to you guys then? I don't know. We're kind of, we've been talking. Maybe we want to get back together. Finances were hard when we were together. Oh, it's a determination of getting back together. Maybe. Maybe. We'll see. Maybe. So what's the question?
6:00How long have you guys been broken up? A little over six months. Like eight months. We're having talks. Maybe. Well, we haven't had a talk yet, actually. Yeah, she's difficult to talk to. Okay. Yeah. Yes, we're considering getting back together. But yeah, my friends don't even know that I'm talking to him. Really? Yeah, they don't even know I'm here. I didn't know that. That's so crazy to me, especially what's been going on. That's wild. So what the f*** then? If we're considering getting back together and we're split kind of down the middle on that, we were f***ing financially together before?
6:38Finances were an issue. Yeah. Because we were talking about moving in together. and that was kind of the big issue. Yeah. Because I was the breadwinner and he wasn't. Yeah, but now we'd be making M.O.C. cool. Yeah. Yeah. So what's the big concern then if we're deciding whether or not we should? There was like, I mean, there was other relationship things. It wasn't just the apartment, but that was like the current like struggle we were fighting at the time. Yeah. Yeah, but if we're going to determine whether or not, especially when it comes to your guys' finances, because that's what I'm more interested in.
7:09Yeah. If I give my seal of approval on if you guys should get back together, what was so f***ed last time when we broke up six months ago? Our living situation was bad. I was making nothing, so I just started because the job that she wanted me to quit, that was the only job I had, and it was the same thing. I might have been making$1 ,600 a month. Okay, so that's the one you wanted him to quit. Yes, for five years. Another job, which I get it. For five years you've been doing it since 20, working for mommy. Why are you still working for mommy? It's like a stability thing. I was exploring. Yeah, but a stability of nothing.
7:48Yes, I understand that. I was holding down basically nothing. I could barely survive, and I was putting stuff on credit cards, and that's how I was surviving. You'd have easily gotten another job. Easy, you could work at McDonald's and make more. Like, come on. And he just didn't understand that. I was exploring other things. I'm kind of like a job hopper trying to find out what I wanted to do. I moved out to Colorado to be a snowboard instructor. That job allowed me to do it. Yeah, but then you came back broker, then you left. Yeah, I know. And then you came back into the exact same thing and nothing changed.
8:25Okay. And I wanted change. All right, well, you were making so much money either. You had a sales job and you had one good week ever. Okay, I was working a server job beforehand for six months. And then, yeah, okay, let me go into sales because if you're not going to make money, why should I stay the breadwinner? Yeah, I mean. So, like, I don't know. It was just, it was a lot. It was rough. But I left. So you left him? No, technically, technically he broke with me. Why? And then I left. We were kind of going, we were going through a rough spot. So when she got this new job, so she's talking about making all this money.
9:04She wasn't. She was working from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at night. Yeah. And she wasn't really making that much. She had, like, good weeks here and there, but she wasn't making that much. So there was no quality of relationship. You guys are visiting here. Are we staying in a hotel? Yeah. Are you guys staying together? Yes. So we're on the path. Why are we considering getting back together? What's the conversation? What's the thought? What's the vibe? I think it's definitely, like, a possibility. but we're like since we broke up there's been some things going on some stuff that she did that i didn't like and then i don't honestly my friend he brought what i saw someone else i dated someone else we were on a break exactly she started i don't know if this is weird we were dating for two and a half years she started seeing someone within like three weeks.
9:57That's suspicious. Three weeks. I mean, rebounding. It's not like the next day in that case. I don't know. It's someone that she was working with. If he went and fucked someone tonight, how would you feel? If he went and fucked someone tonight, I'd be fine with it. I didn't think that's weird. I wouldn't be fine with it. I think you're on the edge of wanting to get together again a bit more than her, it sounds like. I made it pretty obvious. I think we were just in a bad spot then. And I don't know if all those issues are solved or what, but I made it very obvious that I did want to get back together.
10:30Like, are you still seeing this other person? We wouldn't be if we're considering getting back together. Okay. So what happened? I woke up with him. Yeah. So there's, okay. You want to get back together. You're a little more split and you want to get back together a bit more. This is what I'm reading. I don't want to get back together and it to be the same that it was beforehand. I agree. So let's fix it this time. Exactly. I need to know exactly what was going wrong. So as we can determine going through these documents, going through your guys' things, especially if finances were a big part. Yeah.
10:57It's like. I'm just tired of feeling like the boyfriend. What the f*** does that mean? I don't know. Oh, I'm the breadwinner. She wants me to get a job. She wants to be a stay-at-home doll. No, I don't. I guess. Yeah, maybe. Do I what? You want to be a trad? No, but I don't want to be the one supporting the relationship, supporting the finances, supporting all the date nights, supporting everything else. I mean, I guess that's kind of how it was then. But like, so when we broke up, we were looking to get a place. We were staying with my dad at the time. When you broke up? Yes. Yeah. Like, so this is my.
11:29The week of, we were supposed to sign a lease. Oh my. Yeah. Yeah. But then we did it. We got accepted at that place, right? We did. And I paid for it. We got accepted for the house. For the application. Yeah. So when we broke up, we were looking to get a place. But I'm like, okay, things are rough now. how smart is it to sign a lease with someone that I'm like, okay, this would be really bad if we broke up and we just signed this year-long lease for this expensive house we were going to get. Yeah, for sure. 100%. I was like kind of wanting to take a step back from that. But we were also living with my dad and my brother.
12:02And I was like, okay, this is like not great either. I want to get out. But I was also kind of helping my dad out. Like I was paying him rent, but I was helping him. But you guys didn't, right? We didn't pursue this? We didn't do it. No, we didn't. So again, with where we stand, considering getting back together, obviously you seem more split. You seem more in favor and we're considering it. But you wouldn't care if he went and slept with someone. How would you feel if she went and slept with someone tonight? No, I would not like that at all. I'm still like, I would say maybe I'm more like I want to get back together, but I do feel some type of way about like the actions.
12:37like because it wasn't just the guy like I don't even on like New Year's Eve she's drunk he's blowing up my phone and she's hanging out with this guy like I'm like okay I did drunk text him a couple times a couple times yeah so I'm like okay and I don't really know what's going on I don't really use social media so I'm like I only know what she tells me like I'm glad you asked the question. I didn't know that she broke up with that guy. I didn't even know. But I'm also kind of a spur of the moment person. So I was like, when she invited me. How long have you been single and now considering this?
13:15Oh boy. I don't know. I would say, I don't know, a few weeks. Is it like desperation going back to stability? No. That's what I'm saying. Like, I'm not like let's get back together next day. Like tomorrow. Like, no. It's working on. Exactly. So it's like, if you She's more skeptical. You're going to have to win it over. I don't want to move backwards, unfortunately. Would that be backwards? How does that feel? That's what I feel like. I feel like it would be backwards. So it's like I'm open to it, but I don't know. Like it's scary because like I've built a little bit of a good life for myself.
13:49Moving backwards, but then also inviting me on a trip, like staying in the same hotel. I mean, I guess that feels bad. Like I don't saying it's moving backwards. One bed? Two beds. Slept in one bed. Okay, let's be honest. I'm going to ask. I mean, I'm going to ask. You guys? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So we're kind of. Like I said, I'm open to it. I just don't want to make it feel like I'm moving backwards. So we're closer than we think. Yeah, for sure. I want to see how you guys are assessed. Okay. The producers put this together because they knew how this conversation was going to go a bit more than me.
14:25Yeah. I'm going in blind with the audience, but we have a me option and a my ex option. Okay. I'm going to give you guys questions just to see how we're approaching this current state of the relationship. And I'll give my seal of approval or denial after this conversation of whether or not we should actually, you guys should actually pursue this. Yeah. Okay. Okay.
14:50First question. And then hold up to the camera. Who is more likely to book a vacation they cannot afford? Okay. All the time. Here's the thing.
15:30All the time. All the time? This is a constant thing? Yeah, I do. Tell me, how is this? I book a lot of vacations. Since we broke up, where have you gone? You went to Hawaii. I went to the Bahamas. I've been like a couple weekend things. But I mean, I couldn't necessarily afford them, but I did afford them, basically. So I definitely shouldn't have gone on the vacation. What is that? Okay, so like at the job I was working at during these vacations, I wasn't. Oh, by the way, I'm being told she went to Hawaii with a guy. I did. She did go to Hawaii with a guy. Exactly. I didn't really know about that either.
16:12Okay, so I went to Hawaii with that guy. But I had a lot of fun. Is it? Okay, this was a long time ago, but I went kind of the extended going back sexually with an ex. a long, long time ago. And if you're the one that clearly wants to get together a bit more, that can kind of f*** with you. I f***ed with me back then. It took me a long time to kind of move on. And especially if she's out there, I mean, no offense, I mean, f*** other dudes. How do you feel about that, man? Because that's, to me, just having been in that situation over a decade ago, like, yeah, f***ed with me. Yeah, no, definitely wasn't fun finding out, like...
16:57But you guys are still sleeping together. Yeah, it's a recent, like, as of, like. Like, two weeks ago. A week ago. Oh, yeah. Like, it's, like, a week ago. A week ago. Literally a week ago, yeah. Yes, a week ago, guys. Because when we broke up, like, soon after that, I kind of made it apparent that I wanted to, like, potentially get back together. Like, I was more thinking, like, okay, we need to take a step back. Let's not sign this lease and maybe more of, like, a break. but then I'm like literally three weeks after I'm like oh we should go hang out like she came and saw me I had a soccer game she came and saw and I was like okay let's go hang out oh this is complicated I was like go let's go hang out and she's like oh no I don't think this is a good idea and then I talked to my buddy I'm like oh she's seeing someone already and I find out she calls me the next day she's like oh or I want to talk and then I'm like okay let's talk like call me and she's like oh I need time like she's pushing the call off and then I'm like oh yeah she definitely doesn't want to do it.
17:52And then once I finally get on the phone, she's like, oh, hey, what's up? Like all nice to me. And I'm like, okay, this is weird. I'm like, okay, just tell me one thing. Are you seeing somebody? Like, yeah. So like in three weeks, I went on two dates. How long were you guys together before the breakup? Two and a half years. But we've known each other a lot longer than that. Yeah. How? Because there's a... I've known him for seven years. So how? What was the... So my stepdad is friends with this guy who's friends with his dad. I don't need more details on that, but I'm just like, when you guys were getting together, you were in that 17 age range, and you were in that 23, 22.
18:31So I'm curious how that relationship was, but just asking. Yeah. Okay, next question. Okay. Who is more likely to criticize the other person's spending?
18:43So you both think you're more likely to criticize each other. Okay. Are you still holding that upside down? Why? Why do you think that? I don't like what he spends his money on. Go on. So his favorite thing in the world is Circle K. How can that be someone's favorite thing? Ask him. I wouldn't say. I do go to Circle K a lot. Why? It's Circle K. Exactly. Because I like Coke Zero. I can get a 79-cent Polar Pop. You can get a cheaper Coke Zero, though, in bulk from Costco. Yeah, you can. I don't know if you can, though. He likes it fresh. He likes that carbonation. No, it's not. It's not even fresh.
19:24It's not even fresh. Literally. Okay, go on. And his Zins. So, I don't know. He spends more money on that than he ever did on me. Don't forget about the apple fritters. That's crazy. That's just not true. Not like 100 % true, but yes. She lives at thrift stores and has a thousand pieces of clothing that she doesn't wear and doesn't need. And they're all sitting in bins in her apartment. it. She is kind of in the like Kamala outfit today. That is true. Thank you. Do not come. But I don't know. It's like, yeah, I don't like that he spends his money on things, I guess. Well, he doesn't like money.
20:02What do you spend on either? And if we're getting back together, it's like I spent my money on us, though. Like we went on vacations. We went like out to dinners. When we went on vacations, it wasn't like you were spending on the whole thing. No, I wasn't. I paid for a majority of all the vacations. So this But like that's what I would spend my money on. It wasn't circle K and Zins that you're going to spit out every 30 minutes. Like, you know, it's different. When we went on vacation, we kind of did it. I feel like how a more married couple would be like shared finances where like, okay, if she's making like, if we total our money and she makes 60 % of income and I make 40, like that's probably how we're going to split the trip.
20:39So I was paying for a majority of the vacations. So yeah, she was paying for the majority, but she also made more. But that's what I spent my money on. So it's like, are you going to disprove of that, of how I spend my money? It's not just the vacations. Oh, yes. Like, you constantly spend, like, going, like, it's just, like, shopping. Not, like, on, like, store stores, but yours is bull**** stuff, too. Stuff that you don't need. You don't need little knickknack stuff that, like, have no place in your apartment or just carried in bins. Like, you have a bunch of bull****. Okay. At least my stuff's getting used.
21:12I drink the Polar Pop. The Zen's getting used. Every day. And the apple fritter at Circle K is really good. Oh, his Doritos for breakfast and dinner? What are you even talking about? So, yeah. But it's because I work. It's an interesting little observation. You guys are covering like your disagreement and like kind of attack to the other person with like a laughter. Instead of like, because like you hear it and it's like a real attack, but then you're like, ha, ha, ha, giggle about it. And you're in that weird state. Um, I mean, maybe. Like, I don't, this, like, my purchase is, like, she's saying the Circle K.
21:51I will fight for that. Like, I work in a warehouse. My job starts at 4.30 p.m. And, I mean, it's on the way to work. I'll go get it. It's usually energy drinks, too. Buy in bulk. That's okay. Look, private student loans can make it feel like you're one missed payment away from selling your grandma's heirlooms. I miss you, Grandma. YReFi says, chill out! No more sacrificing the family jewels! They don't reduce you to a credit score number. They just want to see if you're actually planning on paying. By the way, they're providing interest rates under 6%, which is practically a unicorn in the student loan jungle.
22:32I mean, some lenders want to charge you so much, you'd swear they were putting your firstborn on layaway. So if you're tired of monthly payments so high that you can't afford a single sweet treat, YReFi's gotcha. They'll arrange your repayment plan, ease the monthly hit, and even let your poor cosigner off the hook. Mom or dad? They can finally breathe. Oh, and if you think you'll just get stuck on a call center wait list, guess what? 4.6 stars on Google says why ReFi actually picks up and treats you like a real human, which is a shocker, right? In finance, that's something as rare as me not slamming a desk every episode.
23:06What? So if you're done fantasizing about robbing a bank, don't do that. by the way but just check out why refi they're here to help you actually crush these loans without selling your kidneys on the black market go to y-r-e-f-y.com slash hammer that's why refi.com slash hammer or call 888-YREFI-78 that's 888-YREFI-78 and see how a real personal approach can help you escape the private loan nightmare because let's be honest living with crippling debt till you're 90 is not the retirement plan you dreamed of. Next, who has more of a temper?
23:43Okay, yeah. When we're arguing about the finances, does that seem to come out more? Does it get toxic, these financial conversations that we have as a couple? Had, and then might have again? They did, and she just doesn't really have a temper, and I don't really... Yeah, she giggles off everything you throw at her, which I get. I shut down, for sure. Because I feel like I talk to a wall. No, she thinks that I can't lose a conversation. He can. I will refuse. And I'm combative. So I just stop talking. I'm like, why would I continue the conversation if he's just going to, until I say, okay, you're right.

24:19And then I say, and then he goes, oh, you know I'm not right. So why are you just going to shut up? I don't say that. I don't say that. I don't say I know I'm not right and I'm fighting a thing. No, it's like I'm actually talking to a wall there. You just don't say anything. That was probably the biggest reason why we did break up is because you literally keep going you harp on things for days like you'll literally yes you do no you are like literally a wall you just sit there and yes because you keep going like there's no agree with everything i say because i want to get to like a finish line of a point like okay if we're arguing about this i want to get to this point and i'm like okay let's get the conversation but if i don't want to get to that point because i don't agree you still want to get to that point but it's not even that point it's not even that point like that i want to get to it's like a completion of the argument.
25:04You're just like, okay, I don't want to do this argument. And I wouldn't say I have a temper in our relationship. I probably, I raised my voice pretty loud, like two times. And I don't want to do that. Like, I don't want to be that person because I see people that do that and I don't think it's right. But I mean, maybe I should have more, but. Outside of the relationship, he also has a temper with his family, with his brother, with his mom. His mom? Yes. They will argue, like we would go on family vacations and you can't get through a family vacation without someone fighting. All right, well, that's not my fault.
25:36It is because you are the problem most of the time. Then you get a pissy mood. That's crazy. It's not. Knowing, you know. Yes, because your whole family has the same issue. I would say this. I think my mom, she has a little control freakish. So is your brother and so are you. And like might have passed it down a little bit. So I want control over certain things. Okay, so control freak. But if we're having a financial conversation with both, they're kind of equal halves. Two and a half years, you can be talking about marriage around then. Obviously, you guys broke up, but we're considering getting back together.
26:07So it's a bit more complicated. But if we're going back into the financial conversation, I mean, give me what a financial conversation looked like at that point. I think the biggest one was when we were looking for an apartment. There were spots I liked more than he did because we have a dog. So he was like, well, I want to place the big yard. Who got the dog? He got the dog. We got the dog. That's hard. He got the dog. So when I moved back from Colorado, I'm like, okay, I want to get a dog. No, I'm asking post-breakup. Okay. Okay. When it was his dog, he kept it. There was no argument there. Keep going.
26:37The financial conversations. He's like, well, we need a place with a big yard. Well, all the places that I liked didn't have a big yard. They had a small yard, but I was paying for the rent. So he thought he had all this say of where we had to live when I was paying the rent. That was the only thing I asked for in the entire place. I know, but it was like, no, because then all the other places were farther from my work. closer to yours. She was looking at places that were like no street lights. Like you're not going to walk your dog at night, like sketchy areas. And the yard was the size of this table.
27:08No, it wasn't. And you know that's not true. No. But again, anyways, I was paying the rent. I have the bigger say. And he was like, well, you're being really selfish. Why would you say that? Because I'm paying the rent. I should have the final say of where we live. So she just wanted the nicest place possible. And they all came along with the smallest yard possible and I'm like okay one of the biggest reasons we're moving is we have this dog. That wasn't the main reason we were moving. That was one of them. Yes but still. Oh my gosh you guys this is crazy. I mean and then literally I'm they just sent me a note that is relevant to how you guys are just going about this conversation.
27:44I mean they're talking through your guys' breakup and stuff and when they had a conversation with you right you gave all the information like you played out just like called her a b**** with her face and it says toxic. I said that? Yes, you did. I mean, I might have said that. I call people all the time, but it's usually out of just like the show. Yeah, and that's how it usually is. But like you, it was more of a, like attack. I don't know. Who? When I broke up with her, nothing. She said nothing to me. When I broke up with her, it was like. It was a shock. But that's how she is in everything.
28:19We had basically the same conversation like three months earlier. So it was like, I wasn't going to do that. again. So I said, okay, packed it up and left. Who on, like, who who was the reason for the breakup? I initiated. Who was the reason for the breakup? Okay. Yeah. So it's interesting. You're the one that broke up, but you're the one considering getting back together. You did not choose to break up, and you're more on the fence. She wanted to break up. You can't lie that we were going towards that. Nothing changed. Again, having been on that side before, not on this side. But why are you still diddling up with this guy if you're not fully ready to get back together?
28:59Because it does string him along. Because things were good for a really long time. Were, but now you're just f***ing. Well, but I want to. But you're on the fence. Yes. So if you don't know, why are you going back? Because things were good. I like his family. We're good. I know. But you're not committing to going back, but you're still f***ing. So why are you still f***ing? It's been a week. Yeah. I was like twice. Just twice. We were hanging out more, like seeing each other. I'm just saying it could really string him along. No, she was definitely doing that while we were broken up. Were you guys doing that?
29:39Did you guys ever get back together throughout? No. So either way, this, unless he's ready to get back together, you are more on the fence. Yeah, because... Fine, you're 75, she's 50%. But even still, unless you're swaying that way, why? Because I want, like, if things are different and, like, he changes and, like, he gets his life together. That sounds more than 50 % then. Because, like, yes. So you're leaning more towards getting it together. Yes, but only if things change. Then why f*** before then? Because that can mess with someone. Okay, then we won't f*** anymore. I'm. Like, if that's how.
30:13Well, now I'm breaking his heart. That's fine. Like, I get it. It's difficult. But, like, I don't know. It just happened. And like, I didn't text him. Oh, want to f*** tonight? No. Like, it just happened. That's usually what I do. Exactly. So, like, no. So, like, yes. Like, I, like, it was good for a while. I've known him for seven years. I've known his family for seven years. I know, but you're not getting back. That's, you don't. I'm not talking about where you guys have been. I'm just talking about what you might be doing to someone. Okay. Someone who's already there. Almost there. Because when we did bring you up, I was like, I made it real clear that I wanted to get back together.
30:44And then at a certain point, I was like, I already asked her, like, to hang out. And then she made it, like, because she was texting me. Have you guys broken up before? No. Okay. Who's more likely to get involved in a pyramid scheme? No. Okay, you both say each other. Why? You know each other's habits, but we're defecting. I know what she'll say, but I don't know. You're, like, I feel like that's something you think you would be good at. Like, I think you'll do the sales. like you'll try and sell like someone that you're good friends with will sell you on something i can get in you're like oh i know all these people come on no i would not i mean you're in you're in health insurance you're like one medium away but it's different health insurance is like federally regulated that's not like i'm selling mary k on the side of the street to my hairdresser no like that's different you on the other hand 100 you're always let me buy this let me buy that This course, that course, great idea.
31:39I don't know enough people to do a pyramid scheme. It doesn't matter. You would sign up for it, though. No. You would. No. Okay, so it's the one who spent nine grand on a course he didn't pursue. What? On a course? On a course. What is it? You know who Pace Morby is? No. You don't know who that is? No one knows who that is. People know who that is. He was on Graham Stephan not that long ago. On Ice Coffee Hour? Yeah. I don't know for me I mean 9 ,000 is pretty brutal we sell educational programs and we have a lower refund rate than anyone else in the agency you should try and sell him he'll buy in the industry yeah but we actually provide value and people have proven that but we don't do$9 ,000 we're like a couple hundred bucks so people can change their lives and still have access to it but also you know he's got access to a Facebook community so it's worth it I was probably in a better financial point then, but that might have been the start of the down.
32:39But 9 ,000? What were you supposed to learn? And you never took it? No, I did. He did. Like, I went through it. It's just more of like... Okay, what did it teach then? Because, again, we teach budgeting, paying off debt, not like, oh, you're going to be a multimillionaire. That's not what it was saying either. You own property, right? Yeah. Do you have traditional mortgages on them? Some, yeah. Do you have, like, any creative deals? No. You know what that is though right actually one technically one yes what was it like a seller finance or something no i don't have that okay so he teaches like boring this is a fun one i get to get you free money and then i get to get myself free money it's a pure win-win for both of us what do you have to do sign up for a sofi high yield savings account and get a welcome bonus of 300 sign up for acorns using my link and get 20 instead of the usual five dollars finally sign up for silo and earn up to$5 ,000 in cash back on your own stocks.
33:36These offers have been negotiated to give us both more money than using traditional sign-up methods. So use the links in the resources section of the description below and get yourself$5 ,320 right now. You are someone who dreams of this grand life,$9 ,000 on a course, but you don't even have close to the nest egg necessary for... To get one, you might need like, you could get a$500 ,000 house for maybe$30 ,000 out of pocket. Do you have$30 ,000? No, I don't. Then what are we talking about? So there was other stuff where you - You do have$30 ,000 of debt. But there was other ways, like you can get the contract and assign it to someone else and then you wouldn't make your assignment fee.
34:21Buddy, checking the savings combined for you is$825. What the fuck are you buying a$9 ,000 course for? Oh, that was a while ago. And it hasn't done it yet. And now everything is, I have done it. Pursued it afterwards. You finished it. Oh, well. I'll call you guys. So yes. Who's more likely to hide spending from the other person in the relationship? Yeah. I don't know. Like on stuff like. You're willing to admit this, that you would be more likely. You guys are considering getting back together and you're saying you're more likely to hide spending. It's not like big spending, but I would definitely like, I'm not going to hide something like that.
34:58but it would be like, oh, I don't want to tell her. I just went and bought food or something like that. Why would you want to tell her? Yeah, why would you want to tell me? Honestly, it was more like because I used to have some weight on me and I have like a weird thing about weight. You look like a former fat f***er. That is true. Ding, ding, ding. We were just a fat as a current fat f***er. Have you been to Barton Springs? I live in Austin. Well, have you been? Yeah. Okay, okay, whatever, whatever. Have you used the diving board? Uh-uh. Ask him about his most embarrassing. Because it's too cold, honestly.
35:32No, it's so cold. So you've never been inside Burton Springs? I have miserably. Honestly, I either sunbathe or. Yeah, that makes sense. Look at boobs. But yeah. Fair enough, fair enough. But ask him about his most embarrassing story ever. So I had a, like a party at a friend's house. Boring. How does that feel? That was in middle school. If we're considering getting back together. If we're considering getting back together and he's saying he's the one that's most likely to hide. He doesn't want to tell you. How does that feel? I don't like that. It's mostly food because I'm like, damn, I feel like a fat.
36:02I know, but it feels something. Yeah, I know. I know, like, because I don't think she would. Yeah, I'd be coming home like, look what I got at the thrift store today. I spent$100. Yeah, she's like, oh, you want to see this haul? And I'm like, oh, yeah, okay, we spent$60 at the Goodwill and we spent $60 at the Goodwill two weeks ago or three days ago. I'll show them. I don't care. Especially because what I do is, like, I'll go get like a whole pizza and I'll just eat it. Eat the whole thing. Okay. And finally, who's more financially responsible?
36:34Okay. Yeah, okay. There's no way. You're one, one, you're in more debt than I am. And then two, mine's within like the last eight months. I've lived more life than you. Exactly. Why are you still in debt? Okay. Like, I think in spurts, I think, I feel like I'm an in spurts. It's in spurts, and then you get out of it, you're blessed, and then you do it again, and it's absolutely ridiculous. Like, it's embarrassing. I think you just have the more worse spending habits. Like, mine are— She just called you embarrassing. It is. By the way. What did you say was embarrassing? It's embarrassing. You're going to get bailed out.
37:12They don't even hear each other. They talk at each other. Because you get bailed out of s**t, and then you do it again. No, I've been bailed out. Like, I've had support, but I haven't been— Support. It's blessed. I've been blessed, like, once. 100%. Okay, I'm sorry my mom loves me more than yours. I know, but like it's crazy because you'll just turn around and do it again and it's just disrespectful to her. What do you mean? I'm just saying. What do you mean? Do you still have student loans? I do. Okay, your mom paid for them. No, she didn't. She gave you money too. But I told her they weren't going to get paid for that.
37:45Here's money to pay off your entire student loans. Congratulations on graduating. Okay, mom, I'm not going to spend it on that, but thank you. Wait, what the f*** did you do? Exactly. That's crazy. Like, that's insane. Exactly. You know what I spent it on. Was it a Corvette? It was a Corvette. A Corvette. Your mom gave you money to pay off student loans and you got a car. Because, oh, but it might get forgiven. So, like, why would I pay it off if it gets forgiven? How'd that work? Okay. Okay. What are my, what's my student loan? And then you work for her. Is it out of sympathy? No, it's not. No, it's definitely, it's definitely his mom's very nice.
38:19And, like, yeah, she does very well for herself. And yeah, if I had a child who graduated, I would 100 % pay off his debt if I had the means to. And it's definitely really nice that she does that. I mean, it depends on behavior. Exactly. So it's like, but then it doesn't change. So if I have two loans out right now, my student loan is, let's say it's$10 ,000 and at 5%. And I have a car note out for 10%. Which one should I pay off? So was it paying off a car? Yes. It wasn't buying a car. No, I already had the car. No, I already had the car because I saved up the money in Jacksonville. I put$400 down.
38:54She gave you the money beforehand. No, she didn't. See, you don't know because I put that money towards the Corvette. But he stopped student loans. And now he doesn't have the Corvette anymore. See, she doesn't even know. I feel like that was the better financial decision. Mathematically, I choose the 10 % and the depreciating asset. But respectfully to your mom who gave you money specifically to pay off your seat. I didn't lie to her. I didn't lie to her. I'd have a conversation. Well, yeah. But like, she's not going to tell you now. No, I told her as soon as. I told her as soon as. She's not going to tell you now.
39:23Because it was smarter to do that. And I'm deferred anyways. Like, I was still. Well, we don't know the context about buying the car, when you got the car, were you buying the car, expecting this money to come from mom, where conversations happening before that. There's a lot of context that can go involved in you getting this money and then putting it towards the car instead of putting it towards the student loans, which she thought you were going to. And if she only wanted you to put it towards the student loans, it was her money, her gift intended for that, then I would put it towards student loans.
39:48Exactly. Before she sent it to me, I told her I wasn't going to use it for that. Yeah, so she was still going to do it. And she's not going to tell it because she's nice. Did you know she was going to do that? How long did you know she was going to do that? Was it before you got the car? But see, I always thought. No, was it before the car that you knew a payment was coming? So it was always kind of an expectation. There you go. So you got the car because you knew the money was coming. So that is different. That is different than this is a random thing that happened and you put it towards the mathematically making sense.
40:12You instead chose to go get the car because you always knew money would be coming that you could pay off the student loans or it with. No. Oh, come on. How? Because it wasn't. You're a human being. You're able to have that cognitive skill in the back of your brain knowing that you could pay off the car because this money's coming. Okay. Either way, let's just say I did, which I'm not saying. Either way, which one's better? because I would have got the car anyways. No, no, because it's context. It's not a black and white thing. It is context. Because at the time I had - This isn't the internet where context is impossible.
40:54That's like most Twitter and Reddit thread. That's not how we do it. We're able to have context here. Yeah, but I wasn't expecting that because my brother, he has student loans for a trade school. His are a lot more than mine. And we've kind of heard like, oh, this is going to happen. But I didn't know like, okay, when I graduate, she's going to pay, like she's going to help me out with them. What do you think your hammer financial score is? Zero to ten, zero being the worst, ten being the best? Since I sent in the statements, I would say one. But last year it would have been higher if we did this.
41:28So it's gotten worse? It has. The last eight months has been around. So are you okay with getting someone back with someone who's gotten worse? It's on the up and up. It's gone only down. I mean, it was kind of my fault. Like she was, she's in a bad spot because of the apartment that she's in. Just the apartment. No choices. No going to Hawaii and like that. Really? Come on. It didn't really cost that much. I mean, you still chose to do these all vacations. Yeah, but. If our rent is more expensive than we can afford, which sucks, then you sacrifice the other things to make life work. You don't get to still just go do whatever the fuck we want when it's mathematically not working.
42:02So no, it's not just his fault. And I know you're trying to get your suck later. So like, don't just. I didn't say it was just his fault. No, I would say like when the income, the expenses are higher than the income, like that's bad. Yes, but then why would we be going to Hawaii? Because I bought the ticket before my income actually started going down. You still decided to go and it would require spending more money while you're there. Yes, not that much more though. But it was more and if we don't have money, we don't do that. It's as simple as that. And you, what's your financial score? It's probably like a two right now.
42:36Okay. I feel it's all up in her. So better than her. Yeah, definitely better than her. If you guys watch your score and see where you are in the world of finances, take the assessment, go to CalebHammer.com or click the link in the description below. And don't forget, you can come here to Austin, Texas by going to CalebHammer.com slash apply.
43:06We'd be happy to have you on the show. Oh my, the longest intro in the history of the show because you guys are just bickering little demons. You made us play the game. Yeah, to get some insight into you guys, I wasn't expecting it to take that long because if the big question is whether or not we should get back together, the producers are like, well, let's see what they say about each other. And a game's a good way to do that. Freedom Flex, whose card is this? That one's mine. Because I know we're not combined. It's my worst one. Okay, so her card, by the way, dude, is$7 ,377.60. $7 ,000? You don't know this?
43:35You guys know each other's finances? like in debt? She might know mine better, but she actually... Yeah, it's a$7 ,377.60. What are your thoughts? That's insane. I did... That's really bad. That's so bad. Okay. It's almost as bad as my whole situation. Okay. Or at least my credit card situation. Okay. It's my bad. It used to be good. Who gives a f*** about used to? I don't give a f***. No, I know. A hundred percent. Even if you're doing something bad in the used to, if you're doing good now, we're not beating you for your badness. For sure, yeah. Again, this isn't the internet. It's not how we operate in real life.
44:09Yeah, no, it's up there, surprise. Like, I told you it was bad. You don't care? I do care, but like, it is what it is. How long does this take to pay off doing minimum payments only, which she does, but without purchasing anything, which she's incapable of. So how long does it take to pay off? I would say 19 years. Well, she hit it. Maybe she looked at it when she sent it in. Yeah. It's 19 years. Yeah. And she pretended like she was thinking about it. No, because like I know it was around. I sent three statements. I don't know which one it is. $131 of purchases and 92 cents on a card that you only put in the minimum payment towards.
44:45Interest is accruing. Yeah. It's over maxed out by$177. You want to get back together with this creature? How does that make you feel? Yeah. She's above the credit limit. You're okay with that. Maybe mine, if she's a one, I might be the three, four. Yeah, right. Okay. Why is it above the credit limit? The interest hit. No, you're purchasing! Well, that too, but... That is it! That is the thing you have control of. You don't have control of the interest. Yeah, I know. If you pay the monthly payment, it's going to pay off the interest and a little bit. Yes. Yes, I know. That is true. I understand that.
45:18So why the f*** would you say the interest then? Because that's not the answer. Because that's part of the answer. Yeah, that's some good cope giggling you got, but that's a bull**** answer. Because that is not why it's above. I know, but... You know yet... Why'd you deflect? The real answer was because you spent, because you're an irresponsible child with your money. So why the f*** would you deflect with a bulls*** answer? I don't know. I think it speaks to something. Yeah, it does. But you're not confronting this at all. You don't care yet. I mean, like what? I don't know what to say to that.
45:50Obviously, you've given up over this last year and you don't give a f*** yet. You slid into a worse situation and you've hit the limit there and you don't care. And you're probably not ready to change. I am ready to change. For sure. Go on. Because I got a different job. A lot of that is spending because of my last job. What? That doesn't make sense. What was your last job that required spending? Okay. Well, I was in health insurance. You had to buy your own leads. And there's a lot of money that goes into it. Why would you put it on? Are you getting 30 % returns on every single lead you spent?
46:19No. Because that's the interest that you're getting on this card that you're not paying off. I used to. When I first did, yes. No, I know. Netflix, Amazon, Paramount +, Canva, Apple, and Storage. Yeah. So those are like my subscriptions that are just on there. Going in and probably getting a morning after from CVS, it looks like. No. Definitely not. But no. So like, yeah, all that you just named is my subscriptions that hit. What are my spendings on there? It's subscriptions. Bulls. Bulls that you don't need. It's not like I'm going to target. Lady. Lady. You are choosing bullshit subscriptions over actually paying down the card.
46:56Which says you don't care. And you're not ready to change. If your defense is, oh, it's just subscriptions, then obviously you're not ready. Because we would rather pay down the card that is accruing interest that is going to take 19 years to pay off than have Netflix. And pay about plus at the same time. And pick it up some bulls**t from the store. And Apple bills and Amazon. Pull up your Amazon for me. Listen, you lost$845.37 of interest this year so far on here. Okay. You don't give a f***? No, I do, but like... You want to get back together with that? I don't know. Like, that's really bad.
47:34Like, seriously, when you guys get back together, we're probably considering a future at that point. Okay, like, that's not a fling. A fling, sure, I don't care. Do that. But if you guys are getting back together, finances are an important part of it. And look at this. She doesn't care. She's giving up. She's done. And she's just bulls***ing way out of this pushback. 48:47We were trying to do it earlier. Here's five things in the car. $190 bed frame. $243 bed. swing back bed $189 Oh, she's choosing which bed frame to get. They're just in there because I'm saving them. About a thousand dollars of bed frames in there ready to go. I'm not going to get all of them, obviously. You are going to spend about$250. Maybe. And look, we have a maxed out credit card. Her bed frame is pretty though. It continues to be I don't want to just always jerk myself off or anything about this, but the thing is I slept on an air mattress for six to nine months when I moved here. I do slept on air mattress when I moved to my apartment too.
49:26I don't give a fuck. You're in bad debt. I got out of bad debt and I stayed out of bad debt. You're back in bad debt. You can sacrifice. I know. 300 pieces of heavy duty gold. I told you it was for a wedding, but I got paid back for all that. 10 inch baby pink candles. Also for the wedding? Yes. Okay. A lot of that was for a wedding. A lot of gold thing. Okay. Deep power extra boost inserts. Trying to get taller. It was a strapless bra for my, not the wedding dress. The bridesmaid dress. That was a meet of honor. A return for a dress. Yes. Liver treats. For the dog that I now have. You got him a birthday.
50:00You got it back? Yeah, because he can't take care of him. Because I have the two jobs. I've been working like 60 to 70 hours. You got him a cake toy, mouth guard. These aren't horrible. Bridal shower stuff. They're crazy, but I am nervous of you spending$250 on. I'm not going to get it. What about when you move into that new apartment? You better not. I'm not. I'll sleep on my couch. I'll be fine. So no, they're not bad. and all those for the wedding I got paid back. I just had to order them because I was in charge of decorating, so.
50:30So you're about to make a trade based on a friend's text. But which you do you listen to? Is it, we could buy a house in Tulum. Get optioning those options. We could lose everything. Or let's do a little research. Get your head in the trade and make the investment decision that's right for you. Learn more at FINRA.org slash trade smart. So we know what comes in. How much did you spend last month? That I have no idea. Why would you not know? Why don't you budget? What are we doing in our lives? It's just different. Again, you don't care. If you cared, you'd be budgeting. So how much do you think went out?
51:15Think of all your life that happened last month. payroll was$2 ,749 what went out? probably and that can be included in debt probably like$45 it was$46 yeah holy sh** double you're okay with that? no but I was at the time why are you doing it? it just happens like I don't know no no it doesn't you do it I mean no but you're doing the actions to do it I know but like most of that is bills I have big bills your bills are not that high they are I want to hear mine because I think mine is going to sound a lot better than that. That was a bad month. Like, I didn't really make a lot of money. I was in the transition of a new job.
51:54Like, yeah, my income wasn't very high that month. You spent less than you made. Yeah. I'm him. But last time he was the f***. Yeah. The financial f***. Now that I have this second job. But now she is and she doesn't care. She's not willing to do anything to change it. How are we going to maintain a healthy relationship? Financially, at least. on this because now the roles are reversed. So before it was like all she did was kind of work, but now she's gotten these jobs and is like she's getting older. So now she didn't really get that college. Getting older. Yeah, like I actually go out, I have a life now, whereas before I didn't.
52:32So she didn't really have the college experience, and I think that's what she's doing now, like going out, like partying, and things like that. So she's blowing money on that. Is that where you want to be? Because, again, that would be your— He's already been there. That's the thing. He's already went through that. But your significant other would just be going out partying all the time. That's a big, like, that's something I've thought about a lot because I don't really party. Like, I don't really drink at all. What is your party? Where are you going out, like, every night? No, but, like, I actually go out with friends.
52:59I do things with people. Like, I go out and actually I have a life versus sitting at home on the couch. Well, when I hear partying, it sounds like we're going out, like, ranging to the bars. She went to Orlando and got blacked out drunk and lost her purse and all of her belongings in Orlando. I did. Also, should we talk about what happened at the wedding? No, we don't need to. But yes, I got drunk. I got very, very drunk. That's pretty common. Yes, it was open bar. Was there a bad thing? No. Good, no. I guess not. What? What happened? I don't really know the story and it sounds like she doesn't want to talk about it.
53:33No, like I got drunk. She gets a little like free and loose while she's drunk. What? What happened? I don't want to talk about it. Like I made some bad decisions. At the wedding? I mean, yeah. Or after the wedding. Oh, no, no. After the wedding. After the wedding. Like the reception, right? Yeah. She was partying, dancing. Yeah. I don't know what you're trying to say, but no, I don't know. You know you're making it sound worse than it probably is. I'm pretty sure I heard like, I don't know, maybe hard to keep her top on. In front of everyone? No. I think it was just like the bride's dad. I flashed the groom's dad.
54:15I would never do that to him. But it was an accident. And I was drunk and the bride wanted to change. Who has the ink card? He does. Okay, what's going on with this? Because it's also maxed out. Not over this time like her, but it is maxed out. No purchases this time. But it is maxed out. That's part of the Pace Morby. So it was like. So that's what I owe. You wanted a debt for it? Yeah. Yeah. It's been two years. It's been two years. What would he think if you put this on a card that is accruing$60? He cashed in on me. No, I don't know him. I don't know him, but a lot of the people I've met behind the scenes in the YouTube world, I understand a screen is separating us and there's a number next to my name, but most people actually have genuine positive intentions, and you just wouldn't actually think that.
55:08I don't know if he'd want you to go into debt for this. I don't want me to go into debt. I want people to buy our educational program because it is a business and also it's a good product and helps people. But I don't want people to go into debt for it. This is what I will say because I can remember now. I was pretty iffy about it because it was such a big thing. I told them not to do it. Maybe, but. Multiple times. So when I did do it, so it was like three installments, basically$3 ,000,$3 ,000,$3 ,000. And so I paid off the other ones and I just have that$3 ,000. Jeez, dude, you're only making the minimum payment for it though.
55:42$2 ,916.04 minimum fee payment$86 it's going to take forever to pay off I will say I think Pace Morby does have good intentions but the sales team I feel like they were kind of pushy they were like oh we can just get a new card put it on there $300 of interest accrued this year okay I mean, that's bad. I mean, it just stays at that. Like, I know it's bad. I'm working on the other ones, though. But it's been two years. That's what I'm saying. City Double Cash, who's this? Me, maybe? Yeah, I think so. Yeah, definitely you. Do you not know what cards you have? I don't have a City card. So you don't know what City card he has?
56:29He has, like, nine, so I don't know if that's also his. No, I don't have a City card. Because he has a Freedom Flex, too, so, like, I'm just making sure. $1 ,561.20 on here. Yeah. $41 minimum monthly payment. Five years to pay off. Only making our minimum monthly payment. So what's up with this card? Three-fourths of the way max out. Yeah. Okay, so I have this one and then I have a capital one. One of them I was using to pay off school because I... Pay off school? Listen, I cash flowed school. So all of my semesters I would throw my credit card, but I would have it paid off by the next semester.
57:02No, no, listen. That's so risky though. But I didn't... Yeah, but look where we are. I know, but it's just my summer semester that I never paid off. Well, that still counts. I know, but see, I wasn't supposed to take that summer semester, but my financial, or not my financial, my academic advisor f***ed me over. So my classes I had to retake or that I retook didn't count. And like I had to take an extra semester of school that I didn't account for. So that went on the credit card. But everything else I paid, like credit card was paid off before that semester even ended, like a month of. So yes, I was supposed to graduate in May.
57:36When was this? This was this past summer. So this was like July last year. Yeah, so I was supposed to graduate in May, but I had to take an extra three courses over the summer to actually finish my degree. And it's still not paid off? No, it's not. She messed, when she got out of - What the f*** are we going to Hawaii then? This is accruing interest. Because I wanted to. It's not an interest-free card. I know. You wanted to more than actually be debt-free and live a financially healthy life. Yes, I did at the time. And you still do because you haven't changed anything. Look at your spending. It was double what you make.
58:07Not his. I know. Yours. But, yes. But, see, I cash flowed my way through college. I got it done quick. I graduated. You, you have$1 ,561. One semester that I wasn't even supposed to have to take. Yes, that is not cash flowing. Good job you did most of the time. Okay? The rest of the time. But you still have this, regardless. And you were choosing not to pay it off because you were choosing your own pleasure and fun of life. Yeah. Yeah, basically. I think she kind of screwed herself over. she worked at a, she was serving. Yeah. And she made a lot more money. I made really good money serving at the Hard Rock.
58:42And then got out of it. And then that's how she was like paying that up. I got a degree. You did graduate. Yes, I got a degree in marketing. So business and marketing. Okay. Graduated at 19 with my bachelor's also. Yeah, so cool. Thank you. So. Look where you are. Yeah. Like I celebrate people on their actual like where they are. I know. You're f***ed. Thank you. Like, Like, woo! I'd celebrate your graduation when it happened, but look where you are. It's like, I'm not looking back to celebrate. I'll give it to your course career certification if you want something extra. Boost your thing. Your resume skills.
59:22Oh, wait, he said you're total debt? Yeah, he was like, you don't have 30K. Guys, I will tell you, calm down. These people, man. I didn't ask you yet. I'm trying to have a quick conversation with the producer about some notes that, you know, I had here. I'm like, wait, I'm a little confused. And all of a sudden they're just, what's your debt lady? Wait, we will talk. I mean, yeah. This is all a surprise to me. No, two. I mean, this is bad. You don't consider this because it's not maxed out. It's three-fourths and it's accruing interest. Yes, I know. Yes, I understand that. But it's not accruing interest.
59:56It's not. It will soon. It will in a few months. Yes, it will. But it It hasn't been, which is why I opened that card to do my school. Bank of America card. That's probably mine. Okay. What's going on with this one, guy? Yeah. What's going on with that one? That's your favorite card. The balance is low, right? Lower. It's just still occurring. He's still purchased on it, though. It's at$408.29. Minimum monthly payment of$35. Not bad. It is still. He's purchased it on it. If that's what your mindset is, you're going to be f***ed forever. What did I pick? Seriously. Okay. That's not a joke. I know.
1:00:34That is bad. Okay. I get that. Didn't I pay towards this card this month? Yes, but then you purchased on it still and it's accruing interest. But. Yes, you put more on it than the minimum. You brought your balance down, but you are still choosing the action. This is what it is. Buddy, you are still, instead of paying it off and putting it towards what could be closer to zero, you decided to put an extra$120 on it. Well, interest is accruing. I'm pretty sure I put a lot towards it. You did, but you still, instead of putting it closer to zero, decided to purchase on it. It is the behavior of it.
1:01:09I think it's mostly because I leave my wallet and I think that card is connected. Take your wallet, you moron. Like, what the fuck is wrong with you? You need your driver's license, you tit. Like, if I go to work, I don't always have my wallet. Do you drive to work? I drive to work, but I don't want to. So you should probably have your driver's license, you tit. I do. I have it in the car, but like if I go... What? You leave your driver's license in the car? Because I don't need my wallet for work. It's just kind of like in the way. You're so weird. Why are you leaving your driver's license in your car?
1:01:36Put it in your wallet. Take your wallet with you. So it's in the wallet, but then I leave the wallet in the car. And then like, so if I want an energy drink before work... Which you do all the time. I do. Oh, for f*** sake. But it's in the car. I use Tap to Pay and I don't have my debit card on it. Where are you getting your energy drink? Circle K? No. I mean, sometimes. Yeah. There's probably Circle K. Listen, and you can go back in and get your fucking wallet because I have circle case, circle case, circle case, circle case. Four circle case. You could have gone back in your car. Now, I also see vending machine, vending machine, vending machine, vending machine.
1:02:07Papa John's and Popeye's go in the car and get your wallet. You lazy. Vending machine, vending machine. It's because. I've had late fees this year. Two. Did I? Two late fees this year. You're going to dig on me so hard. I can't figure out how to put. I mean, maybe we could do this. I don't know how to set up auto pay for it. I'm not going to set up auto pay for you. you child. I feel like Bank of America is weird. Call them, you f***. But yeah, no, that's really dumb. What is it? $50,$80? Okay, maybe you shouldn't get back with him. He's incapable of taking care of himself. You think he can take care of a girlfriend?
1:02:38Everything else is on autopay. You can't call the bank. I can call the bank. But you haven't. Because now, like, when was the, does it say when the late fees were? This year. It doesn't say like This year. So two months this year. Okay. Yeah, that's pretty terrible. We're month five. There's been two that you've missed. I tried. You were in February. Because you went on vacation that week or that month also. Who did? You did. Everywhere. Oh, my gosh. Do either of you actually care to get out of this? I'm so confused. I did you on vacation. What? Where'd you go? I went on a cruise. You know what?
1:03:16Actually, yeah. Get back together. You guys are perfect for each other. You'll pull each other down. You'll pull each other down. It'll be amazing. It'll be amazing. You guys will live in just completely forever. Yeah, you guys are perfect. Get back together. Good job. Boom, is that the end of the conversation? No. No, I don't think so. Yeah, no. $100 of interest accrued this year so far. This is spending on bullshit. Okay, Capital One Saver card. Yeah, that one's mine. Is it? That one's probably mine. See, that's what I'm saying. I don't know, because we both have similar cards. What is what's flopping?
1:03:47Maxed out at basically$2 ,000. Okay, that's mine. Mine's way higher than that. Oh, fuck's sake. No purchasing on this. interest is accruing 50 bucks $1 ,949. You said no purchasing? I said no purchasing. Okay, I'm just making sure. Sorry. Good. I just got upset that you interrupted me saying numbers because we're trying to put them on screen as I say them. $1 ,949.98 is the balance. $68 minimum fee payment. 13 years to pay off. Jeez. Okay. I didn't realize that was that high. Yep, mid-30s.
1:04:27What's going on with this card? I honestly don't know what's on that. I think that was just kind of like... You don't know how you got here? I don't know what I put on that card. This is probably her bullsh** card. Yeah. I mean, it was probably bullsh**. Yeah, it's all like bullsh**, but I genuinely don't know what I put on this card at all. I just kind of... She just taps, swipes. Yeah. It's maxed out. It's the only reason you're not purchasing. You probably did the month previous. I think it's been maxed out for a while. Which means you continue to purchase on it the moment you can because it wouldn't be maxed out for a long time.
1:04:58Yeah. Because your minimum payment will bring it down slowly, but will. Yeah, I don't know what's on that at all. $200 of interest this year so far. It's at a 30 % interest rate, and it's just fucked. Hold out your phone again. Yeah. We flushed like$2 ,000 down the toilet this year on interest. Yeah, yeah. I have to log in. to Capital One? No, just give me your phone. Go for it. That's what you wanted. Okay. We have New York Times Games monthly subscription, Apple Music sideline subscription. What's that? It was for work. Was? Well, you still... Some of these are inactive. Yeah. And then Photo Room AI photo editor.
1:05:48I think that one was like a free trial. Pull out your phone. Okay, thank you. Oh, no. I don't know what I got on here. Is it just a subscription? Yeah. Rinse takes your laundry and hand delivers it to your door, expertly cleaned and folded, so you could take the time once spent folding and sorting and waiting to finally pursue a whole new version of you, like tea time you. It's time to be great. You creature, you have your ringer on.
1:06:34Thank you. Oh, I thought you were going to talk about his brightness. Oh, my God. It's always so dark, and he always has the night shift thing. Yes, because I don't like... I tried to fall asleep at night. It's not night. Wait, is the night shift always on? No, it's always on. You never turn it off. No, it's not on right now, but it is dark. I turned it off. Well, I also have a privacy screen on it. Oh my gosh, you guys are relentless. Shut the fuck up.
1:07:00What's on there? It's not as bad as yours. Grindr. Hmm? Grindr. She actually makes a joke about it. I do say that all the time. He has something that goes off every hour. No, this is loading permanently. I wouldn't have been shocked. Yeah, I get a notification from an app. I think it's like OfferUp, and it's like a money ding. Oh yeah. And she's like, oh, Grindr went off again. Yeah, he's popular on there. Especially with his new haircut. That's crazy. It is a bit 2000. You don't like the blonde? Just that it's a bit 2000. Okay. Alarm clock for me. That's a built-in app, though. An alarm clock?
1:07:45That's crazy. So Fitbit, AI Lens, Apple Arcade, GoPro, Crunchyroll, Shutter, Endle. Not as bad as mine? It's not that crazy. No, because... Well, a lot of them are canceled. Yeah, most of them were like... I mean, I'm kind of like... I try and finesse this. He has one thing in his Amazon cart. TV stand. Oh, I'm not going to buy that. Well, it's in your cart. Conveniently, both of them aren't going to buy the things that are in their cart. It's been in there for a while. Is it like a mount or is it... He's getting work gloves. He's getting a soccer ball, dog combing shoes, pet toys, pet toys, pet toys, pet toys, and a tie cable.
1:08:22yeah all dog stuff and then i needed work gloves to protect my fingers you're gonna have his soft hands yeah my my soft hands so as many of you know i've been a big supporter of course careers for a long time i'm not just a partner i actually own stock and i'm an investor so why did i partner with course careers because i truly believe in what they're doing a lot of people have questions about online certifications versus traditional college degrees let me be clear i wouldn't put my name behind something unless I knew it worked. The thing is, not everyone has the time or resources to spend four years in college or take on massive student loan debt.

Your future starts right now, and Course Careers is here to help you shape it. Okay, Chase Freedom. Oh, that's mine. This one makes no sense, but you're so close to paying it off, and then you put more on it than your minimum payment, and then you allow interest to accrue. Why? It just doesn't make sense. You could pay this off, and it could stay paid off. Why are you allowing this to be paid? I just don't understand. So I think I was like trying to get into snowballing.
1:10:44But like on one of the other ones, like I put more. Yeah. In classic snowball fashion, you purchased on it. What the are you talking about? What's on that? What I purchased on there. I'll tell you, but I'm asking why the you're purchasing on a car that you could pay off that is accruing interest. What did? Oh, my. Come on, man. It's Amazon and going and getting gas. but why put it on a card that is a green interest that you can just pay off? Probably the Amazon is just because one of the other cards was the one I was putting my Amazon on, but that one's maxed out. So I put the one purchase on there and then gas.
1:11:23If you can't afford it, you can't afford it, buddy. And nothing on there was a necessity. The work glows. How is that not a necessity? Was that what this was? You don't know for a fact. If there's one Amazon purchase on there, it's where it glows.
1:11:38Interest is accruing. Takes five months to pay off. Just pay it off now. Again, I always tell people on the show, just use the f***ing Fizz card, man. Only spend what's in your checking account. It forces you. It's like a debit card. Come on. Okay, saver card. This one's yours this time.
1:11:56What's on there? Well, purchases. a balance of it's basically maxed out as well $4 ,865.74 Don't look at me. Minimum monthly payment$166. I think this is a subscription card. Like I don't even know what I know. Why buddy but it's maxed out. It's just it's basically$120 a month is gone. I know. Taken from you. It's so bad. And you haven't made much money until recently. You're just allowing that to be pulled from your life, from your future. Yeah. Like, I don't know. It's just, it was so bad before I got this job. Like, I don't even know how I was surviving. Like it was just all on credit cards.
1:12:44And I don't like, I don't use the card now, but anything that is like a subscription because before, like I kind of, when one card, like the 0 % interest runs out, I would just get a new card and that's how I'd have it. And then now I have a couple cards and then once my financial situation got worse, then I just kind of started maxing them out. I just... You guys are made for each other. 21 years. 21 years? 21. Damn. You need to not pay the minimum monthly payment then. 50. Why do you want to get back together with her? Um, I mean, she said it before, like there was a lot of good times and then And, like, I think we were just in a bad spot when we did break up.
1:13:30What pushed us over the edge? You pulled the trigger. Like, she can agree. We were both just— What pushed us over the edge? What was the final nail? So we started getting—oh, I know what it is. We had the dog. And I feel like I was taking more care of him at that point. even though he was my dog, but we got him together. Like I paid for him financially. I was supporting him financially, but we kind of split duties. Well, he was, or she was watching him and I was talking to my dad downstairs. She was watching him. Well, she closed our bedroom door and he was out and he ended up like peeing in the house.
1:14:09He was still pretty young at that time. And I went into the room and woke her up and be like, Hey, he peed in the house, like on your watch. And like, she had done this like a week prior and like, she didn't, like, I was upset about that like she didn't want to help me clean it up and I was just like well why not help you clean it up it's an interesting final breaking point like that was just like a uh like it was a culmination of like okay all like our quality of relationship was like down at that point and I'm like I'm like okay you're not even really like helping me take care of the dog now that was just like and I know you're a little more split but why are you considering well before we get to that point.
1:14:49Also, I was working a lot during that time. I was working 60, 70, 80 hours a week and he worked from home. So it's like, I come home, I want to sleep, which is what he, now you probably understand that a lot more now that you actually work a lot of hours, but it's like, I'm not trying to come home after a 12 hour day and then watch the dog or take care of the dog. Like, unfortunately, no, like I'm tired. I have to be up at 7am. Yeah, but if you guys choose to have a dog and I know you took care of it financially, If we're choosing, that's our responsibility. Yeah, and like I would help out, but it was just like, I'm tired.
1:15:24I get it. You know, so it's like you didn't really understand that. But it's different. You're saying I understand it now. My job is way different. No. You were working 12 hours sitting at a desk hanging out with a bunch of people. Like you were probably working, but you weren't working for 12 hours. When I go to work, it's 10 hours of manual labor. No. I'm putting up 25 ,000 stuff. At the time, you worked from home. you maybe did 40 hours so we can play video games also while you were working. No, I didn't. No, I didn't. That's it. Okay. Well, so it's different. So it's like, yeah, like you should 100 % have more of a, you know, responsibility.
1:16:01It shouldn't be 50-50. Yeah, I was tired. Like, I'm going to take a nap. Like, I'm sorry. We were living at your dad's house. I don't know. I get that for sure. But also at that point, I didn't want to be living there. I wanted to be moved out. It doesn't matter. It's still your responsibility though. You're going to take it on. Yeah, for sure. But you need to be a little more understanding. So like now he just got a new job. It's been a month and he already relinquished custody of the dog because he can't take care of it. So it's like took less than a month for you to realize working this much hours of a week is really hard.
1:16:31It is. Especially for someone. So I work from 4.30 and I get home. It doesn't matter. Between three. And then as soon as I get home, I go. It's been two months. Before you got rid of the dog. That's what I'm saying. And then as soon as I get home, I go to work at the remote job. And I work anywhere from three to five hours. So then I go to bed at eight to nine. Like, when am I going to take care of the dog? Exactly. And that's what I'm saying. At that time, when was I supposed to? I'm not saying you were supposed to. You weren't in Seoul taking care of the dog at that point. I wasn't. Like, you were entrusted in for like 15 minutes and he peed.
1:17:05Okay. Why are you considering? Me? I don't know. Like, again, I've said it. No, I've said it before. Things used to be good. Things were good. I feel like I definitely am getting in a better spot in my life. What? Are you? I am. You said it's only gone worse. I kind of have the proof of that. So where's your better? It's getting better. Your better is you slept around for a little bit, so now you know what it's like outside of him. That's crazy. Okay, well, I mean, that is what happened. I didn't sleep around. Okay, you dated someone else. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. I slept in one person. You saw what it was like on the other side.
1:17:44Now you want to go back? Well, not just because, oh, it's not green on the other side. Because, yeah, there was definitely a lot of good parts on the other side for sure. But I realized it's not crazy. It was. Like, I had a great time with said guy, but I wasn't in love with him. I broke up with him. I was like, no, I don't really see a future with you. And it was just that. Versus I did see a future with him when we were together for the longest time. So yeah, I would like to have that for sure, but I don't want to move backwards, unfortunately. Her actually having that conversation with him is I feel like a big step forward because she has a problem with having difficult conversations.
1:18:24Why is it a step backwards though? I understand it's someone you've been with, but why is that a step backwards? That doesn't mean you guys aren't able to move forward together. I'm so confused. I don't want it to be a step backwards. How would it be? Because, okay. Going into the same relationship. You're worse. No, getting into the same relationship as it. Like, I like to be taken out. So, what if it's better? But it wasn't beforehand. That's what I'm saying. I'm saying, what if it's better this time? He's not sitting on his ass this time. But I don't know that. But I don't know that. He has changed, at least, in terms of the— But no, now he's working forever.
1:18:56Now he doesn't have time for me. But versus when he did have time for me, he still didn't spend it with me. That's the difference. So it's like, I don't know that it's going to be better. Because now he definitely has less time. That is like kind of true, but my job, when that was my only job, I worked it. That was solely it. And then he played video games. He sat on the couch. He didn't want to go out. We didn't want to do things. And unfortunately, I need more. And other people would give it to me. What she won't say about that job is the freedom that I had with it. She did like that because she had freedom with her restaurant job.
1:19:27So she's going to want, she went to the one where, oh, we take like two trips a year. Like she wants to do stuff like that. But obviously it doesn't look like either one of us should be taking a trip for a long time. That is true. But still, like, you see what I'm saying? She wants an exciting relationship, which it was in the beginning. Like, we did go do a lot of things. Exactly. And then it got to the point where I felt irrelevant. So, yes, when he did break up with me, it was easy to leave. How much did you speak up for that? How much did you advocate for? No, she only said anything when I started a hard conversation.
1:19:59Like, she would never initiate any conversation that was hard. And that was a big problem I had. And that's why I felt really weird. Like when we did break up, literally like it was crickets. Like I didn't get anything out of her. Like I didn't get like an okay or like a, like not even her opinion on whether or not we should. Like no like pushback at all. Yes, because we had basically the same conversation a couple months beforehand. And it was literally like me begging to stay. It wasn't her. No, it was not you begging. I was packing up. Holy cow, she's turning. Like, no, and that's the thing.
1:20:31So it's like, no, I'm not saying it's going to be a step backwards, but it could be. The purchasing you did on your basically max out saver card, dude. Amazon, Apple, Amazon, vending machine, vending machine, Spotify, Apple bill, Apple bill. But that's like double click Apple pay. So probably just some more bullshit, monsters, whatever you're doing. Energy drinks, dumb 30 % interest. I don't understand the point, man. What's the point? Why are you doing this? The interest accrued this year so far, nearly$600. Damn. Okay. Amazon Chase. Chase Amazon. Who? Oh, that's mine. Okay. Is this minimum monthly payment being made less than the...
1:21:21No, here it is. Okay. Minimum monthly payment,$57.75. balance is$393.80. Okay. Interest is accruing.
1:21:39Interest is accruing across the board. Again, it's another card that you could probably just wipe off. Now I'm working on it. Prime Visa. I think that's just a continuation.
1:21:53Who's the Hyundai Sonata? That's mine. 2023? Yes. Almost 8 %? Yes. Okay. It's a huge balance. Yes. It's less than it was. It should be as long as you're making your payment. $16 ,191.17. Minimum monthly payment. $3.60? $3.56. $3.56.34. Okay. What is this car worth? I think it's worth, last time I looked, I want to say it's worth$23 ,000. Around there. Are we looking up what it's worth? What do you think? Probably. We're getting about$20 ,000. $20 ,000? But even still, that is an equity position in the car that's not horrible. She did put a good amount down. I did. Yeah. And I'd probably sell it, get a$10 ,000 car, use the$5 ,000 in equity you're going to probably get, put it towards it and then only 5 ,000 hour loan.
1:22:56Yeah, she's not willing to change. She doesn't care. No, I'm not changing with the car. That's the one thing I said. Who gives a f***? Because I like it. I don't give a f***. I want you to get out of debt. It doesn't matter. She's the person I would kick off. She's the person I would kick off. She doesn't care. She doesn't care. She's not willing to sacrifice. She's not willing to come. You're 21. You'll have so many more opportunities for nicer cars. Who gives a f***? Make a temporary sacrifice. Get out of debt Get a fully funded emergency To have fun And stop f***ing around Dude It doesn't matter It's a car Who gives a f*** Who cares Yeah Who cares what the person It doesn't matter Yeah I will say like She did buy this car Her car before that was A pretty piece of s*** I'm not saying get a piece of s*** I know And I wasn't going to And so like What is this?
1:23:51Her relationship is strained with her parents. All y 'all's relationships are strained. I don't know what that is. That's my car note. Okay, what's your car? 2012 F-150. Great. So you can haul your groceries. I'm thrilled. Well, I got it for a reason. When I moved out to Colorado to be a snowboard instructor, I had a different car. that was actually a piece of shit. And on the way to Colorado driving to Colorado. Justify, justify, justify, justify. On the way to Colorado we were driving the tire. Well guess what? You've had this for a while. It's used and yet you're still underwater like $4 ,000.
1:24:36How'd you get the car? Huh? How'd you get the car? He got bailed out again by mommy. So when I moved out to Colorado I didn't have any money. My mom lends me. Is it jealousy That's your concern. No, it's just because he does it. It's definitely concern. It's definitely concern. I don't know. Hey, my mom, she lent me$3 ,500 to put down on it. Listen, you're never going to learn your lesson, though, if you always have something to fall back on. I know. That's why I don't like it. That's why I'm like, I'm working on moving out now. You're living with mommy? No, I live with my dad. Oh. Same thing.
1:25:09Same. Yeah, I know. And you? I live by myself. Okay. Do you look down on them for this? No, but it was definitely, yeah, I do. I do, yes. But, like, she can't say that. I've lived away, like, I lived on my own in Colorado. Like, I pay my bills. Yes. Like, we live together in Jacksonville. Yes. Like, I have lived away from home. And, yeah, I have gotten parental financial support, but, I mean, if they're willing to offer it. But I have, I feel like it has held me back. But it's just when we were together, we both lived there with his dad. And it was only supposed to be temporary, and it wasn't.
1:25:50How long? It was like six months. Was what it was supposed to be. How long was it? It was six months. No. We lived with your dad for a year and a half. No, we moved there. It was supposed to be six months, and then you decided you wanted to go to Colorado. So I stayed there for another six months, and then you moved back, and it was another six months. It was a year and a half. And it wasn't supposed to be like that. But it was. I mean, it's basically$12 ,000. It's$11 ,888.47,$357 minimum of the payment. What's the interest rate? It's high. $13, maybe. $12. I mean, a high gas. When you walk into a Burlington, you're walking into amazing prices and great gifts.
1:26:34That's main character energy. Because at Burlington, the holiday savings aren't the only things turning heads. Discover quality finds and perfect presents for everyone on your list, even those who are hard to shop for. Toys and jewelry to new beauty brands and styles, these gifts go seamlessly from our stores to under your tree. Seriously, with these savings, why shop anywhere else? Me for my car when you did the same exact thing. Well, I got it because I had to drive 40 minutes through the Colorado mountains to get to work. So the only cars that people have there are trucks. Four-wheel drive cars.
1:27:12The guy he moved there with had a Volkswagen Jetta, and he did fine. Yeah, well, there was also day—and you know I drove every day to work, right? No, I didn't know that. He drove, like, he drove the occasional off day. Like, if we had an off day and he wanted to go snowboard, then he drove. Like, if there was, like, any real snow, he couldn't go. Like, oh, shh. Is that all the debt? I think that's all the debt. What was the Bank of America checking account? Is that all the debt? What was the Bank of America checking account with 825? That's me Went down from$1 ,322 I think I paid stuff off Nope You just spent on the credit cards Make up whatever amount you put towards it So it doesn't even matter You're getting energy drinks McDonald's, Amazon Employees lounge thing Energy drink, energy drink, energy drink Energy drink, energy drink Energy drink, energy drink, energy drink Energy Ewel, Energy Ewel, Energy Ewel, Energy Ewel Energy Ewel, Energy Ewel, Energy Ewel.
1:28:15Sally Beauty. Um. For who? Wait what? Sally Beauty. Oh, that's for my hair. It's, I dyed it blonde. Energy Eating Ewel, Energy Drink, McDonald's, Energy Drink, Energy Drink. Probably more in there. Keep going. Energy, Energy, Energy, Energy, Energy, Energy, Energy, ANC, Energy, Energy, energy, energy, energy. What the f*** is wrong with you? Buy a bulk, you dumb tit. You're stopping to spend a shit out of money. Like four bucks median each time. Yeah. I need the energy drinks to go to work. And it's hard to... Then buy a bulk, you f***. But then you would be like, oh, why are we buying energy drinks on Amazon?
1:29:00Yes, I would because you should brew coffee. It's honestly cheaper. But even still, it would be better. Objectively. Financially. Sometimes I try to drink the coffee at work Because it's free but it's so bad I said brew coffee you can make good coffee And it's affordable I don't know how to do that It is literally the easiest thing Also I don't really like There's like two coffee makers at your house And one's a Keurig and one's an espresso Ask daddy He will help you little boy There's actually one because they're all broken Oh is it the Keurig I got him Sounds like it works I just don't like coffee as much.
1:29:39I really like the white monster. You zelled money out and you Venmoed money out. Your checking account, 358. Start at$1 ,149. Nothing to show for the maxed out credit card. Zelling money out. Noodles. Uber. Going in and getting some balls. Steak and shake. Marketplace. Steak and shake. Venmoing out money. Bubble down one. How many dates do you think are in here? Probably not on my card. Oh, that's a shot at me. Because she was the man in the relationship. I couldn't pay for him, I guess. Whatever. He asked. Well, getting waxed before flying here with you. No. Getting waxed again. Or a tip wax.
1:30:30Wax tip. Uber Eats. Amazon Marketplace. Amazon Marketplace. Amazon Marketplace. going and getting into bullsh**. Zelling out money. Cash app and out money. TJ Maxx. Chuck E. Cheese. All right, you predator. Cash app and out money. Chuck E. Cheese. It was with, I can't say names, but yes. I'd hope so, though. No, it was just funny. Fresh kitchen. Venming out money. Zelling out money. And bullsh**. Mm-hmm. This is stupid. It's so pointless. Savings,$862. Not a retirement for either of you. I do have a 401k I do too I don't know how to How much for each? Ish Probably like Three grand maybe Mine was good But when I moved to my new job They didn't offer for a 401k So I did pull Some of it out Yeah Wow That doesn't make sense No no no What's the logic?
1:31:24Because they didn't offer You pulled out That doesn't make sense Well to roll it over Oh you rolled over To an IRA? Some of it And some of it I pulled out How much did you pull out? How much did you pull out? I pulled out$4 ,000 Why? Because, like, I don't know. Because I don't know? Because I just pulled it out. Oh, for f***s sake. That's so moronic. I know it is. I know it is. How much is left? $2 ,000. Oh! So is that six? So, you know what? This is what you want? Wait. Buddy, you need to get on the apps. I don't like the apps. No one does, but you need to move on. They're terrible. They're so bad.
1:32:01They are, but you need to move on. Well, I had more in my 401k than you did. But yes, I pulled it out It doesn't matter I don't give a fuck about that Only my like 3k I don't give a fuck about the past It doesn't matter Good or bad, I'm only judging on now This isn't the fucking internet Well, it kind of is But I have a 401k now, my new job And I'm contributing to it So we're building it back up Mine should be more, but I How do I make a budget here, guys? You're two independent people I've never had this before What am I supposed to do here? What am I supposed to do here? Separate ones. Oh, fuck.
1:32:38That would make the most sense. All right, well, let's start with the one who's fucked. Which is who? You. What's your income now? It was like, it's$4 ,200 now, right? Okay. What's your rent? $2 ,100.
1:32:58Yeah. Why? So, obviously, when we broke up, I moved out, and I signed the apartment I liked the most that I wanted to get. And I definitely shouldn't have done it, but I really like where I live. But, yes, it's expensive. I told her not to do it. I said it was so dumb, but she was going to be paying, like, two grand for a house that we got because I was broke. Yeah, so I was like, if I was going to spend it on him, why can't I just spend it on myself? So it was very spiteful. so I did it. You just got a lot of spite over there. I do. I'm a very spiteful person. Minimum monthly debt payments are$710.34.
1:33:40Utilities, including internet, how much? Internet's in the rent, and I believe water's in the rent, but my electric bill's about 70. It's not horrible. Gas, room, room, drive, drive. Right now, 150. It will change in the next two weeks. Two? Let's budget for that. I want to say, let's say 100 just to be safe. Okay, car insurance? Car insurance is$230 a month. Phone bill? That one's a little rough. What? It's like$175. TP fund,$100. Makeup, tampons, whatever the f*** you need. Food,$300. Use the cookbook, cook for each other if you get back together. I don't give a f***. Medical healthcare, anything that needs to go on a monthly basis?
1:34:20It'll come out of my pay in like 30 days when my 90 days is up. Pet insurance for the dog? I also get it through work. Good. Pet food? A hundred a month. Gym? 26 a month. Anything else? Oh, shoot. I don't know. No subscriptions. I would say... I think, honestly, essentials, needs, that's probably it. Yeah. Okay. You need two... No, you need$3 ,910.34. Lucky with that. My rent will be going down shortly because my lease is almost up. When does it end? It ends August 16th. Good. And I already have a place. How much is it going to be? It'll be$1 ,000. Good. Flat. That's good. I know. So at that point, we'll budget for there.
1:35:15That's going to be$1 ,389.66 left. Once you move. Once I move. Yes. You're going to trade. Get your car. Your car you're going to owe$5 ,000 For your new car Because that's what you're going to do Because you're not going to bullsh** Because you're not a child Don't be dumb $1 ,000 Wow that Freedom Flex is crazy though Yeah Your total debt is$15 ,888.78 I think Unless I'm missing something That should be everything I don't think I owe anybody any money
1:35:55no I have that's if she sold the car that's if you sold the car yeah yeah good one three if I don't it's what math wise yeah under a year you're debt free that's what you're gonna do except you're only getting worse so that's what you have to do you're only getting worse stop that's what you have to do to get out of debt well I didn't re-sign my lease so that shows yeah but you're only getting worse in your behavior you're giving up you're changing apartments It's a very minimal thing. That's a big thing when it comes to income. Yes, but it's not behavior. You're just going to spend the extra money you have.
1:36:28She's actually getting a nicer apartment. It's just she's getting... $4 ,000 is your income. You don't have rent. Do you pay anything to dad? $500. Is that for utilities, everything too? Yeah. Cool. Let me get your debt payments. Your minimum monthly debt payment is almost identical. Like we really are for each other. $742.41. No, it's just higher. Gas, room, room, drive, drive. What did I say? let's just say 100 a month. My brother gives me money. Um, 130. Phone bill? I don't have one. Mom pays it. Okay. How does the grocery situation work at home? Um, like, since I work so much, I don't buy that many groceries, but I do buy my own food.
1:37:10Well, you could be meal prepping. Then$300, TP fund, just as with her$100. Medical healthcare, anything that needs to go out? Co-pays, whatnot? Gym? Um, 26 a month. Okay. Anything else that needs to be in your budget that I have not put in there? No, I think that's it. Yours is a lot easier, but also more debt. So$4 ,000 is what comes in. You got a minus what's recorded alive,$1 ,898.41. You have an extra$2 ,101.59 left over. That's crazy. Yeah. You have$29 ,627.02 a debt. And then for you, it takes just over a year to pay off. Then you guys can get together and follow up over again. Listen, I don't know.
1:38:00I don't know, guys. We're going to get into more drama that I wanted. I know this is a lot of drama, but I kept trying to bring it to finances. So there's more drama we're going to do in the post show. So stick around, then I'll get my final vertical, whether or not they should get back together. So make sure you subscribe to that. The Hammer Elite membership is the best YouTube membership on the history of the platform. They have told us that themselves. The platform. So check it out. It really helps support the channel. A lot of extra content, thousands of hours. Hammer financial scores. Go you.
1:38:27Spending a budget. You didn't overspend. You were about half, but you still spent a lot of money. That should have gone towards that. I'll give you a four out of ten. Debt. It's pretty bad. It's not horrendous. It's not the worst thing in the world. Two out of ten, though. Emergency fund. No savings, as far as I saw. Zero out of ten. Retirement. Definitely behind for your age, for sure. About a two out of ten with that. Real estate. Zero out of ten. And your Hammer Financial Score... Not terrible. ...is rounded up to a 2 out of 10. And you! Yeah. Well, you have some kind of stripper name that we gave you.
1:38:59What is it? Violet. Violet. Yeah, I know. Wasn't a big fan, but... Better than Destiny. That's crazy. Oh, just kidding. What? We know someone... No, her name's not... Never mind, just kidding. Actually, there's a streamer named Destiny, but I don't think stripper with that. Yeah, no, no, no. No Destiny. I was thinking of. So you're spending a bunch of overspends, 0 out of 10. Debt, it's not that bad, but you are over maxed out on a card, so I can't give you any higher than 1 out of 10. Emergency fund, you had a little bit in savings, 1 out of 10. Retirement, pulled out. But for your age being younger, you're all equal at 2 out of 10.
1:39:35Real estate, 0 out of 10. What? I was going to say I still have some in there. The amp up there. Yeah. And you still pulled out. It's dumb. I know. Hammer financial score rounded up to a 1 out of 10, so you win by a little bit. Guys, join us for the post show. It's going to get juicy. going to pull out some extra drama that we didn't talk about, demonetization reasons, and just fucking trying to stick to the finances. So make sure you subscribe.
