0:00To watch episodes of Financial Audit a week earlier, check us out on YouTube. Got myself into a little bit of trouble. For f***s sake. No, there's a f***ing thousand dollar restitution being held above my head. The f***ing why? Innocent until you're proven guilty. I was attacked and I was stabbed six times by three dudes. You were stabbed? So I basically pulled the plug on some dudes that their business was the dirty stuff. Why is this man in my studio right now? We're friends. I got you. Download my new Simpler Budget app today and take control of your money once and for all. How's it going? I'm Frankie.

0:34I'm 32 years old from the Bay Area and I'm here to do the financial audit with Caleb. The financial audit. Beautiful. Thanks for coming in, man. What do you do for living in the Bay Area? That's an expensive area. I'm a CNC operator right now. CNC? Computer numerical control. I got a f***ing gooner brain with CNC whenever I hit. Okay. Do you know the alternative? alternative wood okay and what do you make type in little computers i make high performance motorcycle parts oh cool what do you make income wise 3200 a month after taxes 32 okay in the bay area that's one of the most expensive areas very expensive so less than 40 000 a year net how are you usually i ask people like how do they feel on that income in their area flat out how the are you surviving are you surviving not really sir i mean i'm surviving not thriving you know you got to do some extra things on the side here and there what do you mean by that oh see okay well what are the part-time jobs or whatever i i did used to do a little hustling back in my day uh kind of had to stop that it's not really uh not enough time not enough no not time it's it's you know it's not uh it's crowned upon i guess there's certain things you can and can't do you know illegal illegal but are you jerking off dudes under the highway what are you talking about You know, I used to sell Oh, what kind?

1:59Oh, okay. Well, those aren't legal in California. Some pain pills and some mushrooms. Yep. Yeah. Okay. We had to shut down that operation. Well, that's smart because that's not the most legal thing, which would land us in pretty bad spots. When did you stop doing that? 2015. So what is this extra stuff you're doing? Right now, I just started working at a cigar shop, actually. Oh, okay. So it is part-time, like I said. This is, yes. Okay. So how many hours a week are you working there? I'm working 11. And what's your pay? 20 an hour. 11 hours a week, obviously, on the smaller side, but this is a part-time job.

2:37So bring an extra$880 before taxes. What hits your account on a monthly basis from that job? $880. I get cash. Is it legal? That's a friend. It's under the table. So it's not legal? I mean, it's a legal place of business, you know. just not conducting their business legally i guess i'm not a legal employee but as far as what i mean that's doing business i mean working is working work is work work is work but there's also tax fraud it's not enough it's not enough what's not enough tax 880 bucks a month extra well i agree but also i mean if you want to make three cents an hour we can do that as well when you need the money and you can't get extra jobs what are you supposed to do i mean honestly the business owner is the one that would really get in trouble on that probably not you okay so an extra 80 i don't know if i'm fully supporting that but it's essentially 4 000 hours a month right is that your income or is there more no it's i mean yeah okay about 42 tops 42 tops so what's average i just started this job three weeks ago so i was really 32 to 34 depending on how many hours okay i'm gonna say 32 to 34 100 yeah depending on how a month yeah with both jobs combined no now do you add this 880 in because it's only been three weeks like i said that i've been doing this 4200 about what it should start okay even with that how we doing we're not doing so good yeah it's 50 000 net what 50 000 not a year yeah oh you gave me a very concerned look when I said that.

4:13No, because it's super low. I should be concerned. Well, that's net for what it's worth, but it's definitely low for the Bay Area in terms of survival. I think that's low for anywhere. Well, no. If you're in the middle of rural Kansas, you can stretch$50 ,400. How are you living? Yes, but you can live higher than you can in the Bay Area. But that's not what necessarily matters because you're not there. Are you okay? You're like licking your little corners. You're a corner licker. a little nervous sometimes you're not any of the things that you used to sell oh positive i've never done any hard drugs except for uh i've done some some seeing some but uh i had a dramatic mother so i uh well don't do that yeah didn't didn't do any okay what what okay what is going on man this is uh curious start conversation so my finances just got a little messy um yeah i'm possibly gonna incur some debt that is uh taking out more deaths extravagant compared to i mean i got myself into this debt on my own obviously but no what does incur extravagant like there's there's a high performance car no there's 150 000 restitution being held above my head why uh because california laws are bull but california laws were broken california says who i didn't says california I mean, when you...

5:36No, I'm asking what? Oh, well, laws are... I mean, I didn't break any laws. Okay. So it's like when you get arrested, right? You have to be... You're innocent until you're proven guilty. Were you proven guilty? No. It's an open case right now. Oh, so this is not for certain? No. Well, where are we in this proceeding? I should know by April 18th. Is that sentencing? Not sentencing. Is that... It's a restitution hearing. Okay, yeah. Yeah. April 18th. You're ready to be up before then, so we can't give a go. Are you playing footsie with me? No, I just... Okay. Can I ask why? It's like, it's a hard one to talk about, but it's imagine like, you break a window at a Laker store one night, you do something stupid, and they say, you're not going to get in trouble for it.

6:25We're not going to say that you did it. We'll dismiss it, but you pay for the broken window. Does that make sense? So you're paying for someone's broken window? It's a little messier than that. Someone's saying I did something. Oh, okay. He said, she said, and it's like, well. He said she said. I didn't break the window. You can't tell. He's saying I broke the window. I'm assuming, I mean, you can't tell because you're in the middle of this. Right. Okay, that's fair. That's fair. Okay, you have a lawyer? I do. Is this a paid-for lawyer? No, I'm enrolling with the public defender. Yeah, okay. That's it, I had to save some money as well.

7:00Well, yeah,$150 ,000? What are we expecting to happen? What is your defender expecting to happen? I'm going to incur at least$100 ,000 of it. So we're talking about like maybe... How the f*** are you going to pay for$100 ,000? I don't know how I'm going to pay for$100 ,000. First, I got to figure out how... You're going to need$200 ,000 of debt? Oh, okay,$150 ,000, that is the restitution. I need to figure out how to get out of this without having to pay because it's not... It's not fair. It's bullshit. It's like, I mean. Well, I don't know. What if the court deems it's fair? I mean, it's hearing you out and with your legal representation.

7:40I decided to, I mean, I can still take it to a trial if I'd like, but I decided to do this different program. What's the different program? I'm going to keep that name to myself right now. Name, can you describe? It's a diversion. So they offered me two years in prison and I denied the two years in prison. so they said you could take it to trial so a settlement it's not it's it's such a it's like it's a california thing it's so weird i don't i don't it's like a new thing not a plea either because what kind of it's like you wouldn't go to jail if you weren't no it's it's weird because it all gets dismissed if it gets disproven but he's this person or this entity could still uh ask for the restitution if they'd like okay so we're navigating this expecting to essentially have to owe$100 ,000 and...

8:28Or have to possibly... Because if I can't figure this out with this public defender, then there's the possibility of having to hire a different attorney that can actually, you know, possibly get rid of this or... Will it be done as a part of a civil judgment? That could be coming next. Because if I do... Next? Separate? Yeah, because I can't... Well, you won't be able to go through bankruptcy if it's not. Probably. Really? Yeah. Huh? Because I thought about it. This is part of civil judgment. Huh? I thought about that. Well, I don't know if that qualifies in your case. I'm also getting very limited details for what it's worth.

9:02Okay. From you. Okay. So this is a civil judgment versus, so this is like a restitution thing. So once we go through this restitution hearing, based on where that. I mean, if it's through a criminal conviction, then that's going to be hard to go through kind of bankruptcy. Is it a civil? Or is it a criminal? No, it's going to be. It's in criminal right now. Okay. So, yeah. The likelihood of you being able to get this written off via bankruptcy. Okay. So you're going to have to pay this. Now, in a restitution that we're talking about, is there an expected payment timeline for this that you are expecting that your public defender has told you?

9:44No. Because the next one, once we hear this. Next one? What do you mean next one? Is there a separate one or is that? It's the same one. So, I'm sorry. The next phase of this after April 18th will be if I do get stuck with any amounts of this$150 ,000, then based on the information that I haven't been able to give you, I could turn this around and civilly sue him. Okay. Well, yes, you can sue anyone for anything. That doesn't mean it's a f***ing... Okay. Because with... He's not losing any money. I'm losing money. Well, okay. So you're going to counter essentially? Well, yeah. I don't owe him anything.

10:17I shouldn't owe him anything. He should be paying me. Okay. For real? Well, I wish I could agree or disagree, but I literally do not know. When it's all said and done, I'll run it back and tell you, and you'll be like, holy s***, this is what you were talking about. Yeah, I mean, we can post an update to the pinned comment or something. Yeah, there's another incident in 2025 that kind of plays into it, so I don't know if it's about time for that one. It plays into it? Okay, then, yeah, let's get some context. So back in my dealing days, not doing the right thing, I was around the wrong people.

10:50and when did that those days stop the struggling days they really stopped in 2015 okay so it was a long time ago yeah okay go on i'm a felon in las vegas for you know for sales charges and whatnot but i was doing you know not good things i was trying to make money which is a good thing why is this man in my studio right now my private studio of which this i have uh fear no you should be enough we're friends i got you yeah i was uh i was attacked and i was stabbed uh six times by three dudes you were stabbed yeah six times almost didn't make it oh that's why they brought these things okay this makes sense i understand okay my producers want you to show us exactly what happened these cheeky little producers i get it i understand what's happening here here you dropped four it's a three-on-one yeah you can be the gay one here no the dude who did it was the gay one so he can be he could be the gay one i come walking down the street minding my own business and these bushes start moving i'm like holy turn back well i guess i passed them right i look back and this dude comes out the bushes starts running at me i'm like i look back and i I noticed them and I was like, oh, shit.

12:12It's a big deal with a knife running at me. So I started running this way. I just kind of laughing. This is weird. I'm getting chased with a deadly weapon. Last thing I know, these two dudes pop out from behind this shed. You're in Vegas? No, I was in the Bay Area. Okay. And I didn't know what to do. And now I'm stuck. I got these two dudes right here and I got this dude coming at me with a knife. Yeah, Zuckerberg's running behind you. I turned around and it was kind of like, I don't know what to do. He was coming at me. and we just clashed, started engaging. These dudes came. They didn't ask you for anything.

12:43There's no talking when someone's running at you with a knife and guys are trying to grab you. What, were they trying to f***ing diddle you? No. Why would they be trying to kill you? Because there's people who think people need to die, I guess. Come on, they would want your wallet or something. No, they didn't want my wallet. They wanted to kill me. Are they f***ing cannibals? What are you saying? No, they just wanted to kill me. They didn't think that I'd... Why would they want to kill you? you because i was doing dealing uh there you go i cut off some people from what i was doing and i switched businesses i kind of got away with more like you know the chemical and bad stuff and i just went straight and i was growing it for a while so i basically pulled the plug on some dudes that their business was the dirty stuff okay so what happened me and you know me and him are going at it these dudes kind of hem me up yeah you're jason momo in the middle yeah he gets me a couple times and then we start going at it a little more and then we end up in like in a more secluded place So there wasn't a lot of room for this guy.

13:36So then he starts, you know, patrolling, watching the street. And it was me and these two. I would picture you as a middle. Eventually they got me. I was compromised. I was on the floor. You were compromised. Yeah, I was on the floor. They got me in the back here and they got me in the neck and they got my. With their knives. With their knives and my lung collapsed. That's so scary. So I couldn't. I couldn't. I couldn't breathe. And it was filling up with blood. And eventually when I was on the ground, I kind of a little bit of the fight was left, you know, out of me. I was putting my leg up to kind of, you know, keep away from those deadly blows when they were trying to come down and I finished the job.

14:08And I got my leg tore up a little bit. And then, for the grace of God or whoever is up there, the neighbors came out and their dog was barking. And they stopped and they ran like right as it was about to be. You know, who knows? Look, private student loans can make it feel like you're one missed payment away from selling your grandma's heirlooms. I miss you, Grandma. Y Refi says, chill out! No more sacrificing the family jewels! They don't reduce you to a credit score number. They just want to see if you're actually planning on paying. By the way, they're providing interest rates under 6%, which is practically a unicorn in the student loan jungle.

14:48I mean, some lenders want to charge you so much, you'd swear they were putting your firstborn on layaway. So if you're tired of monthly payments so high that you can't afford a single sweet treat, Y-Refi's gotcha. They'll arrange your repayment plan, ease the monthly hit, and even let your poor cosigner off the hook. Mom or dad? They can finally breathe. Oh, and if you think you'll just get stuck on a call center wait list, guess what? 4.6 stars on Google says Y-Refi actually picks up and treats you like a real human, which is a shocker, right? In finance, that's something as rare as me not slamming a desk every episode.

15:22What? So if you're done fantasizing about robbing a bank, don't do that. By the way. But just check out Y-Refi. They're here to help you actually crush these loans without selling your kidneys on the black market. Go to Y-R-E-F-Y dot com slash hammer. That's Y-Refi dot com slash hammer. Or call 888-Y-Refi dash 78. That's 888-Y-Refi dash 78. And see how a real personal approach can help you escape the private loan nightmare. Because let's be honest, living with crippling debt till you're 90 is not the retirement plan you dreamed of. I'm glad you're alive. The adrenaline kicked in. I'll tell you in a minute.

15:59And I got up. And the adrenaline wore off for a second. I peeled over. I had to really think about what was happening. And then luckily one of my neighbor's friends actually showed up. And I was on my way walking home. He walked me a couple blocks home. And the adrenaline fully wore off. And I just passed out. The fuck would you go home and not the hospital? What the fuck are you doing? You're stamped by knives. What the fuck is happening? I just, I generally, it's also like, I don't know, you don't want to, you think like, you don't want to, you know, that whole like mentality, oh, you can't tell on anybody.

16:31I was just going to go home and figure it out. So who was it? I was these dudes that I would, I did some transactions with. So it was business related. So they weren't trying to achieve anything. They were punishing you for. I wasn't punishing. I didn't. Well, no, no, no. Well, you know what they fucked over, right? I guess. In their business world. Yeah. Of illegalness. Yeah. Yeah. But at the end, that's why I was being mad at somebody. I would try to get over on them or try to fuck up their business like he did mine. But instead, he's like, oh, he should not leave me. And it all comes down to blah, blah, blah.

17:06A few years later, incident happens. Now you owe someone$150 ,000 probably, says the court. Yeah. Okay, here. I'll take them. Let's get these guys out of here. I don't want to get too turned on. So where do you think you are then? We do need to get into the actually established the context of your entire financial situation for how we approach this as it comes out. Because, I mean, that is a critical big bill comes down. It's a mortgage, essentially, in the middle of Kansas. So where do you think you are in the world of finances? Zero to ten, zero being the worst finances, ten being the best finances.

17:42I may be a two. Okay. Okay. You guys want your Hammer Financial Score? Use that link in the description below or go to CalebHammer.com. You can fill out, go through the whole quiz and everything, and we'll tell you where you stand in the world of finances. And if you want to come on this show and you like to get stabbed, go to CalebHammer.com slash apply. We'd be happy to have you here. All right. So I see here. Oh, no. So this isn't the restitute. Oh, is this his? That's what he's claiming. in so okay so he got an ambulance bill from the thing that i guess we're not going into that's okay then a medical bill 142 000 medical bill 872 just 872 uh some image 100 bucks and other image earbuds and airpods airpods well yeah that's the price of airpods for what it's worth who claims it i don't know yeah dude who wants his airpods back i guess uh and some yeah two weeks of pay either way it comes out to 150 ,548 dollars and 75 cents okay did you get restitution after your accident did you press charge no actually i uh i didn't do much i just kind of ate it got better and just kind of moved on with Well, if you got restitution, maybe you'd be able to pay for the restitution you're about to owe someone.

19:08I just thought about that, and I did reach out to somebody about that. And you only have two years. Yeah. So that's chalked. You waited. Yeah. Okay, so f*** me. I was like, I mean, this guy wants money. I'd probably deserve it. I mean, for what it's worth, again, I don't really know anything. But if I did incur medical bills and everything, I'd kind of want it too. The medical bills were all paid for. I wasn't working at the time. Through his insurance? No, California victims of a crime. So he was a victim of a crime. Oh, I thought you were talking about what happened with him. Well, yeah. No.

19:45I thought you were talking about what happened with him. Where he is paid for? We're yet to find out. That'll be done via discovery? Yeah. So getting into your finances before that bill. Okay, we're starting with an Amex. Everyday credit card. How are you doing before the restitution? Can I hear that? Because I have a balance. I have a balance here. An intense balance of$24 ,994.88. So how were you doing before this restitution? I would say. What are you talking about? Mentally, physically, financially? Probably the topic of the show. Yeah. I was doing all right. I wasn't. Yeah. $24 ,994.88 on the first credit card we're talking about.

20:33What's the all right part? Before that. We're talking about before? Before the restitution. This isn't restitution. Oh, correct, correct. I'd say it was around like April of last year when I opened that credit card. So it hasn't even been a full year. How are you doing before all of this new shit? Oh, not good. Okay, so what was happening? I had more expenses than I could pay for. Why? Got myself into a little bit of trouble.

21:04what for sake okay the rest of the rest of the stuff is whatever but no no actually give us some context we're learning all about you i got a dui myself so that i did i drove substance alcohol driving under the influence california do you okay yeah so next thing you know when uh september of 2023 last year was basically a long legal battle and i was leaving work a lot going to court, doing this. I was sentenced to some therapy, so I was doing some therapy. Sentenced to therapy? Yeah. You didn't get sentenced to any jail or anything like that? Good. What's yes? Yes as a no? Yeah. Yes, I got sentenced to therapy, no jail.

21:53Good. Yeah, you probably need it. Oh, for sure. It's a bummer that you had to get sentenced for it. DUI, how often were you driving drunk? They asked me the same thing, and I wasn't. I wasn't at all. That was literally one of those. Okay. Just like you did nothing wrong in the case where you're getting restitution. It's not going to add up, right? I know. No, I think it is adding up. I believe the equation has just been solved. I was going through a rough time, whatever. I was going through a divorce. Have you ever gone through a not rough time? Yeah. Through your own actions? Yeah. When? uh there's a time my uncle he took me on like on a cool surf trip to peru i was like me and him were just you know kicking it uh traveling yeah but what about anything that you did there ever been a time where it wasn't life through your own actions that you were in charge of not being taken and paid for on vacation i guess when i was hustling And that was really the only time I had like some.

22:54Why aren't you hustling? Why haven't you been hustling then? Where's the hustle? The hustle, you know, it left a little bit, honestly. Well, no. I mean, that's still shit. You were doing illegal and moral things. Right. So it was just kind of finding. I wouldn't say that's a good time. There was no career. So as far as like the hustle. Yeah, no fucking shit. I mean, there kind of is. It just gets deeper in the game. Right. So the hustling aspect of just hustling or hustling the game. So I always had a hustle, but I hustled. If that makes sense. So now. No, I get it. Talking to the Mike Hustle.

23:26You're. So now actually, I guess, finding a career, what I want to do. And you know what I mean? I, I got lucky. You know, my dad, he owns a company. Okay. So you got a DUI. Are you saying this card is all from the DUI? No. So I also, around the same time last year, my dog had a, what is it? When you, like when you tear your ACL on your knee and a dog gets your TPLO. Okay. So. That's sad. Yeah. I essentially, that's why I opened up that credit card Pet insurance! That's why I put it in everyone's budget Because if you're not in a good financial position How are you ever going to pay to actually You know, treat something that happens to a pet And something will always happen to a pet Because they're dumb How much did that cost?

24:11That was$10 ,000 for the surgery Okay, well, there's another$15 ,000 to account for Oh, this is maxed out This is maxed out With a$499 $99.89 minute with the payment. This is maxed out. Literally $5 you can spend on here. $5. $5! Spend more. Well, yeah. $0.18 more. $0.12 more. Before that, like I said, when I was going through... No. What was the other$15 ,000? One of them was being in the drunk tank for the DUI. They left me with my cell phone. and I was having a rough night. I was upset. And I bought a PlayStation 5. In jail? Yeah, in the junk. You, what is wrong with California? I was upset.

25:04I was really upset. Upset at myself. And I'm like, oh, I'm going to need something to do. So you get a PlayStation? How is that to cope? How is that to cope? You're hungover and you're in a drunk tank bed and you got your phone. So PlayStation, that's the natural hangover food? I mean, what else is there to do in there? I mean, I place a parlay. Instead. Download Risk. I don't know. Monopoly. It doesn't matter. Download an app and play Falling Sand. Yeah, true. True. You don't need to order a place. Okay. No, but I needed to because in my mind, that's what I was like. So far, that's 500 to 15 ,000.

25:36I was planning ahead. Okay, so I'm going to save money by not going out, by not drinking and driving. I was like, hey, you know, what's that Uber and drinks and all that? That's like two weekends right there. Right there. Yeah, maybe three. Okay, that's$500 to$15 ,000. Right. So another one I just started. How did you open last year? Yeah, I just started buying myself things. I started buying things for other people. I'd go buy food. I was just, you know. So this is bullsh**. It's bullsh**. Bullsh** spending? Okay, so we know you make like$4 ,200 a month. How much did you spend last month? I have the number.

26:15Why don't you tell me how much you spent last month? Why don't I get a little number of how much you spent? I'd say I probably spent like five grand last month. So you're good with spending$800 a month than you make? At the time. I'm getting... Last month. Yeah, I'm not okay with it now, but I was okay with it last month. The f*** changed in two days. You know, things change around here, you know? Oh, wow, I'm in front of the internet, so now I'm going to try to look good. What? No. No, there's no looking good. So why are you okay with the fact, why didn't you give a fuck about spending$800 more?

26:51I didn't give a fuck because I just, I didn't give a fuck. Like. Are you giving up? Are you giving up on life? I thought about it. I really did. I was like, man, maybe I'll just run this credit into the dumps. Maybe, maybe. Cause this is actually. As of two weeks ago? No, this is like all kind of last year. Yeah, but this is, I'm talking two weeks ago. Oh, two weeks ago. I was just. yeah I went through I don't know it's like you get I went through a little phase I guess last month right just just last month yeah because I was I snapped out of it wouldn't be into a maxed out credit card if it was just one month well like I said I snapped out of it and then I was just you know in in a strange place last month so I just decided that's not where you're fucking listen you only spent four hundred thirty four dollars and ten cents on this credit card so it wasn't just last month so I've been because like you obviously you can see that one's maxed out and my income versus my bills so i'll use that one just to pay a couple bills right now i'm not really spending on that five thousand instead of the forty two hundred you made correct okay yeah you spent ten thousand seventy five dollars what the are you talking about you don't know a single a single minute detail about your finances not a single thing you haven't been responsible once in your life i've been responsible you can't say not once in my life Oh, come on.

28:09In what world? What world? The things we've heard about so far. Where have you been responsible? I took care of my dog. I'm a pet owner. Yeah, but you weren't able to take care of him responsible. You had to go into debt for it. You weren't responsible enough to have pet insurance. I had pet insurance. Or an emergency fund. But how many people have that type of... Doesn't matter. That doesn't mean it's responsible. It is responsible to open the credit card to take it. To take care of it? You did the thing that you would do because you were irresponsible. You did the thing you had to do because you don't get into a situation where you are responsible for an other thing's life until you can take care of an emergency.

28:49It's as easy as f***ing that. It's not that easy. Yes, it absolutely is. Absolutely. You put yourself in your desire to have a dog over your ability to take care of it. Absolutely. Well, another one of it was. And it's selfish. So physical therapy. That was going to be another charge. Okay. So I didn't do that. So how much of this is the? I did that myself. What? Okay. Yeah. Where's your qualifications for physical therapy? I made it myself. I got stamped my own approval. YouTube. Did this and that. Got her all this great food. I just. To get her to walk. Got this great food? Yeah. Okay. To get her to walk again.

29:27Run, jump. Oh, your dog's physical therapy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not yourself after your knives. Oh, no, no, no. The night of the long knives. That's all. That was part of it. She got farmer's dog food. She got all the different supplements. She got, I mean, I was just, let's go, girl. Which I appreciate. I appreciate. You're eating good. You couldn't afford the physical therapy. You couldn't afford it. It's as simple as that. So it's not like you had really a choice. You kind of did this on your own regardless. Like this is, I mean, you were forced into that position. Well, this is pretty f***ing exciting for the world of financial audit.

32:09Okay. Why are we spending it on a credit card that we can't fully pay off? Well, it actually isn't accruing interest, surprisingly. And that was also part of the mentality too. I was like, oh, I'm going to figure this out within the time I have before the interest hits. Okay, the time you have is like five months. and then excuse me I'm uh how much do you have to spend how much do you have to put towards this to pay it off before the interest starts accruing interest starts accruing like yeah May 1st no wait wait I just told you I just told you in five months oh okay okay 5 ,000 hours a month is what you have to put towards this so that it's paid off before interest starts accruing that's not you make 4 ,200 hours a month So that's not happening.

32:56So why are we putting more money on this card than we are putting away from it? Yeah, let's just do a minimum payment without even purchasing. How long does this take to pay off the card? Minimum monthly payments only, which is all you do, without purchasing what you're incapable of. But go ahead. Best case scenario for you. I don't know. What's that, like five years or something? Five years? Yeah, 28 years. Yeah, you'll be getting freshly out of jail by then.

33:23Yeah. that's rough yes but without the interest you'll literally be 60 no because the plan was is i passed everything the plan the master plan the master plan okay let's hear this plan this grand plan i passed everything i need to do for a california real estate license oh good absolutely good because of this and it's like the most competitive real estate market anyway that's where everyone wants or two reals. Yes, yes, please continue with this plan. But also part of this little incident that's going on with the money and whatnot, it's held up the state of California from issuing me my license, which bringing back up the conversation from earlier, when I was talking about a civil suit, the money that I might have to pay so-and-so.

34:11Civil? So it is civil. It's not criminal. No, it hasn't gone civil yet. Which it might It might go there based on, like I said, I have a real estate license I should have. I should have had it April of last year. But because it looks like this, they won't give it to me. So that's a loss of income on my end. A loss of income. But it takes like a year to even make your first commission. Part of it. And that's if you can even do it, man. If I showed up to, if I had you, if I was selling my house and you were walking someone in to visit it, I'm thinking you're leaving with my silverware. What makes you say that?

34:51Yes, what makes me say that? A few things. But also, there's also some properties in the family. I thought about property management. Property in the family? Yeah, my dad has. What's the family? Is this the gang family? Whatever. The last name, my family. People, they own a business. Do they support you? Like what? Financially. I rent from my dad. He gives me 20 % less than what he says. What's your rent? $1 ,200. And you can't live off of$4 ,200 a net? I mean, I could if I was budgeted and financed. Well, yeah, which is your choice. True. But I didn't want to. Okay. What the f*** can I do about that?

35:38Well, now we're here because I want to. Right? So there's things that I need to clean up. We're here. it got a little messy and I can't clean myself this up myself and the people that I have like on in my corner I guess they can't help me do it this is a they can't exactly that's what I'm saying so what are we even doing here what are you trying to get out of this I need to know what what the best option for me is besides the debt that I might incur but as far as like paying things off I know I was under the impression what if I balance transfer one card get a high percentage loan pay them off and just kind of cut the bull because that doesn't make sense i mean sure if you cut the bull the fact is i've every guest almost that's come on the show is they've done that and they were gonna cut the bull and then they don't so it doesn't matter then you just have double the debt because you take all this debt you consolidate it then you just build it all the way back up again because you have unlimited spending on this 25 000 hour credit limit and you get it all the way back up then instead of 25 you now have 50 000 hours of debt for the same exact card.

36:42That's exactly what happens. You are not a credit card person. You can't manage debt. You can't manage having access to other people's money. You can't for a single second. And it is f***ing you. It is destroying you. You can use the Fizz card, debit card that builds credit, because I know the excuse is always, I want to build credit. If I close the credit card, I want to... Yes, and I care about credit, but you will f*** it. You are hurting yourself. I know that. It hurts. I feel it. So also my dad being a businessman, I always thought that, okay, he, you know, show me some things here and there, but I also never like really got into it to like actually learn from him because the family business isn't something that I don't know.

37:20You seem like a rich con. Whoa. No, actually not. A rich son's kid. I'm not rich. I guess my dad's wealthy. No, rich son's kid. I grew up with some, with some money. Yes. You seem like that because it was just, I don't know. Every stereotype of a rich son's kid that ends up being a failure, you're living it. I can't say a rich son's kid being a failure. I didn't necessarily – I wasn't spoiled. You know what I mean? Like, oh, given this, cars, this and that. I was always given opportunities. He never – he's a hell's angel, dude. He's gnarly. He's – you know what I mean? Am I about to get my fucking knees?

38:00No, of course not. He's a straight dude, but at the same time, growing up with a dad like that and a mom that was on drugs, it was different. So my dad, his business came first. Yeah, we came second, but he couldn't pay for us or take care of the things he needed to do unless business was doing good. What's the point of having a business done if you're not taking care of those around you that you love? I mean, for example, like, I mean, my own sisters. I got sisters. You're about to say son. No, I got sisters. Do you have kids? No kids. Okay. Okay. Like, yeah. When I was young, he sent me to a boarding school.

38:31Yeah. But I wasn't a rich, spoiled kid then. This is my first start hustling. I think that's the reason you were probably saying. I was 15 years old and I was selling outside school. Yeah. That's why. You get sent to boarding school for that? Yes. I'd have been like, yo, that was my kid. I would have bought him potato chips. Yo, sell potato chips at school. He grew up selling bazooka bubble gum at school. And that turned into other things. I was like, at the same time, it was like, smack me over the head, send me to a boarding school instead of saying, hey, hey, I see what you're trying to do here, but this isn't the way.

39:07I'm not saying he owed me that, but there's different ways I think. I don't know. I mean, we're hearing your side of it. My best guess, if I have to play devil's advocate and put me in his shoes, is mom was no longer in the picture because of all those issues. Dude was trying to provide, but his business took so much from him. Didn't know what to do with you. Probably gave it multiple attempts and eventually gave up and tried to put you in a system that might correct your behavior. Yeah, but that's not a rich kid situation right there in a boarding school. It's like... Well, I mean, that part doesn't matter.

39:40I don't know. He sent you off to a school because you were a failure. How are you a failure at 15 years old? Because you're selling... That's not failing. You're trying to succeed. Listen, there's not a single person I know that I went to school with that was a pothead that's successful now. Pothead? I was selling it. I didn't say smoking. So you just... They usually do. At high school, at least. I was so smooth with it. Yeah. Well, we know we... Okay. Listen, you're still spending on this credit card like crazy. Amazon, McDonald's, El Gran Amigo, Grubhubbing Wendy's. I didn't know people used Grubhub, I'll be honest.

40:15It's like new for this show. I guess Prime gives you some type of benefit. That's how that popped up. I was like, cool, why not? You're using that to get Wendy's with money you don't have because you're in a desperate amount of debt and you have to pay this off in five months in order to not accrue any interest and you have no choice of actually even, no chance of even doing that. You went and got some bullshit in the gas station, McDonald's, Zinmark, Amazon, McDonald's. Spend is ridiculous. How are you ever going to get out of debt if we're just putting everything right back on? I have to do some.

40:54You have to do something? Yeah. And that's something that's grub-hubbing? Well, I got to eat, so, you know what I mean? I have to. I'm going to f***ing just kill myself. Eat before you do it, at least. If anything, don't die hungry.

41:10Dude, it's just... I don't f***ing understand. You live in an area with two whole foods per one person. You can grocery shop and cook. I do. Then what is this? I need to eat! And that's our excuse for Grubhub and f***ing ourselves even more in debt. I have to eat. Why say that then, you tit? That situation, that day or whatever. I mean, cooking wasn't an option or it wasn't going to work out. You know what I mean? I'm going to give you an example. Once this balance starts accruing interest, that is going to be 22.24%. Let's do some math. $25 ,000.

41:55that is going to be five thousand five hundred sixty dollars a year added in an interest that is being taken from you you're losing over a month's worth of your own income and just one interest on one card i'm going to give you another example for the money you make when i started to get my finances in order i wish i had today's tools they would have not only helped me get ahead but also stay on track. So if you're a college student or just not a credit card person like I was, meet today's sponsor, the Fizz card. 43:02Fizz has both a free and a paid membership tier. If you want to become a Fizz member, there's no hidden costs or interest, just an upfront membership fee. And hey, just for my audience, the next 10 ,000 people to sign up with code HAMMER25, get an extra 25 % off. So try out Fizz today and let me know what you think. That's a new thing I negotiated. So I use an app called Moomoo to invest. Okay, cool. So you take$2 ,000. You put it in there. When you put$2 ,000 in, they literally give you an immediate$250, which is a great return on your investment. That's like 8 % or something like that. It's pretty darn close.

43:35And then you get an additional 8 % on your money literally just sitting there. You're getting a 16 % return on your money. That is better than you get in the stock market on average. That is an incredible return. Incredible benefit of literally just using that app. Great. So let's do it. But it doesn't matter because you are losing 22.24%. Listen, that is the best benefit I've ever seen using an app because they want new users. So whatever. So they make that little promotion. Great. you can't even compete with that because of how bad your interest rate is on this credit card so there's no point you can't even utilize the literal best returning I can't utilize the card doesn't matter though the card the credit card I'm gonna kill edge I went to a few concerts slate edge let's talk about that slate edge blink 182 I had to go see them last year.

44:35Was Slate Edge? I think it was on that one. I wanted to go see some shows last year. I saw them last year too. Sure, I felt like an emo teenager. Okay, great. I didn't go into debt for it.

44:51It was fun. And I brought a girl. And I paid for it all. Wow, I'm proud of you. You're almost acting like someone who just turned an adult. Well, no, I was also coming off a divorce, you know, wanting to date again. Oh, I said the word divorce. I didn't even, like, fully internalize that earlier. So you were married? I was married to a psycho, bro. Yes. Fucking real talk. Her. I mean, I could be a psycho, too, you know, so maybe two psychos together, probably, you know. I don't know. How long were you married? A year. Oh, my gosh. When did you get divorced? October of 2023. Why did you get divorced?

45:33Just not healthy. We're two people that just should not have been married. Go on. Just toxic, bad spending. Go on. Cases, police called, fake things. Who stabbed who? Nobody stabbed anybody. She did things to me that I never reported and whatnot. and I was this is an Amber Heard Johnny Depp situation what are we talking about legit yeah it was like something just and whose side will the public be on oh mine all day really yeah no it was like I know beautiful girl woman whatever she's cool and learned a lot but when it when it was all said and done there was like some real turmoil that kind of was like it was bad okay what was her financial implications to the divorce oh she was she made nothing she made $300 ,000 a year and got bonuses and I was living at her place.

46:30I didn't really have the career. So the financial implications, you had to get the f*** out and had to live on your own. I had nothing. I didn't even have a bed or nothing. So when I divorced and moved out... So then you took a lady to... Blink-182. Blink-182. I also had to buy things for my place. I bought a bed, dressers. Yeah, but you can get a mattress. I bought Supreme Salt and Pepper. grinders. And that's fine. There's a lot of cheap ways to move into a place that a lot of people feel like they have to deck out their place immediately. Even with used stuff, you don't have to do that. Mattress on the ground.

47:05You can do some couple things with coat hangers. She's like, it's so easy. She's in the business. Really, you're living on the chill. True, but she was in the middle of building a business for herself. Who was she? Who were we talking about? My ex-wife. Okay. I was talking about you moving, but sure. Right, so going, moving, all my things, talking to the mic. All the things that I had that I had acquired that I guess she had paid for. I didn't get to keep any of them. That doesn't change my point. So I guess the style of living when I was living with her versus living on my own and how I was raised.

47:36I was like, oh, I wanted these nicer things instead of a basic bed, this or that. It was like, oh, no, I want to be comfortable. I want to be happy or whatever. Yeah, a lot of wants, bro. I don't give a f***. I want it all. And I want to be done with this conversation. $5 ,497. And sorry, that was your previous balance. $4 ,461.97. Great progress is now the balance with a$54 minimum payment. Why was it a little progress? Because purchases. We're purchasing. Why the are we purchasing on a card again? Which is almost at its max. It's like$150 away,$140. Why delay this even more? This is interest-free.

48:20This is interest-free. This is interest free until November. I wanted some tattoos. So you have like eight months to do. This is for tattoos. We have$5 ,461.87 for tattoos. Eight months to pay it off. You got to get a couple here and there. You have to get a couple here and there. No, I don't think you have to get a couple here and there. I had to get the ex's name covered up. You had your ex of one year. Oh my. Yeah, she was the toxic one. Okay. Bro, you want a cherry on top? A cherry on top of one. So she had my initials and I had hers, right? Okay. She already had two other dudes on her that once we got married.

48:58Usually we call that a red flag and probably don't get tattooed their name on our body. Yeah. Yep. How long were you guys dating before? String of good decisions. A little over a year. Okay. We were engaged at like seven months. Might be a bit fast. Very fast. I think just where I was at and where she was it was like okay where I was at I feel like I've heard where I was at or where I'm at I don't understand like we've all had periods of life but do you just view your entire f***ing life as like chapters for each few months of that's where I was at that's how it's been it's almost been like a f***ing cartoon show but why because it's so much in your control it's like all these different characters other than the mom situation before everything else you've talked about has been in your control i mean besides the crazy dudes i thought you know he needs to die it was your control to be a part of the gang it was not a gang it was your control part of it could be deal illegal substances was your choice yeah and there are consequences that come with that world you dealt with almost the worst of it yeah but it was still your choice to do that immoral illegal correct but i don't know man like i don't i of course have sympathy that you almost died no no i don't there's no sympathy for that no i have sympathy for that because you're a human being you almost died of course i have a little bit yeah but it was still your choice to get into to be in that situation correct but at the same time just the actual aspect of it like no cafe and you went into a thing and got a pack of zins it's like okay it's just you have to put 682 dollars to this on a monthly basis so now we're at five thousand six hundred eighty two dollars a monthly basis in order to not accrue interest on the card so far i mean this is brutal man it takes 17 years to pay off just doing minimum to paint just doing minimum monthly payments only without any additional purchases i was gonna say that's not the plan but there really isn't a plan i always thought i'll miss plan the plan was real estate so i don't know so what's the new plan without real estate then i you know i was kind of hitting rock bottom them and i wasn't sure i was like whatever's going on i need to uh get a handle on my finances you down with a therapist for free at sounderbine it's a lovely resource that we have here that our audience that myself that i use and i'll also get you connected with a free certification from course careers so that you can utilize that put it on a resume hopefully get into a career field of your choice because i do have people you know in my hometown that uh they know me take advantage of these tools that you put in the work and get the results i will because i do have people that want to hang my license they're like they ask me hey what's the deal you know you're getting your license anytime soon i'm like i mean i i call my girl you know whatever wendy up at you know no that's you grub hubbing wendy's you're getting it confused i was good up in the dre and she's like oh we need this information this information so it's all working out and i think i'll either end up getting it in the next month or two or possibly have a suspended one where it's only good for two years isn't something i want you to get into until you have less risk over your head because it still takes a year if not more so in the meantime like what i picked up so the other one with the with the with my back i can't even do uber eats and i can't even back with my background check when that pops up yeah because you're a criminal no no you know i can't do uber eats can't do mcdonald's and things like that so i get the under the table for my friend that's like the first thing i've had to yeah what about your little tech job though i don't know the table too what tech job wait you do car tech right or no no no well what is the job your main job oh i make a high performance motorcycle parts yeah okay that what about that is that under the table no that's legit that's a family business so use that so someone else's family that's your family yeah it's like if i didn't have that i mean like you know i'd who knows i've that was part of a my pops is like you know an opportunity here here's a place for you to work.

53:03Use it as a stepping stone. You don't have, you know, if you want to make a career out of this, go for it. If not, then just f*** it. I just want you to go out there and f*** it. I gotta figure out what I want to do. Yes, figure out what you want to do, but I want you to show really good behavior for as long as you can to try to get this off your record quicker. Right on. Yeah. Because it is going to hold you back. It legitimately is. But the quicker we can get it gone. Yeah. You were supposed to put this. Listen, you came on to literally the most popular personal financial show on the Internet.

53:41Like, that's not a brag. This is a point that I'm trying to make. You went on and came and said, but even though I was found liable for that, I wasn't actually drunk. So you refuse to admit that you made a mistake. But we want to get to a point where we can hopefully get this off your record. You're not helping yourself. And we literally, for context, talk to the guest before and be like, hey, what can we not talk about? That could have been something. And yet you just come and say that to try to look good. To be like, oh, it's not me. I'm perfect. That's not helping you. No, I'm not trying to look good.

54:18I'm far from perfect. Then why not admit that you were fucking driving drunk? I was. But thank you. But also, what the fuck was that from before? so what i couldn't get any ubers they're all canceling on me that night oh so now we're making excuses you still chose to drive i chilled in my truck for a couple hours you couldn't get any ubers in the bay area off i showed my lawyer everything i had multiple can no no you keep going until you get more you use every service you call a fucking taxi if you have to family friends you do everything and then you'll walk or take the bus as far as to didn't call family or friends i I didn't walk.

54:55Sleep in the damn car then. I was about to. I got some food. I was chilling. You don't risk other people's life. It's disgusting. I agree with that one. You agree, yet you did it. I got to agree with that one because, you know. Yet you did it. Can you get more hours with the family business since it's your family? How many hours a week are you working again? Forty. Can you get more hours with the week since it's family? Possibly, but not necessarily. It all depends on business. What the fuck does that mean? That means nothing. If it's busy one week, hey, can I work a couple extra hours? Yeah, but it's not like, oh, yeah, I can search.

55:25Do you do that? When it's needed. Yeah, so you do do it when needed. Yes. Okay.

55:33We just got to stop. I mean, I have information here. Like, you didn't just go to the concert. You went to Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins. You got 49er tickets. Music festivals. Hey, whoa, whoa. Don't frown them out. All this shit. That's life changing right there. Music festivals? Tomorrowland? You're right. It changed your life of having a pile of debt that you now have to sacrifice. for literally 15 years according to how long it takes to pay off. I'm sure you were because you're an endless dump throughout every decision you make. I mean, you can't call me a dump because that's really fun.

56:04Every decision you make. Fun can equal dumb. What are you talking about? Well, that wasn't dumb fun. That was like fun fun. There's dumb fun and there's fun fun. It's put you in debt that's going to take literally double your life to pay off. If that isn't scary enough, then nothing's going to change you. Nothing's going to change you. These trips will. You go to Tomorrowland, it'll change you.

56:30I'm serious. I know you are, and that's what concerns me. I know. That's what concerns myself, too. Then change it. It is. I have... So, I didn't swipe it for Brazil this year, because Tomorrowland's in Brazil. So, I went to Brazil last year. So, they're running it back this year, but next year it's in... Wait, wait, wait, wait. Tomorrowland's a huge music festival. I know. What did you just say? You're running it back? I think I'm going to go. They do it in Bangkok next year for the first time. So I think. So you're missing the BBLs and you're getting some happy endings instead. No, I've always wanted to go to Thailand.

57:12You could surf out there. There's a few other things you could do. And then there's Tomorrowland out there too. So why not? You could just check out a few different things. Because you are historically someone with money and great decisions. It was my birthday in October when I went to. Knowing how quickly you move in with people, you're going to marry a fucking lady boy. $792 of purchases on this credit card. Now, for what it's worth, you actually paid off your previous month's balance on this card, which is a shockingly demonstrated ability of good behavior through this entire mess of a conversation in finances.

57:49Because it is, but it's almost like this table is a little messy, but you're right. But there's a straight line down the middle. So it's like I'll around over here, over there. But I need to just really stay down the straight line. And sometimes this card. No, I'm saying this table, just kind of using it as an example. It's like things. I got it. There's a line in the table. Oh, so distractions. I had to really kind of cut out. Yes, I can tell based on this conversation. Historically, you've done a lot of lines. Never done a line. I swear I totally believe you you are someone that is trustworthy we can do a lie detector test

58:29Never done it Why are you paying this card off but not the rest I'm just confused. Like, why are you choosing to? Was that the platinum you're talking about? Yes, it is. The platinum has the highest interest rate. It's like something stupid. So because the other ones are interest-free, you don't care about them? I don't care, but I thought I should put the care into the ones that are going to impact me first or greatly. The previous month, you had a$1 ,480 balance. Was that recent purchases or was that a previous balance that existed and you were just continuing to pay it down? That, continuing to pay it down.

59:01Then why did we just put$792 on here? That was to come to the show. To here? Yeah. On the platinum? Yeah, it wasn't. That was my plane ticket. Not all of it, dude. No, it fucking wasn't. And we reimburse. I haven't been reimbursed. Yeah, I'm just saying. No, we do afterwards. And it covers what you purchased to get here. But no, it's not. Because there was an Uber trip that may have played into this. But then there was going to a gas station, getting some bullshit. There was an Uber trip that may play into this. you purchased something in a lounge you didn't have to do that Amazon was not for this Apple Apple Pay Apple Paying lids for a hat was not for this f***ing show you dumb a** and Apple subscription was not for the show you dumb a** McDonald's was not for the show you dumb a** PlayStation Network was not for the show you dumb a** Door Nation was not for this f***ing show so don't say that bulls*** Nick's Resiline was not for the show.

1:00:00Grubhubbing El Borio Supremo was not for the show. Grubhub was not for the show. Going into gas was not for the show. Uber Eats was not for the show. Disney Plus is not for the show. Apple is not for the show. What the f*** are you talking about? There was no plane ticket on the show. So this was a f***ing lie. You just f***ing lied to me. You just f***ing liar. I just charged that. You said$790. $700 of purchases. Not one were to get here. So that one hasn't posted on there there. So that was just a mistake. So I'm talking about different ones. Okay. Those ones are bullsh**. Did you just pop us in?

1:00:41No, I was about to. Yes, I smell your minty disgustingness. That's not Zin. Huh? Come on. That's what I know. Oh, I hate that smell. Get it away. Get it away. Get it away. Get it away. Illegal. Illegal maneuver. Illegal f***ing maneuver. Now you're fucking assaulting me. I'm pressing charges. I asked beforehand if it was my bad. If it could be in your pocket, I said yes. Oh, I had asked if I could pop one at some point. Who'd you ask? Lindsey. Well, Lindsey's betrayed me. And she's betrayed my trust. I'll get it out of the room if you like. I apologize. So as many of you know, I've been a big supporter of Course Careers for a long time.

1:01:19I'm not just a partner. I actually own stock and I'm an investor. So why did I partner with Course Careers? because I truly believe in what they're doing. A lot of people have questions about online certifications versus traditional college degrees. Let me be clear, I wouldn't put my name behind something unless I knew it worked. The thing is, not everyone has the time or resources to spend four years in college or take on massive student loan debt. Course Careers offers a practical, affordable way to launch a career in a high demand field like tech sales, IT, and accounting, where companies are hiring based on the skills needed, not broad college degrees.

1:01:54In fact, right now, one in three companies are dropping degree requirements, and that number is only going to continue to grow. I know some people think online programs are a quick fix, but that's not the case here. Course Careers takes effort and commitment, but they provide you with a streamlined, proven path. They offer up-to-date, self-paced courses, one-on-one or group coaching from people that work in the industry, and most importantly, they help you actually get hired. Just look at graduates like Nemeso, who went from driving FedEx trucks to a cybersecurity job at Disney. That didn't happen by chance.

1:02:26He put in the work, and course careers guided him every step of the way. And what truly sets course careers apart is that it's not just about learning skills. It's about landing a job. Their curriculum is designed based on what employers actually need, and their network of industry coaches will guide you through the entire process, from learning the skills to interviewing, resume help, and beyond. So if you're serious about starting a new career without wasting years or piling up debt, give Course Careers a try. Start with their free intro course linked in the description to explore your options.

1:02:56And when you're ready, use the link in the description for$50 off the full course. Your future starts right now and Course Careers is here to help you shape it. Oh, just... Oh, go spit it out in the lobby. Oh, I'm disgusted. I'm disgusted right now. I didn't know I was going to be attacked. You don't like fresh breath? First of all, mint? You can get fresh breath via not mint. There are many flavored toothpastes. There's also no flavored toothpaste. There's also fruit smells from Tic Tacs. There's a lot of things you can do. I had an apple one too, but I chose mint. Did you spit it out, you little animal?

1:03:32I did, and Lindsey took care of it. My apologies. Creature, it's lingering. It's f***ing lingering. Oh, I don't... I don't want to... I am getting just absolutely... Is that a smelling or is it just my presence? It's fucking raging because for some reason the one scent in this entire world that I cannot do has to be literally like the most pungent scent. Do you owe on this card still? The platinum? Do you pay it off every month or do you owe on it? No, I pay the platinum. Okay.

1:04:13you have a pay plan on getting something to the phoenix but you paid it no you made it to zero okay just freedom freedom to get locked up in james and go to jail and you do have that choice maybe stop f***ing up dude three thousand one hundred eight dollars and 49 cents to go in. Kind of, it's close. $40 minimum fee payment. $3 ,108 and 49 cents. This better not be stupid. Okay, this is interest-free. Did you just open all these cards? How are they all interest-free? You must have just opened these recently. I opened the Slate Edge and the Amex every day last year. Okay. You paid it off last month.

1:05:04You did. And then you purchased 3 ,182, which you cannot pay off. That's impossible for you to pay off in a month because you don't make enough for that. With your rent and everything included. So what the f*** are we doing? Why put more on this car that you can pay off? You ruin the entire thing. What do you mean ruin the entire thing? It will accrue interest if it's not interest-free. Is it interest-free? No, it's not. No, not the Freedom War. So you're going to destroy the whole purpose of this. Dude, it is all the dumbest f***ing purchases. Some of them are dumb, but I mean, they're dumb to certain people.

1:05:45I said there's some like you can't get those memories back. It's like I know I'm going to be. Memories. Memories of f***ing sea brewing and fog city Java. Fog city Java. Going in and getting your minty zins. Going in and getting your minty zins. Going in and getting your minty zins. Kenny's Cafe, minty zins. Kiero Taquiera and going in and getting Minty Zim's and Nick's Restaurant. These are some great memories, dude. These are great memories, man. Well, you're going in and getting some bullsh**. Fog City, that's good memory. It's Fog City, Java. Minty Zim's and Staravista. And it was s*** that me and my ex never did.

1:06:21I was like in lockdown or whatever with Psycho Nut for a year. Why did you guys break up? why? yeah what was the like what was it? it was honestly we shouldn't even have been married so it was honestly it was just some super deep sex buddy in reality you guys were just f***ing we were f***ing fighting why did you guys choose to get married then? it made sense honestly it didn't make sense it didn't make sense? I thought with how she was financially and where I was going, I was like, okay. What was the money? I'm going to. Money talks. I'm going to take care of what I need to take care of, which I have all these things.

1:07:10What was like, we are done? Oh, she cheated. We were separated and she went and f***ed someone else right away. You were separated? Yeah. So I still call it cheated. It was like. That's not how that works, I don't think. If you guys are done. We weren't done. We were separated. We hadn't filed for divorce or anything. It was like, she was like. You were separated. Did you? But. okay you were not legally but emotionally you guys were done no yeah you were separated so you guys severed right okay she went out and someone else right away well because you guys weren't together but we were like we weren't you were legally married but you were separated meaning you guys broke up correct but we were in the process of not like okay we're separated but like this could still work kind of you know oh okay well that's different okay so she went out and threw it in my face threw it in your face yeah like by the way i went and got dick this weekend and it was liberating oh my gosh you guys are okay i was like cool anyway she sounds bad we went we went back and forth for for a little bit and then uh it was just almost like a little codependency issue too it was just like uh i was just and then fighting with her literally

1:08:28and then when she moved that was another one so she moved she moved like two hours away obviously she was done with you you weren't done with her yeah but no she went back and forth it's like she would come down and it's toxic this is just this is just so i had i bought a truck when i was with and that was one i had a i had a tacoma we're gonna have kids and get a boat i traded in my very california view yes traded in my tacoma and got a chevy once when we divorced i was riding around in a chevy which i loved it was the car i wanted before i had the tacoma sure and then trying to see relevance i'm going up to see her i helped her move and all that you know what i mean because she wanted to move our plan was to move eventually you were addicted so yeah and i was driving up to see her a lot doing this and that literally just a lot of that money at the time too uh before i this no no in this month this was all 2023 i don't give a fuck then so but coming back around hold on you said all this was to make memories buddy this is java city pacific back to the huh the truck story last year when i was over you know over all that i traded in my Chevy to get to Tacoma and lost some money on that.

1:09:40Which... Okay! It probably wasn't the best decision. Great! I'm talking about Fog City Java. Minty Zins, Minty Zins, great memories again. Just really important, critical things. Pure Toe, Minty Zins, Nick's Restaurant, Minty Zins, Uber Eats, which is really good memories. Really good memories. Get Jerry. Minty Zins, Minty Zins, Uber Eats, Minty Zins, Humble Sea Brewing. Incredible memories. Uber Eats, Uber Eats, the best memories I've ever had. Roseland Bakery, Minty Zins, Nick's Restaurant. Really good. Are you framing these memories for your future kids? I bought some art when I was in Brazil, too.

1:10:27I don't see Brazil in here. I see Uber Eats and Nick's whatever. October the end of the year So I don't give a f*** I thought you were talking about this month I thought you were talking about all together Because it's not just last month I'm talking about last month I'm talking about the amount you purchased Down here that we talked about The 3000 Why the f*** do you think I'm talking about in October In what possible reasoning Do you think I'm talking I talk about just every month in general This was last month I did the same thing in October that I did last month You talked about Brazil You're just going to You fat

1:11:09No it's not funny I mean okay it's not funny but you gotta keep The morale up man Morale up? My morale's to zero now buddy Get your morale up a little bit No I need someone to come pull up you and shank me I'm done Watch how it all turns around I promise he promises yeah we will see because you got wheel collectors and you got some tickets and DoorDash Chick-fil-A I bought a collector's hot wheel from my little nephew oh you know so you know he's got a bakery and uncle that buys him door dash next restaurant Menti Zin's Goodfellas Pizza It's the next restaurant, Uber Eats. Next restaurant, Uber.

1:12:01Goodfellas Pizza, Nick Restaurant. See you as candy.

1:12:09Put them all in our book. We'll all look back on our Facebook memories of your Uber Eats purchases. Yes. Critical things for our well-being. Kind of. No, no, not at all. Human interaction, too. Human interaction. How are you supposed to stay at home all day? I thought we were buying the PlayStation so we could avoid those human interactions to save money. But you need them. Shut the fuck up. I can't because I'm having human interaction right now. You sure are, and I wish I could get out of it. Is this another freedom card or a different card? Do you have two freedom cards? No. Okay. This is a different month of it.

1:12:53Toyota. Now, is this relevant to your truck story? Is this what you were trying to say? Is Toyota? Are you skipping ahead? I don't know. I mean, I was just part of something that I was talking about. But yeah, Toyota is in the financial. Okay. Do you have ADHD? No. Are we sure? Yes. It's okay if you do. I don't care. I don't know. You're jumping to different things. Like I told you, there's the straight line. There's the distractions. Stay on it. Okay. Okay. What is this car? Loan. That's a lease for Tacoma. What is the car? Tacoma what? Oh. Year? 2023 Toyota Tacoma. And it's a lease. Off-road.

1:13:36I don't even know why I leased it. That's the honest truth. If I asked you now why you leased it, you wouldn't be able to tell me? I would tell you. I don't know why. I'll tell you. The 15 months remaining. I'll tell you. I turned in my truck all emotional. I didn't want to drive it anymore. because I bought it to have a kid and buy a boat. You know what's remaining on your lease? Do you know what your buyout on the end of the lease is? I don't remember what my buyout is, but I think I only owe like five grand. No. Oh, for the lease. You're not even two-thirds done yet. Either way, right now it's worth$35 ,000, but I don't know what the rest is owed on it for the lease, and I don't know what the buyout at the end is.

1:14:19It doesn't show that in the statement? No, it doesn't, or else I would have that information and not be asking you that question. It will be middle next year when that lease is done, and then you've got to figure something else out. So the lease situation, I don't know. It's baked in a lot of fees. Who knows if you've got a good deal? Who knows if you got the car at a more expensive version? Who knows if the car will be actually worth what the buyout is or if you're going to be forced to buy it out at a higher price than it's actually worth or forced to go start a new lease or get a new car. There's a lot wrong with you being in this situation.

1:14:54You're f***ing dead. You're stuck in the lease. Are you at least sticking to the mile restrictions? Oh, yeah. Okay. Would you know? Yeah, of course.

1:15:06I saw a note as we were talking that you owe money to your families and friends. I don't have any of that written down, so I think we have to just talk about it. You owe money to family and friends? Yeah. Okay, what do you owe to who? I owe my auntie$1 ,000. Your who? My auntie. Auntie. Is that what you call someone who's not your real aunt? I was going to call her my auntie. She is your aunt? Yeah. Biologically? Yes. Like family? Yes, my dad's blood. Okay, aunt. Okay, cool. Perfect. I know sometimes we use silly words when they're like, my auntie. but it's just a close friend you know close friend of our parents okay whatever what do you owe her and for how much and for what for why what does that I owe her a thousand dollars okay it's not crazy it's obviously a bad position to be in but when I was in Brazil last year for my birthday me and I you didn't go to Brazil I did that's what I was telling you that was one of the memories that's what I went for but not the Tomorrowland Brazil yes Yes, you did or didn't go to the tomorrow night?

1:16:14That's why I went. That's why I was... Just kill something. Okay. Sorry, sorry. That's on me. Go for it. Go, go, go. Continue. You were in Brazil. You ran out of Zen, so she had to supply? No, me and my dad get an argument about some storage. About some storage? Yeah. Okay. Because I rent from him, and I also had some storage from him. Okay, sure. So we get a little text message argument out there, and he raised my rent while I was out there, and a text message. Okay. So I came back. His probably taxes probably went up, by the way. He's probably just offsetting it, but go on. I came back. Couldn't, not couldn't afford rent, but it was like that came up.

1:16:51What did rent go to and then from? I went from$800 to$1 ,200. Yeah, that's a big jump. That's a big percentage jump. What was his justification? Did he give or did he just say? I just said. Okay. Or technically he can. You're in the street, but when you get home, you don't pay that. I mean, fair enough. I feel like it's more context. Listen, given you and everything you've done and legally and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and the language you've used and the excuses you made, I bet there's a lot more to that story than you are actually telling me. And I bet he would have a very interesting – What if I called him in the post show?

1:17:22What would he say? What would he say? What would he say? We would argue about the storage because he said I could put some things in this area, and he didn't go in that area for like eight or nine months. So you were essentially using an area that he didn't know you were using? No, he said I could. okay but he fully fully rescinded that but but but he's saying he didn't say that yes okay so you're using areas that he didn't think you were paying rent for so he was just charging you for the new areas as well that's what i called it okay that makes sense and as he said she said whether or not okay so what's the thousand then to your aunt so when i when i came back from brazil So rent got increased.

1:18:04A couple of legal fees came up. Legal fees for what? Now what? Oh, the DUI, paying for DUI class, blah, blah, blah. And then I was – Yeah, probably three more. The platinum, like I said, I always like to pay that off, and that was going to hit some interest. And I had spent a little bit of money on there in Brazil, so I used money from my aunt and my friend to pay the platinum. Yeah, family loan, pay off your credit card. That's great. You owe her monthly or what is this? What's the deal? She asked how long it would take you, and I said, give me three months. How many months ago? That was January 13th, so I give her$500 a month.

1:18:39You give her$500? I've already given her. It was$15, so I gave her$5. I'll give her$5. There you go. And I'll give her another$5 next month. Do you owe more family friends? Another friend$2 ,500. For what? That's much more substantial. Not that$1 ,000 isn't. I didn't want to get it all from him, and I didn't want to get it all from her. so I split it just to kind of make it look like I wasn't. So you really borrowed, well, because it was$1 ,500, $4 ,000 total? Yes, sir. So you went crazy in Brazil instead of... It's not funny. What do you owe him on a monthly basis, your friend? He's like a brother to me.

1:19:18Cool. And that's why I asked about the auntie thing. So yeah, I told him I'd get him in six months, but he doesn't even care. But he does, but he's like, just take your time. I don't worry about it. And he owns his own business. Are you paying him monthly? Yes. How much? I gave him five last month. I haven't given him five this month yet. How do you afford that? You can't afford that. I know. Okay. So I got the tax return last month. Yeah. So that was. That's why. Because you didn't actually do anything. So, but he owns his own business too. And every once in a while, he has stuff for, oh, can you work this event?

1:19:53Can you work that event? He does memorabilia. He does memorabilia signings. For sports people, celebrities. That's a way to make an income out there. He'll have signings. Oh, can you come work this signing for me? Okay. And he'll take it off the tab. Checking account$1 ,400. Not bad. Zelling out money. Dog Patrol coffee. Minty Zins. Minty Zins. Frog City Java. Okay, so it's the same as the other thing. NorCal Surf. Taco Bell. ATM will draw$1 ,000. Where'd that go? Say that again? ATM will draw$1 ,000. Where'd that go? Oh, those are for rent usually. I withdraw a thousand or more. It's just a thousand.

1:20:31It's not your rent. Because if I had an extra 200 on me or something like that, if I already pulled it out, I only pulled it. Minty's in ATM withdraw 460.

1:20:44Substantial amount of money for your financial position. What do I do? Oh, maybe. Yeah. What did you do with it? That's what I'm asking. I have to go back and look 460. You don't know where that went for sake, man. zelling out 400 where'd that go oh i zelled it no this is a separate thing i'm going forward oh you zelled 400 and then you also atm withdrew 400 where'd those go 800 so most likely 800 went to rent i'm not recalling no they were two separate as a zelle of 400 okay you took out a thousand from the atm you then atm withdrew an additional 400 and then you additionally zeld out 400 where did those go we're so done dude i know where there is no tell so uh my uncle he has cancer and he has these uh cancer diet things that one of my aunties diet yeah like my aunties puts together for him really really it's one of his sisters and she'll sell me money oh for my brother can you take take this out and go get him um his health food or whatever like those kind of things like he's on a super gnarly like juice diet and this and that and so i have an auntie that she helps him out with some of his uh did he need panda express no well that's next and you don't have money and you have debt it's the amateur 220 starbucks sun valley dairy pizza man goodfellas pizza fog city java norcal surf nick's restaurant zelling out a thousand one hundred or a thousand ten this can't all be juice there's no way there's no way man your your story's not ending up far west fungi huh i'm gonna be are those zells coming or going out out i told you out oh buddy i'm about to pull my i'm continuing because i'm done bar and grill living swell kombucha kombucha kombucha kombucha kombucha kombucha kombucha yeah wow i've lost that word winters tavern nick's restaurant minty's in minty's in minty's in minty's in gotta stop man this is crazy atlmichra$260 no story where that went probably then$20 atlmichra no story atlmichra$260 i do i buy cash so how much you spent on like 200 250 a month That's an insane percentage.

1:23:10$86 in savings. Wow. Dad, be so proud. $30 in another savings account. Wow.

1:23:24$2 ,406 in Robinhood. Is that in cash? No. That's crypto. It's all crypto. All in. I don't even know. But like why? Why is that our retirement? That's not right. Oh, wait, wait. That was like. Oh, what's this? What's this? $18 ,000? Is this in a retirement fund? That's a 401k. You have a 401k set up. I guess. Yeah, it was set up for me. Don't even acknowledge this. This doesn't exist. You don't have a 401k. I don't think about it. Good. And don't pass this moment. It doesn't exist. what are they nope what are they there's nothing don't ask don't ask i just nope

1:24:17should i be putting money into the 401k nothing i don't put it doesn't exist it's false fake news doesn't exist you're done okay and with the crypto i i had a friend that he uh But he did some time and he got out after like 14 years. And he was like, man, I think that might be the move. I was like, okay. Your debt minimum monthly payments are$1 ,423.28, which is insane for your financial position. Your rent is$1 ,200? Yes, sir. What about utilities? That's included. Okay, including internet too? No, internet and cell phone 205. That's all in one? Verizon. Yeah, Verizon, internet, Verizon. That's pretty brutal.

1:25:01That's pretty brutal. Okay. Renters insurance? 24 a month. Vroom, vroom, drive, drive, gas? 160 to 200 a month. 200. Car insurance? That just got crazy. I'm sure. Because the DUI just had to do that. You deserve it. It's now like 398 a month. Sounds right. And it was 160 a month. You deserve it. TP fund, anything else you need. Survives 100. groceries is$300. You can do that using our cookbook. Literally right here. You get it with the budgeting app. Pet insurance, 108. Okay, I was going to ask about it. Pet food, how much? About$100. Any medical costs ongoing? Prescriptions, co-pays, blah, blah, blah.

1:25:52I got life insurance,$175 a month. That's post? Life insurance for who? Me. Yeah, but who's the beneficiary? My best friend passed away, and I left it to his brother. For you? Okay, how much for this life insurance on a monthly basis? $175. Is it a whole life return? I don't know. Okay, we can look into it. My dad said it would be a good idea. I understand what you're saying. all i know is i think it's one of those policies where you own it after 18 years and then and then if you need to withdraw money out of it you can but just lowers the the payout amount listen here's the thing man in the end you are literally under by a hundred dollars what what i'm under what i'm you make 4200 4 ,305 comes in you don't make enough with your extra money and that's you living on a bare minimum

1:27:06I would try to cancel the policy I get the emotional side of it I would try to cancel it because you literally just can't afford it how old's the kid? I don't have a kid the kid that is the beneficiary 34

1:27:26Cancel this. Try to cancel. Because one, you don't have enough money. You don't have enough money simply to literally survive bare minimum. Well, you don't. No, you don't. Hold on. But when can I get a super preferred whatever again? I did it when I was like that. I thought it would be. Life insurance can be good. You're doing it for a 33-year-old. But it's not. I didn't do it for him. I did it for myself because I was told it would be a good idea. And I was told it can be used as an investment vehicle when done correctly. But even still, it's more about the beneficiaries. But I just said, I don't have your policy in front of me.

1:28:04I don't know for sure. But either way, you're likely to make more in general because you're not going to take advantage of any kind of system within life insurance, like barring against yourself or anything. You most likely would just get a better return investing in a Roth IRA. but even still you without getting free money via a match or something you do not have enough money to be investing you literally cannot survive you can't survive you don't have a debt payoff strategy and you have 150 000 bill coming that you are not going to be able to expunge via bankruptcy maybe you should go through bankruptcy to expunge the rest of this and you're going to have to make some concessions and it's not cheap to go through bankruptcy it's a few thousand and it can be stressful depending but then 150 000 is going to come owed you just have to work your ass off we You need to accept some responsibility for your actions.

1:28:49Stop going down the dark roads you end up going down. Try to get your record cleared sooner than it would naturally fall off. That is the path, man. But it is going to be you working 60 hours a week for a very long time, doing as much as you can do. Who knows how long this under-the-table job is going to last for, you know? And who knows if they'll ever get caught anyway. And the thing is, you have the$150 ,000 coming. So whether or not you declare bankruptcy, you have a massive debt over your hand in your head. and who knows what that repayment structure is going to look like ordered by the court it's it is i would go through potential bankruptcy but you need to fight this i don't but what is more serious here is you keep going down these dark paths right and if you don't stop you are never going to have anything ever an investment right now makes no sense man makes no sense so you think the life insurance is investment it doesn't or it could be an investment it is likely being used in the way your dad talked about it as an investment vehicle it doesn't make sense for you right now so what would make sense right now just right now no investing unless there's a match you literally are underwater by a hundred dollars for minimal survival needs and what do you call minimal survival needs what it takes for you to survive on a monthly basis minimum monthly payments what about living you just i mean just now you're talking about living okay so i know i'm trying to get you to live the bare minimum you don't you can't afford that you're thinking of more good luck buddy this conversation's done good luck if you're talking about having fun on top of this no you have 150 000 coming not having fun but still just being a human not just being a recluse like you can go to parks you can join different clubs and hobbies and things that don't cost money even if they do we keep them micro but even that you can't even afford because you're literally underwater by 100 just your basic so i gotta take all these experiences and and chop them up i'm done i'm done you're headed down this path forever and there's nothing i can do i've tried there's nothing else i can do you overspent spending your budget section zero out of ten debt it's about uh i don't like the family debt situation that's going to bring it down to one out of ten merchants if you don't have anything zero out of ten retirement for your age It's not a great position.
