I specifically have notes that you guys told the producers that Carrie rushed Trisha into getting married. That's weird as hell. Maybe a little bit. When we first started dating, you were like, I want this, this, and this by this time. Who wants a kid more? She wants a kid more. Who's getting pregnant? I would like to try. That's not a weird reaction. I thought maybe you would want to donate. Don't speak for both of us. 1:04Join the tens of thousands of people who've changed their lives and join DollarWise Central right now for free. Hi, my name is Trisha and I'm 22 years old. Hi, I'm Carrie. I'm 32 years old and we're from San Antonio. And this is Financial Audit. Thanks for coming up from San Antonio, guys. What do we do for a living? You're in front of me, Trisha. Let's start with you. What do you do? I'm actually an ultrasound tech. I work for a mobile company, so we kind of travel around a lot. Okay, what are you making? 24 an hour. Cool. How many hours a week? Like six, maybe 50 hours. So it's on right? Yeah, just gone a lot.
1:40Okay, because she seemed questioning. Well, it really depends because we travel a lot, so there's a lot of drive time involved. Have you paid for that? Yeah, it's only$10 an hour. So what's hitting your account on a monthly basis? Monthly basis, probably about$4 ,000. Okay, not bad. Not bad at all. And I assume this is a dual household income. We're a couple. Yes. Are we married? Yes. Okay. Newly married. 32, 22. When did you guys get married? Last month on the 14th. Yeah. Twitter won't like that age gap. No, not. Okay. We live in the real world, so I don't give a fuck. Yeah. And what do you do for a living?
2:16I'm a sous chef. Cool. Yeah. Did you bring us any food? No. Because I am fat and I like food. No, this is my day off, so I left it at work. All right. That's a little racist of you. What do you make? 50 a year. What does that break down to when it comes to hitting your account on a monthly basis? Monthly, it's about$31.50. Okay, cool. So in San Antonio, cheapest major city in all of Texas. If we're adding that at$4,$5,$6,$7,$7,$100 a month, certainly not bad. How are we doing? I mean, obviously you guys are on this show, but how are we doing? We're surviving. Uh, we're getting, we're getting there.
3:00Yeah. Are we actually doing either of those things? So we have five dogs. What's the importance of that in this conversation? Well, I feel like that really revolves around our life and how we live. Because a lot of the times, like if we need to go somewhere or if something like that happens, we have to find some type of care. I'm confused. Why does that matter? I'm not telling you to go on vacation. Well, just like living, we have to be home by a certain time to make sure that the dogs are fed. Good, you guys make good income. Well, yeah, but as far as like living. It's probably your spending that you got into debt.
3:33What's the living weird situation? Okay, I don't see a mortgage in here, but I do see$133 ,734.81 of debt. What the f***? You didn't know this. Oh, I knew it was a lot, but I didn't know that number. You didn't know. What did you think the debt was? Well, I didn't know the exact number. I knew that we were spending debt. Who's bringing the majority of this? Yeah, that's probably me. So we just got married a month ago. How long have you guys been seeing each other? Because lesbians tend to move a little quick. Yeah, fast and furious. Go ahead. We weren't that fast. We were together for two and a half years.
4:12That's actually pretty substantial. Yeah, for us. How did you guys meet? We actually worked together. We worked at the same restaurant. I ended up going to a different restaurant, but I was management and she was bartending. Okay. Why did you feel like you immediately had to preemptively defend that? I know there's a lot of stuff on the internet about power dynamics and taking advantage. Yeah, but they don't know what the f*** they're talking about. Yeah, yes, you're right. That's why no one listens to them. It's like 1 % of the internet. That's just very loud. That's fair. I just wanted to get ahead of that before it came and bit anybody in the end.
4:48So what are we doing? What are we talking about? I think our ultimate goal here is just to get out of the debt that we're in and start working towards having a family. Kids? Yeah, kids. How are we doing that? The ultimate way to do that is IVF. It's IVF. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I mean, we've talked about it, but there hasn't been like a set plan. So who's getting pregnant? I would like to try first off because I'm older in age and I would love to carry one of our children. That's not a weird reaction. There's like a big, I wouldn't say issue, but like I feel like between the two of us, it would make more sense for me to do it.
5:26But she definitely, I'm younger. I have both working. So biologically? Yeah. Yeah. Biologically, physically. I wouldn't say mentally and emotionally because she definitely has that more than I do. But it just, my body would. Is this a disagreement in the marriage? No, not a disagreement. I just, I want her to try. Yeah, I understand that biologically it would be more difficult. But that's why I want to get out of debt quicker so I can try before I'm 75 years old. Have you spoken? Do you know you can? No, we don't know. We haven't looked that far into it because all of that takes money and we obviously don't know how to spend ours correctly.
6:04Okay, because it's less of an age thing, but just sometimes health-wise. Right. It can be a lot harder. Yeah, which I mean, I think once we start working towards it and we know that it's like within hand's reach, I think we'll start making the steps to go forward with that and get ourselves physically checked out. But right now we're just not in that standpoint. So you've wanted a kid for a while, maybe? 32? Yeah. I mean, I've wanted to be a mom. When we decided we wanted to get a kid. I think we kind of just naturally, whenever we first started dating, kind of brought it up, talked about it a little bit.
6:39But now that we're actually married, it's like we just feel like that's the normal, like natural next step is to start a family. Yeah, her, since she's 10 years older than me, like, she made it a point, like, I'm ready to settle down and I'm ready to get it. Are we nervous about the 50 % divorce rate for lesbian couples? It is the highest in the country. And I have had, for some reason, gay dudes don't want to come on the show. I don't know why. But, you know, gay women, okay. Seems to be a common occurrence on financial audit. Sure, why not? Most I've had have all had previous marriages. Yeah, that's funny you say.
7:18So which one? I would assume you. No, you would assume wrong. I was engaged prior to this, but not married. But you were engaged. I was, yes. Does that mean you were married? Yeah, I was. I started dating this dude my senior year of high school. He had already signed a contract to join the military. Yeah, whatever. Whatever. Okay, cool. I'm a ransom, repeat. Anyways, so of course I fell into that trap. My parents were like, nah, if that's what you want to do, you can do it, but you're going to do it by yourself. So he went through his training, AIT, and got stationed in Texas. So that's why I ended up here.
7:51And it didn't really work out. It kind of sucked. So you got married at 18? I got married at 19. You were married for a year? Yeah. Even? I don't think I was married for a full year. It wasn't a full year you got a divorce. I think so. How did you decide to leave? I met. Are you serious you guys kicked it off while you were married? Oh, it started out platonically. It started out platonically. It really did. It really didn't turn into something until I was like, okay, I think I'm ready to leave. Yeah, but you were ready to leave and then you were immediately kicking into this, meaning that we were there.
8:25Yeah. Mentally. Yeah. But I was also— Every single f***ing time. I was mentally ready to leave for a while, though. You were married for less than a year. What's a while? Well, it doesn't take much to learn from how that guy was because he didn't want to combine finances. He didn't want to do anything together. He never wanted to make it better. Well, of course, there was a fake face put on before I realized that he was kind of a shitty person, especially going into the military. Date more than six months before getting married. Yeah. Of course, I was. But I was also pressured into being married because of the financial aspect that comes from being married.
9:03Into this relationship or the other one? The previous relationship. Okay. Because they get the allowance and stuff. Did we feel pressured on either side to get married in this relationship? No. No. Okay. I mean, that's why we dated for a full two years before deciding to get married. So what's our disagreement? What's our thoughts on money? Because there's always something here with the couple. You guys are here. Obviously, the finances are fucked. We just read off the number. We're bringing into the marriage. Bad debt on both sides. what are these conversations around money that you guys are having?
9:38Do you want to tackle that one? Just recently, I actually started watching you maybe a month ago. So I feel like I've been trying to get my head on straight. And especially, you know, being a little older, I just want to get her on the same page as me. And I feel like we're just... What are the conversations, though, that you guys are having? I think the conversations include her saying, hey, we should get our finances taken care of. And I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, and then I just keep doing exactly what I was doing before. If you're able to acknowledge this, why? Probably because I don't think I was financially ready to be there.
10:14I think I was stuck in the same headspace as her. Then why are we married? Because finances are one of the leading causes for divorce. You're already in the highest divorce category. So why do we seal the knot, tie the knot, if we're not on the same page for one of the most important things? Because I think it was mainly because I wanted to achieve what she wanted. So I think I wanted to get there quicker, but I needed to be on the same page as her to get there, if that makes sense. So I'm trying to go, go, go and get where she wants to be, but I'm also stuck in my old habits. And I think that's sealing the knot.
10:50What are you doing to change it? Are you changing? Because you could put in some effort and change. I could. Yeah, I completely agree. So what are we doing then? What are we doing? Spending like we have money to spend whenever we don't. So you too. I feel like it's more from her because I am trying to get my shit together, but it's kind of difficult. But you can't. It's just one half. Yeah. Whenever I get home and there's Amazon packages sitting on the front door and stuff. So it's a little kind of like out of left field just coming home and seeing more stuff we don't need whenever she says, yeah, we'll fix it.
11:24We'll fix it. Did you guys not discuss? Not purchases. Why? But that's everything. I think it was a lot harder because our finances were separated. So I can't hold myself accountable. I just don't have—I can't. What is I can't? There's been attempts? What have they looked like? I mean, I really haven't attempted. I just haven't even tried to do it, I guess. But holding myself accountable is really difficult with my own bank account. So I know that if maybe I had the same, if I had a second person on there, it would hold me more accountable because I knew that it wouldn't be just my money. It would be our money.
12:04Okay. So in the conversation around money, you earn a little more, you earn a little less. But again, we are not making bad income for the household. What is the relationship with deciding where money goes specifically? I know we don't talk about purchases specifically, but where's the conversation about what we're doing, what goals we have, what actions we have to put in together to do it? I think we're so... I have notes that, even though I don't really care because you guys are adults, I don't give a f*** that you're 10 years apart. Some of my grandparents, I don't care. But it's like we have notes that you told the producer that you struggle with the age gap.
12:40Because I've had how many years ahead of her that I am like, we are fixing this now. You're two years older than me. Do not make me feel old. What the f*** are you doing? But also, like, I kind of feel like a little bit, that kind of made me a little mad because, like, you're 10 years older than me, but we're still in the same boat. Like, we both still have credit card debt and a car loan and student loans and all this other stuff. And I'm just like, you might be 10 years older than me, but we're also still in the same boat, you know? I feel like right now in this period of time, I want to get it together right now.
13:16And I feel like maybe she thinks, well, you have 10 years on me, so I still have time to figure it out to get to how old you are to figure it out. Even like I'm just trying to push it as much as I can right now. So she doesn't end up 32 and 100 and however much money you said we are in debt. But why did you specifically bring up then that we struggle with the age gap? Because you brought this up in the pre-conversation. I don't know. I think that I don't I wouldn't say it's much of a struggle. I think it's just, I don't even want to call it a setback because it's not a setback. It's just, I just feel like I need to play catch up with her because we are, like we're always going to be 10 years apart.
13:59But I feel like I'm constantly having to play catch up just to get like where she wants me to be, if that makes sense. I don't want you to play catch up. I want you to be ahead of me. I want to catch up to you because I'm so far behind. I want you to do better so I can be better with you and for you. Well, I think because instead of me succeeding you, why can't we just meet in the middle and then start succeeding together? I want to get there eventually, but since there is the gap, you should be better than me because I know I have to play catch up to be even somewhat stable. Why is it you calling out her for needing to better?
14:38Is that her needing to get better so you can get better? That's the weird part to me. That seems like some weird kind of bullsh** deflection in my opinion. Yeah, a little bit. I don't mean it to come off as deflection. I just mean if she is starting to do right at 22, that I have to catch up to get even because— What is this competition thing? I'm so confused. No, I don't think it's a competition. It's just I want the best— Like we're married. We're together. Right. So we're doing this as a pair to get up. Then you're also kind of acting like you're better, honestly. Yeah. Oh, cool. I don't think I'm better because I'm just as— No, that you have your s*** together a bit more.
15:23Barely. Not like a better person. Oh, man. Take a look at those statements, and we'll figure out if I have my s*** together. Not even close. Not even close. Just through your languages. Okay. Just through your language. Okay. No, I mean, I just—I know this is a partnership, but I want her to do better than me. so she's not I'm so confused though. Aren't we doing everything together? Isn't that the point? Right, right. But I don't want her to be 30. I don't want her I don't want us both to be 10 years from now and still in this. I want her to be at my age and we're not even close to this. Okay.
15:58I mean I can vibe with that. And if we're trying to have kids in IVF that's definitely not cheap as well I know there's some international options but even still how many kids are we trying to have? She wants 72. Okay, that's a lot. I want like three. Yeah, three. Okay, I guess we are on the same page. Are we swift swapping each time? Like boom, boom, boom. I don't think so. No, I would love to have a large family, but I— Well, how are we divvying it out? Who's— I want her to give it a try the first time. And if it succeeds, then hell yeah, we'll go for another one. But the second one, I don't want to put her body at stress.
16:36I don't want to do anything more than what it needs to be. in this second one. You're like 300 ,000 hours in kids for IVF alone. That's ridiculous. It's like crazy. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it's a lot. How are we, but we're over 100 ,000 hours in bad debt. Yeah. And we're not. Wayfair's big sale is returning. Get ready for Wayday. We kind of have that goal of like, okay, this is where we want to get. We want to get to IVF, right? But like how to get there, it's like you don't seem you're ready to compromise on your lifestyle. But you want her to be better off than you are at your age when she's that age. And I get that. How do we get to these goals, though, if we're not kind of aligned? Like you want to push her to do better, but you're not really changing anything. I don't think that it's not that I'm willing to compromise.
17:49So I graduated a year ago. OK, it took me four months to get a job. And even then it's one. Well, I don't want to say one in case somebody sees this. It's not bad. It's just I can definitely succeed further and further. but my job that I'm in and the career field that I'm in I have to have Job doesn't matter though Income doesn't matter People can be the highest income earning people in the world and be financially fucked It depends where your money goes You're talking about your behavior at the beginning When I first got this job I was obviously in student debt I had six months to start paying it or I had a six month leniency period and I was just figuring out how to actually live off of a decent income because before that I was just bartending and it was like paid daily and now here I am trying to figure out how to survive off of a two week like pay period if that makes sense.
18:40So switching from that to so like instead. So you guys do not budget to be very clear. I mean that's the immediate solve to that. If we're trying to get better why have we not put in any of the actions that we know historically across the board works for people. That's like step number one. Yeah. Learn where our money goes. Yeah. Well we know that our bills are paid. Yeah, honestly, when most people say that, though, I go through and it's typically not. Yeah, the bills aren't paid, yeah. I mean, they are paid. I'm sorry. Ours are paid. Yeah, ours are paid. There shouldn't be late fees either. They're actually paid all the time.
19:12We'll see. I don't know. I feel like people never know. Don't speak for both of us. I don't know. Well, are our finances separate? Because you were separate from your ex-husband, 22. Not anymore. As of a couple weeks ago, we started putting both of our paychecks into one account. Okay, but where's it going with all the extra credit cards and stuff? Do we have access to it? Are we authorized users? Do we review statements together? What are we doing? Because that's where a lot of spending and stuff is too. That's where payments have to be made. Guys, we know what comes in, right? We know what comes in.
19:437 ,100, what was spent last month across both people? We're combined, so we should know. It's great, we're combined. No, last month we weren't combined. Well, we're combined, our statements. You can take a look back. We should know. We should be able to, if we've been combined these last two weeks, let's see what we spent the last two weeks and just double that. That's probably pretty similar. So let's see What did we spend last month? What do you think? Both combined Including on debt Probably about$100 less than we made Okay What? So it'd be about$7 ,000 Yeah, I would say probably about that And you?
20:16No, I would say probably like Wait, last month? Oh no, I would say closer to nine Why? Because we had a baby shower And I spent a butt ton of money Not for your guys' No, not our baby shower A friend's baby shower Wait, he spent$2 ,000 on that? No, I'm not saying that I'm just saying when I had my personal checking account I was spending significantly more than what I'm spending In the last two weeks since we joined together And you're just not aware of this? I feel like I'm going to care But I'm at the point where she's an adult And she's going to swipe her card regardless No, she's your wife and you guys are in this as a partnership And she thinks she spent$2 ,000 more in the month than you think you guys did.
21:02She swipes her card. That's what she does. Yeah, she sees something shiny, she swipes the card. So fresh into a marriage and we don't communicate. Solid. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So how much did we spend? $9 ,257.97. I was close. I was close. Yeah, you win. You're fucked. Yeah. Okay. Okay. $9 ,200, you said? $257? That's ridiculous. 97 cents. How? I got two bonuses last month. Yeah, didn't make up for it. It still should be on the, coming in. It pushed you to 8 ,000 as a household. Bonuses pushed you to 8 ,000 from 7 ,100.
21:48Still have spent 1 ,000 of it. But half of that was Lauren. If we're not communicating about finances, when bills come due, when things are forced to be taken out, how do we communicate on where money goes? Let's talk about student loans. I know it's something we all avoid talking about, but if your private student loans are crushing you, Y-Refi might be exactly what you need. They don't rely on your credit score alone. 23:09That is Y-R-E-F-Y dot com slash hammer. Or call 888-973-3978. That is 888-973-3978. Nate, break free from the high interest trap and get your finances under control once and for all. I don't really think we talk too much about it besides the bills coming up and we got to pay it. You know, and I just started this new job like a month ago. So for a better part of the last like three or four months, she's been covering a lot of the bills because my job before this was terrible. What are you making? So you've been the breadwinner. But for a while there, whenever we were living together the first year, I was still in school.
23:49So it was very limited on what hours I could work. So there's been— So how are we dealing with—why aren't you going out and killing, making more money? The job—the job— So you get a job. I did. I looked for a job the entire time I was— You pick up a second job. I know the dog's got to get home, but we already have one person. I did. Not if I'm working and going to school. I'm going to school for clinicals from 7.30 in the morning to 4 p.m. That's where we pick up bullshit. And I'm working. $12 an hour remote. Calls kind of crap. That's so hard. How am I supposed to take a call at the same time?
24:22I don't give a f***. You're paying bills. And I was talking about her. Oh, okay. Sorry. Yeah, I was working for the Spurs. I can say that. I was working for the Spurs and I only worked whenever they had games or concerts. And it was just so few. So we definitely get a different job. That's not even a question. Yeah. I did look. I put in probably about 300 applications during the two months I was there. How did you feel that the person that was maybe at that time 21 while you were like 31 was taking care of all your bills? Oh, I feel like... Not all the bills. It still made me feel like... I don't want to rely on her to just live, but, I mean, that's where we were in life, so that's what happened.
25:02Now, I asked you guys earlier about feeling pressure to be married and stuff like that, but I specifically have notes that you guys told the producers that Carrie Rush Trisha into getting married? When we first started dating, you were like, I want this, this, and this by this time. And I was like, oh, I got to put it together. I got to put it together. So you're telling people I'm rushing you because I had a timeline from my life? No. That's rude as well. Maybe a little bit. I don't know. I wouldn't say that I felt rushed, but I'm just saying, like, did feel like it was in times two speed. I'm going to go three, two, one, go.

You write it down, so I'm going to write it down. You wrote O-S. Yeah, no, that's a five. I put my hammer score, and then I'm going to put her hammer score, and then I just want to take some notes. Okie dokes. Okay. Okay, Jewelers. Yep, that's me. Wedding. Ring? Yeah, ring. It's pretty, right? Custom. I picked it out. Okay. I don't get it. I've never understood it. They all look identical to me. We didn't spend any money on an actual wedding, so we spent money on our rings.
26:52Okay. Well, I guess at least you can resell that on like... I would never resell that. Of course, unless it blows up in a horrendous divorce in about six months. No. Six months. I don't think that would happen. She's going off of averages. Okay. So, KJers, we got a balance of... This doesn't make any f***ing sense. We have a balance of$5 ,172.91. Oh, my f***. Do you even know what happened on here? Yes, I know what happened. Why'd you allow this? I didn't have the income to pay it off. Then why would you f***ing do it? Because... Ring pop. Like, you get it when you can get it. Listen, is this all stacked up to third interest and it just hit?
27:34Yeah. That's f***ing insane. It was a$3 ,724.69 balance, making our minimum repayments. Then deferred interest of$1 ,590.22 hit all at once, which pushed the balance to$5 ,172.91. Right. I didn't know. Over the credit limit of$4 ,200. You did not know. I didn't know that it was deferred interest and that it already hit. She told me it was on zero interest, but I didn't know if it was deferred or when it went. What the fuck? Why would she not know? Oh my gosh. Yes, there was no interest temporarily. I guess that's what I had told her, but I knew that there was going to be an interest coming up in 18 months.
28:16I think it was 18 months. Yeah. How long does this take to pay off? Just making minimum payments. No purchasing, which you can't because it's, you know. Gone, yeah. 15 years? 16. Oh, that was pretty close. It would be 16. Yeah. Guess what? She'll be out of IVF zone by then. Yeah. You'll be approaching. Hey. Yeah, I mean, you're not wrong. Yeah, that's. Yeah. Welcome to math. So what's more important, ring or having the kids? Because obviously we chose ring and not actually paying it off. I would like for the kids to be more important, but. Well, the interest is already hit. How do we get the money for your ring?
29:02Because you spent all that on her ring. How do we afford this ring? I bought that ring. Okay. With money. Money that I had saved. Well, what the fuck is it all? So instead of actually putting it towards the future, we got it towards the ring. Well, I mean, she needs a ring. Also, why do I note that your mom gave you money for a ring? I know your guys' reality. I don't know why you try to lie. I had two-thirds of it saved, so she gave me$1 ,000, and I bought the ring. How much were you guys' rings? Hers was like$3 ,300. I don't know how much hers was. Whatever the first purchase was. Was this all the ring?
29:42Yeah. Well, that was also, we got our wedding bands on that too. Yeah. So there's been three purchases. Well, technically two, but three items purchased on the card. $194 minimum monthly payment. Yeah, it just went up. Yeah, because you weren't responsible. Yeah.
30:00Are we ever going to be able to get anywhere If we're not responsible together Like we're both irresponsible And it's like you wouldn't communicate about it And it's just like And then you just let it go Like I don't know what to do What are we going to get? I think once we hold each other accountable A little bit more With the joint account That's it? Yeah I mean that's all of my income going there Okay tell me how we're holding each other accountable I know that if I spend something on that money or on that card, she's going to look and she's going to see it. She's going to be like, what the fuck?
30:31She's going to look. She'll just see. She says, what the fuck? No, I say, what the fuck? No. That's it. That's how these conversations go. That's our groundbreaking solution. Okay. She does not actually say what the fuck. She's actually a lot nicer than that. But we're not sitting down. We're not planning. We're not going through on a monthly basis. We're not laying down everything, seeing where money went, discussing that, talking about what we need to adjust for the next month in order to get to our goal. Here's our goal. What does it take to get to the goal of these steps? How do we get to these steps?
30:55Not as up to this point. Okay. So obviously that, I mean, that's not a method that's going to work. It's like, hey, you just got an Amazon? And it's just like, okay. And then that conversation's done. Right. I guess. Yeah. Yeah. Cause I just see, I see it and I see that money came out and I'm, there's an Amazon package and I'm like, what, what is this? And then she tells me what it is and there's, I, it's hard to push back. I just, I want her to be happy. So I don't, I'm not like, Hey, stop doing that. Because you're not wanting to do it out of fear and you're not wanting to push back out of her not being happy.
31:27So what the f***? This doesn't sound like a method that works in my opinion. And also just like the fear base. Like it's like the negative reinforcement that you'd be experiencing. That's not actually going to change your behavior. It's like you have dogs. It's like having their whole training be fear based. That's not going to work. You want to change behavior. You want to change behavior. Well, I guess I never really was like shown how to budget. None of us were. Oh my God. Let's f***ing go. I don't. It was hard for me because it's hard for everyone. I guess. Yes. Were you taught how to budget? No. No one was. I wasn't. These bulls weren't. And at what age did you figure it out? Just curious. Just about your age. 22? 22. I started to get into it. Okay. Cool. So I'm right on track then. If you actually turn it around because most people don't is the thing. That's the issue. Because I'm old and I don't have a mind together.
33:30Yeah, but I didn't know about Caleb Hammer whenever. I mean, sorry. It didn't exist. I didn't know about Caleb Hammer. You did exist. You did exist. You're all the same age. Sorry, you're not. The channel didn't exist. The channel didn't exist. Mm-hmm. Yeah. But, I mean, I'm sure there was someone similar at her, if she was my age. Dave Ramsey, I guess. Yeah. Yeah, but he just talks to people who have millions of dollars. So, what's the... I see his clips on YouTube all the time. Oh, you have 5.5 million dollars. That's a specific segment, I think. My parents watched Dave Ramsey. Not that I want to be like my parents, but like.
34:06As long as your parents. They suck. They're not very supportive of us. That's kind of why. Flap on flap? Yeah, flap on flap. Why are you gay? Yeah, she got divorced and they're Bible thumpers. So she got divorced. So that was automatically strike one. And now I'm a girl. So that's like strike eight. Yeah, my parents are like super biblical. They're homesteaders. They live off their land. My siblings are homeschooled. We don't want to be like them anyway because that's nasty. I mean, I want to be financially successful like them, but I don't want to be anything like them. What anyone does is get your money in shape.
34:36Right. Okay. I don't care who anyone is. Get together. That's my philosophy. Okay. Okay. All right. Well, this is horrendous, and it's at a 31.24 % interest rate of death. Not the worst one. It's crazy. Okay. Home Depot, what's this? Is this attached? I'm sorry. Is this attached to cage rulers here? This one? The Home Depot card I opened whenever we moved in together and I bought a washer and dryer for us. Listen, I'm not advocating for renting over purchasing over the long term, but the thing is that my first year down here, my first two years down here when I was trying to pay off debt, it made more sense than blowing a few hundred bucks on use or a few thousand on new.
35:29I just rented a washer and dryer. And it made sense and those services are everywhere. where I know they exist in San Antonio. Yeah, but that'll last us forever. Yes, but you didn't have the money to get this, and now it's on a card that is accruing$33 to 21 cents in interest. You're paying fees. When we first moved in. You're paying an interest on this, what I paid in monthly rent just for my units. In America, half of every dollar spent on brand medicines goes to entities who don't make them. While middlemen like PBMs and 340B hospitals drive up costs, Biopharma is investing$500 billion in new infrastructure and manufacturing here at home and helping patients buy medicines directly at lower prices.
36:10Tell Washington to end middlemen markups and put American patients first. Visit phrma.org slash middlemen. Didn't have to pay back$1 ,505. But you had to give it back after you were done, right? Yeah, but that's ours. I mean, we don't. And then you can sell yours for probably like$400 because no one wants your nasty ass used washing machine. Yeah, so I don't want someone else's nasty ass used washing machine either. So I got a new one. But I didn't say get used. I said maybe we rent. Yeah, but aren't there rented ones too? Yeah, but they probably clean it a bit better. Yeah, but we got it. Maybe.
36:46I don't know. I use it. I'm okay. I don't have AIDS. I mean, I guess that's true, but we don't have AIDS either because we got a new washer and dryer. Yeah, we got a new one. Also that one has a lot of plant stuff on it too The Home Depot card I need a hobby right? Sure not one where you're spending Endless amount of money that we can't pay off Or budget into a checking account I mean just You can get hobbies that don't require all that $1 ,505.63 On a$1 ,700 limit Yeah, I mean, they're telling me you spent at least 400 to 500 hours on your little plant collections. It's pretty cute. I'm sure it's cute, and so is all the interest rate, and so is not having a kid because you guys aren't even close.
37:35Yeah. Real cute. Who wants a kid more? Are we equally in this? I would say that she wants a kid more, but I'm pretty close to being equal with her. Pretty close to being cool? Oh, you're not there. No, equal. Pretty close to being equally excited. Okay. I think I'm just more ready because I know that I would like to carry our first child. So I feel like I'm more so ready because I know that the window is closing. Not meant to be an insulting thing, just a biological thing. But aren't you going to have to lose a decent amount of weight? Yeah, probably. Okay. You've got to start that today, though.
38:11Okay. What have you lost over how long? The last like six months, I've lost like 30 pounds. Okay. That's good. I'm getting there. Very good. Trying my best. Okay. Keep going. You're not doing it in a healthy way Anyways can we go on with the card? What? She doesn't eat She eats like maybe once a day You'll bounce back I've done that I've yo-yoed You'll bounce back Okay Just working in restaurants all the time Unsustainable Yeah Like you will bounce back You will fall into old habits That's what's happening Like I've lost 40, gained 40, lost 40, gained 40 It just happens And I did like the starvation diet too Does not work I'm not purposely starving myself I just since I work in a restaurant I'm around food all day Just the thought of eating it makes me nauseous Okay We've had a late fee on this car this year Guys This year See What did you say at the beginning What the fuck did you say at the beginning Yeah they said that there was no late fees Yeah I told you this always happens I didn't take a count of late fees This happens every fucking time This happens every fucking time I can't believe anyone that is on this show unfortunately anymore But basically anything at this point.
39:21Every f***ing time. I didn't know that that was a late fee. No, s***. That's why you said it. Or you were lying, but this is better. I'd rather have ignorance. $136.53 of interest accrued this year so far. Oh, I thought that was a late fee. Huh? No, it was$40. I thought you were telling us a late fee. Okay. So what the f***? Why do you think that happened? I don't know. I don't like putting it on auto pay. There's just something about it that just makes me nervous, so I just go in and do it myself. so I guess I overlooked it. Okay. All right.
39:58Everything's on auto pay now? Nothing's on auto pay. Why is nothing on auto pay now? After clear, well, you didn't know this was happening until right now. Why are things not on auto pay? What's the philosophy? I don't know. Something about it just makes me anxious, so I just don't do it. What, do you guys have not enough money in the checking account ever? Sometimes. Why? You guys make money. I don't know how to budget. That's not just about budget. Even if you're not budgeting, you know not to go swipe with the bull. I mean, I've gotten a lot better at that, but I'm not going to lie. Just like everyone says they never have a late payment, and then I find a late payment, everyone says, I've gotten better.
40:35And they're not. I just saw$2 ,000 spend more than it came in last month. Yeah. $3 ,000 more than normal. So I don't give a f***. That's not true. Bull s*** spending is basically$900. Holy shit. I'm sorry. That's not spending. That's just going out to eat. What? Good God. Oh, see? Extra miscellaneous bullshit. Basically 500 bucks. Okay, but the$500 was her baby shower. Other large purchases, 1 ,400. Large purchases? As in what? Large purchases. Let's see. Large doesn't mean miscellaneous, but it's just kind of uncategorized. Unknown withdraw, 1 ,350. Oh, that's bills. Okay, and then TurboTax, 84 bucks, uncategorized.
41:22Miscellaneous bullshit, that's like American Eagle, overdraft protection. That's my fault. Did you know this? No. Overdraft protection? So you're overdrafting on your checking account? Yes, I did know that one. Why? But it's because of the stupid pest control company that I agreed on and I accidentally signed. I didn't accidentally, I just didn't know about it. They knocked on my door and they were like, hey, we can do this for this. And I was like, okay, sure, yeah, we have bugs. Let's do it. And it ended up being a year and a half contract. You actually got sold by a fucking knock on the door pest control person.
41:58Yeah. I never almost shot people with paintball guns more than those people. If Carrie was home, she would have said no, but I was by myself. Fuck, maybe we shouldn't allow age gaps. You have the mind of a 16-year-old. Not, maybe in finances. How are you kidding? Huh? Maybe in finances. Maybe in finances I have a 16 year old mind Yeah she's signed a year long contract So it takes money every month And you overdraft because of it? I forgot about it A courtesy pay fee What's that? Well we will see Old Navy, TikTok Shop, Academy, Sports, Pop Shelf Miscellaneous spending, Quizlet and Apple stuff Did you buy Miscellaneous bullshit 250 So we're talking just bullsh** guaranteed Did you buy Quizlet?
42:39Yeah I bought it Guaranteed bullsh** 1 ,200 Oh damn And there's probably a lot more But I think, I feel like... Oh, and then subscriptions. We have ID Protect, Netflix, Spotify, Disney +, Acorns.
42:56That doesn't seem like a lot of subscriptions. Of? Your phone. Yeah. What do you want me to pull up? I want you to open it. Okay. Okay. See? She's more brave. Yeah, I don't care. Nothing on there. You have Second Try, which removes monthly. I don't know what that is. What is that? The Try Guys. It's a YouTube. Oh, but our membership is so much better. I guarantee you our content is higher quality and more content as well. Okay. Mostly because YouTube told us that themselves. HSP Premium. Yeah, Heart Starts Pounding. Those are podcasts. Oh, for f***'s sake. Again, wrong one. And then iCloud Plus.
43:35Oh, No Media. Oh, that's a good one. No, you can't make that face because their s*** is good. Yeah, their content's good. They have three separate podcasts. It's all about like murders and stuff. Yeah. Good stuff. Thrilling. Planta? Yeah, I don't pay for that one anymore. Okay. I needed it for my plants, for my hobby. If I go through your guys' text message conversations in the post show, are there going to be lesbian fights? No. No. We actually don't fight that much. And if we do, we just like sit down and speak like normal adults. Yeah. We'll see. Okay. A lot of it is probably just me complaining about my job And you have Chardney's family party game Huh?
44:20Charades? Charades? Oh my Are you okay? Was that a stroke? You just had a stroke? That's what that was, yeah? Was that a stroke? Charades? Oh my gosh I am a I am not proud of that one. I don't pay for that. It says we're... I stopped paying for that, by the way. I'm not known for being able to read well. Oh, my God. That was funny. Wait, so was that the only thing on there for me? Yeah. Charades? Yeah. Okay. Charades. Okay, discover it. What's that? Mine. okay what's going on with this it's bad it's purchasing on a card that is accruing interest that is over the credit limit did you know that yeah uh yeah it's over the credit limit we i just found out like a couple nights ago that she was still charging stuff tell me how'd that conversation go why why did it even happen because you're coming on the show and it's about to be exposed yeah that's exactly what it was we were coming on the show about to be exposed and i said do you even spend on your credit cards?
45:30And she said, I looked at that one. Oh, I thought I said no. I honestly thought that because it was maxed out, I didn't have room to spend any money on it. Well, you put a little payment that brought it slightly under the new spent and then interest hit and now you're over. She's$125.93 over the credit limit. $146 minimum payment. Again,$190 of purchases while$125.99 of interest is accruing. Why the f***? Regardless of maxed out or not, why are we purchasing on a card that we cannot pay off and that interest is accruing? Question is all the time here. Because I didn't have the money in my checking account.
46:08Then why are we spending it? Because I'm not good at meal prepping. That's a large majority of what that is. Well, you have a significant other as well who, by the way, you know, does cooking things. Right. But as soon as she gets home from work, she's tired from cooking at work, so she doesn't want to cook at home. Well, stop being lazy. Let me guess. You're just using an investing app that doesn't invest in you. It is time to change that. Right now, Webull is offering up to a 3.5 % match when you open an IRA with them. That is real money going into your retirement, not just points or coupons.
46:40And that's just the start. Depends at$100 and you get 30 days of Webull premium. Anywhere from$2 ,000 to$10 ,000 sitting around in your account, move it to Webull and get$200 in cash. And if you worked your way up to$5 million, that's$30 ,000 in your account just for moving it over. It is not just about the perks, though. 47:21It doesn't get better than this, so stop overpaying for a platform that gives you nothing back and make the switch to Weeble. Go to weeble.com slash K slash Caleb or hit the QR code or the link below. Let's get back to the show. I don't think it's lazy. I get my ass beat. It sounded like lazy. Yeah, I love it. I get my ass beat at work every day. Yeah, I also get my ass beat at work every day. It's not the same concept, but it is similar to a similar beating. I just don't want to cook whenever I've been cooking all day. Yeah, but we have to because we don't have money. We just saw that, what was it, 800 hours going out to eat in a month?
47:52Or 900? I don't remember. Which is honestly like a real eye-opener because we, I know that we don't really have a budget, but we kind of eyeballed it and we thought about doing. Oh, your credit's 543. No. Not. You said this is your discovery. My credit is not 543. It says this is your FICO score. There's a copy of my credit report. It's bad. Is it worse? It's not 543. It's worse. It's lower than 543? It's bad. Oh my God. What is it? But it's because. What is it? 474. It's because my student loans hit. We're going to get a house together? Maybe. One day. If we want to get a kid, sometimes we want to get a house with it.
48:33That's classic America. Yeah. Not with that. I know. I know it's bad. Not with this debt to income for either of you. Agreed. But it's my student loans hit my account. None of these are necessary purchases. No. Nope. So this wasn't because I didn't have enough money in my account. There's the American Eagles, Subway, Nora's Snacks, Dunkin' Donuts or Baskin Robbins, Nora's Snacks, Starbucks, the liquor store, McDonald's, going in and getting some bullshit, going in and getting some BS, Starbucks, McDonald's, McDonald's. Oh, late fee this year. This year? Oh, my. Guys. Guys, what is wrong with you?
49:10You have a reasonable aura surrounding you when you talk in this conversation. But then you don't know f***ing anything. I think we're just... I'm ignorant to a lot of her spending, and I'm assuming she's ignorant to a lot of my spending. But give us a little bit of grace, because we are freshly married, so we just combine our finances. That doesn't matter. You should have been making a f***ing minimum monthly payment. I mean, I agree. That has nothing to do with fresh marriage. Yeah, but of course we're ignorant to each other's finances because we didn't... No, you're ignorant to your own. Oh, well, that's...
49:50I never said I didn't have a late fee, though. I never said that. But still, you didn't know you had this. Oh, yeah, you're right. I mean, I get it. I didn't... I thought that I made all my payments on my credit card. You don't do auto pay, either. Credit card. No. Well, you don't have, like, the missed payment. You were late. Oh, well, that's not... Did I get a fee? Yes. Late is where it hits... Or missed payment is where it hits your credit. Oh, okay. That's why I didn't sit there for a bit. Gotcha. Glad we cleared that up. I didn't know that. I didn't know the difference. I thought late fees hit my credit karma as well, not just a mispayment.
50:25Also, credit karma is not perfect. No.
50:31So what are we doing? This is Norris Snacks and Dunkin' Donuts and all this shit. It's so much bullshit. I know. And it's while I'm on the road at work. I don't ever just leave my house to go to Norris. Pack a fucking sandwich. You guys are women. Oh, so we should be in the kitchen? Yeah, let's be a little sexist real quick. Oh, okay. Real cute. Okay. Okay. Yep. We should be in the kitchen. I don't always have a refrigerator or microwave access to me. Guys, we have a kitchen here if you guys want to touch it on your way out. Oh, cute. I was already in there. Thank you. Oh, classic. It's the first place to live.
51:05There's not always a microwave or a kitchen available to me, so it's hard to pack something. No, no, no. That's called a cooler. Yeah. She has a lunchbox. I do. I have an insulated lunchbox. Then it's not a very good one. Yeah, it's not a good one. Then get a better one. She just keeps buying lunchboxes. Actually? Yeah, I'm on like my third lunchbox. What are you doing? I feel like I just never have enough room. No, she just likes to spend money. So she sees a lunchbox that's cute, so she spends money on it. I actually bought one that included containers and a lunchbox for a cheaper price. And you equally use none of them?
51:40Yes, I do. Well, then what is all this then? I can't pack a coffee in a lunchbox. You can do it in a thermos. Yeah, but I like my stuff cold, not hot. Then make it cold in a thermos. What do you think a thermos does and maintains temperature, you dumb tit? The cold, I don't like watered down coffee. And the thermos always keeps it cold, yes, but the water from the ice. Then put a non-melting little ice pack in there. In my coffee? at capella university learning online doesn't mean learning alone you'll get support from people who care about your success like your enrollment specialist who gets to know you and the goals you'd like to achieve you'll also get a designated academic coach who's with you throughout your entire program plus career coaches are available to help you navigate your professional goals A different future is closer than you think.
52:33With Capella University. Learn more at capella.edu. A little thing, you know, it's like plastic frozen with water inside. It doesn't melt. The woman was too stunned to speak. I don't know what it's called, but we know what I'm talking about, right, guys? Like a reusable ice cube? Yeah, like that kind of. Or like a little bowl. The plastic bowl, some people put it in their whiskey when they don't want it to water it down. Oh my f***. I was unaware. I didn't know those existed. You're obsessed. with Amazon? Just look things up. I wouldn't say obsessed with Amazon. We really don't go crazy on Amazon.
53:06She brought that out of her butthole, but she didn't. It's not like we go crazy on Amazon. We don't spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars a month. So how long do you guys think you're going to stay married? Forever and ever. Forever? Yeah. 27.24 % interest rate on here. It's a little bit better than the case. Oh, that's your name. That to me. Huh? Then what? The case. The K-Jewelry card. The other card. It's 31%. Apple card. Who's this? Mine. What's going on?
53:40I opened that card originally like five or six years ago, and I bought an iPad. Yeah, I don't use it. No one uses their iPads except for... Yeah. But I opened it, and I had a line of credit, and my life kind of went sideways, so I maxed it out. A lesbian breakup? Yep, lesbian breakup. I moved out of the house, and she took all the furniture and everything, and I was stuck paying two months of rent somewhere I wasn't living. Then I couched her for six months. Excuse me. I've just kind of been in a hole that I have not tried to get out of. Not tried? I mean, monthly minimums, but I... Yeah, it's going to take 10 years.
54:26Yeah. Before I already, too. I haven't, like, sat down and been like, I'm getting out of this now until recently. Yeah, but then you guys haven't done anything. You still spend... You discussed, well, let's get out of this, and then you still spend more than you brought in. Yeah, I agree. We need to sit down and have a conversation, but... I thought you guys already did. I was just said. Yeah, we talked about getting out of it, but it's not like we set up a plan. We haven't set up a plan. What's the point of talking about getting out of it if we're not doing the action required? Well, it's hard whenever I see her like two times a week because we work opposite schedules.
54:58So it's hard to just sit down and play. You guys never see each other. This is the one day off I have a week. This is why you guys have lasted longer than most? Maybe. No, we like each other. I mean, we like each other, but like a lot of the times it is because we only see each other on an hour at a time. Yeah, like Wednesday nights and Sunday nights are the only time we really see each other. That's crazy. How the f*** are you going to maintain a healthy relationship, honestly? I like her. Like, not joking. I know, but how are we going to maintain a healthy relationship? You can like someone and it doesn't have to be healthy.
55:26I mean, I don't... Because if you see each other two hours a week, that's brutal. Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's tough, but it makes those moments more cherishable. Yeah, but it also makes it impossible for us to have hard conversations because you don't want to spend those limited hours to see together. Which I agree, but I feel like with our limited amount of seeing each other limits the amount of hard conversations that we have to have. But we need to have the hard conversation now with this. Like what? I mean, yeah, obviously this. Finances. What do you think? What show are you on? Dull. Okay. I just feel like the hard conversations are very limited because we don't see each other.
56:01Well, so you guys are barely married. But we also don't have the arguments over stuff like that. Because whenever we did sit down, obviously we didn't go into any kind of action plan. But whenever we did sit down to talk about this, it was a very pleasant conversation that it was just like, this is what's going on and we need to fix it. You know what's interesting? You're the butch mask one. Thank you. But you have a more feminine voice. You have a more masculine voice. I also have a scratchy throat because I have allergies. Not a cold. This isn't not a cold. I don't normally. I mean, I guess my voice is about the same.
56:36I have a very feminine voice. Yeah. Oh, that's, yeah. $48 minimum fee payment,$1 ,493.019 owed on here.
56:46No purchases that month. I honestly think I'd be a fantastic lesbian. I'll be completely honest. I agree. Honestly, you have a very masculine, like a feminine, but also masculine. She has a girlfriend. Yeah, he talked about it on the show. Do you yell at her like the illness? Yeah, whenever you yell at her, do you go, ah! I'm going to yell at her. I don't know Does she have good finances? Because you guys are dumb Is she dumb? Does she have good finances? Yeah I did think about it a bit It's not like we replicate this show In every instance In every aspect of life Your first date is this
57:31Okay I don't see interest accruing Caleb these papers are stressing me out. Can we straighten them? Just a little bit? No, I'm not. No, OCD maybe. If anything, she's got a little bit on the spectrum. She's agreed to it though. She's agreed to being on the spectrum? I mean, she agrees that she... I mean, it was her thought. She consented to being on the spectrum? I'm confused. Okay, anyways. Oh, Big Lots, great. Hey, they closed though. so huh big lots closed yeah probably not the bank servicing it though no but I'm just saying that I can't spend any more money on that card because it's not available to other stores no oh they closed the card they closed I mean technically yeah because it fell off my credit but obviously I still have money on it well it better be because you're over the credit limit yes the interest just hit on it too yeah but if you make your minimum monthly payment and you never miss a payment you wouldn't be above the credit limit that's not how that works mathematically wouldn't be above yeah I have.
58:35Have I missed a payment on there? Potentially. I see a fee this year, but it's not very long. But I can't see last year. Oh, we just got that. Yeah, at the end of last year. I bought a couch on it. Sick. Yeah. You owe$1 ,287.48. Minimum of the payment,$46. $34 minimum of the payment made. That's less than the minimum required. Maybe that's why. It just went up. The minimum went up? Yeah. Why would it go up? The interest just hit on it. Deferred. Oh, I see it. Oh, I didn't see it. Oh, that's why it's above. It's not because just random interest is accruing. It was deferred interest. This is the second time.
59:16Second time you've allowed a card to just have deferred interest hit. Why the f*** are we buying things and not doing the minimum monthly payment required to pay it off before the deferred interest hits? Because I'm okay with 0 % financing things, but you got to be strategic. Well, that one, it was the payments had to be higher than the monthly. Yes. That's how it works. I was unaware of that. For fuck's sake, you can do math for three seconds. The statement came in my email. It said, pay this much. I paid that much. I did not. Why don't you look at things? I don't know. I just don't. Do you have any care in life?
59:52What do we care about in life for you guys? I'm making sure my bills are paid on time, except the Discover card. The correct bills, though, because also now this has just hit$376.17 of interest. Meaning, in my mind, you did not actually have the bills hit. In my mind, the important bills are rent, car, and electric. These are important, but they're not, you know, necessary to live. Now you have to pay more. Yeah. And if you want to live in a house, they are necessary because they're f***ing your credit. Yeah.
1:00:26So I don't understand what you're talking about. Okay. I understand what I'm talking about Does it sound reasonable? Yeah Do you agree with her take? No I don't because these are bills that we put on ourselves So they're obviously necessary to pay off But I don't know Yeah our rent's paid so I guess that's where she's coming from And our dogs are fed Yeah parts not horribly difficult But It is when you have five dogs I have two and I get like the best dog food and I did before I made good money. It's still relatively chill in the grand scheme of bills. Yeah, I guess. Now a big vet visit, that's a different conversation, but 31.24 % interest rate.
1:01:11And now that is consistently accruing going forward. Yeah. Because we decided not to get ahead of any of our bills. Oh, f*** me. What are we doing? There is so much here. All right, TSC Tractor Supply. Who's this? That sounds like you. Oh, that's mine. Gay! Yeah, uh-huh. The big witchy lesbian, he asked me.
1:01:43$958.41.
1:01:50Here, you need mine? No. Minimum monthly payment is$34. That's not bad.
1:02:03interest is accruing 24 hours 26 cents takes five years to pay off okay what happened what's this It started a while back Whenever I was getting my dog food only from there I haven't spent on it in a long time What? What is it? What do you think? Is it late? What do you think? Don't say it's a late charge She has a late fee this year That's bull
1:02:31She has a late fee this year That's not surprising I didn't know that Is it just one? Does it just show one? Maybe we should consider auto pay honey Consider 33.24 % interest rate What the f*** What the f*** I got it whenever it was on one of those promotional things and spent money on it and haven't really thought about it since then Great, that's a quick path to financial success But I needed dog food So like I needed the card Yeah but you need to Put it on the credit card Or you guys got dogs When you financially should not have Because you are responsible for them Oh well that's agreed We just got a dog last year Why do you guys have five?
1:03:19Because I Oh shoot I have two She had two And then we just got a puppy He's a year old now Why? You guys want to bring kids too Yeah I know It's going to be a Chaotic Yeah, it's going to be wild and crazy. Is it an apartment? No, it's a townhouse. But our last dog that we just got was kind of like a spur of the moment type thing because one of our friends was trying to breed a dog and they ended up being the wrong type of breed because the wrong male dog got a hold of the female and she had an extra dog and we were like, yeah, we'll take him. Okay, who's the American Eagle? Me. $334.69. Yeah, because we have to spend$100 on a pair of jeans.
1:04:00Oh, for f***ing shit. It's not$100. It might be my sweatshirt. Sorry. Do you want me to move it? No, you're just not even wearing them. Oh, my jeans. Well, there's a reason for that. Are you pregnant? No. No. Why? What's the reason for you not wearing the pants that you spent$100 on? I'm bloated. Oh, she's on her period. They're not comfortable whenever I need to get a new pair. Yeah, so one week out of the month, every single month, she can't even wear the jeans that she spent$100 on. Also, I'm in scrubs almost six out of seven days of the week, so I hardly wear the pants that I actually own.
1:04:40$334.69. Minimum fee payment,$30. Purchases you're purchasing on here still. Yeah. Yeah? Like, that's okay? That's okay. They had promotions, and I bought a pair of pants. Doesn't matter. That means you're making them money, and you're f***ing yourself. for a pants that she doesn't even wear for a pants she doesn't wear because she's in scrubs all day she just said that herself yeah but I like looking nice and the pants fit comfortably well you look fine you look fine I like the pants that I put in there I mean I look fine too we're both dressed basic as yeah $30 minimum payment $14 14 months to pay this off yeah Yeah.
1:05:27Purchasing American Eagle. Okay, let's see here. No fees this year, surprisingly. Hell yeah. $29 in interest. That's at a 34 % interest rate. Yeah, let's keep purchasing on this card. For jeans that we don't wear because we're in scrubs all day, every day. I also don't just buy jeans. You know that. Who took whose last name? Did we do that? I haven't done it yet. Are we going to? Yes. I'm going to take her last name. Parents probably not happy We pretty much cut them off Really? They may or may not know, who knows My ex probably told them Just like he told them that I was dating a woman Oh yeah, the ex likes to stop all of our stuff And tell the parents everything I can see him taking it personally Because you guys kind of His last two girlfriends previously ended up gay too So it's not a me problem It's a him problem The number one YouTube membership just got upgraded.

Oh, I don't think that. No, no, no, no. You can still have different sexuality. Yeah, but I'm not interested. No, thanks. I'll pass on the penis. She's being very defensive right now. No, I'm not trying to be defensive. I'm just saying. That was a sassy and a casual question.
1:07:36No, she's sassy. So I wouldn't be surprised if it sass just came at you the rest of the conversation. Yeah, she's kind of a b****. $25 minimum monthly payment. Okay, that was rude. You don't like that one? No. I mean, I can be a b****, but I'm just trying to be nice. No? $300. That's the limit But you're at$297.20 Whose is this? Mine Oh this is Capital One Platinum card Is that me? I think that's me Well it's maxed out at$300 Does it have a name? No Is it Trish or Carey's? Does it have any spending on it? $44.70 I think it might be mine 15 months to pay this off We're going to Raising Cane, Starbucks, Gordo's mini tacos But the tacos, though.
1:08:24I'll have to. Do you guys, okay. Do we want to have a kid or not? Because so far in at least this side, no. We don't really care. 22. So we still want to like live. Still want to live young. Go crazy. I don't necessarily think that. I don't think that I want to go out and have fun because I feel like a typical 22-year-old is trying to go out every night and have a good time with friends. Every night? I don't know. We don't go out ever. I don't ever go out to a nightclub or bar. Well, you see each other two hours a week, so I wouldn't think you would. Okay, but I don't even go out with friends.
1:08:58Well, you have to be home for the dogs. We already know this. Yeah, but even if I had dogs, I don't have any friends. Yeah, but you're still finding your weirdy splurge. You're still finding your way to f*** around. Okay. It's pushed off to something else. Yeah. Food. Yeah, it's just food. Constantly. Interest accruing this year so far. This is crazy. Before we came in, we were talking about, you know, having kids and stuff, and I thought maybe you would want to donate.
1:09:28I mean, you're smart, and I would like my baby to be smart, so we were just talking about it a little bit. Just an idea.
1:09:40You don't know how to talk to him about that one. No, this is the only joke I had It was desperately inappropriate Freedom card Yeah By the way, I don't think I can have gay sex Gay sex Okay
1:09:59That's not how donating $40 a month Is the minimum payment on the freedom card Whose is this? Mine Okay Rinse takes your laundry and hand delivers it to your door expertly cleaned and folded. So you could take the time once spent folding and sorting and waiting to finally pursue a whole new version of you. Like tea time you. Mmm. Or this tea time you. Or even this tea time you. So did you hear about Dave? Or even tea time, tea time, tea time you. Mmm. So update on Dave. It's up to you. We'll take the laundry. Rinse. It's time to be great. It's a 383.47 What's going on with this card? Anything?
1:10:46I don't know. Are there any late fees? No interest. Actually, it looks interest-free. Wait, the whole card is interest-free? This is interest-free until a couple months from now. Okay. So we need to take care of this now. Okay. Or else it's gone. And there's no purchases on that one, right? No purchases on that one. Any late fees? No late fees. Petco, who's that? I did get on one. Oh, that's mine. We buy the dog food only from Petco now. Oh, okay. It was interest hitting$6.47. We're at a balance of 201 on a credit limit of 250, so that's not great. What's your credit? Do you know? Mine? Like 2, 4, 6, 6, 18?
1:11:23Something like that. What? 6, 18. Okay, 618. Gotcha. Yeah, interest is accruing this year so far. It's at a 36 % interest rate. Yeah, I didn't. I think that was one of the ones I got on a promotion thing too. Why? We just buy the dog stuff from there. Who's quick, Silver? Mine. Okay. Credit limit,$500, but we have a balance of$426.08. Transactions,$56.21. So you're purchasing on a card that is accruing interest that you cannot pay off. I thought that was only for her to do. But you're doing that now, so what the fuck are we doing? That one was because my debit card got locked because they thought that there was fraud going on, and it took them like two weeks that they I got the notification that it was locked and then two weeks later you definitely did that's all I did on that one yeah cause I get my Red Bulls and my snacks on the way to work yeah Red Bull snacks Red Bull snacks Red Bull snacks Red Bull snacks Red Bull snacks I need caffeine to survive though it doesn't taste the same no it doesn't but you're poor even though you guys make a lot of money you're poor how does that feel that's not great Imagine making a really good income above the median for the household in this country and in San Antonio and in Texas.
1:12:44But you guys are poor. Yeah, double homicide. It feels like shit. But it's what you guys are doing. What? I see something. What? I also feel like we're not the only ones that are poor that make a D.C. income. What does that matter? I guess I'm just. What? Who gives a f***? I mean, it's hard not to compare, you know? Yeah, what? That is just a desperate cope? A cope to make yourself feel okay for being pieces of money? No, who cares? Okay. If someone does three puffs of meth a day and you do one, it doesn't make you good. Yeah, you're... What? Nothing. Oh, come on. You know her. I feel like she's holding back something.
1:13:31Yeah, she wants to call you a dumbass or something. She's calling to spite us. Huh? I mean, you're just a smart. Yes. I get it. It's cool. Yeah. The show that you watched that you applied for. Yeah. Yeah. Uh-huh. She just, I think she just wants to justify her petty spending whenever. It's only a little spending here and there. It's not though, but I understand it's just an immediate. It's not a little spending here and there? Right. That's all it was. It's a big spending here and there. No. Are you, what are you talking about? We just went through your statements. It was a ton of little spending.
1:14:01Yeah. But it adds up to be a lot though. That's what I'm trying to say. Okay. What's the point? She just wants to fight. That's it. That's just a defense mechanism. I automatically just want to tell you to shut up, stop talking. But I wouldn't do that. I mean, I can, but I wouldn't. The whole point of this is for you to shit on us, but it's just irritating because, you know, shit on us. But because it's also true. Yeah. And it doesn't feel good. Yeah. You have to recognize that for the first time in your damn life. Okay. Carry on. Maybe deal with your shit and you won't have to be shit. Yeah. But I feel like I need somebody else to bring it up to me before I can do it myself.
1:14:42Of course. Okay. No late fee on this one. But interest is accruing like crazy. Again, it's just energy drinks and snacks. Come on, it's not good for you either. Yeah. Should I have a kid? Yeah, but I need caffeine. I just need it. If I didn't have caffeine, I would be a piece of a person. Guys, if we're trying to make a little hammer, we've got to. Is he agreeing to it? We've got to all come together. That was a yes, guys. We'll all come together. 28.99 % interest rate. Please, women don't come when they're with me. Oh. I'm very sorry for your girlfriend. At least it's fine. It's just you're straight.
1:15:3128.99 % interest rate. Okay, so this must be your Quicksilver then. I don't have one. You have double Quicksilver? Yeah. Well, the first one, one of them is a Walmart card. Oh, this one's also basically maxed out. The Walmart card got bought out by a Capital One, so it's now just a Capital One card. Did you see that Discover also got bought out by a Capital One? That just happened like three days ago. Uh-uh. $719.04 Minimum monthly payment $25 Four years to pay this off No purchases but$17.62 Of interest is occurring So I mean that was basically maxed out So I mean yeah not much in terms of purchasing Could be done but that's at a 30 % interest rate And we keep going Care credit Okay what's going on with this Dogs Hogs?
1:16:22Yeah, the little one had to get his year checkup and his balls chopped off. Yeah. Okay. Well,$268.37. Minimum of the payment was made. $30 for the minimum. $8.06 of interest is accruing. It takes 11 months to pay off. But that one's on, is that one on deferred interest or no? You said interest is accruing? Oh, my. There's been, I think, a late fee this year. For what? We just opened it. And then you didn't pay? No, I just opened it like two months ago. What is the fee? $30, which is typically a late fee. There's also a 33 % interest rate on this. No, it is not interest free. What? I thought it was like a six.
1:17:09So not only were you not paying, but it's also accruing interest. Yeah, but I thought that it was like six months free if we paid it off within six months. That's not it? I guess not. Oh, okay. That was one of the promotional ones, too, where if you spent a certain amount of money, it was zero interest for however many months. No, it's not. But we— It's literally not. We had it for a while, but then we didn't use it, so it closed, so she had to get it open again. Okay, what am I seeing on this? I'm seeing count name, best egg, cross river. Oh, that is how we pay our rent. Oh. Is it a debt? No.
1:17:50I mean, technically it's a loan, but we pay. But it's paid every month. Yeah, we pay half the month of the first and half the month. Who has collections? I do. You're 22. What? What is in collections? Because whenever I lived in my previous apartment before I moved in with her, I guess I technically broke the lease, but I also made sure to do it correctly, I guess. The apartment complex was a very. What the f*** does that mean? apartment complex. They had, there was some type of leak on the upstairs apartment. It caused mold to occur in my bathroom. I reported it. They didn't do it within seven days, which is like what was in the - Did you report it to any city agency?
1:18:30Try to get some law firm, anything? No. Pro bono? I just wrote a letter to the maintenance guy or to the management and I was like, I'm leaving. You just left. Yeah, because they didn't hold up their end of the deal. Yeah, I agree. Is there a way But this is in your account. when was this I don't think so this is so hard because you're going to have to prove that this is word now okay well you owe it yeah I'm not paying it the f*** is this I think that's my card so we don't want to get a house because it's at that point we're just talking like that could boost your credit by like 30 points that's not my number one priority sure I'll pay it but I'm not doing it yeah but that could boost your credit the quickest really yeah getting rid of collections okay then maybe that needs to be a higher priority for me it just depends on what you want and what your goals are I mean yeah Our goal is to buy a house and have a kid but I didn't realize that paying collections was first priority to get my credit score to go up.
1:19:24I'm not saying necessarily first priority but it can have some of the quickest effects. Depends on the entire situation because you have so many maxed out credit cards that could be one of the quicker ways for an immediate effect. We have a balance of$21 ,540. It's my car. What do you have? A 2020 Honda HRV. Interest rate is 5.54%. It's not the worst. Yeah. It's because I'm the co-signer on the car. You're the co-signer? Uh-huh. Don't look at me. Who is it in? Whose name is it in? My ex-husband's.
1:20:00Really? Mm-hmm. Okay, and how's that? Fine. Payments are made. Are you guys on talking terms? No. But when we wrote up our divorce, we wrote up a paper basically saying that I was responsible for any damages, payments anything like that both signed it had it notarized and that's all that's been said that's one of those things that we do have pretty constant conversations about because i would like to get it refinanced even if i have to be a co-signer for her but i want his name off of it yeah how how how how did you and the guy meet uh we went to high school together okay we lived in a really small town.
1:20:40Okay. Yeah, that's a sore subject because every once in a while he'll show up out of the blue and start about, he says it's about the car, but it was really just attacking. Yeah. I just recently blocked him like within the last month. I kept the communication open in case, I don't know, maybe I was able to refinance it, just something. And then it ended up being something that had nothing to do with the car. So I did end up blocking him because it wasn't for the car. It was the purpose of stirring some just to be an ass. But I know that both of our credits are pretty trash right now, so we won't...
1:21:15Yeah, refinancing would be f***ed right now, to be clear. And the interest rate on the car is pretty low. What do you think it's worth? You owe$21 ,540.04. We just looked. Minimum monthly payment,$50 ,477. We just looked. I think it said$15 to$17. Sounds about right. We're getting about$18, but yeah. There's damage to the back of it. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so we're underwater for sure. However, we could save ourselves maybe about$5 ,000 getting yourself a 10 ,000-hour car, barring the difference to pay this off as well by selling it. Ugh. I don't want to sell my car. It's a car. Who cares? Who cares?
1:21:55It's like, do we want to get there or not? Yeah. We can do a lot better. Mm-hmm. We can get to where we want to get. I'm guessing the Jeep is you then. Yeah, the Jeep is mine. Okay, so smaller balance. $9 ,328.60. Minimum monthly payment $392.52. Okay.
1:22:21Okay. Yeah, it's almost paid off. That was my first big purchase by myself. I'm an unpaid balance part though. Is that not the total that I owe? I can't tell. What's the interest rate on this? High. It's like$8. That was my first purchase by myself. Well, it's worth about the same. Just about the same, yes. She's not going to sell her car. I'm not saying to. Her car's at a reasonable price for you guys' situation. Okay, sorry. You're going to sell your car. I would like to refinance mine just so that 8 % was lower, but I know I only have about a year left. That was my first big purchase, so I did take the longest loan, but I have had it for five years now, so we're getting there.
1:23:04Okay, student loans, who's this? Under? Me. I think those are mine. How much is it total? $29. F*** me. Are payments started? Kind of. What? I didn't realize that the interest had started accruing on the payments, so I missed a couple payments. That's why my credit score dropped so low. What's the minimum monthly now? I don't know. She just signed up for the income-based one, so it's on— It's so weird because you guys do not have bad income, so I don't know. Your payment would honestly be, if it's$29, maybe$250, you can totally afford that. Why the f*** would you be on something special? Why should you be?
1:23:48I don't know. I guess it's because I can't straight up pay the balance that's due right now. That's because of your debt choices. That's because of your spending choices. If it's income-based, your income can't afford this. You should have to pay in a 10-year program. In that case, they'll tell me that my income-based whatever is not capable. No, they won't because it's dumb. Okay. Well, now I'm based on a 90-day hold and I don't make a payment until they decide. Okay. I mean, I guess it's going to be like 50 bucks because it's always something like that. I think it was like 110 whenever she looked.
1:24:21110. What was? The payments that you were supposed to be making? No. My payments that I was supposed to be making was$304.11. Yeah. Which you could if you weren't spending$900 a month on going out to eat. Understand. Great. Glad we're subsidizing. You're going out to eat.
1:24:39Okay. Yeah. Yeah, past it. Do you have student loans? Yeah. Okay, what's your student loans? It's a little hard to tell who's in here. Oh, that's all mine. Mine are like, there's like six individual. I don't know if mine are in there. It's about$50 ,000. For what? I went to school right out of high school to be a math teacher. I got my associates and dropped out. I went to culinary school in Denver for a year and doubled my student loans in the one year. And I actually just started going to school last semester. Why? Because I want a career. In? Psychology. I want to go to child psychology. For f***s sake.
1:25:30So because you're in school, you don't have to pay, right? Correct. For fuck's sake. Listen, it's not child psychology, but if either of you want a course career certification, I'll give it to you. I don't think it's actually applicable to you guys' situation, but either way. That's crazy. Yeah. Now we're going back in. How much school do you have to do? Is it full four years? I have to get a master's. Oh, fuck, kill me now. All of those are your student loans? And you know this, and you're aligned with this, and you're okay with this. You're okay with me going to school? Yeah. That's just my credit report.
1:25:58It's going to take away time from work eventually. That's your credit report? Yeah. Especially once Masters starts Yeah, but currently Income will be on you again as a breadwinner That's fine, I'll have my certifications Yeah, but you have to pay off the debt too That's why we're trying to get there before I go to Masters I get that, and I'll get a better job You did that, you paid off the debt No, I said I get that And within the next year I'll have a certification In the actual job that I'm doing And I can get a better paying job What will the pay be? Triple? Is that true? What will the job be?
1:26:28A travel contract for ultrasound. Okay. Good. I love that. We'll use that and we'll feel that towards the debt for sure. Okay, can I ask you a question though? As far as travel contracts go, do you know anything about the taxes behind that? Are you a contractor or W-2? That would be a contractor. It wouldn't be W-2. Set like 25 % aside for taxes. Okay. That's all. I didn't know how that worked. If you're a contractor, that looks like all the debt. Is that all the debt? It looks like all the debt. No, that's all. I think that's it. I actually do have something in collections, but it isn't on my credit report.
1:27:03How long has it been? I just got a packet mail. What's it for and how much? It was for the previous engagement ring. But I'm trying to dispute it because I did take the ring back to them. They have the ring, but they still tried to send me. It was like$1 ,500. Okay, I won't write it down. We'll see if that happens. Checking account. $69 in here. It's not good.
1:27:36I don't know what account that is. We all have the same. RBFCU. We both have one individual and we have the joint one. It's the one where Quizlet. Oh, that's mine. So$69. Disney plus, Apple bill, going in and getting some BS, going in and getting some BS, going in and getting some BS, going and getting some BS, going and getting some BS, going and getting some BS, and going and getting some BS.
1:28:26What are your thoughts on that? I'm just, or sorry, she's just as guilty as I am. So you're okay with it? No, I'm just saying that it's not just me that's suspender in the relationship. Would I say I'm more? Yes. But I'm not the only one. In my mind, if I have it in my checking account and there's still money in my checking account after I pay for it, then I can afford it. Savings$21. Overdraft protection. And this account at$309. That's probably money. And that's so we can get Netflix and courtesy pay fee and Amazon, Big Country, Whole Navy and Target, Raising Cane's, Chick-fil-A, Going to Get Into BS, Bushes, Chicken, Starbucks, TikTok Shop, McDonald's, Amazon Academy Sports Lavernia Lavernia It's a town Okay well that one's not as easy as Charades Mason Donuts Starbucks Store Raising Canes Dutch Bros Dairy Queen McDonald's Taco Cabana
