0:00Hello, everyone. The U.S. is making a mega move right now, and they are trying to recalibrate the global world order. There's$60 billion of Bitcoin that's supposedly missing in Venezuela, and we have undeniable proof that capitalism is superior to socialism. We're live today from the desk of Anthony Pompliano.

0:26Before we get into today's episode, I need your help. My goal is to get to 1 million subscribers on YouTube. Right now, we have just below 42 ,000 subs. But with your help, hit that subscribe button and we'll reach our goal. Let's get into today's episode. All right, our first question today. It seems like the United States is quickly making a number of geopolitical moves. What do you think is happening and why? Well, I do agree that the U.S. is making mega moves right now, and they are trying to recalibrate the global world order. First, obviously, Venezuela was a big deal. We went in and we took Maduro out of Venezuela, brought him back to New York, and that has created what some are deeming as some sort of power vacuum there.

1:02But I actually think if you listen to what the administration is saying, they're talking about the fact that they are trying to deter and prevent Iran, China, Russia, and others from using Venezuela as some sort of base of operations in the Western Hemisphere. That makes sense. Now, that then leads to the question of, OK, what are we going to do with natural resources? What's going to happen to the oil? There's lots of stuff to pay attention to. But if you get bogged down just in Venezuela, you miss the bigger story. There's also talk now that Iran and Cuba, those could be next on the chopping block, that the United States may be trying to make a very big move here and take all of these adversaries and their dictator leaders and put them off the map.

1:38If they do that, Iran and Cuba would be the next two places where most likely the United States would take some sort of action. The reason is that Russia and China, they're big countries. They've got the military to defend themselves. And frankly, they are seen much more as superpowers than Iran or Cuba. I'm not saying we're going to go do that, but if there's going to be moves made, Iran and Cuba would be next on that. Now, of course, as soon as you start talking about outside of Venezuela and other places, you got to look at what's actually happening, not just the rumors. What I find very interesting is that there's this oil tanker that was in Venezuela going through the Caribbean.

2:10They somehow switched their flag and made it a Russia flag. And the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. military, they tracked it down and they boarded it this morning. This is the geopolitical game that's underway here. If you listen to Marco Rubio, Stephen Miller, and even President Trump, they're all telling you that they are not going to allow our adversaries into the Western Hemisphere and try to figure out how they can become closer to the United States from a physical proximity standpoint. On top of that, I believe that there is this global competition for financial assets via economic policies, for propaganda, for the hearts and minds of the global world, and also of strategic assets, both nation state assets and not.

2:49And so as the United States makes this move, this is what superpowers do. It's superpowers doing superpower things. And whether people like it or not, the United States is the most powerful country in the world. The United States is the world police because the world is safer and more stable when the United States is willing to enforce the international law. Now, what is international law? There's no actual international law. It is simply who has the military might. And as the U.S. proved over the weekend, the U.S. is the dominant military. Now, that then brings into question things like Greenland.

3:19And again, I don't think that we should go and send our military to take over Greenland. I think instead what's going to probably happen is there's some negotiation and Greenland is going to be deemed a strategic asset to the United States. And ultimately the United States is going to end up owning Greenland as well. Now, again, you may not like it, but that is where the world is headed. We're headed to this bipolar world where the U S and China, they know they need each other right now, but they would like to separate from each other. So the United States is making the move. They're trying to secure the Southern border, which they have.

3:45They're trying to secure strategic assets. They're trying to make sure that physical proximity to the U.S. is protected. And ultimately, the U.S. is saying the superpower of the 21st century, we want that role. We want to run the world. And I think that they've got a pretty good shot at doing it. Our second question today is that Venezuela is now rumored to have$60 billion of Bitcoin. Do you believe that? Well, I don't know if it's$60 billion, but I definitely think that Venezuela's got some Bitcoin. So how did they get the Bitcoin? If we go back and we look over the last five or six years, Venezuela, they know they're in hot water with the U.S.

4:15It's no secret. The United States ain't really big fans of Venezuela. Maduro, he was actually charged in U.S. courts about five or six years ago with drug trafficking and many other things that made him a fugitive. And then obviously there was all of the contested kind of highly debated election and the fact that he likely stole the election in Venezuela. So what do you do? Well, if you've been looting all of the natural resources, all of the state assets, all of the oil, gold, et cetera, from the Venezuelan people, you can't hold it in oil or gold. One, One, it's hard to transact in, but also to be really easy for somebody to come and take that from you, especially if it's stored outside of your borders.

4:49And so now there are reports coming out that say that the Venezuelan leadership team, they've actually been using different intermediaries all around the global world, and they've been converting that stuff into Bitcoin. So they've been selling oil, they've been selling gold, turning it into Bitcoin. Now, people are trying to estimate how much Bitcoin does the Venezuelan government actually have. If you look at the timetable, they probably were doing this. You know, Zero Hedge got a great report. They're saying that it was likely being converted into Bitcoin somewhere between$5 ,000 and$10 ,000 per coin.

5:18Obviously today, Bitcoin trades at over$90 ,000. So if you do the math of how much oil, how much gold they were selling, plus if they were converting into Bitcoin at that time, and you have the price appreciation, estimates are anywhere between$40 to$60 billion of Bitcoin. Now, who owns that Bitcoin? Who's got the private keys? Are we going to be able to get access to it? And what should the United States do with the Bitcoin if we actually seize it? These are all big questions. I don't have all the answers. I think that ultimately the United States, if there's$60 billion of Bitcoin floating around out there, they're going to find it.

5:48They're going to figure out who's got the private keys. And my guess is that if the United States wants to go and get it, they're probably going to be able to go and get it. Now, the question becomes, what do you do with it? U.S. government's position right now is anything that is seized in Bitcoin is going into the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. Now, the only question that is on the other side of the counter argument is that if that Bitcoin was purchased with ill-gotten gains from resources that are actually property of the Venezuelan people, should the US government take that Bitcoin and somehow return it back to the Venezuelan people or return that money back to Venezuelan people?

6:16That's above my pay grade. I don't have an answer, but it's gonna be very interesting to watch this. Now, what I do know is that the economic impact of what has happened in Venezuela is incredible. We know the Venezuelan stock market up over 50 % already. We know if we go and we look at the oil services indexes, public.com's got some great charts here where they're actually showing these things are up seven and a half, 8 % in the last week. And then if we look at Bitcoin's price, that has also really gone up about three or 4%. And so ultimately the market doesn't lie. We know that people like the fact that we've now taken a dictator out of power and people feel like capitalism is returning into Venezuela and a lot of second and third order effects are taking place, but it's all green.

6:55We're not seeing red. So that means the market likes it. I think that we're going to find the$60 billion of Bitcoin. I think that we're going to have a very big question of what to actually do. I'd love to hear from you what you think we should do. And then of course, I think that the global financial system, it loves the fact that capitalism and free markets are spreading globally. And ultimately that's why asset prices are going up. Our third question today, socialism is becoming more popular. You see it everywhere. Why is capitalism a better system? It's a great question. I got three things that I recently saw that prove capitalism is a better system.

7:25First up, Peter McCormick, a good friend of mine. He has this chart which shows capitalism versus communism. And he says, evidence, you lose commies. You can see here, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, and others, when they ended, socialism or communism back in the early 1990s, all of a sudden their countries exploded in terms of life expectancy. A huge reason for that is because free markets and capitalism not only brings in better healthcare, better food, but drives the prices, a lot of positive impacts into these economies. But it's not just these. If you go and you take a look, there's an even better example.

7:57We can do a side-by-side comparison. Some may say it's an A-B test. We have Poland and we have Venezuela. Now, Venezuela, according to Michael Arrut, used to be much wealthier than Poland. It was suffering under socialism. Then Poland implemented free market and capitalistic principles and it enjoyed an economic boom. Venezuela, on the other hand, chose socialism and that brought poverty and misery to its people. He says that is the difference. And you can see here, they literally just switched places. They traded different economies, different approaches, and you can see the impact. But don't take my word for it.

8:29Who am I? You may not believe me. How about John Mackey? He's a good entrepreneur. He's a great investor. he's built a really, really big system. He believes in capitalism, and he recently talked about it with David Senra on David Senra's new podcast. Take a listen to what John had to say here. Capitalism created the possibility of the win-win-win. It used to be a zero-sum game where somebody won, somebody else lost. And the biggest mistake people make, intellectuals in particular, they still think we're in a zero-sum world. They're obsessed with some billionaires because Bernie Sanders thinks that Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk somehow stole the money from the people.

9:06They don't understand that it's this prosperity machine that's creating more, not just for those billionaires, but for everything that they're touching. They're creating value for their customers. They're creating value for their employees. Their suppliers are flourishing. Their investors are seeing their capital go up that can be reinvested in compound. All philanthropy ultimately comes from business. That's where the profits are. Where's the money coming from? Where does all the taxes come from? And ultimately comes from business as well, whether you're taxing the employees who are flourishing.

9:37This is the engine that's lifting humanity out. And the entrepreneurs are the drivers of that engine. And somebody like Elon Musk, he gets a very, very, very tiny sliver of the value that he creates for the whole world. So there you have it. Three different data points that all show capitalism is a better system than socialism. Socialism sounds good, but it's horrible for people. Capitalism, it's kind of like tough love. You may not think you want it, but ultimately it puts you in a better position. That's it for today's show. Thank you guys so much for watching. Please send us feedback in the comments.
