00I got a pair of jorts this weekend. I haven't broken them out yet. What's the inseam? Inseam is kind of long. It's kind of knee length. They're a little on the baggy side. That's good. Yeah, they're not like short jorts. But I feel pretty good about them. And I'm going to put my wife on blast here for a second. She was like, I like the jorts, but just like, you know, don't go full Kevin. What's full Kevin? Like me dressing like you. I don't own jorts. No, but you - I don't own a single pair of jorts. Really? And if I did, they'd be high. They'd be high short shorts. I don't like anything past my knee.

37It makes me feel weird. Yeah, it's not past my knee, but it's like they're not short shorts. I need them above knee. I know you've got great legs. You've got to show them off. But you know what I mean? It just is an aesthetic that you rock as a young man that I admire, but it's as an almost 40-year-old man. So she was advising you to not go almost Capri length, right? No. Or was she talking short? She was just saying about the overall aesthetic. She wasn't saying about the shorts. She was like, I like the shorts, but just like maybe don't grow a mustache and don't, you know, get a bunch of tattoos and like don't like start going into that, you know, sort of Kevin direction.

18Well, I mean, if your wife hates your fit, that means it's great, right? That's to be honest. She advises you to not do something. You should lean in, right? She didn't love the jorts idea, but I think I got her on board once I, you know. Yeah, I mean, you were built for that. You were raised in that era. A lot of these people were in jorts, although the long jorts, they didn't come from that. They just saw it on the internet and thought it was cool. Yeah, no, I mean, I will say, though, I don't know how many pairs of jorts I've had in my lifetime. One thing that she didn't want was the jorts that were sort of like totally frayed and cut off from jeans.

54Yeah, those never fit well. No, that was not the vibe. I think they fit some people, some Slenderman well. Yeah, I'll never be a Slenderman. Can I tell you one funny thing before we get into the show? I was wearing my jorts for the first time on Saturday night. I was with a friend. I won't tell you who they are. But I said something about jorts. I mentioned my jorts because I was very excited. They don't know I'm wearing jorts. They don't know I'm wearing jorts. And she said, what are jorts? jewish shorts wow and that was the highlight of my day jewish shorts jewish shorts

36three two one kevin what's up nothing much how are you good uh you're having a good week it's fine it's fine you're having a better week than justin temperament i think maybe yeah i'm i'm confident of it you know but uh no you you the joe burrow transformation is uh it's almost complete yeah i mean if i had a little bit more if i was a little bit more chiseled in the jaw line i might start getting i might start doing the jaw exercises i was telling jackie about that the other day that i keep getting fed tiktok ads for this jaw device that you just chew on and it gives you the Matt Reif jaw? Is that what you're trying to go for?

20Well, I don't want anything that aggressive. I just want something a little bit more chiseled. And I'm starting to mew. Okay. Sucking my tongue up to the top of my roof to look a little. Yeah, you taught me about the mew. You said I have to start mewing in my photos. Yeah. I think you need a mog. I think you're more of a mog. Whoa, I don't even know what a mog is. It's the next step. So you mew and then you open your mouth a little bit. And I believe you suck your cheeks in. Wow. slightly furrow your brow and then that's a mog I believe that's what the kids are that's what the kids are saying that's what this podcast is for is Kevin teaches me things from the internet do you know the Rizzler?

57are you familiar with the Rizzler? I'm absolutely not he runs with Big Justice have you seen that dad and son on TikTok who go to like it's like oh the Rizzler and Big Justice? we're the Costco guys of course we're gonna get the chicken bake and then they're like they rate the chicken bake and it's like boom i have not it's great wholesome content and honestly um i was talking to my friends about this is the risler and big justice are two like you know chubby kids uh husky boys and i was just you know i wish when i was a child there was some husky boys for me to look up to because it could have been a game changer I could have been the Rizzler but the Rizzler he does good tutorials on how to do the Rizz face which is in part mogging and then you raise one of the eyebrows and then he rubs his chin really funny I just googled them I didn't know the Rizzler was 8 years old I was picturing someone a little bit older than nah he's the Rizzler did he uh rizzo uh uh or libby don or is that uh someone else no that was baby gronk he looks a lot like baby gronk i guess he's he's more he's more he's more down to earth and he seems like he's um doing content by his own volition unlike his like brother or father who is forcing uh well i don't think the risler and baby gronk aren't related they're in the same like content universe Like, they're, you know, the Rizzlers trying to say in a football, he's calling out Baby Gronk.

35Oh, really? There's beef between the Rizzler and Baby Gronk? Fake beef. I mean, I think Baby Gronk would lock down the Rizzler for sure. It'd be crazy. It wouldn't even be a contest. I mean, I think Baby Gronk is probably significantly older than the Rizzler, but, you know, maybe in a couple years. Who knows? I saw that Baby Gronk was going to colleges and sort of doing his tours. I mean, he's been doing it. They let anyone in those doors, especially if you've got some clout. Oh, man. I just saw a picture of Baby Gronk. He's got tattoos, fake tattoos up his arms, and he's wearing a pacifier as a sort of mouthpiece with a football jersey on.

12So, dude, Baby Gronk is a legend. I mean, he fell off. He fell off, really. You hate to see it. Yeah. I mean, everyone's annoyed by the whole thing, which is fair because it's very annoying. Was it his brother or is his father? I think it was his father. Had the shot collar on him sort of demanding that he do these TikToks. I don't think there's a legitimate shot collar. No, that's the shot collar comes. I don't know if you've seen that dog outside of Citi Field that has like a sort of a pipe in its mouth. Absolutely. And it has a shot collar that they cover with bandanas. And it's been out there for like 10, 15, 20 years now, forced to sit there outside of Citi Field and like demand money from people.

53It's really fucking sad. Yeah, I didn't know there was a shot caller. I thought it was just a good boy. No. I mean, how does a dog sit there in the heat just collecting tips with something in its mouth? No dog's going to do that. So, dude, that's one of the fucking worst stories ever. Yeah, definitely. Yeah. I'm happy to learn about the Rizzler and Big Justice because I'm looking at this kid. The Rizzler rocks. I agree with you. I wish there were sort of – I'm high key in on the Rizzler. Chubby role models for me when I was a kid. So you just didn't have those kind of things. Yeah. But it's okay.

27We got them now. We got them now. It took us a long time. We got them now, and I need to probably get off the internet because I'm frying my brain. My IQ is plummeting. Yeah. No. It's about time to pull the parachute and try to rescue myself out of this dopamine hole I've created. Yeah. I mean, listen, I'd love to see it. I'd love to see what an internet-free Kevin's brain would come up with. It would be only gross. I know. But for this show, I think you've got to stay tapped in. But listen, I support you whatever you want to do. Speaking of the Mets, the Mets are 9-2 since Grimace throughout the first pitch.

01And I, for one, am excited. Yeah, they need to get them out there again. Yeah, what do they do now? I mean, obviously, McDonald's is in on it. Grimace and Mrs. Met. They have a relationship, you're saying? No, I mean, I don't know. That's just my idea. I love that idea. To have Grimace come in and steal Mrs. Met from Mr. Met, that's a brilliant idea. I went to a game for Father's Day and I saw the dancers for the first time. That's a terrible idea. The dancers? Yeah, the Mets have dancers. Oh, yeah. I've seen them. Yeah, that's not great. That's pretty dumb. I don't know. It's New York, dude. Why do we need fucking bullpen or whatever?

38Dugout dancers. Get the people going. For what? I don't know. To cheer. To cheer? To bring the energy. Yeah, I don't think that's... I don't know. It just feels wrong. It's baseball. don't don't you know basketball it's fine nick city dancers like that's a whole thing football you got the cheerleaders you know dallas cowboys have a documentary about on netflix about the cheerleaders um yeah i'm here for all of that i'm not trying to but like mets whatever city dancers whatever they're called yeah i mean i think it's all a bit weird i think the in between innings stuff is getting out of hand i feel like an old man old man yells at cloud but um yeah again back my day kevin you know again it uh it comes for us all you know some people are out here posting some boomer shit on their instagram stories and others other other people um you know they're complaining about how nobody bunts anymore and how the in between inning entertainment is way too much yeah man you gotta you gotta get guys in position dude you know what the hell everyone's just trying to go for the long ball yeah he gotta put small balls that is the thing no but i really loved how this grimace thing kind of i mean alonzo said it himself grimace got us hot yeah that's what he said and uh yeah i mean they're playing good ball the guys are uh are scoring runs which is great uh diaz got thrown out of a game yesterday for cheating suspended for 10 games really i didn't see that wow okay mets are back foreign substance yeah good for him if you ain't cheating you ain't trying baby yeah listen that's what bill belichick says and look at him now he's got a 23 year old girlfriend 24 oh sorry i'm sorry did you see i saw this yesterday the girlfriend had a uh ex-boyfriend, he was 65.

18Wow, she's got a type. Yeah, she's got a type. Was he also rich or was he just some schmo? I don't know. I didn't read the article. But I just, yeah, that's the breaking news is that the, yeah, not the first rodeo. She went from 60s to 70s. Yeah. And so she's, but she is not. I mean, Bill Belichick, he's a young man at heart. That's right. I mean, and also surrounds himself with young people. You see that, the ring camera footage of him? He's fucking ripped. No. Last summer, some ring camera footage dropped of him walking out of an apartment shirtless. And it was presumably his new girlfriend's apartment.

56Okay. But he was wearing jeans and no shirt. And he just walked out of the apartment like nothing happened. He's got that old man strength. Little morning walkout. Walk of shame? No. He had his head held high. Oh, yeah. Just looking ripped? Yeah, looking ripped. Hell, yeah. I'm happy for them. I love love.

16Wow. It's certainly weird, but who am I to judge? Well, Kevin, I love that about you. You're just a romantic at heart. That's really the thing. Yeah, I guess they met on an airplane, and she was working on her philosophy homework or something. That's the story. Yeah, no, no. She was, yeah, magically they had a meet cute on a plane. She was doing her homework, and he was just helping her. Good for her. Yeah, I agree. Good for him, you know? Mm-hmm. I'm happy. I'm happy for them. I'm happy for the young couple, Kevin. You know, it's the summer of love. Yeah. You know what it actually really is? It's the summer of Charlie XCX, Kevin.

57Yeah, have you listened to the album? I have. I actually do really like it. Yeah, it's good. I'm with everybody. I especially love the album artwork. To me, that's the real winner here. That's the real secret of the success is the stretch type and the neon green. Oh, really? I was anticipating you saying that the type should be a little higher res. No. It should be bigger. No. It should be bolder. No. No. In all caps? It's absolutely perfect. It's absolutely perfect? Mm-hmm. It's absolutely perfect. I started following the design studio that did the artwork, and they do some pretty fucked up amazing stuff.

34What's the studio? I'm trying to find the name of it. Okay. So I knew you were going to ask that question. So the designer is a guy by the name of Brent David Freeney, and he has a studio called Special Offer Inc. So respect on the name. Really cool. Really well rolled out. The marketing has been fantastic. Like she did a pop up in Williamsburg. She's just everywhere. It's her moment. Yeah. It's the summer of the bright color. Yeah. And so good for her. And I do think design is playing a big part in this. So shout out to Special Offer. Do you think the design's better? Do you think the album's better?

15I think it's a combination. I think if the album artwork was this sick and the music wasn't as great, I don't think it would have worked. I think if the music was great and it didn't have this great of an album cover, I think it probably would still work. But I think the combination, too, is really what's happening here. Yeah, that's what happens. is no i mean the music is obviously uh yeah it's fantastic and it's good and i'm happy for her i don't you know haven't i'm not like haven't been a fan in the past like not no disrespect just not necessarily something that i engage with a ton but uh i've always thought she was cool like i've always thought her general persona her vibe her like anytime i've heard her interviewed she just seems like yeah she rocks she yeah she just seems like fun and cool and normal and uh yeah obviously has great taste and and makes good music uh and good design choices and now good design choices which is really how she uh has won me over personally uh let's move on though kevin we got some stories this week uh i'm gonna start with the big story that we actually talked about two weeks ago and we were talking about the nathan's hot dog contest on july 4th fairly organically and we're just talking about how i wasn't going to be there yeah we're just talking about how you were not going to go and that is the second year in a row that you haven't been there but you have gone many times in the past i saw him break the record you and i got a t-shirt from the year he broke the record which i should have ordered but i guess it doesn't really matter it doesn't matter but uh yeah you love the hot dog eating contest i always watch it on tv i i it's appointment television for me it's a tradition unlike any other uh yeah nathan's i I grew up in Oceanside, New York, which is the second famous hot dog, Nathan's hot dog establishment.

01The first one, Coney Island, second one, Oceanside. So it's like a big part of pride for me. I love Nathan's. I have a special place in my heart for it. I don't know when they started doing the hot dog eating contest, but it's been at least probably 20 years or so. It's now become a thing. In the past 20 years, it's grown to be like a legitimate sport. They started putting it on ESPN. Yeah. I think that's really when it took that turn. But that's been at least 15, 20 years now. And Joey Chestnut has been the guy for the last 10 of it. I don't know exactly how long his run is, but he has been dominating.

35He's been competing since 2007. Okay. But he himself has just been absolutely dominating this competition. And no one even comes close. So we were talking about the general July 4th, Nathan's. And I think I actually said that it was kind of getting bored maybe. or I forget exactly what I said that, you know, we need to spice something up because Joey just wins by so much. It's not that fun. The competition's Joe. It was Joey versus himself. You're right. And, you know, sometimes you get to see him break the record. Yeah. And sometimes you don't. Depending on the conditions. You can bet the over or you can bet the under.

09Yeah. I forget what the conditions need to be, but hotter is better, but not too hot. Right? Not too hot. Yeah. I think if it's like sweltering, it's trouble because then sweat is involved or something. he needs it to be warm though because it's like part of the jaw needs to stay warm so if it's too cold I don't think he eats as much either well I don't think it could really be that cold in the summertime in New York but it was raining well the rain affected it yes but like in 2020 when they did it indoors because of COVID they didn't do it outdoors that year but people were speculating that he was going to break the record because he was in the AC out of the heat but he didn't yeah so you don't know he hit the over but he didn't break the record well joey has been in a competition for himself unfortunately the day that we recorded that podcast it came out that joey was not allowed he was banned for the competition i know like all big all great big stories that break it broke on tuesday right after we recorded exactly and i almost said we should just get back in and start recording again but listen here we are and i'm glad we didn't because now there's been new news.

22The dust has settled. So the original story was that Joey was not allowed to compete because he had a partnership with Impossible Foods. So we covered the Impossible rebrand a couple months ago. And so apparently Joey had done a partnership deal or some sort of deal with them where he was eating faux hot dogs or he was going to promote faux hot dogs. There was a lot of fake news circulating when this story dropped. There were some people saying that he was trying to eat those faux hot dogs in the Nathan's contest, which was a total lie. And if you know anything about Major League Eating, they are a strict organization and they exercise their control on the competitive eaters, mostly for the worse.

09yeah there's a documentary and yeah something about the mle is just shady and a little bit yeah controlling they don't let the guys do events outside of their competition which i guess like if you're in the nba or major league baseball like you're you're not allowed to play in other leagues at the same time which i guess is makes is that a law like i know those leagues During the season, yeah. I guess those leagues have their own laws and their own things. But I think the problem with MLE is there's not enough competitions. And so these guys need to make a living. There's enough competitions. There's just not enough money circulating to like – Yes.

52I mean, Joey Chestnut should be massive. He should be the most wealthy person in the nation, in the world even. Joey Chestnut should be allowed to do whatever fucking deals he wants to do. Yeah, I mean, he is MLE. That's what I'm saying. Like the MLE should just let Joey Chestnut, even if he wants to do a deal like with any brand, like, I mean, somewhat understand where they're coming from, where they're like, Nathan's is the official partner of this event. And so Nathan's in some weird way are, I guess it makes sense. Like if you go to a supermarket, there's impossible and Nathan's there, you know, I guess a Nike and Adidas type situation where they're very much sort of competitors.

29So the idea that he would do a deal with the competition, I guess, makes him not someone that Nathan's wants to put on their stage and be at their event. I guess it's funny. At the time, I was like, it makes no sense to me why they would do this. They're going to just lose money and it's just not going to be as exciting. But I guess now as the dust has settled and I think about brand partnerships, it does make a little bit of sense. Yeah. I think I'm not 100 % sure on this fact floating around, but I've heard that Nathan's and Impossible have a co-packing deal. So it's, I don't know, it just seems a little bit more like an MLE, major league eating stipulation or some sort of control they're trying to impose on him.

20Yeah. rather than like a brand partnership clash. Yeah, I guess MLE and Nathan's, you know, sort of our team here. And I guess they're saying, quote, for nearly two decades, we've worked under the same basic hot dog exclusivity provisions, which is a hilarious sentence. I mean, this press release seems like professional. However, it seems that Joey and his managers have prioritized a new partnership with a different brand over a long time relationship. So I guess the question is, is like, is Joey getting paid by Nathan's?

53Or is he not allowed to work with other brands because he's in the MLE and MLE has a deal with Nathan's? Because if that's the case, that's bullshit because Joey should be allowed to get partnerships. I agree with you. Joey should be able to make as much money and he should be as rich as LeBron James. He should be a billionaire because he is an American hero. And that's what the next quote says. Joey Chestnut is an American hero. We'd love nothing more to have him at Nathan's famous international hot dog eating contest, which he has dominated for years. We hope that he returns when he is not representing a rival.

27Yeah. Well, I would speculate that there is maybe some contract disputes going on because Joey did say that he is not under contract with MLE. And his contract did run out at the end of the last calendar year. At the end of 2023, it ran out. So he does not have a new deal. I don't believe they renewed, and I think he was doing some sort of event contract for the Nathan's hot dog eating contest. Got it. So this has probably been in the works. So you're saying they announced this to drum up hype a couple weeks before the hot dog competition, you think? Because, I mean, Joey seemed to be caught off guard.

12His quote was, I was gutted, good pun there, to learn from the media that after 19 years, I'm banned from the Nathan's July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest, Chestnut Road. I love competing in that event. I love celebrating America with my fans all across this great country on the 4th, and I've been training to defend my title. What a great hero. Yeah. An American hero. For sure. I love that no dispute. Disputes over the hot dogs, but there's no dispute that Joey Chestnut is a great American hero. 100%. And, yeah, so he said that he did not have a contract with MLE or Nathan's, and they're looking to change the rules from the past years as it relates to partners that he can work with.

50Yeah, and one thing about MLE is they don't want to change the rules. I do feel like MLE is as strict as the NFL, which seems hilarious to me. I feel like they should be a little bit looser with their restrictions. Yeah, when the revenue is not coming in. when you're not making NFL money. That's right, exactly. If Joey Chestnut was making$50 million,$500 million a year from MLE, then I think they can control him however they want. I'd be curious to know the numbers. Control them however they want. I mean, as far as brand partnerships and reasonable standards, I agree with you. I see both sides.

33Nathan's is not just a restaurant. It's a packaged foods brand. In every supermarket. And there was only a couple key hot dog brands, right? Yeah. Oscar Mayer. Like, if he was in a hot Oscar Mayer ad, I'm sure Nathan's would be pissed. Yeah. So, it's impossible. It's just right up there. I guess the question that I have also is, where's the impossible, like, partnership? I don't see, like, I've Googled it. There's no ads. There's no YouTube stuff. Like, there's no, there's nothing I've seen. It could be brand spanking new. that could be the straw that broke the camel's back here. I think all of this has like a 50 % shot of being completely all scripted.

17Doesn't it feel like that? Yeah, I mean, I think Third Eye Open, based off the news that came out post-announcement, not even a day after the announcement. So that is the next part. This makes me think that it could be, we could be in the midst, this could be marketing we're we're being played here so yeah i think my gut was that this felt a little fishy mostly because of the timing because it felt like it was in the marketing rollout of july 4th like i don't think people are thinking about july 4th to at least june so i felt like this timing of the ban felt like it was going to be good marketing and good storyline for the event itself i think as you know or as i just said like it's getting a little stale like i was hoping that they could hopefully maybe find someone that could give joey a run for his money and the only person that's been able to do that is kobayashi and kobayashi has been banned from mle for like at least five to ten years so we haven't had them compete which is kind of where i was like why what's going on here and then a day after this announcement of his banning it was announced that joey chaston and kobayashi will face off on labor day for the first time since 2009 on netflix so this is exciting news yes um i'm very stoked yeah for this event yeah so uh the two biggest names in hot dog will reunite for a wiener takes all competition on labor day to finally settle their unfinished beef damn fucking phenomenal 100 beef franks yeah the event will stream live on the platform on september 2nd with timing and location to be announced later if it's in new york i'm going i have a question about this like why not do it on july 4th do you think this was all set up in the day between do you think netflix just jumped on this or do you think they've been working on this for six months to a year it's hard it's really hard to say without any insider information yeah although i mean it does seem like this is a very fast moving story you know like nothing's really like set in stone and like everything's kind of like tentative like the new hot dog eating contest is you know in the future giving enough time to you know throw ample production behind it.

45But like part of me is like, is MLE getting a cut? I would, I would say probably not, but it makes you think because they kind of played right into the hand of this marketing rollout. Yeah. Is ESPN, you know, sort of what's the deal with that contract? Like, are they still getting the ratings numbers? I wonder how the event will do this year as obviously it's not going to be on the same level of where it's been with Joey Chestnut. I assume people are still alive. I've got a take for this. So I think this is a win-win situation. For everybody. So I think the hot dog eating contest is finally competitive again.

21It's anybody's, anyone can win. Badlands Booger? No, not anyone. But there's like two or three guys at the top. I'm unclear of their names, but I will know their names come July 4th. So there's two or three dudes at the top who have a chance to win. Okay. And seeing a competitive eating contest where it's multiple people rather than just a person competing against his own record, I think that's a win for the sport there. Any real MLE fan, competitive eating fan, I think it's a better situation for us because we get to see a competition again. And then on the other hand, it's a better competition to see the two goats go at it, go head to head.

08so I think it's a win-win for everybody and you know potentially was MLE tipped off about this release so they decided to get out in front of it and ban him yeah that does feel yeah there's something going on here though is more than meets the eye and I agree with you is MLE you know is it involved with the Netflix situation or is it sort of like was that announcement It's probably a reaction. Yeah, a reaction to it. Because Joey, I imagine Joey probably wanted to do both, right? Nathan's and the Kobayashi thing. I think MLE probably was like, that's too much. I don't want... Another competition on Netflix is a big problem for the MLE.

55And they're going to blow them out of the water. Oh, my God. Netflix is going to... The ratings on that will be huge. And not that ESPN doesn't sort of bring a crowd, but I think people are tuning in for Kobayashi. Absolutely. This is Joey Chestnut. The men's odds, Kevin, without Joey Chestnut are the three guys at the top are Jeffrey Esper, Nick Wiry, and James Webb. I got Jeffrey Esper. Okay. That's my guy. Yeah. I'm familiar generally with Nick Wiry, I think his name is. He's the guy that maybe does face paint on his, but I don't know. I don't know. But yeah, I mean, I guess the question is, can Emily make stars maybe out of someone else?

33Like, I think my, Here's my two cents. They should go heavily on Miki Sudo. Absolutely. Because the women's competition, she's been dominating. She's a machine. She is the Joey Chestnut of women's hot talking companies. She does not fuck around, and she dominates. And as long as she's still in, women's sports never been hotter. So let's go Miki. And she has a child with a men's competitive eater. Hell yeah. So that child is potentially going to be LeBron James of competitive eating. That's right. So I'm now going to tune in for her more than I am going to tune in to the guys. But I'll be interested to see how MLE plays this.

15I hope and expect them to take a couple shots at Joey throughout the broadcast. I think they'll be taking unlimited shots at fake impossible meet. Yes, they will play this up in a very wrestling way. And so I'm here for this. I mean, the Labor Day event obviously doesn't have all the pomp and circumstance of July 4th. But, I mean, Netflix, they're going to do this well. I mean, this is must-see TV. It's fantastic. Everyone's been begging to see this matchup for almost a decade. I wonder what Kobayashi's sort of game looks like. It's been a while. Well, if you'll remember, in May of this year, he announced his retirement.

54Yeah. So he's getting back in the game. I hope he can compete. I hope he's not sort of – I hope he doesn't get blown out. by Jaws. But you never know. I think we'll see and something to keep an eye on. We'll be covering this. We'll have to do a breakdown episode after July 4th as we are the official podcast of the July 4th eating Nathan's, famous eating. Yeah, this is about brand partnerships. That's right. It's a brand story. Brand partnerships and content. What a better story. Nathan's versus Impossible, Joey versus Kobayashi. This is fantastic. This is all everything I wanted. You know who wins?

33America. Everyone. Everyone wins. Speaking of America, Kevin, Hulk Hogan is here with a real American beer. One Nation Under Beer. This story comes from the die line. And Hulk Hogan, who I haven't been thinking about a lot lately, but he is launching his very own beer, which this feels like probably should have done this 25, maybe 30 years ago. But never late. And no better time than now. And we've got some great quotes from Hulk himself. He said, I got this crazy idea for a beer. I see the whole country being divided and diverse. I see this huge opening like the Red Sea parting. Everybody's on one side.

23Everyone's on the other side. I got an idea for a beer that it doesn't matter if you're Republican or Democrat. It doesn't matter what sex you are. It doesn't matter what race you are, where you're from or what you believe in. I've got a beer that's going to bring America back together one beer at a time. And that's called Hulk Hogan's Real American Beer, brother. Yes. We are more alike than we are different, but we really need to sit down and have a conversation. So that's why Hulk Hogan's Real American Beer, brother, is going to bring America back together one beer at a time. Woo. You know, Kevin?

01when it comes crashing down and it hurts inside, it's time for all American Hulk Hogan beer. Yeah. What do you think, Kevin? What do you got? I don't know. Yeah, not for you? If I were to make a call, I'd say this beer is going to be trash. But I don't know. I'm happy for – Hogan? I guess I'm happy for professional wrestlers still putting their name out there. Although I am more of a Ric Flair cannabis line enthusiast. yeah man this one's this one's tough i mean i i'm not personally gonna support this brand i don't i don't think so either uh he's definitely republican right trump guy yeah i mean they ruled this out on fox news yeah he also had some like there was also some more quotes and stuff that that like oh you know sorry they start like getting a little bit more politicized and then at the end it's kind of like oh okay what the hell sorry i have a couple more quotes i think I think you're right.

57It gets a little bit darker as we go on. People are tired of being separated. People are tired of being divisive. He continued, you know, we all want the same thing. We all want a good life. We all want like a good life, affordable food, closing the border and bringing God back into schools. Jeez. Whoa, that took a turn. yeah i mean he he's turning the heel that escalated quickly i mean i didn't think uh hogan wasn't uh america first guy yeah but uh yikes it is funny to like to be like oh we're gonna bring the country together yeah we're we're apolitical but i'm gonna be massively political yeah i'm gonna just say the most political shit ever at the end yeah i don't mean to be political but yeah i want to bring people together but we also want to close the border and talk about god in school so yeah no no no no um you know what this really doesn't work kevin why packaging sucks yeah i mean the quotes and the uh you know sort of the uh positioning here yes uh we got some holes there but uh the packaging is not great it's got this like weird animation of uh hulk hogan some some illustration of him where he looks like super coked out and like very muscular and not that he's not muscular, but I don't know what era this is of Hogan, but it's not today and it's not the 90s and he's holding a flag.

21It's very weird. And it says real American beer on it. So I'm out on this one. Yeah, I'm out on this one as well. Yeah. Oof. Yikes. That's a tough one. Speaking of American products, Kevin, did you see that Trump has his very own hydration partnership? With the good people over at Prime. Oh, the good people at Prime. So Trump did an interview at Mar-a-Lago with Logan Paul, and he was holding in his hand a little Trump Prime. So the packaging has Prime with stars in it and stripes, and it says Trump in big letters at the top. Another oof. Yikes. What do we make of this? Uh, it's, it's true. This is not skibbity toilet.

17I'll tell you that right now. This is not great. Uh, I mean, listen, here's the thing. Michael Jordan famously said Republicans wear sneakers too. And I guess to a certain extent, not every brand needs to be on both sides. But when you take a side, it becomes political. And I don't know that prime taking a political side is good for business because there are 50 % of the people. I'm just thinking, I'm just talking numbers. Yeah, just numbers. There's 50 % of the people that hate that guy. And there are 50 % of the people that love that guy. So you're taking a pretty hard stand that you're going after the 50 % of people that love that guy.

02And that is, that's a decision. That's a choice. you know that's a choice that they are clearly making by bringing a one-of-one Trump prime to Mar-a-Lago can I ask a question Kevin what I haven't seen this much is this story not bubbling up is this not a story that people are talking about because I've seen this picture of prime shout out to the timeline this is where I saw it I haven't seen it in the news like I haven't seen it on my feeds I haven't seen it like well I mean hopefully it's just like let's just not uh go do this let's just let's just not acknowledge this and maybe it'll go away because i don't think i mean fuck prime i mean prime sucks it's you know got a bunch of bs in it like it's a bad product and i'm i'm sure one day it'll come crashing down from you know class action lawsuit when it comes crashing down and it hurts inside yeah i mean i think i agree with you but i'm just thinking about in terms of hype and hoopla and culture like yeah i really haven't seen this trump sneakers went crazy.

03We're talking SNL. Everyone's talking about the gold sneakers. Everyone is involved and engaged with that story. This is a political candidate endorsing one of the top beverages in the market right now and having a custom flavor. For as big as that Bud Light story went, I don't see the story going places. I don't see people talking about this. I'm just confused about that. Because it feels like a big deal. Maybe we're just not outraged because it's kind of like, I don't know. We're not that outraged. It's not a shock. I don't know. I'm not shocked by this. Me neither. I'm not like, yeah, I agree.

45It's not the most surprising thing in the world. But the surprising part to me is that people aren't talking about this. And that, you know, because Prime is now in classrooms and kids all across the country are drinking it. I know it's cooled down since, you know, last year where it was sort of like, you know, South Park fodder. but it's still in every supermarket. Kids still love Prime. Kids are addicted to Prime. So I don't know. I just don't understand why people are talking about this. It's such a political decision that like, I don't know. It's like as if Nike or Adidas or someone made Trump sneakers.

17Like I just don't, like that would be a huge story. I don't know why Prime making Prime Trump flavored America, you know, sports drinks is not a big deal. So yeah, I don't know what to tell you. Yeah, hopefully it's maybe just because there's bigger shit going on and people don't like. Yeah, sure. But we're talking about like Justin Timberlake getting arrested. And like there's plenty of stuff that people are talking about that don't matter. True. But like, I don't know. I'm just surprised that this isn't the biggest story in the world or like at least 10 times more buzzy than it is. Yeah, maybe we're just fatigued.

54I know we're fatigued. I'm fatigued. We're all fatigued. We're all tired. Speaking of fatigued, Jake Paul. The other Paul brother. So one Paul brother's got a partnership with Trump. The other Paul brother did a partnership with Red Antler. No. I don't know if you want to. That's the story I'm reading here, Kevin. I mean, it's a partnership with Walmart. Oh, Walmart. Sorry. Body wash, body spray, and deodorant all under$10 called W. George W. Bush inspired? Or is it just because Jake Paul keeps winning? It's winning. I will say the packaging looks great. So I'll give them some credit here. The packaging looks cool.

32I like the color. I like the W sort of script thing. It's cool. It's well done. Jake Paul said, young men today have the lowest confidence and self-esteem compared to older generations. That's why they need the W, the men's care product. He didn't say that. But he did say that men today have the lowest self-confidence and self-esteem compared to older generations the brand name is inspired by a slang for a win w jesus christ i mean who is going to use this people who shop at walmart i guess so i mean i feel like i mean the the paul brothers have an enormous reach with like younger generations like gen alpha and even like Gen Z, like the younger depths of Gen Z.

24So like, I don't know, like middle America, people who shop at Walmart and get their things at Walmart, this is going to be probably a massive hit for them. Getw.com for the win. I mean, listen, here's the thing, and this is why I'm going to give credit to Red Antler. The brand looks pretty good. If it didn't have Jake Paul connected to it, I think it would be a lot better. It looks like Axe Body Spray, but I also I commend them like they didn't put Jake Paul like he's in all the ads and he's in all the photography but on the packaging itself like there's no mention of him and uh you know the neon the black and the silver it all looks pretty good so uh from a design perspective I'm I I can't hate on this yeah the packaging look yeah right so the name is interesting I mean I like the name the name the name works uh the name works really well yeah so you know mad props on that yeah whoever came up with that like that's good work good for them and listen i'm not hating on any of this i'm saying that it's uh yeah it's it i'm just reading the facts jake paul launches a personal body care brand w by red antler exclusive at walmart that's the story that's story there it is uh last story of the day kevin adobe is uh deceiving subscriptions that are too hard to cancel.

43This story comes from TheVerge.com. Are you familiar with Adobe? Yeah. We love them. I'm shocked. They're the best. We can't thank them enough for the career, for the work that we are able to do every single day because of Adobe software. We should be locked in forever on our subscriptions. Here's the thing, Kevin. There's a lawsuit going on saying that people, that they hide the text boxes and the links that make it hard for people to cancel. Here's my question. Why are you trying to cancel? Adobe forever. Adobe for life. What are you even saying here? They're making it too erroneous and complicated.

26They just don't want you to tap out. They want you to lock in and get the work done. That's right. Why are you trying to get out of here? The greatest software in the history of design is made by Adobe. be what where are you trying to get out of i don't know that's all i'm saying so uh it is funny i was reading this and the first thing that popped in my mind with like trying to close out it just made me think about like illegally streaming sports and like what they do and like how they hide their like yeah links and links and links oh totally how you gotta click you gotta click the x like three times it's funny to see big tech um yeah you know resort to that level i i do have a personal story and I will share it, which is I did have to cancel some Adobe subscriptions and, uh, because, uh, we just had too many for our company.

12And, uh, I did experience that it was quite difficult to get out of them. Uh, they do in fact hide these, uh, links and these buttons. Uh, and so this article is spot on. Sorry, Adobe. We love you. We don't want to leave. I only just need the amount of subscriptions for the amount of employees I have. Sorry, I'm not trying to leave. I'm trying to stay forever. I'm never going anywhere. But you do make it a little bit hard. And I do think there's something particularly evil about hiding your subscription cancellation sort of abilities. This is not just an Adobe thing. This is like a lot of brands that are DTC that sort of have people on subscription models, and they purposely make it really hard for you to get out of it.

00Yeah. So this is, I just think generally this is a problem. And Adobe is one of many companies probably that would like you to not cancel. And in fact, they make it difficult for you too. So I do think the Joe Biden needs to step in and make sure that those links are clickable and easy to access. Because you know what happens, Kevin? People like me, you know, busy guys working on a lot of stuff, got a lot of things going on. I don't got time to go and try to search for the cancel. Like, make it easy. Make it easy for me to do what I need to do as a boss here. And I love you, Adobe. I'm never leaving.

40I'm never going anywhere. But just, you know, make my life a little bit easier. Yeah, help them out. You know, AI is so sort of spectacular in what it enables people to do. Just make that cancel button just a little bit more easy to be clicked. Is that too much to ask? I just want a clickable button. Yeah. I'd love to see the data on how many like dead unused subscriptions there are just rotting away at like, you know. Millions. Yeah. Millions. And I would love to see the amount of people like time spent on subscription model adjustment like pages or like search searches in their sort of like Adobe console search engine for like how to cancel subscription.

24And like I'm sure they're aware that this is not an easy process. those people if it's a class action you might get a little kickback Alex listen I'm here's the thing I love Adobe I would never speak out against them but if there's some money in it I'm willing to tell my story Alex will testify I'm willing to testify um and uh yeah listen I love you Adobe I love you Nathans and I love you Walmart I love all of the great people that make up this nation and Kevin it's been an honor and a pleasure and I hope you have the best time in Hawaii Surf's up dude we'll get the full report when you hang 10 and come back Death
