0:00I will watch this documentary though. I will. I will gladly watch. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's going to be a lit documentary. The Diddy Doc. The Diddy Doc? Yeah. Netflix already Greenland. Oh, for sure. You know, they're... I think even Hulu goes faster. The only ones that go faster than Netflix is Hulu. Like, they get, like, TMZ. They have some relationship with TMZ or, you know, ABC or whatever. Dude, there'll be a story on, like, a Monday, and then there'll be something on Hulu, like... I don't like it. The inside story. And you're like, what? I don't like that. How did they do this so fast? I think everyone needs to let things marinate and let things percolate.

0:33Yeah. I think we need to pump the brakes. Not everything needs a documentary immediately. Does Billie Eilish need a documentary? What is she doing? Release two albums? That's not documentary worthy yet. No, but you're confusing documentary with marketing. Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, everything's marketing. Billie Eilish's documentary and every musician's documentary is just marketing for that artist and that album put out by them. Yeah, I guess the people do album docs all the time. So I'm not going to get mad. It's a new form of promotion. But I just don't think we need like, do we need a new documentary every fucking week?

1:10Yes.

1:16Ready? Three, two, one. Kevin.

1:23How are you? Good. You're on your phone. We're doing a podcast here. I'm on your phone, actually. Oh, that's - I got the topics up. Okay, okay, okay. Just looked like you were fucking scrolling over there. We're fucking recording the podcast. Born at podcast. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Watch your family guy over here. We're back. Back in the New York groove. We took a week off, and we're going to do that sometimes, guys. That's just - Yeah, that's just our boundaries. Announcements. News. Breaking news. We're going to try to do roughly three episodes a month. We've been doing it once a week. It's been challenging.

1:56We have jobs. But we love doing the pod and we want to try to put it out every week. But new plan is we're going to take one week off a month and do three pods. And we're communicating with you because that's the key to a great relationship, Kevin. Communication. Sure. That's what they say. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Please don't get mad at us when we take a week off. We communicated this. If you get mad at us, we're going to gaslight you. Yeah, that's right. Exactly. I will personally gaslight you. Yeah, we'll send you this clip and we'll be like, hey, we communicated. and that's how great relationships are.

2:30You sound so crazy right now. Did you not listen to our last episode? Me? Why would you not listen to our last episode? Oh, yeah, yeah. Sorry, that's gaslighting. I thought I was getting gaslit for a second. I was like, oh, man, me? I listen to every episode. But yeah, if you... That's Cap. Yeah, no, it's not. I listen to them all. I listen to 98 % of them, 95, 90%. I listen to nine out of every 10 episodes. And listen, I'm just doing the best I can out here. And I just need to set some boundaries. And we're doing the best we can. But we appreciate you guys for getting upset or caring. So tell us when we don't have an episode that you're upset.

3:09And that will make us feel good. And then we'll gaslight you. And then we'll gaslight you, but we'll feel good that you miss us. Yes, exactly. And yeah, that's how a relationship works. Yeah. Sure. Yeah, yep, yep, yep. But we did put out the bat signal to some guests, some great ones. And so they're starting to hit the sketch. Yeah. Makes me realize how bad at planning I am. Oh, why? Because things are happening and we have a calendar now? Yeah. Yeah. It's pretty wild, man. I just got a busy summer. I don't have any plans. Oh, shit. Well, this is what happens when you stop skiing, Kevin. You don't know what to do.

3:48Well, you know. What are you going to do now? Go ski. Oh, but it's summer. It's spring. Springtime. There's one last storm. But I'm not going to make it up. There's not one last storm. Yeah, there's this weekend. This weekend? Yeah. It's going to be like 65. Thursday to... No, it's supposed to snow on Thursday here. But it's supposed to be... They're calling for a lot of snow in some places. That's not happening. Look, it's beautiful out there. There's no way it's going to snow. Dude, I'm telling you, they're calling... I've heard some 30-inch reports. Wow. Those are... That's a lot of inches.

4:20I will not be going up, unfortunately. Yeah. Call it quits on the season? You're done? I just have weekend obligations that I can't miss. Okay. Well, Kevin. Because I'll lose money on them. We've been off for two weeks, I guess. Any updates? Not really. I went skiing two weeks ago. It was great. Yep. Ate a bunch of food. Nothing good. Just like high volume. eating wings, burger, side salad, beer, watching basketball. Basketball has been good. Basketball has been good. Both men's and women's basketball. Caitlin Clark is electric. I watched the second half last night because I was like, I want to see what all this fuss is about.

5:07And Caitlin Clark, she's her. Caitlin Clark's been doing really good for me on the books. Okay, that's good to know. That's good to know. Honestly, she just started draining through. And the second I started watching, I was like, oh, let me see. And let me check it out. And I just watched her Steph Curry style, like one, two dribble fucking threes from the logo. Electric. Electric. And fun to watch. And she's amazing. The real deal. Men's tournament's great, too. DJ Burns Jr. Oh, yeah. What an animal. Big guy. Yeah, big guys. Big fella. Doing big fella things. Yeah, love to see that. Mets are off to a hot start, Kevin.

5:40Yep. 0-4? 0-4. Or 0-3 or 0-4? 0-4. Yeah. 0-4, yeah. Not looking great. Reds are 3-1. Which is sad because I was just about to buy a new Mets hat. No, you should buy it. As a hatsman, I was like, ooh, I should get a new Mets hat for opening day in 0-4. Don't you have a fitted? It's old. Oh, it's old. I'm going to upgrade and get a new. That's good. So you'll see that one coming soon. Kevin, we owe Kate Middleton an apology. Oof, yeah, this is a bad one. Yeah. So it turns out that Kate Middleton has cancer. Whoops. This is awkward. I guess that's why she's been MIA. Yeah. I think it's a good reminder for everyone, everyone on the Internet to, you know, let's just chill.

6:27Let's just chill out on being online and deeming people body doubles. Yeah. I guess she didn't get that BBL. Yeah. Yeah. Which is looking back on it, not not not our finest moment as a as a community, as a society. Yeah. I mean, I don't think we said anything too messed up. No. Definitely a bummer. I wish she did have a BBO. Jesus Christ. Yeah, I mean, I think you're right. It's like one of those stories that teaches us to not jump to conclusions on the internet and maybe give it a little bit of time to see where the story goes and before we start shaming or start sort of speculating on what's going on here.

7:11Yeah. do we think we'll learn from this Kevin? no I don't think so either I don't think we'll learn much at all but I think as time goes on you start to look back at some of these moments like remember when people were weight shaming like Chadwick Boseman and then he died that was fucking shit like that you're like whoa we should just pump the brakes on the internet everyone's got a chill yeah we should just turn off the internet for at least a couple hours every day We should just have a certain time of day. It's like, okay, we're turning off and we'll be opening in in the morning. You would say that.

7:47Yeah, dude. We need a little less internet. Or people just need to calm down a little bit and stop jumping. I think people should just calm themselves down. Okay. Well, can the society not regulate itself, Kevin? I mean, I would like to think that they can. But you want this intervention. You want somebody else to. You want a godlike figure to come down and make the rules. Yeah, we need an internet intervention. That's true. You're advocating for Joe Biden to come and shut the internet off. Listen, there's one man for the job, and his name is Joe. And he's definitely going to make the world a better place, for sure.

8:23Definitely. 100%. Kevin, I watched episode three of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Wow. Titled Vertical Drop Horizontal Tug. And I'm back in. I'm back in. And thank you for continuing. You pushed me. towards the light. Are you going to watch for next week so we can recap? Are you going to get caught up by next week? No promises. No promises. Not even for the pod? You're not even going to live? You're not even going to catch up and watch the finale? No one wants this. No one's like, oh man, I can't wait to hear what Alex thinks about episode four next week. I don't think that's what people are looking for.

8:57Well, yeah, no, they want to hear what you think about the finale. Oh, is the finale next week? Yeah. Okay, sorry. That's what I'm saying. I got a lot to catch up on. Not really. it's like you got 10 episodes or so you've already watched three so that means you have seven left okay there's only 10 and then the finale there's only 10 with the finale oh there's only 10 episodes in the final season i think so yeah okay what do we know you know the more you know uh larry's still the goat though yeah it's great if is it airing this sunday you're saying the finale okay i believe i believe so okay you're right i should catch up that's right i'm sorry for doubting you and doubting you i'm sorry for doubting larry yeah because he still got it you were doubting larry And I'm sorry, Larry David.

9:36And it just goes to show. Leon is one of the greatest television characters of all time. I'm going to be sad to see that. The character, yeah. Well, I'm going to be sad to see that rapport go, that back and forth. It's amazing. All time. They're the best. Susie right beside them. Right behind them. Yeah, Susie's great. Susie is. They just make me laugh. Anytime Larry and really it's like, Larry's great, of course, but it's like when you have Susie and Leon in a scene together and it's just, it's just amazing. It's just, it's just what a, what a wonderful combination of, of amazing comedians, actors, et cetera.

10:12It's a great series. Yeah. Really good. You know what else is great series, Kevin? The Gerard Carmichael reality show. Have you seen this? I saw a preview for it. Yeah. And, uh, so I was, I was, uh, dancing around the max app clearly on, uh, on the weekend. Max Maxon. Yeah. It was Max and Maxon. cool. Uh, watching curb. And then the Gerard Carmichael reality show had a first episode. It was the only one on available. And I was like, I love Gerard Carmichael. I love reality shows. So let me hit play. And the show starts with him on stage admitting that he fell in love with his best friend. And he said 10 out of 10 would not recommend.

10:56And it turns out that best friend was Tyler, the creator. Wow. And he told Tyler that he fell in love with him. And Tyler's response was like, shut up, you're so stupid. Okay. And then that made Gerard Carmichael feel really bad. And so a year later, because it's really awkward, he sits him down for an interview in a hotel room the day before he won his Emmy. to have a conversation with Tyler about him communicating his feelings and feeling rejected and how awkward it's been. It's really, really captivating television. Check it out. Check it out. Really well done. And it's... Yeah, Gerard is a genius.

11:42So I really thought the first episode was fantastic. Nice. He's self-trimming himself. That's what he said. Trim and showing himself. And it feels that way. It's like he's just putting cameras around him and just kind of like documenting his life. And I highly recommend. Front Center Seal of Approval. Yeah. Watch that show. Stamp it in. Stamp it in. Anything else coming before we get into the week and branding and news? I don't think so. Let me look at the doc. Oh, I watched that Nickelodeon Quiet on the Set documentary. Oh, yeah. Was it dark? Yeah, not a fun watch. Oh, I got a, you know, Firefest for me is.

12:21Oh, what do you got? So I guess I can't really go by Pickle Boy anymore, right? Because that was not a point of an all that character that was maybe a bit problematic. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Pickle Boy was a character from all that. Yeah. And I had forgotten about that character. Yeah. I'll be honest. I was a Nickelodeon kid for sure. Yeah. But I was a little bit younger, but I did watch all that for sure. I watched all that too. Yeah. And great idea for a show. SNL for kids. Come on. Yeah. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant stuff. But it turns out a lot of bad things happened to those kids. Yeah, that's a tough one.

12:58Yeah, it turns out being a child TV star, also not great. Yeah, it turns out it's not that good. It turns out bad for most of them. Yep. Not great. So I watched it, but I don't know if I'd recommend that one. I got a wreck. I listened to the Drake album Take Care on the way back, and it ripped. It's fucking awesome. From 2011? Yeah. That one. Cool. Yeah. Yeah, that was such a good album. I ran Make Me Proud back at least four times. Oh, dude. Fucking. That's such a good fucking song. Dude, Lord Knows. I probably listen to Lord Knows once a month. Yeah, it's a good album. So I might be going on a bit of a Drake.

13:40Ooh, a Drake. A Drake Bender? Yeah, maybe. I don't know. I kind of fell off after Take Care, to be honest. You're a lot like Anita Max Wynn. You know? That's what I think of you and Anita in the same way. Listen, I. you need a max win I've been doing alright you've been doing some gambling you use the stake app no I don't use stake I'm a draft king uh take care is best is Drake's best album yeah um it's it's it's he'll probably never put out an album that great again well yeah I mean he just doesn't have that dog in him anymore yeah it's like every he's got a max win every rapper has that moment and that moment is take care and he's got other good albums like i'll go back and listen to if you're reading this it's too late that kind of like i don't know it was an album but it was it was fucking banger yeah that shit goes that's when like 2015 so drake uh you know legend legend of the game legend of the game and his latest albums haven't done it for me but go listen to take care yeah yeah it's good fucking rules uh anything else go no did you see any good april fool's day jokes so yesterday was April Fool's Day.

14:48Or two days ago, sorry, April Fool's Day. Did anyone get you real good? No one got me on April Fool's Day. I didn't get you with my fake resignation letter. You didn't even send it to me, Kevin. No, I know. No, no one really got me. Here's the thing, Kevin. Honestly, I think brands have ruined April Fool's Day. Brands ruin everything. That's not true. I think brands are great, but brands have, we have to have an intervention. Internet intervention on hold. April Fool's Day intervention is happening right now. Sure. Okay. April Fool's was once a fun little holiday, and you would play a trick on your friend and be like, hey, man, I'm quitting.

15:26Can I talk to you for a minute outside? Say, hey, man, I'm quitting. Ha, ha, ha. April Fool's, right? Something stupid, something you do with your loved ones, make them sort of fall for it and say April Fool's, and that was that, right? Now it's turned into this premier branding touch point where if your brand isn't coming out with some fucking fried chicken flavored water or some hot sauce flavored eye drops like you're not in the fucking game sriracha toothpaste yeah it's like fucking stop the madness yeah shout out to mr wonderful like we need to stop we just need to like we we've we've hit the peak you know everyone's got ai now so you can make any crazy dumb idea reality at least visually and it's just not fun anymore yeah just hold on we're going home yeah just stop it stop it we we get it like We all have dumb ideas and we can sort of put our dumb brains into AI and put it on the internet and people will fucking spread it around.

16:17But stop it. It's just become this weird fake product day. If we're going to change the name, it's like National Fake Branded Product Day. And so, yeah, we just – I don't know. Is this going to go on forever and ever and ever? Absolutely. we're just going to keep doing this every April Fool's Day and every brand is going to do some dumb idea and put it out there that's what brands do we were made for this shit I did see one really good one I want to give some flowers did you see Scotch by Scotch? is that the one you're going to talk about? no, the one I'm going to talk about is by the Empire State Building social media what they do they claimed that they were going to put a rainforest cafe at the top which like brilliant, wow no, I mean I was kind of pumped for it because I was like, damn, New York City really needs a Rainforest Cafe.

17:08That would be fucking lit. Yeah, for sure. I'd be there on at least two birthdays a year for friends. Yeah, especially if it's at the top of the Empire State Building. Yeah, I was thinking maybe it was – I didn't read it entirely in the beginning. I just saw Empire State Building, Rainforest Cafe, and I was like, oh, fuck yeah, and then it was April 1st. Wow. You got got. I got got a little bit, but I wanted to believe. It was a case where I just really wanted to believe that that was true and that was happening. Yeah. I mean, I guess that's the fun part is like if you actually get got. I think that's the part about April Fool's Day that also sucks now is like I can tell.

17:44Like you don't get got anymore. You just kind of like, oh, it's April Fool's Day. That's everything. Everything's just so saturated. And it's just so obvious. You're just so dumb. Scotch by Scotch is my personal April Fool's Day champion. Scotch, the tape brand, introduced Scotch, a whiskey. but like actually they should actually do it yeah that's the fucking thing it's like launch these for real you cowards launch it wouldn't be that hard for scotch like scotch is a fucking like billion dollar company like make a have a run of whiskey and give it to some people like it's not that bad it's not that hard you literally can get whiskey and just white label it and just like put your branding on the front which you did here's my big thought for april fool's day brand psa to brands launch these products any other day than april 1st if scotch puts out scotch tape a scotch tape puts out scotch whiskey on fucking october 29th it's it's a story and people talk about it because it's a great idea don't put it on april 1st and get it fucking lost you want to prolong the fools no i want these brands to do these things for real and not do it on April Fool's.

18:54So you want brands to act like fools more often. Correct. Yes. Yeah, be a fool on any other day. You know? 7-Eleven, hot dog flavored seltzer. Great idea. Launch that. Not on April Fool's. Well, they've made some of them and they sent them to people. Yeah, that's cool. Make that a flavor. Put it in your stores and launch it some other time of the year. That's a great idea. And then what? On April 1st, you say April Fool's? No, just sit out April Fool's. Let everyone else do it. Like, let them do their shitty ideas. But, like, if you actually have a good idea, like hot dog flavored seltzer water, and you're going to partner with Miracle Seltzer, a great brand, and do something cool and your packaging is kind of fire, like, don't do this as, like, a bit.

19:37Do this for real and make it, like, not fall into the trap of all these other lame ideas that brands are doing. Yeah, don't be a fool. Yeah, don't be a fool. Be a fool when it's not cool to be a fool. That's fact. Yeah, yeah. Adidas launched a shoe box that looked like a shoe. That's not even an April Fool's joke. That's just a good idea. That's an April Fool's Day? They're just like, oh, check out this idea. Gotcha. Gotcha. What's the gotcha there? I don't know. It just looks like a box that they're saying is blurring the line between product and packaging. It's a statement piece that elevates every look.

20:10You love doing that. You love blurring that line. Yeah. Fucking that's what every brand is trying to do. It took a page right out of your book, Alex. I just don't understand. It's not a stretch. to like, it's, it's, are they saying that people are going to wear that as a shoe? Oh, that's, that's okay. That's dumb. But that should be the shoe box. Just launch that shit. I don't, I just don't understand. Like, that's not funny or like, that's not a gotcha. That's not a, that doesn't apply. That's just a, nobody was got. No one thought that that was funny or cool or I don't, I just don't understand it.

20:40Did, did all I pop get you with the sour cream and onion flavored soda? Yeah, they should launch that. That's a good idea. Yeah. That's a good partnership. Everyone loves sour cream and onion fucking Pringles. Put out the fucking soda. Yeah, do it. Come on, Ollipop. Do it. I did think that the Fruity Pebble mac and cheese by Kraft, I thought that could actually play. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. All these can play. All these ideas can play. A shoebox that looks like a shoe, an Ollipop sour cream and onion chip, a hot dog flavored sparkling water scotch by scotch and fucking mac and cheese fruity pebbles and rainforest cafe and rainforest put in the empire state building yeah put it in the empire state building that would be so hard that would be the fucking sickest thing ever especially as at the top yeah i just don't think how think how lit that would be just going to like a get some rooftop cocktails at the at the at the cafe yeah dude of course yeah who wouldn't want a quesadilla surrounded by plants Damn right.

21:38Yeah, come on, dude. It'd be so humid in there. Yeah, it'd be sick. You'd see some sort of like pelican somewhere. Yeah. You know, that's sick. A high-class Rainforest Cafe. That'd be awesome. Yeah. No, I mean, listen, we need more themed restaurants. I'd pay$20 for a cocktail at the Rainforest Cafe at the top of the Empire State Building. I would gladly pay that. And I'd pay$30 for a quesadilla just for the ambiance. Yeah. Did you see that there's a new restaurant called The Frog Club? That's just like a fancy rainforest cafe. Apparently they put a thing over your phone so you can't take pictures, and it's very expensive, and they give you really shitty wings.

22:17I heard it's ass. That sucks. I'm not going there. What's it, L.A. trying to be New York? Literally, it's from the creators of Horses, the place where that guy was killing those cats. Remember that story? Is it the guy? I don't know. Is it the husband or the wife of that team? I don't know who is behind the frog club. I'm not a fucking, we're not a restaurant fucking podcast, Kevin. We're a branding podcast. You know, I think it maybe goes to show you maybe the partner dynamics of that relationship is when you strip one from the other, you strip the cat guy away from his maybe more practical wife.

22:56And they either makes the restaurant, you know, it's ass. It's from the wife. So the man was the one struggling with the cats. The wife is the one opening up. No edge. The Frog Club. There's no edge to it. What you're saying, Kevin, is fuck the Frog Club. Open up a rainforest cafe. Yeah. That's what the world really wants. Yeah, right. I mean, nobody wants to go eat. Nobody wants to have a New York experience that's curated by an L.A. person who just moved back to New York or whatever. That's the dumbest thing ever. Yeah. I think what's funny, for me, I was a little bit into the exclusivity kind of mysteriousness.

23:30Yeah, you would be. Yeah, I like that kind of shit. Sure, millennial. Because I'm like, ooh, this sounds intriguing and weird. And they put a thing on your phone, and that's funny and cool, and I wonder what it's like. But then I heard they had really skinny wings, like wings with not a lot of chicken on the bone, and I was immediately out. I was like, fuck this. Not having that. That's very New York and LA. It's like, come on. Skimpy, skimpy, skimpy. Skimpy wings? No. No, absolutely not. Kevin, I was debating going to Buffalo for the solar eclipse next week because it is in the path of totality.

24:01You should go. I mean, it just happens to be my wife's birthday. I mean, that's sick. It's more the reason to go fucking... I know, I know. Go see it in totality. We're thinking about it. I mean, you could go... You don't have to go as far as... I mean, you could go to Buffalo. You could go to Syracuse. I was looking at that. Yeah, you go to Syracuse. You go to Burlington, Vermont. Okay. How far is the closest destination you can go? I'd say probably Syracuse. Yeah, it's like four hours. Yeah, you probably got to go at least four. I was in the path the last time this happened. This was probably like, what, 10 years ago?

24:31Maybe. It's 2017. Okay, whatever. Seven years ago? Yeah. I was there, and I experienced it. Was it cool? It was pretty cool. I mean, not to break any news for you, it gets dark in the middle of the day, and pitch black dark, like it's 2, 3 in the morning. Sounds like we should just call work off next Monday. And it was pretty cool, but it happens fast. You know, that's kind of the thing. Do you have your glasses? Of course, man. You got to have the glasses. You can't just like... Did you order them already? Oh, for this year? No, I'm not. I don't know. You're just going to take it in? You're going to be like Donald Trump?

25:06I'll just stare at the sun? I don't know. We'll see. I got my glasses, so I'm ready. You ready for it? Yeah. You ready for it? I'm fucking ready. Are you going to the path? Yeah. I mean, it would be a good weekend to go skiing and then just stay up there. That's what I'm saying. It's not that far. I know. You have a car, so you could do it. I could do it. I just have a tattoo appointment on Saturday that I can't miss. You can't miss? I can't miss it, yeah. Well, it's on Monday. I know, but yeah. Okay. Listen, I'm not going to... I don't know. We'll see. I would think about it. I don't know. You know what I think is cool about the solar eclipse?

25:39The term path of totality. Yeah. I just like saying it. That is cool. It sounds cool. Well, you're the one who cut all the solar eclipse talk. Yeah. I mean, we're going to talk about it next week because brands are doing shit for the solar eclipse and brands are doing stuff for April Fool's. We have to make a choice. Yeah. We can talk about it. The eclipse stuff is... I guess the brand activations aren't even that cool. No. They're just doing space shit. Yeah. Like moon stuff. Well, yeah. get your glasses if you don't have your glasses. I know, but you gotta, I gotta get them. You gotta get them.

26:04Well, I'm sure I can get them from Amazon. I'm sure I can get them by like three o 'clock. I kind of want to like buy a bunch from Amazon and just walk around, walk around New York, you know, probably make, yeah, at least probably make a killing. 15 bucks, you know, probably. Yeah, 10 bucks a pop. You probably could. Some people like me. They're like, they're like$2 on Amazon. Yeah, there you go. This is a brilliant idea, Kevin. It's a business. Hit the streets. Yeah. Just be on the corner of Greenpoint Ave and just be like, you know, 15 bucks for a pair 20 bucks 20 bucks for a pair yeah i think i think you could probably sell yeah i mean these five walk around transmitter park oh yeah but karen even there's gonna be people doing that oh 100 yeah if you don't do that other people are gonna be doing that so um kevin it's all for you uh the only thing i think the worse than uh april fool's day is brands that launch real things on April Fool's Day.

26:55I saw that, what was it? Velveeta launched a hair dyeing thing with Julia Fox, and it's like a real product. That's kind of cool. I like that collaboration. Yeah, I agree. It's kind of cool. Why do that on April 1st? Because it sounds like a fake product. Yeah. So you're going to launch a product that seems sort of fake on April Fool's Day? Yeah. That's really dumb. That's great. I mean, that's a good collab. Julia Fox rips. She's cool. Yeah. No, I agree. I mean, it makes a lot of sense. And the hair color probably looks sweet. Yeah, she's known for her hair. And so I think, listen, good for Julia Fox, get that bag.

27:36We have to talk about Smartwater because I think, you know, as someone who worked on this brand for over 10 years, it's really cool to see them launch Smartwater in a can. Smartwater has historically been in plastic. And, you know, Liquid Death, a brand you may have heard of, a brand we may have talked about on the show, has been thriving for a couple of years in cans. And I haven't seen a ton of brands make the shift to cans, like traditionally plastic water brands. And Smart Water is doing it. And it looks awesome. Like the design is really perfect. It looks really clean and simple. And the blue tall can looks like the bottle.

28:19It's awesome. It's really well done. shout out to the designers whoever's behind it I don't know it's not listed here but I just can't wrap my head around why you would launch Smart Water in a can on April 1st it's a product that kind of looks fake but is very real and like this is the international fake product day so if your product is a new like just all brands should know Do not launch anything on April 1st unless it's one of these fucking fake tricks. Unless it's a fake product. Yeah. You're launching a scotch by scotch. Do that. Or fried chicken prime. That's what you do on April 1st. Don't launch a real innovation.

29:09The coolest thing the brand's done in 10 years probably. Yeah. Now it's getting lost in the fools. That's what I'm saying. It's just a fool. It's a real fool lost amongst the crowd. And yeah, you hate to see it. And it makes me sad because I love that brand. It's a great brand. I want to try it. Shout out to Coca-Cola. You're saying that makes you sound. Yeah. I mean, I, I, I, I feel deeply for brands, Kevin. I don't know if you know this, but my relationship for brands is, uh, I have a lot of relationships, brands. I love brands that mean something to me and especially a brand that I worked on for a really long time.

29:42And I, I still care about it. I still got feelings. Wow. Yeah. Sound like Drake. Uh-huh. And, uh, So when I saw this can for the first time, I was like, you know, beautiful, gorgeous, excellent, great idea, smart. Yeah. Would you say that you're so proud of Smartwater? I'm so proud of you. That's what I was thinking. And then you go and launch it on April 1st, and you're like, what the fuck is wrong with you? Can't you tell by - Get out of your own way. can't you tell by how they're looking at you everywhere you go we'll hunt it on any other day of the year any other day I mean I think this is going to do well I think people are going to like it I think it's brilliant I think it's going to taste like can probably that's my guess because water in a can kind of tastes like can but we'll see I haven't had it yet what do you think about this Alex more like dumb water you hear that one before that's so fucking original dude Dude, smart water You're pressed right now How does it make me smart?

30:48I don't know Dumb water It's more like dumb water You're pressed right now, dude Yeah, dude, I'm fucking angry Yeah Pissed Yeah, don't Pissed Note to self, don't talk trash about smart water Yeah, moving on, Kevin You know who's a brand that gets it? Balenciaga Oh, yeah, they get it They fucking get it, man They launched a bracelet that looks like a roll of tape What day did they launch it on? March 22nd They should have launched this on April Fool's Day. Because if you show up to this, you're a fucking fool. Dude. If you buy this. It's only$4 ,000, man. Come on. That's a fool. No, this is sick.

31:22It's a bracelet that looks like a roll of tape. Who hasn't taken a roll of tape and put it around their wrist? Yeah, I mean. Brilliant. We've all done that. But like$4 ,000? Yeah. This is a fool. It's Balenciaga. This is a fool tag. This is. No, this is sick. You might as well get fool tattooed on your fucking forehead. This is sick. I'm into this big time. I am a fool. Yeah. No, this is Balenciaga doing it right. Balenciaga is for fools. Yeah. Remember they turned a skirt from a towel? It was just a towel that was a skirt? Fool. Brilliant. Remember they made a bag of chips into a bag? I mean, that one was cool.

31:55That was sick. Fool or cool, Balenciaga. Yeah, now roll tape as a bracelet. Fool. Genius. Genius. I mean, oh, man. I was going to say. I respect the scam, though. I can't. I'm hating, but like. fashion i'm hating but like you're hating from outside the globe 4k for a roll of tape is crazy you sound a real broke right now yeah i am no broker now uh kevin we got rebrand of the week uh a topic and a uh a segment we did we're bringing it back we're bringing it back you know what's back rebrand of the week yeah it's back well yeah we finally started getting some traction on yeah we're doing we're doing them now it's the thing we're doing we started doing them in the very beginning of the podcast.

32:40We talk about rebrands and then we kind of stopped and now we're back. Yeah. Forgive me for being uncultured, but how do you say this brand? Manischewitz. Manischewitz. Manischewitz by JKR. If you're not familiar, Manischewitz is a kosher food brand that's been around for over 130 years. They sell traditional Jewish food like mansa, macaroons, egg noodles, gefilte fish, and cake mixes. They have a rebrand done by Jones Knowles Ritchie. Manischewitz is well known. And they are trying to reach a younger audience. And it's on brand new. The story comes from brand new under consideration. Oh, and also from the dialing.

33:22But I'm looking at the sort of brand new breakdown. And I just got to say, Kevin, as you know, I am a member of the tribe. And as a Jewish person, I can fairly and justly evaluate this work. Yeah, and I'm going to sit my dumb ass down and listen. Story time. So last week or two weeks ago, we praised JKR for their work. It was for Impossible Foods. If you didn't listen to the episode, tune in. And I stand by that. That was an incredible job. And, you know, JKR does really great work across the board. It's grade A meat, what they put out of that job. Sure. And they did a, you know, they're known for their rebrands.

34:09And I've said this many, many times that no one does the big giant rebrand better than them. Dunkin', Budweiser, Burger King, M &M's, Fanta, Domino's. Kill it. Every time. Correct? Kevin? Am I supposed to say yes? Yes, yes, they do. So they are at it again. and this, does it look great? It does. It does. It's got a lot of things that I love about design. It's simple. It's bold. It's got really cool, great type. It's got fun illustrations and it's all in orange, which happens to be my favorite color. Live, love, latke. Live, love, latke. Good copywriting. Yeah, great. Yeah. We love it. It's got all the pieces that make for good design.

35:00But here is my question to you, Kevin. does every brand need bold, modern, colorful design? What? Yeah, I guess. Well, let me ask that right back to you, Alex. Does every brand need bold? What did you say? Bold, colorful design? Modern, colorful design. Modern, colorful design? Yeah. As a man that is in the bold, modern, colorful design business, I think it looks great. But I think it feels weird and a little wrong for a brand that is such a historic cultural institution like Manischewitz to look this pretty and to look this kind of like modern. It just feels off to me. And so like you told me that they're not touching the wine.

35:51Yeah, that's what somebody told me. Because the wine, we're spreading fake news. But the wine to me is probably their most iconic product outside of the matzo. I feel like those two are the two heroes. And I think that's the right move to not touch the wine. But I almost think that they've done too much to this brand to make it more young and appeal to a new consumer. and I just think it like as a heritage brand, like not every brand needs to be sort of hip and young. Andrea, shout out to Andrea from Snackshot. She uses the term yassified a lot. And I didn't know what that meant and she would just use it all the time.

36:38So I looked it up and the New York Times, the failing New York Times definition of yassified is to yassify something is to apply several beauty filters to a picture using FaceApp, an AI photo editing application, until it's subject, that is celebrity, a historical figure, a fictional character, or a work of fine art becomes almost unrecognizably made up. They yassified matzah. That's what it feels like to me. Yeah. And it's like, as someone who grew up with these products in their home, and my mother worked at a Jewish community center, and yeah, it just feels a little weird. How's your mom feel about it?

37:21I don't know. We should call her up right now and get her opinion. But I just think, is it going to work? Maybe. It looks wonderful. I saw pictures of it in store and you look at it and you're like, especially in a category where everything feels so old and dated, to be modern and be more younger, I just feel like they're trying to get a... It feels like Gen Z, young millennial kind of inspired. And it just feels, I don't know, it just feels off. I just don't think every brand, heritage brand, needs that kind of rebrand. I think it could have gone a little less playful, a little less bold and young.

38:03And I think it probably would have been a little bit more successful for me. But maybe I'm just an old, I'm old, I'm old. Yeah, maybe you're the sign guy. Bring back the old Manischewitz branding. Yeah. I'm just like, what did you do with my old brand? Why don't you call her? Why don't you send your mom the article and call her? Yeah, and say, what do you think? Yeah. Put the microphone right to the computer. Oh, my God. I'm not going to do that to my mom. But I will text her and say, Mom, what do you think of this? No, let's get a live reaction. Let's have her unleash. I don't think she would unleash.

38:35I mean, from all I've heard is the food is pretty gas. It's great. Oh, yeah. No, the product is. Yeah. So, I mean, it's not changing the insides. No, I know. But, again, the product is great. I just think it's an interesting dilemma, right, when you have a brand that is, yeah, means something to people. And maybe I'm just being a I don't like change kind of guy, you know, sort of like what do you do with my matzo. But it just feels a little too hip. It just feels a little too young and cool and trying to be cool. And I just don't think that is the spirit of this brand. Like Bubby knows best, live, love, latke.

39:16Like it just makes me, it just feels like it's trying a little too hard and I'm just not totally down with it. Is it going to work? Does it look great? Yes. Well, when you try hard, that's when you die hard. We have a quote. Manischewitz quote. Manischewitz is well known amongst its loyal customers who buy the brand day in and day out in an effort to update the cultural relevancy with a younger Jewish audience as well as a mainstream culturally conscious audience. We have refreshed our brand with an exciting new look and feel of our current and new product offerings. Yeah, I mean, listen, shout out to Shani Seidman, CMO of Keiko, the parent company for Manischewitz.

39:55Quote, Manischewitz is not just about food, it's about stories, heritage, a sense of belonging. Through this rebranding, we aim to capture the hearts of the culturally curious and kosher keeping alike, offering a taste of Jewish tradition that's accessible to all. I mean yeah I think it could help people Sort of find this brand Maybe that aren't Jewish And maybe are You know like listen Matzah slaps Matzah ball soup I mean the matzah ball soup looks fucking delicious I'm fiending on it right now I'm zooming in Are you a kafilta fish guy Kevin Have you ever dabbled Is that just like kind of pickled white fish No It's kind of it's own thing but don't question my Jewish knowledge.

40:40I try it. I'm not questioning anything. No, I'm just saying, don't ask me more questions about things because I don't know them. Okay, great. But here's the thing. Again, JKR did a great job, and I'm going to praise them, and I always will because they put out these rebrands that are just like, they're excellent. They're crafted in a way that's just like it's undeniably good design. I just question whether everything needs to be good design and everything needs to be... You sound like me. Yassified. You sound like that's some shit I would say. Yeah. Like does every brand need like top-down illustration?

41:24If I was saying this, you'd be like, yes, it does. No, I know. Listen, I am a man of multitudes. You know, I think sometimes you, I think most brands do need this, but maybe it's something, maybe it's just something that feels too, like, familiar to me as a brand that I, you know, grew up with to see it sort of in this new sort of, like, it's just so sexy. And I just don't know if that, that it needed to be quite so hot. I think at the very least we can commend the matzo balls it took to carry out this rebrand. We're not doing the pun game, Kevin. uh you know look i am that's what i'll say kevin i also like i don't know like as a jewish person do i want to see like soup with chutzpah like it just kind of feels i hear pandering slash like my culture is not your you know uh case study mood board kind of energy i mean you know also how many jewish puns like kiss the bubby the soup with balls like how many of those things before i I want to just be like, you know, I'm cooking my took us off.

42:37That's a good one. Oh, my mom says she's she's busy. Oh, damn. Your mom's busy. No, she's she's big league in you. She's on a call. Sorry. So we'll have to we'll have to tune in next week to know what my mom thinks about the rebrand of Manischewitz. Yeah, we'll get her on. We'll get her on the line. Listen, it's it's a job well done. but also just it questions. It makes me question everything, Kevin, about design and aesthetics. Does everything need to be beautiful? Does everything need to be well-designed? What is good design if everything is beautiful? Are you having a little break right now?

43:11Yeah, I'm having a mental breakdown on the podcast. Well, I didn't say that. But it is an existential question about design. Does everything need to be well-designed? Wow. Who knew you would be here? Or is good design just a bold typeface, like fun characters, illustrations, and punny copywriting. Is that good design? I don't know. You tell me. You're the guy whose name's on the door. Moving on. Brand new. Also known as Under Consideration, or from the people of Under Consideration, is also got a rebrand. And Armin's going to come on the show in a couple weeks. Oh, yeah. We got him booked. We got him booked on the calendar, So we're very excited about that.

43:56And so we won't need to, we could talk about this journey. They went on to rebrand brand new in more details with him. But I will say my first reaction when I saw it on Instagram was that it looked great. Yeah. I love the ligatures. I love the bold sands. And I wasn't in love with the last branding. So this to me feels like a really great upgrade. Yeah. They got a lot of ligatures going on there. Yeah. Everything's touching. Yeah. Yeah, R to the A, the D to the N, you know? Boom. Yeah, they're spitting. Yeah, I think the logo has a lot of character. And if you read brand new as much as Kevin and I do, we know that Armin, he's got personality with a purpose over there.

44:39Yeah, I mean, he loves puns. He's known for his puns, and it's a great educational platform, but it's also funny, and it's got a lot of character. And I feel like this wordmark, this logo, has character. It does. In the same way that the writing of the bloggers. Yeah. I think it fits a lot better than the old one. Mm-hmm. And one thing I really, really loved was that they introduced it on a post on Instagram with the before and after on brand new. So it was a real meta moment to see a rebrand for brand new on brand new. Yeah. I loved that. I didn't dive too deep into the comments, but did you happen to?

45:18I didn't. Do they have opinions? I'm sure. everyone you know you're telling me that the brand new comment section has opinions yeah i mean whoa we would basically run a podcast where we are for uh cosplaying as brand new commenters so did someone take the logo onto their own computer and then do it like slightly different and be like this is what i would i'm not sure i stayed out of the comments i'm trying to read less comments oh yeah yeah is this a new year's resolution it's not working but yeah let's see what people are saying uh yeah people are my only quip is actually they are in the a ligature blah blah blah it looks great congratulations armin and briny like this looks really good and oh you know what's happening people are saying things and then other people are saying like what a ridiculous comment so uh you know it's good when the comment section is turning on itself well that's good but i think it looks awesome i'm really excited by it uh and i think it's got a whole lot of character and i hope that armin brings us some merchandise because that's what i would uh you know that's i i would i would rock a brand new hat and uh everyone would think i was the coolest kid on the block sure yeah uh one thing another thought i had uh before we move on is that i think a brand new should rebrand every year like they should just keep rebranding because it's a site about rebrands for the most part that would be funny and i feel like they should just keep rebranding well i should we should bring it up to him yeah we should suggest that in uh you know constructive criticism uh yeah i i think it's just kind of funny right like i don't feel like the what i know this would be a huge pain in the ass uh for him the subscription would probably have to double but it's and i know these things uh take a long time yeah and so i think it would be challenging but just for me i think it'd be a lot of fun for it to see the brand i feel like every year kind of like the super bowl or something like i feel like every year brand new should have a new look throw it out there like a full system upper hole or just just like new logo new colors new typefaces kind of just just spice it up okay um speaking of sauce kevin subway oh is added again our favorite sandwich shop has decided uh to pick up the bottle this is like their most normal release ever i know uh it does feel yeah quite normal but uh have you ever been in a subway kevin and thought man i wish this uh sweet onion teriyaki sauce uh was it's so good i wish i had it in my home i mean i've like the buffalo yeah really yeah i mean when i was like a kid i'd just get that doused on buffalo sauce you're like i wish i could put this shit on everything yeah absolutely yeah well guess what kevin you're in luck because subway has announced a line of bottled sauces that include roasted garlic aioli baja chipotle and sweet onion teriyaki actually you're not in luck because they don't have buffalo but it's okay i've moved on okay so subways uh line of sauces uh are gonna launch uh in retail so the bottles are green subways logo is placed vertically up the side and it's got a little window so you can see that sauce through a fully wrapped bottle i mean this shit kind of looks like a sports drink it really does it looks like prime yeah it's like prime subway teriyaki sauce uh listen subway you came so close but you know i I think it looks fine.

48:28You know, let them, let them cook. Yeah. Make your subway art sandwich art at home. That's the, that's the headline. Make your own damn sandwich from Rudy at Dylon. Shout out to Rudy. We got subway at home. Yeah. It says make your own sandwich art at home with Subway's new line of bottled sauces or don't. There you go. Oh, he said it looks like prime. So the Rudy and I on sand page. Yeah. It looks insane. Like it does not look like, I don't know. It just, yeah i don't think they got it on pasta sat like yeah so the photo there's not a sandwich in sight there's not a sandwich in sight the this the photo that's introducing the four products has four different use cases so one is a salad one is a pasta salad one is just oh is that french fries and then one is like uh tortilla chips deconstructed nachos yeah which i guess is to show the flexibility.

49:24I think that's ceviche. Listen, if you're putting Subway sauce on your ceviche, you got a problem. Subway ceviche. If you think that putting Subway, the Subway Baja, Chipotle Baja on your ceviche, you probably need to get new ceviche because that shit's probably rotten. And you shouldn't be eating ceviche in the first place. Oh my god, that's hilarious. Yeah, man. Have you ever been have you been on a boat you know fishing and then you got some fresh fish and chopped it up for yeah with a little lime juice I've always wanted the Subway Baja sauce with my favorite ahi tuna ceviche oh my god yikes yeah that is a funny use case yeah when you bring it up like that that is hilarious I thought it was just like beans or something I thought it was like a salsa but that's ceviche I can't believe I can't believe that I think there's an audience for this I'll just say that I think this is definitely I think this is one of the smarter moves of subway as a brand that you know we know that does mostly misses they shoot they're out here shooting they get shots up yeah they're like Caitlin Kark you know they're gonna put up 30 shots a game and you know what they're not gonna hit them all I mean they're gonna be way less accurate yeah no I mean listen subway we love you keep shooting yeah keep shooting keep shooting i'd say they're more like a scoot henderson you know you're gonna miss a lot yeah so kevin uh the last story of the day comes from duncan duncan donuts has a big idea they announced on tuesday that a small ice regular coffee will be renamed the short king on the duncan app through march 26 26th so that is already over but they are they were celebrating the beginning of spring and in massachusetts where duncan is headquarters spring can also be a very short season.

51:20Yep. Wow. Yep. That is, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's the reason that's, that's why we're doing this. Well, it's just publicity, you know? Yeah. I mean, somebody had to do it. Somebody had to be the first brand to do short King. Yeah. I, Kevin, a little inside baseball here. We did have this idea. We may or may not have pitched it. It's a, it's a good idea. It's a good idea to name your product, the short King. Yeah, it's relatable. Everyone loves short kings. I've never heard the idea of short king spring before. Is that a thing, Kevin? Yeah, that's a thing. Yeah, it's like hot girl summer, short king spring.

51:57Oh, okay, okay, okay. I wasn't familiar. I'm not a short king, Kevin. I'm just so tall. Wow, congratulations. Yeah, yeah. Kevin, do you want to elaborate on it? What are you, six foot? I'm six foot, exactly. 5 '11 and a half. Kevin, do you want to talk about what the term short king means to you? Where it comes from? Well, I mean, apparently it's for a term of endearment for men, usually under 5 '9". His lack of height has nothing to do with his perception of his own self-worth, according to Urban Dictionary. Is that in the press release? It is in the press release. Thank you, Duncan. Thank you for that.

52:39Whatever. I think it's a cool idea or whatever. You're not too far from short King, Alex. You better sip it. You're only a couple inches. Yeah, those are big inches. I mean, who knows? The way gravity works and aging. You may be short King. You may be short King in like a decade. I'll be wearing those fucking shoes that give you three inches. You're going to get that surgery? Yeah, that surgery. Yeah, lengthen those legs. Yeah, I mean, I think this is – So originally I liked it, you know, getting some short-hand representation in there. And then like, it's just like this reaction of like absolutely brilliant marketing.

53:22Who said that? Who said this? I don't know. Duncan's latest marketing stunt praised as culturally relevant by Gen Z. Who said this? Who said this? Somebody did. Oh, Entrepreneur Magazine. Yeah, Entrepreneur Magazine said it. And that just makes me automatically hate it. Yeah. My culture is not your marketing campaign. Now this is marketing. No, I genuinely don't care. Absolutely. That's such a lame fucking thing to say. Absolutely brilliant marketing. Culturally relevant to Gen Z. Shut up. You know where that came from? I'm actually looking at it right now. It came from someone at Mood6 Gaming.

54:02Was that the - Yeah, it's the same website that said I was the number 19 best graphic designer of all time. Yeah, they don't know shit. No, they know exactly what they're talking about. They know marketing and they clearly know design. Is that really from the same website? No, it's not the same. Oh, you had me going there. Yeah. It's from a guy that has 4 ,290 followers and is mostly known for gaming. So, yeah, no, for sure, definitely. Let's include him. Absolutely brilliant marketing. No, it's good. It's good. It's really good. It's good to get short kings in there. Short king renaissance. Here it is, Kevin.

54:37I mean, they should have brought out like Mark Wahlberg or something. That is true. Missed opportunity. Boston's very own. Matt Damon. Is Matt Damon short? Definitely. Matt Damon height. Ooh, 5 '10". He's not that much shorter than you, Alex. Famous Boston short, guys. Mark Wahlberg's probably like 5 '8". Yeah, you're right. You're right. You're right. That's fair. Mark Wahlberg was right. They needed a short game to do this right. You're right. That then, it would have been absolutely brilliant marketing. Yeah. But yeah, no, I love the copywriting. We need some short king representation. Yeah, because sometimes you don't need a large or even a medium.

55:12You just need a short king. I agree. I mean, I like the iced coffee especially. Yeah, I mean, if I'm getting like 1130 iced coffee, it's going to be a short king. Yeah, man. I'm with you. I don't want a sort of large coffee. I've notoriously said that coffee does not affect me and I can sleep through anything. That has been changing. Yeah, you were also complaining last week that that wasn't the case. I know. I had like an afternoon coffee and I was like, I could sleep through anything. and then tossing and turning at fucking one in the morning. So yeah, short kings rise up. Duncan has got you back.

55:44Here's what I'll say. I do like this. I think this is funny. I'm glad they didn't do this on April Fool's Day. Then it would have got lost. Yeah, we're not fools. And I'm looking at their social media. It's not short jesters. It's short kings. I'm looking at the Instagram, Duncan's Instagram. I didn't know they were so meme-y. I didn't know they were so like, they were sort of fuck Jerry over there. Yeah, I guess why would you follow a corporate Instagram account? I follow a lot, but I don't. Oh, I know, yeah. It checks out. Yeah, so I guess they're doing all sorts of partnerships with like content creators, short king stand-up partnerships.

56:22They put up a sign where you can get measured and see how tall you are if you're a short king. Yeah, they should be giving us free coffees. Yeah, for talking about them all this time? No, they should be giving men under 5 '9 free coffees. Kevin, they're another brilliant idea. They need to have a height measurement like a fucking amusement park. Inside of a dungeon. You must be this short to get a free coffee. Oh, it's brilliant. That would be brilliant. Like where they have the baristas take out the tape measure and they just say, oh, you want to, I'm here for the short king free promotion. And they're like, okay, cool.

56:54Stand up against that wall. Yeah. And they're like, okay, cool. Here you go. If you're over 5 '9, you don't get it. Yeah, you don't get one. And that is like, yeah, come on, Duncan. Step up. I know. I mean, they should just do it. They needed to do it. They missed opportunity. I mean, that way, like, you know, it'd be giving us something. You could name something after short kings all day. But, you know, when the rubber meets the road and it's time to get a free coffee, nowhere to be found. If you're going to do it, do it right. Yeah, do it right. Do it fucking right. And I like that idea, Kevin, because short kings, in my experience, don't like to admit that they're short kings.

57:37So if you have to go to a store and say, I'm here for the free short king, and then you get measured, that content go lower. Yeah, I mean, I guess getting measured is pretty... It's pretty fucked. Yeah. But it would be a great promotion. And just do it at one location in Boston and have Mark Wahlberg there handing out the free iced coffee. Wow, that's great. fucking short kings they're gonna do that next year and brilliant we're gonna be listen short king spring i didn't know it was a thing but now they own it so shouts duncan it's it is yeah starbucks could never no that's the show thanks everyone for listening we will be back next week and hit me with some fucking drink hit me hit me

58:41I was wondering what's up to me, just please, Lord knows It's your worst nightmare, it's my first night here And this girl right here, who knows what she knows So I'm going through her phone, if she go to the bathroom And I'm purged right there, I don't trust these hoes at all But that's just a result of me paying attention To all these women that think like men with the same intentions Talking strippers and models that try to gain attention Even a couple porn stars that I'm ashamed to mention Louisiana stunner, my only role models Half in Jordan, my only role models That's why I walk around with all this gold on And every time I run into these niggas, they want no problems Bottom sixes and chains, and some braces and rings All of the little accents that make me a king I never hear the disses they try and point out to me But it's whatever if somebody won't make it a thing I'm more concerned with niggas thinking about Christmas in August Do anything to buy gifts for they daughters Get some shake, a brick, and a press And chef it like Mrs.

59:40Fields, they making a cookie stretch I know it so well, I know the hustle so well It's not like I'm working overnight, it's right by the motel Drug money, outfit, record clean Spend it all on me and my fucking team Matching rollies for real, matching rovers for real Places they say they been, we actually going for real I'm really killing shit, fuck all the jiggy rapping I'm going trigger happy just to see my niggas happy Mixtape legend, underground kings Looking for the right way to do the wrong things With my new bitch that's living in Palm Springs Young ass nigga, lifelong dreams They take the grace from the past to compare us I wonder if they'd ever survive in this era In a time where it's recreational, pull all your skeletons out the closet like Halloween decorations I know of all the things that I hear they be poking fun at Never the flow though, they know I run that Fuck you all, I claim that whenever I change rap forever The gang back together, yeah Why am I remain that forever in the same place my brother Wayne at forever?

1:00:46I'm a descendant of either Marley or Hendrix I haven't figured it out cause my story is far from finish I'm hearing all of the jokes, I know that they trying to push me I know that showing emotion don't ever mean I'm a pussy Know that I don't make music for niggas who don't get pussy So those are the ones I found on the Disney, I overlook me Lord knows, Lord knows, I'm heavy, I got my weight up Robeson boost the rate up, it's time that somebody paid up A lot of niggas came up off of a style that I made up But if all I hear is me, then who should I be afraid of? Bought a white ghost, now shit is getting spooky Very, very scary like shit you see in the movies And this bitch all drinks on the house like Snoopy That's why all the real soldiers salute me Trail nigga for real

1:01:30You know I love this YOLO, you only live once I'm going so hard my nigga I swear homie Every day is another opportunity to reach that goal

1:01:47I fell in love with the pen Started fucking the ink, the hustle's a art I painted what I would think Still allergic to broke, prescription straight to the paper That's nothing for greatness but got a place in Jamaica Fill on the water with the wonderful views Only fat nigga in a sauna with juice When they got a yacht, I'm talking Carnival Cruise And these niggas talking like hoes, they mad, they not in my shoes It's the Red Bottom Boss, came to buy the bar Every five weeks, shit, I'm bound to buy a car Murder say these spins of that bubble double up Head like splicking, looking like a falling star Every day them hammers bang, whipping yay like anime I run the game, but the ladies think I'm running game Me and coach make it one and one to fornicate Jose and Drake, I'm getting cake, nothing short of great
