0:00I mean, the Rizzler's a star. I mean, he should be everywhere. Yeah, definitely. He should be at the Major League Baseball playoffs. He should be... Of course. He should be getting out to vote. The Rizzler is... No, he should not. Rizzler needs to stay out of politics. No, the Rizzler... We need the Rizzler now more than ever. No. You know? Not in there. The Rizz face. You got to keep church and state separate. I liked that he was at Anthony and Sons Beniti shop. Yeah, definitely. I think he's going to be hanging out there. What? I think that's... Forever? All those internet people hang out there.

0:31Yeah, you got Coojine, you got the Rizzler, you got AJ and Big Justice. That weird mishmash of Italian people podcast. Yeah. Is it problematic that Italian people are sort of being turned into these internet characters, or do you think it's okay? I don't know. I'm not Italian. I mean, Pauly G. Pauly D kind of started this. I'm not Italian, but I'm a pervert. What? Cuomo. Is that what he said? Well, he said, I'm not a pervert. I'm Italian. so I flipped it. There you go. Yeah, no, I often think, again, as someone that's married to an Italian, that Italian stereotypes are some of the only stereotypes allowed in today's world.

1:14I think. But also, we love to see Italian people shining like the Rizzler. That's so woke of you. Yeah, I mean, listen, these guys are out there doing their thing. We must uplift the Italian voices. Can I say I was on vacation or wherever I was and the TV wasn't really working that well. And so I was able to change the channel to MTV and they were playing a new episode of Jersey Shore. Oh, really? And those guys still got it. Oh, yeah. They're still entertaining. They're still fun to watch. They're still causing trouble. Definitely. They never lost the fastball. They never lost it. And that's why they're still on television.

1:55I wish I was them. That'd be sweet. Which one would you want to be? Pauly. Yeah. I mean, I think the golden rule of reality television stardom is that you have to find a craft that you can do for money. Yeah. That's not appearances. Yeah. It's either got to be DJing, which has been very lucrative for him, and James Kennedy from Vanderpump. Yeah. If you could DJ and make that a part of your character on the show. I know. I need to start DJing, I think. Yeah. That's right. I agree with you. Turn this into a DJ career. I know. That'd be great. Just get paid to show up and party. It's my kind of vibe.

2:34Yeah, no. I mean, Pauly D has been doing it for decades now. Well, but Pauly's like also, he's kind of the one who's stayed in his lane slash avoided serious trouble and going off the tracks. You don't think Pauly D's at any of those Diddy parties? Hard to say. Hard to say. I can't speak on that. but I wasn't there. That's for damn sure. Way to put that one on the record. Yeah. I just want to come out and say I was not there. Way to put that on. Alex, can you say the same? I'll be a little hesitant. I've been instructed not to speak on the freak-offs and Mindvalt. I heard vitamin water respond to some of those freak-offs.

3:18No, vitamin water always aligned with 50 and 50 cents is the right side of history. That's true. 50 cents is on the right side of history. I've never met P. Diddy, and that is my statement.

3:35Three, two, one. Kevin. I'm glad we got that out of the way. Yeah, we had to get the hard conversations out first. Everyone's actually been asking. The DMs, they've been asking that question. Is Alex going to make a statement? Where was he? And between those years. A lot of questions. Yeah. and my lawyers, uh, all of them have instructed me address it at the top of the show, but then move on. Yeah. Yeah. I'm glad we were able to do that. And, uh, I don't have lawyers cause I don't, I'm not guilty. Listen, you know, uh, I do not know. I don't have anything to hide from. Again, I was not there. I do not know the man.

4:13I've never met that man and I've never been at a freak off. Well, that's good. Moving on, Kevin. It's good to see your face, man. Yeah. It's been about a month. it feels like since we've had a mano-a-mano pop. Well, it's been longer. Is that true? Yeah. I have no sense of time. It's probably been like five weeks or something, six weeks. Five weeks. We've had some pretty banging guest episodes. Def. No, we weren't even in the same studio for a month. Yeah, we've had just amazing episodes. And we're out of guests. We have exhausted all of our guest episodes and all of our friends. So from here on out, tough sledding.

4:50No, we're good. We got some lined up. We got, you know. Yeah. We'll find some more friends. I've started to, you know, I had a 40th birthday, Kevin, very recently. And so it was good for recruiting. Yeah. Basically just a podcast onboarding. That's right. It was a podcast, yeah, interview process. It was like, hey, will you come on the podcast? And multiple people said yes. Wow. They have to say yes, it's your birthday. That's true. That's right. So success. Wow. But you, I guess, Kevin, it's worth noting here also at the top of the show that you're talking to a 40-year-old man. Wow. Yeah. I am an elder statesman, a veteran, a seasoned professional.

5:30Wow. Yeah. And I should be respected as one. Sure. That's right. Whatever you want. That's right. Exactly. Whatever you want, Mr. Veteran. Yeah. People are saying like, how is this going to affect the show? And it's like, don't worry. It will be okay. Just I'll be more seasoned. Yeah. I just think I have a lot more respect for you now that you're 40. Thank you very much. Now that you eclipsed 40. Kevin, I will say I went to a design event last week hosted by Collins. And I was in a room full of many beautiful, amazing New York graphic designers and people of the design world. And multiple people at that party came up to me and said, hey, Alex, love the pod.

6:05So great. Shout out to all those people. And shout out to all the people that listen and even some new listeners. We've had some really great guest episodes. We've had some uptick in followers and listeners. So welcome to the party, guys. Yeah, this is what it is. This is it. It's a podcast about design, kind of somewhat about design, but mostly just two guys talking in front of microphones. Yeah, it's like that meme we posted last week. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It really is like that. Yeah, no, that one hit a little too close to home for me. Nothing is better than a verbal meme. Kevin, do you want to do it here on the show?

6:36No, they just look it up. Have we not potted since I was in Lithuania? No. No. That's true. Before last week, I hadn't seen you since before Lithuania. That's not true. I think we talked about Lithuania. No. No? You teased it. Okay. Well, shout out to the wonderful people of Vilnius. I miss you, and I had one of the best weeks of my life in Lithuania. Wow. We are the number one design podcast in Lithuania. Everyone knows that. That's certified? It's certified fact, and that is what got me to go to Lithuania and judge an award show and do a talk. And yeah, the people welcomed me with opened arms.

7:10I wish you were there, Kevin, to see the love in the streets. That's great. Yeah, a beautiful trip. And yeah, I was in Paris and I was in Denver for How to Design Live. Another beautiful week in Denver. I went to Red Rocks. It was a - Who'd you see at Red Rocks? It was a great time. I saw someone named Benny Can't Swim. Was it good? And it was a DJ and it was actually pretty good. Yeah. I wasn't like in the mix. Yeah. Red Rocks is more - Were you with Mesa? No, Mesa wasn't there. I was with Max and I was with Claire. I was with some other people that were sort of had later flights. Nice. And so we decided to make the trip.

7:49You went to Red Rocks then flew that night? I did. Nice. I actually went straight from Red Rocks to the airport. Nice. And took a red eye to DC. So yeah, no, it was a fun trip. I did not get to go to Casa Bonita, which I'm really bummed about. Apparently, you have to be on like a wait list for months. Yeah. I signed up for the email when I was out there. Yeah. Apparently, it's impossible to... The hottest spot on planet Earth. Yeah. We drove past and we got out and took some pictures. But they had a lot of security off front. Really? Yeah. It was like 11 a.m. on a Sunday. And there had to be like five security guards.

8:22Can I tell you when I got off the airplane at Denver Airport and I saw a guy wearing a Casa Bonita sweatshirt, I got so excited. Just like Cartman. I was like, Casa Bonita. And I was like, the cliff divers. Yeah. You got to get there. I got so excited. Are you on the email wait list? sign up. What am I going to do? Fly to Denver to go to Casa Bonita? What are you going to do? Not fly to Denver and go to Casa Bonita? I don't know. I guess I would, but I was there and I was like, oh, it's my birthday. I was like, this is great. I'm going to make a group reservation. I'm going to make everyone go to Casa Bonita.

8:50And then it didn't happen. Yeah, get in line, pal. Dude, I did not know the Casa Bonita situation. Yeah. It is a 30 million person wait list for months and months and months. There's a documentary coming out about them making Casa Bonita. Wow. So I got to get in there. Good luck. But man, I, yeah, I, the website, the design, uh, we are design podcast. So, uh, the website, it's so good. The exterior is great. Yeah. The space looks amazing. I need to get in there. You gotta buy a ticket, right? It's not even, it's like a dinner. It's a show. It's a dinner. It's an experience. Yeah. I'm so jealous.

9:22You were traveling around Italy as you are. Oh yeah. As you do weddings. I love Italy. Yeah. You're an Italian. I'm big, I'm big, big Italy guy. Speaking of Italians. I'm not a pervert. I was just in Italy. Yeah. Well, Kevin, as we know, is a great wedding guest. He shows up looking great and he has a good time. Oh, yeah. This one was a little bit of a doozy. Okay. Dinner didn't end until like 1130. And so I didn't serve any liquor until 1130. Really? Yeah. I mean, we left the venue at like 330. Jesus Christ. So like 1 to 330 is a bit of a blur. and then naturally woke up on the bathroom floor of my Airbnb.

10:02Still got it, dude. Yeah. But it was so beautiful. You're a young man. Great beaches. That's what you should be doing. Great food. Amazing sandwiches. Sandwich culture over there is crazy. Yeah. You pay a fraction of what you pay in New York. You probably pay like a third to two thirds of what you pay in New York, but way better ingredients, way better bread, a lot more passion for the craft, way less skimpy. So shout out to Italy and their sandwiches. Shout out to Italian sandwiches. Honestly, probably all of Europe. I haven't been in all of Europe, but the few spots I've been this summer, amazing sandwiches.

10:37They know what they're doing over there. The best sandwich is an Italian sandwich. Everyone knows that. I've come back and now paying$16 for a skimpy tuna salad sandwich. I'm not going to put them on blast. Yeah, bleep them out. It makes me rage with anger. Listen, as much as I love potentially running into the Rizzler or Cujine or whoever at the Anthony and Sons Bikini Shop. Well, at least you got that at Anthony and Sons. But their sandwiches, dude, are now like 20 bucks or something. And listen, they're great sandwiches at Anthony and Sons. I would never disparage that place. But it's a tough bargain.

11:13You're talking about an$18,$20 sandwich? Yeah. I don't know, man. I don't know. The Italians really know how to live. I could go for a sandwich. They take a nice after-you nap. Yeah. It's great. Yeah. two hour dinners we work too hard over here yeah it's it's a waste of uh well i was uh wasting our lives i was working remote over there too oh yeah if you didn't know i missed that i was producing pods over there um but it was great i do the same thing every day um wake up at like 9 30 roll out of bed grab myself a sandwich throw it in my bag yeah and then you know knock back a couple coffees, some espressos, maybe some macchiatos.

11:51Then I hit the beach and just lay in the sun. And then I'd go in the water whenever I needed to go to the bathroom and had a fantastic time. You do have a good tan still, Kevin. I mean, it's fleeting. It's really fleeting. You should have seen me when I got back. I was - Yeah. Yeah. Golden. Yeah. It felt really great. And then come back to gloomy New York. There's no sun. I will say, Kevin and Alex's European summer, the coffee is really spectacular. And here, it's more just gasoline. Yeah, same thing. To fuel our American lifestyle, hustle and drive and dedication, perseverance. Also, same, same with the sandwiches.

12:30You go to a random Italian espresso bar and just pay one euro for a nice little espresso. And here, you're paying four, three, four. But we're back, though, and it's the fall, and it's the best season here in New York by far. And October, not only my birthday month, but just a tremendous time to be here in New York. Football's back. Yeah. Fuck football. Pumpkin spice latte season. It's cool. It's crisp. Light outer jacket weather. That's my personal favorite. The Mets are back. And we got playoff fucking Mets baseball, dude. What a gift. Yeah, there you go. That was not promised. We've played almost every night this week, and we're falling apart.

13:12We're a little tired. Yeah, you'll be all right. Team of destiny. But I think we're playing good ball. Yeah, exciting. For the new listeners, this is a design podcast, but Kevin and I often sort of find our way into sports. Yeah, a little bit. Just a little bit. My mats are on fire. We are the hottest team in baseball. We've got to win tonight at Citi Field at 5 o 'clock. These game times are fucking killing me because I want to go to these games, but I have a fucking job. Well, what's more important, your job or the Mets? I'd say probably the Mets. I agree with you. It's probably the Mets, but I have meetings.

13:45I have things scheduled that, you know, you can reschedule a meeting. You can't reschedule a playoff baseball game. Well, you know what I'm saying? And I don't even want to say what I'm thinking into a microphone, but, you should say it. I'm hopeful there's more Mets playoff baseball. Well, yeah, to come. So, but you know, you kind of got to strike. I know my, my buddy, uh, Jesse's gone. I heard, um, I heard the Mets tickets are significantly more expensive than the Yankees tickets. Yeah. It's crazy. Mets fans are fucking way better fans. Yeah. It's only – you're only 11th time to the playoffs ever?

14:18Yeah. I mean, we haven't won since 86, Kevin. You weren't even alive. So it's like, yeah, the Mets fandom is fucking real. The Yankee fandom is a bunch of fakers and losers. They're like getting their tickets from their jobs, and they're like, oh, 27 rings. And they stink. And they actually are going to – they lost last night. the Yankees fuck the Yankees the Mets are back we got Grimace, we got Hawk Tua girl we got it all Haley Welch is a huge Met fan put some respect on her name, Haley Welch of the Talk Tua podcast yeah, the number three podcast in America she is on the Mets bandwagon if you go to her Twitter page she's posting every night great Mets memes she was Mrs.

14:59Mad she's wearing a uniform and someone's making her these amazing memes and they're all focused on the Mets. Damn, Mrs. Met and Haley Welch, what a collab. That's right. And we have Grimace and Haley Welch. It's like, that's an unstoppable combination of internet celebrity. Wow. Yeah, a lot of momentum there. Exactly. Unfortunately, she can't pitch sort of the seventh and eighth inning, but if she could, I'd put her in for sure. Oh, they'd probably kick her out for foreign substance because she'd be hawk to it. She'd be spitting on that ball. She'd be spitting on that thing. Yeah. Yeah, no. We are, we're on a run and it's very beautiful to see.

15:37It was not some, you know, again, we've been very good this season. I want to get into it. We were very bad at the beginning. And then Grimace turned it around. And then Grimace turned around and it's been really fun. Been the best team in baseball since Grimace. And, and yeah, what a, what a beautiful surprise. I got a win on my birthday, my 40th birthday. We got a Mets playoff win in Philadelphia. So hopefully we take care of business. And yes, we won't talk about the Bengals. I've, I've been a, I've been a Mets appreciator from afar. Listen, you're welcome. Ever since I laid eyes on Noah Sinegard.

16:07You're going to say Mrs. Met. No, Mrs. Met really cemented it. But I've been a Mets appreciator for a little bit. It's easily the... Most fun team in New York to root for. Yeah, the easiest one. The most palatable for non-New Yorkers slash nationwide audiences to get behind. Because to be honest, from the outside looking in, yeah, you guys stink. But from the outside looking in, a lot of the other New York franchises are a bit insufferable. They are, and I respect that, and I understand that. As someone that does not root for the Yankees and Jets, Giants, I like them both. I kind of root for them both.

16:43I'm more of a Giants fan. And they're Jersey teams. But no, the Mets and the Knicks, who got Cat. It's been a good month for my squads here, man. You think you could punch my bandwagon card for the Knicks? Can I hop on? I gave up being a hater last year. I did remember that. I'm going to be an appreciator. Well, you're welcome. I'll punch your card later. All right. I'm going to get a Deuce McBride jersey. He's my guy. He went off in the preseason game. Let's not talk about sports. Let's move on to another topic. Diddy had 1 ,000 bottles of baby oil. I like in your notes here. Talk about brand loyalty.

17:18Was it the same brand? What was the brand? I think it was Johnson & Johnson. I mean, I hope so. I mean, that's the number one brand. Did you see where his lawyer was like, oh, he just liked buying in bulk. And then Costco came out and said, we do not sell baby oil in bulk. Yeah. We don't even have this product on shelves. I got to admit, that's a pretty tough legal defense there, which is like, who doesn't buy baby oil in bulk? Who amongst us? There were some great memes going around about we're Costco guys. Of course, we buy our baby oil at Costco. That's good. That's a good take. Good crossover.

17:53Great internet content right there. Internet crossover meme is some of the best. Yeah, absolutely. I, uh, yeah, no, no brand would ever capitalize on the, uh, freak off baby oil situation, but if there ever was one, it should be Costco, uh, or Johnson and Johnson. Those, these are, these are opportunities that, you know, I would imagine, uh, there's probably a conversation internally. Like, can we, no, we cannot. We, we absolutely cannot. But yeah, you know, a story that, again, my legal defense, my legal team, sorry, not defense, has instructed me not to talk about. Let's move on. David Protein Bars launched, Kevin.

18:31I even got a box here in the studio. You want to do a little taste test on the pod? Sure. I'll give it a go. Shout out to Peter Hall, the founder of RxBar, and our boy Ryan and Dayjob. Yeah. Taking the internet by storm. Yeah. Because of these macros, baby. be 150 cals 28 grams of protein zero sugar yeah that's uh pretty spectacular so i had to get my hands on them and give it a try as you know i've been uh bulking up protein yeah protein's key protein is key this is actually my favorite one it is the blueberry pie flavor huh so a little taste test here for the pod i've already tried it so uh this is this for you also for new listeners everyone loves when we eat things into a microwave.

19:17Oh, this one will be great. Yeah. It's got some sort of like crunchy bits to it that I'm not really sure what's the, you know, kind of what's the advantage of having them, but I do like them. It's not just like soggy. It's got a little bit of a crunch to it. It's a pretty insane like protein to calorie ratio. I think they claim it's the highest one of any protein bar ever. I believe that is true. you know protein over everything it's pretty good yeah it tastes like a protein bar but like yeah i mean what do you expect it's yeah i'm not like tastes good tastes like a good protein bar i will say my first bite i was like oh i don't know and then like as i tried it i think that happens a lot with like kind of healthy snacks like at first you don't love them and at first you're kind of expecting something more delicious but then after you know a couple bites you yeah i'm not fully in not everything needs to be the most delicious thing you ever had in your entire life.

20:10Dude, I'm getting my proteins. And as someone that started eating protein bars this year, it's an achievement like David, a masterpiece. And so I love the name. I love the design. Yeah, it's great. Good for them. Congrats to them and everyone that's enjoying their David bars. Yeah. Not the Glaze Day job, but did you see their Lucy XL pouches, the nicotine ones? I did. That's beautiful. Yeah. Increasing shareholder value. They're crushing it. Yeah, not to glaze them. Ryan, come on the pot. I've been trying to hit that corporate speak copy concept for my entire fucking life. Yeah, we did something.

20:52Shout out to them for nailing it. Remember we did that thing with BuzzFeed? I wasn't there. You weren't there. It was pretty rare. Wow. A project pre-Kevin is a pretty rare thing. Yeah, we had a thing for BuzzCorp. It was kind of in that same bind. an evil kind of like, yeah, uh, sort of company. Um, but yeah, no, it's the biggest launch, uh, probably, uh, of the month that we, um, uh, sort of missed while we were gone. But yeah, I mean, it's, it's, it's a good product. Protein's crazy. Packaging is good. Name is incredible. Uh, so good for good. Yeah. Good for all involved. Um, Michelle Obama launched a soda brand.

21:29You have this here in the chat i was not aware of this it's called plesi and uh i i love michelle obama this design is uh pretty rough yeah design's awful um maybe it's healthy i don't know i didn't look at the macros but hey shout out to uh shout out to michelle obama for getting in the cpg game yeah call us up michelle let's do a little rebounds you know we got we got we can uh we can make this into something yeah you ruined uh you ruined high school lunch for me but uh yeah hopefully you don't ruin so i mean soda's already been ruined so yeah i mean plezifizz lemon lime do you think they call it i think they called it plezzy because it's like pleasant i don't know what's going on here this feels crazy i think there's another brand already called like pleas or it don't matter Pezzy, you know, yeah, I guess.

22:21Michelle Obama. I mean, listen, after you have a great run as president, you know, what do you do after? You know, did you see that video? Carter? President Carter? Yeah. Oh, my God. He looks, you know, a little old. He looks like he's 100 years old. So shout out to him. Yeah. Jimmy Carter looking a little old. Bro needs to start mewing. Get that mouth closed. But, you know, so what are you going to do after? You got to stay busy. You know, that's what they say about retirement is that it's important that you find hobbies and you find things. And so, I mean, just like go vacate, like go to your, go to your house in Honolulu.

22:55No, no, no, no, no. Chill out. You don't need to be schlepping. You don't need to be pushing soda. Come on. You were about to say schlepping. Yeah, schlepping soda. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You've been hanging out with my mom. Michelle's not schlepping. She's certainly not schlepping soda. But yeah, no, I mean, listen, CPG welcomes all, you know? And everyone is launching a beverage brand these days, Kevin. So we're happy to see it. It's at Costco. Costco guys of course it's at Costco yeah we're the Costco guys um did you hear the new Costco guys uh remix yeah you showed me yeah did you finally with the listen to what the Rizzlers got yeah I only like I only like the Rizzlers voice I don't like any of those other uh characters cousins they're pushing yeah they are trying to especially the one who has to read the the chorus off his phone like get out of here you don't even deserve to make the video yeah yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah.

23:43No, I agree. They're kind of running low on material here. They seem to also be diluting the brand a little bit. They'll promote anything. Yesterday, I watched a video of the daughter. She was eating a lobster roll and just being like, oh, this is the best lobster roll in Maine. I'm like, what's going on here? She didn't boom it? Yeah, she didn't even boom it. It was literally just like a two-minute clip of just someone eating a lobster roll. It's sad. Guys, I mean, listen. Do you watch all two minutes? Get in the bag. Absolutely not. I mean, come on. But, yeah, no, I mean, the internet is loving them.

24:15I guess. Where does this go? I'm a little worried for them because. Who knows? I don't know. It doesn't seem. They'll probably be fine. I don't know. Oh, yeah. It seems to be fine. Like, our internet stars, we build them up, and we never tear them down. You know? They stay up forever, right? Big Justice is going to the MLB, dude. Dude, that would be so electric if he's, like, a good baseball player. There's no chance. I mean, he's massive. He's big. He is a big kid. Do you see Bronny and LeBron, you know, officially playing together? so surreal I wish that was me and my dad yeah how sweet would that have been if you went down the dentistry path and you and your dad were working on root canal together yeah taking out some root yeah that would have been epic extracting an abscessed tooth together that would be beautiful yeah we didn't go down that path but yeah it could have been magical but happy for the LeBron family the Jameses you know good for them I saw Savannah posted something she was like this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life and I've watched a lot of basketball it's like well maybe you're a little biased you're his mom and that's your husband oh yeah of course I mean it's going to be the most beautiful thing ever you want no it's a beautiful thing but you know I don't know that 3-1 comeback was pretty beautiful so I don't know listen the Knicks cat we're going We're going places here.

25:41Maybe. Kevin, there's a story out of Michigan. So we're about 30 days from an election. And as everyone knows, the most important part, design part of the election is the I voted stickers, which allows you to tell other people that you participated. Everyone loves democracy. We love a virtue signal. We love a virtue signal. And I think we've been asking for this for a while where people can openly design the I voted stickers because they always are like kind of good design or like somewhat close. But you're like, why doesn't graphic designers get our paws on this stuff? You know that there's just 100 million designers out there.

26:18Actually, I would say, you know, in this case, I think graphic designers, hands off. Let's just give it to the kids with the vivid imaginations. Which, as you know, when you open up a design competition to the public, you're going to get some pretty magical stuff. Any competition to the public. That's true. But especially design. and there's one standout one which is a werewolf clawing off its shirt and uh it's uh it says i voted on it but it's beautiful it's a beautiful uh just a just a beautiful piece it's great it's uh did it win this contest kevin i guess the question but it did win but it's only like it's like one of nine okay michigan okay which is so but you can go and vote and they should definitely make their double run of this one because that's going to be the most popular one yeah what i like about is it's a werewolf but the werewolf also has a human body that's also super jacked and it's ripping off its shirt and the shirt is kind of like uh it kind of turns into yarn it's not even so much a shirt anymore yeah it's strong it's pretty amazing uh speaking of i i finished the vince mcmahon documentary on netflix oh nice i'm i'm on episode one yeah you should you should watch uh That's my recommendation of the month here.

27:30If you're a WWF, WWE guy, Attitude Era, or any era, to be honest, it's phenomenal. It's binge-worthy. They got all the guys. They got Stone Cold. They got Undertaker. They got Hulk. They got Shawn Michaels. They got the whole family. It was cool to learn about his... Because I've never seen episode one. Yeah. It was cool to learn about his come up. Yeah, how he bought the business from his dad. Yeah. Yeah. No, I mean, Vince certainly should get a lot of credit for what he's built. He also is an awful individual. Yeah, he's a psycho. A terrible human. Yeah. His face looks awful. He got some bad work done.

28:13Oh, my God. When he first came onto camera, I was like, I couldn't believe what his face looked like. He looked like a fucking clown. He just like, that plastic surgery is super crazy. Yeah. You got to know when to stop. Yeah. I mean, it's funny. I did get used to it, similar to the David bars. I got used to his face a little bit. And towards the end, it doesn't look as crazy to me. And in some clips, when you see him, you're like, oh, man, he looks kind of young. I'm not going to spoil the ending, but his last look at the very, very end is the worst look of the entire thing. Is this like his follow-up interview after?

28:48He doesn't do a follow-up interview, but they have clips of him post all the things come out about him. And all I'm going to say is pencil mustache. Oh, yeah. I remember the pencil mustache. Yeah. Jeez. Yeah. It doesn't make that plastic surgery look any better. Yeah. It's rough, dude. Jeez. But a really good doc and certainly something that I'm recommending here. I'm trying to think of other things. Oh, Chimp Crazy. I don't think we ever talked about that. Oh, I need to watch that one. Yeah. It's worth a watch. I had a lot of flights over the summer, and it helped me get through a couple flights.

29:27Chimp crazy. Nice. Basically, Tiger King, but with chimpanzees. I love monkeys. Yeah. No. That's right up my alley. Those chimps, man. They'd be crazy. If I was rich and lived in the 80s, I would for sure have a chimpanzee. For sure. You would love a chimp feeding you breakfast and stuff like that. But the difference, I wouldn't let it rip my face off. That's what they all say. It would love me too much. Oh, it would never rip my face off. We'd be pals. That's what they all say. Oh, this is like my son, and I've been taking care of it. And then all of a sudden, one day, they just think your face is sort of a David bar, and they rip it off.

30:04Yeah, it's the same people that made Tiger King, which is really good. They're obviously very good filmmakers. and they found someone as crazy as Joe Exotic in Tanya Haddix. Yeah, I mean, I feel like a lot of people who collect or have exotic animals are kind of got some screws loose. They're real characters. Yeah, definitely. They could probably continue doing this with all sorts of different animals. It's a formula. Like snakes. There's probably crazy snake people. Yeah, I feel like snakes are maybe a little less crazy just because the barrier to entry. and like yeah it this chimp crazy i will say if you haven't seen tiger king maybe it won't feel quite as formulaic or whatever but like undeniably it's entertaining yeah there was a uh that's good there's a legendary bar by my childhood home in uh suburban ohio it was called the monkey bar because they had an orangutan in a cage there and they fed it beer and it smoked cigarettes hell yeah but yeah i never got to see it because i think it's you know it's been you know different time now yeah yeah no no longer okay to just yeah put it put a serving orangutan beer but i mean aside from like you know the uh the welfare of the animal like just on pure vibes it would kind of go hard probably oh yeah if they did that in brooklyn yeah i mean i think in these documentaries the enemy is always pita right and then like the whole like uh the kind of tension is like should these people have these animals or is like PETA yeah probably not does PETA actually look out for the animals are they just trying to like kind of uh control them and I think by probably somewhere in the middle I think I think by the end they start to think you know what these people they're lovable that's the thing it's like Tanya and Joe Exotic they're just they're lovable characters yeah there's like you know but they are treating these animals poorly.

31:59These animals are stuck in these cages and they should be free. Yeah, definitely. I mean, I'm anti-cage. I'm staunchly anti-cage for everything. But their love is real and it's sad to see someone sort of have to say goodbye to something they love. Speaking of, Better Bagel is no more. R.I.P. Better Bagels. The brand that we famously tried on this very podcast probably two, three years ago. Promising a better bagel, promising a sort of high protein, low carb experience is dead. And Kevin, you know what I like to say about a brand? A brand is nothing but a promise. And unfortunately, they did not keep that promise.

32:51Those bagels were not, in fact, better. They were worse bagels. Also, they were moldy. Yes, they were moldy. And for that reason - And expensive. You have to go. You're right. And also, Kevin, they forgot about one thing. Bagels are perfect. True. So there's no need to make a better bagel because the best bagel is a fucking bagel. Absolutely. And I will say that I think since the better bagel, I don't know. There's a lot of low-carb type recipes going around these days and protein bread and some of that stuff is really popping at the moment. Yeah. But I've seen an uptick of like, yeah, the protein breads.

33:31You can make the bagel with Greek yogurt, which ups the macros on it a bit. Okay. I would probably never do that. But just eat a bagel or don't. Maybe have half. I think that's a great recommendation for those out there that are thinking about eating bagels. Either eat a bagel from a bagel store. Shout out to Bagel Point, my personal bagel store here in Greenpoint. I had two this weekend. Wow. I don't recommend eating two bagels, but it was my birthday. And here's the thing. Eat one bagel. Eat one bagel with cream cheese. There you go. And enjoy it. Enjoy it. Enjoy the thing. One of America's, one of life's greatest pleasures.

34:15Yeah. Ovenly's got some sourdough bagels. You see that sign out front? I'm curious. Really? Yeah. I'm not familiar. But bagels, Better Bagel, the company. they had some issues right we reported this like uh they were moldy yes uh and they were delivering bagels to people that looked crazy compared to the photos on the front of the bagel and that's also a problem with putting photos of your product on the front of the packaging if it doesn't match it doesn't unfortunately turns out cpg uh food brands tough sledding out there it's tough game It's tough sledding, but it's also tough to send bagels in the mail.

34:52Yeah, true. I think that's also a problem. Bagels need to be eaten quickly, day of, within an hour. Yeah. Even just a bagel that's been sitting out for 24 hours is not as good as fresh bagels. Of course. And that's what those new brands are doing, like Pop-Up Bagel or whatever the fucking bagel that people like, where you just tear it and people wait in line for hours. They scored pretty high in the infatuation taste test. I did see an infatuation taste test for bagels. I thought that was pretty good content. It was very good content. Papa Bagel did pretty well in there. Yeah. So for those that didn't see, the infatuation team here in New York, they did a piece where they just blind taste tested 20 different bagels from New York and, yeah, ranked them without knowing where they were from.

35:37And I thought the content was great. They also did one where they went to Court Street Diner here in Long Island City. Oh, nice. Another favorite of mine. Been there. And they had different people from the team eating. They spent 24 hours in the diner ordering all different things, but people would come in and tag someone else out. And I thought that was really good content. Yeah, good for them. They're doing good stuff. Shout out to the Infatuation New York City team. I, in fact, am going to EatsCon on Saturday. So podcast fans, I'm sure you'll all be there. So say hello. If you see me eating a bagel or some sort of pizza, cheat day.

36:13Hell yeah. Enjoy it. Yeah, I've never been to EatsCon. You deserve it. I'm a long-time infatuation guy. So it typically falls on the weekend of my birthday. So this is nice. You cleared it. It's next weekend. Yeah. Hopefully the weather's good. You deserve it, Alex. I think there's one Monday or one week where you said diet starts Monday. And look, it started. You never went back. It's been a long year, but I've been putting in that work. And yeah, EatsCon, I'm going to go eat a lot of stuff. Yeah. there's some Matty Matheson is going to be there oh right on good for him yeah hopefully I get to shake his hand shake his hand and say nice job Matty I still haven't finished season three of the bear but I did watch don't tell him that I watched two more episodes over the past like two weeks or so and tough sled you know not really good TV kind of boring I wouldn't say that did he finish it yeah he's great I mean listen Matty Matheson hey it's not comedy and B nothing really happened but it was good vibes Yeah, nothing really happens.

37:15That's probably the problem I'm struggling. I'm kind of looking for a plot of some sort. I like what, you know, 824, Mumblecore, whatever you want to call it. No plot, just kind of vibes thing. But I don't know. After kind of two seasons of something, you kind of want a little bit of a story, right? Yeah. Yeah. Charles Spiewel is going to be there on Sunday, so I guess I'm the same. You going to wear the jersey? I should. now legendary uh kevin people are upset because pepsi acquired siete for 1.2 billion dollars if you're not familiar siete produces authentic heritage inspired tortillas also seasonings cookies snacks and more it's a brand that i've actually never had before but i think it's a i've had some i've had their chips before pretty good i think it's like um i believe it's like a grain or they have a lot of grain free if not all grain free like tortilla chips tortilla chips yeah um tortillas.

38:11They make a lot of stuff. Actually, I have had it. My cousin, who was in town from Orange County, he was like - Classic Orange County move. Totally. He was like, let's get these healthy chips. I was like, no, these healthy chips are going to suck. And then they were actually quite good, actually. Now that I remember, they were pretty solid. So$1.2 billion seems like a good deal. Good for them. I think there's a lot of internet discourse about people being like, oh, well, Siete's going to shit. And that very well may be. I think the track record of big brands purchasing small independent health food brands and running them to the ground, it's pretty high.

38:48But I would say just good for Siete, the people who started it. It's probably very hard to run a food brand. People will get upset about anything, legitimately. like if you're upset that the people that run this food company sold their company to Pepsi for$1.2 billion. I don't think they're upset about that. I think they're upset about like the quote unquote being sellouts. And well, I don't know. The fucking point is to build a company and get it to a place where you can get it acquired by a larger parent company and spend the rest of your life on yachts. I mean, I see, I see the both. I see both sides here.

39:28And they're not going to ruin the brand. man, Pepsi is the perfect place for this. They already make Doritos. They make all sorts of chips. Yeah, but Doritos are fucking bullshit. How dare you? What? Doritos is bullshit. Doritos are nasty. Cool range Doritos? You could start a fire with those. Oh, my God. You've never been more wrong on this podcast, Kevin. No, they taste great, but it's fucked up. They're made of like - They're not going to change the formula. They're made of fucking oil. They're not going to change the Siete magic. You sure about that? But when it comes to the cost breakdown, I don't know.

40:02That's all. I'm wary of they were made a certain way. You're so good at that. They've had a high quality product. They've maintained the quality of the product as they scaled. That you've had one time. And then the fear is that – Well, I mean, I don't – This is just like the general, like any health food or like Better For You brand getting acquired by a huge brand. This is the fear is like they get it and then they water it down. and then it turns out to be they start compromising on the ingredients and it turns out to be not better for you anymore. Then you know what? The next entrepreneur will come and make a better version and then we'll continue the cycle.

40:40Well, yeah. You just got to hope that Pepsi maintains the values of the brand. I mean, we're talking about Siete. This isn't the world's most crafted perfection. Well, yeah, but I'm sure it's important to some people. If you had a gluten allergy. It's a good chip. I'll give him that. I will say, now that I remember it, I was - It's also like tortillas too. I was pleasantly surprised by how good they were. Yeah. It's like for people with grain allergies or gluten intolerances. If you had that and then it gets bought by Pepsi, I would be slightly wary. The internet will get mad about anything. I mean, they're mad that Sweetgreen opened up in Greenpoint.

41:17It's like, have you been to Greenpoint lately? Well, I mean, to be fair, they did take one of the most iconic buildings. But it was empty. It was empty. I know. No one was in it. Somebody should have scooped that up. It was a Rite Aid before. It's an old disco. I know, but it's... It's fine. It's fine. I'm not going to get mad about a sweet green. Getting upset that a sweet green is something on Greenpoint is like, you've lost the plot of Brooklyn. This neighborhood's going to shit. This is like when the Apple store opened up in Williamsburg. I was like, people were like, oh my God, this neighborhood, it used to mean something.

41:46I was like, yeah, but now when I need to go get a new phone, I can go to walk over to Williamsburg. and go just go get a go get a you know a new pair of airpods and that are noise canceling and really good so sure shout apple um kevin uh capri sun made it uh interesting move and people are upset about this and i think they're rightfully so here they went back to plastic or they're bringing plastic plastics back plastics back you know this was sort of a big uproar because of capri sun is famously known for their pouch yeah respect the pouch the pouch is the number one brand asset of Capri Sun. So no one's like, oh man, I love the taste and flavor of Capri Sun.

42:27You just love the experience of poking the straw through the hole. Definitely. And they're totally going back on their 2000s advertising. They didn't respect the pouch. And we all know what happens when you don't respect the pouch. You explode. When you don't respect the pouch, you explode. And that's my call my shot here is Capri Sun will be no more because they're going to explode because they do not respect the pouch anymore. We can hopefully play this clip back in a couple of years when Capri Sun goes out of business and be like, hey, Kevin, call the shot. Here it is. Respect the pouch. Respect it.

42:58Respect the pouch. I mean, it's always fun when you poke the hole and it goes through the other side and then you create a mess. But yeah, this caused an uproar because people thought they were getting rid of the pouch, which they had to come out and make a statement, just like Diddy's lawyer, was we are not getting rid of the pouch. We're just bringing in a bottle as a supplement, as a sort of secondary packaging solution. Which I guess makes sense, but... I don't get it. I mean, is the problem... I think it's probably just to compete with Prime. You think so? It's in a Prime bottle, I guess.

43:30I think probably reformulating or... I don't know. I guess, listen, go Capri Sun. Respect the pouch, Capri Sun. Do your thing. Jeez Louise. But getting mad about this is also insane. But I think going back to plastic is also quite crazy for them to do. Yeah, they could have probably figured something out. They've been ahead of the game with the pouch for fucking, you know, now there's like wine and all sorts of brands and pouches. Like they were the OG pouch. Yeah. I mean, I, yeah, I'd need to look at like a, um, a environmental breakdown of pouch versus bottle to really speak on this matter from an environmental perspective.

44:03Yeah. No, that's good. You should go back and study the, uh, the macros, you know, I get a better sense. No, uh, the ad or the sort of Instagram said new bottles coming soon. No straw poking required. It's like, yeah, that was a bigger problem. You know, people don't respect the pouch anymore. It's sad. I guess you're right. You know, I hate to see it. But sure. I mean, listen, this is probably the most anyone's talked about Capri Sun in a long time. Kevin here, it's pumpkin spice season. So we got a little roundup of things you want to run through. Yeah, shout out to the Dialine and other various internet sources for providing the...

44:39And also shout out for us. they uh they provided uh this far they sent the first one to me can i say which is probably the best one can i say something controversial about pumpkin spice season i don't know that it's that like novel of a thing anymore well it's really it's really calmed down i think brands it's just like a flavor it's like vanilla or caramel or chocolate well but also everyone releases all the flavors all the time now so it's not even special yeah i mean clear winner here is uh a dumpkin spice, uh, dude wipes because absolutely dude wipe saw an opportunity and they don't miss. Yeah.

45:12They've got a lot of different flavors on Amazon too. Yeah. Yeah. Which nobody needs, but you know, good for them, I guess. Honestly, sponsor the pod question mark dude wipes, please. Um, I actually had a wonderful meeting with the founder once and, uh, as a great guy and, uh, killing it, just absolutely killing it in retail, Amazon, the whole thing. So I'll push, I'll push dude wipes, dude. Why? I don't give a shit. Remember, they sent us like 100 cartons of dude wipes, and it was one of the best years of my life. It was fantastic. I still have dude wipes, actually. Yeah. I have a couple single pouches I roll around with sometimes.

45:48You know what? A travel bag. Sometimes you need a single dude wipe. We're dudes, you know? Yeah. Of course we have dude wipes. Yeah, we wipe, too. A pumpkin spice toilet paper from a brand called Green Mountain Valley. Do you want to boom or doom this? Yeah, boom for the dude wipes. Yeah, this is a triple boom. Boom. Pumpkin spice TP is doing mostly just because of the packaging. Yeah. I don't know. I kind of like it. Yeah. I don't know. I'll give. Yeah. You're going to boom. Green Meadow Valley pumpkin spice TP. Just regular TP. Yeah. It's not wet. Not a dude wipe. I'll also give that a boom.

46:22Just a singular boom. Is there an opportunity here for a flavored toilet paper? Just at large. Like should toilet paper have a little bit of scent to it? No. I think it should, I think actually, I think the trend would be to go natty. You know, I mean, there is a, there's a good toilet paper brand. He's keeping it natty. There's a lot of natural toilet paper out there, but I'm saying scented. There's one very loud one. I can't remember the name, but yeah. Good brand. Good for them. I'd push them. Who gives a crap? Is that one? No, I think it's like plant, plant papers. Oh, plant paper. Yeah. They use Ginto.

46:52It's the same type as the center. Shout out to them. They do a good job. Shout out to Dynamo. PSL Poopery. Nope. Are you familiar? There's a lot of poop products here. Are you familiar with this one? There are a lot of poop rocks. I think you put it in the bowl, you put it in the water before you go, and I think it creates a little barrier, a little surface barrier that keeps the smelling. I don't know if we need to break down each and every single of these products. Pumpkin Spice Poo-Pourri, that's a boom. That's a boom for me. You love these products. Native deodorant, I'm also giving it Doom because I feel like I saw this last year, and maybe this document just didn't need to be updated.

47:26It's possible. It's possible. Okay. doom for me yeah uh psl twinkies i feel like also i've seen this before again it's just not that exciting it's like it's just a flavor that'd be great boom yeah it's kind of delicious uh pumpkin spice avocado oil boom sure sure i mean think about how crazy i would go in like some uh some like cinnamon muffins or something or like some pumpkin muffins you replace that with uh whatever for the vegetable oil or whatever the fuck can i tell you something uh personal about myself uh sometimes i go on like trips you know kind of weekend trips upstate or whatever i love those places that have like all those flavored olive oils you ever go to those yeah kind of make them themselves and there's one i really like uh with meyer lemon so a little bit of lemon zest for your eggs or for yeah there you go guacamole and uh you know kind of really hits it so i'm on a big tallow kick right now well i don't know what's tallow beef fat whoa so that's why i cook my eggs in kevin's on some always on some new shit i'm on that new shit i'm on the tower how do you spell that t-a-l-o-t-a-l-o-w okay kevin it's an emerging uh material a lot of uh new brands and the health health food health food space you know a little skincare brand consider me uh influenced tallow oh is that what's in the sort of uh beef fat uh sort of face stuff that yeah definitely another day job thing yeah shout out to day job uh pumpkin spice almonds those kind of sound good yeah sure boom yeah boom and then last one duncan spice pumpkin spiced iced latte boom sorry i said it wrong duncan spiked pumpkin spice iced latte or maybe i said it right who knows i like the packaging on this one yeah this seems pretty interesting yeah yeah this is probably the only one i would actually try okay yeah no i mean i love a flavored latte it's one of life's great pleasures also like a bagel so if I recommend I'll put you on Kevin you ever have a flavored iced latte I'm not a big I'm not a big pump guy I don't like the pumped flavors go for a little pump you know again not every Sunday not like you know not every day certainly but like I will not I will not pump as a little treat I will not get pumped teach yourself a little pump I will not get pumped Kevin what day you're celebrating on Halloween I don't know I'd what do you think i guess it falls on a thursday falls on thursday there's some debate on whether it's the weekend before the weekend after and i think it's going to end up being both i've also i've heard some reports of of friends having um engagements both weekends so i will be so i will be doing one weekend of halloween um do you know what the best part of turning 40 is i could be like i'm not doing halloween i'm 40 years old well i'm too old for that yep washed i'm like Larry David finally got an excuse to get out of Halloween.

50:18Kevin, enough of Halloween. We have important stuff to talk about, which is Logan, Paul, and KSI. And Mr. Beast. Oh, and Mr. Beast. I forgot about Mr. Beast. How could I forget about Mr. Beast? A trifecta of internet powerhouses. Are they still running the web like they used to? Yeah. With the children, yes. Didn't Prime fall off? Wasn't there some stat that Prime was the hottest thing in the world, and then they can't sell it now? I don't know. I have no idea. I don't have my finger on the pulse of crime. I think it's certainly cooled off a little bit. Yeah, yeah. I think the kids still love crime.

50:55It was so hot at that point. I mean, South Park did an episode. You know, we need to get Andrea back. I think that's the talk about guests. I think we need to bang that line. Andrea's snack shot, of course. I think she said she'd be in town. Yeah. Can you? Yeah, I'll connect. It feels like we're due. It's been probably a year or so. It's been probably a year and a half. Wow. So tell her we need to know what the temperature check on Prime is and her opinions on Lunchly. So Lunchly is essentially a take on Lunchables, the famous snack slash lunch thing that, to be honest, had a Capri Sun pouch in it and a bunch of weird little snacks and pizzas and things.

51:38uh i get what they're trying to do here but i just don't know it looks a little bit too much like lunchables and like the not the name and the design and the fact that it's this giant box i think the whole point of lunchables is that it comes in this kind of like little thing so that kids can take it to school it just feels like a lot i don't know yeah what do you think um I mean, as a health conscious individual, I would never put this in my body. I do think it's funny that... I'm 14 years old. Okay. I do think it's funny. Basically, their whole concept here is let's beat Lunchables. Let's be like slightly healthier, slightly less sugar, slightly less everything.

52:20Okay. You know, and they deliver on that promise and you can see it in some of their like head to head or like some of the content they've made where it's like Lunchables has 21 grams of sugar. lunchley has 18 and like not even really beating it by that much and like yeah sure maybe the um quality of the food inside of lunchley is better but like i don't know it's probably it's honestly it's negligible and um i i don't know i mean they said something about having like actual real cheese and lunchley which that's good i guess but the bar was pretty low is what you're saying i think I think I'm health creds you're saying.

53:00Yeah. I mean, they're, they're hitting a low bar. Um, they're, they're rising. They're slightly rising above a low bar, which is not very hard. And I get what they're doing. Yeah. Um, and I am, I'm pretty anti, uh, children drinking prime. I think, I, I think, uh, prime is not good. Uh, yeah, no, I, I don't, I agree. I agree with you completely. Like these, uh, this incredibly low bar for, uh, health food. You know, is this this is better for you than sure. Like the most processed thing from like the 1980s. Yeah. So sure. By today's standards, can you put a little bit less sort of processed shit, a little bit lower cow.

53:44Slightly less sodium. Slightly better cheese. And like that bar was so goddamn low. And then you throw in a little Feastables chocolate and Mr. Beast. Is Mr. Beast still out there? I feel like he's also cooled off a little bit, I think. At least in mine. I mean, you're not in that demographic. You're saying that I am not in the Mr. Beast demographic? Yeah, I don't think. I think maybe slightly he's cooled off, but I don't know. I mean, he's still probably tearing it up. I'm not really sure. I'm not Mr. Beast. Sure. I don't really follow any of these guys. Oh, did they get the Rizzler? They did get the Rizzler for lunch.

54:21That's why we're talking about it. Okay. Now I understand and see this picture with the Rizzler in it. I mean, yeah, he should be the face of this Brad. I mean, he should be the face of... Every Brad. Yeah. Shout out to the Rizzler. Goddamn. National treasure. Yeah, I mean, the Rizzler should be in WWF, too. Definitely. He should be Logan Paul's manager. That's what he should be. Definitely. He should come out from under the ring. Yeah, totally. And hit people in the balls. Yeah, that would be amazing. I was out on this thing. I don't want this. I don't want to try it. I have no interest in it.

54:55But now that the Rizzler is the face of it, I'm all the way back in. Yeah. Yeah. Where can I get it? I do think it's actually funny to try to recreate these kind of things, like these little cheese and crackers thing. And I always thought it was funny that little kids get charcuterie plates, you know, kind of thing. It's like little meat, little cheese on a cracker. And it's like pizza that's not. Yeah. It's like dough and sauce and cheese, but not cooked up. It's like, I don't know. The bar was so goddamn low. So. Yeah. I can't believe we're feeding kids this. Well, there was a last week tonight special about like sort of the food in the cafeterias.

55:30And what is it? Is it bad? No, it's awful. Yeah. You're never going to believe it, Kevin. But apparently each meal has to be made for like a dollar. And so the quality of the food that we're feeding our kids is a dollar all in for fucking chicken and fries and all a bunch of stuff. I love all the corners we cut. I mean, yeah. anything for a buck you know it's pretty i'm saying yeah the funny not funny like the crazy part about it again i was half paying attention you know second screen you know sort of situation but like they apparently have money for the school food systems but they have to split the food with also the people that work there and all the supplies and all the like i don't know it makes no fucking sense like just feed these kids regular food like i just don't get it speaking of regular food, Kevin, the last story of the day.

56:19Chicken Big Mac. I feel like I've seen this before. It doesn't feel that crazy. I've never had one, but I'm in. I'm in. A McChicken Big Mac. It makes perfect sense. Why did it take us so long to get here? What's next? The McRib Big Mac? Honestly? Kevin? Yeah, McDonald's. That's a good idea. That's pretty good. What was the burger thing that we talked about? It was a sort of McDonald's international thing. I had it in Lithuania. What was it called? Oh, did you really? Yeah, yeah. What was the new burger? The Big Something? The Big Justice? So they're finally selling the Chicken Big Mac in the US.

57:01So that's the reason why the big story is that it sold out in 10 days in the UK. And so now it's coming to America. I mean, finally. But you had the Big Something from McDonald's? uh the big tasty the big tasty is that it it was the mick tasty mick tasty yeah i had the mick tasty and no you're right it was the big tasty wow that's crazy wow you nailed it kevin uh yeah i was in lithuania and i landed like two in the morning and nothing was open and i went on uh you know sort of let me get a big tasty and i i went on seamless or whatever their version of it was and i was got something delivered to my i got mcdonald's delivered and i looked at the menu I was like, oh, the Big Tasty.

57:44I heard about this on front and center. And I had no choice but to try it. And McDonald's is better overseas. Yeah, definitely. The McDonald's quality. I don't know exactly what they're doing over there. I think there's stricter rules about what you can and cannot put in food. Well, it's pretty spectacular. And the Big Tasty was very good. I haven't got some chicken nuggets on the side. Yeah. And a good time was happening. I had some McDonald's fries in Milan. They were good. They're pretty good. Much better. Being alone in a hotel with some McDonald's in a foreign country is, you know, that's a special treat that, you know, there's great joys in life.

58:23You know, eating a bagel. All my great joys involve food, apparently. But the chicken Big Mac comes with the signature sauce, pickle, shredded lettuce. And yeah, it's a big focus of CEO Chris Kompensky, who said it's focused on adding, quote, growth drivers like chicken. And that customers have been clamoring for the chicken back ever since it's made some appearances around the world. So yeah, I wonder where it's going to go. It's going to Miami first. That feels weird. I feel like Miami's not the right target for a chicken Big Mac. They probably have some data. Yeah, yeah. They're also testing the Big Arch.

59:06I think we've talked about this too. No, was it the Big Arch? Yeah, it's like a Big Mac, but it's just a little bit more meaty. Wait, is that what you had? The Big Arch? No, I had the McTasty. The Big Tasty. What is the McTasty? The Big Arch. I'm lost. The Big Arch is like a sort of - I thought we were talking about the Big Arch. hmm i got my brain we make up the mick tasty no i'm looking at it right now what is the mick tasty no the big tasty is like a it's like a one of a kind it's got like tomato it's got like this new type of cheese uh it's got some undisclosed sauce on it oh okay yeah it's it's it's excellent i highly recommend the big and tasty um yeah but it's it's got different maybe it's got different names in different places.

59:52Wow. Oh, God. We can't keep up with McDonald's. But I'll just say, shout out to McDonald's. Way to innovate. Way to keep pushing the envelope. Way to keep trying new stuff. You got a great brand. And people want newness. That's what the people want. They want to try something that they've never tried before. And a chicken Big Mac has got my attention. Sure. I like a McChicken sandwich from McDonald's. And this photo looks aggressive, but you know it won't actually look like it'll be smushed down quite a bit i want to see this chicken big mac i want to see a real photo

1:00:28i'm starving uh that's really the truth here kevin all right let's wrap it up and that's probably where we should end this podcast okay i saw a real photo of it and yeah it looks uh significantly more squished but hey i'm here for it it's five dollars and fifty cents that is essentially that's a deal so uh shout out to mcdonald's uh sponsor the pod and uh kevin it's been a real pleasure here today. I will say that. Yeah, good one. Kind of just, this is the podcast. So if you didn't know what we would do around here, that's it. That's pretty much it. Well, we probably have one next week.
