I'm Michael Magnano, a partner at Lightspeed. We're a global venture capital firm backing bold founders with big ideas across the enterprise, consumer, fintech, and health sectors. For over 20 years, Lightspeed has been the first investor and an early backer of some of the most innovative companies in the world, including Snap, Rubrik, Affirm, Epic Games, Nest, AppDynamics, Garden Health, Grubhub, and many others. We've also been actively investing in AI for years, with over$1 billion invested across more than 50 AI-native companies.
0:46Before I joined Lightspeed, I was the co-founder and CEO of Anchor, the world's biggest podcasting platform, which was acquired by Spotify in 2019. When I was personally building my company, I learned so many lessons by listening to podcasts that interviewed founders of companies from the mobile revolution. And when we looked around Spotify and YouTube for podcasts that were putting a spotlight on the people actually building the AI revolution, we couldn't find that many. And so we decided to launch our own show and that is Generative Now. This is a podcast where we talk to the builders who are creating the world's most exciting AI products and companies.
1:22We'll get their perspectives on how AI will impact the world we all live in today, right now, and in the future. Our goal is to publish weekly episodes featuring conversations that are as interesting as they are insightful. And we hope you come along for the ride.
