In short
A “bonus episode” where Ant and Dec sort months of YouTube comments into three piles: file (to respond/action), pile (to ignore/forget), and shred (to discard). They also trade personal anecdotes and do “food” and “admin” segments, including trying a viewer recipe and using Gemini for post-golf stretches/yoga.
Guests
No guest hosts appear; the “guests” are commenters/viewers whose messages are read aloud (e.g., Jemima, Fiona, Christopher Webb, Simon Richards, Sean, Ashley Nixon, Tara, Gemma, Holly May Wood, Les Price, Julie, Craig, Emma, Kim, etc.).
Key claims
Declan “has never watched Jurassic Park”; they plan to compile a list of classic movies Dex hasn’t seen; they’ll blacklist a listener named Greg Jameson; they’ll try Scottish “butteries” and Scottish macaroni pies; they debate Marmite/banana sandwiches and jam vs marmalade.
Notable examples
“Let’s file a pile / oh that’s shred” system; Gemini-rated pigeon pose done on a conference table; trying Christopher Webb’s Marmite-and-banana sandwich; “Greg’s is rubbish” comment leading to shredding/blacklisting.

1:33Declan Donnelly:Hi everybody! Hello everyone! Welcome to another bonus episode of Hanging Out With Me and Him. Welcome back to the hangout. What the bloody hell is going on here? Well, we are now five months in to the podcast. We launched in January. And I'll be honest with you, we've got a lot of admin that's been piling up. Admin? We've got a lot of stuff. Who cares? Oh, you've got to do your admin, Ant. Do you? Come on. My wife does all of that. She does. I'm not being sexist. She's great at it. I'm terrible at it. Well. Terrible. She's really good. She hasn't done any of ours from the podcast, so we have to go through it.
2:08She would. She would. She'd like it. She'd like it. She'd love it. She loves stationery. She'd love these things. We've got little trays in front of us. One says file. The other says pile. If we file it, that means we're going to action it. If we pile it, that just goes into one of my infamous piles, which we just kind of forget about.
2:27Declan Donnelly:On your wife's nerves. Yeah. Don't take that pile home. No. Whatever you do. And then under the desk, we've got shred. Oh, good. If you particularly hate a comment or a thing, we will shred it. So, Jemima, can I ask you something? Yes. What are these? What are these piles of paper I see in front of me labelled Deck Ant Food General? These are many. We have sifted through all of our YouTube comments. We've pulled out things that we probably need to get back to people on. Right, okay. Oh, God. Yeah. Never go through the comments. No, I like going through the comments, actually. Never do it. Do you not?
3:03Never have, never will. Oh, I love it. Some absolute zingers in there. Is there? So you might have read some of these? Might have done, yeah. It's so serious, this. Struggling with that? It's so serious. We've got, what do you call these? Strings? String on our glasses, so we can do that, and we know where they are. I could have these every day, actually.
3:22Declan Donnelly:How did you really struggle? Why did you struggle so much with putting your glasses on? I didn't want to knock my wig off. Hey!
3:31Declan Donnelly:he says he says as he struggles with you've got to go further up the thing you see what do you mean it's come off it's caught on me yeah I'm not used to wearing glasses I only have to wear them in emergency situations what do you mean like if somebody downs 999 you put your glasses on I need to put my glasses on no when my eyes get really tired in the evenings or I'm really tired in the mornings I might need to wear them but other than that I try not to because all I've been told is the more you wear them the worse your eyes get is that true? as a glasses wearer for a long time you're wearing them more now than I've ever seen you wear them exactly because they're getting worse and now I've got varifocals this is boring isn't it let's file a pile is there a jingle?
4:14let's make one up all together now let's file a pile oh that's shred thank you Fiona
4:24this is from Three Spoons of Joy It's a funny name, isn't it? Yeah. Is it Welsh? Like Bethan, doesn't exist. The funny thing is, when you send something via the post office... Why did you laugh? Did you read it? No, I'm just like, the funny thing is, we'll be the judge of that. When you send something via the post office, you have to tell them what's inside. Imagine explaining, it's a crisp.
4:52Declan Donnelly:It's a what? It's one single crisp. It's a crisp. Just one crisp. And we've got the crisp. We do. It's still good. Look at it. It looks exactly the same as when it first got here. It's lost some of the order. Has it? Yeah, it has. But none of the texture and none of the form. It's kept its form. Form. F-O-M. Form. Form. Form. Form? No, there. Another Form Form Form man Form Form I'm forming in a minute Were you Form I said that shut up So I said none of us form Why are you laughing I've got the same accent as you Form Form Form Form Form Form Form I said form None of this screaming makes a good podcast.
6:00What are we going to do
6:00Declan Donnelly:with that, the crisp? It's funny. It's funny. I'm keeping it. I'm keeping it. We're fine with it? Yeah, it's funny. It made me laugh. Right. I'm going to do one that is just for me. Just for you? And you do one that is just for you. Okay. So, I would like to know more about Anne's other two coffee machines. Sanjay. Okay, Sanjay. Would you? Can you take this offline? We could take it offline. This is not interesting for the rest of us. But there's no email. So I'm just going to have to let you all know. So I've got your normal instant coffee, right? What's that? Just a spoon? Just a spoon. That's not a coffee machine though, right?
6:42Declan Donnelly:No, no, no. I'm just explaining my coffee station. I've got a station. A station? Yeah. So it's one corner of the kitchen. So in the drawer below, I've got coffee spoons. I've got sugar. I've got instant coffee and I've got mugs. Right? Listen, stop getting distracted with your phone and stuff. I'm talking. Sorry. That's the station. So how easy is that? I thought I could catch up on a few emails. How easy is that when you pull out the drawer and you've got that there? And above it, on the bench, I have got an espresso machine and capsules. All my capsules are there. I've got a proper barista-style coffee machine, like a big old one.
7:19Declan Donnelly:Put that down. Stop reading ahead. I'm talking. I don't even drink coffee. I've also got a smeg. It's like a coffee maid. So you can program the time that you want your coffee the next morning and you get filtered coffee. Look, everybody's gobs are sexy. It's got a white oven. So do you know about a tea's maid? Pouting. When we were growing up, tea's maids were a real thing. Do you know what would be nice? An alarm clock with a little grill in it that made you bacon for the morning when you woke up. Imagine waking up with the smell of bacon. By the side of your bed. By the side of your bed. Oh, you put it over on the chest of drawers.
7:59In your bedroom. Why not? You're grilling bacon.
8:01Declan Donnelly:You're making coffee? I need to eat. That's downstairs. I don't wake up when it's in the kitchen. Well, I could keep that in the kitchen. Yeah, you could. That I agree with. Right. I won't. I'll put it on my bed. What do I do with that? Well, I've answered it now. So, shred. Yeah, we pile it. Filed. Done. Filed. Done. Yeah. Okay. I'm still not sure of this system. Neither am I. You need to get my wife around. Sean. Sean says. Sean. My new claim to fame is I have the same size foot as Dick. Shame I've got arthritis in my hip and can't bend over and tie my laces anymore. Hey, just like you. Nothing wrong with me.
8:42No, I've got tight hips. Not arthritic. Thanks for the info, Sean. Interesting Sean fact for all you Sean fact fans out there. I think we'll shred that. Yeah, we shred that. It's all right. He's doing a full body workout.
8:55Declan Donnelly:Well, don't put it on the other things. What? Because we can't. Thanks for that, Sean.
9:03Declan Donnelly:Right, what do you want to do now? I'm going to do food. Because I'm peckish. And hopefully there's some nice recipe ideas in here. Guys! Listen, I'm reading. It's so rude. You're so rude.
9:22Declan Donnelly:Guys, if you fancy a treat, try Marmite and banana sandwiches. That's not me saying. That is Christopher Webb, who sent it in. What do you think of that? I don't like the sound of that. That sounds disgusting. Are you a Marmite fan? I can't remember. Did we talk about this? No, I don't mind it. No, you have to either love it or hate it. It's all right. It's okay. No, no, no, no. I know what they say. Oh, you haven't made it. Oh, and there's Wollich. Yippee. Here you go. Now, I love Marmite. And I love bananas. So this could be a sandwich that we both could enjoy. Or we're both going to be disgusted by.
10:05Declan Donnelly:It tastes sensation. So if you're just listening, it's white bread. Any butter on there? Just Marmite. No butter, just Marmite. And then bananas. Yeah. No sugar in the bananas or anything? Sweet enough. Sweet enough. Just like you. Shall we try it? Okay.
10:23Declan Donnelly:Come on then! Come on. It's okay. I don't hate it. I don't hate it. I don't hate it. That's bizarre. There's something weird going on in my mouth. And I like it. It's like there's a party on my tongue and everybody's invited. Yeah. I'm invited. I'm at a party. Great party, isn't it? I don't hate it. I don't... I quite like it. I quite like it. Banana and Marmite sandwiches on white soft bread. That is quite weird. I'm going in again. It's less good. Is it? No, it's okay. That's pretty good. I don't hate that. Well done, Christopher Webb. Okay, Christopher Webb. That is a very good suggestion. That is being filed for the future.
11:12Declan Donnelly:I mean, I think I'll remember the recipe. but just in case I don't it's in What was it again? How did I make that banana and marmite sandwich? On white bread. Okay, would you like to do a food one? Yeah. Do you want to say that? Take it? Yeah. Yeah, I'll take it and put it over there. Yeah, great. This next bit is brought to you by Gemini. Google's AI app. Golf was good the other day. It was good, wasn't it? I loved it. Are you stiff? Oh my God. I'm really stiff. Like, I never I never used to get this stiff. Haven't played golf. Obviously, we're getting a bit older. We need to stretch more. Don't we, though?
11:49We do. After golf, a lot of twists and a lot of turning. There is. I need to stretch. Do you want me to ask Gemini to see if there's a good kitchen stretch? I think that is a very good idea.
11:58Declan Donnelly:You should, though. A really quick stretch. Okay, let me... A good post-golf kitchen stretch. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm asking. I'm asking. Gemini, please, can you give Dex some stretches to do after golf in the kitchen when the kids have gone to bed? Okay. Gemini says, here's a quick, quiet kitchen routine for Dick. Hold each for 20 to 30 seconds and breathe deeply. Okay. The kitchen sink. Lat and spine stretch. So grip the edge of the sink. Step back. Hinge at the hips until the torso is parallel. This is the kitchen sink. That's it. That's it. That's it. Good idea. That's a good one. So breathe.
12:41Declan Donnelly:Breathe. Breathe. it's got me hammies as well and breathe out there you go well done counter quad stretch hold the counter for balance grab one ankle behind him and pull the heel to the glutes keep knees close that's it old school breathe
13:00Declan Donnelly:next it's good isn't it yeah do you want another one hamstring and calf hinge step one foot back with the heel down hinge forward of the hips keep the front leg straight and hands on the sink. This is the sink, remember? Oh, yeah. And breathe. I just like the breathing. The kids are in bed so you can't be that loud. Oh, yeah. That's a good point. Very good. I like a bit of yoga as well if there's anything a bit more. Do you want to ask Gemini? Yeah, come on. Let me just get my glasses out. Anything a bit more calming, you mean? Yes. Okay. Gemini, can you come up with some yoga poses that I can do?
13:38Gemini says, read these out to me so I can work this out.
13:41Declan Donnelly:Are you going to do it again? Yeah. Okay. Shall I read you, Hoth Pigeon? Yeah. From all fours, bring one knee behind the same side wrist. Angle in the foot inward. Slide the other leg straight back and lower the hips. Fold onto the forearms if comfortable. Yeah. Where you going? Oh, he's getting on the table. Don't get on the table. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a good football stretch, that is. Not a name, jeans. Hold on. Let me just see if Gemini rates your position. Can you hold that pose? Right, okay, I'm going to take a picture and upload it to Gemini. And then, yeah, attach that. And I'm going to ask, Gemini, rate this pigeon pose, please.
14:25Declan Donnelly:You can come sit back down if you want. Analyze it. Based on standard yoga alignment, here is a breakdown of this unique tabletop rendition of the pigeon pose. Unique. Climbing onto a polished wooden conference table definitely adds a level of difficulty. and risk to the furniture. Standard points for creativity, but a yoga mat on the floor is highly recommended for stability and grip. The front knee appears to be bent and tucked under the torso. In a classic pigeon pose, you want the front shin to be tracking toward parallel with the front of the mat or table. In this case, here it looks a bit compressed, likely due to the lack of space.
15:00Declan Donnelly:In those jeans. The extension of the back leg is quite active. A traditional pigeon pose relies on gravity to let the back leg, hip, and top of the foot Rest flat on the floor to deepen the hip flexor stretch. So an enthusiastic effort. Not bad. In jeans. In jeans. Let's not forget. He was wearing jeans. Let's not forget that, guys. Ah, so there you go. With Gemini, you can chat live with a truly helpful AI assistant. You jump in, get some fitness tips, ask for more details, or even show what you're talking about by sharing your screen or your camera as well. It's there for a real chat, not just a quick question and done.

15:38Declan Donnelly:Check responses, setup required, compatibility and availability varies. 18 plus. This is from Simon Richards. It's me, it's my turn. Yours are boring. I didn't write them, Declan. Coffee, coffee. Not to be dramatic, but you guys are my version of serotonin. Anton Dectonin from Mads Gordon. Is that, does that mean we're standing asleep? No, serotonin is good. Is it? That's good. That makes you happy. Oh, okay. I thought she was being rude. That's a very nice thing. Thanks, Mance. Thanks, Mance. That's it. That's all we've got to say about that. File it. We'll file that. I thought she was being rude since we stand up to sleep.
16:17No. I was going to smash her face in. No. Over the internet. One from Simon Richards. Yeah, come on. The one that you read ahead on. Eagly anticipated. Oh, yeah. OMG. Uh-huh. Declan Donnelly has never watched Jurassic Park. That is the most shocking revelation ever. Even the bloke stranded on a desert island for 50 years has seen Jurassic Park. Fantastic podcast. Respect, guys. Oh, thank you very much, Simon. I haven't seen Jurassic Park. There's loads of movies he hasn't seen. I kind of get it. It's that dinosaurs come to life and everybody gets a bit scared.
16:46Declan Donnelly:But you could say that about most movies. That's why I don't watch 11. No, but you could say that about Rocky. I can't get it. It's the underdog fighter that comes and wins the World Championship. Oh, but that is good, though. Yeah, but so is Jurassic Park. Justin Post is one of my all-time favourite movies. Is it? Yes. I should watch it for you. You should. I'm not in it. When you say that, I'll watch it for you. It makes me think that I'm in it, but I'm not in it. I'll watch it for you. So we've got a deeper bond. Like we need it. File it? File it? I mean, we should. I'll tell you what we will do.
17:22Declan Donnelly:We will file it and we should add to this, make a note, that we need to get a list of all of the classic movies that Deck hasn't watched and make them watch them. E.T.? Have you seen E.T.? No. Have you seen, I don't know, Lawrence of Arabia? No. Why? Why would I watch that? Because it's a classic. Is it? Yes. Okay. Goodfellas, have you seen Goodfellas? Yeah, I've seen that. I like that. Gremlins? Yeah, I've seen that. The Goonies? Yeah, I've seen that. Oh, that's good. Oh, good. I've seen a few. Teen Wolf? Yes, I love Teen Wolf. Oh, really? Not Team Wolf 2 though. No, no one watched Team Wolf 2.
17:57That was rubbish. Citizen Kane? Yes, I've seen Citizen Kane. I like that. Let's have a general. Is it your turn or my turn? Yes, it's my turn. Thank you. Oh, mate. Takes so long over it.
18:06Declan Donnelly:Unpopular opinion. Greggs is rubbish. What? No, no, let's read it. Let's see what he has to say. Let's see what he has to say. No, no, no. Press it. I've ruined it now. Who's it from? First of all, let's name and shame. Greggs is rubbish. From who? It was at its peak in the... You're sending it in. Hold on. Greg. Greg, Jamie's son. Greg's is rubbish. It was at its peak in the late 80s, mid-90s. Now, me a shadow of his former self. Back in the day, the Greg's Whopper was a thing of beauty indeed. And the pastries were actually nice. The bread was better quality back then too. Greg, I don't know what you're talking about.

18:47Declan Donnelly:That is... Sacrilege. Sacrilege to us Geordies. To anybody. To anybody who likes a pasty, you're talking absolute nonsense. Shred. Shred that and everything you write from now on. Never listen to our podcast again. We don't need him. We don't need Greg. We don't need him. We don't need him. See ya. Blacklist his name. Action. Blacklist him. Not only can he not write in, he can't listen to the podcast anymore. Or watch us on any TV shows. That's it. Can I just have an unpopular opinion as well? Greg Stotty's aren't as good as they used to be
19:31Put you in the shredder I think they're not as good as they used to be What? I don't know if they changed their mind They're a bit smaller I think they're smaller And I think they've changed their menu a little bit
19:42Declan Donnelly:They're smaller because you've got bigger You idiot That's how things happen when you grow up Oh maybe Things that seem big to you as a child Seem small to you as an adult That she's grown up. Is it though? Yes. Is it? Yes. Right. This one's from Julie. Why does Dec always refer to his wife as the current Mrs Donnelly? It's like he's going to swap her soon. Yeah. You said it, Julie. Yeah. Let's put that in the pile and leave it on the top so Mrs D can see it. Let's have another food one. That's all it's here. I totally don't wear them. For a Scottish food to try, you should try and get some butteries.
20:24Declan Donnelly:They are a pastry. Toast them and smother them in butter. So good. Ashley Nixon. A butteries? It's what? Pastry. They're a pastry. Toast them and smother them in butter. So good. Butcheries? I should have read it in the Scottish accent, really. Do it again, then. For Scottish food, you should try some butteries. They are a pastry. Toast them And smother them In butter Butter Butter How do they have The strikes Will they say butter? Butter Butter Butter They're so good Ashley Nixon Butcheries Can we Have we got a picture Of butchies? Pop it on the screen You can get them in Triple A and double A size Because it sounds like batteries Yeah no no We get it Yeah we got it You got it There wasn't much of a laugh Oh Oh, this looks, this looks so me.
21:23Declan Donnelly:So hold on. Is it just pastry? You're just eating pastry. Wow. Yeah, that sounds healthy. The Aberdeen buttery. I'd love to try it though. They look like they'll keep for quite a while. I fancy them. They're a bit me then. Bit of butter and jam. We're going to try some butteries. Let's file that. Who sent that? That was Ashley Nixon. We're going to try that, Ashley. Stay tuned for that. It's from Tara. How do you think it's going so far? It's okay. Yeah? It's not bad. It's good. It's good. It's okay. Once had a taxi driver tell me... Did you? Oh, you dirty devil. Oh, sorry. You're going to lead on to say something else.
21:59Once had a taxi driver tell me he saw... Once had a taxi driver... Tell me he saw Bigfoot.
22:06Declan Donnelly:Oh! Was it? Yeah. In Whitcher, Hampshire. Walked down in front of the... Walked down in front of the car he was driving. I echo what you're saying. There must be truth in the origins of the story. That's from Tara. Right. This is not what we meant about origins of the... There is no way Bigfoot is walking out in front of traffic. In which church in Hampshire? There's no way. There's no way. A guy with a Bigfoot, maybe. One Bigfoot. That's understandable. No, I'm not having that. The taxi driver is talking rubbish. Tread him! Sorry, Tara. Tread him!
22:46Declan Donnelly:Next one. Oh, I get really short ones. You should get them. I'm actually quite impressed at how clever and knowledgeable Ant is. From Gemma. Thank you, Gemma. Violet. Was that the end of the story? Yeah. That's the end of the... Yeah, look. Thank you, Gemma. Recommendations for Scottish foods for Ant to try. Hooray! They all come in at once. macaroni pies proper Scottish ones from Laura Lou macaroni pies is that pasta in a pie? here you go also from Aberdeen oh yes I have had these I've had a macaroni pie before they're so good and they've got a little bit of like minced beef or is it haggis? oh I hope it is haggis because you know I love haggis so for those of you just listening it is like a pie casing with macaroni pasta in it, a bit of a cheesy top and a little bit of like mincey beef on the bottom.
23:48Declan Donnelly:Yeah. Do you remember that nanny that we had? Yes. Bring the pies down from Scotland. Yes. I think one of them was macaroni pie and I was like, no way. And it was lush. Absolutely lush. Got a very interesting one here from Gem. Thing is, she says. I like how she started it. Yeah, I do. Just straight in, no high, no nothing. Just in. Thing is. Thing is. if Paul McCartney was replaced so long ago then the guy we have now surely just deserves to be him at this point like he's been putting the time in says Jem yeah I think I think she raises a very good point pilot because if he was replaced like early doors when Paul McCartney was young he's been Paul McCartney for longer than Paul McCartney and he's still done really good work like really good work in some ways he's better than the other Paul McCartney Yeah, I agree.
24:41The other Paul McCartney was never as good as this Paul McCartney.
24:43Declan Donnelly:No, this Paul McCartney, you know, he's had different bands. He's had solo careers. He's two of the world. He deserves it now. Yeah, he deserves it. Well done. That's very good. Well done. We should have another one for excellent. Like gold star. Yeah. Gem. Yeah. Great message. Star pile. Well done. Well done. I've got one here from Holly May Wood. She says, Hi guys, me and my mum have watched this video together and she's told me to tell Anne not to wear stripes on the podcast because it looks weird in the video and it hurts her head. I don't care. Shred it. What? I don't care. No, you've got to take feedback like this seriously.
25:21Declan Donnelly:What person? She might just be having an off day. Did she already have a headache? Probably. Apparently not. Really, it was my jumper, was it? It was your jumper. No, no, no. But maybe she speaks for... She doesn't speak for anyone other than herself. I'm going to go straight in with another one if deck wore shorts wouldn't they be considered trousers look at that file in there in there shred it shred it oh it was a zinger as well I'm going to get that out I'm going to sip through and get your name and I'll come around and smash your face right in I this is from V said I would like to see Anne packing your suitcase live on the podcast that's a great idea with makeup and hair stuff too Come get ready with me Come get ready with me As we pack for a weekend away That'll be great To Barcelona Oh, put your guard We're going to do that Okay, let's do that Let's do that Hold on, I've got to do makeup and hair Well, yeah, all your toiletries, I think she means A good replacement for a swear word I use Fujitsu Oh, that's good Trust me, it works Love the show Love from Maginblue Maginblue?
26:33Declan Donnelly:Maginblue Magin Magin? That's made up. It's made up, isn't it? It's made up to get me to talk about it. Imagine. Imagine blue. Imagine blue. Can you imagine blue? Fujitsu! You might get sued for that, though. Is that not a trademark? Yeah, but what are they going to do? Come to your house and arrest you? They might do. Who's a trademark? Fujitsu? Fujitsu. Is Fujitsu a car? It's a car, yeah. It's a telly, isn't it? I thought it was a car. Electronics, yeah. Is it? What am I thinking of? Is it cameras? Cameras, yeah. Cameras. Oh, Fujitsu. That's a good one. This is from Les Price. Or it might be French.
27:17Le Price, I don't know. The Price. Ant is dead right. Thank you. Ant is dead right. Thank you. There is a wall around Antarctica. Airport security. I'm listening. Anybody who arrives at security with water, liquids not on a separate bag and all the other things not in order should be sent to the back of the queue again. Agreed. If they miss their flight that's their tough luck. Did I say that? That's very harsh. That's not me. Were you having a bad day? Had you just come back from a flight?
27:51Declan Donnelly:I think that was you. Was that me? Yeah, I would never want anyone to miss their flight because I'd seen it happen to somebody in Portugal actually and the guy was late and he was like excuse me, excuse me and he was like do you mind if I skip past I'm going to miss my flight. And these people ahead of us, we said yes, he got ahead of us. They said no. And he missed his flight. No. And it made me feel sick for the poor lad. And he was a bit sweaty. He was obviously being on a stag do. This kid clearly needed to get home. He was in a whole world of pain. You know what I mean? He had to get home and he wasn't allowed.
28:26Declan Donnelly:So I wouldn't. File or pile? Missed the flight. Pile, pile. You can't do that. You can't do that. Get some Glutie Dumplin' with custard down your neck. Best Scottish dessert ever. Why are they all from Scotland? From Linda. Glutie Dumplin' Picture of Glutie Dumplin' by any chance. Sounds like a pet name, that. Hello, my Glutie Dumplin'. Am I spelling it? C-L-O-T-I-E Dumplin'. Oh, I do... Oh, right. Okay. Right. This looks tremendous. I love fruitcake. I love Christmas pudding. Don't focus on the one. What's the one in the top left? If you're just listening, it looks like a stomach. Clouty Dumpling.
29:12Declan Donnelly:Now go to the one where it's been cut open. We can see the raisins. So it looks like, looks like Christmas pudding. Quick one here from Tori says, thinks our listeners should be called top bananas. Nah. No? Nah, nah, let's read it. as a collective Lottie says viewers and listeners of the pod should be named chums in homage to SMTV Live nah because we're all chums hanging out nah no so we're not doing top bananas or chums no Maddie says we could give away why are you just plowing ahead because these are all on the same theme Maddie says we could give away Belterbox badges like Blue Peter badges ok something in that isn't there to give away something to our members I think we should do a hanging out badge no?
30:02Yeah I agree for the hanging outers Yeah that's what it should be So I'll shred the top of knowledge in the chop and we'll keep badges
30:11Declan Donnelly:Egg mail What? That's the start of this next one Oh right Egg mail question mark Yeah You've gone very sorry haven't you? On Tyneside it was always egg and salad cream back in the day where you can keep the bits of tomato that they always put in kids party sandwiches with egg rank. Question, what do you think are each other's best and worst characteristics? What is that going to do with anything, Louise S? Shred. It's quite confrontational, that. It was, wasn't it? I didn't appreciate the tone. I didn't appreciate it, so that's why she got shredded. Good. A little bit of feedback here. Sophie says, I think Eternal Love has the cringest lyrics out of all your songs.
30:56Thank you very much. I agree.
30:58Declan Donnelly:Violet The suntan lotion That familiar smell I made you a necklace From a chain of shells The fire burning Our bodies yearning Round and round The wheels of love are turning From Sophie Uh-huh Then Lisa Marie though Yes Disagrees and she says No No This is like a marriage Loving the good songs Means accepting the cringy ones Oh so that means She thinks it was cringy too Oh so they both agree It was cringy Yeah they do They do But Lisa Marie is just saying We have to go with it should we file that yeah yeah yeah just so we remember swap it about for a bit guys let's do challenge deck from Aj fancy that challenge deck yeah I could do that challenge you to fight or something we'll get guys to come in and go I'll smash your face in see how you like it and as it goes on the guys get bigger musclier and do I have to fight them or is it just a shouting match well it's up to you you can fight them if you want you can smash their faces in if you feel like you can your glasses are broke again Yeah, should we do that?
31:59Declan Donnelly:Challenge deck, but it's actual fighting. Great. Okay, that's in the file. Thanks, Ash. Really good idea. Messreads says, anyone else? And I'd like to take a straw poll here from everybody here in the attic. This is from Messreads. I'd like to take a straw poll from everybody else here in the Hangout. Are we calling it the Hangout still? Well, I haven't been, but... This is from Messreads. Anyone else think it was weird to see an ant in short sleeves. Yeah. What? The honest says yes. What? It really threw me off. Jemima? Are you joking? Yeah. I felt that ill afterwards. I thought it was early.
32:39Like nauseous, just kind of like weird. Shut up, Jemima. Sexy? Sexy sick. It was too much, wasn't it? Yeah. It was so early in the run of podcasts as well. I wasn't expecting to see so much flesh.
32:53Declan Donnelly:You wear and wear the vest next week. nice what did you think he did he's on your camera and all I did it for him Jack you're new to Heckler's Corner relatively speaking what did you think you're a listener not a viewer I'm a listener so it didn't bother you exactly see you listen to it in the shower right I listen to it in the shower my kids come in and think that I'm talking to you on the phone that is nice That is nice. It's a very one-way conversation, though. Yeah, it is. Let's just listen. We just talk over them. We just talk over them. Jack tries to talk back. I'm surprised none of you like custard creams in your top three.
33:41Declan Donnelly:From Alam. Alam. Are you? Are you? Jed, we got, I mean, I got a bourbon in there. Yeah, you did. that was deemed quite boring I think custard creams are slightly more boring than bourbons they're very boring they're quite boring what you get when you like give blood or something custard cream I quite like a custard cream I do like it because it's not my top three I don't mind a custard cream but you're right it's a bit more blood donnery isn't it blood donner biscuit blood donner biscuit blood donner biscuit biscuit I love that talking over on spec guys from Britain you're going to love this podcast We're going to fire lightning.
34:26So this is from Craig. Could you sort out some doubt that is being sown out there, Anne? There's a lot of chat about this. So does Anne like or not like marmalade? I like marmalade. You do like marmalade? And I like jam. Ah, that's interesting. So on Why Don't You, were you lying? Or that was in the script? It's for content. For likes and clicks. Click and likes. Yeah, it was clickbait.
34:58Declan Donnelly:Clickbait jam hate. Ragebait. Yeah. Ragebait jam hate. Hashtag. Yeah, it was. Hashtag ragebait jam hate. I love most... Condiments? Not condiments, but preserves. To you? Yeah. Apricot, yeah. Tick. Blackcurrant, yeah. Tick. Raspberry jam, strawberry jam, marmalade. I like... There's a really good... Have you ever had ginger preserve? have. No, I have not. Oh, guys. Get it. Get it. Where did we get this from? Fortnum and Mason's. Oh, he's doing well, isn't he? He's doing very well. I've got a tent in a hamper from Alicia, speaking of find, from Britain's Got Talent. How do you feel about savoury condiments?
35:40You know, like your ketchup, like your barbecue sauce.
35:42Declan Donnelly:Like it, like it. I can't believe Deck is always the late one. He strikes me as a completely type A and a type B person. What is that? Shocking stuff. What's that? What is a type A and a type B? Like, organised is type A. Type B is kind of head in the clouds. Chaotic. Is that a blood type? How do you get... Well, I'm chaotic and unorganised. That's what they think you would do first. Yeah, well, I'm not. I might be chaotic, but my chaos is organised. This is organised chaos. Actually, I'm not very organised. Like I say, my wife does all this. Yeah. This is the most I've ever done admin in my life.
36:16Declan Donnelly:Is it? Yeah. It's fun, isn't it? Yeah. I mean, it's fun because we're shredding it. The fact I'm going to have to do something after this would chill me to the bone. Like if you're at home, let's just shred that bill. That's boring. That's all I'd like to do, Admin. That would be good. Type A and type B, I'm going to file because I'd like to delve into type A, type B. I'll pop it in a discussion jar, maybe. Yeah, well, you do, but we need more info. This one's from Emma. It's okay, Ant. Lots of Emmas, isn't there? Yeah, there are. A lot of them. I'd like to do a straw poll of what people are called because I bet the majority of our viewers are Emma.
36:53There's a few Bethans. There's not. There is. There's not. Lots of Emmas. Lots of Gemmas. Gemmas, Emmas. We've had a few Gemmas.
37:02Declan Donnelly:Yeah, Gemmas and Emmas. We've had a few Craigs today. Have we? No, we've had one. Sophie, she was good. Les Price, we've had a few Les Prices. No, we have not. This is from Emma. Hi, Emma. it's okay one of many you've got a generation of people on your side for the Jamie Oliver beef oh go on we hold him responsible for taking away our beloved turkey twizzlers oh yes of course he did turkey dinosaurs thanks to his school dinners campaign in 2005 yeah well I have to say I may have beef with him but I think that school dinners campaign was very good I agree very very good nobody should be eating turkey twizzlers but we should file this to talk to him about when he comes in whenever that is right last one last one which one do you want that one okay you asked for it this is from Kim it's not a made up name there are 21 Lueve aftershaves man be more specific oh god I'm really struggling with these I can't be much more specific I don't remember the name of it but they come in different colours and you're colourblind and I'm colourblind so he doesn't know the name and he's colourblind well mine's got a fern on the front does that help you?
38:22Declan Donnelly:it's got a fern on the front like a fern leaf whatever that one's called that's um Essentia Essentia that's the snidey one it's not the snidey one it's the one it's not the snidey one yeah it's not a dupe that's the one on Salem Bean and Bargains it's not it's not it's not he lies he lies right Poundland special that was fun That was fun. No? Why does nobody agree with me? That was fun. Was that fun? Was it fun? Will it come back? Don't know. Let's file it. Let's see. Is it? Right. Oh, we've got time for it. What do we do now? What normally happens at the end of admin? Actions? Do we need action things?
39:00Yes, John, to know what you've actioned.
39:02Declan Donnelly:Yes. Yes. What have we actioned? We will collate all classic movies. Stop. Hold on. Start again. Stop it. See, I'm tidying up. I'm a tidy type. People call me the ADHD one. Look at you, you don't stop. It's constant. We will collate all classic movies Dex never watched. We will blacklist Greg Jameson, the listener. We'll get you butteries, macaroni pies, colluti dumplings from Scotland. We will schedule an episode for Ant to Pack, Suitcase Live on the show. We'll make a podcast badge. We'll get some people for Dex to fight in Challenge Dumplings. I'm not sure about that one. Yeah, you're not. I'm not staying in.
39:40I don't think we can do that. A bit more info about type A and type B for Ant to read in his spare time and straw poll, all our listeners' names.
39:48Declan Donnelly:Yes, wonderful. Any other business? Any other business? I quite enjoyed that. Yeah, it was fun. That was good. That was really good. Oh, you're going to fall off again.
