0:05Hello! Hi! Hi! Hold on, you put the lights on. Hello everybody, good morning, good evening Welcome to Hanging Out With Him and Me, episode 2 We're back again, we've made it to episode 2 guys Good eh? That's not mean feat Coming up, we get the next instalment from Dex Diary We had a dressing room, chilled drinks and really big security guards Ant learns how to relax more You relax? What are you talking about? I'm relaxed. We tell the story of our biggest argument ever. Deck used a very, very loud expletive and then packed up the board game and went home. Yeah, I did. We delve into your letters in our postbag.

0:52Your nana's lying, your nana is a liar. I find out Deck snuck out to a concert without me. What VIP ticket? VIP, yeah. What a little dick. That's all coming up. Enjoy the show. Good reaction. Yeah, great. To the last podcast going out. Yeah, it was nice. It was really good. Strange because obviously we've never done this before and you do it and you send it out there and see if anybody likes it. And yeah, we've got some really lovely reactions. So thank you for all of those. Oh, hang on a minute. I've got a turn on our sign on here. Because we were nervous. We didn't know how it was going to go.

1:25But yeah, it seemed to have gone down well. Thanks for listening stroke watching. I got recognised this week. Did you? For being on the telly? No, from the podcast. How? Well, I was, I'd parked my car. I was looking for, you know, when you're on the app now and you've got to find the number of the place you're in to put it in to pay for the, you didn't need that detail. But I was there looking for the number. Somebody came up to me and he went, excuse me. Oh yeah, he went, respect guys. No, he did not. Did he? He did. Amazing. I was like, oh, he's listening to the podcast. It's the phrase that has caught the imagination of the nation.

2:06So much so, people are getting it printed on T-shirts and stuff. No, they're not. Are they? Are they? Aren't they, guys? Shut up. Respect, guys! Ant is sporting a very fetching, almost Frankie says relax style T-shirt. Dec says, respect, guys. But Dec also says... Life on the road, eh? Life on the road, eh? So do you know what? Have we got merch? That medium was right That psychic sister was right This is the first merch That's what she said She said merchandise Merch She said America So if you're watching Stroke listening In America I am wearing The first bit of merch Which will be available Will it be available To buy You can win it You can have it I'm never going to wear it again This is only It's only for comedic purposes It's very nice You like it?

2:59It's very fetching Good It's very cheap It's very cheap It's cheap to touch Yeah it is cheap to touch It's very sweaty I feel very sweaty in this 100 % polyester Don't stand near Any naked flames in that It could go up It could go up But yeah A very very nice reaction To episode one So we'd better make episode two Quite good Okay We've had some responses From people We got some lovely feedback Nice feedback We enjoyed very much Going into the comments And reading more I don't normally like Going into the comments If I'm honest with you You never read the If it's a newspaper article About you Like if you're in One of the papers And there's like comments at the bottom never read them no that was the first bit of advice we were ever given don't read the comments because anybody that leaves a comment in a newspaper is not going to leave a nice comment are they no they've not gone there to praise you they haven't gone there to praise you and I did it once and I'll never do it again because they're never good so let's hope that these comments are better thankfully I delved in at the comments and they were better do you want me to read you some of the comments yes please okay laughing and checking in from Western Wisconsin in the States.

4:07Jane was right behind the mystery door. So first merch, second America. I was hoping that it was going to be like a TV show in America, not a comment from the States. Western Wisconsin as well. Hi, Western Wisconsin. Thank you so much for the podcast. Hugs and love from Germany. Germany. Podcast was so good. I could listen to Dec talk over and all day. Sorry about that. I was a bit excited by episode one. Jokes aside, great first ep. That's lovely. Next one. I wasn't born... No, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. We can't just move on from that comment. This was so good. I could listen to Dec, talk over and all day.

4:50So, welcome to my life. Is what I like to say. We're friends. We're best friends. That's what you do. You get excited. You're allowed to jump in. You can talk over them. You can butt in. you can finish off the stories. I've got no problem with that. I've got no problem with your enthusiasm. Sometimes you need to curb it. We know that. But other times, I let you run free like a little toddler. Just go and have fun. So, go and have fun. Took me everything not to jump in there. I wasn't born when Dec wrote the diary entry. Good for you. Well done. Well done being younger than us. Well done. Enjoy your youth.

5:30Yeah, well done. I'm jealous of you. Enjoying the podcast could do with it being longer. Okay. That's positive. That's fair enough. That means they liked it and they want a bit more. Yeah, because the opposite of that was, enjoy the podcast, it could do with being shorter. You don't want that kind of feedback. Just relax and chat to each other. We'll watch. What, are you relaxed? What are you talking about? I am relaxed. I'm not relaxed now. Now I'm annoyed. Who puts that? Just relax and chat. And that's what we're doing? That's the whole point of a podcast? Jeez, hey, what? That's me, mother.

6:04Hey, just relax. Yeah, you're relaxed. Just relax. Frankie says relax. That's what it should say. Just relax. Just relax, T-shirt, by next week. It's not a podcast till you both drop the F word. Oh, p*** off. We'll have to bleep that. We've got to bleep that. Well, I'm trying not to swear. Just relax. Whatever you do on this won't affect your TV stuff. Good first round, though. Why are they imagining to relax as well? You obviously didn't look that relaxed on the first day. It's like saying to someone, calm down. Then that's a ho. Do you know what I mean? No, it does the opposite. Okay. Well, we're not going to just swear for the sake of it.

6:38So we will try not to swear. So go f*** yourself. We'll have to bleep that as well. Although it's lovely to say, isn't it? Yeah, it is. Isn't it though? We're all adults. We can say it. But we're bleeping it. Yeah, we're bleeping it. How's the week been? Yeah, it's been all right. I'm relaxing and just chatting now. Just relax and chat. Oh, I'll tell you what I did do this week. Go on. which is probably the most boring bit of information ever. Oh, that's a great trailer. Put that in the trailer. I bought a load of new underwear, right? Oh, God. No, because when we moved house, you know, like you just bring everything, don't you?

7:13And then you think, right. You bring your underpants. Of course you bring your, yeah, you bring everything. Your socks, underpants, all your clothes, obviously. And then I'm like, right, I'm going to sort it out. And the drawer was just full. So I'm going to sort all this out. Of pants and socks. Pants and socks. And I'm like, I need some new underwear. I've had these for years, like a decade. I think you could all probably go to HR after this conversation. I'm not sure you should be telling me this. I've held on them too long, right? So some were threadbare, right? Oh my God. Some were a bit like - Where is this going?

7:45What am I going to tell you? So I thought I'm just going to order, I'm just going to get rid of them and get some new stuff, right? Brand new house, brand new drawers. Let's put some - New year. New year, new me, new underwear. New pats. So I ordered some, but as I was clearly, as I was clicking on what to buy, I thought I was buying one. It was a pack of three came, right? But I ordered multiple versions of the one. So I thought I was choosing six pairs, but I was choosing six packets of three. So whatever the match is. 18. Yeah, this box comes like this, right? And I didn't, when I clicked through, I've just clicked through Apple Pay, bang.

8:28Didn't even, like, thought, what, six pairs of underpants? How bad can that be? I can't even tell you out loud the price. I can tell you, I'm whispering in your ear, because it seems flashy, but it wasn't. It was a genuine mistake. You can't use the word flashy talking about your underpants. Oh, your underpants are flashy. His underpants are flashy. Okay.

8:52I was going to immediately tell you the price, but I can't. No, you can't. If we guess. No, you can't. No one should know. My wife can never find out. Have you returned them? So as long as I don't mention it on the podcast or anything, she'll never know. Are they worth it though? Yeah, oh, they're really silky smooth. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, they're the best underpants I've ever worn. Ever. They want to be. Yeah, they are. I feel that I'm wearing nothing at all. And actually. And I can stretch, I can bend, I can do anything. Go on, go on then. Watch this. Look at this. Oh my God.

9:25I couldn't do that. He couldn't do that before.

9:34You nearly said it. I nearly said it. I nearly said it. I nearly said it. I'm sweating. I've got to sweat. But that's fine because they're very breathable. Sweat as much as you want. Oh my goodness. That is incredible. What a price, huh? I want to know. You'll never know. I can never tell. If you're watching this or listening to this, if I meet you personally on the street, I'll tell you. personally but I'm not going to just broadcast if you want to know if you say an out and about just say how much were your pants and then he'll know you've listened to the pod exactly and he'll tell you face to face and because of your loyalty I will tell you face to face that's good yeah unless you're my wife and I must hide it from you at all costs so just hey Ant how much were your pants yeah and you'll tell them I will tell them okay great that is my promise to you I pledge to you I pledge to you the listener stroke viewer.

10:26And then he will give you a little flash. No, no, no, no, no. Oh, I took it too far there. I went too far. Look, he's disgusted. That's what you get for talking over me, you see. My week's been pretty full on. Yes. As you know. Yes. So we done the podcast last week and during the podcast... You said to me... I said, I've got a bit of an itchy eye. Yeah. Didn't I? Yeah. You see, I think I might have a sty come in. Yes. That was... So we done the podcast. Then the next day, we didn't do any work. so we didn't see each other. No. This happened to me. Oh my goodness. Look at that. So if you're just listening, there is a picture on the screen of Ant and he looks like you've had a whack in the eye.

11:07It looks like, you know when you watch Rocky and at the end there's all the prosthetics and he's been beaten up and he's got a big black eye. It looks like prosthetics. Oh my goodness. If you can't see this, subscribe to Bellator Box. It's worth it. It's worth it. You need to have a look at this. That's the biggest star I've ever seen. I think, well, You look like Bear Grylls when you got stung by a bee. That's what it looks like. Yeah. So that blew up. So is it a stye? No, it said it's a blocked tear duct, but it's... You need to cry more. Well, apparently I do need to cry more. Relax and cry.

11:38Shut up. You'll make me cry. I'll make you cry in a minute. So I'm on antibiotics. This was me in the pharmacy getting the antibiotics. And you can see me eyes barred. You can tell by my expression. I'm not in the best of moods because my eyes like this on my day off ruin my day off but as I picked up the antibiotics the pharmacist asked for a selfie no way I swear to God and that is not just for comedic effect because I'm doing the podcast the story on the podcast he's like do you want to have a selfie mate now I mean of course I said yes but somewhere out there there's a pharmacist with a picture of me and him so if you listen to this and it's you my pharmacist Send in the picture, will you?

12:23You didn't try and cover it like Gabrielle or anything like that? I did kind of try to stand in front of the chapsticks, you know, the things at the front of the chemist like that to try and hide it. Oh, no. Try and hide it a bit, but it was too big. There's no hiding that. That is amazing. So it took a while to go down, right? Like days to go down. And I saw you since, didn't I? It was bigger. It's getting better. It's still not fully gone. But then we did Graham Norton and it was still there. So we had to get lots of makeup on it. Claude, who does all make-up, is, she's great, isn't she? She's the best.

12:55Best in the business. She is. She's a witch. A white witch. So, yeah. It felt like it was bought with an orange. That's how bad it felt. It's getting better. Not a banana. Not a banana. Maybe too many bananas. Maybe too many bananas. Oh, my God. This would be a disaster. That would ruin your life. That would ruin my life. I love bananas. Is that your main food group? Yeah, it is my main food group. That and meat. That and meat from the butchers. Oh, talking of meat. Have we got a butcher update? We were all on tender hooks after the first episode. Very good. Tender hooks, I like it. It's good.

13:30Because you trailed that you were going to try his kebabs. Yes. In episode one. How were the kebabs? I've tried the chicken kebabs, which were marinated in like a piri piri sauce. Magnificent. Magnificent. Really good. Really juicy. Really big. There's a lot of them. And then we had beef kebabs. Yes. Kept them for the weekend. Interested in these. Spicy, I like them. Ooh, I like that. Yeah, you'll like that. Next time you come around, I'll make it then. Great. They're really good. And I went to go to get a big joint of meat for my Sunday roast, but it's not open on a Sunday. So I should have checked that before I went into town.

14:04Also, you've left that late if you're going to get your meat on a Sunday for your Sunday roast. He's up early, isn't he? Wilder's up at like 6am. So I thought, he's up early. I'll play with him for a bit. I can get down there at nine o 'clock. I can still have it in the oven by 10, eat at three. Do you not plan what you're going to eat for a Sunday roast before the Sunday? In me head? Oh, like on Wednesday I'm going... What do you mean? On Wednesday I'll go, pork this Sunday. But when do you buy it? Friday or Saturday. From? The butcher. So you've got a butcher. I do have a butcher. You failed to mention your butcher.

14:40I do have a butcher. Come on, tell us more. He's just, he's been there for many, many years. and I am just hooked on his sausages. See, again, butcherism there. Great sausages. Pork and leek sausages. Oh, lovely. They're the best. Does he have a private reg? No, he doesn't. He doesn't. Sausage would be a good private reg. Wouldn't he? Wouldn't he? If you're out there and you've got the private reg sausage, please send in a picture because I'd like to see it. Somebody's got the sausage reg. Send us a picture of your sausage. What? Oh, what? This is all going to be dark, has it? Don't do that. Don't do that.

15:16So yeah, that was my week. Yours? We did. Graham Norton. We did. Had a very nice time on Graham Norton. Sat next to the lovely Claire Foy. Yes. Well, here's the thing. It wasn't on the show. This just came out in conversation. She told us that she was a runner on CD UK. No way. Oh yeah, she was. That's right. Yeah. Her first job in telly, she was a runner on CD UK, which got me thinking about people that we've worked with who've gone on to become famous. One of the hairy bikers used to pick us up from school. What? What does he do? And look, like, he just got in his car. Cy King. Yeah. On his bike.

15:55Cy King was a runner on Biker Grove and used to come and pick us up from school to take us to Biker Grove. And he's red Sierra. Sierra, yeah. Port Sierra. Yeah, very nice man. We've seen him since and we talk about it. He's a very, very nice man. Never had any lovely little treats for us to eat on the way out. Nah, he could have pulled his finger out and did a bit of cooking then. A cottage pie in the passenger seat. That would have been nice, wouldn't it? On the way to bike to grow up. Yeah, I'll have a sausage roll. Home cooked. We've had some ideas for movies for us two. Have we? Into the pod this week.

16:27Should we read them? Do you want to start? You've got it. This is from Chloe. I think you two would be good in a film where two detectives... There you go, you see. ...and deck. Thank you. Sorry, I like the way she clarified it has to be us two. Yeah. You'd hope so, considering she sent this into us two. We solve murder cases together and basically they're like twins so they can read each other's minds which helps them solve the cases together. How would that... How does that work? How does it help if I can read Dex's mind? I don't want to read Dex's mind. No. I really don't? I mean, that wouldn't help you find the murderer.

17:04Just read in my mind. I don't know who the murderer is. So don't read my mind. There's no point. You want to read the murderer's mind or the victim's mind. Somebody's mind. The dead victims' mind. Yeah, not each other's minds. Thank you, Chloe, but that's not a good idea. We won't be making that. We won't be making that. I've got one here. This one is an experimental short film. Hold on. An experimental short film. That sounds awful. It's experimental for one. So it's an experiment. Yeah. And it's short. That's good. That is good. Is it? Short. It's a short film. I want a proper long film. You don't like long films?

17:40No, up to two hours. Right. If you don't know this about Dec, he cannot watch a movie that is longer than two hours. Too boring. It's not boring. Some of the greatest movies ever made are over two hours. They are. Not for me, they're not. Go on. Sorry, back to this then. We've only got as far as experimental and short. It's an experimental short film. The film is titled... John. OK. Which one of us plays John? It follows an aspiring filmmaker, alone in a cafe, watching the world go by. Boring. What unfolds is a subtle, introspective meditation on creativity, ambition, and the unseen power of storytelling.

18:22A reminder that even the smallest moments can shape a future. There's no plot. There's no plot. What is this? No, thanks. We're not doing that one. Unfortunately. We're not making John and we're not making, this doesn't even have a title, this one. It's just the Mind Reading Detectives. No. Both film ideas this week are...

18:48I like that. Trombone. I found that. But thank you for sending them in. Respect, guys. Respect, guys. Thank you. Thank you for sending in. Respect, guys. Respect, guys. I respect you engaging with the podcast. if you have any film ideas you can send them in to us at hangingout at belterbox.com The bar is very low It's very low There isn't even a bar The bar's on the ground The bar is on the grass Now you know me I love a day I do know you I love a day What? I love a day A day? Yeah Well of course you love a day You love a day You love a night What are you talking about You know like National Dog Day Yes yes yes National Pizza Week National Burger Day National Sandwich Week, all that nonsense.

19:32That's what when we started doing Tastemates, I was like, let's just do days. Let's do fun days. He gets quite obsessed about things like this, doesn't he though? You know, you work with them. He's quite obsessive when it comes to things. Come on then, what's today? Today? National tickling day. It's National Tittle Day. No, it's National Puzzle Day. Oh God. I love a puzzle. I don't like a puzzle. Why not? My brain doesn't work that way. Were you one of those people in school when it was a maths question and it's a really long puzzle and you've got to work out how many apples is there. It's like, no, no, no, I just switch off.

20:06Do you like Sudoku? No way. I like a Sudoku on a plane, yeah. What do you mean on a plane? What's your film? Who's doing Sudokus on a... Oh, I like it. What are you on about? A Sudoku on the plane. No, I heard you, but have you heard yourself? Nobody does that. Yeah, do you know how far Australia is? I know because I fly the same flight as you and I watch a movie, I put my little pyjamas on and I watch a movie he's got very little pyjamas anyway good underwear though expensive expensive expensive underwear he'll be strutting up and down there with just his pants next to the air doing lunges if you see me do a lunge down the middle of the eye you know why test out the gusset and it won't rip it was National Puzzle Day so I've asked the girls to put some puzzles together for me and thee do you know what they are?

20:57no I don't so we've got to try and What do you do? Do you win a puzzle? I thought we could work together and read each other's mind to try and... If I know who the murderer is. To try and work the puzzle out. Has anybody got any? What has four wheels and flies? What has four wheels and flies? Aeroplane. No. It's not going to be an aeroplane, is it? Because that's not a puzzle.

21:25That's just a question. What has wings and flies? A bird? Correct. Well done. What has four wheels? Four wheels. Four wheels. What? Give us a chance. Come over. Shall I tell you? No? Literally had it for 10 seconds. What has four wheels? Four wheels. See, I find with these kind of puzzles, if you just keep saying it, eventually the answer will drop into your brain from the universe. Hang on a minute. What has four wheels? What has four wheels? What is four wheels? What is four wheels? What is four wheels? Are you four wheel? Am I four wheeler? Are we four wheel? Is this four wheels? What has four wheels?

22:14Hang on, what has four wheels? I told you to hang on, how am I going to gnaw? Just relax and chat. We don't need this nonsense. What has four wheels and flies? Not, it doesn't fly. It has flies. It has the insect. What has four wheels and flies? A fly infested car. Is that a lie? Yeah. A dustbin van. Dustbin van. Flies. Yeah. Good. It's not good. It's not good. It's not good. It's unsatisfactory. It is unsatisfactory. It's a bit, it's a bit smug. Isn't it? A juvenile. It is a bit smug. Yeah. A dustbin van. Even the way she said it. A dustbin. Any more? Any more to bother us with? Okay, go on. What has hands but cannot clap?

23:09A clock. That's easy. That's easy. Okay. Come on. Be better, Lola. Be better. Where'd she get up from a cracker? What has four fingers and a thumb but isn't alive? A glove. Yeah. Oh, Lola. We took us ages to do. Did it? I shave every day, but my beard is insane. Yeah, but do's a riddle, Fiona. I wouldn't say that on a podcast, Fiona. Do's a riddle. Come on, this is puzzle day. Make sure you shave on the day of the wedding, yeah? Have a little shave the morning you get married. Actually, the night before in case you cut yourself.

23:49Sorry, was that a riddle? Go on. No, I just wanted to let you know.

23:55I shave every day

24:04Oh god I never used to like puzzles I enjoy them now I'm sweating Do it again Do it again I shave every day But my beard stays Who am I? Fiona I shave every day but my beard stays the same.

24:27Oh, I don't know. It's not going to be as good as you. Just never tell us. Go on. Oh, Bob. Oh, yeah, that is a good one. That is quite good. That is good. It's better than a dustbin van. Yeah.

24:46This podcast is sponsored by Santander, who understand that getting started on a goal isn't easy. in taking a meaningful first step is how progress happens. This is all a bit new, bit scary, isn't it? It is, isn't it? Because I know it's just, we're sitting chatting. Yeah. And it's what we do a lot of the time. Yeah. But to record it. To record it. For other people to listen to it. To listen to is just a bit, yeah, scary. Scary. We kind of put it off for a while, didn't we? We kind of wanted to do it for a while, but we just kept putting it off. Didn't take the plunge. Too nervous. I have to admit, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night.

25:20I've had a few sleepless nights, especially last night. Didn't sleep a lot. But now we're here, I'm actually really enjoying it. I am. I've had a laugh today. I'm having fun. Yeah, it's good. Which has been really nice. Yeah. So I know it was all nerve wracking. It was a bit of a nerve shredder. But it was worth it. It was worth it in the end. It was. And that's what Santander is doing. Giving people the confidence to take that first step towards a goal that matters to them. Santander, it starts here. This podcast is brought to you by Gemini. Google's personal AI assistant So you're trying to expand your vocabulary I am So you want more I want more words I can use Round the kids That aren't swear words Yeah That always helps Shall I use Gemini?

26:03Give it a bash Shall I? Yeah Okay See what I can come up with Hi Gemini What are some baby friendly words I can use instead of swear words? That's a good idea You could use silly words like blimey or jeepers Is there anything a bit more modern, a bit more Gen Z? In that case, you could use things like, bruh, that's wild. Or just a dramatic oof. I mean, if I say the word bruh, it feels like I'm trying a bit too hard. Gemini, what does beast mode mean? It means putting in maximum effort and determination to achieve something. Does that make sense? It does. I could use that. Yeah. You should enter beast mode when tidying those toys away.

26:52Huh? Bro. Bro. Thanks, Gemini. With Gemini, you can chat live with a truly helpful AI assistant. 27:49If you can't see this, this is an image of Dec on his bed with curtains. He's got his diary, he's got his pen, and it was like he was 19 on his very colourful bedspread. It kind of looks like me. I think it's pretty good. I actually have a response from your diary last week. Send it over. That was amazing. Who did that? Jemima? Those of you listening, Jemima just threw in an incredible aeroplane. I didn't make it. Who made that? Lucy. Well done, Lucy. A wonderful set designer made that. Thank you, Lucy. Why don't you read it? See me putting me specs on. This is from Carrie. Hey, guys. Have a listen to your podcast, which was absolutely brilliant.

28:39Thank you, Carrie. Thanks, Carrie. Just leave that there. Just finish there. I'll make a play now. No. She says, when Dex started reading his diary, I realised I was there. I was at Portsmouth Guildhall on the 28th of March, 1994. No way. Me and my friend Steph had got a National Express bus, God, remember them, as excited 15-year-olds and travelled from Devon, where the best time and loved the whole show. So funny and I can't quite believe that was 32 years ago. Thanks, guys. Loving the podcast. Carrie. Oh, that is amazing. Wow. I sometimes think about that, like people who came to our shows and stuff when we were younger.

29:17What are they doing now? What are they doing now? Yeah, I think that. And also, the kids that are on Challenge Ant or the kids that I shouted at on Wonky Donkey, I would love to know, like... If you were a kid on Challenge Ant and we, like, say I beat you or you beat me, I'd love to do a rematch with the kids now. Wouldn't that be good? Oh, we should do that on the pod. Should we do it? Let's do it. Yeah. So if you were one of the kids on Challenge Ant and you'd like a rematch, because I beat you, or you beat me and I'd like a rematch then yeah get in touch show us a picture we need proof we need proof of you then and then and only then I'll take you back on that'd be great I'd love to hear from kids who've done Challenge on and Wonky Donkey and pictures of them come and see PJ Duncan on tour that'd be cool that'd be really good that'd get the old memory juices flowing it would wouldn't it would you like to know where we were on the 29th of March 1994 yes I so would but I so wouldn't at the same time day two Did too.

30:13Didn't get to sleep last night till after 3am. 3am! Because if you go back to the diary from yesterday, it was 1am. And you said, I best go to sleep now, it's 1am. Yeah. So what happened in the next two hours? I have no idea. Oh. Maybe I sat up writing my diary. Was that story? Probably. Surprisingly, I wasn't too tired today. We set off at 12.15. What? What? We set off at 12.15 for Radio Coventry in the car. We need to tell everybody that they work you like a dog. When you do pop star stuff, they work you like a dog. We're not starting our day until 12.15. That's not working hard, is it? No, it's not.

30:50I remember these days being a lot harder than this. Yeah. The cards arrived at the hotel in Bristol. They've arrived. The cards have arrived, guys. Hooray. The autograph cards. So they helped a lot. How did they help? At the radio station, I have no idea. God. But they helped a lot. The cards arrived. Oh, is a lot written? In capital? No, just a lot. A lot. Right. New paragraph. At the radio, the station was a small booth thing in a shopping centre.

31:20Well, the interview went very well. And we were both pleased. Oh, my God. So you were pleased too? Yeah, we were both pleased. Was that you and the interviewer or me and you? Oh, could it be me and the interviewer? Yeah, I'm irrelevant in this one. We travelled to Northampton Oh And arrived in hours of time That's not like me is it? It's not like you How things have changed Checked into everything Checked into the hotel What was the hotel? Another four day travel lodge? We'll come to that Checked into the hotel And got changed At the Ritzy Everything was really well organised The Ritzy We're at the Ritzy in Northampton We had a dressing room Chilled drinks You did it right Chilled drinks a sound DJ and really big security guards big big big big is underlined so they must have been really big

32:26oh my god I need some water the crowd were brilliant and we must have signed over 100 autographs thank god those cards came huh But What? If they all buy the record that would be great Is that what you thought? Yeah It would have been great if they had of The girls got really excited and one girl got hurt bless her

32:50The hotel tonight Is? Is another travel lodge Oh good No hairdryer I really need one Perhaps there will be one at the photoshoot tomorrow Photoshoot? I bloody hope so What? Signed off Have you autographed your own diary? Yeah I sign that every page every entry I sign it Why was your autograph why would you do that? You honestly thought someone was going to publish your memoirs didn't you as we got on there Yes Well we're kind of all and that's what we're doing This is what we're doing Oh my god So we've got a photo shoot tomorrow Oh I can't don't tell me anymore I can't wait to find out who it was for It would have either been it wouldn't have been smash hits yet I don't think because we weren't that popular so it probably would have been like TV hits or I've just seen if it's with I'll put that back you can find out next week I'll tell you the photoshoot it was with next week very good who do you think go on hang on who do you think the photoshoot was with well the photoshoot because we weren't that popular we weren't popular enough to be in Smash Hits then right so TV hits and a push that was still pretty that was a big magazine to get in not Top of the Pops magazine that wasn't out then Jackie was that was Jackie a magazine there was like Miz Just 17 might mean Just 17 Fast Forward Fast Forward magazine where we met Andy Peters for the first time alright it could be Fast Forward magazine you'll find out next week oh it's gold it's gold it's cringy but hilarious it's cringy you want to be the one who wrote it and not just wrote it signed it off Declan

34:37We've had quite a lot of correspondence after last week's podcast. Amazing. A lot of letters, emails. Should I get the postbag? Yes, please. Here they are. Would you like to pick a letter each? Not a huge postbag, is it? Remember the ones you used to have on SMTV were like that big? Well, if you've only been going a week, I don't think it's full of letters. I think someone shoved a jumper in the bottom of it. Just to pad it out a bit. Yeah, feel the bottom of that. That's a jumper, isn't it? Oh, yeah. we've had a handful of emails is probably a better way of saying this would you like to read one?

35:10yes please yeah I'll take that one thank you and I'll grab one get my specs on and then we'll start reading hi Ant and Deck just wanted to give you the heads up that Liam Gallagher has suggested and I quote what? these are in quotation marks the little fella out of Ant and Deck should play Noel in the inevitable Oasis biopic the little fella Ant you're presumably eligible for the Liam role yeah subject to hair, accent and what other criteria Liam decides in that day. I could do that. We could play Liam and all. Easy. Do you think? Yeah. Yeah, there was a slight height difference. I met Liam. I'm probably about the same height as him.

35:44Do you reckon? I can pull off the old swagger. You can do the swagger. I can do the walk. You've got a not dissimilar gait to Liam Gallagher. Yeah, it's true. You do have a bit of a swagger. Can you do a Mancunian accent? All right, walkhead. Is that all right? You snorted like a pig then. All right. Lola. That was you. Did you record that? Listen. That was Lola. Lola. Piggy Lola. Yeah, we could do that. Can you do a monk accent? Do you want out from the shop? Do you want out from the shop, our kid? I do, yeah. I want a tango ice blast. That's good. That's the kind of thing I think Liam would like because he's quite weird like that.

36:22Yeah. Stop your chatting, you're pecking me head. That's good. That is good. Cast. We all are available, aren't we? Yeah. For the Oasis biopic. Biopic. I've got to work on the eyebrows, though. No, you've got quite good eyebrows. I have got, yeah, they're quite Gallagher-esque. Yeah. Just could get a little bit of marker pen, fill in the middle. Yeah. Because they were a bit unibrow when they first started. I do love Oasis, though. We went to the shows last summer. Brilliant, weren't they? Good, aren't they? We went here in the UK, and then I went and saw them in Australia. What? I'm such a big fan.

36:57I went to see them in Australia. With who? With the current Mrs Donnelly Wow I went with the wife Well I got to Australia Before you this year Didn't I Yeah What to secretly take it In an Oasis show And then I just Slunk off to Sydney For the night Did you Slunk yeah Good Did you like it She loved it yeah Did you like it as much As I would have If you took me As your date Probably not Yeah see But Can't she do a Mancini accent But she can't Two VIP tickets So I took the wife What VIP tickets VIP yeah Of who One of the band. One of the band? We got backstage beforehand. Shut up. No, you didn't.

37:34I did. I did. Who did you meet? All of them. Liam Nolan? Hmm. Did you? Mm-hmm. I didn't really. What a little dick. And yeah, I swore. Hey. That's just... Hey. What? Just relax. We might have a Gallagher-esque falling out in a minute. We might. This is from Nisha Says hi team Hey Yeah come on A bit more Come on be a bit more enthusiastic Nisha says hi team Hey Ha ha Ha Love the podcast And hearing you talk about normal life After Dec mentioned Wanting Kevin Keegan As his dinner party guest And then talked about Meeting him when he was seven I remembered He'd shared the photo Of that meeting In Smash Hits magazine Did I?

38:22Many years ago I was a huge fan In my teen years so I went into my Ant and Dec archives Tesco bag for life under my bed in brackets to retrieve the fallout please find it attached oh oh there it is there it is oh well done Nisha that is brilliant I'm sure Dec has brought in the actual one by now he hasn't he forgot truth be told he'd forgotten I did forget yes so thank you Nisha but I hope this one helps looking forward to the next episode very best Nisha look at that see it's true oh my god I got awarded to Declan Dolly in recognition of outstanding achievement at Kevin Keegan's Blue Star Soccer Day.

38:57That is brilliant. Can we zoom in on the picture of Deck and Kevin Keegan? So small. Oh! You look like Jack. I do look like. Oh yeah, you look like your son there. Yeah. That is still now one of the best days of my life. I bet. Meeting Kevin Keegan. He was my idol and still is. Better than going to see Oasis with your wife in Australia? No, that was a brilliant, that was a brilliant night. Met the band and everything. What a dick. We got any more? Loads, loads. We've got absolutely loads. We've got loads. We've got four. Georgie and Bo in Portsmouth Hello my favourite Georgies Hello Georgie and Bo You guys are always so happy and upbeat I love the podcast But my question is Do you guys ever argue?

39:39We don't really do we? No we don't No we don't We've had one big argument We had an argument over Who wants to be a millionaire board game Deck packed up the board game and went home It was my board game So I took it home Cause you Like the child Cause you Like the child that he is were a dick. I wasn't actually. You. It's what Chris Tarrant would have done. He would not. He would have. No. Of course he would have. You were so vindictive as a game show host. So it was a question, right, about a murder mystery. Come on, you'll remember it. I do. Murder mystery authors. Word for word. Murder mystery authors.

40:15And he got four options. Two of the options were Agatha Christie, Ruth Rendell, can't remember the other two. So I'm sat there and I go, So it was either Agatha Christie or Ruth Rendell. Made the mistake of saying that out loud. And I said, I'll take a 50-50. So you have to give your question thing over. And the question master closes two windows. So he closed the other two and left Agatha Christie and Ruth Rendell. Of course you did. Yeah. Would you have done that? Valid. See, valid. I was clever and valid. No, you weren't. Two of the words. Not vindictive. Clever and valid. It's what Chris Tarrant would have done.

40:54No. It's what the computer would have done. Which it is absolutely not. Anyway, Dec used a very, very loud expletive and then packed up the board game and went home. Yeah, I did. That was the end of the game. We've never played it since. Right. This is from Willow. Hello, Willow. Hello, Willow. Hello, Willow. Hello, Willow. Hello, Willow. I don't know if you remember, but back in the day you were once munchkins in a wizard of... Yes, because people like you don't let us forget. You were once munchkins in a wizard of Oz. at the Time Theatre and Opera House in Newcastle. I only know this because my nana Irene played Glinda and she tells everyone she knows.

41:33It's her claim to fame. Apparently, Dec played the mayor of Munchkinland and apparently my nana had to tell yous off all the time for being little sh**. Your nana's lying. Your nana is a liar. A liar. Your nana is a liar. If she's still with us, if she's not, Your nana's a lovely woman. Your nana's a liar. Your nana's a liar. It would be great to hear if you have any memories of this. My nana would be very pleased. Your nana's a liar. But I will tell you something. I didn't think we were that bad. Oh, yeah. Yeah, there we are. That was us. Not as munchkins. We were also soldiers. And if you can see, there's one of my early publicity photos on the door.

42:17Can you see this? Oh, my God. One of my early publicity photos. That was obviously mine. I loved an autograph card. This is following us through. Thankfully, my autograph card's turned up. Have you got a story about that lovely packet of crisps you're enjoying in the picture? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. As I'm posing for the photo, I'm eating what looks like a packet of McCoys. I still like a McCoy. I think they're Tudor. Oh, the Tudor. When Tudor did this posh. Yes. Posh ones. Do you remember Tudor crisps? Anybody? How many bag of Tudor? I came out for a bag of Tudor. They were the best crisps. I'd like to reintroduce them to the world.

42:55There is one more thing in the post bag that I just wanted to have a look at. Have you got it there, Jemima? Fly it in. Oh, you're a very good aim. Another great aeroplane just came in there, if you're listening. We have got the first suggestions for tattoos. Oh, good. For you. Good, good, good. Sharon has suggested Spider-Man swinging a golf club. Why Spider-Man? Tom Holland. Tom Holland. The golf club. Okay, no. No, thanks. Hey, this is not you to say yes or no, remember? I am going to curate, amalgamate Quantificate Ben from Redditch says To commemorate your devotion to each other What? And the 25 plus years career you've had together 30 plus 30 odd plus I think I should get an ant standing on a deck It's a play on both of your names And a bit cheeky No thank you No thanks No?

43:47A little ant with an antenna No I get it I get it Anton Duc? Yeah, no, no, no. Anton Dudek? No, I'd get Anton Dubek to actually do it. Yeah, that would be good. Rachel from Limerick said, there was a young... No, no. Oh, sorry, she's from Limerick. My idea for Anstatu is a washing line with two magpies representing Anton Duc, with a Newcastle jersey hanging on the line. Ideally, the jersey could be pinned upside down and have the number nine on it, representing Alan Shearer, but would look like a six for the six months of the podcast that will have happened when you get the tattoo. We've got the design on the screen.

44:25She's sent a hand-drawn design as well. Oh, it's pretty good. When you see it drawn out like that, it's pretty good. There's no nine and six, though. She's forgotten that bit. She's taken it from the front. Has she done this? Yeah, she did. She actually said that she would do it on the back of the shirt. Yeah, so maybe it's on there. We just can't see it. Hold on, unless she's got a tattoo both sides of my arm. So if she tattoos there, that's that side. That's a good idea And then the other side From behind And the washing line Goes all the way around Alright Maybe you could get it On your chest And then if you go around You've got the back On your back I've got tattoos On my chest I'm afraid Got my wife's name And you're not tattooing Over that And one final suggestion From Amber Hayes Is Baby John Polk I don't want to Tattoo with a pig No I'd really rather not I've got my dogs Where's my dogs You see the dog there Could have put a little On the end How's he going?

45:21Baby John Puck Baby John Puck We could do but he's not my pet does he? Can be take him home That's rude That's rude look after him that's a good place to leave it I think it's as good as any good as any Yeah good Stay in touch send anything in to us hanging out hanging out at belterbox.com give us a follow and a like and all of those things and subscribe if you're enjoying the pod if you're not but keep it to yourself we'll be back on Monday with another mystery door this is exciting oh I'm nervous now my thoughts constricted don't do that relax just relax
