In short

Ant and Dec hang out in Canada and start with Dex wearing a Montreal Canadiens onesie, complete with pockets and a “secret flap” for using the toilet. They recap a yoga class followed by a sound bath (gongs/bongs) that becomes tense when Dex falls asleep and snores loudly, ruining the relaxing vibe. They also discuss Canadian wildlife and a blue jay that keeps coming to their site, plus plans for a zip line and a “bear safari.” The episode’s main recurring segment is “Famous Guy Swaps Things,” where listeners offer swaps for Dex’s Rizzle Kick trainers. Shortlist contenders include limited-edition Beatles pin badges (1 of 2,000) and a porcelain dash hound decanter with shot-cup mugs. Ant/Dec ultimately swap the trainers for the dash hound decanter. They also mention a possible swap for Ant’s onesie. Later, they reminisce about meeting Oasis and discuss an Oasis documentary, plus listener questions about Christmas prep and future collabs.

2:31Declan Donnelly:Hello everybody!

2:33Ant McPartlin:Welcome back to our Canadian hangout for another hanging out with him and me. Well hello there buddy. Oh yes, that's got better. I've been practising. That's got better since last week. What the what?

2:43Declan Donnelly:Yes. What the, what the heck? If you're just listening. Well let me describe it. Deck is wearing, if you're just listening. Describe it. Oh, don't put your leg like that. He's cocked his leg to the side of the chair like he's some kind of adult model. And he is wearing a onesie. Is it a onesie? It is a onesie. With a hood. But it's not any old onesie.

3:10Ant McPartlin:Explain. It is a onesie of the Montreal Canadiens who are the ice hockey team that I wore on the cover of the Psych album to do Let's Get Ready to Rumble. So it's a full onesie. I saw it in the gift shop the other day. We went for a little wander through the village and I saw it in the gift shop and I just simply had to ham it.

3:36Ant McPartlin:I mean, it's horrendous.

3:38Declan Donnelly:It's horrendous, but it is incredibly comfortable. Is it comfortable? It is comfortable. Can you put your leg back the correct way please so you don't look like an adult model?

3:47Ant McPartlin:I won't be wearing it near any naked flames. Oh, no. Let me feel your arms.

3:52Declan Donnelly:For those just listening, I'm stroking Dirk. And he likes it. Yeah. A bit. Yeah. It's a bit hot. I'd be really hot. I'd be angry hot on that. It's warming up. It's warming up radically. You know when you get like a jumper that's too close to your skin? Yeah. And you just want to get it off.

4:10Ant McPartlin:Yeah.

4:11Declan Donnelly:Because you're getting annoyed. I'd be annoyed already in that.

4:13Ant McPartlin:Yeah. It's good, though, because I'm so comfortable. Uh-huh. that that kind of overrides any discomfort. And it's got a very special hidden feature. What do you mean? There is.

4:25Declan Donnelly:Got radio attached.

4:26Ant McPartlin:No, no, no.

4:27Declan Donnelly:To listen to the ice hockey games. No, not quite as good as that.

4:29Ant McPartlin:Not quite as good as that. But. Pockets. It's got pockets. Oh, yeah, it's got pockets. But it's got something extra good that if you put this on in the morning, you need not take it off all day long. Oh, I know what it is. there is a secret flap in the back

4:47Declan Donnelly:come on show us where you can just

4:50Ant McPartlin:you can just release yourself

4:53Declan Donnelly:lift the flap and go for a poo and go do you want to see it? well don't do the full demonstration okay just see the flap okay don't have a number two we understand what happens when the flap flap lifts oh yeah

5:08Ant McPartlin:I'm not going to do it right here on the table well you said it George

5:10Declan Donnelly:shall I do it do you want to see it

5:12Ant McPartlin:what

5:13Declan Donnelly:cover your eyes beaver

5:16Ant McPartlin:I'm not going to do it on the table I'll show you my flap Hang on one second Give us a twirl first

5:23Declan Donnelly:Come on, there you go There's the full thing if you can see There's the pockets They're low aren't they?

5:28Ant McPartlin:It's a bit of a low crotch

5:30Declan Donnelly:Is that because it's I think it's built for the taller gentlemen Yeah they are quite tall here in Canada Canadians are taller than us

5:39Ant McPartlin:See little twirl Little twirl and then if you just raise the flap at the back and then there's bits of Velcro there and then you can just

5:51Declan Donnelly:Oh! Okay! Okay! Now he's squatting down. You didn't need to squat. We knew what would happen next. You've got white boxer shorts on. I do. Good job you checked the skin marks before you did that. Well, I didn't check. Well, I was watching the camera. Are we all right? You're A-okay. A-hole okay The A is okay

6:20Ant McPartlin:So there you go

6:22Declan Donnelly:Don't put your leg like that

6:23Ant McPartlin:Sorry, sorry Can you get changed please? Do I have to? Yes please Actually I am going to get changed because this is rather hot

6:31Declan Donnelly:Okay get changed, get changed, come back in a minute Alright come back in a minute

Read the full transcript

6:42Ant McPartlin:Yeah, I thought I was still in my onesie.

6:44Declan Donnelly:No, you just like that position. We've had quite a nice time, haven't we? Yeah, we have. It's been lovely being out in the wilderness. It's lovely seeing Canada. It's so beautiful, especially around here.

6:54Ant McPartlin:And we've been working very hard.

6:55Declan Donnelly:We have been working hard. But there's always time that we save for a bit of dinner. See? Baby pork ribs. Baby John pork ribs. And a little bit of R &R. We did find ourselves at a yoga class the other morning. I know. I know. You didn't think so, did you? But we can bend ourselves into some shapes.

7:16Ant McPartlin:We got into a yoga class, opened our hips a little bit. Yeah, we did. And had a nice time. And immediately after the yoga class. It was at the hotel, wasn't it? It was at the hotel. Do you know what I liked about it, right?

7:27Declan Donnelly:So when you went in the room, you go in and the mats were there. And she was like, come on in. Welcome. She was a good teacher. She was great. She said, welcome to practice. She was like, we're not going to stress you too much.

7:37Ant McPartlin:Very yoghury.

7:37Declan Donnelly:We're just going to stretch you out, make you feel good. I was like, perfect. Because it was the end. Actually, it was the end of the day. It was, yeah. We had the race back after work. So we had the practice, yoga practice. And you looked out the windows and all you could see was pine trees. And it just really got you in the mood. I felt grounded. I felt centered. I felt calm. Good.

8:01Ant McPartlin:That is good. immediately after the yoga class. She said, are you guys sticking around for the sound bath? Well, we weren't going to, but I'll tell you what, we did. We stayed afterwards and had another kind of 45 minute, 40 minute sound bath. There was gongs and bongs going off. Bong and bongs. Everywhere.

8:29Ant McPartlin:There was gongs going off. It was bongs going. It was very, very relaxing. It was very relaxing. So relaxing.

8:40Declan Donnelly:Until. Until. Until. Heavy breather over here gets involved. What? I've never heard anyone snitch through their nostrils as loud as you. So, that's all I could hear for 45 minutes. Well, apart from the five minutes, I fell asleep.

8:58Ant McPartlin:Well, this is what I was just about to say. it was very relaxing until somebody fell asleep next to me and started going and then goes

9:09Declan Donnelly:yeah I am a puffer I am a little puffer my wife says that a lot I do puff I do puff not for long though because I felt myself go and I was like that right but I don't want to get it

9:19Ant McPartlin:it was longer than you think it was longer than you think I was so annoyed that's probably why I was heavy breathing I was so annoyed that you'd fallen asleep in the class I wanted to fall asleep in the class. You were asleep. You were asleep. You said you were asleep. I wasn't asleep. You were asleep.

9:35Declan Donnelly:Nobody breathes like that.

9:37Ant McPartlin:I was there. I was thinking, I'm going to drop off. I kept looking over at you.

9:39Declan Donnelly:I kept looking over. He had his towel on his eyes like this. Folding up. And first of all, I thought, I'm annoyed. Because I never thought about putting the towel on my eyes. That's a good idea, Dad. And where did he get the towels from? And then I looked. And I looked past him. And there was loads of towels on the table on the side. I was like, that's where he got the towel from? and he never said some kind of friend as he and he's sniffing as loudly as that. I was lying there

10:03Ant McPartlin:sniffing away breathing and I heard the snoring and the poof next to me and I got so annoyed I was like I wanted to sleep he's fallen asleep before me and that was really annoyed me.

10:15Declan Donnelly:Mind you somebody else in the class was louder than both of us.

10:19Ant McPartlin:One of our team joined us and was in the corner.

10:23Declan Donnelly:We won't name names don't worry.

10:25Ant McPartlin:We won't name names but but she's in the room. She's in the room. In the room. And wow. Four. Tell you what.

10:32Declan Donnelly:Those cockies are loud, aren't they?

10:34Ant McPartlin:I thought,

10:36Declan Donnelly:God, I thought there's a bear approaching.

10:43Declan Donnelly:So then we all kind of smiled and giggles. We should go on the zip line if we get time.

10:49Ant McPartlin:We're going to try and do the zip line, which is the longest zip line in the whole of America and Canada. We're going to try and do that. Yeah, we're going to try and do that.

10:57Declan Donnelly:Because we're brave. What else are we going to do? I'd like to go on a bear hunt. Not hunt. Catch a big one. We can't go over it. That's what I meant, bear safari. I would never, obviously, hunt a bear. That's the wrong use of the word. But there is a book. There's a kid's book called We're Going On A Bear Hunt. I used to love that. So there's bear safari. We've seen lots of other wildlife. We have.

11:16Ant McPartlin:We've got a lovely, we've got a pet now, haven't we? We have got a pet, yeah. We've got this gorgeous blue bird. It's a jay, isn't it? Is that what he is? Yeah. He comes down and he comes around our little site here, our little compound, and he has a little chat with us every day. He comes down. We dropped a bit of food the other day when we were filming and he's now around more than he should be. I think he's hooked on popcorn. But I'll stop feeding him now. Well, yeah. But you've opened the floodgates now, haven't you? Why? I just want to bring all his mates. Are you scared of him? I don't particularly like him.

11:51Ant McPartlin:Do you not? He's very pretty. from a distance but when he starts to encroach on my territory

11:56Declan Donnelly:encroach it's a bird it can go where it wants it's not your territory it is my territory hold on you're in his territory no I am not yes you are I am not he's native he is a native of British Columbia you're not

12:11Ant McPartlin:alright well this is my territory for now I've set up how is he meant to know that he's not meant to know well listen he's coming in and he's got his eyes on my food and I don't like it

12:22Declan Donnelly:Right, okay. What would you like me to do? Stop feeding them. Okay. Feed me. All right, I'm going to scatter your food all around the car park and you're going to have to go around pecking it off. Pop some popcorn in my mouth. Bacon. I'm just going to put loads of maple bacon around the car park.

12:39Ant McPartlin:How's the maple bacon, did you say?

12:42Declan Donnelly:Now, you may remember, if you're an avid viewer of Hanging Out, that we have something to swap. these things Dex trainers now we got them back and we sent them up to get designed by Dan and he has got up our images on the side and we've got sexy and nice on there what would you call that bit at the top the little velcro strap velcro strap no the on the other side of it so they're fully customised yes they're fully hanging out to represent the pod hanging out personalised and now they've been personalised we're going to swap them we ask for more swaps yes Would you like to hear some more swaps?

13:21Declan Donnelly:Yes, please. Okay, then. I'm ready to give these babies away. Let's play once again. Famous Guy Swaps Things.

13:30Declan Donnelly:Have we had lots of swaps in? We have had lots of swaps in with images. Good. So keep your eyes peeled on the iPad. So this says, hi all. Hey. Hey. I'm sending this tonight as I'm desperate to get rid of this ugly golfer. Not a great start. Please swap it with me. It gives me nightmares. It kind of looks a bit like Ant and Dec have morphed and solidified. Let's have a look. Well, that's rude. How does that look like us? That doesn't look like us. A solidified morphed version of us. I would throw it away, but I'm scared it would crawl back through the window and hit me with one of its clubs. I'm sure expert god players like yourselves, well, not expert, will adore him.

14:13Declan Donnelly:It's all yours, please, she says. That's from Charlene.

14:18Ant McPartlin:um it was an instant no good but what do you mean i think that would make a good uh little like golf trophy for our golf society no i gotta hope i don't win it really yeah or a booby prize oh booby prize it'll be a booby prize keep it on the list yeah only because it's the first one and it's a very we're setting the bar but it's a very low very low bar okay then well so the golfer

14:40Declan Donnelly:is on the list for now next potential swap high and deck and heckler's corner hey hey I write to you with a possible swap for Dex Rizzle Kick style trainers. I have for you Dave the Daxi decanter. He's a 50s, 60s decanter. He has all six, admittedly tiny cups that hook to his back. It's a bit like a very breakable buckaroo. His hat comes off to pour your tipple of choice into. Can you see the yellow hat that he's wearing? Yeah. You lift the hat up. Then you pour your drink. See, you're pouring a brandy in there.

15:15Ant McPartlin:You pour out his nose.

15:17Declan Donnelly:No? Yeah. Then you pick him up by his tail and tip the drink from his nose to serve your guests. I hope you like him. Respect, guys. Cheryl. So if you're just listening to this, it is a porcelain dash hound with a yellow hat, a big nose, and there's three little like shot glass style mugs that hang off the side of him. What do you think of Dave the Daxie Decander?

15:45Ant McPartlin:I think we should get rid of Charlene's golfer. Okay. Because this from Cheryl is now the bar. Catch!

15:57Declan Donnelly:Sorry, Charlene. You like that? I love it. It's good, isn't it? I really like it. Okay, well done, Cheryl. You're the only one on the list for now. Next potential swap. Hi, guys and gals. Hey. I've heard you mention Paul McCartney and the Beatles quite a few times. Yes. Well, I love trainers, and I would like to offer you my Beatles pin collection. This is one of 2 ,000 and is a limited edition, officially licensed collector set, and has never been out of the box and lives in our precious cabinet with various other precious stuff. Along with the odd thing kids have made at school, which we've had to keep.

16:36Declan Donnelly:Your own emoji. I hope this makes it onto the shortlist and you think them worthy enough to swap. Much love and respect, guys. That's from Tammy. So one of 2 ,000. It's not that rare. No, but still quite rare. But rare enough. Rare enough. Let's hope they look good. Can I see them? Now you can have a look. Oh, they're good. Oh my gosh. They're good.

16:59Ant McPartlin:So you've got the Fab Four Beatles as pins, pin badges.

17:02Declan Donnelly:And then you've got the Beatles drum kit with the Beatles in the middle of it, like Ringo used to play. I love that. Limited edition, officially licensed collector pin set, one of 2 ,000. So if you're getting anything from a set, right? Yeah. You want the first or the last.

17:20Ant McPartlin:Yeah. They're the most, they're golden value.

17:22Declan Donnelly:They're my valuable one. One of 2 ,000 made. What do you think to the Beatles pins? I absolutely love them. Oh, how come you got really good swaps? My swaps are rubbish. Weren't they though?

17:34Ant McPartlin:Oh, they're two really good ones. I'm torn now. Torn already and I'm wanting. Put them on the list.

17:39Declan Donnelly:They're on the list. They're on the list. Next potential swap. Hi, all of us hanging out. Hey! That's better. I'd like to offer an Arnold Palmer invitational cap signed by... No. Ian Porter.

18:04Declan Donnelly:I love Ian Porter, but...

18:08Ant McPartlin:I've got so excited for a second.

18:10Declan Donnelly:Oh, wow.

18:11Ant McPartlin:It's still quite exciting. It is. It's still quite exciting.

18:14Declan Donnelly:It's one size fits all. It's never been worn. I think it would be a great addition to any golfing outfit or even pride of place on the shelf in your studio. Loving the pod. Keep up the good work. Respect, guys, Diane. Let's have a look at it. Oh, that's nice. It's nice, though. That is nice. That is nice. 18:39Ant McPartlin:good golf course yeah it's great um that's a nice signature isn't it it is

18:45Declan Donnelly:very good signature

18:45Ant McPartlin:do you think that's the signature he uses at the bank

18:48Declan Donnelly:I don't think so no well unless he he draws a golf green and a golf flag

18:52Ant McPartlin:with a little golf flag I saw

18:54Declan Donnelly:it was the Walker Cup recently and Ian Paul as son was playing in it and he's as good as his dad at match play golf like he won his match and they came from um came from being down to the Americans to win it. Amazing. It was brilliant. It was the first day I watched when I got here to Canada. I was just watching it, trying to stay away.

19:14Ant McPartlin:I bumped into him in the queue for the toilets at the World Cup in New Jersey. Wow. Yeah. How about that? He was behind me in the queue. Amazing. Mm-hmm. And he really needed the toilet and I didn't let him go in front of me. There we go.

19:32Declan Donnelly:That a no?

19:34Ant McPartlin:That's a no.

19:34Declan Donnelly:That's a no. But it's very good though. The lovely cap Very nice. But we do like Ian Pollard. He's a lovely guy. Hello, Antec and Heckless Corner. Hey. I'd like to offer this swap for the trainers. Hold on. I'm offering this as these sell for a pretty penny. And the trainers are expensive. So believe me, this is a valued swap. So Antec, what do you say? Don't be a pair of silly gooses. Show some respect, guys, to me. and don't give me the hairdryer treatment. Let's do the swath. Lots of love. Good, good letter. 21:39Ant McPartlin:Oh, there's the actual shoes again?

21:41Declan Donnelly:The actual shoes again. So no silly business. No. It's the actual shoes. She's got back in touch. Is that Caroline? Yeah.

21:48Ant McPartlin:Caroline said she likes them.

21:50Declan Donnelly:Final offer. She can have the shoes.

21:52Ant McPartlin:Oh, I'm intrigued now because they have now taken on almost legendary status. Yeah.

21:56Declan Donnelly:They're infamous. Infamous shoes.

21:58Ant McPartlin:You've really vomited. I really, really want you to do it. It's just chocolate tab shoes. What size is she? Is she your size? Six and a half. No, I'm not a six and a half. I could squeeze in. I could squeeze in. I could squeeze into them. You could do your Irish dancing in there.

22:18Declan Donnelly:Oh, you could.

22:21Declan Donnelly:While Joel Dover gets waxed. Do your Irish dancing while Joel Dover gets waxed. No? I'll put them on the list if you want. Look, it's not up to me, it's up to you. Can I just remind you?

22:33Ant McPartlin:Yeah.

22:34Declan Donnelly:There are only two genuine contenders today. So the genuine contender is the Beatles pins, which we saw earlier, and the Dash Hound decanter.

22:45Ant McPartlin:Yeah.

22:46Declan Donnelly:All the tap shoes. All the tap shoes. Are you going to swap anything, Declan? Yes.

22:53Ant McPartlin:That's good. That's good. I am swapping today. I've decided what I'm going to swap.

23:00Declan Donnelly:Join us after the break as Dec tells us what he's going to swap his shoes for.

23:07Ant McPartlin:This next section is sponsored by Gemini,

23:09Declan Donnelly:Google's AI app. So we know we talked about glasses? Yes. And I ended up buying women's glasses and then the red glasses. I don't know what glasses suit my face.

23:18Ant McPartlin:And you just buy them once and hope when they suit. Yeah. There is definitely a more efficient way of doing it. Gemini can definitely help with that. Just hold still for a minute.

23:24Declan Donnelly:Nice pink phone. Thanks.

23:26Ant McPartlin:Right. Here we go. Got it. Yeah. Based on Ant's face shape. Handsome. Tell us what style of glasses suit him best. Yes. Because oval faces are naturally balanced, he can pull off almost any style. But, but. There is a but. There is a but. Big but. A few specific frames will work best. Go on. On camera. Go on. Which is what he's really bothered about. Yeah, it is, yeah. Right. Gemini says best styles for Ant square or rectangular frames these introduce structured horizontal lines and sharp angles providing a flattering contrast to his softer chin and cheek contour I don't have a soft chin that's what Gemini says medium depth frames frames with a balanced vertical height fill the middle portion of his face proportionately without drawing attention towards the forehead or dragging down the cheeks why did you have to mention

24:21Declan Donnelly:the forehead

24:21Ant McPartlin:Gemini I didn't mention it Gemini did Gemini

24:24Declan Donnelly:Have you thought about colours? Well, not red. More like... Definitely not red. More like a dark frame tortoiseshell. Like a tortoiseshell like these? Yeah, pretty much. I just have your glasses.

24:36Ant McPartlin:So dark frames. Dark frames. Okay. And give me links for them. Ah, good idea.

24:44Declan Donnelly:You know me. I love clicking to buy something.

24:47Ant McPartlin:Yeah, my spending bonds or that. Right. Gemini says, Here are three popular high street brands available to shop now.

24:55Declan Donnelly:That's good. Send me the link, please. Okay, I'll send that over to you. That's good. I love that. Download the Gemini app today to unlock the power of Google AI on your phone. Check responses. Set of required compatibility and availability varies. 18 plus.

26:21Do you remember holidays when we were younger?

26:25Ant McPartlin:Well, I remember the first holidays we went on as mates. That's what I mean. Do you remember those? Like our first trip to Gran Canaria. Yes. First lads holiday we ever went on was Gran Canaria. Me and you, I had to go and get a one-year passport. Yeah, do you remember that? We didn't have passports, so we went and got a one-year passport.

26:41Declan Donnelly:Back in the day, we got a one-year passport. Blown your mind. Blown your mind.

26:47Ant McPartlin:But then you thought, well, I'll just get a one-year passport. If I go on holiday next year, I'll just get another one-year passport. Quite why we didn't get 10-year passports. Why don't we just get them?

26:54Declan Donnelly:Probably it was more expensive. Probably. I remember your burned feet. There was that.

27:02Ant McPartlin:That was in Antigua. Yeah.

27:05Declan Donnelly:We had to stay in the room for three days because you burned your feet so badly. Yeah, that wasn't. Because the cream rubbed off. That was a good memory for me. Not so good for you. Not so good for me. Funny for me. Not so good for me. Do you know what I do remember, though? the feeling of saving up the money so you could go on a holiday.

27:21Ant McPartlin:Yeah, it makes you feel like an adult. It does. And the fact that you've saved a little bit of money over a long period of time makes it feel really rewarding at the end of it.

It's either the Beatles pins or the Dash Hound drinking cups. Declan, what are you going to swap your Rizzle Kick style trainers for? Well, first of all, I'd like to thank Cheryl for the Sausage Dog decanter.

28:36Ant McPartlin:That was a very good offer. I'd also like to thank Tammy for the Beatles pins the one of 2 ,000 set that was also a great offer but I have decided which of the two I'm going for and I would like to thank Cheryl and I will accept your sausage dog decanter yay

29:04Declan Donnelly:well look Cheryl you've got the Rizzle Kick style trainers send over the Dash Hound and we look forward to putting them in the podcast studio. Thank you. Before we finish this item though, you do have the swap. You do have the onesie that you wore.

29:20Ant McPartlin:Well, I was thinking, yeah, the onesie that I wore at the beginning of the show, if anybody would like to swap anything for my Canadian ice hockey onesie, it's very comfortable. As worn by Declan Donnelly from the telly. As worn by me. It has a flap in the back, which you can go to the toilet through. I haven't been to the toilet

29:40Declan Donnelly:Could you go to the toilet through just because I think you'll get that swapped

29:42Ant McPartlin:I can do for authenticity I can do that if that's your thing but yeah if you want to swap the onesie because I don't want it I bought it for a bit of a gag It means you'll have to pack it

29:57Declan Donnelly:It's quite thick isn't it to pack You've got room in your case I'll bring it back Have you? Yeah okay good Alright then we can actually do it

30:05Ant McPartlin:If you want to swap for my Canadian ice hockey onesie, get all of your suggestions over to us. Hanging out at ButlerBox.com.

30:13Declan Donnelly:Fiona, do we have any T's and C's?

30:15Ant McPartlin:Yes, we do. We're inviting one listener to take part in a swap with DEC. This isn't a competition or prize draw. If selected, we'll be in touch to arrange a swap. You'll need to be over 18, able to confirm your details for collection or drop-off, and ready to complete the swap promptly.

30:31Declan Donnelly:By putting yourself forward, you're confirming that I can use yours to swap and that you have full permission to do so.

30:36Ant McPartlin:Get all your suggestions or offers into us. Hanging out at beltabox.com.

30:41Declan Donnelly:We've been cracking on here in Canada. We've been shooting the show. It's been going well. Shooting the breeze. Shooting the breeze and shooting the show. It has been going very well. It's great.

30:50Ant McPartlin:Can't wait for you to see it. It's really good. It's chilly in the mornings. Really cold. Chilly in the evenings. But when that sun comes out, it is beautiful during the day, especially when it's glistening off some of those lovely lakes out there and over the trees. And we've got the Snowcat Mountains in the background. is stunning.

31:06Declan Donnelly:We've just been to see the celebrities this morning to announce some news in the camp and it's about from where we are where our kind of trailers are it's about half an hour 29 minutes.

31:16Ant McPartlin:It's a 29 minute drive.

31:17Declan Donnelly:Mr. Stat there decided to make sure he timed it on his phone. It was 29 minutes and 10 seconds. So anyway pleased I knew that. Thanks well done. Thanks for letting me know. So we went up there and on the way up there we thought we've got to get there we're going to announce this news which I won't tell you I'll wait till you watch it when it's on the telly, but it's good. We're now on some news. We left, we got back in the car. And on the wheel there, I looked into the lake and I was like, I can see a bear. So I got my phone ready. And I said to all these, there's a bear on that lake. And our driver went, yeah, there probably is.

31:50Declan Donnelly:He says, they will bathe in there. He says, he might be in there for a while. We'll see him on the way back. I was like, amazing. So we got all the way back. And it's a 29 minute drive. So probably approximately 18 minutes into the drive, I stopped the driver and we got out the car. and we went to the side of the lake. No, you didn't.

32:06Ant McPartlin:You were like, stop the car, stop the car. It's still there. It's still there. And somebody in the car said, no, it's a rock. He went, it's not. The rock is moving. And we looked. It's moving.

32:15Declan Donnelly:It was definitely moving. It was bobbing. I went, it's a head, it's a head, it's a bear's head. So I jumped out the car, made sure my phone was recorded, knocked my pocket, ran up to the lake. It was a log. It was a log bobbing in the water. I do have the picture of the log if you'd like to see it. Here it is. nice picture of the lake lovely lake

32:35Ant McPartlin:lovely lake lovely bobby log what a lovely log but we've been good

32:41Declan Donnelly:we've been cracking on with the series like Dex said we've walked out and about you bought yourself some merch obviously as we've just seen we've been out for some dinners

32:49Ant McPartlin:we've been trying some local Canadian food we had poutine poutine interesting

32:56Declan Donnelly:wow I really liked it

32:58Ant McPartlin:well so it's chips I love chips covered in cheese curd.

33:05Declan Donnelly:Which is okay. But that's then covered in... Gravy. Which I love. So chips, gravy, and a bit of cheese. Like cheesy chips with gravy on top.

33:14Ant McPartlin:Cheesy chips with gravy. Oh, it was lush. It is very good, to be fair. It was really good. Followed by ribs.

33:19Declan Donnelly:Are they Canadian? Well, they were made by... They were...

33:23Ant McPartlin:Canadian pigs.

33:24Declan Donnelly:Canadian pigs. Yes, you like. What did you call us? But served by a Geordie. Yeah. Everywhere we go, there's like Geordies or Scots or Irish. And loads of Aussies. Loads of Aussies. Yeah, I think a lot of people come to Canada because I think if you're a student and you finish your studies, you've got two years where you can travel around Canada and work.

33:45Ant McPartlin:We've not actually met any Canadians yet. It's all Brits and Aussies.

33:49Declan Donnelly:Yeah, to be fair, we haven't met many Canadians. We haven't met many. I think we've met like two and they're all very polite. And they do go, well, hello there, buddy. Buddy. But yeah, we need to meet more Canadians. We need to get out there and meet more. You need to get out and meet the people then. Yeah, we do. We really do. Stuck up in your ivory tower. What are you like? Get out of it.

34:07Ant McPartlin:We tried some Canadian crisps and biscuits. We've made a video. We've made a Tastemates Ultimate Snack Canadian crisps and biscuits edition. We are later today going to make a Canadian chocolate bars edition. Today? Are we doing today? Today or tomorrow.

34:26Declan Donnelly:Are we doing that today?

34:27Ant McPartlin:Today or tomorrow. Yes. So we're going to do that. So we've been working incredibly hard.

34:34Declan Donnelly:But if you're from Canada and if you've got any suggestions of what we should eat, which is very typical Canadian and typical to this region as well, to BC, then let us know and we'll add it to the list. Yes?

34:47Ant McPartlin:If you put it on your rider list, there's a few food suggestions. Is there? Oh, is there?

34:52Declan Donnelly:Can we have a read? Yes. Right, let's have a look. So, B Young says, a cuddly toy bear to go with the moose. We haven't named the moose yet. We haven't named them. Why do we need a cuddly toy bear?

35:04Ant McPartlin:Because of the bears around here. We should get a cuddly toy log. We've seen more logs than bears.

35:12Declan Donnelly:I did spot a bear, though, the first day we got here. But my camera wasn't working on my phone. Alisa Shelby says, beaver tails. What to eat?

35:22Ant McPartlin:so it's not actually a real beaver's tail it's a pastry it's a pastry oh yeah delicious

35:28Declan Donnelly:okay so we have them to try

35:30Ant McPartlin:no not to wow that only came in today

35:33Declan Donnelly:came in today well thank you Elisa it started out

35:36Ant McPartlin:sounding like a bush took a trial and then actually got very interesting

35:38Declan Donnelly:we will try a beaver tail Becky Smith says a framed photo of Ryan Reynolds with no explanation no explanation needed no he's Canadian and if you're watching Ryan if you want to be a friend of the pod and jump on in we'll have a chat with you get in touch

35:55Declan Donnelly:Scarlet Furlong says cardboard cutout of Justin Bieber because he's Canadian because he's Canadian yeah it'd be nice to have him in the background wouldn't it Bieber yeah yeah and you know if you want to get in touch Justin then just give us a call Chloe Bell says an endless supply of poutine we've tried that tried it and we love it don't need an endless supply though do we it was it's quite stodgy not good for the waistline that. Sam Jones says, ask for a runner who speaks in a Geordie accent and make you feel at home. Well, we don't need that. We can just go to that place to get ribs again. He's a Geordie from County Durham.

36:29Ant McPartlin:Named after Kevin Costner. His mum fancied Kevin Costner back in the 90s. So he got named after him.

36:35Declan Donnelly:Really, really good name. And many, many people, too many to name, have said coffee crisps. Yeah. What's a coffee crisp?

36:43Ant McPartlin:I need to try.

36:45Declan Donnelly:Oh!

36:45Ant McPartlin:A Canadian chocolate bar. It's the most popular Canadian chocolate bar, apparently. Okay.

36:50Declan Donnelly:These have just been thrown in.

36:52Ant McPartlin:Coffee crisp. Now, are we going to try these now or are we going to keep these for... Do you want to save them for the... Save them for Tastemates Ultimate Munch Canadian Chocolate Bar. Yeah, I have to say them.

37:04Ant McPartlin:What a greedy Canadian pig.

37:09Ant McPartlin:What do you think?

37:10Declan Donnelly:That is so good.

37:11Ant McPartlin:Well, are you doing it now live?

37:13Declan Donnelly:Don't rate it yet. What? You can't rate it yet. I can't rate it yet? No. you do get a coffee hit though is there coffee in it mmm I'm not a fan of that tell you who'd love this my wife she likes coffee ice cream coffee coffee coffee any kind of coffee whispery what dirty pig gee don't you cut my wife a pig on the deck and fall out chugger

37:39Ant McPartlin:I can't bear anything coffee I thought you were going to say something else

37:42Declan Donnelly:I can't bear I can't bear your wife

37:47Declan Donnelly:You'd be a rumble in the jungle.

37:49Ant McPartlin:I can't bear anything coffee tasting. Lovely, man. No. Even like, you know when you get Revels and you get a coffee one, I get really upset. I get really upset. Yeah, she loves them. She loves the coffee ones. Nah. In a box of milk tray, if you get a coffee cream.

38:07Declan Donnelly:Oh, lovely. Yuck. Coffee ice cream. Well, I look forward to the tastemates when you have to rate it. Do I just keep going?

38:13Ant McPartlin:Oh, yeah. Oh, we've also got some moose suggestions. Moose suggestions. Moosey Brucey? Yeah. Have we got any names? Yeah, same to you. Moosey Brucey? Names for the moose? Here are some suggestions. This one from Danny Campbell says, Sir Moosa Sissoko. No. No? Used to play for Newcastle United, Moosey Sissoko. But then we sold him to Tottenham. Steve Moose. Like Steve Bruce? Like Steve Bruce. Used to manage Newcastle United. How's the Canadian bacon, did you say? I like Steve Moose.

38:45Declan Donnelly:I like Steve Moose.

38:47Ant McPartlin:Lewis has suggested Stephen Moose Hearn. Yes.

38:50Declan Donnelly:No. No, he can't wangle his way in here as well. He's wangle the way everywhere else.

38:57Ant McPartlin:Alice's suggestion may land us in a bit of hot water, but she's suggesting Mickey Moose.

39:06Ant McPartlin:Which is what people from Newcastle call the guy from Disney. Bye, Mickey Moose.

39:13Declan Donnelly:she loves Mickey Moose wanting to see Mickey Moose in the castle

39:16Ant McPartlin:where are you going I'm going to I'm going to Florida to see Mickey Moose you know

39:19Declan Donnelly:Mickey Minnie Moose

39:21Ant McPartlin:don't think we'll get away with that Alice

39:23Declan Donnelly:nah don't think so keep going keep going I've got two more bites of me coffee cream

39:27Ant McPartlin:well this is the last one so Amber along with many many other listeners and viewers have suggested you silly moose ma what the silly moose Silly Moose So it's not Stephen Moose Hearn No We can't call him Mickey Moose Definitely not Moose Sussoka No Steve Moose It's good How's the maple bacon did you say? But I think the winner is you Silly Moose Yeah

39:58Declan Donnelly:Silly Moose it is You Silly Moose it is Thank you Amber Well done And that gave me just enough time to eat my coffee crisps baby Hello baby Hello Silly crisps baby Okay good

40:08Ant McPartlin:Well done Amber along with many others who suggested Silly Moose. Silly Moose he is! Last week, we spoke to you about the dry runs we have in Australia to get the show ready. And that's a trick of the trade. And we asked you for your tricks of the trade from your jobs, what you do. Have we had many in, Fiona? We've had quite a few, yeah. Have we? Yeah. Can we have a look at one? Yeah, go for it. Now, remember, the names have been changed and voices have been altered to protect the innocent. Hi, Ant and Depp. Years ago, I worked for a very well-known high street baby equipment and clothes company.

40:41Ant McPartlin:It no longer exists now. In the larger, more modern stores we opened, we would pump the smell of baby powder through the air con as it was a known fact that the smell of it would make expectant mothers feel all emotional and hormonal and then spend more money. The same thing happened in large supermarkets. They pumped the smell of freshly baked bread through the air con as it makes customers hungry and therefore spend more. Respect, guys. Anonymous.

41:06Declan Donnelly:Oh my God! This is brilliant. Respect guys. Anonymous. Anonymous. That's really good. That's great. I didn't know that. No, I didn't know that. It puts baby powder through the air con so expectant mothers would get hormonal and buy more stuff.

41:25Ant McPartlin:But I think it's just quite comforting to smell that when you go into those kind of baby shops. Yeah, but you're not a hormonal expectant mother, are you? I'm quite hormonal at times.

41:33Declan Donnelly:No, but you know what I mean, though? Hmm. Yes, it might smell nice, but it's sending crazy. Spending crazy.

41:41Ant McPartlin:I like the thought of the freshly baked bread as well in the supermarket.

41:44Declan Donnelly:They say that, don't they? If you ever want to sell your house baked bread and make fresh coffee, and when people come into the house, they will think, this is a home that smells good.

41:53Ant McPartlin:This is a place I can see myself having bread and coffee.

41:55Declan Donnelly:Yeah, I could live here. You wouldn't have coffee because you don't like it. No. Now, you don't even want to eat that coffee, Chris. Well, yeah, I'll have that. But back to the trick of the trade. That is really good. A really good bit of insider knowledge, that.

42:07Ant McPartlin:Nothing we can really hack there, though. Nothing that we can use for our own advantage.

42:12Declan Donnelly:We have to put stuff through our air con at Mitre when people come in. We have to put the smell of TV shows through the air con so people buy more shows from us.

42:21Ant McPartlin:The sweet smell of success.

42:23Declan Donnelly:Stick it through the air con. Yeah, exactly.

42:25Ant McPartlin:Do you always smell baby powder because you always spend so much? Is that why?

42:31Declan Donnelly:No, that's what it is. Yeah, that's why I spend more than that, because I smell baby powder everywhere I go. Yeah. Baby powder and bread. That's all I smell. Walk around smelling it. To be fair, I don't have a great sense of smell. Just don't want to mind. Tutor powers. Just don't, yeah. My wife's got the cheeky smell. Oh my God. I've said this before, haven't I? She's a dirty pig, isn't she? Stop saying that. You get in trouble. I smashed your face in. I smashed your face in.

42:58Ant McPartlin:She's got a good sense to us now.

42:59Declan Donnelly:But there was no need to say the word dirty in there, wasn't there? No, I didn't. I think I mattered that.

43:03Ant McPartlin:I think I had a dirty.

43:06Declan Donnelly:She's got a good snout on her. Dirty, I'll give you a pig. I won't give you a pig. She's got a good snout on her. You got a good sense of smell?

43:13Ant McPartlin:Yeah, not bad.

43:18Declan Donnelly:Yeah, you can tell with those nostrils. Could you smell doing yoga? Go on, make something up. I can smell your snoring.

43:32Ant McPartlin:Smell you're asleep.

43:33Declan Donnelly:That's very good, though. Well, and you'll notice we protected Anonymous's voice during that Tricks of the Trade. We will do the same for you or do it yourself before you send it in. Saves us time and effort. But we'll get more of them and we do a nice little compilation. They're good then.

43:49Ant McPartlin:Do you got any tricks of your trade? Get them into us. And any hacks that we can use as well. Yes, please. Get them into us, hanging out at beltbox.com. What we can take away from all of this is that retailers pump smells through their air con to make customers buy more in their shops. ever knew never knew never knew tell you what I've been liking the look of this week the Oasis documentary that's just come out

44:11Declan Donnelly:that they premiered at the Venice Film Festival was it Carla Venice it was Venice Venice I think Venice Film Festival

44:17Ant McPartlin:but it doesn't look brilliant do you know what's been really nice is seeing Liam and Noel on the red carpet really laughing with each other and making each other giggle I thought that's been really nice

44:25Declan Donnelly:I can't wait to see the documentary I can't wait to see it and it was I think it was there's like really good directors on it people who were on like the directors of photography who've done like Oscar winner movies and stuff. So it's going to be shot beautifully.

44:38Ant McPartlin:And it was created and written by Stephen Knight. Yeah. Who did Peaky Blinders. So it's going to be brilliant. It is.

44:45Declan Donnelly:I can't wait to see it. We met them a few times. Yeah, we have. Yeah. And they're just really cool. Like Noel's really funny, isn't he?

44:51Ant McPartlin:Yeah.

44:51Declan Donnelly:He's very sarcastic, quite quick-witted, loves his football. And Liam is, Liam's funny as well, but he's just a proper, proper rock star. Yeah. Isn't he though? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We saw him, he was at Saturday Night Takeaway once and he was in the bar. He didn't come in the audience, but he was watching the show from a screen in the bar on the second floor. And we came up to the bar after doing the show and he came over and he was like, I buzz off you watching this show, our kid. And he's just the nicest. But we've seen him since at like do's and stuff. And he's just really cool. Yeah. that's how I want my rock stars to be like that you know says what he wants looks really cool hasn't really changed he's just stayed the way he wants to say and we've all caught up with him again do you know what I mean kind of went out of favour for a while but he wasn't uncool maybe we were uncool for a decade and then we've all come back round to him again and I think I think it's brilliant gonna go to Neverworth again oh I'd love to we went didn't we yeah we did first time round

45:53Ant McPartlin:we went the first time they played Neverworth so we'll have to go again we had Noel on CDK and we went to that pool bar and interviewed him. Yeah. We sat on the pool tables and we're halfway through the interview and his mobile phone went off.

46:03Declan Donnelly:Yeah.

46:04Ant McPartlin:And he went, oh, hang on a minute, I have to take this. He put his phone off. He went, I am mum. And he talked to his mum over there. My mum wants to talk to you. So we had a word with Peggy on the phone. Yeah, we did.

46:15Declan Donnelly:Yeah. Is she fun?

46:17Ant McPartlin:Yeah. Yeah, she's lovely. We spoke to Peggy. It was brilliant. They're so good. Would you guys ever do a documentary? A documentary about what? About your life and... I don't know is it that it's not very interesting is it is it is it is it there is loads of footage actually and also do you remember when we were on tour yeah when we around the time I wrote the diary yeah we had a video camera as well we did and I've still got all the tapes I've still got all the high eight tapes

46:47Declan Donnelly:I've got a video camera later I think I bought well after you yeah so I've got like later years that we could we should delve into those tapes

46:55Ant McPartlin:nobody's seen them

46:55Declan Donnelly:did you know that when they were shooting it, they just let a lot of, they left a lot of unmanned cameras in the rehearsal space. So they didn't want any cameramen to put them off.

47:04Ant McPartlin:Yeah.

47:05Declan Donnelly:So they were aware that they were being filmed all the time. They just left cameras in there and just let them get on with it. And for the first two rehearsal sessions, I don't think they spoke to each other, Liam and Norm. Really? And there's tension there. That's why I'm dying to say it. Yeah. Real tension there. But then slowly, without having, saying a word to one another, they just forgive each other and the music speaks for itself.

47:26Ant McPartlin:Yeah, brilliant. What a story. They're just so good. I love them.

47:33Declan Donnelly:Finally, before we go, we've got some questions once again through the broadcast channel.

47:38Ant McPartlin:If you're not part of our broadcast channel on Instagram yet, make sure you get on there and join and you can send any questions to us. Fiona, how do we join the broadcast channel? So you go on your Ant & Dec's profile on Instagram and it's in their bio. it says hanging out with Anton Deck you just click on it and you can send a request to join and then you'll be part of all the fun

47:58Declan Donnelly:it is fun, you get little videos extra videos from us, messages from us behind the scenes stuff from us and also you can join in the conversation so we've got some questions here I've got one from Tessa Balcock who says how do you prepare for Christmas with I'm a Celebrity so close to the festivities do you have like a maid for present shopping or something not a maid my wife yeah we have to do a lot in advance and she's very good when I'm doing the show she'll get a lot of it done and of course Father Christmas

48:35Ant McPartlin:Father Christmas takes care of the kids

48:37Declan Donnelly:takes care of the kids we do a lot of

48:39Ant McPartlin:online shopping in between the show and trials we do and doing stuff so it all gets delivered when we get back from ours

48:46Declan Donnelly:but I still like going out so we always get back from Australia a little bit before Christmas because there's nothing better than getting out there and going out and seeing the Christmas lights. And we haven't had, the good thing about it is, because we're in Australia, there's no real Christmas decorations up. They don't play the songs, Christmas songs in supermarkets or anything, really.

49:05Ant McPartlin:They put woolly jumpers on the trees, on the palm trees.

49:08Declan Donnelly:Yeah, they do actually, which is cute, isn't it? But it's not like when you're back at home and it's just Christmas is everywhere. We don't see the buildup at the end of November all the way through December. So when we land back, it's nice to see it. I can imagine by the time you've got to Christmas in the UK, you're a bit sick of Wham and Mariah Carey.

49:27Ant McPartlin:Yeah.

49:28Declan Donnelly:But we're not.

49:29Ant McPartlin:But by the end, like when we're getting towards the final of I'm a Celebrity and you know then you've only got a few days left, we get really excited about getting home and getting Christmassy. We always say, I just can't wait. I can't wait to get home and get Christmassy. Can't wait. But yeah, we get back and our tree's already up. Somebody's put our tree up for us. That's good. So we come home. You're a maid. It's not a maid.

49:55Ant McPartlin:But our tree's up already, so it's all, the house is decorated by the time we get back. Right, got on here from Dylan Jamal. Says, when is the next collab with Will Mellor coming out? So we did the video last week of the Keith Lemon, Lee Francis sketch that he used to do, the Bush Tucker trials with Will Miller. You're doing great. You're doing great. I'm doing great. You don't have to do it. You have to do it. Then we did our little version of that the other day. If you haven't seen this on our Instagram and TikTok.

50:26Declan Donnelly:It got mad. It went mad.

50:27Ant McPartlin:It did, yeah.

50:27Declan Donnelly:It went absolutely bonkers when we put it out. There's a few outtakes,

50:31Ant McPartlin:isn't there? Yeah, there are. Are we going to post the outtakes? We'll post them. We'll post the outtakes because we had a laugh doing that. But yeah, that was fun. Can you imagine if we ever got Will Miller on I'm a Celebrity, like how full circle that would go he commented on the post yeah he did I saw that but imagine if we got Will on it and you had to sit there and go you're doing great Will you're doing great

50:52Declan Donnelly:I thought you were going to say that I had to put my you know what in his mouth no no no no okay right good good few few few but where's he going with this

51:00Ant McPartlin:or if we got Lee Francis in the jungle that would be good come on Lee and we had to stand by and watch him do a trial and we just go you're doing great you're doing great let's try and make that happen

51:12Declan Donnelly:Lee come on this is our plea to you get in the jungle you know you want to it's a load of fun and we'll be there you're doing great you're doing great

51:21Ant McPartlin:I've got one go on from KTM17 if you had to choose another accent to have what would it be I love yours and would opt for Geordie I'm from Sussex by the way nice what other accent would you like to have if you couldn't be a Geordie hmm British

51:41what do you mean

51:43Declan Donnelly:Does it have to be British? Oh, can I do?

51:48Ant McPartlin:No, British.

51:53Ant McPartlin:Doesn't have to be British. Okay, good.

51:55Declan Donnelly:I quite like Canadian, to be fair. I like, well, hello there, buddy. I like the sing-songiness of how they speak. They're very friendly.

52:03Ant McPartlin:Yeah.

52:03Declan Donnelly:Canadians, Canadians, good. Yeah, okay. Because I can't think of anything else, I'll go Canadian. Canadian. Yourself? Australian. Really? Yeah.

52:14Ant McPartlin:I think it's just nice and chilled and laid back like myself. I'm just a chilled out entertainer. Are you?

52:21Declan Donnelly:Come on then, let's hear your Australian.

52:23Ant McPartlin:No, no, that's what I'd like to have.

52:25Declan Donnelly:Well, let's hear what it's like now. G'day, mate.

52:30Ant McPartlin:How are you? I'm all right, mate. How are you? Yeah, great, great. What are you doing later? Yeah, I think it's nice and chilled. Irish. Would you go Northern Irish or would you go... More Southern. More Southern. Dublin. Or you could go down to Cork. You could go all the way down there to Cork. Sometimes they talk very fast down to Cork.

52:55Declan Donnelly:I'd like the accent where Brad Pitt's got in Statch. I'll fight the dag. The dag. I'll get the dag. I'll fight the dag. I'll fight anyone now. Yeah, I'd like that. Brad Pitt and Statch. What a great question. Thank you for that. Last one? Yeah, go on. Last one, come on. One more. What is your Tesco meal deal or Greg's lunch deal, says Leora Wilson? Right, where do we start? If it's Greg's, sausage roll. You got that? Yeah. Cheeses on your crisps. And an oasis. It's what I used to drink. Are they still around? Yeah. I used to drink them all the time and eat that meal deal all the time when I was in Newcastle.

53:43Declan Donnelly:So that would be mine.

53:45Ant McPartlin:I'd go for steak bake. Yep. Cheese and onion crisps. Yep.

53:50Declan Donnelly:Bottle of water.

53:54Ant McPartlin:Mr. Sensible. Well, I don't really drink fizzy pop.

53:58Declan Donnelly:Well, that's why I went for an oasis because it's not fizzy. Yeah, I could have an oasis. Okay. Ribena?

54:01Ant McPartlin:I'll have a drink of your oasis.

54:03Declan Donnelly:You won't. No, you're flaky pastry lips. anyway you've been lots of steak baking around the lid I just want a taste of it then you go back to your fresh water and I'll go back to my water

54:16Ant McPartlin:first

54:16Declan Donnelly:I'm hungry now

54:17Ant McPartlin:what about your

54:35Ant McPartlin:Eggie pig.

54:36Declan Donnelly:Eggie pig. Eggie smelly pig. Grigey pig.

54:46Ant McPartlin:When are you quite finished?

54:50Declan Donnelly:I've switched off from your nonsense. Are you still going?

54:54Ant McPartlin:What's your real deal? What, you haven't said you're crisp? Oh, is that how you do mine? Yeah. Egg meal. Are you serious? Yeah. Egg pot. Egg pot? Can you get an egg pot? Yeah. Yeah, protein. I wouldn't have an egg meal and an egg pot. Oh, a bit too eggy. I'll have a chicken salad then and an egg pot.

55:13Declan Donnelly:I would have a duck wrap. Can you get M &S scores?

55:19Ant McPartlin:Yeah.

55:20Declan Donnelly:We can and M &S.

55:21Ant McPartlin:Yeah, we can get them.
