Right, you know, 2026 is the year I want to get organised. Yes. How? You're quite organised.
0:17Ant McPartlin:List. You're all quite an organised person. It's all about the list. Is it though? I don't make that many lists, but my wife gives me a lot of lists. Ah, okay. And it does help. Right, so. Item one on the list. Right list.
0:27Declan Donnelly:Item one, right list. Item two. Item two. Well, I've been putting this one off a bit. Go on. It's a bit of a challenge.
0:34Ant McPartlin:Create the biggest podcast in the world. Right. That's good. I think you might need to break it down into smaller chunks. Create a podcast? No, no, no. I think you need to kind of go, right, okay. Come up with some interesting talking points for a podcast. Oh, so write that down, yeah? I would write that down. And then maybe another item on the list. Listen to other podcasts for inspiration. Oh, yeah. I know it can be quite nerve-wracking. I'm not nervous. No. I'm not nervous
1:00Declan Donnelly:just kind of writing a list for the first time well look it I'm not nervous
1:04Ant McPartlin:we've done loads of things that haven't worked in the past we're no strangers to failure my friend oh yeah we failed think of the amount of times you've fallen over on live TV lots of times lots of times so you can't be afraid of failure but what you've got to do is just make a list of how to attack your goal I'm making a list there and I'm checking it twice is that good?
1:21Declan Donnelly:should I sing? don't sing definitely don't sing I get what you're saying though so break it down smaller chunks exactly that I was feeling a little overwhelmed, but thanks to you, I'm doing it. Thank you. Oh, hold on.
1:34Ant McPartlin:Thanks, Doug. Crossed that off the list. And that's what Santander's doing, giving people the confidence to take that first step towards a goal that matters to them. Santander, it starts here.
1:53Declan Donnelly:Hello, everybody. Hi. Hi. Hi, everyone. Turn the lights on. I'll turn all of the lights on even oh it's not the plant pops even this light in the corner respect guys good huh very good like it a lot it's gonna run around this you know
2:12Ant McPartlin:hello good morning good evening welcome to hanging out with him and me here we are again back in the podcast episode three oh you're laughing at already over there our long-term tormentors are in the corner have you had a shave today Fiona freshly shaven Fiona she's now known
2:28Margot Robbie:I'm growing out.
2:29Ant McPartlin:Are you growing out? Yeah, I do. Please do. Lola is here also. Hello. And is Jemima? Hiya. Jemima, Siti. She's still a woman of mystery. She is a woman of mystery. I like it. I've got to check. Have you recovered from Monday's Mystery Door and the banana record attempt?
2:47Declan Donnelly:Well, I'm embarrassed by it. So I'm not having recovered from the embarrassment. Right. But it's, like I said last week, it's put fire in my belly. It's galvanised, Liz. I want to break that record. Genuinely want to break the record. I practised. I practised today.
3:04Ant McPartlin:You had a banana, you mean?
3:04Declan Donnelly:I had two. Two bananas.
3:05Ant McPartlin:Quickly in 40 seconds. And your eye hasn't flared up. Me eye's fine. It's great news. Me eye's fine. Coming up on today's show.
3:15Declan Donnelly:Derek teaches us how to swear in front of our kids. And the referee was a right. Silly goose.
3:21Ant McPartlin:And gets humiliated by a teenager.
3:23Declan Donnelly:He was hitting it 110 yards further than my ball. That's got to hurt. Dex Diary is back and the girls go wild.
3:31Ant McPartlin:We've never had a reaction like that.
3:33Declan Donnelly:Yes! In your face, world apart. In your face, bad voicing.
3:38Ant McPartlin:Plus, find out about my secret solo photo session with a Hollywood film star.
3:42Declan Donnelly:How has Fiona got a picture of you and I've never seen this picture or didn't even know this happened? Enjoy the show.
3:49Ant McPartlin:Thank you for getting in touch with all of your questions and queries and comments. We've been through some more comments. I've had a look at some more.
3:58Declan Donnelly:I've looked at them. You haven't looked? I never look at them. I like looking at them right now.
4:02Ant McPartlin:Live. Put some on screen. Okay, let's have a little look. Absolutely loving the podcast. Just want you both to relax a bit more. Shut up.
4:11Declan Donnelly:They're doing this to our milk now, aren't they?
4:13Ant McPartlin:I think so.
4:14Declan Donnelly:I think they are. I think they are. I'm not going to respond to it.
4:16Ant McPartlin:Don't respond. I won't. I won't. My six-year-old would love this. That's just downright rude.
4:22Declan Donnelly:Isn't it though? That is just rude.
4:24Ant McPartlin:I take that as a compliment. Do you? I think that means it appeals to the whole family. No. No? What she's saying there. It's not for me, but my six-year-old would love it. Is that what she's saying?
4:34Declan Donnelly:Yeah, that's what she's saying. This is not for me. I like things a little bit more highbrow, but my six-year-old would love this. I kind of thought this would be slightly older for us. You know, it's a bit of an older listen, older watch. not six-year-olds we shouldn't have done all that swearing last week thank god we bleeped it I know because the six-year-olds that wouldn't go down well are they all swearing at six?
4:54Ant McPartlin:no they're not actually
4:55Declan Donnelly:have they ever sworn?
4:56Ant McPartlin:I don't think I've caught them swearing right they're good I'm very careful not to swear in front of them right although I have let it slip a couple of times what do you say instead of swearing? well you go back to a lot of oh my gosh right oh my giddy aunt giddy aunt? yeah okay did they think you're just
5:13Declan Donnelly:talking about me?
5:14Ant McPartlin:maybe maybe Maybe that's why they keep saying it. It's Gideon coming around today. He's so silly on your hand.
5:22Declan Donnelly:He's really happy and giddy all the time. Yeah. Oh my godfathers. Oh my godfathers. Yeah. Right, okay. That's a new one. Never heard that one. What do you say instead of... Shoot. What do you say? Because we can bleep the... You can bleep these. You can bleep my swear words. And leave. Try and guess the swear word from what Dex replaced it with.
5:47Declan Donnelly:I don't call my kids that. What do you replace that word with?
Read the full transcript
5:55Ant McPartlin:I don't replace that. I just don't use it. You don't use it? I don't use it.
6:01Declan Donnelly:I don't call them that. No, I know you don't call them that, but like say, oh, you dirty...
6:12Declan Donnelly:No, you're not saying it. You're not saying it to your kids. You're saying it like you're watching the match, for example. Oh, right, right, right. Say you're watching the Newcastle PSG game, right, from the other week. And they're awarded that penalty.
6:28Ant McPartlin:And the referee awarded the penalty after two minutes.
6:30Declan Donnelly:And the referee was a right... You would have called him, if the kids were listening, a right... Silly goose. I want you. Yeah, that's what I've called him. Okay, okay. come on you silly goose and if you're in the car and someone is in a car in front of you and they're not getting a move on you want them to get a move on they need to edge forward a bit so instead of saying oh for f*** you would say oh flip me flip me okay yeah okay good I'm learning this is all learnings for me you see good
7:03Ant McPartlin:I mean it doesn't quite get the anger out in the same way no I bet it doesn't no no it doesn't you kind of need to go
7:09Declan Donnelly:flip me you silly goose
7:13Margot Robbie:Would that help?
7:14Ant McPartlin:No It doesn't do it It doesn't do it No it doesn't do it Tell me the other thing I've been enjoying About the comments That we've had From our listeners And viewers Is where they're listening from I knew you would I love it when they tell us Where they're listening from Yeah It's a very you thing this I love to know our reach
7:30Declan Donnelly:Do you have to do that?
7:32Ant McPartlin:I like to know how far
7:32Declan Donnelly:It's a bit like the child catcher If you're just listening Dex Pointing at his fingers In a menacing child catchery way
7:39Ant McPartlin:I like to know our reach So we've had some fantastic locations that people are listening from and watching. But I thought, just hold on there one second. I thought we should start a listener's map. That's good. So we can keep track of our reach. Don't do that. So we know already from some of our comments from the show last week that we had West Wisconsin. Which is in this country here, the United States.
8:03Declan Donnelly:Yeah, let me get some pins. I think it's probably here. Do it there.
8:08Margot Robbie:It's not far, a little bit more east. A little bit more east. But you're out. There? Yeah. There? Yeah. Wow. Well done, Anne.
8:20Ant McPartlin:We had Germany, didn't we? We did have Germany. I'll just put that right in the middle of Germany because they weren't specific about where. Norway. Ah, yes. I'll be to Norway. Dublin. Dublin.
8:29Declan Donnelly:Well, we know where Dublin is. Biggest city in the world.
8:32Ant McPartlin:Just keeps doubling and doubling.
8:33Declan Donnelly:Yeah, we know. You're not talking to your kids, man.
8:36Ant McPartlin:You silly goose.
8:37Declan Donnelly:That's why six-year-olds would like this show. Because of your gags. Wales. Wales. Yeah, let's do Wales. We like Wales. It's a different country. Brisbane, specifically Brisbane. Right, we know where that is because we fly into Brisbane when we do our most celebrities. It's about there. West of Scotland. Why West of Scotland? Well, that's where they are. Oh, yeah.
8:58Declan Donnelly:Okay, I think. Okay, fair enough. Newcastle. Newcastle. We're definitely doing Newcastle. I can't really see the bulge on the... What bulges look like? I was looking for the bulge on the map. Oh, sorry. Got one in LA. Los Angeles. Okay, that is over here somewhere. West coast of America. West coast of America, even.
9:20Ant McPartlin:So then look at our reach so far. From Australia, from the east coast of Australia to the west coast of the United States. And lots of places in between. Let us know where you're listening from and we'll stick a flag where you are. you can literally put yourself on our map
9:39Declan Donnelly:how's the booking of William Boyd
9:40Margot Robbie:coming along he's interested he's interested he's interested
9:44Ant McPartlin:but he's having lunch with his wife right okay and nothing can interrupt every day
9:50Margot Robbie:he has
9:51Declan Donnelly:well he eats lunch every day doesn't he he's with his wife I guess he did and Timothy Charlie
9:58Margot Robbie:he's not in the country at the moment right
10:00Declan Donnelly:but when he is in the country he did get a reply
10:01Margot Robbie:from Tom Holland saying Not in the country at the moment, but let's reassess when he's in the country.
10:08Ant McPartlin:I'm going to start using that. Is that a fob-off? I'm going to start using that.
10:11Declan Donnelly:He doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would fob you off. He's too classy for that. He's too classy for that. Reassess is a good word.
10:16Margot Robbie:Reassess. But he isn't in the country, so that's fair.
10:19Declan Donnelly:That is fair. Yeah. That's fair. And Timothy hasn't responded.
10:23Margot Robbie:No, but Margot Robbie did.
10:24Declan Donnelly:Margot Robbie did?
10:24Margot Robbie:Margot Robbie replied.
10:25Declan Donnelly:I didn't know we reached out to Margot Robbie.
10:27Margot Robbie:Well, I just did. What? because I thought she was a fan of you and they'll put it past her. They were like, thank you so much. Her schedule in the UK is quite busy at the moment, but we'll put it to her. She is a fan of you. You think you have to do like a birthday message?
10:45Ant McPartlin:Yeah, we had to record a birthday message for Margot Robbie. Tell the story. It's a good story. We got a message from Cara Delevingne on Instagram saying, I'm going to Margot Robbie's birthday. Can you record her a message? She loves you guys. So we... We thought it was a wind-up to start with, didn't we? We had to keep looking at it going, is this really Cara Delevingne? B, is she talking really about Margot Robbie? And is she a fan? And so anyway, we established it was the real Cara Delevingne. She assures us it wasn't a joke. And where were we when we did it? Were we in Australia? No, we did it at the...
11:24Declan Donnelly:It was the England game. It was the Euros final. That's right.
11:28Margot Robbie:Wasn't it?
11:28Declan Donnelly:We did it at Wembley. We did it at Wembley.
11:30Margot Robbie:She's on Graham Norton next week, so she's in the country. So I thought I'd just send her an email just to see.
11:35Ant McPartlin:We were on Graham Norton three weeks too early. Oh, we were. We could have met her. Mind you. She would have been thrilled with that.
11:41Margot Robbie:She would have been.
11:42Declan Donnelly:Because she's such a big fan. She would have been thrilled. She would have, it would have meant more to her than us. It would have made her day. If we were on Graham Norton at the same time. Yeah. Wouldn't it? That would have been a lovely treat for her.
11:54Margot Robbie:Exactly. That's what I was thinking.
11:55Declan Donnelly:She must be promoting Wuthering Heights.
11:58Margot Robbie:That's exactly right.
11:58Declan Donnelly:That looks quite good. Yeah, I like that. That version of it, doesn't it? Yeah. You watched any more movies? Yes, I have. Oh! Oh, he emphatically, if you're just listening to this, clicked his fingers, pointed, and said yes with a raised eyebrow.
12:13Ant McPartlin:And his little eyes lit up. Go on. Knives out. And? The latest one. Because you didn't like the second one.
12:18Declan Donnelly:I loved the first one. Didn't like Glass Onion.
12:20Ant McPartlin:I didn't like Glass Onion.
12:21Declan Donnelly:Boring.
12:22Ant McPartlin:Just relax. I am relaxed. Shut up.
12:26Declan Donnelly:Very good. Very good. Loved it. Declan Donnelly how many stars out of five? Four and a half For him that's really good Four Why would you pull back a half a star? I don't know Four and a half seemed generous Should I watch it tonight? Tonight!
12:44Ant McPartlin:Should I? Yes Knives Out I'm going to watch it tonight Number three
12:47Declan Donnelly:Okay
12:48Ant McPartlin:It's good and it's all set around priests and the Catholic Church so I you know I'm in that world You know that world I know that world so I found it very very interesting Right, okay, good. It was good. It's like, don't know if I understood the whole thing at the end. What do you mean? When he reveals the killer and like how it was done. Like...
13:07Declan Donnelly:Oh, when he talks, like when the detective or whoever... Yeah.
13:11Ant McPartlin:He goes, and then you did this and then you did that and what you failed to do. But it couldn't have been you because it was this and then it came out a long time. And I kind of go,
13:17Declan Donnelly:ha ha, I get it.
13:18Ant McPartlin:Yeah. I don't get it. Not sure you understand it, but it looked lovely. But yeah, it's good. Daniel Craig's good in that and Joshua Connor. Yes. who plays Prince Charles in The Crown. Yes. I like him. He's in it. He's excellent in it.
13:33Declan Donnelly:Is he going to be the new James Bond?
13:34Ant McPartlin:Joshua Conner?
13:36Margot Robbie:We could start a rumour.
13:37Ant McPartlin:Yeah, let's start that rumour. I've heard Joshua Conner's going to be the new James Bond.
13:40Declan Donnelly:I heard it from Jemima.
13:43Margot Robbie:Call me industry.
13:44Declan Donnelly:I heard it from industry, an industry insider. Someone who works in the industry. I heard that. The film industry, the podcast industry.
13:51Ant McPartlin:Nevertheless, adjacent industry. Entertainment industry. Yeah, yeah. Is this entertainment? Is this entertainment? To some it is. To some. Yeah, I've heard it's going to be Joshua Connor.
13:59Margot Robbie:You know who else is in it? Andrew Scott, who... Have you seen the theory online about him?
14:04Ant McPartlin:Andrew Scott. Andrew Scott. Love Andrew Scott. Yes. Andrew Scott is a mixture of... He's our love child. Is that what it is? He does look a bit like the two of us put together. He does. He does morph together. Do you know what? I met... Did we both meet Andrew Scott? No, we did not. I met him at a photo shoot. Huh?
14:21Declan Donnelly:What friend were you doing a photo shoot on your own?
14:23Ant McPartlin:I don't know. Why weren't you there? I don't know. You must have been there. What? I've got a photograph of me and Andrew Scott.
14:32Declan Donnelly:So hold on. Can I show you it? This was like last week's show when you said you went to see Oasis without inviting me. Shall I show you the photo?
14:39Margot Robbie:I've got it here.
14:40Declan Donnelly:How has Fiona got a picture of you and Andrew Scott and I've never seen this picture or didn't even know this happened? What is this for? Why are you all going quiet right now? It's as if you've done something wrong. Where were you? Where the hell was this? I've got a photograph of me and Andrew Scott. Where was that? That wasn't at a photo shoot, was it? Yeah. Where were you? I don't know where I was. Maybe you should answer that. Were you taking the picture? I didn't take that picture. But that's just rude. Is this what this show's going to be? Me just finding stuff out that you've done without me on a weekly basis?
15:17Margot Robbie:Did you ask him for a picture? Did he ask?
15:19Declan Donnelly:Oh, I can't remember.
15:21Ant McPartlin:Would you have asked him? I doubt it. He asked you? Did he say... Well, he's pointing at me. Like, look at this guy. This guy looks a bit like me. Or look, or I look a bit like this guy. Maybe. Did he ask about me? I don't recall that he did. I remember him being a lovely, lovely man. Really lovely man. Really? He could be the next James Bond. He's handsome enough.
15:49Declan Donnelly:I swear to God, it's just a weekly disappointment.
15:54Ant McPartlin:Where were you then there?
15:55Declan Donnelly:I don't know where I was. You tell me where I was. A, why were you doing a photo shoot on your own? B, why are you meeting grade A celebrities on your own and not even remembering where I was?
16:06Ant McPartlin:Got our arms around each other. Proper, proper buddy hug. What did you talk about? I remember us both having a laugh because we've both seen the things about looking like each other. Right. And so we...
16:17Declan Donnelly:No, no, no, no, no, no. Me and you combined look like you. Well, I don't know where you were. You're not looking like one another. We looked like one another. No, it wasn't that. He looked like the pair of us combined. So I was involved in this, but I wasn't involved in the photo and I wasn't involved in the chat. We both laughed about what it's like to look like one another. Did we? Did we really? I think we both found... Don't lunch afterwards, did you?
16:47Ant McPartlin:No, no, no, no. That would be weird.
16:49Declan Donnelly:Text them, did you? Yes. Mate, I knew your name's out. It was wonderful. You're so handsome in it.
16:58Ant McPartlin:Lovely man.
16:59Declan Donnelly:Play the sting and move on.
17:03Declan Donnelly:How's your week been? It's been good. I've had two people try and guess how much my underpants were.
17:08Ant McPartlin:Were they close?
17:09Declan Donnelly:They didn't ask the question though. Did they not? They didn't say, and how much were your underpants? Because I pledged on this show, didn't I, that if someone said that, I would tell them exactly the price. They didn't. I reckon they were like 300 quid and I was like you're wrong and then I walked on by just walk away because that wasn't the pledge was it that wasn't the promise and somebody else guessed 200 quid they were also wrong
17:31Ant McPartlin:if you want to know how much Ant's Pants were from the last episode you've just got to just got to get them on the street and ask them just ask them the question you got them on now yeah they're comfy
17:40Declan Donnelly:oh my god it's amazing
17:41Ant McPartlin:can I touch them
17:42Declan Donnelly:if you want yeah put your hand on the back there come on put your hand down oh my god on there Huh? Have you been working out? Good, huh?
17:52Ant McPartlin:They are really smooth. You've got very tender touch, haven't you?
17:56Declan Donnelly:They're really smooth. Nice, aren't they?
17:57Ant McPartlin:Yeah. How has you always been? It's been good. It's been nice. Me and the current Mrs. Donnelly went out for dinner on Saturday night. I don't know about you now, but I don't take my wallet anywhere. No. It's all on your phone. It's all on my phone. But you know when you're in a restaurant and sometimes you go, oh, what if my phone bleeping doesn't work and I need a credit card? So Mrs. Donnelly's always got a credit card. She said, I'm going to take the kids to the toilet. I said, leave me your credit card. I'll get the bill just in case my bleep bleep doesn't work. So Bill comes over. I go, can I try my bleep bleep?
18:26Ant McPartlin:And I tried the bleep bleep. Worked. So then she comes back with the kids from the toilet. The waiter comes back with your kids? What? No. Ali comes back. Sorry. Ali comes back from the toilet with the kids. Right. Get everything together. Bags and stuff and iPads and all of that. Right. And we leave, get in the car, drive home, put them to bed. Lovely night. We had a nice time. Did you? So, gets to a few days later. She's like, oh, can't find my credit card. I'm like, ah, you gave it to me in the restaurant to bleep bleep. I said, and I gave it to you back. I said, what did you do after you gave it back?
19:02Ant McPartlin:She went, I don't know. I've checked my coat. I've checked the bag we had. I've checked all the kids stuff. Da, da, da, all of this. And I was like, oh, no, you're going to have to call the bank. Put a block on it. Right. Call the bank. Put a block until we find it. So, I was on my way here this morning. put these jeans on it's in your pocket she doesn't even know I haven't literally on the way here today so it's blocked it's blocked but I found it but I'm going to get killed yeah yeah
19:27Declan Donnelly:you are going to get killed that's very you that is that is such a you thing to do well I don't have it check pocket I gave it your back that's what I said I gave it your back so I'm not even going to check my jeans which it's in I checked my gilet it wasn't my gilet pocket of course it was the gilet pocket Why would you put it in the front of your jeans? Because it's kids, isn't it? It's bags and coats and stuff.
19:50Ant McPartlin:You just put it anywhere you can. It's just like that. Oh, come here, you. Come here, you silly goose.
19:56Declan Donnelly:Tell you where I went this week. I went to the driving range. Oh. When Isla gets older and she has a boyfriend, and if that... That's not... She will have a boyfriend. She won't. When Isla gets older and has a boyfriend, he may be into golf, right? Okay, he's alright. I like the sound of him. Yeah, you see? Like my daughter's boyfriend's into golf. Right. And they said to me, would you like to come to the driving range together? We can hit some balls. You can hit some balls with her boyfriend. Now, at some point, Isla's going to ask you this. It's very important you say no. My daughter's like, look, he's going to hit some balls.
20:38Declan Donnelly:Do you want to hit some balls? So I was like, yeah, okay, let's go. And I said to Amzi, I said, why don't you come? and we can make a double date of it. It'll be fun. We'll get some food on the way back. So she's watching me hit balls, not as far as he's hitting balls. So that's demoralising as a husband. Like she's going, oh yeah, well done, honey. When next, in the bay next to me, I can just hear, oh, coosh! Sounds like a rocket going off. He was hitting it 110 yards further than my ball. That's got to hurt. Hurt? It's humiliating. is what it is. There was blokes in the bay next to him leaning over the bay going, oh, man, you hit it so well.
21:19Declan Donnelly:Shut up. You're praising him like that. He gets enough praise off my daughter. And then, just before we're leaving, he hit one so far, it went out of bounds and the screen at the back went black and had a red cross on it. It went out of bounds. Please seek assistance.
21:36Ant McPartlin:Wow. That's what you get when your daughter's dating Rory McIlroy.
21:43Ant McPartlin:This podcast is brought to you by Gemini, Google's personal AI assistant. So you're trying to expand your vocabulary. I am. So you want more...
21:51Declan Donnelly:I want more words I can use... Around the kids. That aren't swear words. Yeah, that always helps. Shall I use Gemini? Give it a bash. Shall I? Yeah. Okay. See what I can come up with. Hi, Gemini. What are some baby-friendly words I can use instead of swear words?
22:09Margot Robbie:That's a good idea. you could use silly words like blimey or jeepers.
22:15Ant McPartlin:Is there anything a bit more modern, a bit more Gen Z? In that case, you could use things like bruh, that's wild, or just a dramatic oof. I mean, if I say the word bruh, it feels like I'm trying a bit too hard.
22:33Declan Donnelly:Gemini, what does beast mode mean?
22:36Margot Robbie:It means putting in maximum effort and determination to achieve something. Does that make sense?
22:42Declan Donnelly:It does. I could use that. Yeah. You should enter beast mode when tidying those toys away. Huh? Bruh. Bruh. Thanks, Gemini. With Gemini, you can chat live with a truly helpful AI assistant. You jump in, brainstorm ideas, ask for more details, or even show it what you're talking about by sharing your screen or camera as well. It's there for a real chat, not just a quick question and done.
23:07Ant McPartlin:Download the Gemini app today to unlock the power of Google AI on your phone.
23:13Declan Donnelly:Check responses, setup required, compatibility and availability varies. 18 plus.
23:20Margot Robbie:When you want your spring break to feel like... And your kid's pool day to feel like... And your hotel bed to feel like... Ooh, and room service to feel like. 23:50Declan Donnelly:Is it time for your diary from 1994 again? Yeehaw! I'll take that as a yes. I've got something. Oh, good aeroplane, Jemima. I've got something to read before. You read your diary. Oh, okay. Hi, Andek. Hi. I'm Russ, the crew bus driver for your first three tours. You might remember me as the guy who met your car when you arrived backstage at Portsmouth City Hall and your driver stroke security, John. I remember that gig because a few fans had made their way into the stage door compound where the bus and truck were parked and John had stopped the car with a wheel on some poor girl's foot.
24:29Ant McPartlin:No. Don't laugh. They are laughing. They're really laughing over there.
24:36Declan Donnelly:Some poor girl's foot had a car parked. Anyway, I told John to move back and we got the girl sat down, got some ice, then medics were on site and I think she was taken to hospital for an extra. Oh no.
24:50Ant McPartlin:Oh no. Bless her.
24:54Declan Donnelly:Happy days, he says. Happy days. Ross. If you ever do it again, I'd come out of retirement just to annoy you both again. Russ the boss. I think I remember Russ. I remember Russ. Russ the boss. Well, it's good to hear from you, Russ. Please, if you've got any more funny stories, not so funny for the girl, I wish it was okay. We didn't find out the results of the x-ray, did we?
25:20Ant McPartlin:No, I mean, it's kind of left us in limbo a little bit. Is she all right?
25:24Margot Robbie:I don't know, but there was a...
25:26Declan Donnelly:Don't know, but it's funny. If you are that girl who our security driver, John drove onto your foot in Portsmouth if you're the girl in question get in touch and let us know that you made a full recovery if you didn't if you didn't
25:42Ant McPartlin:don't bring our day down
25:43Declan Donnelly:that leads us on nicely to your diary ooh should we have a little look at it play the sting if anybody out there would like to write us a little jingle or some music just for this section of the podcast Dex Diary then please send it in and we'll play it every week Yes, that's right.
26:03Ant McPartlin:Make it better than that. Yeah. Now, do you remember we left it on a cliffhanger last week that we were off to do a photo shoot the following day? Oh yeah, with Andrew Scott, was it? No, it wasn't with Andrew Scott. But do you remember who you think it was? You said it wasn't Smash Hits. What do you mean Smash Hits? It wasn't just 17. Miz, my guy, Jackie.
26:23Declan Donnelly:Fast forward. Fast forward. I think I went for fast forward in the end. Okay. Where we met Andy Peters.
26:28Ant McPartlin:Yes. 30th of March, 1994. Day three. Slept like a baby last night. That's good. That's good. It was a right effort to get up this morning.
26:43Ant McPartlin:Left Northamptonshire at 11.30 for a photo session with...
26:47Declan Donnelly:Photo session? Nobody calls it a photo session. A photo session? You stopped for a photo session? I met Andrew Scott at a photo session. You weren't at the photo session.
27:02Ant McPartlin:Left Northampton 11.30 for a photo session with... The Daily Star.
27:07Declan Donnelly:What? The Daily Star? The Daily Star. None of us guessed The Daily Star, did we? They used to do quite a lot then back in the day, didn't they?
27:15Ant McPartlin:Yeah. I don't know if we were on page seven. No, we wouldn't have been a page seven fella. Definitely not on page three.
27:24Ant McPartlin:It's mad when you think about it, isn't it? What? We just used to have women with their boobs out on the page three of the paper. That is mad. It is mad. It is. It's terrible. And at the time, we're all like, yeah. Now you're like, that was mad that that ever happened. Yeah, I know. Anywho, the photographer was late. Was he? Yeah. Do you remember that photographer?
27:46Declan Donnelly:How unprofessional. Of course I don't.
27:48Ant McPartlin:I think the photographer was married to the showbiz reporter. Oh, yes, yes, yes.
27:51Declan Donnelly:Remember? Yes, yes, I do. Yes, yes.
27:53Ant McPartlin:We eventually got started after 2.30. We left London at 3.30 and bombed, underlined, to Preston. Hold on.
28:02Declan Donnelly:Did you talk about the photo session? No. No detail? Nah. There's no detail. It took an hour. It took an hour and we had to bomb to London. We had to bomb to Preston. Preston from London. From London. Oh my God, that's a long drive. That's like a five hour, six hour drive, isn't it?
28:14Ant McPartlin:Went on stage at around 8.30 at Tokyo Joe's. Oh my God. Remember Tokyo Joe's nightclub? Tokyo Joe's in Preston.
28:22Declan Donnelly:Wow. That was quite a famous place to play at, Tokyo Joe's, back in the day.
28:25Ant McPartlin:What a reception we got. Did we? Mm-hmm. There was no stage, only a dance floor, and they stormed it twice. Wow. They went wild.
28:40Margot Robbie:You can't write that about yourself.
28:43Ant McPartlin:They went wild for me. The crowd were spot on. Signed as many autographs as we could. With the autograph cards? With the autograph cards. Thank God they came. Before they chucked everyone out. This was the gig we needed security most above all the others. The girls were wild.
29:04Declan Donnelly:Stop it, man.
29:06Margot Robbie:Stop it.
29:08Declan Donnelly:There's no embarrassment in you reading this.
29:11Ant McPartlin:I feel like it's a different person. Check this bit out. The girls were wild. Willies and arses grabbed the wax.
29:24Declan Donnelly:Oh, I miss those days. I miss those days. That was just part of it.
29:30Ant McPartlin:The security guys complimented us. They said, we've had them all here. Bad boys, Inc. Worlds apart. We've never had a reaction like that.
29:38Declan Donnelly:Yes! In your face, worlds apart. In your face, bad boys, Inc.
29:44Ant McPartlin:Travelled to the hotel. Another forte. Oh, yeah. Guess what? Comfortable. Yep. No hairdryer. No hairdryer.
29:52Declan Donnelly:Buy a hairdryer. At this point, buy a hairdryer. I just imagine my boots. I've got a boot by hair, can't you? Tight arse.
30:00Margot Robbie:You've got to get everything for free, don't you? I just imagine my hair's constantly wet.
30:07Declan Donnelly:Why are you going to keep those curtains up? Looking fresh.
30:11Ant McPartlin:Oh, well, a lie-in in the morning and then a trip to the wildfowl park. Why? I can hardly wait.
30:24Declan Donnelly:Oh my Have you signed it off? Have you signed it? Autographed it? Yeah yeah yeah Oh there's more is there?
30:29Ant McPartlin:Our road manager Paid us a big compliment tonight He said I've only ever seen Girls like this Or new kids on the block You two Could be the next New kids
30:37Declan Donnelly:In your face New kids On the block Bad boys think Bad boys think Words apart Signed Decky Do Decky Do There we go That is my favourite one yet Is it? Best one yet.
30:50Margot Robbie:They keep getting better.
30:51Ant McPartlin:Willies and arses grab the lock. I also wrote on this one a quote of the day. Oh, okay. Quote of the day, at breakfast in Cockney Cafe, woman, where are you from? Underlined, where are you from? Aunt, Newcastle, woman. Oh, how come you got into E17 then?
31:09Declan Donnelly:I did look a lot like Brian Harvey back in the day. There was a lot of similarities. We both used to wear caps. And big eyebrows.
31:16Ant McPartlin:What? You both had big eyebrows. Had. Still have. Eyebrows. Still had eyebrows? Yeah, eyebrows. Look at eyebrows. Yeah.
31:26Declan Donnelly:Have you got a photograph with you and Brian Harvey? Probably not on my phone. I think it was probably taken for Ms. Magazine. Where was I? There. You would have been there. That was great. You like it? I like that a lot. Let me have a look. Let it never, ever run out. And then we publish it. Let's have a look.
31:49Ant McPartlin:We're off to Bolton next week. Bolton! We're off to Bolton. Can't wait. See you then. We have had loads of lovely emails and letters this week. Good. Do you want to have a look at a few? I'd love to. Let's delve into the hanging out post bag. Oh, we've got a new post bag.
32:04Declan Donnelly:Look at this one. That's a proper one. That's better, isn't it? Branded and everything. It's a bit better than last week's. Well done, guys. Well done, Fiona. Weedy effort. Here we go. And the rest of you, but she's the only I can really see. It's because she's so cleanly shamed The rest of you
32:21Ant McPartlin:Need to work on your stubble Right This is from Megan Hello Hello Megan Hello Megan For my fourth birthday My mum got me a cake With you on it And I kept shouting Telling everyone That I wanted One specific piece of cake And no one was allowed To touch it For some strange reason It was Ant's right eye Love you guys Megan P.S. Not the sty eye No, it's not the star eye. It's the other eye.
32:47Declan Donnelly:The star eye was my left eye.
32:48Ant McPartlin:She wanted your good eye. She wanted your good eye. She knew back then. Yeah, even then. She could see into the future, Megan. Even then there was something not quite right about that dear duck. How funny. How very funny. That's quite an interesting one, though, to get an Ant-N-Tec birthday cake for your fourth birthday. It's like, we're not Mr. Tumble.
33:10Margot Robbie:You know what I mean? Yeah, I do. We're not Paw Patrol. Yeah. Why would you get a four-year-old in Ant-Dec cake? Even back then?
33:20Declan Donnelly:I don't know. I can't answer that.
33:22Margot Robbie:But four-year-olds in Ant-Dec when we were doing Saturday mornings?
33:24Declan Donnelly:Can you even get Ant-Dec cakes? She obviously made it. This is from Amy. I listened to your first podcast and loved it. Thank you very much. Dex Diary page was especially fascinating, particularly because it reminded me of the letter he wrote to me back in 1991. He wrote her a letter, which I've attached here, along with the photo that came with it. In a world of emails and instant messages, having something so personal and hard written is incredibly special and it's something I've treasured for all these years. Thank you for the memories. Here's to many more years of success and making the nation smile, Amy.
34:03Declan Donnelly:This is the letter, dear Amy. Well, why didn't you read it? You wrote it.
34:08Ant McPartlin:I don't know if I read me or write it. Amy, thanks for your letter. Sorry it seems so long to wait for a reply. I have just finished my mock exams and I've been studying. Swat, swat. I have passed your compliment on to Matthew. He was chuffed to bits. I'm glad you're enjoying Series 3. We are planning Series 4 ready to start shooting early March for Transmission next October. Transmission?
34:29Declan Donnelly:Nobody says that. Photo session and transmission.
34:33Ant McPartlin:Keep glue to your set. Merry Christmas. God bless. Lots of love. Declan Donnelly. Nice letter.
34:38Margot Robbie:Do you want to see the photo? I'd love to see a photo. Hey, there it is. There it is.
34:44Ant McPartlin:Look at that. That's the autograph card that was in the door on the Munchkin photo from last week. Talk to us about the leather jacket you're wearing.
34:53Declan Donnelly:If you're only listening to this, it's a black and white photo of Dec with, they're not quite centre curtains. It's kind of a centre part end. Yes. It looks a little 80s, that hair, but this is the 90s. 91. So yeah, so we just crept into the 90s. Dec's still hanging on to the 80s with his hairstyle. He's wearing a white t-shirt and a black leather jacket. Like a jacket. Like Bross would wear. Yes. Like Bross would wear back in the day. Was that your jacket or did you just borrow that for the photo shoot?
35:24Ant McPartlin:That was my jacket.
35:25Declan Donnelly:You wore that. Well, you wore that.
35:27Ant McPartlin:I'll tell you why.
35:27Declan Donnelly:Out and about. You wore that in Newcastle and didn't get bullied.
35:31Ant McPartlin:I didn't actually wear it very much. I'm not surprised.
35:36Declan Donnelly:You're not a biker boy, are you? I mean, you were in Biker Grove, but why the biker jacket? I'm going to explain to you in a minute. That's so unnew. It's such... Now I know him, after all these years, he would never wear anything like that. Not only am I wearing it... You wouldn't get on a motorbike.
35:54Ant McPartlin:Not only am I wearing it, I'd pull the collar up.
35:57Declan Donnelly:Oh, yeah. Like Stefan Dennis. Do you want to make it feel good? Yeah, you have as well. Wow. And you've got a pinky ring. You've got a pinky ring on. Is it your family crest? No.
36:11Ant McPartlin:So do you want me to explain about the jacket? I'd love you to explain about the jacket if you can. So I had to get headshots for my agent. So I was in Boutier Grove. They said, you've got to get headshots for the agent to send out to people and whatnot. So I booked, so the agent said, use this photographer. We use him all the time. So I rang him up, I spoke to him. And he said, I said, what should I wear? He went, just, you know, anything casual, anything that sums you up. That's not casual. He said, he said, I'll tell you what looks really good on camera, a leather jacket. I was like, I've got a leather jacket.
36:45Ant McPartlin:If you can get a leather jacket, it looks really good in black and white photos. Right, okay. So I went.
36:49Declan Donnelly:And you went for that leather jacket?
36:51Ant McPartlin:I went for that leather jacket. Wow.
36:53Declan Donnelly:Did you get it from Paul's for Fashion? I think I did. Yeah. It was a shop in Newcastle. Paul's for Fashion, it was called. That's where you would go and get your leather jackets from. I never wore it again. And have you signed it to Amy? You have to Amy. Love and best wishes. happy riding Declan Donnelly stay tuned for transmission brilliant that's brilliant there's the diary and now this this is just brilliant
37:23Ant McPartlin:all the letters are to me about you I've got one here go on from Ranjita I have a question for Ant I know he has ADHD and as a fellow ADHDer going through an intense hyper fixation at the moment. I was wondering what Anne's current hyperfixations were. I can answer that. Underpants.
37:48Declan Donnelly:I'm trying to think what my hyperfixation is. Is that a thing? A hyperfixation? Yeah, you have obsessive periods. I did not know this. Yeah. People think if you've got ADHD that you skit about and you can't concentrate and you can't sit still. That's part of it because you know that. But there's also parts of it where you can hyper fixate on something. So you could, like, I used to love Lego when I was a kid because I could sit and play with Lego for ages. While I've got this, it's not Lego, but it's like a magnet.
38:20Ant McPartlin:Oh, yeah.
38:20Declan Donnelly:You know the magnet tiles?
38:22Ant McPartlin:Colored thing. Colored tiles. I would stick together, yeah.
38:24Declan Donnelly:It's really infuriating. That's kind of my hyper fixation at the minute because I try and build stuff with him, but he just knocks it down because he's 20 months. He goes, ah, and knocks it over. He needs to learn. You silly goose. Oh, shoot. He's knocked it down again. I wait till he's got to bed and then I build something myself. Yeah, like a cathedral or something. What? A cathedral? Yeah.
38:49Ant McPartlin:Not just a church.
38:51Declan Donnelly:No, we got to... Oh, it's not a church. It's a cathedral. It was big. Yeah, it was big. So I would say that's what it is at the minute. Yeah, that's a trait of... That's a thing. Wow. Did not know that. But that'll pass. it'll be something different next week will it really very transitory yeah bananas oh no that's that's never present that's ever present oh my god that was so funny last week the bananas oh my goodness when we did the bottom set was so funny
39:16Ant McPartlin:so if you haven't seen Monday's Mystery Door you must go back and watch Ant's attempt to break the Guinness World Record of the most bananas eaten in one minute it was incredible oh my god would you do it again yes you will oh no I'm being serious I would definitely do it again
39:32Declan Donnelly:are you going to hyper fixate on... Trying to break the record. Yes. Great. Yes. And I've been practicing and I'm getting better. Keep your letters coming in. Email us at Belterbox. No. Here we go again. Email us at hanging out at what is it again?
