0:22I'm Victoria. you. I'm Giovanna. The game's on. Welcome back to another episode of your favorite football podcast, The Game by the girls for everyone. We are doing a lot of yapping and recapping today, talking about a lot of stuff that's going on in the league, some crazy games over the weekend, some celebrity drama per usual. And we can't wait for you to listen. If you're new here, We have one to two episodes a week. We talk about the games that happened the week ahead, and then we also do interviews. If there's somebody that you would love for us to interview, please let us know. But let's get into it.

1:03We got a lot to talk about today, and I feel like a fun one. It'll be just a yap and recap casual things that we love from the weekend. Yeah, I think the tea is piping hot coming out of week seven, Loki, because there's a lot of things to talk about. And I feel like we have to start with one of the most like literally laugh out loud moments for myself seeing this play out. The Kelsey brothers and the whole tree thing. Like, oh, yeah, this was insane. I was so confused because I'm like, first of all, OK, if you haven't. I don't really know the full story, but I'm guessing Taylor Swift refers to Travis as a redwood tree in one of her songs.

1:49Is that correct? yeah so Taylor came out with the song wood and apparently it's from the interview she did it started as like knocking on wood and things like that but then it somewhere in there got like fairly raunchy so she calls Travis a redwood tree for his you know what no the way I'm like scrolling through TikTok trying to figure out what this means and then i see when jason and travis because like they have their podcast the kelsey brothers have their podcast jason is essentially like making fun of travis for it and then jason goes well i'm more of a japanese maple kind of guy and then i looked up what a japanese maple tree looks like wait what no it's like it's kind of bushy first of all like it's like it's it's hairy Let's let's that's the best way for me to describe it.

2:49But the icing on the cake was Kylie, Jason, Kelsey's wife, putting it in her bio on Instagram. And I think she's like a big fan of Japanese maple or something like that. Yeah. And that's just why I love I love Jason and Kylie. Like they're just hilarious and so iconic. So that's how I pretty much started my week out after the conclusion of week seven was learning about different trees and thinking about it in that context. Yeah. So the lyric in the Taylor song is. Forgive me, it sounds cocky. He omitized me. He opened my eyes. Redwood tree. It ain't hard to see. His love was the key that opened my thighs.

3:35oh my gosh I need to go to church after hearing that that is raunchy Taylor I know I know I love it though I I love that she is so much more fearless no pun intended than she used to be because she's 35 and a billionaire and a lot of people like kind of came at her for this and were like this is raunchy and do you know who your audience is and she's like I'm a 35 year old woman dating an NFL superstar one of the hottest men on the planet like I'm gonna say what I'm gonna say yeah yeah I think we talked about this before but it almost is like because I saw this TikTok about how Taylor might lose fans because she's like now 35 and she still plays into the like I wouldn't say Kitty because like she's not Kitty at all, but more of like an adolescent demographic with a lot of her fans.

4:37And so now with this new album, especially she's trying to like break the barrier. It's like Selena Gomez leaving Disney Channel and like trying to be a grown woman. It's like that kind of situation. I kind of, are you a Swift? You're not a Swifty. I'm like, I don't hate the girl, but like, I don't listen to her music. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Because I disagree because I don't think that she was ever for the kids. I just think that she had music that she wasn't towing the line in the majority of her songs. But I think like lyrically, she's one of the most advanced artists of our time. And I think that because so many women in their 30s, late 20s, 30s love Taylor, their kids end up loving Taylor.

5:23So I don't think that she was ever child forward or like adolescent. I just think she hasn't pushed these boundaries very often. But then she also has a song dress, which is one of my favorite songs. And the lyrics in that song say, I only bought this dress so you could take it off. So it's like, if you really look, it's in there. But people just don't like this one because it's outwardly raunchy. Yeah. And I think it's too, it's like more of a, I feel like Taylor always has songs about the men of her life, right? Like that's kind of like a little bit what she's known for, but the fact that she's now engaged to Travis and like, you can actually like, you, you know, you know.

6:05Yeah. But I think if you venture to look into Taylor's lyrics, like you're not going to find like sweet, innocent Disney channel ask lyrics. People just don't point them out. And then And now she says new heights in wood. She says new heights, which is crazy, which is the name of their podcast. Okay. I'm looking up. What is it? Japanese redwood. Japanese maple tree. It's like, it's, it's, it's, it's not long. It's, it's pretty, pretty like short and to the point. This is fucking insane. I know. I know. No, this is it's it says a deciduous tree or shrub native to Japan, Korea and China. But the thing is, it's like this is like a thin tree.

6:58There's no this is there is no way this is what Jason Kelsey is. That's what he said. Those are words straight from his mouth. He self he self-proclaimed. And that's so funny. Yeah. A symbol of elegance and timelessness, apparently.

7:22Honestly, that describes Jason so well. No, literally, a king. This is why we love Jason. Yeah. Yeah. You know what I also really love, though, about the Kelsey brothers is they... Obviously, having Taylor stuff on their show is good for business for them. Totally. but the way that they like speak about it bring it up all the time not in curated ways like the way that they talk about both Kylie and Taylor I feel like it's like that or nothing yeah like if my boyfriend isn't promoting the hell out of this podcast every second he gets like I don't want him no I can also appreciate the fact that like it's not like a they don't do it in a cringy way either like it's very natural it's very authentic jason was like lucky making fun of travis for his girlfriend talking about that on on a song you know like yeah and like travis was like you could tell he was like oh jason like uh so i i can appreciate like the brother the brotherly like bickering and like tough love and stuff about it and i think that's why their show is just so good it's so good yeah i think that they have they have such a good show.

8:39And then the last note. So Kylie actually, she commented on this on her show. So she has a show, Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelsey. And she interviews like some really good guests on there. But she was like, you know, this is probably more than I ever needed to know about my brother-in-law. But she essentially ended up clapping for him. And she was like, you know what, Trav, like, go off.

9:01Also, a freaking queen. Okay, so speaking of wood and men and sexual innuendo, Pukunukua.

9:20I don't know where you're going with this, but I'm here for it. Keep going, keep going. Pukunukua, what? may or may have not gotten somebody pregnant. Oh. His BYU girlfriend. And somehow this has stayed out of the media. Like. Yeah, I didn't know about this. I didn't know about this till like a week and a half ago. And then he got hurt. And once he got hurt, I think like more, I don't know, I must've searched him or something because more stuff was popping up on my feed. But apparently his girlfriend or ex-girlfriend got pregnant and requested a custody test or not a custody, a paternity test from Puka, which is crazy because Puka is like pretty on the younger end.

10:08And it's not unusual for like NFL players to have baby mamas and stuff. But he's 24. If you didn't know, he's a wide receiver for the Rams, and he's having an absolutely insane season so far. Let me pull up his stats. But yeah, an insane season. But he's in the media in some form or fashion, like page six style for this baby mama paternity scandal, which is just kind of crazy. Puka. So, yeah, his regular season, 54 receptions, 616 yards, longest is 31 and two touchdowns so far. Then he got injured. But I just think it's crazy because he's been one of the most talked about wide receivers. He's just a complete dog.

10:59He's playing so well. And somehow he's like getting out unscathed with all of this drama. And maybe because it's just paternity. maybe it's because like it's not confirmed and they're young and the girlfriend is not it's not like Stefan Diggs and Cardi where Cardi's pregnant with Stefan's baby yeah so I don't know I just wanted to bring that up because I was shocked by that because I had no idea yeah Haley Ayano filed a petition in June 2025 to legally confirm that he is the father of her unborn child She announced the pregnancy with him in May, and then they split. And the lawsuit requests that Puka be legally confirmed.

11:41And she's seeking financial support for the pregnancy and legal fees, while also requesting primary custody. Wow. And visitation rights for Puka. So that's, like, crazy to announce it with her breakup, up and then and i guess it's legally mandated because money is involved and anytime that much money is involved right well you also have like he is an nfl star and you know yeah that whole thing we know how that goes but i'm curious why they broke up i wonder like what happened because that's interesting it must have been bad for him to like well yeah but like for him to break up with her while she's like carrying his child or did she break up with him very true but it'd be crazy to break up with him and then be like give me money wait okay you know what i love though that i've always wanted to like i say i always wanted to do this but i don't actually because if i wanted to i would but when girls break up and then they venmo request the men for like expenses you're like i pay for this here the gucci wallet i got you for your birthday yeah and or it's like or it's like emotional damage emotional damage yeah okay so in california there is like a mandatory formula based on each parent's income and the number of children tax filing status child care costs and health insurance health insurance but since puka is rich obviously then the then the lawyers have to be like okay we have to like confirm right or maybe oh i don't want to i don't want to speculate know what i'm like what if she what if she cheated and he left her well okay i my my initial thought when you first told me this i was wondering like maybe he wants to confirm that well it says it's legally mandated oh interesting so the court ordered it so he could have technically asked for it yeah but this is saying legally mandated that's a lot can we get a lawyer can we get the docs yeah that's just like a lot to think about but i hope it works out for them Yeah, he's on a four-year rookie contract with the Rams worth approximately$4.08 million.

14:23His salary is just over a million. So he's a valuable rookie contract. A lot of other rookies are on like$800K in their first years. $244 ,000 signing bonus and his only guarantee is the signing bonus. Expired after the 2026 season. But honestly, like 250K in California is like actually doesn't go that far compared to other places. California is like New York. L.A. is so expensive. Like 250K, like you can't be having two adults and a whole child and living like you can survive for sure. Like you don't need you only people really only people need much less than they use in America. but like raising multiple kids and an entire family in LA on 250k is like you're not going to be living lavishly by you by any means right and if you want to live by the beach like a million dollars a year no just forget about it you're not you're not buying a beach house you rent you brought up Stefan Diggs earlier and I have beef with his brother I have major beef with his brother his brother Trayvon Diggs if you don't know the Diggs brothers both play in the NFL Trayvon is on the Cowboys obviously my team the boys this man got a concussion not on the field off the field no no he wasn't like in the middle of an NFL game or like at practice he was in his house and got a concussion and the reason why I'm beef with this man is because he has been injury prone since like day dot and we actually just got deron bland back what is day dot like since forever okay he has been injured for forever we got deron bland back which is an amazing defensive player we just got him back this last game and he actually had to pick six and so like deron bland and trayvon diggs both on our cowboys defense is like a big deal Like they're pretty good defensive players.

16:26But now Cowboys fans are up in arms because like, we don't think he wants to be here anymore. Like you might as well trade him. And then he goes and gets a concussion in his house. Like I. Wait, so why, why did people, like why did he not want to be there anymore? You know, so T, Trayvon was really close to Micah. Like they were kind of two peas in a pod. Yeah, if my friend gets off the team, I'm like, I'd rather go to my bestie, you know, like when my best friend moved to Northern California, I was like, should I move to Northern California? They're very close when you're in the NFL. Is it a little different?

17:07Yes, but he has been acting out. And then I saw this. So this is interesting. And I know you're going to like this because you're a realtor. realtor.com posted a tiktok and it said trayvon diggs listed texas mansion for four million dollars just before suffering a concussion at his home so he lists his home and then gets a concussion and gets like it's just confusing and on the surface you're like okay so what if he listed his home but now i'm like questioning everything and the fact that Is there any info about this concussion? In terms of what? Like how it happened? Nobody knows. It just says an accident or an incident at home.

17:57Yeah. And then he didn't play this past weekend in week seven.

18:05So. That's crazy. Yeah, there's literally this one, like the first comment on this video that says, I'm sorry, Diggs, real Cowboys fans wanted it to work out. You were a beast. And then unfortunately you got injured. If you end up losing Dallas, we saw you give you your all. And hopefully you'll produce like the Diggs we know at your next home. But everyone just wants the old Diggs back because he's a good player. But I don't know. He hasn't been. But it's the Diggs brothers, honestly. I do think that if you watch one of your besties get done wrong by the organization, it's hard to ignore that.

18:41But the concussion is suspect. Yeah. Like, did they bring a blue tent to his house?

18:50Oh, my gosh. Like, the medical staff. No, and then I'm like, how do you, how do you, my thought process is like, how do you show up to practice the next day and be like, yeah, coach, by the way? I think, I don't think, I think you call him. I don't think you, I don't think you just show up. Do you call him when it happens? Yeah, I think you call him the second you know you have a confession. that's fair that's fair i'm like what were you doing were you like i hope more information down the stairs or i don't know man the house is nice though i'll give it to him it's a nice house honestly that shit's so fun riding mattress down the stairs like did you do that yes all the time yeah or like when you if you have carpeted stairs then it's sick because then you can just go down in a sleeping bag you don't even need the mattress honestly screw the sleeping bag just put on some long pants zoom you're gone but they can't like they can't ride up because then you're gonna get carpet burn and that's that's that's not not fun that's why that's why you need the sleeping bag i'm getting like all of these flashbacks from my childhood right now like i was when cheetah girls came out i was the perfect age when cheetah girls came out because i was middle school like unaware that i was super weird yet and we i remember like my siblings and i we had this like cheetah blanket on our couch and we would sing the cheetah girls coming down the stairs and i just have this like core memory of that it's so funny that's insane you know what's interesting about the cowboys though like dac is playing really good football and i think this last week's win was the best word and Schottenheimer and Dallas Cowboys head coach said this.

20:40It was complimentary football, which I think the Cowboys haven't seen in a long time. Like the defense made plays. We had sass, we had a pick six. And then you have George Pickens on the same page. You have C.D. Liam on the same page. Everyone's getting followed on the offensive side of things. And so it was a good win for the Cowboys. And I'm excited to see what happens. Am I going to say we're going to make a Did he play off of us just yet? Nope. But we did play some really good football. And I think the culture is a lot different because I saw a video of Schottenheimer in the locker room after that win.

21:15And the guys were amped up. Schottenheimer was in there coaching. It was almost back in the Jimmy Johnson days. It was good. It was good to watch. I love the locker room videos. Like, I love, love, love them. They're just, like, so fun. they're so fun to watch and i love being in on what's going on yeah and like you kind of get it's like an inside look onto how they operate but speaking of locker rooms obviously the ravens haven't been doing too good and i'm curious to get your ravens are so bad yeah they're i mean again lamar jackson's not playing but i'm curious to get your take on this okay so the ravens aren't doing too good they decide to take out so they have like toys if you will in their locker room like they have a ping pong table they have a basketball hoop they have all these things they decided to do away with it because they're losing so bad so the Ravens have now gone in taking out all of these things in their locker room because they're playing bad and I guess you can like chop it up to be like it's a distraction for them in the locker room but when i saw this i'm like what is taking away a ping pong table in a basketball hoop gonna help your record like i don't understand the correlation so i'm curious to hear your thoughts okay i have two thoughts ping pong tables do not create culture okay every tech bro in the effing world needs to learn.

22:47A ping pong table does not make your company good. So let me start with that. However, if you have it and the guys are using it, like what a weird punishment, right? Like what a weird thing to do. Like I just, I don't know. There's no way a ping pong table is making you lose. Right. Like maybe you should look at your coaches and take away their fucking ping pong tables or their Porsches or whatever their fun thing is. No, I was like, I just don't understand how taking away these things in the locker room are going to help you win games. Win football games. Yeah, like also you're, they're never in the locker room unless they're getting dressed.

23:36And so if the guys are on the line at the time you tell them to be, it's a weird move, I think. I think this is like a weird power trip. I would guess that there is a power imbalance at the Ravens and that power imbalance is coming out in the coaching and in the player performance because the players are obviously not playing well, but the players can only do so much if the play callers are not on the same page. And if you're relying on one guy and the like offensive coordinators not stepping up to put people in the right spots, then like it's on the coaches. And this is a weird way to put it on the players, even though I don't think this is the players fault.

24:13I mean, it's a team sport. I said this last week, football is a team sport. One person can't do it. Everyone has to do their job. The only excuse that the Ravens might have is like, we want the players to be bought in, talking to their teammates, watching tape. That's the only argument I can possibly see when it comes to taking away these things in a locker room but that's still like not enough justification to like do this yeah also just like fucking weird moves like make curfew earlier we learned on the with brooklyn like they have a curfew they go to hotels like make the curfew earlier what like the ping pong table is not the problem and it never will be No.

24:59Like a ping pong table is not call of duty that girls want their boyfriends to get off of. Like it's just not nobody's playing. Actually, one time I went to go try and play indoor pickleball. And my boyfriend and I at the time walked into like a very competitive ping pong tournament. Like people were sweating. There was like 40 tables in there. Dang. It was crazy. So maybe for those guys, if you're wearing a sweatband playing ping pong, it's an issue. If the sweat bands haven't come out, leave the table. But it's crazy because like you think that taking a ping pong table away from Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Cooper Rush, Zay Flowers, DeAndre Hopkins, Mark Andrews, Jaheir Alexander, you think, Isaiah Likely, you think that a ping pong table is going to change the game?

25:51Don't forget the basketball hoop. and the basket someone needs to get fired yeah honestly don't take away the toys take away the personnel take away the coaching staff y 'all gotta bring take away your fucking play calls literally you should actually drop the play call sheet because it's not fucking working and let the players decide what to do next because

26:17yeah that's so funny and like crazy i wonder if this is all pr media spun stuff because are they about to renovate the locker room so they're taking stuff away and like some reporter went in there and was like they took it all away and now we're perpetuating this story when it's like literally not even a thing it's like not even that deep you know like it's not that deep it's like the the instagram that's like girl whatever so the baltimore sun which is a newspaper obviously that reports in baltimore stuff they said after falling one in five your current record the one in five guys the ravens removed players ping pong table video game consoles basketball hoop and cornhole boards from the locker room it doesn't give an exact reason as to why but you can kind of i mean this story Whoever wrote this story has created an entire kerfuffle because now this is on Bleacher Report.

27:17This is like everywhere. Yeah. It's one of those things that it just doesn't make sense when you first look at it. Like, I thought it was a joke. I really did. Like, is the Baltimore Sun like actually a good source? That's what I'm wondering. This is my UC Davis research background coming out of like, is this source actually good? Do they actually write about anything good? Do they have good takes? I think the Baltimore Sun, it says, continue reading. Cardiologist half cup before bed burns belly fat like crazy. Tinnitus ear ringing has been linked to a common habit. Edema is not from salty food.

28:04Meet the real enemy of swollen legs. so

28:10we'll have to do some more research but regardless I would love for them to just be doing like a crazy locker room upgrade and it all just started with this and like some guys I mean front office sports has reported it bleacher report has reported it yeah but just because everyone perpetuates it doesn't make it good information yes yeah Yeah. Like, because nobody else is referencing anything else. So I think we have to look up. I mean, I love this story. I'm glad we talked about it because it's funny. But I feel like we have to look up now. Like, well, the good thing is people are probably going to ask them about it in a press conference.

28:51Well, okay. So it says a lot of these articles are referencing the Baltimore Sun and their initial report. but then this one says this is a common occurrence in the nfl where teams often swing between viewing fun in the locker room as an important part of team building and deciding that players are having too much fun at the expense of winning football games so if it's like a common occurrence and like this happens in the nfl i haven't heard it happening we recently but maybe it does i don't You know? But hey, if the Ravens really think that this is going to change their culture and help them win football games, then at this point, anything, anything works.

29:47Because y 'all need help. One of their headlines says, Ravens are beating themselves up. Time to beat someone else up.

30:00Per usual, we want to thank our sponsor at Cuso Cuts, the best seasonings. They make your food so good, so easy. Flavors are bold. I recently was on a call with their team and they were saying to use one of the habanero lime seasonings as a margarita rim. And the amount that I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to using it on the rim, I never would have thought of that. and so I'll be making margaritas for game day because this is gonna be one of my last game days at home probably for a lot of the season. I'll be like elsewhere at games at other people's houses so now that I'm at my house, I gotta make it.

30:43If you wanna try out Cuso Cuts, they are the best seasonings for grilling season. All natural ingredients, you can use code THEGAME at checkout for 10 % off. Thank you Cusos for sponsoring us.

30:59yeah well it's interesting you bring up coaches and personnel because we talked about the first mid-season coach firing last week the titans but yeah i will head coach in miami i was gonna say big mike but that doesn't feel right it's more like kind of like little mike honestly he Big Mike is definitely Mike Tomlin Yeah If there was a Big Mike Big Mac, Big Mike Should we put Mike Tomlin's head on a Big Mac? Like have it floating on the screen Oh my god That would be kind of scary Because his eyes were kind of like Big so like imagine that Anyways Mike McDaniel I say this every single day Count your days brother Count your days Everyone wants you gone.

31:51Even Miami fans want you gone. Like it is time. And then, oh, oh, he attacked the people's princess. He went. He went for the jugular when it comes to Tua. He literally said in a press conference after the game, alluded to making player changes. I thought that was so condescending. descending and i'm sitting here like okay has tua been playing great football no but tua would say that himself like tua literally after that game said like i haven't been playing good i was self-aware but for your coach to come out and i'm gonna talk about the jets in a little bit after this but for your coach to come out and throw you under the bus like that tells me everything I need to know.

Read the full transcript

32:44We already, we know the culture in Miami is terrible. We know it's trash because your coach is just trying to save his job by throwing you under the bus. Yeah. Also, let's look at his, at Tua's stats compared to like Jared Goff because he's top. Or let's do, who should we do him compared to? We should do him like compared to like, like not a, not like Jared, maybe like Aaron Rodgers or something. Okay. Yeah. Let's do, let's do Tua versus Aaron. Okay. So dolphins are one in five. Yeah. Or two and four. Okay. Dolphins are one in five to a, okay. His stats versus Aaron. So Tua's regular season yards, 13, 13, 11 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a rating of 82.8.

33:40Aaron Rogers. 1 ,270 yards, 14 touchdowns, five interceptions, and a rating of 105. So his rating is a lot higher, but he only has 150 more passing yards, three more touchdowns. And I feel like the real problem with Tua is his interceptions. He has 10 interceptions, which obviously is highly contributing to the losses. So that's kind of on Tua. But like his yards are good. So if he can just stop throwing picks. Also, if you didn't know, my sister didn't know that pick six was when it's an interception to a touchdown. So if you didn't know, an interception is called a pick. And if you intercept it and take it all the way to the end zone, so a defender scores a touchdown, that's what a pick six is.

34:29Yeah. So I mean, like yards and touchdowns are fairly comparable for seven weeks in 150 less yards three less touchdowns it was just crazy to me that like i don't know to there's no excuse for tua in terms of like how he's been playing like people are comparing him to russell wilson okay but also tua and josh allen have the same number of touchdowns this season or of all time this season so Josh Allen has 1 ,397 yards 11 touchdowns 4 interceptions and again Tua's was 12-12 yards 11 touchdowns 10 interceptions so when you look at it like that Mike McDaniel I think that you need to do have some self-awareness training because Tua's not playing well for a fact but if you look at the numbers alone So let's compare Tua to other quarterbacks.

35:39And this is interesting because we can talk about passing yards and touchdowns and interceptions. So actually, the top passing yards goes to Justin Herbert. The Chargers are playing well, but I didn't really see that coming. Yeah. Yeah. honestly, this list is crazy. Okay. I'm going to read you the top 10. So Justin Herbert, number two, Dak Prescott, three, Matt Stafford, Patrick Mahomes, Daniel Jones, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Drake May, Jared Goff, Trevor Lawrence,

36:20which that's surprising to me. i think it's all about game scripts though and like the see i love looking at stats at the same time like numbers like you can't only consider yeah numbers aren't like they tell lies too let's go based off of touchdowns so top 10 touchdowns i'll read you the person and then the number of touchdowns. Matt Stafford, 17. Dak Prescott, 16. Jared Goff, 15. Aaron Rodgers, 14. Patrick Mahomes, 14. Mayfield and Herbert both have 13. Sam Darnold and Drake May, 12. Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Tua, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young all have 11. so that's interesting yeah i'm like two still has 11 touchdowns like he's not he's not like cam word which okay cam word's a bad option because he's a rookie but michael pennix jr for the falcons he has five touchdowns this season but you don't see his head coach out here talking about oh yeah yeah okay also since we're on this i kind of want to do interceptions.

37:36Gino Smith from the Raiders, 10 interceptions. Tua Tagovolia. I can never say his last name. Tua Tagovolia from the Miami Dolphins we've been talking about, 10 interceptions. Jake Browning, Bengals, eight interceptions. Joe Flacco, Bengals, also Browns, but Bengals slash Brown, six interceptions. Justin Herbert, six interceptions. Aaron Rodgers, Trevor Lawrence, Bryce Young, and Cam Ward, all five interceptions. And there is no starting quarterback with zero interceptions. But Jaden Daniels, although not playing as well as he did last year, only one. yeah and he got and jalen hurts king president one interception drake may two jordan love two patrick holmes two baker mayfield two

38:41i was talking to a new friend today and we were talking about the podcast and i mentioned that we had a sponsor and she said, who's your sponsor? And I said, it's Kuso Cuts. It's this great seasoning company. And she said, oh my gosh, Kuso's? Wait, I know them. I love them. And I was like, right? That's crazy that you use them. You should use the code, the game at checkout for 10 % off. But we were just talking about how bold the flavors are. She was saying how easy it is to use because all of their blends are so well made. So it's just so easy to throw on to literally anything that you're cooking.

39:17It's perfect for tailgate season because you don't have to carry a lot to pack a big punch. So if you want to check out Kuso's for yourself, it's all natural ingredients. It's super clean. It is so delicious. The flavors are bold and the company is fantastic. You will not regret it. Use the game at checkout at kusocuts.com. Thank you Kuso's for supporting us. We love you.

39:45interesting i think this is one of those things where like you this is what people don't understand when you evaluate quarterbacks at this level then you actually understand because it's not just about yes anyone can go out and say oh dac is the best quarterback because he has the second most passing yards in the league well pause let's look at this team objectively same thing with baker mayfield like his stats aren't in the top three in a lot of these categories but he's still playing decent football for the team that he's on you know so it's like that's kind of a whole thing can i say one thing that i'm really annoyed about what I hate power rankings and like companies slash sports media ranking teams every week and then men freaking out about it.

40:39I'm like, everyone relax saying this is the number one team for the rest of the season. And then everyone goes into this like frenzy every single week. I'm like, I don't care who John Smith says is number one. because it changes every week the rankings this year have been chaotic like if you put it on a board it's gonna look like a board that at the da's office trying to figure out a crime with all the movements like culture number 32 culture number one you know it's like everyone relax okay the colts are number one right now and they are the only whatever six and two team but it is so chaotic.

41:20Like Rams are number 14. Rams are number two. Like lions are number 10. No, they're not. Okay. Like we all know that I got mad about that in the beginning of the season, but I'm like, I'm not having fun anymore with these. Like I need to unsubscribe from these specific posts because I don't care. It's like one of those things, like it gives people something to talk about when you think about it, you know, you know, like there's not enough to talk about. Oh yeah. Trust me. There's plenty to talk about, especially when you have the jets benching Justin Fields. So breaking news, as of technically yesterday from when we're recording this, but the Jets have decided, or I won't say decided, they are expected to, the verbiage is really important when you look at these tweets and stuff.

42:07They are expected to move on from Justin Fields and start Tyrod Taylor. Taylor's already started a couple games for the Jets. and similarly to Mike in Miami Jets owner I forgot his name was in the media basically trash talking Justin now has Justin been playing some trash football yes however do we not see the problem with these old men that are getting paid millions of money. I won't say old, but you're not even on the field. Like you're not physically out there. You're calling the shots. I personally have a problem with people that don't take accountability and that put blame on one person. You could have made this move in silent and everybody would have been fine with it.

43:04But it's the fact that your owner it was the owner or the general manager came out and talking all the smack about justin fields to the press it's not a good look it's just it's it's unclassy and i i don't like it

43:21yeah yeah i agree it's like stop running your mouth unless you're carly and you're on the field i don't want to hear you saying talking shade and these are also men though that when their wife makes them upset, they talk about it in public. You know, like deal with your shit in your organization. Stand up like the amount that. If you look at like the way that Mike McDaniel talked about Tua and then you look at the way that Dan Campbell talked about Brian Branch. that in terms of culture says so much about what you need to know and same thing at the Jets if your owner is trash talking your players that you just paid 40 million dollars for if you're trash talking in the media what does that say about you and also it makes you just not shocked that the organization has been a mess for so long mind you they traded for Justin Fields Justin Fields was not on the Jets before this season.

44:29Right. So it was your decision to go get this man. And now it doesn't work out. He literally bait and switched in. It's like my last situation, Chip. Bait and switch, baby. Like, horrible.

44:48So Justin Fields, if you're watching this, Victoria knows exactly what you're going through. Yeah, we're actually going through the same thing except you have way more money than me so i feel less bad for you you brought up carly did you see her outfit on the sideline this week no girl she was okay she had the christian dior visor on christian dior like so like i think it was like a sweater or some she was dripped out in dior and i'm like you just keep getting more and more iconic. Wait, this is... I... You guys know I love Carly. Do you not like the fit? I don't like it. The visor is a little bit...

45:41If she would have worn this visor with anything else.

45:53like it's like the i don't really have that bit of a i feel like it's like one of the other iconic the vest the like zip up oh actually okay okay i might be changing my mind i just got my first good picture of it wait i have to take it back oh my gosh okay i kind of like it i gotta it was a little blurry and i was like i don't know about this she i love there's like a video of her hugging players on the sideline it's cute says carly was on the indianapolis sideline hyping up the players while they were dominating la i love her but yeah i had to mention that because i saw that i was like i know victoria would have something to say.

46:45I love her. I love her. I love that she's getting more fearless. I love that she's making a freaking fashion statement. I love that she's trying new things. There is nothing like hotter or cooler to me than people who are willing to try new things and actually try new things. Like this outfit is like a step out of her comfort zone from what we've seen her in previously. It was out there. You know, like, yeah. Like, I love that she's rising to the occasion. She said, you know what? I know that my players love drip. How do I relate to them? Well, it is kind of a flex when you're an owner and you're on the field and you're just stripped out and Christian Dior, like full designer.

47:33Like that's, that's a flex. Life goals. Wayne. I'm obsessed with her. I really can't even handle it. So let's, let's do a quick recap of everything that happened and then we can give our feelings. So at the fourth quarter, it is 19 to zero. And if you don't know about Jackson Dart and Cam Scadaboo, they are the rookies who are literally sweeping the nation on the Giants. They both kind of came out of nowhere week five and six. And now week seven, they're just animals. Cam Scadaboo is crazy in the media, like such a character. There's yeah, they're so fun to watch. Like Jackson Dart is like, you know, a young hottie in the NFL.

48:25he brought the Giants their first two wins. So this is a huge deal. People are kind of expecting the same thing out of them. So they are dominating the first three quarters of the game, but we all know it's not how you enter the party. It's how you leave the party that everyone will know about if you leave in a really good or really bad fashion. So the Broncos score a touchdown to go from their first or zero points to their first points. It is deflected passes thrown by bone X deflected. And then a Bronco still catches it. Touchdown Broncos. Crazy score is 19 to eight. They score two point conversion.

49:11Then the Giants score again. The Giants had so many good plays, but we can't even care about them because the fourth quarter for the Broncos was so crazy. Then the score is 26 to eight with six minutes, 38 seconds to go. The Broncos score on their last five drives, their percentage to win was less than 1%. Bo Nix runs it for a touchdown. RJ Harvey, two yard catch after Justin Stranod's interception. Also to take the ball away from the Giants who, The Giants didn't have no power. Like they did score and they got intercepted in that fourth quarter, which is a pivotal interception. This is also crazy because the Giants went to score a field goal and Jude McAdemy missed his second extra point.

50:11So Broncos score on all five drives. Bo Nix scores two of the touchdowns on his own two feet. jude mcademy misses the extra point so the score is 32 to 0 the broncos get the ball they have no timeouts yet they spike the ball with two seconds two seconds like i know usually they do like four seconds, but two seconds on the field. It's not coming from a coach is insane. And then they score a field goal. 33, 32 Broncos. What the heck, man? 33 points in the fourth quarter. Okay. And Giovanna, I know that you like to say that like you kind of think sometimes the NFL is scripted. So the Broncos were honoring the Super Bowl 50 team, which had on it Demarius Thomas, who died in 2021 at 33 years old.

51:28and the Broncos score 33 points in the fourth quarter to win it on the day that they are recognizing Super Bowl 50 team and honoring Demarius Thomas. Oof. T. Here's my problem. I will stand by this, and I don't care if people disagree with me. You're a kicker missing not one, but two extra points and my boyfriend and I get in arguments all the time because he's always like well like if the team played better they wouldn't be that position in the first place I'm sorry yes but when the game is on the line and you win by or you lose by one point and then you're looking back at the plays and your kicker missed two extra points that doesn't like let's grabbing him by his helmet and his pads shaking him then you have the broncos kicker slap him in his face and be like oh let me go on the field and kick this game-winning field goal and show you how to win a game that's embarrassing because the game-winning field goal was also one yard shorter than the one missed by mccademy that's embarrassing and again Again, not one, but two missed.

52:54Two! Like, you maybe would have slid away if, like, you missed one and, like, you also lost by one. I can kind of get behind that. But the fact that they missed two. And then, let alone the New York Times and some other New York magazines were all over the Giants and Jackson Dark with headlines as similarly to this. Listen to this. This headline literally says two mile fall Giants blow 19 point lead than the game. And Denver nightmare. Like, first of all, and they have a picture of Jackson Dart. Like it's his fault. Yeah, I feel like Jackson Dart did literally every like Jackson Dart could not have played a different or a better game because in the fourth quarter, like when you see a fourth quarter shutout, like there have been other games.

53:47where teams have come up 10, 15, 20 points in the fourth quarter and they go unanswered. Jackson Dart scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter. He did throw an interception, so that one's on him. But I think it was the kicker's fault because if he had scored two field goals, if he had made both of his extra points, the Broncos would have had to score another touchdown. It would have had to be six scores instead of five scores. That game is completely different. It's literally completely different. Completely different. That's my issue. Yeah. Yeah, he blew it for sure. He did get released yesterday.

54:31So he missed a field goal against the Eagles last week at home and then missed two field goals in the game yesterday. So they have a young hook who is on the practice squad for the Giants. So I'm interested to see if he ends up making it onto the field. McAdemy. Yeah, McAdemy. I was thinking the whole time I was like, missed field goal McAdemy. McAdemy sounds like Academy to me. Yeah, yeah. That's why I thought it was like so funny. I feel like this guy's getting ripped to shreds right now. Sorry. Like, I'm sorry. Like, I don't, I feel bad because it's like one of these things where it kind of goes against my logic of like viewing players as like humans too.

55:21But I'm sorry, when you're getting paid that much money to do a job and you missed a field goal in the week prior. You can't miss extra points. Like, come on. You can miss, if it's over 40 yards, if it's over 45 yards, you can miss. under 45 yards, get it through the uprights, literally one job. And people are like, oh, well, it's really mental. Like it's your one job to get it together. I mean, this is sad. I feel like there's so much pressure on these guys, but there's so much pressure on every guy. But yeah, he got released. So he is from Northern Ireland and joined the Giants through the league's international pathway program, which I don't have any more information on, but I didn't even know that was a thing.

56:07Yeah, I'm pretty sure the NFL is, I think each team is required to have like a non-American player on their team. Yeah, just like I was saying a couple weeks ago, the NFL renaissance. Yep, yep. But shout out to the Broncos. Y 'all made history. 33 points in the fourth quarter. Like Victoria said, most by a team that was shut out through three quarters making NFL history. So that was interesting. There's a little stat for you. Yeah. Have you seen the Russell Wilson drama? Leave the man alone. I have. Like, honestly. OK, explain it and then I'll get my thoughts. OK, you were both talking about the tweet, right?

56:51OK, OK. I just wanted to make sure. OK, so Russell Wilson, after the Broncos win 33 to 32.

57:01Payton made a remark suggesting that he'd rather faced Wilson. than the rookie quarterback. So if you didn't know, Russell Wilson was the quarterback for the Giants, had like a great game in his career, gets benched. Jackson Dart comes in. Jackson Dart starts winning games. Okay, so Payton, Sean Payton, the Broncos coach, says that he'd rather play Russell Wilson than play Jackson Dart. Okay. So then Russell Wilson tweets, and I quote, classless, but not surprised. Didn't realize you're still bounty hunting 15 years later through the media. Sunglasses, emoji, crying, laughing emoji, hashtag let's ride.

57:54And the bounty hunting line references bounty gate that involves Sean Payton when he was on the Saints, which was a scandal where players were allegedly paid for injuring opponents. So I wanted to give some background and then we'll like just yap about it. But I got a timeline of Payton and Russell's relationship. So 2022. Yeah, we got the receipts. 2022, Wilson was traded from the Seahawks to the Denver Broncos, along with picks. Then 2023, Sean Payton is hired as the coach of the Broncos. Wilson starts 15 games with the Broncos with Sean Payton as head coach. 7-8 record under Payton, throws 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

58:48In 2023, the Broncos bench Russell Wilson at the end of the season under Sean Payton, and apparently they needed a spark and financial flexibility. Then March 2024, Denver releases Russell Wilson, taking an$85 million dead cap hit. so then Russell leaves Denver then Wilson signs a one-year deal with the Giants in March of 2025 worth up to 21 million and then Payton says that about Russell Wilson which I mean these men in the media this is the day of the men in the media because it was tacky it was tacky of Sean Payton like Russell's having a bad season and then you're gonna say that that's so like, I don't know what beef you guys have.

59:39Like, obviously they are not meant to be together. Obviously they do not like each other. Well, it's interesting to me, like it, the way that Sean Payton was in the press conference and was like, I would have rather my team play Russell Wilson. Well, yeah, duh. You, you coach Russell Wilson. So if you played Russell Wilson, Russell Wilson led giants, you're going to know exactly what they're going to do. Cause you've played Russell Wilson. Like anybody would want to do that. But do you think we're dumb? Like, do you think the Giants are dumb especially now that Jackson has taken over for the last two weeks and verbatim in that press conference he said we were hoping that change would come weeks after our game meaning the quarterback change of benching Russell and playing Jackson would come weeks after this Broncos Giants game which I'm that a it's kind of selfish dude like play good football do you not trust your team to go out and win a game against the giants and jackson dart and big blue 44 well also the thing is is that sean payton won your team won like go to therapy and also like russell get a therapist russell wilson doesn't do this like Russell Wilson is a very like it's funny because I'm thinking about have you seen the commercial stay calm Barkley have you seen that commercial no that's it's basically this commercial of Saquon Barkley and like it's stay calm and he's like zen and like just in his mode but Russell Wilson's like stay calm Russell Wilson like he doesn't really clap back he's not really in the media like that so for him to like go on and tweet about this it's also kind of a big deal because it kind of shook a nerve.

1:01:26But I also, poor guy, Russell Wilson has been in the dumps, like through it recently. And I like Russell Wilson as a person at least. I don't know like that much about Russell Wilson, to be honest. But I did see multiple media outlets saying like, this is atypical for him. Like he's not somebody who's lighten up Twitter. I think that had the Broncos lost, this comment wouldn't have been a big deal. You know, like Russell didn't play well this season. I think that it wouldn't have been as dramatic. But I think because the Broncos won, why did you? Like, I wonder what the do you know what the question posed to Sean was?

1:02:11I don't know, but I was just watching the video earlier. I think I think it would have held the same weight, though. because he was essentially calling out Russell and he had no business in doing that. Like at all.

1:02:33Yeah, just don't even mention him. Don't mention him. He's not on the field. Honestly, if they would have won, it probably would have been an even more deal because he was essentially complaining that Jackson Dart was playing well.

1:02:52that's so crazy

1:02:57calls him classless saying that someone like if you call me classless I would never recover that is like the that is like the meanest thing that you could like if you want to hurt me say I'm classless my Sean Payton and I will be down and out yeah it's that's like a a gut puncher and Sean Payton's been in the league for a minute. He's been around for a long time. So, but hey, like. Also like bringing up the bounty is so crazy. No, as you should, because that's crazy. You want to talk about the flake gate, like that scandal is insane. But let's be honest, Russell Wilson, low key kind of changed the Broncos franchise when he was there.

1:03:40Like whenever I think about Russell Wilson and the Broncos, all I think about is Broncos nation. Let's ride. Have you seen that? that's like my favorite thing ever Russell is so iconic for that yeah didn't he say that right when he got in something like that then it became like this he was like it was when he was new though yeah but then it became like this whole like shtick well okay I love I think it's so crazy because when Dan Campbell got into the Lions at his first press conference he said the bite off your kneecaps thing and that that That will go down in Lions history forever. And so I feel like same thing.

1:04:21Like Russell Wilson's new and he says, look, let's ride. Let's ride. That is just crazy. I mean, Russell Wilson, way to stand up for yourself. Definitely a low below, but Sean, keep Russell's name out your mouth. Keep my name out. Keep my name out. Okay. Crazy. speaking of classless and tacky the chargers uniforms the banana boys why did i immediately knew that well that's what we're gonna talk about bro do you know what the savannah bananas are have you heard of the savannah bananas i actually went to a savannah bananas game a couple weeks ago. No way. Okay. So the way people were comparing them to the Savannah Bananas.

1:05:16No, they are. It's the same thing. If you don't know who the Savannah Bananas are, they're like a Harlem Globetrotters of baseball. So they like dance and sing. And when they so they played in San Diego and they brought out Heath Bell, who Heath Bell was the closing pitcher for the Padres, which is actually crazy that they got him on the field in that yellow uniform. But they like dance and sing and all the guys are like, you know, attractive and have abs. And they're like stripping on the field. And they put like two kids on surfboards and like ran them across. It was it's the Savannah Bananas are crazy, but the Chargers and the Savannah Bananas were twins.

1:05:59Yes, I think the one TikTok that got me was.

1:06:07This girl posted a video of like the Chargers running out of the locker room and they're these yellow uniforms. And it was like the minion sound over it. Yeah. That. No, literally. They are minions. Like you could be, you could be, you could buy that uniform and just put the little goggles on. You could be a minion for Halloween. Yeah. A Chargers minion. There you go. Wait. Okay. so I'm making a post on NFL teams as like what costume the NFL teams would need to wear. And my favorite one that I have so far is the Browns being Frankenstein because they're just trying to put a bunch of things together in the quarterback room.

1:06:55And the 49ers have to be, has to be like the Grim Reaper or something because they're just all dead. Yeah. Yeah. yeah and then the colts are like princess peach

1:07:10shout out carly or say yeah that's insane i actually want to shout out some of our girls in the chat because we asked to do oh my gosh we asked to do hot takes and we just talked about the colts and we've been talking about them but gabby in our chat said Colts are maybe the most complete team in the AFC. They haven't really had the ups and downs of the Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, etc. And continue to be solid week after week. I would agree with this hot take. The key word, and Gabby, you know some ball. Because the key word in this is complete team for me. Their offense is doing good. Their defense is doing good.

1:07:53As I was talking about the Cowboys earlier, it's very complimentary football. And so I think that's why they're doing so well. But also Jonathan Taylor is on a terror running back for the Colts. He is putting that team on his back. He had three rushing touchdowns, a hat trick in their last game against the Savannah Bananas, a.k.a. the Chargers. So the Colts win 38-24 against the Chargers. Their record now, 6-1, guys. six and one i also agree that they are the most complete team and every time i hear jonathan taylor i hear like elizabeth taylor but it's like jonathan taylor i was praying on jonathan taylor's downfall shout out to all the girls unless you have jonathan taylor on your fantasy team whenever you play a fantasy manager with jonathan taylor on their team you're just like you're you got to pray for the best and hope you're yeah yeah because he's he's at least scoring 30 points yeah the colts play the titans this week oh yeah the colts what do you think they're gonna i think they're gonna score like 41 holy moly or more i think they could go into the 50s honestly jonathan taylor just has got a high Yeah, he's just going to run up and down the field on the Titans, man.

1:09:15Or they might bench there some starters second half. Yeah, if the game's out of control. But we've seen some crazier things happen. The Titans might mess around and give us a good game. You know, who's to say? Honestly, if this could happen, this is the season it could happen. Facts. So another hot take we have is Giants will make it to the playoffs and do well, maybe even Super Bowl worthy. That's from Kaylee. I think they're playoff contenders. I think with Jackson Dart and Cam Scadaboo, the way that they played the majority of the game this weekend, I think they can go to the playoffs. I don't know if they could beat Jared, Josh, a Patrick Mahomes at the Super Bowl, a Jalen Hurts.

1:10:16But I can see them in the playoffs. I can see them in the playoffs. Next year, they get Malik Neighbors back. And then, yeah, I can see them doing good. I don't know, though. Like, something in my gut is telling me that it's, I don't know, something's going to happen to this Giants team. but they do need the momentum right now so i'm happy for you think something's gonna happen to them yeah i don't know like it just is like kind of one of those things that's like too good to be true right now and i don't want to be delulu and be like oh my god the giants are so good now because it's still got all to work on like yes you have momentum and you have some dogs in their team, but I'm not going to, I'm not all in yet.

1:11:07I love it because I think it's such a fun, like they will go down in such history if they can make a good playoff run or if they won the Superbowl, like Jackson Dart, backup quarterback, dethrones Russell Wilson, brings his friend along, Scadaboo and they take it all the way. That story is so good that like I'm rooting for them to go far. Obviously I'm rooting for the lions to win the super bowl, but dang what I like it. What happens when the giants beat the lions?

1:11:45Shut up.

1:11:50Yikes. I'm leaving this podcast. Bye everyone. Bye. Okay. Last hot take. Like I kind of want to mention Lindsay said, is Joe Flacco saving the Bengals season or was it just luck? I think Flacco saving the Bengals season. Agreed. Because Joe Burr might be back in December. If Joe Flacco can win games and the Bengals get Joe Burr back by December, just in time for playoff action, no harm, no foul. Business as usual. Yeah, it's like Joe Flacco just has to keep them in the game. And if he keeps them in the game, then he saves the season. He's the hero. Shout out to Joe. Which I love for him. Me too.

1:12:34He's like really doing dad's work, you know? Yeah. Oh, we do have to mention Unk Bowl. Aaron Rodgers versus Joe Flacco Thursday night from week seven. That's what everyone's calling it. They're calling it the Unk Bowl. I didn't know that. Yeah, everyone was literally touting it as the uncle, which is hilarious to me. But honestly, it made me proud to see Joe Flacco and go out there. And it was actually a good game. It was a really good game, actually. Yeah. The thing that... Yeah, I loved watching it. I was really excited. I was with a client and I was talking and I was like, I'm really interested for the game night.

1:13:15He's a Steelers fan. He's like, we're going to blow him out. And I was like, I don't know, man. I don't really think so. I don't think so. Yeah. And I was right. And you were right. Aaron Rodgers, there was a play in that game where I think he threw a touchdown at some point in the game. And the Steelers really needed the momentum or something happened. I think it was a touchdown pass. And one of his offensive linemen is chasing Aaron off the field in celebration and tackles Aaron. And Aaron's getting up and you can just see on his face, he's like, what the heck, man? And like, why'd you just knock me over?

1:13:51Like he was so upset about it. And like. Like he's like offended that he got tackled. Yes. But like his teammate was just hyped up because they're still in the game, you know. And you could just see it all over his face. Aaron Rodgers was not a happy camper in the first half of that game, though. Like you could just tell. Aaron Rodgers just like doesn't really seem that happy overall.

1:14:15There was. I don't know. Like he doesn't look like, like they mentioned in the game. Yeah. Like at the beginning of the second half, they said, I think that's the first smile we've seen from Rogers all day. Exactly. There was something that I believe he came out and said when asked like what he's going to do after he retired. And he was like, disappear. Yeah. Yeah. He's. I was like, okay. Insane. Yeah. The, the, what do they call it? The daddy bowl. the uncable yeah that's so funny okay sideline drama also referee nate jones shields jackson smith jigba from a fight yeah this was a hard to watch for me yeah and referee nate james was actually a player and he was like a top receiver back in his day but you said this is a problem for you no it was a hard watch for me because it was just like he was just so close to jason like he was like jason's face was like really close to like the junk of uh this rapper referee but honestly it was a good it was a good deed for nate james to do i loved it yeah i loved it and what i didn't love was the way that jackson responded to it in the press conference because Jackson was like, oh, I wasn't really worried.

1:15:48And I think that when, when men do nice things to be like emotionally in tune, we need to like positively affirm that behavior. And obviously like, if it was me standing up there, I would have been like, thank you. Like, I felt good, but I really appreciated you being there. So I didn't like that. It was like a little dismissive because I'm like that referee had your back and you might've gotten punched in the face. So say thank you or worse. Yeah. But Jackson Smith and Jigba is a top receiver right now. 819 yards. And the referee was Nate Jones, who was a player previously, which I just think it's so cute.

1:16:32And then, OK, a couple of highlights that I wanted to just bring up is pick six Browns against the Dolphins, pick six Cowboys against Commanders. So two pick sixes. I love a pick six. It's so dramatic. And then Gibbs is 78 yard rushing touchdown with one of the most iconic celebrations of the season. So far Gibbs just like breaks tackles. He sees, he sees the field in such a way that like, I don't know if I would ever be able to, he sees the field as like a quarterback sees the field. I feel like he has the eyes to scan everything in a way that most running backs don't like, I feel like running backs run routes and Gibbs runs the field.

1:17:18Yeah. I got to shout out the Lions O-line though, because a lot of, I won't say the majority of their success, but when you have a good O-line, your running back is going to be able to make those 78-yard touchdown plays because they're making holes and stuff like that. Right. There's a clip of Penny Sewell and he was moving. like they put him next to Gibbs and Gibbs can run 22 miles an hour that I heard that and I was like it immediately made me think of like you know have you seen the videos of people like trying to run past like the speed signs and like see how far they're running or how fast they're going and maybe think about that I'm like man we need to put we need to put Gibbs up there and see what what the the sign clocks him at because 22 that's insane because a 10 minute mile is six miles an hour crazy so 22 for 78 yards yeah and then they had what it's like the marvel celebration yeah gibbs was spider-man and oh spider-man amon amon comes in and jumps over him like superman yeah it's iconic so iconic very much really is he really gets in with those celebrations he loves it i'd like if you haven't listened to brooklyn and our our discussion with her please go listen to it it's amazing but i am kicking myself because i wanted to ask her a mon celebration i think this was last year whatever he's like standing up on top of his head like he's upside down yeah yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah.

1:18:58I wanted to ask her about that. He said in an interview, he saw a kid in college do it, I'm pretty sure, and he copied it. Yeah, and then there was some bakery, I think it's a commercial now, that made a cake. A bakery made a cake, and then there's also a corn maze. I'm like, wow. Crazy. That's iconic. Yeah. Okay, well, we've yapped for literally forever today. Thanks for listening. A pop lyric, a ping pong table, and a 33-point fourth quarter shouldn’t belong in the same story—but week seven made it make sense. We kick off with Taylor Swift’s “Redwood” line and the Kelsey brothers’ joke parade, then pivot into the meat of the league: what culture really means when your quarterback is struggling, your owner won’t stay quiet, and your kicker melts down at the worst possible time.

We unpack the Miami mess, where Mike McDaniel’s public nudge at Tua says more about leadership than box scores. Then it’s the Jets, expected to move from Justin Fields to Tyrod Taylor while front-office voices stoke headlines. Over in Baltimore, the Ravens removed locker room “toys”—ping pong, hoops, consoles—as if amenities were the issue, not cohesion or schematics. Contrast that with the Colts, who look like the most complete AFC team: Jonathan Taylor rumbling through the Chargers while the defense and offense sync in all the small ways that win Sundays.

The highlight reel belongs to Denver. Down big, the Broncos ripped off 33 in the fourth, capitalizing on a New York interception and two brutal missed extra points that flipped the script. We break down how the comeback unfolded drive by drive, why special teams discipline matters, and what this says about the Giants’ ceiling with Jackson Dart and Cam Scattaboo. And yes, we talk Russell Wilson vs Sean Payton—“classless” tweet and all—because words shape culture as much as play calls do.

There’s more: Chargers “banana” uniforms, Carly Irsay’s Dior sideline statement, a referee stepping in to shield a young star from a fight, and a few pick sixes that turned stadiums electric. If you care about football beyond the score—how teams actually hold together or fall apart—this one’s for you. Hit play, subscribe for the next breakdown, and drop a review with your boldest take from week seven. Who’s the most complete team right now?
