22I'm Victoria. I'm Giovanna. The game's on. Welcome back to another episode of your favorite football podcast by the girls for everyone, the game. We have a great episode for you today. We have an in and outs list that I'm very excited about that I've been curating all weekend. But before we get into our recap of week eight, seeing where everything falls, talking about trade rumors, talking about the men, let's do some housekeeping. So if you haven't seen my TikTok slash Instagram posts, we are hosting a tailgate in Buffalo with our sponsor, Kuso Cuts, on November 2nd for the Bills-Chiefs game at Highmark Stadium in the Hammer Lot from around 11 a.m.

10until game time. So if you are at that game, stop by, even if it's just for a minute, five minutes. The whole goal, as you guys know here, is to build community among women who love the NFL. And that doesn't mean that you can't bring your boyfriends, your dads, your family, your friends, but come hang out, come say hey, and meet some other girls who love the NFL. I'm so excited to be in Buffalo. Also, if you have Buffalo recommendations, send them my way. I've heard that it's cold. I will be in a parka. And if you see me in 19 layers, no, you didn't. Yeah, I was going to be cold down there. Like, that's brutal.

49Yeah. And Jojo, who is the engineer that built our Living in a Fantasy leaderboard, is going to be there as well. And we text all the time about, like, games, things in the NFL, whatever. And she texted me yesterday morning saying, it's getting cold. So I need to go shopping before I leave. That's not a bad thing at all. No, it's not a bad thing at all. So I'm very excited. You had to go shopping. And then this is going to be my last episode recording in my home studio because I'm traveling to as many games as I can before I come home. And I'm happy to announce we're going to be in Houston for the Buffalo Texans game on Thursday, November 20th for that 515 game.

34We're going to do a tailgate situation details to be announced. But if you're thinking about going to that game, just book it in and come hang out. We're going to be there with another couple of TikTok influencers that we will let you know about once we fully solidify plans. So, so exciting. So mark your calendars for those. For our fantasy winners this week, we have Pretty Good Team, who is by Miss Winning. So I guess her last name is Win in the league for the sourdough at all with 195.76 points. And then in our two flex league, we have, I think it's Hellie's No Manning. And that's in the league, Good Neighbors with 203.22 points.

21And then for our season leaders, because we are coming up on the halfway point of the season, in our one flex league, the season leader is the same girl, Miss Winning. Her team name, Pretty Good Team, for the sourdough of it all, is her league. And then in the two flex league, it's us, the game and the podcast in the league, brown eyed girl. All of the leaderboards go by total points. It doesn't matter wins versus losses. And if you've stopped playing, don't stop playing. Like you could still make a comeback. Okay. So if you've fallen off the bandwagon, hop back on. Like you have time to, to make a, make a shot, especially because so many good players and So many like top fantasy guys have gone out this season.

06So if you're on the fence of counting yourself out, just don't. Just stick with us. Okay. And if you need fantasy help, the girls are here for you. Drop your questions, drop your whatever you need help with in our chat and we'll help you. We got you. Yeah. Giovanna will answer all your fantasy questions and I'll cheer you on. Yeah, pretty much. Speaking of injuries, you wanted to intro the episode with the group, most gruesome Halloween spookiest, which I think it's crazy to enter the episode this way, but Cam Scadaboo yeeted his ankle off of his body. Yeah, I wanted to talk about and get it over with because I want to tell you I shed a tear.

45I shed a tear for this man. Like a real tear? Yeah, a real tear. Let me just read off his stats so far. Okay, Cam Scadaboo, he's a running back for the Giants. He was the 105th pick in a 2025 NFL draft. since he's been in the NFL. He has rushed for 410 yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries. He's caught 24 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns. Now, the first couple of weeks for the Giants football was not featuring Cam. Cam's really had like a ramp up in like the recent weeks, especially with Jackson Dar at quarterback. So to have the stat line and what I'm kind of counting really in like four or five games is amazing and just speaks to how much of a dog he is.

33Then, guys, before the ending of the second quarter, Cam Scadaboo goes down the field, tries to catch a pass from Jackson Dart, and he, I don't know if y 'all saw it, but he literally bent backwards and his foot was caught underneath himself. So he dislocated his ankle. He is in good spirits, though. He released a statement, said surgery went well. He had surgery in Philadelphia. He actually shouted out a bunch of the Philly fans and the Philly community for just supporting him and being there for them. Big Dom, who's like the security guard on the Philadelphia Eagles, actually visited him in the hospital, which I think was really nice and special.

15Mind you, this was the second time the Giants played the Eagles this season. This is the second time. So this game, walking into it was highly anticipated. Obviously, Giants pulled off the upset in the first game against the Eagles. So it was just really sad because Cam Scadaboo is like, oh, you just got to love the guy. I've talked about it too much, so I won't say anything else. But love Cam Scadaboo. Teammates were visibly upset. Jackson Dart was saying a few choice words on the sideline after Cam Scadaboo got hurt and caught it off the field. So a detriment to what seems kind of like a pileup of injuries for this Giants team.

52So we'll see what happens for Brian Dayvall, head coach of the Giants, and Jackson Dart, quarterback for the Giants going forward without first Malik neighbors. It's funny because Malik neighbors actually got hurt in week four. Week four is when Malik neighbors went down week eight. Now is when Cam's got up goes down. So RIP next season, guys. If you've been living under a rock also, Cam Scadaboo and Jackson Dart are like the rookie dream team that we're setting up for like the biggest Cinderella story, rising the Giants from the ashes of a terrible record, getting them their first two wins and then going back to play the Eagles because it was wild that they beat the Eagles the first time.

39Nobody was expecting that. They pull off a win against the Eagles. Jackson and Cam are so charismatic and exciting and young and fired up. Yep. and cam unfortunately goes down what is funny though is when jackson dart either last week or the week before went into the injury tent for concussion protocol cam tried to go into the tent and so cam ended up getting fined for trying to go into the tent to see jackson and i'm pretty sure that the coach who tried to go in also got fined. There was like two fines against the Giants by the NFL for them trying to go in during concussion protocol. But I think that just shows like Cam trying to go in when Jackson was hurt and Jackson trying to like, Jackson being so upset when Cam got injured is like the cutest bromance.

36And I think that we're really gonna see what Jackson is made of without his number one guy. Because I think when you're young and you have someone else who's in your position, but is equally like really good and gritty and you can kind of like be in it together. That's one thing. But then to lose that, to like have it and then lose it is pretty rough. Like, is this a, and it's better to have loved and lost or not? You know what? I'm going to say yes. Like, I think that it gave Jackson a ton of confidence that maybe he wouldn't have had otherwise. I agree. And I don't think it's over for the Giants yet.

16I feel like it's one of those things where you have like, and I talked about this before, but because they're both rookies and they're entering this world together at once, I feel like that's why this duo was so impactful. But back up running back to the Giants right now, you have Tyrone Tracy, who's been kind of splitting the backfield with Cam Scadaboo a little bit. So he will probably see volume increase from a fantasy perspective. Tyrone Tracy's in your waivers. He might be worth looking at. I don't know about picking up quite yet, but he might be worth looking at. The Giants also still have Devin Singletary on their team as well.

53So it's going to be interesting to see what the running back situation will look like with Cam Scadaboo out. To your point, Victoria, it was really sweet to see their bromance when Cam Scadaboo was getting carted off the field. Jackson, Dart, and Cam had like a, they do like this headbutt because I don't know why they're like running their heads through walls. That's like what Cam Scadaboo is known for. but they did their like traditional head, but going off the field. And it was at least a positive sign to see. I mean, we've seen some crazy things happen while guys are getting card off the field.

24And we've talked about Tyreek Hill and all that kind of stuff and some previous episodes, but yeah, prayers and thoughts go out to Kim Scadaboo and hoping for a great, nice, speedy recovery for him. Yes. If you didn't know, he will be out for the entire season, but should be able to make it back for next season. Last thing on this, so I saw the craziest thing on Instagram. It was like maybe a 10-year-old kid saying, running into something new every single day until Cam Scadaboo comments. And he like yeets himself into like a pole. Oh my gosh. Where are your parents? This is the Cam Scadaboo effect, guys.

05this is how Kim Skadaboo is influencing our youth. No, that's like, why can't we make it about like male friendship? Like why do we have to let our kid put on pads and run into a pole? I love it. I love my kid do it. I like had to like close my eyes. I was like, this is actually insane. Oh my gosh. That's great. Shout out to Skadaboo, man. Yeah. Big blue 44. Yeah. I'm looking forward to him coming back. and the Eagles gave him a standing ovation going out. Yeah. And I can imagine the Giants will receive him back in a similar way that the Lions received Aiden Hutchinson back and the way that the entire league was excited to see Aiden Hutchinson back on the field just because when you're that uniquely good of a player at what you do, everyone wants to see you back because it's like for the love of the game.

01Exactly. Now imagine this Giants team with Jackson Dart quarterback, Malik Neighbors, at wide receiver, and Cam Scatterboom in the backfield. Yeah. Next season. And Jackson Dart in his second season, if he can get even like a winning record if it's nine and eight. Yeah. Like it's still going to be, he has experience behind him and he's going to be a dog, man. He has a chip on his shoulder. He's going to go, he has big things in store for him. I'm telling you right now. Yeah. Okay. So I made my in and out list and I want to go through it. and I want you to tell me what you think of each one. Okay.

35Okay.

39I'll do one in and one out, even though I do have a couple more ins. So in, Chargers, throwback uniforms. Were those uniforms that were this past week? Yeah. Yeah, this week. This is all this week. Okay. Okay, you don't care about them. That's fine. I love them. They were bad. They were bad. No, pause, pause. We need to talk about this. the Chargers look like Charlie Brown on the field. What? Are these the one with like the khaki, the khaki pants and then the white or the yellow, the yellow, it was the yellow jersey and like the black marks in between. Are these the uniforms we're talking about?

16No, no, no. You're thinking, no, no, no. They're blue. Oh, okay, okay, okay. Okay, yeah, so they're like. I don't know what team that was, but we got to talk about it. we gotta talk about it i don't know which team that was but it they had some like throwback uniforms are on jojo text me and said it was like 50 shades of blue with the chargers uniforms like what is going on over there in the uniform department but this weekend's i really liked it was the steelers yeah that's who it was the steelers i don't know what kind of throwback they were throwing back but they need to throw it out because those uniforms were not it so my on on the uniform note on my outside is all banana uniforms because there have now been two losses in the banana uniforms, two losses in the minion, bumblebee, banana candy, whatever you want to call it.

15The yellow is not doing it. Let's get rid of it. Let's retire it. Everyone lost in the last two weeks. First, the Chargers week seven, then the Steelers week eight. So let's just leave those in the past and forget about that. Please, please. Yeah. In Saquon.

40Per usual, we want to thank our sponsor at Cuso Cuts, the best seasonings. They make your food so good, so easy. Flavors are bold. I recently was on a call with their team and they were saying to use one of the habanero lime seasonings as a margarita rim. And the amount that I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to using it on the rim, I never would have thought of that. And so I'll be making margaritas for game day because this is going to be one of my last game days at home, probably for a lot of the season. I'll be like elsewhere at games at other people's houses. So now that I'm at my house, I got to make it.

22If you want to try out Kuso Cuts, they are the best seasonings for grilling season. All natural ingredients. You can use code the game at checkout for 10 % off. Thank you Kuso's for sponsoring us.

38Need I say more? I was about to say just period after that. Like I watched the first, what, three minutes of that game? yeah three minutes of the eagles giants game and touchdown touchdown just it was so effortless giovanna i meant to do this in my housekeeping i think i can officially consider myself a true gut lions fan now okay because i woke up at 3 30 in the morning with a nightmare about the lions losing. She's dreaming now. Oh my gosh. Now you've crossed over into the dark side. Welcome. Cause you will never ever be normal again. Like I thought I was in it, but not until I was awake at three 30 AM.

28And I don't think that I realized that that's why I woke up until I was like driving this morning. And I was like, remembering the dream. And I'm That's why I woke up. And the dream was that the Lions decided to, I don't know how this happened. This is all very obviously a dream, but the Lions do a tush push or someone's, somebody's tush pushing against the Lions. Okay. And the Lions, all of them are in one spot. There's nobody to the left or right. There's nobody like on the sides at all. And it's a fake tush push of the other team ends up just being a handoff to a running back and the running back just takes it all the way and the Lions are just in a pile by themselves.

09Victoria, you might be onto something. That's a great play call. Wait, you're right. A fake tush push, quarterbacks under center, lines up, throws to the running back, running backs wide open, touchdown. That's a great play call. Because everyone's, you know what? You're right. Wait, am I cooking up plays? Yeah, you are. So now -

35we need to go back because unfortunately i have some comments about the tush push okay i would traditionally say that the tush push is what it is and like i wouldn't have any problems with it however now it has gotten to a point where it's straight up cheating in my opinion oh my god i know i know i'm not cheating you cannot run the same play four freaking times in a row but you can and why has nobody thought about my fake play yet and then when you watch the replays and you clearly see the offensive guard or the center starting early. It's a false start every time. I, I, I think the Eagles, I mean, obviously, because everyone associates the Tush Push with the Eagles, the Eagles last season.

29Okay. Got away with it. Cool. But now, unfortunately, in my humble opinion, I think we, the NFL has to look at the Tush Push and has to regulate it. Cause it's, it's, there's no way you run the same play four times in a row. And then you go back and after you're on social media and you're on Twitter and you're looking at these replays and you clearly have people lining up offline. And that's, that's coming from a person that does, doesn't rep the cheap, the lap, sorry, Jesus doesn't rep the Eagles. Like I don't have no loyalty to the Eagles. So, or the team that they play that, that is my opinion.

08I'm sorry. It's gotten to a point where I mean, have an opinion for sure. I don't think it's cheating. I think cheating is a stretch, But it's crazy. But also, like, we're not saying LeBron having LeBron is is cheating because he's been the MVP more times than any person really needs to be. No, that's like like it's it's it's not an individual at this point. It's it's becoming a thing where, OK, cheating, I agree, might be a stretch. I think it just needs to be regulated. I think that's the, that's what I'm getting at. I think it needs to be regulated in terms of how officials are officiating it.

50And like, I'm not blaming the refs either because the refs don't know what the freak to do. Cause they're like, well, this play has been popular for all of two years. So I don't really know how to call this, but I just, it just needs to be regulated a little bit more and there needs to be more effective play calling and calls on it in general. Yeah. I think that's, I think that's fair. I think if you have a play that works, use it. And if you're not using it, that's stupid. But use it fairly. Yeah. It would be different. Like they, cause since they ran it four times, it'd be different if they ran it four times and nobody jumped offsides.

29Fair. Like offsides is offsides. So anyway, I digress. We can move on. That's funny. No, I love it. I love it. And I love that you feel so strongly about it, honestly. I don't actually feel that strongly about it, but I love the car. I'm glad you brought it up because it's funny. And I think a lot of people are fired up about it. Okay. My next thing of my in is another Chargers thing. Justin Herbert at the basketball game with Madison Beer blocking the ball from hitting Madison Beer. Did you see that? I did see this. I actually saw them on like celebrity row, if you will, like sitting courtside.

08And I thought it was cute. I'm a fan of Justin Herbert and Madison Beer. They're cute. Madison Beer is batty. I hope it works out. I think it's honestly making Justin Herbert play better than being honest, because he's playing pretty well right now for this Chargers defense or offense, rather. Yeah, I agree. Yeah, I think he's killing it. And I just think like there's moments where you see athletes and like NFL players specifically doing really athletic things. And it makes you remember that they are not us. humbles you a little bit his face like so calm hand out like that is so like sexy to just be like yeah my my quick twitch response no worries got you babe yeah it pays having an nfl quarterback as your boyfriend at a basketball game like that response time i need it it was now we need to study his response time out of the pocket and see how quickly he throws the ball.

15Wait. Can someone do that? I actually might look let up. No, there's stats that say, on average, how long it takes for quarterbacks to throw the ball. And I'm curious on what Justin Herbert's average time is. Yeah, I feel like I when I was surprised, it's not because the stat exists. It's because can we do the stats side-by-side of the basketball game to his actual stat. According to NextGenStats and SummerSports, Justin Herbert's average time to throw has been between 2.55 and 2.91 seconds in recent seasons. That's pretty good. 2025, as of late October, which is what we're in now, 2.75 seconds, this places him around the middle of the pack with starting quarterbacks.

07Interesting. So not bad. Not bad. Now we just got to put that with what you said. Right. I mean, this response time had to be faster than that. Like 2.5 seconds and Madison's face is getting knocked. Slow. Yeah. Yeah. So all to prove that he could go faster if he wanted, I guess. Yeah. If he wanted to, he would. If he wanted to, he would. Common theme, ladies. Common theme. Don't ever forget it. But I also saw some photos of they together were at a Halloween party and then they were also together at the Dodgers Blue Jays World Series game either last night or one of the other nights. Did you watch that?

55I did not watch it, but I know it went into like crazy innings. Yeah, like that game was. I'm sorry. I can't watch baseball on a TV. I can watch it in person all day. I'm not going to knock the sport of baseball. I just, it's like one of those sports I can't watch on TV. I'm sorry. I have to be in person. You're like, this is an NFL podcast. Don't bring baseball in. Yeah, low key. But no, we love baseball. You're like, I don't care about any other sports. We love baseball. Don't get us wrong. I actually love baseball. I feel like I tell everyone every week. I'm like, I'm from San Diego. Like, I'm so annoying.

30But I am. I am like a diehard Padres fan. Wait, where are you from? Yeah, I live by the beach. Okay, I am like a diehard Padres fan. And if you're a Padres fan, then you hate the Dodgers. I won't get into that. However, on my out list, because of this game, because of the World Series game last night, on my out list is ties in the NFL. Because I, it is so chaotic. 19 innings, like get it together. get it together and they did walk a tani and if you don't know who a tani is he's like god probably one of the best if you don't know who shohei a tani tani is you don't know sports you might be living under a sporting rock but also hey you know what like maybe you're a one sport girl and that's fine that's that's fine anyway he's one of the best baseball players of all time we don't really need to get into it but he is like known for hitting a homer Like he hit three homers in the playoffs in one game.

38So the Dodgers walked him four at-bats in a row, which also tells you how long the freaking game went. But 19 innings and then Freddie Friedman hits a home run in the bottom of the 19th inning. But the reason why now this is on my outlist is I don't want any more ties in football because I want to see it play out. I want to be like checking in the entire time. I want to see what happens. I want you to be tired. I want to be 2 a.m. I want everyone to be over it. And I want to see who can keep it together. And that's what I want to see. Like, I want to see the true like depth. Like we talk about like depth chart.

17Okay, put in every player on your team and see who wins. Yeah, put in the third string quarterback and all your practice squad players on the field. And let's see who really is about that life. Yeah, like, if your team is so good, show us your entire quarterback room. Down to the guy that you signed for like$12 an hour. I want to see him. Okay, so according to this, in the regular season baseball game, there also are no ties. According to what I just looked up. Which speaks to, because we were talking about, I mean, mostly I was talking about the Cowboys when they tied their game with the Packers most recently.

59And like now it's an ick of mine, not only if you tie, but if you lose by one point. So in the NFL and regular season, if you tie, it's still a tie. But in postseason and like playoffs and Super Bowl, you do play for the actual W. You're not going to it's never going to be settled in a tie. So that's what I was interested to see if baseball and regular season games, if they settle for ties or if they still keep playing. And based on what this tells me, it says in a regular season baseball game, there are no ties, which I respect. One other interesting thing about that is in regular season, if you're in extra innings, they put a base runner on second every inning.

43And they did not do that last night. So they're not starting the inner inning with a player on second. So that could be also part of the reason for the length of the game. Interesting. what if in the nfl they were like okay over time let's give you three more guys on each side that would be insane or like take take away take away a couple of the secondary players like if you're on defense i think i think it means victoria we might have to work for the nfl front office because we might be on to something there has to be there has to be a decision by the nfl because I don't think any regular season game should end in a tie.

25No game ever should end in a tie. Ever. No, no. Because what if, like, let's say, let's say the Cowboys are playing the Packers and it's like week 10. And like this game is determining what playoff seed you get. And the game ends in a tie. How does that help your record? So there has to be some sort of something in place, you know? Yeah. Yeah. We might be on to something. We might be on to something. Okay, moving on. On my in list is the Eagles standing ovation for Cam Scadaboo. I just loved that it was just a show of the NFL in general and how much respect there is between like players and even like the hardest going of fandoms have respect for the best players in the league.

14Yeah. And I really love that. It's like game recognizes game. Yeah. It was like, you're not going to basically like screw over somebody that got hurt, especially when it's, I mean, this is a division rivalry game. So to your point of like the fact that the Eagles fans gave them a standing ovation speaks more volumes of how like great fans are and the community is because like the Eagles don't like the Giants at all. Yeah. Yeah. So that was good to see. yeah that was good to see and then on my outlist i i do have the giants for this week and i don't think this is like a season thing as i said i don't think they're like done for but i think that this week they're kind of on the outlist like it's just a real bummer oh yeah i don't know man the vibes are very down now they could like go out and just shock the world and then have like a crazy win.

14They are up against the 49ers going into week nine, and they are playing at home on Sunday at 12 p.m., November 2nd, Central Time. So that will be an interesting game to watch, but I have to agree with you. The Giants might be out. Yeah, just for this week. We'll see what happens, but for this week, they're on my out list. It's kind of ironic, though, that they're playing the other most injured team in the NFL the week that they're running back, it's injured. I digress. Let's move on. The universe was like, let's make this even. Yeah, the week of Halloween too. Spooky. Okay. In list is men talking about their feelings, talking about Justin Fields saying how he cried in his closet.

07Okay. this was actually kind of sad did you did you see the actual do you okay do you know it is it is really sad like we have to commend people for speaking about their feelings but this was kind of bad no and like similarly to what we're talking about last week with all of these like coaches and general managers in the media basically bashing quarterbacks. Justin Fields got the brunt of that. Justin Fields was not supposed to start this weekend. The only reason why he got the start is because Tyrod Taylor, their backup, is injured. They were, I believe, wholeheartedly, if Tyrod Taylor was healthy this week, they would have started Taylor.

58Justin Fields gets a start actually gets the first Jets win of the season and then in this press conference yeah JTS Jets Jets Jets gets the first one of the season then goes into this press conference and was real with them and it was like yeah dude like I don't think I've ever been at a lower point of my life than when I've been this week and I was in my closet on my knees crying. A grown man. A grown man. But I also love that he talks about it because it's so important, especially for like women. We're used to talking about our feelings. We go to brunch and we say how sad we are. I called you before this and like talked about men and like we talked about like jobs and we we talk about how we feel about these things often.

47Right. Like regardless of what realm of life it is in, we talk about it. And I feel like a lot of men don't talk about their feelings. And so like somebody like Justin Fields in a really hard moment, like being vulnerable in hindsight is one thing. Being vulnerable in the present is extremely hard to do. And so I loved that he did it. And I loved that they won. And I love that he turned around a a really bad week, a not supposed to start, and then came out and finally got a win for the Jets. So now there's no zero win teams in the NFL. I know I did like that. It was like an icing on the cake to a really, really badly cooked cake.

27But the icing made it better. All of a sudden, that W for the Jets. Do you want to hear my Jets theory? Yeah. Okay. So, obviously, trade deadline is coming up. Yes. In like what, six days? Yeah. And we'll talk about trade rumors a little bit later in the episode. But I think the Jets should trade for Shadir Sanders. If the general manager does not, the GM and Aaron Glenn, Aaron Glenn should not save his job at this point. So Aaron Glenn probably doesn't really care what happens. He just needs something new to work with. Tyrod Taylor is not going to be the answer for this Jets team. It's just not.

09I think the Jets could possibly make a move for Shadur. Shadur would get his chance of being a starting quarterback. He would come in as the hero, kind of like Jackson Dart, saving a franchise that's in the dumps right now. I don't mind that move. The Browns, I'm convinced the Browns drafted Shadur for trade bait. I don't think the Browns have any hope in playing Shadur Sanders. Yeah. I mean, if they haven't played him yet, I don't see it happening. I love Justin Fields, so I feel sad about this inside. Yeah. But it would be an interesting move. And then I think it would be a competition between Shadour and Justin.

04Or do you think they would trade Justin away? So I don't think they would trade him away just yet because they just acquired Justin. I talked about this last episode. Like, why are you bashing on a man that y 'all just acquired this season? I think we're going to see a battle. And this happens a lot with NFL teams when they're trying to almost psych out their QB1 into playing better, which is kind of what happened this week. Like they were all the rumors were like, oh, Tyrod Taylor is going to get the start, but he doesn't. Justin Fields gets a start and then goes to win his football game. So I think it's going to be kind of a battle of the mind too.

40I'm like kind of like psyching Justin Fields out and like, hey, you might lose your spot. That's going to make him play better. Yeah. And then I don't know. I think Shadur is a talented quarterback. I think he could easily walk into this Jets offense and take over and be good. So we'll see. That's my theory. We'll see. I'm curious to see, like, you could be right. You could be right, and this could be crazy. It'd be a storyline. Man, that'd be a storyline. Man, yeah. Yeah. Another storyline. This week, Aaron Rodgers played the Packers, and that's a big deal because Aaron Rodgers was a Packer for the majority of his career and has said that he wants to retire as a Packer.

22And I think that Aaron Rodgers never beating the Packers is a better storyline than Aaron Rodgers beating all 32 teams. I just like, I like it.

38I was talking to a new friend today and we were talking about the podcast and I mentioned that we had a sponsor and she said, who's your sponsor? And I said, it's Kuso Cuts. It's this great seasoning company. and she said, oh my gosh, Kusos? Wait, I know them. I love them. And I was like, right? That's crazy that you use them. You should use the code, the game at checkout for 10 % off. But we were just talking about how bold the flavors are. She was saying how easy it is to use because all of their blends are so well made. So it's just so easy to throw on to literally anything that you're cooking.

13It's perfect for tailgate season because you don't have to carry a lot to pack a big punch. So if you want to check out Kuso's for yourself, it's all natural ingredients. It's super clean. It is so delicious. The flavors are bold and the company is fantastic. You will not regret it. Use the game at checkout at kusocuts.com. Thank you, Kuso's, for supporting us. We love you.

40I would agree with you on that because it's kind of like, dang. It's also to your point, He spent so much of his career in Green Bay. So it's kind of like you can't beat the one team that like kind of made you. Yeah. Like you're always going to be a Packer so you can't beat them because you're one of them. Mm-hmm. Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. And I think this is also like a storyline that gets perpetuated in the media more than it actually matters to anybody on the field. Like I don't think Aaron Rodgers cares. No, honestly. okay aaron rogers you want to talk about drama kings like aaron his facial expressions through it's not draft kings anymore it's drama kings it's drama kings that part his facial expressions like tell you everything you need to know like he's constantly like you just know what he's thinking which i can appreciate to a certain extent but i think he did look he won that w i think he wanted to have the 32 accolade i mean yeah because at the end it's kind of a debate like Like, oh, well, dang.

43I don't know how many teams Tom Brady beat, but it's kind of one of those things. Like, has anybody ever done it? And it's very hard for, even if he does it, like, it'd be very hard for somebody else to make that happen. Exactly. Because you have to be old. Old and experienced and play on multiple different teams. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, I want to quickly go through my last couple, and then we should move on to a little bit of game recap. Okay, my last two ins are NFL times Lululemon. I love Lululemon. Their clothes just last so long. And I like that the NFL did a collection and it's a part of, if you didn't listen to our episode where I talked about the NFL going through a complete renaissance, I think this just adds to that storyline and makes it more fun for the girls because we like cute clothes.

35We don't want to wear the same boring t-shirts existed forever. And sometimes we don't want to wear a jersey. Sometimes we just want to wear something like cute for a home game day outfit. So NFL times Lululemon is on my in list. And then Jonathan Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, is on my in list. I mean, the Colts are just on the in. What more can you say? What more can we say? And the last one, I don't really want to harp on this, but the out is, well, they could be kind of an in or out because they're getting us engagement. But the men have found us. the men have found us on instagram because i commented on a post of carly irsay you guys know obviously and i said this is what happens when you put women in charge and the men have become unhappy with us very unhappy guys the way the way i texted victoria earlier this week because obviously we both have access to like our the game the podcast instagram and i was getting all these notifications of men replying to our comment like absolutely bashing us and i was like victoria what's going on i was like i'm not scared thanks for the engagement it.

53Your wife probably listens to our podcast. Shut up. Yeah. And one of them said, like, go back to the kitchen. And I'm like, I actually wrote this from the kitchen. And that's on multitasking. And that's on women in STEM. Period. Yeah. Like the ignorance is crazy. Yeah. And then I did. I I only clapped back one time. Somebody said like, oh, we'll see what the stats. And I said, pull the stats. So anyway, that's funny. There's a couple of girls fighting for our allegiance. All of the girls, not ours, but all of the girls in there. And I'm like, it was nice to see. We have defenders coming to our rescue.

37It's the girls. We love that. This is why we're here. Because the girls are the best. Period. Okay. Should we recap what happened this week? Yeah. week eight recap so this week for me was like it was meh interesting that's what i grade that's what i grade this week meh there were some good storylines obviously like packer stealers that game was intense but i wasn't really hyped up about anything else what about you okay what i liked about this week is that I feel like the cream is rising to the top. Okay. Like we, for in week six, we talked about like, everyone's good. Everyone's bad. Anything can happen.

26And I feel like now we're starting to see more of a separation. So, you know, like the Patriots are coming out really strong. They're now six and two they're above the bills, but the bills are still up there at five and two. Like the Bills and the Patriots are very clearly best AFC East teams. Steelers lost, but they're like holding on. Colts continue to be dominant. Jags have a winning record. Broncos, I was kind of a Broncos hater. I was like, I don't think the Broncos defense is really that good. And they're proving to be really, really good. Their record is now better than the Chargers. But now the Chiefs are playing like the real Chiefs.

05So I feel like the like true, ew, I kind of hate this word, but like, I was going to say the underbelly. The underbelly is absolutely wild, Victoria. The underbelly of the NFL. But like, I feel like the true like heart of the team and what to expect or the foundation is like, we're seeing it shift a little bit to like the better teams are rising and the worst teams are falling, whether it's in like actual play ability or actual wins. Like Packers are kind of came out dominant. We're a little wishy-washy in the middle. I mean, obviously they're five, one and one, but they're still kind of dominating.

55That storyline is prevailing. We're seeing the Vikings are just, just suck now. Buccaneers doing better. Here's the playoff picture after week eight. So currently out of the AFC, the Colts have the number one seed out of the NFC. The Packers have the number one seed wildcard rounds out of the AFC include the chiefs, Patriots, chargers, Broncos, bills stealers out of the nfc wild card round looks like san francisco eagles la rams versus the bucks lions versus the seahawks so kind of like not far off on like what i would predict right but also just interesting obviously with the colts being like the number one overall seed in the afc yeah but i feel like over the chiefs right because i feel like the colts are the only ones who super surprised us and continue to surprise us everyone else who we thought might be kind of a surprise like people I mean for your Cowboys like you guys had a moment where people were like oh we're going and now I feel like that dust is settling a little bit yeah yeah the other teams that we thought like maybe would like make this huge breakout are now like kind of falling and kind of the strong franchises that have been building, building, building.

21We're like in a serious rebuild. We're now kind of seeing them at the top. So I think the cream is kind of rising to the top and we're seeing the separation more now than we were last week. Agreed. It's like that time in the season to like see like the difference. Yeah. Yeah. But I feel like you're kind of right is like, was there really a game of the week? Like the Steelers Packers game actually was a really good game. Interesting to watch. Good storylines. do I need to like talk about it for the rest of time or expand anymore no Eagles Giants that obviously ended in the scatabookey sadness spooky I love that um I will say Miami getting a win over the Falcons did shock me I forgot this game kind of happened that's Miami versus the Falcons but But Miami getting a W by a lot.

10The final score is 34 to 10. Kirk Cousins, I believe, started that game for the Falcons. So Michael Penix Jr. did not play, which is the true QB number one for the Falcons. I believe he's injured or something. Kirk Cousins was on, has been on multiple teams in the past. So he's kind of an interesting storyline to follow when it comes to his career in the NFL. But Miami's now two and six. The Falcons are three and four. after Miami's win and the Falcons lost. So that was kind of an interesting game to watch. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like as the season goes too, like once you kind of realize like these teams likely aren't going to make the playoffs, like their stories just like get a little less interesting.

53No offense, unless there's something really interesting going on. One thing we have to note though is Carson Wentz, Vikings quarterback, is now going through season ending shoulder surgery. So he is out. Yeah. He's also a little bit older. He's 32. So we'll kind of see what's up for him over the next season or so. I kind of feel bad for him because like he, J.J. McCarthy was their number one guy for the Vikings, right? Carson Wentz comes in. J.J. McCarthy didn't play last season. This was supposed to be his season to like actually break out. Yeah. And now he's injured again. And Carson Wentz comes in and you could tell.

36I remember watching this game for Carson Wentz. He's coming off the field and you could just see the emotion on his face of like, A, I know my body cannot play football anymore. And B, I know the football that I'm playing is not up to par with winning a football game for my team. So I sympathize with him in that moment of like, dang, he's trying to put the team on his back. But he just can't. Yeah. It's sad to see someone also like go out on an injury. Like if your career ends at 32 on an injury rather than on a self-elected time to go out. Or like, you know, Jason Kelsey left like very much on his own terms, was able to announce it in his own way.

27And this, if he, if he stops playing after this, it's just like, obviously there will be like a huge celebration for him if he retires and the whole thing. But it just feels sad if like, this is the catalyst rather than like, I just always want to see people choose to go out rather than have injury take them out. Right. You bring up a good point. I didn't even think about this being his last season in that sense, but it makes sense. like realistically what other team is going to pick him up after this kind of injury so right it is like a shoulder related injury too so and i think it's on his throwing arm so sucks yeah we'll see i mean because we he could rehab it really well like i really believe in the power of rehab like 32 you are older but like you're really not that old like you can definitely rehab and like come back from something at 32 i mean fair fair like but i mean we'll see who like I don't know who knows yeah something to watch for sure yeah speaking of trades and uh if you'd be able to make it on another team while we were talking before I thought about my next NFL pitch to the NFL front office okay what if there was an owner wife swap okay like not a real wife swap but like the owners swap for like three games out of the season that actually would be like we need to like produce a show like that yeah like jerry jones goes elsewhere i would watch that every second to see what happens same or like just like family in general like what if charlotte jones goes to the freaking eagles for a game or for three games right be insane it'd be so insane i'm like i don't think that that would ever happen but like that would be so crazy yeah there's too many like red tape stuff that we probably have to cut through yeah like blah blah tom brady already got flack for i forgot what team he's like a minority owner of but they already like crucified him for like being a minority owner but also being like be able to broadcast that's a great idea thanks i love it i love it okay trade rumors yeah let's talk about some trade rumors okay november 4th is the deadline girls we were honestly like what less than a week away at this point i'm gonna read you a list and this is like a pretty official list guys of rumors that are likely to actually be true but there's still rumors at heart okay Steelers Bills and the Broncos have all called about trading for a wide receiver the Steelers the Bills and the Broncos when I look at this Bills need it they need it yeah in my opinion keon coleman not doing the best josh allen can't do it himself it's kind of a similar situation with the ravens like oh my god i was scared you were gonna say the ravens it's just like like i can't like what do you mean like you have two mvp caliber quarterbacks in your team like when like when you look at the cowboys and back prescott you don't say dad prescott without saying C.E.

57Lamb. And you also don't say him now without saying George Pickens. But Josh Allen... Right, you don't say Jared Goff without Amonara saying Brown. Exactly. But now Josh Allen... Or Daniel Jones, Jonathan Taylor. Josh Allen doesn't really have... I mean, he has James Cook, which is a really... He has had a great running back year right now, but you don't have a lot to throw to. You don't have those big names. Yeah. So that's interesting to me. The Broncos is interesting too because they have actually really good receivers. So the Broncos calling around about trading wide receivers is interesting to me.

31The Saints are expected to trade either Chris Olave or Rashid Shahid, which are the two number one picks or two number, wide receiver one, wide receiver two on the Saints team. But I'm curious on what your thoughts are about both of those. It's kind of crazy to me to think that both of those players are on the Saints. I know, because Crystal Lave's a dog. Yeah. Renvier Sheehy, he's a dog too. But they've also named, the Saints have named Tyler Shaw as their starting quarterback. Spencer Rattler is getting benched. That's as of today. As of today when we're recording this, they are naming Tyler Shaw as their starting quarterback.

16I mean, there was a Saints player who recently came out saying, do not trade me. I don't want to go anywhere else. I love being here. I don't care about a record. Like, I want to be here. And I can't remember who it was, but it like feels like it was Olave, but I could be totally wrong. I think it was Olave. Yeah. And after what Ali said about the Saints organization in general, just that like in their like complete staff turnover, all of that, that like that organization seems like a great place to be. And if they can win, winning heals all, as you'll hear on our episode on Friday on Halloween with Alexandra Francisco, who is a journalist and media girl for the Patriots.

59She said winning heals all. And so I feel like, yeah, I don't know. Maybe it's a great place to be. And so they don't want to leave. But I do feel like it doesn't match. Like you could tell me Chris Olave is like going to the Eagles and I'd be like, yeah, it makes sense. Yeah. No, Chris Olave is really talented. He's kind of injury prone. And like, as we've talked about injured players, I kind of hate using the word injury prone more and more now. I will say. That's funny. Cause I remember the first time you said it, I was like, well, you cause you, I remember you said it about Joe Burrow and I was like, he is kind of though, but I do.

36There's other factors that play into why they're injury prone. And that's what I can, I can realize. Right. Right. So. But I mean, also fact to fact, whether we like it or not. Yeah. That part. Speaking of our conversation that's coming out on Friday with Alexandra, with the Patriots, Patriots are expected to trade Kyle Duggar, which might be interesting. The Dolphins are expected to trade some of their defensive players and the Vikings are expected to trade for a veteran quarterback, which I think we all can clearly see why they're expected because we just talked about Carson Wentz for the Vikings.

20So I think they're going to be looking at Jameis Winston, Russell. I think the Giants have played their cards right in acquiring Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson. Obviously, those two quarterbacks aren't going to start. Jackson is their future. So what does that mean for Jameis Winston and Russell? Because I do, similarly to Joe Flacco, Joe Flacco is a little bit better in my book when it was compared to Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. But I'm curious to see if the Giants make a trade to a team like the Vikings who are in need of a veteran quarterback. So those are my trade rumors ahead of the November 4th.

02Have you heard of any other Shadour trade rumors except your theory that you mentioned earlier? Yes, but I can't sit here. The Jets theory makes so much sense to me because I feel like the Jets want a young quarterback. Like, it's interesting when you read that line, like verbatim, the Vikings are expected to trade for a veteran QB. You know, it's like different versus in just saying a quarterback. So for a team like the Jets, if they're in the market for a quarterback. I think Shadir is right up their alley. I don't know what the Ravens are going to do. The Ravens are on this list when it comes to trade rumors.

45They should be. Lamar might come back this week. We'll see. But I think Lamar is close to coming back, so maybe that's why they're not in the market for a quarterback. Yeah, but I mean, they need to trade for some other players so that Lamar can actually play. oh i also have an update about our locker room conversation from last week if you haven't listened to our episode last week we were debating the i guess like morality of taking away so the vikings the the i'm sorry the ravens came in and decided to take away toys in the locker room like the basketball hoop ping pong tables video games and other things that were like distractions in the locker room.

32My update is Victoria and I were talking about in our last episode, how it was like the coaches, you know, like get a grip on the team. Like this is like a personnel issue. Apparently this was a player decision. Apparently the players decided to take away these things in the locker room. Hmm. I know. Isn't that interesting? I can't imagine it though. Okay. So like, it's like when you go to a party, right? You go to a house party and you go and you play beer pong with your best friend and like two people you meet and you're hanging out with those two other people, but that's kind of it. Yeah. And you're not meeting anybody else who doesn't like beer pong.

20And if you hang out at the beer pong table all night, you're meeting two, maybe four people, but you're really hanging out with the person on your side. I love your comparison.

33I just, I think it's true though, because if you have video games and you love to play with whoever else, you'll kind of naturally like fall into routines. And so maybe the players were like, we're so into our routines that we need to like be around other people and like actually bond. Oh, interesting. Goes back to culture. Always goes back to culture. It's like slowly seeing it's a huge, huge thing. Just getting an update on my phone, Giants officially placed Cam Skadaboo on the IR. Whenever a player is placed in the IR, he's at least going to be out on there for a month. So R.I.P. Our little Cammy.

13Yeah, he's not coming back. Full circle for the episode, though. Yeah, I know, right? There you go. Oh, man. Well, come back on Friday on Halloween for our episode with Alexandra Francisco. Francisco, she is amazing. I loved the interview with her. It was just, she's very dynamic. She's very smart. She is creative. She gives her whole story. She talks about what she does at the Patriots and how she's kind of created an indispensable job for herself there. And it's just a great time. We talk a lot about women and reporting. And I think you're going to love the episode and hearing what she has to say about the inside of the Patriots organization that we don't get to see often.

THE GAME X CUSOS BUFFALO BILLS TAILGATE 11/2 AT 11:00 AM ON IN THE HAMMER LOT! SEE YOU THERE <3.

New York was buzzing over a rookie tandem—until one brutal play stopped everything and reminded us how fragile this sport can be. Cam Scadaboo’s season-ending injury forced a gut-check for the Giants, and even Eagles fans rose for a standing ovation. Rivalries paused; respect didn’t.

From there, Week Eight delivered: a young QB learning why chemistry matters, a reset coming to New York’s RB room, and fantasy waiver names that call for patience, not panic.

Off the field, honesty stole the week. Justin Fields admitted he cried in his closet before leading the Jets’ first win—redefining toughness in real time. We debate the tush push (keep the play, fix the calls), say goodbye to the banana uniforms, and give props to NFL x Lululemon for finally getting what fans actually wear on Tuesdays.

The standings sharpened: the Colts keep surprising, the Chiefs recalibrated, the Broncos’ defense is real, and the playoff picture is finally taking shape. With the trade deadline looming, the Bills need a separator, the Vikings might chase a veteran QB, and the Saints have tough calls in a crowded WR room. Inside locker rooms, players—not coaches—are setting the tone for accountability.

Week Eight had everything: heartbreak, honesty, and just enough chaos to keep us glued. If this is where the league’s headed—raw, self-aware, and still ridiculous—we’re here for it.
