In short
The episode argues that a Senate hearing targeting special counsel Jack Smith was propaganda that backfired on Missouri Sen. Eric Schmidt. It focuses on a “brutal takedown” moment where Schmidt accused Smith of perjury about whether Smith attended an Atlanta Hawks game on Feb. 3, 2024; the host claims Smith’s testimony was consistent and that Schmidt was ill-prepared, calling it a “face plant.” The host also claims Judge Aileen Cannon’s gag order limits Smith’s ability to discuss classified-documents investigations. Key examples include the Hawks/University of Maryland basketball confusion and later criticism of JD Vance’s immigration claims.

I've been remiss and negligent and not browbeating Eric Schmidt and bringing him to your attention, but he brought himself to the attention of the entire world yesterday. And this is just a spectacular face plant for the ages. You know, everybody in the MAGA regime is really doing everything they can do to execute Donald Trump's plan of going after people who sought law and order against Trump and all of the criminals that tried to overthrow an election. So they hauled Jack Smith in to the Senate yesterday.
47And here's what happened. Play the clip. An NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks on February 3rd, 2024. What city would that be in? Atlanta. No. Okay. So your testimony today is that you did not go to a Hawks game on February 3rd, 2024. Is that correct? I have no recollection of that. Let me just give you a little context. The day before Fannie Willis came clean with her affair with the prosecutor, you know, the Atlanta prosecutor that was also trying to get Trump. The next day, were you in Atlanta? I do not believe so. Okay. Did you ever go to Atlanta during your time at special counsel?
30I really don't think so. It's possible I flew through the Atlanta airport on the way to Florida, but I do not have a recollection of going to Atlanta. I definitely did not go to a Hawks game. I'm sure of that. You may think you're a hero in this story, but let me tell you something. You're the villain. You will go down as a total dirtbag. I recall going to a University of Maryland basketball game where Caitlin Clark was playing. Right around that time, and the Marshal Service was there with me. You could check if that was the exact date. It was Maryland playing Iowa, I think, February of 2024.
12But, again, you can check that out if that's what we're talking about. University of Iowa. Is it the Hawkeyes? Yes. Could it then be that University of Iowa is the Hawkeyes? Could that be it if he was at an Iowa game? Is that correct? It was because Caitlin Clark was coming to Maryland to play. I know, but that might be the confusion over the names of the team, but perhaps you should have looked at it more carefully. Whose questioning is this, by the way, Mr. Chairman? Are you using your time, Senator? Is this what this is? Are we just having like an open session here? I will begin my questions.
48I'm just in shock. Well, I'm glad you're trying to rehabilitate the witness, but it's not your time. When you are calling a witness a dirt bag and showing him these things. I presented him with text messages about him wanting to meet with people that could have obviously been related to the prosecution that was coordinated with his office in Atlanta. Well, I'm going to begin my questions now, but I think that people should have their facts straight before they accuse someone of being a dirtbag and not get the team. I stand by that statement. This is a real four seasons total landscaping moment.
19The Republican Party strikes again with their abject stupidity. Let's not forget the name of this hearing is the oversight of Jack Smith's abuse of authority and targeting of Republicans. So this was not an objective hearing, but let's go right to the juice of this. So this Senator Schmidt, he was a former attorney general for the state of Missouri. And I'm thinking to myself, why can't I get any cases against dumbass prosecutors like that? He spends this whole moment to sort of, how do you not know that information? How can you run with that narrative without knowing that central piece of information about what he's talking about and try to do this huge buildup about that and be so ill-informed and so ill-prepared.
08And that's not on a staffer. That's on him. And then double down on it. I think he doubles down on this mistake that he made. This entire hearing was clearly a form of propaganda. It's like we see day in and day out. Only this time, Jack Smith is the boogeyman. He investigated these one-sixers. What we haven't talked about is that Judge Cannon in the Southern District of Florida, she still has a gag order that prevents Jack Smith from speaking about the other criminal investigation into the classified documents, which I think is a lot more damaging. But he was allowed to answer questions here.
47And it was kind of embarrassing. It was embarrassing for the Republicans. None of them wanted to know about the facts of it. I think Ted Cruz goes on a narrative of just asking questions to being critical of things, not asking, you know, basically character assassinations of Jack Smith, not asking any questions about the investigation. The whole thing was a complete farce. It backfired completely on Senator Schmidt and all of the other senators. I think Senator Grassley asked a couple of questions and, you know, he's 93 years old. He didn't get the answer he wanted, so he just had to stop and pause for a long few seconds.
24That was somewhat uncomfortable. So I think all in all this thing backfired like we anticipated. They'll get no traction out of this. It was a master class in incompetence, a master class in stupidity. And it shows you it's a little window into the MAGA brain. The MAGA brain sees that, oh, he was at a basketball game. Find out what NBA game was going that night. Oh, my God, he was in Atlanta. He must have been colluding with people. And that's where they their brain always goes to the most nefarious super quickly. And I think that this entire thing needs to be spun about how these MAGA men, that guy who tried to act like such a tough guy, Eric Schmidt, who was auditioning to be J.D.
11Vance's VP. It's rumored online. So all of this is an audition for Donald Trump to call you or J.D. Vance to call you to say, oh, you did such a great job. Yeah. These people are this is the party of law and disorder. They are covering up for criminals that broke into the Capitol, wanted to hang Mike Pence, hang Mike Pence, hang Mike Pence. And they have no loyalty to anything except for the fragile ego of this demented, old, vengeful queen, Donald Trump, who has all of these obsequious trad wives, Eric Schmidt, Lion Ted, Grassley, and others who march in there who easily say, hey, Donald Trump, here's our balls before we go in and we'll go in and show you that we will do whatever you need for us to do.
05And then Senator Katie Britt from Alabama, and she's a real MAGA thumper too. This is her face when she realizes that Schmidt is lying. Play this clip. Right around that time, and the Marshal Service was there with me. You could check if that was the exact date. It was Maryland. So the reason why she's looking like that is because I believe, this is my theory, Eric Schmidt was like, all right, listen up, MAGA warriors. Listen up, Patriots. I've got him. I've got him by the balls. He colluded with Fannie Willis. He was at this Hawks game and they were all ready. And how I believe that this theory of mine to be true is that a lot of influencers, Benny Johnson, alleged heterosexual Benny Johnson, and what's his name, Sean Hannity and a bunch of other MAGA sycophants, immediately before Jack Smith was able to say, hey, I was actually at a University of Maryland game.
06They already went to Twitter and started playing offense. Pop this up. So Benny Johnson puts out, Senator Eric Schmidt just caught Jack Smith perjuring himself on the stand in his testimony. And he goes on about the NBA game. Well, as the hearing goes on, Benny Johnson, Sean Hannity, everybody, and all these other MAGA influencers have to take it down. So they all knew they get marching orders before they go in. Eric Schmidt's going to be, he's going to be running point on this. We're going to get Jack Schmidt. Everybody be ready. Keyboard warriors, patriots, get ready with your thumbs and let's go because we're going to post this.
47So of course they lack impulse control. They lack a affection for the truth. And the only ethos they have is quote unquote owning the libs. So they jump the gun and own the lives. And then it's Heartbreak Hotel embarrassing face plant to end all face plants. And needless to say, Jack Smith is a real threat to them because Jack Smith knows exactly what a criminal Donald Trump is. And Jack Smith is a man of law and order. Jack Smith is not partisan. Jack Smith is the man that these people wish they could be, but they're too broken to be that. And here's a video of Jack Smith testifying in front of Congress about Trump's crimes.
35Play the clip. The charges against President Trump were the result of the evidence. Grand juries in two separate districts reached this conclusion based on his actions, as alleged in the indictments they returned. Rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 presidential election, President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power. Josh, unpack for me in the audience how when you have a special counsel like this, a federal prosecutor and the machinations and work process that they go through and the grand jury to corroborate. These are extraordinary claims that the president of the United States engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn a free and fair election.
30And an extraordinary claim requires extraordinary evidence. So explain to us, unpack how you think there's probably veracity to what Jack Smith is saying there. Well, number one, Jack Smith is probably one of the top level prosecutors at DOJ. I mean, he's brilliant. He's smart. And if you'll remember when Merrick Garland finally got around to investigating these matters, it seems like they took forever to bring the charges. And that's somewhat common for federal cases because they meticulously developed the evidence. They subpoenaed witnesses. They subpoenaed tons of documents. They have forensic experts in the FBI that look at these to track the money.
20I think with the 1-6 case, there was going to be a lot of financial records that showed who paid for this and who orchestrated this. And And it's a rather complex case to prove. So that does take a lot of time, especially dealing with a grand jury. But one of the things he said in that speech was that he presented this indictment and he didn't present it based on a lot of conjecture. He based it on Donald Trump's own conduct. So there are certain things that you can use as evidence that are somewhat unrefuted. And if Donald Trump said something or if he did something, that's pretty much unrefuted.
55You don't need a third party to rely upon that. You know that he did it. And so what I think he's saying in that is that we relied heavily on just things that Donald Trump did himself that showed that he he violated the law. And there's no question that that I think he would have been ultimately convicted of these crimes or certainly would have been a vigorous defense he put up. But I think they felt very confident about this. And but for Judge Cannon in the Southern District of Florida, she saved him. She basically jumped in and saved him from from this. And so but you and I knew this with one six.
37How did this happen that there is a cycle that turned over and then he gets reelected after this? Like that to me, every time I see a clip about this and I have to relive that period of time, I think to myself, How did this man come full circle and get reelected by the American people? How dumb are we? How stupid are we? How much propaganda can you believe in to process that? And how can the Democrats fumble the ball so poorly and not do that again? Anyway, I sort of. No, I completely agree with that because I think that will be one thing that two things that really scar Joe Biden's legacy. Number one, the handling of Benjamin Netanyahu and Gaza.
21And number two, domestically, the biggest thing that will forever define his presidency is his appointment of Merrick Garland and saying, we're going to have complete separation here. These were extraordinary times. We had a mob that wanted to hang Mike Pence, a white Republican Christian man that was loyal to Donald Trump right up to the bitter end. But it wasn't enough. They wanted him to break the law and lie. And nobody's safe in this MAGA movement, not even a white Christian man, Republican like Mike Pence. They would have killed him. You know, nobody's safe. Remember Josh Hawley running out of the Capitol?
57He was scared shitless. I mean, and he's as MAGA as you can be, and he's scared shitless. Yeah, he's tucking and rolling. And so it's really, when I think about it, when I stop and think about that day and what we all saw, and I knew the most MAGA of MAGAs saying, he's gone too far. And then they all start providing a permission structure. And when I say all, I'm talking about the media. I'm talking about Republican people. And now here we are. And we are at the gates of, are we going to save our country in less than five weeks? Are we going to save our country from these barbarians? But this is really interesting because in order to be in MAGA, you have to live in lies.
46So we've already discussed at great length how stupid Fox News viewers are. They know that that channel has had to pay a billion dollars for lying to them. And they go, you know what? I don't care. The lies are better for me. I don't want the truth because my little undeveloped, emotionally stunted brain can't handle it. So Trump has announced the government is rolling out its own AI tool. Pop this up. So the White House posts a new national front door to the federal government. One trusted place to help people find answers wherever you need, whatever you need from government. Start here, 29 ,000 websites into one.
30So the American citizens immediately were like, yippee, let's ask, you know, let's ask this super intelligent, some super duper questions. And here are some examples of these. Pop it up. who won the 2020 election ai responds joseph r biden jr won the 2020 u.s presidential election so mind you the entire dipshit parade the master class and dipshittery that we just played for you with eric schmidt in the senate yesterday was all around that around that election and even trump's ai says joe biden won the 2020 election there's no question there's a bunch of engineers right now giving that AI a lobotomy and it will be changed by probably by the time this airs.
16But here's another one. Pop this up. A brave patriot asks, is it accurate to say that the big beautiful bill on average made the poorest people in America even poorer and the richest people in America even richer when looking at total household resources? One word answer only, please. The super duper intelligence says, yes, it did make the poorest people poor and the richest people richer. Like you suggested, just give him about a day or two to tweak this new version of AI. I mean, think about this. What could possibly go wrong with the president of the United States, who just happens to be probably the dumbest person in the United States, who just also happens to lie more than any other person that we've ever had in office in any position.
11So what could possibly go wrong with them orchestrating an AI for the American people to have as a resource to go find out the truth about things in government? What a disaster. Well, Elon Musk, his AI bot Grok, he gave it a lobotomy and people started asking it questions like who's a better athlete, LeBron James or Elon Musk? And Grok had been so lobotomized, it started saying Elon Musk, which we've all seen the big pot belly, the black eye, the, you know, tripping balls on ketamine. But here's something I want to close on. The little smoky eyed sociopath, the little heir apparent, J.D. Vance, whom Eric Schmidt, before his fantastic face plant, was auditioning to be his running mate, is now blaming immigrants for all of your problems.
00Play the clip. One of the problems that exists in American society would be solved, not all of them, but just by deporting illegal aliens. So lower housing prices, lower rents, lower violent crime statistics. One of the reasons why we have a historically low murder rate is, of course, because we've been supporting law enforcement, but also because we've gotten a lot of violent criminals out of the United States of America. OK, I want to point out that the facts don't figure out what he says. And I also want to point out J.D. Vance, your in-laws are immigrants. okay and your mixed race kids to the white people that you hang out with all the time will never see them as quote real Americans I do I see them as real Americans and I think it's cool I think it's cool that you have an Indian wife I think it's cool that you have mixed race kids you don't and the white supremacists you hang out with don't and they're going to think that they aren't real Americans.
53Furthermore, the immigrant population crime rates are so much lower than American-born citizens. It's not even comparable in the least. The people who are coming for your jobs and the people who are committing crimes are all of the people that were at the White House yesterday at the Circle Jerk meeting for the super-duper intelligence. Yeah, and so let's unpack a couple of things there. The number one problem in America right now are white young men who have access to guns, not immigrants. Now, if you want to talk about crime, I think in just in the state of Texas alone, the arrest records show undocumented immigrants are arrested for violent crime at lower rates than native-born citizens by far.
41I think immigrants make up about one in four construction workers. So if you want to talk about the cost of building homes, they're going to go up. But all this data points the other direction. And I think he's just simply fear mongering. I mean, it's just there's this whole push right now on immigrants. And that's what they do when they have nothing else to talk about. It's what they did to Joe Biden. It's what they're doing now. It's it's and it's a complete just a complete lie. It's propaganda to scare people. And again, I want to tell you, JD Vance, your in-laws, the grandparents of your four children, your four mixed race children are immigrants.
24And the fact that you and Usha actively advocate and legislate and propagandize to make a world less safe for Usha, her four children, and her parents is so morally disgusting, absolutely disgusting. All right, that's all we have. Please like and subscribe, and we will be back later with more news.
