In short
The episode argues Fox News and Trump are mishandling or selectively omitting coverage of Jeffrey Epstein, and discusses calls for transparency and possible special counsel; it also claims DOJ oversight has been weakened under Pam Bondi.
Guests
Katie Fang (“Crazy Whisperer”), described as a “decoder” of political news; she and the host discuss media editing, AG actions, and DOJ ethics.
Key claims
Fox’s Epstein-related clip is framed as “guilt by omission” (not directly declassifying Epstein files, unlike other files). Trump allegedly wants Epstein files released but may pressure officials not to. A special counsel is deemed unnecessary; redacted release protecting victims is suggested. Pam Bondi allegedly fired DOJ ethics watchdog Joseph Terrell, reducing oversight.
Notable examples
CBS/60 Minutes “edited” Kamala Harris interview lawsuit settled for $16M; Epstein death “cameras didn’t work”; Laura Loomer calling for a special counsel; Ghislaine Maxwell’s appeal and DOJ reply.

0:34more crazy news in this crazy trumps america and to help us decipher it is the absolute wonder katie fang katie crazy whisperer yeah no you're helping us because you're saying you're one of the same ones okay the very first clip i want to ask you about is trump sued cbs because they edited Kamala Harris's interview. And they paid it because number one, they were trying to get, Paramount was trying to be bought out or do a merger and they thought Trump would block it. So basically they suck. But let me play you what they've done on Fox editing Donald Trump about Epstein. And I want to get your feedback on it.
1:19Sure. If you were president, would you declassify, You can answer yes or no to these. Would you declassify the 9-11 files? Yeah. Would you declassify JFK files? Yeah. I did a lot of it. Would you declassify the Epstein files? Yeah, yeah, I would. All right. I guess I would. I think that less so because, you know, you don't know. You don't want to affect people's lives if it's phony stuff in there because there's a lot of phony stuff with that whole world. But I think I would or at least I would. Do you think that would restore trust? Help restore trust? I don't know about Epstein so much as I do the others.
1:53Certainly about the way he died, it would be interesting to find out what happened there, because that was a weird situation and the cameras didn't happen to be working, etc., etc. But yeah, I'd go a long way toward that one. The other stuff, I would. So what do you think about that? Okay, so I have to remind everybody that CBS got sued, as you said, and they had filed a motion to dismiss before the Trump administration kicked in, right? And then the next thing you know is they're settling for$16 million with the Trump administration because of that merger with Skydance. Okay, fine. But to your point, the allegations from Trump was that that Kamala Harris interview was deceptively edited.
2:32But the reality is this is what 60 Minutes did. They played a portion on one show on CBS. And then later on that day, they played the rest of the interview. So there was no editing that happened. It literally was push play, hit pause, push play, hit pause. What we just saw right now is 100 % guilt by omission. And if you noticed, Trump immediately, quickly on JFK and everything else was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. But when it came to Epstein, well, let me hem and let me haw. But if you also listen to what he said, even he says there was something suspicious about Epstein's death. And he was relying upon the videos that, according to Pam Bondi, are impeccable and haven't been manipulated in any way.
3:11so why wouldn't somebody be suing the shit out of Fox News now saying deceptive editing because of what it is and footnote that lady I can't get over she was the road rules lady was she the road rules from MTV or was she the freaking real world lady you know she's married she's married to Sean Defty transportation yeah yeah we started with those two but anyway go ahead well I just what I find interesting about the whole thing is he's like well I mean there might be stuff in there that's not true. I mean, he's already prepping people that he might be in there or that his, you know, close advisors or donors are in there.
3:46So then it takes me back to why didn't you just redact it instead? Now MAGA's at his throats. But here's the thing, Fox News, I read yesterday that, you know, all this Epstein stuff is breaking. MAGA is melting down, like on fire. Fox News, I think it was 545, they'd said Biden 90 times and never once referenced Epstein. So I'm just like, part of me has no sympathy for the Fox News watcher. But when you say they truly have no idea what's going on, they really don't. I'm not giving them a pass. But Fox News is over their just straight up propaganda. Yeah. And it's a crazy ecosystem in the Fox News land, right?
4:33Because they only put out and peddle the propaganda that their dear Fuhrer is telling them to have, right? So he may not have his paws on a day in, day out basis in terms of content, but there's a reason why you hear Biden's name 90 times and you don't hear Jeffrey Epstein's name vis-a-vis Donald Trump, which is ironically the reason to celebrate you, me and others in independent media because look we're we're not mincing words when it comes to the release and the call for transparencies of the epstein stuff and politics makes weird weird bed bellows oh that was a little too much but politics can do some weird things and listen we are aligning ourselves with some crazy people right now like laura loomer and tucker carlson and megan kelly who went to town at the turning point usa conference and made sure it was clear that even she was saying you know, this is dumb.
5:21Like this makes you look really bad when you spend all of this energy calling for the release of these files. And now that you have them in your care custody and control and you don't do it. So again, we're aligning ourselves right now with weird people. But you know, the funny thing is the pursuit of truth shouldn't be partisan. And in this instance, if you're looking for the truth to come out, you should be able to access the truth because this is the federal freaking government. We're not talking about some private industry which can gatekeep what it wants this is a federal prosecution of a pedophile that was accused of a sex trafficking ring of young girls and you know i also want to say may she rest in peace virginia joffrey you know she's dead now and she was one of the few people that had the the courage to stand up and so there are people that were destroyed by this man and even trump be sitting there saying there's a question mark in the way that this man died.
6:19So why not let people make decisions on their own, hopefully using critical thinking skills, but based upon the facts and the evidence. I completely agree. And interesting bedfellows, Laura Loomer, she's been, I mean, upfront talking about it. So today she joins calls for a special counsel to handle the Epstein files. Now, this is a sticky situation for Trump and Pam Bondi. What do you think about a special counsel on the Epstein matter. I mean, do we even need to go that far? I don't think so. I think at this point, why? So special counsel can get pressured by Trump to not release anything. I mean, why not just release things in a redacted form that protects the victims and the identities of those that are the vulnerable and just make sure the rest of it is out again, contemplating things that we shouldn't be seeing that are criminal in nature.
7:10But when you've lost Laura a loomer, right? Yeah, it's bad. That's some bad shit. And I keep telling, you know, saying on this channel, like we can get 27 different AGs appointed. They're never going to release the files because Trump is in the files and maybe his other cohorts. But we know for a fact he's on the flight logs. We know for a fact he was leaving messages. So like Pam Bondi is the scapegoat, but I don't think Trump's going to fire because she's doing what he asks. No, and the reporting as of today is Trump has picked Bondi's side on this. And that's why Dan Bingo Boingo Bongino has refused to go back to his job that we are paying for as taxpayers for him to do.
7:51Here's the thing. I'm so glad you bring up attorneys general. You know, Pam Bondi was a Florida attorney general doing all of this stuff. And that there were Alex Acosta, who was the interim US attorney, who was like, I think he was like the labor secretary or something like that during the first term. Like he had his fingerprints on this too. Like there are all of these people. This has been going on for decades. And that's what's wild is that this has been going on for so long. And ostensibly, other than Ghislaine Maxwell, who's currently appealing her conviction and sentence to the United States Supreme Court, which the Department of Justice just filed its reply yesterday, objecting to her conviction and sentencing being set aside.
8:31So now the DOJ has put itself squarely at legal odds against Ghislaine Maxwell. all. So there's nothing technically stopping her from speaking, which is why I've always said when all of this happened, she should be in protective custody to make sure that she's going to be okay because that weird skip in the video and Bondi's bullshit, lame excuse that every single video happens because it was switching over at that time. That's not what Donald Trump says. Donald Trump said something totally different. And, you know, the Justice Department had gotten two extensions about, you know, filing and response. So my question was, were they just going to let that slide? And then now with all the heat, they realize they can't let it slide. But, you know, I don't know, that's pure speculation on my part. But one thing I found interesting is Pam Bondi, through all this, has fired her personal ethics advisor, a career attorney who'd spent 20 years at the department, removing the justice department's top official for counseling the most senior appointees.
10:56And my question is, does she think she has ethics if she just fires the ethics department person? I mean, this is nuts. I mean, the Pam Bondi thing, it's nuts. So I actually covered this story on my YouTube channel yesterday because I was so outraged. This happened on Friday at the end of the day. This guy, Joseph Terrell, who was the personal ethics watchdog at the Department of Justice for like 20 freaking years. So not partisan. Not partisan, which is why I was like, look, if you know somebody who's been working that long and they've been a Republican and Democratic administrations, you know they're probably doing something right, especially in that space.
11:36So it wasn't just his job that was at issue. he actually oversaw staff people that were also giving ethics advice to federal agencies and employees. So he gets a letter on Friday via email that just says, your job's over. Bye. Thanks for your federal service. I don't think he said thank you. And he ended up posting on LinkedIn. LinkedIn's a crazy place, by the way. Like, I feel like we should go to LinkedIn and just like troll it. So he posted on LinkedIn a copy of the letter he got from Bondi and he then said, listen, the arc of justice, you know, is going to lean towards, you know, justice here.
12:14Like he was like, look, I am not going to be silent about what has happened to me. But putting that aside, you know, they have eliminated inspectors general and they took the guy who used to be the DOJ watchdog, Michael Horowitz, and moved into the Federal Reserve of all places. So there's really no oversight oversight over the DOJ. And those are the people that need oversight the most. They're the ones that are politicizing and weaponizing the federal government to do criminal investigations of political opponents and perceived enemies of Trump and his administration. If there was any place that needed handholding and an adult, it's the DOJ.
12:47And now I say it's the criminals running the jail because they got rid of the wardens and any of the officers. Absolutely. And Kash Patel, I mean, he has just been a hanger on for Trump for years and years and years. And then Pam Bondi, didn't she, wasn't she in charge of the Trump University where she dismissed it on behalf of the state of Florida? So, I mean, she's been in his pocket for years. But it's just, it's so unbelievable to me that people that are civil servants that have been in their jobs forever, that are supposed to help with oversight. sites, they get rid of them so they can just trample over it.
13:25And again, Congress isn't doing anything. They don't even want to hear on the Epstein files. Elon Musk goes into the federal government. They don't want to hear anything about it. And I look at this and think, if we are able to have the midterms and the Democrats do get in power, are the laws going to be held to account through Congress? Are they going to start bringing these people in and questioning them? This ethics advisor, why were you fired? Can he come in and testify about that? Well, he can whistleblow. We've seen whistleblowers step forward at the DOJ, a man named Mr. Rivani. He's the guy who was the immigration DOJ lawyer for 15 years, but worked in the first Trump term and actually defended the Trump policies back then, Muslim ban, child separation, et cetera.
14:15But when he was pressured by Emil Bove and other supervisors at the DOJ, he said, I can't do this anymore, especially because a federal judge, James Boasberg in DC was saying, wait, wait, you cannot deplane and disembark these people in El Salvador. You have to bring them back. So we have people that have the courage to step up and say something when it's important. And there should be whistleblower protections that are true and that are that are affording the protections that are necessary for people to be able to come forward and tell the truth, especially in administration like this. But I want to remind you too, these are all rewards.
14:45These cabinet positions and other type of heads of agencies. Pam Bondi was an election denier. She was a part of the Trump legal team that fought back saying that the election was stolen. So any of these, you know, it's in freaking Cash Patel is another stage five clinger, like Laura Loomer and others. And so they're all being rewarded for their loyalty. I think loyalty is a great thing but you cannot use loyalty in replacement for democracy right so i don't i mean listen you want to give somebody some cush ambassadorship a la kimberly guilfoyle i guess i feel badly for greece but other than something like that which by the way a lot of other administrations did so i'm not bullshitting anybody but you're not giving them department of defense secretary of state department of justice and let's not forget todd blanche he's involved in all of this too.
15:35He's a DEG and now he's running interference for Pam bonding at the DOJ when it comes to Epstein stuff too. So they're all thick as thieves. They're literally the walking definition of thick as thieves. Well, and corruption just on a scale that I don't think we've ever seen in the United States. I really don't. I mean, you know, just start with the crypto and work your way down. I mean, it's just awful. So Katie, thank you so much for joining us.
