Crystal Ball, who I thought parents were for sure hippies that named her Crystal Ball that had crystals and wind socks and all sorts of stuff. Crystal Ball, welcome to I've Had It. Thank you, ladies. It is an honor to be here.
0:45Very hard to follow in Joy Reid's footsteps, I have to say. She's pretty amazing. She's pretty great. Okay, Crystal, you and I met in, I was on your podcast and then we spent the day together at the US Open. Which was great. It was so great. Have a love of tennis. And we spent some time with Tore, your former friend, not former friend, your current friend. I was like, what happened? What's the beef? Tore. You would be very upset to hear that. Yes. No, current friend, former co-host back when we were at MS Now or whatever the thing is called now. And Joy, obviously Joy and I know each other from there as well.
1:25So a few MSNBC refugees here. Yeah. All right. So, Crystal, what have you had it with? I have had it with AI slop. Who asked for this crap? It's already being used by a bunch of reactionary politicians, people like Trump, of course, and Andrew Cuomo. the data centers that they're building out for this thing are already like sucking up all the water they're spiking everybody's electricity bills the grand plan apparently is to steal everybody's jobs and potentially end all of human civilization so i am not a fan i'm scared of it i don't and i'm not able to distinguish sometimes like is this ai is this real i have to ask our executive producer because i really don't know and i get sucked in a lot i'm not embarrassed to admit it because it's hard.
2:11It's really hard. Everybody does. No, everybody does. Look, I mean, the thing that I actually find the hardest to distinguish right now is I love, like anybody else, a good, cute animal video. And they will mix in the real ones with the AI ones. And oftentimes, I can't tell the difference. So you have people taken in by, you know, that you have people taken in by a bunch of the political stuff already. And I think it's sort of intentional to destabilize reality so that these tech oligarchs can control what we think and what we know about the reality of the world. Don't you feel like I feel somewhat conned and scammed if I see a, for example, there were these videos of these French bulldogs, AI doing these dives, like really dynamic, like Olympic style dives.
3:02And those were really fun because you knew they weren't real. It was obvious that a french bulldog with one inch long legs could not do a triple pike whatever it is but then you i see someone like oh my god these puppies are so cute and my son will tell me mom that's ai and i feel so like scammed i feel like a part of me like i don't i don't want to like something fake and then i just read this article you guys that there is i don't know if it's amazon or where it is they're cranking out 3 000 weekly ai podcasts have you heard about oh Oh my God. I did not hear about that. I know that there's more AI news content on the web now than there is real content.
3:42So we're already living in this world. You're already having, you know, many fewer jobs for kids coming out of college. So the job displacement is here as well. And if you listen to the guys who are designing this stuff, they will tell you their goal is to eliminate all human labor. So while Trump and the right wingers and all of MAGA are telling us, oh, the problem is the immigrants, they're taking your jobs. The reality is they're pumping up these tech oligarchs who literally want to replace everyone and announce that publicly as their goal. Let's just stay with that for a beat. So basically, the Elon Musks, the Jeff Bezos, the Peter Thiels, they want their robots, their AI, which they tend to own most of, to take over all of these jobs.
4:32Yeah, and they effectively bought this presidency. You know, that's, I think, really what Elon's hundreds of millions of dollars are. He's the one that picks J.D. Vance to be vice president. You remember at the inauguration, they were all surrounding Trump. They've gotten all of their deregulation. Right now, Republicans are trying to make it so that states cannot regulate AI at all. Like, this is at the core of what his presidency actually is, is selling out to these tech oligarchs who effectively want to get rid of democracy and have themselves in control of everything. And their big bet for that is AI.
5:03I mean, they're spending, expecting to spend trillions of dollars on the data center buildout. Our entire economy is a bet on this crap. And so the AI slop is just like the visible manifestation of where this is all headed. Crazy. I didn't realize until recently how much power from the power grid these AI centers took and how much water like environmentally alone. It's a huge concern just with all the resources that they're taking from other people. But I guess if they're going to replace all the people, they don't give a shit. Yeah. No, they don't care. It's actually anti like you guys talk a lot about the religious right and conservative Christians, whatever.
5:46Like it's actually anti-creation is what Naomi Klein says about it, because you're sucking up all of the resources that humanity needs in order to create this sort of shadow world based on all of our ideas and ultimately to fundamentally supplant and replace humanity. That's the plan. And it sounds insane when you say it, but that's literally how they explain what the plan is. I mean, the good side, and I don't know if you guys feel this, I feel like in general, the Trump presidency is extremely weakened right now. Yes. Huge backlash against him in the elections. You see even some of the Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene starting to revolt.
6:21But an undercurrent of these election results was backlash against these data centers and the way they've spiked electricity bills in Georgia. Those statewide races that shifted like 30 points towards Democrats, that was about electric bills and how they are expensive there. In Virginia, it's been a huge issue as well. So at least there's some sort of public awareness and pushback that's starting to grow. So I think there's a through line between the oligarchs that you talk about and the Christian nationalists like the Moses Mike Grinder Johnsons, the Heritage Foundations. Obviously, these oligarchs, with the exception of Peter Till, who has this weird obsession with the Antichrist and the rapture.
7:00But we'll leave that there. But in general, they're not super religious people like the Heritage Foundation, you know, white Christian nationalists are. But one of your grievances we emailed before is men being mad at us for not wanting to vote away our own rights. And I think the through line from the Heritage Foundation to the oligarchs to Trump is misogyny. That's the one thing they all have in common. And you hear all the time. Every time I turn on the news, open my phone, rise in anti-Semitism, rise in anti-Semitism. Like, OK, can we also talk about the rise of misogyny and sexism? Even The New York Times is participating in it.
7:38Well, how is the how's the Sharia law going in New York, ladies?
7:45I can tell you. So, first of all, I don't know if you guys saw after those election results, all of these freaks, a bunch of like right wing evangelical types. They saw that young women voted 80 percent for Democrats, including, you know, 80 percent for Zoran Mamdani. And they were like, we have to make it so these women can't vote anymore. Like, no, where did we go wrong? What did we do? How can we win them back? Maybe, you know, maybe we shouldn't be trying to take all their rights or like hate them for existing. Maybe we should rethink some of no, it was we need to make sure that these women cannot possibly vote again.
8:20And I was actually at my son's soccer tryout last night. And I was thinking about you guys because I heard this guy talking about how New York women had just voted in sharia law and 80 of them supported this and like first of all this is insane second of all if you really believe that like what would it say about the republican party that the choice was sharia law or the republican party i'll take the sharia thank you 80 like sharia hands down no question but great point but you know crystal the the most the party that i see that wants to institute a sharia law type uh structure on women is maga super majorities in red states in our state i think it's ranked 50th for women to live oklahoma dead last and so it's amazing to me that I saw this whole like somebody put together like a hype reel of Fox News talking about the Republicans purging all these Democratic voters.
9:28And they sit there, these women who have careers, particularly Laura Ingram, who has a career. She's unmarried. She has children, etc. And she sits there and tells women, your path to happiness is to be a homemaker and stay at home and quit chasing your career. So the stupidity that they treat us with, that they think we're so stupid as that, oh, Laura Ingram can have a job, but we can't. It's so insane. Well, have you heard them talking about this concept of suicidal empathy or toxic empathy? Yes. This idea that like, oh, the fact that we, oh, I don't know, care about immigrants or care about Palestinian children being murdered with our tax dollars in Gaza.
10:14that this empathy is somehow bad and toxic. And they apply that to, you know, to look at women voting for Democrats and like, oh, it's because of their suicidal empathy. It's because of their toxic empathy. And like, first of all, having empathy, that seems like a pretty basic, my understanding of what a Christian value is. Right, right. That's number one. Number two, like, this is also self-preservation. When you're trying to take our way away, when you're literally out there, like, I don't understand why these women won't vote for us. Let's take away their right to vote. Seems like it's also self-preservation to maybe vote against the Republicans at this point.
10:50I think that what I have found the most exposed part of MAGA is growing up in a hyper-evangelical family. And now everything that they told you in Sunday school, be good to the poor, all of the things. When I have asked straight up, do you not have empathy for these people? no we don't have empathy and i think it's sucked the empathy from people and now it's toxic it's stunning it is stunning that somebody can say i follow jesus christ what would jesus do but i want to punish poor people i want to punish brown people it is it is stunning to me but it's not new no it's just so exposed now yeah it's so exposed it is so exposed you guys remember right after Trump was inaugurated, they did that, like whatever prayer service at the National Cathedral.
11:47And they had a woman here, there who was the minister. And she gave a sermon where she included some comments about having empathy effectively for the least of these. I don't remember the specific language, but it was about the immigrant and it was about transgender people and the looks on their faces, including JD Vance, who's like this big Catholic, you know, and how disgusted they were and how the right was horrified that this minister had asked them to have empathy and care and compassion for some of the groups that have been directly targeted by MAGA and obviously in this administration have been directly under attack by MAGA.
12:25I thought it was one of the more revealing moments about the ideology at the core of MAGA and what this has all become. The fucking Pope is coming out against the United States government and the Trump and He's American. He's American. And I mean, I'm not giving any credit to Catholics, but I'm just saying like, that's how fucking bad it is. Listener, the hot book of the summer. Oops, I have it the wrong way. Take two. Listener, the hot book of the summer is now the cool book of the fall. It is in Trump's America. I can tell you with absolute certainty, the best book that has ever been written.
13:06And believe me, a lot of people are talking about it. Everybody's talking about it. Everybody's talking about it. It took us one day to write it. Because we're on day one. Because we took a cognitive test and it was book, write, done. All right. Anyway, please buy our book. It's a great way to support us. It is a really fun read for the fall. Curl up with your pumpkin spice lattes and just enjoy living the American dream. and dipshit trumps America.

And that is why Quince has become my go-to because they have beautiful, timeless pieces that people and yourself will wear for years. From Mongolian cashmere sweaters to Italian wool coats, everything is premium quality at a price that actually makes sense. Quince has something for everyone, soft Mongolian cashmere sweaters for$50 that look and feel like designer pieces. I am so guilty. I bought one cashmere sweater last year from Quince. Then I ordered it in like three other colors because they are so fantastic.

That's quince, Q-U-I-N-C-E.com slash had it to get free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.com slash had it. The Christian nationalist movement, you know, when you track it back, it's rooted in KKK racism and it continues. And I have always known being an atheist raised in the Bible Belt that these people were cruel. They demeaned the poor. They demeaned the sick. Like they felt they were entitled to things that other people, their neighbors or people that look different from them, weren't entitled to.
18:07When Trump won, my mother, I mean, just absolute unapologetic atheist. She said, finally, somebody is going to she's from Dallas. She's Jennifer. Finally, somebody is going to expose these damn evangelicals for the hypocrites. I always knew they were, which is Trump. So he exposed it. But we knew back when Reagan was president, they were all full of shit. They were racist. They wanted money. And they, you know, their faith was something that they hid behind so that they could justify all of their entitlement. And now that he's exposed them, they just kind of sunbathe in their hypocrisy and flex it.
18:46And I think that's the part where I'm just like, oh, now y 'all just own being hypocrites. There's this some girlfriends of mine that still live in Oklahoma City sent me these text screenshots of an Instagram story. So there's this mega church based in Oklahoma City called Life Church. And its sole purpose is to expand and make more churches, more churches, more churches. And that, you know, the mega church pastor wears the, you know, he has the walking microphone. He's got the dunk tape, the rock band, the light shows. A stylist. A stylist, just obnoxious, a Saul Get Out, huge MAGA guy, right?
19:23And so while all of this stuff is going on, you have kids that are getting taken from their parents or parents getting taken from their kids with people in masks. You have the president fighting to keep SNAP benefits from poor people. You have Moses Mike Grindr Johnson fighting to make sure that poor people don't get Medicaid. So what they're doing at Life.Church, which now I think they're in like 11 states, it's just a hideous moral rod of a church. They on Instagram are saying, we just have our one billionth Bible app episode download. And it shows this huge arena with all these Christians in there with the light show and the rock band.
20:08And I just thought that is exactly what I view these evangelical Christians as. It's like, what a moment right now that you could be speaking out for all of these marginalized people, but instead you're in an overpriced auditorium with horrible architecture, because at least the Catholics had the decency to have nice architecture, right? True. And these ridiculous rock bands, and y 'all are celebrating a Bible download app, and you're doing absolutely no good, and you're performatively posting that on Instagram so that you don't have to think about how fucked up your sect of Christianity is, that you openly celebrate and thumb your nose at every teaching that your alleged Lord and personal Savior is supposed to prompt you to do.
20:58The hypocrisy in the religious right in the Bible Belt, it makes me insane. It just you're right, though. You're right, though, about the way that many people are being exposed right now by this Trump administration, including I mean, I think the Epstein files stuff just is incredibly revealing. Right. And exposes the way that they wanted to use this when they thought it was politically convenient. And they ignored the fact that Donald Trump was close friends with Jeffrey Epstein for a literal decade. They ignored the fact that he acted guilty as hell whenever he got asked about the lay-in or whenever he got asked about releasing the Epstein files.
21:39Suddenly, he was not so sure that disclosure was the right move, right? Ignored all of that because they thought in their partisan brains this would just be about Democrats. And so now here we are, and some of the people like Kash Patel, who made a career and a living off of talking about releasing the Epstein files, is they're in the position of power and suddenly it's nothing to see here. Case closed. He killed himself. Don't worry about it. And all of them acting so incredibly guilty. You know, it's the one issue where I've actually seen the MAGA base take on serious water and dissent from Donald Trump.
22:14I mean, he is underwater on his handling of this one issue with his own voters. And I've genuinely never seen that before because it typically is so cultish. But because they were so hardline about, you know, I mean, the reality is this was this global pedophile ring of elites because they were so hardline about releasing those. And they saw Donald Trump in their mind as some hero who was going to expose all the traitors and have this sort of like moral cleansing. I think it's been genuinely difficult for them to deal with and have had to reckon somewhat with the way that this man is just a con artist who lied to you and is himself so directly implicated in all of this.
22:55It's stunning. It's really, really stunning that so many people, when I've lived in this religious culture, and I want to get your take on it too, Pumps, and they claim that they love children and families so much, are just so morally out to lunch on this Jeffrey Epstein issue. It is just a level of willful blindness and willful denial in this cancer that is MAGA that they have no problem throwing anybody under the bus for this power. And for some of the electorate, the power has become such a caricature of what power is. For some people in the electorate, And it sounds so crazy, but genuinely, I think for some people, it's just to bully liberals.
23:49They like it. It's become their whole identity is owning the libs and bullying liberals. They don't believe anything other than demeaning liberals, even people of the same color. It's become so toxic. And when I think about the power that the tech oligarchs have and that we started this with them doing AI, and I think about it, and I'm sure you get this too. You get these death threats and online trolls. And we have these nameless, faceless people and or bots that get into your phone and docks you and all of these things. And typically, you would go to government for a remedy for that. This needs regulation.
24:29Our kids are not safe. We are not safe. We have these no-name, no-face people threatening sexual violence, threatening assault against us. And that's something that government would help remedy. And so Fox News covered me for a couple days in a row. They were mad about something, whatever. So I get all these. That's happened a few times, Jennifer. Yeah, I know. To be fair. So they start giving. I'm a little jealous. So they start giving me all. I start getting all these death threats. And I thought, well, who am I supposed to call? Kash Patel? Like, are they going to care? But this is hilarious, you guys.
25:03Within the threats, people are reporting me at Kash Patel. You need to check her out. Oh, my God.
25:16it's like one one post is like you know i hope you get charlie kirk and then below that hey at cash patel you need to look into her and it's the same person and i'm like you just had a crime how do we what is going on here like what the fuck i mean and even if you had committed some kind of a crime it's not like anyone would have any confidence that cash patel would be the person to deal with any actual criminality because he's also the most like pathetically incompetent embarrassing person i have zero that's the other thing is like our fascism is so embarrassing and incompetent as well you know it's so embarrassing meal team six rolling into cities like our fascist remember when they did their military parade and i was thinking like oh my god this is going to be this like fascist display of power and force and And then it's some rickety 60 year old tank squeaking down the street.
26:08I was furious because I was like, are you kidding me? All the shit that we've had to listen to and all the elections we've had to lose because we had to spend money on the military. And this is what's rolling out. Are you fucking kidding me right now? We I mean, at least they should have hired like Hollywood to come out and do it. At least we have that. No, it was bad. But OK, let's gossip for a second. Kash Patel and the girlfriend. right okay i've read and i haven't really deep dived into it as much as i need to because there's so like the blow job and there's so many other things who's bubba drawing my attention i wasn't sure what blow job you're oh yeah i got it now the one that kinks gave to bubba so but cash patel's girlfriend you know he got it he used a pj to go watch her sing country and western somewhere and then he tweeted that she was a great american and she had done more she's like 26 she's done more for america than you know millions of americans that i know that somehow she's this incredible patriot and then i've also seen that somehow she's like a a super israel like spy that's honey potted him i don't know if that's true or not but now i've also read that he she She has FBI security detail on her.
27:28And this is just the girlfriend, not the wife. Crystal, what do you know about this girlfriend of Kash Patel? I mean, that's pretty much you pretty much summarized it. I think people with the honeypot thing are just looking at him and looking at her and going. That's what I was like. There's no way that this is a couple in real life. There's just no way. I think that's that's where that. And then I do think she was like a PragerU influencer. She's definitely super pro-Israel. So that's that's where that, you know, that just asking questions came from. But yeah, I mean, he's spending the same man who went after the previous FBI director for his use of the private jet.

28:06And that's fine. Like, I agree with that. I don't think taxpayer dollars should be used for frivolous purposes. But this same man, now that he holds the office, is using the private jet to fly to her stuff and fly her back home and use FBI taxpayer dollars to run her security detail, etc. And then it's just insulting for him to come out and be like, she's a country music sensation and she's the greatest patron. She's done more for America than anyone ever could. Again, embarrassing. It's embarrassing. Frankly. And, you know, my show Breaking Points, I have on Miss Sagar. He's ideologically more on the right, you know, certainly than I am, but he's more right wing.
28:43So our audience can be somewhat diverse. and hating cash patel and thinking that he is the most incompetent man on the planet is like a unifying moment for anyone who would come to watch our show oh ted cruz would be as well i think ben shapiro there's a number of characters that would fall into that category for sure okay ben shapiro let's talk about that i thought okay after charlie charlie kirk died he was like i'm gonna take over turning point and i was like never happened larry there's no way that is going to happen his his voice and then i just can't get ever over the time that he said on with cameras recording him that he was so confused about cardi b's song oh god that he had spoken to his wife about it who was a physician because he couldn't understand why she would sing about this and his wife told him that it was some sort of medical condition and then i realized oh that's what's wrong with these people they don't know how to fuck they've never had orgasm he's never been around the problems what ass pussy you know i mean that was that was an iconic moment if we're being honest incredible it was incredible he was so serious totally completely serious my wife says that um but you know i mean shapiro it's interesting right now you guys following all the like fuentes fallout and all of that sort of stuff and like nick fuentes the genuine neo-nazi genuinely hates jews talks about like the threat of organized juries says he likes hitler was buddy with kanye i mean all this stuff like horrific racist overtly racist human being right ben Shapiro and Mark Levin and these other characters think that they have the moral high ground in order to, you know, criticize Nick Fuentes, which again, this is a disgusting human being who literally likes Hitler.
30:39But you guys were good with all of the other racism, all of the racism. And Dinesh D'Souza, too, you were good with all of the racism until it came for your particular identity group you affiliate with. and then when it was about Jewish people in Israel, then Ben Shapiro speaks up with Dinesh D'Souza when it's suddenly when, you know, the Indian hate is just out of control. Disgusting, right? What's coming out of this movement. Now he draws the line. And it's like, no, the logical endpoint of Christian nationalism is that nobody, anybody who isn't a white Christian is going to be in the out group.
31:15Like that is what your movement is about. Stephen Miller is in the White House doing a white nationalist policy And they call him the prime minister because he's so powerful. And so where did you think that this was going to go? You have embraced these principles. And this is the logical endpoint, which is exactly why you have this genuine neo-Nazi who is now one of the most popular figures on the right. It's utterly insane. So they call Stephen Miller the prime minister? Yeah, internally, they call him the prime minister. OK, let's talk about let's talk about the psychology of him. He's Jewish, but he seems kind of Nazi like I'm just going to say it.
32:00I mean, he seems like he's a student of that movement. And that's just my opinion. It's and then you have his family members who have said Jewish people that are just appalled by his actions. And then, of course, we all saw his wife's stage five meltdown on Piers Morgan. And then, you know, they're just having a rational conversation. And then she's like, you're saying this because I'm Jewish and blah, blah. And I always feel like, Crystal, that like the far right Jewish people, they say this is the only marginalized group that matters. This is the one that matters. And like you were just saying, they go to seek refuge in the political party that at their parades, boat parades and insurrection carried Nazi flags around.
32:46So they go there for safety and then they're mystified why people in their tent are anti-Semitic. It's just wild. And, you know, it's going to the same thing's going to happen to these demon queens. That's what I call them. Scott Besant, Peter Thiel, Sam Altman. They're all going to find out. Tim Cook, they're going to find out like the white Christian nationalists of Heritage Foundation that have been playing this long before Stephen Miller came around and long before Donald Trump came around are going to throw you and your Nellie ass under the bus so fast. It's going to make your head spin. You are not going to be the magic homosexual that is going to survive in this regime.
33:29Yeah. Well, and on Stephen Miller, I mean, yes, I think he is a Jewish Nazi. Like, I think his ideology is identical. You just swap out like Muslims or Hispanic people for the Jews and you have a very similar ideology that has been given incredible power within this White House. And he's I mean, he is running not just the immigration policy. He's also very involved in foreign policy. They're doing this like whites only refugee policy. The DHS Twitter account is just out and out Nazi posting all day long. And people talk about this divide in the Republican Party. Effectively, the divide is between whether to hate the Jews or the Muslims for like that's the intellectual divide.
34:09whether to, you know, be horrified by the old Holocaust or the new Holocaust that, you know, we committed in Gaza. I mean, that's the nature of the divide. I saw Laura Loomer, who is describes herself as a proud Islamophobe who is the most openly racist person, wants Soran to be deported, all that stuff. Right. And she's out here saying we have a problem with Nazis in the party. It's like, you have the same idea. You may like she's Jewish, so she may not hate the Jews. She may like carve out that one group. Otherwise, your whole ideology is the exact same. So it's, you know, incredible to watch them sort of grappling with the fruits of the very ideology that they have supported and promoted this whole time.
34:53I was just going to say, and it goes to, you know, the Marjorie Taylor Greene, the big, you know, revelation that she's had, she's changed, which we call bullshit on. But now she's like, you know, people are threatening to kill me. I'm like, you unleashed that mob years ago when you started empowering somebody to talk the rhetoric that donald trump did and now you're a victim of it so it's a reoccurring theme within this party is we're going to be the meanest most hateful wish the worst possible things on people but we're exempt and and to me there's an entitlement to evangelical christianity that that tracks for me like i i see that because that's how i was taught i'm better i'm different i'm special so it doesn't super so you think some of these marginalized groups like Like Laura Loomer would think she's the special Jewish person.
35:42Right. Dinesh Sazooza would think he's the special. Scott Besson's the special gay. I think entitlement could be the through line on all of that. Okay. You know, I feel like one of the core sort of conservative traits is not giving a shit about anything until it directly affects you. Totally. You know, how many times have you heard like, oh, now that I had this health issue or my child had this health issue, I see the problem with the health care system or now that my community is affected. I see the racism and I see that this is a major problem. But it's like it has to impact them directly. I mean, talk about like empathy.
36:18I mean, it's just like complete devoid of an ability to project out, OK, what could this ideology mean for me? Or what is it doing to these other people? And what does that mean for their lives? It's just it has to like impact them directly before they really get what the issue is. okay something else you said you'd had it with are minorities in ice i mean that connects to this right yeah not only do you have no moral compass and how many times have you seen these guys they've got their masks on so you can't see their whole face but what you can see it's like a brown skin tone and a dude who looks like his last name is probably like lopez or hernandez or something it's like what is what is wrong with you not only do you not have morality apparently you don't have self-preservation.
37:02I mean, this is, these people hate you. They hate you. They hate your family. They hate your kids. They hate your future grandkids. They don't think you belong here. You're not a quote unquote heritage American. You're never going to belong. And you're the one implementing the violent force against your own community. I just can't wrap my head around that. No, it's, it's insane. And I feel the exact same thing that you feel when you see the ICE agents. When I see Pam Bondi or I see Caroline Levitt or I see these women that genderwash this administration where Sean Duffy, Secretary of Transportation, says on camera, women shouldn't want to have careers to try to be happy.
37:46They should want to have husbands. Oh, my God, your mug is so cute. Oh, I want to see. Husbands and kids. Oh, that's so cute. For those of you that are listening, it's a cute little teddy bear mug. And then when I see Pam Bondi and Caroline Levitt and Kristi Noem, and they are riding the coattails of the suffragettes and all of these women that fought so hard for them to have the job that they have, to be in front of the cameras that they are, to sit behind the desk that they're sitting on. And they are tearing it all down with zero self-awareness as to what generations before them fought, how unworthy these women are of these positions because they're not taking the time or care.
38:31And they're playing this role that a lot of authoritarians use where they use trot women out. So they make these apolitical women feel like, oh, it's fine. They're not anti-women because these women are for it. Oh, and they have a Christian cross. The Lord, she's the Lord likes her. She loves the Lord. So we're going to go ahead and go along with this. She must be a good person. Yeah. I mean, you have to you have to take seriously this repeal the 19th Amendment stuff, not that because it would be like easy to effectuate. But I mean, all these things that start out as sort of like memes or jokes have become reality with Trump 2.0.
39:04I mean, they're really trying to go for it. They're trying to make it so that the only people that count and can vote and have any sort of influence are like this narrow swath of people that to them count as whole human beings. So I think you have to take it extremely seriously. And they're putting on pieces about how women ruined the workplace and were to blame for absolutely everything that's ever happened. It's like, you know, what happened to this idea of personal responsibility? Also, I thought you guys were big on that. Right. That that thing in The New York Times was a real moment for me.
39:34Right. When we covered on our other podcast, I hit news, We covered Pete Hegseth's pastor. So the secretary of defense, personal good friend and personal pastor on 60 Minutes called for doing away with the 19th Amendment. That made me, you know, really pay attention because all the crazy shit that Republicans were talking about doing 20 years ago in the state legislature in Oklahoma. And when the national news cover, they say, oh, these people are so crazy. MAGA is doing it now, right now in the federal government. So I listen to the fringes because I used to live in the fringes and now the fringes are mainstream.
40:11So I listen to what they're saying. And when I saw that nobody at the New York Times thought, wait a minute, if we put the headline and it said, did Jews ruin the workplace? Do you think we could run that? Of course they wouldn't fucking run it. Nope. But the rise of misogyny and sexism, when you see mainstream media like the New York Times run an opinion piece that they didn't have to run, they shouldn't have even entertained that, especially with the rise of when women lose rights like they have in our state in Oklahoma, rape victims are having their babies. and it's the poorest women that suffer from this the most, and they fall prey to more violence and domestic violence and all sorts of things.
40:58For these people that make these decisions at a desk in New York City to run an article like that in the New York Times and how damaging that is to women, compounding with these dipshit women in the Trump administration, I just really get frustrated with where we are and not hearing enough male voices speak up about this right now. You hear a lot of male voices talking about the male loneliness epidemic. And I'm not saying that's not real because it clearly is. But maybe women are lonely too. We just don't bitch about it as much. And you just don't. You hear women being codependent. okay, how can we help the boys?
41:43How can we help boys not be lonely? We want to solve problems. But I need to hear more men right now on the left really speak up about the rise of misogyny, about the way they speak up about the rise of anti-Semitism. It needs to be on the same platform because all of these human rights are interconnected. Yeah. And I mean, think through what their actual position is. So they're like, okay, you need to be at home with your kids. OK, then if I'm doing that and I'm not working, you certainly don't want to help out with like you're cutting food stamps and you're cutting Medicaid and making it so we can't survive.
42:18I mean, those are gender issues as well, because it's mostly single moms who are struggling, who are suffering when those sorts of programs are cut as well. So they want you to work and have personal responsibility and take care of yourself. But then they also want you at home with the kids. I mean, basically, they want to use us as scapegoats because that's what their whole politics is. And the one group that they can never point the finger at is the billionaire class, who are the ones who are actually the ones rigging the system and making everybody's life miserable and sucking up all the water and jacking up our electric bills and trying to replace all the workers with robots.
42:53That's the place where you actually need to point the finger because they're the ones that are truly causing all of the problems. They can't do that because they're in bed with them. So instead, it's a series of, OK, well, what other group can I scapegoat to try to deflect the blame from the place where it actually belongs? And so it's queer people, it's transgender people, it's immigrants, it's minorities and it's women. Yeah. You know, it's anyone that they can point the fade. The reason why you're miserable is because you're bitch ex-wife or the reason why you're miserable is because these crazy cat ladies, these ladies in New York City voting for Sharia law or whatever.
43:29It's got to be. It's got to be women. And that is central to their politics because they can't possibly look at what the actual problem is. So they have to constantly deflect to this group or that group in order to misplace and ascribe the blame. Adiorflibanserin is FDA approved and has been clinically proven to increase sexual desire in certain premenopause women who are bothered by a low libido.

Use coupon code HADDIT for$10 telemed appointments at Addi.com. ask your doctor about Addy today that's a d d y i dot com use coupon code had it for ten dollar telemed appointment at addy.com okay crystal let's play had it or hit it oh my god welcome to had it or hit it i would hit it had it i hit it every day sometimes twice a day okay Okay. Had it or hit it. Sydney Sweeney. Oh my God. Had it. So had it. I have so had it with this pick me ass bitch.
47:35I mean, by the way, I've also had it with, remember when the jeans ad came out for American Eagle and she's like, jeans, you know, give you your blonde hair, whatever she said. And there are a bunch of liberals and leftists who didn't want to be like, you know, woke schools. And they're like, it's cool. We don't even care. And I was like, guys, we should care that this major American brand is flirting with eugenicism in order for like to turn a profit. Like that's not okay. And we should feel comfortable calling that out. So now that she's sort of like exposed herself, I feel like, you know, that view has been completely vindicated because she knows what she's doing.
48:12She wants to appeal to these like right-wing ethnocentric white nationalists effectively. She thought this would be great for her career. Turns out they don't want to see an artsy movie about like a female boxer who's a lesbian like christy this movie she just put out that totally bombed at the box office but no i mean i find her embarrassing and pathetic honestly like she wanted to lean into she thought the vibe had shifted and this would be great for her career and so i'm happy to see her fall flat on her face frankly yeah the whole thing grows i agree women that, you know, she is fine latching on to a political party where the secretary of defense, personal pastor, took the time in an interview to say, yes, Pete and I are very tight.
48:57We're close friends and I want to do away with the 19th Amendment. And this is just at some point when you go seek refuge with the people that hate everybody and you're one of the groups, minority groups that they hate, at some point those knives are going to be turned on you. Well, and here's the thing. Here's the thing. Beautiful girl, great body, giant boobs. They love her for that. Second she turns 35 or 40 or whatever their expiration date is, they're done with her. They're done with her. Like you've set yourself up to have this incredibly short shelf life. And they don't even care about you now.
49:32The only time they'll go see you is when you're doing these like, you know, explicitly sort of like sexual roles. If you want to do something with any character or depth, they already have no use for you. But yeah, she declared she registered as a Republican in Florida in this year, like in the year 2025 to register as a Republican as a woman. That is a choice. That is a choice. Yeah, I don't buy this bullshit that she's like, oh, she's just not that smart and doesn't know what to bullshit. She knows exactly what she's doing. And I agree with you. The Republican view of women is that it is breeding years only and then kicked out to the pasture.
50:09There is such an ageism deeply embedded into their misogyny that is so embedded into Republican culture. But those things that we tell little girls, like these little girls grow up to be these beautiful women that are amazing and you fight for marginalized rights. But it's amazing how much the cultural impact of the stuff that Trump is doing is going to have on generations. That's what worries me. generations that it takes it's going to take so much time so many years to peel out of all of this okay um had it or hit it zoran mom donnie oh hit it i mean not literally but i mean i think he's the future right i genuinely think i'm so excited about the possibility in the democratic party right now in the way that i have not been in a very long time since i was like hopeful about Bernie 2020 probably because you see all of these great candidates who are very similar to him who don't give a fuck like they're not waiting in line they're disgusted with these old entrenched elites and I don't even mean literally old I just mean like out of touch out of date don't know how to fight don't stand for anything they're just done with it they've had it right and um you know whether it's Graham Platten or a main Abdul Al-Sayed I saw this great guy Cameron Paskey who's running in New York's 12th congressional you've got a bunch of primary challengers jumping in and i think the democratic base you guys are emblematic with this is just in a different place than they were before they're they're done playing by the rules they're done with when you go low we go high they're like no we're going to grab the wheel we want leaders who stand for something who aren't going to word salad mealy mouth when they get asked a straightforward question cory booker we're actually going to get in there and fight and so i think that is the direction the party's going as part of why right now that and election results are part of why i feel hopeful.
52:04Zoran's such a big part of that because his politics are so hopeful. And if they could succeed in New York City against all the odds and against its political dynasty, etc., I truly feel that anything is possible. That makes me feel better. And the billionaires. I mean, they spent a shit ton of money. And you guys, oh, yes, the Internet is so good because I saw like I went to Zoran's victory party. I got home and I was still kind of excited and I had to wind down. I was looking at Twitter and like people were like sending tweets to the billionaires that threatened to move all these hedge fund guys.
52:37It was like, I expect that apartment to be on Zillow by 9 a.m. tomorrow morning. Just hilarious shit. And of course, they're not moving. And in like 10 days after Zoron won, luxury home sales surged in New York City. because I think that Democrats have got to start messaging when government provides services for people that are managed well. People like it. That's the purpose of government. And we have to start owning. It's not a handout. It's not people mooching or being parasites. The moochers and the parasites are the billionaires that had the luxury to throw eight, ten million dollars to feed some Islamophobic campaign.
53:20and then go, oh, JK, we're good with you. We're not leaving anything. Yeah, let's work together, Bill Ackman. Oh, I'm looking forward to working. Why would he want to work with you? Why would he want to work with you? No, I mean, the fundamental promise of Zoran's campaign is this city's been run for the rich. Now it's going to be run for your average, everyday working class person. And that is a revolutionary idea in our politics right now. And it's one that the CNBC crowd and all the financial elites feel incredibly, incredibly threatened by. Bringing in Lena Kahn as part of his transition team is a real shot across the bow as well.
53:54So, no, I find it incredibly hopeful because ultimately, if we don't have a Democratic Party that knows how to fight and knows how critically to confront capital, then even if we get rid of Trump and Kankles and Mike Johnson, all this cast of characters, we are still going to have to deal with the rise of fascism. because if you don't have a party that's meeting people's material needs, you're always going to leave fertile soil for this politics of scapegoating the immigrants, the women, the trans people, et cetera. So it's not just I think this is the correct electoral approach. I think it's the right moral approach.
54:28And I think it's the only way we actually fight fascism. And we can look back to our own past and our own history to see that that is the case. Right. make people so desperate that they think any little tidbit you get it's really depressing but crystal gives me hey okay last one crystal had it or hit it the united states of america okay so i mean you guys are going to ask me this um i will say that i hit it but with some caveats so i genuinely i genuinely love and i'm like emotionally inspired by the core concept of us being this, you know, out of many, one nation of immigrants, of all kinds of people from all kinds of places and built on these ideas and these foundational principles and having the freedom to speech and tell Trump that he's got cankles.
55:19Like, I think that that is actually really beautiful and special and fairly unique project that we're engaged in. We've never done it perfectly. It's taken on some major water. I'm very frustrated with my own countrymen who voted this man into office not once but twice. But that bedrock foundational principle of what America is, I find really beautiful and inspiring. And I am not willing to let that go. So fuck all these people that want to make it some blood and soil ethnostate. I am not letting go of the vision on the Statue of Liberty of what America could be and should be. I agree. I really agree.
55:56I feel like there was a time period right after Trump won. And I know that this was universal for all of us that have a pulse and an ounce of empathy that you felt like, God damn it, fuck this country. And it felt really hopeless. And that was the intended result. And then they started flooding the zone. But we're all still in this thing. And I think about the the way they're treating immigrants and I think about what the Statue of Liberty says and it sounds kind of juvenile to think about or maybe like Hollywood-esque to think about but we're Americans that's the way we think we think in terms like this we think in terms of heroes and doing right look at all of our our one of the greatest things we've done in this country is film and look at what the films do they always celebrate the heroes we always commend the heroes and right now we're living in a time period where everybody is celebrating the dorkiest most demented illiterate incompetent villains they're not attractive losers total could you imagine having to have sex with steven miller no wonder his wife lost her mind on pierce morgan no it's she's probably i mean it'd probably just take anything to just send her into orbit she has to get naked with him oh horrifying yeah absolutely horrifying but no i mean that's to go back to zoran like that was the other thing about his campaign is like that vision of america that we believe in and that millions of other americans believe in that's what he put on display was new york it's not this like scary evil place where people are getting you know murdered on the subway every it's this hopeful story about immigrants It's always been in New York City, a story of immigrants and all of these different communities and cultures coming together and pursuing their dreams.
57:50I used to live in New York, obviously, when I was on MSNBC, and it made me so nostalgic for New York. It made me miss New York so much because that part of it to me is so incredibly inspiring and beautiful. And so to me, you talk about film, like he knew how to use totally video and multimedia in order to paint that vision of what he believes New York should be and could be and is. And so, you know, I think that that is the most important counterexample we've had for the Republican narrative, the MAGA narrative about what they want America to be, which is incredibly exclusionary. It's a place just for rich people, really.
58:27And that if you aren't white and you're not Christian, if you're not quote unquote heritage America, then we hate you and you don't belong. Crystal ball. We love you. I could talk to you for 500 hours. I know you are definitely a cougar like pumps and well, Kyle is younger than me. So I do have that. That's hot. I love that. You really are a cougar. But we love you. I'm so happy to have you on. And I hope we continue to collab and continue to keep building a big ecosystem where we all support each other and fight for democracy and fight for these candidates like Zoran that remind us that we have to keep fighting for this country.
59:11So, Crystal, thank you so much for joining us. Thank you, ladies. Thank you for what you do. You both are so important to, I think, that coalition that is coming together and right now is winning. So thank you. Thanks, Crystal. Thanks, Crystal. Pumps, tell them. We will see you next Tuesday and Thursday.
